- 0:53Speaker 2: Uh.
- 0:53Speaker 4: We've got the whole gang here for the first time, Matthew, Clayton, Flynn,
- 0:59Alandra Blank, Space villar Real. We've got Taylor Melman Malone
- 1:04sharp hmm. Would you have guess Malone for Taylor?
- 1:08Speaker 7: I would not have guessed either. I mean not even
- 1:13my top like three hundred guests.
- 1:14Speaker 4: Now me, neither me, neither I would have thought something more.
- 1:17Speaker 7: George Yes, super White, Porge yes, Tim Timothy, Tim.
- 1:25Speaker 4: These are fair guesses. Very Elandra didn't have him in
- 1:30the name. We've we've covered that either.
- 1:34Speaker 6: It's pretty good, Madonna.
- 1:39Speaker 8: Na.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna go with McLevin though, now that I've
- 1:42heard that, we so we do have a very big
- 1:46show planned.
- 1:47Speaker 9: Uh.
- 1:48Speaker 4: It is our first official show together. Although you know,
- 1:51Matt and I have done a lot of radio together.
- 1:53Matt's done some radio here. I don't want to say
- 1:55a lot. There's a lot of Wednesdays we didn't know
- 1:57where he was. He's here today. It is, as Tata said,
- 2:01a new era here for OTV. We are fired up,
- 2:05and look, we will get to the baseball game. We'll
- 2:07get to the game tonight, but I do want to
- 2:10lay out the show here kind of before we get rolling.
- 2:13We're gonna have Jimbo Fisher, our former offensive coordinator of course,
- 2:17head coach at Florida State, Texas A and m He's
- 2:20going to join us at seven thirty.
- 2:23Speaker 7: I cannot wait to talk to you.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Oh really. So it was like when he was still
- 2:29at Florida State.
- 2:30Speaker 7: I remember it was post playing, I believe, and he
- 2:32was like, Yeah, we need to get you down there
- 2:34and talk some empty protections. Blah blah blah, I hadn't.
- 2:36I never spoke to him after he went to A
- 2:38and M. Oh, it's been a minute though, Okay, all.
- 2:42Speaker 4: Right, Well I'm excited about that. See, I have caught
- 2:45up with coach a bunch he hosts with us on
- 2:48Tuesdays over on off campus throughout the entire football season.
- 2:51And then when he was at A and M, I
- 2:52had a chance to cover games and I sit there
- 2:55and I talk with him, and you know, he tell
- 3:00bad he'd tell bad stories about me. I tell him
- 3:03how he made up six different cuss words and put
- 3:05him together, and he was usually talking to you were JaMarcus,
- 3:08And so I'm excited about that. We gave him seven
- 3:11thirty because if you've ever listened to Jimbo talk, there's
- 3:14no way in the world we could do close to
- 3:17an end of an hour or a heartbreak. So he's
- 3:19at seven thirty. We'll try to get out like by
- 3:22seven forty nine to make sure we hit all of
- 3:24our marks. We got aj Hawk joining us at eight o'clock.
- 3:28Let's give Flynn around him flows he did his job
- 3:31for the first time contribution because we did hanging with
- 3:35hester for those years. I don't know, I really don't
- 3:39remember how long that show was, but we did it
- 3:41for a long time. And he brought one guest.
- 3:44Speaker 7: No, uh yeah, you run Evan Mooreymore brought one guest
- 3:47and a great guest.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Yeah, talk to him all the time on other shows.
- 3:51You brought one guest in two years. At least two
- 3:54years we did that. So you're doing better A J.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Hawk.
- 3:58Speaker 7: I'm officially media guy now, so you are, like it
- 4:00took it took me seven years to admit it.
- 4:03Speaker 4: You are.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Do I get credentials at games now?
- 4:06Speaker 4: Yes? Get in the press box, yes, Sam, right in
- 4:09a column. You can get like you can you can
- 4:13not one swinging soul in that press box is gonna
- 4:16believe that. We Actually, I take that back because that
- 4:17they've they've like I've written things and if I can
- 4:21do it, I think we both can do it. You've
- 4:22written things. I have a couple too, maybe Like for
- 4:26what for our website? Are you serious?
- 4:29Speaker 5: You're an author?
- 4:30Speaker 4: What's our website?
- 4:31Speaker 5: You're a published author?
- 4:33Speaker 4: What's our website?
- 4:36Speaker 5: We're pushing one four or five ESPN.
- 4:39Speaker 6: He doesn't know it, or he doesn't know that we
- 4:41have one t p S.
- 4:43Speaker 5: That's web that's not you want to.
- 4:47Speaker 4: So we have we have a website, Loising Sports dot net.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I know.
- 4:52Speaker 4: You see the truck out there when you park today?
- 4:54Is that news? It is new.
- 4:56Speaker 5: It's nice.
- 4:57Speaker 4: So that that is our website. And you know we
- 4:59cover Scene Eatson and LSU and website's ours. Yeah yeah, huh.
- 5:06And you can us. You're gonna write an art for us,
- 5:09write a column. You keep going back.
- 5:12Speaker 5: To the column, a whole column.
- 5:13Speaker 4: All right. Uh, We've got Baseball Hall of Famer Chipper
- 5:16Jones joining us at nine am. And then, of course
- 5:20it is Monday, so we've got Devin snow Hold the
- 5:23Mayo joining us at nine point fifteen. No, this is
- 5:26not a Dak Prescott jersey. This is a Jonathan Moxon jersey.
- 5:30Do you think Dak Prescott won state championships in nineteen
- 5:34eighty seven and eighty nine. Well Moxing didn't either, but
- 5:36Bud Kilmer did.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Like Kilmer, sure as heck did.
- 5:40Speaker 4: So this was a look. I saved this for today
- 5:43because if there's one thing that Flynn and I share together,
- 5:47it is our love for varsity blues. Although, like I'm
- 5:50probably gonna take it off at some point because Flynn
- 5:52brought us nice new hoodies. Check this out.
- 5:54Speaker 7: Oh yeah, this is limited edition, limited print, short print,
- 6:00very short because Jacob changed the logo after it, but
- 6:04straight this will be in the to be exhibit.
- 6:08Speaker 4: There's nothing that says we can't use that logo as well. Yeah,
- 6:13I think I think it's as we've learned here over
- 6:15the last couple of weeks, like kind of know what
- 6:19ever I want, you know, in a good way, like respectfully,
- 6:23with all due respect. But we're still doing it.
