- 0:10Sean McAllister: And a couple places you can relax outside at our resort, and you don't have to be a hotel guest.
- 0:18Dayna Roselli: Prime Steakhouse at Bellagio gets a refresh and we answer a listener's question.
- 0:24Sean McAllister: It's all coming up this week on Vegas Reveal.
- 0:29Sean McAllister: Vegas Revealed starts now.
- 0:32Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 262.
- 0:35Sean McAllister: I'm Sean McAllister along with Dana Roselli, and we are in the thick of hoops action, Dana.
- 0:42Dayna Roselli: We are.
- 0:42Dayna Roselli: Happy March Madness.
- 0:44Dayna Roselli: Can I start with a quick gripe though?
- 0:46Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 0:46Dayna Roselli: The cost of my Wendy's Diet Coke.
- 0:48Sean McAllister: Uh-oh.
- 0:50Sean McAllister: What was it?
- 0:51Dayna Roselli: I got a medium Diet Coke.
- 0:54Dayna Roselli: That's it.
- 0:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 0:55Dayna Roselli: Drove through Wendy's because we just left our meeting.
- 0:58Dayna Roselli: Um, we're on the board of the Ronald McDonald house, and there was wings and pizza, and I had a water, but I was like, I really want Diet Coke after that.
- 1:05Dayna Roselli: Anyway, uh, three dollars and fifty-seven cents.
- 1:08Dayna Roselli: Three.
- 1:08Dayna Roselli: For a medium soda.
- 1:11Sean McAllister: Wow.
- 1:12Dayna Roselli: From the machine with ice.
- 1:15Sean McAllister: With lots of ice?
- 1:16Sean McAllister: Did they load it up with ice?
- 1:17Dayna Roselli: Well, I hope not because um, because that cuts down in the soda, yeah.
- 1:21Dayna Roselli: No, but anyway, can you believe it?
- 1:22Dayna Roselli: I mean, like, I get like coffee being around$4.28.
- 1:26Dayna Roselli: You know, you're brewing the coffee, it's your your, you know, whether it's even locally owned or Starbucks, like they make the coffee there, the person does it, they pour in your almond milk, stir it, put it together.
- 1:40Dayna Roselli: But this like comes out of a machine.
- 1:43Dayna Roselli: Somebody hooked up the tank, carbon tank or whatever.
- 1:47Dayna Roselli: Anyway, isn't that crazy?
- 1:49Dayna Roselli: So three dollars and fifty-seven cents for a medium.
- 1:53Sean McAllister: Now, did that include a convenience fee for going through the drive-thru?
- 1:57Dayna Roselli: I have no idea.
- 1:58Sean McAllister: I wonder if it would have been cheaper if you walked in.
- 2:00unknown: I don't know.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: Regardless, I was very disappointed.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: Well, I know.
- 2:03Dayna Roselli: So, anyway, it was through Wendy's.
- 2:06Dayna Roselli: Um, and I didn't even we don't have a lot of Wendy's around here, and that's why it looked familiar.
- 2:10Dayna Roselli: So I was like, Wendy's, we had so many of those on the East Coast, and I went through and anyway.
- 2:15Sean McAllister: Well, guess who's not going back to Wendy's anytime soon?
- 2:17Dayna Roselli: Me.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: Lesson learned.
- 2:19Dayna Roselli: Lesson learned.
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: All right, back to March Madness.
- 2:21Dayna Roselli: It's a big deal here in Las Vegas because everyone comes in to watch games, bet games, and we have so many events up and down and off the strip.
- 2:28Sean McAllister: Yeah, we do, and there's so many groups of people who come in.
- 2:33Sean McAllister: You know, there's friends who live in different parts of the countries who converge on Las Vegas for especially for these first few days of games, and then you know, the tournament continues through the beginning of April.
- 2:46Sean McAllister: Um, but these few days really are the most exciting.
- 2:51Sean McAllister: And I fortunately here in Las Vegas, we have the weather where you can watch poolside.
- 2:55Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 2:56Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be okay, so I know you're doing like a bunch of March Madness stuff.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: Well, gonna watch the games on Friday, and on that day, 75 and sunny, which is perfect, right?
- 3:06Dayna Roselli: Really?
- 3:06Dayna Roselli: So I saw this and I thought, okay, the pool at Sahara is doing an event.
- 3:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's an ultimate outdoor viewing party for all of the basketball games starting at 8:30 each day.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: Wow, that's great.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I guess you know, they're gonna broadcast to the tournament on that big 240-foot-long LED video wall that they have, and then have smaller screens.
- 3:32Dayna Roselli: Um, they're gonna have like tailgate style games, some cornholes, some beer pong, um, and then a bunch of activations, and it's free to get in.
- 3:41Dayna Roselli: I mean, general admission.
- 3:43Sean McAllister: That's great.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so I thought that was a good option.
