- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Well, good morning and happy toesday. Thank you so much
- 0:05Speaker 2: for starting your day with us. We appreciate you. No
- 0:07Speaker 2: Ricky Sanches today, but Kevin mannow has those three things
- 0:10Speaker 2: that you need to know.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Thank you so much, Zach, I do indeed, I hate
- 0:13Speaker 3: to be a downer here, but Sherwin Williams just named
- 0:16Speaker 3: its loneliest color of twenty twenty six. It's the color
- 0:21Speaker 3: that is hardly ever purchased. That's why they call it this.
- 0:23Speaker 3: It's called off beat green, and it looks like asparagus soup,
- 0:28Speaker 3: kind of like snot. I totally get why it's not
- 0:30Speaker 3: popular looking at it. They describe it sure when Williams
- 0:33Speaker 3: describes it as a vivid, citric lime green that reflects
- 0:36Speaker 3: a growing desire for individuality. And they do call it
- 0:39Speaker 3: the loneliest color because it just sits on a shelf
- 0:41Speaker 3: and never gets used. But they are trying to change that.
- 0:44Speaker 3: They're working with Lebron James and his foundation to raise
- 0:47Speaker 3: its profile essentially, And there's a sweep steak so you
- 0:50Speaker 3: can win stuff. If you order Offbeat Green, you'll be
- 0:53Speaker 3: entered to win a bunch of stuff, including money and
- 0:55Speaker 3: a basketball signed by Lebron, So they're trying to trying
- 0:58Speaker 3: to push some cans.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Why do we maybe just stop making it?
- 1:02Speaker 3: That's one way to look at it.
- 1:04Speaker 4: I thought it's much smarter. Yeah.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Hey, if you're a fan of the movie Cable Guy
- 1:08Speaker 3: with Jim Carrey and Matthew Broderick, or if you're a fan.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Of the show New Girl, you're gonna like this one.
- 1:13Speaker 3: That movie is being turned into a TV series starring
- 1:16Speaker 3: Jake Johnson and Damon Wayne's junior from New Girl. They're
- 1:19Speaker 3: reuniting for a new TV version of Cable Guy. It's
- 1:22Speaker 3: not gonna be like a straight remake, but it is happening.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Hulu has ordered the pilot, so that's coming soon. Lastly,
- 1:29Speaker 3: I know it's early in the week, but if you're
- 1:31Speaker 3: looking for plans, Friday Night Brew at the Zoo is back.
- 1:35Speaker 3: It's adults only. It's happening this Friday night from seven
- 1:38Speaker 3: thirty to ten thirty. Can stroll through the Nashville Zoo
- 1:40Speaker 3: with a drink in your hand. They're gonna have over
- 1:43Speaker 3: sixty vendors, live music, local food trucks. It really is
- 1:46Speaker 3: the best this Friday night Brew at the Zoo.
- 1:49Speaker 4: There you go, three things you now know. Coming up
- 1:52Speaker 4: in just a few minutes.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Tickets to see Malcolm Todd at The Truth.
- 1:55Speaker 4: I love this, dude. It's gonna be playing The Truth
- 1:57Speaker 4: and you can be there too.
- 1:58Speaker 3: We've got those tickets for the first callar here on
- 2:01Speaker 3: the river.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning on the river,
- 2:07Speaker 1: saying good morning to Sylvia in Smyrna.
- 2:10Speaker 4: How are you? I am good. Tell us everything that we.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Would ask you right now. Give us the answers. What
- 2:15Speaker 3: are you doing? Where you go and where do you work?
- 2:17Speaker 4: I am dropping off my daughter of practice early, yes,
- 2:24Speaker 4: high school soccer.
- 2:25Speaker 3: What time do they practice here during the summer. How
- 2:28Speaker 3: early are these practices?
- 2:30Speaker 4: It's fifteen to eight am. That's actually so crazy.
- 2:34Speaker 2: You're supposed to be able to sleep in during the summer,
- 2:36Speaker 2: but no, they're ruining her life. Also, it rained so
- 2:41Speaker 2: much last night that I'm shocked that they are still
- 2:43Speaker 2: having practice the tryouts in the rain.
- 2:46Speaker 5: So wow.
- 2:48Speaker 3: The practice is I didn't know if it was like
- 2:50Speaker 3: an indoor field or something, but it's outside.
- 2:52Speaker 4: It's outside. That's rough. You said, high school soccer. Where
- 2:55Speaker 4: does she go to school? High school?
