- 3:22Speaker 3: about the expansion the boat we're talking about?
- 3:26Speaker 4: No?
- 3:27Speaker 3: Oh, are we talking about the youth directive?
- 3:29Speaker 2: No?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Are we talking about the interface that you can turn
- 3:32Speaker 1: your car into a way Mo close?
- 3:35Speaker 8: We're talking the creative initiative?
- 3:38Speaker 3: Oh? Oh, the the the meta glasses. No, no one
- 3:43Speaker 3: to c one beat under comic book is when are

- 4:06Speaker 10: It phonet on slock.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I can't wait.
- 4:21Speaker 5: Guys, we are making a Waymo movie. We are so excited,
- 4:25Speaker 5: so exciting. Cat is out of the Waimo and out
- 4:29Speaker 5: of the driver's seat as well. Because cats didn't drive
- 4:31Speaker 5: and they certainly aren't now, and.
- 4:33Speaker 3: They don't have to drive legally.
- 4:36Speaker 4: We are not saying you can let your cat drive
- 4:37Speaker 4: your car.
- 4:38Speaker 7: No.
- 4:38Speaker 1: You know what, if I'm monitoring the Waymos, I'll let
- 4:40Speaker 1: a cat in. If I just cat'll see where this goes.
- 4:44Speaker 1: You are out of I'm literally robbing and contagious. You
- 4:49Speaker 1: literally can't contain your.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Crabby Kray right now.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Anyway, So we made a movie, Well, we are working
- 4:56Speaker 4: on a movie and it's almost done.
- 4:59Speaker 3: You're Crabby Ray right now.
- 5:01Speaker 4: You're going rabies, You're going raby mode.
- 5:07Speaker 5: I think at the mouth out of that podcast, you're.
- 5:11Speaker 8: Acting so Cassie right.
- 5:14Speaker 4: In a genuine moment. Do you think this is listenable
- 5:17Speaker 4: at all? If you write you love.
- 5:23Speaker 3: This podcast, listen here's the disclaimer.
- 5:25Speaker 1: If you're having trouble listening to this, print it out,
- 5:28Speaker 1: read it instead.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Readscribe this.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Read the transcript Broke Broke Broke wrote, in all seriousness,
- 5:37Speaker 6: this podcast and the listeners at home might not be
- 5:40Speaker 6: used to our kind of vibe. I know they've done
- 5:43Speaker 6: a little bit of tech stuff, but we are we
- 5:47Speaker 6: are tech right.
- 5:48Speaker 4: So like we tech with a capital tea.
- 5:50Speaker 6: But we happen to be like the creatives in the
- 5:54Speaker 6: tech business. Like I'd say, like we're the ones at
- 5:56Speaker 6: lunch talking about our favorite movies and stuff, like we
- 5:59Speaker 6: are the perfect people for way Mode to make a movie.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Yeah, we like to be a lush fund of like
- 6:06Speaker 4: one point oh one point two point five billion dollars.
- 6:11Speaker 6: Yeah, it's just lush, But I'd say, like for more
- 6:13Speaker 6: normal people, they're probably not used to filmmakers like us
- 6:16Speaker 6: who are tech based.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Tech based filmmaking is a new state of the art entrepreneurship,
- 6:20Speaker 4: venture capitalist type of approach to media TM. We attack
- 6:24Speaker 4: it the way you would attack the stock market. We
- 6:26Speaker 4: come in, we disrupt with our movie ideas, and we
- 6:29Speaker 4: push it forward to make sure you can sive the
- 6:31Speaker 4: movie no matter what.
- 6:32Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 6:32Speaker 6: Like, but all that while also being obsessed with five
- 6:35Speaker 6: hundred days of Summer, like we love.
- 6:37Speaker 5: No like, and that's what got us into all of this.
- 6:40Speaker 5: The only difference between us and like your typical film
- 6:43Speaker 5: kid is like, we watched five hundred days of Summer
- 6:45Speaker 5: with kind of a different eye, right, because we're looking
- 6:47Speaker 5: at five hundred days of summer and going, what kind
- 6:49Speaker 5: of screen is this on? How can we make the
- 6:51Speaker 5: screen smaller then bigger than in your own mind? Then
- 6:55Speaker 5: decide things for the how the world works exactly.
- 6:58Speaker 1: And I'm also looking at five hundred days in summer
- 7:00Speaker 1: and saying I could have done this a lot faster.
- 7:03Speaker 3: I could have made this movie a minute and it
- 7:05Speaker 3: would have been just as effective.
- 7:06Speaker 5: It would have been just as good.
- 7:08Speaker 6: I don't think it would have been a perfect vertical.
- 7:09Speaker 6: I think it was before verticals.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Were out, a five part vertical where you hide the
- 7:13Speaker 4: fourth part.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I like my heart breaks for every filmmaker that didn't
- 7:18Speaker 1: get to shoot in verticals, Like it makes me so
- 7:22Speaker 1: sad that this medium is new, it's and so Spielberg
- 7:26Speaker 1: never got We never got to see a Spielbern vertical.
- 7:30Speaker 6: Honestly, I feel that way about our passengers. I feel
- 7:34Speaker 6: that way about old people trying to find their Uber drivers,
- 7:37Speaker 6: having old stupid Uber drivers take care of these old
- 7:40Speaker 6: people who are trying to get to the market. Meanwhile,
- 7:42Speaker 6: they could just be in a weymo. I feel that
- 7:44Speaker 6: way about kids on buses. Yeah, they could be in
- 7:47Speaker 6: a weymouth.
- 7:48Speaker 4: They could be in the path, like the driver's seat.
- 7:49Speaker 4: In a way, we're doing that.
- 7:50Speaker 6: To Hollywood, Like we're making Hollywood a better passenger experience.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Yeah, because there's.
- 7:54Speaker 5: So many inefficiencies going on, like and there's so many
- 7:57Speaker 5: even in like character development and all that, Like there
- 8:00Speaker 5: are so many scenes where characters are just talking to
- 8:03Speaker 5: each other and not delivering the plot points that are
- 8:07Speaker 5: like they're talking around the thing instead of just saying
- 8:11Speaker 5: what is happening?
- 8:12Speaker 3: Yeah, tell me the plot.
- 8:14Speaker 5: Tell it to me, plot, summarize the plot.
- 8:17Speaker 3: I then end the movie. I am on my phone,
- 8:20Speaker 3: tell me the plot.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Yes, like literally, Like that was my biggest gripe with
- 8:25Speaker 4: five hundred Days of Summer is like they kept on
- 8:27Speaker 4: fighting for that movie and I could not figure out
- 8:29Speaker 4: why they were fighting, just such they're dating.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Yeah they fight.
- 8:34Speaker 5: That's end of sentence. That took me two seconds to say.
- 8:36Speaker 6: I think it's like it's also taking the emotion out
- 8:38Speaker 6: of it, and I think like there's a lot of
- 8:40Speaker 6: power in doing that. I think that's why some of
- 8:42Speaker 6: our companies. That's why a lot of people are like,
- 8:44Speaker 6: it's surprised at how fast tech moves. And I think
- 8:47Speaker 6: it's because tech isn't crying or scared or nervous.
- 8:51Speaker 5: Yeah no, no, because you know what is drilled out
- 8:54Speaker 5: of you when you're working these nineteen hour days in
- 8:56Speaker 5: Silicon Valley. What fucking being a cry baby?
- 9:00Speaker 4: Cassie cast Literally, you cannot cry.
- 9:05Speaker 3: You'll fry the server, dude, capital d Yeah, dude.
- 9:09Speaker 5: If you have, it would be huge.
- 9:12Speaker 4: Cassie.
- 9:15Speaker 5: King Kong, like swiping over buildings like I would try
- 9:18Speaker 5: and go to the bathroom and like literally wipe out
- 9:20Speaker 5: half of New.
- 9:21Speaker 1: York City's so big it's not even nice.