- 3:45Dayna Roselli: Then I mean Caesar sent us a whole list of things they're doing, and I know we've talked about a million things.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: Like literally everywhere is, you know, having an event.
- 3:53Dayna Roselli: Um, and it's hard to choose, but there's plenty to pick from.
- 3:56Dayna Roselli: But browse around, and if you're coming into town, and then you said um games will continue, obviously, but this is like the big, big Well, this is like when you're looking at the bracket.
- 4:07Dayna Roselli: The madness.
- 4:08Sean McAllister: We're looking at the the far right and the far left side of those brackets where all of those games are.
- 4:15Sean McAllister: As you get as you get closer to the center of your bracket, obviously there's fewer games being played, and fewer games means less game time on TV.
- 4:24Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 4:25Sean McAllister: So that's the exciting part is that the games are just about non-stop uh in these first few days in the outside of the brackets.
- 4:33Sean McAllister: So, yes, I'm looking forward to being out.
- 4:35Sean McAllister: I've not made official plans yet.
- 4:37Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 4:38Sean McAllister: I don't know exactly where we're gonna end up to watch the games on on that Friday.
- 4:44Dayna Roselli: Okay, well, you'll have to report back and tell us how it how it was.
- 4:48Sean McAllister: I absolutely will.
- 4:49Dayna Roselli: This is a big one.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: The Luxor buffet is closing, and this is all the buzz in Las Vegas.
- 4:55Dayna Roselli: Because I also, as a Vegas insider, did not realize this that it's been there for more than 30 years.
- 5:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, I didn't realize I honestly didn't realize that it was still open.
- 5:05Dayna Roselli: I know, true.
- 5:06Dayna Roselli: Well, I mean, that's the thing.
- 5:07Dayna Roselli: It's like everyone's upset it's closing, and then you're always like, Well, wait, did you go there?
- 5:11Sean McAllister: Yeah, how often are you there?
- 5:12Sean McAllister: Is this like your Sunday routine hitting up the buffet over there?
- 5:16Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 5:16Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 5:17Dayna Roselli: Well, um, apparently, people who have gone there, I've never been.
- 5:20Dayna Roselli: I've been to the one at Xcaliber, but not Luxor.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: Um, they say it's one of the most fun buffets in town, apparently.
- 5:27Dayna Roselli: Um, and we're also letting you know because you have to March 30th to go.
- 5:30Dayna Roselli: So if you haven't been like us, you might want to get over there before March 30th.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: And um, but it it's you know, definitely like I guess it's like the Egyptian style and like the whole thing.
- 5:41Dayna Roselli: Um, but it's also only open 8 a.m.
- 5:44Dayna Roselli: to 2 p.m.
- 5:45Dayna Roselli: So like a breakfast-lunch type thing.
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: Um, but you know, as the kind of buffet is starting to go away, there were a few staples, and I guess this was one of them, and people are kind of bummed that it's closing.
- 5:59Sean McAllister: Well, and it's a pretty good value as far as buffets go.
- 6:02Sean McAllister: Uh, it's 30 about 32 bucks for adults to get into the buffet if you're a Nevada local and have your ID 27 bucks.
- 6:13Sean McAllister: Um, but compared to some other buffets that we have on the strip, they're more of the luxury buffet, and those can be like 75, 80 bucks and upwards.
- 6:24Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 6:24Dayna Roselli: So, what's the point?
- 6:25Dayna Roselli: Well, I guess you have more variety of food and you can get up and get it and refill when you and I mean you can go in and get your have as many crab legs as you want.
- 6:34Sean McAllister: Right.
- 6:34Sean McAllister: And like get that high you can get fill your plate with prime prime rib and do all of that kind of stuff to make it worth your money.
- 6:44Sean McAllister: But that's the reason I generally don't go to buffets because I don't feel like I can eat enough in one sitting to make it to make it worth it.
- 6:54Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 6:54Sean McAllister: You know, and I'm definitely not rolling in there with Tupperware to like fill up and take it home.
- 6:59Dayna Roselli: And I feel like they probably don't allow that anymore.
- 7:02Dayna Roselli: No, they probably don't.
- 7:02Dayna Roselli: There's cameras everywhere.
- 7:06Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 7:06Dayna Roselli: Well, if you want to head over to the Luxor buffet, you've got until March 30th, and so could be kind of fun and to to visit it for the first time or revisit it before it closes.
- 7:17Sean McAllister: Uh, we got some new hotel news.
- 7:19Sean McAllister: Yeah, this was out of nowhere, wasn't it?
- 7:21Sean McAllister: It kind of was.
- 7:21Sean McAllister: It kind of snuck up on us.
- 7:23Sean McAllister: We woke up one day and all of a sudden Lisa Vanderpump, the reality star from uh she became a household name from the real housewives of Beverly Hills.
- 7:34Dayna Roselli: Uh-huh.
