Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: You're always looking for what is going to be the
- 0:08Speaker 1: catalyst for the next bull run. Today we're going to
- 0:10Speaker 1: be breaking down just that, and it may be this
- 0:12Speaker 1: ruling on the Apple App Store. My name is Paul Barrel.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome back in the tech path. Let's get into it today.
- 0:18Speaker 1: If you guys did not catch our video last week,
- 0:20Speaker 1: just go over to the YouTube channel right now. It's
- 0:23Speaker 1: this one right here, and it's called the Judge eviscerates Apple.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Did a full breakdown of what the legal ramifications were
- 0:30Speaker 1: by the judge and the courts on Apple's actions toward creators, developers,
- 0:35Speaker 1: you name it, gamers, including you and me when you're
- 0:38Speaker 1: just doing regular Netflix subscriptions. All of that changed last week.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Let me go to a clip real quick, and then
- 0:44Speaker 1: we're going to bring in our guests to kind of
- 0:46Speaker 1: just give you a recap. Take a look.
- 0:48Speaker 2: This is.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Weird sound.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Apple has been defeated four year, four months and seventeen
- 1:00Speaker 2: day long legal battle.
- 1:02Speaker 4: That I thought this court would tolerate such an insubordination
- 1:05Speaker 4: was a gross miscalculation for this court. There is no
- 1:08Speaker 4: second bite at the Apple. It is so ordered whoo
- 1:12Speaker 4: Fang to get out of the typewriter, dounge and tune
- 1:16Speaker 4: and the judges is pissed.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Literally the words cook chose poorly are in this decision.
- 1:21Speaker 3: This is over.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Sanctions are getting involved. Oh boy, no fees on web transactions.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Game over. It happened. It's over. Go subscribe on my
- 1:31Speaker 4: site and get a discount.
- 1:33Speaker 1: How much do you want to pay? Pretty good backhand
- 1:36Speaker 1: pimp slap fortnet mobile coming back.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Perhaps we'll actually get a new Apple skin that would
- 1:47Speaker 4: be very cool to kind of celebrate, well, them actually winning.
- 1:50Speaker 4: The skin may be released in the future, all right,
- 1:52Speaker 4: So as.
- 1:52Speaker 1: You can see, guys, that was a big news topic.
- 1:55Speaker 1: It has changed possibly the future of digital commerce, literally
- 2:00Speaker 1: the future of digital commerce. So I wanted to bring
- 2:02Speaker 1: in an expert, somebody who's faced this head on, and
- 2:05Speaker 1: that is Corey right coming in from Honeyland. How are you, man, Paul.
- 2:08Speaker 2: It's great to see you again. That was a really
- 2:09Speaker 2: cool montage and a really healthy moment as well, for
- 2:12Speaker 2: all of the three gaming and really the world.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Now, Corey, you spent some time kind of building around
- 2:18Speaker 1: the Apple ecosystem, you know, finding the little cracks and crannies.
- 2:22Speaker 1: All of that's kind of gone now to be able
- 2:25Speaker 1: to just to initiate a game something like honey Honeyland.
- 2:28Speaker 1: What will this change for you in terms of how
- 2:30Speaker 1: you're developing, how you're building product now.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it's so we had from day you know, we've
- 2:34Speaker 2: been live on the Apple App Store for over two
- 2:36Speaker 2: years now, and so we were able to get around
- 2:39Speaker 2: a lot of kind of some of those challenges through
- 2:41Speaker 2: building this what I would call intricate on chain off
- 2:43Speaker 2: chain architecture. Players can get essentially deposit crypto to get
- 2:46Speaker 2: into the game, and then we would allow the move
- 2:48Speaker 2: it off chain and we would settle on chain in
- 2:50Speaker 2: the background, and so it allowed us to get beyond that,
- 2:52Speaker 2: but we also did in purchases and we had to
- 2:54Speaker 2: pay those thirty percent fees, and so to get around that,
- 2:57Speaker 2: we build other platforms where players can go and we
- 3:00Speaker 2: built like a stripe on ramp where they could use
- 3:02Speaker 2: stripe and deposit that way and get around some of
- 3:04Speaker 2: those fees. And so, yeah, we were fortunate that we
- 3:06Speaker 2: built a lot of that tech. But now this really
- 3:08Speaker 2: opened to the aperture on what we can do. We're
- 3:10Speaker 2: very hesitant to you know, the types of product that
- 3:13Speaker 2: we wanted to offer that way, simply because It was
- 3:15Speaker 2: kind of on a if it needed to be there,
- 3:17Speaker 2: we would build it, but there was no we had
- 3:19Speaker 2: to educate the players. We had there was no direct
- 3:21Speaker 2: path to let the players know about these other options,
- 3:25Speaker 2: so they were really limited to just kind of going
- 3:27Speaker 2: with the in app purchases. So we were very limited.
