- 0:23Speaker 1: your girls some love and like, comment, and subscribe.
- 0:27Speaker 3: I know we could be another way. It's a new
- 0:38Speaker 3: week at Just Ask the Podcast, the safe space where
- 0:40Speaker 3: transparency meets transformation. I'm your girl, Jessica S. Smith, and
- 0:44Speaker 3: I do nothing without my girl, Desiree. Hey.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Desiree. Hey. Desiree, Desiree, Desiree, Desiree, Desiree. The technology. Because
- 0:57Speaker 1: you have the second screen up. That ain't what it is. Yes,
- 1:00Speaker 1: it is. I've been learning. Have you? Yeah, so click
- 1:03Speaker 1: on it and then press the... Hold on. Oh, my gosh. Y'all,
- 1:09Speaker 1: I can't see. Go. Hey, y'all. And listen, this is
- 1:15Speaker 1: just what it is, okay? Okay, do I need to
- 1:19Speaker 1: do your theme song again?
- 1:20Speaker 3: You don't have to do it again, but hey, I'm
- 1:21Speaker 3: excited to be here. So guess what, Jessica?
- 1:24Speaker 1: So Jessica said, I'm learning. You don't know why she's learning? Because...
- 1:28Speaker 1: You want to tell them? I'll just tell them. Okay.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Jessica is the studio manager of BGTV, so.
- 1:36Speaker 1: So she's trying to get me to give her, okay? Yeah,
- 1:38Speaker 1: because I'm a manager.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Oh, okay. All right, all right, all right.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Because, you know, Desiree did not want to allow me
- 1:43Speaker 1: to learn. That's not true. Desiree, please stop lying to
- 1:48Speaker 1: these people. Don't tell the people.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Don't be storytelling to the people. I'm not telling no
- 1:51Speaker 3: story to the people. I'm telling you. Anytime I try
- 1:54Speaker 3: to say, okay, Desiree, what a light set. How do
- 1:57Speaker 3: I turn the lights on? The lights aren't just up there, ma'am.
- 2:01Speaker 3: The lights aren't just up in the sky. We have
- 2:03Speaker 3: floor lights. We have standing lights.
- 2:06Speaker 1: We have up lights. We have down lights.
- 2:08Speaker 3: She has come in here and turned stuff on before
- 2:11Speaker 3: I even got here.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Not everything I've missed of.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Okay. See, this is why I'm glad this episode is
- 2:18Speaker 3: talking about Just Ask, okay?
- 2:20Speaker 1: We're talking about just asking, all right?
- 2:23Speaker 3: Jessica, everybody asks Desiree, what is Just Ask?
- 2:28Speaker 1: What is Just Ask about?
- 2:30Speaker 3: When people ask you what Just Ask is about, like
- 2:34Speaker 3: where did it come from, what do you tell them? Well,
- 2:37Speaker 3: first I say it's kind of a play on words,
- 2:39Speaker 3: but your name is Jessica. So Just Ask literally is...
- 2:44Speaker 3: Just being free to ask. Just ask. Like, I think
- 2:49Speaker 3: a lot of times, a lot of the things that
- 2:50Speaker 3: we need... Because it's for me. Like, in this season,
- 2:53Speaker 3: I know everything is going to come from my voice. So,
- 2:56Speaker 3: you know, everything is coming from my voice. So, it's
- 2:58Speaker 3: literally giving yourself permission to just ask for the things.
- 3:01Speaker 3: The desires, the needs, all of it. But her name
- 3:04Speaker 3: is Jessica, so we put her first.
- 3:05Speaker 1: My name is Jessica. And just ask. But I was also.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I was also in a season of asking, right? When
- 3:12Speaker 3: the Lord gave me this assignment, I didn't know what
- 3:16Speaker 3: this was, right?
- 3:17Speaker 1: It's like, manna, what is this?
- 3:19Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:20Speaker 1: This is this, right? We ain't never seen this before.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Listen, I was already doing the work, but didn't like
- 3:26Speaker 3: really understand. It didn't necessarily have like a name or
- 3:29Speaker 3: a title or a structure to it. So when people
- 3:30Speaker 3: see me so passionate about it, it's because I got
- 3:33Speaker 3: it out the mud. Ay.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Young. Ay. I got it out the mud.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. But I'm so passionate about it because I literally
- 3:45Speaker 3: took something.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I haven't changed my name. I thought I was going
- 3:47Speaker 1: to have to change my name at one point.
- 3:48Speaker 3: And it was like, no, because you are just asking.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Like you said, it's a play on words. But I'm
- 3:55Speaker 3: going to bring this scripture up. And this is the
- 3:57Speaker 3: scripture that I was leaning on a lot. So Matthew 7.
- 3:59Speaker 3: And y'all know I love a good Christian standard Bible
- 4:04Speaker 3: in this season for me.
- 4:05Speaker 1: And she might go to the ghetto. I went to
- 4:08Speaker 1: the easy read.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:10Speaker 3: So I'm going to read the Christian Standard Bible, and
- 4:12Speaker 3: then Desiree is going to read hers, just so we
- 4:14Speaker 3: can have our full interpretation. And I'm actually going to
- 4:17Speaker 3: read Matthew 7, the 7th verse through the 12th verse,
- 4:23Speaker 3: because I have all of it highlighted. It says, Ask,
- 4:26Speaker 3: and it will be given to you. Seek, and you
- 4:29Speaker 3: will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you.
- 4:32Speaker 3: For everyone who asks receives. And the one who seeks finds,
- 4:39Speaker 3: and the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Who among you, if his son asks him for bread,
- 4:48Speaker 3: he will give him a stone? Or if he asks
- 4:52Speaker 3: for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then,
- 4:57Speaker 3: who are evil, know how to give good gifts to
- 5:01Speaker 3: your children, how much more will the Father in heaven
- 5:05Speaker 3: give good things to those who ask him? Therefore, whatever
- 5:10Speaker 3: you do, whatever you want others to do for you,
- 5:15Speaker 3: do also the same for them. For this is the
- 5:17Speaker 3: law of the prophets. Yeah, this is the law of
- 5:20Speaker 3: the prophets. All right, before I get into it, Desiree,
- 5:22Speaker 3: give us the easy read.