- 7:34Sean McAllister: But before that, she was a restaurateur, a hotel operator, and she's doing that again here on the Las Vegas Strip with Vanderpump Hotel.
- 7:42Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 7:43Dayna Roselli: Well, Vanderpump Rules is her show, right?
- 7:45Dayna Roselli: Is that a reality show?
- 7:46Sean McAllister: It is.
- 7:46Sean McAllister: That came after all that, okay.
- 7:48Sean McAllister: Uh Beverly Hills Housewives.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: Got it.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: And I think we're surprised because this can't because she had just opened Pinkies at the Flamingo.
- 7:55Sean McAllister: Right.
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: And then another loungish restaurant.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: She's got, you know, uh lounge restaurant at Paris.
- 8:01Dayna Roselli: Uh Vanderpump Paris, is that right?
- 8:03Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 8:04Dayna Roselli: And then the cocktail garden at Caesars Paris.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: Caesars, yeah.
- 8:07Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, she's just pumping them out.
- 8:10Dayna Roselli: She is pumping them out.
- 8:11Dayna Roselli: She's Vanderpumping them out.
- 8:13Dayna Roselli: And uh now she's she's opening a hotel.
- 8:15Dayna Roselli: But here's what's happening, the Cromwell.
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: If you if you've been to the Cromwell or you visited Las Vegas, um, you um may have been there and realized, okay, this is kind of a standalone hotel.
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: It's part of the Caesars, you know, properties, Giata's in there, Dre's pool club, and nightclub's in there.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: And it's got actually a really nice casino floor.
- 8:36Dayna Roselli: Um, but she's gonna be basically refurbishing it and it will open as the Vanderpump hotel.
- 8:44Dayna Roselli: So you ask, well, what is she gonna do to it that's gonna make it different?
- 8:47Sean McAllister: What is she gonna do to make it different, Dana?
- 8:49Dayna Roselli: Well, she's bringing her aesthetic and her distinctive design uh to enhance the hotel reception area, the front desk area.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: She's gonna introduce an all-new lounge and then redesign the 188 guest rooms and suites.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: And apparently it's gonna feature some of her signature light fixtures and furnishings and all that kind of thing.
- 9:14Dayna Roselli: And then she personally is going to hand select the amenities for hotel guests.
- 9:21Sean McAllister: Oh, I'm interested to see what Lisa will hand select.
- 9:25Sean McAllister: Right now, this property is unique on the Las Vegas strip, it's essentially a boutique hotel tucked in between all of these other massive resorts that we have on Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 9:38Sean McAllister: So I I think it's a really smart idea to have Lisa take this over, have a a name, a star attached to it.
- 9:47Sean McAllister: It's going to bring people in.
- 9:49Sean McAllister: I mean, if you go to any of her restaurants, whether it's or lounges over at Caesar's Palace or Paris or now Flamingo, like it is packed.
- 9:58Sean McAllister: There is a line of people waiting to get in at just about any time of day.
- 10:04Sean McAllister: And she has her fans and her fans will support her.
- 10:08Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: Even if she's ever had an opening and we've been at it, it's like packed with people trying to get a glimpse shoulder to shoulder, yes.
- 10:15Dayna Roselli: And you know, sometimes if she has friends or cast members from the reality shows show up, like they're all into it.
- 10:21Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 10:22Sean McAllister: So I see much drama.
- 10:24Sean McAllister: There is always drama.
- 10:26Sean McAllister: Drama, there's love triangles, and she has it all on her show.
- 10:29Sean McAllister: And I'm sure that you know, the people who come and visit Vanderpump Hotel might bring their own drama and love triangles, but that's for them to do.
- 10:39Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 10:40Sean McAllister: Not for Lisa.
- 10:40Sean McAllister: Um, I think it's gonna be a hot spot for bachelorette parties for sure and that kind of thing.
- 10:46Sean McAllister: So yeah, good on them.
- 10:47Sean McAllister: I think it's smart.
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 10:49Dayna Roselli: Caesar sent us uh some it's some like b-roll and interviews with Lisa, and so I just want to play a little clip from that um so we can hear from Lisa Vanderpump herself, and she talks about how this is a really big moment for her.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: This is just gonna be something that's so different for the Vanderpump family, because normally we're used to creating something, a restaurant space from the ground up, but now we're actually revisiting a hotel that's a classic boutique hotel on the Las Vegas strip.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: And we're working within the premises of the hotel.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: So it's definitely gonna be something different, but no less exciting for sure.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: I think whatever we do in Bandapampa Lane, as designers, we really commit to it, we really take it very seriously, however playful it is.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: And I always say design, give me anything, but don't give me boring.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: I think one of the most exciting things for me is people always tell me they do the banner pumpkin call and they go from restaurant to restaurant, and they can wake up with me and they can go to sleep with me.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: I think creating the bedrooms and making everything just so perfect is just something I'm very, very excited to discover.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: I think also creating different amenities and leaning into the creativity.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: I think one thing we're known for, especially Vanderpamper Lane, is really taking things to a different level.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: And I think with the Cromwell Hotel, changing that into the Vanderpump Hotel, hey, how could I not be more excited?
