We are going to cover the Book of Nahum now.

As I've studied scripture over the years, I've.

There's been these times where. It's just the right word at the

right. Time and I no longer believe in

coincidences anymore. I think God.

Does. These things, and we can often

just say that was a coincidence. That was weird, wasn't it, When

something happens. But I don't think it really.

Is a coincidence. I think it is there by God there

are these like we can either get.

Understand what God was wanting. Sometimes we don't understand,

but we can. We can.

Oh. I guess do God's will.

During that time or we can choose to go against him.

But I think a lot of these quote coincidences are there for a

purpose and a reason and are sent by God and and then like

this reading about the book of Nahem.

And why read this book? Wait till you hear this.

And then we'll talk a little bit about why this is so impactful

at this time. So it says.

Why read this book? Have you ever been angry?

Not just annoyed, but really angry.

Perhaps a friend had been cruelly victimized by a bully.

Perhaps you've worked for a boss?

Who puts people down to make himself or herself look good?

Perhaps you've been the target of racial slurs.

Whatever you've been through, the book of Nahem will remind

you that God is in control of history and will not allow evil

to persist forever. So that was what I read.

And immediately what came to mind was what happened September

10th. To Charlie Kirk.

And I believe Charlie Kirk was a servant of God.

In fact, this morning something came across my feed.

Where? It was recorded.

Eight months ago on Charlie Kirk's YouTube channel and.

It was about. His marriage and I started.

To listen to it. And within it.

He he said the prior year before that he had said to God, here I

am, use me. Lord and then they start talking

about what happened and I just, I mean, that just floored me.

Like he was definitely being used by God and.

You can see through his videos. I'm so glad there are so many

videos because they will probably.

Go on for a long time, but his sincerity in those videos and

his desire to bring people into the Kingdom of God and to make

God known and to celebrate God and to praise God, it was I

mean. The his ability to speak to.

People was so wonderful and refreshing and I don't see

anyone else like him and just the the the.

Courage and the boldness that he would speak about God, about his

beliefs and what a good family. Man he was, there were so many

qualities. He there's so much to look up to

him and the way he conducted himself.

It's just it's very sad that his life.

And, and so we read that God is in control of history and will

not allow evil to persist forever.

There is a time that God is going to take vengeance and.

He will. Separate good and evil.

That time is not now. And people.

Do go through terrible things and it is a result of evil.

There's no other way that I can wrap my head around it.

Evil exists in this world and that was the one of the eye

opening things that. I discovered as I read through

Scripture is the reality of evil, the reality of the

spiritual realm, but the reality that Jesus has overcome that and

that the Holy Spirit gives us courage.

You could see that Charlie Kirk had the Holy Spirit he had.

He was courage, he was bold, he wasn't fearful.

He spoke of God in places with thousands of people who.

Weren't on the same page as him. And he did it in love.

He wasn't rude to people. You could see he genuinely

wanted people's eyes to be opened and he wanted to bring

them into the Kingdom of God. So as the enemy targeted him and

wanted him to be silenced, he was but what the enemy wanted.

To. Destroy God can turn into good,

and God can. Use.

What happened to make his word go even further, to open the

eyes of people even more? Maybe there are even more people

that will become. Saved as a result of this as a

result. Of what's happening in the world

and and people realizing the. Truth.

If their eyes are open to it, are seeking, are questioning,

just like I did many years ago when I was questioning God, like

why? For, why would a good?

Person's life end soon when God is in control and we don't have

all the answers to that we don't because God could have

ultimately made that not happen like.

I do believe God. Was in control.

Well, he's always in control, but God made it so that Trump

Assassinated on his attempt. It was really close, but God

protected him. For a reason.

We're not going to know what that reason is until hindsight,

but everything happens according to God's will and God allows

peoples own free will to do things.

There will be consequences to those free will choices that

people make, and the biggest consequence is eternal judgment.

When that time comes. And as a Christian, and if we

truly honor what God said, God said, pray for your enemies.

God said the vengeance is mine, God will take care of it.

What we have to remember is that all of us are sinners.

We all, and not by not by choice unfortunately, because if we had

the choice we would probably all choose not to be sinners, but

because of what happened many thousands of years ago when God

created mankind, when Adam and Eve chose to question God and

doubt God and accept God's enemies influence.

So from the very beginning the enemy was present, the serpent

in the Garden of Eden, who questioned and said, did God?

Really say that. Did he say you couldn't eat from

You know, was he just trying to keep knowledge away from you

because he knew if you ate that you would?

