- 2:05Speaker 1: For example, last week we watched Pounce Hollow, which is
- 2:08Speaker 1: a video that was released by Amy Slayton. It is
- 2:10Speaker 1: a very serious musical work, and we definitely combed through
- 2:13Speaker 1: that with a fine-tooth comb, and so check that out
- 2:16Speaker 1: as well.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Delightful.
- 2:18Speaker 2: It was great.
- 2:19Speaker 1: If you are watching on YouTube, please not forget to
- 2:21Speaker 1: like and comment and share and subscribe and then get
- 2:25Speaker 1: up out your seat and hype up your world. Everything
- 2:29Speaker 1: we do, we do for you.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 1: And everything you do helps us in the algorithm. Allegedly.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And so thank you in LA.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Okay, so let's break it down a little bit in
- 2:44Speaker 1: terms of a timeline. Recently, McKelty Padron, who is the
- 2:49Speaker 1: daughter of Christine Brown and Cody Brown, was on a podcast.
- 2:53Speaker 1: And I want to say it was the Sarah Frazier podcast,
- 2:55Speaker 1: but I could be wrong and I'm not going to
- 2:56Speaker 1: double check. But I think that's what it was. And
- 2:59Speaker 1: she was asked about whether the entire family was going
- 3:04Speaker 1: to film together various scenes for season 21. McKelty said
- 3:10Speaker 1: at the time that season 21 was already in the can,
- 3:14Speaker 1: meaning it was already filmed, and that, yeah, they were
- 3:16Speaker 1: not going to have like a reunion. And she's not
- 3:19Speaker 1: talking about the tell-all. She was talking about like a
- 3:20Speaker 1: family reunion where everybody gets back together. Instead, it was
- 3:23Speaker 1: going to be more like some of the kids getting together,
- 3:26Speaker 1: a couple of the adults getting together, but it was
- 3:29Speaker 1: going to be more separate than anything else. So this
- 3:32Speaker 1: was kind of the first signal into outer space that
- 3:38Speaker 1: we picked up. with our big space dishes in which
- 3:42Speaker 1: maybe there's something happening a little bit with the Sister
- 3:45Speaker 1: Wives cast. And I remember I saw a reel from
- 3:48Speaker 1: Sarah Fraser in which she said she had heard some
- 3:51Speaker 1: rumblings that this season was probably going to focus more
- 3:56Speaker 1: on the OG3. She didn't know why. She didn't know
- 4:00Speaker 1: for sure. This was like a couple of weeks ago.
- 4:02Speaker 1: So that was the first inkling that I had that
- 4:04Speaker 1: maybe something was shifting around. And then of course... the
- 4:08Speaker 1: first TLC trailer dropped. Now, you saw that trailer.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:14Speaker 1: What did you think of it? Why don't you describe
- 4:15Speaker 1: it to the best of your ability and tell me
- 4:16Speaker 1: what you thought about it.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Well, the trailer only included Mary, Janelle, and Christine. And
- 4:21Speaker 2: Mary said something like she doesn't want to be a
- 4:23Speaker 2: part of the ex-wives club. Christine says she's very confused
- 4:27Speaker 2: and doesn't know what they're going to be doing.
- 4:29Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 4:30Speaker 2: What's going on? And then Janelle drops the bomb that
- 4:33Speaker 2: Cody and Robin are no longer filming with them anymore.
- 4:37Speaker 2: And so... This sparked a revolution on the internet.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Oh my God, honey.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Reddit, TikTok. Everyone is popping off right now because people
- 4:46Speaker 2: are like, what do you mean Cody and Robin are
- 4:49Speaker 2: not going to be on here? And obviously the theories
- 4:52Speaker 2: are they either quit, they got fired, or maybe they're
- 4:56Speaker 2: going to start a spinoff or something like that. And then...
- 5:02Speaker 2: another thing came out was it christine and david they
- 5:05Speaker 2: were the ones that kind of aired it out.
- 5:06Speaker 1: No i think the second trailer came out before that
- 5:09Speaker 1: but but let me just give you my opinion on
- 5:11Speaker 1: the first trailer because like i watched that with my
- 5:14Speaker 1: raccoon monocle honey every little word that was said and
- 5:17Speaker 1: honestly the phrasing that they were using the wives was
- 5:21Speaker 1: a little sound like well they're not going to be
- 5:23Speaker 1: filming with us anymore well that sounds like maybe they're
- 5:26Speaker 1: just going to be filming themselves in their weird mcmansion
- 5:30Speaker 1: with their weird family and you guys are just not
- 5:32Speaker 1: going to have shared scenes anymore but they were already
- 5:36Speaker 1: it was kind of like that already so is that
- 5:37Speaker 1: really so different that's kind of what i thought when
- 5:40Speaker 1: i saw the first trailer i felt like okay tlc
- 5:42Speaker 1: is trying to hoax us or pull something over the
- 5:46Speaker 1: wool over our eyes if you will but then the
- 5:50Speaker 1: second trailer dropped And in the second trailer, I think
- 5:54Speaker 1: it's Mary who says pretty definitively that they're not filming anymore.
- 5:58Speaker 1: We've got Janelle coming out the gate with a little
- 6:01Speaker 1: bit more fire in her chest, talking about how Cody
- 6:04Speaker 1: had thrown her under the bus completely, accusing her of
- 6:08Speaker 1: trying to cut Mary out of the Coyote Pass deal.