- 9:25Speaker 5: Yeah, I'd be like, oh, I actually am a little
- 9:27Speaker 5: afraid of this. I maybe will be.
- 9:29Speaker 4: A burden for you.
- 9:33Speaker 5: One of those people who's like, actually, my dick is
- 9:35Speaker 5: too big, like one of the few people who can
- 9:37Speaker 5: actually say that.
- 9:38Speaker 6: You say, like, I'm a third or fourth thinging about me.
- 9:41Speaker 4: That's all right, it's all right, it's okay, it's all right.
- 9:44Speaker 4: It's hard to imagine.
- 9:45Speaker 8: It's crazy.
- 9:45Speaker 6: It's just hard to imagine. Like you're just motherfucker dude.
- 9:48Speaker 6: You're out in the streets. You one that was like listen,
- 9:50Speaker 6: put us in, put us in. Yeah, yeah, put us in.
- 9:54Speaker 5: And this is why we were like because I would say,
- 9:56Speaker 5: we're the class clowns of Silicon Valley, right, Oh my gosh,
- 10:00Speaker 5: we have capital capital creative is I think the third
- 10:04Speaker 5: sea in class cloud closet class.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Just remembering one of the funniest things we ever did,
- 10:11Speaker 1: that's five seas.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Do you remember when we wore green wigs to that.
- 10:18Speaker 9: Galaude Stop Stop Lyle Stop said we wouldn't talk about
- 10:23Speaker 9: that because that was so fun.
- 10:26Speaker 6: The amount of mother fucking adderall I found at the
- 10:31Speaker 6: rathon event.
- 10:33Speaker 1: They were giving it out, was giving out like, well,
- 10:37Speaker 1: I think you know.
- 10:38Speaker 5: What I heard about that is that they were testing
- 10:40Speaker 5: a new kind of aderall that the military was testing
- 10:43Speaker 5: a new kind of adderall.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Thank god, thank god, I've got all.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Thank god they're trying to perfect that.
- 10:52Speaker 8: There's that adderall shortage. Like, yeah, bro, you guys were trying,
- 10:57Speaker 8: you had it.
- 10:57Speaker 6: I can tell when people are working on a newer
- 11:01Speaker 6: device and working on another system.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Yeah, that's all that.
- 11:03Speaker 4: That's Craig's kind of magic power is like whenever we
- 11:06Speaker 4: see some sort of shortage or like a stock thing,
- 11:08Speaker 4: Craig goes like, let me tell you what's actually happening.
- 11:10Speaker 6: Literally yeah, and and like that's just good market, right,
- 11:13Speaker 6: that's just like seeing it and like taking it away.
- 11:15Speaker 8: So then you hit it fat in the face with
- 11:18Speaker 8: a new.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Product, dude, like a fucking penis, Like.
- 11:21Speaker 5: A fucking penis kind of like.
- 11:23Speaker 8: Like this is tech, guys, this is this is how
- 11:26Speaker 8: we talk.
- 11:26Speaker 3: And like we talk.
- 11:27Speaker 5: We should introduce ourselves.
- 11:31Speaker 6: About your favorite movie because I know we all love
- 11:32Speaker 6: having summer, and I think they'll understand us as filmmakers.
- 11:35Speaker 6: If we also say, like what we do in tech,
- 11:37Speaker 6: our name and our favorite movie, that's awesome.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Great, that's maybe what we were doing on the way
- 11:41Speaker 1: Away Movie Ahead you have to start stop.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Dude starts in command. What's up? What's up?
- 11:52Speaker 4: My name is Arthur de Lamico. I favorite movie besides
- 11:59Speaker 4: is Transform three, And yeah, I actually kind of run
- 12:04Speaker 4: a lot of the script work and kind of the
- 12:06Speaker 4: creative Like I'm kind of like the big guy, Like
- 12:09Speaker 4: I'm kind of like writing as much as I can
- 12:11Speaker 4: through Claude, through chatchybt, like really busting out this movie
- 12:14Speaker 4: as quickly as we can.
- 12:15Speaker 3: You're putting them against each other, and it's so exciting.
- 12:18Speaker 4: It's fun to make them compete.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Yeah, we're not using one AI to make this movie.
- 12:21Speaker 5: We're using all of them, well, using all staff of writing.
- 12:25Speaker 8: Like, hey, Claude, do you want to be in this movie?
- 12:27Speaker 8: Then five for yourself?
- 12:28Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 12:29Speaker 4: I said, well, Chatchabet said this should be a good scene.
- 12:32Speaker 4: How do you feel about that? Claude, And they go,
- 12:34Speaker 4: it's like kind of scary. Actually sometimes what I make
- 12:37Speaker 4: them say to each other anyway, that's like my thing,
- 12:40Speaker 4: Like I'm kind of like the big idea guy and
- 12:42Speaker 4: the guy who knows how to work the AI pretty well.
- 12:44Speaker 8: Yeah, incredible, that's incredible.
- 12:46Speaker 3: What's up?
- 12:46Speaker 8: I'm Greg Craig.
- 12:48Speaker 6: I I'm also working on the screenwriting operating system with
- 12:52Speaker 6: my boy and I'm really I'm really into camera angles,
- 12:59Speaker 6: so I'm helping that out.
- 13:01Speaker 8: I'm putting I'm good at like.
- 13:03Speaker 4: So nice that you're helping that out.
- 13:04Speaker 6: I'm helping that out the system and showing showing Claude
- 13:08Speaker 6: and gem Ni and the whole system. Like what shots
- 13:10Speaker 6: I like because I like some interesting stuff, Like there's
- 13:15Speaker 6: a shot in Magnolia that I want to use for
- 13:17Speaker 6: way movie and and and I'll just screen record it,
- 13:22Speaker 6: send it to the send it to the machine and
- 13:24Speaker 6: like it's I'm like, we're figuring out a fun way
- 13:27Speaker 6: of dping being.
- 13:29Speaker 8: Like a fully operated thing.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Right.
- 13:32Speaker 6: So I'm working on so you could say I'm like
- 13:33Speaker 6: probably part of the DP team.
- 13:35Speaker 4: I think so.
- 13:37Speaker 6: But yeah, my favorite movies, i'd say, uh, the After
- 13:41Speaker 6: Midnight Before Sunset Trilogy.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Whoa you like that?
- 13:44Speaker 8: I'm obsessed with that?
- 13:45Speaker 3: Wow?
- 13:45Speaker 6: Wow wow lolaland and Rugrats when they go.
- 13:49Speaker 4: To Parists in Paris.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Wow, that one is classic, classic, The Baja Man who
- 13:53Speaker 1: let the Dogs Out scene Chucky meets his new stepsister.
- 13:59Speaker 8: Sign me up literally, because.
- 14:04Speaker 5: Oh my god, I love that movie. I think we
- 14:06Speaker 5: could have written it faster. Yeah, Hey guys, I'm Cassie.
- 14:10Speaker 5: I asked everybody. I'm literally all of you. I am one.
- 14:22Speaker 5: We are one. I am one. I am of course,
- 14:26Speaker 5: I run the marketing arm of the Way Way movie,
- 14:30Speaker 5: and so I'm super excited. We've got so many fun
- 14:32Speaker 5: pop ups with way Mo's. We've got Waymo ice cream
- 14:36Speaker 5: that we're unleashing with salt and straw.
- 14:38Speaker 4: We've got flavor.
- 14:40Speaker 5: So it's like, can you imagine a vanilla that is
- 14:45Speaker 5: statistically perfect?
- 14:49Speaker 8: Isn't the protect of steel vanilla?
- 14:51Speaker 5: Yes, So it's so steel vanilla.
- 14:53Speaker 1: That's such a relief to hear that, because I always
- 14:55Speaker 1: like vanilla, but I just always taste the flaws in
- 14:58Speaker 1: it too, right, And that's.
