- 0:02Speaker 1: To Teas in a pod with Teddy Mellencamps and cam
- 0:06Speaker 1: Ridge Edge.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Hi guys, thank you subscribers, and welcome to Twatts flashback.
- 0:21Speaker 3: That was great episode, wasn't it too good? Episodes two?
- 0:27Speaker 4: Okay, I almost that show.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Who watched that show and said we gotta make this
- 0:33Speaker 3: a franchise?
- 0:34Speaker 4: Not even who watched that show. Who watched that reunion
- 0:38Speaker 4: and was like, we got to keep these reunions going.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Do you know that this is the first time I
- 0:42Speaker 3: actually acknowledged the fact that Andy Cohen did not do
- 0:45Speaker 3: the first reunion.
- 0:47Speaker 4: I know, I didn't realize that either. I mean not
- 0:50Speaker 4: no one did.
- 0:51Speaker 2: It was just like us sitting in our living rooms,
- 0:53Speaker 2: like with our like handicams.
- 0:56Speaker 3: It was I know, it was really bizarre. I mean
- 0:58Speaker 3: I didn't even know that. I mean, it's been that
- 1:00Speaker 3: long since I've watched season one. But the fact that
- 1:03Speaker 3: they literally didn't have a host nothing. They just all
- 1:07Speaker 3: got Vicki's backyard and like, yeah, don't Kimberly's on vacation.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Oh it's fine, she missed the reunion, doesn't matter.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I think she got shit. And then she decided she
- 1:18Speaker 3: wasn't coming back.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Oh but what did she get shipped for I don't.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Know, you know it. I love when they talk and
- 1:25Speaker 3: we'll get to it in a minute. But you know,
- 1:27Speaker 3: on the blogs on the blogs is there was no
- 1:30Speaker 3: Instagram back then, so it was the blogs on the innerweb.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Or I've gotten at least five to ten emails a day.
- 1:38Speaker 3: I know I died, I got ten emails saying first
- 1:42Speaker 3: of all, how did anybody get your email address.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Or your address?
- 1:46Speaker 2: But I will get into that when we get into
- 1:47Speaker 2: the reunion, but we have to start with episode seven.
- 1:51Speaker 4: The air date was May second, two thousand and six.
- 1:55Speaker 3: What were you doing in two thousand and six, teddy?
- 1:58Speaker 4: Shit? So how many years ago?
- 2:00Speaker 3: A long time ago, seventeen years ago.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Two thousand and six.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I actually think maybe I was getting married to my
- 2:06Speaker 2: first husband in two thousand and six.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Were getting Yeah, I was getting married.
- 2:10Speaker 3: But were you watching The Real Housewives of Orange County?
- 2:15Speaker 3: I was not.
- 2:16Speaker 4: I wasn't I I you know, I needed Tarama to
- 2:18Speaker 4: save it first.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Tamra saved it all right, Okay, So.
- 2:25Speaker 4: The synopsis of this first episode is Joe Enslade continue
- 2:29Speaker 4: to have problems, Shane prepares to leave for college. I
- 2:32Speaker 4: love that. That's the entire synopsis, like, that's it, that's.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Always it, that's it?
- 2:37Speaker 4: Is it me?
- 2:37Speaker 3: Or does it feel like Joe Enslade everything was scripted
- 2:41Speaker 3: for them? How different is Joe today Joe seventeen years ago?
- 2:47Speaker 2: Well, I know now, in hindsight, I wish I would
- 2:49Speaker 2: have watched the whole season before we had Joe on
- 2:53Speaker 2: so that I could ask.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Her more, you know, the harder questions.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Well, she just seemed like she really wasn't into the relationship.
- 3:01Speaker 3: But if I'm not mistaken, when we interviewed her, did
- 3:04Speaker 3: she not say that he was the love of my life?
- 3:07Speaker 2: But I feel like a lot of I mean, I
- 3:09Speaker 2: thought my high school boyfriend was the love of my
- 3:11Speaker 2: life too.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Like when I was young, I was like.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, for sure, I had a whole nother level
- 3:16Speaker 2: of crazy when it came to relationships than I do now,
- 3:19Speaker 2: Like now I'm just old.
- 3:20Speaker 4: I'm just barely getting by.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Oh I was scheduled. I was a crazy bitch.
- 3:24Speaker 2: I used to do things like I would have my
- 3:27Speaker 2: friends call my boyfriend and be like, hey, have you
- 3:30Speaker 2: heard from Teddy?
- 3:32Speaker 4: We have it and we're worried about.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Her, Like what, well, maybe we're all sitting together like
- 3:37Speaker 2: what kind of crazy is that? Like why why does
- 3:42Speaker 2: it not surprise me? And then like, I remember my
- 3:45Speaker 2: boyfriend asked my best friend. We were in a fight
- 3:48Speaker 2: and he asked my best friend a prom, which kind
- 3:50Speaker 2: of reminded me the Lauriate.