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: I never imagined that my name would be on a hotel, on one of the most famous boulevards in the world.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: It's quite extraordinary.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: I think they've got something like 150,000 hotel rooms in Las Vegas.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: It truly is iconic, and it is the playground of America, if not the world.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: As a restaurateur, it's actually been a gift to come to Vegas because I believe Vegas, Las Vegas is the playground of the world.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: And to create these incredible spaces has just been so exhilarating.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: I remember as a young woman coming to Las Vegas and thinking it was like this magical city, something I'd never seen before.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: So to have these um beautiful places in Las Vegas as being a gift professionally, and I think also emotionally, creating these incredible uh venues.
- 13:10Dayna Roselli: And so, Sean, they're describing it as um, if you want to know like the vibe, it's there's gonna be an emphasis on sexy elegance and comfort with gorgeous rooms and a fresh new feel for the casino floor.
- 13:22Sean McAllister: Ooh, and that's this week's vibe check.
- 13:24Dayna Roselli: Yes, that's the vibe check.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: But Lisa sounds really excited because, like she mentioned, you know, when she was a kid, she came here and it just felt like, oh my gosh, Las Vegas.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: And now she's gonna, you know, add on to her, you know, already existing places and actually have a standalone hotel named after her.
- 13:42Dayna Roselli: It's amazing.
- 13:43Sean McAllister: But it is a big deal because and it's different having your name on a lounge than it is to have your name on a hotel on the Las Vegas strip.
- 13:51Sean McAllister: So congratulations to Lisa Vanderpump and Caesars.
- 13:55Sean McAllister: I uh their partnership seems to be going great.
- 13:58Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 13:58Sean McAllister: And I hope this is a continuation of that.
- 14:00Sean McAllister: I think it's something that that fans are really gonna love.
- 14:03Dayna Roselli: So it opens early 2026.
- 14:06Dayna Roselli: So we actually don't have to wait too long for that.
- 14:08Dayna Roselli: So they'll start, you know, refurbishing soon.
- 14:10Sean McAllister: And by the way, uh the property is going to stay open while they're doing uh all of these upgrades.
- 14:16Sean McAllister: So I imagine it'll be a phased thing.
- 14:19Sean McAllister: The whole building isn't shutting down.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: No, and uh as of right now as well, uh Giata is planned to stick stick there and Dre's, so no talk of them closing um anytime soon.
- 14:30Sean McAllister: Hey, a while ago, you may have heard you may remember we talked about this when Beyonce announced her uh big stadium tour, Las Vegas was listed on uh the tour stops, but there were no dates given.
- 14:44Sean McAllister: Right.
- 14:44Sean McAllister: And people were like, Oh, what's gonna happen?
- 14:46Sean McAllister: Is she gonna be at Allegiant Stadium?
- 14:48Sean McAllister: Is Beyonce gonna do a big sphere show?
- 14:51Sean McAllister: Like, uh what is the cryptic message uh that she's trying to send out by uh telling us she's stopping in Las Vegas but not giving us dates?
- 15:00Sean McAllister: Right.
- 15:01Sean McAllister: Well, now we have clarity.
- 15:02Dayna Roselli: I know, but but like I wonder what did take so long.
- 15:05Dayna Roselli: Well, anyway, the show is July 25th at Allegiant Stadium.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: I don't know, we were saying maybe it was a scheduling thing.
- 15:10Dayna Roselli: There's a bunch of shows in July, right?
- 15:12Dayna Roselli: Is that when like the weekend and he's July 4th and 5th?
- 15:17Sean McAllister: I think so, yeah.
- 15:18Dayna Roselli: And then I can't remember when Kendrick Lamar is coming.
- 15:22Dayna Roselli: He might be May anyway.
- 15:24Dayna Roselli: I just feel like there's a lot going on um in the summer for Allegiant Stadium.
- 15:28Dayna Roselli: So anyway, she's now July 25th, and I don't know.
- 15:32Dayna Roselli: We don't know the reason what took so long, but it doesn't really matter.
- 15:34Dayna Roselli: The tickets go on sale uh March 25th at 12 p.m., which is for general, but there's a bunch of beehive pre-sale stuff.
- 15:44Dayna Roselli: No, I'm not in the beehive.
- 15:46Sean McAllister: No.
- 15:46Sean McAllister: My neighbors just had a beehive taken out of their wall.
- 15:50Sean McAllister: Side note.
- 15:51Dayna Roselli: Side note.
- 15:52Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, uh, we talked about this before, too.
