- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Namous Podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 3: I have one of my very favorite guests and one
- 0:10Speaker 3: of my very favorite Bachelor alum here, Hannah Brown. You
- 0:13Speaker 3: guys know I fangirl of her. She is the bachelorettixtordinaire
- 0:19Speaker 3: who is now one of the cast members in a
- 0:22Speaker 3: way on Bachelor in Paradise. She also has an upcoming
- 0:25Speaker 3: wedding this summer, an upcoming book, The Girl Doesn't Slow Down.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Ben is not with us today, so we are going
- 0:34Speaker 2: to just have some girl chat me and Hannah Brown.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Welcome Hannah Brown, thanks so much for having me. You're welcome.
- 0:41Speaker 2: You're like, I gotta get this through. I gotta get
- 0:43Speaker 2: done with this. I have way too much to be doing,
- 0:45Speaker 2: probably a press tour right now.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Yeah, we're in it, but it's it's so great. I'm
- 0:52Speaker 4: so glad to be here. I always love coming on
- 0:54Speaker 4: the show, so.
- 0:55Speaker 3: I can already predict like how this probably went last
- 0:58Speaker 3: minute back slur Paradise production was like, you know who,
- 1:03Speaker 3: we really need to get on the show to spice
- 1:05Speaker 3: it up, Hannah Brown, And then you were probably like
- 1:08Speaker 3: I can't wait to just slow down before my wedding. Also,
- 1:10Speaker 3: I have a book launch, so I'm not really slowing down.
- 1:13Speaker 3: And then they ask you and you can't turn it down,
- 1:16Speaker 3: of course, and you've probably just been a chicken with
- 1:19Speaker 3: your head cut off.
- 1:20Speaker 4: That is a very good guess.
- 1:24Speaker 3: How do I know Bachelor production so much? Well, they've
- 1:27Speaker 3: all changed out. I'd love to know for you, like,
- 1:30Speaker 3: how was it being a part of the show when
- 1:34Speaker 3: you didn't really know any producers?
- 1:37Speaker 4: It was very different. So I got a call from
- 1:41Speaker 4: a producer that I knew on the show, but wasn't
- 1:43Speaker 4: somebody that was really close with on my season.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I can predict there was there's like one remaining.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Yeah, and I was like, this is like we chat
- 1:53Speaker 4: and I was like she called me, like I love her,
- 1:56Speaker 4: but kind of like a okay. I had no idea
- 2:00Speaker 4: because I've been just kind of separated from it. I
- 2:01Speaker 4: hadn't been like really into all the news of everything,
- 2:05Speaker 4: and come to, you know, find out that it's you know,
- 2:09Speaker 4: a whole new production with new executive producers and all
- 2:13Speaker 4: new producers there. So you know, I got to talk
- 2:16Speaker 4: to the new executive producer and he's great and awesome,
- 2:19Speaker 4: And I would say though it was very interesting, like
- 2:26Speaker 4: going in and like you don't know anybody in a way,
- 2:29Speaker 4: I guess it is kind of It was good too,
- 2:31Speaker 4: I mean there was like pros and cons to it.
- 2:33Speaker 4: I think it definitely felt like the first day of
- 2:37Speaker 4: school in a way for me, because I want.
- 2:39Speaker 3: My teachers at new school. It's like going from middle
- 2:42Speaker 3: school to high school.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Yeah, but it was still so great in it, but
- 2:47Speaker 4: I think it allowed it to be like more of
- 2:49Speaker 4: like a clean slate. But it did like for a second,
- 2:54Speaker 4: I'm like, how do I operate with these people? I
- 2:57Speaker 4: don't really know? But it ended up being wonderful and
- 2:59Speaker 4: I'm so glad it was a part of it. But
- 3:02Speaker 4: definitely like took a little second for me to get
- 3:05Speaker 4: used to instead of like just going back into it,
- 3:07Speaker 4: which is probably good because maybe I didn't like fully
- 3:10Speaker 4: lean into all my like old hand away and then
- 3:13Speaker 4: was able to kind of stay as I am now,
- 3:16Speaker 4: which I want to show up as like a new
- 3:19Speaker 4: version of myself. So yeah, pros and cons for sure.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Tell us everything about the resort you've been to. Both
- 3:27Speaker 3: you've been to the old one and ply Es Candida
- 3:30Speaker 3: and now you've been to this new one in Costa Rica.
- 3:34Speaker 3: This one seems to be like more resorty for the cast.
- 3:39Speaker 3: They have air conditioning and there's two people per room.
- 3:42Speaker 3: It's not like a camping situation.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Tell us.
- 3:45Speaker 4: I feel like people who have been on Bachelor and
- 3:48Speaker 4: Paradise before would be so jealous because it's.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Like they looked beautiful the whole time because they could
- 3:55Speaker 5: go into their air conditioning room and like actually get ready,
- 3:58Speaker 5: and the resort it was like so beautiful and like
- 4:03Speaker 5: definitely an upgrade for the cast, just like overall.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Like living conditions. I mean, I kept hearing them be
- 4:11Speaker 4: like this is amazing. So yeah, very really pumped about it,
- 4:16Speaker 4: and it's just giving it like a fresh new look. Look.
- 4:20Speaker 4: I love Mexico, so I like am partials sometimes to
- 4:24Speaker 4: just I just I can sometimes just be loyal to
- 4:29Speaker 4: same the past. But at the same time, it was
- 4:32Speaker 4: really cool to be a part of this new and
- 4:36Speaker 4: exciting like change, and I think people are really gonna
- 4:40Speaker 4: like it.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Wells has always been the bartender there and now you're
- 4:46Speaker 3: the champagne girl, the bubbly girl, and I think it's
- 4:49Speaker 3: because like you are the most bubbly personality from the
- 4:53Speaker 3: franchise that they're like, oh, let's we have to get
- 4:55Speaker 3: her to run the bubbly bar. So how did you
- 4:58Speaker 3: guys kind of now favigate both of you working in
- 5:02Speaker 3: the same industry.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I never like I've never made a proper
- 5:07Speaker 4: drink before, so there's no kind of like competing in
- 5:11Speaker 4: that way. Like he Wells does his job and does
- 5:14Speaker 4: his job well. But that was not trying to be funny.
- 5:18Speaker 2: But you're not probably the first one that's on that.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Yeah, he he's great, and you know, has been with
- 5:26Speaker 4: the show for so long and so has so much experience.
