  the big NFL Draft and that was round one. Of course, rounds two

  and three are today and then tomorrow Saturday is rounds four to seven. But

  if you're a Bears fan, I think that really it all culminated last night

  when we had the first two out of nine picks for the draft last night.

  I don't think people are as big and excited on today. We don't

  draft until number seventy five, which is in the third round, and then
• 2:54
  tomorrow we have pick number one twenty two, which is in the fourth round,

  and then we're done. You know, we're done all the way until
• 3:02
  next year, unless now here we go. I was looking last night and

  Ryan Poles owns nine draft picks for next year. Nine and that's huge.

  And actually, let's go over what draft picks he has, because there could

  be a chance that he may wheel and deal and get into the second round
• 3:23
  today. It can happen, and it's happened before, so you know,

  let's see what happens with that. It could happen. I doubt it.

  I think he's pretty much content on what he's done already and what he's got

  left for this year. You know, there's still free agency that's still going

  on. You know, obviously there's still free agents out there. People are

  gonna be getting released, you know, and everything in the preseason and stuff.

  He could pick up guys there, he could still trade with other teams

  if he sees players that he feels fits the holes that he will still have

  after the draft. A lot of it's gonna see what he's gonna do after

  the draft. You know, draft picks, you can go defensive line and

  you can go offensive line. Hopefully, he's not gonna go get another corner,

  said, oh I had a big first day and now I'm just gonna go

  is very strategic when it comes to what he does, and that's why we

  saw the draft play out the way it did with the Bears last night.

  I think everybody's pretty excited. I mean, I'm sure there was players that

  you wish came here. Brock Bauers, a lot of people wanted him some

  people wanted a defensive end, you know, like Dallas Turner, who ended

  up being there at number nine, which we'll talk about that. That was

  a big shock. I was very surprised with Atlanta. Atlanta shocked the world

  last night. I was watching Twitter not there was not one person who saw
• 4:47
  them going quarterback with the number eight pick. They just nobody saw that coming,

  especially now that they got Kirk Cousins. You got big d Kurt coming
• 4:58
  in there. Why do you really need Michael Pennis Junior? But look,

  I guess maybe they feel like, who knows, Kirk Cousins my only last
• 5:05
  few more years and then retire, So then you'll have Michael Peenix come in

  after. We'll see what happens. But Atlanta shocked the world last night.

  It was crazy watching six quarterbacks go within the first twelve picks. That's never

  happened. The first three were all quarterbacks, which we knew. We knew

  that coming in. I actually was eight for eight or seven for seven.

  Going into my wife was very like just like enthralled, like watching me,
• 5:35
  like you, how do you know all this? Because I study this stuff.

  I do this on my podcast. I watch a lot of the NFL

  Network and ESPN. I read a lot of articles. I watched twenty million

  freaking mock drafts for the last three months since the Super Bowl, so you

  know, it's like, yeah, you kind of get to learn the players
• 5:55
  and you kind of get to see what they did. I watch a little
• 5:58
  of the combine that was going on and stuff, so you know, I
• 6:01
  mean, I'm pretty versed in football. I watch it. I love football.

  I study football, you know, and stuff. And some people might
• 6:09
  say I don't know what I'm talking about. I'll say, you don't know
• 6:12
  what you're talking about, you know as much as I do, you know,

  as much as some of these analysts do. I mean, honestly,

  it's all just a guessing game. You guess who you think that the players

  are going to go to. You know, I'm pretty sure everybody knew Caleb

  was coming to Chicago. But let's talk about what the Bears have in draft
• 6:27
  picks for next year to see if possibly we could move into the second round
• 6:31
  or maybe a fourth round or fifth round pick, you know, get some
• 6:35
  players this year. But let's see. I think that I know what Polls
• 6:40
  is going for with this, and we'll talk about that in a second.

  But let's see what they got left for draft picks. All right, So

  here we go. Here's what the Bears have left for next year. This
• 6:47
  is what they got so far. They have a first round pick, They
• 6:51
  have a second round pick of their own. They have a second round pick
• 6:55
  via the Panthers. So we have a first round pick and two second round
• 6:59
  picks for next year. We also have a third round pick, a fourth
• 7:02
  round pick, a fifth round pick, two sixth round picks. The first
• 7:08
  one is theirs and the second one is via the Dolphins. And then we
• 7:12
  have a third sixth round pick via the Steelers that we traded for Justin Fields
• 7:17
  that could turn into a fourth round pick for next year. So we have
• 7:24
  a ton of picks at our disposal right now. Do we need one,
• 7:30
  two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight nine picks?