- 3:29Speaker 2: So I think it certainly opens up the our kind
- 3:32Speaker 2: of game plan in terms of what we intend to
- 3:35Speaker 2: offer as in app purchases, and does a ton for
- 3:37Speaker 2: us just in terms of like new player onboarding or
- 3:40Speaker 2: how can we really go capture Web two players and
- 3:42Speaker 2: allow them just to use credit card primarily now through
- 3:46Speaker 2: everything that they're doing, as opposed to having to onboard
- 3:48Speaker 2: through crypto and stuff. And so yeah, it unlocks a
- 3:50Speaker 2: lot for I think the entire Web three gaming ecosystem,
- 3:52Speaker 2: but it certainly still unlocks a ton for us.
- 3:55Speaker 1: This could be a commerce boom which will affect NFTs,
- 3:59Speaker 1: possibly even crypto exchanges, many things in a big way.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Here's Spotify News they were talking about this well as well.
- 4:05Speaker 1: In a huge victory for consumers, artists, creators, authors, et cetera.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Near a decade of all of this slowing down the
- 4:13Speaker 1: process and now what we're seeing which could be, and
- 4:16Speaker 1: I agree with them a significant milestone in terms of
- 4:20Speaker 1: developers and entrepreneurs, people who are now can actually build product.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I was looking at the guidelines, Cory, this has to
- 4:27Speaker 1: be music to your ears right here. I mean, look
- 4:30Speaker 1: at this. Three point one one. Apps in the United
- 4:32Speaker 1: States storefront are not prohibited from including buttons, external links,
- 4:37Speaker 1: other calls to action, including allowing users to browse NFT collections.
- 4:43Speaker 1: What did you guys have a big party like a
- 4:45Speaker 1: pizza party or a Honeyland party or what was the
- 4:48Speaker 1: process here for you guys going forward with us? Well,
- 4:50Speaker 1: it's funny.
- 4:50Speaker 2: I was on a trip. We were doing a big
- 4:52Speaker 2: Honeyland event, like a community event in London this past week,
- 4:55Speaker 2: So when it came out it was I wasn't at
- 4:57Speaker 2: my normal desking computer, so it was very distributed. But yeah,
- 4:59Speaker 2: there was a ton of a sync communication with our
- 5:01Speaker 2: team that was really celebrating and starting to think or
- 5:04Speaker 2: starting to unlock for us how we can pardon the pun,
- 5:07Speaker 2: but think differently. There were so many people that with
- 5:09Speaker 2: the uncertainty of could you build and get live in
- 5:12Speaker 2: the app store? Could that they just went mobile or
- 5:14Speaker 2: they went to Epic, or they went to other distribution
- 5:17Speaker 2: channels and publishers, and now this starts to get what
- 5:20Speaker 2: I think will be a much larger wave, and ultimately
- 5:22Speaker 2: this is a rising tide.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Rises all boats.
- 5:24Speaker 2: For Web three Gaming, we did run with a lot
- 5:26Speaker 2: of fear every single time we'd push in new build.
- 5:28Speaker 2: We've been fortunate that we've had very few shoes with Apple,
- 5:31Speaker 2: but you never know. You make one small change and
- 5:33Speaker 2: all of a sudden, the game that we've worked so
- 5:35Speaker 2: hard for can immediately be gone from any of our
- 5:37Speaker 2: Apple users almost overnight if they just didn't like a ruling.