- 6:26Speaker 7: Well, we all got these hoodies now, so we need
- 6:28to pick a day where we all wear.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Them together like a uniform.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Okay, are we going to roll in a media day
- 6:33all wearing the same hoodie?
- 6:34Speaker 5: There's no doubt about it.
- 6:36Speaker 4: I actually I might have something, uh something on the
- 6:40way too.
- 6:41Speaker 5: I can't wait.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Maybe what is it? Tell it's a surprise?
- 6:46Speaker 5: All right?
- 6:46Speaker 4: Well?
- 6:47Speaker 5: Can I say something?
- 6:48Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 6:49Speaker 5: Can I say how fired up I am to be
- 6:51here right now?
- 6:52Speaker 6: We would love for you to.
- 6:56Speaker 7: Yeah, I gotta talk, you don't, Hey, look you don't
- 6:59have to add Can I tell you something?
- 7:01Speaker 4: Like three hours?
- 7:04Speaker 5: So funny?
- 7:05Speaker 7: Well, like someone I was taught that when somebody's speaking,
- 7:08you don't interrupt them.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Real quick, real quick. We're in a sales meeting for
- 7:12the sales team to get to know friend sure and look,
- 7:15and for all of us too, like you know, all
- 7:17up to get back in front of each other. And
- 7:19we've got a new show and we're excited about it,
- 7:21going to sell it out and do the whole deal. Uh.
- 7:24I forget who was talking. But and then Matt has
- 7:26a question as a forty year old man, so to
- 7:28be forty year old man, he raises his hand to
- 7:31get called.
- 7:33Speaker 5: It was more like it was more of like it
- 7:37was full hand. It was a classroom desk.
- 7:41Speaker 7: So are you trying to tell all the children out there?
- 7:43When you become adults you can just be rude and
- 7:46interrupt people.
- 7:47Speaker 4: It was an open forum kind of meeting, like where everybody.
- 7:50Speaker 6: Like maybe like a little finger, like you know, it
- 7:54was kind of like that.
- 7:58Speaker 3: It wasn't you're talking about us bus And he's like,
- 8:01all aboard to too.
- 8:03Speaker 6: I don't think bus is too.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Sorry, what do you want to say? You're fired to be?
- 8:07Speaker 8: Yeah, you're yeah old on buses they have horns, they
- 8:10have horn.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Well you know, I mean it's.
- 8:14Speaker 6: More like a honk.
- 8:15Speaker 4: I think the wheels I wasn't gotta get a Hong Kong.
- 8:18Speaker 6: That would have been amazing.
- 8:19Speaker 4: If go beep beep, yeah, horn on the bus goes
- 8:25beep beep beep, yeah. Yeah. I gotta look. I got
- 8:27as soon to be two year old. I know all
- 8:29about the wheels on the bus and the horn as well.
- 8:32Speaker 7: Too, So I'm fired up to be here. Yes, I
- 8:37was honestly didn't know this place opened before like eight o'clock,
- 8:41So I was.
- 8:42Speaker 4: I was shocked.
- 8:43Speaker 7: So like, I came to the front door and I
- 8:44tried to use my key and it wouldn't let me in.
- 8:46Speaker 4: I had to go to the side door to let me.
- 8:48Oh yeah, the front front door.
- 8:50Speaker 5: I was like, well, this sucks.
- 8:52Speaker 4: That doesn't open until eight.
- 8:53Speaker 7: Because me being a good a good boy, first day
- 8:57I got here at like six twenty six, showed up early.
- 9:00Speaker 4: Yeah, so you come in here, put my stuff down,
- 9:02prep get ready.
- 9:03Speaker 7: Yeah you know, Taylor was the only one here when
- 9:05I got here, so shout out to you. But we
- 9:08were talking about writing something. So when you kick off something,
- 9:11we're kicking off a new show here, right, you like
- 9:14to have a toast?
- 9:16Speaker 4: Okay, So I wrote something.
- 9:18Speaker 7: Okay, I wrote a toastground yea, yeah, yeah, background.
- 9:24Speaker 4: What kind of background music do you want? Though, I
- 9:26don't know, like survive. I mean I didn't write it.
- 9:28You wrote the column.
- 9:29Speaker 5: I mean it's real short, real short, and sweet toasting music.
- 9:32Speaker 7: Toasting music. That's okay, Taylor. If you could just hum
- 9:39a song in the background, that'd be great. You have
- 9:41a hymnal going please Highway to Hell. Never mind on
- 9:44the hymnal. All right, So everyone in the in the
- 9:50studio here, if you're in your car at home super
- 9:54early to work in at your office, just raise a glass,
- 9:56raise a coffee cup, raise a coffee cup, raise it.
- 10:00If you don't have something, just raise your hand up
- 10:02and be respectful of Okay, yeah, all right, already, all right,
- 10:07here's to you, here's to me. I'm so dang fired
- 10:11up for the new o T B all right, first
- 10:15Jordi and T Bob right and then T and Hester.
- 10:19But it's our turn now, so let's freaking flester.
- 10:27Speaker 4: It's actually really good. Absolutely, I'm a poet. Well done, hangover, Yes,
- 10:36there's one.
- 10:37Speaker 6: I was one in the wolf pack.
- 10:41Speaker 8: After you said like you, Paul, You're like, all right,
- 10:44I'm like's not it going.
- 10:49Speaker 4: I know Flynn is going to be closer to that
- 10:52movie than you think, and you will learn that over time.
- 10:55What are you talking about, hangover?
- 10:58Speaker 5: I'm a father and businessman.
- 11:00Speaker 7: And a businessman and immediate column writer.
- 11:05Speaker 4: I can't wait. If you've did you say a poem?
- 11:07I I did? I did. If you're listening and you
- 11:10work for Louising on sports dot net and which there
- 11:13is many Flynn has put his services up.
- 11:17Speaker 5: To write a column, I could even write poems.
- 11:19Speaker 4: I think on your first column you should write because
- 11:22if there's one thing that you know more than anything
- 11:25in sports, it's not LSU. It is not the Green
- 11:28Bay Packers. It is the nineteen ninety five Texas Rangers.
- 11:34What you know more about them than you do teams
- 11:37you've played on? And I mean that sincerely. What it's like,
- 11:40It's like it's the only sports nugget that you know.
- 11:47Speaker 7: I mean, so, look, so I don't know a lot
- 11:50about like name stats, blah blah blah. I can tell
- 11:52you mindsets. I can tell you what the players should
- 11:55be feeding doing blah blah blah. I can talk the
- 11:58heck out of some past protections. But now then I'm
- 12:01a immediate. Guy, I'm gonna learn it. I'm gonna do it.
