- 0:00Speaker 1: Worst crypto crash in history. Today, we'll break it down
- 0:02Speaker 1: for you. It's going to be a good one. Let's
- 0:04Speaker 1: just jump right in. I do want to thank our
- 0:05Speaker 1: sponsor today and that is Uphold. This is where you
- 0:08Speaker 1: can start to buy these dips. One way to do that,
- 0:10Speaker 1: of course, is using our link down below. You get
- 0:13Speaker 1: into all sorts of things including staking rewards over at Uphold,
- 0:17Speaker 1: along with three hundred plus assets. And you get another thing,
- 0:21Speaker 1: which of course is access to new tokens over there.
- 0:23Speaker 1: So that is one thing you can do. But you
- 0:25Speaker 1: can add some stuff to that, and that is get
- 0:28Speaker 1: the Uphold debit card. Just by clicking that link right there,
- 0:31Speaker 1: it's going to take you over to the Uphold debit
- 0:33Speaker 1: card and you get XRP rewards with it. Use our
- 0:36Speaker 1: link down below to get started and using Uphold. Let's
- 0:40Speaker 1: get into a couple of points I want to hit
- 0:41Speaker 1: on today. So when you look at the fear and
- 0:44Speaker 1: greed right over there on coin market Cap, I'm looking
- 0:47Speaker 1: at the eleven twenty one day now. This was during
- 0:50Speaker 1: the last government shutdown that we had. It is very
- 0:54Speaker 1: possible we could be nearing that same issue again. Government shutdown.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Crypto has been taking the brunt of this. If you
- 1:00Speaker 1: look at the shutdown in itself right now, it's kind
- 1:03Speaker 1: of pointing at four days. I think maybe we're going
- 1:05Speaker 1: to hover somewhere around the six day mark. Let me
- 1:08Speaker 1: know in the comments how long you think this is
- 1:10Speaker 1: going to run. Will be longer than a week or
- 1:12Speaker 1: inside a week. Just hit some comments down down there.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Let me get into the lineup of all things that
- 1:19Speaker 1: happened just over the last week, and this is a
- 1:21Speaker 1: big list. Monday we had the rustle two thousand fell sharply. Tuesday,
- 1:25Speaker 1: the dollar index DIXIE went to its multi year low.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Wednesday the SMP sold off, then of course Thursday Nasdaq dump,
- 1:33Speaker 1: and then of course we saw the liquidation from you
- 1:36Speaker 1: know where gold and silver crash and that was a
- 1:40Speaker 1: huge one. And then of course Saturday, Big one eat
- 1:42Speaker 1: sold off again. This is all looking at the government shutdown,
- 1:46Speaker 1: along with other pressures that are applied here into the
- 1:49Speaker 1: markets in general, other things that are kind of going
- 1:52Speaker 1: into this. If you look at the amount of liquidations
- 1:55Speaker 1: right now on total crypto five billion over the last
- 1:58Speaker 1: four days, making the largest wave of liquidation since the
- 2:02Speaker 1: last time we had a major one, which was ten
- 2:05Speaker 1: ten the fabricated liquidation that still haunts us to this day.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Other things you got to look at is how long
- 2:11Speaker 1: is this government shutdown going to last? Well, Mike Johnson's
- 2:14Speaker 1: out schmoozing, but he should be trying to fix the
- 2:17Speaker 1: government's shutdown. And I've got a clip for you. Take
- 2:19Speaker 1: a look.
- 2:20Speaker 2: After the Senate acted over the weekend, we will now
- 2:23Speaker 2: have eleven of twelve separate appropriations bills approved by both chambers.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Because they modified our package, they've sent it over a
- 2:31Speaker 2: little differently, which means we've got to address the bills again.
- 2:34Speaker 2: So they're going to separate the Department of the Homeland
- 2:36Speaker 2: Security bill. Our intention is by two all agencies of
- 2:40Speaker 2: the federal government except for that one, and then we'll
- 2:42Speaker 2: have two weeks of good faith negotiations to figure it out.
- 2:45Speaker 3: And just bottom line, you think you have enough Republican
- 2:48Speaker 3: votes to reopen the government by Tuesday?
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yeah, because Republicans are going to do the responsible thing
- 2:54Speaker 2: and fund the government. They're playing a margin.
- 2:57Speaker 1: That's what I'm going to have.
