- 0:00SPEAKER_02: You have the decision where you can stay the same person or you can change into this new identity, but you have to cross the river of change to get there.
- 0:07SPEAKER_02: So it's exposing yourself to the things that scare you and crossing that river of change and choosing a new identity.
- 0:14SPEAKER_02: And another big piece to choosing the new identity is to stop talking about the pain and stop talking about the things that brought you there.
- 0:40SPEAKER_08: Super excited to get into your liftoff moments personally, professionally, and spiritually.
- 0:45SPEAKER_08: 12 years in law, which is just absolutely amazing.
- 0:48SPEAKER_08: And to go from law to then you had like a traumatic head injury to then Dr.
- 0:53SPEAKER_08: Joe Dispenza, which I love.
- 0:55SPEAKER_08: I can't wait to talk to Casey about that.
- 0:58SPEAKER_08: And then getting into somatic breath work and helping people heal from their traumatic, whatever they're going through internally, to be able to get to that next level of you know awakening or just feeling free, get out of their head.
- 1:12SPEAKER_08: I literally was doing breath work right before you came.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Wim Hof?
- 1:15SPEAKER_08: Yes.
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: I love Wim Hof.
- 1:17SPEAKER_02: I just I've done his 10-minute YouTube video every day for almost 10 years.
- 1:21SPEAKER_08: Oh my god, I've been doing it for like last four years.
- 1:24SPEAKER_02: So great.
- 1:24SPEAKER_08: I do it every morning.
- 1:26SPEAKER_08: Yeah, I do it every morning.
- 1:27SPEAKER_08: So we have in the gym, I have the red light panel.
- 1:29SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 1:30SPEAKER_08: And the wife, I got the cap.
- 1:31SPEAKER_08: Because I'm getting a little boning right here.
- 1:33SPEAKER_08: So she's like, you gotta get the cap.
- 1:35SPEAKER_08: So I got the cap.
- 1:36SPEAKER_08: So I do the breath work every morning.
- 1:40SPEAKER_08: I have that out there too.
- 1:41SPEAKER_08: I have that out there too.
- 1:42SPEAKER_08: I was doing the I was jumping on the small trampoline right before you came, did a little bit of breath work because I was like, because you know how it goes.
- 1:49SPEAKER_08: Like you're in the technology world.
- 1:50SPEAKER_08: I've been on the computer all day.
- 1:52SPEAKER_08: I'm like, all right, and we got a couple hours together.
- 1:54SPEAKER_08: So I'm like, let's get myself down because I was talking last night with my wife to my wife about downregulation.
- 2:00SPEAKER_08: And a lot of people are doing drugs or alcohol or TV or all these external things to downregulate, sort of just breathing and meditating and taking a walk and just doing things to like jump on the trampoline, vibration plate, right?
- 2:13SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 2:13SPEAKER_08: So um let's get into your story.
- 2:15SPEAKER_08: Okay, let's get to the show.
- 2:16SPEAKER_08: So like why law?
- 2:18SPEAKER_08: What were you practicing in law?
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: Well, I was not a lawyer.
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: I was in marketing, content creation, community development, business development, podcast, social, she's out there.
- 2:27SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: So it was my family's law firm.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: And right after, well, right when I started college, I started working with them.
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: So as family businesses go, you kind of just get like roped in and start getting really comfortable and staying there.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: And to be honest, I did not think I would ever do anything else.
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: I was 18, 19 years old.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: And I mean, it was the best thing ever.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: Of course.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: So much opportunity and just so much um responsibility.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: I was just so far ahead of everyone my age.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: And so I just thought I had it completely made.
- 3:03SPEAKER_02: But then as you get older and you start to grow and your passions and your interests change, you start to realize there's more out in the world.
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: And so that's what eventually got me out of law.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: But although I worked with lawyers all day, every day, I'm not an attorney.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: But my husband is, so I can't escape him.
- 3:20SPEAKER_08: Oh my gosh.
- 3:22SPEAKER_08: It's still super close.
- 3:24SPEAKER_08: I love that.
- 3:25SPEAKER_08: What type of uh what type of law?
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Personal injury.
- 3:28SPEAKER_08: Personal injury.
- 3:28SPEAKER_08: You know what's interesting?
- 3:29SPEAKER_08: Come out to Arizona.
- 3:30SPEAKER_08: I saw all the billboards for like the personal injury.
- 3:33SPEAKER_08: I guess Arizona is one of like the highest dates for like rear-end accidents.
- 3:37SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 3:37SPEAKER_08: I had no idea that was a thing.
- 3:40SPEAKER_08: And uh also very strict for the 20 plus over-the-speed limit criminal law.
- 3:45SPEAKER_08: Uh, I'm learning a lot about that.
- 3:46SPEAKER_08: I got a court case next week to go and have some fun with.
- 3:49SPEAKER_08: Yes.
- 3:50SPEAKER_08: It was it was going to my father-in-law has a place up in Deer Creek right before Payson.
- 3:55SPEAKER_08: And it was a Saturday night after a car show.
- 3:58SPEAKER_08: We were in my wife's SUV, and it goes from like over by the lake by Dutchman's Lake.
- 4:03SPEAKER_08: Like it's um, what is it called?
- 4:04SPEAKER_08: It goes from like a 45 to a 35.
- 4:07SPEAKER_08: And I looked down, I was like oh my god, I gotta slow down, and I caught up the traffic, so I couldn't speed anymore, anyways.
- 4:12SPEAKER_08: And of course, got me on radar, pulled me over the whole night.
- 4:15SPEAKER_08: I was, hey, sorry, officer.
- 4:16SPEAKER_08: I just I looked down, I you know, it's obviously dark, yeah, and there was no one out, and it's it's where the salt water salt river rafting is in that area over there.
- 4:26SPEAKER_08: And so I just I was like, yeah, I was just totally honest.
- 4:29SPEAKER_08: I was my wife and my daughter, I wasn't in any of my fast cars, yeah.
- 4:32SPEAKER_08: And it was just like, all right, nope.
- 4:34SPEAKER_08: So they gave me a plea bargain for like three points, and I was like, it went from criminal to civil to three points.
- 4:40SPEAKER_08: I'm like, I'm gonna take my daughter, lead by example for her.
- 4:43SPEAKER_08: I've already written down my statement, and I'm just gonna do what I gotta do.
- 4:46SPEAKER_08: So Arizona crazy drivers.
- 4:48SPEAKER_08: Yeah, they they drive so aggressively.
- 4:51SPEAKER_08: I literally was like just driving and I wanted to merge, use my blinker and everything, and the car like sped up.
- 4:56SPEAKER_08: I'm like, dude, you don't even want to let me in.
- 4:58SPEAKER_08: Holy cow.
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: The amount of times I get honked at for not being an aggressive driver, like, I'm not gonna risk my life and turn for your comfort behind me.
- 5:07SPEAKER_02: And then you can sit and wait.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: And so I get honked at, and I people are aggressive.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: I'm scared of these drivers out here.
- 5:14SPEAKER_08: People are aggressive.
- 5:15SPEAKER_08: So I get it, Arizona, why you gotta do what you gotta do.
- 5:17SPEAKER_08: So it's all good.
- 5:19SPEAKER_08: So, what was the tipping point?
- 5:20SPEAKER_08: So you're doing the law, and then you what was like, what made you start to like look out and be like, hmm, there's more out there, and start to explore.
- 5:27SPEAKER_08: Was there a catalyst?
- 5:28SPEAKER_08: Was there something that came up for you that made you think about like what's next?
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so I had a few moments in my in that law journey.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: So I started with a personal health journey.
- 5:39SPEAKER_02: I used to suffer from really bad constipation and sick acne.
- 5:43SPEAKER_02: And so I was just really unhealthy.
- 5:45SPEAKER_02: I was living a very just traditional life.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: And so as I started to heal my gut and heal my skin and just heal my hormones and all these things, that's what opened up my eyes to the wellness world.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: So while I was working at the law firm, I started my Instagram page.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: This was probably, oh my gosh, like 15 years ago.
- 6:05SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 6:06SPEAKER_02: And I just started kind of like blogging my journey and posting recipes because everyone was asking me, like, what are you doing?
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: What are you doing?
- 6:13SPEAKER_02: So I just used that as my creative outlet, which was really important to me because I was suppressing so much of my creativity in the law firm.
- 6:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 6:23SPEAKER_02: And so I was like, I need to express this out somewhere.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: And so I started the Instagram page and started building that.
- 6:29SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 6:29SPEAKER_02: And then what led me to breath work was like completely separate from that.
- 6:34SPEAKER_02: So we can go there when you're ready, but that initial health crisis almost is what kind of shifted my mind into being more focused on the wellness space.
- 6:42SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 6:43SPEAKER_08: I love that.
- 6:43SPEAKER_08: Talk about uh lift top omit.
- 6:45SPEAKER_08: So I actually um colitis, diagnosed with colitis, large and uh large inflammation of inflammation.
- 6:52SPEAKER_08: It was like his body inflammation and uh autoimmune is what I was getting at.
- 6:57SPEAKER_08: And so autoimmune and my body was attacking itself large intestine and blood in the stool, losing a lot of weight, and what have you in my 20s.
- 7:05SPEAKER_08: And so I had to also like get myself on track with my health and what I was eating, my stress level, making sure I'm down regulating to be able to get myself on track as well.
- 7:15SPEAKER_08: So a little less different than constipation.
- 7:17SPEAKER_08: I actually didn't have that at all, but exact opposite.
- 7:20SPEAKER_08: Exact exact opposite.
- 7:21SPEAKER_08: Um, but it's interesting how the body, it's like sometimes you have no choice but to look at alternatives because what's what we're so used to is is not good for us.
- 7:31SPEAKER_08: Just the normal diets.
- 7:33SPEAKER_02: Well, and what I went to the doctor because I was more concerned about my acne at the time because as a young woman, you're just so self-conscious when you are just breaking out.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:42SPEAKER_02: So I was going to the dermatologist and they were putting me on antibiotics.
- 7:45SPEAKER_02: And if you know anything about antibiotics, they're horrible for you.
- 7:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: You should only take them in a very small dose, very minimally.
- 7:52SPEAKER_02: And at that point, they had me on them for an entire year.
- 7:55SPEAKER_04: Oh my.
- 7:56SPEAKER_02: Which then messes up your gut even more.
- 7:58SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 7:59SPEAKER_02: And so I went back and I was like, the acne's still here.
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: What's going on?
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: And she's like, well, let's double your dose.
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: And I was like, hell no.
- 8:07SPEAKER_02: Because I'm already, I know this is not good for my system.
- 8:10SPEAKER_02: I'm already constipated.
- 8:12SPEAKER_02: I know it's like messing up my gut even more, and it's not working.
- 8:15SPEAKER_02: And so during that year, I was researching how to heal myself, and then I made the realization antibiotics are not good.
- 8:22SPEAKER_02: So I left her uh office and was like, I'm gonna heal myself naturally.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: So that's when I went on the journey of eating better.
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: I mean, I wasn't even eating full meals, I was having like carrots and hummus for dinner.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: I didn't even know like what a full meal was.
- 8:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:36SPEAKER_02: So really just started putting all my efforts into healing my skin and my gut.
- 8:40SPEAKER_02: And yeah, never really tapped back into the medical system.
- 8:44SPEAKER_08: Dude, congratulations.
- 8:45SPEAKER_08: That's that's super awesome.
- 8:46SPEAKER_08: That's so cool.
- 8:47SPEAKER_08: And by the way, over here, I have the headphones, so also I'm pushing buttons.
- 8:50SPEAKER_08: So there's like clap and this and that.
- 8:52SPEAKER_08: And I'm like, I'm like those.
- 8:55SPEAKER_08: I'm like pretending like she hears it, but she has no idea.
- 8:58SPEAKER_08: But y'all hear it.
- 8:58SPEAKER_08: Uh you'll have to when you play back, you'll hear it.
- 9:01SPEAKER_08: Um, so what was like some for viewers and listeners, what were some things that you started to do to start to eat differently, to start getting your body back on track?
- 9:10SPEAKER_08: Because maybe someone out there is dealing with acne or they're dealing with constipation.
- 9:14SPEAKER_08: So, what were some of the steps and what'd you start eating?
- 9:16SPEAKER_02: Well, the ri the initial thing was just cutting the sugar.
- 9:20SPEAKER_02: I was like the girl who went to Starbucks every single morning and got her Frappuccino and then had a headache.
- 9:24SPEAKER_02: Like you out there?
- 9:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, then had a headache by lunchtime, and I was like, this makes sense.
- 9:28SPEAKER_02: I'm cramped like drinking all the sugar.
- 9:30SPEAKER_02: So little things like that, like stopping sugar, not eating McFlurries every night.
- 9:34SPEAKER_02: I cannot even believe this is who I was back in the day.
- 9:37SPEAKER_02: Like, this is crazy.
- 9:38SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 9:39SPEAKER_02: But really quitting the sugar.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: I remember I bought a juicer and I was like, I'm gonna juice every single day.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna make a healthy green juice and start there.
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: And I just took these little micro steps exercising every day, tracking my water.
- 9:51SPEAKER_02: And then as I got more into my healing journey, that's when I really started like really cutting all processed food and all that stuff.
- 9:59SPEAKER_02: So I always say, like, look at the little things like the sugar, the processed food, the chips, the cookies, all of those things is a great starting place.
- 10:07SPEAKER_08: I love that.
- 10:08SPEAKER_08: Hey, there you go.
- 10:10SPEAKER_08: That's where you gotta start.
- 10:11SPEAKER_08: And I think it's so simple, but it isn't for some because I know some people love, like, I used to eat at Chick-fil-A.
- 10:18SPEAKER_08: And I, y'all out there, I thought this, probably you did too, it was one of the healthier ones.
- 10:24SPEAKER_08: Then I started looking into the documentations and the YouTube videos and like what's in the chicken and how many ingredients.
- 10:31SPEAKER_08: And my wife and I were like, we're done.
- 10:33SPEAKER_08: We're not eating that anymore.
- 10:34SPEAKER_02: It's the ingredient list because you'll eat a chicken sandwich and think it's chicken and bread, but then when you look that everything they're cooking the chicken in and all the ingredients in the bread, it's not chicken and bread.
- 10:46SPEAKER_02: So the ingredients is also a great place to start as well.
- 10:49SPEAKER_08: I love that.
- 10:49SPEAKER_08: I love that.
- 10:50SPEAKER_08: So, from the time that you were taking the medication to the time that you got off the medication and you then saw results, like not constipated, acne clearing up, like how long did that take before you started to see, like, oh wow, this is working?
- 11:03SPEAKER_02: It was less than a year for sure.
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: I remember because I had this calendar.
- 11:06SPEAKER_02: I'm like so type A sometimes.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: So I had a calendar and it was December, okay, Christmas when I bought my juicer.
- 11:13SPEAKER_02: And I was like, This next year, I'm focused.
- 11:15SPEAKER_02: I'm locked in, I'm gonna heal myself.
- 11:17SPEAKER_02: And I tracked every single day.
- 11:19SPEAKER_02: I still have the calendar.
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: Um, every single day.
- 11:21SPEAKER_02: Did I do my juice?
- 11:22SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 11:23SPEAKER_02: Did I poop?
- 11:24SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 11:24SPEAKER_02: How's my skin?
- 11:25SPEAKER_02: And I tracked it for an entire year.
- 11:27SPEAKER_02: And I would say, probably like six months in, things were really starting to clear up.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:32SPEAKER_08: Dude, congratulations.
- 11:34SPEAKER_08: Sag about liftoff.
- 11:35SPEAKER_08: That's so cool.
- 11:36SPEAKER_08: No, I mean, it's something that people I think that maybe don't even think about.
- 11:40SPEAKER_08: And it's unfortunate that it's hard for us, I think, sometimes to look in the mirror and be like, what am I doing?
- 11:45SPEAKER_08: What am I not doing?
- 11:47SPEAKER_08: What could I be doing?
- 11:48SPEAKER_08: And then you go to the doctors, it's it's just what we do.
- 11:50SPEAKER_08: And then you talk to your doctor, you tell them what's going on, and they want to give you something to fix the problem, which doesn't fix a problem, it just puts a band-aid on it.
- 11:57SPEAKER_08: And then you're kicking it down the field until, you know, out of the universe, man upstairs, Jesus, whatever you believe says, hello.
- 12:05SPEAKER_08: Like you gotta, you gotta look in the mirror and start doing some self-evaluation, ask yourself, what are you committed to?
- 12:10SPEAKER_08: And uh, congratulations to you to be able to do that to now be where you're at today.
- 12:14SPEAKER_08: So, all right, now you're feeling better.
- 12:16SPEAKER_08: Yeah, now you're exploring.
- 12:18SPEAKER_08: And so then what happened?
- 12:20SPEAKER_08: Like, were you now working somewhere else out of the law firm?
- 12:23SPEAKER_08: Were you still in the law firm?
- 12:25SPEAKER_08: Because I want to kind of get into and I want to kind of like I heard your story and I want to kind of bring them into the story from the conception of like you went to the law firm, you started to see option to opportunities, you healed yourself, and then what happened afterwards?
- 12:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, okay, so I was still working in the law firm after I healed myself.
- 12:45SPEAKER_02: And at this point, I'm reading all of the books, right?
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: I'm reading the secret, I'm doing all these things, and my mind is really starting to open.
- 12:52SPEAKER_02: Like there is a world outside of these four walls.
- 12:56SPEAKER_08: The food helps too, y'all.
- 12:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it does when you're not like bogged down by all the sugar and stuff and caffeine.
- 13:02SPEAKER_02: Um, and so at that time I got really interested in plant medicine.
- 13:07SPEAKER_04: Ooh.
- 13:08SPEAKER_02: So, but here's the thing with the plant medicine.
- 13:10SPEAKER_02: On my first it was a weekend long situation, week and long journey in that plant medicine journey is when I fell and hit my head.
- 13:19SPEAKER_08: Interesting.
- 13:20SPEAKER_02: And that's where the injury came from.
- 13:21SPEAKER_08: Interesting.
- 13:22SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 13:23SPEAKER_02: So at that point, I was very much so in my journey of there's more to the world besides these four doors.
- 13:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:30SPEAKER_02: Let me dive into plant medicine and see like what other realizations and what other epiphanies can come from this.
- 13:36SPEAKER_02: Cause I knew a lot of people close to me who were just having really amazing experiences.
- 13:41SPEAKER_02: So naturally, I was very curious and I went down that road.
- 13:45SPEAKER_02: And yeah, the morning, I think it was the morning on our final journey.
- 13:50SPEAKER_02: I woke up, got super lightheaded, passed out, hit my head, and sustained a really, really horrible concussion.
- 13:58SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: That concussion was.
- 13:59SPEAKER_08: Now were you traveling abroad or no?
- 14:01SPEAKER_02: It was here.
- 14:02SPEAKER_08: Oh my God.
- 14:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the shaman goes around to different houses.
- 14:05SPEAKER_02: You can book them for private events.
- 14:06SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 14:07SPEAKER_02: And um, I was in a house on the floor, and I woke up after blacking out like what just happened.
- 14:13SPEAKER_08: Oh my god.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: And that is really what you want to call the lift-off experience because that changed my entire world.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: I went from being a vibrant, social, overworking, high achieving, like social drinker, everything you could like think of in a young 20-year-old.
- 14:31SPEAKER_02: Well, I was actually 27 at the time.
- 14:33SPEAKER_02: Um, to literally being stuck in my bed.
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: My head, I was so dizzy.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: I um had headaches, everything was blurry, I couldn't drive, I had anxiety, I was getting panic attacks.
- 14:45SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 14:45SPEAKER_02: All of the things in my life overnight was like, who is this person?
- 14:50SPEAKER_02: And I started to fall into like a pretty deep depression.
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: On the outside, I looked fine, but inside I was not okay.
- 14:58SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 14:59SPEAKER_02: I was like sleeping off the physical and mental pain just because I was like, I don't know what's happening.
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: I guess this is post-concussive syndrome, like, but it just kept going, kept going, kept going.
- 15:11SPEAKER_02: And in the density of that is when I found Joe Dispensa.
- 15:16SPEAKER_08: So, really quick question.