- 6:14Speaker 1: She talked also about how she hadn't even seen or
- 6:16Speaker 1: talked to Cody since the apology tour, I guess. And
- 6:21Speaker 1: then we have Christine, and I'm getting the trailers maybe
- 6:24Speaker 1: a little bit mixed up, but Christine talking about how
- 6:26Speaker 1: there were going to be some secrets that were going
- 6:29Speaker 1: to be revealed in this upcoming season. The second trailer
- 6:34Speaker 1: sounded much more certain and definitive that Cody and Robin
- 6:38Speaker 1: were not going to be on at all on season 21.
- 6:43Speaker 1: And I was wondering, well, but are they still filming something?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Or are they going to show up with Sukanya? So
- 6:51Speaker 1: she can fangirl all over Cody Brown again at the
- 6:54Speaker 1: end of the season. I don't know. But it sounds
- 6:58Speaker 1: like they're gone for now. And now there's a couple
- 7:00Speaker 1: of publications, for example, Entertainment Weekly and E! Online, I think,
- 7:05Speaker 1: that have kind of framed it as Cody and Robin
- 7:09Speaker 1: stepping away for now, which sort of leaves the door
- 7:13Speaker 1: open to them returning to come back. And so you're right.
- 7:18Speaker 1: So the question becomes... What happened here? Were these hoes fired?
- 7:23Speaker 1: Because first of all, they should have been fired because
- 7:25Speaker 1: they've been lying this entire time and they've been trying
- 7:28Speaker 1: to control the narrative. And they're obviously and objectively terrible
- 7:33Speaker 1: people who've destroyed this family. Like, did they get fired?
- 7:36Speaker 1: Did TLC do the right thing? Or did they, for
- 7:39Speaker 1: some unknown reason, quit? And I do want to just
- 7:43Speaker 1: draw everybody's attention to an interview that Cody did with
- 7:48Speaker 1: Nick Vile of the Vile Files back when Special Forces
- 7:51Speaker 1: was airing last year around this time, in which he
- 7:54Speaker 1: made the comment something like, I want to retire Robin
- 7:59Speaker 1: from reality TV. Like, therefore, that's a conversation. It sounded
- 8:06Speaker 1: like at the time that they were having, Robin doesn't
- 8:08Speaker 1: want to be on the show anymore. And in season 20,
- 8:14Speaker 1: she really did have to open up her life way
- 8:16Speaker 1: more than she had been during the COVID years. And
- 8:20Speaker 1: even during the cul-de-sac years, like we're not over at
- 8:23Speaker 1: her house too much or whatever. Like she's not sharing
- 8:26Speaker 1: too much information, but in season 20, she really did
- 8:28Speaker 1: have to like have us meet Aurora's boyfriend and their
- 8:32Speaker 1: little weird Christmas tree and their little fucked up house
- 8:34Speaker 1: by the mines. And she had to open herself up
- 8:37Speaker 1: to further criticism, which I truly believe is she hates
- 8:41Speaker 1: and probably does some kind of psychic damage to her
- 8:45Speaker 1: because she's a terrible person anyway. But any, um, so
- 8:49Speaker 1: Cody had the intention last year that he wanted to
- 8:51Speaker 1: retire Robin from sister wives. But to me, Cody being
- 8:57Speaker 1: the narc that he is, and also his primary fear
- 9:00Speaker 1: being poverty. Like why would he step away? Why wouldn't
- 9:04Speaker 1: you just retire Robin and say, okay, you don't have
- 9:06Speaker 1: to film anymore. I'll cash the checks just for me.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I'll continue to film. I'll show up at the various
- 9:12Speaker 1: and sundry family stuff so that we can have some
- 9:14Speaker 1: kind of income because we just bought this house. Why
- 9:17Speaker 1: would he step away?
- 9:19Speaker 2: That's literally been my thought on this. It doesn't really
- 9:21Speaker 2: make sense to me. If Robin doesn't want to be
- 9:23Speaker 2: filmed anymore, okay, fine.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I don't want to see you anyway in your eyebrows.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Nobody wants to see you and Gabby at all.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Get you off my TV. I don't care. But Cody
- 9:31Speaker 2: is weird to me because... He loves the limelight. He
- 9:35Speaker 2: went on fucking special forces for, I mean, come on.
- 9:38Speaker 1: And he kind of killed it.
- 9:39Speaker 2: And my thing is, if they willingly quit, that is
- 9:44Speaker 2: so fucking stupid to me. Because we have been saying for,
- 9:49Speaker 2: I don't know, a million years now, ever since they
- 9:51Speaker 2: got the fucking McMansion, that there's no way they can
- 9:55Speaker 2: afford that not having jobs and not working.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Well he does cameo i don't know if you know that.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Yeah i know he does cameo but he doesn't he
- 10:03Speaker 2: does not make that much money on cameo he cannot
- 10:06Speaker 2: make that much money on cameo to afford just the
- 10:08Speaker 2: mortgage payment alone on a 2.1 million dollar mcmansion so
- 10:12Speaker 2: that to me i'm just like this is stupid and
- 10:14Speaker 2: if you really are quitting you're to do something like
- 10:17Speaker 2: a spinoff because a lot of people are talking about
- 10:20Speaker 2: that because a lot of people are seeing the writing
- 10:22Speaker 2: on the wall that sister wives is done i mean
- 10:25Speaker 2: is there really going to be a lot of content
- 10:27Speaker 2: also my thing is is this show needs a villain
- 10:33Speaker 2: so who's going to be the villain in season 21
- 10:36Speaker 2: are we really just going to follow mary around on worthy.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Up did the duggars have a villain Yeah. Who was
- 10:42Speaker 1: the villain?
