- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 0:05We're going to pick up where we left off with
- 0:07the Virginia Roberts deposition, so let's get right back to it. Question, okay,
- 0:14if I can direct your attention back to defendants Exhibit
- 0:17twelve at page fifteen and under the heading response to
- 0:21interrogatory number nine. Do you see what it says there? Virginia, yes, Menager,
- 0:28Miss Joffrey excuse me, responds as follows answer yes, question
- 0:35by manager. Okay. It says you worked as a locker
- 0:38room attendant for the spot area. Correct. Virginia responds yes, manager,
- 0:43And it says records produced in this case identify the
- 0:47date of employment as two thousand. Correct Virginia, yes, Menager,
- 0:52What records that were produced in this case cause you
- 0:56to believe that the employment began in two thousand? Virginia?
- 1:01Is this going back to another question that I'm not
- 1:04allowed to answer, Manager, No, Virginia, I have seen the
- 1:09documents and I know that my employment now was in
- 1:12two thousand. Manager. What documents did you see that caused
- 1:16you to make that answer? Virginia? The mar a Lago documents? Manager?
- 1:22Are they your mar Lago employment documents. Virginia kind of
- 1:26stumbles here, says, and Brad Edwards interjects, object to form. Virginia,
- 1:32my name is on there, manager, Okay, do you believe
- 1:36them to be your mar A Lago employment records? Virginia,
- 1:40as far as I can tell, Back to manager. Okay,
- 1:43so you were able to review your mar al Lago
- 1:45employment records. Edwards once again here objects to the form.
- 1:50Back to manager and respond to the question as it
- 1:54says right there that you respond, correct, Virginia, Yes, manager.
- 2:00When did you review the documents that you reviewed to
- 2:03cause you to respond to that answer that way? Virginia.
- 2:07I don't think I found out till sometime mid mid
- 2:10last year, I believe, menager. Okay, Virginia, I'm really not
- 2:14too sure, you know. I'm sorry, dates and documents, there's
- 2:18too many to remember. But here a menager interrupts her. Okay,
- 2:22you do admit that you filed in many documents that
- 2:25you met Kallay Maxwell in nineteen ninety eight or nineteen
- 2:29ninety nine, correct, Virginia, yes, menager, And do you admit
- 2:34that you told members of the media that you met
- 2:37Kallay Maxwell in nineteen ninety eight or nineteen ninety nine.
- 2:40Correct Edwards once again interjects here and objects to form.
- 2:46Virginia responds, that was my closest approximation to what I
- 2:49could actually remember. So Menager continues the questioning, and the
- 2:54media published in the newspapers that you met Gallan Maxwell
- 2:58in nineteen ninety eight or nineteen ninety nine. Correct again
- 3:01to this, Brad Edwards objects form. Virginia responds, Yes, they did, Menager,
- 3:08And the news media published the newspapers that you told them,
- 3:12which is that you were fifteen when you met Gallaine Maxwell.
- 3:15Correct Edwards once again interjects here and says form. Virginia responds,
- 3:22which is what I truly thought at the time. Menager, Okay,
- 3:27and it is not true that you were fifteen when
- 3:29you met Gallaine Maxwell. Correct Virginia's answer. It was a
- 3:33mistake that I made, yes, back to Menager, So that
- 3:37printing in the newspaper that you met Gallainne Maxwell when
- 3:40she was when you were fifteen, it's not a true
- 3:43statement of fact. Correct. Virginia responds, it is an incorrect
- 3:47statement that I have now found out that my employment
- 3:51started in two thousand. Menager, all right, and to the
- 3:55best of your recollection. You found that out in the
- 3:57middle of twenty fifteen. Correct to this, Sigared McCauley objects.
- 4:03Virginia continues, to the best of my recollection, I mean,
- 4:06I can't pinpoint an exact date I found out, but yes.
- 4:10Meninger goes on to continue about a year ago. And
- 4:14then there's a pause here for a second, and then
- 4:16the other lawyer, Pagliuca, as if we're all participating in
- 4:21this deposition or just and to that he's cut off
- 4:25by Sigared McCauley, and she says the same way, you
- 4:28guys did. Pagliuca responds, we did not. Menager says I
- 4:32did not. McCauley says, you both objected. Manager says no.
- 4:37Pagliuca goes, no, we didn't. Back to McCauley, who says
- 4:41we can go through the record. Pagliuca says, we sure can.
- 4:45So if we're all participating, maybe I'll have a few
- 4:48questions at the end of this. I think we should
- 4:50limit this to one lawyer, and your statement about two
- 4:53lawyers participating and the last deposition is wrong. McCauley responds, well,
- 4:58I recall that she got a microphone because she said
- 5:01she was going to be objecting, so Pagliuca responds, I
- 5:04know she put on a microphone and we didn't speak
- 5:07through the whole thing. Cigarete McCauley responds, well, we can
- 5:11take a look back at the record. You know it's
- 5:13not a problem. Brad can make the objections. Pagliuk Okay,
- 5:17let's take care of it that way. Then, Edwards, can
- 5:21you tell me when you're at a good stopping point, Menager,
- 5:25I was about to say it's been an hour. Edwards responds, yeah, Menager,
- 5:29so this would be a good time to take a break.
- 5:32Brad Edwards okay, thanks. So the participants take a fifteen
- 5:37minute break at this point, and they recess from ten
- 5:40twelve am to ten twenty seven am. When they come back,
- 5:43Menager gets busy again. All right, Virginia, you testified that
- 5:48you first became aware that you your employment at mar
- 5:52A Lago began in two thousand. In mid twenty fifteen,
- 5:55correct Edwards once again, object a form mischaracter rises her testimony.