- 15:17SPEAKER_08: I can't wait to get to the subject on Joe Dispenza.
- 15:20SPEAKER_08: So, did now was this before or after the ceremony?
- 15:25SPEAKER_02: It was okay.
- 15:26SPEAKER_02: So, we it was Friday and Saturday night, and this was Sunday morning.
- 15:29SPEAKER_02: So it was our final day, and I don't think we had a journey that night.
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: We were just saying our goodbyes.
- 15:34SPEAKER_02: So we woke up Sunday and I was like, Oh, I'm gonna go up and go use the restroom.
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, boom, fell back.
- 15:39SPEAKER_08: And like when you went through the ceremony, did you already have like maybe some profound things that came up for you?
- 15:45SPEAKER_02: Oh, yes.
- 15:46SPEAKER_02: I mean, two nights were the first night was the most aggressive thing ever because I didn't really know what have you done plant medicine?
- 15:55SPEAKER_08: Not yet.
- 15:55SPEAKER_08: Okay, no, not yet.
- 15:57SPEAKER_02: Don't let any of this scare you.
- 15:58SPEAKER_08: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:59SPEAKER_08: It's it's a part of the journey, y'all.
- 16:00SPEAKER_02: It is.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: So I didn't really know what to expect.
- 16:02SPEAKER_02: I went in very blindly.
- 16:04SPEAKER_08: Were we talking ayahuasca?
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: Uh it was an ayahuasca mushroom chocolate blend.
- 16:07SPEAKER_02: So it's half and half.
- 16:09SPEAKER_08: So I have mushrooms, yes, but just not at a higher dose.
- 16:12SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 16:12SPEAKER_08: Microdosing, things like that, yes.
- 16:14SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 16:15SPEAKER_08: Um, but yeah, continue.
- 16:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so it was a pretty heavy like substance, so to speak.
- 16:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:20SPEAKER_02: And I'm a very sensitive person.
- 16:22SPEAKER_02: Like, if you take an Advil, I can take one eighth of it and get the same effect.
- 16:26SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 16:27SPEAKER_02: As you like, literally, I cut up cheap date.
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: I no, seriously, I cut up all my supplements like into tiny pieces because I don't need a lot.
- 16:34SPEAKER_08: No wonder the sugar affected you so much.
- 16:36SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 16:37SPEAKER_08: Because if you're that sensitive, I can imagine your body was just going like, holy cow.
- 16:40SPEAKER_02: Yes, and it's interesting because at the time, I didn't even realize how sensitive I was because I was so disconnected from myself in general.
- 16:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:48SPEAKER_02: You know, I'm like the girl who can take the hottest showers and like take the most pain.
- 16:52SPEAKER_02: And it's like I didn't even realize it at the time, but now I'm like, oh my gosh, my body is a very sensitive body in all those years of putting it through pain and even drugs and all the things.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, that's not good.
- 17:06SPEAKER_02: No, you know, no, and so um circling back to your question, yes, the first night was very intense and aggressive for me.
- 17:15SPEAKER_02: I didn't know the intention behind plant medicine was to release and express yourself.
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: So I like it starts to hit me, and I'm laying next to someone very close to me, and she just starts like laughing her ass off and really going into it.
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: And I start like, oh my god, like I'm starting to laugh too.
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I started to shut it down because growing up, like we were not allowed to express ourselves in that way.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: So I was like, wait a second, she's laughing, someone's suffering over there.
- 17:47SPEAKER_02: I can't laugh, like, shut it down.
- 17:49SPEAKER_02: So within, I'm not even kidding, 20 minutes of this 10-hour fucking journey, I was like curled up into a ball and was suppressing every emotion, every um expression that was wanting to come out.
- 18:02SPEAKER_02: My body was shaking, I was tremoring, I was in so much pain, my jaw was hurting.
- 18:06SPEAKER_06: Wow.
- 18:07SPEAKER_02: They were trying to support me, but I did not realize that the intention behind this stuff is to let it go, unravel.
- 18:15SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 18:16SPEAKER_08: Did the shaman not tell you before?
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: Or I think I here's the thing the setting we were in, it was a lot of people who I knew and I felt I didn't feel safe.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: I felt safe physically, but safe emotionally, expressing expressing in front of everyone.
- 18:33SPEAKER_08: I got it, got it.
- 18:33SPEAKER_02: So I was like, I don't want them to see me like that.
- 18:36SPEAKER_02: And so I really, really shut it down.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: And I remember it was the most intense, aggressive experience of my life, and um and so the lesson from that was like my control because that's how I could try to control everything in life.
- 18:50SPEAKER_02: But like I can literally control every situation with so much force, and that force, like I actually could feel the resistance, like what happens in your body when you're controlling things.
- 19:01SPEAKER_02: So then the next day, we're like, okay, we're not gonna do ayahuasca, we're gonna do something a little bit more gentle, at least for me.
- 19:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so I did um MDMA.
- 19:11SPEAKER_02: Yep, and it was the most beautiful experience I've ever had.
- 19:18SPEAKER_06: Wow.
- 19:19SPEAKER_02: It was so amazing.
- 19:20SPEAKER_02: It was gentle, but it was potent.
- 19:23SPEAKER_02: And it's funny because the shaman said, he goes, Everyone comes in here wanting to do ayahuasca, but they don't need it.
- 19:28SPEAKER_02: They need the heart opener.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: Like we need to reconnect with our hearts.
- 19:31SPEAKER_02: So he always recommends that.
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: But of course, I was like, no, ayahuasca mushrooms, you know?
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: And so the second night I do the MDMA and have a really, really, really beautiful, gentle, yet profound experience about just self-love and how much I pour into everyone else and not me.
- 19:48SPEAKER_02: And it was actually really interesting to think about because have you done MDMA assistic therapy?
- 19:53SPEAKER_08: I have not.
- 19:54SPEAKER_08: My wife has, and I supported her about a month ago with that.
- 19:57SPEAKER_08: But uh, she has some facilitators and what have you on that.
- 19:59SPEAKER_08: But and I had also a guest on as well who who has experience.
- 20:03SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: So you on these journeys, you're laying back on your mat with like an eye mask on, so it's very much so inward.
- 20:09SPEAKER_02: And I remember it was like a projector screen in front of me, and every single person who was in my life and who I loved would like show up, and I was able to express to them how much I appreciated and how much I love them, and just how much I adored them.
- 20:22SPEAKER_02: And when I was complete, the projector would naturally switch to the next person.
- 20:27SPEAKER_02: And so it's doing this, and at the very end, it gets to me.
- 20:31SPEAKER_02: And I was like, You have a pretty smile, you're so funny.
- 20:38SPEAKER_02: Like, I was not really able to acknowledge like how wonderful I am.
- 20:43SPEAKER_02: I it was it was really hard for me, and I was trying to get the projector to go, and it was like, uh-uh.
- 20:49unknown: Uh-uh.
- 20:49SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 20:50SPEAKER_02: Sit here and like, what is it?
- 20:52SPEAKER_02: Look at yourself, like have this moment with yourself, and that revealed to me how much I really, really didn't love or like myself on a deep level.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: I can only come up with surface things.
- 21:05SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: And so that was the realization from that, which was you can so easily admire and love everyone else, but you have none of that for yourself.
- 21:16SPEAKER_04: Oh wow.
- 21:17SPEAKER_02: And in the moment, in that stage of life, I didn't really, I wasn't really able to realize the truth of that.
- 21:23SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 21:24SPEAKER_02: But now, as I've gone on my healing journey, I am able to recognize like you really were suffering as like a young 20-year-old.
- 21:34SPEAKER_02: And your your whole life, pretty much.
- 21:36SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 21:37SPEAKER_08: And what do you what do you think that stemmed from?
- 21:38SPEAKER_08: Was it like maybe parents because of the upbringing, um, family, people around you?
- 21:44SPEAKER_08: Because I know a lot of people out there probably also deal with and suffer with not feeling self worth and that being something for them that they feel like, you know, it just it is what it is.
- 21:53SPEAKER_08: You know, Jeff's better, Stacy's better, I'm just whatever.
- 21:56SPEAKER_08: Like, you know, like you can you really remember at a time of life it was like.
- 22:00SPEAKER_08: Like, was that ingrained at a small at a young age or something that came up for you at that time?
- 22:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, like kind of reflecting back on all of that, I feel like I just wore a facade for so long.
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: I knew exactly how to please everyone, to keep everyone happy and not rock the bow, and just I really just was showing up like a doll for everyone else to keep the peace in every aspect of my life.
- 22:28SPEAKER_02: And so I just didn't even know who I was.
- 22:30SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 22:31SPEAKER_02: And every time like I would come up against any like familial issues or any resistance in the workplace or anything like that, it was like the end all be all because I was trying so hard to make everyone else happy and didn't care at all about my own happiness.
- 22:47SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 22:47SPEAKER_02: So at that point in my life, I didn't think about myself at all.
- 22:50SPEAKER_08: No, I can imagine.
- 22:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:52SPEAKER_02: So that's really where it came from.
- 22:54SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 22:54SPEAKER_08: So you're talking internal things that came up for you at that time growing up, and also external, like the sugar, the Starbucks, and all that, and then what you're eating, and then also how you're thinking about yourself.
- 23:08SPEAKER_08: So the emotional body, the physical body, I mean, on all these different levels, you're and it's probably the spiritual side too.
- 23:15SPEAKER_08: It was just like it's not like you're putting yourself through a lot, like at this time.
- 23:19SPEAKER_02: I mean, I was just living on pure default.
- 23:21SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: And I this word is thrown around a lot, but like survival mode.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:27SPEAKER_02: And it's interesting because if you look at my life from the outside, you wouldn't think, you're like, what are you surviving?
- 23:31SPEAKER_02: You have a great job, you have a great family, like what is it?
- 23:35SPEAKER_02: But survival mode is also when you're trying so hard to please other people and um self-abandoning yourself because you're putting everyone else first and you're overachieving and trying to prove and just trying to wear this mask to literally keep people happy.
- 23:50SPEAKER_02: That's a form of survival.
- 23:52SPEAKER_08: Interesting.
- 23:53SPEAKER_02: So even you know, if you look at someone from the outside, I always say, like, you have no idea what's going on mentally, internally with anybody.
- 24:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 24:01SPEAKER_02: Like we don't know their dynamic with their husband, with their wife, with their boss, whatever it is.
- 24:06SPEAKER_08: Yes.
- 24:07SPEAKER_08: Wow, wow, wow.
- 24:08SPEAKER_08: That's that's just amazing.
- 24:10SPEAKER_08: And it ties back into like that don't judge a book by its cover.
- 24:14SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 24:14SPEAKER_08: You know, because I think a lot of people think that like because it looks a certain type of way externally, it is the same internally.
- 24:21SPEAKER_08: Um, and I think that a lot of us, right?
- 24:23SPEAKER_08: We we see the media, they see the news, we see music videos, we see all these things.
- 24:27SPEAKER_08: So we think that this is a certain way of being, and then you you try to achieve that, or maybe it's because of monetary value, and you get all this money, and then you get to the end of the yellow brick road, you're like, oh, hmm, okay, I gotta look in the mirror here because uh this isn't as good as I thought it was gonna be, or I didn't think I thought that was gonna be different.
- 24:45SPEAKER_08: So uh so congratulations first and foremost to like see all these things.
- 24:49SPEAKER_08: Um, so like when you started to feel lightheaded, was like you just got up, and then like you just that was it?
- 24:57SPEAKER_02: Literally.
- 24:58SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 24:59SPEAKER_02: I just got up, we were all sleeping in the living room on the journey, and I got up to use the restroom, and I walked down the hall, and just next thing I knew, like boom, just blackout, fell back.
- 25:10SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 25:10SPEAKER_02: I'm tall, I'm 4'9, so that was a fall, that was a long fall.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I remember taller than me, y'all.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and yeah, it kind of came out of nowhere.
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: I just I didn't even really feel myself getting too dizzy or lightheaded, but you know, you stand up and you get a little lightheaded sometimes.
- 25:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was like that, but blackout to the point.
- 25:28SPEAKER_08: Wow, and it happened so quick too, because I was doing the Wim Hawk breathing, and I was like, I don't know what the heck.
- 25:33SPEAKER_08: I was like in between the breath, and I was like, Oh yeah, I'll just go ahead and turn on the fan real quick.
- 25:38SPEAKER_08: And the next thing you know, I blacked out and I found myself holding onto the shelf, going like this.
- 25:42SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 25:43SPEAKER_08: And I'm like, my like the head's buzzing, I'm disjointed.
- 25:46SPEAKER_08: I I hit my head on the freaking shelf.
- 25:47SPEAKER_08: I'm like, what just happened?
- 25:48SPEAKER_08: Like, what it was so scary.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: It's exactly that, but without having that time to realize what's happening and grab something, it was just black out.
- 25:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:57SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 25:57SPEAKER_08: And then so that happened.
- 25:58SPEAKER_08: They checked on you.
- 25:59SPEAKER_08: Did you go to the hospital?
- 26:01SPEAKER_02: No, I actually felt like okay that day.
- 26:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 26:05SPEAKER_02: And a few days after I felt fine.
- 26:08SPEAKER_02: And then um, I was in a yoga class.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: I probably should have taken some more time off from working out.
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: She's like, I'm right back to it.
- 26:15SPEAKER_08: Let's go.
- 26:16SPEAKER_08: Let's get it done.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: It was probably a week later.
- 26:19SPEAKER_02: I was in uh a hot yoga class and I seriously felt fine.
- 26:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 26:23SPEAKER_02: But then um, I was doing one of the moves and my the vertigo, it just hit me out of nowhere.
- 26:30SPEAKER_02: And I'm in the corner of this yoga class.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's like a hundred degrees in there.
- 26:34SPEAKER_02: I'm sweating, it's hot.
- 26:35SPEAKER_02: I am freaking the fuck out because I think I'm gonna pass out again.
- 26:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:39SPEAKER_02: This vertigo.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: So I lay down, the woman comes over, puts all these towels on me, and then I go to the ER because I was like, what's happening?
- 26:48SPEAKER_02: I had never felt vertigo in my life before.
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: And so I remember that night, um, my husband took me, gosh, these memories are so crazy.
- 26:56SPEAKER_02: It's been so long.
- 26:57SPEAKER_02: Um, my husband took me to the ER, and of course, they were like, You're fine, you know, it's just post-concussive syndrome, sent me with a$5,000 bill.
- 27:05SPEAKER_08: Of course, yeah.
- 27:06SPEAKER_02: And sent me on my way.
- 27:08SPEAKER_08: Jesus.
- 27:09SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 27:10SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 27:10SPEAKER_08: Interesting.
- 27:11SPEAKER_08: And then do you think that the the process?
- 27:15SPEAKER_08: Because I I know that after you do plant medicine or Reiki or ayahuasca, like there is a uh time frame of you just kind of like see things, things happen, things can come up, you could purge.
- 27:28SPEAKER_08: So do you think maybe there's a combination of the head trauma plus you just went through these ceremonies?
- 27:33SPEAKER_08: So it was maybe like a double whammy.
- 27:36SPEAKER_02: It was very disorienting for me.
- 27:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 27:38SPEAKER_02: Like it looking back at it, there was no real integration process, nor even at the time, if there was, I don't think I would have taken it seriously, to be honest, you know.
- 27:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 27:48SPEAKER_02: And so I felt like it must this must be part of the journey.
- 27:52SPEAKER_02: You know, the stories we tell ourselves to make ourselves feel better.
- 27:54SPEAKER_02: I'm like, it must still be in it.
- 27:56SPEAKER_08: Yeah, yeah.
- 27:56SPEAKER_02: No, but you just have a concussion.
- 27:58SPEAKER_08: Yeah, let's just be real.
- 27:59SPEAKER_02: Let's just be real here.
- 28:00SPEAKER_02: And so, um, but no, I do think that that it was very disorienting because you are now this can of worms is open.
- 28:07SPEAKER_02: You never look at life the same, you never look at people the same.
- 28:10SPEAKER_02: And so now you are just looking through this new, like the the veil is so far removed and dealing with an injury.
- 28:19SPEAKER_08: There was a lot happening there for sure.
- 28:22SPEAKER_08: Talk about diving in the deep end and not knowing how to swim.
- 28:25SPEAKER_02: Literally, it was really, really intense.
- 28:28SPEAKER_02: And at that time is when I went part-time at the law firm.
- 28:31SPEAKER_02: So that kind of uh pushed me out of it a little bit.
- 28:35SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 28:36SPEAKER_02: And so I started to just spend more time at home.
- 28:39SPEAKER_02: And for that first year, it was very, very, it wasn't great.
- 28:43SPEAKER_02: I was, I was soul searching, I was um looking for anything to fix and heal me.
- 28:48SPEAKER_02: That's when I found the Joe Dispenso work.
- 28:50SPEAKER_02: But there were a few months there where it was, it was tough.
- 28:55SPEAKER_02: It was tough for probably a year.
- 28:56SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 28:57SPEAKER_08: Yeah, I I was uh I went to your website, social media, was watching some of your stories and just like, you know, pulling over because you need to like calm yourself down because you're having a panic attack and all these things that are coming up for you.
- 29:09SPEAKER_08: Oh, yeah.
- 29:09SPEAKER_08: Which is just like, holy cow.
- 29:11SPEAKER_08: And was there any triggers do you know of like that would like automatically push you into a download spiral or you'd get into a panic attack?
- 29:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, the anxiety and the panic attacks were bad to the point where I was pulling over, calling my sister, freaking out.
- 29:26SPEAKER_02: I was trying to go to the chiropractor, trying to go to my doctor's appointments.
- 29:29SPEAKER_02: I was going to probably three doctor's appointments a week and just on the road a lot.
- 29:34SPEAKER_02: And so anything that was like visually disruptive, but also this is what put me into a very um hyper-vigilant mode.
- 29:43SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 29:43SPEAKER_02: Because now anytime I felt any type of movement, because it was like taking me back to the yoga situation, like what's happening here, or anytime I saw any visual disturbance, which is normal and natural for this light to flicker, like I should be able to see that and not think of anything, but it was like, what is that?
- 30:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it would send danger signs to my body.
- 30:03SPEAKER_02: And so it would immediately put me in this survival state.
- 30:07SPEAKER_08: Flight or flight.
- 30:08SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 30:08SPEAKER_02: It happened while I was driving, it happened at restaurants, and the more that you feed into the fear and the anxiety, the worse that it gets.
- 30:15SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 30:15SPEAKER_02: So I was leaving restaurants mid-meal, like having these panic attacks, uh, pulling over.
- 30:20SPEAKER_02: My world just got very, very small.
- 30:23SPEAKER_02: Like I was not leaving the house, I was not seeing anybody like socially, and it was becoming really depressed.
- 30:30SPEAKER_08: Yeah, I can imagine.
- 30:31SPEAKER_08: Holy cow.
- 30:32SPEAKER_08: It reminds me when I was in my 20s.
- 30:34SPEAKER_08: It was like, I think I just moved out with an ex-girlfriend.
- 30:37SPEAKER_08: It was like 1920, uh, just had like a big boy job, and um, and I remember I went through about a year of I just all suddenly freaked out.
- 30:46SPEAKER_08: And I was like, Mom, I'm selling your insurance.
- 30:49SPEAKER_08: I need a therapist.
- 30:50SPEAKER_08: And I called the therapist and I went in the shower, I was hyperventilating, and I could my brain was like fragmented, I couldn't think of anything, my heart was going crazy, and it took me a year, and I didn't have any head injury injury anything like that, but it took me about a year because I remember when I was probably 17, 18, 19, I started to really like think about the concept of this reality and life and death and why I'm here, and then the concept of death was just like would automatically give me anxiety because holy shit, like the fact that you could die and this and that.
- 31:20SPEAKER_08: So it took me a while to like re-regulate my body and and get to a point of like homeostasis, which is so interesting.
- 31:27SPEAKER_08: So those thoughts just came up when you're telling me your stories, which is so interesting.
- 31:31SPEAKER_08: So, how did you how did you come to find Dr.
- 31:33SPEAKER_08: Joe Dispenza after you're doing all this research to find any help?
- 31:38SPEAKER_02: How did I find him?
- 31:40SPEAKER_02: So at this point, I was going to neurologists.
