- 0:02Speaker 1: I count is a great honor to be here tonight
- 0:06Speaker 1: at this convention, Allelujah. And I want to start by
- 0:16Speaker 1: requesting that we please rise and honor our father and
- 0:21Speaker 1: our mother, Reverend Dr sam Aboy g God, bless you, sir,
- 0:26Speaker 1: and our precious mother. Let's give them a big God
- 0:30Speaker 1: bless you. Thank you for this opportunity. I don't take
- 0:33Speaker 1: it for granted. And in a similar pain, may I
- 0:38Speaker 1: request that we honor our father's seated here standing, and
- 0:46Speaker 1: all who have come. I do not know all their names,
- 0:48Speaker 1: but I honor you in the name of Jesus. Let's
- 0:50Speaker 1: give them a big God bless you. Allelujah. Please be
- 0:55Speaker 1: seated the Lord, bless you. Praise the name of the Lord.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I'm speaking tonight very briefly along the theme of the conference.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I found it very interesting when I saw the theme
- 1:18Speaker 1: because I think very deeply as I prepare my messages
- 1:25Speaker 1: and my teachings, and I take my preparations very seriously,
- 1:31Speaker 1: and so when I see a topic for discussion, I
- 1:36Speaker 1: take out time to look at it very carefully and
- 1:41Speaker 1: see that which the Spirit of the Living God can
- 1:44Speaker 1: help me draw from my study to bless his people.
- 1:46Speaker 1: So I trust tonight. And this is also my request
- 1:52Speaker 1: that you lend me your rapt attention so that we
- 1:59Speaker 1: will learn, we will grow, will be impatted maximally by
- 2:04Speaker 1: the word of God. Like you may have heard me say,
- 2:08Speaker 1: God's method has always been his word. His method to
- 2:14Speaker 1: lift is his word. His method to restore is his word.
- 2:20Speaker 1: His method to redeem is his word. The boundary of
- 2:24Speaker 1: God's commitment to the believer is his word. He cannot
- 2:29Speaker 1: act within or outside of the jurisdiction of his word.
- 2:35Speaker 2: That means, when the word of God is about to come, it.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Is important that we pay attention to receive, because in
- 2:44Speaker 1: receiving the world, we also receive the keys to our lifting,
- 2:48Speaker 1: our breakthroughs, our deliverances, and indeed rest on every side.
- 2:54Speaker 1: But can I start tonight by profess sign over someone
- 2:57Speaker 1: that in the name of Jesus, the Son of the
- 2:59Speaker 1: Living God, everything that has stopped you from enjoying rest
- 3:03Speaker 1: around about, may it give way finally this night. May
- 3:11Speaker 1: it give way finally this night, in the name of Jesus,
- 3:16Speaker 1: the Son of the Living God, that everything that will
- 3:19Speaker 1: not allow you experience the fullness of.
- 3:23Speaker 2: The glory of God.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I decree and declare standing upon the grace on this altar.
- 3:29Speaker 1: May it give way once and for all in the
- 3:35Speaker 1: name of Jesus Christ. Is it all right if we
- 3:40Speaker 1: pray for just one minute? Please say after me, Father
- 3:45Speaker 1: one more time, say Father, tonight. I receive grace to hear.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I receive grace to understand. I receive grace to obey,
- 4:00Speaker 1: head and pray, Grace to hear.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Grace to understand, race to obey. Someone is praying tonight.
- 4:10Speaker 1: We receive grace, grace to hear, but beyond hearing, grace
- 4:16Speaker 1: to understand, and beyond understanding, the grace to obey, the
- 4:26Speaker 1: grace to obey, the grace to obey.
- 4:36Speaker 2: For Jesus' much less name, we have prayed.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Can we have a believing Amen, Oh, believed that above
- 4:51Speaker 1: a Lord all gods, we lay our Christ.
- 4:59Speaker 3: And ash sh you you be. I said, up the
- 5:10Speaker 3: love he allround, and ship clean.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Clean in the name of Jesus. Please be seated. Let's
- 6:02Speaker 4: get to the world, the Bible.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Tells us in Some thirty four and verse nineteen. Psalm
- 6:11Speaker 1: thirty four and verse nineteen. The Bible gives us a
- 6:15Speaker 1: very interesting expression, I trust that the media will work
- 6:19Speaker 1: with us.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It is as many are the afflictions of the righteous.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Bible
- 6:33Speaker 1: there leaves us with an assurance that the Lord delivered
- 6:37Speaker 1: them from how many, All many are the afflictions of
- 6:42Speaker 1: the righteous, But the Lord delivered him from them all.
- 6:50Speaker 1: So very clearly we see it from this scripture that
- 6:53Speaker 1: the reality of troubles, I wrote, Heah, the reality of
- 6:57Speaker 1: calamities and.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Despair is not new to our world.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Our world is full of events and episodes of calamities,
- 7:08Speaker 1: episodes of despair, and all kinds of troubles.
- 7:12Speaker 2: In fact, I think it was in John.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Chapter sixteen and verse thirty three Jesus himself had this
- 7:18Speaker 1: to say.
- 7:19Speaker 2: He said, in this.
- 7:21Speaker 1: World you will have many troubles. Jesus is speaking now,
- 7:25Speaker 1: but he says, be of good share. I have overcome
- 7:29Speaker 1: the world. That in this world. This is a statement
- 7:35Speaker 1: coming from the lips of the Master himself, that in
- 7:38Speaker 1: this world, in this life, you will have many troubles.
- 7:41Speaker 1: But he leaves you with an assurance to be of
- 7:43Speaker 1: good share, and he says, I have overcome the world.
- 7:48Speaker 1: So it is not unusual for men to be troubled.
- 7:52Speaker 1: The Bible is full of people. You see, one of
- 7:54Speaker 1: the things I love about scripture is that it does
- 7:57Speaker 1: not hide any time mention of life. The Bible captures victories,
- 8:04Speaker 1: the Bible captures defeat, the Bible captures triumph, the Bible
- 8:09Speaker 1: captures sadness, the Bible captures rejoicing. All captured within this
- 8:14Speaker 1: Bible to give you a very balanced perspective of the
- 8:18Speaker 1: character of God and the reality of life.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Are we together? So it is true that troubles.
- 8:27Speaker 1: And calamities, despair and moments of unease are not new
- 8:33Speaker 1: to our world.
- 8:35Speaker 2: All you have to do is to.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Be alive for a sufficient period of time, and you
- 8:40Speaker 1: will be forced to attest to the fact that, an
- 8:43Speaker 1: assisted by God, your lot is almost that of calamity
- 8:48Speaker 1: by default.
- 8:49Speaker 2: In fact, yes, how the Bible puts it that.
- 8:52Speaker 1: The whole world lie yet in wickedness, and for that
- 8:56Speaker 1: reason alone, everyone is a potential candidate for pain, calamity,
- 9:04Speaker 1: despair of any sort, except you baire yourself out.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Through knowledge and understanding. Are we following tonight?
- 9:16Speaker 1: People have had to go through all kinds of troubles
- 9:21Speaker 1: in their lives. Troubles, for instance, in the area of health,
- 9:26Speaker 1: troubles in the area of finances, troubles in the area
- 9:30Speaker 1: of marriage and relationships, trouble in the area of career
- 9:35Speaker 1: and their destiny pursuits.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Our world is full of people.
- 9:39Speaker 1: If I ask everyone here right now submit a prayer request,
- 9:43Speaker 1: so that we pray upon everything. You are writing on
- 9:47Speaker 1: that request is some usually something you want to get
- 9:50Speaker 1: out of your life, or something you want to bring
- 9:53Speaker 1: into your life.
- 9:54Speaker 2: The fact that you have something to write is.
- 9:57Speaker 1: An attestation to the fact that almost everyone has something
- 10:02Speaker 1: he's trusting God to take out of his life, or
- 10:05Speaker 1: something is trusting God.
- 10:06Speaker 2: To bring into his life. If you're with me, shout aloud. Amen.
- 10:14Speaker 1: People have gone through issues in their lives, in the
- 10:17Speaker 1: area of their spiritual lives, the area of their health,
- 10:21Speaker 1: area of their finances, their marriages, their relationships.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I'll give you a few examples.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Of men and women who went through several kinds of troubles.
- 10:30Speaker 2: In the Bible.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I will just give you the scriptures who are not
- 10:33Speaker 1: going to read them for sake of time.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Number one is a man Abraham.
- 10:37Speaker 1: You would think because Abraham was a patracht of faith,
- 10:41Speaker 1: he would be immune from trouble. Abraham went through all
- 10:45Speaker 1: kinds of infertility problems, you find out from Genesis fifteen
- 10:50Speaker 1: one to three. The Bible does not hide the fact
- 10:53Speaker 1: that even though Abraham a great man, a friend of God,
- 10:58Speaker 1: and yet lets us know that that man went through
- 11:02Speaker 1: seasons over twenty five years of barrenness alongside his wife,
- 11:06Speaker 1: to a point that he became frustrated. He was giving
- 11:10Speaker 1: a recommendation that God would raise seed for him through another.
- 11:14Speaker 2: From his house Abraham.
- 11:19Speaker 1: How about the nation of Israel in Egypt, a whole
- 11:22Speaker 1: nation can go through seasons of calamity and pain. We
- 11:27Speaker 1: find that in Exodus chapter three, from verse seven to nine,
- 11:31Speaker 1: when God was speaking Exodus three seven to nine, when
- 11:35Speaker 1: God was speaking with Moses in the burning bush, it
- 11:38Speaker 1: was God himself who said that he had heard the
- 11:41Speaker 1: cry of his people by reason of their taskmasters, and
- 11:46Speaker 1: that day he was aware of their sorrows. God himself
- 11:51Speaker 1: was saying that Exodus three seven to nine, he was
- 11:55Speaker 1: now charging Moses, giving him the mandate of a deliverer.
