- 0:14It is time to leave your worries outside and come laugh with us inside the
- 0:20treehouse. On a Friday, July fifth, twenty twenty four. I hope
- 0:27you had a happy and of course safe Fourth of July, and if you
- 0:32did celebrating, I really hope that it was in a safe manner, unlike
- 0:39I'm sure most of our Fourth of julys as children that were the opposite of
- 0:45safe. In fact, I'm pretty sure Osha was invented because of the childhood
- 0:50endangerment that happened in the eighties while celebrating the Fourth of July in my backyard.
- 0:55Not sure about you, guys, but I would imagine Trade was similar,
- 0:57especially considering he too lived in the country for a spell living in Mesquite.
- 1:03I imagine you saw some dangerous things around the Port of July. Man,
- 1:06I had a blank cat exploat in my hand. Nice, I had
- 1:11an explode in mind. I've had an airbag exploding mine. I've been stuck
- 1:15in a rocket closet. I've been stuck in the gate tent. Du What
- 1:19I'm just gonna stop different was the one I have? I have a storied
- 1:23past. What was the last one? U? I remember that? Not
- 1:30as well? As I do gay tent Alex Alex radio bits were different in
- 1:37the in the early to mid two thousands than they are these days, gotcha
- 1:42because mainly because consent is now a major thing in society, whereas back then
- 1:46not as much. Yeah, nothing, nothing that extreme. I was I
- 1:51had a black Cat in my hand, and we had propped the screen door
- 1:55open, like the front of the door. We had the door and then
- 1:57the glass door that I was there, and I propped the glass door open,
- 2:00did not realize it had shut after the last black cat explosion, and
- 2:06I want to throw a black Cat out on the porch, and my hand
- 2:08hit the glass and it was just far enough away from my hand that when
- 2:14it exploded, I felt it. But then I just got a little black
- 2:17soot. Now, how did it exploded in my hand closed fist? I'm
- 2:22assuming I would have what's the name of the of the giant who's missing fingers
- 2:30because of that exact reason, Oh the Giants player that was here, Paul,
- 2:36Yeah, yeah, so I would have I would have lost, I
- 2:39would have been I would have been pinky thumbed. So how old were you?
- 2:44Probably like twelve, so around the age of twelve, celebrating the fourth
- 2:49of July. You held a black cat in your hand and it exploded.
- 2:53Do you think maybe you think maybe Sammy Davis Junior was mad because you were
- 2:57holding him against his will. Man, Oh, he's a black cat.
- 3:02I get it. I got to I'm picking up witch puting now. Yeah,
- 3:06that's a throwback. That's a throwback a long time our long time listeners
- 3:08are going to really appreciate that. I think back on it because my dad
- 3:13liked to drink gym Beam and uhlways had the big one point seventy five and
- 3:17so that that was you know, always emptied the bottle of gym Beam and
- 3:21then we'd go out and fire works. Okay, now that's awesome. There
- 3:28was an exploitive that I wanted to put before that, but you know what
- 3:30it is. Oh yeah, uh he would what time would he start the
- 3:34one point seventy five? Oh? I mean he wouldn't like polish off a
- 3:37bottle in a day or anything, but that was always I mean, he
- 3:40would either save one or or if one was low, you know, he
- 3:44would. My dad was not. My dad always said if he had not
- 3:49met my stepmother, he would have become an alcoholic. But yoh, so
- 3:53he would just have, you know, a couple. It was just in
- 3:57my experience of which it is fairly extensive over the last handful of years,
- 4:03drinking an entire handle of anything in one day is not good for you.
- 4:12You really scientifically, you think I can't speak scientifically. I'm just speaking anecdotally.