- 12:04Speaker 4: But I like the never you got a point, You've
- 12:06got this space in your brain for like one. Gonzales
- 12:09and me and my dad used to every single Texas
- 12:15Ranger game ground up, just like you with the Brakes,
- 12:17with the Brads TBS.
- 12:20Speaker 7: We need to ask Chipper does he really like does
- 12:22he know like what kind of boost TBS gave his
- 12:27probably like his career.
- 12:28Speaker 4: It's actually a good question, like.
- 12:31Speaker 7: Legit because it was sure like he was the only
- 12:33person played probably coast to coast, right, the only team.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Oh, I mean it was in the Cubs WGN. You
- 12:40know they'd be on WGN. But what what the superstation
- 12:44did for the Braves. No, it's it's a good point.
- 12:47I mean all of those Braves during that that time
- 12:49period were probably a little bit more famous because.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Every a little bit they had been ton yeh.
- 12:56Speaker 4: The entire Southeast with Brave fans. Rangers would have waxed
- 13:01them though, yeah.
- 13:03Speaker 7: Waxed them the range the other day like how they
- 13:05not win like multiple worlds here?
- 13:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I said, I said they were actually built for
- 13:10uh slow pitch softball championships and not actual baseball championships
- 13:15with the guys that they had. That's fair. Now, if
- 13:17they put a bench press out there and said, dude,
- 13:19two twenty five as many times as you can, that
- 13:22Ranger squad, nobody's even compete.
- 13:24Speaker 5: Skills competition, they would have dominated.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Yeah, real baseball games, though not great.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Not bad.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Close.
- 13:32Speaker 8: They're also pretty close to Dallas, so they're kind of
- 13:34built to disappoint.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Oh, for being honest, that's probably that's a fair point.
- 13:38Speaker 7: I mean, legit, but they I feel like they when
- 13:41I was they always lost first round to the.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Yankees every year. Yep. They had the pitching.
- 13:47Speaker 7: Kenny Rogers perfect game, A buddy, it was that that game. Anyway,
- 13:52No one cares. That's listening.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Uh yeah, they do talk about Rangers nineteen ninety five. Yeah,
- 13:57there might be somebody, maybe somebody I bet George up
- 14:00listening exactly should we get him on? Ye? Have you
- 14:06met him? Yeah? I met him. I met him. Probably
- 14:09listen and you did not get his digits?
- 14:11Speaker 7: Do you think he's Probably he is probably listening. So
- 14:14congrats listeners out there, you're listening with probably multiple former presidents.
- 14:19Speaker 4: And on that note, all right, so obviously we're very excited.
- 14:23It is a brand new show. It's no longer Flynn
- 14:27for once every other week to be here for an
- 14:30hour or back in the hanging with has Today's where
- 14:33you did show up every week for a couple of hours.
- 14:36It is every single day for three hours. I hope
- 14:39I didn't intimidate you too much right there. So we're excited.
- 14:43We wanted to celebrate. Great job. Flynn brought in gifts,
- 14:46had a poem, was ready to go. We are ready
- 14:49to go. When we come back, we'll break down what
- 14:51happened over the weekend. LSU baseball as we know, they
- 14:55have to play again today and we'll break it all
- 14:58down when we get back here on one four five
- 15:01ESPN batterers off the bench, all right, Go to go

- 16:08Speaker 4: Can legendation in our own mind? John le Jones, are
- 16:18you saying legend like you're the only one up here and.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Write these Let the records state that I did not
- 16:25write any of these rejoins, not.
- 16:28Speaker 6: One of them.
- 16:29Speaker 4: All right, great song, it's a great song.
- 16:33Speaker 5: So like, what's the how do you pick your music? Themes?
- 16:41Speaker 3: R and B thursdaysays, but like it's the vibe that
- 16:45I feel. But then like I keep it on that
- 16:48that vibe.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Yeah, she's not gonna go like Usher to raging its
- 16:54machine to h O A R like you like. I mean,
- 17:00that's what I'm saying. Like, it's just it's okay, I
- 17:02wasn't a shot. I'm saying. No, it's gonna be a
- 17:04common theme now for the rest of the show. I mean,
- 17:07our is just you know, pleasant music there, they're good.
- 17:10Speaker 5: That's not like us.
- 17:11Speaker 4: I just that's one of the ones that like in college,
- 17:13I remember you, you know, getting out the CD buklet
- 17:17and flipping and flipping and finding like a burnt oar.
- 17:20Speaker 5: C not like a obviously not a bot C D.
- 17:25Speaker 4: No, that thing was right.
- 17:26Speaker 6: So we're going to rate his Uh, you only had
- 17:29like fifteen seconds or two.
- 17:30Speaker 4: I think I got maybe like on the next one.
- 17:33On the next one, I'm going ahead. Let you know,
- 17:36let's get Gordon. So get your mind right, because I'm
- 17:39giving you longer like I gave you seven seconds there.
- 17:42Now we're going to go at least twelve. Let's keep
- 17:44it under ten. Let's go at least twelve. Give me
- 17:48twelve twelve seconds, twelve seconds, all right, right, we need
- 17:51to get a clock. We have a giant one right there,
- 17:54and a Landra does a great job.
- 17:55Speaker 5: Okay, get Gordon so amazing.
- 17:56Speaker 4: We don't even need it, Like I just want to
- 17:59blow yourself. No, you just said no, you have to
- 18:03do that. You have to do that, just like we
- 18:05got to talk about LSU baseball. Let's go. Last night,
- 18:09they dropped the game ten to four too Little Rock. Now,
- 18:12as we know, on Friday they get the victory over
- 18:15Little Rock seven to nothing. On Saturday, a great game,
- 18:18they take care of DBU twelve to nothing, and so
- 18:22last night you're feeling good. I was like I was
- 18:24in the number. The box was great, the box was ready,
- 18:28like they wanted a big hit, a big moment, and
- 18:31you could just feel it. And it was one of
- 18:32those times that when you go there, you're just waiting
- 18:35for the top to just blow off of that place,
- 18:38right And unfortunately, as we all know, LSU just never
- 18:41gave them that. They had the bases loaded a couple
- 18:44of times, didn't do anything with it, and so you
- 18:47fall to Little Rock ten to four last night. And
- 18:50it was a late game. I mean I looked up
- 18:52it was like in the fifth inning, top of the
- 18:55fifth and it was like ten forty five, and we
- 18:57had all the kids out there, and I knew that
- 18:59I had work pretty soon. I was like, we got
- 19:02to get out of here.
