- 1:35All right, folks, hail and welcome back.
- 1:40Hmm. Excuse me.
- 1:41Hello, and welcome back to the next episode.
- 1:46The next rendition. The next session. of the random
- 1:55Heathen ramblings podcast as brought to you by none, other
- 1:59than Me trying to just get my bearings set over here.
- 2:07As you can see. I have a nun.
- 2:10Burnt incense burner, and based off of the poll results that I
- 2:18posted last week. I've got I've got mixed results.
- 2:26So half of you voted. Well, those of you that did
- 2:30vote, I got almost like a 100% response to burn a Balsam cented
- 2:36incense on the Spotify pole. And then over here on the
- 2:39YouTube channel. All right, you know, the the
- 2:42pole that was run last week there.
- 2:45It was almost a neck and neck tie between frankincense and I
- 2:48want to say mugwort but frankincense did beat mugwort or
- 2:53whichever. The other one was.
- 2:55So I go you know. Now what do I do?
- 2:58Do I burn Balsam? I burn frankincense and then I
- 3:01thought, well, let's get really wild and let's burn one of each.
- 3:04So here we've got a Balsam and frankincense stick that we're
- 3:11going to burn. So it's going to get nice and
- 3:12aromatic up in here today. So I hope you guys have your
- 3:16smell-o-vision enable even if you don't have your visual.
- 3:22Capabilities. If you're not watching this on
- 3:24YouTube or Spotify video podcasts and you're just
- 3:27listening to this on one of your other podcast platforms, engage
- 3:32your smellavision. Because it's about to get very
- 3:34aromatic in here. So before we get started with
- 3:40the show, Let's go ahead and just get these bad boys rolling.
- 3:48And so yeah, I'm gonna do this every week.
- 3:53Don't know if we'll do a poll next time or or what that one
- 4:03double check and make sure. It's got a double check and make
- 4:08sure, you know. There it is.
- 4:11Okay. So hopefully I won't get too
- 4:19badly smoked out here. I'm just going to keep this off
- 4:23to the side still sort of kind of in frame, but it's already
- 4:28smelling very smelling like a resin e, tiny almost woods.
- 4:35I've also got some Scotch going here as is the norm, you know,
- 4:38so for you that are catching the premiere on Thursday mornings.
- 4:42Don't worry. I'm not drinking. in the
- 4:45morning, although I have done that and keep your judgments to
- 4:49yourself on that because it's never a bad time to have a
- 4:53little something, you know, I mean But this is a nice.
- 5:01It's Yura Yura, Jay you are a, is the is the Distillery, or the
- 5:06brand. And it's a, it's a one that I
- 5:11recently tried. I actually tasted it for the
- 5:13first time on the last Plague Inc.
- 5:17Gaming live stream on the YouTube channel.
- 5:19So, if you guys caught me tasting it at that time, you'll
- 5:23know that I'm a big fan. It's not day.
- 5:28Very expensive Scotch at all. I think this was just under $30
- 5:33for the whole bottle and it's got a lot of the caramel e kind
- 5:36of vanilla and and bright fruity notes with a little bit of a
- 5:41touch of smoke. Nothing too crazy.
- 5:42Nothing to, you know, it's definitely not annihilate.
- 5:46It's not it's not an island, but it is a nice just sipping.
- 5:50I mean, they're all nice, sipping Scotch is so, but yeah,
- 5:56this is like a, I don't know. I think this was finished.
- 5:59I think it said it was finished in American Oak.
- 6:01Barrels or Oak barrels. Something like that.
- 6:04So it's got a really, you know, kind of Woody.
- 6:06Almost almost bourbon e thing going on but it definitely
- 6:10doesn't doesn't come off as a bourbon.
- 6:13It's more of just a like a space side or lowland scotch.
- 6:19It is a single malt. But so.
- 6:23Yeah, guys, what are we going to be talking about this week?
- 6:26Well, I wanted to talk about a couple of things.
- 6:28But first before we get into, you know, the actual subject of
- 6:32today's podcast, which is going to be about the sovereignty of
- 6:38the Hearth and the blending of tribes.
- 6:48Now, before we get into that, I wanted to talk about an upcoming
- 6:53event that I hope to see some of my listeners viewers friends
- 7:00subscribers. If you're in the middle,
- 7:02Tennessee area or close to Tennessee in any proximity.
- 7:07I mean, this, this is a yearly and annual event than myself and
- 7:12hopefully other members of My Tribe and my wife will be
- 7:16attending. Is the annual Sunnah bloat?