- 4:19I just know what I've seen and what I've smelled. Yeah, I
- 4:24think I was in Vegas many many many years ago and between me and my
- 4:30feature actor who wasn't a whiskey guy, who he had like a couple and
- 4:35we did the one seventy five in like forty eight hours like that was and
- 4:42he only had a couple out of that. The rest of it was all
- 4:44me and even and that was that was enough to where I was like,
- 4:47Okay, like I gotta stop for a minute, because that is a that's
- 4:53a bit too much. Yeah, I will say though, Trey's dad working
- 4:57through a handle of Jim Beam on the fourth July sets the tone I think
- 5:02for the celebration to come, and Trey, I'm wondering if if you celebrated
- 5:06in the similar fashion I did, and that was by being the designated lighter
- 5:13and followed up with my father screaming now run. Yeah, that's pretty much.
- 5:19Uh, you know, I I've one thing of the trendhole men,
- 5:24is that we're all pyramaniacs. I'm glad to see that runs in the family.
- 5:30But yeah, Dad would make sure, you know, we would have
- 5:33something so to lean the bottle against. So you know, it kind of
- 5:39wasn't going straight up but kind of away from us, you know, safety
- 5:42first. Of course, it was always paying attention while the lawn dark game
- 5:47was happening. The only thing I remember is my mother though we got Roman
- 5:56candles and we're Indian folks. We don't do this stuff. I thought there
- 6:00were fireworks and stuff on on. Yeah, but there's people that do that,
- 6:05Like I mean, you have like what they're called crackers. They're like
- 6:09black cats. So they come in a big giant string, like a big
- 6:12giant like like one hundred two hundred, three hundred five hundred pack, and
- 6:15then at the very end it's a long wick so that you can do of
- 6:20white dudes, yes, that we'd like to light on fire. I don't
- 6:27blame you with you know, with the British occupation for something. That's why
- 6:30that's why more people should invite Indian people over four fourth of July. We
- 6:33have so much in common. If you don't believe me, ask the British.
- 6:40But uh so you get the big one. But it has like a
- 6:43very lengthy string so you can light it like as far like ten feet away
- 6:46from you. You can light that wick and then it'll go down and it'll
- 6:49set all those off. But like the big explosion stuff, like there's people
- 6:53that do that in India, Like they have the big like the fireworks,
- 6:56you see it like a fair park or kaboom town. Yeah, there's people
- 6:59dead native for that. But we got the Roman candles because in in Texas,
- 7:02they'll just give them to you as a child. Yeah, you don't
- 7:06need any training, that's for me. That's how you learned. Yeah,
- 7:13was playing with the Roman candles and pointing them at each other in fiery.
- 7:18We set up roadside stands just to make sure we can get fireworks to everyone.
- 7:27And what's what's more patriotic than the freedom to buy pirup technic explosive materials
- 7:33as a seven year old. That's exactly right. Some people lose their loved
- 7:36ones to war, some people lose them to fireworks. So it's still a
- 7:43sacrifice. I believe it's still a rockets, red glare and bob bursting in
- 7:48the air to the instead of a rifle. The boots go next to a
- 7:56jim Bean bottle. No shot left behind. But my mom had the Roman
- 8:05candle turned the wrong way. Luckily, she was talking to somebody and she
- 8:09kind of set her hand down so it was going. It didn't hit her,
- 8:13It just went straight back to the people that were not expecting giant balls
- 8:18of fire to come at them, so that was hilarious. Then she did
- 8:22the thing that everybody should do in that situation is drop it and run forward.
- 8:26So then it hit the ground and everybody that was sitting on the blankets
- 8:31were then kind of it was hilarious to watch. People were just diving left
- 8:35and right. I've seen videos like that online. Those are among my favorites.
- 8:39But the other thing I'm learning through this is that something else, obviously
- 8:43that we have as Americans with the Indians, is not only kicking the British
- 8:50out of our country, but doing so with the element of surprise. We
- 8:56didn't use any surprise. We just kind of just wore them down, and
- 9:00four hundred and fifty years later they left. You guys actually had muskets and
- 9:05and fortitude. We're just like gorilla warfare. Yeah, we're just like we'll
- 9:09polite them to death. That's an interesting tactic. Yeah, okay, that's
- 9:15so obviously to brush up on my history, we used uh, you know,
- 9:18gerrilla warfare tactics and the revolutionary war popping out of bushes and stuff.