- 19:04Speaker 6: Third inning was forever forever.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Like I left the I left the stadium during the
- 19:11bottom of the third inning, got home, took a shower,
- 19:14and it was.
- 19:14Speaker 6: Still the bottom of the third inning. When I got
- 19:16in bed, I was like, what is happening?
- 19:19Speaker 4: A lot of a lot of you know, mound visits,
- 19:21a lot of walks, yeah, eleven to be exact. For
- 19:25the LSU Tigers and Elandra, how many times have we
- 19:30sat here over the last couple of months. And the
- 19:32one thing now, I know the offense can go quiet
- 19:34some but the one thing that we talked about you
- 19:38couldn't do. You gotta fix, you can't have it was
- 19:40the free passes by the pitching staff. And obviously the
- 19:45first two games you hold them scoreless, you've done great.
- 19:48But that is the one thing. And look else, she's
- 19:50playing for their lives today or tonight. It's gonna be
- 19:53another late game, eight pm Central time, first pitch. That's
- 19:57the thing that can keep them out of a.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Super regional and on I was telling you all this
- 20:01before the game started. I feel like in that bottom
- 20:04of the third inning, Jay kind of saw the riding
- 20:06on the wall and that's why we didn't see Cowen
- 20:09or Evans out there yesterday, and we're probably gonna see
- 20:12him today. Maybe Evans gets to start. I don't know,
- 20:14but yeah, I mean, you can't give up eleven walks,
- 20:18and that's just I think it was a season high
- 20:21that LSU has given up eleven walks.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Now, like this isn't I'm not all the umpires. You
- 20:26lost ten to four, Okay, you lost the game. The
- 20:29zone was never identified by the homeplate umpire of what
- 20:32it was going to be.
- 20:33Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't disagree with that at all.
- 20:35Speaker 4: No, I mean, so that's all you have to do,
- 20:37even if it's a big zone. You just got to
- 20:39tell me what the zone is. Right.
- 20:40Speaker 7: I watched a lot I had baseball like on all weekend,
- 20:44like different games throughout the country. I felt like most
- 20:47of the games I was watching, the strike zone was
- 20:49super super tight. I don't know if it's been like
- 20:51that like all season, because I'm not gonna sit here
- 20:53in this chair and pretend like I've been like the
- 20:54biggest baseball guy, right, but we're watching Yeah, but I
- 20:57do know the mindset of athletes, and I do know,
- 20:59like from a thrower's perspective, like what can really happen
- 21:04when stuff isn't going your way? And sometimes things snowball,
- 21:09like when you're a quarterback and you're you're out there throwing,
- 21:11like sometimes like the wide open guy is the hardest
- 21:14person to hit because like it's a throw you're supposed
- 21:15to be, yeah, and you start.
- 21:17Speaker 5: To aim it.
- 21:18Speaker 7: Sometimes when you throw a bunch of incomplete passes or
- 21:20in or something like, your confidence goes down and you
- 21:22try to guide the ball, you try to push it,
- 21:24like you try to make things happen instead of just
- 21:26like reacting, competing and letting the body and your practice
- 21:29take over. It's the same thing on any type of thrower, kicker, swinger.
- 21:34So you're pitching and things aren't going your way, you
- 21:36have to have some sort of reset.
- 21:40Speaker 5: But sometimes you're just you're just chasing out there, right, so.
- 21:44Speaker 7: You get a couple walks, even if it wasn't you,
- 21:46Even if you're in the bullpen and you know that
- 21:49your guys in front of you have eight walks so far,
- 21:52it's like, all right, I'm going to the mound.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Do not walk. Do not walk.
- 21:56Speaker 7: You never want to have that mindset right. It's like
- 21:58going as a quarterback going to say, do not throw
- 22:01an interception like that is a terrible way to play sports,
- 22:04and that mindset translates to any sport really, so hit reset.
- 22:09Yeah you got for some reason, they're playing at eight
- 22:12pm tonight, so what are we doing? So like you
- 22:16got hours, Like, so get your mind right, get the
- 22:18confidence up, do something like it's this is where the
- 22:22mindset of a championship caliber team is supposed to make
- 22:29the difference between a you know, a mediocre team. Yeah,
- 22:32so obviously we're not mediocre, but like it says, this
- 22:35is where you you got to reset.
- 22:36Speaker 5: You got to come out and be.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Confident and you can't allow like I saw it in
- 22:40Gosh every like anybody that covers college baseball, like on Instagram,
- 22:44like shocking college baseball, You're not gonna believe what happens,
- 22:47Like what And then like I'd get in the comments
- 22:49and be like this is like a sixteen beating one.
- 22:52I'm like, no, it's not baseball.
- 22:55Speaker 6: I mean number team in the country.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, four four seeds one on opening day.
- 23:04Speaker 4: Yeah, so it's baseball. And the thing about baseball is
- 23:08you got a chance to come right back. It's not
- 23:10like football. It's not like Damn, I gotta wait till
- 23:13next Sunday. Are you kidding me? No, Let's you get
- 23:15the opportunity right now. And I think having Evans and
- 23:20Cowen and where you're not gonna find, like there's a
- 23:24lot of teams playing today right to go to super Regional,
- 23:26you're not going to find many that have those three
- 23:28arms available for them today.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Right.
- 23:31Speaker 4: Certainly the two in Evanson.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Cowen right and Little Rock has played a lot of games,
- 23:35yeah for sure, and they won't be yeah game.
- 23:40Speaker 4: They scored forty runs in the last three days.
- 23:43Speaker 6: That was crazy. To ten over Rhode Island. That was crazy.
- 23:47Speaker 5: You're gonna have the pigeon advantage.
- 23:48Speaker 8: My bigger concern was the fourth and fifth starters for
- 23:52this team held you to four runs yesterday.
- 23:54Speaker 4: That was that's not that because the speeds and and
- 23:58that's we've seen that so many times now. You got
- 24:00to adjust to it. It's gonna be the same today.
- 24:02It's Dallas bad.
- 24:03Speaker 8: This unfortunately has been the outlier for this team, not
- 24:06the four runs against Little Rock.
- 24:07Speaker 5: But you know, I was looking at the box.
- 24:09Speaker 8: Score a little bit last night before the game. Uh,
- 24:12and then this morning obviously after the game finished. Stephen
- 24:16Mylam is six for eight with four RBS and four
- 24:19runs scored in this regional. Like, that's a guy that
- 24:22we had talked about, like, oh, you're going to get
- 24:24it from Kuriel, You're hopefully going to get it from Dickens.
- 24:27Speaker 6: And you can stop up to Stephen.