- 7:21Festival or celebration, which is hosted by The Raven, Moon
- 7:26Hearth Kindred, or tribe kind of north of Nashville in Spring
- 7:33Hill. So that's where it's being held.
- 7:36There's going to be some details about that in the video
- 7:40description and in the podcast show notes.
- 7:42So whichever, you know, platform you're on catching this on,
- 7:47check out wherever the that information is.
- 7:51It's you know, show notes for the podcast description area for
- 7:53the video, but I didn't want to talk a bit about it because I
- 7:58have attended soon a bloke with the Hearth once before a couple
- 8:03years ago. Actually, probably now three
- 8:06years ago, at least three or four years ago has been that
- 8:09long because it was before covid.
- 8:11So it was either 2018 or 2019. So yeah, already three maybe
- 8:17four years and because of Of some situational things.
- 8:25We have our least, I have refrain from going to a lot of
- 8:29Hearth events. And this is going to kind of,
- 8:32you know, eventually segue into part of the topic of today's
- 8:36discussion, the blending of tribes, inter tribal relations,
- 8:40that sort of thing. But suffice that to say, the
- 8:44good thing to report is that previous roadblocks.
- 8:50Have been lifted in order for us to pursue.
- 8:56Inter tribal relations, you know and and having members of each
- 9:01other's tribe get to know each other and kind of hopefully
- 9:05build more on the community as it exists right now.
- 9:10So it's going to be on June 18th, which is a Saturday.
- 9:13And as the name might suggest, Sunnah, Sunnah bloat.
- 9:17Okay? Is it's an event.
- 9:19It's a public event. It's open to the public.
- 9:21It's not a tribal only or closed off event as Holy tides are at
- 9:27some festivals or celebrations. Might be this is open to the
- 9:30public and it is a festival. A Midsummer Festival case you
- 9:37can imagine. June is it's almost I mean for
- 9:42Tennessee, you know, we're definitely in the middle of the
- 9:45year and it but some are still has a ways to go.
- 9:49But anyways, it's right near it's right around the time of
- 9:52what, you know, a lot of folks would celebrate as the summer
- 9:56equinox. So June 21st, June 18th is the
- 9:59weekend leading up to that but soon, upload is a celebration
- 10:04and a dedication to Sunnah the the sacred representation.
- 10:11The sun, some might say goddess, which is I believe the
- 10:16definition that the Hearth uses. And some of the sources that you
- 10:21may read in here about within like the poetic Edda of a loofah
- 10:25or even snore. He's prose Edda in the cone
- 10:29goofy gaining, I believe soon as mentioned but the female
- 10:36Representation of the Sun in, in Germanic mythology.
- 10:40So there's a going to be a bloat, upload to Sunnah, a
- 10:45ritual being held. Usually, as I recall there.
- 10:48It's held at the end of the day, course, when the sun's going
- 10:50down and but prior to that throughout the day, there's
- 10:55going to be games. There's going to be feasting.
- 10:59There's some vendors that are going to be showing up all of
- 11:02which I don't have a lot of details on, but I know there's
- 11:04going to be some Folks who do like divination of sorts going
- 11:12to be talking about that here in just a second because you guy
- 11:15over here will be there doing some of that but there's a going
- 11:20to be information posted again in the description and show
- 11:23notes of the video for podcasts. Whatever you're catching this,
- 11:26that explain more in detail. So there's a Facebook page or
- 11:30Facebook group events and, you know, link that's going to be
- 11:33posted there. So, you know, feel free to To to
- 11:36check that out and see all what's going on.
- 11:39Some of the vendor information is posted in there.
- 11:42Greg Strong. Who's the chieftain for Raven
- 11:45Moon Hearth is kind of leading that type of stuff.
- 11:50He's the one that's posting all about it, and sharing
- 11:54information, and it is a family-friendly event.
- 11:58There is Saturday, into Sunday, capabilities of, you know, so,
- 12:05there would be Camping options there.
- 12:06It's on one of the tribal members.
- 12:09I think it's it's it's the fuel, whose property, it's being, it's
- 12:14hosted on in Spring Hill. There has, you know, plenty of
- 12:18land for for people to stay over in Camp if you so choose, but
- 12:23all those details will be posted.
- 12:25There. There is a entry fee.
- 12:28You don't have to stay overnight.
- 12:30You don't have to stay the whole day, but to come and to be a
- 12:33part of it. There is a an entry.
