- 1:10You could spend your time anywhere you might be spending
- 1:13it. With us, we appreciate you.
- 1:17It's been a busy week, let me freaking tell you.
- 1:21March has come in like a lion, as usual, with the rock and
- 1:25metal news, not just a cliche about the weather.
- 1:28And I've had a week, man. I've been poked and prodded.
- 1:32I had a bunch of doctor's appointments this week.
- 1:34I'm trying to take care of myself.
- 1:37In case you missed. It last week.
- 1:38I'm engaged. I'm getting married later this
- 1:40year so I'm really excited. I'm trying to take care of all.
- 1:43This I did not maintain this temple properly for the first.
- 1:4853 years of my life, maybe I can do better.
- 1:51Going forward, let's pop open an ice cold liquid death convicted
- 1:57melon still rocking the tall boys with agave.
- 2:01Nectar and not stevia. The Missio Show.
- 2:10I love those. All right, as usual, we have a
- 2:14little. Deck to help us get started with
- 2:16the show. First, we start with the
- 2:19announcements. Let's do the damn thing.
- 2:21Hey, look at this fun little picture of me.
- 2:25If you know what this photo of me with a paying homage and what
- 2:30I'm paying homage to, drop it in the comments I may send you.
- 2:33A free T-shirt. Just for shiggles.
- 2:35That's shits and giggles as one word.
- 2:38Shiggles. Harold is here.
- 2:40J Chavez. Is here.
- 2:41What's up? What's up?
- 2:42Let's see if any of our people are joining yet.
- 2:44On the gram is a little slow to catch up.
- 2:46Let's see. And why so serious?
- 2:52All right, Looks like the gram's a little bit behind, but we'll
- 2:55see who is joining in. OK.
- 3:01Time waits for no min hurtin that liquid death.
- 3:04That's it. OG.
- 3:05Forever. Oh, Melissa.
- 3:06My fiance's in the chat. What's up?
- 3:08What's up So with? The announcements, we've got a
- 3:12few I. Feel like I'm very washed out
- 3:13here. This light's very bright.
- 3:17On me. But OK, let's see, you know.
- 3:23Every week we we tend. Hey, one out to weed is here.
- 3:27What's up? What's up?
- 3:29You know, we tend to do a lot of minutiae and I'm trying to
- 3:33change that around. And just get the details.
- 3:36Out of the way. We are still.
- 3:37Giving away tickets if you're in the LA area.
- 3:39Or you can. Get to LA in mid-May.
- 3:41You. Possibly could see what might be
- 3:44the very well last tour from Echo and the Bunnymen playing
- 3:47all their hits 45. Years of hits at the Greek
- 3:50Theatre. The legendary Greek Theatre in
- 3:52LA. I'd love to catch that tour.
- 3:55I don't. Know if it's possible but going
- 3:58to try. Going to give it a try, let's
- 4:00see who. Is on the gram.
- 4:02What's up, Yoda? Your cherry Yoda, my high school
- 4:05buddy and metalhead. Great to see you, bro.
- 4:08Chrissy Fox is here. What's up?
- 4:09What's up? Great to see you all.
- 4:11Thanks, Ben. Congrats on your new.
- 4:13York Times feature with your parents I.
- 4:15Was so stoked I showed it to a bunch of people.
- 4:17Proud of you and looking forward to more.
- 4:19Art and music from you in the. Future.
- 4:22Also also, you know, I'm not going to do an extensive section
- 4:27on this today, but just for a second, I'm going to talk about
- 4:31this Joseph Satter. Who is the?
- 4:34Co founder of the Middle East nightclub in Boston.
- 4:38This is Seminole punk rock and metal club and other kinds of
- 4:43music too. He operated multiple venues at
- 4:46the place in Cambridge and just an epicenter of art and music
- 4:53and also Middle Eastern food. They opened the Sonia when TT
- 5:00Bears closed. So just you know what you know,
- 5:04sad that he passed away. He had been back up.
- 5:07North after moving to Florida. He had visited.
- 5:10Back NA few months back and I guess some people saw him.
- 5:14And yeah, just so sad. I I have so many fond and
- 5:18wonderful memories of the Middle East, including some fundraiser
- 5:21shows. I saw ghosts there for the first
- 5:23time in on their first American. Tour so many great punk bands at
- 5:29all the different places. There, upstairs and down.
- 5:32And just, yeah, just super sad. We're not going to do a huge
- 5:36section this week on all this stuff, but I'll try to bring it
- 5:39back next week proper. And also Jeff of the band Liars.
- 5:44I don't know if the instrument Liars sort of a garage rock band
- 5:50and and also his earlier 80s garage rock punk the Liars and
- 5:55then DMZ, which was sort of his earlier.
- 5:58Group had been diagnosed with bladder cancer and is undergoing
- 6:01chemo. He's already. $10,000 in the
- 6:03hole. In debt and raise money through
- 6:06a GoFundMe which we will link in the description after.
- 6:10I should. Have linked it in the
- 6:11description. Before.
- 6:12But you know, all these things are a work in progress.
- 6:16My dog, yeah, I just dropped it in the.
- 6:30That's me clack clacking one of my least.
- 6:32Favorite fucking exercises, but here we are.
- 6:35But I wanted to make sure I shared that and we did the Neil
- 6:37Jameson GoFundMe for his. Wife and daughter in the last
- 6:41few weeks. Also, I'm going to drop the tip
- 6:44menu if you're feeling tipsy. Not my regular real ones, not
- 6:47anybody on staff. But.
- 6:51If you're feeling tipsy and you want to drop us a tip, I'm
- 6:53grateful we do get some money from advertising.
- 6:55Not a whole. Lot some.
- 6:58I do believe that's going to be changing in the future, but
- 7:00still just like being in a band running an independent music
- 7:05journalism enterprise is basically a, you know, just like
- 7:09a band, a struggle. Well, we are building a
- 7:12community here. I'm a real big believer in the
- 7:14power of the Free Press. And a lot of stuff that's out
- 7:17there is just trash, like a lot of trash information.
- 7:24And I have an interesting one to talk about.
- 7:26But like, you see them popping up constantly.
- 7:28If, if a social media or a website doesn't look like it
- 7:32really covers rocket metal, don't go there, you know, just
- 7:36like don't believe what they have to say, you know, So, But
- 7:43yeah, all right. Again, if you're feeling tipsy,
- 7:47we appreciate it. If not, we understand righty.
- 7:51That's our Cash App in. Case you're curious, now it's
- 7:54time to talk about the features I'll put myself.
- 7:56Embigging myself again. It's me again.
- 8:05That's a better view. That's a better view looking in
- 8:10view. All right, so on with the
- 8:18features brand new interviews this week on our YouTube and
- 8:21podcast. I talked to Joe Nollie of Earn
- 8:25Earns Brand new albums out now via Spine Farm Records.
- 8:29You know that Earn are kind of the proteges of Cogira.
- 8:33Joe Duplanti is on their record. He produced their last.