- 31:44SPEAKER_02: I mean, I was in, I was actually like in the medical system, so to speak.
- 31:47SPEAKER_02: I wasn't taking anything, but I was going to these doctors.
- 31:50SPEAKER_02: I didn't go across the country to go to a seven-day brain retraining uh sister uh camp with a functional neurologist, which was great.
- 32:01SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 32:01SPEAKER_02: Um, but at that time, I think I don't know, Joe Dispensa was just popping off at the time.
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: And I feel like I probably saw a video or whatever it was, but I just started reading his books, listening to his podcasts, and just I realized that he healed his body and his spine and his back through his thoughts alone.
- 32:18SPEAKER_02: And so I was like, I've been a year at this healing journey.
- 32:21SPEAKER_02: If they can't heal me, I will heal me with my thoughts.
- 32:24SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 32:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 32:25SPEAKER_02: And so I just started telling myself, like, you did not have this injury, you are not injured, you are fine, and really just like exposing myself.
- 32:34SPEAKER_02: It was exposure therapy that I was doing on my own self.
- 32:37SPEAKER_02: Like, get in the car and drive.
- 32:39SPEAKER_02: If you start to have a panic attack, don't pull over.
- 32:42SPEAKER_02: And like go do all these things that are scaring you.
- 32:45SPEAKER_02: Go follow through with it to create safety with it.
- 32:49SPEAKER_02: And at that time is then when I found Wim Hof.
- 32:53SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
- 32:53SPEAKER_02: And so I was working on my mindset a lot.
- 32:56SPEAKER_02: I was noticing that my body, the soma, was still having these like jolt reactions at times.
- 33:02SPEAKER_02: And so I realized, okay, there's the mindset piece, the psyche piece, but then there's your body, your soma, and your nervous system.
- 33:09SPEAKER_02: So I started doing Wim Hof's work, and that was really what allowed me to kind of attack it from all angles, so to speak.
- 33:17SPEAKER_02: But I owe a lot of my healing to Joe Dispenza for sure.
- 33:21SPEAKER_02: His work changed my life.
- 33:22SPEAKER_08: It's so interesting.
- 33:23SPEAKER_08: You went from the physical sugar, eating, acne, constipation, that's like the third dimension, physical, into the metaphysical and the deeper uh in inside the body, like spiritual growth, which is it's like you went through like two different like spaces.
- 33:43SPEAKER_08: It's so so fascinating.
- 33:45SPEAKER_08: So now, did you go to his actual retreat, or did you just do everything internally, personally, just by his work?
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: Just internally.
- 33:53SPEAKER_02: Wow to get to one of his retreats.
- 33:55SPEAKER_02: Um, but no, just lots of books, lots of podcasts.
- 33:58SPEAKER_08: Let's go.
- 33:59SPEAKER_08: That's lift off right there.
- 34:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 34:02SPEAKER_08: Um, and I want to say that it's possible for anyone who's viewing and listening out there to have the opportunity to heal self, to look in the mirror, to self-reflect.
- 34:11SPEAKER_08: Uh, I think it's so powerful when we do take that time to do that.
- 34:15SPEAKER_08: Um, I actually have uh uh God bless Mike.
- 34:18SPEAKER_08: This is my stepfather uh-in-law.
- 34:20SPEAKER_08: So my mother has Colette.
- 34:21SPEAKER_08: This is his this is her stepmother, and he had brain tumor, and they did surgery and they took the tumor out of his brain.
- 34:29SPEAKER_08: And uh so just last week I was at a real estate conference and I was in San Diego, so I was like, I'll find my wife out, and Colette came to pick up Jordan for the last week of summer and take her to California.
- 34:39SPEAKER_08: Mike had a seizure again a year later, and he wasn't supposed to be having any more seizures because they took out the tumor.
- 34:46SPEAKER_08: And I told him about Dr.
- 34:47SPEAKER_08: Joe Dispenza.
- 34:48SPEAKER_08: I said, Mike, you gotta check out Dr.
- 34:49SPEAKER_08: Joe Dispenza, and he has a lot of retreats um actually in San Diego.
- 34:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, now he does.
- 34:53SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 34:54SPEAKER_08: And I was looking at that for my wife and I to go, more for personal development, um, nothing specifically for any type of like healing per se, but um but what were some action steps?
- 35:06SPEAKER_08: What did you do?
- 35:07SPEAKER_08: What did you watch for anyone who's listening out there?
- 35:09SPEAKER_08: Because I want to make this for someone who's just like, oh, cool, yeah, she could do it, but not me.
- 35:14SPEAKER_08: So, like, what were some things that you did?
- 35:16SPEAKER_08: Was it journaling?
- 35:17SPEAKER_08: Was it counting?
- 35:18SPEAKER_08: Like, was it like a certain book, podcast?
- 35:20SPEAKER_08: Like, what did you do to like start to re um like neurologically reformat the brain and your uh nervous system and your belief system?
- 35:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: So going to the mindset piece first, sticking with Joe Dispenza, the exposure therapy.
- 35:35SPEAKER_02: So he has this concept when you cross the river of change, you have the decision where you can stay the same person or you can change into this new identity, but you have to cross the river of change to get there.
- 35:46SPEAKER_02: And so for me, those action items were okay, well, if the grocery store is triggering, for example, um, it got so bad that I was doing the grocery delivery.
- 35:56SPEAKER_02: Dude, I think back to this.
- 35:58SPEAKER_02: It's like my life felt so small at the time.
- 36:00SPEAKER_02: Um, but it was like, go back to the grocery store.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 36:04SPEAKER_02: Do you really want to have because the woman kept like messing up the delivery and I was like, this is annoying, but if I were to do it myself, I would get the groceries I need.
- 36:11SPEAKER_08: Someone was trying to teach you something.
- 36:13SPEAKER_02: No, seriously.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: And so things like that motivated me to get back into the grocery store, start driving again, but I had to expose myself to the things that made me fearful.
- 36:22SPEAKER_02: And I was actually thinking about it when I was driving over here because I live over in Arcadia, so it's a little drive.
- 36:28SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 36:28SPEAKER_08: Um that 45 hour?
- 36:30SPEAKER_02: It was probably like 40 minutes or so.
- 36:32SPEAKER_02: 40 minutes?
- 36:32SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 36:33SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 36:33SPEAKER_02: Um, and so I was thinking seven years ago, I'd be freaking out.
- 36:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 36:39SPEAKER_02: Driving over here, which is so crazy.
- 36:41SPEAKER_02: And now I just jump in my car and go and not even think about it.
- 36:44SPEAKER_03: Let's go.
- 36:44SPEAKER_02: And so it's exposing yourself to the things that scare you and crossing that river of change and choosing a new identity.
- 36:52SPEAKER_02: And another big piece to choosing the new identity is to stop talking about the pain and stop talking about the things that brought you there.
- 37:01SPEAKER_02: And it's interesting because as I'm in this podcast world sharing my story or sharing it on my podcast, um, I always think to myself, like, do I even want to bring this stuff up?
- 37:11SPEAKER_02: Because I don't want to even recall those things.
- 37:15SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 37:15SPEAKER_02: But I've learned to be able to speak about it in a way that's productive and it's not like adding to the story, but I'm just helping educate on the topic.
- 37:23SPEAKER_02: Um, but I literally did not tell anyone.
- 37:25SPEAKER_02: Some of my closest friends who I met in that era of my life, they did not even know that happened to me.
- 37:31SPEAKER_02: They did not know that when we were out at lunch, I was like struggling to be there.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: I was like fighting the anxiety internally because I was like, don't say it, don't tell anyone like this is not who you are anymore.
- 37:41SPEAKER_02: So letting go of that story and really not talking about it and detaching emotionally from it because that's what keeps you stuck, is the intensity of the emotion attached to the experience itself.
- 37:52SPEAKER_02: So if I can lessen the emotion attached to this, I can let this story go.
- 37:58SPEAKER_02: So that's really how Joe Dispenses' work um shifted my mindset out of that.
- 38:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, even as we talk about this now, I try to recall the memories and I'm like, I think I forgot it so much that it's hard for me to recall some of the things that feels like so long ago.
- 38:12SPEAKER_08: Yeah, because you you're you're now in your new knowing.
- 38:14SPEAKER_08: You're in your new, this isn't who you know you were then, you're this now.
- 38:19SPEAKER_08: And it's also great too, because the the past traumas l led you to become who you are today to serve those who you once were.
- 38:27SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 38:27SPEAKER_08: And so when you get to a place where you're like, okay, I'm gonna talk about these things, these are things that are tools that you can now leverage to be able to serve someone else out there and then reflect.
- 38:38SPEAKER_08: And I like to look at everything positively.
- 38:40SPEAKER_08: So it's just like a positive thing, like, yes, I can reflect, yes, I'm freaking amazing, and I can share this story and I can help people, and you never know who's out there right now listening to this going through the exact thing that you were talking about right now on this show that might send you a DM on your Instagram, links are down below, and be like, oh my god, Casey, thank you so much.
- 38:59SPEAKER_08: This is amazing.
- 39:00SPEAKER_08: And that's why we have this platform because I feel like there needs to be more personal development opportunities.
- 39:05SPEAKER_08: Um, you know, with our company, we do the money motivation, the prayer of the week.
- 39:09SPEAKER_08: I do a 30-minute coaching session with every single team member, everyone's on the same page.
- 39:12SPEAKER_08: Cohesively, we have like a unit, it's one, it's like an organism of a body, but within a system, which is a corporation.
- 39:19SPEAKER_08: Uh, I'm pointing over here because you none of y'all can see it.
- 39:22SPEAKER_08: Lifted off agents out of the wall.
- 39:24SPEAKER_08: Um, and it makes this such a big difference.
- 39:27SPEAKER_08: And so uh I commend you for coming here and and doing this.
- 39:31SPEAKER_08: And to be honest with you, you know, shout out to Jet.
- 39:34SPEAKER_08: Jet's the one who reached out to you, and I was like, all right, I need to find compelling stories, amazing people, because I wear so many hats and so much going on, and then that's how we connected.
- 39:44SPEAKER_08: We've never met each other ever.
- 39:46SPEAKER_08: First time.
- 39:46SPEAKER_08: It's our first time.
- 39:47SPEAKER_08: God, she's opening up and everything.
- 39:49SPEAKER_08: Thank you.
- 39:50SPEAKER_08: Um, and so so yeah, so it's beautiful because I think that so many people they say things and they don't even think about it.
- 39:57SPEAKER_08: Like I was talking to one agent and um and she was just straight telling me it just it just doesn't work.
- 40:02SPEAKER_08: You're correct.
- 40:03SPEAKER_08: It doesn't work.
- 40:04SPEAKER_08: But you did invest into a website for it to work, and you are talking to me, and I want to support you, want to help you, because I want it to work for you, because this is the outcome of all of these other individuals you work with.
- 40:17SPEAKER_08: So think about what you're saying and what you are you really committed to because I think so many people are just like autopilot.
- 40:22SPEAKER_08: They don't even they don't even think about it.
- 40:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean that's the problem.
- 40:25SPEAKER_02: Once you become conscious, I remember I was at this um, what is it called?
- 40:29SPEAKER_02: Like a fundraising event, and they had this keynote speaker, and this woman, it stuck with me.
- 40:33SPEAKER_02: She said, once you become aware, you can never become unaware.
- 40:38SPEAKER_02: And it was a foundation or fundraiser for um under underprivileged children.
- 40:44SPEAKER_02: And so she was like, Now that you know all of this, yeah, you don't have to donate today, you don't have to do anything.
- 40:49SPEAKER_02: But now that you know this exists out there, yes, you know, and you can't unsee it.
- 40:55SPEAKER_02: And so that always stuck with me.
- 40:56SPEAKER_02: So whenever I learn something or someone like adds a little nugget, and I'm like, ooh, okay, now I know I can't just ignore that.
- 41:03SPEAKER_02: And if I do ignore it, I'm consciously ignoring it.
- 41:06SPEAKER_02: I'm not defaulting just to letting it go.
- 41:08SPEAKER_08: Correct.
- 41:09SPEAKER_08: You know, yeah, and so many people would do that, whether you're smoking weed or drinking alcohol or playing video games.
- 41:14SPEAKER_08: Uh, and then a lot of people always doing content around just being distracted.
- 41:19SPEAKER_08: So many people are just distracting themselves.
- 41:21SPEAKER_08: Yeah, it's one distraction off the next distraction, off the next distraction, until head injury, until car accident, until life-altering altercation that makes you think, wow, hold up.
- 41:36SPEAKER_08: Why am I here?
- 41:37SPEAKER_08: What's going on?
- 41:38SPEAKER_08: Why am I distracting myself?
- 41:39SPEAKER_08: Like, am I am I wasting the time that I'm here, or am I here to make a difference in the world, to leave the world a little bit better than the way that I found it?
- 41:47SPEAKER_08: So things to ask yourselves out there.
- 41:50SPEAKER_08: So this is crazy.
- 41:51SPEAKER_08: So, okay, deja vu almost.
- 41:54SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 41:54SPEAKER_08: So we go from the first story and we self-reflect, and you took the time, six months, acne cleared.
- 42:00SPEAKER_08: Six months, you're feeling on track, you no more medication, you're doing amazing.
- 42:04SPEAKER_08: How long?
- 42:06SPEAKER_08: Head injury, Joe Dispensa, all the things it took to rewire your brain, how long did that take?
- 42:13SPEAKER_02: That I mean.
- 42:16SPEAKER_08: If you can even pinpoint a time frame.
- 42:18SPEAKER_02: Gosh.
- 42:20SPEAKER_02: Probably, okay, so when I was really spiraling with the head injury in the medical system, like going to appointments, that was probably a year long.
- 42:27SPEAKER_02: And then I found him, and it was probably like another nine-ish months, I would say.
- 42:34SPEAKER_02: Because I remember when I flew out across the country to go to the brain training rehabilitation center.
- 42:41SPEAKER_02: Um, that was after that year mark.
- 42:43SPEAKER_02: And I was telling myself stories like, how are you gonna fly out there by yourself?
- 42:47SPEAKER_02: You have to get a rental car by yourself, you have to drive to this place and do this all on your own.
- 42:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 42:52SPEAKER_02: Do you even have the mental capacity to do this?
- 42:55SPEAKER_02: And I told myself, I was like in the Joe Dispenza world.
- 42:58SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, absolutely, I'm gonna prove to myself that I can do this, even if it's hard, even if I'm tired, even if I get dizzy, even if I get scared, like I'm gonna do this.
- 43:07SPEAKER_06: I love that.
- 43:08SPEAKER_02: And I think that was around like the nine-month mark or so.
- 43:11SPEAKER_02: And it was moments like that where I would throw myself into these situations that I pri like previous Casey felt like were impossible.
- 43:20SPEAKER_02: And it's so interesting when I share that because the everyday person who hasn't experienced this, it's like, duh, you just get on a plane and go.
- 43:26SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 43:26SPEAKER_02: But when someone's really in it with an injury and like living so much in fear, it's a big deal.
- 43:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the grocery store and doing these things.
- 43:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 43:34SPEAKER_02: And so it was probably like nine months where it really started to like I started to notice, oh, I'm stepping into this new version of myself, and it's not so conscious anymore.
- 43:45SPEAKER_08: Yes.
- 43:45SPEAKER_02: Like a conscious effort.
- 43:46SPEAKER_02: I'm like, okay, I'm just kind of doing and being more in it.
- 43:49SPEAKER_08: I love that.
- 43:50SPEAKER_08: I love that.
- 43:50SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 43:51SPEAKER_08: A year and nine months to get to a point where you're like, Yeah, all right, feeling good.
- 43:56SPEAKER_08: So going through that process now, Wim Hof, you're starting doing The breathing and then what got you to then transition careers?
- 44:04SPEAKER_08: Because now we're gonna get into the breath work and and what you facilitate.
- 44:08SPEAKER_08: How did you even come upon you know that type of work when it comes to the breath work you're doing now?
- 44:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:14SPEAKER_02: So when I was still like healing myself with the Joe Dispenza work, I found Wim Hof and I started to become obsessed with breath work.
- 44:22SPEAKER_02: I did his 10-minute YouTube video.
- 44:24SPEAKER_02: It has like billions of views now.
- 44:25SPEAKER_02: I'm like a million of those are probably mine because that's how that's how much I do it.
- 44:29SPEAKER_02: And um, it was a few years into that I was just really noticing that that was a thing that really coupled with the Joe Dispenza work.
- 44:38SPEAKER_02: Like I got the mental piece, but I was still kind of feeling anxious and still having those somatic physiological responses that we get that the mind can't really control.
- 44:47SPEAKER_02: It's like the body sensing fear, so it just starts like showing red flags.
- 44:51SPEAKER_02: And so the breath work really helped me connect with my body and those sensations.
- 44:55SPEAKER_02: And so a few years into just loving breath work as a participant, yeah.
- 45:00SPEAKER_02: Um, I got fired from my job.
- 45:02SPEAKER_08: And so really from working with your family?
- 45:05unknown: Yeah.
- 45:05SPEAKER_08: What?
- 45:05SPEAKER_08: How do you get fired from working with your family?
- 45:07SPEAKER_01: Dude, that's a story for another day.
- 45:10SPEAKER_01: But there was some uh there was some turbulence that happened and we decided to go our separate way.
- 45:17SPEAKER_08: Well, you know, it makes sense too, because right, you're your new version of yourself.
- 45:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 45:22SPEAKER_08: You're not just gonna be like making everyone happy anymore.
- 45:25SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 45:25SPEAKER_08: So whether that's calling people out or saying how you feel, so I can imagine.
- 45:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and that's you know, it's interesting because that's that's why people get scared of doing the work.
- 45:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 45:37SPEAKER_02: Because things start to change in your life and not everyone's on board with how you're handling things.
- 45:42SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 45:42SPEAKER_02: And sometimes when we're in this process of speaking our needs or even realizing we have needs or not being okay with certain things, and this is from all lens, like me, them, everyone.
- 45:51SPEAKER_02: We don't know, like we've never had that dynamic.
- 45:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 45:54SPEAKER_02: And there it can cause friction.
- 45:56SPEAKER_02: And it's okay, how do we work through the friction or do we not work through the friction?
- 45:59SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 46:00SPEAKER_02: And so that's what happened.
- 46:01SPEAKER_02: I got fired, and you're all, dude, what?
- 46:05SPEAKER_08: It's all good.
- 46:06SPEAKER_02: And um, and um I remember just thinking, like, okay, I'm not in a place where I'm freaking out over this, like job-wise.
- 46:15SPEAKER_02: Like everything's fine.
- 46:16SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm I'm in this huge shift in life.
- 46:19SPEAKER_02: What do I actually want to do with my time?
- 46:23SPEAKER_02: And so at that moment, I got connected with my podcast host.
- 46:27SPEAKER_02: Actually, I didn't know her.
- 46:28SPEAKER_02: Let's go.
- 46:28SPEAKER_02: But um, we got connected on Instagram and she was working for, she used to work for Tony Robbins.
- 46:33SPEAKER_02: Oh, nice.
- 46:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 46:34SPEAKER_02: So her and some of the coaches from his team went off and made their own coaching company.
- 46:38SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 46:39SPEAKER_02: And so they hired me to help with like operations and things like that.
- 46:44SPEAKER_02: So after I left the firm, I got connected with them, and that was like a personal development college on steroids.
- 46:52SPEAKER_02: I can only imagine.
- 46:53SPEAKER_02: Dude, it was crazy the level of standard and excellence.
- 46:58SPEAKER_02: And I carry myself to a very high standard.
- 47:01SPEAKER_02: But again, I was never outside of my four-wall bubble professionally.
- 47:05SPEAKER_02: And I was like, whoa, there's another world out here of professionalism and excellence.
- 47:11SPEAKER_02: And so I worked with them for a year, and um, we all just kind of like left at the same time a year later.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: And then that's when I found the practitioner training.
- 47:21SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 47:21SPEAKER_02: I was like, I'm gonna go get certified in breath work.
- 47:23SPEAKER_02: I love it, it's changed my life.
- 47:25SPEAKER_02: I had this newfound sense of certainty from working with these coaches.
- 47:28SPEAKER_02: Like, I am not the same Casey anymore.