- 12:35Fe so there's food. There's going to be communities,
- 12:40sharing is going to be Fellowship.
- 12:41There's going to be hopefully a lot of good weird being tied and
- 12:45I will be there with my wife and I will be kind of like a, you
- 12:52know, you could say vendor guess it's the best term because
- 12:58they're going to have people there that are selling their
- 13:00crafts, but also selling their services.
- 13:03So I will be there in person. That's una bloat on June 18th to
- 13:09do Rune, castings $10, a cast, you know, so and I don't do, you
- 13:14know, one runecast, I'll do like a three-rune spread, where kind
- 13:19of like how the like we read about in tacitus has
- 13:24recollection of how the Germanic tribes would believe it was
- 13:32tacitus. Yeah, blue was tasks where he
- 13:36talks about that. How they they cast lots, you
- 13:39know, and or and they from fruit bearing trees.
- 13:44They have pieces of wood that they pick and they pick three
- 13:47different ones. And there's there's designated
- 13:49people that are supposed to do it, but we're gonna do, like, a
- 13:57three-room spread. We'll talk a bit one-on-one
- 14:01about, you know, the purpose for the casting purpose for the
- 14:04drawing. I'm just trying to get a little
- 14:06bit of background and stuff on things and make it a thing.
- 14:09So I'll be doing that. There might have a few items to
- 14:13actually sell. I do still have some room sets
- 14:16that I've made two of which are made out of seashells.
- 14:20So I have I have those looking to try to, you know, provide as
- 14:27a gift or as a good I should say along with the services.
- 14:32So I'll be there. I'll be there as soon as I blow.
- 14:35Not sure how long I'll be there, you know, the whole day or the
- 14:41definitely not going to be staying overnight.
- 14:43But if you're in the area and you're close enough to Spring
- 14:46Hill, Tennessee, come on out, become part of it.
- 14:50Would love to meet you. I'd love to get to know the
- 14:54other people out here that are, you know, listening and tuning
- 14:57into this sort of thing. So I know there are some people
- 15:00that listen and watch, that are not that far from that area.
- 15:04Tennessee in. That would even be willing to
- 15:06travel a bit if they're outside of the immediate vicinity.
- 15:09So think about it and hope to see you there.
- 15:15So again, that's Saturday June 18th, check the description show
- 15:18notes for those details smelling really good in here, guys.
- 15:24This is a great idea. I like the, you know, I'm never
- 15:26just settled with one instance. Like I did last time, I think I
- 15:29might entertain doing doing two at once.
- 15:33If I get a, get a Wild hair at my butt as it were.
- 15:39So, that's the kind of the announcement about things and
- 15:44where? Where we're at with that.
- 15:47So let's get into the topic. Actually that I wanted to talk
- 15:51about today. The sanctity.
- 15:58The sacredness. Of the hearth.
- 16:06And the sovereignty of it. Mainly some things have happened
- 16:12recently that I've learned a lot through the trial and error.
- 16:19Part of learning, you know, you make mistakes, you make
- 16:22decisions you say or do things that you later.
- 16:28Learn? We're not the The wisest of
- 16:32choices to make, but it shouldn't deter us and it
- 16:35shouldn't distract us from ever or shouldn't deter us from doing
- 16:40things again, in the future. Right?
- 16:42I mean, just because you stuck won't stumble and fall trip
- 16:45along the way doesn't mean, you can't keep walking can't keep
- 16:47going. And do you shouldn't just then,
- 16:49you know, just don't give up. But along with that.
- 16:53It shouldn't distract us from the lessons that we can learn as
- 16:58well. And because even I saw something
- 17:04the other day where it said something along the lines of,
- 17:06you know, even even the wrong path, can lead, us to the right
- 17:10destination. You're taking the wrong path,
- 17:14can lead us to the right destination, something along
- 17:16those lines. It gives you pause to think or
- 17:18gave me, you know, plus think that wow, you know, I went down
- 17:22the wrong path here a little bit.
- 17:23I strayed into territory that I shouldn't have.
- 17:28As an individual, who serves in a position of leadership with my
- 17:33tribe and you know, not going to are all the details out here and
- 17:40this platform because that's private.
- 17:43That's that's between us. But the lesson that was learned
- 17:47is the sovereignty of the Hearth and how those individual Huts.
- 17:58Those individual roof trees are sovereign.
- 18:03They are, they are They are sacred in their own, right.
