Guyana’s young chess stars dominated the CARIFTA Chess Championship, crushing it virtually against nearly 450 players from 15 Caribbean nations. In the Under-16 and Under-18 divisions, Sachin Pitamber soared to second with 7.5 points, Kyle Couchman claimed third in Under-18 Open with 6 points, and girls Aditi Joshi and Ciel Clement both grabbed third in their respective girls’ categories.