- 5:24Speaker 1: The easy read.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Um so this is matthew 7 um 7 through 12
- 5:31Speaker 3: okay and i like the easy read sometimes well i
- 5:34Speaker 3: go between like i like the csv uh i like
- 5:37Speaker 3: the nlt sometimes the passion depending on um the books
- 5:41Speaker 3: um and then the easy read for me just like
- 5:43Speaker 3: just break it all the way down you know what
- 5:44Speaker 3: i'm saying um it says continue to ask And God
- 5:48Speaker 3: will give to you. Continue to search and you will find.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Continue to knock and the door will be open to you. Yes,
- 5:54Speaker 3: whoever continues to ask will receive. Whoever continues to look
- 5:59Speaker 3: will find. And whoever continues to knock will have the
- 6:03Speaker 3: door open for them. Do any of you have a son?
- 6:07Speaker 3: If he asks for bread, would you give him a rock?
- 6:09Speaker 3: Or if he asks for a fish, would you give
- 6:12Speaker 3: him a snake?
- 6:13Speaker 1: Of course not. You people....
- 6:16Speaker 3: You people are so bad, but you still know how
- 6:19Speaker 3: to give good things to your children. So surely your
- 6:23Speaker 3: heavenly father will give good things to those who ask him.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Do for others what you would want them to do
- 6:29Speaker 3: for you. This is the meaning of the law of
- 6:31Speaker 3: Moses and the teaching of the prophets.
- 6:35Speaker 1: So if anything, what I want y'all to get is.
- 6:40Speaker 3: So when I started this, I started just as based upon...
- 6:45Speaker 3: Where I was in that season, not knowing that I
- 6:48Speaker 3: would have multiple seasons of Jessica asking me. You know
- 6:53Speaker 3: what I'm saying? Just ask is a command. I just
- 6:58Speaker 3: want you to know, people always ask me, and because
- 7:03Speaker 3: I understand ministry and marketplace, sometimes I'm like, okay, who
- 7:07Speaker 3: am I talking to right now?
- 7:08Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 7:09Speaker 3: Do I give a marketplace answer or do I give
- 7:12Speaker 3: a ministry-led answer? Because I understand I have a blend
- 7:16Speaker 3: of both. And so my marketplace answer is like, So
- 7:21Speaker 3: I is what I say in the beginning. This is
- 7:24Speaker 3: where transparency meets transformation. And when people transform, they get
- 7:27Speaker 3: to live.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Their best lives.
- 7:29Speaker 3: This is targeted or the people that are attracted to
- 7:31Speaker 3: this platform are women that are in the ages between
- 7:35Speaker 3: basically now is 30 to 45 that have been stuck
- 7:38Speaker 3: in a place where I know there is more.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I just don't know how to find it. Yeah. ask
- 7:43Speaker 1: and it shall.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Be given seek and you shall find knock and the
- 7:47Speaker 3: door shall be open when i do my part then
- 7:51Speaker 3: god gets to give give the response right and so
- 7:55Speaker 3: that's my that's my you know.
- 8:00Speaker 1: What you call it uh not midwife lord jesus I
- 8:03Speaker 1: just said the word. Marketplace.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Marketplace.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Marketplace response, right?
- 8:08Speaker 3: But my ministry response is, this is my obedience project.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Because I do understand that the Lord can tell me, hey, tomorrow, Jessica,
- 8:17Speaker 3: I don't want you to come. Desiree and I have
- 8:19Speaker 3: already talked, because y'all know Desiree got a man, like
- 8:21Speaker 3: a real man, like this her husband.
- 8:22Speaker 1: We just waiting on a date. Desiree O'Neal got a man.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Jessica ain't got a man.
- 8:31Speaker 3: So we trying to figure this out. Like, okay, you
- 8:34Speaker 3: go to your purpose partner. You know what I'm saying?
- 8:37Speaker 3: Which we are purpose partners, but he trumps me once he.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Becomes your husband.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Cadero, you trump me when you become the husband, dog.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I know, I know.
- 8:49Speaker 3: But I know that's going to look different. We don't
- 8:53Speaker 3: know what the different looks like. So I think just like, hey, Lord,
- 8:57Speaker 3: this is my obedience to you. I don't know what
- 8:59Speaker 3: this looks like. I haven't been able to figure this out.
- 9:01Speaker 3: And I never knew, watch this, I never knew that
- 9:04Speaker 3: it was going to lead to more. I never knew
- 9:08Speaker 3: that it would lead to more. So I'm taking y'all
- 9:09Speaker 3: down a journey because I'm going to get y'all somewhere.
- 9:11Speaker 3: But Desiree had to just ask me.
- 9:17Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 9:18Speaker 3: Like, you don't get through life without asking. And people
- 9:22Speaker 3: was like, I didn't know that I would be teaching
- 9:25Speaker 3: people the value of asking.
- 9:27Speaker 1: All right.
- 9:29Speaker 3: What do you think that keeps us away from the ask?
- 9:32Speaker 3: I think sometimes it's the fear of rejection, the no,
- 9:41Speaker 3: or sometimes the weight of the yes.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Okay.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Okay. Now, that last one is something that needs to
- 9:49Speaker 3: be talked about more. Because the way of the yes,
- 9:54Speaker 3: the fear of what's on the other side of the yes,
- 9:57Speaker 3: especially when you've already given a yes.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Oh, my.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Listen that's all right i was telling um Coach D,
- 10:04Speaker 3: the other week when I was talking to her, like,
- 10:07Speaker 3: you know, for me, like, when I talk about my
- 10:11Speaker 3: hospital experience, and I talk about the yes that I
- 10:14Speaker 3: gave was real. Like, because I ain't, like, you in
- 10:17Speaker 3: this moment, and not that it was the moment that
- 10:18Speaker 3: made me say yes, it was the realization of where
- 10:21Speaker 3: I was.
- 10:21Speaker 1: And the hospital experience is when you literally almost died.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Yes.
- 10:24Speaker 1: And because of the fibroids.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Yes.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Okay, just in case people don't. Okay, yes, ma'am. Yeah. Yeah, so.
- 10:28Speaker 3: 2021, went in and had fibroids removed, ended up having
- 10:32Speaker 3: some complications where I had extreme internal bleeding and, like,
- 10:36Speaker 3: left the earth, right? So I just remember giving God
- 10:38Speaker 3: a yes, right? Not really knowing what yes meant until
- 10:42Speaker 3: I started journeying along.
- 10:45Speaker 1: With the yeses, right? So what it did, though, was, like, each.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Instruction, we have an opportunity to obey or not obey, right?