- 11:59Speaker 1: But God in acknowledge the fact that his people, his
- 12:03Speaker 1: covenant people, had gone through several years and decades of
- 12:08Speaker 1: pain by reason of their taskmasters.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Can I give you a third example?
- 12:15Speaker 1: How about the famine in Samaria a whole nation.
- 12:19Speaker 2: The famine in Samaria.
- 12:20Speaker 1: You find that in Second Kings Chapter six, twenty five
- 12:25Speaker 1: to thirty one. Second Kings, Chapter six, twenty five to
- 12:29Speaker 1: thirty one. The Bible tells us that there was such
- 12:32Speaker 1: a grevious famine in Samaria that food was so fast
- 12:37Speaker 1: women had.
- 12:38Speaker 2: To eat their children to survive. Hallelujah.
- 12:44Speaker 1: I'm not sure such a dimension of famine has happened
- 12:47Speaker 1: in a world that I'm aware of, that a mother
- 12:50Speaker 1: would look at the child, and rather than seeing a
- 12:53Speaker 1: child that came.
- 12:54Speaker 2: From her, she is looking at a means for survivor.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Allelujah, the famine in some area. Can I give you
- 13:06Speaker 1: Number four? In Ruth Chapter one, from verse one and six. Ruth,
- 13:11Speaker 1: Chapter one, from verse one and six, the Bible gives
- 13:14Speaker 1: us a very interesting rendition about two strange personalities. Number one,
- 13:18Speaker 1: the woman called Naomi, and then her daughters in law Ruth,
- 13:25Speaker 1: and of her, the Bible says that all of them,
- 13:28Speaker 1: I don't know what kind of spirit came upon that family.
- 13:32Speaker 1: They strangely were losing all the men in their lives.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I pray for someone every pattern you have seen around
- 13:40Speaker 1: your life and your family that is inconsistent with the
- 13:43Speaker 1: speakings of God. By the power of the Blood, it
- 13:47Speaker 1: will let.
- 13:47Speaker 2: You go this night.
- 13:49Speaker 1: It will let you go this night, in the name
- 13:52Speaker 1: of Jesus Christ.
- 13:56Speaker 2: I just thought to comment on this.
- 14:00Speaker 1: He lost a husband, Naomi Ruth lost her husband and
- 14:04Speaker 1: her sons. Or lost her husband and her sons. Do
- 14:08Speaker 1: you know the same kind of spirit was at working
- 14:11Speaker 1: a woman in the New Testament called the Widow of Nain.
- 14:15Speaker 1: All the men in her life, everyone who had the
- 14:18Speaker 1: potential to support her, was taken out of her life. Allelujah.
- 14:27Speaker 2: These were women in great sorrow.
- 14:30Speaker 1: They had lost their systems for security and support. Many
- 14:34Speaker 1: are the afflictions of the righteous. Can I give you
- 14:37Speaker 1: one more? In Second King, Chapter five and verse one,
- 14:41Speaker 1: I would like to read that the Bible talks of
- 14:44Speaker 1: a very frivliant.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Man, a warrior in fact, called Naman.
- 14:50Speaker 1: The Bible calls him the captain of the host of
- 14:53Speaker 1: the King of Syria. Look up the kind of credential
- 14:57Speaker 1: that was credited to this man. That he he was
- 15:00Speaker 1: a great man with his master, he was an honorable man,
- 15:04Speaker 1: and that by reason of his intelligence and dexterity, the
- 15:08Speaker 1: Lord had given deliverance onto Syria. And he was a
- 15:13Speaker 1: mighty man in battle, and you would think with those
- 15:17Speaker 1: kinds of credential he would escape trouble, the Bible says.
- 15:20Speaker 2: But.
- 15:22Speaker 1: In spite of all those great testimonies, but he was
- 15:26Speaker 1: a leper. There was something in his life that was
- 15:29Speaker 1: a cause for concern.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Now the Bible tells us furthermore in look chapter eight.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I found this very.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Interesting forty one to forty five. I hope we're still together.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Look chapter eight, from verse forty one to forty five.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Let me read that story. I want to draw out
- 15:50Speaker 2: something from it.
- 15:51Speaker 1: This is a story that doubles as that of Jarios's
- 15:55Speaker 1: daughter and then the woman with the issue of Lord.
- 16:00Speaker 1: So the Bible says, and behold, there came a man
- 16:03Speaker 1: named Jarios, and he was a ruler in the synagogue,
- 16:07Speaker 1: the Bible says, and that he fell at the feet
- 16:10Speaker 1: of Jesus and asked him to come into his house.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Next verse please reading to forty five. The Bible says,
- 16:17Speaker 1: for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age,
- 16:23Speaker 1: and she was lying there dying. And the Bible says,
- 16:27Speaker 1: when it came he didn't have a chance to meet
- 16:29Speaker 1: Jesus easily because the people thronged him. Next verse, then,
- 16:34Speaker 1: the Bible says, whilce he was on his way, Jesus now.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Wanted to honor the requests.
- 16:40Speaker 1: To get to his house, he stumbled across another woman
- 16:44Speaker 1: with no name, named by her pain, named by her tragedy,
- 16:49Speaker 1: named by her calamity. This woman most likely had a name,
- 16:53Speaker 1: but her calamity so swallowed her it replaced her name.
- 16:57Speaker 1: She was simply called the woman with the issue of
- 17:01Speaker 1: blood twelve years.
- 17:04Speaker 2: The Bible says she had spent all her living on physicians.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Neither could she be healed of any The Bible says
- 17:16Speaker 1: that she came behind him and touched the border of
- 17:20Speaker 1: his garment, and immediately her issue of blood ceased.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Now, the point is.
- 17:25Speaker 1: That the daughter of Jarios was twelve years old, the
- 17:30Speaker 1: one who was dying, and this woman was twelve years
- 17:34Speaker 1: old in her calamity, meaning the day that young girl
- 17:38Speaker 1: was born. That was when this woman's trouble also started.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Bought twelve years a twelve year old girl about to
- 17:48Speaker 1: lose her life, a twelve year old woman.
- 17:51Speaker 2: And if you were asked.
- 17:52Speaker 1: To which one would be better to heal first, both
- 17:57Speaker 1: of them were sympathetic to their pain.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Would you ignore a woman who had gone through twelve
- 18:02Speaker 2: years of pain?
- 18:03Speaker 1: But with you ignore a little girl who has potential
- 18:06Speaker 1: to live a great life. Trouble for you, calamities for you?
- 18:13Speaker 1: Are we still together? The Bible makes a very interesting
- 18:20Speaker 1: statement in Second Corinthians, chapter four and verse eight.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Please give it to us.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Second Corinthians four and verse eight. I usually would like
- 18:30Speaker 1: us to read together. I hope we can. Otherwise I'll
- 18:33Speaker 1: just read alone. Second Corinthians four and verse eight. Please
- 18:38Speaker 1: media help us. Second Corinthians, chapter four and verse eight.
- 18:43Speaker 1: If you can see it, please, I request that we
- 18:45Speaker 1: read together.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Ready, one to go. We are troubled on every side.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Please hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. This
- 18:53Speaker 1: is a very interesting statement. It is one thing to
- 18:56Speaker 1: be troubled in your health, but other areas will be
- 18:59Speaker 1: doing well. It is one thing to be troubled spiritually,
- 19:03Speaker 1: but perhaps financially you are doing well. The Bible tells
- 19:06Speaker 1: us that it is even possible to be troubled on
- 19:10Speaker 1: e free side.
- 19:12Speaker 2: You know what that means?
- 19:13Speaker 1: That there can be a problem in your finances at
- 19:16Speaker 1: the same time a problem in your spiritual life at
- 19:19Speaker 1: the same time a problem with your children and your marriage.
- 19:22Speaker 1: That such possibility exists in our world. We are troubled,
- 19:28Speaker 1: not just dimensionally, but on every side. It is that
- 19:32Speaker 1: yet not distressed. We are perplexed, but not in despair.
- 19:38Speaker 1: So men can be so troubled. It is not just
- 19:42Speaker 1: that men can find rest on every side. They can
- 19:44Speaker 1: also be troubled on every side. I have studied my Bible,
- 19:51Speaker 1: by the grace of God, and in my study, the
- 19:55Speaker 1: clearest example the individual that personified is this scripture, in
- 20:01Speaker 1: my opinion, is the man Job. Job becomes for us
- 20:07Speaker 1: a theological lesson, a description of a man who was
- 20:13Speaker 1: troubled on every side.
- 20:15Speaker 2: For reference, please write Job.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Chapter one, thirteen to twenty two, Job Chapter one thirteen
- 20:23Speaker 1: to twenty two, and then Job chapter two seven to nine.
- 20:28Speaker 2: For time's sake, I'm not going to read it.
- 20:30Speaker 1: I'll just just recite for you the story. So here
- 20:35Speaker 1: is a man the Bible says, who was the richest
- 20:38Speaker 1: man within the east in the then world.
- 20:41Speaker 2: And the Bible says he was.
- 20:42Speaker 1: A man who she had God and assured evil. He
- 20:45Speaker 1: had everything what you will want to call rest on
- 20:49Speaker 1: every side. Wealth was there, children, assets, a great name,
- 20:54Speaker 1: But then the Bible tells us that a series of
- 20:56Speaker 1: events happened within the heavens and began to manifest back
- 21:01Speaker 1: to back.