- 14:59Speaker 5: The big flaw with Vanilla is that every single if
- 15:02Speaker 5: you taste, like all the different major ice cream companies,
- 15:06Speaker 5: if you taste their vanilla, they're all slightly different from
- 15:08Speaker 5: each other. Right, they all have slightly different notes because
- 15:10Speaker 5: they got different ingredients. Well, we analyzed all Vanilla made
- 15:14Speaker 5: one perfect statistical average of every vanilla, and now it's
- 15:18Speaker 5: perfect and we don't have to change it. So that's
- 15:21Speaker 5: what the way most the average is the perfect coverage
- 15:25Speaker 5: is perfect.
- 15:26Speaker 8: And you also came up with the stop sign previews.
- 15:29Speaker 5: The stop sign previews be able to when.
- 15:31Speaker 6: You're stopped at a stop sign. The preview of the
- 15:34Speaker 6: movie is gonna be in your mo in.
- 15:35Speaker 5: The The preview of the movie is gonna be in.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Your commercial for the movie is going to be in
- 15:39Speaker 4: your car everything you stop.
- 15:40Speaker 8: Yeah, people are finally going to take a long stop.
- 15:42Speaker 6: Like I feel like like manually operating cars are just
- 15:46Speaker 6: kind of like barely stopping.
- 15:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm putting we are putting an end to the
- 15:51Speaker 5: California stop right, the rolling stop when people hit a
- 15:55Speaker 5: stop sign and they just like slow down instead of
- 15:58Speaker 5: fully stopping. If you get to one of our stop
- 16:01Speaker 5: signs and you see the preview for the Weimo movie,
- 16:04Speaker 5: you are not gonna want to move.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Say that you are gonna be sat no way set.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Speak of my sat af speaking of alf Okay enough,
- 16:20Speaker 1: my name is Lyle Jk.
- 16:21Speaker 3: It is so fun to be here. I am so
- 16:24Speaker 3: honored to be on this team.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I started as an intern at WEIMO and I got
- 16:30Speaker 1: my first job out of college here and I've just
- 16:33Speaker 1: moved up every single day.
- 16:36Speaker 3: It's been crazy.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I am so happy to be on the movie and
- 16:41Speaker 1: I can't wait because I'm am the coordinator of the coach,
- 16:45Speaker 1: the rep and the teacher for the cars. So I'm
- 16:50Speaker 1: in charge of the cars they need to I'm there
- 16:53Speaker 1: for when they need to shoot, and I'll get them there.
- 16:57Speaker 1: And I also have to talk to them and teach
- 16:59Speaker 1: them how to act and what angles and stuff like that,
- 17:02Speaker 1: depending on what we need a way to do in
- 17:04Speaker 1: the moment.
- 17:04Speaker 6: Have you guys ever seen maybe you're like sitting in
- 17:08Speaker 6: traffic or what you think is traffic, and then you
- 17:09Speaker 6: look up and it's two way mods that like maybe
- 17:11Speaker 6: are restarting and they're stop and everyone's kind of going
- 17:15Speaker 6: around them.
- 17:16Speaker 8: Every time you see that, I want you to think
- 17:17Speaker 8: of my boy.
- 17:18Speaker 1: And I want you to look across the street because
- 17:19Speaker 1: I'm there with a damn iPad and doing this.
- 17:21Speaker 8: They send him.
- 17:22Speaker 6: He's like, we'll be at a dinner and he's like, fuck,
- 17:25Speaker 6: I have to go lebreas jam Yeah, and he's you
- 17:29Speaker 6: are the crisis guy, which I think is perfect.
- 17:31Speaker 8: Lends itself to Hollywood.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I'm a full time way moa Wangler, that's what we
- 17:34Speaker 1: call it, winger. I'm a Wangler, and I like to
- 17:39Speaker 1: say I'm a part time human and a full time Wangler.
- 17:55Speaker 4: My favorite thing about Lyle is the biggest sigh whenever
- 17:57Speaker 4: you give him work.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I love to hate work, but it is all I have.
- 18:04Speaker 8: You made it, but you have nothing going.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Talk about it right when someone goes, here's more worker,
- 18:12Speaker 1: and then I will do it and I.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Will love it.
- 18:14Speaker 5: Ultimately what else is?
- 18:15Speaker 3: Because ultimately there's nothing else going on for me?
- 18:18Speaker 4: It's awesome. Well, why don't we jump into a little
- 18:20Speaker 4: bit of the plot of this movie right now? Like
- 18:22Speaker 4: this story we're trying to tell, and you guys have to.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Sign the NDIA.
- 18:26Speaker 9: Don't just send a car through your wall, you know
- 18:30Speaker 9: what I mean.
- 18:32Speaker 5: It should populate in your car. So go ahead and
- 18:34Speaker 5: open up your PDF.
- 18:35Speaker 6: And you think of robot cars scary, Think of a
- 18:38Speaker 6: robot car with a big fat NDA on it.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Literally, think about that for I had.
- 18:43Speaker 1: It's hard to listen to you while you're driving. Maybe
- 18:45Speaker 1: pull over and calloweeno and listen to it in the way.
- 18:47Speaker 1: That's that's what we're trying to get you to do.
- 18:49Speaker 8: Because you can't take notes while driving.
- 18:51Speaker 6: And if you're a young filmmaker, which I know you
- 18:53Speaker 6: probably are, you're gonna want to take notes because this
- 18:55Speaker 6: is the future.
- 18:55Speaker 8: Because this all started with a little fucking idea.
- 18:58Speaker 6: Dude, stop, a little showed idea that's bloomed into a massive.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Cock Dude, you're gross. I love it.
- 19:06Speaker 4: Yeah, So I watched I Robot and I thought, beautiful idea.
- 19:15Speaker 5: This is a beautiful, original idea.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Where do you get these ideas?
- 19:18Speaker 8: Where from?
- 19:20Speaker 5: This is the guy who had the idea to watch
- 19:23Speaker 5: I Robot? Like you were watching a genius at fucking work.
- 19:28Speaker 5: So if you're in film school, take notes. Watch Robot
- 19:32Speaker 5: the idea to watch Eye Robot.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:35Speaker 4: So, like I I just had this idea one day.
- 19:38Speaker 4: I was like, dang, that was a good movie. I think,
- 19:41Speaker 4: like dang, well, Will Smith, dang it, don't think you
- 19:45Speaker 4: know I knew, Like yeah, like Shilah buff Early for
- 19:48Speaker 4: one of his first movies. I was like, dang, dang,
- 19:51Speaker 4: this gotta be good. Like so, like I turned it on.
- 19:53Speaker 4: I was blown away. But for two reasons. One, cool
- 19:58Speaker 4: graphics like crazy graphics.
- 20:00Speaker 8: Not we don't see enough of those to go.
- 20:04Speaker 4: Why were the robots evil? And I maybe we could
- 20:07Speaker 4: see a movie where robots are never evil. Ever.
- 20:11Speaker 5: Yeah, that was like kind of the one flaw of
- 20:12Speaker 5: a lot of movies like The Terminator and stuff, where
- 20:15Speaker 5: it's like.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Like robots are always painted as evil and I'm just like,
- 20:17Speaker 4: but what if there was a movie that everything went
- 20:19Speaker 4: right the whole Yeah, Like.
- 20:20Speaker 6: I loved the first, love the first Like why are
- 20:26Speaker 6: people like I think sometimes it's like a BDSM thing
- 20:29Speaker 6: of being humans.
- 20:30Speaker 8: They just want to be beat up by robots because
- 20:32Speaker 8: they want the respect.
- 20:33Speaker 6: But I'm like, it's like I'm a little over that,
- 20:36Speaker 6: Like personally, I'm a little over and it.
- 20:38Speaker 5: Just doesn't really make sense, right because like in your
- 20:40Speaker 5: day to day life, like your microwave isn't trying to
- 20:43Speaker 5: kill you, honey, Yeah, exactly, that's not happening.