- 47:30SPEAKER_04: Oh, let's go.
- 47:31SPEAKER_02: And I literally was like, I can do everything anything that I want.
- 47:34SPEAKER_02: Like, that's how much confidence I felt.
- 47:36SPEAKER_02: I was feeling better.
- 47:37SPEAKER_02: All the things just started to align.
- 47:39SPEAKER_02: So I went and did the practitioner training.
- 47:42SPEAKER_02: And after that, my whole life personally and professionally changed after I started facilitating breath work.
- 47:49SPEAKER_08: Dude, that is absolutely amazing.
- 47:51SPEAKER_08: Congratulations.
- 47:52SPEAKER_08: I absolutely love that.
- 47:53SPEAKER_08: And I want to put some cliff notes really quick on something that you said, uh, tying back into getting fired.
- 47:59SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 48:00SPEAKER_08: Because I think it's very important for individuals, usually listeners to understand that like when you go through this process, the reason why, just to give context and not reason why from the perspective of the story why you got fired, the reason why she got fired is because you were doing internal work to become the future version of yourself.
- 48:19SPEAKER_08: And if those around you aren't in the same frequency, we're gonna go a little bit, feels uh a little bit deeper here on metaphysical, the frequency has shifted.
- 48:27SPEAKER_08: If the frequency has interference and the frequency can't align, if the frequency can't align, then you will go into a different direction, whether it's a partner, a friend, a job, or what have you.
- 48:36SPEAKER_08: So it was interference of frequency, and that's why she got fired.
- 48:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 48:39SPEAKER_08: Beyond the story, because the story doesn't matter, it's it's it's it's words that we think that equal things, but words are how we communicate in this existence.
- 48:47SPEAKER_08: But frequency is really all it is.
- 48:49SPEAKER_08: Yeah, it doesn't matter what hurts or whatever it is on a on a deeper consciousness level, outside of a physical plane of existence, things are more on that plane of frequency.
- 48:59SPEAKER_08: And so just letting everyone know, if you go down this path, whether you reach out to Casey or doing breath work or ayahuasca plant medicine, you you might not be around the same people.
- 49:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and that's tough.
- 49:12SPEAKER_08: It's very tough.
- 49:13SPEAKER_02: It's it's a tricky yeah, and that's what I said.
- 49:16SPEAKER_02: People, that's why they avoid the work because they don't want things to change.
- 49:18SPEAKER_02: They want it to change, but they don't want what comes with the change.
- 49:21SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 49:22SPEAKER_02: Losing people, losing jobs, relationships, all those things because it's painful.
- 49:26SPEAKER_08: Yes, and I'm gonna go a little bit deeper, and this is gonna hurt.
- 49:28SPEAKER_08: And I'm sorry, I just have to say it.
- 49:30SPEAKER_08: If you don't change and you don't evolve, you die.
- 49:34SPEAKER_08: And you cannot be in this world, in this existence, and this in this experience, if you're not.
- 49:41SPEAKER_08: I believe we all have contracts, and we have contracts that we've already agreed to to do things within this time and space that we're supposed to do.
- 49:48SPEAKER_08: And if you don't follow your contract or you're not true to yourself, then that's when your issues come up, issues are in the tissues, and then disease, and then unfortunately death, because you're not either following your contract or that was in your contract, and you're not doing what needs to happen.
- 50:06SPEAKER_08: And it's it's it's the tough truth, but I just feel like so many people like, and that's why there's this platform, and if you're watching this is for a reason, um, that they just they just don't see that, they don't understand.
- 50:17SPEAKER_08: So I want to hopefully just give some tools to people out there to think about some things before they go down this path.
- 50:22SPEAKER_08: They're like, oh my god, I just broke up with my girlfriend, my boyfriend, like hold it, hold my friends, what's happening with all the stuff around me?
- 50:28SPEAKER_08: Like it's gonna happen.
- 50:29SPEAKER_08: Like I can imagine you have all new, probably inner circle of friends compared to that time, right?
- 50:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, I do have a couple of my you know closest friends from growing up together, childhood, but yeah, for the most part, completely new friend group.
- 50:42SPEAKER_02: And what I love about the new friend group, I always say they have never seen me drunk because I stopped drinking in the midst of all this.
- 50:50SPEAKER_02: Let's go.
- 50:50SPEAKER_08: Congratulations.
- 50:52SPEAKER_02: Like, you guys have never seen like drunk Casey, like you don't even know who that person is.
- 50:57SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 50:57SPEAKER_02: Something that I'm really proud of.
- 50:58SPEAKER_02: And honestly, I haven't seen a lot of them drunk either because they don't drink either.
- 51:02SPEAKER_02: It's like that's just not something I choose to involve myself in anymore.
- 51:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, me too.
- 51:07SPEAKER_02: I always reflect on that because the previous friends, it's like that's all we were doing.
- 51:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 51:11SPEAKER_02: You know?
- 51:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 51:12SPEAKER_02: And so, yeah, totally new circle of friends.
- 51:14SPEAKER_08: Starbucks and cocktails.
- 51:16SPEAKER_01: No, literally.
- 51:16SPEAKER_08: Right?
- 51:17SPEAKER_08: Like sodas.
- 51:18SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 51:18SPEAKER_08: I mean, and that's where you're starting to see um there's all types of like different types of drinks now, whether it's like the mushroom drinks and silbocybin and just different things.
- 51:27SPEAKER_08: Like my wife's into the tea.
- 51:29SPEAKER_08: So I'm excited to see like new lounges coming up.
- 51:32SPEAKER_08: There's a lot that people can go to co-corate and just vibe out and chill.
- 51:36SPEAKER_08: Um, a buddy of mine owns uh a number of like kava bars, which kava kratom is a little, it's it's it's a little controversial right now.
- 51:43SPEAKER_01: The feel freeze.
- 51:45SPEAKER_08: Yes, it's on the spectrum of close to alcohol, and you do have to be careful because it is kind of harsh on the system.
- 51:50SPEAKER_08: Yeah, it is considered maybe a plant medicine, if you wish.
- 51:54SPEAKER_08: Um, but yeah.
- 51:56SPEAKER_02: Feel freeze.
- 51:56SPEAKER_08: People are.
- 51:57SPEAKER_08: I have.
- 51:58SPEAKER_02: Like, it's getting bad out there.
- 52:00SPEAKER_08: Yes, yes.
- 52:01SPEAKER_08: You know who I saw with the feel-free?
- 52:04SPEAKER_08: Howie Mandel.
- 52:05SPEAKER_01: Who's that?
- 52:06SPEAKER_08: Howie Mandel is on American Got Talent.
- 52:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 52:08SPEAKER_08: He's one of the judges, and he's a comedian from way back when.
- 52:11SPEAKER_08: And um, and so I saw he was uh his podcast, I saw him holding one.
- 52:16SPEAKER_08: I'm like, oh my god.
- 52:16SPEAKER_08: And then my buddy Michael, Michael, uh, he was on our on our show here, lives off experience.
- 52:21SPEAKER_08: He owns Optimize.
- 52:22SPEAKER_08: Have you heard of Optimize?
- 52:23SPEAKER_01: He was just on my podcast Wednesday.
- 52:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I love Michael.
- 52:25SPEAKER_08: So I've known Michael for many years, and uh, I was with him for the very first grand opening, uh, second grand opening in Tempe.
- 52:33SPEAKER_08: Uh my my wife was his ex-girlfriend's best friend.
- 52:36SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 52:37SPEAKER_08: Uh, Poonum.
- 52:38SPEAKER_08: And so, so yeah, so he's been here, he's been on the podcast.
- 52:41SPEAKER_08: I was supposed to go to his last event, uh, Jungle Rhythms.
- 52:44SPEAKER_08: Yep, yep, yep.
- 52:45SPEAKER_08: He just had it over the weekend.
- 52:47SPEAKER_08: Um, and he's like, it's not the same without uh without Mr.
- 52:50SPEAKER_08: Liftoff, and you know, I was like, I'll be there, Mike.
- 52:52SPEAKER_08: I promise.
- 52:53SPEAKER_08: I told him I wanted to do this live at his thing.
- 52:56SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 52:56SPEAKER_08: I said also, I said, I can run around.
- 52:58SPEAKER_08: I'm usually the crazy guy with the frickin' microphone interviewing people and running around and talking to everyone and stuff like that.
- 53:04SPEAKER_08: So I said, hey, let me know.
- 53:05SPEAKER_08: But budget, that's a whole different conversation.
- 53:07SPEAKER_08: Small world.
- 53:08SPEAKER_08: Um but yeah, definitely.
- 53:10SPEAKER_08: He introduced me to the Phil Free.
- 53:11SPEAKER_08: And I was, I remember I went to one of his facilities.
- 53:15SPEAKER_08: I did his modality and I had one of those.
- 53:17SPEAKER_08: I was like, oh, wow.
- 53:19SPEAKER_08: But you know, it ties back into you gotta, you know, you gotta be, you know, gotta think about self, you gotta be mindful, and you gotta self-reflect.
- 53:27SPEAKER_08: And I think everything in like like okay, let's ask you a question.
- 53:31SPEAKER_08: So, sugar, do you ever have it?
- 53:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I do.
- 53:34SPEAKER_02: You do?
- 53:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I'm not drinking like Starbucks Frappuccinos anymore.
- 53:38SPEAKER_02: But no, I'm like, you know, if I want to go out and have ice cream, like I will, but it's definitely not something I keep in the house.
- 53:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 53:44SPEAKER_02: But if I want it, I have it.
- 53:45SPEAKER_02: I've been through the phase.
- 53:47SPEAKER_02: I'm sure you've all have been through this, where you're like so spiritual and you're not doing anything or eating anything bad, and you're like, the pendulum has swung so far in that level of control.
- 53:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 53:57SPEAKER_02: Where now it's like, well, now I'm not enjoying life, and like this kind of sucks.
- 54:00SPEAKER_02: So let me find a happy medium.
- 54:02SPEAKER_08: Yes.
- 54:03SPEAKER_02: That's where I'm at now.
- 54:04SPEAKER_08: I think it's very important, and congratulations, because you know, there is that pendulum.
- 54:08SPEAKER_08: And sometimes I do go deeper into the modalities and deeper to the spiritual side, and then you gotta be like, okay, over over here, come back to the reality side, the third dimension.
- 54:15SPEAKER_08: You are in a body, like, let's, you know, enjoy the space.
- 54:18SPEAKER_08: And so there's some cool things I feel like this reality does have to offer, and we have to enjoy those things.
- 54:24SPEAKER_02: So much.
- 54:24SPEAKER_02: Like, even for a long time when I quit drinking, I think it's been six years now.
- 54:28SPEAKER_02: Um, for a couple of years, like I didn't even want to be around people who drank.
- 54:32SPEAKER_02: Like, I didn't want to go to the bar, I didn't want to go to the concert or whatever it was because I would literally get annoyed and be judgy.
- 54:40SPEAKER_08: I was like, you all suck.
- 54:42SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm the best one here, right?
- 54:44unknown: I'm just being honest.
- 54:45SPEAKER_08: You have no idea what you're missing out on.
- 54:47SPEAKER_02: And we all have that phase.
- 54:48SPEAKER_02: If you've gone sober, like I'm the better than you phase.
- 54:50SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 54:51SPEAKER_02: And then I realized, I'm like, you're not better than anyone.
- 54:54SPEAKER_02: This is a societal norm.
- 54:55SPEAKER_02: And actually, you have an issue if you can't be around them.
- 54:58SPEAKER_02: They can be around you.
- 54:59SPEAKER_08: Correct.
- 55:00SPEAKER_02: So go integrate back into society.
- 55:02SPEAKER_02: Let's go.
- 55:03SPEAKER_02: And go live this life.
- 55:05SPEAKER_02: You don't have to be doing it all the time.
- 55:07SPEAKER_02: But if your friends are there, you like that's the true version of healing, is when you can integrate back into life and not be judgy and be regulated and happy in the midst of it.
- 55:18SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 55:19SPEAKER_02: And so that's been my journey with that.
- 55:21SPEAKER_02: So um, yeah, now I'm like, I I don't prefer to be in those environments, but I'm not isolating myself and judging everyone who's in them anymore.
- 55:30SPEAKER_08: My wife is just like that as well.
- 55:31SPEAKER_08: She does not want to be around a lot of people that are drinking and what have you, and she likes to stay away from it and mean because past relationship and husband and whole deeper story there.
- 55:41SPEAKER_08: Um, and then last week we were at Immin Connect and real estate conference, and they had open bar and DJ and this and that.
- 55:48SPEAKER_08: So, you know, I ended up having like one.
- 55:50SPEAKER_08: So I was like, you know, I'll have one.
- 55:51SPEAKER_08: And then the wife said, No, I don't want anything.
- 55:53SPEAKER_08: I was like okay, that's totally fine.
- 55:54SPEAKER_08: But I feel like for me, I like I a little something every so often.
- 55:58SPEAKER_08: Nothing like, you know, crazy, but just one.
- 56:01SPEAKER_08: So that's what I did.
- 56:02SPEAKER_08: Um, same thing with like weed.
- 56:03SPEAKER_08: Like I used to be a stoner in my 20s.
- 56:05SPEAKER_08: I gave it all up.
- 56:06SPEAKER_08: And then now it's like, okay, I take like a gummy here or there.
- 56:09SPEAKER_08: It's not something that I do much.
- 56:11SPEAKER_08: Um, and also it's weird too, because my body like doesn't really like I'll wake up the next day, I'm like, am I hungover?
- 56:16SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 56:17SPEAKER_08: And I barely even took anything.
- 56:19SPEAKER_08: It's like a like 2.5 milligram, like nothing.
- 56:21SPEAKER_02: Those are the perfect dose, though.
- 56:23SPEAKER_02: 2.5.
- 56:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, especially before bed.
- 56:27SPEAKER_08: Yes, yes.
- 56:28SPEAKER_08: You sleep really good, yeah.
- 56:30SPEAKER_08: It's chill, uh, you know, and C B D.
- 56:32SPEAKER_08: So, you know, just keeping it real, y'all.
- 56:34SPEAKER_08: Um, but yeah, I think it's just a happy medium, find the balance.
- 56:37SPEAKER_08: Um, I I love cars, so that's my thing.
- 56:39SPEAKER_08: So it's like I love cars, I love the car shows, I love that.
- 56:41SPEAKER_08: And I think it's cool because like if you can be around those people because of your vibe and your frequency, you're gonna innately help them raise their vibe and they won't even know it.
- 56:51SPEAKER_08: And like my sister-in-law just came because after Mike had the uh seizure, then Jordan was there, and she's like, Well man, am I gonna fly out and fly right back?
- 57:00SPEAKER_08: I don't know if I want to have a seven-year-old be on the airplane by herself.
- 57:03SPEAKER_08: So then she calls Melissa's sister, Dre, and said, Hey, do you want to come?
- 57:07SPEAKER_08: She's a hairstylist, she's a big drinker, she's an awesome person, all the things.
- 57:10SPEAKER_08: But uh, she ended up coming.
- 57:12SPEAKER_08: And then she ended up going to Costco with my wife because once a month we go to Costco, and she got this big old bottle of vodka, and then the brother came over and they're like, Yeah, I want to have a mimosa.
- 57:21SPEAKER_08: And I'm like, I just got to know the gym.
- 57:22SPEAKER_08: I do not want a mimosa, but thank you so much.
- 57:24SPEAKER_08: I appreciate you, Josh.
- 57:25SPEAKER_08: And um, you know, and then she was drinking a little bit, which is two inches your own, totally fine.
- 57:29SPEAKER_08: But it's interesting because my daughter said a couple things and kind of got her thinking about a couple things, and she was just like, Daddy, I think I have a really deeper connection with you.
- 57:37SPEAKER_08: Like, she's seven.
- 57:37SPEAKER_08: She's like, Yeah, I think we've already like shared past lives together before.
- 57:40SPEAKER_08: And she's like saying this out loud with like my my sister-in-law, and she is like, so not that's not her thing.
- 57:46SPEAKER_08: She's like, No, no, no, no.
- 57:47SPEAKER_08: Like, it's it's very much by the book, religion-wise.
- 57:50SPEAKER_08: Um, so yeah, God bless.
- 57:52SPEAKER_08: Two each is your own, whatever.
- 57:53SPEAKER_08: But that's why I think that like this we're holding space for people that maybe don't even understand this type of concepts to be able to, like, oh, this is an interesting world.
- 58:02SPEAKER_02: Or people who are watching stuff like this, or even like you said, when you're out and about, just by you being who you are, you naturally draw in those people.
- 58:09SPEAKER_02: Because what I learned in this sobriety journey is that more people than you think don't want to drink.
- 58:17SPEAKER_02: They just feel like they have to.
- 58:19SPEAKER_02: So people will come talk to me when I'm out at these like networking places and they're like, hey, and they just like kind of gravitate towards me.
- 58:27SPEAKER_02: You don't drink.
- 58:27SPEAKER_02: Like, oh, like I don't want to either.
- 58:29SPEAKER_02: Like, someone just needs to give them permission to do that.
- 58:32SPEAKER_02: But it's tough when you're first starting off because you feel like you have to.
- 58:35SPEAKER_02: So I get it.
- 58:37SPEAKER_02: But no, a lot of people really I I and I even hear it in conversations too, like with people who I know, they they want to quit, but they just don't have that permission slip to do so.
- 58:47SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 58:48SPEAKER_02: And I love that you mentioned your daughter because it was actually my niece and nephew who were reflected to me why I wanted to stop drinking.
- 58:55SPEAKER_02: We like had this crazy um Christmas Eve party every year.
- 58:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 59:00SPEAKER_02: And Aunt Casey got f toasted and it was not pretty.
- 59:03SPEAKER_02: And I remember um waking up the next day and it was Christmas.
- 59:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 59:08SPEAKER_02: And I, you know, when you have that awful fog, you're just like, you're you're still drunk.
- 59:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 59:13SPEAKER_02: You're still drunk, and these precious kids in front of you are wanting to celebrate and open their gifts.
- 59:17SPEAKER_08: I feel like shit.
- 59:18SPEAKER_02: And yeah, you feel awful, and then they're telling you about things from the night before, and you don't remember.
- 59:23SPEAKER_02: Uh, dude, that was like so heartbreaking painful to me.
- 59:28SPEAKER_02: Uh I was like, I never want my niece and nephew to this be their aunt that they talk about.
- 59:34SPEAKER_08: Correct.
- 59:35SPEAKER_02: You know, and so that was like the end of the drinking day.
- 59:38SPEAKER_08: Good for you.
- 59:39SPEAKER_08: That's awesome.
- 59:39SPEAKER_08: I love it.
- 59:40SPEAKER_08: Yeah, I never really personally got uh, I was always the DD, I was always the responsible one for everyone.
- 59:47SPEAKER_08: I was always like the the the good reason person.
- 59:49SPEAKER_08: I was always like, people would gravitate during high school and like I'd have my own little crew, but I would be cool with everyone.
- 59:55SPEAKER_08: So I never found myself getting to that point like that I couldn't control myself because I always felt like I couldn't, I was like, I was not that I always have to be in control, but I didn't like the thought of like not being in control at that level when it comes to like alcohol.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_08: Um, and I would always be the one driving too, so it didn't make any sense.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_08: Um, so now let's get back into the story for your new career.
- 1:00:16SPEAKER_08: So now you found now, did you get certified first?
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_08: Like, how did you know like this is gonna be like what you're gonna do?
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so when I found the certification, it was the right after I left that uh job with the Tony Robbins coaches, and so that was a year long.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_02: And then right after that, I remember I was sitting at my desk and I was okay, well, what am I gonna do now?
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_02: I just had this really great experience.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_02: I'm feeling on top of the world.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_02: I had so much confidence and certainty.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_02: And I always had an entrepreneurial spirit.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_02: I mean, I grew up as the family of entrepreneurs, everyone in my family was, and I've just always had that in me and the ability to execute on things really well, but I just never allowed myself to fully go into anything besides like my Instagram page that I was building and things like that.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_02: So I was like, okay, well, this next job that I do, it's gonna look very different.