- 6:01Virginia responds, I don't know exactly when. It could be
- 6:05towards the end of twenty fifteen, it could be towards
- 6:08the beginning of twenty sixteen. I just know that I've
- 6:12learned about it recently. I'm not too sure exactly what
- 6:15date I did learn about it. Menager. Okay, but to
- 6:19your mind, it's been within the last six to twelve months.
- 6:23Is that fair, Virginia. I wouldn't say twelve months. No,
- 6:27I would just say up until. I don't know when
- 6:29I was shown that when I actually first saw it,
- 6:32but it wasn't a year ago. Menager? Saw your employment
- 6:38records from mar A Lago, Virginia, correct? Menager? Okay. I'm
- 6:44going to show you an exhibit marked as defendants Exhibit thirteen. Menager, Okay,
- 6:49all right, Virginia. Do you recognize this document? Virginia responds yes,
- 6:54I do. Menager. What is this document? Virginia? This is
- 6:59a resume that I created myself. Manager, all right? And
- 7:03what address did you put at the top of your resume?
- 7:06Virginia answers, but this is redacted? Manager. And when did
- 7:11you live at that address? Virginia? I believe from twenty
- 7:15thirteen to twenty fourteen? Menager? Okay, and you said you
- 7:20created this document, correct, Virginia, yes, Menager. And did you
- 7:25send it out to any employers Virginia, do you have
- 7:29any attachments that this goes with to say that I have,
- 7:32because I'm not too sure. I've created a lot of resumes, Menager, Okay,
- 7:37and hold on, I'll see if we do. Manager, all right,
- 7:41I'll mark this next as defendants Exhibit fourteen. Virginia, thank you, Manager,
- 7:47all right. Do you recognize this document? Virginia, yes, Manager.
- 7:52What is this document? Virginia? This is me replying for
- 7:56ads to jobs? Menager, okay, And you were communicating with
- 8:02by your email, correct, Virginia, yes, Menager, all right, and
- 8:06I apologize. This one actually has a resume attached to
- 8:10an email. Virginia, Uh huh, Menager. Do you see that
- 8:14towards the back of the document? Virginia, yes, I do, Menager. Okay.
- 8:20So Virginia responds, sorry, Manager. To whom, to whom with
- 8:26whom were you communicating with about a job at this time? Virginia, Well,
- 8:31on the very top, filler, Gary, And that was for
- 8:33a bartending position, Menainger, okay. Was that something that your
- 8:38brother had recommended or your father? I don't know who, Virginia.
- 8:42You know, I just looked at that. That's kind of
- 8:45why I giggled. I don't know why. Am my brother.
- 8:47That's my brother. That's the way we talk to each other.
- 8:50High stupid head, good luck, smelly signed sissy. He's my
- 8:54little brother, so you have to understand we kind of
- 8:57play around, but subject to my resume for hospitality. I'm
- 9:01not too sure why he would have gotten it, but
- 9:03apparently he did. Menager. Okay, and you see that your
- 9:08resume was attached to an email communication that you had
- 9:11with your brother, Virginia. Yes, I do, Menager, right, And
- 9:16that's also your brother was part of the email chain
- 9:19with respect to an ad placed on Craigslist for a position. Correct, Virginia,
- 9:24he was on. Let me just check the dates then, Menager. Sure, Virginia,
- 9:28the twentieth of January twenty fourteen and the twenty first,
- 9:33so just within a day of each other. Yes, Menager,
- 9:36all right. Then the resume that's attached is the address
- 9:41you were living at in January. Virginia interjects, yes, Menager
- 9:46of twenty fourteen. Correct. Virginia responds again, correct, Menager, all right.
- 9:51So you believe you created the resume that's attached to
- 9:55the defendant's exhibit fourteen correct, Virginia, correct, And you sent
- 10:01it out with respect to this employment you saw on craigslist, correct, Virginia.
- 10:06That's correct, Menager. And you are the only one who
- 10:10put into this document the contents of the resume, right, Virginia, Yes, Menainger,
- 10:17all right, And to this, Brad Edwards once again interjects,
- 10:21we're talking about the resume that's attached to Exhibit fourteen, right, Meninger,
- 10:26we are Edwards Okay, got it, Menager. Thank you for clarifying. Edwards,
- 10:31got it, Menager. Although I don't know there are any
- 10:34differences with the defendants Exhibit thirteen, Menager, but just to
- 10:40be safe, you believe the one attached to defendants fourteen
- 10:44is the one that you sent. Virginia responds. There are differences,
- 10:48isn't there? Yes, there is, Menager. Okay, what are the
- 10:51differences that you know, Virginia. It starts. I mean, let
- 10:55me see. The very top introduction is the same, uh huh, Virginia.
- 11:01After the experience, Menager, Uh huh, Virginia. That changes, the
- 11:06day changes. And then underneath the employment training recruitment is
- 11:10into go bar and grill on exhibit fourteen. On Exhibit thirteen,
- 11:14it's Manuey logistics Underneath employment training and recruiting, and then
- 11:19underneath Manuey Logistics on Exhibit thirteen is mar A Lago
- 11:23Resort and spa, and on Exhibit fourteen is gemmictering wedding receptions.
- 11:28So there is quite a few differences, Menager, Okay, great.
- 11:32Do you have any idea when you sent out defendants
- 11:35Exhibit thirteen or if you did to an employer, Virginia answers.