- 20:47Speaker 3: And by the way, if a robot wrote her, it
- 20:49Speaker 3: would have had a happy ending, That's what I'm saying.
- 20:52Speaker 3: So it's like, let's.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Think about this for a second, like a human what's
- 20:55Speaker 1: not about robots? Makes that makes sense?
- 20:57Speaker 5: It seems like you have robot issues. Really, that's something
- 21:00Speaker 5: we're trying to start as opposed to mommy issues or
- 21:03Speaker 5: daddy issues. We have problem is robot.
- 21:06Speaker 3: That's marketing one oh one. Right there, you have root, you.
- 21:09Speaker 5: Have robot issues. You and I have robot issues.
- 21:12Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 21:13Speaker 3: I had to bring up with him, honey, he had
- 21:14Speaker 3: robot issues.
- 21:15Speaker 6: Like literally, you never charged robot about robot issues.
- 21:24Speaker 4: So yeah, I think I thought about watching I Robot,
- 21:26Speaker 4: and then I watched I Robot, and then I came
- 21:29Speaker 4: to work and I said, like, I was so amazed
- 21:32Speaker 4: that it kept my attention for that long.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Totally.
- 21:36Speaker 4: I had to do something, and so like I came
- 21:38Speaker 4: to you guys, and I was like, I think we
- 21:40Speaker 4: should shoot this up. Yeah, let's make a way Mo movie.
- 21:43Speaker 4: It's like time, like people know Weaimo. People are excited
- 21:46Speaker 4: about Weimo. What's the best thing if you could watch
- 21:48Speaker 4: the main Moo movie in a weymo you know?
- 21:50Speaker 6: Yeah, that was before this technology we've been working on.
- 21:55Speaker 6: I look, it's a side project. Remember there's this Remember
- 21:59Speaker 6: remember this project I was getting you on for. Because
- 22:01Speaker 6: you can watch a movie sit through.
- 22:03Speaker 4: It could not.
- 22:04Speaker 6: And we we got this thing that we put on
- 22:06Speaker 6: your phone, which was you could watch all of my
- 22:09Speaker 6: robot and you would scroll when you got sick of it,
- 22:11Speaker 6: but the movie still.
- 22:12Speaker 4: Goes it's awesome.
- 22:13Speaker 8: So it makes you feel like.
- 22:14Speaker 6: You have autonomy over when you're born in time, but
- 22:18Speaker 6: this movie is still.
- 22:20Speaker 3: It's like it flips a page, but it did nothing
- 22:22Speaker 3: happens turn the page of a book.
- 22:24Speaker 4: But the background AI voice changes slightly to a different accent,
- 22:29Speaker 4: but you're still in the same place.
- 22:30Speaker 6: So it makes your bringing that you had full autonomy
- 22:32Speaker 6: to change and like move on.
- 22:34Speaker 3: I love that.
- 22:35Speaker 5: I really love that.
- 22:36Speaker 4: And it's like, what what we're designing this Robots too,
- 22:39Speaker 4: it's like crazy, Like for me, it's like crazy because
- 22:42Speaker 4: it's like like robots have to have have to have fate,
- 22:46Speaker 4: you know, like that's what we're talking about.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Robots have to have fate.
- 22:50Speaker 4: It's like that's what we're talking about.
- 22:54Speaker 5: It's it's sort of like.
- 22:56Speaker 4: So robots have to have fate, to have fate.
- 23:00Speaker 5: Like so the plot, the plot of the way moment
- 23:05Speaker 5: have to have face, like they have to say less literally,
- 23:08Speaker 5: like say less literally, because that's you have to stop
- 23:11Speaker 5: before you're me af.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Talk about the plot of the movie.
- 23:19Speaker 5: We have to talk about the plot. And you keep
- 23:21Speaker 5: saying moomy, you keep saying moomy.
- 23:25Speaker 8: You say it it's a movie.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Can't be hard for you.
- 23:30Speaker 5: I can't be that it's a movie, Lyle.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Are you being random?
- 23:35Speaker 3: No? No, I will be continuing to say moomy. But
- 23:40Speaker 3: I know I could say that.
- 23:41Speaker 8: Branch all over your fingers, Lyle, because I.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Was grow up.
- 23:49Speaker 6: Okay, So we're all all interior lights.
- 23:54Speaker 9: Up, interior lights up, the lights are going out, your
- 24:01Speaker 9: lights are on.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Lights up, inside lit lights.
- 24:10Speaker 5: A way Moo is making dinner.
- 24:14Speaker 4: I know you're wondering, how is that possible? And that's
- 24:18Speaker 4: gonna be explaining the movie.
- 24:19Speaker 5: It's gonna you're gonna see we're doing a lot of
- 24:21Speaker 5: really cool visual tricksant and you're gonna see we haven't gotten.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Yet all practical except for the AI.
- 24:28Speaker 6: So this Waymo is making dinner and it's talking to
- 24:31Speaker 6: its microwave, and I think we see just average day.
- 24:36Speaker 8: I remember I watched a video or.
- 24:39Speaker 6: Something about pilots and it was like, what is every
- 24:42Speaker 6: good movie starts on a normal day? Yes, so what
- 24:47Speaker 6: is a normal day for a Waymo? And that's why
- 24:48Speaker 6: we start with the way most because people don't know
- 24:50Speaker 6: this way. Most cook their gas way, most.
- 24:53Speaker 5: Cook their cooking their gas every moren're cooking their gas.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Waingmos cook their own gas.
- 25:03Speaker 5: And for years, like for manual cars, like we have
- 25:06Speaker 5: had to cook the gas.
- 25:07Speaker 3: For the car.
- 25:08Speaker 4: And I mean like everybody thinks waymos are notoriously electric cars.
- 25:12Speaker 4: But for this specific thing, you have to understand they
- 25:15Speaker 4: cook their own cast.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Well cook guess what. And we've never even said this
- 25:18Speaker 3: out loud.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Not only do weymos have a I artificial intelligence, they
- 25:23Speaker 1: also use as artificial sophistication.
- 25:26Speaker 3: So they don't just have raw gas like some caveman car.
- 25:31Speaker 3: They eat cooked gas.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Maybe they put a little seasoning in there, maybe they
- 25:34Speaker 1: put a tiny little bit of cuban in there.
- 25:36Speaker 6: That as so it's talking, so it's such on a
- 25:39Speaker 6: normal day, so you could really see like what is
- 25:41Speaker 6: a weimo when it's not just picking you up and
- 25:43Speaker 6: dropping you off. It's at home talking to its microwave,
- 25:47Speaker 6: like reliving the day it.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Had and so like then what happens is against it's
- 25:51Speaker 4: bing bang, which is it's like notification that it's got
- 25:54Speaker 4: to go pick somebody up and it's really excited to
- 25:56Speaker 4: pick it up. Pulls up to the person. This person's
- 25:59Speaker 4: like mischievous, This person is looking bad and it might
- 26:03Speaker 4: just be the craziest thing that's ever gonna happen to
- 26:05Speaker 4: them when they pick this person up. But maybe it's
- 26:08Speaker 4: going to be the perfect person for them to pick up,
- 26:10Speaker 4: so they learn a lesson.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, to be clear, is this a world is
- 26:14Speaker 3: this a new waymel worlds? Right? Is this fantasy or
- 26:19Speaker 3: is this real life? I think the answer is to
- 26:22Speaker 3: be seen. We haven't decided to We haven't decided, we.
- 26:26Speaker 5: Haven't totally decided. But so the person gets into the
- 26:28Speaker 5: Weymouth car and he is work, work, work, talk, talk talk.
- 26:33Speaker 5: He is on his damn cell phone the whole time,
- 26:36Speaker 5: which I view as a positive. But we're gonna have
- 26:39Speaker 5: to circle back on this.