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_02: It's either gonna be again in the personal development space with somebody else, or let me go get let me go get certified in this and um just check it out for my own personal healing.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_02: Again, I went to go just learn more about the somatic world.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_02: So I didn't really know what I was gonna do yet, but I went to the training and I remember it was a four-day training, and I had the most profound breath work session up until that date in that training.
- 1:01:36SPEAKER_02: And I really felt the potency of what this work can do.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_02: It was digging up memories, it was, I mean, talk about cathartic emotional release.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_02: It was the most intense feeling I had ever felt, an intense experience.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_02: And from there, I was like, okay, I'm even more bought into breath work because I had the beautiful experiences with Wim Hof, but I had never really gone on a full journey like that, which is very different, psychedelic, very, very deep.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_02: And so from that point, I was like, okay, I love this, I really love it.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_02: Let me just facilitate a session and see how I like it.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_02: I'm always looking to try things out without any type of commitment.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_02: And so I facilitated a group session, and literally, like within a few weeks of getting certified, and I just became addicted to hosting these sessions.
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_02: That's amazing.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_08: Yeah, you're talking about a lift-off moment, and like that's when you can really feel like aligned from the perspective of your passions and your purpose when they come together.
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_08: Yes, which is so beautiful.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_08: It's like you're not working, you're just having fun.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_08: This is amazing.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_08: And that's where I'm right there with you because the brit Wim Hof is great for I think more like of just kind of like down regulation, nervous system, great way to start the day, stuff like that.
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_08: I also like if I'm like higher altitude and and things like that.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_08: And then there's other ones that like you could literally go deeper into, like, I mean, like you said, have like a spiritual awakening, you could be purging, all this type of stuff.
- 1:03:08SPEAKER_08: It's pretty intense.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_08: Would you say that going to the Wim Hof was a good beginner stage to getting into what you're doing now?
- 1:03:17SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_02: However, there's a lot of people who come to my sessions and they've never done any breath work before.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_02: And it's equally as profound, it's equally as amazing.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_02: Do I think that everyone should start with like a Wim Hof and titrait?
- 1:03:31SPEAKER_02: I think that's a personal experience.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_05: There you go.
- 1:03:34SPEAKER_02: But I do think that even with me feeling comfortable with those physical sensations from the injury, it was a good stepping stone for me.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_02: I was like, because you're gonna get dizzy, like you said, and all these things, and I was still like borderline scared of those sensations.
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_02: So I was like feeling comfortable with it, and then when I started diving into the deep sessions, I was like felt very comfortable in that.
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_08: I love that.
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_08: So then, so you were facilitating after you got your certification in the breath work, and then how did you even find the company that you're associated with?
- 1:04:04SPEAKER_08: What's the company?
- 1:04:05SPEAKER_08: Give us some more context as far as all that.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so currently, so I got certified with a company called uh Soma IQ.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you're familiar.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_02: Do you know who Steven Jaggers is?
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_08: I do not.
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_08: I seen the company.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_08: I went through Instagram, I went to their Instagram, I seen that they've trained like 3,000 plus people.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_02: So he's from Phoenix, that's why I asked.
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, really?
- 1:04:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he lives in Colorado now.
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_02: But I trained through him and then I started just facilitating on my own and building my own breathwork business.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_02: Then I started getting uh connected with them even further and start I became a teacher trainer for them.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_02: So now I'm teaching practitioners as well through them.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_08: That's so cool.
- 1:04:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and it happened really, really rapidly.
- 1:04:44SPEAKER_02: But one thing I always like want to share with the listener because it's important is have your own thing as well when you find it.
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_02: Because, like you said, when your passions meet your purpose, but also when it meets your skill set.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_02: Because I had all of these skills I had accumulated through all the years.
- 1:05:02SPEAKER_02: And when I could apply the skills with the passion and the purpose, I think that's when you find a business that's sustainable for yourself.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_08: Liftoff, let's go.
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_08: Yeah, this is why we co-create.
- 1:05:13SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_08: I love that.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_02: So I started hosting my own breathwork sessions, building that up, and then about man, it was quickly after that.
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_02: They called me up and were like, hey, like, do you want to come uh help at our in-person trainings?
- 1:05:26SPEAKER_02: Hey, do you want to start teaching this?
- 1:05:28SPEAKER_02: And now I've been doing that with them for a few years now as well.
- 1:05:31SPEAKER_02: So I'm really in this mentorship role of uh helping develop new and aspiring practitioners.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_08: Dude, that's so cool.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_08: It's one thing to like build a business, it's another thing to teach others to facilitate as you are as well.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_08: Um when you went through the original.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_08: So now before you became a practitioner, did you go through the it was so was it a ceremony?
- 1:05:53SPEAKER_08: Was it an event that you went to?
- 1:05:54SPEAKER_08: How did you even stumble upon like this somatic breath work first?
- 1:05:58SPEAKER_02: Oh, yes, yes.
- 1:05:59SPEAKER_02: Okay, so When I was sitting at my desk, I totally skipped this now.
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_02: You're good, you're good.
- 1:06:03SPEAKER_02: But I was sitting at my desk thinking, what am I gonna do?
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_02: I saw Steven post something, and it was someone having a huge emotional release.
- 1:06:11SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_02: Um, I think he was doing some body work on them.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_02: And then he was like, Hey, I have a training down the road in Scottsdale three weeks from the post.
- 1:06:20SPEAKER_02: And I was like, I'm going, sign up, boom, go.
- 1:06:23SPEAKER_02: It was one of those divine interventions, you know, when it's not you doing it, like it's God in source directing your decision.
- 1:06:30SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 1:06:30SPEAKER_02: That's exactly what it was.
- 1:06:32SPEAKER_02: Because I'm not one to go sign up for courses and stuff.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_02: I'm like not a course collector like that.
- 1:06:35SPEAKER_04: Oh my God.
- 1:06:36SPEAKER_02: So the fact that I was like, I'm gonna go do this.
- 1:06:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's what got me into it.
- 1:06:41SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 1:06:41SPEAKER_08: And you see all the things that Casey had to do to get to that point to even take the leap of faith to do that.
- 1:06:47SPEAKER_08: And that's where I feel like when I go back to the contract, right?
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_08: Like that must have been a contract that you had and what you were here put on this earth to do.
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_08: And it's like, I feel like we need to be relatable and we need to have our own experiences to relate to whoever we're gonna connect with, for them to be like, oh my God, like, yeah, I've gone through something similar.
- 1:07:08SPEAKER_08: And holy cow! Like now, like mentors, right?
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_08: They help us have quicker, faster success.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_08: You're like now this mentor for people out there, whether it's like from eating to breath work and release of all of the stuff that we're holding in, the issues in the tissues, it's so beautiful now that you're this light to help so many people.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_08: So, now how many years have you been doing this for?
- 1:07:30SPEAKER_02: Over four years now.
- 1:07:31SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 1:07:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I've been hosting monthly community group sessions every month, pretty much, for four over four years.
- 1:07:39SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_08: So, would you say would be the coaching to help other people facilitate breath work or you facilitating yourself, the actual like event?
- 1:07:48SPEAKER_08: What do you like anyone better or the same?
- 1:07:51SPEAKER_02: That's so tough because I just made the conscious decision to lean more towards the mentorship of practitioners.
- 1:07:59SPEAKER_02: Just because I feel like, you know, you're talking about contracts and cycles.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_02: I feel like I have poured so much into facilitating the transformation on the mat that now it's time to help practitioners be able to facilitate those as well.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_08: Well with practitioners, right?
- 1:08:16SPEAKER_08: They're gonna go on and they're gonna facilitate for who knows how many years, right?
- 1:08:21SPEAKER_08: And who knows how long we have left.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_08: So it's just like that's beautiful.
- 1:08:24SPEAKER_08: That's legacy, that's like carrying on and it didn't continuing.
- 1:08:28SPEAKER_08: So would you say that going through somatic breath work, as you start to purge and go through things, do you get to a point of enlightenment where like you almost have like got through pretty much everything?
- 1:08:40SPEAKER_08: Or do you think that there's always something more or something deeper you could you could process?
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_02: That's such a great question because a lot of people say that.
- 1:08:48SPEAKER_02: They're like, I've been doing this for six months and I'm like not crying anymore, so I guess I'm fine.
- 1:08:53SPEAKER_02: So yeah.
- 1:08:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:08:54SPEAKER_02: Or for me, I remember I was doing journeys, like full journeys, for a year before I felt anything, before a single tear would roll down my cheek.
- 1:09:02SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_02: It took me that long to get there.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_02: Everyone's nervous system is so different.
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_02: And I do think that when you first start, kind of a pattern that I see with a lot of my clients, and I felt this with myself as well, is once you have that first big release, emotional release, whatever it is, um, you start to unravel for probably like a year-ish.
- 1:09:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:09:24SPEAKER_02: Unraveling doesn't have to be bad and scary.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_02: It just means like the woodworks are really opening up.
- 1:09:29SPEAKER_02: You're feeling your emotions again because so many of us have suppressed or repressed our emotions.
- 1:09:35SPEAKER_02: So when you finally get a dose of sensation and emotion, it's like, oh my gosh, it's coming at me through here, through here.
- 1:09:40SPEAKER_02: I don't even know how to handle or manage all these emotions.
- 1:09:43SPEAKER_02: And so naturally you go back to the sessions to process your emotions.
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_02: But then you get to a phase where you don't need the breath work to process your emotion, nor do you want to be at a stage where you need it.
- 1:09:56SPEAKER_02: You want to be able to sit here and be like, oh, I'm feeling I'm feeling fearful or I'm feeling stressed or I'm feeling sad.
- 1:10:03SPEAKER_02: And like I can be with myself.
- 1:10:05SPEAKER_02: I don't need a session, I don't need ayahuasca, I don't need Reiki, all these things.
- 1:10:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:10:09SPEAKER_02: And so I do think that we start to unravel and use this as a support system, whatever tool it is for some period of time.
- 1:10:17SPEAKER_02: But I wouldn't necessarily say like you're always healing or your healing's over.
- 1:10:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_02: You just cope better with it.
- 1:10:23SPEAKER_02: So it looks different.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_08: No, I 100% hear you and agree because I do feel like, yeah, everyone's on their own journey.
- 1:10:30SPEAKER_08: It's gonna come for you differently.
- 1:10:31SPEAKER_08: Um, I went through Reiki most recently with uh another Casey who was on the lift off experience.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_08: You can go and check out her her show.
- 1:10:41SPEAKER_08: Um, and uh I want to say it's K-I-C-I or something like that.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_08: It's spelt differently.
- 1:10:46SPEAKER_08: Um, and so I like to like say if I'm gonna have someone on the show, I would like to go and try what what you're doing, the modality, whatever it is, because I like to get firsthand experience and go deeper into what it is that you're doing to really immersify myself into your existence, your world, what you're doing.
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_08: Did that with Casey and uh yeah, it felt amazing.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_08: And then she gave me information about going into a different direction outside of what I've been doing for so long, like by this year, and I was like, whoa, scared at first.
- 1:11:18SPEAKER_08: I was like, what?
- 1:11:19SPEAKER_08: Like, I've spent uh 13 years of my life doing liftoff, and it's like, what?
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_08: Um, and and it and it made sense over time, and that whole last like week, I just felt so amazing and enlightened and all the things.
- 1:11:32SPEAKER_08: So it's ready for another session, which I think I'll do.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_08: The wife, she we're gonna do, she's doing tea, mindfulness, and reiki in a group session.
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_08: I thought it was supposed to be one to one, so I'm interested to see how it goes with like a group.
- 1:11:42SPEAKER_08: Groups are amazing, really?
- 1:11:44SPEAKER_08: Yeah, I'm excited to see.
- 1:11:45SPEAKER_08: Yeah, so so we'll see.
- 1:11:46SPEAKER_08: But um, but yeah, definitely y'all out there, you gotta whether it's Reiki, yoga, breath work, get out there and and try and go through the process.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_08: So if someone was to do your modality, how like what is it like?
- 1:12:00SPEAKER_08: Is it is it 15 minutes?
- 1:12:02SPEAKER_08: Is it 30 minutes?
- 1:12:03SPEAKER_08: Is it an hour?
- 1:12:04SPEAKER_08: Is it a group setting?
- 1:12:05SPEAKER_08: Is it individually?
- 1:12:06SPEAKER_08: What do you offer?
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_08: I'm curious to know more.
- 1:12:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so I mean, you can do all of those things, but my sessions specifically are about an hour of active breathing.
- 1:12:15SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 1:12:15SPEAKER_02: So it's about 30 minutes mouth breathing, okay, and then 30 minutes nasal breathing.
- 1:12:20SPEAKER_02: So we're really upregulating you to activate your sympathetic nervous system to draw out those issues from your tissues and those emotions.
- 1:12:29SPEAKER_02: And then the second half, I never want anyone leaving triggered or dysregulated.
- 1:12:33SPEAKER_02: So we really tap into elevated emotions of love, gratitude, and downregulate by nasal breathing.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_02: Um, so it's a full complete journey.
- 1:12:41SPEAKER_02: It's almost like you're climbing a mountain aggressively, and then you're like at the peak, and then it's like, okay, let's just kind of trickle down and like enjoy the view.
- 1:12:50SPEAKER_06: Beautiful.
- 1:12:50SPEAKER_02: Um, you can do one-on-one or group setting right now.
- 1:12:54SPEAKER_02: I'm only hosting group sessions, which, as I mentioned, the group sessions are very, very powerful.
- 1:13:00SPEAKER_02: Have you done breath work in a group session?
- 1:13:02SPEAKER_08: I have not.
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_08: I have um, well, actually, I take that back.
- 1:13:05SPEAKER_08: I did do breath work in a group session with jungle rhythms uh two two events ago.
- 1:13:11SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 1:13:11SPEAKER_08: So I did that.
- 1:13:12SPEAKER_08: Um, and then the wife, she we did a group, just her and I did a breath work um and definitely purged and was emotional and all the things.
- 1:13:22SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 1:13:22SPEAKER_08: Um, I don't know if I purge too much with jungle rhythms, and then I do breath work on my own.
- 1:13:28SPEAKER_08: So we'll love to explore, and if y'all want to as well, I'm gonna make sure the links are down below.
- 1:13:33SPEAKER_08: A group section, how how many people are in the group?
- 1:13:35SPEAKER_08: Yeah, what does it look like?
- 1:13:36SPEAKER_02: So it really just depends, but typically my group sessions are anywhere from 15 to 30 people.
- 1:13:41SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 1:13:42SPEAKER_02: And it gets loud in there.
- 1:13:44SPEAKER_06: Wow.
- 1:13:45SPEAKER_02: There's a lot of emotional purge and release.
- 1:13:48SPEAKER_02: You have one person laughing, you have one person crying, you have one person screaming, you have one person asleep, you have one person like, Why the fuck am I here?
- 1:13:55SPEAKER_02: Like everything going on.
- 1:13:57SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 1:13:57SPEAKER_02: And the emotional release of everyone, going back to permission, we talked about that earlier.
- 1:14:02SPEAKER_02: It gives you permission to start to feel these emotions, or maybe it triggers something in you.
- 1:14:07SPEAKER_02: Like a lot of women, if they hear a man yell, it triggers something in them because maybe they grew up with an abusive father or um just not feeling safe with the masculine presence.
- 1:14:17SPEAKER_02: So the group session, everyone feeds off of each other.
- 1:14:20SPEAKER_02: I say it's like a circus for 30 minutes.
- 1:14:22SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 1:14:22SPEAKER_02: And then it's like everyone starts to downregulate at the same time as well.
- 1:14:27SPEAKER_02: But um, yeah, that's typically how the sessions go.
- 1:14:30SPEAKER_02: That's the group size.
- 1:14:31SPEAKER_02: Um, I facilitated larger sessions than that.
- 1:14:34SPEAKER_02: I just feel like it's too big.
- 1:14:36SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:14:36SPEAKER_02: And um I think like anything under 30 feels really just safe for everyone there and safe for the practitioners involved.
- 1:14:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:14:45SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 1:14:46SPEAKER_08: And what does it cost for something like that?
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_02: So the group sessions cost for me if they're$100 to attend.
- 1:14:52SPEAKER_02: I'm no longer hosting one-on-one sessions, but I mean, you can find sessions anywhere from$40,$50 to a group session to up to$100, whatever it is.
- 1:15:01SPEAKER_02: I know when Vitality comes to town, his tickets are like$150,$200.
- 1:15:05SPEAKER_08: Didn't they have like a big session just like a month ago?
- 1:15:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:15:09SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 1:15:09SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 1:15:10SPEAKER_02: He's always going on tour.
- 1:15:11SPEAKER_02: I haven't been to his session because it's like four hours.
- 1:15:13SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 1:15:14SPEAKER_02: It's not breathing for four hours.
- 1:15:15SPEAKER_02: But for me, I'm like, I just want to go do my thing and then bounce.
- 1:15:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:15:19SPEAKER_02: I don't need to be here for four hours, you know?
- 1:15:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:15:21SPEAKER_02: So my sessions are about 60 minutes, but in totality, where it's about 90 minutes after I give you the introduction and wrap things up.
- 1:15:28SPEAKER_02: Um, but I notice the people who come to my sessions, they are really there to go in and do the work.
- 1:15:35SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:15:35SPEAKER_02: There's some practitioners and no shade to them, but I almost like to call it LA breath work, where it's like it's a little bit more just to like get high on your own supply.
- 1:15:44SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 1:15:45SPEAKER_02: And like feel like really like kind of shoot out of your body into like this other dimension, which is fun by the way.
- 1:15:51SPEAKER_02: I like those sessions too.
- 1:15:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they are.
- 1:15:53SPEAKER_02: But in my sessions, I we can't bypass the body because then we're bypassing everything.
- 1:15:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:16:00SPEAKER_02: We're just disassociating at that point.
- 1:16:02SPEAKER_02: So my sessions, I really keep us in our bodies through the breathing rhythm, the breathing technique, the music that I use, and so that we can actually process those things out of your tissues and not just shoot up here and feel good for an hour and then nothing changes.
- 1:16:16SPEAKER_08: It's so amazing how it's like there's so different many different levels to like, okay, like we talked about earlier, like drugs and alcohol and that type of stuff, to just like meditation and the basics to like getting to breath work and then how you can just shoot past, like, you know, self and not even go internal and process these things that you need to.
- 1:16:36SPEAKER_08: And uh, and it's so, so, so, so real.
- 1:16:40SPEAKER_08: It's so cool, it's so interesting.
- 1:16:41SPEAKER_08: And it's so cool when you start going into these different modalities and you go into these new worlds.
- 1:16:46SPEAKER_08: And um, that's one thing that I love about being able to be on both sides because then you can give people opportunities, especially in the car world, that are like totally have no idea about any of this stuff, and they're just like, What?
- 1:17:00SPEAKER_08: They stumble upon this because of me, and they're like, What the heck?
- 1:17:03SPEAKER_08: This is a total different thing, you know.
- 1:17:04SPEAKER_08: And some people, yeah, it's like they're in their head about it, and they go to the you said they're like in the corner, like, what the fuck's going on right now?
- 1:17:10SPEAKER_01: Literally, you know, like just close your eyes and keep breathing, we'll be done momentarily.
- 1:17:16SPEAKER_08: Yes.
- 1:17:16SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 1:17:17SPEAKER_08: So do you see a lot of people that repeat?
- 1:17:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:17:20SPEAKER_02: As I mentioned, you I kind of notice these patterns with people where they'll get really into it for like a year and then they evolve out of it and it's great.
- 1:17:27SPEAKER_02: That's the purpose.
- 1:17:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:17:28SPEAKER_02: That's the point.
- 1:17:29SPEAKER_02: If your practitioner is telling you you need to be there for the rest of your life or every single month, that's not a practitioner you want to work with.
- 1:17:35SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 1:17:36SPEAKER_02: You want to be with someone who's teaching you to self-regulate and have a self-sovereign way of thinking when it comes to this stuff and not be reliant on any tool.
- 1:17:45SPEAKER_02: You're just talking about this with Michael, actually, about how people become really reliant on the medical system, but then they just flop and become reliant on the tools.
- 1:17:53SPEAKER_02: And you're just trading one thing for the other.
- 1:17:56SPEAKER_08: I need my I need my my S-bass.