- 24:29Speaker 8: Mylam Like Stephen Mylum six for eight, four RB i
- 24:31s in the in this regional so far, that's a
- 24:33guy you have to have.
- 24:34Speaker 5: Like, I get it.
- 24:35Speaker 8: You're pitching one and grade last night, the hitting one grade,
- 24:37but like mya has been a bright spot.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Yeah, no doubt about it. And look, we're gonna continue
- 24:41talking baseball. If we don't have a guess, it's gonna
- 24:44probably be L s U baseball today and we're gonna
- 24:47break down. That's that's fair, that's teasing.
- 24:52Speaker 7: Yeah, you say, there's one pretty simple key to it,
- 24:54all right, and we'll get to that later.
- 24:55Speaker 4: But when we come back, we're going to be joined
- 24:58by our former coach. It's Jim Fisher right here on

- 26:20How you doing?
- 26:21Speaker 9: What's up? Guys?
- 26:22Speaker 4: Can you believe that I got Matthew Clayton Flynn up
- 26:26before seven am?
- 26:28Speaker 9: It's umbelid, That's what I said.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I was worried. You said you had that early show.
- 26:31I said, is he going to show up halfway through?
- 26:32Speaker 9: Or what's to do?
- 26:33Speaker 2: I was.
- 26:33Speaker 7: I was an extremely accomplished sleeper in college. I think
- 26:36when there's one time I slept about fifteen straight hours.
- 26:39Speaker 5: Uh, Jack Richie couldn't even track it.
- 26:42Speaker 9: I remember it was funny. I remember that he's say
- 26:45used to sleep all the time. That's why I was.
- 26:48I did that to ask for he was laughing at me.
- 26:49Speaker 5: Never in meetings though. No, it was.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Time when it was time to go now right, there's
- 26:54no doubt about that.
- 26:55Speaker 9: There's no doubt about that coach.
- 26:57Speaker 4: We were talking last week with Flynn before he's are
- 27:00to I think I got to ask you the question,
- 27:02how did you recruit an honorable mention? All district quarterback
- 27:07in the in the district that only had four teams,
- 27:09and the guy was honorable mention.
- 27:11Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you one of the funniest stories you're
- 27:13ever going to hear. This is honest, God's truth. We
- 27:17go and his this is how because Matt, Matt's one
- 27:20of the most accomplished I mean a guy that who
- 27:24he did.
- 27:24Speaker 9: What he did in high school really impressed me because.
- 27:27Speaker 2: If I'm not right, Matt, but your junior year you
- 27:29spent time with another.
- 27:31Speaker 7: Guy I did halfway through your junior year to halfway
- 27:37through your junior year.
- 27:38Speaker 9: After got six games, he made the decision.
- 27:40Speaker 2: The kid was a great athlete because you had had
- 27:42a bunch of schools come to you and say, hey,
- 27:43transfer here, you don't have to put up with it,
- 27:45and you got mad with all your other sports, said nope,
- 27:48I'm gonna be the starting quarterback and went and won
- 27:51the job.
- 27:52Speaker 9: So he only played a little bit. So we we
- 27:55did a.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Great We searched and searched, and so I'm watching all
- 27:58this film and they put this film in front of me.
- 28:01I remember I got the film and I watched and
- 28:03I said, I really liked it, and they said, well, Jim,
- 28:05this guy he hain't hardly ever played the only started
- 28:08sixt game. We need to slow down. I said, well,
- 28:11there's a that's at the time when those combines the coaches.
- 28:15Speaker 9: Could go to them. And there was a combine at
- 28:18A and M.
- 28:19Speaker 2: And Derrek Duley had that part of Houston and that there,
- 28:23and there was a combine at A and M.
- 28:25Speaker 9: And so Matt was going to be at that Nike combine.
- 28:29I think it was not. I believe it, am I right, Matt,
- 28:32that's right, all right.
- 28:33Speaker 2: So we get back and I said, this guy's under
- 28:35the radar, Derk, but go why this he runs? Well,
- 28:37he's athletic days they don't throw it a lot because
- 28:40your coach, I remember, he was.
- 28:41Speaker 7: From Louisiana, two lane offensive lineman.
- 28:45Speaker 9: Yep, and that's what he wanted to do, run the football.
- 28:49Speaker 2: And y'all had to end up having a great team
- 28:50because y'all flipped around and won a couple of state
- 28:52championships after that. But anyway, so that so I said,
- 28:55just go look at this guy. I just want to
- 28:57This is a guy that made sneak under the radar
- 28:59that just we could get in on. I when we
- 29:00were on everybody in the country. But I said, I
- 29:02like this guy as well as anybody. So Derek, Derek's
- 29:06a young coach. Derek goes to the combine and and
- 29:10Derek used to come up with some of the craziest
- 29:12reasons to like a guy or not like a guy.
- 29:15And so he comes back and he said, you know,
- 29:17well he you know, he's not overly tall.
- 29:19Speaker 9: He was about six to one at that time.
- 29:21Speaker 2: I right, Mattes, that sounds and so he said he's
- 29:24not really you know, but he said he moved pretty well.
- 29:27But he said this is this now, he said, Jim,
- 29:29but I just didn't like him, and he said.
- 29:30Speaker 9: He got he had fat ankles. He said he had
- 29:34fat ankle.
- 29:35Speaker 2: We all, you know, most of your athletes have skinny ankles,
- 29:38you know what I mean.
- 29:38Speaker 9: He said he had fat ankles, and he was okay,
- 29:41but just I said, this kind of downplayed him. And
- 29:44I said, dang, that's not what you know.
- 29:46Speaker 2: I said, oh, you know, of course, I said, okay, Derek,
- 29:48you were there, you saw him in person. So this
- 29:51was probably around March February or March, and I said,
- 29:56you know, that just doesn't sound I mean, I didn't
- 29:58match that. You know, later on I was you know,
- 30:01I get so thorough on things. Our check, recheck, rewatch
- 30:04film and go watch. I watch a player ten times
- 30:06because sometimes you're in the wrong moved you get a
- 30:08different impression of a guy, you know what I mean.
- 30:10Or if you had something on your mind, you'll watch
- 30:11a guy sometimes you evaluate or so I try to
- 30:14do it multiple times to be very thorough. So I
- 30:17go back and I watch the film and I said,
- 30:19what Derek said don't match up with this film.
- 30:22Speaker 9: I said, I love this guy. I said, there's something
- 30:24about this guy.