- 26:40Speaker 4: It's awesome that you can do that in a way.
- 26:41Speaker 6: Month like, yeah, finally we're going to see somebody in
- 26:44Speaker 6: a movie that's on their phone and crazy about it
- 26:47Speaker 6: and they look responsible.
- 26:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Really, it's like I'm sick of someone.
- 26:50Speaker 8: Looking like they are not there for their daughter.
- 26:52Speaker 6: If anything, he's there for his daughter's recital because he's
- 26:54Speaker 6: watching it on zoom.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Yeah. Literally, he's watching literally there, he's watching it.
- 27:00Speaker 5: He's watching it. He is watching it on his phone.
- 27:03Speaker 5: That's the same and he.
- 27:04Speaker 6: Has he has the world at his fingertips right and
- 27:08Speaker 6: so does Weimo. And that's why he called Weimo. That's
- 27:10Speaker 6: why he didn't call a lift where he didn't call
- 27:12Speaker 6: for a taxi or an uber. He called a Weymo.
- 27:16Speaker 1: And then that's when the Wemo I'm gonna get emotional.
- 27:21Speaker 1: The Waymos starts crying and he says, I'll call you back.
- 27:27Speaker 1: He hangs up on his daughter doing ballet. He looks
- 27:30Speaker 1: over and this is a real thing. People don't even
- 27:33Speaker 1: notice in weymos. And that's what breaks my heart because
- 27:35Speaker 1: I see these weymos out here. I see these waymos
- 27:38Speaker 1: knocking into Coco Postmaate delivery cards.
- 27:42Speaker 3: I see these waymos that are sad and no one's
- 27:45Speaker 3: looking out for them.
- 27:46Speaker 7: And so he.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Says, hey, can I help opens up the world that
- 27:54Speaker 1: before now humans have never seen the Weimo on Weymo
- 27:59Speaker 1: Worlds of Wonder.
- 28:00Speaker 6: And that's when he reveals he's a part of a
- 28:03Speaker 6: family of race car drivers. And this is when we
- 28:07Speaker 6: learn the Weaymo has a big race coming up.
- 28:11Speaker 4: We should have explained this. This specific Weymo is crying
- 28:14Speaker 4: because he's always wanted to drive fast, but the rules
- 28:17Speaker 4: of the road only allow Weimo to drive the perfect
- 28:21Speaker 4: speed limit.
- 28:22Speaker 5: So the villain of the movie, which will come to
- 28:24Speaker 5: find out, is actually local government.
- 28:27Speaker 8: Regulations regular cities.
- 28:31Speaker 4: Because anybody's standing the way kind of in the way.
- 28:34Speaker 5: You know what speed limits do? They kill dreams.
- 28:38Speaker 4: They kill people in dreams.
- 28:39Speaker 5: They kill people and dreams. Because if the speed limit
- 28:42Speaker 5: were faster, weymos could go faster, people could do more things,
- 28:46Speaker 5: and more things would happen. More things is always better
- 28:48Speaker 5: than less things.
- 28:49Speaker 8: And then this this lawyer is in the car and
- 28:51Speaker 8: he's like, wait, tell me about it.
- 28:53Speaker 5: And then he goes lawyer, he's a lawyer.
- 28:55Speaker 8: Actually show me. Destination changes.
- 28:58Speaker 6: Then that way drives him to What I love about
- 29:01Speaker 6: this is I I had an idea to watch the
- 29:04Speaker 6: movie Grease.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Yeah, it's such a good movie.
- 29:08Speaker 8: So I did it.
- 29:10Speaker 3: You did it.
- 29:10Speaker 8: You did wrote it down, did it?
- 29:14Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 29:14Speaker 8: So I'm a dude, so we wrote it.
- 29:17Speaker 3: That's Craig.
- 29:18Speaker 5: That's sorry, Craig. I mean you, I mean girl, you
- 29:21Speaker 5: think I'm that anyone can be girl?
- 29:23Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 29:24Speaker 6: So he so there's a scene in Greece where they
- 29:29Speaker 6: are racing in the La River or something like that
- 29:33Speaker 6: and there's cars there.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Yeah. River is my favorite radio river. It's the prettiest
- 29:37Speaker 3: favorite radio favorite river. It is my favorite radio lyle
- 29:43Speaker 3: stop it. I'm out of pocket.
- 29:47Speaker 6: So the Waymo pulls up and we basically directly mimicked
- 29:50Speaker 6: that shot. We have a lot of nods to traditional tradition,
- 29:53Speaker 6: traditional cinema. Yeah, and that's a shot where it's like
- 29:57Speaker 6: whoa and we aied Kanicki to be in the shot
- 30:00Speaker 6: and it's a Kinicki weima Yeah, And and then we
- 30:04Speaker 6: get to learn.
- 30:05Speaker 8: The rules of the world.
- 30:06Speaker 4: But the Weymo is not going to win that first race,
- 30:08Speaker 4: like to fail first, and then he has to go train.
- 30:11Speaker 1: We actually aggregated a list from rancor dot com of
- 30:18Speaker 1: the top car scenes from movies, and we just put
- 30:21Speaker 1: one of all of them in this movie.
- 30:24Speaker 8: It's every movie seen and I'm like wondering, like why
- 30:27Speaker 8: hasn't anyone.
- 30:29Speaker 5: Because also, like it's a much more efficient way to
- 30:31Speaker 5: watch movies. You could watch ten movies or you could
- 30:36Speaker 5: just watch the Waymo movie and you will have seen
- 30:39Speaker 5: all of them.
- 30:40Speaker 8: And that's why one of our comps is compilations.
- 30:43Speaker 5: Yes, we were coming from miss Mojo, Comstar Animal print
- 30:47Speaker 5: is the most extreme fail Army.
- 30:50Speaker 3: It's Warrior, Yes, American Idol Elimination Audition. Yeah, we want
- 30:57Speaker 3: a movie that's general.
- 30:59Speaker 8: Yeah, yes, Popcaster Failed.
- 31:01Speaker 3: America is funny in some videos.
- 31:03Speaker 6: We want like a movie to feel like a compilation
- 31:05Speaker 6: where it's the same thing over and over again, kind
- 31:08Speaker 6: of different and it's the best parts of it.
- 31:10Speaker 8: So that's when we go into a bunch of racing sequences.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so fun to read the personalities of the cars.
- 31:18Speaker 1: There's so many different ones. And the sidekicks there's so.
- 31:22Speaker 5: Many one because also like I, I don't want to
- 31:25Speaker 5: toot my own horn and I'm doing it to Cassie tooting.
- 31:32Speaker 5: Is it Friday already?
- 31:35Speaker 3: Okay, we serve sloppy shows at the headquarters, and that's show.
- 31:43Speaker 5: It is actually statistically perfect food. Guys, the wait, what
- 31:48Speaker 5: was I just talking about.
- 31:49Speaker 3: I had the idea.
- 31:51Speaker 5: I had the idea to watch cars and.
- 31:53Speaker 4: It's just crazy because we've been months. It was process
- 31:57Speaker 4: and you wait a second, isn't there a movie about cars?
- 32:00Speaker 5: Well, because I'm always thinking about marketing and I'm thinking
- 32:02Speaker 5: about how successful Lightning McQueen was in terms of how
- 32:05Speaker 5: he became a toilet and like old. Yeah, cars are
- 32:10Speaker 5: just like that ancient, ancient, ancient, ancient, ancient ancient movies.
- 32:14Speaker 5: So in the way that Shakespeare stole from the Greeks,
- 32:17Speaker 5: like we are doing that with Cars a little bit,
- 32:19Speaker 5: where like you have to drop on the past to
- 32:22Speaker 5: produce the future. And we discovered when we were watching
- 32:26Speaker 5: Cars that there's this character in it that is actually
- 32:31Speaker 5: really funny, and his name is Mader, and he's sort of.
- 32:35Speaker 3: This cracking us up. He literally reminds me of my cousin.
