- 1:00Drama Darling. Good day, everybody, It's me Amy Phillips here with Drama
- 1:10Darling. My co host today is Deanna Chang. Hey, Deanna, Wow,
- 1:17Amy, I feel I feel so welcomed in Thank you, oh,
- 1:23oh my god, thank you for saying welcomed in. If you didn't hear
- 1:26last week's episode, I've let everybody know that the thing that restaurants are doing,
- 1:32stores are doing now the new trend is saying welcome in, Deanna.
- 1:37I feel like you should cover this in your hot how to be less old
- 1:42substack. This could be a whole thing. And on that note, I
- 1:46will say that yesterday's tour of Warner Brothers Turner Classic Movies Movie Tour was fabulous.
- 1:55I went with my parents and it was amazing. We had such a
- 2:00great time. We had a wonderful tour guide named Jack, and boy was
- 2:06it fantastic. I highly recommend to folks who want to know more about the
- 2:10history of the studios, and you know, it weaves in obviously the older
- 2:15movies and the stories behind that, which is they did a great job about
- 2:20it. A very quaint tour. I mean, we filled up one little
- 2:25tram, you know. Love it. They ushered us into a waiting room
- 2:31in which it was a well, it was like a room in which they
- 2:37gave us. They're like, okay, be in here, make yourselves at
- 2:38home, and we'll be leaving for the tour in a few minutes. Help
- 2:43yourselves to baked goods, coffee, tea, snacks, other beverages and listen
- 2:50to some lovely calming music. I mean, you're listening to the Chariots of
- 2:53Fire soundtrack while you're having you know, pastries from Portos that were complimentary,
- 3:00and I was like, boy, do they know their TCM audience, you
- 3:04know what I mean, because the other tours were not getting this. Let
- 3:07me tell you. So we're just sipping away and just a quaint, little
- 3:10quiet group. We get then escored into the screening room where we get this
- 3:15gorgeous California intro by Ben Mankowitz and the rest of the gang from TCM.
- 3:22And if you're not a TCM fan, I apologize you can skip to the
- 3:25Top Chef recap as well as the Love Island recap or even the Serving Dish
- 3:30part portion of this show. But I will say we did get to go
- 3:37on the prop house, which the other tours do not get to do well.
- 3:42And you know, we got pointed out all three houses the Doris Day
- 3:45filmed movies in, whereas the other tours aren't going to get that, you
- 3:47know what I mean, nor would they probably care. So it was just
- 3:52so wonderful. Also, my daughter is doing the Annie Musical this summer at
- 3:57theater Camp and on New York Street. They have like a mock up of
- 4:02you know, in the back lot where they have all the set sets,
- 4:08like the outdoor facades of buildings where they shoot. They have New York Street,
- 4:14they have Hennessy Street, they've got a Midwest area. And on the
- 4:17New York Street they showed us the Orphanage that was well, that was the
- 4:24Orphanage in the nineteen seventy two version of Annie. And oh, Deanna is
- 4:29getting choked up now and that would kill me. That's just epic. That's
- 4:32my childhood. That's just epic. I'm telling you, Deanna. I was
- 4:36floored. And he's like, and that was from Annie. I'm like,
- 4:40oh my mom and dad and I were like, oh my gosh. And
- 4:42he's like, wow, a lot of Annie fans here. And I was
- 4:45like, my daughter is doing the musical this summer. So I got to
- 4:49take a picture of that and then show Maddie when I came home, and
- 4:54it was just so special. I love it. You know, Amy,
- 4:59have you con considered. I know your plate is full doing tours of the
- 5:05I've loved to know. I mean you would what a dream you would literally
- 5:11be why people would like come from across the country. Oh my god,
- 5:15I would be like a star is born. That's where Garland is where she
- 5:18sing that song on that bridge. It's my favorite part. No anyway,
- 5:23go on, whoa no that like to give it the Amy Phillips jogification is
- 5:30like, that's insane. Let's not take it off the table. Okay,
- 5:34let's just put it. We'll put on the table with all the meals that
- 5:39the Top Chef contestants contestants are prepared for that table scape challenge. We're gonna
- 5:44throw that idea on the board, all right, carry pop it on over
- 5:46there. Okay. But if you get into like I do, think,
- 5:53sure, can you do Turno Classic move a Turno classic movie, you know
- 6:00podcast for the Patriot? Absolutely yeah. I also yeah, because your listenership
- 6:08is down to clown with these movies, Like I saw them in the comments.
- 6:12It is like you activated them, you know. Yes, I also
- 6:17think you could put out your own TCM podcast that would do gang Busters.
- 6:29Let me tell you, Deanna, I've been thinking about this for a while
- 6:33and I do want to do it, and I've even mentioned this to Emily
- 6:39because she is a huge TCM watcher as well. Now do you watch TCM
- 6:46not actively? Okay, you could chime in with my mom growing like tons
- 6:53and tons and tons, but I have that background I do. Then I
- 6:58feel like that will definitely be a spinoff. I already have titles in the
- 7:02mix, and I absolutely would love to do a second podcast. Obviously not
- 7:08in the cards for that first year of launching drama Darling, but I do
- 7:12think it deserves its own podcast, That's what I think. And I would
- 7:16love to do interviews with people. I would love because when I was on
- 7:20Serious XM, I did interview Alisha from TCM about that incredible spinoff, not
- 7:29spinoff, this little series that they did about fashion in the film. It
- 7:34was incredible. It was one of the best documentary series I've seen. I
- 7:39need to see that. It's great. You can get it like online.
- 7:44But and that being said, in the TCM tour, we got to go
- 7:47in the prop house, but no one gets to go in wardrobe, and
- 7:50that is disappointing. Nobody gets to go over there. You also don't get
- 7:56to see why, because I think it's just too vulnerable. You know of
- 8:03a situation. I mean, it's such an active area and so is PROPS,
- 8:07which is why they don't have people in and out of there with these
- 8:09tours, Because we were in there and some guys, you know, people
- 8:13are rummaging through there looking for a nineteen eighty seven phone. You know,
- 8:16they've got their list. They're in there, they're moving through your through you.
- 8:20And the reason why they're letting the TCM folks in there is because it's
- 8:22such a small group and we're just tame and quiet little mice, you know
- 8:26what I mean. There's no kids in it. It's it's that's why that
- 8:33being said, I highly recommend it. It's only been out, they've only
- 8:37been doing this for less than six weeks. It's very new. Oh how
- 8:41did you get alerted to it? I saw the commercial. I saw the
- 8:43promo on TCM and I was like, oh, my god, my parents
- 8:46are coming. They're gonna die. I mean, you know, to see
- 8:50this on the tour, you know, that was bleak. Yeah, but
- 8:56they're going to freak out. And I knew they'd want to do it,
- 8:58so I immediate got the tickets. But the other thing is too we bailed
- 9:03on the last quarter of the tour because they're like three parts, so the
- 9:09last part, you're gonna go and do the rest of the tour that everybody
- 9:11else is doing. Like, you're gonna go through and you're gonna see the
- 9:13costumes from like d C Comics, all the superhero stuff, the Harry Potter
- 9:20stuff, the interactive stuff. You're gonna get that quarter of the tour that
- 9:24everybody gets with everything else. It's just that you split off at the beginning
- 9:28and then you all end up together at the end. So you basically were
- 9:33like anything modern, we don't need. We'll leave that to the right.
