- 0:38[SPEAKER_02]: As insane as it sounds guys, we are a couple weeks away from Brown's training camp.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_02]: And Daniel, all you foosy put out some really good questions about the biggest things to look at and the biggest questions that need to be answered Walking into July August and then eventually week one against a Jacksonville drag horse the first question.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: I do want to talk about Who wins the quarterback battle?
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's July We were just talking about before we got on Where do you guys stand right now in terms of quarterback status in that room like a like a like a good meme once said you had me in a first half Not gonna lie.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: I thought we actually had a quarterback battle on their hand
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: And then we should have known the very second that uh, what's his name Jay Dubs came out with when he was at the other the other competitor show was like Well, he said those chair right here too.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: He said it was he said right here right here.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: It was on not no competitor right here.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: I know that he went on a tour saying it.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I just remember that he said
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if the Sean plays, then he plays right like kind of just like loosening up getting a little, you know, moist over there if I Didn't get a little cringey with it, you know what I mean, but I think I think the Sean is cuby one.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even think there's a battle to be
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: battle now I think that they're just they're letting they're letting you know given the fans what we like and that's that little hope but I think when it's all said and done they've pretty much shown us the stars you just got to align them yourself to Sean Watson is going to be QB one week one and sure it is.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_03]: Are you in the same boat fill?
- 2:08[SPEAKER_03]: I'm on the boat to where whoever's at hell I'm gonna ride with him, but you know you never know, you know right now to the Sean and Who knows after the bullets get the flying in the precies and you know what I mean?
- 2:21[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see you know
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: see I think it depends on how you were the question.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think because who wins the quarterback battle I think to Sean Watson wins the quarterback battle I think he's a starting quarterback week one for this Cleveland Browns football team.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: I know exactly who wins the quarterback war That's a different question because anyone can win a battle not everyone can win a war I think should our Sanders ultimately wins the war takes the job about week five weeks six that area
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: interesting.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so you think it's, it's a matter of time almost before.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it's more of a formality that the Sean will get the last or the first chance rather as a veteran I was making all the money and I think you will get every last crack at the bat to try and go out there and hit a home run But if it ends up being a swing and a miss like Jimmy previously labeled it then I think you see should or so what's the least though?
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like you you obviously you're talking about the war.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: What's it gonna take for
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's as that crazy dude because I think you're looking at a point where it's also a business not just football and you're trying to sell PSLs into a dome and if you went three and 14 two years ago and you won five games last year but two of them were in December when nobody's watching like if you're staring down the barrel of oh and three oh and four again you're coming home and you got that primetime against the stealers approaching like I think that might be when you make that switch.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with you and there's really no excuses.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think for the first couple weeks I get you on the road, but you're gonna be in a Jacksonville drag-war stadium that's literally reduced capacity right the remodeling the stadium so they're physically less fans there We were both in Jacksonville a couple years ago.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: I mean wasn't a browns home game But there were a lot of browns fans there like it's a lot of people were tired and Florida and then the next week You play at Tampa again hot balls gonna be flying the air is gonna be taking it and Those secondaries are not very good
- 4:03[SPEAKER_02]: at least how I see them on paper right now.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think those secondaries are good.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: At home against the Panthers, I think the Panthers' defense is very good.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: They have great DBs, but you're also at home.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: You think that might push you over the edge a little bit.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_02]: If the Sean starts and it's 0 and 3, 1 and 2, and the offense looks bad or it's ugly offensively, Jack, I'm with you.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's crazy to say, I've seen enough.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_02]: We have prime time at home Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Sealer's first original game of the year.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_02]: That could be a game that completely changes things
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: Logical place to make more of that because he has Baker against the judge's kind of game.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they clip Joe Flacco what we three week for.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: It was after the Lions game.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_02]: So after week four.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, but here's my only thing though.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like,
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think we can all kind of, I don't know if we can all agree, but I feel like this team is too talented, you know, I know they're young, but I feel like they're too talented to start out,
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: four seven weeks out, they're three and four at with the shan at the home.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: Is that enough to be like, you know what?
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: Let's cut them loose and let's see what Shidorah Sanders can do.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: Because, you know, obviously, the answer, but it's got to be just where is the offense that.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because if you're three and four and the defense is scraping for their lives to get you to three and four, that's one thing.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: If you're three and four, he's competing weekend.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: We got it's different.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go this, we'll go this route.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: Since anything, the only thing we can do with hypothedos.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: The last great,
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: Good thing we've seen from the Sean was the Ravens game.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think he had 200 something yards I don't think I think the big thing was he didn't even have an in completion the second half right zero in completion So we're no let's just say it's two two 15 average he averages a touchdown a game
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: And he's limiting his turnovers to let's just say point nine.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: So he's likely to maybe give you one interception per game.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: And he's not costing you any games.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: You may be lose on a missed field goal.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you lose on a bad call.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: But you're not looking at it and saying, well, like we were weeks one through four, like we're losing because of the offense.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, how do you look at it from that standpoint, which is like, you know what, all right?
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: You didn't do anything wrong, it's Sean, but we're gonna go to the Shudor anyway.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like it comes down to what the perspective is for the Browns for the rest of the season.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: Because at that point, you're between a rock and a hard place where, like, defense is probably playing pretty well.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_02]: We're hovering around 500.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: If you're three and four, the buy comes in a few weeks against after games against Steelers Saints and the Texans weeks.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that'd be eight, nine and ten, I believe.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, you're in a spot where,
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: We can lean into Shidorah Sanders.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: We're not necessarily mailing the season in, but what we know have right now works to some extent.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_02]: Do we want to look at Shidorah Sanders get a real gauge on him for the future because we have those two first round picks next year?
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: Or do we really believe in what we're doing as a team, not just in offense?
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's not worst case scenario for three and four, but if you have to make a decision like that a couple of weeks out from a buy, I think that's a really hard place to be.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't most rather make the change earlier than that.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to ask you because and I'm not saying that the Browns are in this exact headspace I don't know any players personally.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know who wants to show on who wants to or who doesn't care That are on the current active Cleveland Browns football roster at this moment in time.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: I do not
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: Is there ever so say we're in a world where like maybe some of the locker room does want Shoulder and you were in rooms in Cleveland where obviously didn't have one quarterback the whole entire year does it weigh on a locker room at all if you get to a place where say maybe Deshawn doesn't play too great for a few weeks and they're still sticking with him and like some guys are like Hey, like we got shit or right here like let's find out about him like does that ever happen in a locker room at all Where it's like okay like this quarterbacks playing but like damn this guy is ain't too bad either
- 7:52[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, yeah, happens, but usually most of the guys, uh, you know, control what you control.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 7:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's above our pay grade, you know what I mean?
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: And at them to the day, we're going to ride with whoever's at the helm.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we're not going to be like, uh, well, I was, that's all I'm not going to block.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_03]: Whoever's there, we're going to ride with, you know what I mean?
- 8:13[SPEAKER_03]: Cause it's still a team at them to the day.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: And I, that is only half the battle, too.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the offensive side of the ball didn't even talk about losing Miles Garrett for the first time since he was drafted in the NFL.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's a browser.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of other things to figure out, too.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: They were without the best player, I think, in the NFL right now.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know, losing Miles, you know, and we're going to see how that goes.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_03]: See if this new online gels together.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's a lot of variables that we got to see.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I have a question.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: When does
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: This is a crazy quote, like I already know how this could be, you know, it's like, took it by someone, right?
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: No, because I just know how people are like, I could say it, and then they'd be like, oh, listen to this guy, this guy that's got to know.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm asking, when does addition by subtraction?
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: When does it, like, addition by subtraction happen?
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: in a sports setting, because what I'm wondering, remember when Odelle finally got traded, like, oh, this could be better for the team.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I was in the camp where you don't get better by trading away your talent.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't believe that.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, you can't convince me that.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I know I'm kind of like, you know, contradicting myself here.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: But is it crazy to say that the team, the defense of team as a whole, could potentially be better without miles, Garrett?
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like, is there a world that that's possible?
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously, the individual accolades are never gonna be as high as they once were with Miles Garrison here.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: You may never sniff the historical defense that you saw on 2023 with Miles, but there were a lot of other defense players as well.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm just looking like, if Jared versus still top three and pressures, let's just say we create five, seven more turnovers than we did the previous year.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: We create more points like, can we look at it and be like, hey, maybe we did get better without Miles Garrison.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: on the defensive side of the ball or or the team.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean both both.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think it's too different questions defense.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: Like I mean it's the best player in the world.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's it's hard.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: Unless Carson's question your taste.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_03]: I mean yeah, we lost miles but overall as a defense, you can still have a better year than you did the previous year.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_03]: We didn't go to play.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: I was I was more thinking yeah as a team success absolutely yes and it also gives you an opportunity with the extra first round pick and extra picks in the future you get from that trade to maybe take your franchise quarterback maybe if you like a tackle in the draft you can take him like it allows I think the team holistically to get better
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: I find it hard to believe push comes to shove all of these pieces are moderately the same on the defense side of the ball and it's like Jared vs. can he push us to be a better defense than Miles Garrick could if everything else is the same.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's one area that we don't know and I think it's the area that we could bank on and it's like This is why we could be better and that's the leadership role.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: I do you know there are certain a lot of people always go to the box scores and stuff like that But there are certain intangibles that you can't coach and that you either have it or you don't and I think leadership is one of those things You'll never see it on a stat sheet, but like if he's elevating other player I go back to the same
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: moment with Alex Wright in that Houston Texan's game.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: There was a moment where they've penned the camera over to the sideline and it wasn't Miles Garrett.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't Denzel Ward.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't Grant Delpade.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't any of the veterans that you would want to be that leader galvanizing the team when you're getting punched in a mouth by Houston Texan's team.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: It was Alex Wright and I had Alex Wright on after the game that I think was like a week or two after the game and I asked him about that exact moment.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: And he said, hey, I went up to Miles Gary.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, man, something I got to say something.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: He like, this ain't this ain't us.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there was none of that dance stuff.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: And Miles reaction or his thing that he said to him was, well, why don't you do it?