- 2:58Speaker 2: One vote margin yes through twenty twenty six.
- 3:02Speaker 1: All Right, we'll see if Tuesday is the day. A
- 3:05Speaker 1: lot of that it's even though it's a partial opening.
- 3:07Speaker 1: The point will be is that the government will get
- 3:09Speaker 1: back into session again. Many people still thinking that gold
- 3:14Speaker 1: and silver are what continuing to cause this market crash.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Right here lost ten trillion in three days. Crypto has
- 3:20Speaker 1: wiped out four to thirty billion in four days. No
- 3:23Speaker 1: obvious catalystsa other than a couple of things. Remember we
- 3:26Speaker 1: had a FED chair change and that of course when
- 3:28Speaker 1: I say change being announced, remember that Warsh is one
- 3:33Speaker 1: of those that I think a lot of people thought
- 3:35Speaker 1: maybe he was going to be a little bit more hawkish.
- 3:39Speaker 1: The real question is has he and Trump actually got
- 3:43Speaker 1: a deal put together for cutting rates? I just don't know.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Here's a clip that kind of talks about whether he
- 3:49Speaker 1: is a hawk or not. Take a look.
- 3:52Speaker 3: He's a known entity.
- 3:53Speaker 4: You've probably had some conversations I'm guessing over the years
- 3:55Speaker 4: with Kevin Walsh's Is he a hawk or a dove?
- 3:57Speaker 4: I keep seeing the word reinvented the styling.
- 4:01Speaker 3: You got it exactly right. This is what troubles me
- 4:03Speaker 3: about him for fifteen years. The man has been a
- 4:08Speaker 3: hawk back you remember he's been on the FED before,
- 4:11Speaker 3: back during the two thousand and eight crash when millions
- 4:14Speaker 3: of people were losing their jobs, and economists were across
- 4:17Speaker 3: the country were saying, lower those interest rates. He was
- 4:20Speaker 3: the guy who kept sack, where's the interest rates? Keep
- 4:23Speaker 3: them up? He has been known as an interst rate
- 4:27Speaker 3: and inflation hawk for years and years, right up until
- 4:34Speaker 3: Donald Trump wins the presidency makes clear that he wants
- 4:37Speaker 3: a Federal Reserve chair who's going to lower interest rates.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Since suddenly it appears that when Warsh has had an
- 4:45Speaker 3: epiphany and everything he thought in all those years beforehand,
- 4:49Speaker 3: he no longer thinks. Now you know what that says
- 4:51Speaker 3: to me, says to me that the guy is not independent,
- 4:55Speaker 3: that he is willing to do whatever Donald Trump wants.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Well, let's find out, because as we watch Kevin Walsh
- 5:03Speaker 1: roll into the confirmation next phase that I think is
- 5:07Speaker 1: going to have a major effect on Fed fund rates
- 5:10Speaker 1: and maybe the outlook going forward. Remember Chairpal goes up
- 5:13Speaker 1: until June May June, so he's going to get two
- 5:17Speaker 1: more Fed meetings, and then of course we'll see Wsh
- 5:19Speaker 1: potentially get in there, maybe in the summer. That of
- 5:21Speaker 1: course could be timing around inflation still peeling off. Remember
- 5:25Speaker 1: two trueflation went under one percent for the first time
- 5:29Speaker 1: out of there, even though we had core PPI core
- 5:31Speaker 1: and PPI rising, which is kind of a lagging indicator
- 5:35Speaker 1: out of inflation, and that is one of the key
- 5:37Speaker 1: cornerstones that of course the FED has to deal with.
- 5:40Speaker 1: If you look at what Raoul Palell has said, he says,
- 5:42Speaker 1: the last time the government shut down, yes, the market
- 5:44Speaker 1: did exactly what it's doing right now, which is imploding.