- 21:01Speaker 2: All within the space of one day.
- 21:05Speaker 1: In one day, ladies and gentlemen, the man Joe lost
- 21:09Speaker 1: his children, lost his assets, lost his reputation, lost everything.
- 21:17Speaker 1: And then the Bible makes a very profound statement that
- 21:21Speaker 1: when the last person came to break the sad news,
- 21:25Speaker 1: Joe bound.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Himself to the ground and wash it.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Not bound himself to the ground to cause God not
- 21:33Speaker 1: bound himself to the ground in despair. The Bible says,
- 21:36Speaker 1: he bowed himself to the ground and.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Wash it, Allelujah.
- 21:45Speaker 1: And then, as though that would be enough, there were
- 21:48Speaker 1: only three things that were left after the first tragedy
- 21:53Speaker 1: struck in Job's life. Number one was his wife, Number
- 21:57Speaker 1: two was his relationship with God, and number three was
- 22:01Speaker 1: his health. These were the only three things that survived
- 22:05Speaker 1: the first attack. And then a series of events in
- 22:08Speaker 1: chapter two would happen again, and the devil is giving
- 22:13Speaker 1: liberty to now strike his health. Job's health was so
- 22:19Speaker 1: was so heat that the Bible says that men would
- 22:23Speaker 1: look at him and just passed.
- 22:25Speaker 2: He became a man who was left for dead, troubled.
- 22:29Speaker 1: On every side, and the only thing Job had left
- 22:34Speaker 1: was his wife and his God. But then when I
- 22:39Speaker 1: studied the book of Job, I am encouraged by just
- 22:43Speaker 1: one profound statement. And you find that in Job chapter
- 22:47Speaker 1: forty twoe, verse ten. And may that be a prophecy
- 22:49Speaker 1: for someone tonight, in the name of Jesus, Please give
- 22:53Speaker 1: it to us and the Lord to the captivity of Job.
- 22:58Speaker 1: My goodness, there is a God can turn the captivity
- 23:01Speaker 1: of men. Did you hear what I said that there
- 23:03Speaker 1: is a God in heaven, not in the earth. There
- 23:07Speaker 1: is a God that sits in heaven, and that he
- 23:10Speaker 1: sustains within his power the ability to turn the captivity
- 23:14Speaker 1: of men. Did you not read in your Bible that
- 23:16Speaker 1: when the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion is said,
- 23:19Speaker 1: we were like damn that dream. It would be for
- 23:22Speaker 1: someone tonight, like a dream. The way my God will
- 23:26Speaker 1: turn around your life. I say it by prophecy it
- 23:29Speaker 1: will do for someone like you are dreaming the way
- 23:32Speaker 1: Thores will open, the way God will settle you, the
- 23:36Speaker 1: way God will.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Give you peace, The way.
- 23:38Speaker 1: My God will arise to push back every force that
- 23:41Speaker 1: has mocked your life.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Please be seated.
- 23:57Speaker 1: So the Bible tells us that men, all men, can
- 24:01Speaker 1: be troubled, not just on some sides, not just in
- 24:05Speaker 1: certain areas, but that men can be troubled on every side.
- 24:11Speaker 1: And it is very possible that someone came for this convention.
- 24:15Speaker 1: In the midst of the dance, in the midst of
- 24:17Speaker 1: the screams, in the midst of the shout, you are
- 24:21Speaker 1: only praying for grace to survive because perhaps this year
- 24:25Speaker 1: has been maybe your worst experience yet.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Now I want you to please pay attention.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I just thought to borrow from my notes and explain
- 24:43Speaker 1: to us why believers go through tragedies. I just want
- 24:49Speaker 1: to list it for you. Two weeks ago, I did
- 24:51Speaker 1: a teaching back at home on deliverance over calamities, and
- 24:55Speaker 1: I just thought to incorporate that in my notes.
- 24:58Speaker 2: I thought it was very.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Important before before we begin to talk about entering rest,
- 25:02Speaker 1: it's important we have a very proper foundation as to
- 25:06Speaker 1: why believer us go through tragedies, go through calamities, and
- 25:11Speaker 1: go through unfavorable seasons. There is a reason. There is
- 25:17Speaker 1: an explanation to pain, there is an explanation to calamity
- 25:23Speaker 1: and tragedy. I will least for you not necessarily having
- 25:27Speaker 1: to explain them. And I pray in the name of
- 25:30Speaker 1: Jesus Christ that what you're about to hear will contribute
- 25:34Speaker 1: to your confidence, because sometimes beyond pushing men to enter
- 25:39Speaker 1: the rest, it's important.
- 25:41Speaker 2: That we diagnose the condition properly.
- 25:43Speaker 1: There are people who, no matter what kind of prayer
- 25:46Speaker 1: you pray for, they will still go back into their
- 25:49Speaker 1: pain because there are certain funda mental mistakes that they
- 25:53Speaker 1: continue to make.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Can we examine this for a minute.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Number one, The first reason, according to Scripture, why people
- 26:01Speaker 1: go through tragedies, losses, calamities is lack of discernment. Please write,
- 26:08Speaker 1: the absence of dissignment will always lead an individual into a.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Circle of calamities.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Lack of discernment, lack of discernment, lack of discernment, hallelujah,
- 26:29Speaker 1: lack of discernment most people cannot discern. I'm reminded about
- 26:35Speaker 1: the story in Acts chapter twelve.
- 26:38Speaker 2: When you read in the Book of Act.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Chapter twelve, the Bible says that Herald made up his
- 26:43Speaker 1: mind to affect certain Jews, and in doing so John
- 26:48Speaker 1: I mean James.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Was held and he was beheaded.
- 26:52Speaker 1: And when James was beheaded, the Bible says that the
- 26:56Speaker 1: Herald saw that it pleased.
- 26:57Speaker 2: The Jews, and now he held Peter.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Proposing that after the Passover he would also destroy Peter.
- 27:05Speaker 1: But the Bible says in verse five that prayers.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Was made by the church.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Are we together without ceasing for him? And then the
- 27:18Speaker 1: Bible says, the moment the church began to pray, I
- 27:21Speaker 1: was not there, but I can draw out. I can
- 27:25Speaker 1: infer their prayer. Content Lord, bring Peter out of the prison.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Bring him out of the prison. He must not die.
- 27:34Speaker 1: And the Bible says, in response to their prayer, an
- 27:37Speaker 1: angel comes to the.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Prison and brings deliverance onto Peter.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Now watch this. Then the Bible tells us that Peter
- 27:46Speaker 1: was led out and the gates began to open. Now
- 27:51Speaker 1: he was giving the liberty. And when you read from
- 27:53Speaker 1: verse eleven forward, the Bible says, Peter came to the
- 27:57Speaker 1: very house. When he came to the house where the
- 28:02Speaker 1: prayer was happening for his deliverance, he knocked the door
- 28:06Speaker 1: and said, this is the answer to your prayer. One
- 28:09Speaker 1: young girl opened the door and saw him and said, no,
- 28:13Speaker 1: it must be his angel. She closed the door, and
- 28:16Speaker 1: they kept praying Lord, deliver Peter. Lack of discernment. How
- 28:22Speaker 1: do you pray for something and then the answer comes
- 28:24Speaker 1: and you cannot know? Allelujah? Lack of discernment. Number two.
- 28:32Speaker 1: The second reason why people experience losses, pain, tragedies, calamities.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I wrote here is carelessness. Carelessness. The second reason carelessness Hebrews,
- 28:47Speaker 1: chapter two and verse three carelessness carelessness. The Bible says,
- 28:59Speaker 1: how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?
- 29:04Speaker 1: If you are careless and you take for granted, how
- 29:07Speaker 1: shall we escape? I wish I had the time to
- 29:11Speaker 1: share with you a very interesting story under this point.
- 29:14Speaker 1: It is found in the Book of Judges, chapter eleven,
- 29:16Speaker 1: thirty to thirty five. I prayed for my own self
- 29:21Speaker 1: that God would help me to be free from carelessness
- 29:25Speaker 1: when I read this.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Scripture, a very interesting scripture.
- 29:28Speaker 1: About a warrior called Jefta.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Jef Ta was one of the mighty men.
- 29:34Speaker 1: He was a warrior, and this man on his own,
- 29:37Speaker 1: God did not ask him to make a covenant.
- 29:40Speaker 2: He got up.
- 29:41Speaker 1: You can see a graphic representation of carelessness. He said,
- 29:45Speaker 1: Oh God, if you will deliver the children of Ammon
- 29:48Speaker 1: to my hands, here is my promise. The first thing
- 29:52Speaker 1: that opens my door as I return back, I will
- 29:55Speaker 1: give to you sounds like spirituality. But that is careless
- 30:00Speaker 1: and truly he had great victory, And the Bible says,
- 30:05Speaker 1: when he was returning home.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Watch this his daughter opened the door.
- 30:11Speaker 1: The first first thing he would see what his daughter
- 30:14Speaker 1: she had prepared instruments of music. You find that in
- 30:18Speaker 1: verse thirty four, this young girl was out to celebrate
- 30:22Speaker 1: her father's return. Yet the man had carelessly made a
- 30:27Speaker 1: statement that the first thing that comes out of his
- 30:30Speaker 1: door he would sacrifice it. There are many people today
- 30:35Speaker 1: who have brought self inflicted causes upon themselves because of carelessness.