- 11:40Unless you have something that's attached to it, I can't
- 11:42be sure that I did. Okay, Is the content in
- 11:46defendants Exhibit fourteen that you believe you sent out to
- 11:50an employer correct? Unfortunately, Virginia Answers, I have to tell
- 11:54you they are not correct. Through my experience, I was
- 11:58in the mindset that I was unemployable. I had been
- 12:01abused for many years, and I was told by a
- 12:04job agency that I need to show that I have
- 12:07consistently worked at various places and given experience. So it's
- 12:12not something that I'm proud of. But I have had
- 12:14a plump up my resume to make it look as
- 12:17though I could be employed. Menager, what do you mean
- 12:21plump up your resume? Virginia, Well, I couldn't. I didn't
- 12:25feel that I could go to an employer and tell
- 12:28them that I had held, you know, one job in
- 12:30the last ten to twelve years, and before that, I
- 12:33was traffic for the purpose of sex, and that's definitely
- 12:36something you don't want to put down on your resume,
- 12:39which makes you quite highly unemployable. So I did add
- 12:43places in such as Indigo Bar and Grill, Calmo, Flamenco
- 12:47Bar and restaurant manager. Wait, wait, which one, Virginia on
- 12:53Exhibit B, Menager, Uh huh, Virginia underneath experience. The dates
- 12:59are all in correct as well. It's just to show
- 13:02that I was consistently working, which I was not, and
- 13:05I needed a job to help my family. I've got
- 13:07a family of five, So, like I said, it's not
- 13:10something I'm proud of that I had to do, but
- 13:12I felt that it was the only way that I
- 13:15could actually get employed, Menager. So you lied on your resume, Virginia.
- 13:21I made it look as though I had continuously worked
- 13:24throughout the years, so that way an employer would see
- 13:27me as a potential candidate, Menager. Okay, well, let's start
- 13:32with Employment Training and Recruitment ET Australia. Did you work
- 13:36at that place of employment, Virginia, I did work there, Menager.
- 13:40What dates did you actually work there, Virginia. I know
- 13:44I finished working for we call it ET Australia, So
- 13:48if you don't mind me abbreviating it manager however you want, Virginia,
- 13:53I know I finished there in January of two thousand
- 13:56and six, right before my son was born, my first
- 13:59son was born, and I believe I worked there for
- 14:02a year. I believe, so it might have been a
- 14:04little bit over a year, but just around a year,
- 14:08all right. So you worked out of place for about
- 14:09a year, and on your resume you type that you
- 14:12worked there for nine years correct answer correct question by manager?
- 14:17And you did that correct, Virginia. I did manager? Nobody
- 14:22else type that for you, Virginia. No, I did it
- 14:25myself manager, all right. And the next employment in you
- 14:29list here, well, is your job description accurate, Virginia, Yes,
- 14:33that is actually accurate, Menager, Okay, And everything in there
- 14:38is what you actually did, Virginia. Yes, for ET Australia, Menager, Okay.
- 14:44Indigo Bar and Grill. Did you type that in Virginia?
- 14:48I did type that in manager? And did you actually
- 14:51work at Indigo Bar and Grill? Virginia, No, I did
- 14:55not menager. All right, So the dates you put on
- 14:58your resume are not true, Virginia, that's correct. Manager. The
- 15:04title of your job at that place was not correct.
- 15:07You didn't work there, right, Virginia, I never worked there. Manager.
- 15:12The description that you typed out about the things that
- 15:14you did at the Indigo Bar and Grill is made up. Correct, Virginia, Well,
- 15:19it's it's generally what you would do if you were
- 15:22a server or a waitress. But like I said, I
- 15:24did not work at the Indigo Bar and Grill manager.
- 15:28So when you represented to an employer that you were
- 15:32applying for a job that you had done these things,
- 15:34you had not actually done these things at Indigo Bar
- 15:37and Grill. Correct, Virginia, No, at Indigo Bar and Grill, no, manager.
- 15:42All right. Can you read the first sentence of your
- 15:45job description, Virginia for Indigo Bar and Grill manager, Right, Virginia,
- 15:51at this restaurant located inside of RSL, we were never slow, manager, Okay,
- 15:58so when you said we were never slow, you just
- 16:00made that up. Correct Edwards interjects, form. Virginia responds, I
- 16:06tried to give as much information to my potential employer
- 16:09to show that I could handle a large amount of
- 16:11pressure and guests. So, yes, I put that in there, Menager.
- 16:15But you represented you were there working as a server
- 16:18or waitress, that we were never slow. That is not true. Correct, Well,
- 16:23I never, Virginia responds, worked there. So it's again. I
- 16:27was very highly unemployable given my past, so I did
- 16:30whatever I could to make a look as though my
- 16:32potential employer could hire me. Menager. Okay, you described your
- 16:37duties that were not Those were fictional duties, correct, Virginia.
- 16:42There were duties that a waitress and a server would do, Manager,
- 16:46but you did not do them at Indigo Bar, Virginia.
- 16:50I did not do them at Indigo Bar and Grill. Menager. Okay,
- 16:54you described your energetic service and your service with a
- 16:57smile to the guests. That was not true, correct, Virginia.
- 17:02Everything in Indigo Bar and Grill is not correct, Menager.
- 17:05And you created that entire description, correct, Virginia, for the
- 17:10sole purpose of being able to obtain employment. Yes, I did,
- 17:15manager to get money, and to this brat Edwards objects
- 17:19once again, form Virginia answers to make a wage for
- 17:23my family, Menager. All right. The next job GEMM Catering
- 17:28and Wedding Receptions? Did it? Is that a job that
- 17:31you actually held, Virginia. I did actually work there. I
- 17:34don't know the dates, but I was the server, waitress,
- 17:37and the bartender. All Right, folks, we're gonna wrap up
- 17:40with this section here, and this is a mammoth. Folks.
- 17:43There's a lot to get through, but have no fear.