- 2:58Speaker 3: I feel like, yeah, yeah, shout out to Stuart's Greek.
- 3:00Speaker 3: But Zach and I are kind of like, uh, you know,
- 3:02Speaker 3: peeing on her parade here. But she probably loves it, right, Like,
- 3:06Speaker 3: she wouldn't be getting up this early during the summer
- 3:08Speaker 3: if she didn't love it.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Oh yeah, she's dedicated.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Do you think she's gonna play in the Olympics so
- 3:14Speaker 3: Zach's mom. Zach's mom was an Olympic soccer player.
- 3:17Speaker 4: That's awesome. See there is hope.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Well, hey, waking up early paid off for you for her.
- 3:25Speaker 3: You guys are the first caller of the day, so
- 3:26Speaker 3: you're getting tickets to see Malcolm Todd when he's in
- 3:29Speaker 3: Nashville in October. After kay, who amongst you is the
- 3:35Speaker 3: Malcolm Todd fan?
- 3:36Speaker 1: My daughter in the backseat, she was like, you have
- 3:38Speaker 1: to call, you have.
- 3:40Speaker 4: To call what's her name?
- 3:47Speaker 1: Job?
- 3:48Speaker 4: Thank you guys, Thank you so much.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Have a great practice, Amira, have a great day, Sylvia.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Thank you guys for for waking up with us. And
- 3:55Speaker 3: we're gonna put you on hold to get all your into Okay,
- 3:57Speaker 3: thank you. I love that reaction. That of excitement this
- 4:01Speaker 3: early is great.
- 4:02Speaker 4: I'm not affectious. It was the oh my god, in
- 4:04Speaker 4: the background for me. We've got more of them tomorrow,
- 4:07Speaker 4: be here if you want them.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Ricky is, Zach and Mano in the Morning on the.
- 4:13Speaker 3: River, Zach, My children did something last night that you
- 4:17Speaker 3: could not do. What what do you mean I can't do?
- 4:20Speaker 3: They sat through a two and a half hour long movie.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Oh yeah, there's no way that would happen.
- 4:24Speaker 3: We had the best time. We had a little movie
- 4:26Speaker 3: night at home.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Uh.
- 4:27Speaker 3: And it was a movie I wanted to go see
- 4:28Speaker 3: in theaters, but I missed out on that. I didn't
- 4:30Speaker 3: even realize it was like appropriate for kids. But we
- 4:32Speaker 3: watched it last night and we all absolutely loved it.
- 4:35Speaker 3: What movie was it? I will tell you, ha ha.
- 4:37Speaker 3: That's called a tease. Right Afterday said right after the song,
- 4:41Speaker 3: I'll let you know what it was next down the.
- 4:43Speaker 1: River, Ricky is, Zach and Mano in the Morning on
- 4:48Speaker 1: the River.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Ricky's out this week it's Kevin and zag hanging with you.
- 4:52Speaker 3: And I mentioned the second ago before that song that
- 4:54Speaker 3: I watched a movie with my family last night, absolutely
- 4:57Speaker 3: loved it. This is not in any way she performed sponsored.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I just if I see a good movie or something,
- 5:01Speaker 3: I like to bring it to everybody share with the class.
- 5:04Speaker 3: And I am certainly not breaking news on this one.
- 5:06Speaker 3: This was a huge movie when it was in theaters.
- 5:08Speaker 3: But Project Hail Mary with Ryan Gosling.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Oh, I've heard actually really great things about it.
- 5:14Speaker 3: It was so good, And when it was in theaters,
- 5:16Speaker 3: I did not realize. I feel like it wasn't necessarily
- 5:18Speaker 3: marketed as a movie that kids would enjoy.
- 5:21Speaker 2: I would have never guessed that you were going to
- 5:23Speaker 2: put your eleven and nine year old.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Hold to day close I mean eight and ten. Yeah,
- 5:27Speaker 3: you're right, eight and.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Ten, that you would have let them watch it, because like,
- 5:30Speaker 2: based on the commercials, it doesn't look like a family
- 5:32Speaker 2: friendly movie.
- 5:33Speaker 1: No.
- 5:33Speaker 3: And then my wife was a little worried that, you know,
- 5:35Speaker 3: like some of the messaging about like the end of
- 5:37Speaker 3: the world and stuff and the sun dying like that
- 5:40Speaker 3: might freak them out a little bit, maybe given nightmares.
