- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to Off the Edge with me, your host,
- 0:07Speaker 1: Pam Jordan. It's been an amazing, amazing day in terms
- 0:13Speaker 1: of recognizing all this happened in the league. It's it's
- 0:17Speaker 1: a go vote day.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Uh.
- 0:19Speaker 1: You know, whoever you voted for, we'll talk about it. Uh.
- 0:22Speaker 3: You know around the league, there's a trade deadline, uh
- 0:25Speaker 3: this this past Tuesday.
- 0:27Speaker 1: By the time y'all get this episode, you'll see what
- 0:29Speaker 1: we have seen today living in a real time.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Just amazing to see players that you think will forever
- 0:36Speaker 3: be with the franchise head out elsewhere or you know,
- 0:39Speaker 3: find new homes. But that's what we'll talk about later.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Right now, I got my guy cave On tam.
- 0:45Speaker 1: It all over here. You know for a second time.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Don't forget he gonna be popping in each month of
- 0:53Speaker 3: the season just to talk about what's going on in
- 0:55Speaker 3: the league.
- 0:55Speaker 1: And there's a lot to talk.
- 0:56Speaker 3: About Saints way for sure, Way absolutely, because you know,
- 1:02Speaker 3: the trade deadline was this week.
- 1:03Speaker 1: And then of course you know there's.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Hopefully everybody voted already and feels good with whoever this
- 1:09Speaker 3: candidate that is going to be a president in the
- 1:11Speaker 3: next hours.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I'm excited, bro, I'm excited. I don't even know which,
- 1:18Speaker 2: you know, TV station to watch, but I'm watching all
- 1:20Speaker 2: of them. I'm just kind of flipping through, like like,
- 1:22Speaker 2: what do you call it red zone? Yeah, exactly, I'm
- 1:24Speaker 2: slipping through his red zone.
- 1:26Speaker 4: You flip over to.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Seeing it and you're like, huh, yeah, you know, the
- 1:30Speaker 2: framing is crazy when you're seeing that different people's perspectives.
- 1:33Speaker 4: It's interesting though.
- 1:34Speaker 3: It's there's always a bias or something at play, and
- 1:37Speaker 3: I'm just like, can I can get real TV? Like
- 1:40Speaker 3: how about somebody who just shoots facts? You know we're
- 1:44Speaker 3: not here for that, but all entertainment?
- 1:46Speaker 1: Did you vote?
- 1:47Speaker 4: I did vote?
- 1:48Speaker 2: Man, I'm I'm excited, and I'm happy that I got
- 1:51Speaker 2: to vote. You know, I'm in New Jersey now, so
- 1:54Speaker 2: I usually vote in California, So voting in New Jersey
- 1:56Speaker 2: I feel like a big thing.
- 1:57Speaker 4: But I'm happy I was able to do it.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Look, I'm still from Arizona. So I sent my mail
- 2:03Speaker 3: in last week. You know, wife, he put me on
- 2:06Speaker 3: how to check my if my vote my vote got accepted.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I just assume it always does.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Yeah, and you.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Know, so I'm voted. I'm locked in.
- 2:15Speaker 4: You know, you're a true American.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I am, and I have been since I was eighteen.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Except when I was eighteen, I had a lot of hope.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I was like, oh.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Mom, you know, like, yeah, that was before my time.
- 2:27Speaker 4: I think.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Yeah, again, I was eighteen, so you might have a
- 2:30Speaker 3: great time.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I was. I was like eight, Yeah,
- 2:34Speaker 2: I was like eight. It was good that I remember
- 2:35Speaker 2: a black president.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Come on, man, that's what I'm saying. My president's black.
- 2:39Speaker 1: My lambo was blue.
- 2:40Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, you know the rest.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Anyways, just sitting there and I was like, man, what
- 2:45Speaker 3: a time to be alive. And now I voted a
- 2:47Speaker 3: few times since then. But yeah, hopefully, you know, hopefully
- 2:51Speaker 3: our country is just better from this, you know what,
- 2:54Speaker 3: whoever gets elected, hopefully, you know, we just better as
- 2:58Speaker 3: a people somehow, some way, and we'll and we'll reconvene
- 3:01Speaker 3: in four years.
- 3:02Speaker 1: For somebody who will actually inspire me. You know, I
- 3:05Speaker 1: want to be I want to feel inspired. Like there's
- 3:07Speaker 1: hope again. Speaking of hope, man nine weeks saying how
- 3:13Speaker 1: how you feeling?
- 3:13Speaker 4: Bro physically got we got hope?
- 3:16Speaker 2: That we got hope man, you know, physically the sideline
- 3:19Speaker 2: for a minute. So now it's like it's all storm ahead.
- 3:22Speaker 2: You know, we got another full season ahead of us
- 3:25Speaker 2: to you know, go prove ourselves. Me personally, prove myself.
- 3:28Speaker 2: So I'm excited for it. It's a challenge, yeah.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Man, I mean y'all, y'all had a close one that
- 3:34Speaker 3: came down from the Commanders Giants.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I didn't think it was gonna be close, and then
- 3:38Speaker 1: it was.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Man, that's the NFL. Man, It's any given Sunday.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Any given sunday.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It hurts me being on the sideline watching, but the
- 3:45Speaker 2: boys battle, and I'm you know, obviously we're gonna get
- 3:48Speaker 2: it right.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Yeah, me too.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Except man, it's been it's been a tough road. You know,
- 3:54Speaker 2: it's been a tough road for the both of us.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Man. You know, if if you look at if you
- 3:58Speaker 3: look at before season, when you've put all the work,
- 4:01Speaker 3: you know, you're going through those days where you're like, damn,
- 4:03Speaker 3: I don't know how much more I got left to
- 4:05Speaker 3: give today, and you still got to grind it out,
- 4:07Speaker 3: Finish another workout, finish more sprints, you know, for just
- 4:11Speaker 3: to just to have the possibility to have an opportunity
- 4:13Speaker 3: on a Sunday to get it down and take advantage
- 4:15Speaker 3: of that opportunity.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Injuries suck.
- 4:19Speaker 3: I was I was, you know, hurt for half of
- 4:22Speaker 3: last year. You know, I still didn't miss a game.
- 4:25Speaker 3: I was out there peg legged, hopping around, hopping around
- 4:29Speaker 3: on one leg. Just wasn't a good look the last
- 4:31Speaker 3: seven games. And you know, so I know, I know
- 4:33Speaker 3: it's like to be injured and still have to play
- 4:35Speaker 3: through it from a physical mental standpoint, But mentally, how are.
- 4:38Speaker 4: You a man?
- 4:39Speaker 2: I'm good, you know, I think it does get kind
- 4:43Speaker 2: of tough when you start having that identity battle just
- 4:47Speaker 2: because you're so tied to the game. You're tied to,
- 4:50Speaker 2: you know, just constant improvement, and when you're not able
- 4:53Speaker 2: to do that, you know, you kind of feel powerless.
- 4:55Speaker 2: But I think finding you know, not just refining your
- 4:59Speaker 2: love with the and then you know, realizing that it's
- 5:02Speaker 2: not the outcomes, the process that you fall in love with.
- 5:05Speaker 2: So that's kind of like the best, you know, the
- 5:07Speaker 2: best thing I've got from it.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Absolutely absolutely, I'm trying to tell you when you when
- 5:13Speaker 3: you go into a season knowing that you know, last
- 5:17Speaker 3: year was probably the lowest SEC total since two thousand
- 5:19Speaker 3: and eleven, and I'm like, all right, revenge season, and
- 5:24Speaker 3: then you know, your coach, your head coach, and you know,
- 5:27Speaker 3: picks up younger players like all right, we're going to
- 5:29Speaker 3: see what the young guys got. And you're like, bro,
- 5:31Speaker 3: but i'm him. I'm established, I've proven an ear and
- 5:36Speaker 3: year out.
- 5:37Speaker 1: And then you're like, all right, well we're gonna kick
- 5:39Speaker 1: you in the middle. You're like, I'm not him there,
- 5:42Speaker 1: but I.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Do whatever for the team, big team.