- 5:29Speaker 4: And I'm just coming in like bright eyed, bushy tail,
- 5:32Speaker 4: like I don't really know what a sister doing, but
- 5:35Speaker 4: I can figure out how to I mean, I can
- 5:37Speaker 4: figure out how to pop some bottles of champagne and
- 5:39Speaker 4: just like get the girls together and so kind of
- 5:44Speaker 4: how it's definitely two separate areas. And it's it's more
- 5:49Speaker 4: just especially what Wells does too, as we know, like
- 5:51Speaker 4: it's it's it's starting more conversation, getting people thinking in
- 5:55Speaker 4: a different way. And so I think Wells does such
- 5:58Speaker 4: a great job at that and I'm just like that
- 6:01Speaker 4: female perspective doing you know, something similar, but the different too,
- 6:09Speaker 4: because we just are two totally different personalities and have
- 6:11Speaker 4: different things. And even when we did have the same
- 6:14Speaker 4: you know, insight coming from like a more feminine energy
- 6:20Speaker 4: versus masculine energy, I think was helpful for the different
- 6:24Speaker 4: cast members at certain times.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Were you on at different times? Was one a night
- 6:30Speaker 2: bartender or one like a morning afternoon one one specializing
- 6:35Speaker 2: in rosset ceremonies, So I would.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Work in the beverage industry only on rose ceremony nights. Okay,
- 6:49Speaker 4: it was more just like rose ceremonies are a little
- 6:52Speaker 4: bit like just I feel like it just like elevates
- 6:55Speaker 4: it starting with you know, glass of champagne and being
- 6:58Speaker 4: able to just like get the conversation going, and then
- 7:01Speaker 4: of course, well it's doing his thing too. But yeah,
- 7:04Speaker 4: we were there were sometimes when we had the same
- 7:06Speaker 4: type of schedule and then other times different.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Did you get to kind of be on vacation a
- 7:12Speaker 2: little bit or at least work from your hotel room
- 7:15Speaker 2: when you when it wasn't ros ceremony day.
- 7:18Speaker 4: So I am not just working rose ceremonies. And I
- 7:22Speaker 4: would do the best way to describe my job as
- 7:26Speaker 4: paradise relations. I kind of just did whatever.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Are you feel? Like, what is like concierge.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Sierge like at on White Lotus, Like that was me
- 7:34Speaker 4: like this random stuff the whole time. And I feel like,
- 7:38Speaker 4: you know, as you know this how bachelor works, like
- 7:43Speaker 4: people were just kind of making it up as we go.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Yeah, And so I feel like my job, even for me,
- 7:51Speaker 4: came more clear just as the weeks went on. But
- 7:57Speaker 4: I was coming in fresh, like everything was new, and
- 8:00Speaker 4: so just trying to figure out dynamics of you know,
- 8:04Speaker 4: how best I could be utilized, Like it took a
- 8:08Speaker 4: little bit to kind of figure that out for everyone,
- 8:10Speaker 4: but that there were some breaks for sure, but just
- 8:15Speaker 4: the way that ship works, and it's kind of different
- 8:20Speaker 4: than I feel I have been in the past because
- 8:23Speaker 4: we were all at the same resort, like you know,
- 8:25Speaker 4: it was like a hot set in a way, and
- 8:27Speaker 4: so you kind of were I was ready at any
- 8:30Speaker 4: time kind of being the concierge paradise relations. So there
- 8:34Speaker 4: was like this like little edge of like, Okay, I
- 8:37Speaker 4: don't need to like golf and explore because I could
- 8:40Speaker 4: be needed at some point. So I wouldn't say it
- 8:44Speaker 4: was a vacation by okay, but I did you get
- 8:47Speaker 4: a good tan And there were definitely days where I
- 8:49Speaker 4: got to lay out by the pool or go on
- 8:51Speaker 4: beat walks, so that was great. But where we are
- 8:55Speaker 4: is pretty rural, right yeah, yeah, so it wasn't like
- 8:59Speaker 4: there was than much you really could do.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Uh huh Okay, So I know obviously you can't tell
- 9:06Speaker 3: us about couples, but let's do our best. So is
- 9:12Speaker 3: there going to be any flirtation between the Goldens and
- 9:18Speaker 3: the Youngins.
- 9:19Speaker 4: I think that there could definitely be a possibility once
- 9:23Speaker 4: you see the cast. I mean, the Goldens are amazing
- 9:27Speaker 4: and they're just like up for anything, and that was
- 9:31Speaker 4: so fun. I know a lot of people have been
- 9:33Speaker 4: like concerned about, like, yeah, are we mixing goldens and yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 4: you know, the typical cast, and they bring so much
- 9:42Speaker 4: fun and they're just up for whatever. So that's kind
- 9:46Speaker 4: of all I can say. But look, it's a bunch
- 9:49Speaker 4: of single men and women who are out on the prowl,
- 9:53Speaker 4: so there's a lot of blurting going on at all times.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Hannah is like just a smile person when she talks,
- 10:01Speaker 3: so I can't say that her smile is super.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Telling here but it's a pretty big smile.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Heard that the Goldens are bigger partiers than the young Ends,
- 10:12Speaker 3: and this is something that doesn't surprise me.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Oh they are. They are so fun. I want to
- 10:21Speaker 4: hang out with the Goldens all the time. The cast
- 10:25Speaker 4: is so great, and I think it's really cool to
- 10:30Speaker 4: have that energy because just now with social media and like,
- 10:36Speaker 4: I think it needs to be even different from like
- 10:38Speaker 4: when you and I were on the show, Like people
- 10:40Speaker 4: care so much about how they're going to be portrayed
- 10:45Speaker 4: and like their image and just about the cameras, and
- 10:47Speaker 4: the Goldens couldn't care less. And it's awesome because having
- 10:54Speaker 4: been there, I feel like they just have so much
- 10:58Speaker 4: wisdom to be like life, y'all are taking this so
- 11:01Speaker 4: seriously and this is such an amazing opportunity that we have.
- 11:04Speaker 4: But they're so grateful and want to like take the
- 11:08Speaker 4: opportunity to like just really be something that they'll cherish
- 11:15Speaker 4: and grow from and find love and and I think
- 11:17Speaker 4: that was really needed to have that energy with some
- 11:21Speaker 4: of the you know, younger typical cast, because I get it,
- 11:25Speaker 4: like it is so hard to be, you know, specially
- 11:30Speaker 4: trying to date and navigate love for like the public eye,
- 11:33Speaker 4: and like, you know, you don't have as much control
- 11:35Speaker 4: over it because it is a TV show, but the
- 11:37Speaker 4: Goldens like just really we're such a added bonus for
- 11:43Speaker 4: just like the fun. But also I think for the
- 11:48Speaker 4: younger contestants to just be like, y'all, are y'all are
- 11:52Speaker 4: not doing something right because they're having way more fun
- 11:55Speaker 4: than you are, and like I feel like that really helped.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Okay, So my theory on that is that the young
- 12:00Speaker 2: ones are looking.
- 12:01Speaker 3: For well, first off, you're just not going to be
- 12:04Speaker 3: as comfortable in your skin at that age, and you
- 12:06Speaker 3: probably are when you're in your sixties. But in addition
- 12:09Speaker 3: to that, they are looking for somebody to like have.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Kids with, like do life with. And then the older ones.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Are looking for somebody just kind of like have fun
- 12:16Speaker 3: with and their last not last chapter.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I mean they're in their sixties most of.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Them, but yeah, no, there's not as much pressure. Yeah, yeah, totally.
- 12:25Speaker 4: I hadn't really thought of it that way, but you're right.
- 12:28Speaker 4: I think they're there and they're like I never would
- 12:32Speaker 4: have thought I would have had this opportunity for like
- 12:35Speaker 4: this second chance at love at this season in my life.
- 12:39Speaker 4: And so yeah, the pressure is not as much there.
- 12:42Speaker 4: They're like this is like such a gift instead.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Of like this is a serious percesess here.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm like, oh my gosh, I've taken off. You
- 12:50Speaker 4: know a lot of people have to like take time
- 12:52Speaker 4: off their jobs, and you know that don't know how
- 12:57Speaker 4: the show's going to end up for them, and it's
- 12:59Speaker 4: not going to If they get to find love, they're great.