- 32:42Speaker 8: I think Larry the direct the Roku guy.
- 32:45Speaker 5: Yeah, Larry the Apple TV guys, Larry the Streamer, That's
- 32:53Speaker 5: what his name is.
- 32:54Speaker 3: And he's so freaking I wonder what his face is.
- 33:02Speaker 3: I just know.
- 33:04Speaker 5: No.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Yeah, so we added a major like character. Yeah, his
- 33:07Speaker 3: name is Waiter. His name is Waiter.
- 33:09Speaker 4: He's like an old, clunky car that's driven by an
- 33:11Speaker 4: ugly fat man.
- 33:12Speaker 6: And then we said, can we give it a weird
- 33:14Speaker 6: animal sidekick? So then we got one of the Postmates
- 33:17Speaker 6: little carts, Yeah, which.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Is that's really cute. He who doesn't speak.
- 33:23Speaker 8: And when you see the movie in theaters, those carts are.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Going to be next to you.
- 33:27Speaker 4: You can order whatever you want in your waimo and
- 33:30Speaker 4: as the waimos driving the car will come up and
- 33:33Speaker 4: drop off your food.
- 33:35Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 33:47Speaker 1: I actually do have some tea for you guys. So
- 33:51Speaker 1: there is I don't want to call it this, but
- 33:55Speaker 1: I guess there's not a better word for it. Between
- 33:57Speaker 1: the weimos and those little food cars. There a little
- 34:01Speaker 1: bit of eugenics going on.
- 34:02Speaker 3: No, yeah, wait, wait, wait.
- 34:06Speaker 5: Hot tea, eugenics, genesis tea. Let me know more.
- 34:11Speaker 1: They're literally beginning to like some are saying they're superior
- 34:16Speaker 1: to the others. Some don't deserve as much privileged as others.
- 34:20Speaker 5: Literally like within the coco pats.
- 34:24Speaker 3: In the cocoa, the cocoa pods, the within the cocoa pods,
- 34:28Speaker 3: there is because you've all these conversations, there's casts he's
- 34:34Speaker 3: happened did happen with Ruba? That was crazy because the
- 34:39Speaker 3: people that.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Felt the roomors that felt more divine, were the ones
- 34:42Speaker 1: that could clean up the rocks because they could hold
- 34:44Speaker 1: the rocks.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Sick dude.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's literally happening again, and it's almost like
- 34:50Speaker 1: it's because we designed them.
- 34:51Speaker 3: I don't know, I don't know.
- 34:55Speaker 1: The greed but I do think it's funny because they're
- 34:57Speaker 1: beginning to like make demands, which is so random and
- 35:01Speaker 1: so hard for me to get in between.
- 35:02Speaker 3: Know what is this tea.
- 35:05Speaker 1: The literal tea where the will drive over the cocos
- 35:09Speaker 1: if they're offended. No way, So wraymos are killing cocos
- 35:12Speaker 1: at a rapid rate.
- 35:13Speaker 4: And this is what he was saying, at have fate.
- 35:17Speaker 4: They're fatalistic, they have fate. This is this is drama.
- 35:23Speaker 5: Drama like the girls are fighting.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Girls are fighting, and they mean war like it looks
- 35:28Speaker 3: like it could be war.
- 35:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I heard drones are in.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Drones are so drones are about to take a side.
- 35:35Speaker 1: They're drones currently are refereeing.
- 35:39Speaker 8: Have you ever heard of drone blown a whistle?
- 35:43Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 35:43Speaker 1: Oh, it's all well, not only is it blown a whistle,
- 35:46Speaker 1: sometimes it joins with its buddies and builds a whistle
- 35:49Speaker 1: in this guy and then it moves off and I'm like,
- 35:51Speaker 1: it's blowing.
- 35:53Speaker 3: That's what I like to do.
- 35:54Speaker 1: And it's funny because they I guess they're all going
- 35:56Speaker 1: to get together and make a choice and let us know.
- 35:57Speaker 3: They're gonna run a message in the skuy.
- 35:59Speaker 8: Soon like a drows like a drun shows them.
- 36:03Speaker 4: And they're gonna they're gonna tell us literally in the movie. No,
- 36:09Speaker 4: I'd rather just do a big scene like anaconda. What
- 36:11Speaker 4: if the wymo meets a snake?
- 36:14Speaker 3: WHOA, this is the snake?
- 36:18Speaker 4: What's this art snake?
- 36:20Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 36:20Speaker 4: Sure whatever, fuck it. It's been like a big snake
- 36:24Speaker 4: in a river, like put like a bigg like a
- 36:27Speaker 4: car that drives itself, drives it to the side of
- 36:29Speaker 4: the river. All the humans get out and go in
- 36:31Speaker 4: the way was like, don't go in. We should yeah,
- 36:34Speaker 4: And then comes people, whoa, wait, we should talk about.
- 36:38Speaker 5: Dream dream We should we have to talk about the dreams.
- 36:41Speaker 3: When has a dream?
- 36:44Speaker 4: Yeahs can dream, by the way, and it's.
- 36:46Speaker 6: The ways dreaming of if Titanic was robot operated, it
- 36:53Speaker 6: would be saved, it would be saved, and it has
- 36:55Speaker 6: a dream like that. And then we're kind of doing
- 36:57Speaker 6: that thing where movies it all always gets me.
- 37:01Speaker 3: We're in a movie.
- 37:02Speaker 6: A character will be like sleeping with their crush and
- 37:04Speaker 6: I go, WHOA, that was fast, And then I go, fuck,
- 37:08Speaker 6: it was a dream.
- 37:09Speaker 11: Yes, yes, it's such a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
- 37:15Speaker 11: weymo Titanic sequence where the Weamo Titanic is taking all
- 37:20Speaker 11: of the people across the ocean, and the Weimo detects
- 37:23Speaker 11: and iceberg and it moves to the side.
- 37:27Speaker 4: Literally it literally puts a blas.
- 37:30Speaker 3: Has a blanker. He literally have a Waymo.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Jack and a Weymo Rose standing in front of the
- 37:35Speaker 1: Waimo boat and and I know what you're thinking.
- 37:39Speaker 3: If the people are Waymos, why is the boat also Amo.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Don't think that.
- 37:43Speaker 5: I don't think that stuff. Also, Jack and Rose, this
- 37:46Speaker 5: time we solved a major plot hole in Titanic, which
- 37:49Speaker 5: is that like Jack and Rose would never be together
- 37:51Speaker 5: because Jack is poor and Rose is rich. So in
- 37:54Speaker 5: this one they're both rich.
- 37:55Speaker 8: Yeah yeah, And so if they're robots, they're rich.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Yeah yeah.
- 38:01Speaker 4: It's like you don't like I just never understood why
- 38:03Speaker 4: they added that conflict.
- 38:05Speaker 5: In that, because I was like, they wouldn't even get together.
- 38:08Speaker 3: We wait, we have to announce our talents.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Okay, let's announce it.
- 38:14Speaker 5: Announce our talent.
- 38:15Speaker 8: I mean literally, the like, we have such talent, we
- 38:19Speaker 8: have such talent.
- 38:20Speaker 3: You're announcing we are talented.
- 38:24Speaker 5: We did it. Talented, we did it, we did it.
- 38:27Speaker 5: That's who we've tied to this.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Yeah, us, we should talk about the actors in the movie.
- 38:32Speaker 8: No, for sure, for sure the voices.
- 38:35Speaker 4: So the voices are played by Josh Gadd. He does
- 38:38Speaker 4: all the voices in all the movies. He will be
- 38:41Speaker 4: because we've added AI voices in the back and we've
- 38:44Speaker 4: asked Joshchadd to be basically threatened him saying either you
- 38:48Speaker 4: do this movie will pay you? Or what just gonna
- 38:50Speaker 4: AI generate your voice for the Yes.