- 10:43Speaker 2: Uh, Jim Bob.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Was he, was he, was he cast as a villain?
- 10:46Speaker 2: I never watched it. Nobody really liked it. Nobody was
- 10:47Speaker 2: really casted as a villain. People just didn't like like
- 10:50Speaker 2: Jim Bob and they didn't really like Michelle because she
- 10:53Speaker 2: was such a weird woman.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Turbo fundamentalist.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Turbo fundamentalist. So like people need to assign... And, like,
- 11:01Speaker 2: Sister Wives has been surviving on Cody and Robin rage bait.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I know nobody wants to really admit that. And I
- 11:06Speaker 2: know a lot of people stopped watching because they hated
- 11:08Speaker 2: Cody and Robin so much. And that's fair and valid.
- 11:11Speaker 2: But a lot of people watched because of them.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Their ratings were good last season. That's what I'm saying.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I was watching them week to week. They were actually
- 11:18Speaker 1: really great. Better than, like... almost every single franchise of
- 11:22Speaker 1: Beverly Hills or not Beverly Hills, but the Real Housewives.
- 11:24Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Bravo shows.
- 11:25Speaker 2: And so to me, I know a lot of people
- 11:27Speaker 2: like the OG wives and I like them too. And
- 11:30Speaker 2: I'm glad that they're all thriving and happy, but I
- 11:33Speaker 2: am going to be really fucking bored if all we're
- 11:35Speaker 2: talking about is Worthy Up, Christine and David and his
- 11:38Speaker 2: construction business and how she wants to make out with
- 11:41Speaker 2: him all day, every day and Tida Farms.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Well, there was like a little scene in the second
- 11:46Speaker 1: trailer where David and Christine are at therapy. And David
- 11:50Speaker 1: is saying something like, I really love Christine Woolley, but
- 11:56Speaker 1: when it's Christine Brown, I'm like, I'm kind of getting
- 11:59Speaker 1: tired of it and we need to sort of stop
- 12:01Speaker 1: that already.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Yikes.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Now I'm just like, okay, but then they did a
- 12:06Speaker 1: live today or whatever and David's wearing her merch and
- 12:10Speaker 1: he's participating eagerly in the conversation. So I don't know
- 12:14Speaker 1: how much of that is for the show because I
- 12:17Speaker 1: think these ladies know. They need to be able to
- 12:19Speaker 1: drum up some drama somewhere in order for us to
- 12:23Speaker 1: be interested. Because, I mean, I'm happy that you're happy. Yeah.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I want you to be thriving, but I just don't
- 12:29Speaker 1: think that's going to make interesting television. It's not. Which
- 12:33Speaker 1: I think Cody and Robin 100% know. It feels like
- 12:35Speaker 1: they're going to just kind of sit back and watch
- 12:38Speaker 1: the whole thing fall apart and then come back for
- 12:41Speaker 1: season 22 and say something, well, if you want us back,
- 12:43Speaker 1: you're going to have to pay us double.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Probably, maybe.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Something like that. Or... there is another show that Cody
- 12:51Speaker 1: and Robin are going to be doing some kind of
- 12:53Speaker 1: a spinoff. So let's just get hypothetical and alleged about
- 12:57Speaker 1: that because honestly, who wants to watch that show either? Dude,
- 13:02Speaker 1: like Robin is so wooden and so fake and so
- 13:07Speaker 1: guarded constantly. It would be more a show about Cody
- 13:11Speaker 1: and all his stupid projects that nobody cares about. And
- 13:14Speaker 1: they're vampire children and, who are now dating, I guess,
- 13:18Speaker 1: although Dayton absconded, left, is nowhere to be found. He
- 13:23Speaker 1: doesn't want any part of that family, so it's just
- 13:25Speaker 1: the two older girls and the two littles. Like, what
- 13:28Speaker 1: are we going to be doing there unless you go
- 13:30Speaker 1: and be courting another wife?
- 13:32Speaker 2: And that would be interesting, and I would totally watch
- 13:34Speaker 2: the fuck out of that because I would love to
- 13:36Speaker 2: see Robin get all jealous.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Her goiter kind of grow i mean that would be
- 13:44Speaker 2: really interesting tv and like with sister wives season 21
- 13:48Speaker 2: it's only going to be interesting if the og wives
- 13:51Speaker 2: are going to start dragging cody and robin yeah the
- 13:54Speaker 2: mud and they start talking shit like we see a
- 13:56Speaker 2: little glimpse of janelle acknowledging that cody was talking shit
- 14:01Speaker 2: about her all last season. And it sounds like she
- 14:04Speaker 2: was unaware of that until it aired, which I'm just like, okay,
- 14:07Speaker 2: is that for the cameras? But like, if that's all
- 14:10Speaker 2: we're going to get and then we're just going to
- 14:12Speaker 2: follow them around on their like little HGTV journey. Like
- 14:15Speaker 2: I don't personally, I don't really care.
- 14:17Speaker 1: What if they started a pivot though? an arc of
- 14:21Speaker 1: a pivot towards the older kids, towards Maddie and Caleb
- 14:27Speaker 1: and what they got going on, towards McKelty and Tony,
- 14:29Speaker 1: towards Aspen, who just had a baby or is going
- 14:31Speaker 1: to have a baby. You know, what if some of
- 14:34Speaker 1: those older kids wanted to be featured? And I read
- 14:37Speaker 1: somewhere that Gwen actually said, I'm 100% down to be
- 14:41Speaker 1: a part of it, but she works full time, so
- 14:43Speaker 1: it would just be about her being able to do it.