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: You're never gonna have that problem with Jared Versh.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's true.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: And that's where I think if you see a guy, maybe miss a talk or miss an assignment, or whatever the case may be, I'm looking for a on the sideline and seeing what type of leader he's gonna be because those are the type of things that can make a team holistically better than just one individual person.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: And I think head coach has a lot to do with that, too.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think the culture has dramatically changed in three, four months, maybe more.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_02]: That Todd Munkin has been there.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm curious, when we talk about a head coaching change and a culture change, whether it's defensively with Jared Vers, holistically as a team, what change are you looking for the most?
- 12:30[SPEAKER_02]: Is it the vocal leadership?
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe not just from Jared Verskino.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody's got to do it offensively, too.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: Is it the vocal leadership?
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what are we looking at for a culture change with Todd Munkin coming in?
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: little bit of everything.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_03]: You need a little bit of everything because anything is going to be better than nothing.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_03]: So you got to go out there, you know, if it's the, you know, new, new defense, how everything looks without miles or new online, got a little spark with them or if the Sean's playing lights out or you know, you never know, we just need a little bit of everything.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's, it's definitely going to, we're going to see something.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I, this is the equivalent to Jim Schwarz coming in and literally the second he got on the defense.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: It was night and day difference.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Todd is going to have that same effect where you're already seeing the emotion.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: You're already seeing a different style of leader than what we
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: The Kevin's defense gear almost it gave a pre camp vibes in the remember the Titans movie where it was often to defense defense You sit yo ass over there like a had Alex right I worked out with Alex right and he was talking about how Todd was already in the defensive room And making his relationships there like it just feels like there's more
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: less of a divide and more togetherness.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm looking for that energy.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like you're gonna see it just like we saw our car's a sweatshirt just like you see it with any of those elite players when Odell was on a team you looked at him and was like man he just he moving different.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah and I'm expecting Todd like to look at him like when you looked out on the field you didn't see Kevin Stephansky you saw a bunch of coaches.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see Todd like let me know he's the guy.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm interesting.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: Who do you think benefits the most offensively then with him coming in because obviously he's been to the defense meetings Is that coach trying to figure everything out from a cultural overall or overhead standpoint But he's you know an offensive coordinator that just got Lamar jacks in an MVP that has done great things in Baltimore Who benefits the most offensively then?
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: Sean Watson.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: I would say that you'd be as too.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: Sean Watson.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he and only reason why I said that is because that's the most important position obviously.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: And as when you're ahead of coach, you need to know who the quarterback is.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: He signed up for this.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: So if anybody's going to benefit it, he at least thinks that, hey,
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: If I can't make Shador work, I can make the Shador work, I can make the Shador work.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: So as much as I'm hyped for Q, we've seen what he's done with Derek Henry's and the multi-back fill that he's had the past couple of years and how they did their running back committee.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you've seen what he's done with Zay Fawers type receivers, casing accepts the only one that we've seen that Denzel Boston.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: But Lamar Jackson, how he elevated his game to another level.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're trying to tap him with
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: Design Watts is going to benefit drastically from it.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think we've already seen Shidorah benefit from it as well.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, it is interesting to see a guy that almost outwardly believed in and tried to get Shidorah standards.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_02]: The draft before this one's on 2025.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I mean, the quarterback, I'm with you that makes sense.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_02]: I am fascinated to see the guys between the hashes.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, case you can set up your own, but I mean,
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: The tight-end room in Baltimore wasn't necessarily crowded when he had Mark Andrews and Isaiah likely, but both those guys were productive at times.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Harold Finn and Junior, I think, have showed a lot in his rookie year potentially more than those guys did in their rookie years.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really fascinated to see because also when Lamar Jackson was involved more in the monk and offense the past couple of years, two of the three years of monk and was the offensive coordinator, they're top seven in slot target rate in the other year, they were
- 16:08[SPEAKER_02]: with a receiver-like casing except your own or a tight-end-like Harold van and junior.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's definitely something to look at.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_02]: We sat here a bunch throughout the off season, and even last year, and talked about Quintion Judge against as a vocal leader.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think that hat not has to be.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_02]: Could very well be the offensive vocal leader if they needed one.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's still Shador.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy, is it?
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: I know I sat here before.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I think because the Sean even when
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: for a lot of different reasons.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: But I think 12 or two now, to do now, yeah.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: He just has the natural leadership ability.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas for, I'm sure, I'm not gonna say he doesn't have leadership tangibles.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously he does.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_00]: You've seen DJ water apologize for wasting the season.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: But like, I just think that with two, it's nothing forced.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: Four is gonna eat I think he's more for self this year, you know, like if I'm for I'm probably more for myself, obviously We're still on the team, but like I'm gonna make sure focused on just getting through the 17 game season and stuff like that, but like even when
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: Chador was third string.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: He was still doing leadership type things on the sidelines.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why I think you have this unique opportunity with Chador Sanders because if he does hit, you hit the lottery and just about every aspect.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's shown zero signs that he's not coachable, right?
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: That he's coachable, which is huge to have an athlete, and especially at the quarterback position.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: I believe he's talked about his mechanics being worked on and all of that stuff.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think if when it's Tuesday, there is no turning back.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: There is going to be no October next year.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: He's either going to be the guy moving forward.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: So he's going to have to be the leader or he's going to get Ken next year.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to see a new quarterback next year.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: This is the last shot for two in Cleveland in my opinion.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, if you just think about the quarterback room like he, they have to know this year if he's the guy moving forward.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't see how you string him along another two years.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_03]: You forget that out and you know, start to see the season off as the starter.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_03]: Like how can you really know as in a year from now?
- 18:20[SPEAKER_03]: I still think like you really can.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_03]: He's always been up once this person, you know, goes down or doesn't play good.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_03]: Then you put them in.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like give him a season for us first start and see how he does that's why I think he issued just then comes in because it would be next year because I mean we're assuming to Sean gets it this year is they would draft a quarterback in the first round that year after and then I just think it to no fault of Shidorah is what's so average just the circus of like Shidorah being petted against this rookie quarterback like I I just think it'd be just so it'd be too much too many cooks in the room if that means it was it will be
- 18:57[SPEAKER_03]: I think so too.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 18:59[SPEAKER_03]: And that's how they doing it with the show.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_03]: And he's the older he's the vet.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_03]: We all, you know what I'm saying?
- 19:04[SPEAKER_03]: We put money into him.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's his spot to lose.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 19:08[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't his fault.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he got hurt or whatever.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know what I'm saying?
- 19:11[SPEAKER_03]: They're giving him a chance to come back off his injuries and see how he does.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Loki, me personally, what I would do, like if I was playing the whole, you know my theory, the whole brick park theory, everything's cited towards brick park.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like personally,
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: even if you go draft record about next year, but let's adore take you to Brooke Park.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: Seriously, yeah, you're going to make or take you for a year before you get there.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_00]: At least right like give him the whole because his rookie contract would go up until Brooke Park, right?
- 19:39[SPEAKER_02]: Up until Brooke Park.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: So like, I mean, you're going to still be able to sell tickets because she doors going to be your starter.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: You're you're still going to have the funnest that comes with Shidorr because I mean, it's a Sanders.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: Let's face it.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then the biggest benefit of all, which I wanted them to do with Shidorr this year, is just you finally get to let your quarterbacks.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: If archmanning is your price possession.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, as much as we want to see that first round quarterback get thrown out there.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: Just sit on you got you got to think about like real life though to at the same time the fourth Interception should or throws.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, but that's fine scream for arch to cut.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: But that's fine And that's where as a we know how I get a chance to sit especially with Jimmy Oh, but that's we got arch in time.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: We'll one that would be Jimmy's biggest dream of all time To be able to sell should or and archers you simultaneously
- 20:29[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe he actually would find a way to make a work for a whole entire season.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: But something would be, it would be PT Barnum.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what that comes to, the argument we had a couple of shows ago where I said, where you got to give Jimmy has him credit, that would be his real test.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: If you put Friday night's SmackDown on the field, this is the two biggest names you could find.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: No, if he, if he, if he,
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's been foreshadowing arch manning for years, right?
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is not just a overnight like flame.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: This has been years in the making.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: It would be so like it would fit my narrative if he drafted them.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: And then was like,
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: not arts just relax my boy.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: We need you for $23.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think if they said arts, you're setting us here.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think Peyton Cooper, Eli, Big Arch, the whole I think they would come to Cleveland and actually take him out of the building in Burilla and throw him into the second best professional football league in America.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: and still until they traded them out of clear.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think the man he's absolutely, but the man he's care about.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: They said you're sitting for a, they would never say to archman and you're sitting for a full year.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: But the man he's care about legacy.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: And they, and why, and nothing would sit, what's sitting behind the Shoulder Sanders for a year?
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, it was your first city.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: No, what's sitting is you would be sitting out the last of the city, which is not the NFL.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: I
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not disagreeing with that.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm giving you the narrative.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm giving you the the the thought here.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: But it's just it's just unicorns and happiness.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's not what Cleveland Brown's so calling it.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: But it's going to tad and that's what it.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: But that's where it's going to take something unique.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_00]: like it's going to take the weirdest of the weirdest situations for us to find our quarterback, which is why we thought we had Baker and why we traded for the shot.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like that was so off the wall that like you throw away your prize possession that you drafted number one overall for a guy who hadn't played football in a year.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I felt like that was really going to work because he was the top quarterback and you got rid of your prize possession.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: So what's going to take the unicorns or the Voldemort being thrown into the pot and have a bone of Tom Frittles blood and hair of Harry Potter into the pot to get our franchise quarterback.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_01]: How many if you're the Browns how many quarterbacks a week because we're well like 40 quarterbacks now 40 came over essentially right how far off are you from just abandoning the forward pass and going triple option?