- 5:44Speaker 2: You know, me, I'm him, but now that that's not me,
- 5:49Speaker 2: I'm me him me, I'm not him.
- 5:54Speaker 1: For the team.
- 5:54Speaker 3: What we'll do, bro, Hey, break break the facts, give blood,
- 5:57Speaker 3: you give a leader they asked for, you know, and
- 6:00Speaker 3: he was like, all right, we take more blood.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, nature be what have you done for me lately?
- 6:06Speaker 1: Absolutely?
- 6:07Speaker 3: So you just you just hope and wish that you
- 6:09Speaker 3: have more success with everything that you work for.
- 6:12Speaker 4: But this is the NFL.
- 6:13Speaker 3: That's the whole point of it, you know what I'm saying, Like,
- 6:15Speaker 3: just because you work your ass off or break your
- 6:18Speaker 3: body weekend week out doesn't guarantee you a win. It
- 6:22Speaker 3: doesn't guarantee you a chance to even play that Sunday man.
- 6:25Speaker 3: So you have to play every play like it's your
- 6:27Speaker 3: last and that's what it has been. I mean, for me,
- 6:30Speaker 3: we lose the Carolina bro and Carolina was it was
- 6:33Speaker 3: the worst team in the league. You you lose to
- 6:36Speaker 3: the worst team in the league.
- 6:37Speaker 1: That's what that that's what you're trying to fight off
- 6:39Speaker 1: your back now.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Man, being the worst team in the league.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Damn right, Well, you know, hey, we got him next,
- 6:48Speaker 2: We got him next. So we're gonna, uh, you know
- 6:51Speaker 2: what I'm saying, We're gonna try to hunt it down
- 6:52Speaker 2: for y'all.
- 6:53Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. We ain't. We can't take
- 6:55Speaker 4: that crown. So we're fighting back. And I think No.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Two and seven, two and seven, two and seven, and
- 7:01Speaker 3: there's eight games left. I'm not trying to fight for
- 7:03Speaker 3: last place. I'm trying to somehow, some way string together
- 7:07Speaker 3: some wins. And I keep saying you when you put
- 7:10Speaker 3: a win w in that column, that's when you start
- 7:13Speaker 3: stacking in confidence.
- 7:15Speaker 1: So either way, we lose the Carolina you.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Know, the uh, the organization departs from Dennis Allen, our head.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Coach, who's the who's the quarterback at the time?
- 7:23Speaker 3: Yeah played them, Yeah, I'll say yesterday a couple days ago.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Derek Carr you know, coming from a coming from a.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Little yeah, not yea quarterback. I'm talking about the other quarterbacks.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Oh then young okay okay.
- 7:35Speaker 1: And and he spun the ball like I you know,
- 7:37Speaker 1: I think there's potential there.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Man. We uh wish you could have some plays back,
- 7:43Speaker 4: of course.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's been that we always I think the
- 7:47Speaker 2: whole season was we've been three plays away from winning,
- 7:50Speaker 2: and it's just like, you know, find the rhythm.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, I'll say you always wanted about two to
- 7:56Speaker 3: three plays back. Yeah, three plays give it back to
- 8:01Speaker 3: be interceptions and one you know could be tuddy.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Ours been like penalties like touchdown penalty or or p
- 8:09Speaker 2: I s or you know, face masks, just like come on,
- 8:12Speaker 2: you know, shoot ourselves in the foot.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Don't do it.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Don't do it.
- 8:15Speaker 3: You get to the red zone and next thing you know,
- 8:17Speaker 3: like you know, a couple of penalties put you outside
- 8:19Speaker 3: of the red zone. You're like, yeah, I needed something
- 8:22Speaker 3: out of that, just from an energy stand standpoint. But
- 8:26Speaker 3: all right, you know again we fired we fired our
- 8:29Speaker 3: head coach Dennis Allen after damn. Yeah, so Monday, after
- 8:34Speaker 3: the game, how does that work?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Bro? We were in away game, so we got all
- 8:39Speaker 1: on the plane.
- 8:40Speaker 3: You know, boys is thick upset about losing, like as
- 8:44Speaker 3: an athlete you don't want to lose, so quiet as
- 8:47Speaker 3: can be.
- 8:48Speaker 4: You know, I can't do it. What it's quiet funeral.
- 8:55Speaker 3: It is a funeral to a seventh The Saint Saint
- 8:57Speaker 3: lost seven games since like nineteen eighty something, seven.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Games in a row.
- 9:02Speaker 3: I said, wow, well that's okay. So you know, so
- 9:07Speaker 3: it was quiet. Then Derek Carr broke us down. And
- 9:11Speaker 3: when I tell you, everybody could sort of feel a
- 9:14Speaker 3: different vibe. We came in Monday morning, got the news,
- 9:18Speaker 3: like I think I was in the middle of rehab,
- 9:21Speaker 3: and like tickers just popped.
- 9:23Speaker 4: No no, no, no, no, no, no no no.
- 9:26Speaker 3: You know, talk to you know, briefly text with Dennis Allen,
- 9:30Speaker 3: I think yesterday evening.
- 9:32Speaker 1: But you know, like after season we'll probably have like
- 9:37Speaker 1: a real, real long talk.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Dennis was it was my DC for the last eight
- 9:42Speaker 3: or nine years, one of one of my guys, and
- 9:47Speaker 3: so it sucks that we couldn't win it all because
- 9:49Speaker 3: you know, there there was a there was a three
- 9:51Speaker 3: year wind window where I was like, yeah, we win
- 9:53Speaker 3: in it this year. We win it this year, and
- 9:55Speaker 3: like proven to go deep in the playoffs type win it, so,
- 10:00Speaker 3: you know, and I felt I sort of felt that
- 10:02Speaker 3: way about this year with the locker room. We had
- 10:04Speaker 3: the talent, we had, the first win that we are,
- 10:07Speaker 3: first two wins we had, and then after that, injuries
- 10:11Speaker 3: upon injuries upon injuries upon injuries. We're we're playing with
- 10:14Speaker 3: shells of what you looked at on paper, like, yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 3: how can we lose? Now we're sitting here like, how
- 10:19Speaker 3: do we get our win?
- 10:21Speaker 4: Mm hmm.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Man.
- 10:24Speaker 3: So it's it's always it's a rude awakening sometimes when
- 10:28Speaker 3: you're part of the NFL, not for long.
- 10:30Speaker 1: It's stand is for players and coaches.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Yeah, not a fact.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Every everybody's job is up, especially when you're losing. When
- 10:39Speaker 2: you're losing, I'm talking about the margin for error is
- 10:43Speaker 2: slim right now. Respects to your coach, Man, it sounds.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Like a great dude. You know you never get that to happen.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Yeah, great DC, good guy. Two and a half years
- 10:53Speaker 1: as a head coach.
- 10:54Speaker 2: At least it's fully guaranteed. I know when they're getting hired,
- 10:57Speaker 2: is fully guaranteed or something?
- 10:59Speaker 3: See't I don't even know anything about coaches contracts. I've
- 11:03Speaker 3: never even looked looked as deep. I assume it is
- 11:05Speaker 3: because I've seen guys.
- 11:06Speaker 4: Get college coaches.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I know it's something like being a fire college coaches
- 11:10Speaker 2: or is the best job in the league. You got
- 11:12Speaker 2: to get paid the full like the full amount regardless.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I think they have like a buyout though, right,
- 11:17Speaker 3: Like you're like, oh, you could you know, it's like
- 11:18Speaker 3: the lottery. It's like they could pay you over this
- 11:21Speaker 3: like next four or five years your contract, or you
- 11:23Speaker 3: could take this one time buyout. Yeah, get this chunk
- 11:26Speaker 3: of change we'll give you as like give us a discount.
- 11:29Speaker 1: We'll get cheated with that.
- 11:30Speaker 4: So what's the team around now? You know I have
- 11:32Speaker 4: to get too deep into it.
- 11:34Speaker 1: No, No, let's do it.
