- 0:11Speaker 2: emotion behind it.
- 0:13Speaker 3: I so.
- 0:14Speaker 1: So it's a movie that you love that you know,
- 0:17Speaker 1: deep down in your heart is really a terrible movie.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 0:21Speaker 3: What what? And I think we all have at least one.
- 0:23Speaker 3: I think mine. Mine is probably the original thing. The thing.
- 0:30Speaker 3: I think the original, Yeah, the black.
- 0:32Speaker 1: And white one from the late fifties, early sixties, the thing.
- 0:39Speaker 1: It's I just always loved it for some reason. There
- 0:42Speaker 1: are part there are parts of it that are actually
- 0:44Speaker 1: quite good, but really there are there's a lot of
- 0:47Speaker 1: it that's really not good at all. But I love
- 0:50Speaker 1: that movie, and I just yeah, so I know it's
- 0:52Speaker 1: not good, but I love it.
- 0:54Speaker 2: What about it's bad? I haven't seen it.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Well, it's uh, it's so you've seen John Carpenters that
- 1:00Speaker 1: that's a good of a good version of it. But
- 1:04Speaker 1: the bad part of this is the when you finally
- 1:06Speaker 1: see the monster, you don't see him really very well.
- 1:09Speaker 1: And it's James Arness Matt Dillon from the TV show
- 1:13Speaker 1: gun smoke. But he's just like wearing a costume and
- 1:16Speaker 1: going he's gotta be an prosthetic head on being a
- 1:21Speaker 1: big monster.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Okay, all right, it's pretty bad.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Here's a text from our old friend Marie Francos in California. Marie,
- 1:29Speaker 4: she's having a baby, nineteen eighty eight, Kevin Bacon, Elizabeth McGovern.
- 1:33Speaker 3: I'm ashamed.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I've watched it probably one hundred times. Now, that's a
- 1:37Speaker 4: good example, right.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Yeah, oh here we got line one. All right, let's
- 1:41Speaker 3: see your face going what okay?
- 1:43Speaker 1: All right, Devon, Hi, Devon, where are you calling from?
- 1:48Speaker 5: It's sitting in front of a Maverick at Ogden.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Okay, I'm sorry.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So a movie that you love, but you really think
- 1:53Speaker 1: it's probably a bad movie.
- 1:56Speaker 5: It's gonna be Amadaris from nineteen eighty four. I know
- 1:59Speaker 5: a lot of people that movie, including myself. Yeah, it's
- 2:02Speaker 5: historically inaccurate and yeah, and really it's probably not that great.
- 2:09Speaker 3: It won Best Picture that year. I think I know
- 2:11Speaker 3: what's his name who played Celiary?
- 2:14Speaker 1: Well, Tom Holts played Mozerry and the guy who played
- 2:17Speaker 1: Celiari won an Academy. Yes, I I don't, I think
- 2:22Speaker 1: as I recall it being pretty good historically inaccurate. Yes, yes,
- 2:27Speaker 1: but you know.
- 2:28Speaker 2: If it win's Best Picture, that's kind of a hard
- 2:30Speaker 2: cell for this segment.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Okay, all right, well think on it and call back again.
- 2:38Speaker 6: I mean, it's definitely a recent movie, but by far,
- 2:43Speaker 6: my favorite bad movie is the latest adaptation of Cats.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Oh that one was I couldn't take swift, Yes, I couldn't.
- 2:52Speaker 2: That is it's so bad. I love it.
- 2:56Speaker 6: My wife now wife then girlfriend called me up to
- 2:59Speaker 6: go see that movie and we were like kind of
- 3:02Speaker 6: having a more safe period in COVID, and I felt
- 3:05Speaker 6: like getting out. I ordered an uber and I got
- 3:10Speaker 6: slashed for that film. I was in the theater and
- 3:14Speaker 6: there was this kind of like hesitation of like do
- 3:16Speaker 6: other people.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Think this is going to be good? Am I allowed
- 3:19Speaker 2: to last this?