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: How many more quarterbacks?
- 22:44[SPEAKER_00]: Well tightly green tightly uh tail and green one tail and here Two green you drag you drag two running backs a year ago a baby head foresight now Shidorah Shidorah's got too much potential to do that though like that's why I
- 22:56[SPEAKER_00]: I've got faith in them too.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think if there's anybody built for the moment, it takes a special type of person of shine and the Cleveland light, and I know what it would mean, Cleveland light.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, come to Cleveland.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: You'll find out what light we're talking about.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's a very weird light.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: It could be bright and be dim.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: It could be no light at all.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: But that's why Baker may field work those first few years.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Shidorah Sanders has the the perfect makeup to thrive in a city like Cleveland.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_02]: I like that.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm glad we're talking quarterbacks.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to take a break here in a second.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_02]: Talk ESPN's top 10 quarterback consensus rankings.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: Very interesting.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_02]: The spoiler.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: The spoiler.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: The leader max.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, really.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: The spoiler.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_02]: The spoiler.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_02]: No browns quarterbacks on there.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_02]: But we're going to take a break.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be right back on the Big Place Sports Network.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back into the Big Play Cleveland show.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_02]: We left talking about Browns quarterbacks.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to talk more NFL quarterbacks right now.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, again, release their top 10 consensus quarterbacks.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you guys looked at the list player by player, but there was a highest ranking, a lowest ranking, and then obviously their average across all of them.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_02]: The big talking point is Lamar Jackson.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get to that in a minute here, but I want to start off by talking about ESPN's number one quarterback who has taken the spot from Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: How crazy is it sitting in here in 26 to say Josh Allen is the best quarterback in the NFL over a guy like Mahomes, who's had so much success over the past couple years, but we're gonna spend a spade playing his dropped off the past few.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, because I don't, the Josh wanted to pull that.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's been, yeah, it's which is fair.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_03]: Then I don't know, you don't know me and so like.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_03]: How can you be the number one could be in the NFL?
- 24:31[SPEAKER_03]: You ever want to support that?
- 24:32[SPEAKER_03]: To valet question.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think you'd have an argument for Stafford over the homes at this point, too.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: Especially this one, you had that year that he had last year.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's that crazy watching at home.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_03]: This boy plays your own way, it really is done right now.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he was an honor.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he coming off of, uh, some movies.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: He was an honorable mention on the list, which is interesting.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_03]: He just honorable mention.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think the top eight or nine guys probably, you know, you can order them a lot of different ways.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're probably good at 10 spot is really interesting.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: And that brings me to my next point.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb Williams was the 10th best quarterback over guys like Sam Darnell, Brock Perti, a guy who I really like Jordan Love, Jalen Hurts, even Jane Daniels.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of discussion about- It's a 43rd Super Bowl winning quarterback Fourth, out of that in those names here.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: Right there.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk Jalen Hurts here in a second.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_02]: But I do want to ask you guys, is it a little too premature to put Caleb Williams in the top 10?
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's an electrifying player, but there are guys who have had more success than him.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_02]: They're first couple years who have made it farther, taking their teams farther.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_02]: Is it crazy to say Caleb Williams, top 10 quarterback right now?
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: Where do they have Jalen Day of his last year?
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: Last year, I think he was in the top 10.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm fairly certain using the top 10.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's fair.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_02]: You think it's fair to put Caleb in there?
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if we're going off, we'll see why he's a play.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: He did.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like this list tells me, every all of these list these top 100, this is all what have you done for me last year, or literally lately.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: So over base of it, all of what we saw last year, Caleb Williams damn sure was a top 10 quarterback last year.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: I, but off off I test alone.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not looking at no stats because I know you're the stats guy and I don't even I test.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: Bro, the playoffs, it matters most when it matters.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: And that's any one, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: would have loved every four touchdowns and five intercepts who yeah guy at a real Super Bowl around he didn't have a Super Bowl run because he didn't go but I know what I want two percent completion percentage and I want every two passes.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: I also watched this quarterback throw one of the best passes I think I've ever seen in my life.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: He'll get my call come back came down if in the end of the end.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean you remember the San Francisco touchdown Super Bowl catch were as over the time.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's literally what we saw Caleb Williams do against us over two defenders in the back of the end zone.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: It like literally just T-minus eight months ago.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: Who is in the who pre-tall was in the Cleveland Brown secondary when that happened?
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: Probably go look.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: Go look who played its soldier field then.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about what kid like what are we basing top this is what I want to know What do they base their rankings off of is it stats is it the play on it's probably yeah It's probably a combination of everything Caleb William has probably he owns probably what three of the top ten plays we've seen all of last season Yeah, okay, okay, Karras Laver it has five at the time that's plays here sing on the A season
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't seen him in one MBA 75.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I've seen one carousel of her highlight even and he dropped 23 on us in a play.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: I assume that you the top five quarterbacks regardless of what order you think there.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: They should be in Allen Mahomes staff for Burl Amar all better than K Williams.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_02]: Justin Herbert, better than K Williams, you think?
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'll give it to him.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a Herbert guy.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_00]: Drake may.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like me.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll take what?
- 27:52[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
- 27:52[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: I gotta may guy.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't believe it.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: Or just like over-drape.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's because I'm the same way I felt with Trevor Lawrence.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't buy into the Trevor Lawrence hype when he was drafted.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not bought into the Drake my hype yet.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't believe it yet.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: Even though it's a boy house.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I didn't do it.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_03]: There's something about him.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_03]: That was coming there.
- 28:11[UNKNOWN]: I don't know.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_00]: There's something about him.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: I just, it seems fluke.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't disagree because it was such a big jump from year one to year two, but he did all that with, like, no help.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: And now you got AJ Brown, Romeo Dobs, the offensive line got way better.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's good.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: Does he do that in a Cleveland Browns uniform?
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's in a Patriot uniform.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Or if you call me paleo, I don't think that's a Cleveland Browns uniform.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's a good one.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's a good one.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: Coaching staff matters.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: Josh McDaniel is not a matters.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: We give teams benefits of the doubt all the time because of the jerseys that they wear.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_00]: And we could just say this about any questions.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: But now we can, William's looking at Browns jersey.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_01]: I would dry out with Josh Allen looking at Browns jersey.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's a fair question.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying, I don't know.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_03]: I think right since you last year, a lot of these top cubies.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_03]: Josh Allen would look damn good on Josh Allen.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: You wouldn't look as good as he would.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, if KT was protecting his blind side, Josh Allen would not be in the NFL anymore.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, that's a hot thing.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I I think a lot of I'm a lot of people.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just not a man That's fair.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that it's one year.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's one year, but much like it was for Caleb Williams and that that's where I'm like I'm not a hundred percent sure I can get behind it.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing though on the flip I was I wasn't bought in the Kayla he bought he won the over this past year like especially after I watched him kick our ass I'm like, man, maybe this guy is legit and then that ram's game
- 29:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh, and the playoffs, right?
- 29:36[SPEAKER_00]: What did any play the Rams?
- 29:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that was the game.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the Rams beat them at Soldier Field.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: In the last second heroic touchdown, like that's Aaron Rodgers.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: It is.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: He makes those plays.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: He's extremely clutch.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_02]: I just wonder if sometimes can you avoid those situations if you're a Miffy play better?
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't know.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like, these, one of the most clutch quarterback, he might have been the most clutch quarterback outside of Matthew Stafford.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that's one of the young fellow last year.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: Which is fair.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, Matthew Stafford, that helped him get to number three on the list.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know about you guys.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_03]: He's in those clats situation.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_03]: He's great, but if he's not in the clats situation, like the plea opposite.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and that's an interesting debate, too, because you have guys like Lamar Jackson, who on this list was five, which I think is way too low.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like I think that's, that's wild.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's wild.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: What's crazier is that at least one person who voted on this list had Lamar Jackson outside the top 10 quarterbacks on our third quarterbacks in the NFL.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_02]: That's crazy.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_03]: That's hate or hate.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_03]: That's just hate or hate.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with you guys at 5,000 yards and a 10-to-one touchdown interception ratio of the year prior and the year you have your future pieces decade.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he in the past three seasons.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's a hell of a scene on the top 10.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: And the crazy thing is like last year, obviously he dealt with injuries in the production wasn't as good.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he stole the three to one touchdown interception, right?
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the most surprising ranking though.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's got to be number six, right?
- 30:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's high, but I think he absolutely belongs for sure.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's just weird because I remember when we were in the conversation last year.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: Where we pulled that garbage down the road.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm there for the Cowboys.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like, when we posed in the hypothetical last year, like, what if we tried, what'd you call it, Bruce?