- 11:35Speaker 3: I mean our special teams coach Darren Rizzy has been
- 11:39Speaker 3: part of our special teams for some years. I knew
- 11:42Speaker 3: he was up for the head coach job for the
- 11:44Speaker 3: new Lyans Saints after Sean left.
- 11:45Speaker 4: It was between him and.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Dennis Allen and somebody else that they brought in. But
- 11:49Speaker 3: he was one of the candidates. So you know, now
- 11:51Speaker 3: it's his time. He's got eight weeks to shake it up,
- 11:55Speaker 3: you know, And honestly, I know it's just the first week,
- 11:58Speaker 3: but there's a a sense of.
- 12:01Speaker 4: All right, no, like little excitement.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Okay, I'm not gonna I'm just not gonna say excitem
- 12:06Speaker 3: because again we got we got the foul cants this week.
- 12:08Speaker 4: But uh you know, we we there's it's locked in
- 12:12Speaker 4: and they've been balling too. That's gonna be a game.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Right kirk On no bangs, you know, like all right,
- 12:18Speaker 3: all right, like he's spinning that rock and he's been
- 12:21Speaker 3: spinning since spinning, you know, uh, Jon is a problem.
- 12:25Speaker 1: But either way, So the locker room though, it's like you.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Know when you when you keep getting kicked and you
- 12:30Speaker 3: finally get a breath of fresh air, that's what feels like.
- 12:33Speaker 3: You're like, you're like, yeah, all right, now, hey, all right,
- 12:36Speaker 3: I can go another round. Guys are are retooled. And
- 12:40Speaker 3: then you know it's early in the week. The line
- 12:43Speaker 3: is like, hey, bro, it's got to be on us.
- 12:45Speaker 3: You know from the young bus, right, it started starting
- 12:48Speaker 3: the trenches like no matter, no matter everybody else.
- 12:51Speaker 1: You know where the warfare is.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Yeah, We're like, yeah, it's it's on this man.
- 12:54Speaker 3: We got a World War One trench warfare. Yeah, you
- 12:58Speaker 3: went in the trenches you can everywhere else exactly exactly.
- 13:02Speaker 3: So it's like, all right, bro, whatever we give, who
- 13:04Speaker 3: hasn't been enough? You know, like, all right, have we
- 13:07Speaker 3: done with this experiment and all its time? It's time
- 13:09Speaker 3: to go get it. You know, the scheme, the scheming
- 13:12Speaker 3: of the of the defense. Are we back to hitting
- 13:13Speaker 3: people in the mouth? And this week of show us
- 13:15Speaker 3: where we're at? I like that right, Speaking of that
- 13:19Speaker 3: trade deadline today, I know you've seen some trades around
- 13:22Speaker 3: the way.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Right, I mean, man, I'm happy, honestly, I'm gonna start
- 13:26Speaker 2: off with my Boysz's he's our pass rusher. They kept
- 13:29Speaker 2: talking about how you know, you just see in the media.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Happy there are some trade inquiries or whatever. But I
- 13:34Speaker 2: think he made a lot of money for himself. Obviously
- 13:37Speaker 2: he's still with us. I'm super happy he still have him.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Trade in line is over and we didn't trade him,
- 13:41Speaker 2: So super happy about that. Happy to keep them in
- 13:44Speaker 2: our room. I think he's gonna keep doing great.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I think I think we'll have three pass rushers, maybe
- 13:50Speaker 2: even four. I'm really talking over ten sacks. If I
- 13:53Speaker 2: come back and I and I really go over ten.
- 13:56Speaker 2: I know burns and disease can get it right.
- 13:58Speaker 1: That is already there, like dexter'sting there sexyxy Dexa. Lewis
- 14:03Speaker 1: is at like nine.
- 14:05Speaker 4: Halfway through.
- 14:06Speaker 1: You know, it's like it's like Trey Henderson at like
- 14:08Speaker 1: with like eleven.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Gosh, Henderson like bag the man.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Like in Cincinnati had a chance to pay him last
- 14:14Speaker 1: year and this year and they haven't.
- 14:17Speaker 4: They haven't.
- 14:18Speaker 1: No, you're gonna have to fork over everything. Plus song.
- 14:22Speaker 2: I love how the market just harm me. It's but
- 14:27Speaker 2: Trey Henderson is a is a beast like a beast, right?
- 14:31Speaker 2: It sounds like I said, I can't even so you
- 14:34Speaker 2: talk about Brian Burns. You y'all got a formidable with
- 14:37Speaker 2: d line regardless.
- 14:38Speaker 3: But yeah, so trade trade's going around, bro, You saw
- 14:42Speaker 3: what happened, you know, Devanta Adams has been traded then
- 14:45Speaker 3: going back to you know, Aaron Rodgers.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Uh you see who else? DeAndre Hopkins es over to
- 14:50Speaker 1: the Chiefs.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, d hop to the Chiefs. Come on,
- 14:54Speaker 4: bro right right.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Which Pat Mahomes is already looking scary, like you know,
- 14:59Speaker 3: the Chief's office already scared.
- 15:00Speaker 4: I'm a big d hot fan.
- 15:01Speaker 2: You know, it's funny every time I hate talking football
- 15:04Speaker 2: now because it's like a fan side of me, and it's.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Like, that's what I'm saying.
- 15:07Speaker 2: But like d hot to the Chiefs, right press and Smith,
- 15:12Speaker 2: I look down and play man no more pressor Smith pressing.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Smith goes over to the Steelers. Come on to this,
- 15:19Speaker 1: give him more doubt?
- 15:20Speaker 4: Who did Baltimore just get? Was it? White Yep?
- 15:25Speaker 3: From the Rams? From the rounds, straight from the Rams?
- 15:28Speaker 3: Come on if he if he revitalizes, it's gonna be him.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Marlon Humphrees, Uh you got uh? Marcus Williams over there.
- 15:36Speaker 2: We play the Ravens on my birthday too. You know
- 15:37Speaker 2: we're the only NFC team to beat the Ravens. I
- 15:39Speaker 2: need that smoke one more time.
- 15:42Speaker 4: I got Now.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I gotta get the Lamar jersey too. I got to
- 15:45Speaker 2: ask Hi about that. I tried to get it when
- 15:46Speaker 2: I was a rookie. I ain't get it.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Get it you asked for But look this I code
- 15:52Speaker 4: was an accent at first. It's funny.
- 15:54Speaker 2: So the NFL they did this thing where they asked me,
- 15:56Speaker 2: you know who I want to get sacked before got
- 15:57Speaker 2: in the league, or who do I want to sack
- 15:59Speaker 2: before I got in the league?
- 16:00Speaker 4: Right, I said, Lamar.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Then we played him I got before Like during the game,
- 16:04Speaker 2: I'm like, man, Lamorrow, let me get your jersey, like
- 16:06Speaker 2: blah blah blah.
- 16:07Speaker 4: He's like, I got you. I'm like, man, you ain't
- 16:09Speaker 4: got me, but you here, I got you. Yeah, I
- 16:13Speaker 4: got got me.
- 16:14Speaker 2: So I was like, all right, bet, I'm like and
- 16:15Speaker 2: I was like, if I get if I get this
- 16:16Speaker 2: game when a sack, you got me stead He ain't
- 16:20Speaker 2: say that, and he's just locked in and I get
- 16:22Speaker 2: the game when the sack.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I can't give it to you now. In fact, that's
- 16:24Speaker 1: probably the reason why.
- 16:25Speaker 3: You can't.
- 16:28Speaker 4: That the game that sealed it.
- 16:31Speaker 2: It's over, it's just solidified. That was my first one.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Can't give that to you to he's not giving it
- 16:35Speaker 2: to me. But I'm gonna go back and try to
- 16:37Speaker 2: get it again, hopefully.
- 16:39Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. He don'ta remember now He's
- 16:41Speaker 4: gonna let.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Me get it now, right, I mean to Lamar, Man,
- 16:45Speaker 2: he's been playing like ridiculous, like you know, m VP Caliber, I.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Say, speaking speaking to it, they got they got Pressure Smith.