- 14:47Speaker 1: What if like we could pivot a little bit away
- 14:49Speaker 1: from the three matriarchs that are boring as hell and
- 14:53Speaker 1: move towards some of the kids? Would that be interesting
- 14:56Speaker 1: to you?
- 14:56Speaker 2: Again, for me, it would only be interesting if we're
- 14:59Speaker 2: going to start talking shit and airing out some family
- 15:01Speaker 2: drama and like really calling Cody and Robin out for
- 15:05Speaker 2: the true villains that we all know that they are.
- 15:08Speaker 2: But if we're not going to be like real about anything,
- 15:11Speaker 2: if we're just going to like parade around and talk
- 15:12Speaker 2: about their lives, which again, like I'm glad that they're
- 15:15Speaker 2: all happy and they're thriving. I think it's great that
- 15:17Speaker 2: they're doing all their own things, but that's shit that
- 15:19Speaker 2: I can find out on Instagram. You know what I mean?
- 15:21Speaker 2: Like I can go to their page and be like,
- 15:23Speaker 2: Oh wow. So-and-so had a kid. That's great. I'm so
- 15:26Speaker 2: happy for them heart. Okay. I'm scrolling and moving on.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I don't really want to watch 45 minutes of a
- 15:30Speaker 2: TV show with that. That's just my thing. It doesn't
- 15:33Speaker 2: make for a compelling TV in my opinion. Don't come
- 15:35Speaker 2: for me. So like, there's just.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Going to coming for you. Like we're all saying it.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I'm sure there's people that would love to watch things
- 15:42Speaker 2: about Toyota farms and But like, I'm not that person.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I don't really care about Christine and David, you know, either.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Like I just, I don't really care. I'd be interested
- 15:52Speaker 2: in seeing Janelle with her new boyfriend. And maybe if
- 15:56Speaker 2: we get to see them start dating in this season,
- 15:59Speaker 2: like that would be interesting.
- 16:00Speaker 1: A little bit, maybe two episodes.
- 16:02Speaker 2: But that's it, you know, not a whole season. So
- 16:05Speaker 2: that's my thing is like, what are we going to
- 16:07Speaker 2: do in season 21 if we don't have these villains
- 16:12Speaker 2: rage baiting us every single week because I do think
- 16:15Speaker 2: that part of what's been compelling about these last several
- 16:18Speaker 2: seasons of Sister Wives has been the anger that we
- 16:22Speaker 2: all feel watching it where we're all like screaming at
- 16:24Speaker 2: our TV and being like oh my god fuck Cody
- 16:26Speaker 2: Brown he's the worst and if we don't have him
- 16:29Speaker 2: around to make fun of him and his stupid hair
- 16:32Speaker 2: or Robin and her doll's and her Dickensian villages, then like,
- 16:37Speaker 2: I don't know what we're going to make fun of.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Cause I don't want to make fun of Christine and
- 16:41Speaker 2: Mary and Janelle.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Okay. I mean, I will though. I mean, because it
- 16:46Speaker 1: is my job.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I will. And I will make fun of Mary too.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Cause she's like, I don't want to be part of
- 16:51Speaker 2: the ex-wives club. Okay.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Can we just, can we talk about this a little bit?
- 16:54Speaker 1: Because Mary in both trailers came off as such a
- 16:59Speaker 1: sour faced bitch.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Total bitch.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Do you guys not, listen to what people are saying
- 17:05Speaker 1: about you are you so like averse to the comments
- 17:08Speaker 1: and to the feedback of your audience that you don't
- 17:11Speaker 1: know that like mary come on nobody wants this from
- 17:15Speaker 1: you we don't need your worthy up and we don't
- 17:17Speaker 1: need you to be so difficult all the fucking time
- 17:20Speaker 1: all the time and i think it's part of it
- 17:22Speaker 1: is because we're currently or we just finished um season
- 17:25Speaker 1: 10 and you know that mary's catfish and then she's
- 17:28Speaker 1: going to therapy with janelle and she's trying to work
- 17:30Speaker 1: it out with Cody and she's always so stank face
- 17:33Speaker 1: and she's always so averse to communication. I'm like, Oh
- 17:37Speaker 1: my God, how many years has it been since season 10?
- 17:39Speaker 1: And you're the same person, but just a little more angry.
- 17:42Speaker 1: And now you're thinner and you're trying on clothes and
- 17:44Speaker 1: you're dating and you're happy about that, but that is
- 17:46Speaker 1: not going to sustain a show. We signed up to
- 17:50Speaker 1: watch this show because y'all were polygamists and now you
- 17:54Speaker 1: are not polygamists, but you're not even willing to be friends.
- 17:57Speaker 1: You're just going to take your tote or whatever to, uh,
- 18:00Speaker 1: exchange family photographs or something and have maybe one conversation.
- 18:04Speaker 1: And then we're back to the fucking haunted B and
- 18:06Speaker 1: B and all your weird rando friends. I'm just like,
- 18:09Speaker 1: I don't, I don't see how it's going to work.
- 18:11Speaker 1: And Mary, you just don't seem like a pleasant person
- 18:13Speaker 1: to me.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Not at all. That's like, that's crazy to me from
- 18:16Speaker 2: the trailer. Like we'll see how they interact in the season.