- 17:46We're gonna continue on this journey and we're gonna get
- 17:48all of these core documents that are meaningful, all of
- 17:51these core documents that are the receipts of everything that
- 17:55we talked about added to the catalog. So buckle up
- 17:58and get your barf bag red. It's gonna be a
- 18:01disgusting ride. All of the information that goes with this
- 18:04episode can be found in the description box. What's up, everyone,
- 18:08and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. This episode, we're
- 18:13gonna pick right back up where we left off with
- 18:15the Virginia Roberts deposition. So let's just dive right back
- 18:20in and not waste any time. Manager. All right, the
- 18:25next job GEMM Catering and Wedding Receptions. Did it? Is
- 18:29that job one that you actually worked Virginia? I did
- 18:33actually work there. I don't know the dates, but I
- 18:35was a server, waitress and bartender Menager March of two
- 18:40thousand and three to April two thousand and four. Is
- 18:43that about when you work there, Virginia. It could be
- 18:46very close to it. I'm not too sure. Manager, You're
- 18:49not too sure, Virginia answers, No, I'm not sure. Manager.
- 18:54Did you have children? Had you already had children at
- 18:56the time that you work there, Virginia, No, I do
- 19:00not believe that I did. I became a stay at
- 19:02home mom when I had my first child. And what
- 19:05year was that, Virginia responds two thousand and six? Manager. Okay,
- 19:10so you believe you worked at Gemmy Catering and Wedding
- 19:13Receptions before two thousand and six, Virginia. I believe so, manager.
- 19:19And other than that, you can't recall what dates that
- 19:21you worked there, Virginia, I'm sorry, I couldn't help. No, Manager,
- 19:26all right, and then what were your actual Is that
- 19:30your actual job that you had there, Virginia. The description
- 19:34of it manager, the title server, waitress, bartender, Virginia, yes, manager,
- 19:41all right? Is the description accurate, Virginia to a tea manager?
- 19:47What's that Virginia to a tea. Manager. Okay, the next
- 19:52job you list is man way logistics logistics receptionist. Is
- 19:56that a job that you actually held, Virginia it This
- 20:00is a job that I held, Manager, And when did
- 20:02you hold it? Virginia. Again, I'm very bad at dates.
- 20:06I'm not too sure, Manager, all right, Approximately when did
- 20:10you have it, Virginia. I don't want to speculate and
- 20:13give you the wrong answer, so I'm not too sure. Manager.
- 20:16Did you have children at the time you worked there, Virginia, No, Manager,
- 20:21So before two thousand and six, Virginia, yes, Manager, And
- 20:26after you moved to Australia, which was what year, Virginia.
- 20:30I moved to Australia at the end of two thousand
- 20:32and two, I believe, Manager. All right. Do you recall
- 20:36going to work shortly after you got to Australia, Virginia, yes, Manager,
- 20:42How Virginia interrupts. I had to obtain my ability to
- 20:45work there, so I think that took a couple months.
- 20:48You can get a temporary visa that allows you to
- 20:51work while you're waiting for your permanent resident status, and
- 20:54that's what we did. Manager, all right. Were you able
- 20:57to apply for that temporary job permission before you actually
- 21:01got married in Australia, Virginia. I got married in aus well,
- 21:06we were married in Thailand, really, but we made it
- 21:08official in January of two thousand and three, and within
- 21:12a couple of weeks I was granted the permission to
- 21:14work in Australia legally. Manager. Okay, so, to the best
- 21:18of your recollection, you got permission to work in Australia
- 21:22sometime in the spring of two thousand and three. To this,
- 21:25Brad Edwards objects to form and then Virginia answers, that's
- 21:29actually summer over there, manager, fair enough, the first quarter
- 21:34of the year, calendar year, Virginia. Yes, Manager, two thousand
- 21:38and three, Virginia. If we're going to be politically correct, yes,
- 21:43that's what you recall, Menager, ass Virginia indicating I'm sorry, yes, manager.
- 21:49And is your description of Manuay Logistics correct, Virginia, Yes, Manager,
- 21:55all right? And how long did you work there, Virginia.
- 21:58I think it was less than a year that I
- 22:00worked there. I would approximate about six seven months. Menager.
- 22:05Can you name one coworker you had, or boss or
- 22:07anybody else that knew that you worked there? Virginia. I
- 22:11know her name started with an M, but I can't remember.
- 22:14I remember what she looks like. I just don't remember
- 22:17her name. Menager, okay? And how much did you make there, Virginia.
- 22:23I don't remember the exact amount, approximately about twenty dollars
- 22:26an hour, I think, menager. And how many hours per
- 22:30week were you working for that six months to a year, Virginia.
- 22:34I believe it was full time menager, and is full
- 22:38time the same in Australia? Virginia. Yeah, it's a forty
- 22:42hour week menager. Okay, Virginia, well, thirty eight because you
- 22:46get two hours for lunch. So yes, manager. Alright, have
- 22:50you been in touch with anyone from that employment in
- 22:53a while? Virginia? Answer is no, menager alright. The next
- 22:57job listed there is what Virginia answers, cal Mal Flamenco
- 23:02Bar and restaurant manager. Is that someplace you actually worked, Virginia, No,
- 23:08it's not menager. Is that a place that actually exists, Virginia?
- 23:13I don't really know menager all right, Virginia. I mean
- 23:17I think I looked on the internet and found something
- 23:19similar to what the description I was needing to fill,
- 23:22and that was it, Menager. Okay. So when you were
- 23:26creating this document in twenty thirteen, twenty fourteen, right, that's
- 23:31when you had the Titus Villa address, Virginia, Yes, Manager,
- 23:35all right. You went on the Internet and you search
- 23:38for a place that would be like the job you
- 23:40were looking for, Virginia responds, correct, Manager, and you found
- 23:45the name of an actual place, cal Mal Flamenco Bar
- 23:48and Restaurant. Did I get that right, Virginia. I'm not
- 23:52one hundred percent on that, but I think so, Menager, okay.