Become like a God, like him. I mean, he puts these questions

into people's minds and that still happens today.

Things that are not. Good, evil thoughts, People who?

Don't believe in the spiritual realm.

Don't realize where those evil thoughts come from.

They came from the beginning of time.

They came from the beginning of creation.

Where it it says through scripture that Satan was in the

presence of God and God created Satan and he.

Created him it it talks about like.

With lots of splendor, he gave him lots of wonderful

attributes. He gave him great gifts.

He bestowed a lot of. Beneficial things on him and yet

he gave him also free. Will.

And. His according to scripture.

His desire that he wanted to be like God, He wanted to be God,

he wanted to be. Worshipped.

Like God, it wasn't good enough to have all of these wonderful

qualities that God created him with, but he wasn't satisfied.

He didn't want to be a servant of God.

He wanted to be worshipped like God.

And so there's this competition. But how can a created thing

compete with the God who creates?

I mean, there is no competition, so it's foolishness.

So in the. If he was so wise, why would he

be so foolish as to? Challenge.

God so he. Thinks he has a way, but he's

already been defeated because he didn't.

If he would have known why Jesus was here on earth, he would have

never let. Jesus get crucified.

On the cross, because when Jesus.

Was crucified. On the cross.

That freed, that gave the possibility to all humans to be

in God's Kingdom and to be Co heirs of the inheritance of

God's Kingdom. Because of what?

Jesus. Did on the cross it opens up

God's Kingdom to all human. Beings by sin we were separated,

so I think. Satan thought he got the upper

hand on it. He thought now all these people

are sinners because they're corrupted because of what he did

thousands of years ago with Adam and Eve.

And it was, you know, apparently it's, it's a part of our being

that sin is we are born that way because of the corruption of

humans. So when humans reproduce, we are

born with some kind of brokenness, some kind of sin.

And at birth, like we don't choose to be that way, we just

that we're born that way. And, and it makes sense when you

realize what Jesus said to Nicodemus, who was one of the

Jewish people. I think he was a teacher, a

rabbi. And who came to Jesus in

private? He didn't want anybody to know

he was coming to talk to him. But.

He was. He was.

Talking to him at one time. This is in John chapter 3.

And Jesus tells them that you can't enter the Kingdom of God

unless you're born again. And Nicodemus was like, what?

What do you mean born again? You know, I'm an adult, how

could I be born again? And then Jesus explained to him

that it was spiritual. You have to be born of the Holy

Spirit and so. This was like Nicodemus didn't

understand it because he was Jewish and he had all these.

Laws and regulations that he had to follow and he didn't quite

get what does this mean being born of a spirit and Jesus then,

you know, explains that no one can enter the Kingdom of God

unless they are born of the spirit.

Well, there's there's a change in a person, so that happens

when they become born again. And it is a little bit.

Complicated if you were not if you didn't grow up in a religion

What that means? But.

You have to understand. 1st that we are.

All sinners. We didn't choose it.

It's not that we. Are that that we're a bad person

or some people are born bad and some people are born good?

No, it's all about our choices. We are in control of what we

choose. We can.

Either. Choose to be guided by God.

Or choose to reject God and or not acknowledge or ignore God or

push him. Away or say he doesn't exist

like that helps a lot of people probably because.

Then they don't have to be accountable for anything.

That. He doesn't exist, so I don't

have to worry about anything. That's a lie.

And there's just so many reasons, like when you read the

Bible, you will understand me. That's like a huge, a huge lie

that will deceive people and prevent them from being in God's

Kingdom. And when I say the enemy of God,

I will I'm. Referring to Satan, but he also

has. Other fallen angels There are

other angels who were in the presence of God.

Who chose to align with? Satan and they, I don't, I don't

know it. I mean, they, they can come

between the heavenly realms and earth and, and they are eternal

beings. And, and actually we are created

to be eternal beings and we will, we are eternal beings.

And that's what people that's another lie, like where people

say, oh, you want to live forever and you know, we'll come

up with a solution so that you can live forever.

We're already made that way. And that's the thing that people

don't know that. We are appointed by God.

A time to die and not. Everybody too.

Also there's there's other people who.

Didn't have to die. But.

All of us are appointed to die once and then after.

That we will either. Be in God's Kingdom in the

presence of God. Or we will be.

Eternally separated from God. And at final judgment day, I

believe it's everyone who is separated from God will actually

be in the lake of burning sulfur.

I believe that's where everybody goes.