- 18:19Speaker 2: But like that to me gave me the ick a
- 18:22Speaker 2: little bit. Cause I'm like, girl, there is no like
- 18:24Speaker 2: ex wives club. It's not like we're going around and
- 18:27Speaker 2: being bitter about it. Maybe you're bitter that Janelle and
- 18:30Speaker 2: Christine found men and you're still single. I don't know.
- 18:34Speaker 2: But like, you don't have to be like that when
- 18:37Speaker 2: you're all sharing the same thing that like you guys
- 18:41Speaker 2: got dumped and left Cody. And that's a good thing.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Like you can share some camaraderie. I don't know. So
- 18:48Speaker 2: now let's talk about like Cody and Robin, if they
- 18:51Speaker 2: did willingly quit and they're possibly going to go on
- 18:54Speaker 2: some spinoff, what do we think it's going to be
- 18:56Speaker 2: dancing with the stars?
- 18:58Speaker 1: Oh, well, that's not a spinoff. That's an established show.
- 19:00Speaker 2: No, I know, but they still get paid.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Like, I mean, marriage bootcamp.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I would watch the shit out of that.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Couples therapy with Dr. Orna I don't know but here's
- 19:10Speaker 1: the thing if the money is actually drying up and
- 19:13Speaker 1: I just can't believe it and there's another idea too
- 19:15Speaker 1: by the way I don't know I'm going crazy right
- 19:17Speaker 1: now but like maybe they get like residuals for the
- 19:20Speaker 1: show do you know what I mean like residual payments
- 19:23Speaker 1: for all of the episodes that they've done that maybe
- 19:26Speaker 1: are rebroadcast maybe they have a cut of the franchise
- 19:31Speaker 1: maybe Cody has some sort of of the franchise. We
- 19:35Speaker 1: really don't know what his contract looks like. So there
- 19:38Speaker 1: is a possibility that he might still be able to
- 19:41Speaker 1: collect checks as long as Sister Wives is on the air.
- 19:44Speaker 2: I didn't even think about that.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Yeah, so he might be able to be a little
- 19:48Speaker 1: bit comfortable.
- 19:49Speaker 2: But if.
- 19:50Speaker 1: they were going to go on a spinoff show, it
- 19:52Speaker 1: would have to be something like. Oh God, Celebrity Big Brother,
- 19:56Speaker 1: Celebrity Survivor.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Ooh, Wife Swap.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Wife Swap. I don't really watch television, so I don't
- 20:02Speaker 1: know what's out there.
- 20:03Speaker 2: And I'm not going to really watch them on any
- 20:06Speaker 2: other reality show because like Special Forces was hella boring
- 20:09Speaker 2: even with Cody being on it. And that's great. He
- 20:11Speaker 2: got jacked or whatever and he like did some obstacle
- 20:14Speaker 2: courses and stuff. But for the most part, it was
- 20:16Speaker 2: kind of boring to watch him on there, especially if
- 20:18Speaker 2: he wasn't featured on every single episode. But if they
- 20:21Speaker 2: make their own show off of like the sister wives
- 20:25Speaker 2: coattail or something, I'm just like, nobody cares about your life.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Like you had mentioned earlier, like you got your kids
- 20:31Speaker 2: or whatever, and they're dating, but like nobody gives a
- 20:33Speaker 2: shit about you and your family.
- 20:35Speaker 1: What do we think the audience is going to do?
- 20:36Speaker 1: Do you think that we're going to tune in? Because
- 20:38Speaker 1: you and I are, because that is our job, but
- 20:41Speaker 1: I just, I think some people would out of curiosity sake,
- 20:46Speaker 1: turn into the first few episodes. But then I just
- 20:50Speaker 1: don't know how you sustain interest with that duo.
- 20:54Speaker 2: I don't think you can. And so then if they're
- 20:56Speaker 2: not going to be going on any spinoffs or other
- 20:58Speaker 2: reality shows, what are you going to be doing? Robin
- 21:02Speaker 2: doesn't work and hasn't worked for many years. Cody doesn't
- 21:05Speaker 2: work because he was really just a grifter on TV
- 21:08Speaker 2: for the last 15 years. Like nobody's going to hire
- 21:11Speaker 2: him anyway. So like if he's going to be going
- 21:14Speaker 2: to gun shows and stuff and doing cameos, like that's
- 21:17Speaker 2: not going to pay the bills.
- 21:18Speaker 1: So let's talk about the bills to reestablish kind of
- 21:21Speaker 1: what we're dealing with in terms of the baseline. So
- 21:24Speaker 1: they sold their McMansion number one for, I want to
- 21:28Speaker 1: say $ 1. 8 million. They made like an $ 800, 000 profit, which
- 21:34Speaker 1: is questionable though. That's not canon because they were extremely
- 21:37Speaker 1: leveraged allegedly for against that house they had taken out
- 21:41Speaker 1: multiple loans allegedly against that house so it could be
- 21:43Speaker 1: that they only got you know a hundred two hundred
- 21:46Speaker 1: three hundred thousand dollars of profit when they sold the
- 21:49Speaker 1: house um and they also sold coyote pass and i
- 21:52Speaker 1: think robin and cody got like whatever their share was
- 21:55Speaker 1: six hundred thousand dollars something like that they made a
- 21:59Speaker 1: down payment on the second mcmansion which they purchased for 2.1
- 22:03Speaker 1: million dollars the down payment was like 470 000 dollars
- 22:08Speaker 1: probably from the proceeds of either McMansion number one and
- 22:11Speaker 1: or Coyote pass. And the mortgage for that, cause I had, um,
- 22:16Speaker 1: I was doing the calculations cause we were saying it
- 22:18Speaker 1: was probably about $ 20, 000 a month, but it's actually probably
- 22:22Speaker 1: more about with a seven or 8% interest rate, more
- 22:26Speaker 1: like 11 or $ 12, 000 a month.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Interesting. Yeah.