- 16:52Speaker 3: They also traded for Mike Williams.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Right, yeah, that's crazy, George. Mike Williams like Yeah, George
- 17:00Speaker 2: George to Homie too. That's what's funny. He's been He's
- 17:02Speaker 2: been a character, so I'm happy to see him balling.
- 17:05Speaker 2: I think Mike Williams gonna do good over there too, right.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Uh, Dallas picked up? Uh what's that Mingo? I almost
- 17:12Speaker 3: said barkievious, but I know that's not right. Jonathan Mingo
- 17:15Speaker 3: the wide receiver.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I ain't gonna speak on Dallas, speak
- 17:22Speaker 4: on Dallas.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I'm just saying that there's there's a lot of trades,
- 17:25Speaker 3: so it's just it's just different anyways.
- 17:29Speaker 2: And now it's it's really turned into like Big three type,
- 17:31Speaker 2: not Big three, but like you know, it's really turning
- 17:33Speaker 2: into like super teams.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's already been that obviously.
- 17:36Speaker 2: I think he started with the Rams when they got
- 17:38Speaker 2: Odell Aaron.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Von Miller, Aaron Donald stupid. You know, they traded for
- 17:48Speaker 1: Matt Stafford with that year or the year like what
- 17:53Speaker 1: they assembled the All Star right, and they and they
- 17:57Speaker 1: did it just is what it is. Bro.
- 18:00Speaker 3: We traded our quarterback number one, you know, the coaches
- 18:04Speaker 3: in the game since he got in CB one, Marshawn Lattimore.
- 18:09Speaker 3: That hurt, like we literally was just up top with
- 18:12Speaker 3: the with the with the new the interim new head
- 18:15Speaker 3: coach Darren Rizzy yesterday and today he's done. And he
- 18:20Speaker 3: went from two and seven to what is what is?
- 18:22Speaker 1: Washington?
- 18:23Speaker 4: Six and two seven? And man just going to good teams.
- 18:27Speaker 4: They just let this man. Just happy for him.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Man, I know as a as a OG, that hurt
- 18:33Speaker 2: obviously seeing people when I first came in, just seeing
- 18:36Speaker 2: people that like kind of took me under their wing
- 18:38Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 18:39Speaker 4: Then you see him leave, It's like, dang, it hurts.
- 18:43Speaker 4: That's the journey, man, that's the journey. It just reminds
- 18:45Speaker 4: you this, this the NFL is a business. Can't feel
- 18:50Speaker 4: bad a long as he getting paid, as long as
- 18:52Speaker 4: he still got a job. You feel bad for me.
- 18:55Speaker 4: That's quarterback, that's c B one.
- 18:58Speaker 1: You know, we got we got some young, We got
- 18:59Speaker 1: some young, so we we drafted kool Aid McKinstry. I
- 19:02Speaker 1: call him, I call him GQ.
- 19:03Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying because I'm not gonna say
- 19:06Speaker 3: his first thing because he gonna get upset about it.
- 19:08Speaker 1: But like you know, g Q.
- 19:09Speaker 3: And then there's Alante Taylor. Of course we got tired.
- 19:11Speaker 3: We're about to get our other, our safety back, you know,
- 19:14Speaker 3: Will Harris.
- 19:15Speaker 1: So we're we're good, but like you can't you can't
- 19:19Speaker 1: replace it, right, I know how that goes when you're nice.
- 19:23Speaker 1: I don't know how that goes. I'm in uncharted territory.
- 19:25Speaker 1: You know how that goes.
- 19:27Speaker 5: And I mean if you if you ain't won nothing,
- 19:30Speaker 5: we're the same boat. So, man, nothing since you in
- 19:34Speaker 5: the league. I don't even know if I've been in
- 19:35Speaker 5: the playoffs, not a not a nothing, Nathaniel, you know.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I mean, it's man, We're gonna keep going to you know,
- 19:42Speaker 2: the grind. Don't stop to till you choose to stop.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Hey, it won't stop to you stop. Come on, That's
- 19:48Speaker 1: what my boy T five Tyre Matthew will be telling it.
- 19:51Speaker 4: It don't stop until you stop.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I'm like, well, I'm never stopping. All I know is go.
- 19:55Speaker 4: You say, you say, how we get there, I don't know,
- 19:57Speaker 4: but I'm gonna gonna go fast as used to be.
- 20:00Speaker 4: But I'm gonna get there.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Man, I'm gonna give you everything, how empty to take
- 20:03Speaker 3: out every play, I'll be over there like, yeah, you
- 20:06Speaker 3: got everything out of me. But that's how I've always played.
- 20:09Speaker 3: So like, if you say that this is my last play.
- 20:12Speaker 3: I'm gonna walk off Headhill high because I ain't never
- 20:14Speaker 3: give nothing but one hundred percent. You ain't never like
- 20:17Speaker 3: there's not been one time where you can be like, man,
- 20:19Speaker 3: I should have gave more. You be like, damn, I
- 20:20Speaker 3: wish i'd have got there a little bit faster.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I couldn't give you more.
- 20:25Speaker 2: I gave you a hundred And that's what I think
- 20:27Speaker 2: for me, and you know, just being for all the
- 20:29Speaker 2: player young players out there. When you watch your tape
- 20:31Speaker 2: and even if it's not the best, it's not what
- 20:33Speaker 2: you want to be, like, that's what it gotta be
- 20:34Speaker 2: is did you give it your all because you could
- 20:36Speaker 2: live and you could get better.
- 20:37Speaker 4: You know, you can fix the tape.
- 20:39Speaker 3: You can fix the technique, the nuances, the oh. Man,
- 20:41Speaker 3: I wish I had a little bit more shoulder turn.
- 20:43Speaker 3: I wish I would have. I would have chopped fully
- 20:45Speaker 3: out there. I wish it would have you know, but
- 20:47Speaker 3: you can't teach like damn, if only I.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Had went, if only kept running, Oh, that would hurt
- 20:52Speaker 2: when I was like I did let up.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I've seen teammates.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I've seen teammates like I'm like, bro, hey, you just
- 20:58Speaker 3: kept running like had you just you were at the
- 21:00Speaker 3: top of the rush but you decided to slow down.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Quarterback pumps rolls out like that could have been you. Yeah,
- 21:07Speaker 3: you know that that makes me sick for him and
- 21:10Speaker 3: for many years. If you don't want to, I'm gonna
- 21:14Speaker 3: go ahead, take that shack lunch to go like but
- 21:16Speaker 3: you know, like there's a place size where you know
- 21:18Speaker 3: teammates that hit you with it.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Man, I was right there.
- 21:20Speaker 3: You ain't want it bad enough me. I wanted like
- 21:22Speaker 3: it's my last meal. Come on, stay tuned, We'll be
- 21:26Speaker 3: right back. We got eight games left. How do you
- 21:29Speaker 3: approach the second half.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Of the season?
- 21:32Speaker 3: Man?
- 21:32Speaker 2: With everything Like for me, the way I thought about
- 21:35Speaker 2: it is I miss uh like four games, five games.
- 21:39Speaker 2: I'm fresher than everybody else. I have no excuse, no excuse.
- 21:43Speaker 2: My knees is better, my back is better, my arms better.
- 21:47Speaker 2: I breathe better, you know what I'm saying. Like right now,
- 21:49Speaker 2: I have no excuse but to go out there and
- 21:51Speaker 2: just put on display. Obviously I'm being a little rusty
- 21:53Speaker 2: because I haven't played football and you know over a month.
- 21:56Speaker 2: But you talk about just like my effort and energy
- 22:00Speaker 2: to bring a spark. I have to, you know, just
- 22:03Speaker 2: give it everything I got. So, you know, eight games
- 22:06Speaker 2: go by, I'm gonna look at my work and see
- 22:09Speaker 2: what you know I was able to overcome you know
- 22:12Speaker 2: obviously during the season.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Right man, eight games left, and I'm like, bro, Like,
- 22:16Speaker 3: if all y'all gotta do is tell me this is
- 22:19Speaker 3: the last eight games I'll ever ever see?
- 22:21Speaker 1: What can I give?