  Probably not. You don't need that many picks if the Bears build a
• 7:42
  team that can win ten games this year, which I believe looking at that
• 7:46
  offense, we can win ten games. We won seven with less, Okay,

  and everyone knows that we had less last year. And I'm not even

  talking quarterback wise because Justin Fields. To me, I'm excited about Caleb Williams.

  But at the same time, I am still that Justin's not gonna be

  here because I believe that Poles finally did what no GM in Bears history has
• 8:07
  ever done, and that's built a winner for a quarterback. It's very rare
• 8:11
  that that happens in Chicago with any sport. That we build winners. Okay,

  we built a winner in the nineties for the Bulls. They built a
• 8:20
  winner in the early twenty tens for the Hawks. You know, we built
• 8:24
  a one season winner for the Cubs. They built a one season winner for
• 8:28
  the White Sox. So I mean, we've had winning teams here, but
• 8:33
  we didn't build winning teams for like basketball since the nineties. We didn't build
• 8:41
  We built them. In the early twenty tens for the Hawks, they won
• 8:45
  three. Okay, this is a Bears team that if you keep building towards
• 8:48
  it could win multiple Super Bowls. And I know Packer fans, like my
• 8:52
  friend Corey, who listens once a while, he's gonna laugh, and he
• 8:54
  can laugh all he wants, because here's the thing. When we do beat
• 8:58
  the Packers this year, at least one out of two, and I believe
• 9:01
  Caleb is gonna take one outitude from the Packers this year. In fact,

  I'm so confident that if he does beat the Packers in one game, I
• 9:11
  already put on Facebook I will paint my fingernails and honor him because he does
• 9:15
  that, and I don't have an issue with that. I don't have an
• 9:18
  issue with these guys doing this kind of stuff. It's a new day and

  age. People get manicures and pedicures that used to be considered girly. But
• 9:26
  nobody has a problem with men going to get manicures and pedicures. When when
• 9:30
  manicures and pedicures first started, it was for women. Now you see the

  manliest the dudes out there getting manicures and pedicures. I know a lot of
• 9:37
  them myself that do it. I don't, but I know a lot of
• 9:39
  people that do. I probably don't because I necessarily can't afford to do all

  that kind of stuff, So that's probably why I don't do it, but

  I probably would try it. I don't think anybody wants to see these feet,

  but they'd be like, clear, my afternoon appointment's all we need.

  The grinder. Yeah, you don't want you don't want to go and do

  and age. But I told people on social media and I will do this

  if Caleb Williams can beat the Packers just one time out of the two,

  not a preseason though I don't know what the preseason schedule looks like. It

  has to be in the regular season, I don't care about the preseason.

  You know, we'll most likely see Caleb starting. I think that one mistake

  that Eberflus made last year with Justin feels that I don't think he will make

  again, which I'm sure Poles already said. This is a rookie, you

  need to put him in in the preseason. He needs to play. He
• 10:39
  needs to get used to the NFL competition, because if he doesn't and he
• 10:43
  goes into the regular season like Justin did last year, he's going to struggle.

  And we don't want that for him. We want to build a winner
• 10:50
  in Chicago for once. We want the fans to have a winner, and
• 10:54
  I believe that's what we have now. But I did say if he beats
• 10:58
  the Packers during the regular in just one time out of the two, I'll

  pay my fingernails orange and blue for the Bears. So I'll have like,
• 11:07
  you know, one orange, one blue, one orange, one blue,
• 11:09
  one orange, one blue, you know, like all the way through all
• 11:11
  ten fingers. I will do that, and I'll keep it for one week.

  I'll go everywhere when my nails paint it for one week because that's an
• 11:18
  honor for me to do that for Caleb Williams, because he deserves it.

  If he could come in here and beat the Packers. When's the last time
• 11:26
  we beat Green Bay? I'll tell you now, we've lost nine straight.