- 3:52Speaker 4: The Joe situation, I mean a Slade situation.
- 3:58Speaker 2: But yeah, so then I had to, you know, do
- 4:00Speaker 2: dirty and hook up with his best friend on prom night. Anyway,
- 4:04Speaker 2: any who, so it's after date night, Joe and Slade
- 4:10Speaker 2: slept in separate rooms and she packed up. She texted him,
- 4:14Speaker 2: I guess we are done. Please pack up everything. I
- 4:17Speaker 2: will pick up asap. Okay, I want to know how
- 4:20Speaker 2: long this text took to send?
- 4:22Speaker 4: On like this old school motal give me to the
- 4:29Speaker 4: te like, do you remember how long a freaking text
- 4:32Speaker 4: message used to take to send?
- 4:34Speaker 3: Well, we didn't really text message that much with that. Well,
- 4:40Speaker 3: I don't know remember what was it? BlackBerry? Well there's
- 4:43Speaker 3: nine that told me truly went crazy with texting? Was BlackBerry?
- 4:46Speaker 3: Right before that, we had like the flip phone that
- 4:48Speaker 3: was like.
- 4:49Speaker 4: But I got pretty fast.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I remember being like fast with that thing, like I
- 4:53Speaker 2: knew exactly how now I get my nails off and
- 4:56Speaker 2: I can't even text on my iPhone because it doesn't
- 4:58Speaker 2: recognize my fingertips.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Oh my god, I might have the reverse problem, like
- 5:03Speaker 3: when I have my nails are long. I have no
- 5:04Speaker 3: nails right now, but they're long. I can't text. They
- 5:08Speaker 3: get screwed up.
- 5:09Speaker 4: I know it's because we get used to certain things.
- 5:11Speaker 4: I mean, these are my other complaints, you know, like
- 5:14Speaker 4: my pinky's really been bothering me from holding my phone
- 5:17Speaker 4: up for so long like this that was never a
- 5:21Speaker 4: problem with the original motor.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I can't it doesn't attach to my little wallet, I know,
- 5:28Speaker 2: and I have to have everything in one spot. Okay, fine,
- 5:30Speaker 2: But then that made me laugh. But then Joe tells
- 5:33Speaker 2: Kimberly that the engagement is off.
- 5:35Speaker 4: It's awesome.
- 5:36Speaker 2: She says he gets resentful when she goes out, and
- 5:39Speaker 2: she gets resentful. How she needs to stay home with
- 5:42Speaker 2: the kids when they are not her kids, I mean
- 5:46Speaker 2: slave shaming.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Jeffer parente in her in his confessional kind of rubbed
- 5:50Speaker 3: me the wrong way because she's twenty four years old.
- 5:54Speaker 4: And if you wanted a mother figure for your kid.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Get somebody your own age, buddy.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Well stay with their mother.
- 6:02Speaker 1: So she was.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Twenty four, and she said that he was fifteen years
- 6:06Speaker 3: older than her right when we had her on. Okay, yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 3: so he was almost forty years old.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Well I have a question though, do you think that
- 6:14Speaker 2: she was I mean, do you think it was just
- 6:18Speaker 2: that she was too young, or.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Do you think, like personally, it's not even about age
- 6:22Speaker 4: at this point, if any man, regardless of the age,
- 6:25Speaker 4: talk to me the way that Slade continuously talks to
- 6:29Speaker 4: her like she's like a puppy that's been injured.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Yeah, well he gave me Simon vibes for sure. I
- 6:37Speaker 3: don't know this and that and taking the license plate
- 6:40Speaker 3: off of her car like that is just controlling, narcissistic bullshit.
- 6:46Speaker 3: But she's twenty four years old at this point, but
- 6:51Speaker 3: where she knew what she was getting into for sure.
- 6:53Speaker 2: So I also want to know, like originally what attracted
- 6:56Speaker 2: these two to each other, Like what was like, ooh, well.
- 7:00Speaker 3: He's playing to play the baller. I have a black
- 7:02Speaker 3: American spress. They shut down stores for me. Well, he
- 7:06Speaker 3: was one of those guys aos douchey guys in two
- 7:09Speaker 3: thousand and six seven eight before the market crashed. I
- 7:12Speaker 3: think it crashed about two thousand and eight they were
- 7:14Speaker 3: making a killing on mortgages and he thought he was
- 7:17Speaker 3: a big time baller.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Well, I didn't even know what a black card was
- 7:22Speaker 4: when I first started dating Edwin, Like that wasn't a
- 7:25Speaker 4: thing in South Carolina or you know, I never had
- 7:28Speaker 4: one clearly. And then I remember one.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Of our first like hangouts, we went to the Jack
- 7:35Speaker 2: in the Box drive through.