- 30:25Speaker 2: So of course then you couldn't get nick if you
- 30:28went something when you went with him, if you didn't
- 30:30have your is dotted and teased crawl and you took
- 30:32him recruiting okay, and he went in. He was only
- 30:35going in for the kill, you know what I mean.
- 30:37Back then, he was going in to see the school
- 30:39bang bang bang bang bang. So I got to find
- 30:41a way to get him to go by this school
- 30:44without knowing that it's somebody we don't like. If I
- 30:48bring up in the meeting, Dary's gonna say jam about
- 30:50I saw that guy and he had fat angle that conversation.
- 30:55Speaker 9: Okay, so I can't.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Remember how we did it, but there was another guy
- 30:59in that area that was getting crew died.
- 31:00Speaker 9: And I said, and we're out there.
- 31:01Speaker 2: And I think Kirk Dahl was with us at the
- 31:03time too, because he had the area and.
- 31:06Speaker 9: The position guys.
- 31:07Speaker 2: So I said, so somehow I get us to I said, Kurt,
- 31:09we got to go by this school. So we go by,
- 31:11and we go by Tyler, not John Tyler, because John
- 31:15Tyler at that time was the school that was Earl
- 31:17Campbell went to school, and then Aaron.
- 31:18Speaker 9: And Ross and all those guys, and.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Your district was the number one district in the state
- 31:24of Texas. He had loved and John Tyler, y'all and
- 31:27I who else long View, I mean, everybody whoever won
- 31:32the state championship all come out of that deal.
- 31:34Speaker 9: Y'all had won like two. Y'all were the lesser school.
- 31:39Speaker 5: That time.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, I remember that. And so we go by
- 31:44and and and we went in and talked to the
- 31:46coach and the next looking side eyed at me. And
- 31:49sometime back then I was the only one that could
- 31:51say something.
- 31:51Speaker 9: I used to mean.
- 31:52Speaker 2: We we battled it, and I would stand up to
- 31:54him every now, and it'd been in a good way.
- 31:55Nick was so thorough. I don't mean that in a
- 31:57bad way. So he goes, okay, I'll go watch this guy.
- 32:00Speaker 9: We go in there.
- 32:00Speaker 2: We talked to the coach and he said, and I said,
- 32:02you know, but y'all didn't throw it a lot, so
- 32:04it's hard to judge you. So I'll tell you what
- 32:05I'll throw it today. You don't had a scrimmage. I
- 32:08don't know if you remember this or not. We're there
- 32:11in the spring. So we come in and y'all scrimmage
- 32:14that day and y'all threw like twenty five passes. He
- 32:16threw like twenty five passes, and the scrimmage bang bang bang,
- 32:21Matt completes like twenty four of them. Yeah, he's running
- 32:24around making plays and he's throwing the ball all over.
- 32:27Speaker 9: And you know, Nick come over to me. He looked
- 32:28at me.
- 32:29Speaker 2: He says, youmo, this guy's a really good But I said,
- 32:32I told you he's a really good player.
- 32:34Speaker 9: He said, why didn't we do that?
- 32:35Speaker 2: I said, because Derek said he had fat and he
- 32:38didn't look bad at he did. You know, he wasn't
- 32:41nothing special. And I'll never forget this. I'll never forget this.
- 32:45He says, Get Derek on the phone. He told me,
- 32:48he said, get Derek on the phone. We're stand there
- 32:50watching the scrimmage. So I called Derek up. I said, hey,
- 32:52Nick wants to talk to you. Nick grabbed the phone.
- 32:55He said, hey, Derek, don't you ever recruit or nothing.
- 32:57Don't you ever evaluate another corter. This guy looks like
- 33:00on the United is running around here.
- 33:02Speaker 9: He showed every ball crazy. He looking good, Derek Golton.
- 33:06I get the phone back and I'm laughing like crazy.
- 33:08You know how to Yeah, you get the phone back
- 33:11and I'm laughing like crazy. I'm laughing like I said.
- 33:15Fat Akos Huh said he wasn't a girl.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Derek was laughing like crazy, and so we that we
- 33:25still he can't do then there and then Matt came
- 33:28to camp that summer and lit it up, and we
- 33:30offered him. Matter of fact, I mean we that was
- 33:32a really good recruiting year that year quarterback, I said,
- 33:34but I love Mathma and he committed. He was the
- 33:36first one that committed that Yearhen we signed him and
- 33:37JaMarcus and but it was and he played his tail
- 33:40off and no matter what, and I knew he was
- 33:42gonna be a great just I don't just evaluation.
- 33:44Speaker 9: We saw it.
- 33:45Speaker 2: I'm not trying to say we saw everything in the world,
- 33:47but he did it on film. He just didn't have
- 33:49a lot of opportunities in your senior year. I remember
- 33:51the tragic story to you all season, y'all had one
- 33:53of the best years you ever had, and you're on
- 33:55the state semi finals. Yeah, all drive in a two
- 33:59minute drive. I don't know who you were playing. You're
- 34:01down around the ten yard line, ten fifteen yard line,
- 34:03you walk, you're going in the score and win the game.
- 34:06And you walked up to make a check and your
- 34:08center snapped the ball about thirty yards backers like che
- 34:12am I right around.
- 34:13Speaker 4: I hope he's not listening right now. I hope he is.
- 34:15Speaker 5: What doing is good?
- 34:16Speaker 4: The ball? The quarterback?
- 34:17Speaker 9: No, I know not. I mean I said it happened
- 34:19to our guys.
- 34:20Speaker 2: You were making a check and not a lot of
- 34:21people did all the shotgun y'all, And that was a
- 34:23little new for y'all too, I mean for doing. And
- 34:25then because y'a were going in to win, to go
- 34:27into the state championship and you lost it, and then
- 34:29After that, your team won a couple of state championships
- 34:31and became a great team.
- 34:32Speaker 9: But Matt started that whole trend, and.
- 34:34Speaker 2: This thing about it was amazing to me though you
- 34:36only you split time as at junior and then only
- 34:39played half the time, and he had the great scene.
- 34:40Then everybody started recruiting after the senior year, of course,
- 34:43and he stuck with us and the rest is history.
- 34:46But it was to me it was a testament to
- 34:48who you were as a person. That's the kind of
- 34:49guy you wanted to play quarterback. Every time a guy
- 34:51got tested or challenged, he wasn't going to back down.
- 34:54And you know, I'll say that both y'all were like that.
- 34:57I know why y'all are friends. In my opinion, you're
- 35:00very similar people because you both weren't high, high recruited
- 35:04guys earlier in your careers. You weren't the five star guys.