- 22:31Speaker 1: So it's a lower mortgage payment, but that doesn't speak
- 22:35Speaker 1: to the upkeep of the house, like water and electricity
- 22:40Speaker 1: and all of the bills. Anything that breaks, right. None
- 22:42Speaker 1: of that is included in those calculations. And then as
- 22:46Speaker 1: we discussed last year, like wintertime, Cody and Robin allegedly,
- 22:52Speaker 1: although I believe we saw the documents, took out a
- 22:54Speaker 1: line of credit against this home, which at this point
- 22:58Speaker 1: had $ 400, 000 to $ 500, 000 in equity because of the down payment.
- 23:05Speaker 1: They took out a $ 750, 000 line of credit. Now that
- 23:09Speaker 1: doesn't mean they use that line of credit, but it
- 23:11Speaker 1: is available to them in case they want to use
- 23:14Speaker 1: it in the future or need to use it in
- 23:16Speaker 1: the future. So I say all this to say that
- 23:20Speaker 1: these people aren't wealthy. They're leveraged. They're leveraged. They have
- 23:25Speaker 1: access to a line of credit. And so maybe they
- 23:28Speaker 1: can take their sweet time And maybe they can see
- 23:31Speaker 1: what happens with season 21. And I think this is
- 23:34Speaker 1: my working theory that they're just going to sit back
- 23:38Speaker 1: for one season and see what happens, see what the
- 23:41Speaker 1: ratings do, and then talk to production again about reentering
- 23:45Speaker 1: the sister wives franchise after taking a little time off.
- 23:47Speaker 1: And it'll probably just be Cody because Robin doesn't want
- 23:50Speaker 1: to do it, but he'll probably negotiate a per episode salary.
- 23:55Speaker 1: That would be what he would be paid with Robin.
- 23:57Speaker 2: So like, right.
- 23:57Speaker 1: If they're making 40,000 each, so 80,000 an episode, He
- 24:01Speaker 1: wants to come back at 80,000 an episode.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Right. If he's going to come on and sell the
- 24:06Speaker 2: show and make it have higher ratings or something. But
- 24:09Speaker 2: this is all under the guise of they willingly quit.
- 24:13Speaker 2: What if they got fired? What if they were booted
- 24:16Speaker 2: off the show?
- 24:17Speaker 1: Why would TLC ever do that, though? It is a
- 24:19Speaker 1: money making, boring machine.
- 24:22Speaker 2: But people were calling for that all last season and
- 24:25Speaker 2: even the season before. Like people were like, why do
- 24:28Speaker 2: we have these people on our television? Even though we
- 24:30Speaker 2: all love the rage bait low key. You want to
- 24:32Speaker 2: admit it, but we love the rage bait. What if
- 24:35Speaker 2: TLC was like, you know what? Y'all keep making asses
- 24:38Speaker 2: of yourself and we're fucking sick of you.
- 24:40Speaker 1: TLC would never do that. TLC has no ethical compass.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Or maybe Cody was demanding more money at the end
- 24:46Speaker 2: of season 20.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Well, let's talk about production. Because in 2024, the longstanding producer,
- 24:54Speaker 1: I think his last name was Gibbons or something like that.
- 24:57Speaker 1: who was allegedly the neighbor of Cody and Robin left
- 25:02Speaker 1: the show. And some people said that it was because
- 25:06Speaker 1: he was like devastated. The family was falling apart and
- 25:09Speaker 1: it was after the COVID years. And he's just like,
- 25:10Speaker 1: I'm out of here. I can't, I can't continue to
- 25:12Speaker 1: work with these folks when all of this devastation is happening.
- 25:16Speaker 1: So he pieces out somebody new takes over. And so
- 25:19Speaker 1: we had wondered when that happened, whether production was going
- 25:24Speaker 1: to take a harder line or, Cody because a lot
- 25:27Speaker 1: of us had thought that Cody just had production wrapped
- 25:30Speaker 1: around his finger. This is why when we had tell-alls,
- 25:33Speaker 1: he was always filming separately. He never had to sit
- 25:35Speaker 1: down in a room with his accusers. He was always
- 25:38Speaker 1: belligerent because for whatever reason, he held sway over production.
- 25:42Speaker 1: And so a lot of us were really encouraged like, hey,
- 25:45Speaker 1: maybe we're going to get a new producer and maybe
- 25:47Speaker 1: he's going to say, no, just show up at the reunion,
- 25:50Speaker 1: do your job or you're there were rumors at the
- 25:55Speaker 1: time that the new producer wanted to focus more on
- 25:59Speaker 1: Cody and Robin, focus more on their family, despite what
- 26:05Speaker 1: the audience was clearly crying out for, which is to
- 26:09Speaker 1: somehow reigned this asshole in whether it's by firing him
- 26:13Speaker 1: or by putting stipulations in the contract that he has
- 26:17Speaker 1: to show up he has to film that robin has
- 26:19Speaker 1: to speak that they can't hide things that they can't
- 26:21Speaker 1: have ndas that they're trying to impose on other castmates
- 26:24Speaker 1: like this all has to stop like do something i
- 26:26Speaker 1: don't think production ever did that so this is why
- 26:29Speaker 1: if we're dealing with a mealy mouth mealy mouthed production
- 26:33Speaker 1: company that's just all about the benjamins I don't think
- 26:36Speaker 1: they're firing Cody and Robin because Cody and Robin are
- 26:39Speaker 1: the cornerstone of this show. And if they're gone, we're
- 26:43Speaker 1: really in uncertain territory.