- 7:36Speaker 3: No, he did not use his black card to Jack
- 7:38Speaker 3: in the Box. No he did not shut up.
- 7:46Speaker 4: I remember the guy had Jack in the Box still
- 7:48Speaker 4: going wow, this is heavy, and him like looking at
- 7:53Speaker 4: me all proud and it's metal.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Man, you can knock it on the table there.
- 7:57Speaker 2: And I had absolutely zero clue that that meant special.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Like I never even owned a credit Like I had
- 8:02Speaker 2: a debit card only because I'm so scared of like
- 8:05Speaker 2: running out of money.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Like I never had a credit card, had a credit card.
- 8:08Speaker 3: My first credit card had a three hundred dollar limit
- 8:10Speaker 3: on it.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I never even I mean solely I had
- 8:15Speaker 2: my ATM just so I could order pink Dot.
- 8:18Speaker 3: But what's pink dot?
- 8:20Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, in.
- 8:21Speaker 2: La pink dot is like the game changer of being
- 8:24Speaker 2: a hot mess young like nineteen to twenty two year
- 8:28Speaker 2: old in La. So what it is, it's it's before
- 8:31Speaker 2: like Postmates and Uber obviously, But what you do is
- 8:34Speaker 2: you'd go out and then you'd get home and you'd like,
- 8:36Speaker 2: either want something else to eat or to drink or
- 8:39Speaker 2: do whatever, and then you'd call this number and they
- 8:42Speaker 2: would deliver anything that you wanted from this one grocery
- 8:45Speaker 2: store on Sunset and they'd overcharge. And like I lived
- 8:48Speaker 2: in a studio apartment, I had no business ordering food
- 8:52Speaker 2: or drinks. Well, speaking of American Express, Vicky is upset
- 8:56Speaker 2: that Michael has taken advantage of her American Express card.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Which was not a black cart no because she wouldn't
- 9:02Speaker 3: pay that much a year or a black cart no.
- 9:05Speaker 4: No. He told her to work a little more so
- 9:09Speaker 4: he can spend what he wants to spend. Okay, I
- 9:13Speaker 4: I realized that my kids can be assholes, but these
- 9:17Speaker 4: kids on this.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Particular show are beyond Now. You see why they wanted
- 9:24Speaker 3: to do a show just with the kids. I mean
- 9:26Speaker 3: they were they were complete assholes, There's no doubt about it.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Do you and I do appreciate Vicky being the same
- 9:32Speaker 3: person seventeen years ago that she is today. Nothing's changed, God,
- 9:37Speaker 3: her face.
- 9:38Speaker 4: God forbid, somebody evolve.
- 9:43Speaker 3: I mean they didn't have PayPal or Venmo back then.
- 9:45Speaker 3: So Vicky complained about her paying for everything. Is anybody
- 9:49Speaker 3: going to pay me back?
- 9:51Speaker 2: Well, she said that he's paying. Also, why was he
- 9:55Speaker 2: paying for all of his friends? I never paid for
- 9:58Speaker 2: my friends because Vicky paid.
- 10:00Speaker 3: They gave him the credit card and said do whatever, and.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Shenso like, if you guys all hang out, and she like,
- 10:06Speaker 2: I got this, I'm covering.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Nope, nope, nope, nope, She'll send you a Vemo request.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Okay, like she did when she did the podcast.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Yes, okay.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Then we get back to Slade asking Joe if she
- 10:23Speaker 2: is sure this is what she wants to do. Joe
- 10:27Speaker 2: says he is one that walked out on dinner. He
- 10:30Speaker 2: says he walked out because of her behavior, and she
- 10:33Speaker 2: tells him to find someone else with a different behavior.
- 10:36Speaker 2: At this point, I am so proud of Joe. I'm like,
- 10:38Speaker 2: yes at him.
- 10:40Speaker 4: He's the worst.
- 10:42Speaker 2: And all I could think about as Joe drove away
- 10:45Speaker 2: was wait, we need.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Your mic, we need your Oh my god. How about
- 10:49Speaker 3: when Slade takes off her license plate from her car,
- 10:53Speaker 3: thinking that I that's going to keep her there that
- 10:56Speaker 3: she won't drive off. And by the way, why does
- 10:58Speaker 3: she have a license plate that says Jay Smiley when
- 11:03Speaker 3: they've only been dating for a year and a half
- 11:05Speaker 3: and they're not even married.