- 30:41Speaker 1: In the name of Jesus and Prince for someone either
- 30:44Speaker 1: through careless speaking, either thrue careless associations. Whatever calamity you
- 30:50Speaker 1: may have brought upon yourself, made the God of messy tonight,
- 30:53Speaker 1: bail you out, Made the God of messy tonight, bail
- 30:57Speaker 1: you out in the name of Jesus Christ.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Number three very quickly.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Why do men go through tragedies and pain, calamities and
- 31:11Speaker 1: seasons of distress, ignorance of the loss of the kingdom, ignorance,
- 31:17Speaker 1: ignorance of the loss of the kingdom ignorance of the
- 31:21Speaker 1: loss of life and destiny.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Allelujah.
- 31:28Speaker 1: An intelligent God will not design a system like this
- 31:32Speaker 1: and allow men to free lance their way through it.
- 31:36Speaker 1: There is an exact formula for living profitably upon the earth.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Did you hear what I said? There is an exact
- 31:43Speaker 1: formula for profitable living. There is also an exact formula
- 31:49Speaker 1: for living a defeated life. You don't just live a
- 31:52Speaker 1: defeated life. To live a defeated life, you work in
- 31:56Speaker 1: keeping with certain principles. And to live a victorious life
- 32:00Speaker 1: you also work in keeping with certain principles. From Well
- 32:04Speaker 1: chapter two, twelve to seventeen. Then we also go to
- 32:09Speaker 1: First and Wel chapter four. The Bible lets us know
- 32:11Speaker 1: that Hoffney and Finnish has based on the principle they
- 32:16Speaker 1: were supposed to use the fuck and to bring out
- 32:20Speaker 1: a portion.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Of meat, and whatever portion it brought was theirs.
- 32:26Speaker 1: But they designed to start bringing choice portions for themselves,
- 32:30Speaker 1: and they violated due process. Many people today have abused
- 32:34Speaker 1: annoying things, abuse opportunities, abuse relationships.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Are we together?
- 32:42Speaker 1: You may have hurt people in our worlds. Say I
- 32:45Speaker 1: know this man, we used to be friends. I know
- 32:48Speaker 1: this woman, we used to be classmates. The question is
- 32:52Speaker 1: what changed? Usually abuse this honor will always close any door.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Abuse of privileges, abuse of opportunities.
- 33:03Speaker 2: Children have abused.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Certain privileges that their parents created for them. Parents have
- 33:10Speaker 1: abused certain privileges that.
- 33:12Speaker 2: They had with all due respect.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Even men and women of God have abused privileges. In
- 33:20Speaker 1: the corporate world, people have abused privileges. Abuse and misuse
- 33:26Speaker 1: will always lead to tragedy. A wise man, now of
- 33:33Speaker 1: blessed memory, Dr. Males Munroe, would say, when the purpose
- 33:37Speaker 1: of a thing is not known, he says, abuse of
- 33:40Speaker 1: it is inevitable. The word abuse comes from two words
- 33:45Speaker 1: abnormal use. Every time a thing is taken out of
- 33:48Speaker 1: its jurisdiction of purpose, it becomes abuse. The fourth reason
- 33:54Speaker 1: why people go through tragedies let me quickly run through
- 33:57Speaker 1: the remaining two number five.
- 34:00Speaker 2: The fifth reason.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Why people go through calamities and pain and strgedies is
- 34:08Speaker 1: as a result of demonic attacks. Demonic attacks, you cannot
- 34:13Speaker 1: rule Satan out. There are times that you do everything right,
- 34:18Speaker 1: but just because there is an adversary that is determined
- 34:22Speaker 1: to twards the purposes of God in your life. Demonic
- 34:26Speaker 1: attacks John chapter ten and verse ten. Jesus himself was teaching,
- 34:30Speaker 1: and here's what he had to say. The thief comet
- 34:33Speaker 1: not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy,
- 34:38Speaker 1: he says, But I am calm that ye may have life,
- 34:42Speaker 1: and that they may have it more abundantly. Jesus called
- 34:48Speaker 1: Satan a thief in First Preit Touch chapter five and
- 34:51Speaker 1: verse eight. First Preit Touch, chapter five and verse eight.
- 34:57Speaker 1: First Bitter chapter five and verse eight. Here's what Paul Peter.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Now was admonition us to do.
- 35:05Speaker 1: He says, be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil,
- 35:13Speaker 1: as a roaring lion.
- 35:15Speaker 2: He walked about.
- 35:17Speaker 1: He walks about a bell kutta, he walks about Legos,
- 35:20Speaker 1: he walks about Cardunacano. He works about Europe, he works
- 35:24Speaker 1: about America. He walks about tall and from the entire earth,
- 35:30Speaker 1: seeking whom he may divol. The diligence of Satan can
- 35:38Speaker 1: be so inspiring. The Bible tells us that when he
- 35:42Speaker 1: was prop by God, he said, from whence have you
- 35:46Speaker 1: called himself? From walking tall and through the earth. That means,
- 35:50Speaker 1: provided you are in the head one day, the possibility
- 35:54Speaker 1: for meeting him or his representatives is one hundred percent.
- 35:58Speaker 2: One day he will come around you.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Even Jesus said, Satan, come meth to me, say it
- 36:04Speaker 1: and cometh to me. Allelujah. What does it mean to
- 36:11Speaker 1: have rest? I have three expressions here that I believe capture.
- 36:19Speaker 1: The idea of rest is God speaking to someone already.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Number One, to have rest means to have security. To
- 36:30Speaker 1: have rest means to have security, any and all kinds
- 36:36Speaker 1: of security. The moment it's time for you to sleep,
- 36:45Speaker 1: the first thing you do is to lock up your doors.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Am I right on that?
- 36:48Speaker 1: You lock your car, you lock the main door, you
- 36:51Speaker 1: switch off the light, and you are going to rest.
- 36:54Speaker 1: So rest is connected to security, all kinds of security.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Spiritual security, financial security, relational security.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Rest means security. Number two.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Rest means freedom from our dominion over troubles and fears.
- 37:18Speaker 2: I'll take it again.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Rest means freedom from our dominion over freedom from our
- 37:27Speaker 1: dominion over troubles and fears. You are said to be
- 37:34Speaker 1: in a position of rest when you have freedom from,
- 37:39Speaker 1: exempted from, or dominion over troubles and fears. Number three.
- 37:48Speaker 1: As simple as this would sound, it is my most
- 37:52Speaker 1: It is the clearest explanation of rest for me. Rest
- 37:57Speaker 1: in one word is peace. Rest in one word is peace.
- 38:06Speaker 1: They are so related that in our world we have
- 38:09Speaker 1: used both words as a parting expression.
- 38:12Speaker 2: For people who leave the earth.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Here's what we say, rest in, not resting wisdom, not
- 38:21Speaker 1: resting wealth, not rest in a well furnished grave. The
- 38:26Speaker 1: only expression we can give to such a man that
- 38:30Speaker 1: describes our idea.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Of rest is peace.
- 38:34Speaker 1: That means, in all you're getting, if it is minors, peace,
- 38:38Speaker 1: you have not found rest. If you have progress without peace,
- 38:43Speaker 1: you have not entered rest.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Are well learning tonight?
- 38:47Speaker 1: The question tonight, as I seek to tie up my teaching,
- 38:52Speaker 1: is that.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Can a believer?
- 38:54Speaker 1: Can the believer in Christ experience rest?
- 39:00Speaker 2: Round about? Is that possible?
- 39:03Speaker 1: Is there such a possibility in the economy of God
- 39:07Speaker 1: that a believer can be so fortified that the same
- 39:11Speaker 1: way a believer is plagued with trouble on every side?
- 39:15Speaker 1: Can a believer actually have rest on all sides?
- 39:19Speaker 2: The answer is yes.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Genesis twenty four and verse one, Let me request, when
- 39:28Speaker 1: it is projected that we shout that scripture together in unison,
- 39:33Speaker 1: ready one to read.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Please.
- 39:37Speaker 1: And Abraham was old and well stricken in age ahah
- 39:44Speaker 1: and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things. Someone says,
- 39:49Speaker 1: all things, all things means your spiritual life. Say all things,
- 39:55Speaker 1: your finances, your home, your children. Here is a man
- 40:01Speaker 1: who represents a portrait of God's idea of a blessed man.
- 40:06Speaker 1: And the Bible says, in spite of the tragedies and
- 40:10Speaker 1: the calamities that he met somewhere in his life, it
- 40:14Speaker 1: was just a page in his life. That at the
- 40:17Speaker 1: end of Abraham's life he was old and well stricken
- 40:21Speaker 1: in age. Yes it is true that he was one's
- 40:24Speaker 1: without child, but not forever. Yes it is true that
- 40:28Speaker 1: he was once an idol worshiper from all of the Childians,
- 40:32Speaker 1: but it was not forever. Let me professy to someone.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Whatever negative name may be around your life, it is
- 40:40Speaker 1: only a page of your destiny. I speak to you
- 40:43Speaker 1: in the name of Jesus that my God is rewriting
- 40:46Speaker 1: your story. My God is rewriting your story where you
- 40:51Speaker 1: are being called barried. Barin is not the name you
- 40:53Speaker 1: will have forever. Tellure is not the name you will
- 40:56Speaker 1: have forever. A victim is not the name you will have,
- 40:59Speaker 1: for they are pressed. If not the name you have forever, Allelujah,
- 41:11Speaker 1: Jacob got to a point in its life where he
- 41:14Speaker 1: was tired of an old name, called a cheat and
- 41:18Speaker 1: a supplanter, and he held on to God and he said,
- 41:21Speaker 1: I will not let you go until you bless me,
- 41:24Speaker 1: And in blessing him, his name was changed. How about
- 41:27Speaker 1: the man called Jabez. The Bible says the mother named
- 41:31Speaker 1: him after her pain. Jabez got angry and he cried
- 41:36Speaker 1: to the God of Heaven all that that would hast
- 41:39Speaker 1: bless me, and latched my cost. When it's time to
- 41:45Speaker 1: pray tonight, someone needs to be angry with your current
- 41:48Speaker 1: situation and say, Lord, I did not come here tonight
- 41:52Speaker 1: for negotiation.