- 15:55Dayna Roselli: Rod Stewart added shows this year suddenly.
- 15:57Dayna Roselli: Well, now he's added more shows at the Coliseum.
- 16:00Dayna Roselli: So uh Sir Rod doing, you know, his his new refurbished residency called the Encore Shows that he announced after his other residency.
- 16:11Sean McAllister: He closed one residency and immediately started another.
- 16:14Dayna Roselli: He's adding more Encore shows.
- 16:16Dayna Roselli: Okay, the Encore continues.
- 16:19Dayna Roselli: The six new concerts going on sale uh in September.
- 16:23Dayna Roselli: They've got the 24th, 26th, and 27th on the schedule, and then in October um 1st, 3rd, and 4th.
- 16:29Dayna Roselli: If you want to see Sir Rod Stewart, which we admit puts on a fabulous show.
- 16:33Sean McAllister: He puts on a great show and he's still got tons of energy.
- 16:36Sean McAllister: Good on Rod for keeping that Encore going.
- 16:39Sean McAllister: Keep the applause going for Rod.
- 16:41Sean McAllister: Uh, David Blaine also adding shows.
- 16:43Sean McAllister: Uh, he's performing over at the Encore Theater at Win Las Vegas.
- 16:48Sean McAllister: The new performance dates are July 23rd, 25th, and 26th.
- 16:54Sean McAllister: And then there's other dates uh into mid-November.
- 16:57Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 16:57Sean McAllister: Uh all those show times are 8 p.m.
- 17:00Sean McAllister: Um before when we announced that he was coming back to Encore, those dates are coming up this spring in April.
- 17:07Sean McAllister: Um, but now we know that he's sticking around with more dates through uh late fall.
- 17:13Dayna Roselli: I feel like every time he does a run, like I do see a lot of buzz about it.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: Like people who haven't been before and go or like this was my mind was absolutely blown.
- 17:22Sean McAllister: It's just such a different kind of magic show.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:26Sean McAllister: That nobody, no other magician on the strip is like David Blaine's show.
- 17:30Sean McAllister: Which is cool.
- 17:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it is cool.
- 17:33Dayna Roselli: Hey, I you know, I just like seeing Ringo Star hanging out in Vegas, and I'm glad he's coming back.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: And he's doing a bunch of shows too.
- 17:39Dayna Roselli: Six performances actually scheduled uh at the Venetian, September 17th, 19th, 20, 24, 26, 27.
- 17:48Dayna Roselli: Um, this is cool to see Ringo in town.
- 17:51Dayna Roselli: It's Ringo and his all-star band.
- 17:53Dayna Roselli: We can't leave them out.
- 17:54Dayna Roselli: Um, but they're gonna be back at the Venetian doing shows, and I think that's cool.
- 17:58Dayna Roselli: It's the third year in a row for them.
- 18:00Dayna Roselli: And I don't know.
- 18:01Dayna Roselli: I just remember watching him like stop in and see the cast of love before they closed.
- 18:06Dayna Roselli: And he was just so gracious and you know, complimentary, and people seemed excited to see him.
- 18:11Dayna Roselli: I mean, he's you know iconic.
- 18:13Sean McAllister: He is iconic, and he is no stranger to Las Vegas either.
- 18:16Sean McAllister: I feel like just when I think Ringo sightings have died down.
- 18:21Sean McAllister: Oh, he's coming back with more shows.
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 18:24Sean McAllister: And I love it.
- 18:24Dayna Roselli: I know that is really cool.
- 18:26Sean McAllister: Keep him coming, Ringo.
- 18:28Dayna Roselli: Hey, we did get a question.
- 18:29Dayna Roselli: Uh, you can always text us in our show notes.
- 18:32Dayna Roselli: It says text us, and a text comes in right to us.
- 18:35Dayna Roselli: We don't get your phone number, we don't get your name.
- 18:36Dayna Roselli: You can enter whatever you want to enter.
- 18:38Dayna Roselli: But we actually got a question on our website this week, and we could hold this closer to the holidays, but we figured uh we'd address it real quick.
- 18:45Dayna Roselli: It's from Ollie, and he says, I have a question for the show.
- 18:50Dayna Roselli: Uh, love the show, by the way, he says.
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: Thanks, Ollie.
- 18:53Dayna Roselli: I know, thanks, Ollie.
- 18:54Dayna Roselli: Um, he says, I live in the UK and he's booked a trip um for his wife and him.
- 19:02Dayna Roselli: It says surprise.
- 19:03Dayna Roselli: So I'm like, if the wife listens, maybe she doesn't.
- 19:05Dayna Roselli: I feel like Ollie listens and the wife doesn't.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: So booked a surprise trip.
- 19:09Dayna Roselli: Let's hope.
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: Otherwise, surprise.
- 19:13Dayna Roselli: Um, anyway, he's gonna fly out the day after Christmas and stay through um for the holidays.