- 9:22Whereas where is in India? You just made them so bored they just wanted
- 9:28to go home. We just reminded them, how, you know, it's
- 9:31like it's so hot here, how is it there? And like, you
- 9:35know, it's really nice, you should go back and see some family.
- 9:37And that's how we got them all to just just wore them down. Over
- 9:41four hun and fifty years, we did have some pretty amazing freedom fighters,
- 9:45but for the uh, but you also sent them home with food and and
- 9:48we went there in open restaurants for them, and they let us and then
- 9:54we just kept going. And now Patail is the most common surname in all
- 9:58of the UK. So that actually is an interesting way to go. It's
- 10:03it's it's the infiltration going back the other way, that's exactly right. So
- 10:07that's why I date with white women. Is I'm a patriot? Oh I
- 10:11thought you were going to say it was payback. Well, yes, that's
- 10:15when I'm saying. I'm an Indian patriot at heart. So I will take
- 10:18it out on one white girl at a time. What for my people?
- 10:26What happens? What happens if she's white but she's like got Swedish heritage?
- 10:30You canna say that. I mean, hey, there's nothing wrong with banging
- 10:33an ally. You know what I mean? It doesn't always have to be
- 10:39an enemy. Damn, fair point. I got you're listening to the Treehouse.

- 11:20what was fourth of July like when you were a kid? Was it was
- 11:22it a light and run like it was for me? Fourth of July was
- 11:26like an exciting holiday. I think Fourth of July and Halloween when you're a
- 11:31kid is just so fun. I mean, it's just like the fireworks,
- 11:33you know. Back then, you know, fireworks weren't like like everything else
- 11:37that we're dealing with right now. It wasn't like this, you're gonna shoot
- 11:41your eye out kid. You know. It was kind of like we literally
- 11:43would have bottle rocket you know, folk wars. We would throw black casts
- 11:48at each other. One of us will get one of those big roly ball
- 11:54looking fireworks and throw it, you know, and see how much stuff you
- 11:56could blow up. I don't know. It was just we never thought about
- 12:01getting hurt. That never snuck into our mind. It was just the fun
- 12:05of crap blowing up. Yeah, no, I get it. It was
- 12:09the fun of blowing up your friends. Yes, it was like, Okay,
- 12:13if I hit him, that's gonna be like awesome, you know.
- 12:18Yeah. But now you as an adult and a business owner of a very
- 12:22prestigious roofing company, now you're thinking, hey, shoot those fireworks all up
- 12:26and down that roof, because you should probably get a phone call today tomorrow
- 12:31people coming out and going, hey, I think I had a few fireworks
- 12:35land on my roof. Could you come take a look called Daniell let him

- 13:41But first birthdays on this Friday, July fifth, twenty twenty four. Birthdays
- 13:52today from Lady A formerly Lady Mtebellum. The country group Dave Haywood is forty
- 13:58one play the polyd on Jersey Sure his name Paul del Vecchio, He is
- 14:03forty four today. Uh the singer for Lifehouse, Smash Hit, Hanging by
- 14:07a Moment all the way back. That was ninety nine, two thousand,
- 14:13somewhere in that range. Jason Wade, he is forty four today R and
- 14:18B star Joe is fifty. Yeah, you can't. You can't be an
- 14:22R and B star in today's R and B world with a name like Joe
- 14:28unless it's spelled weird or something, just a Jay maybe, but it's pronounced
- 14:37Joe. Yeah, yeah, I remember Joe. He was a he had
- 14:41he had the ladies swimming mm hmm. Yeah, they don't have and and
- 14:46there is there still R and B? Is there? Does there is there
- 14:48still a category of such? I don't know of anybody. I know,
- 14:50there's all the nostalgia tours of them, but like, you can't, like
- 14:54we had good R and B names back in the day, like Keith Sweat,
- 14:58Come on now, I mean he's he's yeah, Jo Deasy, I'll
- 15:01be sure. I love. Yeah, maybe the name there, but the
- 15:09talent was certainly there. I don't know. I haven't really, I don't
- 15:15think there are any like R and B traditional R and B current artists.
