- 0:06SPEAKER_01: You have money.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Well, all right.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Admittedly, one of those has become a little bit difficult, but uh we still have high hopes with the birthday wheel.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: But in this case, if you can't win the thirteen hundred dollars that that sits at right now, why not win happy holidays as we're getting ready to go, you know, into Labor Day?
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: We're doing$400 gift cards.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: You could go to Amazon, you could go to Walmart, you could go to Target, you could win one.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: Sign up now on our app, either Wink106, Twin Tears Magic, or My Radio Jams.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Now, once you sign up this week, it's next week, Monday through Friday, we pick a winner every single day.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: $400.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, let's say you're you win$400 on Monday, your neighbor could win it on Tuesday, and somebody else that you know wins it on Wednesday.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: And yeah, you choose.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: You're gonna go to Target, you wanna do the Amazon thing.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Uh you know, I think it's back to school time, so it's whatever you're gonna use the most.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: I think you're right.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: What I would pick.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm probably gonna pick Target, but you know, you you might be an Amazon person.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: So that's that's how you do it.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Speaking of back to school, what would you do if you overhear someone, a mother, tell her kid they look fat in a dress while they were back to school shopping?
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Do you say something to the mom?
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Do you just give her the side eye, give her a dirty look?
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Oh, I think most people would just be like, oh, and just keep moving.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: I that's kind of what I think a lot of people would do.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: It's so hard though, because you know, just hearing those words, that's gonna be affecting that kid, if not for uh at least the day, for the long haul.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: All right, so can I ask a really hard question?
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: I I'm I mean Did a Gail ever call me fat?
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Is that what you're gonna go with?
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, if I want to just aim it right at you.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: So can I this is very difficult because um uh I was the skinniest kid, you know, when I was growing up.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: Like, I mean, it took forever.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: And I was the chunkiest kid.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: At what point do you chunkiest kid?
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying the delivery is anything that is going to turn around and be good.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, the delivery is pretty harsh.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: At what point, though, does the parent be honest?
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, I mean, how much honesty and sugar coating are we doing here?
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Well, the sugar coating already happened.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Your daughter's big.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: Um sorry.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: I I think what my mom did was I think it was tactful enough where she would say, that's not the most flattering thing I can do.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: All right, I can accept that.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Or like, eh, or you know, you know when like somebody just gives like a face or a noise, and they're like, eh.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: No, no.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: That doesn't look good.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's not a good look.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: That doesn't fit you well.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Doesn't fit you well.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: It's a great one.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: I don't see my mom, I don't remember my mom ever being like, uh, it makes you look fat.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: Like, ew.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: Now, now please understand.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: I I can also understand basically the mother, what she did is wrong.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Also, that could have been said to a non I hate using the name the the word fat, but that could have been said to a non-fat child, too.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: Well, that's possible too.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: It could have been a mom who just thrives on skinniness.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: That's possible.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: You're right.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, it it may not have been a factor of uh uh of a couple extra pounds.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: But the real question is, what would you do if you heard it solid?
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, would you say something or is it?
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: See something, say something, or is it just keep moving?
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: Rolling your eyes.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, I got a mic drop moment, but I'm not gonna tell you until I see some answers.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Okay, what would you guys do?
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Get on our app, message us, or even you can voice message us too, because we are already getting people who are texting in.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: I and we know it's wrong because the delivery method is just wow.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: There's gotta be better ways to do it.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: I want a girlfriend to say, hey, Allie, that's that doesn't really fit you in the right spot.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: That's one of your close girlfriends who legitimately, you know, I I'm I'm not implying you and your weight whatsoever.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: But I feel like Sonia's close enough to you that if she delivered that message even from her, it would be a little bit like a sting, like, oh, well, yeah, but she's one of your closest friends ever.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: You want somebody to tell you the truth, but saying you look fat in that dress.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: What would you guys do?
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: Would you say something?
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: Would you do something?
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: Would you not?
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Would you just chalk it up to mom's having a bad day of uh back to school shopping or what?