- 5:42Speaker 4: And we'll see, we'll see if it did. But they
- 5:44Speaker 4: love it.
- 5:45Speaker 3: They did ask way too many questions while we were
- 5:48Speaker 3: watching the movie, because it's a little you know, high
- 5:50Speaker 3: brow over their.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Heads at times.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I feel like that makes it more enjoyable, especially if
- 5:55Speaker 2: you're sitting there for over two and a half hours
- 5:57Speaker 2: because it's such a long movie, I would simply have
- 5:59Speaker 2: to talk.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 4: That way, I could just sit there in silence. You
- 6:02Speaker 4: would have.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Been right there with them asking question Yeah. But it
- 6:04Speaker 3: was questions like who's that? Why is he wearing that?
- 6:07Speaker 4: What's he doing? Like I don't know. We were all
- 6:10Speaker 4: watching this together. I do not know. I've not seen this.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Let's just watch and figure it out.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Most important question, how many bags of popcorn did they
- 6:17Speaker 2: eat during the movie?
- 6:18Speaker 4: Just one?
- 6:18Speaker 3: We just had a microwave bag. We all had some,
- 6:21Speaker 3: and nobody asked for more. It was really it was
- 6:23Speaker 3: a delightful experience.
- 6:24Speaker 4: If you did not know this fun fact.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Kevin's children, actually his entire family love popcorn so much
- 6:30Speaker 2: so I was expecting like five bags.
- 6:31Speaker 4: I'm the one.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Usually I'm sitting on the sidelines watching them and worrying
- 6:34Speaker 3: about their popcorn intake. But last night I did that
- 6:36Speaker 3: participated as well. But god, they ate popcorn every single day.
- 6:39Speaker 3: I feel like this is not good for your digestive system.
- 6:43Speaker 3: They're fine anyway. The point is, if you have kids
- 6:46Speaker 3: Project Hail Mary. Mine again are eight and ten years old.
- 6:49Speaker 3: They loved it. Long movie, but fun for the whole family,
- 6:52Speaker 3: and Zach, I recommend you watching it even though there
- 6:54Speaker 3: is zero chance of that happening.
- 6:56Speaker 4: That's definitely not gonna happen.
- 6:57Speaker 2: And I do just want to say that I'm very
- 6:59Speaker 2: proud of your children for making it through the whole thing,
- 7:01Speaker 2: because that is very long.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Zeach cannot if a movie's over ninety minutes, he's now
- 7:05Speaker 3: watching it.
- 7:05Speaker 4: No, absolutely not.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Three days you need to know.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Just after seven.
- 7:09Speaker 2: O'clock on this Tuesday morning, thank you so much for
- 7:11Speaker 2: starting your day with this note, Ricky Sanchez today. But
- 7:14Speaker 2: Kevin mannow has those three things that you need to know.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Yes, I do, thank you, Zach. Instagram just launched a
- 7:19Speaker 3: much requested feature that a lot of people are very
- 7:22Speaker 3: happy about. Users will now be able to rearrange the
- 7:24Speaker 3: posts on their profile grid for the first time ever.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Up until now, they've just been you know, like chronological.
- 7:30Speaker 3: But those days are over. According to Meta, Instagram's parent company,
- 7:34Speaker 3: you just go to your grid, you press down on
- 7:36Speaker 3: a post, and it's going to allow you to move
- 7:38Speaker 3: it around. I tried it. I don't have it yet.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I did the update and everything. It's not working for me,
- 7:42Speaker 3: but I love the idea of it. Though, Yeah, sometimes
- 7:45Speaker 3: they roll these things up slowly, so it is coming,
- 7:47Speaker 3: they said. Grid reordering makes it easier to shape your
- 7:49Speaker 3: profile around what feels most relevant to you right now,
- 7:53Speaker 3: that's the idea I like it. BNA just announced plans
- 7:57Speaker 3: to close Lot A due to ongoing and construy introduction.
- 8:00Speaker 3: As of July first, Lot A will be completely shut
- 8:04Speaker 3: down to make way for a new nine hundred million
- 8:06Speaker 3: dollar rental car facility in parking garage. The new structure
- 8:09Speaker 3: will be six stories tall and will accommodate almost five
- 8:12Speaker 3: thousand rental vehicles, as well as three thousand more parking
- 8:15Speaker 3: spots or passengers. They did stress that Lots B and
- 8:18Speaker 3: C will remain open, but probably best if you just
- 8:21Speaker 3: prepare for a headache, go get going to BNA, getting
- 8:24Speaker 3: in or out jess uber me exactly again.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Lot A will be closed starting July first. Lastly, some
- 8:30Speaker 4: good news here.