- 9:37We're gonna just kick it old school and then let them feast the regulars rags,
- 9:46let them enjoy, you know, we don't want to muck it up
- 9:48for them. We'll be on our way. We'll be on our way.
- 9:52And they did a great job with that because you know, I mean,
- 9:54obviously they're not shooting you know, they're they're not gonna be shooting uh I'm
- 10:01sorry, I'm uh like gaslight, you know what I mean. They're not
- 10:05gonna be shooting these old movies right now, so they're not gonna be able
- 10:07to point out what stage that was on, but so they can tell you
- 10:09the history and it's visual and they have the screens in the little trams by
- 10:16the way, those trams, those little shuttles that they take you on,
- 10:20and just being outdoors and being skirted along in the weather. It's just so
- 10:24relaxing. Wow. I would like to again, did your mom or maybe
- 10:33you could do like a giveaway and do bring a listener. I don't know,
- 10:37we're spitballing today. We are, well, you know, maybe we
- 10:39should do that on the on the new podcast. Hey now, I will
- 10:46say my dad was just thrilled about the snacks. You know, I haven't
- 10:50stopped thinking about the snacks since you said it. Because what's what's easier than
- 10:56grabbing some high quality the Portos pastries and getting a little coffee going nothing but
- 11:05guess what that is a surprise and delight that the consumers will never forget.
- 11:11I you kill me, And let me tell you my parents and I were
- 11:18floored because we had little peanut butter frozen sandwiches in my bag to be eaten.
- 11:22Because this tour starts at eleven thirty, that's right in the middle of
- 11:24lunchtime, and for people as regimented as this Phillips family. Let me tell
- 11:28you that was going to be a problem. So I loaded up with whatever
- 11:31it was that we needed. I have to take care of those folks.
- 11:35And by the way, we did eat those peb and J's at the friends
- 11:39mock up Cafe because you end up in the you know, oh man,
- 11:45it was just so great. My dad went nuts about the seasoned pretzels.
- 11:50He was like, these are seasoned. I mean, he was just on
- 11:52cloud nine. I feel like I've spent way too much time talking about this,
- 11:56and so I apologize that this is super bored. But that being said,
- 12:01it's been a busy week because my parents are here and so you know,
- 12:07every and Maddie's like in this theater camp and just everyone's high needs around
- 12:11me. There's a lot of high needs happening, including my own self.
- 12:13So there's just like things that need to be taken care of twenty four to
- 12:16seven and it's just a fun time. But boy, oh boy, if
- 12:20I'm not up late, late late watching this stuff and up early early early
- 12:24watching Love Island, you know, it's crazy. It's unhinged. It is
- 12:30unhinged. So yeah, without further ado, Deanna Chang, I feel like
- 12:37we do need to get into a little dish. Okay, first and foremost,
- 12:45as we did the Lifetime movie recap of Mommy Minas starring Lisa Ritta,
- 12:50I want you all to know that there will be an upcoming recap of another
- 12:56Lifetime movie starring Bethany Frankel called Danger in the and that is airing this weekend.
- 13:01Please set your DVRs or stream it. It is June sixteenth. It's
- 13:09up for grabs. I have to check in with the darlings and see who's
- 13:13up for watching this and recapping it. Dean, I don't know if you're
- 13:15into it. I don't know if you're so turned off by Bethany at this
- 13:16point that you're like, it's a hard no. You know, I still
- 13:22consume it all, okay, Bethany. I reject it emotionally and consume it
- 13:28daily. So take that however you want to. But yeah, I will.
- 13:33I'm more actually interested in seeing Bethany than I would have ran enough.
- 13:39For whatever reason, I just I can't stop with her. I really,
- 13:45it's so rare that I skip something. It just is great. Well,
- 13:50lock yourself in then, please this next week, because I'd like to be
- 13:56part of it, and I do feel like you have your finger on the
- 13:58pulse of what she's doing in all the right for all the right reasons,
- 14:01you know what I mean. And I love that. No no, no,
- 14:03no, no, no, no, you're you're you're on it.
- 14:05I want to support that. Thank you. And then also, and then
- 14:11if you haven't heard the Mommy Meanas, that's here free anywhere you get podcasts,
- 14:16you can find the Mommy Meanest episode. You know, you just scroll
- 14:18back and ups and you'll find it. And it is a freaking romp.
- 14:22You're gonna laugh your ass off. Jamie and Angela and I did it,
- 14:26and you know, Jamie Moyer, I mean, you guys, come on,
- 14:30It's hilarious. So that's coming up. There are a lot of rumors
- 14:33circulating if you see online today about the cast of the Real Housewives of New
- 14:39Jersey being like Teresa, Dolores and Rachel and Jen are safe. But I
- 14:46was actually watching a Georgio Says video and he was like Andy Cohen did an
- 14:52interview with E and he said, look, we have not made any casting
- 14:56decisions. This is all completely up in the air. And if you see
- 15:01any rumors out there, it's all lies. So we're seeing that that's out
- 15:05there and now we're snatching it down and saying that Andy is saying this is
- 15:09all la. So that's that. I will say. I do think Andy's
- 15:16pretty truthful when it comes to that stuff in you know, I do think
- 15:24he usually keeps it. He doesn't. Yeah, maybe not one hundred,
- 15:30but like eighty nine, right, yeah, never one hundred. I mean,
- 15:33he could never keep it one hundred. Come on, come on,
- 15:39hey, guys, guess what Denise Richards. I know you all know what
- 15:45I'm gonna say, But she is going to be starring in a new docuseries
- 15:48following her life and family. People is reporting that she cannot wait for this
- 15:52adventure. It's gonna it's set to premiere on E in twenty twenty five,
- 15:58and it's a reality show. It's gonna be wow, it says Denise Richards.
- 16:03And the Wild Things, set a premiere on E twenty twenty five,
- 16:07comes sixteen years after her family's last reality show, which saw her navigating her
- 16:11divorce. Yeah, isn't that crazy because I remember watching that. Uh Nope,
- 16:15I don't. I reject that. In the name of Satan, sixteen
- 16:19years Satan begone in the name O my Jesus, she signed this deal.
- 16:26It's the show is called Denise Richards and the Wild Things. They and I
- 16:34announced this the other day. What else can I say about it? The
- 16:37thirty minute episodes, I'm going to capture the ups and downs of her life
- 16:42with her husband, Aaron Fifers Fipers. I didn't realize that was his last
- 16:48name. And also sheen with I'm sorry, her daughters Lola, Sammy and
- 16:59Elouise. So she's very excited to return to E. Wow. Well,
- 17:04you know, it almost makes me recall something you said during the which I
- 17:11thought was extremely astute when we were recapping. Yeah, when we were I'm
- 17:18fellow not really described as that, but I'm very excited to hear you.
- 17:23Oh what very much. So when you kind of clocked that Erica, when
- 17:32they had that little spat and Erica was like, and your daughter is on
- 17:37only fans and she kept saying it, you were like, there's a world
- 17:42in which that does. That was a little bit helpful to Denise, And
- 17:49that might have been something set up a little bit because even though it looks
- 17:55negative and shady, what she is saying is like, go check out my
- 18:00daughter's only fans. Yeah, wow, and so and now we have you
- 18:07know, more interest around her wild things, which I assume are her children
- 18:12and Aaron and mister Aaron five G. You know so mister five G.
- 18:18Yes, wow, Yeah, that's a really good point. It's interesting to
- 18:25me that she is. I mean, I guess you know, she probably
- 18:30maybe wanted to come back to Beverly Hills and it's just not a good fit.