- 13:03Speaker 4: But what happens after him they don't. Is that going
- 13:05Speaker 4: to set them behind? Is it gonna what all it's
- 13:08Speaker 4: gonna tell? So you're totally right. I hadn't thought about that,
- 13:12Speaker 4: but I think just to help with the pressure having
- 13:17Speaker 4: the Goldens there, like just reminding them like this it's
- 13:21Speaker 4: so fun and it's it's such a cool opportunity to
- 13:25Speaker 4: be able to like the one thing you're doing for
- 13:30Speaker 4: you know, a month, is hanging out and really hopefully
- 13:35Speaker 4: there with people who are also really intentionally trying to date. Yeah,
- 13:40Speaker 4: it's so cool. I think it's such a cool experience
- 13:43Speaker 4: and fun to be able to be.
- 13:44Speaker 3: A part of Who has more romance? Is it the
- 13:48Speaker 3: Goldens or the Onions Are there more on one side
- 13:51Speaker 3: than the other or is it kind of equally divided,
- 13:54Speaker 3: and then of course tell us how it is divided
- 13:57Speaker 3: in the house or is it not at all?
- 13:59Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, I mean they're they're together, I would say,
- 14:05Speaker 4: but just as we said, like, the Goldens don't have
- 14:09Speaker 4: as much pressure, so I wouldn't say that they they're
- 14:12Speaker 4: having so much fun. And then there's romance because it's
- 14:17Speaker 4: Bachelor in Paradise and there's romance and fun, and so
- 14:20Speaker 4: I would say that even though the show is new
- 14:25Speaker 4: and different, there's a different dynamics it being Costa Rica,
- 14:28Speaker 4: Like I'm involved, there's goldens, there's still a lot of
- 14:31Speaker 4: romance that people are going to see and a lot
- 14:34Speaker 4: of fun. So hopefully the answered your question with the
- 14:39Speaker 4: what I can.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Say, okay, okay, and then I know you're not gonna
- 14:42Speaker 3: be able to answer this, but with your hand of
- 14:45Speaker 3: brown smile.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Are there proposals? Why do I feel like there's a
- 14:48Speaker 2: less pressure of a proposal this time around.
- 14:54Speaker 3: I don't know whether it was the year break, but
- 14:56Speaker 3: for some reason, I feel like that's not necessarily the
- 14:58Speaker 3: goal right now.
- 15:00Speaker 4: I mean, I think that's the hope, you know, like
- 15:02Speaker 4: that's the hope, is that there are relationships that at
- 15:07Speaker 4: the end feel strong and confident about taking that next step.
- 15:13Speaker 4: But what I will say about this time just overall,
- 15:17Speaker 4: is with just this whole new like batch of people
- 15:23Speaker 4: with a different perspective, I do think people will see
- 15:28Speaker 4: a difference of it really is just kind of watching
- 15:33Speaker 4: these people do life, and it's it's kind of it's
- 15:38Speaker 4: it's not like as much pressure just in general. It's
- 15:42Speaker 4: like we want to help in any way possible to
- 15:47Speaker 4: facilitate people falling in love, but we're not going to
- 15:52Speaker 4: there's no like forcing people to do anything they don't
- 15:54Speaker 4: want to do. So yeah, it really it's it's cool
- 16:01Speaker 4: to see, like, you know, if you just let people
- 16:02Speaker 4: be themselves, like it's gonna be entertaining and you're you're
- 16:05Speaker 4: gonna see different dynamics. You're still going to have the
- 16:08Speaker 4: drama and the you know, questioning these big life choices
- 16:13Speaker 4: that you have in such a short amount of time
- 16:15Speaker 4: on the show, Like typically you're never even like thinking about,
- 16:19Speaker 4: you know, getting engaged in a month, and of course
- 16:22Speaker 4: everybody's going in with that on their you know, at
- 16:26Speaker 4: least on their mind, and it's just them having to
- 16:29Speaker 4: navigate how do I feel like where my relationship is?
- 16:33Speaker 4: So yeah, maybe maybe people won't feel as much like
- 16:41Speaker 4: everybody has internal pressure on themselves. But that's what you're
- 16:44Speaker 4: gonna see, is like the internal pressure and questions and
- 16:48Speaker 4: between these couples.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Okay, did you make good friends with any of the
- 17:02Speaker 2: girls any of the guys?
- 17:04Speaker 4: You know, I did not know really anyone.
- 17:09Speaker 3: They should have had Heather there with you, I know,
- 17:12Speaker 3: I know, right, Yeah, that would been fun.
- 17:14Speaker 2: That'd been a nice girl dynamic.
- 17:16Speaker 4: Yeah. I like I said, the whole thing felt like
- 17:22Speaker 4: being you know, at a new school for the first time.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Everyone is so lovely and there's so many people that
- 17:29Speaker 4: I felt like I was more like a big sister
- 17:32Speaker 4: to people, like just coming in and being like, what's
- 17:35Speaker 4: going on? How are you feeling? Because like, typically it's
- 17:40Speaker 4: everyone's kind of in their own drama, and so even
- 17:43Speaker 4: though I think it's so awesome help even just like
- 17:45Speaker 4: being a contestant on on the Bachelor, like you make
- 17:49Speaker 4: friendships there, you're kind of going through the same things.
- 17:51Speaker 4: You can talk about it, but sometimes it could be
- 17:54Speaker 4: hard because it's like, Okay, I know you're going through it,
- 17:57Speaker 4: but I need somebody to talk to me. One that
- 18:00Speaker 4: was like able to understand what was going on, but like,
- 18:07Speaker 4: I don't have a relationship that I'm trying to like
- 18:09Speaker 4: navigate here in this Paradise world. So I definitely feel
- 18:14Speaker 4: like I am such a fan of so many of
- 18:18Speaker 4: the men and women that are people are going to
- 18:21Speaker 4: get to see, you know, go through their journey of love.
- 18:25Speaker 4: But I was more kind of that that role, if
- 18:28Speaker 4: that makes sense, not like because because the show and
- 18:32Speaker 4: like my what I hope is that it's not always
- 18:35Speaker 4: just about I'm trying to facilitate them finding love and
- 18:42Speaker 4: being a champion for that and greeting for them. But
- 18:45Speaker 4: we can be besties after, you know.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, it's like you can fratnize with the cats basically.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Kind of all.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Right, So last question about Paradise Dale Moss and people
- 19:01Speaker 3: are kind of surprised to see him there.
- 19:05Speaker 6: How is he?
- 19:05Speaker 5: What do you like?
- 19:10Speaker 4: I think Dale is lovely and it would be really
- 19:14Speaker 4: cool for people to see him on the beach.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, you were just talking about how you, you know,
- 19:22Speaker 2: didn't have to navigate your own relationship there were you
- 19:25Speaker 2: so thankful? You're like, I am so grateful that I'm
- 19:29Speaker 2: watching these people try to find love instead of being
- 19:32Speaker 2: the one trying to find it and just thanking God
- 19:35Speaker 2: for Adam at home.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's really tough out there. Yeah, it's
- 19:40Speaker 4: just tough out there. And but then there was also
- 19:43Speaker 4: like it was really sweet to watch people fall in
- 19:46Speaker 4: love too, like that feeling and seeing that like giddiness
- 19:50Speaker 4: of people. Yeah, I feel like I'm in a very
- 19:53Speaker 4: healthy relationship, but there's nothing like when you're first.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Like somebody telling my friend yesterday because she feels like
- 20:02Speaker 2: everybody is like kind of going further in life personally
- 20:08Speaker 2: than she is, and she's feeling like left behind romantically
- 20:12Speaker 2: and like family wise, like kids, you know.