  We play them twice a year now. I don't know if that includes a
• 11:35
  playoff. I didn't look that well into it to see if it was a
• 11:39
  playoff game, and I don't believe it was. I believe that all nine
• 11:43
  were regular season games. I'm trying to think, did we ever lose to

  the Packers in the playoffs in the last four seasons and one game, because
• 11:52
  that's what it was, four seasons in one game, because we play them
• 11:56
  twice a year. But I don't believe the answer is yes to that.

  I don't think we've played the Packers in the playoffs. When's the last time

  we made the playoffs? We did make him once with Trubisky, but it

  wasn't the Packers because we did lose that game on the double doing to Philly,

  So yeah, no, it was all regular season that we lost.

  So apparently that season we beat them probably in the first game, and then

  we lost the second game and we lost eight more after that, And that's
• 12:24
  unacceptable for a rivalry that people love and they put on national TV. The

  NFL wants that to be. We don't know who's gonna win. Is it

  gonna be Jordan Love or Caleb Williams. We don't know who's gonna win this
• 12:39
  game. It could go either way. It could be a back and forth
• 12:41
  shootout between two good NFC North teams. This is what we want. My
• 12:46
  friend Corey makes fun of the Bears a lot, but I can guarantee that
• 12:50
  he would love to see the Bears and Packers have a real life rivalry where
• 12:56
  they play each other and you don't know who's gonna win, and it's a
• 13:01
  shootout between two good quarterbacks. Because, believe it or not, whether you
• 13:03
  want to say it or not, Jordan Love is going to be a good
• 13:07
  quarterback. He was good last year in his first year, and he's gonna
• 13:09
  be good every year. He it's just what the Packers do. They breed
• 13:13
  good quarterbacks. You can't deny that Aaron Rodgers was a great quarterback for the
• 13:18
  Packers. On Brett Farv, you can't deny that. We're not even talking
• 13:22
  Bart Starr or any of them. We're talking like current, like between the
• 13:26
  eighties and now, what's the best that the Packers have had three in a
• 13:31
  row. You've had Brett Farvre, You've had Aaron Rodgers, and then you've
• 13:35
  had now Jordan Love. I will tip my cap to the Packers. They
• 13:41
  know how to build a quarterback in Green Bay. But I don't think you
• 13:46
  need to build Caleb Williams because we're giving him the tools from the start to
• 13:54
  be successful, Like you don't need him to sit and watch because now you're
• 13:58
  giving him three amazing receivers. So before we talk about what the Bears did,

  now do we do? I think that they're gonna trade today or tomorrow.

  Probably not. I think we're gonna stick with the two we got.

  I think Poles is gonna use those draft picks as possible trade bait to a

  team with an established player. That's what I think Poles is gonna do.

  I don't see him getting into the second round. I don't see him getting

  into the you know, they have one in the third round and then the
• 14:26
  one in the fourth. I don't see them getting in the fifth, sixth,
• 14:28
  or seventh round unless he sees a guy on the board who he's like,

  Man, that guy's still there. I want him, but I don't

  see that happening. I think if he's gonna get a player like that,
• 14:41
  he's gonna get one in the third and the fourth round. I don't foresee
• 14:43
  him going fifth, sixth, or seventh round for that. So I think

  he keeps his nine draft picks for next year and uses them as bait for
• 14:52
  this year, because if the Bears do win ten games next year and make
• 14:56
  a playoff because of the wild card and everything, they're not gonna get a
• 15:00
  good draft pick next year. So that number one pick ain't gonna be worth
• 15:03
  much. Okay, it's not gonna be a lottery pick. It's not gonna
• 15:07
  be anything like that. So yeah, to me, you can use any
• 15:13
  of those as trade base. I'd see how the season goes. Watch how
• 15:16
  the season goes, and see where you're at, because if you know you're

  doing good, you get rid of the first round pick. Somebody will take

  it. Anybody wants to draft in an extra draft pick in the first round.

  Anybody wants that little Minnesota trading up twice in that draft. I mean,

  teams want those spots so, you know, because they may find a
• 15:39
  guy at seventeen to twenty, which is most likely where the Bears would draft
• 15:43
  if they made the playoffs. And I'm saying, if I mean we don't
• 15:46
  know, we'll never know. You say Green Bay's going the playoffs, you
• 15:48
  don't know. You don't know who's going to the playoffs next year. We
• 15:52
  don't know who's going. But we do know that the Bears have improved their
• 15:56
  lineup. And I actually watched a Packer for last night who literally said that,

  you know, he hates the Bears, obviously because he's a Packer fan,
• 16:07
  but he said that team is going to be very high powered on offense.