- 10:55Speaker 3: So because I gave a yes, I felt like I
- 10:57Speaker 3: was obligated to obey, right? But I don't know what
- 11:01Speaker 3: on the other side looks like. So I'll say yes
- 11:06Speaker 3: kind of hesitantly.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Yes, question mark.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Yes. Yes.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Not yes period, but yes question mark. And we journey
- 11:12Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Right?
- 11:13Speaker 1: So we get to a new place. There's a new instruction.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Right?
- 11:17Speaker 3: So the new instruction comes with, I don't know what's
- 11:19Speaker 3: going on. So you can say yes and ask. Or
- 11:23Speaker 3: we can say no because we don't really understand what's
- 11:26Speaker 3: on the other side because of the fear of the yes.
- 11:28Speaker 1: You just said something. I'm sorry. That just shook me.
- 11:33Speaker 1: You said we can say yes and ask.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Yes. Yes. Do you know, so for me, I think
- 11:41Speaker 3: it's the dynamic of growing up in church and being
- 11:44Speaker 3: told you don't question God, right? I think that's also,
- 11:49Speaker 3: from a hyper-religious standpoint, and when I say hyper-religious, I'm
- 11:53Speaker 3: speaking on Christianity, right? Us as believers, when we don't
- 11:58Speaker 3: do relationship with God, we don't know that we can
- 12:00Speaker 3: ask God questions.
- 12:01Speaker 1: He told us to ask. Ask. And this was Jesus talking.
- 12:05Speaker 1: And he told us to seek, too. Seeking is asking.
- 12:08Speaker 3: That's like I'm searching. I'm asking questions. You ask questions,
- 12:11Speaker 3: but you don't question God. But what is that? So
- 12:17Speaker 3: that mutes me as a believer. After I'm reading this,
- 12:21Speaker 3: this is conflicting me because I believe that now it's
- 12:26Speaker 3: like I'm asking for something, but I can't ask for
- 12:29Speaker 3: the wrong thing because the Lord won't give it to me.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Sometimes, I believe if it's the wrong thing, that means
- 12:35Speaker 1: I have to seek out the right thing. Because what
- 12:38Speaker 1: if it's not big enough? What if the ask is
- 12:40Speaker 1: not big enough? You get what I'm saying? Also, there are.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Seasons where the Lord say, you don't think I will
- 12:46Speaker 3: take care of every need. You don't think that I
- 12:49Speaker 3: am a dress the lily, feed the.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Birds type of guy.
- 12:52Speaker 3: And the problem is, is that depending on the season,
- 12:56Speaker 3: your ask has to match the season. Your ask has
- 13:01Speaker 3: to match because your ask cannot go beyond.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Your measure of faith. Ooh, this is getting good to me.
- 13:09Speaker 3: This is getting good to me.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Your ask cannot go beyond the measure of faith.
- 13:14Speaker 3: When I started this year, Desiree, when I was talking
- 13:18Speaker 3: to God, this wasn't even necessarily an ask.
- 13:20Speaker 1: This was just a desire.
- 13:21Speaker 3: But the desire of your heart is really formed into
- 13:24Speaker 3: an ask, right? So I'm sitting there talking to the Lord.
- 13:26Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, babe, um, I really would like to
- 13:29Speaker 3: be a speaker. I want to lean into this speaker.
- 13:31Speaker 3: I'm actively trying to get help in this, right? I'm
- 13:34Speaker 3: looking into investing in programs, right? I am learning what
- 13:38Speaker 3: I need to do. But then I tell, I'm sitting
- 13:40Speaker 3: here talking to Holy Spirit out loud and saying, I
- 13:44Speaker 3: would like to be prepared for places like TED Talk.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I didn't know it was a question mark on that.
- 13:52Speaker 3: I just said, this is what I would like. This
- 13:56Speaker 3: is what I would like. Not knowing the next day,
- 14:01Speaker 3: the absolute next day, I would be getting a phone
- 14:04Speaker 3: call from somebody named Lisa to ask me, would you be.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Interested in being a TEDx speaker?
- 14:12Speaker 3: So now I have a responsibility to put myself in
- 14:16Speaker 3: a position to go with the ask.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Ooh, I feel my health.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Come on. Now I have a responsibility to go with
- 14:24Speaker 3: the ask because why am I asking God or presenting
- 14:27Speaker 3: myself with wishful thinking when God presents me.
- 14:31Speaker 1: The opportunity to act on the ask?
- 14:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:34Speaker 1: So what if... The last ask you.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Requested, the last thing you requested, God, is still there
- 14:42Speaker 3: and you didn't do anything with it.
- 14:44Speaker 1: And for the next ask to be revealed, you have
- 14:46Speaker 1: to deal with that one.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. So you're seeking, you're seeking and you're finding and
- 14:52Speaker 3: you're knocking and you, but you hadn't responded to the
- 14:55Speaker 3: other door that was open.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Oh, I don't know. I don't, I think this is
- 14:59Speaker 1: a little, it's a little rebukish.
- 15:01Speaker 3: It's a little rebukish because you out here asking a God,
- 15:05Speaker 3: the God, the Lord of your life for something.
- 15:08Speaker 1: He presents it to you. And because you scared of.
- 15:11Speaker 3: It now, you don't act on it. Or you, or you, you, you,
- 15:14Speaker 3: you got too much low self esteem. Let me tell
- 15:16Speaker 3: you about some esteem.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Okay? Talk about it, Jessica. I just asked this lady. Y'all,
- 15:23Speaker 1: that's listening. I look cute today. She don't look cute.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I look cute today. This was not what I was
- 15:27Speaker 1: about to wear, okay?
- 15:29Speaker 3: But I was doing my makeup on TikTok, and this
- 15:32Speaker 3: was my makeup dress, and I just threw something on.
- 15:35Speaker 3: But anywho, I asked the woman a guy, does it
- 15:37Speaker 3: look like I have a lazy eye?
- 15:40Speaker 1: This right eye.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Was looking a little lazy. You know how sometimes your eyelash...
- 15:46Speaker 3: Can look like it's giving God glory. I thought my
- 15:53Speaker 3: eyelash was going to the upper room or landing somewhere.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I thought it was, it felt the Holy Ghost. And
- 16:01Speaker 1: I asked. She did. I asked her what was going on.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Here, right?
- 16:08Speaker 1: Because my esteem is always tested.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Especially when I'm coming up to show up for you guys.
