- 0:00Speaker 1: It's more of Mark the Mark Simon Show on WR.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey, some very bad news. This Sunday is the end
- 0:12Speaker 2: of daylight saving time. You go back to standard time.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Sunday actually Saturday night, like two in the morning. That
- 0:20Speaker 2: means Sunday it'll be dark out like at five point fifteen,
- 0:23Speaker 2: five point thirty. This is bad. This is bad. We
- 0:27Speaker 2: gotta we gotta get rid of this standard time. Just
- 0:29Speaker 2: switch it the daylight saving time. You know, it's already
- 0:31Speaker 2: getting dark, like at six fifteen, it's starting to get
- 0:34Speaker 2: dark five point fifteen. That's not gonna be good. That's
- 0:38Speaker 2: this Sunday. So remember Saturday night. You you lose an
- 0:42Speaker 2: hour again and hour you fall, but behind you lose
- 0:45Speaker 2: an hour. You're gonna lose an hour of sleep Sunday night. Hey. Also,
- 0:49Speaker 2: this Sunday is the marathon. The New York City Marathon
- 0:52Speaker 2: is this Sunday. That's how you know it's really well
- 0:54Speaker 2: into the fall when you see the marathon. That's this Sunday.
- 0:58Speaker 2: So if you're planning to come into New York City,
- 1:00Speaker 2: you just remember traffic nightmare all over the place because
- 1:04Speaker 2: of the marathon. It's for you know, all obviously the morning,
- 1:09Speaker 2: but it goes well into the afternoon, so you might
- 1:11Speaker 2: own to be driving around New York City on Sunday. Also,
- 1:17Speaker 2: if you're not convinced summer is over and we're really, really,
- 1:21Speaker 2: really into the fall. The Woolman Rink opened yesterday. The
- 1:25Speaker 2: Woman's Skating Rink opened yesterday. So you got the woman Rink.
- 1:30Speaker 2: I was at Bryant Park. I walked through their Wednesday.
- 1:33Speaker 2: They were building the rink. They weren't finished yet, but
- 1:35Speaker 2: the woman Rink is open in Central Park. That was
- 1:40Speaker 2: the first construction project where Donald Trump took over from
- 1:45Speaker 2: the government and did his own construction. Remember the Woman's
- 1:49Speaker 2: skating rink. The city had been trying to rebuild it
- 1:52Speaker 2: for ten years, ten years, and they were only halfway through,
- 1:57Speaker 2: and they were up to twenty five million, and Trump
- 2:00Speaker 2: went public and started yelling and screaming at Ed Kotch
- 2:03Speaker 2: in the city said, it's a slab of concrete, it's
- 2:06Speaker 2: an ice skating rink. It doesn't take ten years to build,
- 2:10Speaker 2: doesn't cost twenty five million. Well, he really went after
- 2:14Speaker 2: Cotch and they became lifelong enemies. But finally Kotch called
- 2:19Speaker 2: his bluff and Trump said, I'll build the rink in
- 2:21Speaker 2: six weeks. I'll pay for it. It'll cost nothing. And Trump,
- 2:26Speaker 2: you know, really got under Coatch's skin. Kotch called his bluff,
- 2:30Speaker 2: and sure enough Trump did it. Turned out, the city
- 2:34Speaker 2: trying to build an ice skating they had no idea
- 2:36Speaker 2: how you build an ice skating rink. So they first
- 2:38Speaker 2: brought in a company from Miami that did air conditioning.
- 2:42Speaker 2: And the reason it took ten years. Everything they did
- 2:45Speaker 2: went wrong and they had to tear it up, start over,
- 2:47Speaker 2: tear it up, start over. They were using the wrong
- 2:49Speaker 2: kind of pipes, the wrong this, the wrong. This. This
- 2:53Speaker 2: is government. That's how government works. Trump, common sense, business guy.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Think about how simple this was. Trump loves to go
- 3:03Speaker 2: to Madison Square Garden. He loves to watch basketball hockey.
