  Speaker 2: had my head down and I was thinking of what
• 0:19
  Speaker 2: I wanted to say this morning. But it kind of, uh,
• 0:25
  Speaker 2: it's kind of be something.

  Speaker 1: I've lived for a long time, and you know, for
• 0:31
  Speaker 1: a long time, you know, I had a lot of
• 0:33
  Speaker 1: faith in people. You know. It's it's strange too, because
• 0:36
  Speaker 1: you know, you know, my mother was a Sunday school teacher,
• 0:40
  Speaker 1: so of course I grew up around knowing, uh, scriptures
• 0:45
  Speaker 1: and things like that. Not not a lot of them,
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: but you know, the ones I retained. But having her
• 0:51
  Speaker 1: as a mother was was a huge help and understand
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: about faith. But even with that, as I grew up,
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: I began to put a lot of faith in people.

  Speaker 1: And you know, I figured, uh, you know, just like
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: everybody else, you know, man if I could just meet
• 1:07
  Speaker 1: this person, or if I could just sit down with
• 1:10
  Speaker 1: that person, or man if I could just get this
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: person to hear my ideal, or man if just if
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: this person could hear my track, or man if I
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: could just get this in the hands of somebody in
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: the know. I was, like everybody else, I thought that way.

  Speaker 1: You know, I actually thought that if I could get
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: in a certain situation with a certain person, that if
• 1:32
  Speaker 1: a certain person were to meet me, that you know,
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: it could change everything for me. Oh man, Oh how
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: wrong I was? Oh how wrong I was? How long
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: did I spend feeling that way? And how many of
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: you out there possibly have felt that way before? You know,
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: like even in a relationship, This is the person for me,
• 1:54
  Speaker 1: And you know, you just lay claim to that, you know,
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: not necessarily being a fact, but you just lay claim
• 2:00
  Speaker 1: to it. This is the person for me, This is
• 2:02
  Speaker 1: the person that I want to spend the rest of
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: my life with. You know. Sometimes, you know, we just
• 2:06
  Speaker 1: lay claim and stuff, and it's not always what's in
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: our best interest or it's not always a fact. It's
• 2:12
  Speaker 1: just what we decided we want it. And I was
• 2:15
  Speaker 1: guilty of that, just like anybody else. And I spent
• 2:18
  Speaker 1: a lot of years in my life putting faith in people. Man,
• 2:22
  Speaker 1: if I could tell you anything this morning, it's to
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: stop putting your faith in people and put your faith
• 2:29
  Speaker 1: in God where it counts the most. I mean, you
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: can get something out of this one. See, here's a
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: deal about a relationship with God. It's the same all
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: the time. He never changes. His word is one hundred
• 2:42
  Speaker 1: percent absolute. His word doesn't have loopholes in it, none
• 2:46
  Speaker 1: of that. It's this is what it is. He's very clear. Now,
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: you can deviate off your end of a bargain, but
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: it don't stop what he says from being true. But
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: if he asked you to do something, If if God
• 3:00
  Speaker 1: asked you to be a certain way, to do a
• 3:02
  Speaker 1: little something a certain way, and you don't do it
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: that way, then you know, you could still possibly get
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: by for a while. But don't you understand that his
• 3:13
  Speaker 1: end of the deal stays the same, and as long
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: as you're not doing it the way you're supposed to,
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: the results are not going to be what you wanted
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: to be. And I did this for years and years
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: and years, and I counted on people, and you know,
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: I got myself in a lot of situations. And I
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: got out one a dire situation that I'd been in
• 3:32
  Speaker 1: for a number of years. But he had protected me
• 3:35
  Speaker 1: from years prior to that. I didn't even know what
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: was going on, and then he made it, made me
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: aware of the problem, and then man, Lord have mercy.
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: I was in a dismal situation and then at the
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: end of the year I was free, free from it all.
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: But it was a decision that I had made that
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: led up to that, and in going through that process,
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: I had to learn something, manlearn a lot about people. See,
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: if you want to learn about your friends, if you
• 4:04
  Speaker 1: want to learn about your people people around you, get
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: yourself in some trouble. Get yourself in a situation. Oh man,
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: you start looking around. Man, the feeld get real clear
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: when you're in trouble. The feel clear is out. When
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: you're in doubt, when you don't know what to do,
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: when you need help it get real clear on the
• 4:25
  Speaker 1: play and field, then, don't it. Ah. But when things
• 4:27
  Speaker 1: is going right, it's time for a party. We throwing
• 4:30
  Speaker 1: a celebration. We gonna We're gonna do one down here.
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: Oh man, there's plenty of people on the field. But
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: but get yourself in a situation. You find out rather
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: quickly that oh no, oh no, everybody ain't here. And
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: that's when I started learning. And I'm telling you, I
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: had to start learning this for real until I finally
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: got it. To stop putting my faith in people and
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: put all the mind in God where it counts the most.