- 20:15Speaker 3: And I said, well, at least you get to experience
- 20:18Speaker 3: that like finding your person in the honeymoon stage of
- 20:21Speaker 3: the first time and we're all done with that.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Yeah. No, it's so sweet and so cool to see.
- 20:26Speaker 4: And so I did love that, like being able to
- 20:30Speaker 4: like see people like be so giddy and nervous and
- 20:32Speaker 4: then like, yeah, have these like really awesome dates and
- 20:36Speaker 4: fall in love Like that was sweet to watch. And
- 20:39Speaker 4: I was like, oh, that's the best feeling and just
- 20:44Speaker 4: so thankful that like I'm in the season of life
- 20:48Speaker 4: that I'm at now, Like it gave me both of
- 20:51Speaker 4: like you know, looking at that and being like, this
- 20:53Speaker 4: is so cool to see people get to have these
- 20:57Speaker 4: beautiful moments and in a very like strange way, like
- 21:07Speaker 4: you know, it's kind of weird that you're like falling
- 21:10Speaker 4: in love with like cameras watching you everywhere, But that
- 21:13Speaker 4: makes it so cool and exciting for me because I'm like, Wow,
- 21:17Speaker 4: you're really going for it, and a lot of people
- 21:19Speaker 4: that would be really hard and like, y'allre like pushing yourself.
- 21:23Speaker 4: So I love that. But yeah, then it made me
- 21:27Speaker 4: really thankful to be where I'm at now because like
- 21:30Speaker 4: just being back on the show just felt like a
- 21:32Speaker 4: truly like this like redeentive thing, Like I didn't know
- 21:40Speaker 4: what I know now, and I've talked about this before.
- 21:43Speaker 4: I'm not like a, oh, there's just one person for you.
- 21:47Speaker 4: I don't that's not like what I fully like believe in.
- 21:51Speaker 4: And I do think like, man, if I would have
- 21:54Speaker 4: known what I know now, I think I probably would
- 21:59Speaker 4: have just done the whole experience differently. And and I
- 22:05Speaker 4: want to be able to like help steer people into
- 22:08Speaker 4: like really taking advantage of the thing. I had to
- 22:10Speaker 4: learn so much. I've had to do so much work.
- 22:16Speaker 4: It would have been hard for it to be different
- 22:18Speaker 4: at any time versus now, But like I loved being
- 22:23Speaker 4: able to be there and be like, wow, like these
- 22:26Speaker 4: people are going for this and can actually like get
- 22:29Speaker 4: the best out of the experience and not just be
- 22:31Speaker 4: like entertaining, Like I was great at being entertaining, But
- 22:34Speaker 4: it's being able to fully like fall in love Like
- 22:37Speaker 4: that was gonna be really hard for me now looking back,
- 22:41Speaker 4: knowing what I know now and now that I know
- 22:44Speaker 4: more like what love is. It just felt really cool
- 22:48Speaker 4: to be back in the place. It just full circle
- 22:51Speaker 4: was cool.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Yeah, So you and Adam have had some cute little
- 22:56Speaker 3: Instagram reels where he rates your dresses. It's been so
- 22:59Speaker 3: fun and so entertaining. What kind of dress? Have you
- 23:02Speaker 3: given him any hints as to what kind of dress
- 23:04Speaker 3: you're gonna be wearing?
- 23:06Speaker 2: And has his feedback? I need to know if his feedback.
- 23:10Speaker 4: Don't love my dress? Okay, gonna love my dress from
- 23:13Speaker 4: his feedback of things? Okay, okay, So I feel confident,
- 23:19Speaker 4: but his feedback has been so fun, Like I I
- 23:23Speaker 4: felt that that was just I was worried. I was like,
- 23:25Speaker 4: is he going to be like want something so different
- 23:28Speaker 4: than what I ended up choosing, but from the videos
- 23:31Speaker 4: and how he writed them, I think he's gonna really
- 23:34Speaker 4: love my dress.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Is there one dress?
- 23:36Speaker 4: Two dresses of course, and Dan two dresses.
- 23:40Speaker 3: And I didn't want to do it to either Hannah
- 23:43Speaker 3: when I was always gonna be like, no, I want
- 23:45Speaker 3: to find a dress that I love so much that
- 23:47Speaker 3: I don't want to take it off, and that is.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Not how it goes. Apparently, well, I found one that
- 23:53Speaker 2: I wanted to that I was like, I, nope, I
- 23:57Speaker 2: apparently have two styles that I feel just as confident in.
- 24:01Speaker 4: So for me, I like, I still love there's still
- 24:06Speaker 4: one that I loved the most.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Like yeah, same, same, yeah, But I.
- 24:10Speaker 4: Was talking and people are like it it can get
- 24:15Speaker 4: really annoying, especially with the type of dress that I have,
- 24:18Speaker 4: like it's gonna start to not feel comfortable, and so
- 24:22Speaker 4: I wanted to have something that I felt like I
- 24:26Speaker 4: could be really comfortable and that's also just like equally
- 24:29Speaker 4: as beautiful and it's still like very me. But yeah,
- 24:34Speaker 4: even like my welcome party dress is like basically another
- 24:36Speaker 4: wedding dress too. It's saus it's ridiculous, but it's okay, No.
- 24:43Speaker 3: It's the best. Yeah, you need to fully embrace every look. Yeah,
- 24:49Speaker 3: it's a great time. And I will say that if
- 24:52Speaker 3: I wore my real wedding dress, the one that I
- 24:55Speaker 3: walked down the aisle, I wore it to the reception
- 24:58Speaker 3: for a bit and then and I said, when we
- 25:01Speaker 3: really started dancing and we really did the cake cutting,
- 25:04Speaker 3: I wanted to change that because I did want to
- 25:06Speaker 3: wear that dress for the first dance and all like
- 25:10Speaker 3: a lot of the ceremonial stuff. Let me tell you,
- 25:14Speaker 3: it was so huge. I had quite a hard time
- 25:18Speaker 3: navigating the room.
- 25:20Speaker 2: So as soon as I put the other one on,
- 25:22Speaker 2: which was.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Still a ball gown and still poofy, Yeah, it was
- 25:25Speaker 3: a huge relief. And you don't really even understand the
- 25:28Speaker 3: weight that comes with the big, big ball gown.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yes, well maybe do you from pageants.
- 25:35Speaker 4: Have ever done packed? I've never done.
- 25:36Speaker 2: I've never I never did a big ball gown.
- 25:38Speaker 4: Ever did a big ball gown? No, But I feel
- 25:40Speaker 4: like I could navigate a dress okay, but yeah, I
- 25:43Speaker 4: would say there's a little bit more volume to my dress.
- 25:46Speaker 4: So I'm like a little nervous about, like, yeah, how
- 25:50Speaker 4: to navigate that, because I want to do I want
- 25:53Speaker 4: to do our first dance in my I call it.
- 25:56Speaker 4: That's my dress. But I'm good. Yeah, I'm just going
- 26:01Speaker 4: to do it because I want.