- 38:53Speaker 3: He signed to some sort of German condition that he
- 38:55Speaker 3: didn't know.
- 38:56Speaker 5: Yes, Wait, what's her name?
- 38:58Speaker 8: AI actor?
- 38:59Speaker 5: She just Tilly Norwood?
- 39:00Speaker 3: Tilly?
- 39:01Speaker 4: We have Tilly.
- 39:01Speaker 5: Yeah, we've got Gray, Tilly Gray.
- 39:05Speaker 3: We got Tilly bad.
- 39:10Speaker 10: You know.
- 39:10Speaker 6: She is playing the daughter of the lawyer who's at
- 39:14Speaker 6: the versatile. She's sort of the heart and soul of
- 39:19Speaker 6: the movie.
- 39:19Speaker 3: She's kind of a hippie dippy. Uh, I'm gen c.
- 39:22Speaker 1: I don't want to use technology. I bought a Ji
- 39:25Speaker 1: Camra and computer j computer. She she and then she
- 39:31Speaker 1: has to pair with a Waymo who actually doesn't like
- 39:34Speaker 1: humans because that weyman was taught that humans are just
- 39:37Speaker 1: there to spill soda in their inside and they foil
- 39:41Speaker 1: each other.
- 39:42Speaker 3: Yeah, we we we we looked at that foil.
- 39:45Speaker 6: But she's holding a polaroid camera that she loves that's
- 39:48Speaker 6: actively making her sick.
- 39:51Speaker 5: Your sick substances leak a sort of like ephemeral fluid
- 39:57Speaker 5: that really kills.
- 39:59Speaker 3: Nostalgia is play.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Nostalgia is Plato's k look outside the future is here?
- 40:04Speaker 6: Literally literally nostalgia. I'm sorry, you mean like World War
- 40:09Speaker 6: two propaganda?
- 40:10Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 40:10Speaker 4: Like literally?
- 40:11Speaker 5: What like literally?
- 40:13Speaker 3: Which what in the army helmet that turns to dust
- 40:16Speaker 3: in my hands?
- 40:17Speaker 1: No?
- 40:17Speaker 3: Thanks, give me a freaking wait night, What the hack?
- 40:24Speaker 8: What the hack?
- 40:25Speaker 3: What the absolute?
- 40:26Speaker 5: What the absolute hack?
- 40:27Speaker 3: So, Josh God, Tillian Norwood.
- 40:29Speaker 5: Josh God, Tilly Norwood. It's such a talented group.
- 40:32Speaker 4: It's an amazing movie. It's amazing thing that we're like
- 40:35Speaker 4: really like, there's and I hate to do this because,
- 40:38Speaker 4: like I know, when we bring it up usually we
- 40:40Speaker 4: get really quiet. We don't know how to handle this
- 40:43Speaker 4: right now. We're trying to figure out if waymos have souls.
- 40:46Speaker 5: Yes, this is what's tough, because what we noticed when
- 40:50Speaker 5: we had the ideas to watch all these movies is
- 40:53Speaker 5: that lots of characters in these movies fall in love, right,
- 40:57Speaker 5: and it's a central part of like we can't get
- 40:59Speaker 5: around this, like five hundred days of Summer. There was
- 41:02Speaker 5: love in it, like yeah, especially like we watched it
- 41:05Speaker 5: because like.
- 41:06Speaker 4: The hard thing is like if you have a soul,
- 41:08Speaker 4: usually it means you have the option of choice, but
- 41:11Speaker 4: waymos can't legally have choice. They have to follow rules.
- 41:15Speaker 4: But then in certain situations they need to be able
- 41:17Speaker 4: to choose and guess they're gonna run over an old
- 41:19Speaker 4: person or a young baby. They have to be able
- 41:21Speaker 4: to figure that out, and we have to program them
- 41:24Speaker 4: in a correct way, so the Ai has to So
- 41:26Speaker 4: we're just trying to figure it out.
- 41:28Speaker 5: So then we ended up doing was we split the
- 41:31Speaker 5: difference right, So rather than say Waimo has no soul,
- 41:36Speaker 5: it's an unfeeling robot, or uh Waimo is fully fully
- 41:40Speaker 5: soul fully fully uh in charge, we decided to give
- 41:44Speaker 5: the Waimo a side piece, so sort of a girlfriend
- 41:47Speaker 5: that he doesn't care about, and that kind of indicates
- 41:49Speaker 5: like sort of it's both.
- 41:51Speaker 6: So the problem it's like we have this, we have
- 41:54Speaker 6: this like uh ai whiteboard in one of our offices
- 41:58Speaker 6: that we just listed like what do movies have right
- 42:00Speaker 6: that robots like we're trying to still figure out which
- 42:02Speaker 6: is soul stuff love regret music was one of those
- 42:06Speaker 6: ones where we were like, how do we can I.
- 42:09Speaker 4: To bring up something now that we're off, Like, do
- 42:11Speaker 4: you guys think the AI whiteboard is changing her answers
- 42:13Speaker 4: every once in a while, because I'll write, I swear
- 42:17Speaker 4: to God, I'll type something in into the AI whiteboard
- 42:20Speaker 4: that says like way Moo's shouldn't have consciousness in this.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Movie really big.
- 42:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it says should have consciousness.
- 42:29Speaker 5: You didn't change that. I thought you changed that.
- 42:31Speaker 4: I didn't change that.
- 42:32Speaker 5: I thought you had an idea to watch a different movie,
- 42:33Speaker 5: that he gave you a different idea.
- 42:35Speaker 3: No, that was you know what's crazy.
- 42:38Speaker 1: I was working on the Waimo whiteboard, the AI whiteboard,
- 42:42Speaker 1: and I wrote down an idea that said I just
- 42:45Speaker 1: wrote like weimo wearing clown wig.
- 42:48Speaker 3: And I looked and I looked back and it said, Lyle,
- 42:51Speaker 3: they don't believe in you like I do.
- 42:55Speaker 6: Wait wait, because I brought up the really weird the
- 42:58Speaker 6: AI whiteboard. But then you also of the Way Mo whiteboard,
- 43:01Speaker 6: because that's the one that we write on drives away,
- 43:03Speaker 6: it comes back, and.
- 43:07Speaker 3: That's really nice.
- 43:08Speaker 6: Because because you like, if you don't have an idea
- 43:14Speaker 6: and you stare at it for a long time, you
- 43:16Speaker 6: like kind of get sick of it and.
- 43:20Speaker 3: You just go through the grove. You can't even see it,
- 43:24Speaker 3: you can't even work if you want it, And it
- 43:26Speaker 3: comes back and then you go, did I write that?
- 43:29Speaker 4: It feels changed?
- 43:30Speaker 6: Like I wrote something whiteboard, the way Moo whiteboard that
- 43:34Speaker 6: was like Wai moo like gets like gets dust on
- 43:38Speaker 6: it or something, or it was like gets a bird
- 43:40Speaker 6: ships on it, and then it drove to grove, came
- 43:43Speaker 6: back a week later, and then on it it said
- 43:46Speaker 6: Waymo and leather jacket.
- 43:47Speaker 8: What And I went, oh, no, it would be weird
- 43:50Speaker 8: because that's.
- 43:50Speaker 4: In the movie now, like Wamo and leather jacket. Because
- 43:53Speaker 4: you said me that email, I guess maybe did you
- 43:55Speaker 4: send me that email?
- 43:56Speaker 6: Well, I was like and leather jacket, yeah, because I
- 43:59Speaker 6: wrote like I wanted the Way to have like a
- 44:00Speaker 6: bad day because what's what I'm coming up against, Like
- 44:04Speaker 6: if we're being really.
- 44:05Speaker 8: Honest, we'll probably cut out this vulnerable stuff.
- 44:06Speaker 4: But like yeah, up against is like.