- 41:53Speaker 2: I must step.
- 41:54Speaker 1: In to the realm of rest on every side in
- 41:59Speaker 1: the name of Jesus Christ. So can the believer in
- 42:05Speaker 1: Christ experience rest on every side?
- 42:09Speaker 2: The answer is yes.
- 42:12Speaker 1: In spite of the economic situation, Yes, sir, in spite
- 42:17Speaker 1: of the onslaughts of demonic forces around families and territories. Yes, sir,
- 42:24Speaker 1: in spite of your delay in knowing God. Yes, sir,
- 42:29Speaker 1: in spite of the fact that it looks like it's
- 42:32Speaker 1: not easy to get jobs again, Yes, sir, in spite
- 42:35Speaker 1: of the fact that it looks like there is such
- 42:37Speaker 1: the cardens that is bedefinitely in our world. Yes, sir,
- 42:41Speaker 1: the believer in Christ, not everyone. The believer in Christ
- 42:45Speaker 1: has a superior advantage, and that in the presence of knowledge,
- 42:50Speaker 1: you can step into rest on every side. What then,
- 42:56Speaker 1: are the keys to entering rest? There are keys to
- 43:06Speaker 1: entering rest.
- 43:08Speaker 2: In this kingdom.
- 43:11Speaker 1: The Saints excel by the use of keys. A key
- 43:16Speaker 1: stands for access. There is the key to the kingdom.
- 43:22Speaker 1: The key to the kingdom is Jesus. There are not
- 43:25Speaker 1: many keys. There is only one key to the kingdom.
- 43:28Speaker 1: But when you are in the kingdom, there are the
- 43:30Speaker 1: keys off the kingdom, the principles and the mysteries by
- 43:36Speaker 1: which the Saints reign.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Allelujah.
- 43:43Speaker 1: The Bible says they know not, neither will they understand
- 43:46Speaker 1: Psalm eighty to one, Verse five. They work on in darkness,
- 43:50Speaker 1: and all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Verse sixcess I have.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Said, ye are gods, and all of you not some
- 43:58Speaker 1: of you not men of God, businessmen, not elders, not children.
- 44:02Speaker 1: All of you are children of the most High. Verse
- 44:06Speaker 1: seven says, but you shall die like mein men, and
- 44:10Speaker 1: fall like one of the princes Josia began to lament.
- 44:15Speaker 1: In chapter four and verse six. He said, speaking by
- 44:18Speaker 1: the spirit, my people are destroyed.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Listen carefully, please, my people.
- 44:25Speaker 1: That includes preachers, My people, that includes businessmen, My people,
- 44:30Speaker 1: that includes people from all the six your political zones
- 44:33Speaker 1: captured in this nation and across the nations of the earth.
- 44:37Speaker 1: My people, And yet he says, they are destroyed for
- 44:42Speaker 1: the lack of knowledge. For the lack of knowledge, please
- 44:49Speaker 1: lend me your attention for the next few minutes. That
- 44:51Speaker 1: we have haven't established the fact that calamity is the
- 44:58Speaker 1: potential lot of all all men. Calamities, tragedies, pains, discomfort
- 45:06Speaker 1: is the potential lot of all men by default, but
- 45:12Speaker 1: that there is a system in Christ that men and
- 45:17Speaker 1: women can build themselves out of tragedies and calamities and
- 45:22Speaker 1: master the art of exerting dominion, and by that they
- 45:28Speaker 1: establish practically in and through their lives that a man
- 45:32Speaker 1: can have rest on every side. Key number one, What
- 45:38Speaker 1: is the first key for anyone, whether following here this
- 45:44Speaker 1: beautiful campground, or following by way of television from any
- 45:48Speaker 1: nation at all, following online?
- 45:50Speaker 2: What is my first key?
- 45:53Speaker 1: If I want to step into the realm of rest
- 45:57Speaker 1: round about? Are you ready that this decision to be
- 46:01Speaker 1: spiritually minded? The first key, non negotiable key for anyone
- 46:10Speaker 1: who desires to work in the experience of rest roundabout,
- 46:16Speaker 1: rest on every side, is to be spiritually minded Romans
- 46:21Speaker 1: eight six. Romans eight six, Paul was speaking, and is
- 46:30Speaker 1: said to be cannerly minded is already death, death in
- 46:35Speaker 1: its entirety, And then it says, but to be spiritually
- 46:40Speaker 1: minded is life and with it peace.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Spiritually minded.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Spirituality involves a number of many experiences and dimensions, that
- 46:55Speaker 1: chiefs of them been your encounter with the Lord Jesus.
- 46:59Speaker 1: You may want to write this on thats being spiritually minded.
- 47:04Speaker 1: True spirituality starts not just with your coming to church,
- 47:09Speaker 1: not just with your listening to a man of God,
- 47:11Speaker 1: not just with your listening to a message. True spirituality
- 47:15Speaker 1: starts with your encounter.
- 47:18Speaker 2: With the Lord Jesus.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Are we still learning, still examining the first key that
- 47:24Speaker 1: to find rest roundabout you must be spiritually minded, and
- 47:30Speaker 1: that the pathway to becoming spiritually minded is number one,
- 47:35Speaker 1: to have an encounter with Jesus. Matthew, Chapter eleven and
- 47:38Speaker 1: verse twenty eight. I love Jesus. Here's what he has
- 47:42Speaker 1: to say Matthew eleven twenty eight. Can we read it together,
- 47:47Speaker 1: one to read? Please come on to me, all ye
- 47:51Speaker 1: that label and a heavy leaden.
- 47:54Speaker 2: What's the reward?
- 47:56Speaker 5: I will give you rest, not just life. I will
- 48:04Speaker 5: give your family rest. I will give your ministry rest.
- 48:08Speaker 5: I will give your business rest. I will give your
- 48:11Speaker 5: children rest. I will give your health the rest. But
- 48:15Speaker 5: the keys come on to me, Come on to me.
- 48:21Speaker 1: The Bible tells us the story of a young boy
- 48:23Speaker 1: called the prodigal Son. That boy had his share of
- 48:27Speaker 1: the inheritance and went to live at ryotos life, and
- 48:31Speaker 1: when he had so declined to a point that he
- 48:33Speaker 1: was the epitomy of calamity and felure.
- 48:36Speaker 2: The Bible says he got up one day and said.
- 48:39Speaker 1: To himself, how many hired servants as my father, and
- 48:42Speaker 1: I am here feeding with the swine. I like the boy,
- 48:45Speaker 1: He said, I will arise. He didn't say, my father
- 48:49Speaker 1: will come and meet me there. The father never never
- 48:53Speaker 1: came to meet him in the place of dicadens. I
- 48:56Speaker 1: will arise, and I will go to my father. And
- 49:00Speaker 1: when I say my father, I will say unto him, Father,
- 49:03Speaker 1: I have sin against you and against heaven. I am
- 49:06Speaker 1: not worthy to be called your son. Take me as
- 49:09Speaker 1: one of your slaves. As soon as he got up
- 49:12Speaker 1: and began to move, the father also left his house
- 49:15Speaker 1: and began to move. They met somewhere at the point
- 49:19Speaker 1: of his decision.
- 49:22Speaker 2: And encounter with Jesus.
- 49:24Speaker 1: There are many people who want to receive from God,
- 49:27Speaker 1: but they do not desire to be spiritual. With all
- 49:30Speaker 1: due respect, many politicians, many businessmen, captains of industry, parents,
- 49:38Speaker 1: young people especially, they do not desire to have an
- 49:42Speaker 1: encounter with Jesus, but they want the fruits of encounter.
- 49:46Speaker 1: There are certain things that cannot be received through a
- 49:50Speaker 1: back door. Jesus said this about himself. I am the way,
- 49:54Speaker 1: not away the way. There is a way that samn
- 49:57Speaker 1: right onto a man, the Bible says, but other ways
- 50:00Speaker 1: of death. But heyes, Jesus speaking, He says, I am
- 50:03Speaker 1: the way, I am the truth, I am the Life.
- 50:06Speaker 1: He says, no man comment to the Father except.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Through me and encounter with Jesus.
- 50:15Speaker 1: When you encounter Jesus, you are already on your way
- 50:19Speaker 1: to being secure.
- 50:21Speaker 2: Proverbs eighteen ten.
- 50:23Speaker 1: Proverbs chapter eighteen and verse ten, very powerful and profound rendition.
- 50:29Speaker 1: He says, the name of the Lord is a strong tower. Hallelujah.
- 50:32Speaker 1: The right shous runs into it, and they are say
- 50:37Speaker 1: the name of the Lord, the name of the Lord,
- 50:40Speaker 1: not the name of a man.
- 50:42Speaker 2: The name of the Lord is a strong tower.
- 50:45Speaker 1: There is no house on heir that you can hide
- 50:47Speaker 1: two in away from demons. You can hide away from
- 50:53Speaker 1: m roberts. The military can protect you against physical forces,
- 50:58Speaker 1: but they may not be able to protect you against
- 51:00Speaker 1: principalities and powers and rulers of darkness, age, long causes
- 51:04Speaker 1: that are determined to reduce you to a place of shame.
