- 0:02Speaker 1: With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another
- 0:08Speaker 1: in love. Ephesians 4.2 Dear Lord, You are powerful, courageous,
- 0:18Speaker 1: and worthy to be feared by all. Yet for all
- 0:22Speaker 1: Your power and splendor, You do not harm us or
- 0:27Speaker 1: put us to shame. You use Your power to move
- 0:31Speaker 1: heart and redeem souls. This is the essence of meekness,
- 0:38Speaker 1: strength under control. When I am in conflict or find
- 0:43Speaker 1: myself in tension with others, I pray you would direct
- 0:47Speaker 1: my strength towards building instead of breaking and defending instead
- 0:54Speaker 1: of harming. Make me a powerful force for good in
- 0:59Speaker 1: people's lives. In Jesus' name.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Amen.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Thank you for joining me in prayer. Stay tuned for
- 1:11Speaker 1: today's free podcast, Meditative Prayers with Dr. Tim Clinton, where
- 1:15Speaker 1: you can draw close to God and find strength in Him.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Welcome to your meditative prayer on healing relationships. To get
- 1:28Speaker 3: the most out of your spiritual journey, use Pray.com every day.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Make prayer a priority in your life. Our goal for
- 1:40Speaker 3: today's meditative prayer is healing relationships.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Hope you'll take a second to slow down.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Sit in your favorite chair, your bed, or wherever you
- 1:52Speaker 3: feel most comfortable.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Maybe grab a warm blanket, soft pillow, if you'd like.
- 1:59Speaker 3: And once you're able to relax, turn your thoughts toward
- 2:02Speaker 3: what God has for you today. We will be meditating
- 2:08Speaker 3: on Ephesians 4, verse 2, from the King James Version.
- 2:15Speaker 3: With all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another
- 2:20Speaker 3: in love.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Take a moment.
- 2:24Speaker 3: And pour out your adoration, your love to God, who
- 2:29Speaker 3: in humility bears us in love.
- 2:34Speaker 2: God, I worship you for who you are.
- 2:37Speaker 3: I love you with all my heart, with all my soul,
- 2:41Speaker 3: with all my might. For you who knew no sin
- 2:45Speaker 3: became sin so that we might become the righteousness of God.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Your power is infinite. Yet you oppose the proud and
- 2:55Speaker 3: give grace to the humble. Before the foundations of the
- 2:58Speaker 3: earth were established, you called me by my name. You
- 3:03Speaker 3: alone are worthy to be praised. You know, loving others
- 3:13Speaker 3: in meekness and through long suffering is a high goal
- 3:18Speaker 3: to achieve, to accomplish.
- 3:21Speaker 2: People can have.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Pretty high expectations and can be tough to deal with.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Relationships you thought were sturdy and secure can quickly become minefields.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Don't we know that?
- 3:35Speaker 3: So how do we navigate these situations without everything blowing
- 3:40Speaker 3: up on us? You must rely on help from the
- 3:45Speaker 3: Holy Spirit. Think on recent situations where your actions were
- 3:52Speaker 3: void of humility, patience and love. When you failed because
- 3:58Speaker 3: you were trying to do something alone. To do something
- 4:03Speaker 3: alone you were never meant to do. The Holy Spirit
- 4:06Speaker 3: was designed by God and sent to us to help
- 4:09Speaker 3: us become more like Jesus. To help us to be
- 4:13Speaker 3: humble and gentle. To help us put up with each
- 4:16Speaker 3: other in patience and love. Think of those situations and
- 4:23Speaker 3: relationships you are not doing well in. Now confess them
- 4:29Speaker 3: to God so that you can receive wisdom and favor.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And restoration.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Now consider for a moment the love of God for
- 4:47Speaker 3: your life and thank Him for it. God's love for
- 4:53Speaker 3: you has never.
- 4:54Speaker 2: And will never fail.
- 4:57Speaker 3: His patience is eternal. Thank God that neither hype nor
- 5:03Speaker 3: death nor any other created thing will ever be able
- 5:07Speaker 3: to separate you from his love in Christ Jesus. Think
- 5:13Speaker 3: for a minute on past relationships where God used others
- 5:20Speaker 3: to show you love in patience and gentleness.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Who gave you grace. Think of circumstances where.
- 5:32Speaker 3: You allowed God to use you to love others and
- 5:38Speaker 3: how amazing it felt. I know that God is present
- 5:47Speaker 3: and that he is listening to your prayer. Never forget
- 5:53Speaker 3: God wants you not just to succeed, but to thrive.
- 6:00Speaker 3: To have happy and healthy relationships. He died to give
- 6:06Speaker 3: you the power over sin and the ability to live
- 6:09Speaker 3: out his word. Reach out to God for guidance so
- 6:14Speaker 3: that whatever you do, you do it from a place
- 6:18Speaker 3: of love. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you bear
- 6:23Speaker 3: the people around you in love. Ask him to help
- 6:28Speaker 3: you be patient and gentle when interacting with others. Remember,
- 6:39Speaker 3: God instructs us to bear one another in love. We
- 6:44Speaker 3: are to accomplish this through humility, gentleness, patience, with the aim.
- 6:50Speaker 2: To sustain unity and peace. Be encouraged.
- 6:56Speaker 3: You are not alone on this mission. You have God's
- 7:00Speaker 3: Holy Spirit to help and to guide you. Anchored in
- 7:08Speaker 3: His Word. He will never leave you nor abandon you. Yes,
- 7:14Speaker 3: you can.
- 7:15Speaker 2: You can do this.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Thank you for completing today's meditative prayer on Pray.com. By
- 7:23Speaker 3: incorporating this healthy habit as a daily practice, you're making