- 8:35Record. And, you know, I just feel
- 8:38really fortunate to have that mutual respect and friendship
- 8:43going with some of these bands. So we're not close friends, but
- 8:46like, you know, when we get to talking about music.
- 8:49It's like talking. To an old friend and it feels
- 8:51real good. Also this week, a brand new
- 8:55interview with Baca of Necro Fire.
- 8:57Baca's his black metal name, Christian Larson of the band
- 9:01Necro Fire. New album out now on Metal Blade
- 9:03Records. Incredible.
- 9:04One of the best black metal albums of the early year so far.
- 9:08Along with a few others that I'm fond of great interviewing.
- 9:11He also books the Hell's Heroes Festival, which is coming up
- 9:14next weekend or the weekend after next.
- 9:17Excuse me. And we'll be talking more about
- 9:19that festival next week and during this week.
- 9:21But check out my interview with Christian one more time.
- 9:25Also just recently, we interviewed Warren Haynes.
- 9:28You know him best from Government Mule and The Allman
- 9:30Brothers. He's got a reimagining of his
- 9:33debut solo out Mount Now and our own Don De Lamont.
- 9:35Talk to him. You know, Don is also my Co host
- 9:38the Glacial Musical podcast. Don has his own show here on
- 9:42YouTube and podcasts called Talking the Talk with Don and
- 9:45his own blog Southeast of Heaven.
- 9:48So yeah, really fantastic stuff. So, all right, Noah Vilhan is
- 9:56here. Harold is here.
- 9:58Good to see you again. Father of Butter Bear is here
- 10:02and Liquid Bean is here. Liquid Bean?
- 10:06Yeah, man. Yoda.
- 10:06Thank you so much, Brother I. Appreciate you, it's always
- 10:09great to see you pop up in my feeds and DMS.
- 10:12So Warren Haynes interview is pretty major for us on our
- 10:15podcast. We have some more exclusive
- 10:17stuff coming to our podcast. I don't know, a live stream last
- 10:21night where I or Wednesday night where I broke down Louder than
- 10:25Life and Aftershock. Louder than Life line up
- 10:28probably a little bit better, and unexpectedly great
- 10:31Aftershock a little mixed. If you're a die hard hardcore
- 10:34metal person is probably not for you as much as it used to be.
- 10:38It's a lot of metal core and Gen.
- 10:39Z bands, but I think you have to have those Gen.
- 10:42Z and younger bands. To sort of bolster the older
- 10:46scene because let's face it man, a lot of us are not going out
- 10:48there for a four day. Festival and we're covering sick
- 10:53new world in April and I've been hearing some rumblings that
- 10:56people aren't happy about it and maybe these other festivals have
- 10:58come out and they're cheaper from one more day, you know, the
- 11:01same price for more days but. Like I have to say, as an
- 11:04attendee of Sick New World, it was fantastic.
- 11:07I know Vegas is really hard to be affordable, right?
- 11:09Now we're going to talk about Vegas and the whole Metallica of
- 11:11everything, but really. You know, I, I think.
- 11:17Sickney World is a tremendous show.
- 11:19And has things other things don't have.
- 11:20So we do live streams all the time.
- 11:21Last week I reviewed the brand new Rob Zombie album.
- 11:24Surprisingly excellent. I was very surprised.
- 11:27This is going to be the first Rob.
- 11:28Zombie album in a long time. I listened to well after it came
- 11:32out and next week I'll be review We will have on our website a
- 11:38full review of the new Lamb of God.
- 11:40I will have a. Lamb of God video up Monday or
- 11:42Tuesday. I'm hoping for Monday and I do
- 11:45have a lot going on on Monday. And what's up again, Harold,
- 11:49thanks for being here. Huggy Bear is here.
- 11:52You know, I always say this show is your show also.
- 11:54Just like I say at every interview, this is your
- 11:56interview also, so you know, feel free if you've got
- 11:59questions about what's. Going on in the world of music.
- 12:02I may be able to. Answer some of them, but I'm
- 12:04going to try to do at least one live stream next week.
- 12:06At least the Lamb of God review, if not a few more.
- 12:09There's quite a bunch of stuff going on.
- 12:11Record store. Day is coming soon.
- 12:13The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced their thing, so we'll
- 12:16talk all about that. Also did Metallica, the Sphere,
- 12:20and it is wild. And I asked the question, can
- 12:24you afford it? And the answer is probably not.
- 12:26Probably not, but we'll find out.
- 12:29We'll find out. We also have a podcast.
- 12:32This show will be a podcast. Check out my brand.
- 12:35Oh, thanks so much Harold for sharing the live I.
- 12:37Appreciate you. You know this show's a podcast.
- 12:39Check out the brand new podcast logo.
- 12:42Sort of. Refashioned by my co-owner Omar
- 12:45Cordy. And yeah we we do pop.
- 12:49We have podcasts wherever you listen to podcasts.
- 12:51And because I don't have enough to do, I am the Co host of the
- 12:54Glacially musical podcast Beer, Metal and Swearing.
- 12:57We started a new series last week on Megadeth.
- 13:00Our new episode is out now reviewing Deep dive review of P
- 13:05Sells and who's Buying. Does it still hold up?
- 13:07Is it still as great as it was back then?
- 13:10Is 1986 the best year ever in metal?
- 13:12It's possible. We talk about all the things.
- 13:18We have a chaser next week. We usually do the series, the
- 13:20drink and then the chaser and the chaser next week is going to
- 13:23be on. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
- 13:25on that show, but I may do my own part on it as well.
- 13:27Because I have many thoughts. OK, now it's time for the news
- 13:32rundown. And as usual, we start the news
- 13:34rundown. We talk about metal festivals.
- 13:39Let's talk about festivals. Oz Fest is definitely coming
- 13:44back according to Sharon Osbourne, and she has said now
- 13:47confirmed Oz Fest will have at least two shows in Birmingham,
- 13:50England, followed by a multiple date US run.
- 13:55Now I think their plan is to look at what Warped Tour did
- 13:58when they came back, started with three, now it's going to 5
- 14:02or 6 next year, maybe 8 to 10 and just build it that way
- 14:07instead of a full tour. Make it a little more regional
- 14:10focused. I think you could see more UK
- 14:13and European bands in Europe. It's very expensive to come over
- 14:16here, but clearly the Oz. Fest would be, you know, a huge
- 14:21comeback if it does. I went to many of the Oz fest
- 14:24and I love. Them Mayhem Fest was
- 14:26occasionally touching. The greatness of Oz Fest had its
- 14:29moments when it was great. I wasn't 100% thrilled with the
- 14:32Mayhem Fest that we had in 24, did not come back for 25 or is
- 14:38supposed to rebrand as Miss Mayhem Fest and then I never
- 14:41heard about it. Maybe it'll happen for the next
- 14:43year they took. A year off.
- 14:45But Osfest is coming back. What do you think?
- 14:48Osfest gave us so many things. Battle for, You know, we because
- 14:51we got Ozfest, we got the. Osbournes we would not have had.