- 16:16Speaker 3: My esteem, y'all, if I keep it a buck, this week,
- 16:21Speaker 3: this week, the past several weeks, and I'm going to
- 16:25Speaker 3: give it to y'all in a minute. The past several
- 16:27Speaker 3: weeks have been very interesting. I'm going to give you,
- 16:32Speaker 3: it hasn't been horrible. It's been the most interesting part
- 16:35Speaker 3: of this year. It has been the most interesting part
- 16:38Speaker 3: of the year. Y'all see a lot of highs. But
- 16:42Speaker 3: I'm going to give you a low, okay? I'm going
- 16:44Speaker 3: to give you a low, right?
- 16:46Speaker 1: When you ask God, hey, is it my time yet?
- 16:50Speaker 1: Is it time to shift? Is it time?
- 16:52Speaker 3: You're curious about something because watch this. The Lord has
- 16:55Speaker 3: planted something in you to where it makes you curious
- 16:59Speaker 3: enough to what he's doing with you. I'm going to
- 17:02Speaker 3: say that again in probably a better form. The Lord
- 17:06Speaker 3: has planted something in you to make you curious enough
- 17:10Speaker 3: to what he's doing through you. Right.
- 17:13Speaker 1: And so I think that not ask asking get makes
- 17:19Speaker 1: you dormant. It keeps you dormant.
- 17:23Speaker 3: So you wonder how people are able to move is
- 17:25Speaker 3: not because they better than you.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I am not better than you.
- 17:30Speaker 3: I'm not. Desiree, I love her, but she is not
- 17:33Speaker 3: better than you. She asks, and watch this, she acts
- 17:37Speaker 3: on the ask. That means A-C-T-S on the A-S-K-S.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Ooh, that's good.
- 17:45Speaker 3: You have to A-C-T-S on the A-S-K-S or you get Z-E-O-R-O.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Zero.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Zero.
- 18:01Speaker 1: What's the point of asking? Yeah.
- 18:04Speaker 3: I think, you know, listen to you explain it like that.
- 18:08Speaker 3: It reminds me of what I told the Lord after
- 18:11Speaker 3: I met Cordero.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Because what you're saying is we may express a thing,
- 18:21Speaker 3: a desire, or we may ask, you know, ask for
- 18:24Speaker 3: a thing.
- 18:25Speaker 2: And.
- 18:28Speaker 1: most of the times we're not prepared when they show up.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Come on now.
- 18:32Speaker 3: But the reason why the process is important, because the
- 18:37Speaker 3: Lord is really trying to prepare us, trying to make
- 18:39Speaker 3: sure we have the capacity, make sure we have the
- 18:42Speaker 3: wisdom and the knowledge to be able to step into
- 18:44Speaker 3: the place that he had already prepared for us.
- 18:47Speaker 1: But we get so impatient with waiting.
- 18:49Speaker 3: We get so impatient with seeing everybody else, you know,
- 18:52Speaker 3: with these things that we're asking and desiring for. But
- 18:54Speaker 3: sometimes we just don't realize like the weight of the thing. Literally,
- 18:57Speaker 3: if he give it to you right now, we'll crush you.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Come on. It will literally crush you. Come on.
- 19:03Speaker 3: So when you've journeyed the process, when you've endured the
- 19:07Speaker 3: suffering well, like you can ten toes flat down, whatever
- 19:12Speaker 3: they say, stand in the next season knowing that you've
- 19:16Speaker 3: been called to that place. But sometimes we don't manage.
- 19:21Speaker 3: We don't steward the process well.
- 19:22Speaker 1: We do not. We do not.
- 19:24Speaker 3: And I think I'm learning that about myself to take what.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Take what the Lord embedded in me seriously.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Yes.
- 19:34Speaker 1: What I mean by that is, I don't like talking
- 19:37Speaker 1: about this, but it is what it is. So I
- 19:42Speaker 1: have a prophetic anointing, right? Yes. And I'm proud of you.
- 19:48Speaker 1: That's good, Jessica. Okay.
- 19:49Speaker 3: That was better.
- 19:50Speaker 1: One. Step number one. Admitting.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Yes.
- 19:53Speaker 1: What is that? That's good. That's admitting it.
- 19:57Speaker 3: And I don't say that because I am ashamed of it.
- 20:02Speaker 3: I say that because this world... has so many questions
- 20:09Speaker 3: that I don't have answers to about the prophetic.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I'm still learning, right? As Brionca has said, she.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Has said to the Safe Space, shout out to the
- 20:19Speaker 3: Safe Space community, we meet every Monday, $ 19 a month.
- 20:23Speaker 3: We literally, you know, they're my dogs. They're my dogs.
- 20:28Speaker 3: They family. So she was telling the Safe Space community
- 20:35Speaker 3: about my gift. And she was saying that because the
- 20:39Speaker 3: prophetic comes up in different ways.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Right.
- 20:43Speaker 3: I will be in the middle of a conversation with
- 20:46Speaker 3: you and I will tell you something prophetically. And if
- 20:50Speaker 3: you don't catch it, you don't you won't eventually get like, no,
- 20:55Speaker 3: Jessica said this to me.
- 20:57Speaker 1: So nine times out of 10.
- 20:59Speaker 3: I don't remember what I just said. And then I
- 21:04Speaker 3: try my best not to do a bubble up because people...
- 21:06Speaker 3: And when I say bubble up, let me use....
- 21:10Speaker 1: Language, regular language.
- 21:11Speaker 3: I get this feeling in my gut or this excitement.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Have you ever experienced something like that makes you excited
- 21:18Speaker 3: that your heart starts racing or whatever, like you kind
- 21:21Speaker 3: of get hot?
- 21:21Speaker 1: Maybe you have different temperatures that you're experiencing with your body.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I experienced that.
- 21:26Speaker 3: So I'm getting excited in the conversation because, and then
- 21:29Speaker 3: it's not because of me, it's because that's how the
- 21:32Speaker 3: Holy Spirit responds to me normally, right? Sometimes I can
- 21:36Speaker 3: be calm in a conversation. But then I do like my,
- 21:39Speaker 3: something's shifting with my body. So if you're on the
- 21:41Speaker 3: phone with me, you might not see it. But if
- 21:44Speaker 3: I tell you something and then it happens, I'm going
- 21:48Speaker 3: to tell you if it's wisdom. But nine times out
- 21:51Speaker 3: of ten, I'm going to be like, I don't know
- 21:52Speaker 3: why I'm saying this.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Or if I ask you a question, I asked a
- 21:56Speaker 1: friend recently, well, not too long ago, have you ever
- 21:59Speaker 1: considered going back to school?