- 1:17:58SPEAKER_08: I need my compression.
- 1:17:58SPEAKER_08: I need my whatever.
- 1:18:00SPEAKER_02: I can't function if I don't meditate.
- 1:18:02SPEAKER_02: It's like meditation is great, breath work is great, but I'm not gonna trip out if I miss it.
- 1:18:06SPEAKER_08: No.
- 1:18:06SPEAKER_02: Because then you're just putting stress on your body.
- 1:18:08SPEAKER_08: Exactly.
- 1:18:10SPEAKER_08: 100%.
- 1:18:11SPEAKER_08: Like yesterday, got to a point where it was just like I was feeling like I was just like unintentionally distracting myself, and um, and then I show was over, we're hanging out, and they're watching a movie, and they already like were 15 minutes in.
- 1:18:24SPEAKER_08: So I like left for a second, and um, and then I was like, you know what?
- 1:18:28SPEAKER_08: Like, I just need to downregulate.
- 1:18:29SPEAKER_08: So I just came in here and I just spent like 21 minutes meditating, and then I went into a stretch, and then I did my meditation, I did my stretch, and then I just felt I was like, ah, and then I actually ended up doing a 2.5.
- 1:18:42SPEAKER_08: So like after everything was done, then like the CBD and the THU kicked in.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_08: I was just like, oh, I felt so amazing.
- 1:18:48SPEAKER_08: And then I was like, good, went to sleep, and then it was all good.
- 1:18:51SPEAKER_08: Um, but uh, but I think that's really good to then help you know you all to give you the tools to understand like when something comes up because I think so many people like mentally they're in their head all day long, they forget that they like need to go for a walk or they have to go stretch or do yoga or something.
- 1:19:07SPEAKER_08: Just get up, yes, get up, get out of your head, get into your body.
- 1:19:11SPEAKER_08: And I think a big thing right now, which we're doing right now, is teaching people how to downregulate and get out of their head and get into their heart.
- 1:19:19SPEAKER_08: And I saw a video, uh, Michael ended the jungle rhythms, and uh he said a woman came up to him and was just like was crying, and then he got emotional at the end saying that like these events are just missing heart.
- 1:19:32SPEAKER_08: And I think that that is so true, especially in my industry in real estate.
- 1:19:36SPEAKER_08: It's all vanity, vanity metrics.
- 1:19:37SPEAKER_08: It's all about how many, you know, GCI and how many homes you close and numbers and this and that.
- 1:19:42SPEAKER_08: And it's like, okay, great, and AI and the next big thing, and then everyone's just like chickens with their head cut off.
- 1:19:48SPEAKER_08: Yeah, and that's where we want to then innovate this industry to help them.
- 1:19:52SPEAKER_08: And it's crazy now.
- 1:19:54SPEAKER_08: This is becoming a part of that play to make it all come together full circle, which is just it's such a blessing.
- 1:20:00SPEAKER_02: And a lot of people are bringing in these modalities, like you're doing it through the podcast, yeah.
- 1:20:05SPEAKER_02: But um, I have held a couple of sessions alongside some other practitioners for different real estate communities.
- 1:20:12SPEAKER_02: And when I tell you, we're talking about feeling their heart, like, yes, people want to reach their goals and hit their numbers and do all this stuff.
- 1:20:20SPEAKER_02: But when you give someone an hour to connect with any feeling, and sometimes they're not pretty feelings.
- 1:20:27SPEAKER_02: Lots of times.
- 1:20:28SPEAKER_02: I remember we did a share circle afterwards, and this guy, they were like, Okay, like what like what'd you get from this?
- 1:20:33SPEAKER_02: And he was like, I love my wife.
- 1:20:36SPEAKER_04: Aww.
- 1:20:37SPEAKER_02: Like, that's what I got from this.
- 1:20:40SPEAKER_02: Like feeling so much gratitude for his wife because he probably wasn't even thinking about her during that conference, or maybe was feeling disconnected from her.
- 1:20:49SPEAKER_02: But yes, that's the thing that's gonna change people's life is feeling connected to gratitude to their heart, to the things that are important.
- 1:20:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yes, the numbers are great.
- 1:20:59SPEAKER_02: We need to provide for our families, but when you can get someone to connect to why I am doing all of this, oh, for my wife, for my kids, for my parents, whatever it is, that's what changes their life, which then that motivates them to work more and close the deals and do all this stuff because they're not on default.
- 1:21:16SPEAKER_08: Yes, lift off.
- 1:21:18SPEAKER_08: Let's go.
- 1:21:18SPEAKER_08: Love that.
- 1:21:19SPEAKER_08: Yeah, it's so true because so many people they get um subconsciously programmed to hit a certain goal or have a certain outcome or get to a certain place because of the vanity metrics.
- 1:21:29SPEAKER_08: And you could take this in any industry, it doesn't just be real estate.
- 1:21:32SPEAKER_08: And it's so interesting that, like, like we talked earlier, once you get there, you find out that's not actually what it is because people forget what you said and did, but they won't forget the way you made them feel.
- 1:21:40SPEAKER_08: And so, coming from the perspective of you think about legacy and you think about, oh, well, you know, life insurance policies, leaving money, cars, houses, whatever for my kids, so they'll be set when I'm gone.
- 1:21:51SPEAKER_08: No, it's it's the memories that they hold dear to them of the experiences that you gave them and the conversations that you had, and the campfire talk and the hikes, and you know, jumping into a cold lake and doing a cold plunge, like all these cool things mean so much more than the contrary of like this monetary value.
- 1:22:12SPEAKER_08: And like, say, for instance, when it does come to houses or cars or whatever else, those are just experiences, and that's why I love the name lifts off experience because we all have these experiences, and the experiences are what give like life, like so much of its color.
- 1:22:27SPEAKER_08: Yeah, you know, it's so beautiful, and so that's where it's like about this like whatever.
- 1:22:31SPEAKER_08: I have some investment accounts, and I was like, you know what?
- 1:22:33SPEAKER_08: Money's just sitting there, I'm gonna buy this car.
- 1:22:35SPEAKER_08: It's a 2005, and uh, it's actually a neon, I don't know, Dodge Neon, and uh SRT4.
- 1:22:40SPEAKER_08: And so, long story short, it's like not about the money, it's about the experience.
- 1:22:44SPEAKER_08: And I love working with my hands.
- 1:22:45SPEAKER_08: So I'm gonna go work on the car, I'm gonna, I'm gonna modify it, I'm gonna bring it up to its original glory, and then I'm gonna sell it, make a little money, have some stories, let my wife drive it.
- 1:22:53SPEAKER_08: She loves driving stick, brings her back some memories.
- 1:22:56SPEAKER_08: Yeah, it's little things like that that is more important than you know, looking cool or you know, having this thing because you think someone's gonna think something of someone.
- 1:23:05SPEAKER_08: Because I heard something I had I heard when you um when you come to the end of your life, the one person that's gonna judge you the most is yourself.
- 1:23:15SPEAKER_08: So you might as well start now and look in the mirror and ask yourself a tough question before you get to that point where you're like, shit.
- 1:23:24SPEAKER_08: Really?
- 1:23:25SPEAKER_08: And then let's do it all over again.
- 1:23:28SPEAKER_02: No, no, that looks as great.
- 1:23:30SPEAKER_02: But yeah, that really that's what's been coming up for me as you're sharing that is just integrity.
- 1:23:35SPEAKER_02: Integrity is my absolute core value in anything.
- 1:23:40SPEAKER_02: Amen.
- 1:23:41SPEAKER_02: So whenever I make a decision, a purchase, an interaction, a whatever, like when you talk about looking at yourself in the mirror, I'm like, if I can genuinely say that I lived with integrity with every interaction, because sometimes, like, you know, you fuck up in life and you how you how do you make amends?
- 1:23:58SPEAKER_02: How do you fix it?
- 1:23:59SPEAKER_02: How do you have the conversation?
- 1:24:00SPEAKER_02: Can you apologize?
- 1:24:01SPEAKER_02: Like, I totally should not have said that to you.
- 1:24:04SPEAKER_02: I'm so sorry, I take accountability.
- 1:24:06SPEAKER_02: Like, that's my anchor for everything in life.
- 1:24:09SPEAKER_02: It's like so cliche to say, but like, can I put my head down on the pillow and genuinely know that even if I did mess up or hurt someone, that I made it right?
- 1:24:19SPEAKER_02: Yes, you know, 100%.
- 1:24:21SPEAKER_08: No, I I I agree.
- 1:24:22SPEAKER_08: And that's where it's like being intentional with every situation you go through, whether it's your kids or your spouse or whoever.
- 1:24:29SPEAKER_08: Um, and at this morning, and you know, making a breakfast sandwich for my daughter and I philogaric salt.
- 1:24:35SPEAKER_08: She's very picky and she automatically caught it.
- 1:24:37SPEAKER_08: I said, It's just salt, and I kind of lied.
- 1:24:40SPEAKER_08: And then I got a little upset.
- 1:24:42SPEAKER_08: I'm like, Jordan, you eat that sandwich, and my wife got on me, and all that stuff happened.
- 1:24:46SPEAKER_08: And it's just like, and I even told her, I said, give me a second, give me a second to downregulate and look at what I said, and then own it, yes, and then tell her how I felt without you coming in and you know, whether you tried or not, or it was your intention, I felt like you're reprimanding me.
- 1:25:02SPEAKER_08: I felt like you're already like, you know, defending her, and I get it.
- 1:25:05SPEAKER_08: I'm not trying to be a bully.
- 1:25:06SPEAKER_08: It was like 2.2 seconds, it was there, gone.
- 1:25:09SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 1:25:09SPEAKER_08: But it was just something like, and it stems from other stuff because I didn't grow up like this with any of the things that I have today, worked very hard for it.
- 1:25:18SPEAKER_08: Same thing with my wife, and now she's growing up with everything.
- 1:25:21SPEAKER_08: And it's hard sometimes as a parent to teach your kids that this is not what it's like.
- 1:25:26SPEAKER_08: It's not okay to not eat something because you're so picky when there's kids that have nothing to eat.
- 1:25:31SPEAKER_08: It's not okay to wear your new shoes and say they're too tight, so I'm not wearing them.
- 1:25:35SPEAKER_08: And I just bought you these new clothes and new shoes, and you're now you're not even gonna wear these shoes.
- 1:25:39SPEAKER_08: Okay, fine, I can take them to goodwill and someone else can enjoy them.
- 1:25:42SPEAKER_08: But Jordan, you know, at least try.
- 1:25:44SPEAKER_08: You know, it's so hard and they don't get it.
- 1:25:46SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:25:47SPEAKER_08: They just don't get it.
- 1:25:48SPEAKER_08: They're young and there's just whatever for them.
- 1:25:50SPEAKER_08: Life's just, you know.
- 1:25:51SPEAKER_02: That is tough, especially nowadays with all the gadgets and everything.
- 1:25:54SPEAKER_02: Like, the kids just have so much access to things.
- 1:25:57SPEAKER_02: Like growing up for me, like, we didn't grow up with a lot of money, and all like I remember like being scared to ask for things, and it was like, you don't like your food, you're gonna fucking eat the whole plate.
- 1:26:08SPEAKER_02: Like, we're not wasting any food here.
- 1:26:09SPEAKER_02: Me too, you know, and so like, yeah, times are just so different now when you're born into a family that's has an abundant amount of resources and things available.
- 1:26:18SPEAKER_02: So I'm sure that's tricky.
- 1:26:20SPEAKER_08: I don't have kids, but I'm sure it's it's it's one of those things that like you you manifest a reality that you want to live and you're living it.
- 1:26:27SPEAKER_08: And and you want to share that, but they don't have the same understanding that you do to get to where you where you are, yeah, and then to give that contrast.
- 1:26:35SPEAKER_08: So, like my team's international with Philippines, so we we go and travel abroad.
- 1:26:39SPEAKER_08: So um earlier this year we're in Japan, and then we take her to the Philippines, and then she's seen how people live, and she's like, Why is that house crooked?
- 1:26:45SPEAKER_08: And it looks like it's gonna fall over.
- 1:26:47SPEAKER_08: And like, that's wow, people live, Jordan.
- 1:26:49SPEAKER_08: Like, this is what it is.
- 1:26:50SPEAKER_08: And so we do the best to try to give her that contrast, but at the end of the day, it's um it is it is interesting, and then her friends come over, and then her friends are like, What the heck?
- 1:27:00SPEAKER_08: Like, it's a total different world.
- 1:27:03SPEAKER_08: Um, and then you know, the friend's mom doesn't even have a car.
- 1:27:06SPEAKER_08: I'm like, I have like four cars.
- 1:27:08SPEAKER_08: Yeah, it's like then I kind of feel conscious myself, almost like I don't deserve it, but it's like I work for this, and this is my decision, and this is what I want, but then I'm like, I need to make more so then I can bless people with cars.
- 1:27:22SPEAKER_08: That's what I'm telling myself.
- 1:27:23SPEAKER_08: I'm literally telling myself, like I want to make enough money where I could just be like, I want to bless the people I want to bless with the things that that they would net like Mr.
- 1:27:31SPEAKER_08: Beast.
- 1:27:31SPEAKER_08: I just love how that guy is just like blessing people and all and obviously be conscious about it.
- 1:27:36SPEAKER_08: I don't want to just do it, just whatever, be mindful.
- 1:27:39SPEAKER_08: But uh, but those are the things that I that I deal with.
- 1:27:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and well, that's real though.
- 1:27:43SPEAKER_02: Like that's real life.
- 1:27:44SPEAKER_02: I think that a lot of people, because I feel the same way too.
- 1:27:47SPEAKER_02: Like, I do have a lot of stuff, I do have a beautiful home and nice cars and all these things.
- 1:27:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and sometimes I can feel like uh I feel bad for having these things because other people don't.
- 1:27:58SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:27:58SPEAKER_02: And that's been something that.
- 1:28:00SPEAKER_02: I've been working through recently allowing myself to really like understand it is okay to be blessed.
- 1:28:08SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 1:28:09SPEAKER_02: It is okay.
- 1:28:11SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:28:11SPEAKER_02: And it's it's tough.
- 1:28:13SPEAKER_02: Like the people who know know, like we have this weird, like unworthy, undeservingness, but it's like, what else do you want me to do?
- 1:28:18SPEAKER_02: Like, I work my ass off.
- 1:28:20SPEAKER_02: Like we were good with our money.
- 1:28:21SPEAKER_02: Like, yes.
- 1:28:22SPEAKER_01: What do you want me to do here?
- 1:28:24SPEAKER_01: And so I feel you on that.
- 1:28:26SPEAKER_01: I'm grateful that you shared that because it just lets me know that other people think that way too.
- 1:28:30SPEAKER_08: I'm right there with you, girl.
- 1:28:31SPEAKER_08: I'm right there with you.
- 1:28:32SPEAKER_02: It is when you see someone like your like your daughter's friends, parents who have nothing, and you're like, but that's like a whole again, a whole new layer of certainty in yourself.
- 1:28:41SPEAKER_02: Like, can I like it's what's in my heart that matters, not what I have.
- 1:28:45SPEAKER_08: And I also try to tell myself too, like, everything is a choice, it's a decision.
- 1:28:49SPEAKER_08: And and maybe it's a choice, it's a decision for them to experience that in this time and space.
- 1:28:55SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 1:28:55SPEAKER_08: To be able to get that contrast, to understand what that feels like.
- 1:28:59SPEAKER_08: And so my choice was to understand this contract, uh, concept, um, this concept because, or like life.
- 1:29:05SPEAKER_08: Because when I was growing up, it was like dad's working on cars in the garage, they're smoking pot.
- 1:29:10SPEAKER_08: I mean, talking crystal meth, my mom is up late, she's out doing whatever, my grandparents are taking care of me.
- 1:29:16SPEAKER_08: Like, I'm made fun of tubes in my ears, held back, all this stuff.
- 1:29:20SPEAKER_01: Tubes in my ears.
- 1:29:21SPEAKER_08: I almost got to say living out of trash bags.
- 1:29:24SPEAKER_01: I always used to have ear infections.
- 1:29:26SPEAKER_08: I had water in the ears and it never drained.
- 1:29:28SPEAKER_08: So they put the tubes in the ear to drain.
- 1:29:30SPEAKER_08: It was around third grade and they got held back and all this shit.
- 1:29:32SPEAKER_08: So, so all these things, and like going from one school to the next, and then living in houses that like my ex-father was my mom's ex-husband, which my stepfather, and he would go into homes and he would like do these renovations, and it had like no water heater.
- 1:29:47SPEAKER_08: So we'd have cold water, and it was a shitty home, and he had no rent to pay because he's trying to fix up this home and has his family with them, and so we're living out of trash bags.
- 1:29:55SPEAKER_08: And so I've been there, I've seen it, I seen the contrast, and then I moved to Pleasanton, California.
- 1:30:00SPEAKER_08: I call it Pleasantville.
- 1:30:01SPEAKER_08: I've been here for about six years from California, and uh, I saw then wow, like mansions and big homes and like parents that come together and have companies.
- 1:30:08SPEAKER_08: And I'm like, I saw both.
- 1:30:10SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:30:10SPEAKER_08: So I'm picking this.
- 1:30:11SPEAKER_08: And so sometimes I tell my daughter, I'm like, I'm gonna go send you to a family for a week that has nothing's easy to see the difference.
- 1:30:16SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:30:17SPEAKER_02: And then one thing that like helped me process this when I was in my phase of like kind of feeling unworthy and undeserving.
- 1:30:23SPEAKER_02: I'm like, would you rather have what you used to have?
- 1:30:27SPEAKER_02: The trash bag, the tubes in your ear, all those, like, no, like we gotta be grateful for what we have now because we don't want what we had before.
- 1:30:34SPEAKER_02: So why are we like trying to tiptoe back into that at all?
- 1:30:38SPEAKER_02: Like, just be here with what we have, face the reality.
- 1:30:40SPEAKER_02: You're blessed.
- 1:30:41SPEAKER_02: Thank you, God.
- 1:30:42SPEAKER_02: Move on.
- 1:30:43SPEAKER_08: Amen.
- 1:30:44SPEAKER_08: Let's go.
- 1:30:45SPEAKER_08: Liftop moment.
- 1:30:46SPEAKER_08: I love it.
- 1:30:46SPEAKER_08: No, I'm glad that I mentioned it too, because it's just, you know, it's things that come up, and I think not enough people really ask themselves, like, you know, what comes up for them.
- 1:30:53SPEAKER_08: And I try to do the best I can to share everything.
- 1:30:55SPEAKER_08: I'm very vocal on social media and on my stories and stuff like that.
- 1:30:58SPEAKER_08: I got a big car community, and I bring people here.
- 1:31:01SPEAKER_08: We've had like 17 GTRs, like$3 million worth of cars here, and like I do live podcasts, and then we feed everyone and like 60 people and like do a whole car run and have a video crew come out and all that type of stuff.
- 1:31:14SPEAKER_08: So I do the best I can to be there for others.
- 1:31:16SPEAKER_08: And then like I had a guy hit me up.
- 1:31:17SPEAKER_08: He's starting a detail company.
- 1:31:19SPEAKER_08: He's like, Hey, can I just come over, get some content, wash one of your cars for free.
- 1:31:23SPEAKER_08: I'm like, sure.
- 1:31:24SPEAKER_08: So he came over last night, washed one of the cars and of course, gave him a hundred dollar tip, whatever.
- 1:31:27SPEAKER_08: But you know, he wanted to get the content.
- 1:31:29SPEAKER_08: He's like, first customer, super excited.
- 1:31:31SPEAKER_08: Just in high school, you had his company stopped, and now you want to start up again.
- 1:31:34SPEAKER_08: And he's like, he's like, actually, I was at one of your events.
- 1:31:36SPEAKER_08: I was like, Oh shit, because he already knew everything.
- 1:31:38SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 1:31:38SPEAKER_08: He's like, Yeah, I already went to one of your events uh back in the beginning of the year.
- 1:31:41SPEAKER_08: And I was like, that's so cool.
- 1:31:42SPEAKER_08: Like, you know, and it's like things like that that people will remember as a part of your legacy and that'll live on forever.
- 1:31:48SPEAKER_08: Uh, because how are you showing up?