- 19:19Dayna Roselli: He just wanted some hints and tips on any insights we may have for things to do during that holiday week that will be fun slash romantic slash exciting.
- 19:30Dayna Roselli: He's staying at Caesar's Palace.
- 19:32Dayna Roselli: So we sit there and we go, I mean, first of all, which we kind of need to know is he if he's ever been here before, but assuming he hasn't or maybe even decided when you go fun, romantic, exciting, I feel like you and I have the standards that you just have to do.
- 19:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 19:47Dayna Roselli: And so I was just gonna mention you need to go on a Venetian gondola ride.
- 19:51Dayna Roselli: You need to go check out the beautiful Bellagio Conservatory, especially at holiday time, um, because they do a fantastic holiday display.
- 20:01Dayna Roselli: All fresh flowers, moving parts.
- 20:03Dayna Roselli: It's just beautiful.
- 20:04Dayna Roselli: It's free, it's open 24-7.
- 20:07Dayna Roselli: And then I was thinking maybe dinner at the top of the Eiffel Tower if you want to splurge.
- 20:11Dayna Roselli: It's pricey, but so romantic.
- 20:13Sean McAllister: It is.
- 20:13Sean McAllister: That's beautiful up there.
- 20:14Sean McAllister: It is a great view.
- 20:16Sean McAllister: You have the fountains of Bellagio going off right down underneath you.
- 20:20Dayna Roselli: It's great.
- 20:21Sean McAllister: F1 track setup is probably gonna be nearly taken down by that point.
- 20:26Dayna Roselli: True.
- 20:26Dayna Roselli: It should be.
- 20:27Dayna Roselli: It should be.
- 20:28Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 20:28Dayna Roselli: And it's like dark and like romantic, yeah.
- 20:31Dayna Roselli: Moody, yeah.
- 20:32Dayna Roselli: I think that's good.
- 20:33Dayna Roselli: And then um LA 66 at the top of Resorts World is a great place for a drink and a really cool view.
- 20:40Dayna Roselli: Same thing in the evening time.
- 20:42Dayna Roselli: It's dark, the you know, the view is gorgeous, it's uh nice little, you know, definitely a great lounge.
- 20:49Dayna Roselli: And then I was thinking maybe go to Carbone for dinner because Carbone's, you know, a hard reservation to get.
- 20:55Sean McAllister: So make a reservation now for Christmas.
- 20:57Dayna Roselli: So see, answering this now makes sense.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it does.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: Ollie, book Carbone.
- 21:02Dayna Roselli: It's hard to get a reservation.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: It's at Aria.
- 21:05Dayna Roselli: It's Italian, it's fantastic.
- 21:07Dayna Roselli: I love it there.
- 21:09Dayna Roselli: Um, so that's a good idea.
- 21:11Dayna Roselli: And then, you know, we were saying there's so many different things.
- 21:13Dayna Roselli: Like, we don't know yet what some of the headliners um will be doing.
- 21:18Dayna Roselli: Like sometimes people do Christmas shows, those are always great.
- 21:20Dayna Roselli: Pick one, you know.
- 21:21Dayna Roselli: We have a lot of great singers that come in, um, dancers, all sorts of stuff that do special things.
- 21:26Dayna Roselli: So we'll have to wait on that one.
- 21:28Dayna Roselli: But there's obviously tons of um holiday displays around the ice rinks are open.
- 21:33Dayna Roselli: Um, Fountain Blue did one last year, Cosmopolitan has one.
- 21:36Dayna Roselli: You can roast marshmallows and a fire pit and have cocktails and ice skate.
- 21:40Sean McAllister: Because my sister came and stayed with us uh over Christmas this past Christmas.
- 21:46Sean McAllister: Right.
- 21:46Sean McAllister: And she stayed down on the strip for a couple nights and absolutely loved just roaming around.
- 21:54Sean McAllister: Made a day of casino hopping, not to necessarily play, but to just See all of the sites because it is so pretty at Christmas time.
- 22:04Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 22:04Sean McAllister: And so one of the things I would suggest we have those double decker uh buses that go up and down the Las Vegas strip and even downtown.
- 22:13Sean McAllister: Right.
- 22:13Sean McAllister: Uh down near Fremont Street, too.
- 22:15Sean McAllister: Anyway, you can uh buy a hop on, hop off pass that's good all day long.
- 22:21Sean McAllister: Right so that you can just go hop on the bus, you know, take it to uh whatever resort is closest to where you want to be next, hop off, and then just keep doing that throughout the day, and you don't have to worry about getting Ubers, getting a taxi, all that kind of thing.
- 22:35Sean McAllister: You just go to the bus stop, and that's a good alternative, also.
- 22:39Dayna Roselli: Sure, yeah, why not?