- 15:20Yeah, it's just ugly mumble rappers. Now that's that's the that's the that's
- 15:24what people like is the well we can't understand them, but aren't they great?
- 15:30But yeah, but like then with like the names now like we've got
- 15:33little YACHTI like, wasn't the goal when you became a rapper to have a
- 15:37big yachty? Like isn't that the you wanted to? Like you wanted to
- 15:41have a big boat. And then like a little oozy, don't you want
- 15:43to? Yeah, don't you loaded, buddy? I don't want a little
- 15:50losy. If I'm fighting somebody like you take a little loosy, I'm like,
- 15:52well I'm dead. Have y'all seen the clip and I've I don't know
- 15:58if it's real or not. That's but of the deaf rapper, yes,
- 16:03sound it's Africa's first deaf rapper. Deaf and mute, none of your don't
- 16:07leave that out because Marleon Man can still talk. Uh he is he's a
- 16:12deaf mute rapper. How does that work? You have to watch the clip
- 16:18and also no interpreter, So is he is he doing him? Like?
- 16:26Is he signing or is he just no, he's deaf and mute, so
- 16:30he's just going like full hip hop. Helen Keller. Yes, without the
- 16:37blind I will have to Uh, I'll have to look that up with uh
- 16:41huh what he can he can see what he's doing. Helen Keller blind,
- 16:47deaf and mute. Oh, that's right, this one just deaf mute.
- 16:49It's really good. It's uh so he's he's got a leg up on Helen
- 16:53Keller. Then yeah, uh, groundbreaking is what I would call it.
- 17:00Earth shattering. Oh, I figure groundbreaking was his first job. Well,
- 17:06earth shattering is a second, I promise you when you hear it. Other
- 17:11birthdays today. Edie Falco famously played carmelo soprano on The Sopranos is sixty one
- 17:17today. Mark Cohen won a Grammy for Best New Artist in nineteen ninety one
- 17:22thanks to his single Walking in Memphis. Then he disappeared for years until he's
- 17:26stuck his head out in public in August of two thousand and five, only
- 17:30to get shot in the head during an attempted carjacking. He survived, but
- 17:33then went back in his hole and has not been seen again. And finally,
- 17:37Huey Lewis from Huey Lewis and the News is seventy four today, one
- 17:42of the great all time soundtracks Back to the Future and yeah, it's Power
- 17:48of Love. Oh yeah, Jacob's latter was what There was their big hit
- 17:52album, and I was a big hughe loosen news fan. I was hoping
- 17:55that they would have a farewell tour, but I haven't heard any news.
- 17:59See what I no really tough crowd. Hey you went black Cat with Sammy
- 18:06Davis. I did, but because of your joke, I went to death
- 18:11and you will not be deaf and blind? Blind? That's what it is.
- 18:15And do you have it? Because I can see your face? And
- 18:19here we go, Dan? Are you ready all right? What's this guy's
- 18:23name? Is it baba something? Ooem baba? That's right? Okay,
- 18:34here you go. Are you ready all right? So deaf and mute African
- 18:41rapper mc baba, that is correct. No interpreter, sick beat, sicker
- 18:48vocals. It just sounds like someone put a beat to their screen therapy.