- 3:21Speaker 3: Let's go to line two two. This is mil Milo,
- 3:25Speaker 3: what's a movie you love that?
- 3:26Speaker 1: Really?
- 3:27Speaker 3: You know it's terrible?
- 3:29Speaker 7: You don't mess with the Zoha with Adam's sallins.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I haven't seen it, but I can only imagine it's
- 3:38Speaker 1: I can Yeah, I bet, I bet you're right.
- 3:40Speaker 3: It's terrible. All right, thanks milonn all right, let's go
- 3:45Speaker 3: to Lindsey, Hi, Lindsay, Hello.
- 3:49Speaker 8: Thanks for letting me listen. There's a show that I
- 3:52Speaker 8: can't help but watch. It has a two part series.
- 3:56Speaker 8: It's called The Betty Broaderick Story. It's a lifetime movie
- 4:00Speaker 8: be where she's it's a true story where she murders
- 4:03Speaker 8: her husband and his new wife because she was cheated on.
- 4:08Speaker 8: And I know it's like dark, dark, dark movie. But
- 4:13Speaker 8: no matter how much it's on, I can't help but
- 4:16Speaker 8: watch it because Meredith Factor plays with very good crazy
- 4:22Speaker 8: kinda out of her mind.
- 4:25Speaker 3: It's terrible. It's a terrible movie.
- 4:27Speaker 8: It's a bad bad content. Well it's I like it,
- 4:31Speaker 8: but it's not good contents.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Here's some Texters Labyrinth, the one with David Bowie from
- 4:38Speaker 4: the eighties.
- 4:40Speaker 3: I know it's not good. It is. I tried to
- 4:42Speaker 3: watch it and good. I'm sorry, Katie, it's not I
- 4:44Speaker 3: couldn't watch. I couldn't watch it.
- 4:46Speaker 9: It was.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I thought it was terrible. I love David Bowie, but
- 4:48Speaker 3: I just couldn't.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Double Dragon nineteen ninety four with Robert Patrick and Alissa
- 4:54Speaker 4: Milano as that sounds bad.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Oh, here we go.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Maximum Overdrive, the Stephen King movie so incredibly bad that
- 5:02Speaker 4: it's great and.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Starship Troopers.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Now see people argue I've argued with people about that
- 5:11Speaker 1: movie before.
- 5:12Speaker 3: It is not bad.
- 5:14Speaker 1: It's it's a it's a it's got good monsters, and
- 5:18Speaker 1: it's it's a social commentary.
- 5:21Speaker 2: It's such a parody. It comes across as that movie.
- 5:24Speaker 3: It's so over the top.
- 5:25Speaker 4: I think people just didn't you know, it's being re
- 5:28Speaker 4: examined now.
- 5:29Speaker 3: It's intentionally over the top, and.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Yeah, that's I think people weren't expecting that because there
- 5:34Speaker 4: were there were humorous elements of RoboCop.
- 5:37Speaker 3: It's the same guy who directed RoboCop. The humorous elements there,
- 5:40Speaker 3: but not so over the top that it was crazy.
- 5:44Speaker 3: This one was. I found it entertaining. Everybody didn't know
- 5:47Speaker 3: quite what to make of him.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Now here's uh. Ed Brass is going to be angry
- 5:51Speaker 4: at this one. Conan the Barbarian not a not a great,
- 5:56Speaker 4: not a great movie.
- 5:56Speaker 3: I'm sorry. The second one was better. The second one,
- 6:00Speaker 3: it was better.
- 6:00Speaker 2: You know.
- 6:01Speaker 3: I went to see Dumb and Dumber.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I hadn't seen it when it came out theatrically, but
- 6:07Speaker 1: then I watched it. I think I watched it on TV.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I was expecting it to be awful. Yeah, and maybe
- 6:13Speaker 1: it is awful. It is, but it's really funny.
- 6:15Speaker 2: That movie is hilarious.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Randy is here. Hello, Randy, Yeah, Randy, what's yours? Red Dawn?