- 31:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Bruce.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: It was on the Dak Prescott, Dak Rocks.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I just remember how Browns fans were like, hey, I really want to touch them with a 10-foot pole.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: And now he's top six.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think he is almost.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_03]: He's top six though, just because he got what, CD.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_02]: No, I think people would hate him more and they don't resist the Browns quarterback, but it like on an average like what like Detroit like if he was putting those numbers up on Detroit Like he'd still probably be a top-than quarterback and widely regard James was putting that would be back here
- 32:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think Jack belongs to the top 10.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_02]: The the hot debate.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think is the 10th spot though.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's Caleb Williams.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's Darnell.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_02]: Pretty love.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_02]: Jayden Daniels.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_02]: Jayden hurts.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_02]: I put him at five after all, guys.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_02]: I think I would agree with you.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with you.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with you on that.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_00]: He should be if you're going to do that.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like I could I would feel comfortable if you move Caleb Williams out and slide it in.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's same Darnell.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'd even be fine with Jayden today.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_00]: I know he had that one all season last year.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_00]: But he had injuries.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_03]: I always say back out and do the ad.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: Really, startled.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_03]: I keep getting it.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_00]: Funny, he's not on the top 10 list.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: Ooh.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_02]: Baker Bayfield.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, man.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't see what he did get an honorable mention.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: I sat in that exact chair in week.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: 3, 4, 5 and I told y'all that he ain't a MVP quarterback and y'all looked at me like I was the claw in toy store He has chosen to be an idiot like and now he's not even in the top 10 Yeah, no, he dropped off second half of the year for sure and there's a lot of factors that play that but he did absolutely
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think I don't want a lot of injuries and injuries.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_00]: And you see the report that came out, he had, he dealt with four different injuries last year.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: No, and they were all, but see that, it's a gift in a curse, but that is why he's not our quarterback.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: And that's his downfall.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_00]: He plays through certain things that he shouldn't play through, and it's the detriment of his team.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_00]: If he could fix that, he probably is a top ten quarterback, but I think his eagle will not allow him to do what needs to be done because he thinks and which, you know, no more power to you that he can accomplish those things.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: But yet again, funny how injuries is something that's due really his numbers when that is why we traded for the Sean Watson in the first place.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's a fair point.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also got bad injuries.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I always think it's our fault.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: No, just just a way the life works.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's funny.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_02]: I feel I'm with you I would put Donald over Caleb Williams.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'd absolutely do that on the list.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_02]: Probably about six, but I wouldn't What do you say?
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: You would know and touch that with a boy.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: Why is Jalen Hertz?
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought I'd turn quarterback than I felt max.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's got to be able to do it.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: How long do you have?
- 34:11[SPEAKER_03]: The quarter public opinion.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I heard she's being into.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_03]: I don't see.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_03]: I don't see I don't see Another one I'm taking that out
- 34:17[UNKNOWN]: Really?
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: Why would you put what?
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like outside of my gosh.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: Love you.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: Those throw a pretty damn good football.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: I won't lie to you.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: Dakota Presscock can do that.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: But why else are you taking him out of jail?
- 34:28[SPEAKER_02]: Dak Prescott.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because I think he's a better pastor.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_02]: No, I think if he had I think if he had the offensive line and weapons I think holistically past couple years equals weapons.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: I've been better than the Cowboys I think if he had that he'd be better.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_02]: He'd be winning more games I think if he had the equals defense that was elite that you know put Patrick Holmes in a blender in the Super Bowl I think he would be way better the team.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I think he's been a role in the system number one hurts I feel like an another shot
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think last year's system, you're right, I think that was awful.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Kellyn Moore system two years ago helped him a lot.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the thing too, like...
- 35:02[SPEAKER_02]: You are in such a difficult spot when you played the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_02]: You want to stop Sake Juan Barclay, who nobody could do, especially the second half of the year.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: You'd have to load the box.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_02]: You'd probably play one safety high, and then you have to deal with one on one on the outside with AJ Browner de Montes, nobody in the NFL at the corner room to stop both of them.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: That was why Jalen Hurts was one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL against man coverage two years ago, and one of the worst in the NFL against zone coverage.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_02]: The Rams play off game, granted it was in the snow, but the Rams play off game.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: But Jalen Hurts looked like he had never seen his own coverage as life, and it's not a coincidence that the two games after that, commanders in the Nazi Championship, chiefs in the Super Bowl, two of the most man-heavy teams in the NFL.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think he heavily benefited from everybody else around.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_02]: Not to say he's not a top 15-ish, top 12 quarterback in the NFL.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to let him in.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: I would say if we're going down the list from there, I think the top nine in whatever order find.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'd probably say, darn old then, perdi.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's probably Williams love hurts in some order.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: I sew around top 14 or so, top 12 or so.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a bigger purdy guy than what I think purdy guy.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know you like purdy guy either.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: Which is fair.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, match your life that day was as good.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_02]: He came from nowhere basically and you know the main but shit a hand is him Shanahan is him Yeah, I'm telling you when you check merchant my yeah my my odd take that always gets people look at me sideways like I watch Brock Perty and Josh Allen play side by side like if you look at silhouettes They play very similar.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_02]: He reminds me so much a Josh Allen instinctually I don't know.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think Perty's very underrated, but who's not on this list though?
- 36:37[SPEAKER_02]: Who?
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: Where the hell is your door?
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's pro-boy.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_00]: There is definitely a world.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_03]: That's really.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: Let's play a whole season.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody on this list played a whole season.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_00]: This has all the makeup in the world for this to be one of the most stressful season slash all seasons Cleveland Browns fans have had, which is saying a lot because we've been through a lot the past 30 years.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: I just have this weird eerie feeling.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why and I'm not trying to manifest it to happen.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_00]: talk me off of a jack.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm getting ready.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think the shine is going to look serviceable this year.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I thought we were going to.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because I want should do it, but we all know my wrist is as high as that you Liberty can go, right?
- 37:35[SPEAKER_00]: But at the same time.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_00]: this this I've been a bronze fan too long to know how this shit goes and usually when you want something to happen the complete opposite happens and you're telling me that you got insurance money back you're telling me that he's healthy as he's ever been it looks like there's a closet she's ever been he did oh he did he might be I don't think that's a crazy thing
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: I've heard that every single offseason with him, every single offseason with him, every single offseason with you know, karma came in and maybe karma's done kicking his ass.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: Karma doesn't, karma doesn't take time out, it's brother.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_00]: But what I'm saying is though, it has all the makeup.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_00]: with that.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he's in the contract here this year for him to come out and throw for 3,000 yards and throw for 27, 28, 29 touchdowns and be like, oh my god, what are we going to do with him at the end of it?
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: That's it has all the makeup for it to happen.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: And then maybe that's just me being a brownstone.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like in my, in my crate, who's been a Browns fan more than 20 years in here?
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I mean, in my crazy, Ryan, what do you think?
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I think you're crazy.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: But I do want to ask.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm crazy.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: But I do want to ask.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_03]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think you're crazy.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think you
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he won't fight him like that's what like even though I said even though I just like said You're friggin insane for saying that the Sean could do I would I think it's if you're like just this season You're saying it just season if it's just this season I think long-term Shodora's better chance of making the top 10 list But if you're like gunned in my head will make it this season It's got to be the Sean.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean the guy is had like he's he's literally shown That he can be a top 10 quarterback so I think I would have to default to that.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_00]: I mean best case in there if I'm Andrew Barry and I'm Jimmy has this
- 39:46[SPEAKER_00]: I want the Sean Watson to come out and win us games this year.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_00]: I want to play all 17 and I want them to either squeak into the playoffs or just barely miss it, send Sean off into the sunset wherever he wants to go, right?
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: And then you let Shador play next year.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_00]: You still draft your guy and now you're already a year ahead of the curve.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you can let that quarterback that you just drafted in the first round.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: No matter what, Sid, because Shidorah Sanders has been in Todd Munkin's offense for two years.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: He should be ready to go in year three.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to get the, if he's gonna work out, it's gonna work out in year three.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_00]: If it's not gonna work out, it's not gonna work out in year three, right?
- 40:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like, so like, I agree.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_03]: That was my biggest thing about QBs, especially QBs that go early, most likely they're going to a bad team.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_03]: And when they get thrown in the fire, this could be detrimental to their careers.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_03]: So by Shouldor standing, sitting behind the Sean this year is not a bad thing.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's another year learning, another year of, you know, saying, getting used to everything and coming year three of the Sean's not there and Shouldor takes over, I think it'll be perfect.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 40:55[SPEAKER_03]: You got two years under his belt, you know what I mean?
- 40:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he might have got thrown in the fire a little bit as rookie year, but he got a little taste.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: You know what?
- 41:03[SPEAKER_03]: He's ready, you know what I mean?
- 41:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I also think it's worth asking ourselves a year from now that Browns have put a bunch of money into the offensive line, Harold Finn and Jr. was great as rookie year, Quinshawn, Judd, Gens was great as rookie year, two of your top three draft picks, our wider severs, and the other one is an offensive lineman.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_02]: You think the trajectory for the young offensive talent goes up, and you put whoever's going to be quarterback to Sean, Shador, me, whoever.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: They are going to be playing with a better offense, and they were a year prior likely, I would think.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this is a night and day difference.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: from last year from last year night yeah i think he just here's my question i guys just i hate to sound like a pastimist because i i don't want to be okay i want highly shut up you're not but how can you on July 14th before we've seen this team touch a preseason game let alone a regular season game
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: with a head coach who's 60 years old never once got a head coaching interview in the first place let alone head coaching job.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: How can we just but I mean I'm not trying to be that guy like how can we sit here and just be automatically like all this offense is for shirts way back.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_01]: How do we know it?
- 42:08[SPEAKER_03]: I'm you said.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: There's because of the new players we got and wait you said we don't know it's interesting you said first interview do you know fun fact for those of you that don't know at home.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know there was only one team that interviewed Kevin Stephanski for a head coaching job when he got hired?
- 42:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know who that team was?
- 42:23[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, she's the Cleveland brothers of the Cleveland Brown.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_00]: No one wanted Kevin.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: They wanted O'Connell.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm just- Don't blame him.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, don't blame him, exactly.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_00]: We might point.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_00]: They have a Stephanski to come in and elevate our offense.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: And what did he do?