There's a destiny. I mean, there's it says

everlasting torment, which sounds harsh, but if you don't

want everlasting torment, choose God right now.

Choose Jesus. Get your questions answered.

Pick up the Bible. Ask somebody who is a strong

believer like why they believe Jesus exists, why they believe

these things if you have, if you struggle with that, like I

believe Jesus exists because. 1st of well, well, there's so

many reasons. I would say I had.

Personal experiences where? Like.

Through dreams where things were revealed to me and then I found

them in the Bible, but I didn't know them before I had it happen

in the Bible. And the power in the name of.

Jesus. Kept coming up in dreams the

night of my baptism, which was actually four years.

Ago yesterday I started having dreams and I would.

I'm not going to get into. All of that but.

It became very, there were things that happened that I was

shown in my dream that would later happen in real life.

And it wasn't just one or two. I've had, I think up to maybe 80

dreams right now in the last four years.

And not every one of them has the scene.

And like I said, I don't really want to get into that right now,

but that was a personal experience.

But let's go back into history. The followers of Jesus, they all

died very traumatic deaths because they wouldn't deny him.

They were saying, yes, he is who he said he was.

There were witnesses like 400 or 500.

At a time it's documented in the Bible.

Who saw Jesus after he died in his resurrected body?

He appeared to people afterwards, so he was proving to

the people of the world that. You're not, you know, like it

doesn't end when you die. Here on earth, we are eternal.

The Bible even calls it like. Those who have.

Fallen asleep. So there's like this, this

transition from this earthly life that we live on, live in

this earth. That.

We. We have a.

Spirit within us. That spirit lives on.

When Jesus returns, that Spirit will be united.

With a body, so whatever. Happens to our body here on

earth. Doesn't matter if it's

completely destroyed. It doesn't matter because God is

in. He's in the restoration

here on Earth and he's going to give us new bodies.

What age we're going to be. We don't know a.

Lot of details. Apparently if we are going to

be, you know, we're made in the image of God.

If we are going to be like God or like Jesus, when?

Jesus resurrected. He didn't come.

Through a door to join a meeting with his disciples.

I forgot which gospel tells the story, but the door was locked.

Jesus appeared in the room after his death.

And, you know, shocked them all because the door was locked.

How could he get in? They were pretty.

Paranoid because their beloved friend was crucified and they

were a target people were saying well don't you hang out with

them? Don't you know him?

And so they. Were they were a little bit

fearful of their lives. And so they were kind of like

keeping things like very private and all of a sudden their their

friend. Jesus shows up so if that.

Is any indication. That.

We will be similar. To that where we will be able

to. Almost like transport or just go

through. Walls or appear somewhere that's

a possibility it's. That's where it's shown in the

Bible, but we don't get a lot of information about what we will

We will be changed in, says in, in the twinkling of an eye, so

that quickly we will be changed into incorruptible.

Bodies like our bodies will never.

You know, be broken down again and so it'll be very

interesting. But God is good and we just.

It'll be fascinating to see what it what it's.

Like. There's not a lot enough

information in the Bible to know the answer to that question, but

only to know that, you know, if somebody has anything broken,

that's not going to, that's not going to be in God's Kingdom,

ailment, sickness, any of that stuff that's not going to exist,

That's all a result. Of evil.

It's all because of sin and brokenness and corruption and

That's not how God intended it to be.

It came about that way because of the choices of evil.

I do want people to know that. There is eternity.

That we need to focus on. We need to.

Not be so short. Sighted in thinking about here

and now in this earth, on this earth and what we accomplished

today. It's it's important, but it

isn't long term vision and you don't want to be short sighted

and take care of all the things in a short sighted manner and

forget about the eternal. Aspect, because that's the.

Important part and. It also says this is always a

funny scripture that I think of is naked you come into the world

and naked you go. Out and that's true.

You don't take anything with you but your spirit.

So what we do with our lives and what we become spiritually is

really important. And so, as Jesus said, we must

be born again to be in the Kingdom of God.

Now how do you do that? You.

Repenting of our sins that means changing our thoughts about sin,

like sin is something we. Desire.

Sin is something that is just like within us.

When we are born, we are born sinful.

I had a hard time believing that at first because I was thinking,

No way. You know, like kids are born,

they're so cute, and there's no way that you can say a baby is

sinful. Well, wait till they get to be.

Old enough to talk and they start saying mine, mine me and

throwing temper tantrums because they don't want to do.

Whatever it is. They just want to do what they

want to do and the world is centered around them.