- 23:56And you did that in order to impress the employer
- 23:59you were applying for here in the email, correct, Virginia, correct, Menager,
- 24:04all right. And you did that in order to get
- 24:06money from a job that you hope to get from
- 24:09this employer. In the email, correct, Virginia, I was hoping
- 24:13to get employment and not having much experience. I put
- 24:16that in there that I had the experience, Manager, okay.
- 24:20And you said that you had been advised to plump
- 24:22up your resume by a job agency, Is that right, Virginia, Yes, Manager.
- 24:28What was the name of that job agency, Virginia. Before
- 24:33I worked at ET Australia, I was actually a job
- 24:35seeker there and the job seeker, I don't know if
- 24:38you're familiar with the term somebody who is looking for
- 24:41work and you go to a job agency and you
- 24:43go look on the computer and you actually have somebody
- 24:46who helps you find employment, and they are the ones
- 24:49who recommend that you show that you've continuously worked throughout
- 24:53your years. They ended up really liking me, so that's
- 24:56how I got the job there. Menager, Okay, was it
- 24:59a particular person in there that gave you the advice
- 25:01to plump up your resume? Virginia? It would have been
- 25:05one of the counselors, Menager, which one, Virginia? I don't know. Menager, Okay,
- 25:11do you remember the names of any of the counselors, Virginia.
- 25:14I only remember the name of one of the girls
- 25:16I work with, but I don't remember. I don't remember
- 25:20anyone else's name. Manager. When did you first become a
- 25:24job seeker at ET Australia, Virginia, Well, if I finished
- 25:29there in two thousand and six, and I worked there
- 25:31for approximately a year, it would have had to have
- 25:34been two thousand and five, late two thousand and four,
- 25:36two thousand and five. I'm not too sure. Menager. Okay.
- 25:40So you were a job seeker there first, and then
- 25:43you got the employment there, right, Virginia, Yes, menager okay.
- 25:48So the advice to plump up your resume was while
- 25:50you were seeking a job or while you were employed there, Virginia,
- 25:55while I was seeking a job, manager, all right, and
- 25:58you were assigned to counselor Virginia, yes, menager, one or
- 26:04more than one, Virginia. It changes on a daily basis.
- 26:07There's somebody who comes into the office and they sit
- 26:10with you and they help you with your resume, and
- 26:12then they help you go on the computer and look
- 26:15for open vacancies menagers. So someone in approximately two thousand
- 26:20and five gave you the advice to plump up your resume,
- 26:23that's what you're saying, Virginia, to make it look like
- 26:26I've continuously worked. Yes, Yo, Meninger's acting like this is
- 26:30something that's crazy. It's not. I can't tell you how
- 26:34many employees I've had through the years who plumped up
- 26:37their resume. Give me a break already. What she's trying
- 26:40to do is destroy Virginia's credibility, and as we all
- 26:43know now, it didn't work out so well for them.
- 26:46Did it Meninger. Okay, So back to the Calmal Flamenco
- 26:52Bar and Grill, which is a place you found on
- 26:55the internet but did not actually work. Is that the
- 26:58dates for your employment there December TI, two thousand and
- 27:00one to February two thousand and three not true? Correct Virginia.
- 27:05Obviously Yes, at the time I was during two thousand
- 27:10and one, I was with Jeffrey and Golaine being trafficked. Manager.
- 27:15Uh huh, So you were not working at the Calmal
- 27:18Flamenco Bar Virginia obviously not Yes, manager, And you said
- 27:24you got back to Australia in late two and did
- 27:27not work there between late two and February of three.
- 27:31Correct Virginia. I've never worked at Calmuth Flamenco Bar and
- 27:36Grill period. Manager all right. And the job description that
- 27:41you crafted there is also fictional. Correct Virginia. Yes, manager,
- 27:47all right. And mar al Lago Resort and Spa you
- 27:50put down as a place you had worked, correct Virginia,
- 27:54Correct manager, and you typed in August two thousand to
- 27:57September two thousand and one, correct Virginia, Correct manager, and
- 28:03you created your job description there correct Virginia. Correct manager,
- 28:09all right, And then turning to the last page, you
- 28:12have your education, correct, Virginia. Can I just make a
- 28:17statement to say that again, with the mar al Lago
- 28:20resort and SPA, I did have to add dates to
- 28:22make it look as though I had continuously worked, So
- 28:26those again are incorrect dates, Menager. But it is a
- 28:30date that you typed into a resume in twenty thirteen
- 28:34or twenty fourteen. And to this, Virginia interrupts this statement,
- 28:40that is the date that then Menager itterrupts back. If
- 28:43you could just let me finish with my question, Virginia responds, sure, Manager,
- 28:49that is a date that you typed into your resume
- 28:51in twenty thirteen or twenty fourteen. Correct, Virginia, that is
- 28:56the date that I did type in, But those are
- 28:58incorrect dates, manager, all right, Virginia. And as well as
- 29:04the position organizing making and canceling appointments for massage therapists. Menager, alright, Virginia,
- 29:12I mean I was their locker room attendant. I just
- 29:15wanted it to sound like I had more receptionist experience
- 29:18than I did. You wanted it to look like you
- 29:21had more experience than you had had. Correct, that's what
- 29:25you just said, Virginia, correct. I mean, given that my
- 29:29past had not enabled me to be able to look
- 29:31for work, or I wasn't able to put down that
- 29:34I actually had had to do in my past, so
- 29:37I made it look as though I was able to
- 29:38be employed. Menager, you did not have the past that
- 29:42you thought the employer was looking for, right, Virginia. I
- 29:46couldn't put down on there that I was sex trafficked
- 29:48for a couple of years and did not have the
- 29:50experience to be able to apply for jobs and provide
- 29:54for my family. So this is something that I said. Again,
- 29:57I am not proud of it, but I felt it
- 29:59was necessary to be able to gain employment. Manager, all right.