  And he's right. I think he's right, and I think a lot
• 16:15
  of people think he's right. But we'll see what happens. You know,

  a lot of stuff can happen from you know, don't forget too you got
• 16:22
  injuries. Things can happen, So we'll see. But the season excuse me,

  I have hiccups. The season does look very promising right now as of

  now, and that's on paper, so we'll see what happens. But here

  we go. So here's the NFL draft last night. Round one. Here's

  the results. Round one. Pick one was obviously the Chicago Bears. We

  chose Caleb Williams from USC. Number two was Jaden Daniels to Washington. Not
• 16:51
  a big shocker there. I don't think anybody was shocked in that one.

  Number three, the New England Patriots took Drake May, the core back out
• 17:00
  of North Carolina. Not a shocker there. I called that one too.

  Number four Marvin Harrison Junior to Arizona. Kyler Murray needed a big receiver to
• 17:10
  throw to. He got it now. My friend who lives out in Arizona
• 17:14
  Ray. He told me last night though, because he lives out there now,
• 17:18
  I told him, I'm like, you may win some games with him.
• 17:21
  He's like, slow down though the rest of the team's not that great.
• 17:25
  I don't watch them religiously because I don't live out there. He's a
• 17:26
  Bears fan, but he most likely does watch the cardinal games because he has
• 17:30
  a lot of friends out in Arizona, who are Cardinal fans. So yeah

  to him. You know, he probably does cheer them on, and he
• 17:40
  has the right to do that. If you move to a city, you
• 17:41
  could still be a fan of your team, but still cheer on the team
• 17:45
  that's in your city. Now, if you had to move to Green Bay

  for some reason, that's a little different. I wouldn't be cheering on green
• 17:51
  Bay. Number five, the Chargers went with Joe Alt, not a shocker
• 17:56
  from Notre Dame. That was not a shocker at all. I picked that
• 17:59
  one. I figured they were going offensive line. I knew they weren't going
• 18:04
  tight end or wide receiver there, so Joe All made the most sense.

  Uh, there were other good offensive tackles out there and stuff that they could
• 18:17
  have picked, but they didn't. Joe All. It's a good pick.

  Number six, Malik Neighbors went to New York. We knew they were gonna
• 18:23
  go either for a quarterback or a wide receiver in New York, and they
• 18:26
  did. They got one of the top three I'll say top three receivers.

  I mean obviously Marvin Harrison Junior was projected to go before all them, and
• 18:41
  then Molak Neighbors and then Romadonsay and they went in that order. Number seven
• 18:47
  the Tennessee Titans. Nowt here's the crazy part. There were no trades in
• 18:51
  the top nine. Crazy because usually there is. It's usually a trade.

  But New York was and so was San Diego. They were on the phones
• 19:00
  with possible trade, you know, and stuff and never took it. So
• 19:07
  they did say they were on the clock. So it was Arizona. They
• 19:10
  were talking about trading their pick too, and they were on the phones up
• 19:15
  until they decided, no, we're gonna stick with what we got, and
• 19:17
  that's when they took Marvin Harrison Junior. But they were seeing what was out
• 19:19
  there. Remember, anything in the top five can get you a haul,

  just almost like what the Bears got last year with Carolina. They get Carolina,
• 19:27
  by the way, because we just got a possibly franchise altering quarterback.

  I'll talk more about the picks for the Bears after I'm done with all this.

  Number seven was the Tennessee Titans. They went with JC Latham. I

  wasn't shocked with that. I called that one, well, I called a

  few different ones with that because it's hard to tell, you know, because
• 19:49
  there's that position. It could go a lot of different ways, but I
• 19:52
  did say it last night and it was right now. Number eight. Nobody

  saw this coming. A trade would have been less shocking than what Atlanta pulled.

  Everybody thought Dallas Turner was going. Everybody thought he was going to Atlanta,

  including Dallas Turner, and I'll talk about that in a minute too.