- 51:09Speaker 2: But my Bible says the name of.
- 51:11Speaker 1: The Lord is a strong power that the writers can
- 51:14Speaker 1: run into it and be shure that what killed my
- 51:17Speaker 1: father will not kill me again, What killed my mother
- 51:19Speaker 1: would not kill me again. What destroyed people from my
- 51:22Speaker 1: lineage would not. I can redefine my possibilities when I
- 51:27Speaker 1: run to Jesus, allelujah. You believe that, Oh God, you
- 51:37Speaker 1: are my God, and.
- 51:40Speaker 6: I will have a phrases oga you mya and night
- 51:52Speaker 6: will have prazy. I will seek you with the morn.
- 52:01Speaker 1: I have learnt to walk in your ways. Step bus
- 52:09Speaker 1: you leave me, and I will follow you All of
- 52:14Speaker 1: my days.
- 52:17Speaker 2: For step by step you leave me, and.
- 52:22Speaker 7: I will follow you all of my days.
- 52:27Speaker 2: Oh God, you.
- 52:29Speaker 6: Are my God, and I will ever praise you. Oh God,
- 52:39Speaker 6: you are my God, and I will.
- 52:45Speaker 2: Ever love you.
- 52:48Speaker 1: I will see you with the morning I have learnt
- 52:55Speaker 1: to walk in your ways. For step fast you leave me,
- 53:04Speaker 1: and I will follow you all of my day. Listen,
- 53:10Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, hear me. This business of Jesus Christ
- 53:15Speaker 1: is beyond church. This issue of Jesus Christ is beyond
- 53:21Speaker 1: the pretense and the hypocrisy the form of godliness. This
- 53:27Speaker 1: issue of Jesus must be a genuine encounter. There are
- 53:31Speaker 1: many things you cannot think one of it is a solid,
- 53:35Speaker 1: genuine encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 53:40Speaker 2: With all due.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Respect, there are many people in church who have not
- 53:46Speaker 1: met him. There are many people in ministry who have
- 53:51Speaker 1: not met him. There are many people serving at various
- 53:56Speaker 1: levels in ministries and Christian organizations who are working for
- 54:01Speaker 1: God but not with him.
- 54:05Speaker 2: Please listen, Please listen.
- 54:10Speaker 1: While I watch several people dancing to the praise and
- 54:14Speaker 1: worship powerfully. Among the many things that moved in my
- 54:17Speaker 1: spirit was all God. I pray and hope that this
- 54:21Speaker 1: dance is to a god, they know. I pray and
- 54:25Speaker 1: hope that this sweating and rejoicing is to a god.
- 54:29Speaker 2: You know because there were men in a place called.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Athens who were doing obey sense to an unknown god.
- 54:38Speaker 1: There are many people giving to an unknown god, singing
- 54:42Speaker 1: to an unknown god, preaching for an unknown god, moving
- 54:47Speaker 1: from place to place, wearing t shirts carrying the name
- 54:51Speaker 1: of a god.
- 54:52Speaker 2: They do not know.
- 54:55Speaker 1: You want the rest roundabout? There are things that men
- 54:59Speaker 1: cannot give. Rest is not found in a bank. You
- 55:03Speaker 1: don't find rest in a university. There is no cause
- 55:06Speaker 1: called rest. There is no chef who can cook a
- 55:12Speaker 1: meal called rest. No, it does not exist in the
- 55:16Speaker 1: world of men. Rest only resides with the ancient of days.
- 55:22Speaker 2: I will give you rest. I will give you rest.
- 55:29Speaker 1: Now watch this what discussing being spiritually minded?
- 55:33Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen. Hear me.
- 55:35Speaker 1: At the end of my discourse, I'm going to be
- 55:37Speaker 1: making an altar call, and I believe there are people here.
- 55:41Speaker 1: You've been around the things of God for a long time.
- 55:44Speaker 1: You perhaps may have had an opportunity to serve in
- 55:47Speaker 1: various capacities in church.
- 55:49Speaker 2: That does not equal.
- 55:50Speaker 1: To an encounter with God, having a Christian name, coming
- 55:53Speaker 1: from a Christian family. As advantageous as these are, they
- 55:58Speaker 1: do not in themselves translate to salvation. You must encounter
- 56:04Speaker 1: the God of the Bible, the God of the Bible.
- 56:11Speaker 2: Allelujah.
- 56:14Speaker 7: You are my God, you were my God.
- 56:30Speaker 2: How can I call on your name and end up
- 56:35Speaker 2: in shame?
- 56:37Speaker 6: No way, no way. How can I sing the song
- 56:46Speaker 6: before you and then found down before a man?
- 56:51Speaker 7: No way, no way. Because you are.
- 56:58Speaker 2: My God, Ladies and gentleman.
- 57:12Speaker 1: I'd rather be a failure with God than to succeed
- 57:15Speaker 1: without you. And when I say God, I'm talking about
- 57:18Speaker 1: Jesus Christ.
- 57:19Speaker 2: The Son of the Living God.
- 57:20Speaker 1: Because God in our world today means anything. There are
- 57:24Speaker 1: people God means themselves. There are others God means their
- 57:29Speaker 1: bank accounts. There are others God means they have several qualifications.
- 57:34Speaker 1: As important as that is. My Bible says trust in
- 57:37Speaker 1: the Lord with all your heart. Probhaps three and verse five.
- 57:40Speaker 1: It says, lean not onto your own understanding. Verse six
- 57:43Speaker 1: sys in all your ways, acknowledge she man, She shall
- 57:46Speaker 1: direct your path. Verse seven says be not wise in
- 57:49Speaker 1: your own understanding. He says, fear the Lord and depart
- 57:53Speaker 1: turn away from evil, except the lord builty house, my boy,
- 58:00Speaker 1: says the labor in vain that would build it, Except
- 58:03Speaker 1: the lord watches over his city.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Said the watchman watched, but in vain.
- 58:06Speaker 1: That it is vain to wake up in the morning
- 58:08Speaker 1: and to sleep late at night, only to eat the
- 58:11Speaker 1: bread of sorrow. The Sami said, how many a day
- 58:14Speaker 1: that rise up against me? Some three many a day
- 58:17Speaker 1: that say where is your help? But he says, thou o, Lord, tou,
- 58:21Speaker 1: oh Lord, thou o, Lord, you are a shield for me.
- 58:25Speaker 1: He calls him my glory, and the leaft tarop of
- 58:27Speaker 1: my head. The Bible says, they looked on to him,
- 58:30Speaker 1: and their faces were lightened. You cannot look up to
- 58:33Speaker 1: him and be in shame. When the serpents came to
- 58:40Speaker 1: our present nation of Israel, they had an opportunity to
- 58:44Speaker 1: look two directions, the brazen serpent representing the cross, or
- 58:49Speaker 1: the one that was coming to them. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 58:58Speaker 1: Behind the exploits and the rest of men that we
- 59:01Speaker 1: admire in our world today, men and women in ministry,
- 59:05Speaker 1: champions in the kingdom, in business, in family. Behind all
- 59:11Speaker 1: the excellence the admirable results is a passion for God.
- 59:17Speaker 1: I've had the honor of your opportunity to meet people
- 59:19Speaker 1: whose lives are an epitomy of excellence behind all of
- 59:24Speaker 1: that paraphernalia. When you come to them, you find out
- 59:28Speaker 1: that their real secret is not the intellect. Their real
- 59:31Speaker 1: secret is not the banking skill. Their real secret is
- 59:34Speaker 1: their love and their passion for Jesus Allelujah. In addition
- 59:42Speaker 1: to having an encounter with Jesus, you want to become
- 59:46Speaker 1: spiritually minded. Your prayer all times be on fire. We're
- 59:50Speaker 1: still discussing point one. This is what it takes to
- 59:54Speaker 1: be spiritually minded. Number one, to have an encounter with
- 59:58Speaker 1: the Son of the Living God.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Number two. Your prayer life.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: It is the Apostolic model that was left with the Church.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: You want to be spiritual, it is.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Not without a healthy prayer life, adds chapter two and
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: verse forty two. The Bible says, and they continued steadfastly
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: in the apostles doctrine, and in fellowship, and in breaking
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: or pread and in prayer. At chapter six and verse four,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: it says, but we will give ourselves continually to prayer
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: and the ministry of the world.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Look chapter eighteen and verse one.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: He expect a parable to the end that men ought
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: always to pray and not to faint. First the Salonia,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: chapter five and verse seventeen, he says, pray without season.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: James chapter five and verse thirteen. Is any man afflicted,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: he says.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: Let him pray. Mark eleven and verse twenty four.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: It says, what things soever ye desire when ye pray,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: believe that thou receivest them, and thou shalt have it.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, the men who will command exploits in
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: their world and find rest tame life like an animal,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: are men and women who understand the mysteries of the altar.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: We must obtain grace to pray. We must obtain grace
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: to pray. Prayer is not for men of God. It's
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: not for pastors and apostles and evangelists.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Please listen to me.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Their parents and the aged another prophet, as was old,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: she still prayed. Young men, Jesus prayed. You must pray.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: We must revite prayer as a culture with understanding. A
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: generation that does not pray will be a weak generation
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: that will never see the power of God. I tell
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: you sincerely, and I'm not just talking of need driven pray.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Give me, give me give me.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: I'm talking of men who build capacity within the spirit.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Peter say, desire to sift you like Wait, it says
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: what I have.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: Prayed for you.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: That's your faith fell not And when thou I've confided,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: strengthen your brethren. Show me a man of God who prays.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I show you a victor, one who will have rest
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: on every side. Show me a business man who prays.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Show me a mother who prays, no matter how stop
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: on that child is. Let the mother keep praying. One day,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: fire from heaven will look at that child, no matter
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: where he is. I tell you most people do not
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: know the power in prayer. Go and read charge history
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: and see people who shifted the spiritual climate or fur
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: nations not with the power of prayer. Prayer with understanding
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: can change things, Yes it can. Elijah was a man
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: of life passion, the Bible says, Yet he prayed saying
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: the name of Jesus one more time. In the name
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: of Jesus, I obtain grace to pray. If you came
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: here and your prayer life has gone down, or perhaps
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: until now you have believed that anyone who is serious
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: in the prayer life must be someone who is getting
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: into ministry. Please give yourself a renewed orientation. Prayer is
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: an instrument for a time survival. You cannot escape the
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: arrows that fly by day, the noise and persilences, the
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: destruction that waste in noonday.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: Pray for me.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Pray for me is wonderful, but you must learn to
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: fund the ambers the flames from your own altar. Dear me,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: young people, I hate to be a para of bad news,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: but let me make an honest admission. The days today
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: are very different from the days of our parents. The
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: level of honesty has changed. The level of sincerity has changed.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: You will have to use the weapon of prayer to
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: create your own reality, or otherwise get said to join
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: a long queue that may never move.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Away.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Together, Sir, pray, gentlemen, pray, pray, pray, and possible. I
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: don't have a job yet, good news, pray. Use that
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: time to pray while you are waiting. The Bible says,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: watch and pray. There is a devil who has found
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: that you will not rise. He says, say on to God,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: how terrible are that when I walk some sixty six
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: and us three through the greatness of Thy power shall die?
