- 0:00Speaker 1: Tony Kats The Morning News ninety three WIBC. My name
- 0:04Speaker 1: is Craig Collins, filling in, thrilled to be with you,
- 0:07Speaker 1: lots and lots of stuff to talk about. It is
- 0:09Speaker 1: time for our Popcorn Moment, brought to you by Booer
- 0:12Speaker 1: Home Remodeling.
- 0:14Speaker 2: We do that, Yeah, we do. There we go, We
- 0:16Speaker 2: do the bet.
- 0:18Speaker 1: This popcorn Moment is doctor Fauci saying the fifth one
- 0:22Speaker 1: hundred and eleven times. I've actually jumped ahead to time
- 0:24Speaker 1: number four because there's an S word in this clip
- 0:27Speaker 1: that Fox News put up on social media. But we'll
- 0:30Speaker 1: play several of them, Doctor Anthony Fauci, even when asked
- 0:34Speaker 1: like is there a folder in front of you?
- 0:36Speaker 2: What color is the carpet cap? Giving us the same answer.
- 0:39Speaker 3: On the Advisive Council, I respectfully decline to answer, based
- 0:42Speaker 3: upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.
- 0:45Speaker 3: On the Advisive Council, I respectfully declined to answer, respectfully
- 0:48Speaker 3: declined to answerspectfully declined to answer, respectfully declined to and
- 0:53Speaker 3: subpectfully the client to a substate. I respectfully declined to
- 0:59Speaker 3: and s based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment
- 1:02Speaker 3: to the Constitution.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Well color tie you're wearing them?
- 1:04Speaker 3: On the Advisive Council, I respectfully declined to and sebasted
- 1:08Speaker 3: upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.
- 1:11Speaker 4: What color is the carpet in front of you?
- 1:13Speaker 3: On the Advisive Council, I respectfully declined to and sebbasted
- 1:16Speaker 3: upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.
- 1:19Speaker 3: On the Avisive Council of Council.
- 1:22Speaker 5: Council that.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I think you get it.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I think you understand one hundred and eleven times, doctor
- 1:31Speaker 1: Anthony Fauci said on the Advisive Council, I respect I
- 1:33Speaker 1: feel like at some point, and I saw people saying this,
- 1:36Speaker 1: you should have just put like a robot version of
- 1:38Speaker 1: him up there, or like a polstering toy and just
- 1:41Speaker 1: do it that way. If he wasn't going to say
- 1:42Speaker 1: anything other than that, we could just do the highlight
- 1:46Speaker 1: version of it. But hopefully this is, as I've said before,
- 1:49Speaker 1: and it'll say again, the beginning and not the end
- 1:51Speaker 1: of a story that involves him getting in a whole
- 1:53Speaker 1: lot of trouble for a lot of the terrible things
- 1:55Speaker 1: that he did for years during COVID that many people
- 1:59Speaker 1: saw originally, and many people were told to shut up
- 2:02Speaker 1: when they said that they saw it, and they said
- 2:05Speaker 1: that everybody else should be paying attention. All right, other
- 2:07Speaker 1: things out there that I thought were interesting. I referenced
- 2:10Speaker 1: this a little bit ago. A brand new study says
- 2:12Speaker 1: that ten minutes of listening to birds singing, especially in
- 2:16Speaker 1: the morning, but at any time of day, can melt
- 2:19Speaker 1: any amount of stress that you have. And actually, I'm
- 2:21Speaker 1: supposed to play this little sound effect that we have here.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Let's do this. Just listen to this if you're feeling.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Stressed, if you're mad about Fauci and how he handled
- 2:32Speaker 1: that congressional testimony the other.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Day, just bird surfing.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Do we all get relaxed by this? Is this something
- 2:40Speaker 1: that works for everybody?
- 2:41Speaker 6: No, I've learned to get relaxed by emergency vehicles screaming
- 2:44Speaker 6: by my apartment here in in Dianapolis.
- 2:46Speaker 4: That relaxes me. Just fine. Birds kind of scare me.
- 2:49Speaker 4: It kind of makes me think about in the wilderness
- 2:50Speaker 4: and might get attacked by birds.
- 2:52Speaker 5: You know.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't like them either. Man.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I love that that's where you went with this, because
- 2:55Speaker 1: that's the road I wanted to go with it. We
- 2:57Speaker 1: have one that shows up directly outside or when in
- 3:01Speaker 1: my house here in Texas, which I don't know why.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I feel like it's trying to do like the Disney
- 3:06Speaker 1: Princess Wake Up for my wife, but it just annoys
- 3:09Speaker 1: the hell out me, and I want it to go
- 3:10Speaker 1: away as soon as possible. And she loves it. She's like, oh,
- 3:13Speaker 1: listen to the birds, and I'm like, yeah, I'd rather
- 3:15Speaker 1: they leave forever.
- 3:17Speaker 4: By a bird.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Have either of us been attacked by a bird?