- 19:14Yeah, it's three and a half more minutes of that. No, every
- 19:18song is that? Does he have any love ballads? Do you want to
- 19:22hear it a little bit? I want to know his romantic side. Sounds
- 19:30like it's more of a muffled Yeah, I gotta figure out. I gotta
- 19:56figure out this is This is not a perform, This is not him recording
- 20:02an album or rapping or anything. This is just audio of a guy passing
- 20:06a kidney stone. Yes, uh that or he is uh he is Africa's
- 20:11number one falcon callar. I'm surprised in the middle of all the video,
- 20:18like birds just didn't start landing. Maybe he's saving that for the chorus and
- 20:29his new album, Flight of the Eagles. It's just him being carried away.
- 20:41Oh God, you're listening to the Treehouse lists online, that Treehouse on

- 21:11Plumbing, Texas dot com. Here we are the day after the Fourth of
- 21:15July. Fun was had, celebrations were had, fireworks were shot. What
- 21:18was the Fourth of July like for you as a kid in the in the
- 21:22Jacquelines family household. Okay, so my my grandparents, my mom's parents are
- 21:30literally off the boat Italians and off the boat Italians are tragically Catholic and the
- 21:37tragically Catholic have but like one hobby, and I think that's making more children.
- 21:41And so my mom is one of nine kids, and all nine kids
- 21:48are married and have like five more kids. I'm the only child, which
- 21:52I think was an accident. But we would get together as a family,
- 21:56and we had like a rotating schedule, like Uncle Rick would do Fourth of
- 21:59July, my mom would do Thanksgiving, Aunt Gina would do Christmas, and
- 22:02it would just go in a big circle through all the holidays. So imagine
- 22:07anybody that's seen basically my big fat Greek wedding, but instead of a wedding,
- 22:11it's a ridiculous just group of but more yelling, very loud Italian people
- 22:21having a very good time together. Sounds like a fun Fourth of July at
- 22:23the Jacqueline family household. Give them a call for any and all of those
- 22:26plumbing wants and needs two one, four, three, six, eight thirty
- 22:29eight thirty eight The website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. You're in the Treehouse.

- 23:03Plumbing the website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. Well, I'm not sure if
- 23:07I'll ever fully recover from hearing mc baba, which I'm not sure how they
- 23:15know his name is mc baba because it doesn't sound like he can say any
- 23:18bees. Yeah, that's my favorite. My buddy Jerry Bedknob, he's a.
- 23:23He's in the forty year old version. He's a Indian the f a
- 23:26goat. Oh yeah, yeah, he's a. He's a really good friend
- 23:30of my used to bring him up on stage and introduce him as my dad.
- 23:33But he has the best joke ever. He's like meta kid. I
- 23:37met a deaf kid named David. Why why do deaf kids have names?
- 23:42Like? Who is that for? They'll never hear it. I'm going to
- 23:49see if I can still use my ASL to if I can remember how to
- 23:53do the alphabet to do David. That's d A ideep. Yeah, but
- 24:02he's like it's like one. It was like they're never going to be like
- 24:06a deaf kid walking in front of and be like Mike, Mike, Oh
- 24:08yeah. They needed something for the birth certificate, so he got baba.
- 24:18That might have been the word he was able to say as a child.
- 24:21And that's just what's stuck. I just don't know how you go, like
- 24:23how you get hype, Like you know what, I've got two tickets of
- 24:26that mc baba show. You you have earplugs? Are you guys ready?
- 24:33Speaking of shows? Two worlds collided this past weekend. One uh, and
- 24:41there are two very large worlds. Two very large worlds collided. One I'm
- 24:48speaking figuratively and two I'm speaking literally because last weekend in Nashville, at John
- 24:56bon Jovi's new bar, Shaquillo Neil met the Hawk to a girl. M
- 25:04wow. They hung out a little bit, apparently. Shaquille O'Neil, for
- 25:12those that don't know, is his side hustle is djang He's a club DJ.