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Enemies submit themselves to you.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: You want to tame life, you must start out of prayer.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Mommy, don't watch your children become umbrobers and hooligans and
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: says just the times is their days. Don't let them
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: send you to the grave. No, you may not have
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: the strength to find them because they are now bigger
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: than you, or you.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: Can bring them to their knees to prayer.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Father, I will not. My womb will not give back
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: to a numbrober. No, my womb will not give bad
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: to a prostitute. I cannot give back to a child
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: that will be the reason for me to die early.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Allelujah.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: When ministre is not working, Man of God, pray, don't complain.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: There is no reward for complaining. Pray, pray.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Someone looks at you in the place of work and justys,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: I hate you. You are supposed to be the next director.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: What I hate you? You are not my tribe, You
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: are not this and you in there will only be
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: you be recording calamity upon calamity.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: Leave them in peace.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Go back to the central control room of the universe
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: and begin to pray certain things. Do you believe what
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: you're hearing? Then, in addition to prayer. You must be
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: sound in scripture. Now let me submit to you. Haven't
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: encourage you to pray. Prayer in ignorance is just wasting
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: your energy. What gives power to prayer is the word
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: compliancy of your prayer.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: This we have a generation of prayer for people, but
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: most people pray amiss.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: What gives power to your prayer is its word compliancy.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Beyond the sound of your voice, beyond your sweating and
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: rolling from left to right. If there is no word
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: compliancy to your prayer, you simply dissipated energy in futility.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: Are we together sound? In Scripture?
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: As Chapter twenty and verse thirty two, he says, And now, brethren,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: I commend you onto God and to the word of
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: His grace, which is able to build you up, he says,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: and to give you an inheritance among them that are sanctified.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: John one one to three.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: with God, and the Word was God. The Bible says
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: the same was in the beginning with God. Verse three
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: says all things were made by him the Word, all things,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: including your tomorrow, made by the Word. And without him
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: was not anything made that was made. The boundary of
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: God's commitment to the believer is his word. God cannot
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: be committed to the believer outside of the boundary of
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: his world.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: Please listen, love and people of God.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: God only does what he says, not what you want.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: If what you want is consistent with what he says,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: then it will be done. God never never does anything
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: that is outside of what he has said.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: Please give us Genesis twenty one and verse one. I
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: want us to shout. It's God helping.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Someone's spiritually minded. But discousing the case now, because rest
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: roundabout is not a gift.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Jesus said, I will give you rest.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: The word give you there does not mean you will
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: not do anything, and you will just have it because
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: you will be learning that. Paul was giving perspective to
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: our understanding of rest. He said, deary minute, a rest
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: for the people of God. Genesis twenty one and verse one.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: You see that it's good to come to church. The
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the cheap, best
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: institution that sponsors transformation. You don't have to write jamp.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: There is no age restriction, Allelujah. All other institutions have quotas.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Once the quotera is full. Sorry for you, but the church.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: All you need to do is leave your house and
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: come and sit down. You're not paying school fe ish.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Your school fez is your humility and your.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: Meekness and your diligence.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: This is important so that government will know that the
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: church is not a nuisance to civilization.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: The church is an.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Active part of the transforming force of society.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: It is true. How did I get here?
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Genesis twenty one, verse one, Please let's read it together.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: Ready, one to read.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: And the Lord visited Sarah as he has said. And
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: the Lord did onto Sarah.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: He did not visit.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: Sarah as she wanted. No, the visitation was not based
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: on her need. It was based on his word. The
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: Lord visited Joshua Selman as he has said. If you
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: cannot find what God has said, you will never find
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: what he can do. It is what he has said
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: that you will do. Show me what God has said,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: and I show you what he can do. Show me
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: what God has said, and I show you what you
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: will do. Did God say you will heal you? Then
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: I show you that is power can heal you? Did
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: God say you will lift you up? Then I show
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: you that no power can keep you down? Did God
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: say you can give you rest? Roundabout? Where is that
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: spirit that we want to tell you? When God has said.
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: Hallelujah?
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Genesis chapter one, verse three, the first three words, and
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: God said, and God said, callikapo satter. And God said,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: when you find what God has said, then you find
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: what his power can do. The limit of God's power
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: is where his word stops. And since his word is unlimited,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: it is true that his power is on limited.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: I will learning be spiritually minded.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Let me give you the last I have a few minutes,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: and I intend to take a part of it, so
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: that will pray. So the decision to be spiritually minded
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: becomes for us the first key to experiencing rest on
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: every side.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: And I'm now explaining to.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: You the implication of being spiritually minded that number one,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: it necessitates and encounter with Jesus.
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: The Son of the Living God.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: Number two, that your prayer life has to be alivee
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: and robust. Number three, your spiritual understanding needs to be
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: heightened because according to Isaiah chapter sixty and verse it says,
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: you will only arise and you will shine if and
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: when your life comes. Longevity of your stay that's not
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: equal to victory. The man was at the pull of
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: bethesda for thirty eight years. Time did not change his situation.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: The day the light of the world came to him,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: he was ready to rise. The Bible says, but the
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: people that sat in darkness have seen a great Light's
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: God speaking to us.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: Let me challenge you.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Therefore, by the messes of God, that in the course
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: of this convention, go and find relevant materials, materials that
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: speak to the various issues of concern, whether electronically or
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: by way of print. It is your responsibility under God
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: to pursue truth. The Bible says, by the truth, there
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: are certain currencies we used to buy the truth number
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: one hunger, number two, meekness, number three, passion. These are
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: the currencies that we used to buy the truth. And
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: the Bible says, if you do find the truth, is
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: a send it, not allelujah someone learning. Many believers work
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: based on superstitious ideas, and with all due respect, it
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: is this bankruptcy of light that has impor verished us
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: as a people and as a continent. We have all
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: kinds of wise sayings that are not based on scripture.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: One day, go better, no sir, No, sir, no, sir,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: You define your lot by light?
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: Are we together amplified?
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Isaiah sixty and verse one says, arise from the depression
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: and the prostration that circumstances have kept you, rise to
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: a new life. When I found out that the responsibility
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: of understanding was mine, I've found before God that there
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: will be no excuse. I hate ignorance with passion, and
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: I am ever open to know the areas where I
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: am ignorant in How do you know your areas of ignorance?
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: The areas where darkness drives, the area where pain exists,
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: The area where.
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: Suffering and pain perpetually.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Remains is the area of darkness. Such for the relevant materials.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: If it's your finances, don't keep quiet and say my
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: uncle has the power to lift me, but it's not
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: attending to me.
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: No.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: The word responsible comes from the word responsive. Responsible people
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: are people of action. They don't sit down and wait
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: for things to happen. Why is my finance like this?
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: Why am I always fighting with my husband? This marriage
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: is not a course. Why are my children stop on
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: not obeying me? Why does everybody hates me? It is
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: not unusual to be hated but if everybody hates you,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: something is wrong with you. Because even Satan, it's not
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: everybody that hates him, Allelujah, there are people who love him.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: So if everybody around you.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Hates you, it's not just a spiritual problem. You are
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: perpetually violating something. Somebody should like you enough, and all
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: you need is for one person, and if that person
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: is king a hazardous you become.
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: The queen immediately. It didn't matter how many people hate
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: that esther.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: The right person who needed to love her made her queen.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: It didn't matter how many people hate that. In Ahbayah,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: when the king loved him as a compiera, he got favor.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: Who hates you does not matter, but who likes you
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: in this kingdom. I'm praying for someone the grace that
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: must rest upon you and cause men to find favor
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: with men. In the name of Jesus made that place
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: come upon you now, Allelujah. I think I'll give one
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: more than we'll pray. I'll finish up the remaining tomorrow.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: Is that a good deal? So I've given you number one,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: the decision to be spiritually minded.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: Let's do number two.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: What is the second key to experiencing rest on every side.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: You must leave by faith. You must leave by faith
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Hulbert Cook, Chapter two and verse four. You also find
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: that in Hebrews ten and verse thirty eight, the just
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: shall leave by faith. Four times in scripture, the Bible
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: repeats it almost verbatim, that the just shall leave by faith.