- 3:06Speaker 2: And he noticed that you could go to Madison Square
- 3:09Speaker 2: Garden and they had a basketball court, and then you
- 3:12Speaker 2: could go two days later and they had a skating rink,
- 3:15Speaker 2: a world class hockey rink. So he called up Madison
- 3:19Speaker 2: Square Garden. It's pretty simple. How do you build a
- 3:21Speaker 2: rink like that? How do you do it so fast?
- 3:24Speaker 2: And they said, there's rink guys that build ice skating rinks.
- 3:27Speaker 2: The best one is in Montreal. We'll give you his number.
- 3:30Speaker 2: He called the guy. He came right down and said,
- 3:32Speaker 2: here's how you got to do it. Here's how you
- 3:33Speaker 2: build the rink. And they got it done. It was
- 3:36Speaker 2: pretty simple. Hey, one reason Trump did this, it wasn't
- 3:40Speaker 2: that he was just outraged about the city screwing up.
- 3:44Speaker 2: It was the main part of the view out of
- 3:47Speaker 2: Trump Tower. If you're in Trump Tower, that side of
- 3:50Speaker 2: the building, his office, his apartment, or any of the
- 3:52Speaker 2: apartments on that side, it looked right into Central Park
- 3:56Speaker 2: and for ten years they're looking at this hideous construction site.
- 4:00Speaker 2: So he wanted the rink finished one because it was
- 4:02Speaker 2: the right thing to do. Also just needed it for
- 4:05Speaker 2: his own building to fix things up. Hey, the mayoral race,
- 4:09Speaker 2: Hakim Jeffries is finally endorsed Zoran Mam Donnie. Now remember
- 4:15Speaker 2: Jeffries did not endorse him, didn't want to endorse him.
- 4:18Speaker 2: But same thing happened to him, that happened to Hokal,
- 4:21Speaker 2: happened to Schumer. The crazy nutjobs on the left, they
- 4:25Speaker 2: control the party now. They threatened Hakim Jeffries, they threatened
- 4:29Speaker 2: to primary him if he doesn't endorse Mom Donnie. This
- 4:33Speaker 2: is what's going on. With Schumer. Now the rumor is,
- 4:36Speaker 2: the word is Schumer will give up. He will not
- 4:40Speaker 2: run again next year. Schumer most likely will not run
- 4:44Speaker 2: next year. He's having a terrible problem fundraising. In the
- 4:47Speaker 2: last period, AOC raised eleven million, Schumer raised like two
- 4:51Speaker 2: hundred and fifty thousand. So he's in big trouble. And
- 4:54Speaker 2: a word is he will announce at some point next
- 4:56Speaker 2: year he's not running, which will hand it to AOC.
- 5:00Speaker 2: She'll be the Senator. But the crazy left taking control
- 5:03Speaker 2: of the party. Hakeem Jefferys terrified of them, so he
- 5:09Speaker 2: came out and endorsed Mom Donnie. They had this big
- 5:12Speaker 2: Mom Donnie rally, thirteen thousand people in a stadium. Now
- 5:16Speaker 2: Cuomo could never do that, but apparently Hokel was there
- 5:19Speaker 2: and she was getting booed and jeered by the crowd.
- 5:23Speaker 2: They were screaming at her to tax the rich. Well,
- 5:26Speaker 2: first of all, the rich pay all the taxes. Now
- 5:29Speaker 2: the top forty six percent pays like one other no
- 5:31Speaker 2: excuse me, the top one percent pays forty six percent
- 5:35Speaker 2: of the tax In New York, the top ten percent
- 5:38Speaker 2: pretty much pays it all. So it was quite a rally.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Bernie Sanders AOC spoke and now again we don't know
- 5:48Speaker 2: what it means. We can't really figure out exactly what
- 5:51Speaker 2: it means. But turnout has been through the roof. Early
- 5:54Speaker 2: voting turnout is about five hundred percent higher than normal.