- 14:55One without the other, so, you know, always remember that
- 15:00aftershock. As I mentioned, announced their
- 15:02lineup My Chemical Romance. Limp Bizkit.
- 15:04Pierced the veil for the first time ever headlining in American
- 15:06Festival and Tool. Are your headliners along with
- 15:09Offspring? Suicide Boys the day to.
- 15:14Remember and Queens of the Stone Age who have a brief tour coming
- 15:17up soon. Excited about them.
- 15:19Otherwise maybe not a strong a line up.
- 15:22Two years ago they had Pantera and Slayer and.
- 15:24Judas Priest that I made and I had to miss that one due to
- 15:26illness. That sucked, but.
- 15:30Do tell. Maybe it's.
- 15:32Going to Rocklahoma Slayer. Headlining Harold, that rules.
- 15:35We did talk about Rocklahoma last week.
- 15:38I think it may still be in the deck here today and I believe
- 15:42we'll get some more tour dates from Slayer, either festivals
- 15:45that pop up or they're going to do like that, that test run in
- 15:48Pennsylvania, that one day Slayer concert.
- 15:52I think you could see that happening in a few places.
- 15:54Maybe Slayer get their own festival.
- 15:56But Rocklahoma looks pretty damn good.
- 16:00So, you know, absolutely, you know, absolutely a doable thing.
- 16:09Planet Rock'n'roll is here. What's up?
- 16:11What's up? Yeah.
- 16:13Rocklahoma looks good. We we did that last week.
- 16:16OK. Also 2000 trees in the UK pre
- 16:20day with pup and Sprints alkaline.
- 16:22Trio funeral for. A friend and neck deep.
- 16:24It's usually more punk rock and post metal, you know, metal core
- 16:28and you know post hardcore but kind of a good looking line up.
- 16:33I love seeing Mariachi L Bronx and the Bronx there.
- 16:36Sunny day Real estate, Come Back is legit, Mallory Knox, Glass
- 16:40Jaw High, Biz Marmosets, great bands, all Outside Lands.
- 16:46Not a real big thing for me personally, but fun to see.
- 16:49Turnstile have, you know, be one of the headliners of Outside
- 16:53Lands here in the Bay Area with a handful of artists I know and
- 16:56a majority of artists I do not know anything about.
- 16:59So you know some of these bands, you know the Stroke's fine,
- 17:03Charlie XEX fine. If you like pop music, you know
- 17:08Empire of the Sun Labyrinth, so pretty interesting.
- 17:11Geese is a blowing up a lot. So we'll see.
- 17:15We shall see This looks. Cool The Mountain Music
- 17:20festival. I had a bunch of jokes ready for
- 17:22this. So the Mountain Music Festival,
- 17:23Brett Michaels, 38 Special Night Ranger, Sebastian Bach, Warrant
- 17:27Jackal, Lita, Ford Lynch, Mom, John Waite and Vixen along with
- 17:33White Lion, Dangerous Toys and a bunch of others.
- 17:37Definitely divorced dad energy for the Mountain music festival,
- 17:41which I believe is in Gatlinburg, TN.
- 17:44Gatlinburg. I believe the Gatlin gun.
- 17:46Comes from there. Also in the festival news,
- 17:54Shamrock Slaughter fest with a bunch of illegible bands except
- 17:59for Sanguisa Goboggan. Incantation.
- 18:02Definitely in sell neckbeard energy for this festival.
- 18:07But it still. Looks cool, not necessarily
- 18:11another festival I would go to but one in also similar to
- 18:15Outside Lands in my backyard. Petaluma music festival.
- 18:18Keeping music in school so this is tied to the school districts
- 18:22here in California. 10,000 Maniacs, The Smithereens, Chuck
- 18:26Profit and the Mission Express. Alejandro Escovedo.
- 18:30Cherry Pop and Daddy's. Spike Sykes and his awesome
- 18:34hotcakes. Van Gogh and others.
- 18:38This is definitely people trying to relive the, you know, hippies
- 18:44trying to relive the 90s and 80s.
- 18:46A lot of hacky sack energy here. A lot of vegan and tofu energy
- 18:51for the Petaluma music festival. But I did love The Smithereens
- 18:54in High. School and I always liked 10,000
- 18:56maniacs and their Unplugged is particularly great because they
- 18:59covered Patti Smith, who's the greatest.
- 19:02Warp Tour continues to add more bands.
- 19:04Like I said, once this Warp Tour ad is done rolling out their
- 19:08lineup, which you know, always is subject to change.
- 19:10I will do a big. Breakdown on the whole Warp
- 19:12tour. All the dates, all the bands.
- 19:15But we're just not there yet. Dillinger has arrived, just like
- 19:177 dust has arrived. Dillinger, we missed you last
- 19:20week when I was talking about the Greg and Better Lovers
- 19:23split. If you've got any inside track
- 19:26on who you would like to see. Or who you think will be the
- 19:29new. Singer It will not be Keith
- 19:30Buckley, but I don't know who could do the job.
- 19:36Because Greg is a singular talent and I don't know that
- 19:38anybody can sing or scream as well as him.
- 19:42That Paddy cover, that's right, Melissa, but yes, thanks.
- 19:46For being here and Dillinger, I appreciate you.
- 19:47I. Hope it's not.
- 19:48Too late where you are. I'm going on at this unusual
- 19:51time. You got the new Tail Gunner.
- 19:52Good album, good band. We were trying to interview that
- 19:56band because they were on Napalm Records, that label we like a
- 19:58lot and I think it didn't work out, but I wouldn't rule out
- 20:03that we will still get into them.
- 20:05I I like Tail Gunner has energy that kind of reminds me of
- 20:09Enforcer from Sweden or Lost Society from Finland.
- 20:14Like up and coming heavy metal crossover thrash and heavy metal
- 20:18loving dudes. So I'm always down with that.
- 20:32People texting me all right, but you work to on more news to
- 20:35come. Also again, I am confirmed to be
- 20:38going to the Mojave experience going to be joined by my homeboy
- 20:42and ghost called Co conspirator cultist Wayne Edwards.
- 20:46He's done a lot of stuff for us. Milwaukee metal fest.
- 20:50I'm psycho Las Vegas we did together or at least we're both
- 20:54attending. So I'll be at this.
- 20:56I'm really stoked. I've never been to Joshua Tree.
- 20:59I am flying into Ontario, CA. We're going to drive out
- 21:02together. We're going to drive back
- 21:03together. So I'm going to have a little
- 21:05adventure. Hoping to go to Milwaukee Metal
- 21:07Fest. Also, I had mentioned that
- 21:08that's coming up in a few slides.
- 21:11Also here is Milwaukee metal. Fest, Acid bath, Kill switch,
- 21:14Engage, ministry, Obituary, suicidal machine, Head, Napalm
- 21:18Death. It's like all my favorite bands.
- 21:20Death Angel playing all of that three violence.
- 21:23Pallbearer looks really cool nails.
