- 0:01I'll tell you who you want to make happy.
- 0:05You want to make your recruiters happy?
- 0:08I think I think this is an angle on this topic and angle on this
- 0:13perspective and angle on this tip that has not been heard
- 0:16quite like this. The happiest people that I want
- 0:22inside my organization. And let me Define happy.
- 0:29The employees are happy with the structure of their role.
- 0:35Bandwidth, pure output. They don't feel overwhelmed.
- 0:43But they don't feel o underwhelmed.
- 0:46The utilization is that a great point?
- 0:50They feel it. Feel it.
- 0:51They have autonomy support. They feel connected to the
- 0:57organization, they speak very confidently about the
- 1:01organization, I want my recruiters to to feel that and
- 1:06if Mike recruiters can feel that that they can hire better.
- 1:11And if we can hire better than we can retain better.
- 1:14If we can retain better that, we can engage better.
- 1:16If we can engage better, we can be more productive together.
- 1:19If we can be more productive together and everyone's
- 1:21utilization is in the right spot and teams are aligned.
- 1:26That we can build a better company.
- 1:27A bigger company objectively. So, where am I going with this?
- 1:37I believe. Because I used to be a fan of
- 1:41partnership team sales teams. I've often said, the head of
- 1:45people is the most important role inside the company to date.
- 1:52and I'm not going to sit here and say, I'm going to change my
- 1:54answer, but I'm definitely starting to understand that if
- 1:57you can give you as an organization can give Recruiters
- 2:02the tool. To predict and understand
- 2:06Behavior. The tool to hire efficiently.
- 2:13A tool to support, you know, something that a lot of people
- 2:19don't understand when I'm trying to speak about things in the
- 2:23almost in sight World, seeing things in the Beyond brand World
- 2:27things in many different worlds, right?
- 2:31You know what people seem to not understand is that When you have
- 2:36Recruiters in your organization that feel like the company is
- 2:39doing a very thoughtful and strategic job of reducing the
- 2:44burden on them. You can actually have a
- 2:47high-performing company. Think about that, think about,
- 2:52if you have a company, when you keep putting your recruiters
- 2:55through the ring through the wringer, you just keep turning.
- 3:00Folks over. Just keep having attrition, you
- 3:02just keep having this a lot me. You just keep having problems
- 3:04and the recruiters are constantly just having to
- 3:07message out to the world of what's going on and bringing
- 3:10people in their, in their turning into robots.
- 3:18And they're not allowing themselves to be strategic.
- 3:22So how do you make those folks? Happy couple things number one.
- 3:28Small companies, medium-sized companies, big companies.
- 3:30Let's start creating. Let's start institutionalizing.
- 3:34Let's start operationalizing. Let's start making any policy.
- 3:37Let's start making it a habit to to determine what a real budget.
- 3:43Looks like proactively for the recruiting teams for the head of
- 3:49talent. Let's give that individual some
- 3:52budget and employer branding, let's give that individual some
- 3:55budget and human capability work.
- 3:57Let's give that individual some budget first. 444.
- 4:03Internal comms work for D and I work at a real level.
- 4:06Let's give this a, let's give this individual some budget to
- 4:09really make some change. to bringing the biggest and the
- 4:13best in the newest and the freshest in the most impactful
- 4:15tools tools that can predict Behavior Tools that can share to
- 4:21the or to the world, the type of organization you are.
- 4:25That can be that can recruit in that can attract Talent.
- 4:31Doesn't that sound fun? Doesn't that sound neat?
- 4:37Doesn't that sound awesome? I think it does.
- 4:42I think it's interesting that you know, an organization can
- 4:47spend dollars, can support the recruiters to invest in a top
- 4:51employer. invest in a almost invest in a behind brand invest
- 5:00in invest in a base camp like if you give your recruiters to
- 5:05tools from the 80s, has to the employer branding initiatives,
- 5:09to the tools, that can measure things if you, if you put them
- 5:12in the position to confidently and comfortably recruit and
- 5:17bring in the best talent and do so in a thoughtful manner, while
- 5:20having the talent to a couple to having having the tools, Their
- 5:25behavior the tools couple, their their Clarity, the tools couple
- 5:29couple, their strategic nuance and skill.
- 5:32And point of view, you'll have a huge company.
- 5:36So, just a few thoughts, I want to share because I'm excited
- 5:40about all the work that I'm doing.
- 5:43Whether it's top employers, whether it's whether it's all
- 5:47the projects that I've had with the you won't be too Collective
- 5:50over my career and how it's how it's developed me everything
- 5:53that I'm doing. All the companies that I'm a
- 5:57part of all the companies that I'm associated with all the
- 5:59companies in the brands that I support than that.
- 6:01I love, it's all. It's all it really all boils
- 6:06down to two core things. The employees end up getting put
- 6:10first Whether you're whether you're an applicant or whether
- 6:15you're an employee, you end up being in the driver's seat.
- 6:18You end up benefiting the most and guess who also benefits
- 6:23almost as much the business. The business.
- 6:31It makes more money. It grows.
- 6:36And don't say for granted, it just feels better.
- 6:42It literally just feels better working at a company like that,
- 6:47like at a human being level. Let's not forget it.
- 6:50And now I'm ranting and I'll wrap up but let's not forget.
- 6:54That we're on this Earth to love to have families, to, to laugh
- 7:01to appreciate nature, like, like we want to live quite literally,
- 7:05we don't want to have heart attacks, we don't want to
- 7:08suffer. So so why wouldn't we spend
- 7:12time, resources, and energy to give recruiters what they need,
- 7:16so that we can have people in our organizations that are
- 7:18aligned, that are happy that are Pleasant because their work is
- 7:22aligned with what they want to do.
- 7:24And how they work and their behaviors.
- 7:27And who they are today. The last thing I'll say is this
- 7:32the reason why you consistently own going to need a top
- 7:35employers consistently ongoing needed.
- 7:37All Miss Insight consistently ongoing need not die virtual
- 7:41consistently ongoing needs unneeded mind stand all going
- 7:45Nita you know whatever right and higher aspiration like like the
- 7:51reason why you own going you need these things.
- 7:53It's because those things will actually make human beings
- 7:56happier. Quite literally more productive.
- 8:02More pleasant to be around, and to work with, and to love, and
- 8:06to support. Good things will happen.
- 8:12Put money behind your recruiting teams.
- 8:15Put money behind your HR teams, put money behind, your people
- 8:19put money behind everything you do.
- 8:21How about we just do that? And now I'm really going crazy
- 8:25and I'm definitely going to wrap up but how about we just do
- 8:27that? How about we just put as much
- 8:32money as possible as much thoughtful in this as possible
- 8:35as much 40 jacquet initiative is as an as possible as much
- 8:38empathy as possible to each vertical of the business model,
- 8:42period. Sales marketing operations
- 8:47product HR D. Like let's just give everyone
- 8:51the same amount of Love, passion and care.
- 8:55How about we just do that? So you don't have to hear a
- 9:00million podcast say, give HR people more resources, give HR
- 9:04people or more team members give HR people more support. so as
- 9:09always, just a few thoughts, Just a few perspectives.
- 9:16We'll talk soon. We'll talk soon.