- 42:35[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't do that.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'll just- Exactly.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_00]: But I just- I'm just testing to that point, but I'm just saying it's funny.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_00]: You're using that.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm using it from a different angle saying like, it's going to be different because
- 42:48[SPEAKER_00]: Kevin Stephenski for you know as much as I have Kevin Stephenski Hader whatever you want to call it, we all can agree that it at times and most of the times it felt like he wasn't driving the boat, right?
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: If Hugh Jackson was sitting at that table where he was like, so you got to buy someone's got to drive the boat, this, the bus.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_00]: He, I don't think he was driving it for probably what two, two years and easy out of the six that he was here.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_00]: Todd Munkin for 1,000% certainty is hand picking how he wants this offense.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_00]: And he brought in two receivers and back to back highs positions, which the bronze have never done.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_00]: You've retooled the entire offensive line.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I believe there was a ranking Jenkins from the green day.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_02]: L. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J
- 43:42[SPEAKER_00]: This it's gonna be very hard to mimic 15.8 points for game.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_00]: I agree for two seasons in a row.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: There's no way we can go that there's no way.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the case you gotta fire everybody.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_02]: Careful saying there's no way because I said that before.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, last year's going to it got worse, but I think you bring up a good point, Jack.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like, there's a lot of moving parts, and I'm a Giants fan.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_02]: I talk about the Giants.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody needs to take the leap, dark, scattered with all those guys at the same time if they want to get to where they want to be.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody needs to do that in Cleveland even more.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's a brand new offensive line who knows playing quarterback, right?
- 44:16[SPEAKER_02]: Quint John Judge and Harold Vinod Jr. were extremely promising.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_02]: They both need to take that leap.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_02]: You think you have good passcatchers.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_02]: They probably do, especially compared to last year.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we sat here and were speculating about Deonte Johnson started like, oh, God, he didn't even make it.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_02]: Every, like, I think everything's gotten better.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_02]: My question is, much like a lot of teams, but can you all take the leap at the same time?
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: That's really hard to do.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm with you, especially in one year.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_02]: That's really hard to do.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_00]: This is one question that I like to ask, because,
- 44:43[SPEAKER_00]: because we're the browns, we don't get the benefit of the doubt.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_00]: How many times every single year there is always rookies at the one decision that we desperately need a receiver that is that can come in and get you 11, 1200 yards.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think it could be KC chips you own.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: Boom.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: Boom.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: So like if even the full loan, you get 1200 yards from KC, you get 600 from Denzo Boston with four touchdowns, you get 800, 900 yards from
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I don't know.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: I hope I was just I was just my question was more so is how can we under life 14th year of our lower 2026 for sure say the Cleveland Brown's offense.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you I think because it was that bad last year, right?
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: To say that again, but I think so it's more so that it was that bad last year than it is a for sure firm stop it.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's more so because I'm Chef Zay and I'm the most optimistic fan You know that's where I want to be as optimistic as you that's how I'm trying to I'm trying to get a piece of your your juice I mean Todd Mokin is the offensive guru that we all want.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: There is one thing the one thing that I think is kind of funny I when I talked to Jarvis Landry about the whole thing because Jarvis was on that same team with Todd Mokin when he was OC here He he he posed the question.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's like well if I I mentioned the guru thing.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's a easy and I'm like
- 46:02[SPEAKER_00]: What you mean, Jarvis, what you mean is he like what he was a he was a OC of 2019 on our roster what what kind of happened there so like maybe he's grown since then
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: But uh, you know, that is, that's the one thing that when a player that's been in his locker room, that's the one thing.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_00]: Other than that, bro, you can't take the hate or rhythm off, take the pessimists out of your blood for two seconds, take the brown and orange colors off of the jersey.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_00]: Just look at the look at it for face value.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_00]: You look at this and be like, there's no way they can be worse.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_00]: They, they fixed all the problems that what it was and that was the offense.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way they can be worse, that can be true.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_02]: And then the ceiling of we're being a little too optimistic with how good the offense can be, I think, and also be true.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's gotta be somewhere in the middle.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_02]: Unless, he truly is the quarterback whisperer and the Sean Walsh and steps in and looks like Houston Texans, the Sean Walsh.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_02]: And like that to me is the the only way unless Shadoris.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: Consistently great like he was at times last year.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think the only way fill.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate you joining talking browns We're gonna talk LeBron James still no decision yet next on the big Blakely with Joe Welcome back into the big play Cleveland show wouldn't be any Cleveland sports show right now We didn't talk about LeBron James there's a lot of discussion Miami golden state filly Cleveland It seems like those are the four teams there are some other ones that are thrown out Denver Minnesota I got to ask we still feel like LeBron James
- 47:23[SPEAKER_02]: is going to Cleveland.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_02]: You think Cleveland's the favorite I should say right now.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, all of this stuff would be it would be LeBron, but it also would feel like a low blow kick in the nuts from a girl that you really like.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's like this girl's like, oh, she's, oh, she broke up.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, she posts a picture of the club at the same club in Akron?
- 47:46[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, she just got a membership at my gym at the golf pool.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_00]: I just like, I got my chance.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, she told me whenever we break up on my half-disch chance, right?
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: And then he goes somewhere else because we're just the friends.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_00]: I like, it almost feels like we're in the friends zone, right now.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_00]: Can you pull us out of the friends zone because we need to get this championship ring?
- 48:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think anyone else is gonna do it here if that's not you with Ron.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I think he's still coming home.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_00]: But we did see that report right before the show that you said it's looking like gold estate could be the playlist and I will lose a tremendous amount of risk not that he gives a damn about my opinion, but I lose a lot of respect to the problem with the gold estate.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_02]: The report per Alex Schiffer, multiple Western conference executives expect the bronze James to sign with the Warriors.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_02]: Again, that's Western conference executives.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they're thinking worst case scenario here in that conference.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm with you.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_02]: I still think Cleveland is the destination.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I don't see anything about this.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like, stepping from those reports from everyone talking from everything.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody knows.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody actually knows.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone says they know.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody knows.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: stop.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 48:55[UNKNOWN]: I won't be.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_02]: I won't be.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_02]: I won't be.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_02]: I won't be.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_02]: I won't be.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_02]: I won't be.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_02]: I won't be.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_00]: I
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I just don't get his like what the thing is I still guess just like if you zoom out of it like why would golden state make sense outside the fact that he said before he wants to play with curry and that's it.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, it would be all the other thing.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_00]: So they've already said that he's prioritizing happiness first.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_00]: They already said that he's going to take pay cuts or whatever it is.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like you'd be okay with playing on like a minimum type of dealer, whatever it is.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: So that's already out the window.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_00]: You're going there because number one, you're going to be able to play as much golf as you want all year round.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_00]: You get to play with stuff, the greatest shooter in the history, and we all know the bronze never really had, I mean, he's had shooters, but he only had a staff shooter, right?
- 49:53[SPEAKER_00]: And then, oh, no, you've had Ray Allen.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Ray, let me, let me relax.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but you still get the market.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_00]: You still get the big market out there and California, like, all the happiness boxes are checked out there.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's what's scary about it.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_00]: But if you come home, like, there's no place like home.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're just overlooking Miami.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_00]: Miami makes a lot of sense, but there's one thing that I just, I think, Pat Riley would need to get on his knees, I think, because of the whole cookie incident.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_00]: And the power, like we know the brown wants his power, how much power is he gonna be able to have.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_00]: But in terms of the roster, I think if you were to tell the brown, what roster could he make the most out of, if the brown, I get yawness and bam, you've seen what I've done with all these other players.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care who you go get.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: And it sounds like Miami is also really really in on Clay Thompson, which helped that roster a lot.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, that would be that would be crazy.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_02]: It would be crazy, but there is.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Clay.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I start.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_02]: Bam, Janis.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and then Davey on Mitchell, point guard probably.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: Be a good team better than the Cavs though.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_00]: be scary.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think that team makes the most sense because LeBron doesn't have to be super.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if he comes to Cleveland, they're going to have to go get defensive guys immediately.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_00]: But if you go to Miami,
- 51:16[SPEAKER_00]: The defense of load that he's going to have to have is not going to be anywhere near his heavy as if he wasn't Cleveland or Golden State in my opinion, because of Yanis and because of BAM.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_01]: But also, I think, I mean, I'm not that the offensive side of the ball will always take as much rigor as the defensive end by any stretch of the imagination, but I also think that going to Cleveland, it would be the opposite would be easier offensively.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: Definitely anywhere else.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: Definitely.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: He would not.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_02]: If there are nights where LeBron doesn't need the ball on his hands, Cleveland gives him a way better chance than that.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's kind of what he wants to in a way.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think you want to like fuck.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: I have to go play up 20 and five on the heat every single day or 20 in the heat.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think he kind of secretly does want that because LeBron, I think wants to look back and be like, I average, what does he career average, 23 points per game or something like that?
- 52:01[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like he would
- 52:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's an analytical guy that cares about certain numbers like that.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_00]: But I also think that he's also a fan of fine tuning and perfecting.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like when you go through like, I've never played through oblivion games, but it isn't the elder scrolls of games, ones where you build up certain things and you master this.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then once you master this, you can develop another skill, master that skill.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think LeBron is at that point where he's Thanos looking for the stone.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_00]: his best attribute right is his basketball IQ pick what do you want to what do you want to be do you want to be a block guy do you want to be someone who is a transition guy do you want to be a three guy like if he could pick that and quite frankly if he could just mustard up and be like you know what I don't want to 20 points for game and just play defense could you imagine LeBron putting everything he's got on defense and then running the one like LeBron
- 52:55[SPEAKER_00]: gets to stop on the best player, transition bucket, he's throwing at 40 feet up the floor for a trade, like it'd be easy at that point, but I don't think his ego will allow that.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_02]: LeBron career points per game in the regular season 26.8 and 7.5 rebounds per game, 7.4 assists per game for anybody who, you know, may think LeBron's a playoff, follow or still, I don't know, people learn out there, averages go up in the playoffs as well.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_02]: She's a dog worth noting.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_02]: I do think there are a couple different pieces of criteria when you look at where LeBron could go though.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I think most importantly, obviously, as this happiness, I don't think anything can compare it to Cleveland.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: At least as we see it on the outside looking in of him coming home.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_02]: But then there's the competitiveness aspect.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_02]: Do we think the calves are the best team he could go to?