- 18:07And they are governed by the ones that are over their Hearth
- 18:10and none of that should ever be interfered with from anybody
- 18:14outside of that Hearth. Now side of that home and no
- 18:19matter what. It's, you know, your tribe, your
- 18:21Chieftain, your go, the your does not have or shouldn't I
- 18:27should say, have the Oversight or or the or the position to
- 18:34tell you how to run your home to tell you how to live your life
- 18:38and to tell you what to do and then to make ultimatums or to
- 18:40make, you know, it's either this or that.
- 18:44And and so forth. There is a fine line.
- 18:48I will say that there is a fine line.
- 18:50I feel that that that someone like a chieftain in a tribe or
- 18:54however, rules the tribe over leaves the tribe in that in that
- 18:57ultimate position. However, the tribal structure is
- 19:01set up. Every tribe is going to be
- 19:03different with Kendra, going to be set up a little bit
- 19:04differently. And that's for them.
- 19:07You know, their haul, their call.
- 19:08Shout out there shervin, the Ravens, call, not my haul, not
- 19:12my call, and it kind of ties into this in many, many ways.
- 19:18So we're going to talk a bit more about that.
- 19:21So the lessons that we learned or that I learned when it comes
- 19:26to the intent behind trying to insert yourself in places where
- 19:33you shouldn't or to have a say in things that you shouldn't,
- 19:36for example, how someone runs their home, or what somebody
- 19:39does with their own life within their own Hearth, within their
- 19:44own home and, you know, stepping into that and making Again,
- 19:51ultimate giving ultimatums or making rules where you
- 19:53shouldn't. It's a fine line for somebody in
- 19:56that position like a Chieftain, Ergo the or whoever's that top
- 19:59leader of the, of the tribe. Because it is, it is their
- 20:02responsibility to preserve the tribal tribal luck.
- 20:07And, and to be that sort of caretaker of the tribal luck.
- 20:11And to make sure that things that are being done within the
- 20:13tribe are, are safe and good. And Will will, will bring luck
- 20:21to the tribe and not damage the tribes luck.
- 20:26But it gives a I've learned. It is a very fine line that one
- 20:30walks when it comes to that because individual homes,
- 20:34individual people, individual families, individual Hearts,
- 20:39have their own luck that they need to, to work out.
- 20:42And they have their own left that they need to preserve and
- 20:44their own, you know, all of that.
- 20:49That's not the Chieftains job and it's not his, or her job.
- 20:55It's not there. Job, too. interfere to the point
- 21:02that that person's house is under that Chief under that
- 21:07leaders of that rulers oversight and if it gets to that point,
- 21:15Then you start getting into territory if you guys can hear
- 21:20it, but it's pouring down. Rain is probably not going to
- 21:22pick up Young on the mic, but it's a, it's, it's pouring down
- 21:27rain here. So hopefully will We'll be able
- 21:32to keep this rolling without any technical difficulties or
- 21:34interference. Sometimes, the weather can have
- 21:37strange effects on electronics and Technology things.
- 21:44So, anyway, defining barriers to finding the lines.
- 21:50There has to be a line set, right?
- 21:54And There has to be an understanding and respect of
- 21:58what lines not to cross the sovereignty of the home.
- 22:01The sovereignty of the Hearth is Is Paramount as much as the
- 22:08sovereignty and and preserving the luck of a tribe is, it's all
- 22:14important, you know, but it's not the responsibility of the
- 22:18chieftain. Let's say to make sure that, you
- 22:21know, John Smith's family is, is acting, right, right.
- 22:24That's the responsibility of John Smith, you know, so whoever
- 22:28John Smith is with whatever his, you know, life is.
- 22:34Whatever angle his life is taking whatever Direction.
- 22:37His life is heading in, that's John Smith's business.
- 22:41Not necessarily The Chieftains. Now if it gets to the point
- 22:44where the decisions that John Smith is making as a member of
- 22:46the tribe start to negatively impact and have an effect on the
- 22:53overall tribal luck. Then it's The Chieftains job or
- 22:57the go, the whoever it is, whatever that person's job is to
- 23:03see to it that it is addressed, you know in a right way, so when
- 23:10we talk about, Tribe. Whenever I talk about tribe, I'm
- 23:15always referring to that as an extension of the Hearth and it
- 23:20should never take over. The importance of the Hearth
- 23:25because again, at the site of the sovereignty, the sanctity of
- 23:30of it. And the way that I've seen, how
- 23:35Heathen re best functions is things start at the home.