- 11:06Speaker 2: No, who cares how long anyone has been dating I
- 11:09Speaker 2: And I'm sorry if I personally offend any of you listening.
- 11:12Speaker 4: I don't want to see a vanity plate me either.
- 11:14Speaker 3: I said that from day one. And by the way,
- 11:17Speaker 3: if you do something wrong in that car, they're gonna
- 11:19Speaker 3: look at that plate. They're gonna memorize.
- 11:20Speaker 4: It, just like that. Don't have a vanity plate, don't
- 11:23Speaker 4: wear t shirts with words on it. It's just stand. No. No,
- 11:28Speaker 4: that's different. That says Milwaukee.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Like if your thing said be nice or like oh
- 11:33Speaker 2: love and light or.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Any of that shit.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Bad bitch. Yeah, like like my necklace, bad bitch.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I that was really revving. But I don't like vanity
- 11:44Speaker 2: plates like I have. I'm trying to think I don't either.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Somebody I grew up with had one that said, like
- 11:50Speaker 2: as if because of like clueless. I was like, I can't,
- 11:53Speaker 2: and then my mom to embarrass me on my gremlin
- 11:56Speaker 2: growing up it said the grimster on it and Gremlin.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, yes, of course it.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Was yeah, and it said it said the Grimster and
- 12:05Speaker 2: I was like, you're trying to ruin my life.
- 12:09Speaker 3: That's what your plate said.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Yes, I did.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Every reason I see a personalized license plate, I always go,
- 12:16Speaker 3: why why are we still doing that?
- 12:20Speaker 1: No?
- 12:21Speaker 4: I hate it.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Well, Edwin thinks his new car is really cool because
- 12:24Speaker 2: he can change out his license plate. It's digital, so
- 12:28Speaker 2: anything and if he wants to put anything around the
- 12:30Speaker 2: outside or like you can say, like I have before. Oh, well,
- 12:35Speaker 2: he'll tell you and Eddie all about it if you're curious.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Oh, I'm sure Eddie will love it. I do love that.
- 12:41Speaker 3: The background music when Joe and Slade were doing there,
- 12:45Speaker 3: you know, coming back together and she's crying and I'm
- 12:49Speaker 3: so sorry, and they play that music.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Well, when he calls her and he's like it goes
- 12:54Speaker 4: straight to voicemail again, I'm like, she's gone, this is
- 12:57Speaker 4: the best thing ever. What's going to happen?
- 13:00Speaker 3: Called? And he called again and then.
- 13:02Speaker 4: She walks in and she's in her high king sneakers.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Wasn't that kind of like a bad soap opera?
- 13:11Speaker 4: It was? I don't know, I mean with her.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Knickers what are those pants called pedal pushers? Knickers?
- 13:17Speaker 4: Where are they?
- 13:18Speaker 2: Where they're Yeah, they're below the knee. I don't know,
- 13:22Speaker 2: but they're there, Arise, that's not.
- 13:23Speaker 3: The gauchos are baggy ones. Gauchos are the wide ones. Oh, capris, capris,
- 13:30Speaker 3: that's it?
- 13:32Speaker 4: That is it? I don't know.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I just wonder, like, is Joe scared of leaving what
- 13:41Speaker 2: could be a better life?
- 13:42Speaker 4: But like how could she?
- 13:43Speaker 3: She had to go home to mom and dad?
- 13:46Speaker 4: But so what I'd rather live with my mom and dad?
- 13:49Speaker 3: They driving a Mercedes, all that.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Mercedes with no license plate and all of you, all
- 13:56Speaker 2: of your Louis Vautons smashed into the bag and all
- 14:00Speaker 2: with probably some of his leftover costumes.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Porter's paradise in that garage?
- 14:06Speaker 3: Did you see them like hugging and crying and then
- 14:09Speaker 3: above their heads with like this is mannekin? That was
- 14:11Speaker 3: like up in the rafters.
- 14:13Speaker 2: But then Laurie comes home to find out Ashley has
- 14:16Speaker 2: moved out. Ashley doesn't like Steve and doesn't like her
- 14:19Speaker 2: mom dating jerks. Also Steve's performance with nobody there that
- 14:24Speaker 2: was really I was kind of.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it was pretty sad, but I mean I would
- 14:28Speaker 3: pay money to see Laurie standing out on the street
- 14:31Speaker 3: trying to pass up ticket. There you go, big big concert, tonight,
- 14:35Speaker 3: big concert. Nobody showed up. Shit.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Then she says she doesn't want her kids to tell
- 14:40Speaker 2: her who she can and can't date, which is really
- 14:42Speaker 2: interesting foreshadowing for what we find out later in the episode.
- 14:45Speaker 2: But also, I have a question for you, and I
- 14:47Speaker 2: know that we're skipping around, but it's because she kind
- 14:50Speaker 2: of reminds me of somebody Laurie kind of.