- 22:41Dayna Roselli: Because you know, the walking it looks like it's easy to walk, and it can be, but it's the strip is long.
- 22:47Sean McAllister: Speaking of walking, can I just tell you every single time, every time I drive past the airport to get on the highway, I see somebody who is walking with their luggage who thought it was a good idea to save some cash and walk to the airport.
- 23:04Sean McAllister: Oh my god, that is a bad, bad, bad idea.
- 23:07Sean McAllister: If you ever consider it, immediately squash that thought because A, it is not close.
- 23:15Sean McAllister: You're gonna be walking forever and you'll probably miss your flight.
- 23:18Sean McAllister: Right.
- 23:19Sean McAllister: B, it is very dangerous.
- 23:21Sean McAllister: The roads that lead into the airport are not designed for any sort of pedestrian traffic at all.
- 23:27Dayna Roselli: And that's a long stretch.
- 23:29Sean McAllister: That's when you enter the airport, yes, like to get to the drive it, it's long farms you around.
- 23:36Sean McAllister: You're like you're not going direct to the to the passenger drop-off area.
- 23:41Sean McAllister: Right.
- 23:42Sean McAllister: So don't walk to the airport and consider taking transportation between major resorts, especially from one end of the strip to the next.
- 23:53Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 23:53Sean McAllister: Because it really is not close.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: It's not.
- 23:56Dayna Roselli: And you know, you can take a taxi or Uber.
- 23:58Dayna Roselli: Taxi back and forth to the strip now has that fixed kind of fixed rate.
- 24:04Dayna Roselli: Right fixed rate, yeah.
- 24:06Dayna Roselli: So it a lot of people think they're gonna get like gouge, and you can't really anymore.
- 24:10Dayna Roselli: Um, but you know, that's like to hotels and to the airport, like that, just back and forth.
- 24:15Dayna Roselli: So I don't know.
- 24:16Dayna Roselli: And Uber Lyft, I mean, you know, it's worth it.
- 24:19Sean McAllister: It is.
- 24:20Dayna Roselli: You do, yeah.
- 24:21Sean McAllister: And Ollie, just keep listening as the holidays draw closer.
- 24:26Sean McAllister: God, I it's hard to believe we're thinking about holidays.
- 24:30Dayna Roselli: I'm not thinking about the holidays.
- 24:31Sean McAllister: I'm answering Ollie's question and I am and then stopping the holiday thoughts.
- 24:36Dayna Roselli: No, I'm not thinking anything holiday whatsoever.
- 24:42Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 24:42Dayna Roselli: Well, we just gave you a bunch of tips, but let's do more.
- 24:44Dayna Roselli: It's time for our actual tips segment.
- 24:50Dayna Roselli: Well, Sean, next week, the weather report on our phone that we just looked at says it's going to be 87 one day and 89 degrees one day.
- 24:59Sean McAllister: I love it.
- 25:00Dayna Roselli: I we love it, but we were saying it's way too soon.
- 25:02Sean McAllister: It's way too soon.
- 25:04Sean McAllister: This happened last year when it was like the thermostat, the the natural thermostat was switched to heat, and we were just bombarded.
- 25:14Sean McAllister: We didn't have that nice chunk of spring weather.
- 25:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:17Sean McAllister: It just went from cool to hot.
- 25:20Dayna Roselli: We've got that this week.
- 25:21Dayna Roselli: We're in the 70s, and then it goes to the 80s, high 80s.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: But I think it'll go back down again.
- 25:26Dayna Roselli: Let's hope.
- 25:26Dayna Roselli: I mean, a little bit.
- 25:27Dayna Roselli: I mean, because the high 70s and low 80s are beautiful.
- 25:31Dayna Roselli: That's perfect.
- 25:32Dayna Roselli: It's great layout weather.
- 25:33Dayna Roselli: But listen, start to get the base tan, all that kind of thing.
- 25:36Dayna Roselli: But pools are open here in Las Vegas.
- 25:38Dayna Roselli: We mention it all the time.
- 25:39Dayna Roselli: Um, just wanted to quickly um mention to you, our listeners, that if you are coming into Las Vegas, a lot of time people like to try different pools, or they want to know, like, hey, can I go to this pool?
- 25:51Dayna Roselli: And I can I go to that pool.
- 25:53Dayna Roselli: And usually the pools at resorts are limited to just, you know, the guests that are staying at the hotel.
- 25:58Sean McAllister: You need to show a room key or something like that.
- 26:01Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 26:01Dayna Roselli: But Palm's pool um has a great thing going.
- 26:06Dayna Roselli: It's for locals and also for non-hotel guests, and that is that you can go there for free.
- 26:12Dayna Roselli: No cover.
- 26:13Dayna Roselli: Uh, you can park there for free.
- 26:15Dayna Roselli: And then they do have this free cabana program for Las Vegas locals Monday through Thursday, too.