- 6:00Speaker 2: That's a good sign, I guess, unless it's all the
- 6:04Speaker 2: Mom Donnie. You know, the problem is, Mom Donnie is
- 6:07Speaker 2: tapped into Generation X, very young voters. Now you could
- 6:11Speaker 2: try to explain to them what's wrong with socialism and
- 6:14Speaker 2: what's wrong with letting the criminals loose. And you could
- 6:16Speaker 2: try to explain to them how bad it was in
- 6:18Speaker 2: New York until Guliani came and cleaned it up. You
- 6:21Speaker 2: could try to explain all this to them, But they're young.
- 6:24Speaker 2: If you're twenty five, this is before you were born.
- 6:27Speaker 2: It's like somebody telling you about what Calvin Coolidge did.
- 6:29Speaker 2: It doesn't mean anything to you. So they never saw
- 6:31Speaker 2: it with their own eyes. They never saw what these
- 6:34Speaker 2: policies do. You could tell them how bad socialism is,
- 6:37Speaker 2: how it's failed in all fifteen million experiments. They've never
- 6:42Speaker 2: seen it. They've been indoctrinated for years in these crazy
- 6:46Speaker 2: This is the problem with these colleges. The left Wing
- 6:48Speaker 2: took them over years ago in doctrinating kids into the
- 6:52Speaker 2: most crazy socialist loving nonsense, and they turned out generations
- 6:58Speaker 2: and generations of of socialists. So it's not good. Not good. Hey.
- 7:03Speaker 2: You know who passed away over the weekend. June Lockhart.
- 7:07Speaker 2: June Lockhart was one hundred years old. You remember, she
- 7:11Speaker 2: was the mother and Lassie.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Lassie's part of this family and she's just going to
- 7:15Speaker 1: have to learn to accept it. There's no room in
- 7:21Speaker 1: this house for two stubborn females.
- 7:27Speaker 2: For those of you who are under a thousand years old,
- 7:29Speaker 2: Lassie was the show when was it the fifties, late fifties,
- 7:32Speaker 2: early sixties, but was in reruns forever. I saw it
- 7:34Speaker 2: as a kid in reruns. It It was about this
- 7:37Speaker 2: family where the smartest one was the dog. You know,
- 7:42Speaker 2: there was father knows best about how the father's the
- 7:45Speaker 2: wise one in the family who guides everybody. But this
- 7:48Speaker 2: was a show about the family was so dumb the
- 7:50Speaker 2: dog had to tell him what to do. The dog
- 7:52Speaker 2: was the boss. The dog was the leader. And this kid,
- 7:55Speaker 2: what was his name, Timmy? It was his dog, and
- 7:58Speaker 2: this Timmy was the biggest kluts that ever lived. He'd
- 8:01Speaker 2: fall down a well, he'd get stuck in a fence,
- 8:03Speaker 2: he'd whatever it was, Lastie would go get help. And
- 8:08Speaker 2: June Lockhart was the mother. She was very prim and proper,
- 8:11Speaker 2: and then of course she was on Lost in Space.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Everybody remembers her from Lost in Space.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Major that thirty billion dollars is just as much my
- 8:18Speaker 1: money as it is yours. And I don't like to
- 8:20Speaker 1: waste it either, but I'd gladly waste a hundred times
- 8:23Speaker 1: that much to safeguard my family. Now I say we
- 8:26Speaker 1: turned back. Don't you have an opinion? No, I don't,
- 8:31Speaker 1: not until we've checked every component inside out, know exactly
- 8:33Speaker 1: how we stand. And then and then I'll let the
- 8:36Speaker 1: computer make the final decision. And well, the computer also
- 8:39Speaker 1: take into consideration a man's love and concern for his family,
- 8:43Speaker 1: or has all that been put into cold storage for
- 8:45Speaker 1: the duration.