- 5:40Speaker 2: And so I think for us this gives us a
- 5:43Speaker 2: big exhale that we know that kind of everything that
- 5:45Speaker 2: we've done now has a lot more cushioning around it
- 5:48Speaker 2: in terms of just what the certainty and regulation is
- 5:49Speaker 2: going to be from Apple and how they decide to
- 5:51Speaker 2: king make or rule make whatever they want and so.
- 5:54Speaker 2: And big kudos to Spotify as well. They've been championing
- 5:58Speaker 2: this even before the Epic Game Store.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Now you're seeing developers can now bypass platform fees, link
- 6:03Speaker 1: players directly to web shops from inside games. All of
- 6:07Speaker 1: this is going to be huge. Now people are actually
- 6:10Speaker 1: helping companies out there kind of make this transition. Do
- 6:13Speaker 1: you think that will change the way that companies like you,
- 6:17Speaker 1: maybe even your competitors even think about developing.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Now, it really comes back to the consumer is who
- 6:24Speaker 2: who's ultimately paying more for this? And I think that's
- 6:27Speaker 2: one of the things gets that gets missed here is
- 6:29Speaker 2: that it doesn't really make It's not going to make
- 6:31Speaker 2: it so that we are making more on every in
- 6:33Speaker 2: app purchase. Those savings are going to be passed back
- 6:35Speaker 2: to the player, which I think is really important. And
- 6:37Speaker 2: then the liquidity stays within the ecosystem, which is so
- 6:39Speaker 2: important for you know, a Web three ecosystem that if
- 6:42Speaker 2: a player spends one hundred dollars into the ecosystem and
- 6:45Speaker 2: thirty percent immediately leaves, it's really really challenging to create that,
- 6:49Speaker 2: you know, to where we're really struggling, like the big
- 6:52Speaker 2: challenges creating liquidity within an ecosystem, and when Apple is
- 6:55Speaker 2: siphoning that immediately, it's a huge challenge to overcome. So
- 6:59Speaker 2: I think that that's the biggest benefit for us is
- 7:01Speaker 2: the game developer, is the liquidity staying in the ecosystem
- 7:05Speaker 2: and those savings can path back to the player where
- 7:06Speaker 2: I think there's a huge benefit there.
- 7:08Speaker 1: This is just showing kind of funny how creator earnings
- 7:11Speaker 1: were less than half of what they would charge. So
- 7:15Speaker 1: if you look at the iOS app, if you spent
- 7:17Speaker 1: ten bucks is like six dollars and twenty cents. It's
- 7:19Speaker 1: what your reward or your remainder was versus a sixty
- 7:22Speaker 1: one in the Android system. And that's not even you know,
- 7:25Speaker 1: considering the limitations of the app itself, no telling how
- 7:29Speaker 1: much money that you're losing just because a user can't
- 7:33Speaker 1: or doesn't want to engage with you because of that fee,
- 7:36Speaker 1: which a lot of people. Do you know, do you
- 7:38Speaker 1: think that's going to change the the layer of games,
- 7:42Speaker 1: because in the past it's we've kind of had these
- 7:44Speaker 1: like casino style games, people paying for placement in the
- 7:48Speaker 1: app store, getting these really crappy products out there because
- 7:53Speaker 1: they're great money grabs. Do you think that's going to
- 7:56Speaker 1: change the kind of game that is now going to
- 7:59Speaker 1: be able to actually be fun to play and climbing
- 8:02Speaker 1: the charts.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I don't know how much that's the shift here, although
- 8:05Speaker 2: I could wrong. I mean I think that, like we
- 8:06Speaker 2: already talked about, there's a lot of games that may
- 8:09Speaker 2: just think of other publishing channels outside of Apple that
- 8:11Speaker 2: because uncertainty there, and so I think that those types
- 8:15Speaker 2: of games exist already, but they'll get just different publishing
- 8:17Speaker 2: options now with Apple that I think that's probably where
- 8:20Speaker 2: you're going to see that they're more available through Apple