- 18:33I mean, it's just not the right fit. She could never like
- 18:37really get in there and make it work. It just never seemed real.
- 18:41It never seemed she was always so lost. So and you know, it
- 18:45worked for her with her family on e So I think it's a great fit
- 18:49if she wants to go. And and I think her being on Beverly Hills
- 18:53is what really kind of put her in a poised position to have her own
- 18:57like reality show. So lucky her and thanks to you know, Bravo for
- 19:03that opportunity. Right. Yeah, it's complicated. That was the name of
- 19:10that first one. Oh my gosh, you're so right. It was.
- 19:15Yeah, it was good. It was really complicated, as maybe the title.
- 19:22Actually it didn't seem complicated at all. It was pretty straightforward. But
- 19:30it's really funny. I agree. Oh I forgot to mention on the heels
- 19:37of the Jersey News that Teresa has a new podcast out called Turning Turning the
- 19:41Tables, you know, off of her book. But remember when she was
- 19:45doing Nama Stay Bitches, Like what happened there and what happened with that that
- 19:49gal that she was doing it with, you know, I mean, it
- 19:52seems like very questionable that that went hour do we I have no intel on
- 20:03that at all. Is there rumors or anything like are people talking in the
- 20:08streets? I don't know. I did kind of fear like they had a
- 20:11falling out or something like that, or maybe that wasn't doing well. I'm
- 20:18not sure, but I will say there is some smoke going around about Louis
- 20:22and this Vivivnia company that he hasn't paid allegedly like this three hundred thousand dollars
- 20:30too, And I haven't really dug too deep on that, but there are
- 20:33headlines about that right now. So that's happening in the universe that I don't
- 20:37have the energy for, you know, no, So I'm just gonna let
- 20:42that sit now. There is also a lot of summerhouse news when it comes
- 20:47to Kyle and lindsay, I'm sorry Kyle and Amanda. WHOA is that a
- 20:52Freudian slip? And I'm gonna save that for Friday's recap of Summerhouse. Your
- 20:59bish thing therapist is going to be joining me this week, and that's over
- 21:02on Patreon. If you haven't subscribed, please do patreon dot com slash drama

- 22:15radish blah bah blah. And I was like, Okay, I'll give these
- 22:19a try. I'm not always like a great juice person. Sometimes those just
- 22:23don't fly with me. Absolutely delicious and no joke. I love, love,
- 22:32love these meals. Now I've gotten chef's choice. That's an option.

- 26:27all right. I am just I'm pleasantly not surprised. I'm pleased with
- 26:36who the top four were, and I feel, you know, the top
- 26:42two at this point, I'm happy with a little disappointed. I'm sorry,
- 26:49it's top three. I apologize, it's top Okay, I apologize, it's
- 26:55just that. And spoiler alert, we got Dan and Danny that were the
- 26:59top two. And then that's why, in my mind, they had to
- 27:00go back and decide between Lara and Savannah. It was the writing was on
- 27:07the wall, the food was on the table. We knew it was going
- 27:10to be Savannah, you know, time told, and I thought Lara did
- 27:15a great job. But it's interesting to me because she was the only one
- 27:21out of all of them that did get kicked off and worked her way back
- 27:23from Top Chef Kitchen. And that's always interesting to me because it can go
- 27:27either way. You know what, I mean, you're like that she went
- 27:32so far, you know, she almost made it into the top three,
- 27:34and good for her. But when that happens, it's always like, well,
- 27:41maybe there was a reason that person went home earlier, you know what
- 27:44I mean. Yeah, I mean, listen to four is phenomenal, you
- 27:48know, So it's phenomenal. She did great, head held high. You
- 27:52know. I think that initial shop where she took the lion's share of the
- 27:59money and left Danny without still haunted her, you know, and haunts you
- 28:04and us me haunts us. So you know, I think we were ready
- 28:10to let go and let God on her. And she did a great job.
- 28:11And I'm impressed with her. I think she's she's not necessarily like someone
- 28:18for reality television, but I do think she's pretty amazing. She's incredible and
- 28:25what a sophistication. You know, her food is sophisticated. She is the
- 28:30picture of sophistication and elegance. And yeah, and I do love that about
- 28:36her because it's almost like she's so cohesive with what she puts out there,
- 28:40you know what I mean. Yes, I think that boy, that fish
- 28:45challenge was so freaking hard, and you know, it was the calm before
- 28:52it was the storm, but not in a good way. I was gonna
- 28:56say it calm, but it was the storm, and now we need to
- 29:00get the rainbow. And I think that happens on every season with the regular
- 29:03Top Chef contestants, not all stars, but like these contestants, they have
- 29:08gotten so far and they're just like the next step is it. That's when
- 29:14they kind of all ship the bed, you know what I mean, and
- 29:15they have to put it out. I was really trying to understand it because
- 29:21I'm like they had which we'll talk about that incredible meeting with the chef from
- 29:29that you know, from Chef Morimoto, from Iron Chef from Iron Chef,
- 29:34and they all were It was like I was trying to understand psychologically what happened.
- 29:40So they had this sort of maybe they they it may have been too
- 29:45big of a meeting for them. Actually it's a great point. And then
- 29:49they were swimming with the humanity. I don't know whatever they are, you
- 29:57know, I don't know. Huge No, I was wrong. No,
- 30:03they were like sting rays, right, yeah, I believe they were sting
- 30:07rays. But I don't know. I mean, did we did we jotted
- 30:11down I don't know. I don't I'm so used to it is sting rays.
- 30:15I'm so used to every like reality show swimming with these sea creatures that
- 30:19I've now finally forgotten. But I can tell you it's definitely not a manatee,
- 30:25if you if I can't remember the comedian that says it, he's a
- 30:30huge comedian, but he calls a manatee like a sea cow anyway, whatever.
- 30:36No, they're actually called sea cows in real life, like that's their
- 30:40other name for them. And this comedian is like, why am I called
- 30:45a sea cow? That's so rude, you know. Anyway, Sorry,
- 30:49we digress, and we digress. But so there. Yeah, they went
- 30:52on this still gorgeous Kirasau karraseuh sting ray swim. Yeah yeah, And I'm
- 31:00like, did that you know? I know? Danny was like, wow,
- 31:03I have to kind of I've just been in the water and I'm relaxed
- 31:08in the sun. Now I have to kind of gear up. I was
- 31:11just like, I think their energy might have gone up and down too many
- 31:15times before this cook and they just I was trying to understand it because it
- 31:21was kind of a disaster. Oh my god. By the way, it's
- 31:25Jim Gaffigan that has the I mean, he's so funny and like, I
- 31:29love the sea cow joke. But anyway, it was such a shit show.