- 8:31Speaker 3: According to a new study out of London, laughter really
- 8:35Speaker 3: is the best medicine. This is specifically related to kids. Apparently,
- 8:38Speaker 3: when a child is laughing, their brains are hard at work,
- 8:41Speaker 3: building skills that support creativity, memory, and emotional wellbeing. Laughter
- 8:46Speaker 3: lower stress hormones while boosting dopamine and serotonin. They say
- 8:50Speaker 3: joyful play also helps kids feel safe and happy.
- 8:53Speaker 4: So keep it in mind. Your prescription is more laughter
- 8:57Speaker 4: and play.
- 8:58Speaker 2: And that means if you got kiddos, you got to
- 9:00Speaker 2: listen to our show more often.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Exact well, love it, they love it.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Number one with kids. There you go, three things you
- 9:07Speaker 3: now know. We're gonna play justin Bieber here. And then
- 9:10Speaker 3: we're learning zaxbas He's always got a good one. I
- 9:14Speaker 3: don't even bother asking anymore. Good job, Kevin, we're learning together.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Next class is in sessions Zax Facts, brought to you
- 9:23Speaker 1: by Mark Spain Real Estate on the River.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Kevin, I have a quiz for you, Yes, I'm ready.
- 9:28Speaker 2: I want you to try and guess how many gallons
- 9:30Speaker 2: of paint it took to paint the Golden gate Bridge.
- 9:33Speaker 4: How many gallons? Yeah?
- 9:35Speaker 3: Oh ah, I mean, okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna just
- 9:40Speaker 3: throw out a number. I'm gonna say four hundred and
- 9:43Speaker 3: thirty thousand gallons.
- 9:45Speaker 4: You were a little.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Actually above it was only one hundred and ten thousand
- 9:48Speaker 2: gallons that it took to paint the Golden gate Bridge. Really, yeah, well,
- 9:52Speaker 2: the first time they painted it clearly they had to
- 9:54Speaker 2: do more and fix it up, touch ups and whatnot.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Yeah, but there's your fact of the day. One hundred
- 9:58Speaker 4: and ten thousand gallons of paint and now you know.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Thanks Zach.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Ricky is Zach and Mano in the morning.
- 10:04Speaker 4: On seven five the river.
- 10:06Speaker 3: That was your summer job when you were when you
- 10:09Speaker 3: were younger? Six one five, seven, three seven, nine one
- 10:12Speaker 3: oh seven. We want to hear what you did to
- 10:15Speaker 3: make some extra money your side hustle.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I have an entire list, and some of these are
- 10:18Speaker 2: actually so funny, like a doggy dude ranch attendant. A
- 10:22Speaker 2: doggy what now, doggy dude ranch attendant. It's probably you
- 10:25Speaker 2: work at like pet resorts and you just play with
- 10:27Speaker 2: animals all day while you're supervising pool time.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I'm guessing it's doggy dude ranch dude ranch. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:34Speaker 3: not doggy dude ranch attendant.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Doggy dude ranch attendant.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Six one five, seven, three seven, nine one o seven.
- 10:42Speaker 3: What was your summer job? Zach will run down this
- 10:45Speaker 3: this list.
- 10:46Speaker 4: It's that time of.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Year, man, I know there are kids out there looking
- 10:48Speaker 3: to make some extra money. How did you make that
- 10:51Speaker 3: money back in the day?
- 10:52Speaker 4: Let us know.
- 10:53Speaker 1: It's the River, Ricky, is Zach and Mano in the
- 10:56Speaker 1: morning on seven five the River Morning Angelo in Nashville
- 11:00Speaker 1: on our way to work Angela, we were.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Asking about summer jobs. Did you have one back in
- 11:04Speaker 3: the day A side hustle.
- 11:06Speaker 4: I actually did.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I had a company that lied about my age just
- 11:09Speaker 2: so I could work for Rockland.
- 11:10Speaker 3: USA, just you could work for who you lied about
- 11:13Speaker 3: your age to work for?
- 11:13Speaker 2: Who?
- 11:15Speaker 4: Oh? Yeah before it closed? I was thirteen? Yeah, so cool.
- 11:20Speaker 3: What did you do there as a thirteen year old?
- 11:22Speaker 4: The kid's corner where the kids were jumping. Oh, that's fun.