- 6:24Speaker 3: If you remember the kids, this is the Shwayzy one
- 6:29Speaker 3: or the remake the Swayze.
- 6:34Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Yeah, it's bad. It is bad. You're right, it's bad.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I mean the remake's even worse.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Yeah, thanks Randy, Thanks Randy.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Uh my wife is chiming and splash. She knows it's terrible,
- 6:45Speaker 4: but she loves it.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Is it terrible? It's I saw it. It's not great,
- 6:49Speaker 1: but you know, John Candy's in it.
- 6:52Speaker 3: I mean I thought it was passible. Honestly, I thought
- 6:54Speaker 3: it was fine, was passible.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Anyway, we'll continue. We got some calls coming in, so yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 4: a lot of texts, a lot of texts.
- 7:02Speaker 3: We'll get to those as well. Oh, here's Ed Brass.
- 7:04Speaker 2: All right, what did he say?
- 7:05Speaker 4: Conan is the modern equivalent of Citizen Kane.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Okay, okay, sure, all right, all right, let's see the export.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Let's go to Paco.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Hey, Paco, A movie that you love, but you know
- 7:20Speaker 1: it's bad.
- 7:23Speaker 10: The North Shore. It was a terrible surfer movie. But man,
- 7:26Speaker 10: I've probably seen that thing a hundred times, but it
- 7:29Speaker 10: was horrible. Oh my gosh.
- 7:34Speaker 9: Nea people they think was one of the people in it. Yeah,
- 7:39Speaker 9: and then I.
- 7:40Speaker 10: Can't remember the other two guys that were the main guys.

- 11:58Speaker 2: All right, all right, thank you.
- 12:03Speaker 3: All right, let's go to Mike. Hello, Mike, Mike. This
- 12:06Speaker 3: is a terrible movie. How are you, Mike?
- 12:09Speaker 5: I'm great.
- 12:10Speaker 8: I mean, you could pick any nineties disaster movie, but
- 12:13Speaker 8: I'm gonna go with the Core.
- 12:15Speaker 3: The Core, Aaron, It's so stupid. It's just terrible, man,
- 12:22Speaker 3: it is so stupid.
- 12:23Speaker 4: This is the one where they get in a drill
- 12:25Speaker 4: car or something and drive to the center of the
- 12:28Speaker 4: earth to stop something.
- 12:31Speaker 10: To jump, they have to jump start to right, they
- 12:33Speaker 10: have to stick the car battery up the earth and
- 12:35Speaker 10: jump start.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Yeah, they got their jumper cables. Man, that's terrible. Yeah,
- 12:40Speaker 3: thanks Mike, Thanks Mike. That's now. See I gotta watch it.
- 12:44Speaker 3: I gotta watch it when it comes and the special
- 12:45Speaker 3: effects are lousy. Yeah, all right. Let's go to Maria. Hello, Maria, Hi, Yes,
- 12:54Speaker 3: what movie do you love? That is a bad movie.
- 12:58Speaker 8: It's never ending story. I absolutely adore it, but it's
- 13:03Speaker 8: the snail, the racing snail, the man with the bat,
- 13:06Speaker 8: and then the mom's name is Moonchild.
- 13:11Speaker 3: It's uh in a traumatic movie for a lot of youngsters.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I really watching it as a kid and not
- 13:18Speaker 2: liking it.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah then yeah, all right, thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 13:22Speaker 3: All right, let's go to uh, let's see Oh, Adam, yes.
- 13:28Speaker 7: Adam, Good morning, ladies, good morning.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yes Adam. Now a lot of people consider this a
- 13:33Speaker 1: classic movie.
- 13:36Speaker 7: It is classic the point break.
- 13:37Speaker 9: You know, I love it, and it's not great.
- 13:40Speaker 2: It's not a good moot.
- 13:42Speaker 3: It's not a good movie, I guess.
- 13:46Speaker 7: But what what is it about in the reboot?
- 13:48Speaker 4: No, No, it's because you got you got, you got
- 13:50Speaker 4: Swayze and you got Keano in the same movie.