- 1:31:50SPEAKER_08: Because you're not just this douchebag with nice shit.
- 1:31:52SPEAKER_08: You're actually someone like that cares.
- 1:31:54SPEAKER_08: Um, and I think that like all of this stuff is interesting because it could be a tool for the youth.
- 1:31:59SPEAKER_08: Because if you do have something nice like cars, cars in that car community, it's a little lower vibration, not everyone, but you know, it's very physical, it's it's an object.
- 1:32:09SPEAKER_08: People like to do things with their cars, it's totally fine.
- 1:32:11SPEAKER_08: But I feel like the cars, you know, because you see someone in a Lamborghini, like, oh, what do you do?
- 1:32:15SPEAKER_08: You know, and it like opens up to their mind of curiosity.
- 1:32:18SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 1:32:18SPEAKER_08: And that's where I feel like the Lamborghinis, the GTRs, the Ferraris, those cars could actually be a catalyst to open up doors to be able to speak truth to these individuals that are younger.
- 1:32:28SPEAKER_08: And so that's why I almost like to call myself like a like a bougie yogi.
- 1:32:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:32:33SPEAKER_08: Be that bougie person where you're like, hold on, because usually yogis are like, you know, totally zinned out in like a van and like, you know, they don't really have a residence and they're just all over nomad and stuff like that.
- 1:32:44SPEAKER_08: But I think that it's fun to evolve who who and what a yogi is or or someone who's enlightened, and how you can leverage tools like things that can intrigue people to be like, hold on, what is this other world?
- 1:32:57SPEAKER_02: Did you do you ever feel like, because I kind of feel that way too?
- 1:33:00SPEAKER_02: Do you when you scroll so hard up down the spiritual path, when you start to almost, I don't know if you felt this way, but like look down on the people with the nice things like, oh, you're so materialistic, but I'm embracing now.
- 1:33:12SPEAKER_02: I'm like, no, Casey, it's a part of you naturally, you like nice things, and that's okay.
- 1:33:17SPEAKER_02: Yes, it doesn't make you a bad person because I had this story that in order to be spiritual or enlightened, like I couldn't like the nice things that I have, and I've evolved out of that recently too.
- 1:33:29SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I like being bougie, I like nice things.
- 1:33:32SPEAKER_08: Hey, one of those.
- 1:33:34SPEAKER_08: So this is your confirmation, it's okay.
- 1:33:35SPEAKER_08: Yeah, it's okay to be bougie, enjoy that.
- 1:33:38SPEAKER_08: Yeah, I think that I I um no, I think for me, like if someone has nice things and they think their shit doesn't stink, right?
- 1:33:45SPEAKER_08: That's something that comes up for me where I'm just like, I'm a little kind of like, okay.
- 1:33:49SPEAKER_08: Um, but outside of that, like if someone has nice things, like, uh, it is what it is.
- 1:33:54SPEAKER_08: I'm not too, too much like judgy like that.
- 1:33:58SPEAKER_08: I think sometimes um I'm very like I'm a Pisces, so I'm very extra sensitive.
- 1:34:02SPEAKER_08: I could feel things, I'm very observant, stuff like that.
- 1:34:05SPEAKER_08: So I'll observe certain things and like I can kind of feel kind of feelings.
- 1:34:09SPEAKER_08: So sometimes I could feel like maybe uh, you know, ego complex and like maybe judged towards me because of something that I have or something that I'm doing or or whatever else.
- 1:34:20SPEAKER_08: Because I think there's also a stigma around a lot of people that do have a lot of money, they don't do things themselves, like they pay everyone else to do everything else, and like everything in the studio I did myself.
- 1:34:30SPEAKER_08: Like everything.
- 1:34:30SPEAKER_08: The painting of the wall, all of these strips, like all that upstairs up there.
- 1:34:34SPEAKER_08: I made that myself.
- 1:34:34SPEAKER_08: I hung these lights, everything I did myself, uh, besides like lay the floor.
- 1:34:38SPEAKER_08: But I did the wall with a with the contractor and hung the TV and everything.
- 1:34:41SPEAKER_08: Uh I didn't do the door.
- 1:34:43SPEAKER_08: So, and so I have we actually have an engineer saying with us.
- 1:34:46SPEAKER_08: We have a uh we house hack.
- 1:34:47SPEAKER_08: So we have like two Airbnbs.
- 1:34:49SPEAKER_08: There was three.
- 1:34:49SPEAKER_08: There's a travel trailer, there's a room upstairs, and we built an entire apartment upstairs.
- 1:34:54SPEAKER_05: Oh wow.
- 1:34:54SPEAKER_08: Yes, it's it's the Zen Den.
- 1:34:56SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 1:34:56SPEAKER_08: So there's a loft bed, there's a kitchen, there's a bathroom, the whole nine.
- 1:35:01SPEAKER_08: And so we have an engineer that works Google upstairs.
- 1:35:04SPEAKER_08: There's a kitchen upstairs.
- 1:35:05SPEAKER_08: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:35:05SPEAKER_08: I'll have to show you the Airbnb listing.
- 1:35:07SPEAKER_08: Um, so he's gonna sign a long-term contract because he's working at one of the data centers for for Google.
- 1:35:12SPEAKER_08: And uh, and I was working on the seats for the car that I got.
- 1:35:16SPEAKER_08: Like, I just got a car delivered like last Thursday before I was in San Diego for the conference, and uh waiting on my other corner cars to come back from the shop.
- 1:35:23SPEAKER_08: And long story short, guys, like three months later, I'm like, dude, I want my car back, dude.
- 1:35:26SPEAKER_08: This is taking way too long.
- 1:35:28SPEAKER_08: Doing too much custom stuff.
- 1:35:29SPEAKER_08: If you see that bag right there, the Gucci bag.
- 1:35:31SPEAKER_08: Yes, I'm the one of the first people to have a custom Gucci interior in a Nason GTR.
- 1:35:36SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:35:36SPEAKER_08: That bag matches my interior of my car.
- 1:35:38SPEAKER_03: That's funny.
- 1:35:39SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:35:39SPEAKER_08: Super, super bougie.
- 1:35:41SPEAKER_08: So, long story short, I'm like working on the seats, and then he was just like, Oh, you're still working on your car?
- 1:35:45SPEAKER_08: I'm like, Yeah, I built a 72 Chevelle Melbourne in high school, went to school to work on cars, and like I do a lot of stuff myself.
- 1:35:50SPEAKER_08: He's like, Oh, really?
- 1:35:50SPEAKER_08: And at first I felt like kind of a little judge, and then he's like, Oh, really?
- 1:35:53SPEAKER_08: Yeah, you know, so so that comes up sometimes for me too, where people may think that like because you just do the one thing or they see the success, or because you have this company, like you could just outsource and pay everyone.
- 1:36:04SPEAKER_08: But I think it's very important to know what things cost and understand certain things and then understand like time and then like delegate for time.
- 1:36:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:36:13SPEAKER_08: But like if it gives you fulfillment and you can work with your hands and it's a form of art for me for like the car stuff, then it's just fun.
- 1:36:20SPEAKER_02: What's your human design?
- 1:36:21SPEAKER_02: Do you know that?
- 1:36:22SPEAKER_08: Uh opportunist hermit.
- 1:36:24SPEAKER_02: Okay, but what's your design?
- 1:36:26SPEAKER_08: The design?
- 1:36:27SPEAKER_08: Well, Michael told me that's what it was.
- 1:36:28SPEAKER_08: I have the book.
- 1:36:29SPEAKER_01: That's the number.
- 1:36:30SPEAKER_01: That's the number.
- 1:36:31SPEAKER_01: Yes, it's like 3524.
- 1:36:33SPEAKER_02: That's the okay, I can see that.
- 1:36:35SPEAKER_02: Okay, okay.
- 1:36:35SPEAKER_02: What's your design, which is um projector, manifestor, manifest generator, generator, or reflector.
- 1:36:42SPEAKER_08: I have to, I have to, I'm gonna have to self-reflect on that one.
- 1:36:45SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:36:46SPEAKER_08: I'll have to self-reflect.
- 1:36:47SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:36:47SPEAKER_02: And how do you come up with the you just put your info in uh like an online thing and it'll tell you for you, but your optimistic hermit, is that what you said?
- 1:36:56SPEAKER_08: Because Michael, he identified that I was optimistic optimist hermit, and I have the human design book.
- 1:37:01SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:37:01SPEAKER_08: And then he was like, he was like, yeah, going through that.
- 1:37:03SPEAKER_08: And like, yeah.
- 1:37:04SPEAKER_02: I could see that for you as well.
- 1:37:06SPEAKER_02: I am a projector 3-5, which is like the great life experimenter.
- 1:37:10SPEAKER_02: So I was wondering if you had the experimenter in you because I am very similar to that.
- 1:37:14SPEAKER_08: You could probably relate to that.
- 1:37:16SPEAKER_02: I love like when we built our podcast studio, I was like, let's build it and figure it out ourselves.
- 1:37:20SPEAKER_02: I love figuring the stuff out.
- 1:37:22SPEAKER_02: And then I do too.
- 1:37:24SPEAKER_02: It's super fun.
- 1:37:24SPEAKER_02: I love trial and error.
- 1:37:26SPEAKER_02: I'll try anything.
- 1:37:27SPEAKER_02: I said that earlier.
- 1:37:28SPEAKER_02: Um and then once I figure it out, I'm like, I cannot do the work though.
- 1:37:31SPEAKER_02: So now I'm gonna hire someone to edit the episode and do whatever, but let me figure it out because it's so fulfilled.
- 1:37:38SPEAKER_08: I actually, from the beginning in 2020, when I kicked out my first podcast, Real Safe First Technology, I did the uh I filmed, I did the editing of the intro, and then I did the editing of the podcast, I did the filming of the podcast, everything, and then I delegated it to now other people do that for me.
- 1:37:54SPEAKER_08: And in this room, like that's a grounding mat.
- 1:37:57SPEAKER_08: This right here for the water, if you put it on the crystal, it charges, it charges your water.
- 1:38:02SPEAKER_08: Yes, it charges your water water.
- 1:38:04SPEAKER_08: The crystals around the room.
- 1:38:05SPEAKER_08: So this I do have one plant back there, the snake plant, that's real.
- 1:38:10SPEAKER_08: But this room, because it's the way that I set it up, there's a lot of crystals.
- 1:38:14SPEAKER_08: So there's crystals all around the room that if you see, you'll see them.
- 1:38:17SPEAKER_08: So, and I had um, he's one of the red light guys with uh he he's also at uh Michael's event.
- 1:38:25SPEAKER_08: Uh, I want to say his name is Jack, if I'm not mistaken.
- 1:38:27SPEAKER_08: And uh he came on the show and then he came in with his glasses, so he motivated me in the glasses, and he had like the the the reader for the Bluetooth and AF.
- 1:38:34SPEAKER_08: And then and then he inspired me to have the the grounding max, so I have one over there.
- 1:38:38SPEAKER_08: So just being intentional with little things to be able to take a room that has a lot of tech and try to downregulate as much as you possibly can to not be super overstimulated with neutralize the energy, yeah.
- 1:38:51SPEAKER_08: Yeah, so I have this triangle too that's supposed to help with neutralizing the energy as well.
- 1:38:56SPEAKER_02: So I like this.
- 1:38:57SPEAKER_08: So yeah, we actually because I went to two events ago, um, Jungle Rhythms, and I met one of the gals that does crystals and has crystals, and then so that's where I got that, and then um the same one on the desk.
- 1:39:09SPEAKER_08: But uh actually, over in um Mesa, this big crystal here, there's actually it's called Arizona Gift Shop, and it's a gem store.
- 1:39:18SPEAKER_08: If you haven't been there, you have to go.
- 1:39:20SPEAKER_08: It is amazing, it's very overwhelming.
- 1:39:22SPEAKER_08: So when you first go, it's a lot to take in, but they have so many crystals and so many gems and so many bracelets, and just it is just frickin' amazing.
- 1:39:31SPEAKER_02: I have one of these big ones at home.
- 1:39:33SPEAKER_08: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:39:34SPEAKER_02: Okay, it's really beautiful.
- 1:39:35SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 1:39:35SPEAKER_08: I love it too.
- 1:39:36SPEAKER_08: I was like, I have to have one.
- 1:39:37SPEAKER_08: So we have one here, one in the living room.
- 1:39:40SPEAKER_08: Um, then I have a big old Onyx one that's like supposed to be in the center of the house to kind of have so so yeah, all these little things.
- 1:39:46SPEAKER_08: When you go down the rabbit hole.
- 1:39:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no kidding.
- 1:39:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, tread lightly down the rabbit hole.
- 1:39:50SPEAKER_08: Yeah, tread lightly.
- 1:39:52SPEAKER_08: So, one thing I want to get into, and I was reading on this, and we didn't touch on this yet.
- 1:39:57SPEAKER_08: And you're talking about uh when you put out there, you said one thing to ask about, and I actually want to talk a little bit about this too, um, leadership and integrity, uh, not only in industry, but in um so your industry, but other industries.
- 1:40:13SPEAKER_08: So let's talk a little about leadership and integrity.
- 1:40:15SPEAKER_08: You talked about integrity a little bit earlier, but what is your philosophy when it comes to leadership and integrity?
- 1:40:22SPEAKER_02: Uh, I just feel like, and again, I'd be curious your thoughts as well.
- 1:40:26SPEAKER_02: I feel like just a lot of people lack integrity and have poor leadership skills.
- 1:40:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:40:31SPEAKER_02: And I think growing up working in the law firm and being put in these like high-level executive roles at such a young age, I had to like I was surrounded by old attorneys.
- 1:40:43SPEAKER_02: You know, like I really saw a lot going on.
- 1:40:47SPEAKER_02: I was working with vendors at a young age, doing media deals, all these things.
- 1:40:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:40:51SPEAKER_02: And I just saw how poorly people communicated, how poorly they treated one another.
- 1:40:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:40:55SPEAKER_02: I saw people who communicated great and who thought of other people and who were considerate.
- 1:41:00SPEAKER_02: And I think that's what it is.
- 1:41:02SPEAKER_02: To make a good leader with integrity, you need to consider everyone else before you.
- 1:41:08SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:41:09SPEAKER_02: And I don't see that a lot.
- 1:41:12SPEAKER_02: And I don't see that a lot with a lot of people who have these large platforms, like who I know personally.
- 1:41:18SPEAKER_02: Um, and I'm like, you're you're a great person, but your leadership skills like consider people, like think about other people.
- 1:41:25SPEAKER_02: And then from the other end, I totally get that it's hard to slow down and consider.
- 1:41:30SPEAKER_02: I mean, you have a massive team, like you want to just make decisions, right?
- 1:41:34SPEAKER_02: And go.
- 1:41:34SPEAKER_02: But that decision is gonna affect however many other people are on your team.
- 1:41:39SPEAKER_02: So just by pausing, communicating so that people don't make up stories about the decision being made, like you're gonna prevent so much conflict.
- 1:41:47SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 1:41:48SPEAKER_02: And I just remember being so young, being like, why aren't people talking like this?
- 1:41:51SPEAKER_02: Why aren't people thinking like this?
- 1:41:52SPEAKER_02: Like, why is this happening?
- 1:41:54SPEAKER_02: Hello.
- 1:41:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like it's so obvious.
- 1:41:56SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 1:41:57SPEAKER_02: And so now just the way that I show up in business, whether it be for me and my business partners or the people who I work with or the clients that I serve.
- 1:42:04SPEAKER_02: Um, that's just always like if you cannot have integrity, you should not be in a leadership role.
- 1:42:10SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:42:10SPEAKER_02: Now it gets tricky because everyone has a different definition of integrity.
- 1:42:14SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 1:42:14SPEAKER_02: And so my level might be different than your level and somebody else's level, but I really think it comes down to just cons consideration and thoughtfulness.
- 1:42:23SPEAKER_08: That's so powerful.
- 1:42:25SPEAKER_08: I couldn't be more on the same page with you.
- 1:42:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:42:27SPEAKER_08: Uh growing up on my end, uh, working at all these different jobs.
- 1:42:31SPEAKER_08: So I used to start working at 13 at an apartment complex, and then it just was off the races.
- 1:42:36SPEAKER_08: Mountain bikes, pizza, and I was working at uh Costco and working at Safeway and all these different places.
- 1:42:42SPEAKER_08: And I didn't see a lot of that.
- 1:42:43SPEAKER_08: I didn't see a lot of integrity.
- 1:42:44SPEAKER_08: It was a lot of like put your head down, do your job, don't ask questions.
- 1:42:50SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 1:42:50SPEAKER_08: And everyone was like in their own little bubble and be adaptable.
- 1:42:54SPEAKER_08: Correct.
- 1:42:55SPEAKER_02: Whatever happens, just be okay with it.
- 1:42:56SPEAKER_08: And when you walk through the door, whatever's going on personally, you leave it at the door.
- 1:43:01SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 1:43:01SPEAKER_08: So it's almost like telling people to suppress their emotional responses to what's going on in their personal life.
- 1:43:07SPEAKER_08: Come to the workplace and put a smile on and act like nothing is wrong, which is only gonna manifest issues within the body and the tissues.
- 1:43:15SPEAKER_08: And so that's one reason why I started a business.
- 1:43:17SPEAKER_08: I said, I'm not doing this.
- 1:43:19SPEAKER_08: I'm not gonna work for someone that doesn't understand that uh I have things to offer, I can be an asset to the organization.
- 1:43:25SPEAKER_08: If I'm asking questions and wanting to go above and I'm showing initiative, that's leadership quality.
- 1:43:30SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 1:43:31SPEAKER_08: And so many jobs did not see that, or it was politics because it was always a race to whoever could be management, whoever can be at the top, and whoever can be, you know.
- 1:43:41SPEAKER_08: And then when there was management, I almost felt like for me, anyways, because I tried all these different jobs, they felt threatened by me.
- 1:43:50SPEAKER_08: Why do you feel threatened by me when all I'm trying to do is understand how things work so I could potentially be an asset to you or asset to the to the company?
- 1:43:58SPEAKER_08: So this is what we did.
- 1:43:59SPEAKER_08: We basically had an organization in Danville Alamo.
- 1:44:02SPEAKER_08: So Danville Alamo, very affluent, very rich.
- 1:44:06SPEAKER_08: Um, this is outside of San Francisco, California, uh, Bay Area, and basically averaging home sales price out there is like three to five million.
- 1:44:14SPEAKER_08: And so I have an office there, and I have a huge, not huge, but like 10, 15 people on the team at that time.
- 1:44:20SPEAKER_08: And uh and this was like eight years ago.
- 1:44:22SPEAKER_08: And I had wrong people on the freaking bus.
- 1:44:25SPEAKER_08: It was horrible, to w tumultuous, like we just no one was on the same page talking about politics and news, and I was like, uh, so I had to like completely start all over again because I knew what I was committed to as a leader, and I wasn't committed to having those type of people around me because I was almost like attracting the same type of people who I was around before as my future self because that was my frequency.
- 1:44:49SPEAKER_08: So then fast forward, I accidentally grew in the Philippines and I met Vitz and I met her over six, almost six and a half years ago.
- 1:44:57SPEAKER_08: And so we fired everyone eight months before COVID, met my wife off Instagram, got out of my condo.
- 1:45:02SPEAKER_08: She already owned a condo, so I was renting, moved in with her, built a little office inside the garage, and started from scratch.
- 1:45:10SPEAKER_08: And then we hired these Filipinos that were like a part of like debt collection companies and what have you.
- 1:45:16SPEAKER_08: And it was a lot of just of the same situation.
- 1:45:20SPEAKER_08: They weren't being horred, they would tell management how to fix things, management would take their ideas, take it to upper management, and they would never see the credit.
- 1:45:28SPEAKER_08: They weren't as seen as assets, they're in traffic, all this stuff.
- 1:45:32SPEAKER_08: And so we basically came up with a philosophy of like, I want to see your vision board, and then and and I want you to understand the client's goals.
- 1:45:39SPEAKER_08: And if we can help the client achieve their goal, you're gonna get your goal met.
- 1:45:42SPEAKER_08: And then I meet everyone for 30 minutes once a month as their coach.