- 22:03Speaker 3: And they were like, no, no, I don't want to
- 22:04Speaker 3: go to school, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I was like, well,
- 22:08Speaker 3: I told them, I can see you doing X, Y,
- 22:11Speaker 3: and Z. I can see you teaching. Now, when I
- 22:15Speaker 3: said in the moment, I can see you, I knew
- 22:18Speaker 3: what I meant.
- 22:19Speaker 1: But at that moment, I didn't explain, oh, this is
- 22:22Speaker 1: my prophetic gift. This is my prophetic color.
- 22:25Speaker 3: I didn't explain that. And now, a few months later, they're...
- 22:32Speaker 3: In school.
- 22:33Speaker 1: They're in school.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Not the type of school I necessarily saw, but the
- 22:38Speaker 3: Lord gave me that, right? And so when I have
- 22:43Speaker 3: to watch myself in my speech because of the prophetic
- 22:48Speaker 3: anointing that I have. Now, how does that correlate to asking?
- 22:55Speaker 3: I feel like I went too deep. What was I
- 22:58Speaker 3: saying before this? I just had a brain fart. I
- 23:02Speaker 3: had a point to that.
- 23:03Speaker 1: But let's go. We're going to bring it back. Her
- 23:05Speaker 1: brain farted too. I went down. I was just like, ooh,
- 23:08Speaker 1: this is good. Yeah, no, this is good. So when I.
- 23:12Speaker 3: We have the mind of Christ. We do have the
- 23:15Speaker 3: mind of Christ. I'm trying to figure out what... Because
- 23:17Speaker 3: I had a good point.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Dog it.
- 23:20Speaker 3: You're talking about the prophetic gift and how sometimes you
- 23:23Speaker 3: don't have all the answers.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Then you started kind of describing how it goes.
- 23:27Speaker 3: I described it, but I probably described it too long
- 23:30Speaker 3: because I had a point that I was trying to make.
- 23:32Speaker 1: So let's revert back to asking. Because a lot of us.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I know.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Okay, here's a point. I don't think this was the point.
- 23:42Speaker 3: If you're prophetic... If you're prophetic and you.
- 23:50Speaker 3: And you're asking things, for me, I get scared of
- 23:55Speaker 3: opening my mouth sometimes.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I'll be like, oh, this is going to happen.
- 23:57Speaker 3: I'm going to have to be responsible for it. I'm
- 24:03Speaker 3: going to open my mouth, and I'm going to have
- 24:04Speaker 3: to be responsible for it. It's going back to what
- 24:06Speaker 3: you said about the yes. The book, A Journey of Yes.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Brenda Palmer.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Brenda Palmer, we read that in the safe space when
- 24:19Speaker 3: it wasn't necessarily the safe space. Y'all, when I tell you,
- 24:23Speaker 3: let's talk about an ask, okay? I did not want
- 24:27Speaker 3: a community. We did a challenge reading the book with
- 24:33Speaker 3: Journey of Yes.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Shout out to Brenda Palmer. She has a new podcast. Well,
- 24:37Speaker 1: it's not new.
- 24:38Speaker 3: She just kind of updated to the Journey of Yes, right?
- 24:42Speaker 3: she updates it to that, but we was reading this
- 24:46Speaker 3: book and literally she, she gave me every reason to
- 24:52Speaker 3: say no in the book. She gave us a reason
- 24:56Speaker 3: to say no in the book. Now, mind you, this
- 24:58Speaker 3: was just supposed to be a reading challenge. This was
- 25:01Speaker 3: not supposed to be a community. This was not supposed
- 25:06Speaker 3: to be a community.
- 25:07Speaker 1: And so in this, Several of.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Them, when we were winding down, they was like, so
- 25:16Speaker 3: what's our next thing?
- 25:19Speaker 1: We're not going to stop this. I was like, yeah, this.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Is only supposed to be a six-week challenge. They was like, nah,
- 25:26Speaker 3: I ain't feeling stopping. So sometimes the ask of others
- 25:32Speaker 3: will position you to where God wants you to be.
- 25:34Speaker 1: This is so good.
- 25:36Speaker 3: It was the ask of the Israelites that created the
- 25:40Speaker 3: answer of Moses. And so when we think about asking,
- 25:49Speaker 3: there's no asking without the solution already being accessible to us.
- 25:54Speaker 3: And I think that when we don't ask, we don't
- 25:58Speaker 3: tell God we want it enough. Like a literal, open
- 26:04Speaker 3: your mouth, tell me what you want. And it's not,
- 26:08Speaker 3: watch this, it's not can I have. Like I told
- 26:12Speaker 3: you earlier with the TEDx thing, it's, hey, I would like,
- 26:18Speaker 3: I want. You get what I'm saying?
- 26:20Speaker 1: I think this, right?
- 26:22Speaker 3: I literally, I can't tell you how many times I've thought, Lord,
- 26:27Speaker 3: I need to go.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I would love to get some flowers. Royal. Shout out
- 26:32Speaker 1: to the Miller Child podcast.
- 26:34Speaker 3: I literally, the day before I went and recorded with her,
- 26:38Speaker 3: I literally was like, man, Lord, I have not had
- 26:39Speaker 3: flowers in a long time. There was a man in
- 26:42Speaker 3: my life that introduced me to getting flowers. And I
- 26:47Speaker 3: just love, I didn't know I loved that that much.
- 26:50Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 26:50Speaker 3: I think it was just a token of I'm thinking
- 26:53Speaker 3: about you type of thing. I felt like the beauty
- 26:56Speaker 3: of the flowers represented how he saw me or whatever.
- 26:59Speaker 3: And I was just like, man, I haven't had flowers
- 27:01Speaker 3: in so long.
- 27:02Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? I walk in that doggone
- 27:05Speaker 1: door and Royal had flowers for me. And she just,
- 27:09Speaker 1: she thought light of it. She thought a lot of it.
- 27:12Speaker 1: She was like, yeah, I got something for you. And
- 27:16Speaker 1: I saw them flowers and I broke down. I saw
- 27:18Speaker 1: her crying. I was like, I know you lying. I
- 27:20Speaker 1: just kept saying, I know you lying. I know you lying. Right?
- 27:24Speaker 1: But it was the desire of my heart. And watch this.
- 27:27Speaker 1: I brought it to God. And some people would think
- 27:30Speaker 1: that's so small to ask.