- 21:29And we were bringing you news the last few weeks about the
- 21:33Punk in the Park touring festival and bands dropping off
- 21:36because they didn't like the politics of the founder of the
- 21:39fest. And now the the all the bands
- 21:42had dropped off and they cancelled the tour.
- 21:44So I think they can. Pull off the punk in the parks.
- 21:46When they're stand alone little fests.
- 21:49I think the idea of this touring thing is it's very unpopular.
- 21:54I mean, I don't know if it's fair or not.
- 21:55If somebody was very liberal and you didn't like their stance on
- 21:58things, you might not want to deal with them.
- 22:01You know, I can understand it, I really do.
- 22:04But here we are. Also, Youngblood has his own
- 22:08festival and I know some people were like, who are these bands?
- 22:11Youngblood has his third annual Blood Fest in Chechiya, former
- 22:16Czech Republic. It's now called Chechiya
- 22:18Youngblood. Biffy Cleroe.
- 22:19Much bigger in Europe than here, but great band.
- 22:22A festival and arena headliner in Europe, especially England
- 22:26and just not known here in America.
- 22:28Primal Scream, great band from about 30 years ago, still
- 22:31kicking it. Pelaye Royale.
- 22:33I mean they've been around 10 plus years.
- 22:35Great band and then some more underground bands.
- 22:38Destroyed Lonely Leap, Pale Waves, Jesse to Stark, Bambi
- 22:44Thug we know about and Nieve Ella and Pam damn rabbit Pam
- 22:50rabbit. I can't tell what this fun but
- 22:52anyway this is coming up this summer.
- 22:54Youngblood is just riding. A wave of.
- 22:56Success, whether you dig it or not, whether you like him or
- 23:00not. He is getting Co signed by.
- 23:01Everybody all right, that was. All the festivals.
- 23:05Now it's time to talk about the rest of it.
- 23:09The concerts and one offs. Man Metallica.
- 23:12I went on a complete tirade about this.
- 23:15If you go listen to this. Week's Glacially Musical
- 23:17podcast. Look man, I love Metallica.
- 23:20I've seen Metallica more than any other band ever and the real
- 23:25cold hard reality is they. According to Consequence of
- 23:28Sound, the entire sphere run is now sold out.
- 23:32Even though the pre sales were not all over, there was
- 23:35definitely supposed to be ticket on sales this week and next week
- 23:39they're all sold out. They've sold out twenty of
- 23:41these. They only had 20 something shows
- 23:43booked this whole year until the sphere was announced.
- 23:45So I get it. It's extremely.
- 23:47Lucrative. They're going to make a.
- 23:49Bundle of money when Metallica doesn't have to move from city
- 23:52to city to city, it's super, you know, cost effective for them
- 23:57because they have multiple sets of stages and rigs on call and
- 24:02they can have just one. Crew.
- 24:04They can fly in and out every weekend and they're taking off
- 24:07most of November and December. Just a couple of shows each
- 24:09month, probably family time, hopefully to write some new
- 24:12music. But you know, I'm just very
- 24:14disappointed. Not surprised because it's a
- 24:16business. It's the music business, man.
- 24:18It's not the music friendship. Metallica has given me so much
- 24:20and they asked for very little from me.
- 24:23But I would say that I'm very disappointed that they didn't at
- 24:25least make it remotely. Affordable for the average fan
- 24:29and honestly their fan base is not so economically.
- 24:33You know you. Could make a case that
- 24:34Metallica's fans are younger and therefore not as economically
- 24:38stable as let's say Dead fans who've been doing this for
- 24:40decades where they follow the band out.
- 24:42They're Dead, sold out every show at about 1/3 of the cost or
- 24:461/4 of the cost. I do know some people who got in
- 24:48luckily managed to get cheap tickets for this, but for the
- 24:52most part they were $1000 a ticket.
- 24:54For the worst. Seats.
- 24:56So I just don't know. I just don't know.
- 24:58I do know the sphere did a thing.
- 25:00I don't know if it's still applicable because the tickets
- 25:03are gone, but they had a thing where.
- 25:05Hey, trust Mantosis here. What's up again?
- 25:08Thanks for being here pal. There was a thing with this fear
- 25:11where if you bought their package ticket for the year
- 25:14calendar year, you can go to 1 show of everything.
- 25:17At this fear. So that's kind of cool.
- 25:19For 2600 bucks, if you are live in Vegas or California, go to
- 25:23Vegas a lot. Maybe it'd be worthwhile.
- 25:25But right this second I resigned myself that I'm not going to get
- 25:28to go. And I'm not sour grapes.
- 25:31I'm just pissed and disappointed that they didn't really consider
- 25:33the fans. We're in the like the one of the
- 25:35worst economic crisis of all time, of all time recessions and
- 25:41depressions. Are you?
- 25:41I don't. Know how much you know you want
- 25:43to lecture on. Finance during the Rocket Metal
- 25:45news show, but recessions and depressions are usually graded
- 25:48later. But all indications are that we
- 25:50are sucking ass and a war we didn't want isn't going to help.
- 25:53Soapbox over Metallica the sphere.
- 25:57So lots of luck, I'm sure they'll.
- 25:59Find a way to put it out on DVD or Blu-ray, or monetize it
- 26:02somehow, or edit it and put those videos out on YouTube or
- 26:04wherever they do. Also, the second biggest news of
- 26:08the week, somehow Twisted Sister and Sebastian Bach are teaming
- 26:12up for Ford. No one saw this coming.
- 26:14No one saw this coming. Sebastian Bach and Twisted
- 26:17Sister, you know, Dee Snyder has Dee Snyder have, you know, has
- 26:25basically stepped down from the band because of his health.
- 26:28It seemed pretty like not great or pleasant or, you know,
- 26:31possibly acrimonious. And so, you know, I wish the
- 26:37best for Dee. This is a great photo of Dee
- 26:39taken by Orono Marcordi. I just interviewed Baz for his
- 26:43solo stuff and he if he knew about it, he didn't let on
- 26:46because you know, I kind of brought it up in his interview
- 26:50about. Dee, who is a hero of his.
- 26:52He had a Twisted Sister patch. On his high school battle
- 26:55jacket. And I think actually Baz will do
- 26:57a great job. He'll be professional.
- 26:59If the band can keep it together and do more, they will.
- 27:03Angel is Snow Angels here. Manuel in 427 is here.
- 27:09Jack Cinco is here. Art, what up?
- 27:13The fools who purchased the Snake Pit tickets are about to
- 27:15get a real big shocker. This fear is an unconventional
- 27:18venue. Being in the nosebleeds gets the
- 27:20better deal. Good to know.
- 27:21Good to know. I've never been.
- 27:24Guns and Roses announced tornadoes.
- 27:26People always complain online. Who come?
- 27:28Nobody ever plays my town. Well, Guns and Roses, Australia,
- 27:32New Zealand, Tasmania, it's your turn.
- 27:36They have added dates for the current world tour about to kick
- 27:41off and Guns and Roses thanks for all the.
- 27:43Love, Carol. I appreciate you.