- 31:33Yeah, from beginning to end to even have like, well, I
- 31:38was a little confused that Tom would stop up in Dan's words, his like
- 31:45undercooked fish, that you would stop it all up and that, So that
- 31:49gives you no clue of how well you did, because now here Danny's walking
- 31:53away thinking, oh, he sopped it up, and then to come back
- 31:56and he's like, yeah, Danny says, or Dan says he hasn't cooked
- 32:00dorato in five years and he still hasn't. It was undercooked. I was
- 32:05like, oh, snap snap. Tom was snapping hard. He was red
- 32:12snapping hard. Okay, he when he said they like to say they're cooking
- 32:19scared, is the yes cooking snapsack Like he was just hitting them, you
- 32:28know, when he's not happy, and he wasn't. I I just you
- 32:32know, I'm so in Collegio's energy, you know, And really he was
- 32:40really looking around like, yeah, we invited y'all here, but I don't
- 32:44know why. I don't know why you're cooking scared? Uh, you're playing
- 32:47it safe on both courses, and you had two chores, you know,
- 32:51you had two tries, and everyone else was chiming in when we like pushed
- 32:57off with like, well, Savannah's first dish and one of the guests was
- 33:02like, I mean it's clunky. There's too many chunks. I was like,
- 33:07you don't want to hear anyone describe your dish with chunks. And then
- 33:14and then to go into Laura's dirty, murky, muddy scented banana leaf that
- 33:22was bitter, I was like, and this is where we are, like
- 33:25this is the final four tough Yeah, Yai, I don't know from a
- 33:34banana leaf. I didn't know that it could be that precarious. Quite frankly,
- 33:40like she acted like she really knew about banana leaves and how they're gonna
- 33:47help keep a moist fish together. But that banana leaf really, like,
- 33:57especially in the in the critique section, Kristin was like, I opened up
- 34:04the banana leaf, a smell hit my face that I could never recover.
- 34:10It's stuck in my nostril hair, Like, oh my god, whatever's going
- 34:15on with that banana leaf. It's not casual and you best know what you're
- 34:19doing with it. And I don't know. I just don't know what happened
- 34:23there. I mean she didn't clean it properly apparently, and certainly didn't steam
- 34:30it properly apparently, and it looked like it came out of my compost box.
- 34:37So and I'm not and I'm not a great composter, you know,
- 34:42Like that was beyond I'm making banana bread and I've been, you know,
- 34:45holding on to these bananas for six weeks, Like it was worse than that.
- 34:51It was bad and the sauce, the sauce was good, and I
- 34:55guess the fish was cooked well but not not good. And then her grouper
- 35:01was complete severely undercooked. And when I mean severely, you can't cut through
- 35:07it. Them talking about baking as opposed to roasting, because she's like,
- 35:12oh, I just baked it. I was like, I mean I can
- 35:14bake fish. You know what does that say? Yeah? So that was
- 35:20so so so hard. I was concerned about Savannah and when you do that
- 35:24when there's two little fish and too much bread? But why are we giving
- 35:30bread? She knew she needed to pivot because the bread was not working out,
- 35:36and it's like she needed the thing. That was also so crazy about
- 35:40this amy was that when they position when Christian, you know, when the
- 35:45host positioned what this challenge was going to be, it's going to be You're
- 35:52gonna get two different preparations, six fish dishes. The chefs all looked very
- 35:59excited in a way that I haven't seen them be that exciting. Yes,
- 36:04Dan was like whoa okay. He practically almost took his glasses off, you
- 36:07know, he was like raw steamed moves, poach what And then for him
- 36:13to just latch on the black end. I was like, this is life.
- 36:16Yes, it's it's the most pumped they were. I was like,
- 36:22Oh, they love this, this is their jam, and that's why I
- 36:27have to look at them meeting the you know Ironrimoto, Yes, you know
- 36:32it just like I don't know, we just went we went high high high,
- 36:38whoa hot like it just I don't know. They fell apart really and
- 36:45truly it was too part of me thinks it was too broad, and I
- 36:50think Savannah is the one that said it, and we've said this before.
- 36:53When you're given too much leeway with a challenge, whether it be on Project
- 37:00Runway or Top Chef, you get lost. Because creative people do well with
- 37:07a structure. If you put them in a structure, then they can kind
- 37:10of like push the boundaries of that structure. But if you like are just
- 37:15like the world is your oyster, they're like it's too much, you know,
- 37:17because they can't. It's just so many ideas going on. And that's
- 37:22why, like when Savannah was like, oh, I was gonna do this,
- 37:23but then I ended up doing that. I did pure the ginger,
- 37:27but then I threw some extra in there. You know, she started to
- 37:30second guess herself. That moose seemed like, I mean, such a huge
- 37:36hashtag fail. I can't believe that Danny even made it like above the rest
- 37:42to be one of the first picks to go into the next round, because
- 37:45that moose seemed like such a train wreck. That his second dish must have
- 37:50been so good in comparison, you know, obviously, but a moose is
- 37:54so tricky. That was garbage. That was garbage. So who wants a
- 38:00fish moose? I mean, I was expecting Patay was moose? What was
- 38:07the what was his he delivering on for that? Not moose? Right?
- 38:15He did see deuce sea moose, fine fine herb, salad, scotch,
- 38:24bonnet and green garlic spheres. They love those spheres. That that's what saved
- 38:30that dish. Don't know what a goddamn sphere is, but like they loved
- 38:35it. I couldn't make heads or tails of it. I can't figure out.
- 38:40Okay, great because I was like, they love a sphere, garlic
- 38:44spheres, Scotch bonnet and green you know what. I've got spheres on my
- 38:50face because I meant to look up scotch bonnet and I didn't. So we're
- 38:54all going to do it right now. And I love the people who are
- 38:58yelling right now at me telling me what they are. Great. Wow,
- 39:04it's a pepper. It's a pepper. It's it's it's almost as hot as
- 39:07I have an arrow. My lord, I didn't expect that, Okay,
- 39:12never never would have expected that. But Amy, I'm seeing, I'm I
- 39:16but the moose, I am seeing that. One of the the brief did
- 39:22say specifically a moose a steam. Yeah it did. It did say okay,
- 39:28so he had okay, oh, oh, I see what you're saying.
- 39:31But see so when they gave you when they said, do uh do
- 39:35a moose steamed with separate raw then steamed? Then oh yeah, yeah,
- 39:39when poached, fried, roasted, smoke blackened moose. I've never heard of
- 39:46as a fish moose. I was expecting a pat. I honestly don't know
- 39:51how you can make a fish moose and make it good. I'll just say
- 39:54that, and I'm going to just step aside. You said what you said,
- 39:59and you said it quite plainly, quite plainly. I've heard it.
- 40:07You know that. Oh by the way, the the what you mna call
- 40:14it, the quickfire with that lion fish was insane, insane, Like I
- 40:22have you had Agua Chile? No? Have you? I haven't, But
- 40:29the amount of Agua Chile in this season, I think it's trendy. It
- 40:37must it's got to be trending, trending hard because almost every episode someone's with
- 40:45the Agua Chile. You're right, and it's a Mexican dish made of shrimp
- 40:51and raw fish filet submerged in liquid, seasoned with uh, chili, pin
- 40:59peppers, lime juice, salt, slices of cucumber, and slices of red
- 41:02onion. It's almost it sounds like a savich, yeah, but in a
- 41:08liquid. So but yeah, it is so trendy right now. Hmm.
- 41:15I'm looking at the other one. I was curious. I'm like, I've
- 41:19never seen it on a menu, but I'm sure I will. I really
- 41:23thought Laura's Grouper with the pepper glaze and the the emulsion and the pineapple broth
- 41:34was gonna be gorgeous and yummy, and that was so disappointing to find out
- 41:38that it was a real flop. I mean, that was a real disappointment.
- 41:44It just looked like it was going in the right direction. But you
- 41:46just never know. You don't sometimes, you know. The most amazing thing
- 41:52about these shows is that we do not get to taste the food, oh
- 41:59man, but we can feel like we have mm hmm. So here's a
- 42:06picture if you're watching of Laura's that looks really good to me. Okay,
- 42:10me too, turned out to be awful. This is a picture of Danny's.