- 5:48Speaker 1: And until we start to see more liquidity, I think
- 5:51Speaker 1: he is exactly right. This is still going to be
- 5:55Speaker 1: ugly over the next few days weeks as things going,
- 5:58Speaker 1: and I think again there is a little bit of
- 6:01Speaker 1: a morale problem right now in crypto. I think that
- 6:04Speaker 1: this is We've seen this in many of the people
- 6:06Speaker 1: we've interviewed, but I think everybody is pointing to two things. One,
- 6:10Speaker 1: the outlook for the FED in two is clearly going
- 6:13Speaker 1: to be the Clarity Act. There is some science though
- 6:15Speaker 1: coming out of DC that shows maybe there is going
- 6:19Speaker 1: to be a little bit more maybe a little bit
- 6:21Speaker 1: more flexibility coming out of Clarity. I'm not saying anything new,
- 6:24Speaker 1: but watch for some announcements this week other things I
- 6:27Speaker 1: want to get to just to show you guys, remember
- 6:30Speaker 1: this was the last time we had that major shutdown,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and that was back in November. Let's see how far
- 6:36Speaker 1: the market dipped on that point right there, if you
- 6:38Speaker 1: go to where it was mainly coming right down to
- 6:42Speaker 1: almost twenty one percent during that timeframe, went sideways from there.
- 6:47Speaker 1: So it still is going to be one of those
- 6:49Speaker 1: things unless we get a market catalyst to where we
- 6:52Speaker 1: could see a lot of sideways action in the market
- 6:55Speaker 1: in general. Now, there are some other things going on
- 6:57Speaker 1: that could possibly move more more pain into the market. Blackrock,
- 7:01Speaker 1: of course, is shifting in a six hundred million crypto
- 7:04Speaker 1: to coinbase. It's likely we're going to see some more
- 7:06Speaker 1: sell us, including both bitcoin and ethereum, and this is
- 7:10Speaker 1: happening as we speak. Another thing you got to look at,
- 7:14Speaker 1: of course, is this wipeout on gold and silver. Does
- 7:16Speaker 1: it continue? Is there real question? Let me know if
- 7:19Speaker 1: you guys think gold has leveled out and silver has
- 7:22Speaker 1: leveled out, or are we going to see this completely
- 7:25Speaker 1: retrace in excess of twenty percent for gold and silver?
- 7:29Speaker 1: How does this look in just the coming weeks. Let
- 7:32Speaker 1: me know what you guys think. Down below. I want
- 7:34Speaker 1: to go to a clip real quick because this one
- 7:36Speaker 1: we'll get into a little bit more detail on what
- 7:38Speaker 1: is next for metals. Take a look.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Price sanction metals, Where does it go next?
- 7:46Speaker 4: In literally trillion dollar question because we're kind of at
- 7:48Speaker 4: this spinover stage. Obviously those that's the class themselves aren't
- 7:52Speaker 4: going to have that big losses. But what's interesting is
- 7:54Speaker 4: that the pain that we're seeing, particularly in silver at
- 7:57Speaker 4: the end of the last week, but also gold, was
- 7:59Speaker 4: very much kind of retail focused, and that's why generally
- 8:02Speaker 4: where you're seeing most of the pain everywhere across asset
- 8:05Speaker 4: market at the moment is retail focused. It is the
- 8:07Speaker 4: obvious tech names, it's in crypto. I think if gold
- 8:11Speaker 4: kind of finishes ten percent down again today where it
- 8:14Speaker 4: has kind of traded down to those lows, I think
- 8:17Speaker 4: that's going to be really really problematic. And then the
- 8:20Speaker 4: other bit is then leading into the tech space. As
- 8:22Speaker 4: we know, the big underlying theme of everything over that
- 8:25Speaker 4: you know, the last year or the last couple of years,
- 8:26Speaker 4: is the AI theme. And we've talked a lot about
- 8:29Speaker 4: how we believe we're in the expansion phase of that
- 8:31Speaker 4: CAPEX bubble and therefore that's the ultimately a bullish tailwind.
- 8:35Speaker 4: But traders momentum, traders have taken it too far in
- 8:37Speaker 4: the short term, and it looks like it might get
- 8:39Speaker 4: quite a bit worse. But with wild treasuries or wild rates,
- 8:42Speaker 4: markets and effects stay a little bit more contained. There
- 8:45Speaker 4: is hope that this may not spial much more. But
- 8:48Speaker 4: certainly we're on ten to.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Hooks right now.
- 8:50Speaker 4: All right.
- 8:50Speaker 1: That's Mark Cudmore. I like him. He's usually fairly level headed.
- 8:54Speaker 1: But however, if you look at silver, he is exactly right.