- 27:45You're awesome. They're about to add those
- 27:49dates. Airborne.
- 27:50Former Ghost Co interviewees and festival friends are going to
- 27:53open Airborne IF. You love Bon Scott ACDC you will
- 27:56love. Airborne with a little more
- 27:58heavy metal. Carissa Sage is here.
- 28:01What's up? What's up?
- 28:02Fairy Rain this year, we've been here before.
- 28:04Things for stopping by. This is a bit of a surprise.
- 28:07Killswick Engage headline tour with Machine Head, Iron Reagan
- 28:12and Havoc opening SO2 surprises here.
- 28:15Machine Head has been doing most, you know, kind of went
- 28:18back and started doing tours again, Headline tours.
- 28:20Are Co headline tours. And then they were, you know,
- 28:24they done went back and did a little bit of an evening with.
- 28:28And now they're going to open for kill switch.
- 28:30Which is interesting that they will be an opening.
- 28:31Band but actually might help them because they're it should
- 28:34be crossover between the fans. They did have a song together on
- 28:37Machine Heads record. 2 records. Ago so you know it might
- 28:42actually be amazing Iron Reagan then also headlining over you
- 28:46know, not headlining but on the bill over havoc.
- 28:48It would have been around quite a long time, but I think there's
- 28:50a lot of excitement for the return of.
- 28:51Iron Reagan Municipal waste on hiatus maybe?
- 28:54Riding a new record, I know Cannabis Corpse, another
- 28:57municipal waste side band, is sort of defunct now.
- 29:01And so Iron Reagan is back. So this is a fun tour.
- 29:04I would like to catch this. This is happening in late.
- 29:06June. I'm moving around late June.
- 29:10There's a lot going on. We'll see Gorillas have the
- 29:13number one song in most of the world this weekend, the number
- 29:15one album, and they have just announced The Mountain, which is
- 29:18their new album, The Mountain Tour 2026 starting late fall or
- 29:22in September. Excuse me of the.
- 29:24US and Canada so. North American tour not too
- 29:28shabby. Seven dust in addition.
- 29:32To tour dates opening for Alter Bridge that just ended.
- 29:35Had their own headline tour with Atreyu, Fire from the Gods and
- 29:40American adrenaline. OK, all righty then.
- 29:47That's kicking off in about 5 weeks, metalheads.
- 29:51Sasquatch is here. Daisy Dillon is here.
- 29:54What up? What up?
- 29:55Black asteroid? Welcome back, Cat Wood.
- 29:57What's up? I owe you an e-mail.
- 29:59The extreme metal analyst is here.
- 30:01It's good to see people. I appreciate you.
- 30:04All for stopping by. So good to see you all.
- 30:11On Earth, who just resigned to metal Blade Records, has
- 30:14announced some European summer tour and metal.
- 30:18Blade is the. Record label that put on Earth
- 30:20on out in the first place. The oncoming coming Storm is
- 30:23like what are the pinnacle records of the metal core genre?
- 30:27And I'm hyped for them to come back and and make a big comeback
- 30:30with that band. So it's kind of fun.
- 30:32I'm into it. And they have headline shows and
- 30:35festivals pallbearers on tour right now going through the end
- 30:43of May or through the end of April.
- 30:44Excuse me, with the death metal band Death and black metal band
- 30:48Knoll opening for them. Playing all of their Foundations
- 30:51of Burden album. In.
- 30:52Full, which is exciting. Hoping to catch that somewhere
- 30:56soon. And you know, again, like I
- 30:58said, I say this all the time to people like you got a really,
- 31:02Nobody is a casual metal. Head you got to.
- 31:04Love your bands, go see your bands.
- 31:07I understand time. I got to really pick and choose
- 31:09my battles. It's really expensive.
- 31:12I don't know quite what to do, but like, you know, where am I,
- 31:17you know, be judicious, man. But go see your favorite bands
- 31:22on tour because I think like you're seeing a lot of tours get
- 31:27cancelled, You're seeing bands drop off tours, you're seeing
- 31:30festivals cancelled because there's just not a lot of.
- 31:34There, there. This is Slo Mosa by the way.
- 31:38They are doing their first headline tour of America ever.
- 31:41Great Stoner doom band new album out.
- 31:42Last year, Grilly. Killer.
- 31:44Fishbone is putting out the in your face 40 year anniversary.
- 31:49Album play tour where they're going to do an album in.
- 31:52Full all the opening. Bands on the tour over
- 31:54different. Legs have played on their new
- 31:56covers album where people reinterpreted Fishbone songs,
- 32:00metal and punk interpretations of of their music, which is rad.
- 32:06We had an interview with Angela Moore last year.
- 32:08New Fishbone album out recently, Stockholm Syndrome, which came
- 32:13out last year. So they're just striking while
- 32:14the iron is hot. I'm really excited for them.
- 32:17And again, thanks and shout out to everybody watching if you
- 32:20like and subscribe or give us a super thanks or a super chat.
- 32:23I will talk about whatever you. Want to You can hijack the show
- 32:26if you tip us well. This is an interesting band.
- 32:31All the ex members of Mushroom Head got together and they're
- 32:33going to go play Mushroom Head songs on tour as the X the EX.
- 32:38Faces and I thought this is hilarious, super interesting J
- 32:46man gravy pig Venus, you know just insane, insane.
- 32:54Stitch des Rocks is so a rock artist from New York City and
- 33:01they are going on tour soon. Very exciting stuff.

- 33:18at Bottom of the Hill, along with Early Moods and the local
- 33:22opener's Psychic. Hit who?
- 33:23I've raved. About In the past, Witchcraft
- 33:25was wonderful. Their new EP comes out next week
- 33:28and. They were just marvelous and I
- 33:30was home in my house by like 11:00 PM or before.
- 33:35It was fantastic. That's the energy I need.
- 33:39Also, I talked about this a little bit a few months ago.
- 33:42Emerson, Lincoln, Palmer, obviously two members defunct,
- 33:46doesn't really matter. Carl Palmer still alive, still
- 33:48kicking ass on drums. An evening with Emerson Lake and
- 33:52Palmer, or what passes for the music of Emerson Lake and
- 33:54Palmer. Carl is brilliant, one of the
- 33:57best drummers I've ever seen live.
- 33:58I haven't seen the band in about 35 years.
- 34:01Don't know if I would go again if Yochiro is still.
- 34:03Here he might. Go.
- 34:05I wonder, But like, yeah, I don't know.
- 34:08I don't know how I feel about going, but it's tempting.
- 34:12They are playing up here in the wine country.

- 34:19I don't know if my partner will want to go.

- 34:25interview with Brendan Small between me and Omar of Ghosts

- 34:44Feel very, you know, he's really appreciative.
- 34:46It's a very good relationship. So Monmouth and Death Clock.
- 34:49Co headlining. With Castle Rat.
- 34:51Opening SO. Really killer and I see Death
- 34:54Clock already booked for some festivals and stuff in the fall
- 34:58so I think that. Means we will get more death
- 35:02clock tour. Dates in the fall.