- 35:07You turned out to be five star guys the way
- 35:09you played, the way you think, and and somebody asked
- 35:11me that not too long ago, and I said, you know,
- 35:13the one thing about those LSU teams, we recruited really well.
- 35:15Speaker 9: There had a lot of five star guys, but.
- 35:18Speaker 2: We so many of our great players weren't the highly
- 35:22rated guys that turned out to be just as good
- 35:24or better than the five star guys and developed yourself.
- 35:27You two, Corey, Webster, Blue Gay, I mean, Travis Daniels.
- 35:32There was guys on those teams. I can go on
- 35:34and on and on that were not highly recruited guys
- 35:37that turned out to play in the NFL a long time.
- 35:39And we're great player, great players in college and great
- 35:41pros that also fit in with those guys. And we're
- 35:44even tougher and you know, and we had a mentality
- 35:47on that team, and you guys were the key to
- 35:49a big part of that.
- 35:51Speaker 4: To that point.
- 35:52Speaker 7: Jimbo the you talked about instincts and recruiting back when
- 35:57when Jake and I were coming out this day in
- 36:00age in college football, he was.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Playing nose guard when I went wat tractic.
- 36:03Speaker 5: He's a little fat boy.
- 36:06Speaker 7: Do you think like this day in age in college football,
- 36:08is there less instincts in recruiting because there's so many
- 36:12different services you got to recruit. You got to recruit
- 36:14the players that are on your roster, and you're recruiting
- 36:16other people in other colleges.
- 36:17Speaker 5: Plus high school is it well.
- 36:19Speaker 9: When here when here's the other thing about it. As
- 36:22soon as you get one and.
- 36:24Speaker 2: He starts to play now and and they and they,
- 36:26if they don't go to a major school, they're going
- 36:29to get I gues said, everybody else is a juco
- 36:31for everybody. You're gonna go get bought and taken away
- 36:33from that school. The guys that do go do a
- 36:35great job of that. And it's it's it's hard to
- 36:37hold on to it. And I tell you what's happened today.
- 36:40Guys are picking guys and they're trying to buy guys.
- 36:43I mean I say by guys as a term because
- 36:46it's about the money instead of all the time and
- 36:48effort that goes into evaluating that process and recruiting that.
- 36:52Speaker 9: Guy with the relationship. You know what I mean.
- 36:55Speaker 2: It is it's definitely changed, and it's a it's a
- 36:58I mean far as that part of it, it's a shame.
- 37:00And you know, and some of those that's why I
- 37:02pity some of these other schools. And I even say this,
- 37:04if you're not in the SEC or Big ten. Now
- 37:07maybe Clemson, Florida State, some of these other you know,
- 37:10there may be a Big twelve team or two in there,
- 37:12but everybody else is a juco to SEC and Big
- 37:15ten teams because they got all the money and they
- 37:19can go select and pick those guys and take them
- 37:21away once they do evaluate them and get them in
- 37:23that process. But I do think a little bit of
- 37:25that has left, in my opinion, college football, and guys
- 37:28are going around not spending as much time building relationships
- 37:31as they are saying, well, here's four hundred and five
- 37:33hundred whatever the value. That's just the nature of the beast.
- 37:36The whole world's changed. And it's a shame, it really is,
- 37:39because I used to love that part of it. I
- 37:42mean a lot of those guys happen to be guys
- 37:44that I recruited, Randall and Corey Webster, and the Corey
- 37:47Webster story is crazy. I don't know if you ever
- 37:49heard that one. I was sitting there one time. I
- 37:51was sitting there watching We've been There. It was January.
- 37:53We just goten there in December to get the job.
- 37:56And I'm sitting there watching the film and Nick said,
- 37:58there's a receiver down in Saint John. I don't remember
- 38:02who it was, and he says, the really.
- 38:04Speaker 9: Good player watch this film. So I'm in there watching it.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Somebody walked in in the staff room and off of
- 38:10the staff room and talked to him, and I took
- 38:11my friend because when the other team was on offense,
- 38:12I would hit the fast forward button to go watch
- 38:14this player, because you're watching so many and I took
- 38:16my finger off the button and I'm sitting there and.
- 38:24Speaker 9: Somebody said something.
- 38:25Speaker 2: So I wanted to look, and I went to hit
- 38:26the button and I missed it and the fast forward button.
- 38:29Speaker 9: As I did.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Corey ran around the corner for about fifteen yards, just
- 38:32on a run. But he made two guys miss and
- 38:34looked just really fluid, and I said, dang. So I
- 38:37started watching it. Get down with the film. Nick says, hey,
- 38:40how's that receiver. I said, he's a good player. I said,
- 38:42there's a quarterback down here to Saint James.
- 38:44Speaker 9: It's a heck. He said, what do you know about him?
- 38:45I said, I don't know.
- 38:47Speaker 2: I said, I never heard of him. Said we'll call
- 38:48down there. So I called down there and I said,
- 38:51they said, yeah, Corey Webster is a great player. I
- 38:53said he's got one offer and I said really, I said, man,
- 38:55he looked a lot better than that on film. He said,
- 38:57he's going to Southern miss I said, Dad gone, So
- 39:00I said, well is there?
- 39:01Speaker 9: I said, does he not have enough up?
- 39:02Speaker 4: Well?
- 39:02Speaker 9: Maybe great? You know, I mean that guy didn't have grades.
- 39:04Does he not have grades? Now? I said, has he
- 39:06been in? And then he said, now he's got you know,
- 39:07he's got grades. I says, he is?
- 39:09Speaker 2: He a troubled guys he get in trouble. You know,
- 39:11maybe he's been in trouble and people don't character you
- 39:13know all the is I went through it.
- 39:14Speaker 9: I want to say, what the hell he said?
- 39:15Speaker 4: I don't know?
- 39:16Speaker 2: So I told her he So we go down there
- 39:18and start recruiting him. And that was two weeks before
- 39:20signing guys.
- 39:21Speaker 9: Yeah, and signed Wow and signed him.
- 39:23Speaker 2: I mean when he came at two time all Americans
- 39:26played thirteen years in the leg or fourteen years and
- 39:29two through three Pro.
- 39:29Speaker 9: Bowls and Super super Bowls.
- 39:31Speaker 2: I mean, we that's the way Randall gay, I mean,
- 39:33all those guys are recruited like it was crazy.
- 39:35Speaker 9: You could find guys like that. I don't know if
- 39:36it's like that.
- 39:37Speaker 4: Coach, Yeah, want to ask you that we got about
- 39:39three minutes left. I wanted to ask you, can you
- 39:41recruit that guy anymore, like do I get an offer?