  Speaker 1: Now is that to say that there are people that
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: you can't trust. No, that's not what I'm saying. I

  Speaker 1: ain't say you can't trust it, but you can't dump
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: your faith in them. I got it all riding on
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: what he say. I got it all riding on what
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: she say. No, no, uh uh no, I hear you
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: saying it. But I'm gonna keep my own this situation
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: because I hear you saying it. But I'm gonna take
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: this faith of mine and instead of putting it in people,
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: I'm gonna put it in God where it counts the most.

  Speaker 1: Because his word is absolute. What he say he's gonna do.
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: He gonna do what he says. He's not gonna tolerate.
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: He's not gonna tolerate. Now, you can make it, you
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: can make it tolerable for yourself, but he's not gonna
• 5:41
  Speaker 1: tolerate it. And that's just the end of the line.

  Speaker 1: And so you know, I'm wondering how many people out
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: there find themselves in a situation like me, or maybe
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: you've gotten yourself in a situation because you put your
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: faith in some people and now you wound up in
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: a different type of situation. Now, let me ask you
• 5:57
  Speaker 1: where the people at the only one that I found
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: when I was in my deepest trouble, when me and
• 6:06
  Speaker 1: my wife were in our darkest situation, was God. It
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: was the only one, was the only one who was
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: just right there, right there, all the way through. Now,
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: let me explain something to you. Because you have this
• 6:23
  Speaker 1: relationship with God, it does not mean, it does not
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: mean now that it won't get it won't still be
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: a situation, you understand. But what He will do is
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: protect you during that period. He'll cover you during that
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: period that it is a situation. He will give you
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: the strength to overcome the situation when it turns into
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: a situation. Then when he cracks it open for you
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: and the sun is bright and shining, what he don't
• 6:53
  Speaker 1: want you to do is when it gets sunny again,
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: to forget about him who was there when it was
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: dark for you. See, I used to do that too,
• 7:01
  Speaker 1: you know I was Oh, man, I did it. I'm
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: telling you right now, I did it. But I'm telling you, man,
• 7:07
  Speaker 1: when I learned a very serious lesson, and I watched
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: some people I thought were friends of mine just sort
• 7:15
  Speaker 1: of casually remove themselves from the situation. Then I said, okay.
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: Me and Marjorie looked around and we said, okay, it's
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: just me, you and God. And when we started conducting
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: ourselves accordingly. So when it's sunny for us, we remember God,
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: we stay prayerful, we keep talking to him. We thank
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: him for the sunshine, we thank him for the dark
• 7:39
  Speaker 1: days that he allowed us to do, who allowed us
• 7:41
  Speaker 1: to survive it and turn it into sunny days. And
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: we talked to him constantly to protect us of our
• 7:47
  Speaker 1: future enemies. And that's what the deal is. So if
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: I was everybody, I would stop putting your faith in
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: people and put your trust in God where it really
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: does count the most, it really really does. You're listening