- 53:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think Philly might be better.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, shit.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_01]: I forgot Philly was in it.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_01]: Philly is like...
- 53:43[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of egos there.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_02]: Why shouldn't say a lot of egos?
- 53:45[SPEAKER_02]: But there's a lot of ball dominant people there.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_00]: Does LeBron feel like he can... Well, I mean, LeBron can make any player work, but...
- 53:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Joel and Beat and Jerry stuff is just...
- 53:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's too big of a variable.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like... No, without a doubt, probably the best team if he's healthy.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_00]: But he hasn't been healthy in his whole entire career.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, if you can find a way to bubble rap, Joel and Beat until the playoffs, kind of what they did this past year.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'd not, not bubble rap, but he missed a bunch of, missed a bunch of time.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: If you're a thing though, like if you're a broad and you're your biggest, hey, like I got to have a healthy team who I can have competing at the end of the year, Cleveland has to be the answer though, right?
- 54:26[SPEAKER_01]: I was gonna like, the Warriors are so old.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if any of those three, the Ham, Jimmy, whoever, like if staff like whoever goes down, they're in trouble.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: Crap ton of super stars.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_01]: They're all like none of them have injury issues like I can just a different world.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think he also liked.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to think back like former
- 54:46[SPEAKER_00]: LeBron James teams have always been deep right like every championship team has ever been on it's always been deep.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_00]: Is there a deeper roster than the calves?
- 54:56[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't know.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like the calves are pretty deep in terms of and I think that's where obviously when you get to the playoffs rotation shrink, which we saw this past year and we questioned it, but that's never been the case with the LeBron.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: We've seen delis we've seen
- 55:14[SPEAKER_00]: J. George Hills and Rodney Hills and all those other, you know, blows.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_01]: They were in Rodney Hood during the NBA Finals came out and said, yeah, I kind of don't like playing with LeBron.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: It was something like that.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_01]: And then he was traded by the very next off season.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, what was like a month later.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's say LeBron plays this year in next year.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say there's his last two years.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_02]: Over the next two years, which team gives LeBron the best chance to win a championship?
- 55:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think scabs.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_00]: the calves have been battle tested.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_00]: They are right in line for what the nicks have done the past few years.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_00]: Their window is either now or never.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_00]: So probably probably, but I think Philly is too because they're transitioning out of the process area.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_00]: And like, how good's edged coming to be?
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: And edged right now?
- 56:01[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_01]: How good's max you're going to be a year and a half from now?
- 56:04[SPEAKER_02]: The way things stand right now, let's say LeBron, I don't know, is in the Western Conference so we can just compare them to the East.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Philly could absolutely be the best team in the Eastern Conference.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't think it's crazy to, I would take the next over them.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's crazy to say that they could beat the next in a seven game series, though.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_02]: If they figure out a way to make it work with M.B., Maxi, J.L.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_02]: Brown, and then V.J.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_02]: Edge, come and do us take that next step.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's crazy to think that.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not at all and I do think that's part of it, too, is like, you know, like, forever, like, everyone's always gonna, oh, the Browns and the East, yep.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm signing in the West.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's almost like the reverse to that now where Lil Brown might be able to get the chance for okay.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_01]: Do I really want to try and go through the gauntlet of, and in that young, Lil steam, the spurtious ones of the finals, the Thunder, who won two years ago, like, or would you really go play in the East?
- 56:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_01]: Off that.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_01]: Why would he go to Golden State?
- 56:47[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_01]: I want one reason besides one and golf.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_01]: Low key would go to Death and Drainman.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's gotta be it.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_00]: you get LeBron, Ant-Man, and Frick and Rudy go bear as a defensive anchor.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_00]: They still got... Yellow Mellow.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_00]: They got a, they just, they're just traded for the Mellow, like LeBron with that team would be wild.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_00]: And what does that, what would that do for his legacy if he won in Minnesota?
- 57:11[SPEAKER_01]: Also what he wants to forward you to your old LeBron is going to stay in the NBA one more year to play basketball in Minnesota.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's not going to do that.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_01]: But that would be, like, if you talk about best teams, like...
- 57:21[SPEAKER_00]: You plug the brawn into that team, you know Anthony Edwards as the alpha dog there.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_00]: There's no question about it.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think your LeBron wants to win and he wants to go to the west he'd go to the nuggets.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, I think Joker.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_02]: Him and Yokeitch, Jamalm, are you soon Jamalm or he's there?
- 57:35[SPEAKER_02]: Elevator.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to play for the college basketball coach though.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of don't see that being a LeBron type move.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_01]: Not really.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_02]: Not actually.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_02]: LeBron, a lot of the places he's gone, minus Miami with Coach Spau, has had a lot of first year coaches or inextend.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_01]: That was an experience.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_01]: They've got to fire or he took on.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_01]: They took on.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_01]: They took on.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_01]: They took on.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_01]: We love that year one goes to the NBA finals of the head coach year two.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then it starts to season 37.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_01]: What was he like 37 and 37 like 15 or something like 15 or something like that?
- 58:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I also thought it was really interesting to listen to Kenny Ackinson talk about it so publicly at the summer league.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes you listen to Kenny Ackinson say stuff like this is awesome dude, just just no more, and then he just keep talking and talking and talking.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: But he seemed very optimistic and it seemed like it was very real that the calves are in on the brawn.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody knows it and they're doing what they can to make it happen.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_02]: I think he still comes back, but I do want to pose a hypothetical.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about a couple of weeks on here, a couple of weeks go on here.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_02]: If LeBron comes back to this
- 58:33[SPEAKER_02]: 2026 Cavs team and it's hard and Mitchell LeBron mobile out and you have the Depth They have seven games series that Cavs team against 2016 Cavs who wins and how many games 2016 is 268 Cavs will forever.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think that might just be pure bias But I also think it's realistic like they beat the greatest team ever so yeah that 2016 team I think what makes that 2016 team so special was that you got
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: all of the players to be not only content, but actually be superstars in the roles.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_00]: And that's very hard to do, especially when you have a guy like Kyrie who doesn't like to really, like the fact that you were able to get Kyrie,
- 59:18[SPEAKER_00]: to play a certain role and he'd be the best at the capacity, which is why we traded them because he didn't want to be in that role anymore.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like that says so much and I think when you look back, just from looking at this 2025 team with the Cavaliers, you looked at that and was like, man, they've got all the tools in the toolbox, but why doesn't it fit?
- 59:38[SPEAKER_00]: Why, why, why, why,
- 59:39[SPEAKER_00]: isn't it like synchronizing the way that it should?
- 59:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think that togetherness team in seven game series championship settings, all of those factors matter, and I think that 2016 team was built as good as you could possibly build it.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like when you go back, I have a 2008 RV right now.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_00]: We were trying to take out some of the cabinets and stuff, and my brother-in-law was like, he's like, man, whoever did this, they did two good of a job, because you're so hard to take everything out.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_00]: old materials are all better than the new materials nowadays and I think that 2016 is built with some of that prime good materials that you just can't get in today's world.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_00]: How many games do you think they went in?
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_00]: Probably six.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_00]: What are you saying?
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_00]: I can even give them five.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's tough for me.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_01]: I actually do think this new team with LeBron would be the better team.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_01]: But I would still take 2016 in a seven game series just because I think 32
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_01]: would do unspeakable things to 42 year old of Ron when he has the basketball in his hands like I think he could drop whatever whatever you don't can all people live 42.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_01]: No I know but I'm just saying like I don't know if how much he's keeping up with his younger self you know I think I just just like anyone would you know what's funny in 2016 wins about the 2016 LeBron 2016 in
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_01]: seven don't finally has this playoff series.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_02]: I also think this 20 2016 would hunt matchups like you would not believe with Kyrie and who played the two J.R. Smith, whoever would start it with somebody or club or whoever though.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_02]: But it's it's hard in her Mitchell hunting.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's like whoever who's going to get the switch on Kyrie.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go to work.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's fine.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_00]: Ivy.
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I don't know, we watch Delhi chase stuff around and he barely averaged 20 in that finals and that was and that was when Steph shot 4331 season.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but that that's a guy.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_02]: So it's it's going to be let's say a guy.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_02]: Let's jump.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_00]: Shump was our best defender.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_02]: They are going to take Thai Kyrie Irving off the floor like that to me when Kyrie's out there they're going to hunt matchups for sure.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_00]: LeBron, LeBron, Tristan, are a love and Tristan.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right?
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_00]: So Tristan, it can switch on to Tristan switched all the time.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_00]: What's the matchup that you're worried about?
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_00]: You said hardening?
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say, Kyrie Irving, whether he has to guard James Harden one on one or Donvin Mitchell one on one.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_02]: That presents problems.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm with you, I think the 2016 Cavs win.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_02]: It probably, I'm gonna say five games because I think that difference in LeBron's age, plus I think Kyrie Irving will be the second best player in the series.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_02]: That's enough for me.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's enough for me.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_00]: He was the first best at time.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_02]: like that's enough for me.
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even see.