- 8:47Speaker 2: June Lockhart she passed away at one hundred. Now, as
- 8:49Speaker 2: you can hear the way she spoke, she was a
- 8:52Speaker 2: very prim and proper and a very formal woman. Now
- 8:57Speaker 2: in real life she was like a wild woman. She
- 8:59Speaker 2: was just the opposite in real life. Yeah, yeah, I'm
- 9:02Speaker 2: supposed to know this, But in real life quite wild.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Here's one article apparently quite the rock and roller. She
- 9:09Speaker 2: loved rock and roll. Her dream was to meet David Bowie.
- 9:12Speaker 2: She was a huge fan. I she had a real
- 9:16Speaker 2: passion for rock and roll. You know, some of those
- 9:19Speaker 2: TV moms were quite wild in a real life. I
- 9:24Speaker 2: don't want to mention any names Florence Anderson, but some
- 9:27Speaker 2: of them were a lot different off camera, and she
- 9:31Speaker 2: was one of them. But good for her. She lived
- 9:33Speaker 2: to be one hundred years old, pretty amazing, and passed
- 9:37Speaker 2: away this weekend at one hundred. Hey, if you watch
- 9:41Speaker 2: those crazy Sunday morning shows ABC, CBS Meet the Press,
- 9:45Speaker 2: they're the most corrupt, biased shows in the world. You
- 9:51Speaker 2: watch that Martha Radditts or that Jonathan carl These are
- 9:54Speaker 2: the most partisan, slanted fake news. And it's in that
- 9:59Speaker 2: Kristen Weld Meet the Press. So a Republican comes out,
- 10:02Speaker 2: even a very distinguished, a very brilliant Republican like a
- 10:07Speaker 2: Scott Bessant, and they ask him a question, always a rigged,
- 10:12Speaker 2: totally slanted, loaded question, and then as he starts to
- 10:16Speaker 2: answer in a very nice way, they start pounding away
- 10:19Speaker 2: at him. They start slapping him around, beating him up,
- 10:21Speaker 2: yelling at him for whatever he says, and then they
- 10:25Speaker 2: go to commercial. Then they come back with the Democrat
- 10:27Speaker 2: and they're so nice to him. They're so polite. There's
- 10:30Speaker 2: no follow up questions. They just nod like bobbleheads when
- 10:32Speaker 2: the Democrat talks. It's a Jekyll and Hyde, but they're
- 10:36Speaker 2: so crazy biased. Well, this Sunday morning on the CBS
- 10:42Speaker 2: Morning show it's called Face the Nation, something happened. It
- 10:49Speaker 2: was a little different. Hakeem Jeffries was the guest, the Democrat.
- 10:53Speaker 2: And normally when Hakeem Jeffries is on any of the
- 10:56Speaker 2: Sunday shows, it's oh, yes, sir, No, sir, yes, sir,
- 10:58Speaker 2: thank you for your answer. Yes, sir. Hakim Jefferies was
- 11:01Speaker 2: on the CBS show and he was spewing his usual
- 11:04Speaker 2: you know, fake fake news talking, but they started questioning him,
- 11:09Speaker 2: they started drilling down on his answers. This has never
- 11:12Speaker 2: happened before on a Sunday show. Well, the left went
- 11:15Speaker 2: crazy online denouncing CBS. How dare you ask a follow
- 11:20Speaker 2: up question of Hakim Jeffries, How dare you ask him
- 11:24Speaker 2: to criticize his answer? How dare you actually really grill them?
- 11:30Speaker 2: They've never seen this on CBS. Now, some think it
- 11:34Speaker 2: might be maybe it was just some weird outlier sort
- 11:39Speaker 2: of a thing, but some think most think this is
- 11:42Speaker 2: Barry Weiss, the new head of CBS News, who's trying
- 11:45Speaker 2: to clean up the bias. It could be she kind of,
- 11:49Speaker 2: you know, arranged this, or it could be the anchor
- 11:54Speaker 2: of Face the Nation, worried about getting fired, is trying
- 11:56Speaker 2: to get with the program to keep her job. But
- 12:00Speaker 2: for the first time ever, Jakim Jeffrey's got a serious
- 12:03Speaker 2: grilling about his crazy answers, and I think he used
- 12:09Speaker 2: the term the election was rigged or Republicans are rigging
- 12:12Speaker 2: the election. So she hit back. She said, you know
- 12:15Speaker 2: when a Republican says the election's rigged, you guys go crazy.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Why are you using that term? So the left went
- 12:21Speaker 2: crazy online. They couldn't believe that CBS News would actually
- 12:26Speaker 2: question anything. The Democrats said, hey, you know, our friend
- 12:31Speaker 2: Steve Hilton is running for governor California. It's actually the primary.