- 14:53Speaker 4: And tell me if I'm crazy. I don't know if
- 14:55Speaker 4: you ever watched The Hills or Laguna Beach or any
- 14:57Speaker 4: of that. Laurie kind of reminds me of a dream
- 15:01Speaker 4: of Partridge Potridge.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Really, I don't know.
- 15:05Speaker 4: The way her moms.
- 15:07Speaker 2: No, just like there's like her tonality in the way
- 15:10Speaker 2: that she talks. She's like kind of like mild mannered.
- 15:14Speaker 3: She would always talk wait until like next the season
- 15:18Speaker 3: two and three, she talked, but she talked very slow,
- 15:23Speaker 3: and she wanted to make sure she thought about what
- 15:26Speaker 3: she was saying, like she was so in her head
- 15:29Speaker 3: all the time.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Well, I love that when Laurie said, my kids all
- 15:34Speaker 4: hate Steve so Laurie's answer is, let's all go to
- 15:40Speaker 4: Mexico together.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 15:42Speaker 4: Why?
- 15:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, I know, But I think the main
- 15:51Speaker 2: part that I'm just still flabbergasted by is how much
- 15:55Speaker 2: these kids are in the show. It's beyond looking at Housewives.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Now we see a glimpse of them here and there,
- 16:00Speaker 2: maybe they're in a little second of a confessional.
- 16:03Speaker 3: But I the kids were very They were a big
- 16:06Speaker 3: focus on the early seasons of Housewives, and, like I've
- 16:10Speaker 3: said ten times, like so much so that they thought
- 16:13Speaker 3: about doing a spinoff with just the kids because they
- 16:15Speaker 3: were such praps. And it gets worse.
- 16:19Speaker 4: I two and three is worse with oh it is?
- 16:21Speaker 4: Oh why can say?
- 16:23Speaker 2: Vicky trying to get Michael ready for college really resonated
- 16:26Speaker 2: with me because I feel like I'm going to be
- 16:29Speaker 2: the same anxious mess when my kids are getting ready
- 16:31Speaker 2: for call, like moving bags around, unnecessarily putting shit that
- 16:36Speaker 2: it doesn't need to go, wanting to talk about all
- 16:39Speaker 2: of our plans together. I did feel that the season
- 16:44Speaker 2: finale starts to wrap up with a party. Joe and
- 16:47Speaker 2: Slade show to Kim's party together. Joe says gossip and
- 16:51Speaker 2: kdo spreads like wild Fire. She tells the ladies that
- 16:55Speaker 2: she hopes they can get back together and make things work.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Please, Joe, you just won me over. Why are we here?
- 17:04Speaker 4: Why are we doing this? Also, you would you ever
- 17:06Speaker 4: get back together with somebody and then not immediately put
- 17:10Speaker 4: on the engagement ring. I'm confused.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Well, I don't know the loppy seconds, you know, the
- 17:17Speaker 2: Lori thing happened, went back to Laurie and then taking up,
- 17:20Speaker 2: do you I think that she took him back just
- 17:23Speaker 2: because she didn't want to see him on the show
- 17:24Speaker 2: with Louri. Also, I liked their two different sides to
- 17:28Speaker 2: that story, Like Slade's always following me around everywhere, He's
- 17:33Speaker 2: at all the clubs I am, And then Laurie's like,
- 17:36Speaker 2: well when Joe would show up where we were, even
- 17:40Speaker 2: in La. Yeah, but I think they both did. I
- 17:45Speaker 2: think Slade, even though he's significantly older, is more was
- 17:49Speaker 2: more immature than Joe at this point and doing everything
- 17:52Speaker 2: he could for camera time. And then Joe and Slade
- 17:55Speaker 2: broke up two weeks after Kimberly's party, Joe moved out,
- 17:59Speaker 2: Slade took back the Mercedes.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Six weeks later, Slade started dating Lori. Two weeks after
- 18:04Speaker 4: that Joe and Slide got back together and Joe is
- 18:06Speaker 4: back driving the Mercedes. What exactly do we think the
- 18:10Speaker 4: appeal is? Is it money? Is it the C class?
- 18:13Speaker 4: I mean, what kind of classes?
- 18:16Speaker 3: A month sea class? I had it? It was too big,
- 18:20Speaker 3: too empty. Yeah, exactly. I think it was the money.
- 18:24Speaker 3: I do because she said she had to go home
- 18:27Speaker 3: to her parents and live in her parents' house.