- 26:02Speaker 2: You have to do it.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Yeah, because that's my dress exactly, the.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Fun dress, the party dress. It's the party dress. Yeah.
- 26:11Speaker 3: You were so kind to come to my baby sprinkle
- 26:13Speaker 3: last year where we talked about you deciding whether or
- 26:17Speaker 3: not you were going to do destination wedding, a smaller wedding.
- 26:19Speaker 3: You wanted to keep it pretty intimate, you have. You
- 26:22Speaker 3: eventually chose France. Yes, so tell us what you can
- 26:26Speaker 3: while still keeping something surprising when all the good stuff
- 26:30Speaker 3: hits Instagram.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I feel like a crazy person for
- 26:35Speaker 4: doing a money Oh, like what this was so dumb.
- 26:40Speaker 4: It's going to be It's gonna be so pretty, but like,
- 26:45Speaker 4: but also I didn't know how crazy this season of
- 26:48Speaker 4: life was going to be. Yeah, like I did, but didn't.
- 26:51Speaker 3: You did not know that they were going to ask
- 26:53Speaker 3: you on Paradise six weeks before you had your wedding.
- 26:57Speaker 4: No, I had no idea and just what that kind
- 27:00Speaker 4: of like compounded on it, And I knew that even
- 27:03Speaker 4: like the press of the book was going to be
- 27:06Speaker 4: a lot. But I I think it's gonna be great.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Once we get there, it is gonna be great. I
- 27:14Speaker 3: promise you have a wedding planner, right, yeah.
- 27:16Speaker 4: Yeah, But I still like trust think about me. I'm
- 27:20Speaker 4: just like, if I think people think that I can,
- 27:23Speaker 4: I could be like so fun and just like I am,
- 27:27Speaker 4: I am the opposite of a go with the flow person.
- 27:30Speaker 4: I'm the absolute opposite. I want to be go with
- 27:32Speaker 4: the flop person. So I don't have the capacity to
- 27:36Speaker 4: handle all these things. So I feel like I'm a
- 27:40Speaker 4: type A stuck in a tight b experience right now and.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Likely the same person.
- 27:47Speaker 4: And I'm just stressed out because I can't do it.
- 27:52Speaker 4: But I want it done a certain way, and so
- 27:54Speaker 4: I'm some light little ball. I'm like, somebody just needs
- 27:58Speaker 4: to like I just need like somebody to like pop
- 28:01Speaker 4: my bubble so I can just be floaty. But I'm
- 28:05Speaker 4: not at all. So it has been a challenge. Once
- 28:12Speaker 4: we get there, it's going to be great. I understand
- 28:14Speaker 4: why people just go elope or go to the courthouse.
- 28:17Speaker 4: That's all.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, as somebody who's obsessed with their wedding, and
- 28:21Speaker 3: this is people might judge me for this. Jared, and
- 28:24Speaker 3: I constantly say that our wedding was still better than
- 28:27Speaker 3: the day that our kids were born.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Why tell me why? It was legit just like a masterpiece.
- 28:37Speaker 3: It was executed exactly the way all your wildest dreams
- 28:41Speaker 3: like of your wedding and beyond. It was so well
- 28:45Speaker 3: done thanks to our wedding point our Troy Williams and
- 28:47Speaker 3: his whole team, like he had a team of seven
- 28:49Speaker 3: people in addition to him.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, it was a romantic epic. It was just
- 28:57Speaker 2: exactly what.
- 28:58Speaker 3: We wanted and and it was the day that I
- 29:02Speaker 3: remember more vividly than any other day probably. And when
- 29:05Speaker 3: we say it's better than like our kids' birthday, I go, like, Dawson,
- 29:09Speaker 3: I enjoy you today way more than I enjoyed you as.
- 29:13Speaker 2: A one day old. You know, so I think it
- 29:16Speaker 2: makes sense. And also it's just like birthday is a
- 29:19Speaker 2: big deal, but it's a stressful, hectic day, and but
- 29:22Speaker 2: you learn to love your child.
- 29:24Speaker 3: It's like doubles every single day. But anyway, you are
- 29:27Speaker 3: going to be so happy you did it the way
- 29:29Speaker 3: you did it. I know you will be.
- 29:31Speaker 4: And I would, yeah, I would be bummed if I
- 29:33Speaker 4: really did just go to the Corehouse probably, But like
- 29:35Speaker 4: right now, and then this I'm like so much eesier.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Yeah, you probably just feel like a little out of
- 29:41Speaker 3: control too, since it's out of the country, so you
- 29:44Speaker 3: feel you can't like go there and put your hands
- 29:46Speaker 3: on it.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Yeah, Like, I think I'm going to be just as
- 29:49Speaker 4: surprised as like when you're like, it went exactly the
- 29:51Speaker 4: way I wanted to go. I'm like, nah, I don't
- 29:53Speaker 4: fully even know how it's going to go. I'm just
- 29:58Speaker 4: having to try to trust that it's gonna be great.
- 30:01Speaker 4: We have wedding planners that are amazing, and so that's
- 30:05Speaker 4: just hard for me.
- 30:06Speaker 3: The last month or two is harder too, because you
- 30:10Speaker 3: thought that picking out the big things months ago was
- 30:13Speaker 3: gonna be the real planning part, but now you realize,
- 30:15Speaker 3: like there's these all these little nuances, and that's what
- 30:18Speaker 3: you worry about going according to plan. Now, most people
- 30:21Speaker 3: tell you you can't expect everything to go to according
- 30:24Speaker 3: to plan, and if you do, that's when you'll be disappointed.
- 30:27Speaker 2: So don't do that. For some reason, ours is really went.
- 30:30Speaker 3: However, our pictures went like way over, so we had
- 30:35Speaker 3: to rent out the space for an extra hour, to
- 30:38Speaker 3: which I was like.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Dad, Dad, we have to we have to add another hour.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Oh no, yeah, I mean I would have paid for
- 30:46Speaker 2: the extra hour. But also, hi Dad.
- 30:49Speaker 4: For you you know, that's also a difference, Like you know,
- 30:52Speaker 4: we're taking on it more financially, so it's yeah, you
- 30:56Speaker 4: know that that brings another little pressure to everything too.
- 31:00Speaker 4: But it's going to be amazing.
- 31:02Speaker 2: It's gonna be amazing.
- 31:04Speaker 4: I can't wait to be there. But I'm so excited about,
- 31:07Speaker 4: like I have to remind myself, like these are all
- 31:10Speaker 4: things that I've wanted to do, like being back on
- 31:12Speaker 4: TV in like this type of way, and having like
- 31:17Speaker 4: my second book come out, yeah, like our novel come out,
- 31:22Speaker 4: Like yeah, I'm just trying to remind myself to like
- 31:26Speaker 4: be in this moment. And it's like all the things
- 31:28Speaker 4: that I've dreamed of happening just happening back to back
- 31:32Speaker 4: to back. So I'm super grateful and excited to be
- 31:35Speaker 4: on the road and doing this book tour soon and
- 31:38Speaker 4: meeting everybody I feel. I mean, we're kind of even
- 31:41Speaker 4: making it like my almost like Bachelor atte trip with
- 31:45Speaker 4: all my girls because it really is like right before
- 31:48Speaker 4: the wedding and just embracing like all the beauty that
- 31:52Speaker 4: like life has given me. I have to like, sometimes
- 31:55Speaker 4: gratitude can be hard for me. I hate to say that,
- 31:57Speaker 4: but like I can just get so like in the
- 32:00Speaker 4: midst of life and can be critical. But I'm trying
- 32:05Speaker 4: to remind myself, like, this is all the things that
- 32:07Speaker 4: I've wanted to do, so just like try to be
- 32:10Speaker 4: in it. Yeah, and when I do that, I feel
- 32:13Speaker 4: so much better.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Yeah. I totally feel you on that. Sometimes you don't
- 32:17Speaker 2: realize you're living your dreams.