- 42:15This is his smoked rainbow trout, plantain and pumpkin puree hazel that lemon
- 42:20relish. That kind of sounds disgusting and it looks pretty gross. In fact,
- 42:25I don't know what I would do with that. Maybe there, but
- 42:29they raved about it. And on top of that, I would not want
- 42:32to do a black and fish. I understand why black and black and stuff
- 42:37went out of trend because so many people did it poorly, which one of
- 42:39the chefs pointed out, I know people do still like to do it.
- 42:45I do not. I've never liked blackened. I just don't like charred or
- 42:50blackened because it just it's too bitter for me and too dry. But I
- 42:53did appreciate, which is what they pointed out, that he did cover it
- 42:58in this pure because then it became more moist, and I thought maybe I
- 43:02could get behind that and so but underneath this foam, I mean, it
- 43:07just looks disgusting, so unbelievable that it was such a hit. Oh wait,
- 43:12you know what I'm I'm so sorry I was showing you. That was
- 43:15Danny's. That was Danny's smoke thing. But they still love that. They
- 43:19love that. Yes, Dan's black and coarse, here's what it kind of
- 43:23looks like, free does. Yeah, so I'm saying Danny's look disgusting,
- 43:30but they loved it, and so wow, I'm impressed. And Dan's black
- 43:34and one they loved it too. And the mandarin butter sauce and dil they
- 43:39loved that too. Gail was like, why skimping on the Mandarins, and
- 43:44I don't know what he said about do you know how hard it is to
- 43:46do something to Mandarins? And I don't know what that meant. But wait,
- 43:52that's real shop talk, this real shop talk. So well, anyway,
- 44:00we obviously know that Danny was the winner. They loved the spheres,
- 44:05they loved his his everything. And Dan makes it to the finale and so
- 44:13does Savannah and Lara goes home and I'm okay with the way things settled in
- 44:19really bummed that Michelle went home on that table challenge and can we talk about
- 44:24that real quick? The table challenge that was a mess though. She was
- 44:30like, here's an eight foot table, I'm gonna use six inches of it.
- 44:35That was just dumbfound. I was dumbfounded. And the judges were like,
- 44:38hello, man, that was tough. Michelle was a star personality plus
- 44:46made a lot of good dishes and made a lot of mistakes. So I
- 44:52mean, I'm still mourning Rosska Oh Rossica, yes, Ra Rossica, Yeah,
- 45:00I loved her. She was a star. She was killing it.
- 45:05But then you know, it's we have to release them, why they've gone.
- 45:10And she's great for TV too, And let's also acknowledge that she's like
- 45:15only twenty six. I want to say, she's so young. So I
- 45:19do feel like we'll see her again in some doubt area of Top Cheft.
- 45:24When they were announcing the winners, I'm sorry the contestants that move on to
- 45:29the next round, and Kristen was like, as, it's fantastic, and
- 45:35then this finale is fantastic and you're going to remember this forever, and she
- 45:38got choked up, and I just loved seeing her passion for it. To
- 45:43have her be reminded in such a humble way of what this meant to her.
- 45:47What it means to her just assures me that she's such the right person
- 45:52for this job because she has kept her vulnerability, she's kept her passion and
- 45:58her humility, and that means so much to a viewer. And I think
- 46:02to those chefs, she's so incredibly relatable. Totally agree. And they needed
- 46:08it because it was such a disaster, quite frankly, the meal and they
- 46:15all kind of had their tails between their legs and were not even celebrating that
- 46:20they were making it to the finale, which is not what you want from
- 46:24here. So they really needed it and it did completely change their energy around
- 46:32and I was tearing up. It was amazing and so incredible. Yeah,
- 46:37she's great, and it was the perfect pep talk because she was like,
- 46:40you know, you guys did it like that challenge is behind you. Put
- 46:45it behind you, and that's what you need to do. And I think
- 46:47having them all pretty much mess up in some way is what is going to
- 46:52set the stage for so much success because they've now gotten out of their system,
- 46:59their nerves in their food and they shook it, shook it like you
- 47:02know, they had horrible dress rehearsal, you know, and that makes for
- 47:06a great show. So it's very excited. It does it does it does?
- 47:10Thank you? Thank you for that. Oh so excited. Well shall
- 47:15we move on to let's make our way over to Love Island. Come on,
- 47:22let's go, let's do this. Wow, Fiji, what an island,
- 47:27you know. Just to see those overhead shots of like just this island.
- 47:31I mean, it's truly remarkable what they've done. And I have not
- 47:37yet been much of a Love Island person in the past, so this certainly
- 47:42was an eye opener for me on many levels. I did watch. I've
- 47:45watched like an episode or two in the past, but yeah, I really
- 47:51had to get reacquainted. Now there was two there were two episodes on I
- 47:55made it through both, Deanna. I think there may have been a couple
- 48:00missing pieces that you may have missed from the second episode, but rest assured.
- 48:04I will keep you up to speed, and I think you probably got
- 48:07all the flavors that you needed. I think so. But I do have
- 48:12to like talk about Ariana at first, because I think she's doing a phenomenal
- 48:15job as the host. What do you think, Dana, I think she
- 48:20looks. To say she looks stunning is honestly an understatement. Like when she
- 48:24came out in that gold dress, I gasped, I know, amazing,
- 48:31wow, wow, wow wow, you know wow, she looks goddess esque.
- 48:39Now I love her as the host. What I am finding is that
- 48:46when she has to speak the written words to kind of you know, whatever's
- 48:52on the queue card, I have to imagine we're getting a little robotic delivery.
- 49:00It's not, you know, like I have to go back mentally to
- 49:05Nicky Glazer, Nikki Glazer, who did she didn't do Love Island? Yeah?
- 49:12She did? Like Boy Island, Like, isn't it Slutboy Island?
- 49:16Oh? God, I mean, you cannot compare to Nicky Glazer. I
- 49:22know it's not fair. It's not fair to anyone, but I know exactly
- 49:28what you're saying. It's just a you know, I need her to throw
- 49:31it away a little bit, because when she's just talking to everyone and she's
- 49:37just asking questions, it's she's doing great. I'm just so very stilted with
- 49:44the delivery on like Rob and Jenna, you are now a couple, like,
- 49:51come on, Ariana, let it. Let let's loosen up. Which
- 49:53she may as as time goes on, she might, she might not.
- 50:00I think I don't think she will. And here's why I think, like,
- 50:07on some level it won't bother me as much. I did have to
- 50:09work through this in my head as well as watching it too, Deanna.
- 50:13So I was like, Okay, here's this gal, and we all know
- 50:16the hystory and now she got this incredible opportunity, and so this is going
- 50:20through my head this entire time, and so on and so forth. So
- 50:23Love Island does have a revolving door of hosts, you know, and in
- 50:30many ways they go with the trend, they go with what's sort of popular
- 50:34and what can get viewership, not necessarily who's going to be the best talent
- 50:40on camera. No problem with that, no problem. So so that being
- 50:46said, I took all that into account and I said, yes, she's
- 50:51the right person for this job right now. This time will end and we're
- 50:55going to move on to somebody else. But in the meantime, she's perfect
- 51:00for this because, for example, when she came on and she was talking
- 51:06with the ladies and Arianna said, you know, ladies, I have your
- 51:10back, and then Leah's like, girl, we have your back. It's
- 51:15like they all know the story about Arianna, so they feel comfortable with her.
- 51:22They are championing, championing her. She's somebody that they have looked up
- 51:27to that has been through something hard and they're going through something hard. So
- 51:31the relatability factor I think for the contestants with Arianna is a perfect fit.