- 35:05Here's Ultra Sudden, who had a new album out last year.

- 35:45ever had in recent years. Rowing.
- 35:46That's right man, rowing. It's wild.
- 35:49How do you feel about bands with like no original members?
- 35:52Yochiro, how do you? Feel about You'd be a person to
- 35:55know. We both share a love of Def
- 35:57Leppard and Miss Steve Clark. A lot of bands are out there
- 36:00with no original members. Man Foreigner, No original
- 36:03members. Anymore just kind of out there
- 36:06touring. Playing the music I want to play

- 36:28I have to stop singing on these live.
- 36:30Streams because I'm getting demonetized.
- 36:32Am I going to see the black queen?
- 36:35TBD my friend TBD It's hard I know a lot of.
- 36:38People who are getting. Literally turned inside out
- 36:41because of the Greg situation and you know this is what
- 36:46happens. When our heroes fail us.
- 36:48You know, I remember being a little kid in the 80s, a
- 36:51teenager and my dad, I would get mad if like, you know, lost the
- 36:57light there. I'd get mad if one of my heroes
- 37:00let me down. And you know, my dad was like,
- 37:03you know, you shouldn't worship any of these bands.
- 37:06They're not your people. You know, they're not your
- 37:11people. You just like artists.
- 37:14And musicians. My mom took me to all these
- 37:16great jazz shows. Everybody was on fucking drugs.
- 37:20You know, and I didn't question it.
- 37:21I was. Just like, oh, that's what
- 37:22they're supposed to do is do drugs, you know, so wacky.
- 37:27Shit. But anyway.
- 37:30All right, halfway through the show, I'll.

- 42:55The big news of the week This week was the anniversary of the.
- 42:59Debut of X. Files March the 3rd 1993
- 43:03probably changed my whole life. My favorite show of all time.
- 43:06All the things tickles all the things.
- 43:08They predicted so much also. Time for the news.
- 43:13Let's go. There's a report out this is.
- 43:17Super. Interesting to me that.
- 43:19Gen. Z is driving physical media.
- 43:21Sales for the first. Time ever sort of young, you
- 43:26know, Maybe they're in the gig. Economy, maybe they have a
- 43:28degree, maybe they have a high, a decent income, but for
- 43:31whatever reason they are buying physical CE and DVD's more than
- 43:36even more that that segment of people, even more than records,
- 43:42which I love and I collect, but like you know, maybe I'm not
- 43:45those. People, but anyway.
- 43:48I thought that was a super interesting.
- 43:49Factoid to kick things off with this week.
- 43:51OMG Fugazi has finally teamed up with Discord to release their
- 43:57demos recorded with Steve Albini.
- 43:59We've seen the trend of this recently where Killing Joke put
- 44:02out there, Steve. Albini Records or someone who
- 44:05had the rights? To them did if they didn't, but
- 44:09super interesting that that came out.
- 44:10I didn't get a chance to listen to it today.
- 44:11Big Fugazi. Fan.
- 44:13I should check that out. All righty, this was also super
- 44:18interesting to me. You know, again things come to
- 44:23me. People send me tips if you got
- 44:26some tips just. E-mail us at submissions at
- 44:28ghostcultman.com or DM me, but people send me stuff all the
- 44:33time. This is really sad.
- 44:35Two years ago I saw the final what is now the final God Flesh
- 44:39tour of America ever. Apparently, Justin K Broderick
- 44:44posted this week he'd been reluctant to post.
- 44:46Because he hates social. Media and the negativity that
- 44:48comes with it. He recently had a major
- 44:51operation he will recover from, but it needs a lot of care and
- 44:56he's not going to be touring anymore, certainly not with God
- 44:58Flesh. That doesn't mean God Flesh is
- 45:00over. He qualified in a second post
- 45:03that he's going to continue to put out music and remixes and
- 45:07archival things and remasters and other projects, maybe even a
- 45:10brand new project. But he's probably not going to
- 45:12tour. Ever again.
- 45:13And he's. Certainly not going to tour
- 45:14ricotta flesh, so that's a bummer.
- 45:18Also also this is really cool, Adam Steiner has a series of
- 45:23book author and he wrote this series of books including this
- 45:27one on Nick Cave's Songs of Love and Death.
- 45:31I love this illustration. I may be chatting with the
- 45:33author soon after I get a copy of the.
- 45:34Book to read he's also. Got a Nine Inch Nails book out?
- 45:37So I'm all about it. Let's see also also this is.
- 45:45Portrayal of Guilt has a new single out and a new album
- 45:48coming up. So you should check.
- 45:50That out, that's pretty. Rad Allen Robert of Life of
- 45:55Agony, one of my heroes on bass, has a brand new bass fuzz pedal
- 46:00his bass playing is integral to. The Life of.
- 46:03Agony Sound. He's one of their chief
- 46:04songwriters. I know they were just on tour in
- 46:07Europe and they. Put out a live version of their
- 46:10amazing cover of. Don't you?
- 46:13Forget about me from The Breakfast Club.
- 46:16Pretty, pretty bad. Ass I love it.
- 46:20Also also venom. There are three venoms now.
- 46:25What's behind door #1 Venom. What's behind door #2?
- 46:29Other Venom, What's behind door #3 Venom Inc, who just toured
- 46:32South America. Well, Venom with Kronos is back.
- 46:36And he has put his kind of long running backup guy.
- 46:40He's been many years in the making since 2018.
- 46:42New Venom single, new Venom album coming soon.
- 46:45New Venom visualizer I thought was a very AI looking thing but
- 46:49you know. It's cool.
- 46:52Oh, no way, Cat. When were you?
- 46:56Are you a New York native? Because I am a New York native.
- 46:59I lived there for most of my life so far, but I now live in
- 47:01California. And I was.
- 47:03Just a little bit late to the hardcore.
- 47:05I'm more of a was more of a metal kid and crossed over the
- 47:08rash kid and a prog nerd but I went to a bunch of foundational.
- 47:12Shows at CBG, BS and Matinees and things like that.
- 47:16Bond Street Cafe, SO BS, Wetlands, The Tunnel, Limelight,
- 47:22and then I played in metal bands and and sort of metally hardcore
- 47:25bands. I miss it sometimes but they say
- 47:29you can't go home again. This pisses me the fuck off.
- 47:33So here's things that are pissing me off this week.
- 47:36I've been talking a lot about AI and I'm not one of these.
- 47:39Boomers AI, you're going to ruin everything I.
- 47:41Have seen the Terminator movies like 100 times.
- 47:43All of them, even the bad ones, so.
- 47:47Dylan should Chaos theory. OK, is that your new name?
- 47:54So yeah. Man this pisses me the fuck off.
- 47:56A couple of like a few months back, I was talking about
- 47:58American Head Charge, right? As a band that's kind of fallen
- 48:02off the radar, you can't get their records anywhere.
- 48:04Only some of their music is on streaming.
- 48:06And Soft White Underbelly, the documentary series, did a
- 48:10feature on Cam, who was their lead singer.
