For six years, she lived in an apartment where most days were completely uneventful. There were no constant disturbances, no terrifying apparitions and nothing that made her feel as though she needed to move out.

But every few months, something would happen.

At first, she could explain away the noises and footsteps as sounds traveling through the building. Then she began hearing something much harder to dismiss—her roommate’s voice when her roommate wasn’t home.