- 25:18So. As part of the big grand opening for John bon Jovi's new
- 25:22place in Nashville, Shaquille O'Neil was there to bring down the house on the
- 25:26ones and the twos. And I don't know if Hawk to a Girl was
- 25:30there as part of a promotional appearance or it's just because she just bar hops
- 25:34on in Nashville every weekend, which is very possible. But I do have
- 25:41a little snippet for you that of the moment when Shaquille O'Neil brought uh,
- 25:47the Hawk to a girl on stage to share the to share the limelight,
- 25:52just a moment. We'll bring this audio up because as you said, you
- 25:59said earlier, j that uh, uh, how hot to a girl is?
- 26:03You know, riding this wave of fame for everything it is worth.
- 26:07Yes, you know what. It may be a one trick pony show,
- 26:23but it run with it while you can. Yeah, and then you're gonna
- 26:29and then and then it's gonna fade, and it's then it's gonna be a
- 26:30one trick donkey show and then it's just gonna I think that was immediately after
- 26:37the set that Shack played. It sure felt like it. I'm sure it
- 26:45did the uh because that's what I thought when I saw the photo the other
- 26:51day of Shaquille O'Neil hanging out with the Hawk to a Girl. Uh,
- 26:55it was Okay, well, okay, Shaq has met the Hawk to a
- 26:57girl, and it's what I'm now calling the Hawk to a challenge. Let's
- 27:04see, let's see how much spit you got, honey. She's going to
- 27:12be sponsored by some sort of electroly like drink. Stay as hydrated as the
- 27:22Hawk to a girl on a Saturday night. If that's not in the works,
- 27:27yeah, everybody, everybody in promotional marketing needs to be fired. And
- 27:32then she was at some there was some country concert that she was out where
- 27:34they brought her up on stage because at first it thought it was a guest
- 27:37appearance, but it turns out she was in fear of her life and security
- 27:41put her on stage so that she wouldn't be harassed. Oh yes, that's
- 27:47what the new spin on It is, so as opposed to she was or
- 27:53paid to be there or yeah, or it's something along those lines. Yeah
- 27:56yeah, but now they were like, no, no, she wasn't paid
- 27:59to be there. She was in fear of her life. She was very
- 28:03appropriately dressed for the event in uh, knee high cowboy boots and white short
- 28:10shorts, white shirt, white cowboy hat. That's that standard girl outfit at
- 28:15country shows. MM hm. So, I don't know if she was in
- 28:18fear of her life or if she was actually just paid to be there,
- 28:21but they're putting some nice spin on it. Yeah. I saw an interview
- 28:23with her. I think I barstool Sports are outkicked, but she actually comes
- 28:29across very nice and down to earth. I mean, yeah, but she's
- 28:34gonna ride this wave and then yeah, surely wants to cash in on it.
- 28:38There's an only her only fans account would make her millions in a few
- 28:42months. Yeah, that's and she should, and she should. She should.
- 28:48I was gonna say, hop on that, but that's a terrible way
- 28:49to break. In order to hop on in order to hop on shock,
- 28:52she's gonna have to climb first. Yeah, I just yeah, she should.
- 29:00Nothing you could say, like jump on that bandwagon, like you can't
- 29:04anything talking about the hot deo girl just is gonna infer that. Well,
- 29:08I mean, you know, yeah, well, I mean and good for
- 29:15her, she's getting her you know, I feel I just feel bad for
- 29:18the tens of thousands of really talented people that can't get representation. And all
- 29:22she had to do is go this is what I do, and the whole
- 29:26world went, yes, you do sometimes that's just how it works. Yeah,
- 29:33yeah, that's what I always say. I mean, if you go
- 29:34back early, you know, late nineties, early two thousands, there were
- 29:38thousands of people more talented than Britney Spears. Yeah. But I mean,
- 29:44if you know, you have to ask yourself this. If they wouldn't have
- 29:47picked Britney Spears, would we have this beautiful train wreck that we do today.