- 8:22Speaker 2: than than than that. There are actually new types of
- 8:26Speaker 2: games that are coming that didn't exist. They just haven't
- 8:28Speaker 2: existed on Apple before, and it's been much more difficult
- 8:31Speaker 2: to reach players that way. And so I think the distribution,
- 8:33Speaker 2: the onboarding friction of like a new player trying to
- 8:36Speaker 2: own assets, you know, either there's loss of value or
- 8:39Speaker 2: you know. And so I think there's there's so much
- 8:41Speaker 2: that it's going to do for retention distribution, and those
- 8:46Speaker 2: are really really important not just for the game but
- 8:49Speaker 2: for the for the community. You want more players, you
- 8:51Speaker 2: want the liquidity, you need all of those things. And
- 8:54Speaker 2: so when when it really as you kind of mentioned,
- 8:56Speaker 2: unshackles those, I think it means a lot more than
- 8:59Speaker 2: just you know, a thirty percent savings of dollar. There
- 9:01Speaker 2: is a lot of trickle down effect, even going into
- 9:03Speaker 2: like the ability to fundraise right when right more money
- 9:06Speaker 2: is staying within the system, or the ability to add
- 9:08Speaker 2: crypto into games that maybe games couldn't do that previously,
- 9:11Speaker 2: and so now you can start to think differently about
- 9:14Speaker 2: how you can build these game economies. And so yeah, yeah,
- 9:16Speaker 2: to your point, maybe there are new uh you know,
- 9:19Speaker 2: games that have to think outside of Apple can now
- 9:22Speaker 2: start thinking about how they can do that win an
- 9:23Speaker 2: Apple as well.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Well. I think it's also in a position where it's
- 9:26Speaker 1: going to change the very fabric of how payments are
- 9:30Speaker 1: done in game and even in certain services out there.
- 9:34Speaker 1: If you look at here's the Sweet play a good example.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I'm kind of zoomed in on their screen, but it
- 9:39Speaker 1: shows right there at the game dollar. That's one option,
- 9:42Speaker 1: and you'll notice the cost is like forty seven bucks there.
- 9:45Speaker 1: But if you go Apple Pay, there's the fee right there,
- 9:47Speaker 1: fifty bucks. And then if you go with Visa, also
- 9:50Speaker 1: a fee. So the likelihood is now even Visa could
- 9:55Speaker 1: be affected by this. So they're probably going to look
- 9:57Speaker 1: at scrambling trying to figure out a way to possibly
- 10:00Speaker 1: because they could easily get dislodged with in game NFT
- 10:03Speaker 1: value or other things like in this particular case, a
- 10:06Speaker 1: game dollar. Imagine that for Fortnite, if they were using
- 10:10Speaker 1: a crypto asset and no longer using Visa. Oh my gosh,
- 10:13Speaker 1: the potential there is unbelievable. And then you look at
- 10:18Speaker 1: the hardware. This is the other thing that's changing. Obviously,
- 10:21Speaker 1: we see prices growing right now in terms of the
- 10:24Speaker 1: older xboxes. I'm kind of curious, do you think there
- 10:28Speaker 1: is a potential here for cloud gaming to really take
- 10:33Speaker 1: off now that the consoles are starting to get a
- 10:35Speaker 1: little bit of a pushback.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean cloud gaming is what Web three games
- 10:40Speaker 2: are meant for, right It's really difficult to get really
- 10:42Speaker 2: the Web three elements onto console. I think it's really
- 10:45Speaker 2: made for cloud and online and mobile are really where
- 10:49Speaker 2: crypto is going to I think thrive most. And so
- 10:53Speaker 2: it's a huge, a huge win for anybody in Web
- 10:57Speaker 2: three gaming. And yeah, I think cloud gaming is going
- 10:59Speaker 2: to see the biggest benefit from that. And then we'll see,
- 11:01Speaker 2: you know how this may set a standard for what
- 11:04Speaker 2: consoles want to start to do in terms of relaxing
- 11:06Speaker 2: their gates, are turning down their walls a little bit
- 11:08Speaker 2: to become a little bit more crypto friendly.