- 30:04So you were applying for a job at a restaurant, right, Virginia.
- 30:08At this according to the front of email, Yes, manager,
- 30:12all right? And you did not put down Taco Bell
- 30:14on the resume, correct, Virginia. No, The only jobs on
- 30:18here are the ones that we have mentioned, Menager. Right,
- 30:22And so why did you choose August of two thousand
- 30:26as your start date for mar A Lago, Virginia. It
- 30:29just looks as though I've given them a long standing
- 30:32history of employment. Manager, You chose a month. Why did
- 30:37you choose that month, Virginia. I chose months and dates
- 30:41for every single position on that resume. There's no specific
- 30:45reason why I chose that month. It was just purely
- 30:48to show that I was continuously employed. Menager. On the
- 30:53last page, it has some education, which part of that
- 30:56is untrue. Brad Edwards objects to this and Virginia, I
- 31:01have received my Business Administration Certificate three from ET Australia.
- 31:06I've never held Responsible Service of Alcohol and Gambling manager.
- 31:12Do you understand to be a licensing of some sort
- 31:15or a class or what do you understand that? Virginia
- 31:18then interrupts. In Australia, you have to have something called
- 31:22an RSA and RCG to be able to work as
- 31:25a waitress or a bartender or anything. And I didn't
- 31:29know if it was the same out here in America,
- 31:31so I put down that I had. I had taken
- 31:34a CPR and first Aid. I don't remember when, but
- 31:37it's not current. And I did go to Royal Palm
- 31:41Beach High School and I didn't put down a degree
- 31:43there or anything. Manager, So it's fair to say that
- 31:48you've never worked as a waitress in Australia. Is that
- 31:51what you just said, Virginia, I did work as a
- 31:54waitress at Gemma Catering. Manager. Oh okay, Virginia, I don't believe.
- 31:59I know I need my RSA to work there. I'm
- 32:02not too sure, manager, all right? And if I could
- 32:05just ask you one other question about Gemma Cating. In
- 32:08the last line of the job description, it says this
- 32:11job was a second job. I worked in the evenings
- 32:14and weekends for saving extra cash. What was it that
- 32:17was the second job to you, Virginia in my time period?
- 32:22Is right? It would be my second job to Manuey
- 32:25Logistics because they were both Gemma Catoring and Manuey Logistics
- 32:29were both in Sydney, whereas ET Australia was on the
- 32:33Central Coast. All right, Et Australia on the central coast, Virginia, correct, Manager,
- 32:41and Gemma Manwey is in Sydney. Virginia's in Sydney, Yeah, Manager,
- 32:47all right? Got it? Do you know if those organizations
- 32:50still exist, Virginia Manwey, I would definitely say it's a
- 32:55very large logistic company. I would say it still does exist.
- 32:59Jemmy Caa. I'm not too sure if that exists anymore.
- 33:03All right, folks, we're gonna wrap up this part right here,
- 33:06and in the next episode when we're talking about this topic,
- 33:09we're going to pick up where we left off. All
- 33:12of the information that goes with this episode can be
- 33:15found in the description box. What's up, everyone, and welcome
- 33:20back to the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going
- 33:23to continue taking a look at the Virginia Roberts deposition.
- 33:28So let's get right back to it, Menager, Okay, all right, So,
- 33:33did you spend your sixteenth birthday with Gallan Maxwell and
- 33:37Jeffrey Epstein Virginia. No, I was sixteen when I met them,
- 33:41now that I know the correct dates, so I would
- 33:44have spent my seventeenth birthday with them. Manager. So when
- 33:48you represented that you spent your sixteenth birthday with Glean
- 33:52Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein, that was not true. Correct at
- 33:56my ability at the time, That's what I believe to
- 33:59be true. It wasn't until I found the mar A
- 34:02Lago record stating the year two thousand. Me being born
- 34:05in nineteen eighty three would make me turning seventeen that year. Manager,
- 34:10So please describe for me your seventeenth birthday that you
- 34:13claim you spent with Glaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein. Virginia.
- 34:19I remember spending a birthday with them on that Jeffrey
- 34:22Epstein's island called Little Saint Jeff's. I wouldn't say it
- 34:25was a party. It was just Golaine, me, Jeffrey. I
- 34:29believe redacted was there. I got some presents from them, Manager,
- 34:34What presence did you get, Virginia. Glaine gave me a
- 34:37whole bunch of makeup, like boxes of different kinds of
- 34:40eyeshadows and lipsticks and just make up all together. Jeffrey
- 34:45gave me a bracelet, and I think earrings, Menager. What
- 34:48kind of earrings, Virginia? They were what I believe to
- 34:52be diamonds. I don't know what they exactly were. I
- 34:55think Jeffrey was talking about. They could have been passed
- 34:59off good knockoffs, but they appeared to be diamonds, Menager.
- 35:03Any other presence, Virginia. I remember the makeup and the jewelry.
- 35:07I don't remember much else, Menager. And that was your
- 35:11seventeenth birthday, you said. Edward's here interjects once again for form.
- 35:17Virginia then responds, it's hard for me. To really pinpoint
- 35:20exactly which birthday it was, Menager. So it could have
- 35:25been your eighteenth or your nineteenth, Virginia, I don't want
- 35:29to lock down on which exact birthday it could have
- 35:31been without knowing, Menager, you don't know which birthday it was.