- 22:23Speaker 3: That's my mentality, Like, I don't know if there's next
- 22:26Speaker 3: year or two years from now. Yeah, I feel like
- 22:28Speaker 3: I can play for four more years. I can play
- 22:30Speaker 3: like you know, what's Kalays Campbell?
- 22:32Speaker 1: A year eighteen?
- 22:33Speaker 4: Watch your tape? Why are you acting? You're acting like
- 22:35Speaker 4: you're old right now, I gotta go see your tape.
- 22:37Speaker 1: No, I'm acting like the man the opposite.
- 22:40Speaker 4: I'm acting.
- 22:40Speaker 3: I'm acting like I'm young enough to continue playing. But
- 22:44Speaker 3: I'm wise enough to know that the NFL, I'm closer tough.
- 22:47Speaker 3: I'm not playing fourteen more years. Hey, I'm not. I'm
- 22:52Speaker 3: not halfway through my career. But that's you know, like,
- 22:56Speaker 3: and the reality is every year, every year, more people fourteen.
- 23:00Speaker 3: This is this is fourteen, This is fourteen, This is fourteen.
- 23:05Speaker 3: All every wonted from this game? Was eight like solid ones.
- 23:07Speaker 3: I was like yo, Like I was like ya, if
- 23:10Speaker 3: I can make a pro board two, that means I'm
- 23:12Speaker 3: not a failure as a subteam.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Fourteen you're on a boat in Africa. No ya, I'm
- 23:18Speaker 4: on a pilgrimage. Yeah you all, yeah you you you
- 23:21Speaker 4: out of this world? Man, Man, hats off to you.
- 23:24Speaker 4: I love that.
- 23:25Speaker 2: I mean I hate to hear you know. It's one
- 23:27Speaker 2: of those you know, I hate to hate to hear
- 23:28Speaker 2: you go. Let it he leave because it's like you
- 23:31Speaker 2: you are, you have accomplished greatness. Yeah, And it's like, bro,
- 23:38Speaker 2: be satisfied. You know what I'm saying. I be satisfied.
- 23:41Speaker 2: It wasn't satisfied, but be you know what I'm saying,
- 23:44Speaker 2: Just just grateful, you know, because it's like even me
- 23:46Speaker 2: at the beginning of it, it look hard. You're trying
- 23:49Speaker 2: to build a legacy out. I'm like, I'm only on
- 23:52Speaker 2: three hey, right, and you know, stuff is never what
- 23:56Speaker 2: you plan on it to be. But it's like, man,
- 23:58Speaker 2: when you when you to it, like it's beautiful.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Right, That's the greatest thing ever. Is like every practice,
- 24:05Speaker 3: every game means more to me.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I see guys, I see like you know, vets that
- 24:10Speaker 1: like take off days or like the whatever it is.
- 24:12Speaker 3: And I'm like, bro, I love practice. I may, I may,
- 24:17Speaker 3: I may hate every meeting after thirty minutes. I believe
- 24:22Speaker 3: my attention span is not but it's never been. But
- 24:25Speaker 3: but the fact that I'm fourteen years here and I
- 24:27Speaker 3: still love practice. The worst day for me sometimes it's
- 24:29Speaker 3: Sunday because the former d line coach had me on
- 24:33Speaker 3: a pitch count and refuse to actually let me be
- 24:34Speaker 3: on third downs.
- 24:35Speaker 1: That's what it's.
- 24:37Speaker 3: This makes no sense, but that's but that being said,
- 24:40Speaker 3: if the worst part of my existence is two and
- 24:44Speaker 3: a half hours on Sunday, I.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Can make I can make my teammates better.
- 24:50Speaker 2: I can make you know, the coach, I said, that's
- 24:53Speaker 2: that's about the young dudes got to get. I'm I'm
- 24:55Speaker 2: cultivating right now that like, you're gonna practice more thing
- 24:57Speaker 2: you play regardless, So you gotta love the process.
- 25:00Speaker 3: God to love the practice, whether it's you you know,
- 25:02Speaker 3: three fourteen periods are getting anywhere from six to eight
- 25:06Speaker 3: reps a team period. Let's call it four four to
- 25:08Speaker 3: eight reps a team period. Let's at thirty two reps
- 25:11Speaker 3: a day three days, you know, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, you're
- 25:15Speaker 3: on ninety six naps, saying you ain't never gonna play
- 25:17Speaker 3: ninety six snaps during the game.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean you may.
- 25:21Speaker 3: I think I played at one point I played played
- 25:23Speaker 3: like yeah.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Like ninety something.
- 25:25Speaker 3: But that's what I'm saying, Like it's it ain't never,
- 25:27Speaker 3: like it's not gonna be every week occurrents. But either way,
- 25:29Speaker 3: like so you're gonna practice as much as.
- 25:30Speaker 1: You do to play in the game. You have to
- 25:32Speaker 1: give that blood on Wednesday and Thursday.
- 25:33Speaker 3: When I say blood, I don't I don't clearly mean like, hey,
- 25:36Speaker 3: let me cut, cut up and bleed out. But sometimes
- 25:38Speaker 3: you do, like as d Lineman hands like hands get cut,
- 25:41Speaker 3: there's always gonna be something you could get cleaned.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Get that that kneecap, that kneecap, uh turn burn not
- 25:47Speaker 2: on heel for eight weeks, six weeks, keep cutting, just
- 25:52Speaker 2: keep cutting. You hope a by a week comes so
- 25:54Speaker 2: it could breathe.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Man, you hit that, you say after the game, you
- 25:57Speaker 3: hit that shower, you find out where you got cut
- 25:59Speaker 3: at the first that for showers are awakening you, Oh,
- 26:04Speaker 3: I didn't know that was there?
- 26:05Speaker 4: Hey, man, is a water hot or is that me?
- 26:07Speaker 1: That was me?
- 26:10Speaker 3: You you hit the I hate like when you had
- 26:12Speaker 3: like the little blood the little blood blister and the
- 26:15Speaker 3: little blood blister on the nail or something like.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Man, that's that's the ones.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Yeah, battle scars Man, Battle scars man.
- 26:23Speaker 3: I hate speak just just speaking about, you know, the
- 26:25Speaker 3: second half of the season and the mentality of getting there.
- 26:29Speaker 3: I want to I want to backpedal just a little
- 26:31Speaker 3: bit because I know you saw the Anthony was it
- 26:33Speaker 3: Anthony Richardson over Indianapolis?
- 26:36Speaker 4: That's your that's your era, that's your generation.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Uh.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I got tired, so I tapped out. I called the
- 26:42Speaker 1: twenty twenty syndrome.
- 26:43Speaker 4: I said, oh, that's n I l that's all that is.
- 26:46Speaker 4: I'm gonna tell you a small story.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Man. We're playing Dallas and this was my rookie year.
- 26:52Speaker 2: I'm in the game and they're brunning, hurry up, and
- 26:58Speaker 2: a lineman look back and he asked me what she
- 27:00Speaker 2: do and I had no clue. I mean, I don't
- 27:02Speaker 2: do that. I don't tell people what to do in
- 27:04Speaker 2: the field. I played the end like, don't ask me
- 27:06Speaker 2: what I know what's going on. But like if you
- 27:08Speaker 2: don't know your job. I don't know your job, feel me.
- 27:11Speaker 2: And when he asked me, I'm like, oh, he don't
- 27:15Speaker 2: know his job. And they about to run a play
- 27:17Speaker 2: and they about to score on us, So I called
- 27:19Speaker 2: a time out. Just let that breathe.
- 27:23Speaker 4: You see what I'm saying. That's not what I'm saying.
- 27:26Speaker 3: The fact that that was a smart that was a
- 27:28Speaker 3: smart decision. But when he could be in the part
- 27:31Speaker 3: to mess you all up, so you were like.
- 27:34Speaker 4: When you're young, you don't know that you don't have
- 27:37Speaker 4: that power. You feel me. I didn't realize that.
- 27:41Speaker 2: What do I look like calling the time out in
- 27:43Speaker 2: an NFL game on Sunday or Thursday night foot You
- 27:46Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, Thursday night football?
- 27:48Speaker 4: What am I calling the time? I don't have that power?