- 8:58Speaker 1: This is currently trading around eighty bucks as well. Film
- 9:00Speaker 1: right now. If you look at gold, holding it around
- 9:03Speaker 1: forty six, but defending, and of course we've got some
- 9:06Speaker 1: big nasty wicks. This I think is going to be
- 9:09Speaker 1: the end of this rally for metals. Now do we
- 9:11Speaker 1: get a rotation that's the real question, because if you
- 9:14Speaker 1: look at rotation opportunities, this could go into stable coins.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Remember still getting yields out there for now, and some
- 9:20Speaker 1: of these yields are still fairly good because it's been
- 9:23Speaker 1: higher for longer at the FED, so we are still
- 9:25Speaker 1: continuing to see that. Another thing I want to get
- 9:28Speaker 1: to is Tom Lee. Now, remember this is and I think,
- 9:32Speaker 1: one of the historical great investors of our time. However,
- 9:38Speaker 1: this may be a very interesting time for Tom Lee
- 9:41Speaker 1: and bitmind. Here's him talking about the bottom or not.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Take a look, did you use the word speed, bones
- 9:49Speaker 2: or volatility?
- 9:50Speaker 3: Is this worse than you expected?
- 9:53Speaker 4: Well?
- 9:53Speaker 5: And parts of it have been much worse, Like you
- 9:55Speaker 5: know how, I think the crypto market has taken it
- 9:59Speaker 5: much worse than we expec why.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I think part of it.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Is that crypto industry doesn't have any leverage right now.
- 10:07Speaker 5: It sort of delevered in October and now when we
- 10:12Speaker 5: have gold and silver doing so well, especially at the
- 10:14Speaker 5: start of the year that created fomo.
- 10:17Speaker 2: The consensus now is for the geoped lose the House,
- 10:22Speaker 2: and that is not necessarily a negative.
- 10:25Speaker 5: I think one of the things that we're seeing, of
- 10:27Speaker 5: course this year, is the White House is deliberately picking
- 10:31Speaker 5: more winters and losers early, I think because of the midterms.
- 10:34Speaker 5: In other words, there their agenda is front end loaded.
- 10:38Speaker 5: I'm going to say something that does It sounds a
- 10:40Speaker 5: little contrarian, but Tom Demark is our advisor at bitmin
- 10:45Speaker 5: in terms of crypto. He's been since mid November saying
- 10:50Speaker 5: bitcoin would go to seventy seven and ethereum of twenty
- 10:53Speaker 5: four hundred. So he's been waiting forward what he calls
- 10:57Speaker 5: time and price to align this weekend, and he believes
- 11:00Speaker 5: we reach that alignment. So all the pieces are in
- 11:03Speaker 5: place for crypto to be bottoming right now.
- 11:07Speaker 1: All right, So if Tom is right, and let's just
- 11:09Speaker 1: kind of point this out. If he is right and
- 11:12Speaker 1: his analyst was, and I remember we reported on that analyst,
- 11:15Speaker 1: he is exactly right twenty four hundred and seventy seven
- 11:18Speaker 1: hundred or seventy seven K on bitcoin. If he's right,
- 11:21Speaker 1: then this would be the bottom. The problem that I
- 11:25Speaker 1: think is the wrench right now in the whole system
- 11:28Speaker 1: is clarity. And until clarity is done in DC, this
- 11:31Speaker 1: will be the tell of whether or not crypto goes
- 11:35Speaker 1: into a deep bear market or because if we don't
- 11:39Speaker 1: get clarity through and we go into midterms, this could
- 11:42Speaker 1: be a lost season for sure. You look at bitmind,
- 11:45Speaker 1: this would be the worst thing that could happen to bitmind.