- 11:10Speaker 1: We had Yatsu on not too long ago. He's from
- 11:12Speaker 1: Anamoca brands. We did this video with him, and the
- 11:15Speaker 1: topic was Grand Theft Auto there of course, and AI
- 11:18Speaker 1: agents because this is going to be a big one
- 11:20Speaker 1: with what virtuals is doing. His prediction was is that
- 11:24Speaker 1: the launch of Grand Theft Auto would initialize maybe the
- 11:28Speaker 1: next level of e commerce. And the question I asked
- 11:32Speaker 1: him in that video was, you know, will they be
- 11:34Speaker 1: able to do it without Apple? And of course now
- 11:36Speaker 1: you know with this ruling it completely eliminates So when
- 11:40Speaker 1: you look at that and the fact that we've also
- 11:43Speaker 1: got a delay now with Grand Theft Auto six months
- 11:47Speaker 1: right now, GTA six delayed to May of twenty six,
- 11:51Speaker 1: it's actually more than that. But the point being is
- 11:53Speaker 1: that was this delay maybe to get ready for what
- 11:59Speaker 1: they knew was coming with this Apple suitcase being an issue.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I'm just kind of curious. I want to play a
- 12:06Speaker 1: clip for you and then I want to get your opinion.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Let me go to this clip.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Sure, have another marketplace called d Market and you can
- 12:11Speaker 3: really trade as kind of our our our eBay market
- 12:15Speaker 3: right of any any game asset, and that that system
- 12:18Speaker 3: does a lot, is doing a little about about four
- 12:20Speaker 3: hundred million dollars a trade volume a year. What's exciting
- 12:22Speaker 3: about that now is we did a big research on
- 12:24Speaker 3: in twenty percent of our volume, twenty percent now is
- 12:27Speaker 3: coming from AI agents, from things like Claude or chat GTP.
- 12:31Speaker 3: People are now using these services to trade on their behalf.
- 12:34Speaker 3: We're gonna we're now kind of working to make sure
- 12:36Speaker 3: that all of our APIs are very very friendly, so
- 12:39Speaker 3: that so that these these new AI agents can understand
- 12:42Speaker 3: what they're trying to ask for and make it very
- 12:44Speaker 3: very simple, because now you have a new interface, so
- 12:46Speaker 3: we think it's very powerful.
- 12:47Speaker 1: All right, So that's a mythical CEO. Talking about the
- 12:49Speaker 1: potential of AI agents, Yat Sue mentioned that he thinks
- 12:53Speaker 1: AI agents will reformat how some of these big blockbuster
- 12:57Speaker 1: games like GTA will be into GRI. We'll see a
- 13:00Speaker 1: lot more potentials there. Maybe this is all in a
- 13:04Speaker 1: plan now of getting ready for crypto and blockchain and
- 13:08Speaker 1: digital assets as well as AI agents playing into gaming.
- 13:12Speaker 1: What are your thoughts on this?
- 13:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I think this is going to be huge and
- 13:15Speaker 2: if GTA six, which will be the biggest game ever released,
- 13:20Speaker 2: you know, can really start to lead a charge on
- 13:22Speaker 2: this and essentially take billions of people and make them
- 13:25Speaker 2: comfortable with whatever that next stage of gaming is and
- 13:28Speaker 2: something that because they're going to succeed with without the
- 13:31Speaker 2: Apple Store, but the you know, it was important to
- 13:34Speaker 2: them still, right. I mean that's why Spotify It and
- 13:36Speaker 2: Epic we're fighting this is because it really does cut
- 13:38Speaker 2: into their margins. But for the smaller games, for the smaller,
- 13:41Speaker 2: the more indie studios or the ones that are more
- 13:43Speaker 2: our size, it unlocks so much for us. And then
- 13:46Speaker 2: if we can see people like GTA six and Epic
- 13:49Speaker 2: really start to lead this and make others comfortable and
- 13:52Speaker 2: that's kind of their entry point, then that can be
- 13:54Speaker 2: another way for them to discover us where we may
- 13:56Speaker 2: not have had that ability previously. And so yeah, the
- 13:58Speaker 2: more that these larger titles and publishers can think about this,
- 14:02Speaker 2: the better everybody is.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Well.
- 14:03Speaker 1: As you're watching the AI agents side of things, guys,
- 14:06Speaker 1: if you're you know, if you're a brand new to
- 14:08Speaker 1: our channel, make sure and check out our videos on virtuals.