- 35:35Is that what you're saying, Virginia, the one that I'm
- 35:38specifically telling you about, Menager? Right, you don't know which one, Virginia, No, Menager,
- 35:45all right? Do you remember spending more than one birthday
- 35:48with Jeffrey Epstein and Glene Maxwell, Virginia, yes, Menager, Okay,
- 35:54tell me about the other ones that you remember, Virginia. Well,
- 35:58I know my nineteenth birthday. I can't remember really my
- 36:01eighteenth birthday, but my nineteenth birthday. We celebrated it early,
- 36:05earlier than my actual date of birth, and that's when
- 36:08he surprised me with tickets to Thailand. Menager, What do
- 36:12you mean surprised you with tickets to Thailand? Virginia. He
- 36:16told me that the tickets for Thailand were for my birthday. Manager.
- 36:20Did he hand you something that looked like a ticket
- 36:22to Thailand? What do you mean, Virginia, He didn't hand
- 36:26me the tickets at that time, but he told me
- 36:28that he had booked me in a massage training at
- 36:31an institute at Chang May, Menager. And he told you
- 36:36that he had booked you tickets to massage training in
- 36:39Chiang May, Thailand, sometime before your actual nineteenth birthday. Edwards
- 36:44once again objects to form. Menager. Did I get that right?
- 36:48Virginia answers, yes, Manager, Okay, did he hand you Virginia interrupts,
- 36:54excuse me, manager, hand you anything at that time? Virginia, No,
- 36:59I don't think so, oh, manager. And where were you
- 37:02located when he told you this about the Thailand massage training, Virginia.
- 37:08Jeffrey Gulaine and I had just gone scuba not scuba diving,
- 37:12not with the big tanks, bud snorkeling with just the
- 37:15mask and the two piece, and on Jeffrey's island by
- 37:18the way, and we had just gone out for a
- 37:20while and we had come back and he's got a
- 37:23new pier where it's got a ladder that you can
- 37:26climb up, and we were wearing wet suits, so we
- 37:29were taking off our flippers and our wet suits and
- 37:32all of our gear, and they said they wanted to
- 37:34sit down and talk to me, just the three of us,
- 37:37and he first he told me about the she's interrupted
- 37:41here by menager. If I could just stop you, I
- 37:44think I asked where you were, Virginia. Oh, I'm sorry,
- 37:48Manager interrupts again. When you had this conversation about the
- 37:51Virginia now interrupts her. Just the island. I'm just trying
- 37:55to describe the instance that he gave it to me. Manager. Oh, okay, Virginia.
- 38:02It was on the island, on the pier in the Caribbean.
- 38:05Manager okay. And it was some time before your nineteenth birthday, Virginia.
- 38:10Correct Manager, how much time before, Virginia, I don't know.
- 38:14A couple six weeks, a couple of months. I don't know,
- 38:18close to my birthday. It was my birthday present. That's
- 38:21what he told me. Manager okay. So you don't know
- 38:25when you had this conversation, Brad Edwards to this objects
- 38:29to form, Virginia. I mean, I know I didn't record
- 38:35the time and the date, so I can only speculate
- 38:38it was shortly before my birthday, but not on my birthday. Manager, okay.
- 38:44And he told you he had booked the tickets for
- 38:47you to go to Thailand, right, Virginia. Correct. Manager, all right,
- 38:51So you remember one birthday at which you receive makeup, bracelet,
- 38:55and earrings, and one birthday at which you receive tickets
- 38:59to Thailand. Do you remember any other birthdays that you
- 39:03spent with Jeffrey Epstein and Lord Glenn Maxwell. Virginia, I'm
- 39:07sure there is, but I honestly can't remember what I
- 39:11did for my eighteenth birthday. Menager? Okay, well, I'm sorry.
- 39:15Did you know for sure that the bracelet, earrings, and
- 39:18makeup were from your seventeenth birthday or do you know, Virginia.
- 39:23I don't know, Menager, but you know they were not
- 39:27for your sixteenth birthday, right, Virginia, correct? Menager? All right?
- 39:33If I could have you go back to defendant's exhibit one,
- 39:36I think, Virginia defendant sorry, exhibit one, Menager. Yeah, page nine,
- 39:42either at the bottom or in the upper right hand corner.
- 39:46Do you see that page, Virginia, Page nine of twenty seven, yes, Manager,
- 39:52all right? And paragraph twenty three. Do you see that paragraph? Virginia?
- 39:56I see the paragraph, Manager, all right. Virgin I was
- 40:00just going to read it over quickly, manager, by all means,
- 40:04Virginia responds, I've read it, Manager, and the sentence, defendant
- 40:09and miss Maxwell acknowledged and celebrated plaintiff's sixteenth birthday. Is
- 40:13that not a true statement, correct, Virginia. Only upon learning
- 40:18about the fact that I just found out my records,
- 40:21I assumed at the time it was my sixteenth birthday.
- 40:24But now we know different. Menager. You admit, as you
- 40:29sit here today, the defendant and Miss Maxwell did not
- 40:32celebrate your sixteenth birthday with you. Correct, Virginia. Correct, based
- 40:37upon the records, Menager, which you don't know when you
- 40:41saw Virginia. I know it was, you know it wasn't
- 40:46It wasn't a year ago, but it wasn't that long
- 40:48ago either, So I'm not too sure I can tell
- 40:51you that the date that I actually saw them, Menager.
- 40:54All right, last year, you lived in Colorado for a
- 40:57part of the year. Correct Virginia for part of the year, yes, Menager,
- 41:02And then you moved to Australia. Correct Virginia. Yes, Menager.