Well, as a child. Thankfully they're so cute and

that you can deal with that, but at the same time, there's the

reality. They learn over time that no,

it's not all about them. There are other people in the

world and they're you know, you have to be interact with other

people and if all. Of us were that selfish as we

were when we were. Children growing up.

It would be horrible like. Selfishness is really.

Like if you. Boil it down.

It seems like that is like the root.

Of sin is selfishness. That's something that I just

As an opinion of mine. After I looked at.

Everything. It's like when our own desires

are something that are not necessarily beneficial for

everyone or not something that God says we should do, but we

choose to do it anyway. We're being selfish.

We're being, we're not, we're being rebellious to God.

We're saying I know what? You say I should.

Do. But I don't want that.

I want to do this and we all do it.

But The thing is, if we stay that way, we are choosing to be

eternally separated from. God, but if we.

Change our mind. That's repentance, where we.

Say is right, it's hard for me I do these.

Things I don't want to do them anymore.

I ask for. Forgiveness for the times that

Giving it to you. I'm dedicating my life to you.

I want you to change me, to help me to become the person that you

created me to be, and I will do what you want me to.

And when God knows that you really mean it and you're not

just saying it. There's a lot of different ways

God will give you the Holy Spirit, actually Jesus.

The Son of God. Requests the Holy Spirit from

the Father and gives it to us. The Holy Spirit is what raised

The dead, It was the. Spirit within him that raised

him from the dead. Where he could, where he was

And that's the same. Spirit that will raise us as I

there were so many things and like I said, I just started

And here's the thing about it is what Jesus said in the Gospel of

World hates you. Keep in mind that it hated me

first. There's a lot of hate.

Going on online. About Charlie Kirk and It's the

world, the worldly view, people, people.

Who are not led by the Spirit of God.

These are unsaved people, People who don't yet know God.

Every person that says something hateful is an opportunity to

have their mind opened. How could you better go against

the enemy that destroyed Charlie?

To have a. Loving conversation with someone

who is who is blind to this and and sometimes you have.

To just let it go too. Because sometimes it's just, you

Throw pearls to pigs. So if there is someone who's

resistant and who hates Jesus and is not open to hearing

anything about it, let them be. That's fine, God will deal with

And doesn't know anything and is open to hearing the gospel, the

message about Jesus, how to get into God's Kingdom, how to know

God just to pray, to speak to him that he is real and he loves

them and he wants them in his Kingdom.

That's an opportunity and. The.

Surrender, part of it will make all of our lives better if we

can get the people who hate. To have their eyes.

Opened to where they want to serve.

God. To serve God means to love other

people. That removes the hate.

Hate is from the enemy, it's not from God.

Evil is from the enemy. It's not something that God.

God is love, you know, and God is holy.

Holy and evil do not coexist. That's why we're separated right

now from God, because we're sinful.

That point was became evident to me in the this Exodus 20.

I guess it might be or. Close to those that.

Chapter where Moses received the 10 commandments from God.

So in preparation of that, he gave orders of what they needed

to do. And then he also said that he

was coming down to the mountain where the 10 commandments were

given to Moses. And he warned Moses, don't let

anyone touch the mountain. Because it'll be holy, and if

you do it, you will die. Because what I.

Concluded from that. Was that it was a protection for

those people. It wasn't God being mean.

He was protecting the people because he knew that all the

people. Were full of sin, and that sin

cannot be in the presence of the Holy One, and that's what's

eventually at the very, very, very end.

Of the age. If you want to call that this,

this time frame that we're in right now, before eternity,

there will be one last battle and it'll just be the God, just.

It. Just eliminates the enemy

completely by his. Word.

And it's not by the power of any human beings, but God is a

consuming fire. That's what the Scripture says

about Him. And if we are sinful, we cannot

be in the presence of God. There are many times where

people who had visions or who. Saw or God interacted with them

Isaiah or Ezekiel, I can't remember which one.

But he was fearful because he's like.

I'm a man of unclean lips. Like I.

I say things that are bad. You know I can't be in the

presence of. God, like he knew he respected

that. And then an Angel, I think it

was. Ezekiel.

An Angel brought him a coal that like, I don't know, came to his

lips and purified him or something to that effect like it

went through burning. So God can purify through

burning A lot of times through our trials and tribulations that

we. Have That is how God purifies

us. We become better after going

through some things. We.

He burns off the bad parts about us and when we rely and trust on

him, he will turn it to good, which I believe God will do

because I believe that Charlie Kirk was at within the will of