- 39:44Does Flynn get an offer from an LSU, from a
- 39:46Florida State, from a Texas A and M. Because it
- 39:49almost feels like you can't stand up on top of
- 39:51the table and fight for that two star, that three
- 39:54star guy, because now that the first to somebody else.
- 39:59Speaker 2: I I think it got back to the coach in
- 40:01Florida State had over half of our first round picks
- 40:05were three starring down guys right during my time at
- 40:08Florida said many great players we recruited when I was there,
- 40:10half of them.
- 40:10Speaker 9: Were three star guys.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Then we developed guys and small guys that we thought
- 40:14fit in our system and did that. We never recruited
- 40:16by the stars. And I think you can if the
- 40:19coach is strong enough and in his own mind to
- 40:22do it. And because it's all gonna get back to
- 40:24one thing. That's a guy can't produce and does he
- 40:26develop on the field, you know what I mean? The
- 40:27development parts the other thing. We're a guy in needs
- 40:29development and he starts to get passed up a little bit,
- 40:33you know what I mean? And you're going to miss
- 40:35guys too, I mean coaches, we knows a lot of
- 40:36guys I missed too. I mean, I'm talking about success stories.
- 40:39But beyond Warner was one for us at Floridas, there
- 40:41was a bunch of them, Xavier Roads. Then we're all
- 40:43three starring guys in that we're all first round picks.
- 40:45Speaker 9: There's a lot more of them.
- 40:46Speaker 2: But to me, it depends on the program and the
- 40:49coach and how much he believes in his own own system.
- 40:53Speaker 4: Coach, we could sit here and actually we're gonna ask
- 40:57that you come back on like later on. This is
- 40:59our first show together, so we certainly wanted to have
- 41:01you on. You know, obviously our relationship with you, like,
- 41:04I want to have you back on here pretty soon
- 41:07to tell the story about around the Horn, how you
- 41:09saw it. We ran it in the Superdome, we ran
- 41:11it at LSU, and JaMarcus didn't throw the football like,
- 41:15oh god, oh god, was it wide open? Women?
- 41:18Speaker 9: It was wide open?
- 41:19Speaker 4: It was wide over. Coach, you truly are the best man.
- 41:22You did so much for me, for Matt in our careers.
- 41:24You played us and put us in positions when a
- 41:27lot of other people probably wouldn't. So I can't thank
- 41:30you enough. I enjoyed doing radio with the Over on
- 41:32serious XM every Tuesday there in football season. That was
- 41:35a lot of fun.
- 41:36Speaker 7: And I just want to say that I would never
- 41:39have been an LSU Tiger without Jimbo Fisher.
- 41:41Speaker 5: Yeah like that, y'all's.
- 41:42Speaker 7: Coaching stuff, Like coaches have a huge impact on individual people,
- 41:45but that whole coaching stuff, the impact you had on
- 41:47Louisiana because you turned a program that was not great
- 41:51into one of the biggest powerhouses in the country. What
- 41:53a special staff, special time that was for LSU fans
- 41:57and the economic the boost that the state and the
- 42:00pride factor, like you were a part of something big
- 42:03and you were one of the big, big reasons for that.
- 42:06And we love you and we thank you, and yeah,
- 42:08we we just appreciate the time this morning.
- 42:10Speaker 4: Absolutely, Well, what's.
- 42:11Speaker 9: The same here, guys.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Like I said, you guys, I respect you guys as
- 42:13much as any players I've ever coached.
- 42:15Speaker 9: And I mean that because I mean what you guys
- 42:17did and what you went about your business, how good
- 42:18you were. It's mutual here.
- 42:19Speaker 2: And it was a special time when when that thing
- 42:22flipped and we started winning, were the state Louisiana boomed
- 42:24off and it was as fun time as I've always
- 42:27consider myself a Louisian. I always liked the people and
- 42:30the people there, and it was it was such a
- 42:32great place, and you guys were a huge part of it.
- 42:34And my favorite guys is as good as I've ever coached.
- 42:36I mean that too, And I know this sound. I
- 42:38don't mean to get sentimental on all that craziness, but
- 42:40it was a fun time in your life as you
- 42:42look back, and were fortunate to have you guys.
- 42:44Speaker 9: That's for that.
- 42:45Speaker 5: Thanks for giving us coach ankle is a chance.
- 42:47Speaker 4: Yeah, we appreciated coaching.
- 42:51Speaker 9: Bad ankles.
- 42:52Speaker 4: All right, coach, have a good morning.
- 42:54Speaker 9: Coach. You two guys, great to be with you.
- 42:56Speaker 4: You as well. There he is Jimbo Fisher, our offensive
- 42:59coordinator when we were here at LSU. Of course, win
- 43:01a national championship at Florida State and let's take a break.
- 43:06But we I mean, the memory on Coach Jima Fisher
- 43:10is just it's I've never I've never been around somebody
- 43:14that can recall moments like that, So I want to
- 43:16break some of that down when we come back. It
- 43:19is OTB hero one O four five espn. Ben Rouge
- 43:23off the bench, all right, go to Boudros Electrical dot Com.
- 43:27That's Boudroxelectrical dot Com. Now, we've been telling you over
- 43:31the last couple of weeks and months, man, there there
- 43:34is not a worse time for your power to go
- 43:37out and for you not to have a backup plan.
- 43:40The last thing. Look, we've all been outside. The power
- 43:43goes out for whatever reason, and you're sitting there all right,
- 43:47and you and the family are in the hot box,
- 43:50and you don't have a whole home generator that automatically
- 43:53kicks on when that power goes out, you are certainly
- 43:55going to wish that you have Boudros in the team out. Now,

- 44:50I want to come back to some of that. What
- 44:52an incredible recruiting story with Flynn, uh with Cweb like
- 44:57one of the better players in LSU history. Just Jimbo
- 45:01happened to fast forward and kind of stop on the
- 45:03right the right play.
- 45:05Speaker 7: And how many people out there can remember what they
- 45:07did last month?
- 45:08Speaker 4: Not me?
- 45:09Speaker 7: The dude, Remember there was a bad snap in my
- 45:12semi final game.
- 45:12Speaker 4: You were changing by the It's correct what I'm telling you.
- 45:16Speaker 5: I was already committed to like I'm like, I wasn't
- 45:18like he was recruiting me.
- 45:19Speaker 4: He has the best football memory that I've ever ever seen,
- 45:22ever been around. He can tell you every single details,
- 45:25every he can the call the hash to everything. Incredible.