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: The just shall leave by faith.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: First John, chapter five and verse four. First John Chapter
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: five and verse four. First John Chapter five and verse four.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: For whatsoever is born of God, that includes Joshua Selman,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: whatsoever is born of God over commet the world. And
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: it says, this is the victory that overcome the world.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: Help me even our faith. The man who has faith
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: is an overcomer.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: Indeed.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: And in one word, ladies and gentlemen, faith is obedience.
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: In one word, faith is obedience.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: No matter your definition of faith, if it does not
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: capture obedience, you did not define it.
- 1:17:45Speaker 7: Well.
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: Let me give you two definitions for faith if you
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: don't mind.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: Number one, faith is the confidence you have, the depth
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: of conviction that you have about God, and the in
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: tegrity of his word. Number one, faith is defined as
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: your confidence, your conviction about God and the integrity of
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: his word. The confidence and the conviction you have about
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: God and the integrity of his word. Second definition, please,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: Faith is the name given to the action of obedience
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: you think. Faith is the name given to the action
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: of obedience you take as proof that you believe. Faith
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: is the name given to the action of obedience you
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: take as proof that you believe. The proof of hearing
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: is accurate response if you have heard me, I know
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: you have heard me, because you would respond accordingly.
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: Are we together?
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Faith is defined is the name given to the action
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: that you take as proof that you believe God. If
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: it be down, bid me come, And he said come.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Most believers do not know how to live by faith.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Faith is beyond confessing the Word, as important as that is.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: Faith is beyond agreeing with God as important as that is.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Those are just various equations that ultimately lead to faith.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: The foundation for Bible faith is an awareness of the
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: promises of God. The Bible essentially is a concise capture
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: of promises, principles, and prophecies. You may want to write
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: that down that every time you open your Bible, you
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: are relating with three realms of realities. One promises a
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: definition of God's commitment to you. Scattered from Genesis to
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: revelation promises. Number two principles, the modus operandi of the
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: kingdom teaches you how to live a victorious life. Then
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: number three prophecies that give perspective and definition to the
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: events present and the events past, and events that are
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: yet to happen. So every time you lay hold on
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: God's promises, then you obtain grace to obey. Until you
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: know the demands to commit.
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: God and then obey them, you.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Are not working by faith. Let me repeat myself again
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: for your understanding. Until you know the demands connected to
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: every result. The Word of God and God is a
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: compendium of infinite possibilities. But for every result you desire
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: it kingdom, healing, breakthrough, prosperity.
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: There is a demand.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: There is always what God says to do to commit him.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: When you find it, and you obtain grace to work
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: in keeping with that instruction, then you are working by faith.
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: I submit to.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: You therefore that on the strength of this definition, many
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: believers are not working by faith. They are working on
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: sincere assumptions. They're working on hope. They're speaking Lord, I
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: believe you, but they are not working by faith. If
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: I ask one of our wonderful protocol. People here.
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: If I ask them to come and say, collect my bible.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: Whoever comes to collect my bible, I tell them there
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: is one hundred dollars bill insight.
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: That's your reward for obedience.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: If the gentleman there starts jumping and says, I'm coming,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: believe me, just a sermon.
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: I trust you.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: I know you are not a liar. It is it
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: on you the other day you gave all that talk.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: Does not you will never get it as wonderful as
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: that is. The instruction is, whoever can take the risk
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: can come someone who begin to speak from nineteen nineteen
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: nineteen today, nothing happens, and another person.
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: In one day will get up and obey.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: The one who obeys is the one who receives, not
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: the one who knows. The Bible says, now that ye
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: know these things, happy are you if you do them?
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: Theuonomy chapter twenty eight, from verse one and two. And
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: it shall come to pass, The Bible says, if thou
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: shalt diligently happen to the voice of the Lord that God,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: to do, and to observe to do, and to observe
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: to do, and to observe to do, and to observe.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: That is the character of faith. To do and to
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: observe all that I command you this day. The reward
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: the Lord your God will set sty on high are
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: both all the nations of the earth verse two. And
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: all these blessings will come upon you and will overtake you.
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: You hacken to the voice of the Lord.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Then you observe, and you do in the name of Jesus,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: the grace to do may be released upon you. The
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: first miracle that was performed by Jesus was the turning
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: of water to wine in kena of Galilee.
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: You find that in John chapter two.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: The Bible lets us know that it was a feast
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: just like this, and wine had finished, and shame was
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: already imminent. And the Bible tells us that the disciples
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: came and met Mary, the.
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: Mother of Jesus.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: She takes them to Jesus and says, Jesus says, no, no,
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: it's not yet my time, and she gives them a
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: very profound instruction.
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: In verse five. She says, whatever he says to do
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: do it.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: Whatever he says to do, not think it, not wish it,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: not assume it.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: Do it. The moment doing came.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: The willingness to do came Jesus gave an instruction, and
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: when you read verse ten and eleven, the Bible tells
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: us this beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Galilee verse eleven, and manifested his glory, and the disciples
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: believed on him. Rest roundabout you now say that it's
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: not just a gift. It is a reward for working
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: and keeping with certain principles. Let me recap one last time,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: and we pray that the key to exerting dominion over
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: situations and circumstances, commanding your portion of rest on every
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: side is number one.
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: To be spiritually minded.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: That starts with your encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: your salvation of experience.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: Then it translates to the health of your.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: Prayer life, the health of your word study, so all
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: that spiritual exercises, fasting, and so on and so forth.
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: And then.
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: Number two, you must learn to live by faith. To
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: live by faith means to live by the word of God.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: For Jesus himself said man shall not live by bread alone,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: but by every word that proceeded from the mouth of God.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: That means a believer lives on two things bread and
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: scriptural instructions. If you live on bread alone, you will
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: be wary. Your bread will be spent. It is bread
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: and scriptural instructions. Allelujah. We're going to pray tonight. I'll
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: stop here and then we'll continue tomorrow. There are two
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: other points that I want to show you, but allow me.
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: In the next three or two minutes. I'm going to
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: request that we are rise to pray, and then I
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: will speak over our lives. So night, and then wrap
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: it for my session. Have you been blessed tonight? Please
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: ripe up on your feet.
- 1:26:07Speaker 7: Hm hm.
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: This is the air. Ripe breathe, This.
- 1:26:18Speaker 8: Is the.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: Yourly presence.
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: Leaving in me.
- 1:26:41Speaker 9: This is my day. This is my day. Your fair rever.
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: Spoke to me.
- 1:27:07Speaker 10: Nah, and that's mefore, and I'm not.
- 1:27:32Speaker 7: Sway that you.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: Go ahead and begin to talk to the law and
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: shuddently from your heart shauld I desire rest. Rest round
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: about someone's praying. Men, show the very the different areas
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: in your life where you are trusting him for rest,
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: h m rest, rest, rest in my finances, somebody spraying,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: Rest in my family, Rest in my health. This five roids,
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: this cancer, this not stract condition, this board condition this defora,
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: eat it into my health.
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: I desire rest roundabout.
- 1:28:34Speaker 11: Spiritual rest, carryer rest, rest in the area of fruitfulness government.
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: Take a minute or two. You are talking to your savior,
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: your king.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: Your maker, the cauntain of yourself.
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: Picture Sava, Lama, yourself someone. Pray someone pray you were
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: my strength when.
- 1:29:16Speaker 7: I am, you are dresser, you are mine.
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: I'm sitting you, my son, keep you my listal some literal.
- 1:29:42Speaker 7: Voice of your worship.
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: You s.
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: You are worthy to be glow with five. You are
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: worthy of my teaker. You are worthy to be clone five.
- 1:30:27Speaker 7: In and through my life.
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: You are what.
- 1:30:32Speaker 12: You Aluyah.
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: Are you praying now?
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: You're going to answer Lord for a fresh passion for him,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: a fresh passion for his presence. Go ahead and pray.
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: If this is all you're receiving.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: This convention, it was a wise paday cry.
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: Fy trench passion.
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: To love you more than money, to love you more
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: than titles, to love you modern career, more than ambishop.
- 1:31:24Speaker 8: Someone.
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: Pray. You're talking to your makeup.
- 1:31:28Speaker 8: Take a minute, go to.
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: To pray Lord.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: I desire to love you, not meaning nodin a Christian
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: he shorge.
- 1:31:36Speaker 11: Goer asking for fresh fire upon your prayer life, Fresh
- 1:31:52Speaker 11: fire upon your prayer life, trash fire upon your prayer life,
- 1:31:58Speaker 11: fresh passion for the study of the world, fresh passion
- 1:32:04Speaker 11: for spiritrual understanding, fresh passion for the House.
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: Of God, the things of God, for the end that
- 1:32:13Speaker 2: you'll be spirit trully minded. Somebody is trying rest wrong
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: about Yes, the world will bow down and say you
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: are heavy man. We'll bow down and say you monkey.
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: So let's start.
- 1:32:59Speaker 8: Why peace, pa far be with you?
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: Just what alle lujah? Now I want to make an
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: altar call.
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: You are in this place, and whilst you heard me speak,
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: the spirit of God began to convince.
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: You that you need to make your way right with Jesus.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: No man condemns you, but I call you in love
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: to experience the messy of Jesus.
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: You cannot assume salvation.
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: No salvation in Jesus Christ only comes when you come
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: willingly to declare His lordship over your life.
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: I'm going to come one to five. I want to
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: leave your city. You need Jesus.
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: Run and come and cry before the Lord on the