- 32:19Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, it's like you have to like take a
- 32:23Speaker 4: second and be like this. Ten years ago, I would
- 32:27Speaker 4: have never imagined I would have I would have been
- 32:29Speaker 4: here like this would my one of year old's self
- 32:32Speaker 4: would be like, oh my gosh, you did it, Like
- 32:35Speaker 4: this is crazy. I could have never even dropped that up.
- 32:37Speaker 4: I'm like either, But here we are.
- 32:40Speaker 6: I'm so happy for you.
- 32:52Speaker 2: You and Adam are not living together right now.
- 32:55Speaker 3: You talked about this a couple of months ago for
- 32:57Speaker 3: mostly religious reasons, right, Yeah, Yeah, so I would love
- 33:02Speaker 3: to know how that conversation went, and then we're going
- 33:04Speaker 3: to dive into the book. Yeah, but this is so
- 33:07Speaker 3: interesting to a lot of people out there. I remember
- 33:11Speaker 3: I used you as clickbait. I'm sorry for the podcast.
- 33:14Speaker 3: I was like, okay, I was like.
- 33:16Speaker 2: Click here to find that way. And we're living together
- 33:19Speaker 2: and there was like ten thousand clicks.
- 33:22Speaker 4: It's definitely like a different situation because we had lived
- 33:28Speaker 4: together before. But we just our faith has been really
- 33:34Speaker 4: a big part of like our relationship and how we've
- 33:36Speaker 4: grown together as a couple. And you know, there were
- 33:39Speaker 4: so many things that we were trusting and like in
- 33:44Speaker 4: our faith and like our beliefs, and and there's just
- 33:46Speaker 4: one thing that we were like, oh, like you know,
- 33:48Speaker 4: we've been together, doesn't really matter, and we just felt
- 33:55Speaker 4: convicted to just like, Okay, we're gonna like fully trust
- 33:58Speaker 4: God in this and the part of our relationship and
- 34:03Speaker 4: we could do it. And it's been like it's in
- 34:06Speaker 4: every way it's tough, but we're we believe that we'll
- 34:11Speaker 4: just have like blessings in our marriage for it and
- 34:13Speaker 4: not like it's not to make anybody feel bad for
- 34:16Speaker 4: not I mean we lived together for years, Like it
- 34:18Speaker 4: was just like what we felt for our relationship and
- 34:22Speaker 4: just where we were and in our spirit was the
- 34:24Speaker 4: best for us. And so yeah, we did it and
- 34:28Speaker 4: it's been great.
- 34:30Speaker 3: Is there any part of you that's like, oh, and
- 34:32Speaker 3: now we have to live together again, and I'm not
- 34:34Speaker 3: looking forward to that component of you.
- 34:38Speaker 4: No, Adam is a great partner to live with, Like
- 34:41Speaker 4: he's like on it, like I'm I've been like I'm
- 34:45Speaker 4: so much. But we see each other like every every day.
- 34:49Speaker 4: So it's not you know, it's it's more just making
- 34:55Speaker 4: sure the things that we say that we value in
- 34:57Speaker 4: a line like actually match the way that we live
- 34:59Speaker 4: out our lif our life, and we kind of went
- 35:04Speaker 4: to the extremes of that, but you know, mm hmm, well,
- 35:07Speaker 4: always trying to shake things around.
- 35:09Speaker 2: No, I love it. I think it's great. I love it.
- 35:11Speaker 3: I love the traditional component to it. I told Jared
- 35:14Speaker 3: that we would not live together until we were engaged,
- 35:16Speaker 3: and that is what we did. I love that, and
- 35:19Speaker 3: I wouldn't have done even that necessarily. I could have
- 35:23Speaker 3: waited until we were married. But just because he didn't
- 35:27Speaker 3: have a home in la he was living with Nick
- 35:31Speaker 3: by all, and then Nick was like, I'm moving to
- 35:35Speaker 3: another house, and I was like, I'm not making you
- 35:39Speaker 3: live in.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Venice, so come on over you. I got a ring
- 35:43Speaker 2: on my.
- 35:43Speaker 4: Finger now, yeah, totally, No, it makes so much sense.
- 35:46Speaker 4: So Yeah, it's been it's been great. But also especially
- 35:52Speaker 4: like when I am, it's been so busy. It does
- 35:56Speaker 4: suck at some point because you're just like just one
- 36:00Speaker 4: your person with you, even if it's just to like
- 36:04Speaker 4: for the little moments and things. So you know, we're
- 36:07Speaker 4: getting close. So it's it's been good and we feel like,
- 36:11Speaker 4: you know, we were called to do that for a reason,
- 36:14Speaker 4: and we're excited.
- 36:18Speaker 2: You are living in the house that you guys bought. Yeah, okay,
- 36:22Speaker 2: so he will get out of the other place soon.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Did you sell Did you get rid of the other rental?
- 36:27Speaker 4: Yes, we were just renting that place. He's in like
- 36:30Speaker 4: this amazing like short term rental almost like hotel that
- 36:35Speaker 4: he's insane yet, which has been nice because like he's
- 36:39Speaker 4: he's going to be kind of sad because it has
- 36:43Speaker 4: like every amenity. It's in like this perfect location. I'm
- 36:48Speaker 4: going to be sad. It has like a beautiful heated pool,
- 36:52Speaker 4: like sauna, cold plunge, pick a ball corner, look at
- 36:56Speaker 4: that little thing like it's amazing. In the room, like
- 36:59Speaker 4: he has like a that comes in like cleans's room
- 37:02Speaker 4: up every week. You know, so he's been loving that.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Oh wow, Okay, well, Hannah, the reason that you're here
- 37:11Speaker 3: really is to talk about your new book.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Yes, you had your first novel come out, Mistakes We
- 37:17Speaker 2: Never Made.
- 37:18Speaker 3: It came out last year, and then you kind of
- 37:20Speaker 3: teas to us that there would be a follow up
- 37:22Speaker 3: of sorts, not a direct sequel, right, and that is
- 37:27Speaker 3: coming out in a few weeks. This one's called The
- 37:30Speaker 3: Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain. Yes, so can you
- 37:34Speaker 3: tease to us what this.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Book is about? And you have to read the last book.
- 37:40Speaker 4: You do not have to read the last book to
- 37:42Speaker 4: read this one first. It's like in the same universe.
