  [SPEAKER_00]: So talking about trading up from 56 to get back into the first round is something fans have been excited about just the idea of potentially doing that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But you know, I have to ask the question, are you willing to stay up all night watching the first round of the NFL draft when the Jaguars don't

  [SPEAKER_00]: He does this mock draft really based on what he's hearing from around the league extremely plugged in a reporter for the athletic and he's got the Jaguars trading up to 30

  [SPEAKER_00]: really based on the way Clemson played him you've definitely just say defensive linemen but defensive tackle out of Clemson and this is a fascinating one right here and absolutely is there's a bunch of different layers to it there's the prospect there is

  [SPEAKER_00]: The projected trade is Jacksonville, gets pick number 30, takes Peter Woods.

  [SPEAKER_00]: My amy receives picks number 56, which is Jaguar's current top pick 56, and 203.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if that was the asking price, I would do it right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Without even knowing who's gonna be on the board at 30, because that just seems like such a low asking price.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When you look at the the Fitzgerald Spielberger draft trade value chart, this actually isn't as a lopsided as it kind of seems to me like it seems like 30 should be way way more valuable than 56 and 203.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and the combination of picks 56 and 203 is 1267.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it is very close, but to me, if I'm putting my, my, my, me dolphins, GM hat on here, John Eric Sullivan, am I going to be trading out of 30 to get almost the same amount of value?

  [SPEAKER_00]: or am I going to say you have to make me a big offer and offer I can't refuse.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why I would really have any interest in moving from 50, or excuse me, from 30 to 56, just to acquire a pick 203.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Even though the value, you know, according to the numbers, it's not crazy that that's shocking to me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would be, again, straight up shocked if the Jaguars James Ladsdone were able to pull off a move like that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we'll take a look at what Feldman writes here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Says, with Miami grabbing Mansour Delane earlier in the draft corner back, the dolphins can address their need for a receiver here, but there's not one worth a late first round pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So they deal with Jacksonville, which needs a defensive tackle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The six foot two 300 pound woods is an extremely powerful big athlete who some coaches at Clemson thought would be a top five pick when he finished his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Last off season, he clocked a 48640

  [SPEAKER_00]: at £310 and benched pressed £490.

  [SPEAKER_00]: His 2024 film was probably better than his 2025, but that also reflected a program that backs lid.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He had 40 tackles and three and a half tackles for loss this past year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's very explosive and powerful, said an ACC offensive coordinator, and he's got some good past-rush moves and he plays hard, but you wonder about his feel.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He just doesn't make as many plays as you think he should.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's a lot to dig into with Peter Woods, with his draft projection.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He is a player that I did watch over a summer, so I watched a lot of his 2024 tape, and I thought he was fantastic.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I thought he was gonna be probably a top five pick, definitely a top 10 pick, and a lot of players from Clemson struggled last year, on the defensive side of the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The entire program struggled last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: One thing you can say about Peter Woods is his weight is fluctuated a little bit and that's not because of a lack of discipline or anything that was like intentional by Clemson and their program but you also have the fact that they've been playing him outside the tackle or over the tackle a lot and he's just not going to be playing that spot as much in the NFL.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be an interior defensive lineman.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that's why earlier on I said, you know, defensive lineman is a fair way to put it versus defensive tackle, but yeah, he projects to be a interior defensive tackle who I think is incredibly quick off the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's unbelievable, you see.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But he has very short arms, which we know the jag wars aren't going to care that much about arm length, if they view this player as someone who can wreak havoc in the backfield.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I really do, but the 2025 season combined with the fact that his lead-up has been a little bit weird, like he did the 10-yard first 10 yards of the 40-yard dash, but wouldn't do the full 40-yard dash.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, just like the fact that as a freshman, he looked insane, looked really good again in 2024, didn't look as good in 2025.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a little concerning for a lot of people combined with the arm length and some other things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I personally would still bet on him in a big way.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I just think he has the potential, and we've seen it

  [SPEAKER_00]: I impact interior past Russia.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that the Jaguars, if they were able to land him for 56 in 203 overall, that would be a home run.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, there are some question marks for sure with him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I just think,

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to take an aggressive swing in this draft, this one kind of makes sense, you could also like talk about Caleb Banks in this range, which we have, I just personally think with banks, the fact that he's a 330 pounder that has seemingly, if not chronic foot injuries, at least multiple foot injuries stacking up, and when you have so much stress on feet at 330 pounds,

  [SPEAKER_00]: That does give me a lot of pause, too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I like both of them as players a lot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Caleb Banks is clearly more prototypical, but it wouldn't surprise me if Peter Woods is the better interior past Russia.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Banks might be a little bit more complete, but he might not.

  [SPEAKER_00]: be able to get on the field a whole lot with those feet issues.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know, I will say this.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If the Jag Wars were able to pull this off, which I don't think they could.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I do not think that they could trade 56 and 203 for Pick 30.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think when I've been talking about trading up into the first round, I've been like, I feel like a team would ask for another day to pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Give me two of those if you want to get back into round one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of the way I thought about it, what teams would ask for, and I've said I don't think that that's worth it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if you're talking about a late, day three pick, or even a mid-day three pick, I would be okay with it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the Jaguar's were able to pull this off.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'd be very excited about Peter Woods coming down to Duvall.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think his game at its best is among the best players in this class.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's just some questions about like what happened in 2025, really.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, just like, what is the risk?

  [SPEAKER_00]: At two of, like giving up pick 203, there's like zero risk in this really outside of just like, if Peter Woods is as dominant as you expect him to be, but if he comes into Jacksonville, they're able to, let's just say they're able to do this.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're able to get Peter Woods basically for pick 56 and 203.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You immediately have a much more dangerous and dear defensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that gets me excited.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and you talk about like the group of guys that you get on the field and past rush situations now, Josh Hines Allen, Trayvon Walker, Peter Woods, Eric Armstead.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You've also got your young guys in Strigo and BJ Green and hopefully a couple more guys that you could add throughout the draft and that's a good start.