- 3:20Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 3:21Speaker 2: No, mat no, no, Yeah, I'm worried. What I'm very.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Excited about what's going to happen next. I feel like
- 3:28Speaker 1: the answer for Carl's going.
- 3:29Speaker 2: To be yes.
- 3:30Speaker 7: Yeah. So okay, I didn't realize how aggressive the red
- 3:36Speaker 7: winged blackbird is. Those are the blackbirds that have like
- 3:40Speaker 7: kind of the military stripes on the on the feathers.
- 3:42Speaker 7: I don't know if I'm sure the listeners know who
- 3:44Speaker 7: I'm talking about. But one day I'm just walking down
- 3:47Speaker 7: the trail and I hear this whush right by my head.
- 3:50Speaker 7: I'm like, oh, that must have been just something that
- 3:53Speaker 7: I was misunderstanding.
- 3:54Speaker 2: And then it did it again.
- 3:57Speaker 7: Oh and the next day it did it again. So
- 4:01Speaker 7: the advice on Google is to avoid the trail, which
- 4:05Speaker 7: I didn't, or stand your ground. You stare at it
- 4:09Speaker 7: and it understands that you're the bigger.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Dog atacked grizzly bear.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:15Speaker 6: Yes, like picturing a bird with a machete coming after Carl.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Sat attacked by a bird or a rabbit beaver. Yeah,
- 4:23Speaker 4: maybe you know.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I realized that I just lied a second ago because
- 4:27Speaker 1: when you asked, have I ever been attacked by bird?
- 4:29Speaker 4: No?
- 4:30Speaker 2: No, no, I have been attacked by bat.
- 4:31Speaker 1: That was the thing when you said that, I thought
- 4:34Speaker 1: you meant just a wild bird. We did have a
- 4:37Speaker 1: bird pet, and I feel like I talked about this
- 4:39Speaker 1: on this radio show too when it happened. This is
- 4:40Speaker 1: years ago. It's before I got my dog. My wife
- 4:43Speaker 1: was interested in potentially getting a different pet. So we
- 4:46Speaker 1: went to a pet store and she picked a bird
- 4:48Speaker 1: and we take the thing home and we found out
- 4:51Speaker 1: that it had made it with one of the other
- 4:52Speaker 1: birds in the cage, so it was so angry that
- 4:55Speaker 1: it was now separated from its mate. And they told
- 4:58Speaker 1: us that the best thing you do with is like
- 5:00Speaker 1: you take it out of the cage occasionally and you
- 5:02Speaker 1: let it fly around or do whatever. In the house.
- 5:05Speaker 2: It would just attack the hell out of us, Carl.
- 5:07Speaker 2: It was crazy.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Every time it came out, it was so angry, and
- 5:12Speaker 1: so we returned it after like three days. And the
- 5:15Speaker 1: funniest part was when we were returning it back to
- 5:16Speaker 1: the pet store, They're like, yeah, we got the.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Other one back too.
- 5:19Speaker 1: They were really mad that they were separated, and I
- 5:22Speaker 1: was like, well, that's lovely for them, horrible for us
- 5:25Speaker 1: that you let that happen. And I remember how upset
- 5:27Speaker 1: my wife was like, why does that bird hate us
- 5:29Speaker 1: so much? And I'm like, I don't know, but at
- 5:31Speaker 1: least it got us the dog. The win of that
- 5:34Speaker 1: was that inevitably were like, all right, regular pet, let's
- 5:36Speaker 1: go with a dog.
- 5:37Speaker 6: I can understand like a pet parrot. You know, you
- 5:39Speaker 6: can give it some booms and you don't teach it
- 5:42Speaker 6: to swear. I mean, that's fun. But you say, well,
- 5:44Speaker 6: you gotta let the bird out of the cage. You
- 5:45Speaker 6: never get the bird back once it's out of the cage, Okay,
- 5:48Speaker 6: it's not coming back.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You guys are just inspiring other things. So the other
- 5:53Speaker 1: day we went to Sam's Club. My wife had this
- 5:56Speaker 1: like benefit with her company, that we get like a
- 5:58Speaker 1: free Sam's Club membership.
- 5:59Speaker 2: She didn't know about, so we just did it.
- 6:01Speaker 1: And she saw a little boy like eight nine years
- 6:03Speaker 1: old walking around with a parrot on his shoulder, and
- 6:06Speaker 1: she was.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Amazed by it.
- 6:07Speaker 1: And I was like, this feels either very Texas, just
- 6:10Speaker 1: very strange. But it was just a kid and a parrot. Now,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I don't think there were parents anywhere around. I think
- 6:15Speaker 1: he might have what were we.
- 6:16Speaker 4: To say, hello?
- 6:18Speaker 2: Yeah, right, those kind of talking parrots, right exactly.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I think the kid at eight years old hopped in
- 6:22Speaker 1: the car and drove to SAMs on his own and
- 6:24Speaker 1: brought the parrot along and was just kind of walking around.