- 48:13And you know, he's fucked up on drugs and living in Skid Row
- 48:16homeless. It's terrible.
- 48:18But he is hopefully can get his life back together.
- 48:20And then nice old school New York word up.
- 48:23And then I saw in the new Music Radar bullshit on Spotify today
- 48:28this song. Won't.
- 48:29Break under American Head Charge.
- 48:32This is some trap mumble rap bullshit and I was just so
- 48:35fucking incensed. And of course Spotify doesn't
- 48:38have any way to report this shit or get them to.
- 48:41Stop. So, you know, I reported it as,
- 48:44you know, mislabeled. But that's the best.
- 48:46You can do they won't take it down and nobody's looking after
- 48:48that band's interest. And this is happening.
- 48:50It happened with nothing faced a couple of months ago it was
- 48:53reversed. So fucking so fucking angry.
- 48:57I also can. I just used.
- 48:58To go to the pyramid a lot and the bank those are.
- 49:01Two of my favorite. Places ever you know who doesn't
- 49:03suck and what doesn't suck is Raymond Watts of Pig.
- 49:06Pig is back with a new single today.
- 49:09We listen to it here at the HQ and it was amazing.
- 49:13I'm all about it. Hopefully he will tour Raymond
- 49:17is life. I need to interview.
- 49:19Him. He's on the bucket list.
- 49:21I've interviewed almost everybody I ever wanted to, but
- 49:24I haven't interviewed him. It would be a thrill.
- 49:27Oh, Tool. Sorry man Yeah, Tool are hinting
- 49:29at their residency in this in 27.
- 49:32I mean, as a Tool fan, I also know that Tool fans are the
- 49:36worst. I am not the worst.
- 49:38I'm awesome. But like I do understand.
- 49:39That a lot of tool fans are horrible.
- 49:41And stupid. And Dream Theater.
- 49:43Fans laugh at Tool, fans and other fans laugh at Dream
- 49:47Theater and, you know, slam brutal death metal bands with a
- 49:51little bit of Prague in them. Laugh at everybody so I I would
- 49:56you know we'll start saving now for a tool at this fear but.
- 49:59I feel like I said this on the podcast with the fellas.
- 50:02This. Week on Glacier Musical.
- 50:04That I think Metallica has gone so overboard with the.
- 50:06Pricing for this that they have set the.
- 50:08Bar abnormally high now for every.
- 50:11Band which it just sucks. It just sucks.
- 50:13All my enjoyment out of it. Maybe I I hyped myself up.
- 50:17Nice work. Maybe I hyped myself up too
- 50:19much. Maybe I hyped myself.
- 50:22Up too much? I don't know.
- 50:28Nice work. Oh, excuse me.
- 50:34Whoa. I got a frog in my throat there.
- 50:39What else? What else?
- 50:40And so much stuff just coming at you, like left and right.
- 50:48I think this week was also the the anniversary of the first
- 50:51show ever Cliff played with Metallica.
- 50:53This is he is legend. They're putting out an
- 50:55anniversary vinyl. They've been touring a lot.
- 50:57I always felt like he is legend is right in between.
- 50:59Like they kind of want to be down and COC but they also.
- 51:03Want to be like Underoath and Thursday?
- 51:07So there's a. Strange dichotomy of musics.
- 51:09That they put out but. Great band live.
- 51:12I know their singer had some health problems a while back.
- 51:15And it seems to be cleared up now.
- 51:20What else? So so many things.
- 51:26All the things. Frozen Soul is putting out a new
- 51:29album We a Frozen Soul interview soon.
- 51:32I hope Omar is pretty tight with some of the members of the band
- 51:34having done some shows with them.
- 51:37Where they? Where they?
- 51:38Were opening for a band he was checking for so we hope to get a
- 51:43Frozen Soul interview. Some great brutal death metal
- 51:45band from Texas and then in another, this is awesome.
- 51:51You know I didn't. I did not.
- 51:53Have talking about Ke$ha on my bucket list today.
- 51:57Thank you Ke$ha. Ke$ha was made aware that a
- 52:01White House video promoting ice on TikTok had been using the
- 52:07song Tik. T.O.K and some of her other.
- 52:09Music. So, she wrote.
- 52:11Stop using my music. Perverts.
- 52:13At White House, I mean, you know, Ke$ha doesn't need
- 52:19attention. She's got gazillions of streams.
- 52:22She's she's pretty great as far as singing pop artist.
- 52:26Goes It's come to my attention that the White House has used.
- 52:29Some of my songs on TikTok to. Incite violence and threaten
- 52:32war. Trying to make light of war is
- 52:34disgusting and inhumane. I absolutely do not approve of
- 52:37my music being used to promote violence of any kind.
- 52:39Love is always. Trump's hate.
- 52:41Please stop using the word Trump for everything.
- 52:43Please love yourself and each other in times like.
- 52:45This the show of blatant disregard for human life and
- 52:48quite frankly, the attack on all our nervous.
- 52:50Systems is the opposite of what I stand for and so for that
- 52:54Ke$ha, you are an honorary metalhead.
- 52:58Castle Heights was like my second home.
- 53:00I met Omar from ghosts called at Castle Heights.
- 53:03We played a show together. We didn't know each other
- 53:05personally. We knew each other from the
- 53:07scene. I played Castle Heights many
- 53:09times. I was at the next to last ever
- 53:12Castle Heights show I saw. Mastodon Play.
- 53:14Castle Heights. Before they decided to relapse.
- 53:17I mean, I saw Hatebreed play there.
- 53:19Irate Billy club. Sandwich go to mentis all the
- 53:23old school New York hardcore and metal bands and Bronx deathcore.
- 53:27Before a swoopy haired Orange County deathcore was a thing,
- 53:29New York City had its own. Hardcore and death metal music
- 53:32called. Bronx Deathcore.
- 53:35And BDC was a great fucking time to be alive.
- 53:39And I had my thrash heavy metal band at the time too.
- 53:42Love Castle Heights played CBD BS, I played Continental, I
- 53:45played Limelight, wild shit. But Ke$ha, you are now an
- 53:49honorary metal head. Lamb of God is one week away
- 53:52from putting out their new album Into Oblivion, and I've already.
- 53:55Heard it and I want to tell you something.
- 53:56Listen, get close, besties. You're not ready for how much
- 54:00this record kicks ass. Thank you.
- 54:02That's my secret. For tonight you are not ready
- 54:05for how hard this record goes, but I will save the rest for my
- 54:09review next week in our review with Ghost Cult Monday morning.
- 54:12But Lamb of God, new single video, a lot of stuff going on
- 54:15with them. Also also I mean it's just all
- 54:20the things gate. Creeper is going on tour.
- 54:22We know they don't over tour too much because all their members
- 54:25are in different. Bands, but Gate Creeper, maybe
- 54:27they have a new record on the way.
- 54:28I know they put one sort of surprise release records from
- 54:32time to time, so I believe they have a new record coming soon.
- 54:36Probably. Probably also not a huge thing.