- 27:31Speaker 3: I think the reason why he had to put it
- 27:35Speaker 3: in the Bible is because it's a part of relationships.
- 27:41Speaker 3: If you think about how some denominations kind of make,
- 27:47Speaker 3: they tell you not to ask God, right? So literally
- 27:50Speaker 3: that's almost putting a wall in between you and your
- 27:55Speaker 3: Lord and Savior, like you and the person that made you,
- 27:57Speaker 3: you and the creator, right?
- 27:59Speaker 1: So now there's no closeness.
- 28:01Speaker 3: So I'm only sometimes comfortable with asking people things sometimes
- 28:06Speaker 3: that I trust, right? Or sometimes, you know, it may
- 28:12Speaker 3: be somebody that you don't know, but it's something that
- 28:14Speaker 3: you know that they have the authority to do.
- 28:16Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 28:17Speaker 3: So when we begin to seek the Lord about situations,
- 28:22Speaker 3: about people, about things, it brings us closer into intimate
- 28:27Speaker 3: relationship with him. So now it's not just a, hey,
- 28:30Speaker 3: I'm asking this thing. Now it's also a, you actually
- 28:33Speaker 3: got to sit and wait for the answer. You also
- 28:36Speaker 3: got to sit and wait for the answer. And I
- 28:39Speaker 3: think that's the season that I'm in and kind of
- 28:43Speaker 3: been in. And I've actually really been enjoying because I've
- 28:47Speaker 3: been one to not ask.
- 28:49Speaker 1: I've been one to not share my heart.
- 28:51Speaker 3: I've been one to not share my thoughts and feelings
- 28:55Speaker 3: with people because of that fear of rejection. Or I'm
- 28:59Speaker 3: also working through this narrative of, and nobody ever told
- 29:02Speaker 3: me this, right, of not being a burden to people.
- 29:06Speaker 3: And I think that's just how I, you know, just
- 29:08Speaker 3: being raised with a single parent.
- 29:10Speaker 1: My mom never made me. never show that.
- 29:13Speaker 3: It's just watching her, uh, strive so hard to just,
- 29:16Speaker 3: you know, put a meal on the table.
- 29:17Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? It's like, so like, I
- 29:19Speaker 1: don't want to disrupt with my asking. Yes. That is so,
- 29:23Speaker 1: that is so key.
- 29:24Speaker 3: So in this season, when I say my, my, my,
- 29:26Speaker 3: my nexus tied to my voice, that's literally what I meant.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Like I'm literally having to sit with the Lord, share
- 29:31Speaker 3: my heart with him, ask him questions. Like, Lord, I don't,
- 29:34Speaker 3: I mean, like being a daughter, like we talk about it,
- 29:37Speaker 3: that's my father and I'm a, daughter of the king.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Like if I felt like I may not have been
- 29:41Speaker 3: the best daughter to my natural parents. Well, I don't
- 29:43Speaker 3: know how to be a daughter. You have to show
- 29:44Speaker 3: me how do I be a good daughter? I think
- 29:47Speaker 3: you bring up an amazing, an amazing point. Because the
- 29:53Speaker 3: prodigal son just came up. And that man asked.
- 29:57Speaker 1: For his money.
- 29:57Speaker 3: He did.
- 29:58Speaker 1: He asked for his money and his father still... Even though... Yep.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Come on, Shondo.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Even though he knew that he wasn't ready for it,
- 30:09Speaker 3: he knew.
- 30:11Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure.
- 30:11Speaker 3: I'm sure.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Because that was his father.
- 30:13Speaker 3: I'm sure.
- 30:13Speaker 1: He knew how immature he was.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Oh, I'm sure.
- 30:14Speaker 1: But to give... Because he asked for it. Mm-hmm.
- 30:19Speaker 3: In advance of when he wanted it. That's also something
- 30:21Speaker 3: that we need to be okay with. God, I'm asking
- 30:24Speaker 3: for this, but please don't give it to.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Me if I'm ready. Lord, let me put you on stipulation.
- 30:29Speaker 1: If I ain't ready for it. I know I said
- 30:31Speaker 1: I want it, but if I ain't ready, shout out,
- 30:32Speaker 1: don't give it to me. Don't give it to me.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Don't give it to me. I know you know better, okay?
- 30:37Speaker 3: I know I might be a little eager, but the
- 30:39Speaker 3: Father still gave him. And I also think that for me,
- 30:44Speaker 3: if you're a perfectionist, right, you might struggle with asking
- 30:48Speaker 3: because you don't want to, quote unquote, ask for the
- 30:50Speaker 3: right thing at the wrong time.
- 30:53Speaker 1: You don't want to ask.
- 30:54Speaker 3: It's not that what you're asking for is bad, but
- 30:56Speaker 3: you're like, is it time for that yet? Yeah.
- 30:58Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 30:59Speaker 3: Because in my perfectionist mindset, I'm telling like, okay, if
- 31:03Speaker 3: God really wanted it for me, then he'll just go
- 31:06Speaker 3: ahead and get it for me.
- 31:07Speaker 1: No ma'am, no ma'am, no ma'am. No ma'am, no ma'am.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Hence why the next thing I think is important. So
- 31:15Speaker 3: Desiree brought up the fact that I am the new
- 31:17Speaker 3: BGTV studio manager.
- 31:19Speaker 1: She's the manager. Yeah.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Let's talk about walking on the water, okay? This is,
- 31:25Speaker 3: what I tell you, this is a God thing. And
- 31:27Speaker 3: I think one day Brad will come on here and
- 31:30Speaker 3: we'll have to talk about what that looked like because
- 31:33Speaker 3: that process was like.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Only God, only God, right? Only God can do it.
- 31:38Speaker 3: But a little taste of that is, okay, Jessica, how
- 31:41Speaker 3: are you the new BGTV studios manager? Well, most of
- 31:45Speaker 3: you guys, well, some people just didn't know. Everybody thought
- 31:47Speaker 3: that I was a full-time podcaster.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I wish.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Y'all, let me tell y'all, let me be real, real
- 31:52Speaker 3: with y'all. I desire to be, well, my desire is
- 31:59Speaker 3: to get paid, you know, as a content creator and
- 32:03Speaker 3: a podcast host, coach, all of the above, right?
- 32:07Speaker 1: And that's going to happen.
- 32:09Speaker 3: It's going to happen probably very soon.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Because in my asking, when.