- 14:11Speaker 1: If you look at virtuals right now starting to again,
- 14:14Speaker 1: just hear from April climbing in terms of agent revenue,
- 14:19Speaker 1: So we'll most likely see AI agents being used a
- 14:22Speaker 1: lot more in everyday activities. One of the things that
- 14:25Speaker 1: I'm watching because I think this may have a hand
- 14:28Speaker 1: in kind of a hand in hand relationship to gaming
- 14:31Speaker 1: is food ordering. And it's funny because many people have
- 14:35Speaker 1: tried to integrate food ordering into games for a long time.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Now we have a potential here where actual AI agents
- 14:42Speaker 1: could be functioning on tools like this. Let me play
- 14:45Speaker 1: a clip for you. Take a look.
- 14:48Speaker 5: You know when you're starving, but you don't even want
- 14:49Speaker 5: to open a delivery app. Well, seeing this is by AI.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Now let's try it out. I want to large pizza
- 14:55Speaker 5: with some fun toppings. Add it to my cart. I've
- 14:58Speaker 5: added a spicy hot chicken pickle pizza to your car.
- 15:01Speaker 5: Can you also add something sweet from the menu? Surprise me,
- 15:04Speaker 5: I've added a delightful s'more pie to your car. Check
- 15:08Speaker 5: out your orders? All set and on the way? Do
- 15:10Speaker 5: you take tips in crypto? No crypto paid for this,
- 15:15Speaker 5: so I was curious. Yeah, no, it's through this AIS.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Imagine that integrated into a game. And then you have
- 15:23Speaker 1: to worry about how visa because that has been the
- 15:26Speaker 1: pretty much the cornerstone of e commerce most likely and
- 15:30Speaker 1: even within Honeyland. If you think about how they're going
- 15:32Speaker 1: to be able to pie for in game assets. Listen
- 15:35Speaker 1: to what Visa potentially could be facing here. Take a look.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Visa is another company in the earnings parade this week,
- 15:42Speaker 4: the payments Giant is reporting mixed results and then this
- 15:45Speaker 4: morning rolling out some new technology products.
- 15:48Speaker 2: I think we're going to have the ability to be
- 15:50Speaker 2: able to just say, whether it's groceries or a specific
- 15:53Speaker 2: gift that I'm trying to buy, it's just going to
- 15:55Speaker 2: make it a lot easier.
- 15:56Speaker 6: Visa also announcing a way to make it easier to
- 15:58Speaker 6: pay with cryptocurrency. In this CEO sounded bullish on the consumer.
- 16:01Speaker 6: After what was a mixed report for Visa yesterday, we
- 16:05Speaker 6: said it is certainly uncertain.
- 16:07Speaker 1: All right, So Visa certainly uncertain. I like that one.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Visa looking like they could be in a little bit
- 16:14Speaker 1: of hot water here. What do you think do you
- 16:16Speaker 1: think this is going to affect their business at all?
- 16:18Speaker 2: I mean, I think Visa can have this affect their
- 16:20Speaker 2: business incredibly positively if they want to instead of push
- 16:23Speaker 2: against it, they want to embrace it, right, and so
- 16:26Speaker 2: we've seen tools like cast, which is a really cool
- 16:29Speaker 2: kind of way to put load. Basically, Visa think of
- 16:32Speaker 2: it as like prepaid with crypto and then pay through
- 16:34Speaker 2: digital payments and Apple Pay, and I know a lot
- 16:36Speaker 2: of people that are doing that and getting really good rewards.
- 16:38Speaker 2: I think that Visa can be a conduit to really
- 16:41Speaker 2: unlock Crypto to Fiat Bridge to really make that world,
- 16:46Speaker 2: or I shouldn't even say Fiat to really digital payments.
- 16:49Speaker 2: And Crypto is made for digital point payments, and so
- 16:52Speaker 2: much of what we're doing with Apple pay all this
- 16:53Speaker 2: is digital payments. Now, why would we not start to
- 16:55Speaker 2: integrate these and take advantage of everything that crypto has
- 16:58Speaker 2: to offer with simplicity in the rails that Visus already built.