- 18:30Speaker 4: And Laurie clearly was having to hustle for Vicky. But
- 18:33Speaker 4: you don't really.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Want can't imagine nowadays if I don't know, me and
- 18:38Speaker 3: Eddie broke up and Gina started dating him, like it's
- 18:42Speaker 3: just so bizarre, like it would be a huge fight, huge.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I then it was like, no, I know Gina and
- 18:49Speaker 2: Eddie as a couple right now, is sending me no?
- 18:52Speaker 3: Sending me to.
- 18:56Speaker 2: But I mean, all in all, it did I I
- 19:00Speaker 2: did get more invested, but I kind of only invested
- 19:03Speaker 2: in half the cast is what I realized.
- 19:05Speaker 3: I mean, And it just goes to show that's like
- 19:06Speaker 3: really wanted to be on TV trying to date any housewife.
- 19:10Speaker 3: He goes on to his third housewife by season four
- 19:15Speaker 3: or five.
- 19:25Speaker 4: But then we get to the reunion.
- 19:29Speaker 3: The reunion now it's just so crazy that that was
- 19:34Speaker 3: the reunion, and I'm so curious, is season two the
- 19:37Speaker 3: same type of reunion because I do not remember or
- 19:39Speaker 3: does is that when Andy Cohen steps in and again
- 19:43Speaker 3: it's in Vicki's backyard.
- 19:45Speaker 4: But I have a.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Question, by the time you were on, did you still
- 19:48Speaker 2: did you have confessionals that were in the moment or
- 19:51Speaker 2: on the fly or whatever you call them.
- 19:52Speaker 3: I did, I did, But then we also did confessionals
- 19:56Speaker 3: at our house that were not like they do nowadays.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Now we do it green screen. I know Beverly Hills.
- 20:04Speaker 3: I think still doesn't matter our house. But for years
- 20:07Speaker 3: we dine about the house where they take apart everything
- 20:10Speaker 3: and create a whole backdrop. This was just like sit
- 20:14Speaker 3: in your hallway and talk to the camera.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, even the reunion, like they're not even dressed up.
- 20:19Speaker 4: It's like it's me.
- 20:20Speaker 2: It's us right now doing the pot like we don't
- 20:22Speaker 2: even have We're not glammed. It's like I got my
- 20:26Speaker 2: freedom smelling perm chilling out. Joe said she could see
- 20:30Speaker 2: by the episodes that Slades seem controlling. She says if
- 20:33Speaker 2: he was actually like that, she would have moved on
- 20:36Speaker 2: a long time ago, Joe.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Then Joe said she's got ten to fifteen emails a
- 20:42Speaker 4: day from fans.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Oh what what was her email? Joe at aol dot com,
- 20:49Speaker 2: Like I.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Need it's probably what it is. How did they get it?
- 20:53Speaker 3: That's what I would like to know. They probably had
- 20:55Speaker 3: it on their MySpace. I probably had their email address
- 20:58Speaker 3: on their MySpace.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Oh good point.
- 21:01Speaker 2: But then she also brings up the response she has
- 21:03Speaker 2: gotten to her excessive drinking. Every time there was a
- 21:06Speaker 2: shot captured, she had a drink in her hand.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Because you were drinking. You're at twenty four years old
- 21:12Speaker 3: and you were drinking. We're drinking, and.
- 21:14Speaker 2: You know what, so were we Like, I mean, you're
- 21:18Speaker 2: on a television show making full of yourself. Of course
- 21:20Speaker 2: you're gonna drink. It's different how much things have changed.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Like women openly were harder on themselves than they are now.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Now it's like kind of hushash. If you're feeling like
- 21:32Speaker 2: you gain weight, are you feeling insecure?
- 21:34Speaker 4: You're not?
- 21:35Speaker 2: Like that was a time where people were just unfiltered,
- 21:38Speaker 2: Like this is how I feel like. There was even
- 21:39Speaker 2: a point where Gina Keio says, the guy haven't well no,
- 21:44Speaker 2: when she says, I haven't seen myself on camera in
- 21:46Speaker 2: a really long time, and watching myself this season, like
- 21:50Speaker 2: it's the fact that they're able to like say that
- 21:53Speaker 2: I watched myself this season in the middle of the reunion.
- 21:58Speaker 4: But I did learn more from this reunion that I
- 22:00Speaker 4: did on the show.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Laurie has never met a bad decision she didn't want
- 22:05Speaker 2: to make. And then she shows a pair of shoes
- 22:10Speaker 2: that she got from somebody, but she called them Manola
- 22:14Speaker 2: Balanix Manila Blanis from one of the bothers from Laguna Beach.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Who do you think I was? Well?
- 22:23Speaker 2: Also, I can't believe that this show was after Laguna Beach.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Laguna Beach was already airing one.
- 22:30Speaker 3: I think, if I'm not mistaken, I think it's around
- 22:34Speaker 3: the same time.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Well, these are our options.