  They drafted Michael Pennix junior at quarterback, which everyone's like, Kirk Cousins is

  their quarterback and they have a backup. But here's the thing. I can

  see where they're going. Will Kirk Cousins stay there long term with them,

  so he molds Michael Pennix junior, Michael Pennis junior, just like Drake May
• 20:36
  will not be instant starters. They've already talked about that, Jadeen Daniels,
• 20:40
  will and soul Caleb Williams. But Drake May is gonna sit at least a
• 20:45
  year or two. They already have a starting quarterback there. They brought him
• 20:51
  in to mold him. They wanted to do different than what they did because
• 20:56
  Mac Jones. They just threw him out there to the wolves, kind of
• 21:00
  like they did with Justin Fields. Now, sometimes you have to do that.

  But if you don't have to the best way to do it is sit

  them for a year or two. Now, usually with your number one pick,

  you're not gonna sit them. Okay, if you have the number one

  pick, they should be instant starter. Usually number one and two are instant

  starters. Three and up it's a little different. But yeah, Michael Pennix

  Junior will sit behind Kirk Cousins. I don't want anybody to have all these

  rumors that, oh my god, Kirk Cousins is gonna have to compete.

  He's not competing for that starting spot. He's gonna train Michael Pennix Junior how

  to be a good quarterback that can win games, because that's one thing.

  Kirk Cousins might not win championships, but he does win games. Okay,

  he did it in Minnesota. I'm sure he'll do it in Atlanta. But

  yeah, shocker of the night. And I think everybody, including the announcers

  on NFL network, we're just like, what it just happened? They were

  like in shock, like Dallas Turner is not an Atlanta Falcon. But yeah,

  so alright, so number nine was the Chicago Bears. Of course we

  took Roma doon Za I was so excited. Now, this could have went

  anyway. There was a lot of guys that could have ended up here,

  but they did it. We ended up with Roma Dunzey and I'm excited.

  We'll talk about the Bears lineup coming up in a few minutes too. So

  alright, so number ten, now that was a trade. There was a

  trade at number ten. The Jets were number ten. They traded for the

  eleventh pick, which was Minnesota. They traded back one spot when Minnesota,

  Minnesota knew who they wanted. My boy and he's from Illinois, but he's

  also my boy because he's the was the quarterback of Michigan, took us to
• 22:41
  a fifteen and o season, twenty seven and one for his career and a
• 22:47
  national champion two national championships. J J. McCarthy went to the Minnesota Vikings.

  Now, I love JJ, but I'm not excited about one thing.

  Now, JJ McCarthy being with Minnesota, that is a confident interest for me.

  I love JJ. He's from Illinois and he was from the college that

  I would have went to if I would have went to actual real college and

  stuff. When I was younger, I always wanted to go to Michigan,

  but then I just never did, and I'm telling you now I can't cheer

  him out when he plays for the Vikings. But he won't be an instant

  starter. I don't think. I believe he'll sit too for at least a
• 23:33
  year or two before he actually starts. He might, he'll he'll start when

  you know there's an injury, or he may come in the game if they're
• 23:41
  winning by a lot or losing by a lot, they bring in the backup.

  So I mean, he'll play in the preseason, but he's not gonna

  be an instant starter, I don't think. But we who knows. I

  mean, we don't know what's gonna happen. Number eleven, Now, this

  was a shocker two because I really thought they were gonna want to give Aaron

  Rodgers another weapon to pass to. So brock Bauers made the most sense,

  and they ended up going with Ala Maana Fashanu. It's crazy, that's got

  to be a Hawaiian name. But yeah, so it went to him.

  I was very shocked they went o line on that one. But then again,

  you know, obviously you want to keep Aaron Rodgers upright, He's already

  got an injury that he's coming back from. That's not a good injury to

  come back from, especially when you're like almost forty years old like he is.

  So you know, obviously you do want to protect them. But who's

  he going to pass to? You know? And that to me is a

  big, a big thing, you know, Like who is Aaron Rodgers is

  going to pass it to Brock Bowers. I was never I never argued with

  anybody that said that Brock Bauwers is not going to be a game changing tight

  end. Okay, he's going to be a possible Travis Kelce Gronkowski, you

  know. I mean, he's gonna be up there with guys like that.

  But I didn't want to see him in Chicago because I don't feel we needed
