A former firefighter in Hickory, North Carolina, Bo Skylar Johnson, 35, is facing felony arson charges after allegedly setting fire to a vacant mobile home on Providence Church Road. The blaze occurred on August 14 and luckily no one was inside. Johnson, who served with the Hickory Fire Department from 2018 to 2025 and also worked part-time in Valdese, is currently jailed without bond and has a court date set for Wednesday.