- 11:25Speaker 4: So you just got to like hang out with the
- 11:26Speaker 4: kiddos all day. Just hang out with the kids though
- 11:29Speaker 4: all day?
- 11:30Speaker 1: Oh?
- 11:30Speaker 4: I love that. And how old did you say you were?
- 11:33Speaker 1: Said?
- 11:33Speaker 4: I was fifteen. Oh your parents lied for you? Okay, yeah, Hey,
- 11:37Speaker 4: I'm not mad about it.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Shout out to the parents. Get them to work as
- 11:40Speaker 2: soon as you can. That's how I feel it is.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Do you remember how much money you made back then?
- 11:46Speaker 2: I don't.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I really don't, but it was what it did. I
- 11:49Speaker 1: only worked weekends though, Okay.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Just weekends.
- 11:52Speaker 2: What was the first thing that you bought with your
- 11:53Speaker 2: thirteen year old paycheck. I actually helped my mom with
- 11:56Speaker 2: the bills because it was just me, her and my sister.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Sweet of you.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Yeah, very responsible. You're a good person. Thank you, Thank you, Angela.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Thank you for calling. And that's just so everybody knows.
- 12:06Speaker 3: We don't condone the lying about the age and all
- 12:08Speaker 3: that stuff, but in this in this instance, we're giving
- 12:11Speaker 3: her a pass.
- 12:12Speaker 4: I'm forty four years old now, so back in Yeah, okay, Well,
- 12:16Speaker 4: thank you for sharing with us. Angela. We love you.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Have a great day, Yea. What was yours?
- 12:22Speaker 5: Zach?
- 12:22Speaker 3: What was your weirdest summer job? You've had a lot
- 12:24Speaker 3: of You've probably had more jobs than anybody I've ever met.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Oh, I'm trying to think of what the weirdest one was.
- 12:30Speaker 2: But I worked at the skating rink one summer and
- 12:34Speaker 2: so we had to like because people were renting skates. Yeah,
- 12:37Speaker 2: so I had to clean the skates and it was
- 12:39Speaker 2: really disgusting.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I feel like they just did like hit them with
- 12:42Speaker 3: that spray and that's yeah, it.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Still gross me up because they would give them to me,
- 12:45Speaker 2: like all hot and sweaty, and then I had the inside.
- 12:48Speaker 3: It was Oh, I always feel so bad, like turning
- 12:50Speaker 3: in bowling shoes. Yeah all sweaty Oh my god, I'm
- 12:53Speaker 3: sorry that you had to you had to deal with that.
- 12:55Speaker 3: I sold knives one summer and I how old were you?
- 12:59Speaker 4: Absolutely hated it.
- 13:00Speaker 3: I think it was my summer in between high school
- 13:02Speaker 3: and college and they.
- 13:03Speaker 4: Let you walk around with knives.
- 13:05Speaker 3: Yes, it was a cutco I know a lot of
- 13:07Speaker 3: people out there can relate to this. Yeah, selling to
- 13:09Speaker 3: your like your parents' friends and your neighbors and stuff.
- 13:12Speaker 3: I hated it. I hated the business model. I hated
- 13:14Speaker 3: everything about it. So that was my weirdest and least
- 13:17Speaker 3: favorite summer job.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I don't know why that's so funny to the idea
- 13:20Speaker 2: of you walking around with just a package of knives
- 13:22Speaker 2: and knocking on people's doors.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I had to like try to cut through a phone
- 13:25Speaker 3: book during the presentation is awful. I could never even
- 13:29Speaker 3: do it. So Zach does have a list. If there
- 13:31Speaker 3: are kids out there looking for some part time jobs
- 13:34Speaker 3: that summer to make some money, what are a few
- 13:36Speaker 3: things on the list.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Okay, so also talking about animals, kennel technician. You can
- 13:40Speaker 2: go work for like a vet and clean out the kennels.
- 13:42Speaker 2: A cabana host that sounds so fun. Ooh yeah, I'm totally.
- 13:46Speaker 2: And the last one that I want to say is
- 13:48Speaker 2: the Space Camp counselor. So in Huntsville is the US
- 13:52Speaker 2: Space and Rocket Center, and you can literally be a
- 13:54Speaker 2: space camp counselor and just like teach them about space
- 13:57Speaker 2: and hang out with them all day.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Probably have to know a little about space to get
- 14:01Speaker 3: that job.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Well, I mean maybe they teach you.