- 26:20Dayna Roselli: So if we have any locals listening, um, but I thought that was really cool.
- 26:23Dayna Roselli: The Palms is just set off the strip, so they have a great pool.
- 26:26Dayna Roselli: It's a little bit more chill and a little bit more relaxed.
- 26:31Sean McAllister: So But it's a nice area out there.
- 26:34Dayna Roselli: Now I'm starting to think, did we do this last week?
- 26:37Dayna Roselli: I feel like I feel like I'm reminiscing reminiscing about having this conversation before.
- 26:43Sean McAllister: Well, I think we had it on the TV show.
- 26:49Dayna Roselli: Maybe.
- 26:50Dayna Roselli: This is funny.
- 26:51Dayna Roselli: Um, we also wanted to mention the Fountain Blue's new uh it's not new.
- 26:55Dayna Roselli: Well, everything's new at the Fountain Blue.
- 26:57Dayna Roselli: Lakote, by the way, over at the Fountain Blue, it's a pool side restaurant.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: Um, they do breakfast, brunch, lunch.
- 27:04Dayna Roselli: That is open to non-hotel guests this year, too.
- 27:07Dayna Roselli: And I think um it's opening, yeah, early April.
- 27:11Dayna Roselli: So keep that in mind.
- 27:12Dayna Roselli: Um, because the Oasis Pool is gorgeous.
- 27:14Dayna Roselli: So you can't go to the pool as a non-hotel guest, but you could go to the cafe.
- 27:18Sean McAllister: And Fountain Blue also at their Oasis Pool is doing uh a summer movie series out there again as well.
- 27:26Sean McAllister: And that uh is open to non-hotel guests also.
- 27:31Sean McAllister: Hey, uh from poolside to lakeside over at uh Bellagio, the lake out in front of there, uh, they have some great restaurants that butt right up to the back side of that lake, and one of them is Prime Steakhouse, which uh is debuting a new era of fountainside dining over there at Bellagio.
- 27:54Sean McAllister: The uh restaurant has a new look, the menu has been reimagined, and it looks absolutely stunning.
- 28:02Sean McAllister: If you've been into Prime for uh dinner before, you know that it always has had like those big, thick, rich fabric choices and all that kind of stuff.
- 28:13Sean McAllister: Well, they've kind of lightened up the atmosphere a little bit.
- 28:17Sean McAllister: Um and they have a huge patio that overlooks the fountains as well.
- 28:23Sean McAllister: So prime is another one of those spots maybe Ollie could look into.
- 28:28Sean McAllister: It's a prime spot.
- 28:30Sean McAllister: It is a prime spot, it has that name for several reasons.
- 28:34Dayna Roselli: Well, and that's the thing.
- 28:36Dayna Roselli: I feel like sometimes people do ask about like where can I sit to see the fountains?
- 28:40Dayna Roselli: And I feel like for years people would say places across the street from, right, but never at Bellagio.
- 28:47Dayna Roselli: And like you really have to, you do, you have to dig deep to find the patios.
- 28:52Dayna Roselli: And I I don't know, I feel like that maybe they're trying to make it special with that.
- 28:56Dayna Roselli: You know, it's not all out there, it's not for it's they're not pushing it all the time.
- 29:00Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 29:00Dayna Roselli: Um, because it is a hot ticket, too.
- 29:02Dayna Roselli: But like Spago, then Lago, and then Prime, and there are restaurants.
- 29:08Sean McAllister: Mayfair Supper Club, yeah, right along there, too.
- 29:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so there are places that have, you know, patio seating in front of the Bellagio fountains at the Bellagio.
- 29:19Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 29:19Dayna Roselli: Not always just across the street, because everyone always talks about, you know, the Paris um restaurant there.
- 29:24Dayna Roselli: Monomiga.
- 29:25Dayna Roselli: Monomiga B, yeah, where you can see the fountain.
- 29:27Dayna Roselli: That's a great spot too, and a classic, longtime classic.
- 29:29Dayna Roselli: So um, but there are places there.
- 29:31Dayna Roselli: So I'm excited.
- 29:32Dayna Roselli: I'm glad that they didn't close Prime, they just reimagined it, gave it a little refresh, and it's back.
- 29:38Sean McAllister: And it's a great steakhouse, too.
- 29:40Sean McAllister: So you're not gonna go wrong with anything over there at Prime.
- 29:45Sean McAllister: That is this week's episode.
- 29:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we mention all the time what things look like.
- 29:48Dayna Roselli: So again, we do put a lot of stuff in our TV show.
- 29:51Dayna Roselli: You can go to our YouTube channel.

- 30:46Dayna Roselli: It's just that you really need to actually download it and spend some time surfing around because you'll find some really useful things.
- 30:53Dayna Roselli: One time I looked at something and it said like show in progress.

- 31:03Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's just really, really helpful.