- 26:45Speaker 2: We really are. It's going to be really interesting to
- 26:47Speaker 2: see what they're going to do in this season and
- 26:49Speaker 2: what kind of content they're going to bring us. And,
- 26:52Speaker 2: you know, all of this to say, like, I know
- 26:54Speaker 2: I've been bitching about how this might be boring of like,
- 26:57Speaker 2: it might be a boring season with just the three
- 26:59Speaker 2: OG wives without the villain sister wives historically has been
- 27:02Speaker 2: a boring show. It's not like, I mean, like we're
- 27:04Speaker 2: doing these rewinds. And it's boring. Like it's, there's some
- 27:08Speaker 2: nuggets that are interesting. There's some scenes that are interesting.
- 27:11Speaker 1: It's so few and far between though.
- 27:12Speaker 2: But it really is so few and far between. Repetitive. God.
- 27:15Speaker 2: And this show has a theme of kind of being boring.
- 27:18Speaker 2: It really is like the beauty in the details, the
- 27:20Speaker 2: beauty in the subtext and reading between the lines. So
- 27:24Speaker 2: it'll be interesting to see if they're going to continue
- 27:27Speaker 2: that kind of way or they're going to start dropping
- 27:31Speaker 2: some teeth. And that's kind of what I hope for.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I'm not going to hold my breath.
- 27:35Speaker 1: You shouldn't.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Because, you know, this family loves to breadcrumb. And this
- 27:38Speaker 2: family loves to be like, there's big secrets going to
- 27:41Speaker 2: be aired out in this season. And it's literally nothing.
- 27:43Speaker 1: You cannot silence me anymore. Okay.
- 27:46Speaker 2: It's literally nothing. Like, we're not going to get anything new. So,
- 27:49Speaker 2: I don't know. It'll be interesting. Let us know what
- 27:51Speaker 2: your guys' theories are. Why, if you guys know any
- 27:54Speaker 2: tea about Cody and Robin, if you guys have more
- 27:57Speaker 2: like links, you can send us about theories, the gossip theories.
- 28:01Speaker 2: You know, if you guys have any, um, uh, sources
- 28:04Speaker 2: that are anonymous that are close to Cody and Robin,
- 28:07Speaker 2: let us know. But yeah, let us know your theories
- 28:09Speaker 2: and your predictions for season 21. So I told.
- 28:12Speaker 1: You what I thought. I think that they're just going
- 28:15Speaker 1: to hang back for a little while and they're going
- 28:16Speaker 1: to try and come back in and negotiate a bigger contract.
- 28:18Speaker 1: And or they were filming right now. They're filming something
- 28:21Speaker 1: else or they're filming for this or they're filming. Because
- 28:24Speaker 1: I think for season 21, there was a sighting of
- 28:28Speaker 1: Cody in Vegas with cameras. So I thought he was filming.
- 28:34Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 28:35Speaker 2: I kind of feel like he can't stay out of
- 28:37Speaker 2: the limelight himself. I think that if him and Robin quit,
- 28:41Speaker 2: it's because they didn't like the backlash that they were
- 28:43Speaker 2: getting from the show. And if they start a spinoff,
- 28:46Speaker 2: maybe they're going to start talking more shit about the
- 28:48Speaker 2: family themselves and try to clear their name or whatever,
- 28:51Speaker 2: as if anybody's going.
- 28:51Speaker 1: To believe them.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Cause nobody gives a shit. Cause you guys are lying
- 28:55Speaker 2: liars who lie and you're bald. And just like, nobody cares.
- 29:01Speaker 2: You know, I kind of feel like he's filming something.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Whether it's another Sister Wives spinoff or it's like another
- 29:08Speaker 2: show on Fox News that he's going to be a
- 29:10Speaker 2: guest on, I'm not sure. But not Fox News. Fox. Right.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Fox the network.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Right.
- 29:16Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Fox News probably fits too.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Probably. It will be interesting to see what they do
- 29:21Speaker 2: because I think you're right. I think Cody's too much
- 29:23Speaker 2: of a narc and I don't think he can stay
- 29:25Speaker 2: out of the limelight forever.
- 29:26Speaker 1: And also, he needs to make money. He needs to
- 29:29Speaker 1: make money. I just don't think he'd walk away unless
- 29:31Speaker 1: he had some sort of plan in place.
- 29:34Speaker 2: And okay.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I know it sounds like you're wrapping up, but let
- 29:38Speaker 1: me just one more thing, please. If the money is
- 29:41Speaker 1: drying up, how long do we give this marriage between
- 29:46Speaker 1: Cody and Robin before Robin makes some kind of move?
- 29:51Speaker 2: Five years, maybe? Because... I don't know how long their
- 29:54Speaker 2: money is going to last. If they had like a $ 750, 000
- 29:57Speaker 2: line of credit and that's the only one that we
- 30:00Speaker 2: know of right now, I don't know, man.
