Speaker 1: All right, well, I'm not going to do much this Sunday,
• 0:06
Speaker 1: but I did want to play something very special from
• 0:09
Speaker 1: Friday when the Mob Store and Goodie Baseball Cards and
• 0:14
Speaker 1: Fanatics Collect all collaborated to bring history to that Mob
• 0:19
Speaker 1: Store in New York City by showing us a once
• 0:22
Speaker 1: in a lifetime Babe Ruth baseball card which Fanatics is
• 0:27
Speaker 1: auctioning off as we speak. I mean there's about forty
• 0:31
Speaker 1: three bids or more for this card, which I think
• 0:34
Speaker 1: is covering for five hundred thousand dollars. I mean it's
• 0:38
Speaker 1: quite a rare card. Well, anyway, I talked with Fanatics
• 0:41
Speaker 1: Collect about this special card, and I want to share
• 0:45
Speaker 1: with you my Fanatics listeners as well as as well
• 0:49
Speaker 1: as a link to if you have the money, put
• 0:52
  Speaker 1: a bit in.
• 0:53
Speaker 2: So basically, nineteen thirty three Goudy is one of the
• 0:57
Speaker 2: most iconic sets in sports card history. There's basically three
• 1:01
Speaker 2: big sets. There's the T two O six which is
• 1:04
Speaker 2: released like nineteen oh nine, the one with Honus Wagner
• 1:06
Speaker 2: if you know that one, okay, and then there's thirty
• 1:08
Speaker 2: three Goudy, which is the This is the first set
• 1:11
Speaker 2: ever sold with gum in the packs and this is
• 1:13
Speaker 2: the card. This is the card. Yeah, how do you.
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: Guys preserve it?
• 1:17
Speaker 2: How has it been preserved? So this particular one was
• 1:21
Speaker 2: the original owner. It was in their family for almost
• 1:24
  Speaker 2: ninety years.
• 1:26
Speaker 1: And who am I speaking with for my podcast? So
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: I get out.
• 1:28
Speaker 2: Whom I for a podcast, Matt Cummings, And you're with fanatics, right,
• 1:32
Speaker 2: and with fanatics so cool. So it was with the
• 1:37
Speaker 2: original owner for almost ninety years. We don't know exactly
• 1:40
Speaker 2: how they're preservative it somehow is an amazing condition. A
• 1:43
Speaker 2: couple of years ago it was sold and then that
• 1:47
Speaker 2: person got it graded in it graded in eight point
• 1:50
Speaker 2: five out of ten with PSA. S insane for a
• 1:53
Speaker 2: vintage card to get a grade like that these days,
• 1:56
Speaker 2: I mean almost it's not been ninety one years since.
• 2:00
Speaker 2: And then any old card. First of all, a lot
• 2:03
Speaker 2: of people didn't realize that, you know, this can be
• 2:05
Speaker 2: valuable someday. They might have treated it, you know, you know,
• 2:09
Speaker 2: dinged it up and all that. And then also back
• 2:11
Speaker 2: then printing standards, you know, hit or miss, whether it's
• 2:15
Speaker 2: going to be centered and all that. So for a
• 2:17
Speaker 2: card that old to have a grade like this is
• 2:20
Speaker 2: extremely rare PSA, they said, very unlikely that one of
• 2:24
Speaker 2: these Babe cards would ever come forward. They would great higher.
• 2:29
Speaker 2: So this is the highest graded. There's three eight point fives,
• 2:32
Speaker 2: but it's the highest graded of any of the Baby
• 2:34
Speaker 2: cards in that set. And yeah, so then then the
• 2:39
Speaker 2: third set that people care about is nineteen fifty two tops. Okay,
• 2:43
Speaker 2: so it's like with Mickey Mantle, it's sort of the
• 2:46
Speaker 2: iconic card from now on. But those are those are
• 2:48
Speaker 2: the three iconic sets. So in a lot of ways
• 2:51
Speaker 2: that there is a there are some Baby Ruth Moockey cards.
• 2:53
Speaker 2: In a lot of ways, these are some of the
• 2:55
Speaker 2: most popular Babe cards. And then the condition makes it just,
• 2:59
Speaker 2: you know, such an incredible item, something that you really
• 3:03
Speaker 2: wants in a lifetime thing to be able to see it,
• 3:05
Speaker 2: and then in a week someone willone it, someone new
• 3:08
  Speaker 2: will own it.
• 3:10
Speaker 1: How cool is that? And also right now the MLB
• 3:14
Speaker 1: store is selling a vintage Babe Ruth jersey replica with
• 3:20
Speaker 1: the classic New York across the chests, probably the type
• 3:23
Speaker 1: of jersey he wore when he called the shot in
• 3:25
Speaker 1: nineteen thirty two against the Cubs. I mean to be
• 3:28
Speaker 1: able to wear that for even a moment, you could
• 3:30
Speaker 1: feel you were wearing history as I did on Friday afternoon,
• 3:36
Speaker 1: and so go to fanatics dot com right now, I'm
• 3:39
Speaker 1: going to send in the link and check it out.

• 4:03
  Speaker 2: legends never died.