- 6:27Speaker 2: But it was it was amazing to see.
- 6:28Speaker 1: And I don't know if part of the reason that
- 6:30Speaker 1: no one was like walking up to the kid and
- 6:32Speaker 1: making sure he was okay is that he seemed fine
- 6:34Speaker 1: and he had his own pet parrot with him, so
- 6:36Speaker 1: hopefully that was fine. But yeah, that's the first time
- 6:39Speaker 1: I've seen that a person a cowboy hat, yeah, I think.
- 6:43Speaker 2: So, yeah, cowboy hat, yeah, the whole thing. But it
- 6:46Speaker 2: was crazy. It was crazy to witness that too.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And I don't know, and I just get flashbacks every
- 6:50Speaker 1: time I see anybody with a pet bird to my bird.
- 6:52Speaker 2: That hated us so so much that it was crazy.
- 6:56Speaker 6: I was a kid with a pet bird. I'm coin cps.
- 6:59Speaker 4: I mean the first episode of the We're going to
- 7:02Speaker 4: get that kid a home, that's what.
- 7:03Speaker 2: There's got to be something going on.
- 7:04Speaker 1: And he was enjoying the free samples the bird and
- 7:07Speaker 1: the child at the Sam's Club, which seemed good.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Other things out there.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Business owner has discovered that he can get packages to
- 7:14Speaker 1: be cheaper by putting rocks in them.
- 7:16Speaker 2: I saw this story. I think I even have some
- 7:18Speaker 2: audio for this one.
- 7:19Speaker 1: The guy has said that he was paying more because
- 7:21Speaker 1: he ships very light packages, and to make him pay
- 7:25Speaker 1: less you got to throw two to five pounds of
- 7:28Speaker 1: rocks into the package.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 7:29Speaker 5: This is a thirteen point one ounce order, bring to Colorado.
- 7:33Speaker 5: It costs seven dollars and sixty cents to ship. Now
- 7:38Speaker 5: let's add some rocks to the order.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Two pounds.
- 7:43Speaker 5: Let me update my weight over here. It now costs
- 7:47Speaker 5: five ninety seven to ship. If you get any free
- 7:50Speaker 5: rocks with your order from Magrit Razors.
- 7:53Speaker 1: That's the reason I don't think this is a good move.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Even if you save a couple bucks as the company.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I really don't think that I want rocks along with
- 7:59Speaker 1: whatever this stuff is that I bought.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Who has time to do all this? That's what I
- 8:03Speaker 4: want to know.
- 8:03Speaker 6: Who has time to really do the measurements and figure
- 8:06Speaker 6: out the cost and trying to save a couple of
- 8:08Speaker 6: bucks that way?
- 8:09Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I don't know.
- 8:10Speaker 1: That's a great question, man, because if you're doing this
- 8:12Speaker 1: one time, you're doing this every single time and making
- 8:14Speaker 1: sure the weight doesn't go too far.
- 8:16Speaker 4: The other way, it's like loading up.
- 8:19Speaker 6: It's like you're getting ready to go on a flight
- 8:20Speaker 6: and you're scrambling with the bags trying to make the
- 8:22Speaker 6: fifty pounds. You know, you're moving this over to your
- 8:24Speaker 6: wife's case, you're moving this over to whoever's sitting next
- 8:27Speaker 6: to you.
- 8:27Speaker 4: I mean, it's the same thing.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Yeah, Now, And what's ridiculous about that with the weighing
- 8:31Speaker 1: a piece of luggage before you go to the airport,
- 8:34Speaker 1: is you never do it right. Like I don't have
- 8:35Speaker 1: a regular scale for that. We do the scale that
- 8:37Speaker 1: we stand on, and so you try to lean the
- 8:39Speaker 1: luggage on the corner just so it's like this.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I know, it's not the right amount of weight.
- 8:44Speaker 1: And I don't know why she keeps yelling at me
- 8:46Speaker 1: because she says I'm not doing it right. But anyway,
- 8:48Speaker 1: my favorite part of the Rock story is how it
- 8:49Speaker 1: would feel to open a package and to have whatever
- 8:52Speaker 1: nice item it is that you wanted, and then a
- 8:54Speaker 1: bunch of rocks. Just I feel like you got to
- 8:56Speaker 1: have something else that could weigh more that you can
- 8:58Speaker 1: put in the box too. That's not just a bunch
- 9:01Speaker 1: of stones or rocks or things someone seemed to pick
- 9:03Speaker 1: up from the ground, right right, right, Yeah, it's gotta
- 9:06Speaker 1: be it's gotta be anything like a nice a nice
- 9:08Speaker 1: little weight, maybe something with your name on it, who knows.
- 9:10Speaker 2: All right, we'll take a break. A lot coming up.
- 9:13Speaker 1: This is Craig Collins filling in ninety three WIBC The