- 30:03Speaker 1: But at $ 12, 000 a month just for your mortgage, not
- 30:06Speaker 1: to take into consideration all of your cars, your insurance,
- 30:10Speaker 1: and all of your other. Like you're probably talking $ 15, 000
- 30:12Speaker 1: to $ 16, 000 a month. $ 750, 000 is not going to last
- 30:17Speaker 1: very long.
- 30:17Speaker 2: It's going to go quick. But like I just don't
- 30:19Speaker 2: know if he has other access to other lines of
- 30:22Speaker 2: credit and if they're like leveraging other things.
- 30:24Speaker 1: He shouldn't given the fact that what his income is.
- 30:28Speaker 2: And you can take multiple liens out on your house.
- 30:30Speaker 2: I don't know if he's done that.
- 30:31Speaker 1: If you've got equity. Yeah. But he's already done that.
- 30:34Speaker 1: He's already taken a line of credit against the equity.
- 30:37Speaker 2: I don't know. I feel like Cody... in particular is
- 30:41Speaker 2: a professional at gaming the system. And like, they've always
- 30:45Speaker 2: done this.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Polygamists are kind of, yeah.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Like they'll declare bankruptcy and they'll get all these loans
- 30:51Speaker 2: before they do loans and stuff. I wouldn't be surprised.
- 30:54Speaker 2: And I hope they don't do this, but I wouldn't
- 30:55Speaker 2: be surprised if they convince their kids to take out
- 30:58Speaker 2: lines of credit that they're using. You know what I mean?
- 31:00Speaker 2: So like, I just don't know how long they can
- 31:02Speaker 2: keep that up before it actually starts crumbling down. And
- 31:06Speaker 2: then they end up being homosexuals. Like, I don't know.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Well, if you subscribe to the theory that the reason
- 31:12Speaker 1: Robin wanted to be a part of this family in
- 31:14Speaker 1: the first place wasn't necessarily Cody and his cherubic looks,
- 31:17Speaker 1: but rather the fact that they were going to be
- 31:20Speaker 1: famous and have a show and there would be money involved,
- 31:23Speaker 1: then it would track that if there's no more show
- 31:26Speaker 1: anymore and the money starts to go away or diminish substantially,
- 31:30Speaker 1: that Robin... is going to lose interest in a 60-year-old
- 31:35Speaker 1: Cody Brown. Now, I'm not sure what her religious affiliation
- 31:39Speaker 1: is anymore, if she's still a part of the AUB.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Cody doesn't sound like he wants to be a part
- 31:43Speaker 1: of that, but Robin always sounded a little bit more
- 31:46Speaker 1: religious than Cody. There are some rumors that Robin actually
- 31:50Speaker 1: joined the same church that Aurora goes to, which is
- 31:53Speaker 1: more of a charismatic Christian kind of church.
- 31:55Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know.
- 31:56Speaker 1: If she were still a part of the AUB, though,
- 31:58Speaker 1: She might just put herself back into the wife pipeline
- 32:01Speaker 1: and look for another mister who could support her. I
- 32:04Speaker 1: don't know. These next five years are going to be
- 32:07Speaker 1: very interesting because, again, we're in uncertain waters. This season
- 32:12Speaker 1: is going to make or break what the... what the
- 32:15Speaker 1: network does with the franchise. If these women can't pull
- 32:19Speaker 1: it out, then there's no reason to continue to have
- 32:21Speaker 1: a show at all. And so everybody's going to have
- 32:24Speaker 1: to find multiple streams of income to support their lavish lifestyles.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Yeah. And they're going to have to start doing something
- 32:31Speaker 2: that's going to be entertaining if you want to keep
- 32:33Speaker 2: everybody on because people will lose interest. That's the thing.
- 32:37Speaker 2: It's like, You're kind of riding the lightning of these
- 32:40Speaker 2: divorces that happened a couple years ago and all of
- 32:43Speaker 2: the drama that ensued from that. But what happens when
- 32:46Speaker 2: all of the dust settles? What happens when Cody and
- 32:49Speaker 2: Robin do kind of fade into the shadows? And what
- 32:54Speaker 2: if they don't ever come back to TV? I don't know.
- 32:56Speaker 2: It'll be really interesting to see. We're still going to
- 32:59Speaker 2: watch season 21, obviously.
- 33:00Speaker 1: How many episodes do you think season 21 is going
- 33:02Speaker 1: to have? Because it cannot be 30. It cannot be
- 33:05Speaker 1: 30 episodes. It's got to be like Welcome to Plathville.
- 33:08Speaker 1: It's got to be like between 10 and 12.
- 33:10Speaker 2: It cannot be more than that. And 10 and 12
- 33:13Speaker 2: and like two of those need to be tell-alls. Not
- 33:16Speaker 2: anymore after that. It should not be another 30 episode season.
- 33:21Speaker 2: I don't know if I can do it.
- 33:22Speaker 1: How could they?
- 33:23Speaker 2: I don't know if I can do it.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that'd be wild. What do you guys think?
- 33:26Speaker 2: Yeah, let us know.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Anyway, so that's kind of the tea. Again, we're going
- 33:29Speaker 1: to watch the two trailers that have come out and
- 33:33Speaker 1: also Christine's recent Live with David in which she divulges
- 33:36Speaker 1: some information about what's going to happen in season 21.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Please join us on Patreon. It truly is the best
- 33:42Speaker 1: way to support us. It's only $ 5 a month. We

- 33:49Speaker 1: Is there anything else that we need to say to
- 33:51Speaker 1: these beautiful raccoons before we get up on out of here, Beatrice?