- 22:36Speaker 2: We've got Lauren Conrad's dad, We've got Steven Coletti's dad.
- 22:40Speaker 4: We've got.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Kristin Cavalii's dad. I mean, we should ask Justin if
- 22:46Speaker 2: it was Kristin Cavali's dad. I mean, who's I don't know.
- 22:50Speaker 3: I don't know. I can barely even remember that show.
- 22:53Speaker 2: If there are any listeners out here that want to
- 22:55Speaker 2: be creative. Who's the day with their fan mail and shoes?
- 23:01Speaker 4: This is my address?
- 23:02Speaker 3: Oh you want shoes?
- 23:04Speaker 4: Just like that?
- 23:06Speaker 3: She's like, they were six hundred dollars.
- 23:08Speaker 4: They were six hundred dollars. Then we I mean, just
- 23:12Speaker 4: the reunion keeps panning to like everybody.
- 23:14Speaker 3: It was the most boring reunion. Basically, it was a
- 23:16Speaker 3: recap of everything that happened throughout the season. It was
- 23:19Speaker 3: just a flashback. And then what they finally meet in
- 23:21Speaker 3: Vicky's backyard and Hi, how are you? Oh? Yeah, you're
- 23:25Speaker 3: a drunk?
- 23:27Speaker 4: What about how.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Much conversation conversation there was about Gina's son being gay?
- 23:32Speaker 4: Being gay?
- 23:34Speaker 2: I think at some point every man on Housewives has been.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Yeah, oh for sure, yeah, every man who's been accused
- 23:41Speaker 3: of being gay.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Then Vicky became critical of herself after watching the season back.
- 23:47Speaker 2: She said, it's hard to see herself being portrayed as
- 23:50Speaker 2: a control freak.
- 23:52Speaker 4: I'm like, what did you think? Like, I know, I'm
- 23:54Speaker 4: a control freak. I'm not shocked. Yeah, who do you
- 23:59Speaker 4: think is more control? Mere? Vicky?
- 24:01Speaker 3: Vicky? Vicky is micromanaging everything all the time. Now. Now
- 24:06Speaker 3: this is also the scene where Slade called her missus
- 24:09Speaker 3: oh no, she called herself missus piggy, right.
- 24:12Speaker 4: She critical the one that called her that.
- 24:14Speaker 3: So years after this, Slade went on stage at the improv,
- 24:17Speaker 3: the same improv that we did, the Trace a Megas
- 24:18Speaker 3: in Irvine, to trash me and Vicky. He called me
- 24:22Speaker 3: the michelin man. He said I was fat and put
- 24:25Speaker 3: up an unflattering picture of me in a bathing suit
- 24:29Speaker 3: from a paparazzi in Mexico, and he called Vicky missus piggy.
- 24:34Speaker 3: This was on camera on stage. She thought he was
- 24:36Speaker 3: gonna be a stand up comic.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Vicky and anyone laugh.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Everybody was disgusted by it. Vicky went on to get
- 24:43Speaker 3: a nose job and a chin implant because he called
- 24:46Speaker 3: her missus piggy.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Oh my gosh. I also didn't know all this medical
- 24:51Speaker 4: stuff with Vicky.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Yeah, she's had that. I can't even pronounce it, but
- 24:55Speaker 3: she's I mean, she goes in all the time. They
- 24:57Speaker 3: go in through her ear and they remove all this
- 25:00Speaker 3: stuff inside of her inner ear. If you ever noticed
- 25:03Speaker 3: when she wears sunglasses, they're cricket. That'll be one ears
- 25:08Speaker 3: lower than the other.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Now from all the surgeries, that'll be similar to how
- 25:12Speaker 2: Dove is too because of her lambdoid creany sinistosis surgery.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Like she's her stuff's uneven as well, like her ears
- 25:21Speaker 2: and stuff. You can even tell, like when I pull
- 25:24Speaker 2: her hair back, like her hairlines different.
- 25:27Speaker 4: Huh, But I mean it was I had absolutely no idea.
- 25:31Speaker 4: I assumed it was all just like plastic surgery stuff.
- 25:34Speaker 2: But when she said that, I was like, oh, Okay, Now,
- 25:36Speaker 2: if you've started having surgery.
- 25:38Speaker 4: At a really young age, like it's got to add to.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Well she develops I think with their like tumors inside
- 25:44Speaker 3: of her inner ear, so they have to go in
- 25:46Speaker 3: and remove them. And then I mean she went in
- 25:50Speaker 3: as like a year ago and had to have stuff removed.
- 25:52Speaker 3: So it's ongoing.