- 12:35Speaker 2: The election is next year. But in the latest poll
- 12:40Speaker 2: California Governor's race twenty twenty six, Steve Hilton leads Katie Porter,
- 12:44Speaker 2: not by much by one point, but significant because it's
- 12:48Speaker 2: such an overly democratic state possible for Republican to win.
- 12:53Speaker 2: You know, it used to be the opposite in California
- 12:55Speaker 2: years ago, he had plenty of Republican governors, it was
- 12:58Speaker 2: balanced the electtion. Reagan was governor, he had a lot
- 13:01Speaker 2: of Schwarzenegger. And then they imported millions and millions and
- 13:06Speaker 2: millions and millions of illegals. It's changed the whole ratio.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Democrats totally dominate. And one of the problems is, and
- 13:15Speaker 2: Gavin Newsom will have this problem. It's so democratic in California,
- 13:20Speaker 2: Republican has absolutely no chance. So if you win anything
- 13:24Speaker 2: in California Senate, whatever you win, let take Kamala Harris,
- 13:27Speaker 2: you'd win every time. You just win, you win, you win,
- 13:30Speaker 2: you win. Then you decide you'll run for president. Well,
- 13:34Speaker 2: when you're suddenly in a national race, it's not ninety
- 13:36Speaker 2: eight percent democratic the electorate, it's suddenly ballot and California
- 13:41Speaker 2: Democrat has no shot. They've never never run in a
- 13:44Speaker 2: balanced race before. So remember, Gavin Newsom may have that problem.
- 13:48Speaker 2: He may be popular in California, but as soon as
- 13:51Speaker 2: he tries to run with a mixed electorate, all of
- 13:53Speaker 2: a sudden he's got no shot. And Bill Maher interesting,
- 13:57Speaker 2: he's been warning Democrats them, especially on his show this week.
- 14:03Speaker 2: You know you got a big threat from Mom Donnie.
- 14:06Speaker 2: He's going to take down the whole party. You better
- 14:08Speaker 2: be careful. He's from Uganda, where they kill homosexuals. Mars said,
- 14:13Speaker 2: that's their policy. If you're homosexual, you get killed. They
- 14:16Speaker 2: kill you for being gay. That's your Ganda and he
- 14:20Speaker 2: Mars said, why doesn't he renounce his citizenship, Why doesn't
- 14:22Speaker 2: he denounce the country. Why does he do something like
- 14:25Speaker 2: that now? Mar also points out the problem in New
- 14:29Speaker 2: York Cuomo was not He wasn't inspirational, wasn't exciting, said
- 14:35Speaker 2: he appeared to be kind and normal, but people just
- 14:38Speaker 2: didn't like him anyway. Hey, coming up, Dick Morris will
- 14:40Speaker 2: be with us in a few moments now. Expert consultant,
- 14:44Speaker 2: Campaign consultant expert Polster. He's one of the one of
- 14:47Speaker 2: the ones that has said all along, Curtis had a
- 14:49Speaker 2: shot to win, Curtis had a good chance. He's supposed
- 14:52Speaker 2: to run around saying Curtis has no chance, Curtis has
- 14:55Speaker 2: no chance. The media has been drilling that into people.
- 14:58Speaker 2: But we'll talk to Dick Morrison if you ma, but
- 15:00Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:04Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 15:07Speaker 2: one zero seven ten