- 17:02Speaker 1: This is well to your point. They could They could
- 17:04Speaker 1: win big here if they choose to, but it's going
- 17:07Speaker 1: to be a selection and maybe they're in a position
- 17:09Speaker 1: where they are seeing the riding on the wall now
- 17:12Speaker 1: in terms of how fast this may come into play,
- 17:14Speaker 1: especially with legislation coming through most likely with the Market
- 17:18Speaker 1: Structure Act and stable coins, which could really start to
- 17:21Speaker 1: shake things up dramatically in terms of payment options. When
- 17:25Speaker 1: you look at the roadmap for Honeyland, how are you
- 17:28Speaker 1: guys mapping this out for the potential of advancing your business?
- 17:33Speaker 1: Right now? I know you've got a lot going on, you.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Know, and this was similar to how you know the
- 17:39Speaker 2: it seems like GTA was already building and then this
- 17:40Speaker 2: announcement really helps them out. There's things that we're already
- 17:43Speaker 2: building in terms of that, we were building iaps for
- 17:46Speaker 2: new bundles, for onboarding experience and things that we've identified.
- 17:49Speaker 2: But I think this now starts to give us the
- 17:51Speaker 2: ability to start to run more special events. So since
- 17:53Speaker 2: we had to build tech outside of the game, we
- 17:56Speaker 2: needed real engagement with that. And so now if most
- 18:00Speaker 2: of the egagement takes place in our game and we
- 18:02Speaker 2: can at least start to move players towards these events,
- 18:05Speaker 2: we can start to build much more time based or
- 18:07Speaker 2: special events around in that purchase as opposed to things
- 18:10Speaker 2: that are only in crypto. And so I think it
- 18:13Speaker 2: again that idea of like, we can start to think
- 18:15Speaker 2: differently now that we have this unlock of what we're
- 18:18Speaker 2: able to do. And yeah, so there's all the known
- 18:22Speaker 2: benefits of the value savings and the liquidity keeping and
- 18:24Speaker 2: the friction list, but it now starts to give basically
- 18:27Speaker 2: a better player experience because we can do more knowing
- 18:29Speaker 2: that the time invested into it has a much more
- 18:32Speaker 2: lasting impact. On how we can start to use that
- 18:36Speaker 2: in the game for players.
- 18:37Speaker 1: And reach out for sure, oh no doubt. And when
- 18:40Speaker 1: I think, you know, when our users are trying to
- 18:42Speaker 1: keep track of this and say, well, Paul, what does
- 18:44Speaker 1: this really do to affect crypto, and I think you
- 18:47Speaker 1: have to step back and realize all the ancillary benefits
- 18:51Speaker 1: around this, from the ecosystems of the blockchains to the
- 18:54Speaker 1: potential use case of stable coins and other digital assets
- 18:57Speaker 1: including NFTs and other things. Even figitals to a certain extent,
- 19:01Speaker 1: physical and digital connection now is going to be much
- 19:05Speaker 1: easier through all of this. I think it's just the
- 19:08Speaker 1: beginning of something very very special. It's like, you know,
- 19:11Speaker 1: the whole e commerce model has been flipped on its
- 19:13Speaker 1: head because of the Apple ecosystem being pretty much boiled
- 19:19Speaker 1: down to you know, an even keel for everybody. So
- 19:22Speaker 1: it's definitely going to be a big impact for sure. Corey.
- 19:25Speaker 1: It's been good having you back on the show. We'll
- 19:27Speaker 1: definitely bring you in as things start to develop for you,
- 19:30Speaker 1: because I want to see how you guys attack this
- 19:33Speaker 1: and come out with some cool stuff.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Well that's great, and like I said, we'll probably be
- 19:37Speaker 2: more speedy than others just because we have a lot
- 19:39Speaker 2: of the tooling ready. It's now just about you know,
- 19:41Speaker 2: the education and kind of the updating the UI. But yeah,
- 19:45Speaker 2: I am really excited. I promise you updated and we
- 19:47Speaker 2: will have stuff pretty speedily ready to take advantage of.
- 19:50Speaker 1: This excellent Thanks for coming in today. We appreciate it, Corey,