- 32:17Speaker 3: You have a relationship with God and you have gotten
- 32:22Speaker 3: adjusted to just saying, hey, God, if this is this,
- 32:25Speaker 3: then show me, right? Then your heart is prepared for
- 32:29Speaker 3: his answer, right? And so, August 13th, I was fired.
- 32:36Speaker 1: From my job. You know, I like that. Because, you know,
- 32:45Speaker 1: we sometimes were like, I was released from my duties.
- 32:50Speaker 3: No.
- 32:50Speaker 1: And I said, Lord, how am I going to say
- 32:52Speaker 1: this today?
- 32:53Speaker 3: Right?
- 32:54Speaker 1: I was fired.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Fired from a job that I did. I would have
- 32:59Speaker 3: made it to 10 years in November, right?
- 33:01Speaker 1: I was talking... I'm about to get so real with y'all.
- 33:05Speaker 1: So the process... You know, when you... I've had a
- 33:08Speaker 1: job for....
- 33:12Speaker 3: Over 10 years. Like, my dad didn't let me work
- 33:14Speaker 3: from home. I mean, my dad didn't let me work
- 33:17Speaker 3: when I was living with him. But when I left,
- 33:20Speaker 3: I've had a job. So I worked while I was
- 33:23Speaker 3: in school. I had two jobs while I was in school. Um...
- 33:27Speaker 3: When I got out of school, I had a little gap,
- 33:30Speaker 3: but I had two jobs at a time when I
- 33:32Speaker 3: got out of school. And then once I started working
- 33:34Speaker 3: for the company that just let me go, that was
- 33:37Speaker 3: the only time I only had one job. And I
- 33:40Speaker 3: progressed on the sales side. Well, two years ago, we
- 33:46Speaker 3: talk about transition. Two years ago, the Lord told me, hey,
- 33:50Speaker 3: put in your notice. I put in my notice. And
- 33:54Speaker 3: the ram in the bush came. The ram in the
- 33:56Speaker 3: bush was for my transition, not for me to settle.
- 34:01Speaker 3: I need y'all to hear this. My ram in the
- 34:04Speaker 3: bush was not for my settlement. It was for me
- 34:07Speaker 3: to transition well. The ram was not a stamp.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Of approval to stay where I was.
- 34:16Speaker 3: It was just, hey, I'm going to glide you into
- 34:20Speaker 3: where I want you to be. right and so now
- 34:25Speaker 3: hindsight now hindsight i'm like okay bet um so when
- 34:32Speaker 3: when august 13th came for months i have been you
- 34:35Speaker 3: know having some trouble whatever at the job i ain't
- 34:37Speaker 3: gonna get too deep to it um because i'm not mad.
- 34:41Speaker 1: At nobody i'm not mad at all i'm not mad.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Um I was having some trouble at the job, and then,
- 34:49Speaker 3: you know, me and management weren't really seeing eye to eye.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I felt it coming.
- 34:53Speaker 3: I literally felt something about to shift, okay? So as
- 34:58Speaker 3: I'm doing this, I'm like, okay, cool. That week, literally
- 35:03Speaker 3: the night before, I had talked to two people. One
- 35:06Speaker 3: of those people was Brad. One of those people was Brad,
- 35:09Speaker 3: and Brad talked to me about walking on water. This
- 35:13Speaker 3: is not the first conversation we had about BGTV, but
- 35:16Speaker 3: he talked to me about walking on water. Y'all get
- 35:18Speaker 3: that conversation when Brad come to talk. The next few hours,
- 35:23Speaker 3: I'm talking to a friend who had just gone through
- 35:27Speaker 3: a similar situation that I didn't know that they.
- 35:31Speaker 1: I thought they.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Just quit the job. But they ended up giving me
- 35:35Speaker 3: more information. Almost verbatim, the same doggone thing. So he said,
- 35:43Speaker 3: I know you're experiencing anxiety.
- 35:46Speaker 1: I remember all of this. I remember feeling all of this, right?
- 35:50Speaker 1: So mind you, I go to sleep.
- 35:56Speaker 3: I finally figure out how to go to sleep because
- 35:59Speaker 3: I was anxious, y'all.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Like, I was really anxious. I woke up the next morning.
- 36:04Speaker 1: I said, Lord, I.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Said, if this is it, I need you to make
- 36:12Speaker 3: it plain and I need you to make it quick.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Had a meeting with two leaders at 8 o'clock. The
- 36:22Speaker 3: next meeting I had at 10.30.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Please log off. You're no longer a member of this organization.
- 36:32Speaker 1: But I didn't even say okay. I hit end. Because
- 36:37Speaker 1: this is a little work from my own job. You
- 36:39Speaker 1: get what I'm saying? I'm working from home. They asked
- 36:42Speaker 1: me to log off.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Baby, when I say ain't nothing come out, because.
- 36:47Speaker 1: I asked the Lord.
- 36:49Speaker 2: You did.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Make it plain.
- 36:51Speaker 3: You did.
- 36:51Speaker 1: And make it quick.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Yep. Some of us get the answer from God and
- 36:56Speaker 3: we hesitate. Because now that I got the answer, you
- 37:01Speaker 3: got to sustain me, dog. One thing I'm not going
- 37:04Speaker 3: to do is be stressed out over no money on.
- 37:08Speaker 3: I'm not going to do that. Because obviously you have
- 37:12Speaker 3: a sustaining plan for me. And then you are not
- 37:15Speaker 3: just a sustainer. But I understand that you do exceedingly
- 37:20Speaker 3: abundantly above all that I could ask and think.
- 37:24Speaker 1: So I need you to exceed what I expect. I
- 37:27Speaker 1: don't want to just be able to pay my bills.
- 37:30Speaker 1: I don't just want to be... Listen, y'all. Do y'all
- 37:33Speaker 1: see my nails? Y'all been seeing me get my nails
- 37:36Speaker 1: done for.
- 37:37Speaker 3: I need a mani and a pedi.
- 37:39Speaker 1: I need some acrylic. I need some overlay on these.
- 37:42Speaker 3: My toes look like dinosaurs right now. And they ashy.
- 37:47Speaker 1: And my feet are ashy. My feet are ashy. Just
- 37:49Speaker 1: a little bit. But that's not the point. The point is,
- 37:52Speaker 1: this is what I want. And I'm asking for.
- 37:56Speaker 3: And I'm in great expectation. But I also know what
- 37:59Speaker 3: the Lord will ask me.