- 51:37Anything outside of that and seeing her shine from like being where she was,
- 51:44knowing that she's gone now from Broadway into this position and she can like do
- 51:49the dances. I mean the intro I'm not familiar. I don't remember these
- 51:54intros like that came here for love song like of her, everyone's mouthing it
- 52:00and doing their own little music video was incredible, incredible. I loved it.
- 52:07I was just like, what am I watching? And these people they're
- 52:10just so pretty, you know, for life, Like it's just okay,
- 52:15we're gonna watch pretty people sing this in this music video and these slow motion
- 52:21shots and that's where things are gonna clap. Who you know that it is
- 52:27something you're gonna see. They're gonna drop it like it's hot. They're going
- 52:34to swing it around and crank it out. Yeah, it's really truly unhinged.
- 52:39I mean when they're like, I'm twenty four, I'm a medical analyst
- 52:44salesperson. I'm like, and you can move like that, you look look
- 52:50at I'm like when I was twenty four, I don't know. I was
- 52:53like not, I don't think I knew how to do any of that.
- 52:58You know what I'm saying. I'm just so beyond and blown away by this
- 53:00generation of people that are so comfortable with just twirking it and letting it out
- 53:08for the people. It's amazing. And this is just anybody from Texas,
- 53:13because apparently everyone's from Texas. But yeah, they were definitely like I think
- 53:21you know, if you're you know, marching yourself over to Love Island.
- 53:23You are you know it what you need to deliver on and it's you know,
- 53:31you gotta throw your ass in a bikini and quirk around and the initial
- 53:37challenge you are going to have your tongue down someone's throat. So these are
- 53:42things that aren't for everyone, you know, and it's amazing, like how
- 53:49natural this comes to people? Oh? Does it ever? Does it ever?
- 53:54Apparently we have some recurring people that, like, there are some people
- 54:00that we've seen before. One person who was on the Traders UK that's Aaron
- 54:06Correct, Yes, and he won and then gave all the money to his
- 54:09mom or he just made a lot of money on that and gave gave money
- 54:13to his mom. Well, I think he did give the money to his
- 54:15mom. He went he It was crazy because when I saw him, I'm
- 54:22like, wait, I know this guy. How do I know? You
- 54:24know? I was going through that like wait, I know him from somewhere,
- 54:28And then I had I was like, oh, my God's guide for
- 54:29traders. You know, I binged all the traders so hard, as you
- 54:34recall, I was in UK Gosh, I was just binging them. So
- 54:37it all kind of blended into one trader for me, but he was he
- 54:45was very emotional on the season. Oh interesting, and yeah, he had
- 54:51a very interesting season. But he's kind of a sweetheart and he he's he's
- 55:00a perfect guy to have on this show because I feel I feel great about
- 55:05him, you know, and so it's great to see him and yeah,
- 55:09like good happy. And then we had another person that came back, Rob
- 55:19from another season. He didn't find love there and so now he's back.
- 55:24Yes, and I think he may be my favorite so far. I was
- 55:30going to say the same thing. I can't believe this. Wow, okay,
- 55:36real quick. The voiceover comedian guy. Yeah, you know, at
- 55:40first, very jarring and the shower, but some pretty good bits. I'm
- 55:45not gonna lie, some pretty good bits and that's okay, and I'm okay
- 55:50with it. We need him, you know, we do actually need him
- 55:53to take us through this journey. Yeah, Arianna's looking gorgeous, and I
- 56:02think that she's just really there to set the tone and then like leaves say,
- 56:07and then so then when those new guys came in out of nowhere,
- 56:13and she's like, no one should be alone on Love Island except unless two
- 56:22new guys show up. And then they do this slow mow and she does
- 56:27like the high tens and then she walks through them and she just looks so
- 56:30banging in that cute little like sixties outfit. Amazing. I think it's all
- 56:36about looks and just delivering. This is the thing again, I have to
- 56:38go back to Ariana. That is interesting to me about like the entertainment business.
- 56:43She's doing a job that any host could do. Sure, what makes
- 56:47her stand apart is her background and that people are rooting for her, her
- 56:53relatability, her notoriety, and that's the stamp that she's putting on it.
- 57:00If you were to compare her to other Love Island hosts, which I don't
- 57:04know of which who they are, they're going to all bring something different to
- 57:07the table. But her twist is like always going to be the you know,
- 57:13I get it, you want to go for someone who you can trust,
- 57:16wink, you know that type of thing, like I've been through it.
- 57:20So for that reason, amazing. She's stepping into that host role and
- 57:24she's doing it in a way that any host would do it. And I
- 57:30don't agree. Okay, no, no, no, I no, no,
- 57:36Here's what I would say. Okay, I think she has delivered hard
- 57:42since the scandal and what's you know everything, She's all these opportunities, she
- 57:50dancing with the stars, Oh my god, incredible. From everything I hear,
- 57:55her Broadway performance is honestly amazing, and she's killing it. I would
- 58:01have liked to have coached her on this one, because yes, looks wise.
- 58:07Does it make sense to have her on? Is she the moment?
- 58:10Yes, yes, yes she's the moment. Yeah. I am feeling like
- 58:17she needs a little coaching, you know, And I would have loved to
- 58:22get my hands on her and just sort of shake her a little bit because
- 58:27she's stiff. So that's it, extremely stiff. No, I agree,
- 58:30And back to what I was saying, I should imply I imply this,
- 58:35but I didn't stress it. Hosts are stiff. Like, if you're just
- 58:40looking for a host, they're not going to be They're not going to put
- 58:44any spice on it. But if you're looking at like a personality and someone
- 58:47who is like a comedian or an actor, not a host, a comedian
- 58:54or an actor ederteiner who has that charisma, they're gonna it. I wonder,
- 59:01And what you're saying goes along with like my questions for behind the scenes.
- 59:06This had to have happened super fast quick. Yeah, there's probably a
- 59:10million production things that where she has to hit her mark. She's probably spending
- 59:15more time in wardrobe and fittings than she is anything else, and they're probably
- 59:22writing her stuff on the fly. I wonder if she has an ear piece
- 59:24in and she's having to repeat, or if there is a tele prompter.
- 59:29Either either way, she's probably getting like last minute lines and she's having to
- 59:35read them right there like cold reads. That's what I'm getting. However,
- 59:40look alive. Just let's loosen up a little bit, let's sake, said,
- 59:47I one agree with you? So. Uh. You mentioned Rob was
- 59:53your favorite. He's my favorite too. He's the one I'm most attracted to.
- 59:57Do you have a favorite gal? The gals are so much fun.
- 1:00:02They really are a great group of gals. Yeah, do I have a
- 1:00:08favorite? That's such a good question. I mean, they honestly are are
- 1:00:13really fun and charming and adorable. So, I mean, I don't know.
- 1:00:21I I gosh, Joanna, I was gonna say, Janay is my
- 1:00:25favorite. I really really really really want Janay and Cordel to work out.
- 1:00:32They just seem so perfect together, you know, They're like the fact that
- 1:00:39no Coy Coy. I'm sorry, these names they're so crazy. They're like,
- 1:00:46oh, I'm sorry, Jane boy, I'm talking. I'm sorry.
- 1:00:50I'm sorry. Serena might be my favorite. You like Jane, who's a
- 1:00:53coy Serena and Cordel. I like Serena. I really want to work out.