- 37:46Speaker 4: So the characters, you know, have some overlap, but totally
- 37:53Speaker 4: safe to start with the Four Engagement Rings, the Civil
- 37:55Speaker 4: Ragin and then you know reading the Stakes we never
- 37:58Speaker 4: made or just read one. But this book, the fun
- 38:04Speaker 4: part of it, like the light, the part that makes
- 38:07Speaker 4: it like this fun beach read gives very much like
- 38:10Speaker 4: Forgetting Sarah Marshall Vibes in a year ago was a
- 38:16Speaker 4: runaway bride and is like needing a much needed vaka
- 38:21Speaker 4: and so she decides to use her ticket vouchers that
- 38:24Speaker 4: she has that would have been her honeymoon to to
- 38:27Speaker 4: finally go and have some time to relax, and unfortunately
- 38:33Speaker 4: she runs into not one but two of her ex
- 38:35Speaker 4: fiances on the beach and has to just oh, yeah,
- 38:39Speaker 4: we got foreign gamers girls. That's right, she's got more
- 38:45Speaker 4: than me. Yes, she has to like figure out how
- 38:52Speaker 4: to navigate that. But really, what the book is about
- 38:56Speaker 4: is dealing with your past and being able to kind
- 39:05Speaker 4: of like learn to love yourself first so that you
- 39:10Speaker 4: can actually perceive the love that you actually deserve. And
- 39:15Speaker 4: I would say, like this book ended up being a
- 39:17Speaker 4: lot more personal than I thought it was going to
- 39:19Speaker 4: be because it's definitely been a journey. A lot of
- 39:22Speaker 4: people ask like, oh, look, is this based on your life.
- 39:24Speaker 4: I'm like, oh, thank god, this has not been my life.
- 39:28Speaker 4: But a lot of the thoughts and feelings that Sybil's had,
- 39:32Speaker 4: especially when it comes to commitment and being with a
- 39:34Speaker 4: man that's you know, so great for her, but feeling
- 39:37Speaker 4: like she can't fully like her past defines her in
- 39:42Speaker 4: certain ways. Like I've really struggled with that, and especially
- 39:46Speaker 4: in this relationship that I'm in now, there were years
- 39:50Speaker 4: and seasons where gosh, just my mistakes and beliefs about
- 39:55Speaker 4: myself and beliefs about love. It really hindered me from
- 39:59Speaker 4: being able to you see what was in front of
- 40:02Speaker 4: me and fully receive it. And so Sybil definitely has
- 40:08Speaker 4: that part of me that when people ask, like, how
- 40:11Speaker 4: much of the book is you, I'm like, there's a
- 40:13Speaker 4: part of that that is definitely like things that I've
- 40:17Speaker 4: struggled with and to have overcome and it's been really
- 40:19Speaker 4: cool to like overcome them and get to like have
- 40:24Speaker 4: Sybil had that same happily ever after experience too. So
- 40:29Speaker 4: that's what the real book is about. But it has
- 40:33Speaker 4: all the fun, you know parts of the Beach Tree
- 40:37Speaker 4: that makes you just want to like read it in
- 40:38Speaker 4: one setting, preferably you know, with a nice you know,
- 40:44Speaker 4: cocktail in hand with some pool service. But uh, I'm
- 40:48Speaker 4: really excited for people to read it. I think they're
- 40:51Speaker 4: really gonna love it. And I feel like it was,
- 40:55Speaker 4: you know, a labor of love and things that after
- 40:59Speaker 4: the first book people like, we want to have we
- 41:01Speaker 4: need to know about Sybil, so they'll have a lot
- 41:03Speaker 4: of those questions answered. If you did read the first book,
- 41:06Speaker 4: and if you didn't, like you're going to have this
- 41:08Speaker 4: fresh new book and character to grow to love.
- 41:13Speaker 3: So obviously you relate to the main character. Now I
- 41:15Speaker 3: have to ask what the four ex fiances? Did you
- 41:19Speaker 3: kind of model them after four x's in your life?
- 41:24Speaker 4: Not really, I've been asked this once before and No,
- 41:29Speaker 4: I feel like one of the characters is definitely I
- 41:35Speaker 4: think some of the goodness of him comes from my
- 41:39Speaker 4: fiance Adam, like just that character. There are parts of
- 41:45Speaker 4: him that I definitely how he can like hold Sybil
- 41:50Speaker 4: in certain ways. It's definitely how I feel like Adam
- 41:52Speaker 4: can navigate life with me. And I will say that
- 41:59Speaker 4: there are are other characters that, yeah, I mean, I like,
- 42:04Speaker 4: they're not like fully based off one person, but there
- 42:07Speaker 4: could be people that people could maybe be like, oh,
- 42:10Speaker 4: it's kind of based off this guy who knew me
- 42:13Speaker 4: a little, But not not anything that I'm like this character,
- 42:17Speaker 4: I just like, may have changed their name and they
- 42:20Speaker 4: have all the same little quirks and personalities and would
- 42:23Speaker 4: do the same things. No, but definitely had some inspiration
- 42:27Speaker 4: from some people in my past. Yeah.
- 42:29Speaker 3: When Hannah Brown writes a book, people want to know, like,
- 42:31Speaker 3: it's a Taylor Swift song?
- 42:33Speaker 2: Is this about Peter Tyler? Jed her current?
- 42:43Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 42:46Speaker 3: All right, So when does it come out and people
- 42:51Speaker 3: can buy it anywhere books are sold.
- 42:54Speaker 4: Yeah, y'all pre order now, please, you can pre order
- 42:59Speaker 4: wherever books are sold. But it comes out June twenty fourth,
- 43:02Speaker 4: so I will be also going on a book tour
- 43:05Speaker 4: this time yet again right before the wedding, so you
- 43:10Speaker 4: guys can check that out. I'll have more information on
- 43:12Speaker 4: my Instagram of like where all the stops are. But
- 43:16Speaker 4: book comes out June twenty fourth, you can get wherever.
- 43:20Speaker 4: I'm so excited for you guys to read it and
- 43:21Speaker 4: then to be able to see everybody out on the
- 43:24Speaker 4: road again.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:25Speaker 3: And finally, when you were writing this book, how did
- 43:31Speaker 3: you like How was it different than the first process
- 43:35Speaker 3: of writing a novel?
- 43:36Speaker 2: Which one did you prefer more?
- 43:38Speaker 4: The first one felt like easier in a weird way,
- 43:40Speaker 4: like it just I don't know, it just was a
- 43:45Speaker 4: little bit of an easier process. I definitely still had
- 43:49Speaker 4: pressure on myself, don't let me wrong. I don't know
- 43:51Speaker 4: how to not like put extreme amounts of pressure and
- 43:54Speaker 4: stress on myself. But the second one, I just really
- 43:59Speaker 4: was shocked and so so proud of how everybody loved
- 44:02Speaker 4: the first one that I really wanted to make sure
- 44:04Speaker 4: this one was, you know, even better. In some way.
- 44:07Speaker 4: And I think because I related to Sybil even more.