- 29:52No, we wouldn't. Oh there's there's that's it. Yes, you
- 29:56would. She's trailer park in Louisiana. Yes, but will she doing the
- 30:00same thing? Will she be dancing with machetes? Probably? It just wouldn't
- 30:08be here for such a large audience. On what's that tray? It'd be
- 30:17on cops. You're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online that Treehouse on
- 30:27Air dot com. Yeah, she'd be lived famous, Mama June's best friend,
- 30:40Mama June's hot best friend, dance not a lawnmower, ri I did
- 30:51it again? Hit me baby one more time. Would have a whole new
- 30:59meeting. There we go. You're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online
- 31:18at Treehouse on Air dot com. You're in the Treehouse. Visit us online
- 31:36at Treehouse on air dot com. Uh, I just want to say thank
- 31:44you guys for the for the show today. Uh. The wife and I
- 31:47have had a difficult past couple of days, not so much because of Hurricane
- 31:51Beryl kind of coming close. It really wasn't that close to it. It
- 31:55looked like it in the radar a couple of times, but it really wasn't
- 31:56that close. It's it's more so because of Carnival that is happening on the
- 32:01Island of Saint John right now, or it was. It culminates on it.
- 32:08It culminates on the fourth of July, and so like Emancipation Day for
- 32:14the Island of Saint John where slavery ended and everything was July third, I
- 32:17forget the year, and then July fourth, for you know, United States
- 32:22Independence is the next day, and they kind of combined certain events. But
- 32:25basically what I'm getting at is we were on limited sleep this past week because
- 32:30the way they celebrate here is by partying, and by partying they don't start
- 32:37that till like ten o'clock at night and then they go until like three in
- 32:40the morning. And our apartment happens to be very close to town and to
- 32:47the stage where they play the loud music. So I've been thumping all week,
- 32:53but against my will. There was a time, there was a time
- 33:01that would have been completely normal for you and been like, yeah I was.
- 33:05I was just saying, you're you're turning into a curmudgeon. I'm not
- 33:08a curmudgeon. I want people to have a good time. I just kind
- 33:12of and a reasonable decibel level. Yes, it's kind of like you guys
- 33:19have fun, but keep it down? Yes? Is that is that too
- 33:22much to ask? No? Not when you're ninety. I'm like David Schwimmer
- 33:29and friends, and I'm trying to tell I'm going out on the balcony to
- 33:31the revelers, going yeah, that's why they kicked you out of the apartment.
- 33:39I kicked myself out. I'm just saying, like, that's a did
- 33:45you did you? Did you? Did you like pump a fist in the
- 33:46air like you kids in your loud music. Well? I couldn't say get
- 33:52off my lawn because I don't have one. It's an apartment, but you
- 33:57have. I did I did? Unfor all a banner that said keep it
- 34:00down? Did you really? No? I'm not stupid, Okay, I
- 34:06was just gonna say that's how people got you know, that's the people we
- 34:09would pick the tep either house. And that's why I don't. That's why
- 34:13I don't do that. Yeah, because I'm not a moron. Yeah,
- 34:16And you know, I'm sorry that kept you up so so so much,
- 34:22pastor. But when what time do you normally get to bed on on say,
- 34:25an off night, like the night that you don't have to be anywhere
- 34:30the next day? What's the what's it? What's the O'Malley sleep time?
- 34:32What's what time does the lights go out in the O'Malley house? I really
- 34:37want to tell you. Can I guess? Please? Don't? I think
- 34:45that's late? Shut up? Trick. The sun sets much earlier here,
- 34:52okay, yes, but and then the clock stopped working about Yeah, I
- 35:02go to bed earlier these days. All right, A couple of things to
- 35:06throw at you on this Friday episode before we break off for the weekend and
- 35:12I try to catch up on some sleep. And that is where sorcery is
- 35:16not a criminal offense? And from gamer to Saint, choose your adventure,
- 35:22gentleman, which one would you like to hear about? First? I want
- 35:27to know where sorcery is a criminal offense. If you can, I'll let
- 35:31you google that, and while you google that, I will tell you where
- 35:36sorcery is not a criminal offense. How about that? Okay? Once I
- 35:44can find it, give me one second. This is the problem I run
- 35:50into is I have too many tabs open and I can't find the stuff that
- 35:52I was originally looking for. There's a sinkhole thing for that? All that
- 35:59one shark bite someone else in Florida, no shaker there, Here we go.