- 54:40Second home, I'm telling you. Second thing for me.
- 54:43Maybe you know our co-owner there, Omar Cordy.
- 54:47OJ He was the drummer in my band.
- 54:49We we played in in not rival bands, but sister bands and then
- 54:53in the same band. And then we have this.
- 54:55Website. So who knows?
- 54:56Social Distortion announced a new single and thing I know for
- 55:00a lot of punks, Social D is like a huge, huge touchstone band.
- 55:04They're not for me. I have seen them live a bunch of
- 55:07times. I.
- 55:07Appreciate Mike and the career they've had as the O GS of
- 55:11California punk, but. Not a huge band for me, but some
- 55:15of you may be stoked. I think some of you will be
- 55:18stoked. Courtney Love posted a picture
- 55:21this week of her and Kristen Oftamar, who has her memoir
- 55:25coming out soon. We know that Courtney is working
- 55:27on her memoir, new whole album and probably a tour.
- 55:30And Courtney says whole. Tour soon with Kristen.
- 55:35You know, with Melissa. Excuse me?
- 55:37And I'm so pumped because I love that line of a hole and I will
- 55:40put hole up against anybody. We have some.
- 55:42Feature stuff coming on hold soon.
- 55:44I would love to interview Courtney, you know, justice for
- 55:49Courtney and then I just love this little meme thing here if
- 55:56metal. Is the devil's music then he has
- 55:58a very good taste. So he's, yeah, definitely.
- 56:02I like this little grinning goat.
- 56:05All right, it's time. For New music Friday, let's
- 56:09listen to some new music Friday that came out today.
- 56:12Let me know if there's any records that came out today you
- 56:15particularly were hyped for to listen to.
- 56:18I will find one one something that came out today and play
- 56:22something for you. I did get flagged pretty bad.
- 56:27Oh, this is cool. So before I read through the
- 56:30whole list, this is a cool band. Grave Mass.
- 56:36I don't know if you know who they are.
- 56:37I believe they're a black metal band.
- 56:41Let's see. Let's see.
- 56:49Thanks for being patient. Grave Mass.
- 56:52All right, this is the way. Grave Mass.
- 57:03They would put out their debut album, Let's see.
- 57:15Ready. So like, OK, sort of a
- 57:35progressive. Black metal.
- 57:40I don't know if I love the counting in
- 57:56the Taurus there, but. This.
- 58:02Is the way. Oh cool, this video.
- 58:06Shot at Armstrong Metal Fest in 2025 where we are a media
- 58:11sponsor. That's pretty cool.
- 58:12Little bit of grave mass there for you and all right, let's now
- 58:16read the list. Let's read the list.
- 58:20Pretty cool, though. Pretty cool.
- 58:21Very heavy. Very, very heavy.
- 58:23Very heavy. Why so heavy?
- 58:26So angry, So heavy. Oh yeah.
- 58:31Melissa off tomorrow at the Strand, March 17.
- 58:33Did I see? Bruce when he played CBGB's in
- 58:369797 was like a very bad year for me and I didn't go to many
- 58:40shows and I just. I don't remember much of 97,
- 58:43maybe I saw Metallica. I definitely I saw Bruce on one
- 58:49of those solo tours, but I'm going to say it's the earlier
- 58:51one. Not Tattooed Millionaire, but
- 58:56the other one. But thanks for asking all right,
- 58:59new music Friday music that came out today.
- 59:01Tell me which ones you are Stoked, stoked about Axe dragger
- 59:04self-titled on ripple music for some Stoner doom.

- 59:12some Stoner doom bitter branches, which is kind of like
- 59:14a hardcore super group. Let's give the.
- 59:16Land back to the animals on Equal Vision Records.
- 59:19Black Lung for some more Stoner psychedelic rock.
- 59:22Forever beyond the magnetic eye records Boston probably my most
- 59:26excited for record today. Hidden fires burn the hottest on

- 59:51there's some demos and obviously no live stuff because the band
- 59:54has barely. Ever played live the darts?

- 1:01:29That's their record from last year.
- 1:01:30Rainbow The Temple of the King box set 75 to 76.

- 1:01:37skaldic folk music engine and fortibitter on physics format.
- 1:01:44The Set, which is the band that used to include the former
- 1:01:47member of Turnstile, Brady Ebert. self-evident Truth EP on

- 1:01:52That most anything that comes out on flat spots the shit.
- 1:01:55Temple of Void the. Crawl.

- 1:02:03Outer Battery Records, and fraid my other favorite record of
- 1:02:06today, The skies turn black on indie recordings.
- 1:02:11So that leaves us with one section in the show left, and
- 1:02:15it's usually what it is. Is the.
- 1:02:16Male. Bad, but I have a problem.
- 1:02:19I got a vinyl in the mail. I was really excited to show you
- 1:02:22all and didn't bring anything out.
- 1:02:24I used to hang out with Metallica Music music.
- 1:02:26Building. Sick you go all the way back.
- 1:02:27So I had I had gotten this record from.
- 1:02:30Bored music but not this record. I I got a different record.
- 1:02:33Sent to me so this is together. Pangea, the 10 year anniversary
- 1:02:37punk rock band. I mean, looks really cool.
- 1:02:40I have to message the label. Why I got this?
- 1:02:42No no nothing, just the wrong record.
- 1:02:44The slip has the right. Record so.
- 1:02:47Instead, since I don't have that, what I do have is because
- 1:02:52Bottom of the Hill is closing at the end of this year, or at
- 1:02:54least being sold because the original owners don't want to
- 1:02:56own it anymore. The Parkside is also going out
- 1:02:59of business, and I'm very sad about this.
- 1:03:02So San Francisco is losing two of its awesome.
- 1:03:04Venues they already lost slims. Here's a red.
- 1:03:07Bottom of the hill shirt that I got with the dark blue.
- 1:03:10Bottom of the hill, sort of the the royal blue with the dark
- 1:03:13blue. I like it like their sign, and
- 1:03:16you can look for my review coming up soon of Witchcraft
- 1:03:20from Bottom and Hell, and I hope to get back there soon.
- 1:03:22I did, kind of. Try to sneak over to the.
- 1:03:23Parkside and get a chicken sando, but that's it.
- 1:03:27I don't have my record to show you.
- 1:03:28So I have I don't have it. But you know, I appreciate you
- 1:03:33all very much. And that's that's it.
- 1:03:37Usually for the for us, that's the show.
- 1:03:40Shout out to my fiance Melissa for taking that.
- 1:03:43Photo of me again. If you're watching Maybe You
- 1:03:46Can't or Dillinger understand the reference.
- 1:03:48That that photo. That.
- 1:03:49Photo of me is making. If you do, I'll send you a free
- 1:03:52shirt. DM me, you can look you can.
- 1:03:55Stare longingly at the thumbnail later.
- 1:03:58And as we usually say at this juncture, the show thanks for.
- 1:04:01Watching us, this is a very manageable one hour and 3
- 1:04:03minutes. I really appreciate you all.