- 27:50Speaker 1: Oh you did that in the league. I thought you
- 27:52Speaker 1: were talking about college.
- 27:53Speaker 4: No, this was Thursday night football against the Cowboys. That
- 27:56Speaker 4: is what I'm telling you.
- 27:57Speaker 2: This is this is something that's like I had no
- 28:00Speaker 2: clue what I just did, and I'm thinking I did
- 28:01Speaker 2: something smart. Feel me, because the next play we gotta
- 28:04Speaker 2: to jump off sides. We did some good stuff. It
- 28:06Speaker 2: was good, but it was like in the moment I
- 28:08Speaker 2: was like, everybody was looking at me, like you you
- 28:11Speaker 2: just did that.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I'm like, uh, yeah, that was me. You know.
- 28:17Speaker 2: But with him, you know, in that situation with Athony Richardson,
- 28:20Speaker 2: it's like, you can't do that. I can't do that
- 28:23Speaker 2: as the quarterback. You can't do that.
- 28:25Speaker 3: The leader, the leader of the team, the face of
- 28:27Speaker 3: the franchise. The number was he number two or number
- 28:30Speaker 3: three overall?
- 28:30Speaker 1: Pick?
- 28:30Speaker 2: And like, I'm mad at him. I'm really mad that
- 28:35Speaker 2: he said it. I'm mad that he wasn't smart enough
- 28:40Speaker 2: to not say it.
- 28:42Speaker 3: NFL. Let's be clear, sixty percent of this is reactive
- 28:48Speaker 3: and about and the other thirty percent it might just
- 28:50Speaker 3: be like perception.
- 28:51Speaker 4: He could have said anything anything.
- 28:53Speaker 1: I cracked.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Hey, I cramped in my rib after they hit me,
- 28:58Speaker 3: and I didn't know how bad it was gonna get.
- 29:00Speaker 1: I'm a quarterback. When I threw the ball, my shoulder.
- 29:03Speaker 4: Slide, my finger came knocked out of place real quick.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Anything but that. But you know, at least he was truthful.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Look at you, you you kids born in the in
- 29:15Speaker 3: the the second half of the nineties, early two thousands,
- 29:20Speaker 3: the sensitive era, y'all different.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Now, I was that was crazy. That was like that
- 29:25Speaker 4: was like that was like.
- 29:29Speaker 2: He should he should he should have gotten told for that.
- 29:30Speaker 2: His PR people should have told him, like I.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Mean, obviously, yeah, they came out.
- 29:35Speaker 3: They came out and said he was bitched Joe flackop
- 29:37Speaker 3: going forward. I said, oh, I mean, but I mean
- 29:41Speaker 3: he could get another chance again. Think about it, you know, right,
- 29:45Speaker 3: Bryce Young, Brice Young got bnched earlier this season, and
- 29:49Speaker 3: then Andy Dalton took over, and then some unfortunate events
- 29:53Speaker 3: happened with Andy.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I'm glad that him and his family. All right, they
- 29:55Speaker 1: got like a car accidental. I don't know how big
- 29:57Speaker 1: or what little. I had to text my guy. I
- 29:59Speaker 1: was like, hey, bro, you good.
- 30:00Speaker 3: You know, family good. All I care about is like
- 30:02Speaker 3: physical health. Give me beck Yeah, Bro, appreciate you tapping in.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Yeah, We're all good. And then Bryce Young started this
- 30:08Speaker 1: game so and he won. So I'm sure you know,
- 30:11Speaker 1: they's probably gonna keep that momentum man, he looked decent.
- 30:14Speaker 4: So no, they're not gonna keep that. They're not keeping that. Man.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Brian Burns about to play revenge game. Brian Burns Revenge game.
- 30:24Speaker 2: That is that is Brian Burns Lawrence.
- 30:27Speaker 1: I've never said these last name out loud again, O jelay. Okay, yeah, I'm.
- 30:34Speaker 3: Not sure how I would I would have ever put
- 30:36Speaker 3: that out there, but I'm glad it's phonetically correcting like
- 30:38Speaker 3: it is.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, I seen it on the jersey.
- 30:41Speaker 4: I was like, yeah, I love that guy. He plays hard.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Okay, no doubt, no doubt. Well, let's let's see up
- 30:51Speaker 3: the segment. Offside or off side?
- 30:53Speaker 1: You know when we when we think about, uh, this
- 30:58Speaker 1: next segment, we're just going to.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Say, you know, everything that you're you're with, you know
- 31:03Speaker 3: is on side, and everything that you're against his off sides.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 31:07Speaker 4: You ready, Yeah, let's do it. That's easy.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Sakuon Barkley backwards hurdle was the play of the year.
- 31:13Speaker 4: On side are off side? That's all sides. I can't
- 31:16Speaker 4: think of. I can't think of another one.
- 31:18Speaker 2: I mean, man, and when I was younger and I
- 31:20Speaker 2: saw Sakuan do something like that, I wouldn't have known
- 31:22Speaker 2: what I thought. But now that I know him and
- 31:23Speaker 2: I've been on the team with him, he wouldn't have
- 31:26Speaker 2: done that to me.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I would I would have said onside. I would have
- 31:30Speaker 3: said onside had it been for a touchdown. I'm gonna
- 31:33Speaker 3: say off side, bro, because it wasn't for a touchdown.
- 31:36Speaker 3: I'm now going to insert Garrett Wilson's one handed catch
- 31:40Speaker 3: in the.
- 31:40Speaker 2: End zone show me, because Garrett is my dog too,
- 31:43Speaker 2: and out of respect. You know, that was a great play,
- 31:46Speaker 2: But that's what I'm saying for play of the year.
- 31:48Speaker 3: I just like that was spectacular, But it would have
- 31:51Speaker 3: been more spectacular had it been a fall into the
- 31:53Speaker 3: end zone.
- 31:54Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, Bro, jumping over somebody backwards? Backwards?
- 31:57Speaker 3: You saw you saw Nike hit the witness, But look
- 32:00Speaker 3: at it. Look look at Garret Wilson. Bro, like the
- 32:03Speaker 3: get off me with the snag.
- 32:05Speaker 4: EM's see, I could kind of do that. That's why
- 32:07Speaker 4: that don't seem that great to me.
- 32:09Speaker 1: That's that's what I'm saying. That was crazy.
- 32:14Speaker 4: Wow.
- 32:14Speaker 2: That's so that's the first two times that's ever happened.
- 32:17Speaker 2: In fact, that it happened back to back. It's crazy, crazy, crazy,
- 32:20Speaker 2: all right.
- 32:21Speaker 4: I'll Wilson that that was an immaculine catch.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Its special, all right? Now, on side, off sides, can
- 32:28Speaker 1: Anthony Richardson redeem himself an indie?
- 32:30Speaker 4: Yeah? Absolutely?
- 32:33Speaker 1: On side?
- 32:33Speaker 3: Yes, he gets another chance. In fact, it might light
- 32:37Speaker 3: a fire under him. He's twenty one after playing two
- 32:39Speaker 3: years in league. But he's twenty two tops, But is
- 32:42Speaker 3: this year three he's your drift class.
- 32:44Speaker 4: No, he's after me.
- 32:45Speaker 3: Okay, so this is year two. Absolutely give him the shot.
- 32:49Speaker 3: After a couple of games, he learns his lesson, he
- 32:52Speaker 3: cleans up some things. And that being said, is there
- 32:54Speaker 3: a QB developmental problem in the NFL? Like all these
- 32:56Speaker 3: young quarterbacks getting benched? Is the quarterback to or is
- 33:00Speaker 3: it the organization for not knowing how to? You know?
- 33:04Speaker 1: Do the Aaron Rodgers, Jordan Love.
- 33:07Speaker 4: I am just I die. I live and down the
- 33:10Speaker 4: hill of coaching. You got a good coach, you could
- 33:13Speaker 4: be a great player.
- 33:14Speaker 2: You don't got a good coach, you're not going to
- 33:15Speaker 2: maximize your potential, right Obviously it's all on the player.
- 33:19Speaker 4: Where Dolls were professionals.