- 36:05State minister in the Mall Deves has been arrested over a black magic spell
- 36:09cast on the president. There. Yeah, police and the Mall Deeps have
- 36:15arrested a state environment minister. This is in the Mall Debs. That's in
- 36:22the Indian Ocean. Police there reported she was accused of performing black magic on
- 36:28the president. The state Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Energy, Fatima
- 36:36Shamnaz alisea Lim, was arrested on Sunday along with two others in the capitol.
- 36:40She's been remanded in custody for a week pending investigations. Without giving full
- 36:45details of the arrest, but they did say that there have been reports that
- 36:52she was arrested for performing black magic on President doctor Mohammad zou. Now,
- 36:59it's important to note here that in the Maldives, sorcery is not a criminal
- 37:04offense under the penal code, but it does carry a six month jail sentence
- 37:09under Islamic law. So yes, criminal law versus Islamic law. It's a
- 37:15little, a little murky there in the clear watered area that is known as
- 37:19the Maldives. Yes, because they're known for their democratic ways. When one
- 37:29thinks of democracy, my friends, the Maldives is the first thing that comes
- 37:32to win. Yes, black black magic. See, Okay, that's fantastic.
- 37:38I just look, I get it. If all else has failed,
- 37:44you'll try anything. Yeah, I mean I just want. I just wanted
- 37:47the rest of the story and be like a quote from Dumbledore said, Harry
- 37:53Potter can be reached for comments. That's why they have to do all that
- 38:00in secrecy and all the other realm. Well, I'm just glad it's not.
- 38:06I don't know how you would. Can you imagine being the Okay,
- 38:08you're a kid, you go through school, you do really well, you
- 38:12go to college, you do really well, you go to law school,
- 38:14you get elected as a judge somewhere down the line, and now you're designed
- 38:17to the court of sorcery, Like that would just be like, who did
- 38:21you piss off? That's like the same person, like the same newscaster that
- 38:24has to stand in the hurricane. You know, he showed up one day
- 38:29to a meeting with no donuts. Like that's what happened. You show up
- 38:34to that meeting with breakfast tacos. They will not send you out into the
- 38:36field that's the hurricane or the hailstorm without a help. I thought you were
- 38:42going to say that this. You know, as as a president, you
- 38:45know, you go to school, you learn about all these things, history,
- 38:49political science, economy, finance, all these various things to get yourself
- 38:55elected president, only to be taken down by a sorcerer. Someone who just
- 39:00found a spell book somewhere and got lucky. Somebody who ordered a spellbook off
- 39:07Amazon. It was it was Etsy because they got it personally in grant.
- 39:13But just to let you know, just to put our minds at ease,
- 39:16in the United States, witchcraft is not recognized as a legitimate means of causing
- 39:21harm to someone under the law, so so legal. Yes, yeah,
- 39:27good to know. Sorcery is alive and well in the United States of America.
- 39:30Yes, but if you, if you are a sorcerer, don't take
- 39:35this ship to court. They will not they will not recognize you. This
- 39:40is yeah, this is uh. I just looked it up. Under the
- 39:44United States law, they cannot actually induce harm to somebody unless you get the
- 39:51right book. And finally, today, in a news story where I worry
- 39:59about our Trey Trenholm's mental well being, a video gaming teenager is set to
- 40:06become the first Catholic millennial saint as the Pope and cardinals approve his canonization.
- 40:14No, yeah, this can't be from gamer to saint. I think it's
- 40:21good. The Catholic Church is reaching out to the youth. Well, I
- 40:25got bad news, tray, because they're they're reaching out to this youth.
- 40:30There's a little late because he died from leukemia in two thousand and six.