- 1:45:46SPEAKER_08: And then on Monday, I do the Monday motivation, and then now they've adapted a lot of my ideologies, and now we're doing the bigger, biggest loser or gain challenge right now.
- 1:45:55SPEAKER_08: And each quarter we do, we were doing like the step-up challenge, the read challenge, all that.
- 1:45:59SPEAKER_08: And now each week we're spinning a wheel.
- 1:46:01SPEAKER_08: And so this week, step up, last week was step-up, the week before that was reading, the week before that was a plank challenge, and so they're all putting in on Discord, is how we speak, with the lift-off challenge, their planking pictures, the books that they're reading, all this type of stuff.
- 1:46:14SPEAKER_08: And then we have the prayer to kick off every single week.
- 1:46:17SPEAKER_08: And a lot of the people that are on the video editing side came from a church during COVID where they could not be a part of anymore.
- 1:46:23SPEAKER_08: And it's funny you said that because right before our podcast, uh I was meeting the team lead in our social department, Bernadette, and she was talking about three of her staff members and check-ins, and she was so excited about it.
- 1:46:34SPEAKER_08: And I and I and I told her, I said, Bernadette, like I'm back to back today, and uh we're getting larger, and I'm getting to a point where I won't be able to like celebrate all your wins with your team because we're getting to this size where I want to support you, I'll take some time to like go over your reviews.
- 1:46:50SPEAKER_08: Let's let's let's benchmark this for next week on Thursday to give you 30 minutes of of my undivided attention instead of going from this meeting to the next and then and then burning myself out and and my nervous system being totally dysregulated.
- 1:47:05SPEAKER_08: Yeah, and she respected it, and she didn't even expect me to meet her at all in the first place, but I still showed up and told her what exactly was going because of integrity and because I care.
- 1:47:15SPEAKER_08: And the team, they take ownership in this organization like it's their own.
- 1:47:19SPEAKER_08: And I treat everyone to be a CEO of their own department, to be proactive, because in the Philippines they're all reactionary.
- 1:47:26SPEAKER_08: And I said, I want you to be proactive, and I want you to set it up where if God prevented ha something happens to you and she said this in the meeting, everyone can still flourish because they're set up for success because you're giving the tools to what they need to have the success.
- 1:47:39SPEAKER_08: So that was my long-winded answer.
- 1:47:40SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 1:47:41SPEAKER_08: Um, so I I love integrity first.
- 1:47:44SPEAKER_08: I love people, I love giving undivided attention.
- 1:47:47SPEAKER_08: So the phones, I don't pay attention when I'm in the room with that person to be as 100% available and be present.
- 1:47:55SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 1:47:56SPEAKER_08: And that's the same thing that I do with my team, and I don't treat anyone different.
- 1:47:58SPEAKER_08: I don't care if you're doing 300 million a year or you're just doing, you know, 10 to 15,000 a year as an agent.
- 1:48:05SPEAKER_08: And because we want them to start rampant scale their business with this organization at Lyft Off, and then within the team, I want to teach them how to because my goal is um I want a hundred in the Philippines, 125 in the States, it's 125 people.
- 1:48:17SPEAKER_08: I want 15,000 agents at about$13 million a month, at$166 million a year, and I'm gonna sell the c the company for half a billion dollars.
- 1:48:26SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:48:26SPEAKER_08: That's my goal.
- 1:48:27SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 1:48:27SPEAKER_08: It's already happened.
- 1:48:28SPEAKER_08: So so if I'm gonna do that, then integrity has to be first, and I have to create leaders, and it has to get to that point.
- 1:48:35SPEAKER_08: Um, and so it's uh it's pretty cool.
- 1:48:37SPEAKER_08: I'm at 500 agents right now so far.
- 1:48:40SPEAKER_08: Um, I know pretty much everyone in the industry just about.
- 1:48:43SPEAKER_08: Um we're getting into our busy season for September.
- 1:48:46SPEAKER_08: Everything's on autopilot, everything's word of mouth, and we help people gain authority in local markets with passive prospecting with YouTube and passive prospecting systems.
- 1:48:55SPEAKER_08: And I'm gonna take this model and I want to duplicate it for the spiritual side.
- 1:49:00SPEAKER_08: I want to help people.
- 1:49:01SPEAKER_08: Casey is the first model, and I just got her to get her on video on short form to get herself out there because she is a medium and she is Reiki, she's a medium, she's a beautiful soul, and and her angels and her friends, and I was like the nail in the cough, and we so spoke yesterday.
- 1:49:17SPEAKER_08: I said, You gotta get video out there.
- 1:49:19SPEAKER_08: I said, You're gonna put it in these different quadrants, just figure out what really works, and then you'll be able to have liftoff in whatever section you need.
- 1:49:25SPEAKER_08: I go by Mr.
- 1:49:26SPEAKER_08: Liftoff with liftoff agent, liftoff experience.
- 1:49:29SPEAKER_08: Yeah, it just kind of happen organically like that.
- 1:49:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:49:31SPEAKER_08: Um, so I'm excited.
- 1:49:33SPEAKER_08: It's it's it's cool.
- 1:49:34SPEAKER_08: This is and that's where when she told me I'm gonna be going in a different direction, that's when I was like, Whoa, okay.
- 1:49:38SPEAKER_08: So as soon as liftoff starts running itself, then I see I see the vision for what could be next.
- 1:49:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean the the spiritual community and just practice I mean, I work with so many of them that that's a for most people that's a piece that they struggle with the most.
- 1:49:53SPEAKER_02: Big time is the how do you scale?
- 1:49:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the business side, which I help my practitioners do as well.
- 1:49:58SPEAKER_02: But then also Showcasing the potency of their work because it is so energetic.
- 1:50:03SPEAKER_02: It's not like I'm showing you a house that we can tour.
- 1:50:06SPEAKER_02: You have to really convey that feeling through video, through storytelling, through footage, whatever it is.
- 1:50:14SPEAKER_02: And so there's definitely a market there for sure.
- 1:50:17SPEAKER_08: And the crazy part is that Casey has gone through a lot of work herself.
- 1:50:21SPEAKER_08: And even going through all the modalities and everything that she's been through, she felt like she wanted to throw up trying to film her first video.
- 1:50:28SPEAKER_08: So it's interesting, you know, that's another modality.
- 1:50:31SPEAKER_08: That's another way to center and get past self and get to a point of like being okay with maybe the unknown because there's comments and there's this and there's that.
- 1:50:43SPEAKER_08: And I have a feeling that she's probably gonna hit hundreds, if not millions, of people.
- 1:50:48SPEAKER_08: And I have a feeling that she came from a background of a lineage of whether it's her family, past life progression, or whatever else, where like maybe she was, I'm gonna put it out there, a witch, and she was teaching things way above its time, like Jesus Christ.
- 1:51:02SPEAKER_08: And now she's in a time where it's more acceptable, but getting past that to then get into video to then hit the masses.
- 1:51:09SPEAKER_08: And then I said as soon as you start hitting the masses, I have the infrastructure to put the bumpers up, like when you're playing bowling, so you can facilitate with SOPs and KPIs and be okay.
- 1:51:18SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:51:19SPEAKER_08: Because that's what we do.
- 1:51:20SPEAKER_08: We have the team and the infrastructure to do it on top of the fact with the coaching, and then you co-create and it's just like isn't it funny how some people like the fear that comes up from being visible on things?
- 1:51:33SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:51:33SPEAKER_02: You know, like whether it's posting an Instagram story or video.
- 1:51:36SPEAKER_02: Like I have I work with clients as well who they cannot get a video out because it feels like a serious threat is happening to their body.
- 1:51:45SPEAKER_08: Are you feeling that out there?
- 1:51:46SPEAKER_02: I also understand that as well because even with me, I've always been very comfortable on camera and like you know, I've just it's been kind of natural.
- 1:51:52SPEAKER_02: However, there's been a lot of parts that we're super fearful of sharing.
- 1:51:56SPEAKER_02: And that's kind of what I've been working through with the podcast.
- 1:51:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:51:59SPEAKER_02: Like shedding those layers of being more vulnerable and sharing more, like even the getting fired from like a family situation, you know, like because you think like who's gonna listen?
- 1:52:10SPEAKER_02: You don't want to start shit, like all these things.
- 1:52:12SPEAKER_02: And so there's so many layers to that.
- 1:52:14SPEAKER_02: But that's such a big piece the visibility, allowing yourself to be seen, you know, the fear of rejection, the feel fear of failure, uh, the fear of people judging, all of those things.
- 1:52:25SPEAKER_02: Cause you literally feel like you post something and you might want to throw up.
- 1:52:29SPEAKER_02: Like that's how it feels for some people.
- 1:52:31SPEAKER_02: Yes, you know, you see three views on a video and it's like the end of the world.
- 1:52:35SPEAKER_08: It's so true.
- 1:52:36SPEAKER_08: And the interesting part is so they say when you start into business as an entrepreneur, like tell nobody.
- 1:52:42SPEAKER_08: Like just nose to the grindstone and do what you gotta do, right?
- 1:52:45SPEAKER_08: And then eventually people will understand because not always your family will be your biggest supporter.
- 1:52:51SPEAKER_08: Sometimes family like they are?
- 1:52:53SPEAKER_01: I feel like your family and friends are the worst.
- 1:52:55SPEAKER_08: They're the worst.
- 1:52:55SPEAKER_08: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:52:56SPEAKER_08: They're not always, there's some are, but some a lot of aren't, right?
- 1:52:59SPEAKER_01: It's not for everyone.
- 1:52:59SPEAKER_08: Yeah, it's not for everyone.
- 1:53:00SPEAKER_08: So, so what I'm saying is is that like be careful because even with like, say, this show, and I've had a lot of people that haven't really put themselves out there, they have and and they're like, oh my god, like like my my wife came on and then her mom listened to it, and she was trying to tread lightly about past stories to not bring certain things up.
- 1:53:19SPEAKER_08: Because the first person who's gonna watch that podcast, going deeper into something, because because I'm a Pisces and because of who I am and my aura, people open up to me and they tell me their whole life story, and it just happens just all just not even because of show, it just happens.
- 1:53:33SPEAKER_08: Like, everyone just tells you everything.
- 1:53:34SPEAKER_08: Like, well, so do I.
- 1:53:35SPEAKER_08: Yeah, and so the first person to judge you, unfortunately, is your family, and then they have to look in the mirror themselves innately because you're telling a story, or you know, Casey, who's on this other other Casey who's on the story, she had to say some stuff, but then she also didn't say everything because she didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
- 1:53:51SPEAKER_08: And then after the show, she was like, Oh, that was my dad.
- 1:53:54unknown: Right.
- 1:53:55SPEAKER_08: And I was like, What?
- 1:53:56SPEAKER_08: Oh my god, like I had no idea.
- 1:53:58SPEAKER_08: Um, and so if you're watching this and you're already now two hours in, you now know, but uh, but you have to go really deep down the rabbit hole at this time for anyone to actually be able to connect the dots, watch that episode, this episode, whatever.
- 1:54:09SPEAKER_08: Um, but there's clues.
- 1:54:12SPEAKER_08: So it's very interesting how that happens, and it's unfortunate, but it's fortunate because you know, honestly, if you publicly put yourself out there, the family has to really go through that.
- 1:54:21SPEAKER_08: And I've I've posted after my Reiki session, I was crying, and it was just a release.
- 1:54:25SPEAKER_08: And I put my picture out there crying, and my wife's like, I would never do that, blah, blah.
- 1:54:29SPEAKER_08: And I'm like, I was like, I felt compelled to do it, and I don't care about doing it because I needed to get anyone to be like, Are you okay or what's going on?
- 1:54:37SPEAKER_08: That's the first thing.
- 1:54:38SPEAKER_08: Are you okay?
- 1:54:38SPEAKER_08: Did you lose someone?
- 1:54:39SPEAKER_08: Like the traditional pattern, but no, I'm like, this is a pattern interruption to do something different, to get people to be like, What is going on?
- 1:54:47SPEAKER_08: And I and I put things in the comment, but I like to like leave clues to open the doors to and give keys to people to unlock the doors they didn't know that they had.
- 1:54:57SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:54:57SPEAKER_08: Instead of sometimes people put things out so blatantly, and I like to be a bit more intricate with that process.
- 1:55:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you become discerning, especially when you have a podcast and you're talking so much, you just become aware of how deep you want to go because maybe you didn't have that conversation yet.
- 1:55:14SPEAKER_02: You didn't pre-frame someone.
- 1:55:15SPEAKER_02: Like I remember my husband listened to some of my episodes and he like he started asking me.
- 1:55:20SPEAKER_02: He's like, Is there anything you need to tell me before I listen to?
- 1:55:23SPEAKER_02: I'm like, actually, yes.
- 1:55:24SPEAKER_02: Because he make I hear my name and I like tense up.
- 1:55:27SPEAKER_02: I start to freak out a little bit, you know?
- 1:55:28SPEAKER_02: And so it's like this new era that we're in.
- 1:55:32SPEAKER_02: Like this didn't exist years ago, but now it is.
- 1:55:35SPEAKER_02: But you're right, it's the the people have to look at themselves.
- 1:55:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:55:39SPEAKER_02: And however, they didn't sign up for their stories to be shared.
- 1:55:42SPEAKER_02: So now I get a little bit more crafty with, you know, it's how Casey said, like, my friend or whoever, but it was her dad.
- 1:55:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:55:48SPEAKER_02: It's like offer a little bit more privacy.
- 1:55:50SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:55:50SPEAKER_02: But then also in the realm of being authentic and freeing yourself truly, like it's being able to be comfortable sharing it, knowing that you can handle the outcome of sharing it.
- 1:56:03SPEAKER_08: Amen.
- 1:56:03SPEAKER_08: Lift off.
- 1:56:04SPEAKER_08: Let's go.
- 1:56:05SPEAKER_08: My problem, I have no filter.
- 1:56:07SPEAKER_08: I just say it.
- 1:56:08SPEAKER_08: I love it.
- 1:56:09SPEAKER_08: And I and I say too much.
- 1:56:10SPEAKER_02: No, it's because people are entertaining though, like who just go for it, you know?
- 1:56:14SPEAKER_08: I just don't give.
- 1:56:15SPEAKER_08: I literally, when I first met my wife, I like recorded our whole life for three years and put it on YouTube.
- 1:56:20SPEAKER_08: Everything.
- 1:56:20SPEAKER_08: Our birth, the wedding, the proposal, like everything.
- 1:56:24SPEAKER_08: I just I didn't care.
- 1:56:25SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:56:26SPEAKER_08: And you know, today you look back and you're like, okay, I not famous, didn't get a bunch of views, whatever.
- 1:56:32SPEAKER_08: But it was fun in Monday through Friday, and it was called the entrepreneur, um, entrepreneur experience.
- 1:56:36SPEAKER_08: And so, and then Sunday it went live, and it was just cool to like, and then my daughter has that first, she wants to look back or whatever else.
- 1:56:43SPEAKER_08: And we have her from, you know, conception to like three, four years old, uh, moving out to Arizona.
- 1:56:49SPEAKER_08: And so, and then now I do just do little certain things, but it's like I don't care.
- 1:56:54SPEAKER_08: Like, I feel like, and I respect privacy.
- 1:56:56SPEAKER_08: So, if you're a private person, that's totally fine.
- 1:56:58SPEAKER_08: For me, I just feel like if you think about it from a spiritual sense, there is no such thing as privacy.
- 1:57:04SPEAKER_08: Like, we all are one having different experiences of the same in different situations, whether that's like where you live or who you're dating or whatever else, it's consciousness as a whole, just having these different, you know, experiences.
- 1:57:17SPEAKER_08: So it's like, so I get it, um, but at the end of the day, it's like, I don't know.
- 1:57:21SPEAKER_08: I like to challenge people.
- 1:57:22SPEAKER_08: I I just that's what I do.
- 1:57:23SPEAKER_08: And even with like lift off, I had a meeting with a client, and I just totally told her.
- 1:57:27SPEAKER_08: I said, I said, Gina.
- 1:57:29SPEAKER_01: Gina.
- 1:57:30SPEAKER_08: I said, girlfriend, like, this is the second time we're having the meeting.
- 1:57:34SPEAKER_08: I'm seeing a pattern here, and I said, You just don't understand, it's not making sense.
- 1:57:39SPEAKER_08: And like, she was like flabbergasted after I'm not gonna say all the things, and then and then she told Mark, because he's our customer success manager, I'd leave for my next appointment, and she's like, Does hopefully he doesn't like talk to clients, all the clients like that?
- 1:57:51SPEAKER_08: And my goal is to get into personal development coaching soon, uh, personal, professional, and spiritual uh uh development, and um and that was one thing that came up with the Casey and the Reiki and the next thing, and um and I think people need it more straight, dude.
- 1:58:06SPEAKER_08: They just need it more straight, and it's like sorry, this isn't what it is.
- 1:58:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we baby a lot of people.
- 1:58:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and that's and that's part of like you know the leadership, right?
- 1:58:15SPEAKER_02: Being able to attune our communication so that you can receive what I'm sharing with you, and so can Gina and all these things.
- 1:58:22SPEAKER_02: However, we don't want to be babying people in the process.
- 1:58:26SPEAKER_02: You know, I had an experience recently, it's one of those things I'm gonna say, a friend of a friend, I know, because I don't want to tell a person.
- 1:58:31SPEAKER_02: You're good, you're good, yeah.
- 1:58:32SPEAKER_02: So that you know, we were in this dynamic and someone was very inconsiderate of the other person.
- 1:58:38SPEAKER_02: Like they were very inconsiderate of the other person, pissed them off all the things.
- 1:58:41SPEAKER_02: And I was like, okay, well, are you gonna say something to them?
- 1:58:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:58:44SPEAKER_02: And he was like, No, because he can't he can't handle like that type of communication.
- 1:58:49SPEAKER_02: I was like, How are we helping him grow and be a better person?
- 1:58:52SPEAKER_02: Because he probably doesn't even realize that that was inconsiderate.
- 1:58:55SPEAKER_02: But if we let him know, hey, I still love you, but this was very inconsiderate.
- 1:58:59SPEAKER_02: Can you see why?
- 1:59:00SPEAKER_02: He'd probably be like, oh my gosh, I didn't even think of that.
- 1:59:04SPEAKER_02: Like, thank you for letting me know.
- 1:59:05SPEAKER_02: And like, I've I'm not gonna do that again with you or anybody else.
- 1:59:08SPEAKER_08: Correct.
- 1:59:09SPEAKER_02: But by babying someone, we're stumping their growth.
- 1:59:12SPEAKER_05: Correct.
- 1:59:12SPEAKER_02: And so it's can I attune to how this person is and deliver it in a way that they can receive it, knowing that their reaction is not my responsibility, and it is gonna create a little bit of discomfort, but that's all the leadership skills.
- 1:59:25SPEAKER_08: Yes.
- 1:59:26SPEAKER_08: Lift off, and I'll give everyone uh a tip because I sometimes tie too much emotion into the response of what I want to say.
- 1:59:35SPEAKER_08: So the cool thing about AI, and I use ChatGPT, I said, you know, this is the situation, this is the message I want to send.
- 1:59:42SPEAKER_08: I need to send them a message that has no emotion that will be able to connect so they can receive it.
- 1:59:52SPEAKER_08: And I did that with my mother-in-law, my stepmother-in-law, or I guess she might we'll say this is my wife's father and his new wife.
- 2:00:01SPEAKER_08: So, whatever that is to me.
- 2:00:03SPEAKER_08: And so I did that, and it was great.
- 2:00:05SPEAKER_08: She literally said, Next time I will try better.
- 2:00:09SPEAKER_08: That was it.
- 2:00:10SPEAKER_08: And we left it, we left it alone.
- 2:00:12SPEAKER_08: So that's why I feel like sometimes, like, hey, use AI because it doesn't have an emotions.
- 2:00:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 2:00:17SPEAKER_02: Sometimes people will surprise you with their response.
- 2:00:20SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 2:00:20SPEAKER_02: And just keep it simple.
- 2:00:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 2:00:22SPEAKER_02: You know, not everything goes into a spiral.
- 2:00:24SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 2:00:24SPEAKER_08: I absolutely love that.
- 2:00:25SPEAKER_08: I absolutely love that.