- 13:54Speaker 3: That's why it's beloved now exactly. And the reboot is
- 13:58Speaker 3: even worse than the original. Ter all right, thank you,
- 14:01Speaker 3: all right, thanks, thank you.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Let's do a couple of text questions. So someone very
- 14:08Speaker 4: angry about amadeis earlier. The Twilight movies are my guilty pleasures,
- 14:13Speaker 4: Sarah and Orum.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Those are very good, very bad movies.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Yes, Grease doesn't hold up at all.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Oh, Gina would be.
- 14:21Speaker 9: I hated it.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I had never seen it.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Finally, Gina, remember we went to Broovies, got a copy
- 14:27Speaker 1: of Grease, went to Brovies and invited everybody. Yeah, because
- 14:30Speaker 1: i'd never really seen it, and i'd always slammed.
- 14:32Speaker 3: And it's terrible.
- 14:33Speaker 2: It's bad. It's not a good movie.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Let's see d dustin my Hat, Guy Repo, the Genetic Opera.
- 14:42Speaker 2: It's bad.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I've just I've heard people talk about it, but
- 14:46Speaker 1: I don't really know any of it.
- 14:47Speaker 3: It's bad.
- 14:48Speaker 4: And Ari the Hat Gal Rocky Horror Picture Show. I
- 14:51Speaker 4: adore it, but it is not aged well at all.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I would disagree. But anyway, I think if anything, Tim
- 14:59Speaker 1: Curry and meat Loaf save that movie.
- 15:02Speaker 4: I've got hats I need clean. I'll bring them into
- 15:04Speaker 4: you guys. Not Joe Lee Bray, that's a good movie.
- 15:07Speaker 4: What are you talking about? The reason why is it
- 15:09Speaker 4: makes me laugh every time, and I always find an
- 15:11Speaker 4: opportunity to sneak in quotes from it.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Mmmmm. Now see doctor Neil has one that's on my list.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Strange Brew, Yeah, Bob and Doug McKenzie. It's got some
- 15:23Speaker 4: really funny stuff in it, but altogether it's not terrible.
- 15:28Speaker 3: All right, let's go back to some balls. Daniel. Hi, Daniel, Daniel,
- 15:33Speaker 3: What's what do you mean by this? Hey, guys, I
- 15:36Speaker 3: don't know.
- 15:37Speaker 10: I'd like, maybe it's kind of cheating because they're literally
- 15:40Speaker 10: watching a bad movie.
- 15:41Speaker 9: But I always loved Mystery Science Theater three thousand and eight.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Actual movie, the movie.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Which is This Island Earth, Oh yeah, which which you know,
- 15:50Speaker 4: special effects wise.
- 15:51Speaker 3: For its time, was great. But George Powell, I think,
- 15:54Speaker 3: but it's not a good movie.
- 15:55Speaker 9: Not good.
- 15:55Speaker 3: It's really kind of boring it is, actually, But the
- 15:58Speaker 3: Mystery Science Theater verse it is great.
- 16:00Speaker 9: Yeah, it's got all the good line Yeah, exactly.
- 16:02Speaker 10: Yeah, it's like watching it with my brother when I
- 16:04Speaker 10: was younger and just out of the witness of It's
- 16:06Speaker 10: always fun, obviously, but it's just terrible movie.
- 16:09Speaker 4: I always say, if you're getting into Mystery Science Theater,
- 16:12Speaker 4: that's where you start.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Yeah, thanks, Daniel, Yeah.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I mean, go ahead, Oh go ahead. I'm gonna say.
- 16:18Speaker 6: On the subject of intentionally watching bad movies, it's a
- 16:21Speaker 6: Christmas tradition for me every year to burn through a
- 16:23Speaker 6: bunch of terrible.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Lifetime Oh those Lifetime movies.
- 16:27Speaker 6: My favorite is a radio based one called Naughty or
- 16:29Speaker 6: Nice about a city DJ, who you know after a
