Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie, and his time for us to
• 0:02
Speaker 1: go to God in prayer, And as always, I invite
• 0:05
Speaker 1: you to join along with me in prayer. And I
• 0:07
Speaker 1: had a grandmother to call me, and she was in tears,
• 0:10
Speaker 1: and she was crying over a grandchild. And I think
• 0:13
Speaker 1: about so many other parents who have tried their best
• 0:16
Speaker 1: to raise their children, and yet they go as straight. Today,
• 0:20
Speaker 1: I want to pray for those children, and I want
• 0:21
Speaker 1: to pray for you, Heavenly Father. Today we come before
• 0:25
Speaker 1: you carrying the names and the faces of the sons
• 0:28
Speaker 1: and the daughters who have wandered from you. Lord. You
• 0:31
Speaker 1: know every child who has drifted from the faith they
• 0:34
Speaker 1: were taught, every young adult who has chosen a different path,
• 0:38
Speaker 1: every prodigal who has walked away from home, and every
• 0:41
Speaker 1: heart that has become distant from your voice. Nothing about
• 0:45
Speaker 1: their journey has escaped your notice, and no distance is
• 0:48
Speaker 1: too great for your love to reach. Father, we call
• 0:52
Speaker 1: them before you today, just as you welcome the prodigal
• 0:55
Speaker 1: son with open arms, we ask that you draw every
• 0:58
Speaker 1: wayward child back to you, Interrupt every path that leads
• 1:02
Speaker 1: to destruction, place people in their lives who will speak
• 1:05
Speaker 1: truth with love, let your Holy spirit gently convict their
• 1:09
Speaker 1: hearts and awaken within them a longing for your presence.
• 1:12
Speaker 1: Remove every deception of the enemy, every unhealthy influence, every addiction,
• 1:18
Speaker 1: every destruction, and every lie that tells them that they
• 1:21
Speaker 1: can live without you, Oh God, Remind them of the
• 1:24
Speaker 1: prayers that were prayed over them. As children bring to
• 1:28
Speaker 1: their remembrance and scriptures, they learn the worship they want
• 1:32
Speaker 1: saying and the love they experienced in a home that
• 1:35
Speaker 1: pointed them toward You. Even if they've forgotten. Let your
• 1:40
Speaker 1: word come alive in their hearts. Let there come a
• 1:43
Speaker 1: moment when they say, I need to return to my
• 1:45
Speaker 1: father's house. Father. We especially pray for the parents and
• 1:49
Speaker 1: the grandparents who have been faithfully standing in the gap.
• 1:52
Speaker 1: Some have prayed for months, others have prayed for years,
• 1:54
Speaker 1: and some have wondered if their prayers are even making
• 1:57
Speaker 1: a difference. Lord's strength and their weary hearts discouragement whispers
• 2:01
Speaker 1: that nothing is changing. Remind them that You're working even
• 2:05
Speaker 1: when they can't see it. Help them to trust your
• 2:07
Speaker 1: timing and to never lose hope. Replace sleepless nights with
• 2:11
Speaker 1: your peace, Replace anxious thoughts with confident faith. Guard them
• 2:16
Speaker 1: from guilt, reminding them that while they can't control every
• 2:21
Speaker 1: choice their loved ones make, they can continue to trust
• 2:25
Speaker 1: the God who never stops pursuing his children. Lord, comfort
• 2:29
Speaker 1: every mother whose pillows has wet with tears. Encourage every
• 2:34
Speaker 1: father who quietly carries the weight of concern. Strengthen every
• 2:38
Speaker 1: grandmother and grandfather who continue to call their grandchildren's names
• 2:42
Speaker 1: before your throne. Let them know that no prayer offered
• 2:45
Speaker 1: in faith is ever wasted. And now, Father, we declare
• 2:49
Speaker 1: by faith. We declare that our children belong to the Lord.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
• 2:55
Speaker 1: We declare that every chain of bondage will be broken.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: We declare that every prodigal we will hear the voice
• 3:01
Speaker 1: of God, the good Shepherd. We declare that what the
• 3:04
Speaker 1: enemy meant for evil, God will turn for good. We
• 3:07
Speaker 1: declare that our homes will be filled with joy, reconciliation,
• 3:10
Speaker 1: and testimonies of your restoring power. Father, we believe that
• 3:14
Speaker 1: you are still in the business of restoring families. You're
• 3:17
Speaker 1: still in the business of redeeming lives and making all
• 3:20
Speaker 1: things new. We choose to stand in faith, to keep praying,
• 3:23
Speaker 1: to keep believing, and to keep expecting that one day
• 3:26
Speaker 1: we will rejoice as our sons and our daughters come
• 3:29
Speaker 1: home not only to their families, but to You. We
• 3:31
Speaker 1: thank you in advance for the miracles that are already
• 3:34
Speaker 1: in motion. We praise you for the restoration that's coming,
• 3:37
Speaker 1: and we trust that the God who began a good
• 3:40
Speaker 1: work will be faithful to complete it. In the mighty
• 3:43
Speaker 1: name of Jesus, Amen, Amen, and Amen.