- 25:54Speaker 2: And then the reunion ends with Laura says Ashley was
- 25:58Speaker 2: portrayed as spoiled and airs responsible, but that is three
- 26:01Speaker 2: percent of the time. She also says it was Josh's
- 26:04Speaker 2: decision to expose his life to help other families. As
- 26:08Speaker 2: Josh's friends drifted back into his life after Juvie, he
- 26:12Speaker 2: was getting influenced again. She blew him quickly to her
- 26:14Speaker 2: mom's house in Idaho to keep him under check.
- 26:18Speaker 4: I mean, do you believe it was Josh's decision.
- 26:20Speaker 3: No, I don't.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Where does Lauri live now?
- 26:22Speaker 3: She lives close to me. She lives in San Juan Capistrano.
- 26:25Speaker 4: And is she married.
- 26:26Speaker 3: She's married to George. You'll see there at that wedding
- 26:28Speaker 3: on maybe season three or four.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Oh, we're going to see her. Actually do we like George?
- 26:34Speaker 3: Yeah, George is a good guy. He's he's a build.
- 26:38Speaker 3: I think he's build her.
- 26:39Speaker 4: All right, Well, I mean that was season one. That
- 26:43Speaker 4: was season one of Real Housewives of Orange County. I
- 26:47Speaker 4: don't even think there's anything else we can read.
- 26:50Speaker 3: I mean, do you think the standout was for this season?
- 26:54Speaker 4: I mean Vicky?
- 26:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it was definitely Vicky's show.
- 26:58Speaker 2: It was very I mean I think the standout for
- 27:01Speaker 2: the most I mean, without Joe and Slade's drama, I
- 27:05Speaker 2: don't think there is a show at this point. Yeah,
- 27:08Speaker 2: because it's so cringe You're like, ah, but like the
- 27:11Speaker 2: person that you that makes you.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Laugh, there's a comic relief like that. That's Vicky. As
- 27:17Speaker 4: as much as it pains me to say.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Yeah. So after after this season, Kimberly moved to Chicago.
- 27:23Speaker 3: The producer said in the book all Diamonds and rose
- 27:26Speaker 3: that she was asked back to do the show and
- 27:29Speaker 3: she said she wanted nothing to do with it, So
- 27:32Speaker 3: she probably was with one of those that got you know,
- 27:34Speaker 3: her ass hurt from whatever. The bloggers were saying about five.
- 27:40Speaker 4: To ten emails a day to Kimberly at aol dot
- 27:43Speaker 4: com exactly. But either way, I I am glad we
- 27:48Speaker 4: went down this journey and if you guys want to
- 27:51Speaker 4: go down the next journey with us, we will be
- 27:55Speaker 4: watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hill.
- 27:58Speaker 3: I can't wait.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Season one on next we're going to rotate between OC
- 28:02Speaker 2: and Beverly Hills because if not, it just like gets
- 28:04Speaker 2: little stale. So you guys have to watch along with us.
- 28:06Speaker 2: You get the unedited versions here, no commercials. I've never
- 28:12Speaker 2: watched season one of Beverly Hills. Do you even remember
- 28:16Speaker 2: watching it, Tam?
- 28:17Speaker 3: I don't. I don't remember it, but I know that
- 28:19Speaker 3: it was probably about Beverly Hills came on five or
- 28:25Speaker 3: six years into Housewives, the franchise and whole Oh.
- 28:29Speaker 4: I didn't even realize that.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Yeah, So it went from it was first Orange County,
- 28:34Speaker 3: then it was New York, then Jersey. I think it
- 28:36Speaker 3: was Jersey and then it was then it was Beverly Hills,
- 28:39Speaker 3: if I'm not mistaken something like that. So it was
- 28:42Speaker 3: already fine tuned by then. It was a whole different show.
- 28:45Speaker 3: So we're not gonna have to see this grainy shit
- 28:47Speaker 3: that we're saying.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Are we going to see skytops? I think so?
- 28:51Speaker 3: I don't know. I can't remember.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Well, Beverly Hills came in twenty ten, so even like
- 28:56Speaker 2: the equipment has to be different and the oh for sure,
- 28:59Speaker 2: the the videos.
- 29:00Speaker 4: And all of that. But I'm excited.
- 29:03Speaker 2: I like going down this memory lane for us. And
- 29:07Speaker 2: is it memory lane?
- 29:07Speaker 4: If you're not a part of it, what do you
- 29:09Speaker 4: what do you call it? Yeah? Memory not memory lane.
- 29:13Speaker 3: It's what is out there for all of us to watch.
- 29:15Speaker 3: So it's a distant memory.
- 29:20Speaker 4: Oh my gosh. All right, Well, I love.
- 29:22Speaker 2: You, Tam and see you around Okay.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Bye,