- 38:02Speaker 1: That's good. What is the Lord asking you to do
- 38:06Speaker 1: for your solution?
- 38:08Speaker 3: If I wasn't submitted to the idea of obedience, then
- 38:14Speaker 3: he wouldn't have been able to respond the.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Way he did because that would have hurt me.
- 38:19Speaker 3: And sometimes you're asking for something, going back to what
- 38:23Speaker 3: you said about the timing, that is not the wrong thing,
- 38:28Speaker 3: but it's about the time.
- 38:30Speaker 1: And you have to wait. Sometimes the Lord is really
- 38:32Speaker 1: waiting on you.
- 38:35Speaker 3: The Lord is really waiting on you. So I just
- 38:38Speaker 3: wanted to let y'all know that I'm not only the
- 38:41Speaker 3: BGTV studio manager, I'm a full-time content creator. So if
- 38:44Speaker 3: you want to sow it to the ministry, this is
- 38:48Speaker 3: going on good ground because we out here entrepreneuring.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Entrepreneuring full-time. Full-time, okay? Lily walking on water. Yeah. Desiree,
- 38:57Speaker 1: I'm going to get you. You be done. Yeah, no,
- 38:59Speaker 1: this was good.
- 39:00Speaker 3: I think....
- 39:02Speaker 1: It's just the season that we're in. Well, the season
- 39:04Speaker 1: that I'm currently in. It's just learning literally like.
- 39:07Speaker 3: Like, I keep reminding myself of Jeremiah 29 and 11.
- 39:11Speaker 3: I think we read it and we're like, oh, yes.
- 39:14Speaker 3: But we forget what it really means. It means like, hey,
- 39:17Speaker 3: the man that created you, that brought you down here
- 39:19Speaker 3: to this earth, he already knew who you was before
- 39:21Speaker 3: he even put you here. He already knew where you
- 39:25Speaker 3: needed to be in order to fulfill the purposes on
- 39:27Speaker 3: your life.
- 39:28Speaker 1: So if that's the case.
- 39:30Speaker 3: and he doesn't mean us harm, he mean us good things,
- 39:34Speaker 3: that means we just have to journey along.
- 39:36Speaker 1: And a part of the journey is the relationship.
- 39:40Speaker 3: Like a part of the journey to getting to whatever
- 39:43Speaker 3: that is for whatever that looks like for you is
- 39:45Speaker 3: a part of the relationship with the Lord.
- 39:46Speaker 1: And that is asking, seeking, knocking, waiting. You know what
- 39:50Speaker 1: I'm saying? And so that's kind of like where I am.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Like it's been really different.
- 39:55Speaker 3: Yeah. But it's been really beautiful because I've every day
- 40:00Speaker 3: I've literally seen the hand of the Lord. Like typically
- 40:03Speaker 3: we live in life and we're all the things. But
- 40:06Speaker 3: like when you really take that time to sit and
- 40:08Speaker 3: to have conversation and to commune with the Lord, like
- 40:11Speaker 3: I can literally see him in my day to day life. Yeah.
- 40:15Speaker 1: And I wouldn't trade that.
- 40:16Speaker 2: For the world.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:18Speaker 3: It's a different type of experience. It's almost like, Lord,
- 40:20Speaker 3: you just say surprise every day. Yeah. You know what
- 40:23Speaker 3: I'm saying? Some of the stuff I'd be like, Lord,
- 40:25Speaker 3: I forgot I asked you that.
- 40:26Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? Like, Lord, I really forgot
- 40:29Speaker 1: I asked you that, but you really.
- 40:34Speaker 3: You're really showing up in the way that you said
- 40:36Speaker 3: you would. And a lot of us are not used
- 40:38Speaker 3: to that because we've equated what man, the ability of
- 40:42Speaker 3: man show up is the ability of God show up.
- 40:46Speaker 1: And that's not the same thing, right? And I think that.
- 40:50Speaker 3: making a decision to ask is also planting a seed
- 40:53Speaker 3: and expounding your faith.
- 40:54Speaker 1: You're watering your faith when you ask, right?
- 40:57Speaker 3: And so, listen, what do you need to be asking
- 41:01Speaker 3: God right now? What have you wanted and you haven't
- 41:04Speaker 3: sought the Lord on there? I want to give you
- 41:06Speaker 3: guys some homework and just write a few things like God, diary, journal,
- 41:12Speaker 3: whatever you want to call it. Just sit down with
- 41:14Speaker 3: the Lord and just start asking. If you feel like
- 41:17Speaker 3: it's a list, a laundry list, just do it. Because
- 41:20Speaker 3: whatever's done unto God is going to be covered. And
- 41:23Speaker 3: if he say no, there's a reason.
- 41:25Speaker 1: Why he's saying no.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Sometimes he says not yet. But a lot of times,
- 41:30Speaker 3: if your heart is aligned with the Lord, it says submit.
- 41:34Speaker 3: Doesn't it say submit yourself? What's the desires of your heart?
- 41:38Speaker 3: You give the desires of your heart. Give me the scripture.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Give me the scripture.
- 41:42Speaker 3: Give me the scripture. One thing I'm not going to
- 41:44Speaker 3: do is end this live without the right scripture. Y'all,
- 41:47Speaker 3: hold on.
- 41:48Speaker 1: I was ending, and I was ending well. I want
- 41:50Speaker 1: to say some Proverbs.
- 41:52Speaker 3: It is.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Desires of your heart. Scripture. Abide.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Abide.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Take delight. That's the words I was looking for.
- 42:00Speaker 3: Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you
- 42:02Speaker 3: the desire of your heart.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Okay? So, let's do that.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Desiree, I appreciate you. I love you, girl.
- 42:10Speaker 1: I love you.
- 42:11Speaker 3: And next time, bring some lotion because you're supposed to
- 42:13Speaker 3: be armor bearing me. Producer is another form of armor bearer, okay?
- 42:17Speaker 3: And so you would have been fired today.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Oh, my. Because you showed up with ash and ankles. Yeah,
- 42:23Speaker 1: I forgot.
- 42:23Speaker 3: I forgot. But anyway, love you guys. Make sure you like, comment,
- 42:26Speaker 3: and subscribe. You can also support the podcast. But until

- 43:28Speaker 3: day wiser, another day to get it right, another day
- 43:30Speaker 3: to rise up, another day living, another day with loved ones,
- 43:34Speaker 3: always remember, hold it down for a bold one, yeah.