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_02]: I also think you look at the benches.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's comparable, but I would probably feel more comfortable with the 2016 Bench J.R. Smith, Richard Jefferson, Channing Fry, and then whoever you know, whoever's playing the two, then Matt and Wiches.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_01]: Sam Meryl and T-Shutter.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I just want, like maybe the calves, 20, 20, 26 calves, get a game, maybe two, probably a game, because Don and Mitchell is 40, because I don't
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, okay.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_00]: That that 2016 Cavalier team didn't lose a game until the final.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_00]: I hope we remember that, right?
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_00]: Wasn't that the year or was that the 2015 year?
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was a year before because I swapped the hocks in the conference finals.
- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_00]: I know they went one year where they lost zero games until the finals.
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_00]: And it was either that 2016 season or that 2015 mining.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_00]: One over more.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_00]: How old were you in that happened?
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_00]: 2016.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_01]: I was go at when the calves won the title.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_01]: I was going into my freshman year of high school.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_00]: Peak.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_01]: Summer.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_01]: Summer.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_01]: That was the summer.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_02]: Well, regardless, next time we're on this show, I don't think it's crazy to say LeBron James may not even have a decision.
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_02]: Still, we'll keep you posted that we're going to take a break.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_02]: Talk guards up next.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back to the Big Play Cleveland Show.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna finish up talking some guards and all start game here.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously heading into the All-Star Break, the Tread Deadline, fast approaching.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_02]: Guardians are tied for the lead in the AL Central.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_02]: Again, this past month or so without Jose Ramirez, I was actually talking about that about this yesterday.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_02]: So the Guardians keep winning.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_02]: They're staying towards the top of the division.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, yeah, they're doing this without Jose Ramirez, and you have no idea.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's how good I think they're playing without him.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_02]: But deadline is approaching.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm not going to say what do you come on you can the deadline is approaching jack.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think they should be buyers at this deadline?
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think we absolutely should be buyers of this deadline.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_01]: And that's partially a product of where you're at as a ball club at this point in time.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's partially a product of Jose Ramirez agent.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's partially a product of the fact that you might be in one of the worst divisions of all time.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I think this is going to be a total arms race of four or the five teams excluding the Kansas City Royals down to probably the end.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think that it wouldn't be crazy to think that maybe the super young white socks do fall off a little bit at some point in time.
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's really hard to keep a ball club stable over six months, especially once as young as they are.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think you absolutely have two buyers.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's trade-out line.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_00]: Now, when you say buyers of the trade deadline, now I'm no baseball guy, but there was one trade that I vividly remember that not only were we excited for, but it definitely helped us in our world series run.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I think we all know when it was Miller time, it was a damn good time in the city of Cleveland.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_00]: What type of buyer should they be?
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_00]: Do they need something in the bullpen?
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_00]: Do they need pitching?
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_00]: Do they need bats?
- 1:05:07[SPEAKER_00]: What are you targeting?
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think that Andrew Miller actually would be like, Yeah, I feel like if we had streamer looting fortnight, we could have had this applied drop come down.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_01]: It would be for a massive left-handed reliever who can throw a slider that ends up in the right-handed batters box.
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think that might.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_01]: be my number one need.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_01]: Tim Heron had a bit of an outsheel last week and he'll be out for a couple months now.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_01]: He took a ball off the arm last week, so hopefully Tim Heron's okay.
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_01]: Eric Sabrowski has not quite been the same as he was the first two months of the year, really.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that a left handed reliever specifically is a really big need for the back half of that bullpen.
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_01]: So hey, you were right there with the Andrew Miller comp.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_01]: And then the
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I, I, I think that it's going to have to be a right-handed-hitting power-bat is the other thing that you go out and get.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not too convinced, especially as our boys Steven Clons starts to pick it up a little bit here over the last month or not even month or so two or three weeks that I don't know if they go out and get an outfield there.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_01]: I still think the clearest upgrade probably would come in that D.A.
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_01]: tro, so I would anticipate a right-handed hitter.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the fun thing on the internet that everyone's been saying, everyone knows that the mats are awful.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know, and Francisco Lindor do not like each other.
- 1:06:21[SPEAKER_01]: It appears, will we go out and try and get Lindor?
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's probably not realistic, but I think that like the ideal world where you could throw him at short move.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, what should be all star-bry and rookie over the second base in Bazanada?
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_01]: The outfield probably is your perfect world because I would know if Travis Bazanada is a defensive second baseman.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think that would be so cool.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_00]: would be the perfect example of the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_00]: He got to experience that other grass while I know his pockets are extra fat, but that grass was a little brown over there.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I think there was a, I don't remember if it wasn't all the others pooping the grass.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but then he have some say where he like he would have gone back and he loves Cleveland.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like didn't he mentioned Cleveland in the recent year or something like that?
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so because had he would have been in my lock screen on my phone, I'm gonna have to do some research.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he did it at some point in time, but I know he definitely was pretty well received when they came back two years ago, it would have been now the match to do come here and about a little under a month, I think I want to say so we will see Frankie before the deadline.
- 1:07:27[SPEAKER_01]: What would you want more?
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_00]: Kyrie and Brian back together, or Hose and Francisville Lindor.
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_01]: We did put the sound in the big place, socials a couple of days ago.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_01]: So I did cast my vote already as if I was a driver, Zay, you know me.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a bass bass fan.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_01]: The things I would do for that last time, the infield of Hose and Frankie do have never been broken up.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, and also it's like two of the best switchheaders of this century being in the same line up together again.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_01]: Like, how many of the expands you're lining up?
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_01]: I would do.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_01]: I would trade anyone to go get it.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, anyone whose name is not Jose Ramirez is available if you're in a trade that invulnerance of school indoor.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, my, hey, my, my friscisco indoor jersey just collected dust in that closet.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if they're back out again, you know, let's say there are no big moves made.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_02]: Jose Ramirez is back.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say two weeks ceiling of this team, no big moves made prior to the deadline.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_01]: So if the big move is getting hoses and the L Martinez back, the classic, the Dolan classic, if you will.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_01]: Gosh, the ceiling is I think this team can make the ALCS not unlike some of their predecessors, the last decade or so.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think the more realistic is probably you end up in that wildcard series, that best to I3 and you hope the dice rolls your way and you go to the ALD as I think it's.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_01]: kind of asked and I'm to predict a three game series two and a half months.
- 1:08:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah against an opponent.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_01]: You don't know, but I think you're probably more realistic looking at like a first maybe second round, but I think you could reach the LCS.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_01]: I do not think just spite how weak the American league is this team could reach the world series.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_02]: What if they got the left handed reliever and the righty power bed?
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_01]: if you get a left-handed reliever and we'll say you bring in like uh... nothing crazy offentally a jake burger you're just just your just your filler right-handed hitting first basement d-h-u maybe can give you 20 homeruns or so or that kind of a 20 homerun bat
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're sealing is one and a half out of ten times you win that ALCS.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_01]: The world series and lose.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think to to to make this a world series ball club.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're looking at that lefty reliever.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're looking at adding like a sunny gray type of starter.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I think you're adding like a
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_00]: Ridiculous you are going for that like stratosphere type of Yeah, I think your three things away from a world series aren't these the type of seasons though We're the former Indians now guards always shatter expectations though like there's no expectation for them to be Like you know like you said they're to do anything massive in the playoffs.
- 1:09:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I think also
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_01]: the other side of that coin is how many years in a row can we be the cute little lucky underdogs for the youngest.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_01]: But maybe that's a lot of our team though.
- 1:10:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but if we do that for we, I'm not doing that for the next 20 years, I want to win at some point.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and I do you don't want to be the Steelers.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Are the, are the Guardians the Steelers of the M.O.B.
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think we've talked about that.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_01]: I did play programming a few times because I think they would really might be the, that's crazy.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just just wanted to compare.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_00]: So you're a spoiled little Brett is what you're saying.
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_01]: No, because the stealer got that wrong.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's what your difference.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_01]: Huh?
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_01]: It has been since night.
- 1:10:30[SPEAKER_01]: We were two thin nail going up against the Germans, Japanese, and I forget the third Axis power, right?
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's been a long morning.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, the last time you went to World Series.
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I wouldn't say that I'm spoiled.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_02]: What is the worst thing they could do with the deadline?
- 1:10:48[SPEAKER_02]: Whether it's staying still or, I mean,
- 1:10:51[SPEAKER_01]: The worst thing I think if I start to fall apart, we're like, we've got to try to turn somebody away.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's staying still.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think so.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's being idle.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, even if you're in a world where say, hey, say you don't win a game between now and the All Star Break, that's when you got to sell.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, like, you sell there, fine.
- 1:11:07[SPEAKER_01]: You, you have to firmly jump in a boat via the buy or the sell.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like likely going to be the buy obviously based off where you're on the standings.
- 1:11:14[SPEAKER_01]: You can't just sit still.
- 1:11:15[SPEAKER_01]: It can't be like a,
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, let's go trade Cody Huffer some mid-bad like you have to go out and put your put ten toes on the ground and do something in the deadline Like what if like what why can't we just get Jose to just come out and say hey go make a trade you know like you know like what
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_01]: If you think they dolons would be like, if they had a whole way like that, that video came out from before last season where Jose in the video of the podcast and the DR, he's like, yeah, like I took this pay cut assuming they were going to go spend the money they were going to give me on a roster.
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_01]: they kind of didn't do that like I mean he saw I'm guessing that and again I don't I don't know Jose Ramirez I'm only speculating here like I'm sure internally internally at some point in time he's been like hey like could can we either crap or get off the pot here you know I'm sure of that and conversations come up which I think is a super super fair question asked for some of you this is joke on the big click live
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_00]: You definitely were told that as a kid plenty of time.
- 1:12:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's a clip that, well I clip it, but clip that.
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_02]: Well, after the All Star Break, the guards are back at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
- 1:12:25[SPEAKER_02]: I looked, I don't know if Paul schemes will be on the Hill any of those days, but Friday dollar dog night, fan and fireworks, and two dollar pre-game, so also Wargate, oh, they are the band.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_02]: Not sure if you guys really are.