- 1:01:00Like the fact that they were wearing the same colors. They're both from
- 1:01:05Houston, they both have had like five years, they both got out five
- 1:01:07year relationships. They're like freaking out that they have too many similarities, and
- 1:01:12I'm thinking, is it too many? You know, is it too many?
- 1:01:15Or are they like literally made for each other. I don't know.
- 1:01:17Well, the interesting thing is that he is Odell Beckham Junior's brother, and
- 1:01:23he hasn't revealed that to the Oh, so they don't know yet. I
- 1:01:30don't believe they know that, which I think is good. It's great.
- 1:01:36Yees. So I think she likes him, and I think she vibes with
- 1:01:39him as a person, but I don't know that she's hot for him.
- 1:01:44Yeah, I mean the fact that Toy got three gals up on his little
- 1:01:49pedestale good coy is I mean? I feel like they're objectifying him alone.
- 1:01:54All of it too much is making me like a tiny bit uncomfortable. And
- 1:01:59I know this is Love Island, but I'm like, we're really in his
- 1:02:06sneaker size and he's like, I'm just like, okay, yeah, but
- 1:02:10he's a gorgeous man. I mean, no problem there, you know.
- 1:02:16Uh. And I like him. I do. I like him, you
- 1:02:21know, I do enjoy these guys so far. And the girls it's a
- 1:02:27like it's a fun group. I mean, the one that's Hannah is a
- 1:02:30disaster area. Oh my god, she makes me laugh. I mean the
- 1:02:34talking with your mouth full, the and then please share with us what stood
- 1:02:39out to you about her. Okay, so you're gonna see. And it
- 1:02:45has kind of changed hues over the two episodes, but she has a an
- 1:02:53amount of bass foundation on her face that is not meant for anyone. It's
- 1:03:04also certainly not meant for the outdoors in the baking sun. Right that's active
- 1:03:08where no like she needed like a BB cream and like just some spot concealer.
- 1:03:17But she is. You have to do a lot of making out on
- 1:03:21the show. And we see immediately when she sucks face with Koi, she
- 1:03:29leaves her foundation. She will leave a foundation mark the likes of which they
- 1:03:37have the size of Texas. The size of Texas. It is milky cream.
- 1:03:44Foundation is left off, disgusting, vile. It's disgusting. And we
- 1:03:51do get to see her like the next morning applying it and you're like,
- 1:03:54oh my god, we have so much like contour and oh lord, have
- 1:04:00mercy. No, it's just wild. So she did that to Coy and
- 1:04:09then she also did that later to Kendle because they got matched up together and
- 1:04:15that was it almost happened with someone else, but she was like, I
- 1:04:19don't want to get makeup on you. All. Yeah, I'm gonna thank
- 1:04:24god gee, but I'm like, you can't just stop a kiss from happening
- 1:04:29because of your makeup. You need to fix the makeup so that you cannot
- 1:04:31stop a kiss. You know, you can't just work on that later.
- 1:04:35I know this is going to be her work. You know, this will
- 1:04:40be her work as as she moves forward in life. Is to like take
- 1:04:45it down a notch. The games that they play, the Ice Breakers,
- 1:04:48where it was like kiss the person that you're intimidated by, the one with
- 1:04:51the green flags, the one with the red flags, the player, the
- 1:04:54heartbreaker. It's just so I mean, it's very Bachelor. We've seen that's
- 1:05:00on The Bachelor, but this is really one after the other after the other,
- 1:05:02and it's just like you, I'm sorry, Like I am not,
- 1:05:05I couldn't do it. I'm like, no, right after you kiss somebody,
- 1:05:11I don't know, I'm gonna need a little palate cleanser. Yeah.
- 1:05:15Can we get a Sherbert? Can some Can somebody bring out a lemon Sherbert
- 1:05:18so I can just thet one, blend something to some a banaka blast something,
- 1:05:26rotten banana, peel, anything, just some of the fish from the
- 1:05:30top chef fish moose I can have in between in between makeouts. Oh my
- 1:05:41god. So we've got these pairs that have really kind of locked in because
- 1:05:46we've got Janey and Coy they're holding firm. We have Kaylor which that name
- 1:05:54is killing me and Aaron. We have Leah and Rob who have been split
- 1:06:03up by Incoming Live. We have Serena and Cordel and Hannah and Kendall.
- 1:06:10So Live comes in and left forgot to pack fun, smiles and passion and
- 1:06:20charisma and personality. She left those all behind. But I like the fact
- 1:06:27that she's so different from everybody. However, everything is I feel like I'm
- 1:06:33on an interview with you know, I guess we're on a business interview.
- 1:06:39I mean, she's got she's not fun at all. I don't know how
- 1:06:42she's there aside from being gorgeous. What are we doing here? She couldn't
- 1:06:46connect with a seashell. She's gonna be single. She's gotta go. She's
- 1:06:57got to go as fast as she came. Wow. I mean I'm wow,
- 1:07:01wowow. Sorry, this is a takedown. This is a real,
- 1:07:05live takedown. I've seen her interact with enough people to know that no one's
- 1:07:11going to bring that out of her because it's not there. I mean,
- 1:07:15am I was not expecting this? This is I like that her voice is
- 1:07:21lower, you know, and a little bit more chill. Everyone is just
- 1:07:27off the charts with their energy, and it's a lot to take in.
- 1:07:30So I do love that she infused some grounding with us, But you need
- 1:07:35to also pipe up. Well, am I dead wrong? Tell me what's
- 1:07:40up? No, you're right. I do think that she's lived a life.
- 1:07:45I did have that thought. Actually, It's like, especially when she
- 1:07:48was with Rob, because Rob likes Leah and Leah's quirky. Yeah, and
- 1:07:55Leah's you know, she's she got a little quirky book. Even like there's
- 1:08:00just she's just off this off center and this live has marched through life,
- 1:08:11never being rejected, no never. You know, she thought, whoever she
- 1:08:16chose was gonna throw a little ticker tape parade. But unfortunately Rob has been
- 1:08:25here, done that on Love Island, and he really knows what he knows
- 1:08:30when something special, and he just wants nothing to do with the girl,
- 1:08:36which honestly is going to be character building for her. She needed it.
- 1:08:42I like that she was checked. You're right, m And I think her
- 1:08:46reasonings for picking him was, I mean, he was it was like the
- 1:08:51guy that you can't get. She finally found someone that wasn't gonna, like
- 1:08:56you said, throw a ticker tape parade for her because he wasn't giving her
- 1:08:59that vibe when they even talked during the interview, because that's what it felt
- 1:09:02like. It was just it was so sterile. But I do like that
- 1:09:10Rob is kind of like making avocado toast for the two ladies, and that
- 1:09:15he's also playing the game. He is saying, I don't want to not
- 1:09:18give you a chance because this is how I felt last time, and that
- 1:09:23person didn't give me a chance. So I want to give you a chance.
- 1:09:26So it is kind of funny that she's being served up, you know,
- 1:09:29some humble pie. I mean, he might as well have served that
- 1:09:31to her instead of avocado toast. It's so true, like watching her receive
- 1:09:36that was fun because she's never He's basically like I am listen, listen,
- 1:09:45live listen. First of all, she's only five to seven. I thought
- 1:09:48she was six feet tald the way they kept talking about how tall she was.