- 44:10Speaker 4: She's like the messier parts of me that are like
- 44:13Speaker 4: entertaining for people to watch, but when it comes to
- 44:16Speaker 4: like your own life like kind of like to have
- 44:18Speaker 4: to like navigate those types of thoughts and feelings. And
- 44:23Speaker 4: she's a little bit more nuanced of a character, and
- 44:26Speaker 4: I think people are going to love her, but she's
- 44:30Speaker 4: messy and she like makes the wrong decisions sometimes with relationships,
- 44:34Speaker 4: and you're like, come on, girl. So it was very
- 44:39Speaker 4: important for me to get her right to where it's like, gosh,
- 44:45Speaker 4: you understand why she does the things that she does,
- 44:47Speaker 4: like you have like compassion for her and you're rooting
- 44:50Speaker 4: for her. So it was a little bit more of
- 44:53Speaker 4: a challenging task than the first one was. But I
- 44:58Speaker 4: do think it with the hell of my co author Emily,
- 45:01Speaker 4: like where we really I think stretched as far as
- 45:07Speaker 4: the writing and even like just in different details. I
- 45:12Speaker 4: feel like the book is set in Hawaii, so even
- 45:16Speaker 4: just like really making setting more of like a character
- 45:19Speaker 4: in itself, and that it kind of just helps like
- 45:22Speaker 4: get people really in the world in a more lush way.
- 45:28Speaker 4: I just feel like there was just a lot more pressure,
- 45:30Speaker 4: but also like this want to even just be better
- 45:34Speaker 4: than the first book. And I feel like people who
- 45:36Speaker 4: have read it have really noticed that too, which has
- 45:38Speaker 4: been such a compliment and like we really all the
- 45:42Speaker 4: hard work and the moments that were stressful was all
- 45:45Speaker 4: worth it.
- 45:46Speaker 2: And as I love to compare you to Taylor Swift,
- 45:49Speaker 2: do you feel that now as a New York Times
- 45:52Speaker 2: best Selling author, USA Today best Selling author, do you
- 45:55Speaker 2: feel like every book needs to top itself? Does it
- 45:58Speaker 2: get stressful if it if it doesn't.
- 46:01Speaker 4: Yeah, So, knowing this season this was going to be in,
- 46:07Speaker 4: I had to have that like conversation on myself and
- 46:10Speaker 4: my team of like why am I doing this? And
- 46:14Speaker 4: in a past it was just I just want to
- 46:17Speaker 4: be able to say I've done the thing and I
- 46:19Speaker 4: really want to continue being an author, and I also
- 46:25Speaker 4: want to enjoy this season, and so I can have
- 46:28Speaker 4: to try to learn to not put so much pressure
- 46:31Speaker 4: on myself. It's like it has to be I want
- 46:35Speaker 4: to know that my work is actually better than the
- 46:37Speaker 4: other one. But as far as like does it have
- 46:40Speaker 4: to to always top like in other people's eyes or
- 46:44Speaker 4: from the world, I have to let that go. But
- 46:47Speaker 4: as far as what I know, the quality of my work, Like, yeah,
- 46:49Speaker 4: I do want it to always be better than the last.
- 46:52Speaker 4: Like that is important to me. But as far as like,
- 46:56Speaker 4: there's so much that goes into these like lists and
- 46:59Speaker 4: things that are not just is it's actually way more
- 47:04Speaker 4: complicated than people think, Like I had to let that
- 47:07Speaker 4: go and like just be proud of the work that
- 47:09Speaker 4: I'm doing and try to be in this season of
- 47:11Speaker 4: life where I am getting married at this season and
- 47:16Speaker 4: doing everything I can to get this book in people's
- 47:18Speaker 4: hands because I am really proud of it. And I
- 47:20Speaker 4: think if people love the first one, they're going to
- 47:22Speaker 4: love this one even more. And if you're intrigued, read
- 47:26Speaker 4: this book, because I'm like, I think it's even better
- 47:28Speaker 4: than the first one. So yeah, that's I'm trying to
- 47:33Speaker 4: find that balance of like truly just being proud of
- 47:36Speaker 4: myself for knowing that I'm getting better and that being enough.
- 47:42Speaker 3: And you're going to be on Paradise soon after this
- 47:45Speaker 3: book launches, so that.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Will get your name out there again and it could
- 47:50Speaker 2: even numbers.
- 47:51Speaker 3: Why stop it, But you're right, what's important is that
- 47:53Speaker 3: you feel like it's a better piece of work, piece
- 47:56Speaker 3: of art, and we're.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Really happy for you.
- 47:58Speaker 3: You're just killing it like everything, Hannah Brown rocks it.
- 48:03Speaker 3: I was so excited to see you going on Paradise.
- 48:06Speaker 3: You do make me want to watch it more.
- 48:08Speaker 2: And I feel like that's the production. How am I
- 48:11Speaker 2: feeling about going just.
- 48:12Speaker 4: Like watching new like no not about me?
- 48:15Speaker 2: Oh yeah, like no, yeah, yeah, like watching it with
- 48:18Speaker 2: a new production crew. Yeah, Like it's like melancholy. Yeah,
- 48:24Speaker 2: I mean it's so weird because I've always felt like
- 48:27Speaker 2: I'm rooting for the people behind the scenes because they
- 48:31Speaker 2: were the ones that like set me up with this
- 48:33Speaker 2: life that I have now, so I love them so much.
- 48:35Speaker 2: So I do feel like I'll be a little bit
- 48:37Speaker 2: detached for it, But I also really want the show
- 48:39Speaker 2: to do well because I want the whole franchise to
- 48:41Speaker 2: continue totally. And if it.
- 48:44Speaker 3: Doesn't do well, then, you know, that would be so
- 48:48Speaker 3: sad to have this. Yeah, and I don't think it'll
- 48:51Speaker 3: ever like go away forever, but if it does go
- 48:53Speaker 3: away for a little while, you know, still, so it
- 48:56Speaker 3: would it would be bizarre.
- 48:57Speaker 4: I think people are going to be really excited and
- 49:00Speaker 4: it There's going to be a lot of newness and
- 49:04Speaker 4: just all the things that Bachelor and Paradise is but
- 49:08Speaker 4: just with like some fresh eyes, and so I don't know,
- 49:11Speaker 4: give it, give.
- 49:12Speaker 2: It a show.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Oh you know, I'm giving it a shot. I could
- 49:14Speaker 3: never have Paradise on and not watch it. Plus I
- 49:17Speaker 3: have the show, but I love Paradise. I hope it's
- 49:19Speaker 3: successful in every way, from being entertaining and fun and
- 49:23Speaker 3: lighthearted because that's the best part of it is how
- 49:25Speaker 3: communic it is and self aware. And then I hope
- 49:29Speaker 3: that we get some good couples out of it too,
- 49:31Speaker 3: some long lasting couples. Yes, And then I would love
- 49:34Speaker 3: for you to come back after the wedding to tell
- 49:37Speaker 3: us that it was the best day of your life,
- 49:40Speaker 3: and then to also tell us about how you have
- 49:43Speaker 3: two uteruses, which I think.
- 49:45Speaker 2: You told me about in person. This isn't news. I've
- 49:50Speaker 2: known about her too.
- 49:52Speaker 4: That's all pictures.
- 49:53Speaker 3: No, But that's like a whole other conversation because I
- 49:57Speaker 3: love talking about women's health, and you had been diagnosed
- 50:01Speaker 3: with PCOS beforehand, and now that you guys are married
- 50:04Speaker 3: and probably gonna start trying to have kids, that'll be
- 50:06Speaker 3: a perfect podcast.
- 50:09Speaker 2: We'll do that all together already. You are the best.
- 50:12Speaker 2: Thank you so much for spending so much time with us.
- 50:15Speaker 4: My gosh, of course no, I'm always always love getting
- 50:18Speaker 4: to catch up and yeah, excited to talk soon again.
- 50:22Speaker 3: All right, see yea bye, thank you. All right, guys,