- 33:20Speaker 2: But you're sitting all day with somebody teaching you or
- 33:24Speaker 2: guiding you, and if they're not guiding you in the
- 33:26Speaker 2: right way, you're not going to get better.
- 33:28Speaker 3: That's just the reality to me, Like I always said,
- 33:31Speaker 3: like players overcome. And then I had a d line
- 33:35Speaker 3: coach one time that I was looking at I said, bro.
- 33:39Speaker 1: No, this is coaching.
- 33:41Speaker 3: And I was like, it's sort of split. Like if
- 33:43Speaker 3: you have a vet locker room that can overcome coaching. Sure,
- 33:46Speaker 3: but if you got a young group and like, you
- 33:48Speaker 3: need coaching to be the leadership you need.
- 33:51Speaker 2: The tough part too is sometimes you know, and I
- 33:54Speaker 2: get it as the player, you have to take the
- 33:56Speaker 2: heat because you're out there putting the product out there.
- 33:59Speaker 4: So I get it. But it's like, we need good coaches.
- 34:03Speaker 4: That's it.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Coach coach his coach, and they can never play on Sunday.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Players play, so they need to be coached so they
- 34:10Speaker 3: play the right way.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Yeah, you just need good coaches, and that's to make
- 34:14Speaker 2: a to make a better game, you need better coaches
- 34:18Speaker 2: and equal better players.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Right, So I mean does that also go But does
- 34:23Speaker 3: does the quarterback situation always already go to like the
- 34:27Speaker 3: limitations of combine performance versus on field performance. You'd be like,
- 34:30Speaker 3: you know, the quarterback have seven or eight starts or whatever,
- 34:34Speaker 3: let's call it, fifteen starts in a career in college,
- 34:37Speaker 3: and all of a sudden they're projected top five. You know,
- 34:41Speaker 3: sometimes sometimes they'll be like, oh man, he can make
- 34:43Speaker 3: all the throws, but it never really equated to all
- 34:45Speaker 3: the wins in college, but he gets drafted top five.
- 34:48Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, I mean playing quarterback is so volatile to
- 34:53Speaker 4: me where it's like, you know.
- 34:55Speaker 1: You can find a seven round Tom Brady, Yeah you could.
- 34:58Speaker 2: You know, guys are rock amazing. I don't know people developed,
- 35:02Speaker 2: some people develop, some people are instant. I really don't
- 35:04Speaker 2: know how the quarterback stuff shakes out, to be honest.
- 35:06Speaker 2: I'm like, I play defense. I know I can see
- 35:10Speaker 2: a guy if he's athletic and he got coordination. If
- 35:12Speaker 2: you could dance, you could play football. If you can't dance.
- 35:14Speaker 1: I mean you see that.
- 35:15Speaker 3: You see that the d lion spot too. Though every
- 35:17Speaker 3: year you see like a guy you're like, I never
- 35:19Speaker 3: really heard of him. He's all right, and then he
- 35:21Speaker 3: at the combine he runs a four or five or
- 35:23Speaker 3: four to four and he you know.
- 35:25Speaker 2: He's looks like it's just athleticism. Yeah, I want to
- 35:27Speaker 2: see him run, hit and tackle.
- 35:29Speaker 3: Right, But you look on his film and you're like, well,
- 35:32Speaker 3: there's much to be desired, but you're trying to at
- 35:33Speaker 3: that combine, he like, all of a sudden, he's a
- 35:35Speaker 3: projected first rounder. Yeah, and you're like, where do we
- 35:39Speaker 3: get this projection from what did he do to? Yeah,
- 35:43Speaker 3: let me show me the plays, you know, like you
- 35:45Speaker 3: but you're gonna get that. Every the combine, I.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Feel like is the best and worst thing ever.
- 35:49Speaker 2: You know, Like, you know, they're not a lot of
- 35:51Speaker 2: guys who've actually played. That's that's the tough part. And
- 35:55Speaker 2: I guess you know it does matter to study the game,
- 35:58Speaker 2: but you know when you play, you know the difference.
- 35:59Speaker 2: You know, it looks like the scout departments. Yeah, the
- 36:02Speaker 2: skying department has to have more former players and like
- 36:05Speaker 2: former professional players.
- 36:07Speaker 4: Not like there we go.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I'll say I was waiting on that, but it's on us.
- 36:09Speaker 2: It's on us too because obviously, like professional players want
- 36:14Speaker 2: to do that job, right. I mean the same thing
- 36:17Speaker 2: as politics. Everybody want to criticize politics, but nobody want
- 36:20Speaker 2: to work in politics.
- 36:20Speaker 3: It's like we'll be back in a minute, headstand, touchdown, selly,
- 36:25Speaker 3: Where did this come from?
- 36:27Speaker 4: It started off with Chris Brown. I've been hitting that.
- 36:31Speaker 4: That was my move back when I was.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Talking about you talking about something yard joint where.
- 36:34Speaker 4: Yeah, that's been my movie slide slid.
- 36:37Speaker 1: But it was on the fore arm.
- 36:39Speaker 3: But that's I've seen them I'm on Ross Saint Brown
- 36:43Speaker 3: and and uh Drake London hit a headstand and then
- 36:48Speaker 3: just it's like a plank, a vertical.
- 36:51Speaker 4: It's like a plane and you roll down right on
- 36:55Speaker 4: side off sides? Are you with it? That's pretty dope.
- 36:57Speaker 4: If I could do it, I do it. I'll probably
- 37:00Speaker 4: do in next game.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Yeah, literally, literally somehow you know, just just went for
- 37:04Speaker 1: a handstand and then just went for the plank on
- 37:06Speaker 1: the head so he was there for half a second before.
- 37:09Speaker 4: The head spin without the spin.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Have to spind all right, let's two let's too uh
- 37:16Speaker 3: on size or on size or off sides?
- 37:20Speaker 1: Contract clauses that.
- 37:21Speaker 4: Prohibit golfing contracts, I mean sides. I threw my back
- 37:26Speaker 4: out golfing one time.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I'm on side with it as well. If you have
- 37:30Speaker 1: the face of my franchise, I'm sorry. There's some things
- 37:33Speaker 1: you can't do.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Ben Roethlisberger, I think went back in the day when
- 37:36Speaker 3: he he like tipped his motorcycle or something like that.
- 37:39Speaker 3: Quarterbacks are no longer be on motorcycles.
- 37:42Speaker 2: I've seen no longer do handyman work. I'll be around
- 37:45Speaker 2: the house doing handyman work. About the mess my back up?
- 37:48Speaker 3: Hey, when you get that contract contract clause put in there.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Let me know because I need I need some more firepower.
- 37:54Speaker 3: And I look, but I tell everybody I'm like around
- 37:56Speaker 3: my house, I'm not. I'm not cleaning much now nothing. Yeah, Nathaniel,
- 38:02Speaker 3: these hands broken.
- 38:03Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I'm like, I'm like, I'm
- 38:04Speaker 1: here to pay hands on people.
- 38:05Speaker 4: Not that's people in money. That's it.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Other than that, if you got somebody for I'm willing
- 38:10Speaker 1: to put my hands.
- 38:11Speaker 4: I appreciate your brother. Let me count that how much
- 38:12Speaker 4: you said this was?
- 38:14Speaker 1: Ohh in fact that we're gonna we're gonna finish that one.
- 38:17Speaker 1: At this point of the season, I'm gonna turn because
- 38:18Speaker 1: I want to. I want to finish this up.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Go to the quick here the predictions of course, uh
- 38:23Speaker 3: the last eight weeks. I want to know what you
- 38:26Speaker 3: think about m v P currently, Who's used your MVP
- 38:29Speaker 3: right now?
- 38:30Speaker 4: My MVP right now, it's probably Lamar Jackson, Jared Goff.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Okay, okay, go to a quarterback. In my mind, m
- 38:40Speaker 3: VP is just a quarterback or every now and again
- 38:42Speaker 3: wide receiver.
- 38:43Speaker 4: Or or yeah, I mean Dexter Lawrence.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Like bresident double team, seventy players got nine nine sacks, Yeah, guard,
- 38:53Speaker 2: I mean yeah.