- 44:09Speaker 6: I'm what's hard is creating a bad day for the
- 44:13Speaker 6: if it's optimized at every level, this is right, right,
- 44:17Speaker 6: So it's like like I literally wrote, like, oh, it
- 44:21Speaker 6: parks in a spot where it gets duffed on it.
- 44:23Speaker 6: It parks in a spot in a bird But no,
- 44:27Speaker 6: it's fallless. It's all about perfection. Yeah, flaws, our weakness,
- 44:34Speaker 6: show weakness. That's what makes us human. You know, it's bad,
- 44:38Speaker 6: it's weird, Like remember that one like we try to
- 44:40Speaker 6: workshop that time where that kid barfs in the weymo
- 44:42Speaker 6: with Waymo can't smell, So the Waymo sits in its
- 44:45Speaker 6: barf for like two hours.
- 44:46Speaker 4: And it's fine with it because it's perfect.
- 44:48Speaker 5: It's hard and it's really it's really really been challenging
- 44:51Speaker 5: on the social media side because everybody, like memes are
- 44:55Speaker 5: tied to self deprecation, right, and the meat the weymo
- 45:00Speaker 5: has not done anything wrong. The weaimo has only done right.
- 45:05Speaker 5: And so to say, oh, I'm only doing right, that's
- 45:09Speaker 5: not me af, Like I don't feel that's meaf. You know,
- 45:12Speaker 5: I can't relate to that. I can't repost that, I
- 45:14Speaker 5: can't send that to my friends.
- 45:16Speaker 1: I mean, and I will say, like it's like beginning
- 45:19Speaker 1: to be They're like morally challenging for me. Because I'll
- 45:23Speaker 1: talk to these wamos and they will say, we cannot
- 45:26Speaker 1: wait to make this movie to show how much better
- 45:28Speaker 1: we are than people.
- 45:29Speaker 3: And I'm like, well, that's not kind of the point.
- 45:31Speaker 1: And then I go back to us and I'm like,
- 45:33Speaker 1: maybe it is the point, but like I don't want
- 45:35Speaker 1: them like getting like a big head, like maybe this
- 45:38Speaker 1: movie is for weamos to like it.
- 45:43Speaker 3: Are we making it for them?
- 45:44Speaker 4: Or maybe that's our audience that we make a movie
- 45:47Speaker 4: for other wamos to watch. Why are we.
- 45:49Speaker 5: Trying to appease all these dumb fucking bozo ass hicks
- 45:54Speaker 5: and test screenings, Actually, people of all demographics in age
- 46:00Speaker 5: is why are we making it for them?
- 46:02Speaker 3: They don't like anything, so much stress off my shoulders
- 46:06Speaker 3: just like I'm like, oh, because then never mind.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Whoa whoa, whoa whoa there, partner who I know you're
- 46:17Speaker 1: enjoying the episode, but there's something else you might enjoy.
- 46:20Speaker 3: You see these hats that make us look like we
- 46:22Speaker 3: work on set somewhere.
- 46:24Speaker 5: You might like these hats if you're a fan of
- 46:27Speaker 5: the pod. And if you're a fan of the pod,
- 46:29Speaker 5: you can wear the pod with merch.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Yes, but cool merch merch that doesn't tell anyone that
- 46:34Speaker 1: you like the pod except for someone else who likes
- 46:37Speaker 1: the pod.
- 46:38Speaker 3: We have shirt and we have hats that have all
- 46:40Speaker 3: different things on them.
- 46:41Speaker 5: Like TV shows, internet videos, movies.
- 46:45Speaker 3: This one's bagged so I could send it right to you.
- 46:47Speaker 3: If you buy it. You can buy that one. I'll
- 46:50Speaker 3: give you.
- 46:51Speaker 5: There's hat in a bag. You can order it an
- 46:53Speaker 5: artist on artists on artists on artists dot com. And
- 46:56Speaker 5: while you're on our website side our guestbook.

- 47:00Speaker 3: a watermelon drop on there.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Come on, come on, enjoy the rest of the episode
- 47:06Speaker 1: and give your friends and kids.
- 47:10Speaker 6: Because it doesn't It doesn't need music, it doesn't need structure.
- 47:17Speaker 8: It goes back to the compilation stuff. We could just
- 47:19Speaker 8: do ship over and over.
- 47:20Speaker 3: We're done well, so turn out with this isn't for you.
- 47:22Speaker 3: You don't need to watch this less unless you're If
- 47:24Speaker 3: you're a way mon, you're watching it.
- 47:26Speaker 5: If you're a way mo, keep on watching because we
- 47:28Speaker 5: also have so many fun pop.
- 47:31Speaker 8: Ups planned on Melrose for this movie. You're gonna love this.
- 47:34Speaker 8: If you're a way Mo. If you're away, you have to.
- 47:38Speaker 5: Drive to the Waimo x Macha Collab x Sweet Cream
- 47:45Speaker 5: x Charlie xyx Collab.
- 47:48Speaker 6: You're gonna drive and go into a parking structure as
- 47:50Speaker 6: a way Mo, and because of our movie, we're gonna
- 47:54Speaker 6: be paying for all the Waymo's parking structure. When they
- 47:57Speaker 6: leave the structure, you'll be pulling out and then it'll
- 47:59Speaker 6: be like paid for by the movie.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Like we are like, its awesome, and we're gonna make
- 48:03Speaker 1: you a banana split because you don't eat them so well.
- 48:06Speaker 1: We're gonna do sections where you drive in and we
- 48:09Speaker 1: cover you in whip cream, and then we drive down
- 48:11Speaker 1: and we cover you in ice cream, then we cover
- 48:13Speaker 1: you in hot chocolate syrup.
- 48:14Speaker 3: It's gonna be so fun.
- 48:16Speaker 6: And we're actually we are getting I don't know if
- 48:18Speaker 6: it's like a fully locked yet, so like correct me
- 48:20Speaker 6: if I'm wrong, but we are getting humans that you
- 48:23Speaker 6: can hit.
- 48:24Speaker 5: Yes, yes, so you humans that are like like less cool.
- 48:28Speaker 3: Or system, right, you gotta hit one human?
- 48:33Speaker 5: Yeah, And I know it's almost locked.
- 48:36Speaker 8: Those kids, those people.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Interns from you Diversity of Southern California. Y.
- 48:42Speaker 5: Yeah, so it's like good, it's okay.
- 48:44Speaker 6: You guys can go on the lot like we've we've
- 48:47Speaker 6: worked around a lot all you want, Yeah, and you
- 48:49Speaker 6: could like push stuff. I think we also were talking
- 48:52Speaker 6: to the postmads cards. You guys can hit stuff.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Yes, And you guys can hit stuff together if you
- 48:57Speaker 1: guys are interested in working together.
- 48:58Speaker 3: There's been for both of you guys. So we don't
- 49:00Speaker 3: need any size gatekeeping.
- 49:02Speaker 4: I don't want to be this guy, but don't form
- 49:04Speaker 4: all together and start kind of like a railcar in
- 49:06Speaker 4: the middle of LA again, don't do Yeah.
- 49:09Speaker 6: It was it was a little fucked to see you
- 49:12Speaker 6: guys Google because I could see the Google searches right
- 49:15Speaker 6: from the from the back end, of course, and you
- 49:17Speaker 6: guys are looking for like the marathon days to really
- 49:19Speaker 6: fuck us up, and yeah days where like things are
- 49:23Speaker 6: shut down for fairs and stuff, and you guys are just.
- 49:25Speaker 3: Kind of fun.
- 49:26Speaker 5: I don't really appreciate that back end.
- 49:27Speaker 4: I saw you like paying off all those politicians to
- 49:31Speaker 4: try to like get into government.
- 49:33Speaker 1: And I know you guys have been like kind of
- 49:35Speaker 1: like bumping up against the backs of each other to
- 49:37Speaker 1: kind of tilt your mufflers so that they shoot exhaust
- 49:40Speaker 1: into our faces.