- 41:07You did not live in Florida at any point in
- 41:10time during twenty fifteen, correct, Virginia. I believe I left
- 41:15Titusville at the end of twenty fourteen. Okay, so you
- 41:19did not live in Florida during twenty fifteen, correct, Menager,
- 41:23ass Virginia, I believe so, Menager. All right, So when
- 41:28you reviewed these records sometime in twenty fifteen, that caused
- 41:32you to know the real date of when you worked
- 41:35at mar A Lago where you were physically located. And
- 41:38to this question, brad Edwards once again objects to the
- 41:41form and mischaracterized of her testimony. Virginia, I don't remember
- 41:46where I saw these records. When I saw these records,
- 41:49I know it wasn't a year ago. I know it
- 41:51was more recent. I can't pinpoint the date that I
- 41:54actually saw them, but I recently, I believe. I don't know.
- 41:58I don't want to sit here and speculate and give
- 42:00you the wrong answer. It's just new knowledge to me. Menager,
- 42:04all right. Did you receive the records by email? Virginia,
- 42:07I believe so, Menager. Okay. Did you use any email
- 42:11address other than redacted? Virginia, No, Menager, that's the only
- 42:17email address that you've used, Virginia. That's correct, Menager. And
- 42:22the mar A Lago records that you reviewed you received
- 42:25by email at that email address. Virginia. Possibly, I mean,
- 42:29I can't say one hundred percent. I could have been
- 42:32told about them. I could have seen them on a
- 42:34piece of paper. I really don't know. This is a
- 42:37very hazy subject. All I know is that I found
- 42:40out and that was able to clarify a lot of
- 42:43dates for us. Menager, Okay, what other dates were clarified?
- 42:48Edwards again interjects, Here I object and instruct the witness
- 42:52not to answer if any of your knowledge is based
- 42:55on any privileged communication that you had between yourself and
- 42:59any of your lawyers. Mener, Okay, you just said you
- 43:02review the records yourself. Correct, Brad Edwards object that mischaracterized
- 43:09your testimony. She actually just testified that she may have
- 43:12heard it. Menager, No, you're not testifying. I've asked her
- 43:17to that. Edwards interjects, I'm clearing the record up right now, though, Manager,
- 43:22you can object based on form. That's a valid objection.
- 43:25You've made your record. Menager, did you review records that
- 43:30clarified dates for you, Virginia, I've either reviewed them or
- 43:34I've been told about them. I can't remember. I'm sorry.
- 43:37I know I know now that the dates are what
- 43:39they are, but I don't remember. Menager, you don't remember
- 43:44when you learn that the dates are what they are. Virginia, No,
- 43:47I don't, Manager, and your best guess is what to this?
- 43:53Once again, Brad Edwards has an objection if any of
- 43:56your answer is based on attorney client privilege, I'm instructed
- 44:00you not to answer, Virginia. I can't answer, then, Menager. Okay,
- 44:05so have your attorneys told you to change your dates?
- 44:08Edwards objects again, objection, do not answer that question. This
- 44:12is a question intentionally devised to invade the attorney client privilege.
- 44:17She's not going to answer those questions. Manager, you can
- 44:20answer a question about whether your attorneys had told you
- 44:24a lie, because that would be a crime. And I'm sure.
- 44:27And to this, Virginia interjects, I will. Manager goes on
- 44:32with her question or her statement. I should say, I'm
- 44:35sure you want to tell me that your attorneys did
- 44:37not tell you to lie. Correct, Virginia, I can tell
- 44:40you for a fact, my attorneys have never told me
- 44:42to lie. Menager, All right, did your attorney tell you
- 44:47to change a date? Edwards again objects. She's not answering
- 44:51any questions about communications between her lawyers and herself, period. Menager.
- 44:57So if I could also direct your attention to defendants
- 45:00Exhibit eight. It's the manuscript. If you could turn to
- 45:03page forty, the videographer. I just have a quick request, Council,
- 45:08Miss Roberts, would you mind bringing the mike higher up
- 45:11on your jacket, please, Virginia, sure, the videographer, Thank you, Virginia.
- 45:16Tell me if that's okay? Better? Okay? Page forty Menager, right,
- 45:22did you see the first full paragraph of that page?
- 45:24I do. The first line begins, I spent my sweet
- 45:27sixteenth birthday on the island in the Caribbean, next to
- 45:31little Saint James Isle. He liked to call it Little
- 45:33Saint Jeff's. His ego was enormous, just as his appetite
- 45:38was for fornicating. Do you see that sentence, Virginia, I do, Manager,
- 45:44That is not true, correct, you are not spending your
- 45:47sweet sixteenth birthday on little Saint James Isle. Correct, Virginia.
- 45:51Based on my knowledge at the time that I wrote
- 45:54this manuscript, I thought I did spend my sixteenth birthday there,
- 45:57and so I put it down in there as that.
- 46:00Now I know that it wasn't my sixteenth birthday or
- 46:03your sweet sixteenth birthday, Virginia well edwards again, objects aform harassing, menager,
- 46:11was it your sweet sixteenth birthday? Virginia? It is not
- 46:14customed to call your sixteenth birthday sweet? Have you never
- 46:18heard the saying before? Manager? Was it your sweet sixteenth birthday? Virginia?
- 46:24Virginia answers as we Edwards again interjects, she's answered the question.
- 46:29It's been asked and answered, Menager. She asked me a question. Actually,
- 46:34you're not testifying here, menager. Was it your sweet sixteenth birthday, Virginia?
- 46:40As I thought in the manuscript when I wrote it,
- 46:42it was my sweet sixteenth birthday? Menager. Okay, now that
- 46:47you know it wasn't. Where did you spend your sweet
- 46:50sixteenth birthday? Virginia? Well, I don't know, Manager, Well, just
- 46:55give us your best guess. Brad Edwards objects again, objection.
- 47:00She's not going to guest today. She's going to tell
- 47:02you the answers she remembers, and speaking to Virginia, he says,