- 38:54Speaker 1: To add true nose all right, op y or yeah
- 38:57Speaker 1: O p O y offensive?
- 38:59Speaker 4: What who's leading right now? Wide receivers like Justin Jefferson.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Jeff Jefferson like car, it's it's uh is it Jamar Chase?
- 39:10Speaker 2: No, it's Justin Jefferson's Chase. Is it's Justin Jefferson for sure?
- 39:16Speaker 2: Minnesota Vikings mm hmm. If you say so, I'm I'm
- 39:20Speaker 2: gonna go with either him or I'm gonna go with
- 39:22Speaker 2: a what was it, Dereck Carry? Yeah, probably there.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Henry is already ran for the band. You he already
- 39:30Speaker 4: got one thousand and a week nine, Come on, bro
- 39:32Speaker 4: a thousand.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Who's second squad? Most likely?
- 39:37Speaker 4: Yeah? Take that because it may be somebody from the
- 39:40Speaker 4: the Trey Lions.
- 39:40Speaker 3: Okay, Justin Jefferson's number one, Jamar Chase number two? Yea,
- 39:44Speaker 3: Look look I wasn't. There's a sixty yard different difference,
- 39:47Speaker 3: seventy yard difference, okay, uh D D P O Y
- 39:51Speaker 3: I know, yeah, I'm going.
- 39:53Speaker 1: To I'm going to Trey Hendrickson. They don't talk about
- 39:56Speaker 1: my dog enough. It just go crazy big d O
- 40:00Speaker 1: G Like yeah that that he's just stupid.
- 40:04Speaker 2: I will say Xavier McKinney too. I think he had
- 40:07Speaker 2: like six picks first five weeks. They slept on a
- 40:09Speaker 2: little bit.
- 40:11Speaker 4: Former.
- 40:11Speaker 3: If we're gonna yeah, we're gonna go there. We have
- 40:13Speaker 3: to throw a Kirby Joseph. He got like six picks
- 40:15Speaker 3: to right now. Yeah, dang, what's up?
- 40:20Speaker 1: Yeah? Indeed all right. Officer Rookie of the.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Year, Offensive Rookie of the Year, the league neighbors. I
- 40:28Speaker 2: was going to say your guy, I'm gonna go with neighbors.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Neighbors is cold.
- 40:31Speaker 1: I'm not going to argue on that one.
- 40:34Speaker 4: Neighbors is cold. That's he's just cold.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Defensive Rookie of the Year.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Defensive Brian Branch shown the rookie right now.
- 40:45Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 40:46Speaker 4: Is he rookie?
- 40:47Speaker 2: He's pretty nice. I don't know if you're rocket. I
- 40:50Speaker 2: think he is second year. I'm not sure if he's
- 40:51Speaker 2: a rookie. But Brian Branton is cold.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Oh, Officer Rookie Year. I'm clearly gonna go Jade Daniels.
- 40:58Speaker 4: By the way, Oh yeah Daniels.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Yeah, you have Lenae neighbors, but I'm gonna go j Daniels.
- 41:04Speaker 4: Yeah, respect to respect you know, I can't be mad
- 41:09Speaker 4: at that. Right, defensive defensive rook of the Year. I
- 41:13Speaker 4: think there's name a couple of guys. Name a couple
- 41:16Speaker 4: of guys, because that's what I'm saying.
- 41:18Speaker 3: Like, as anyone stood out to her, I was like, oh,
- 41:20Speaker 3: it has to be him, Like how we just deal
- 41:22Speaker 3: with offensive.
- 41:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna leave that open because I just don't feel
- 41:24Speaker 1: like like what I think they're all.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Let's go to the next topic.
- 41:31Speaker 1: I told you, look all right.
- 41:34Speaker 3: From there, like, let's just uh, yeah, we can finish
- 41:37Speaker 3: that off and just talk about you know, the uh,
- 41:40Speaker 3: the NFL Votes campaign that you were part of, because
- 41:42Speaker 3: we already actually we already asked if you voted new
- 41:44Speaker 3: NFL votes.
- 41:45Speaker 2: I know you're getting tired of seeing me on that commercial.
- 41:49Speaker 2: I know I'll be getting tired of seeing it. But listen, man,
- 41:52Speaker 2: it was you know obviously, uh, being a true American. Uh,
- 41:56Speaker 2: it's a blessing. You know when you look at all
- 41:58Speaker 2: things you know, we as people have over come, and
- 42:00Speaker 2: look at all the things that you know, people before
- 42:03Speaker 2: us have fought for and the things that they've put
- 42:05Speaker 2: on the line for us to be able to vote.
- 42:09Speaker 2: I mean, it's a blessing to be here today. To
- 42:11Speaker 2: be honest, my blood line specifically, like I'm from Nigeria,
- 42:13Speaker 2: I got British blood in me. Like you talk about
- 42:15Speaker 2: what my family possibly went through, I'm from Louisiana. Like
- 42:18Speaker 2: it's amazing to see, you know, how far we came,
- 42:21Speaker 2: how far this country has came. So you know, the
- 42:24Speaker 2: only way for you to show your respect is to vote,
- 42:28Speaker 2: right to to use your voice, so you know, big
- 42:30Speaker 2: that big shout out to the NFL, you know and
- 42:32Speaker 2: doing their partner standing up and voting and standing up
- 42:34Speaker 2: for the people.
- 42:35Speaker 4: And yeah, man, I was happy to be a part
- 42:38Speaker 4: of it.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I'd like to say, you know, just just echoing
- 42:42Speaker 3: that sentiment, like I found pride in voting when I
- 42:45Speaker 3: was younger and now and I was like, I gotta,
- 42:47Speaker 3: I gotta vote for this president, this president, this president.
- 42:50Speaker 3: And just like you know when you're a kid, when
- 42:52Speaker 3: you hear voting, you just hear presidential elections. Man, I'm
- 42:55Speaker 3: more like, who's a judge that's gonna be gonna be? Yeah,
- 42:59Speaker 3: Who's who's a senator that I need to get right with?
- 43:01Speaker 3: Because as much as we vote for president, the House
- 43:06Speaker 3: or represents and represent the government and the Senate, Like
- 43:09Speaker 3: that's the it's the the powers that be.
- 43:12Speaker 2: Like people don't realize how tribal, Like, yes, this is
- 43:15Speaker 2: a the United States of America, but like there were
- 43:18Speaker 2: individual tribes that make up you know, a certain part
- 43:22Speaker 2: of land. And it's like you have to buy in
- 43:24Speaker 2: if you're going to live here and you're gonna make money.
- 43:26Speaker 2: And this is why everybody always talks about the only
- 43:28Speaker 2: thing I'll ever say about politics is like this whole choice,
- 43:31Speaker 2: Like we all have a choice in life, man, and
- 43:33Speaker 2: you have a choice to be a part and when
- 43:36Speaker 2: you choose to be a part of it, which we
- 43:37Speaker 2: all have basically chosen to be a part of it,
- 43:40Speaker 2: It's like, let's collectively give all of our ideas so
- 43:43Speaker 2: that we're all represented, so that we can all come
- 43:46Speaker 2: to you know, like don't don't sit back. You know,
- 43:48Speaker 2: if you're watching somebody do wrong, you're doing just as
- 43:51Speaker 2: much wrong.
- 43:52Speaker 4: You know.
- 43:53Speaker 3: But then yeah, don't be a backseat driver. Don't don't

- 44:12Speaker 2: in a you know, empathetic manner.
- 44:14Speaker 3: Right, and I'd like to say, like, don't tell me
- 44:16Speaker 3: why your president is better, your your presidential elect elect

- 44:42Speaker 3: give me with this policy and then now that now
- 44:46Speaker 3: people hit you with it, I read somewhere, because that
- 44:51Speaker 3: would work. That would work in a paper if you say, hey,
- 44:53Speaker 3: I read somewhere instead of quoting the citation, you'd be like,
- 44:57Speaker 3: oh I read somewhere that yeah, okay, all right anyway, hey,