- 1:09:51I'm so like, I'm five to seven. I didn't realize I was
- 1:09:57such a giant. I know. I'm like, okay, we're both I'm
- 1:10:00five seven and a half. I didn't know it was going to move the
- 1:10:03needle. I'm sorry, I didn't know put me in line, put me,
- 1:10:08bump me over to koy at this point exactly, so the way that
- 1:10:15he said to her, essentially, which is what you just that of just
- 1:10:17reiterating it, basically just like, I'm this is a make a wish moment,
- 1:10:26and you are you are special and I am going to give you this
- 1:10:30time because you know, yeah, it just she's never been treated like that
- 1:10:38in her life, and she just I will say, she just sat there
- 1:10:41and received it. I mean, I think she was so confused. She
- 1:10:45was confused, you know, like I guess he doesn't. He has to
- 1:10:49really work through giving me the time of day, right now, Yeah,
- 1:10:55like that's new. And then then they're trying to find some common ground.
- 1:11:00None couldn't and that just even going down to music and she's like, oh,
- 1:11:06Ed Cheran, he's like overrated, and she's like what and it's like,
- 1:11:11I mean he is, but like whatever, Ed Sharon caught a stray
- 1:11:16on this one. For sure, I'm happy. I'm fine with that,
- 1:11:18you know, great, great, And again another reason why I like Rob.
- 1:11:23He's not basic. Apparently he's a snake wrangler apparently, and so that
- 1:11:30means he catches snakes, but he's more like a reptile, preventive reptile.
- 1:11:35But I don't know what he does, but I like, I'm taking it
- 1:11:40in because I couldn't tell you what that job entails, except for he said,
- 1:11:45like everyone's house has a snake in it? Like was that a joke?
- 1:11:48I got scared? Oh that's weird. I don't know. But the
- 1:11:53fact that she confused insects like snakes were insects is what is the most concerning
- 1:12:00takeaway, and that's not forgivable. So anyway, what else? Okay,
- 1:12:12So then we get these other two guys in here, and h oh gosh,
- 1:12:18let's see Yeah, okay, so two new guys. Connor comes in
- 1:12:26and he I did think it was hilarious that the other guys were making fun
- 1:12:29of him for walking like the terminator, like he was very funny. And
- 1:12:34he kind of snatches up Kaylor and every time you say it, it's so
- 1:12:43absurd, it really is Kaylor. Connor kisses Kaylor. But Kaylor's heart is
- 1:12:51really with back with Aaron, which is really really nice. But but Connor
- 1:12:58seems like marriage mater material for Kayler, so she likes that, but she
- 1:13:01usually goes for like the immature boy thing, so she's kind of caught between
- 1:13:06a rock and a hard place. But I did feel like she did connect
- 1:13:09with Kate with Connor, and she's having a connection with Aaron, which is
- 1:13:13really nice. Hakeem that came in. He's got a great personality. I
- 1:13:17really like him, love that he wears socks to bed. He connected with
- 1:13:21someone about that can't remember who I was it Hannah, Oh my god,
- 1:13:29Oh she's so funny. She is a rip. She is a disaster area,
- 1:13:33like caution tape, big time and the red Flags, which she hasn't
- 1:13:38had like a serious relationship. And he was like, oh boy, that's
- 1:13:41a no, which makes sense because she doesn't know that her foundation rubs off
- 1:13:45on men, so that does check out. I did like that Live pulled
- 1:13:53aside Kendall and they decided that they don't like veneers. I think we can
- 1:13:56all, you know, understand that they I mean, look, God blessed
- 1:14:00that they have perfect teeth. But not everybody's gonna have it. But I'm
- 1:14:02glad they found some common ground. At least they have some common ground.
- 1:14:09And now Leah is single and she goes to bed single and her reaction to
- 1:14:15Live stealing her man was like, ah, I hope you guys have fun.
- 1:14:18I hope it works out. Was very sad. But she seems content
- 1:14:28with like being scooped up by these new guys and like getting attention from them,
- 1:14:31which is very very cute and cool. And the guy seem intimidated by
- 1:14:36the new guys, which is always fun. And for them to be checked,
- 1:14:41what did you think, did you happen to see Cordell talking about how
- 1:14:45he wants to be an actor and he does a bit of a monologue to
- 1:14:50I did, okay, well, that's not good for him with the gal
- 1:14:58that he is with, Serena, because she did not like that, and
- 1:15:01she shut him down right away in the middle of his monologue. And I
- 1:15:03didn't like that. Give him the time. Yeah, please, you asked
- 1:15:08for some lines. Yeah, he's delivering them, and you're running around and
- 1:15:12spinning, running away and laughing as hard as you possibly could, humiliating.
- 1:15:18He handled it well, he did, because I also was like, he
- 1:15:23loves to laugh, he loves all things funny. But that monologue did seem
- 1:15:26serious, and it did seem like he was doing it. I couldn't tell
- 1:15:29if he was doing it as a joke or if it was serious. So
- 1:15:32I think he crunched the numbers and he said, I've just been asked what
- 1:15:39my passion is. I said acting. There are may be a few agents
- 1:15:43watching, and I'm gonna go ahead and deliver some lines. And he didn't
- 1:15:47do it very well. If maybe she did him a favor, you know,
- 1:15:53I didn't think it was terror I honestly was like, all right,
- 1:15:58I mean he knew the words, give him that, but he can't be
- 1:16:00a dramatic actor, that's for sure. Well you wouldn't think, but I'm
- 1:16:06leaving it open for him. I really am. Oh my god, Amy
- 1:16:12okay okay, No. I jotted this down and this was maybe my favorite
- 1:16:16thing in this series thus far. Whoa what? Okay? Okay? So
- 1:16:23we like Rob and with and we like him with Leah. When they first
- 1:16:29had their first conversation, and you have to imagine they're on television, it's
- 1:16:36overwhelming. They're liking each other. There's so much they've chosen each other.
- 1:16:42And they were passing their one brain cell back and forth, so they were
- 1:16:48trying to ask each other questions and then one would answer and the other one
- 1:16:53be like, no, I need the brain cell and like pass it,
- 1:16:56and that shit killed me. That was pretty funny actually, because that's and
- 1:17:04that's why they're a cute match. And that's why I Live can't compete because
- 1:17:10she doesn't know that that she would not know that that's funny because she doesn't
- 1:17:13know what she doesn't know what fun is and doesn't know how to have fun.
- 1:17:16Right, She's she should be hosting the show. She could poor.
- 1:17:26We ps so happy for Ariana, truly, truly, it's amazing. This
- 1:17:31is like so many things are working, absolutely absolutely, these are just like
- 1:17:38so many things are working. There's just one area that needs attention, you
- 1:17:43know, and and slash a needs attention. That's it on the report card.
- 1:17:47Something else a rob. Wait, who's the guy that's a deckhand on
- 1:17:55a super yard. Oh yeah, that's wild to me that he like has
- 1:17:59all of these reality TV you know, crossover things. It's like, I
- 1:18:02wonder if he ever auditioned to get on Below Deck met or regular below Deck
- 1:18:06or who knows what, because the fact that he's a deckhand on a supriat
- 1:18:12is wild to me. And he's been on Traders, so this guy has
- 1:18:14had quite the reality career. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he was
- 1:18:18considered for Below Deck and was supposed to be on the season and then it
- 1:18:21got pulled away for Traders or something. Oh wow, Well he can march
- 1:18:27hisself right on over there. Please then, do please do do so.
- 1:18:32Well, we'll leave it there. It'll be fun. I don't know how
- 1:18:35often this is on, so we'll just keep tuning in. They had two
- 1:18:41episodes up at the start. We'll see how they do, like how often