- 11:48Speaker 1: They are setting at six point six billion now on
- 11:52Speaker 1: track to become the fifth largest documented principle in terms
- 11:56Speaker 1: of loss in history. If you look at Wikipedia, this
- 11:59Speaker 1: goes back to a stellar list including Morgan, Stanley, JP,
- 12:03Speaker 1: Morgan Listen. I know those are big names, but The
- 12:05Speaker 1: point is is they've had some fairly extensive losses in
- 12:08Speaker 1: the past, this, of course, would be one of the
- 12:11Speaker 1: biggest ever. Further into this, Tom kind of went right
- 12:14Speaker 1: in on this. Bitmin provided an update on its Ethan
- 12:17Speaker 1: cash holdings, as they noted, there's zero debt, which is good,
- 12:20Speaker 1: but another four point three million in earning staking rewards,
- 12:23Speaker 1: which is another good thing at two point eight one,
- 12:25Speaker 1: even though he can earn more right now with stable coins,
- 12:28Speaker 1: and then five hundred and six million eighty six million
- 12:31Speaker 1: of cash earning money market yields, which is the three
- 12:33Speaker 1: five to three nine that's good. Company is built to
- 12:36Speaker 1: ride this out. I don't know if it is built
- 12:39Speaker 1: to ride this out if we continue to see more
- 12:43Speaker 1: pressure coming on ethereum, If we see Ethereum go under
- 12:47Speaker 1: that nineteen or excuse me, two thousand dollars mark, I
- 12:49Speaker 1: think that's the one that would be kind of a
- 12:51Speaker 1: no fly zone for bitminor Bitcoin of course slip below
- 12:54Speaker 1: masters average, just as another no fly zone seventy six
- 12:58Speaker 1: k for the first time the largest corporate hod now
- 13:00Speaker 1: setting in an unblended entry of seven hundred and twelve
- 13:04Speaker 1: thousand bitcoin, which are on the books right now, let
- 13:07Speaker 1: me know do you think micro strategy right now is
- 13:10Speaker 1: in trouble or could be in trouble long term. I
- 13:13Speaker 1: know a lot of people were talking about this. I've
- 13:15Speaker 1: been in many spaces over the last week. This has
- 13:18Speaker 1: been one of the biggest issues as Bitcoin has been
- 13:20Speaker 1: falling and continue your fall. Do you think that Master
- 13:24Speaker 1: is in trouble? Let me know in the comments down below.
- 13:26Speaker 1: This is a big one for sure. Last up, good
- 13:30Speaker 1: news is that the tariff situation starting to lighten up
- 13:34Speaker 1: a little bit. However, watch for another pivot, and I'm
- 13:38Speaker 1: concerned every time I see one of these things. Even
- 13:41Speaker 1: though Modi and Trump have come to an agreement now
- 13:43Speaker 1: which means the United States will go to zero and
- 13:46Speaker 1: will stop buying Russian oil and in return, the US
- 13:49Speaker 1: is going to reduce tariffs over to India to twenty
- 13:51Speaker 1: five and eighteen. This is a big deal because India
- 13:55Speaker 1: is the fourth largest power out there. When you think
- 13:58Speaker 1: about where we're going in the future of global power
- 14:02Speaker 1: and geopolitical stature, India one to watch for sure. So
- 14:06Speaker 1: the fact that we've got a deal over there is good.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Hong Kong also jumping in. They're planning to issue the
- 14:11Speaker 1: first stable coin license in March. This is a good
- 14:14Speaker 1: thing because I think with this, of course, only gets
- 14:16Speaker 1: more adoption in getting ready for the regulatory front that
- 14:19Speaker 1: I think the United States will lead if we can
- 14:23Speaker 1: get clarity through DC. This is a huge, huge time
- 14:27Speaker 1: right now. Trump is also going in and saying we
- 14:30Speaker 1: need a lot more minerals, So we're going in and
- 14:32Speaker 1: doing another twelve billion to cut China's reliance. This is
- 14:35Speaker 1: another position that Trump of course has been kind of
- 14:39Speaker 1: really lining up the United States to become much more
- 14:42Speaker 1: independent and away from what we've seen in the past,
- 14:46Speaker 1: which is a lot of interesting connections to for nations
- 14:49Speaker 1: around a lot of products and services like what we're
- 14:51Speaker 1: seeing with minerals. Last up here is President She of
- 14:55Speaker 1: course goes in and says, well, maybe the decade of
- 14:59Speaker 1: the dollar is now here. When I say the decade
- 15:02Speaker 1: of the dollar to fall, and they're going after it.
- 15:05Speaker 1: They're saying the yuon should become the global reserve currency.
- 15:09Speaker 1: You know, if you guys think that is the case,
- 15:11Speaker 1: do you think China should have the reserve currency or
- 15:13Speaker 1: do you think the dollar is going to stick around
- 15:15Speaker 1: longer and more powerful than ever? Drop it down below
- 15:20Speaker 1: We'll see how this is going to play out this week.
- 15:22Speaker 1: It is going to get interesting. If you like this video,
