Swords into Plowshares: Empty Worship, Real Justice, and a Coming Peace | Isaiah 1–3
Episode Overview
What does God actually want from His people? In this episode we begin Isaiah with chapters 1 through 3. God brings a courtroom case against His people: their sacrifices and rituals are empty because their hands are full of injustice. True worship, He insists, means seeking justice and defending the oppressed.
Isaiah 2 lifts our eyes to a future when God's house is exalted, nations stream to it, and swords are beaten into plowshares. Yet that hope is paired with present judgment on pride and idolatry. God's justice is never arbitrary—it answers real injustice.