- 1:12:36[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, really?
- 1:12:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like a throwing.
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's a band.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_02]: I guess there's a...
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're doing the anthem, the special firework show, and then also the war.
- 1:12:44[SPEAKER_02]: So I looked it up.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_02]: I can't remember the name of the first song, but the most popular song, they're very recognizable.
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_02]: You can look it up if you want.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_02]: But the next day, Saturday, do you remember a bullet day later?
- 1:12:55[SPEAKER_02]: through $3 game in the district, Jose Romero's Campshire giveaway, and then it's Margaritaville Day, so you can buy a separate ticket, I guess, to get a Margaritaville straw hat, which is why saw that in an Instagram.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_01]: What day is this?
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_01]: Those things are dope.
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_02]: They look cool, that's Saturday.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_02]: What day is it?
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_00]: What day is Saturday?
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_02]: Saturday, 25th.
- 1:13:13[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this Saturday, 18th.
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_02]: And then I guess there's a separate Ohio University Bobblehead you can buy with a set of tickets to get us.
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_02]: And then Sunday, kids' fun day, kids run the bases.
- 1:13:20[SPEAKER_02]: And then they're home again against the twins.
- 1:13:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what is the 23rd of the line?
- 1:13:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think.
- 1:13:25[SPEAKER_02]: Christmas and yeah, Christmas and July on Monday, there's a separate take required for it, but there's also a slider snow globe.
- 1:13:33[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, you're gonna say something Christmas in July.
- 1:13:35[SPEAKER_01]: They're Christmas in July game.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_01]: They roll out the Christmas ails in the corner.
- 1:13:40[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my goodness.
- 1:13:40[SPEAKER_01]: It gets ugly.
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 1:13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 1:13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 1:13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Monday this year.
- 1:13:43[SPEAKER_01]: It gets it.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_01]: That ballpark gets gets.
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a browns game.
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_01]: Then Tuesday you make sure you go Monday.
- 1:13:50[SPEAKER_02]: Tuesday disability pride celebration with a disability pride cap as well.
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_02]: A separate ticket choir for that.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_02]: And then
- 1:13:56[SPEAKER_02]: Wednesday, Thursday, they're at home and then back the next week, following Friday at home against the dime.
- 1:14:01[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing going on that Thursday.
- 1:14:03[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, it doesn't look like it at least.
- 1:14:04[SPEAKER_00]: My birthday, they could have put it on there.
- 1:14:06[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, really?
- 1:14:07[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, birthday is on the 23rd.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_02]: Well, happy, happy early birthday.
- 1:14:10[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to talk all star game home run Derby up next after a quick break.
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back on into the Big Play Cleveland show presented by our friends over at Fandle.

- 1:14:56[SPEAKER_01]: My reset, Chef Zay, not too much real sports going on.
- 1:15:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's SP's week as we all know where we're in the middle of the
- 1:15:03[SPEAKER_01]: Bubba, Bubba, where are real sports?
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_01]: We have the MLB all-star game to fill our fix in the meantime.
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_01]: Home run derby was last night.
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you caught it all day.
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_01]: It was electric, Jordan Walker.
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_01]: Had to hit six bombs to end the night to stay alive.
- 1:15:17[SPEAKER_01]: Did all six to send the Philly crowd home upset.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_01]: First question for you though.
- 1:15:21[SPEAKER_01]: If you could take one Cleveland athlete, not a baseball player though, can be present, past, anything in between.
- 1:15:28[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I guess it really would only be present in your past.
- 1:15:30[SPEAKER_01]: Now that I think about it more,
- 1:15:32[SPEAKER_01]: Who would you take to win a homerun derby?
- 1:15:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's not a baseball player.
- 1:15:35[SPEAKER_00]: Can't be a baseball player.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_00]: Who?
- 1:15:38[SPEAKER_00]: OK. A former Cleveland.
- 1:15:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm a pass on the damage.
- 1:15:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a pass on the match.
- 1:15:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think I feel like there'd be some, which I think is very good football guys that might look like they can swing.
- 1:15:55[SPEAKER_00]: One thing about football players, man, they do not look good swinging a baseball bat.
- 1:15:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think most...
- 1:16:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's an underrated take, I kind of like Greg Newsom, I only reason why I say that is because I watched him at the celebrity softball game this past year and the boy can play, the boy can swing a bat, he puts him out there, I don't think that's when I would, he would be on my,
- 1:16:23[SPEAKER_00]: My list.
- 1:16:24[SPEAKER_00]: Who would you pick?
- 1:16:25[SPEAKER_00]: Come back to me because I'm really basketball.
- 1:16:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty clean.
- 1:16:27[SPEAKER_01]: There's our quarterback and like he might be like through the football.
- 1:16:31[SPEAKER_01]: His arm like was like so big that he couldn't even like move his arm through the football.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_01]: See that.
- 1:16:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's got to be that guy.
- 1:16:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that guy's huge.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty cool.
- 1:16:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking Brady Quinn to go.
- 1:16:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oppo Taco out off where the progressive field car, the progressive car used to be in right center field.
- 1:16:48[SPEAKER_00]: No, I feel like we're missing somebody.
- 1:16:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like I feel like a
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like one of the, like a Steve Hayden, former tight end.
- 1:16:57[SPEAKER_00]: Number one, one of my shirts, Steve Browns, like Steve Steve, Steve Hayden, I mean, he's a tank, like Jim told me build that tight end.
- 1:17:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:17:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's fair, you gotta go to the, the told me build.
- 1:17:07[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm thinking, like a big, big macho guy, you know?
- 1:17:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, but it doesn't look macho, like farmer build, you know?
- 1:17:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:17:15[SPEAKER_01]: And what is your favorite Cleveland sports all-star moment?
- 1:17:18[SPEAKER_01]: Can be any sport?
- 1:17:19[SPEAKER_00]: I have one, 2004, this was right after the Kenny Lofton era.
- 1:17:26[SPEAKER_00]: We got a guy named Matt Lofton or Matt Lofton.
- 1:17:30[SPEAKER_00]: Matt Lofton.
- 1:17:31[SPEAKER_00]: He was my, he replaced my favorite player after Kenny Lofton was no longer with us.
- 1:17:38[SPEAKER_00]: And this was win the life.
- 1:17:39[SPEAKER_00]: This, well, not like that, but no honor with the team, I should say, and this was when the All-Star game I believe was in Cleveland, uh, 2004 because I went to the stadium and got Matt's autograph on the helmet and he signed it 2004 All-Star.
- 1:17:57[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so that's a pretty pretty.
- 1:17:59[SPEAKER_00]: I know it has anything to do with the game, but that moment just lives for me as a kid 2004 I was 11.
- 1:18:05[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so that was a memory for me.
- 1:18:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going 2019 when we hosted baseball I went to the homeowner.
- 1:18:10[SPEAKER_01]: It was actually the coolest thing I've ever been to.
- 1:18:12[SPEAKER_00]: I was so sick.
- 1:18:14[SPEAKER_00]: Who won that year?
- 1:18:15[SPEAKER_01]: That Peter Lanzo won, I want to say.
- 1:18:17[SPEAKER_01]: Was that the very, like, back to back?
- 1:18:18[SPEAKER_01]: But it was, like, Vladie Vladie won the night.
- 1:18:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if people were to put up their $27 runs that day.
- 1:18:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like he had a crazy, he had a crazy, crazy round.
- 1:18:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go with that all-star game, though, because it had the really cool moment.
- 1:18:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that was right after Carlos Crasco was diagnosed with cancer.
- 1:18:33[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:18:33[SPEAKER_01]: And like, they did, like, the stand-up to cancer.
- 1:18:36[SPEAKER_01]: Celebration, which they do every single year during the all-star game.
- 1:18:39[SPEAKER_01]: But like, everyone had their things up for cookie.
- 1:18:41[SPEAKER_01]: And that was 2019.
- 1:18:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:18:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then Shane Bieber, who I want to say.
- 1:18:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if Bieber was a rookie or if he was in his second year, but he came and struck out the side.
- 1:18:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think Bieber got.
- 1:18:52[SPEAKER_01]: He won MVP.
- 1:18:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:18:53[SPEAKER_01]: All star game MVP.
- 1:18:54[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to go with that one.
- 1:18:56[SPEAKER_01]: Zay, any final thoughts on this year's All Star game?
- 1:18:59[SPEAKER_01]: Are you expecting a Travis Puzzon a hit or a park or a massive strikeout, which is more likely?
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is going to be one of those fun ones for some reason.
- 1:19:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking back at the history.
- 1:19:08[SPEAKER_00]: I see the overunder, Fando has it at eight right now.
- 1:19:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think they've got it right on the money.
- 1:19:14[SPEAKER_00]: But I think an over here feels real, feels real good.
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_00]: They've only gone over eight one time.
- 1:19:21[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like since 2019 and that was last year, six seven.
- 1:19:27[SPEAKER_00]: What's the score?
- 1:19:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no.
- 1:19:32[SPEAKER_00]: but uh... i do i do think that um... basano it kind of made it kind of feels like number one overall pick made it you know like there's got to be something there right whether it's a catcher something's a little bit of a little bit of a cool moment that's not to go alter with it a.l.
- 1:19:47[SPEAKER_01]: money line i think you're just got you got to write it's your your cut your league got not a conference at your league so
- 1:19:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
- 1:19:53[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure to tune in and they'll be all-star game 8 o'clock tonight.
- 1:19:56[SPEAKER_01]: Check out Bizana, Mastic, all the boys.
- 1:19:58[SPEAKER_01]: And make sure you come back here tomorrow at noon for Big Split Cleveland Live.