- 23:40It has to have, you have to have a strong home.
- 23:44You have to have a strong roof-tree.
- 23:45You have to have a strong Hearth.
- 23:47You have to have a strong home life in order for the tribe to
- 23:51grow out of that. Because it's again, it's like a
- 23:54extension of the family. It's where in modern times I
- 23:59feel we see the dynamic of, you know, kin and kith.
- 24:07You know, Ken is family of your blood kisses is the married into
- 24:12or oath in. Family that are not necessarily
- 24:16tied to you through blood but are nonetheless tied to you in
- 24:19the way that whether it be through oath or through
- 24:24exchanging of luck and weird. You become You know, like Ken
- 24:32fact that kiss element. And you know, we see this in
- 24:37examples throughout many of the sagas and in some of the older
- 24:41sources that we have that we can look to and see how Society
- 24:44functions. So it's like a representation of
- 24:46that, in modern times now, but none of it.
- 24:50Should none of it. None of the tribal building
- 24:54activity another tribe, the furthering of a tribe should
- 24:58ever. Get into.
- 25:03You know, inserting them inserting oneself into a, the
- 25:06sanctity of the Hearth. Now, I suppose one could say
- 25:10that if, the tribe starts out with family and you have always
- 25:17been family and then your Tribe tribal Affairs become now opened
- 25:25up to more people as the tribe grows.
- 25:28The dynamic has to change. The relationship has to change
- 25:31its like. Yeah, we may be brothers.
- 25:33We may be cousins. We may be uncle's nephews nieces
- 25:37nephews, Etc. And that would never change.
- 25:42And then if you know at the same time now, we have other people
- 25:45who are becoming part of the tribe, the extension of this
- 25:49family. And so, We have to be careful of
- 25:53of that whole thing too. And that's that's I think where
- 25:55for me, you know. I was having some.
- 26:02Challenges and navigating through because the way our
- 26:06tribe has started became very a dog.
- 26:12Just move my foot and my dog sleeping up under my feet
- 26:15because it's raining, get in there Gunner, get in there go,
- 26:18he didn't there. Yeah, for you get kicked again,
- 26:24but the way that you, the way that our tribe has started, you
- 26:26know, has been very family-centric and and
- 26:29circulated around how strongly where as a family unit.
- 26:33In the family became as such not through blood.
- 26:36But through again, through tying of weird and through sharing in
- 26:40ritual and, and having a sense of mutual obligation that fourth
- 26:45Bond being being secured and that's what kind of made us
- 26:51family. So we have always been very open
- 26:53and very transparent with a lot of things more so than we should
- 26:57have is is kind of the lesson that I, you know, took away from
- 27:02Are there? There were definitely times when
- 27:05oversharing took place and it it proved to not be a good thing
- 27:12for the hearth for the home. Thankfully because things
- 27:16started out strongly with the Hearth and with the home, these
- 27:19types of roadblocks, these types of hiccups, these types of, you
- 27:22know, things that can get kind of ugly at times, you know, you
- 27:26know, being very open and transparent with each other to
- 27:29talk about through through these challenges, you know.
- 27:32It, your feelings can get hurt, but I would rather have that
- 27:38every single time, then to be. Lied to and to be kept behind a
- 27:45curtain and and pretended amongst.
- 27:48You know what I mean? I'd rather have that open and
- 27:50honest approach to things and that's how that's how we've done
- 27:54it and that's how we're going to continue to do it.
- 27:56And that's how I would urge anybody looking to join a
- 28:01kindred or or become part of a tribe or or start one yourself.
- 28:06Perhaps is You know, again, your hall your call, you do what you
- 28:12want, how you want to do it, based off of whatever.
- 28:16But from my experience. And from what I've come to learn
- 28:20is that, you know, established those safe and sovereign.
- 28:26Boundaries right. Make sure that people know that
- 28:32when they become part of a group that they are not going to be
- 28:35dictated. They're not going to be, you
- 28:40know, ruled over as though they were peasants.
- 28:42There is a structure, there is an order and there is a reason
- 28:48for that structure and order but it is not to infiltrate and
- 28:51insert into the lives and into the sovereignty of the And of
- 28:57the Hearth and that is something that I would never.
- 29:02Change. And when will never change, you
- 29:04know, it's kind of the thing that started us off in our in
- 29:09our approach on building our tribe.
- 29:13But but again because so far as it is right.
- 29:15Now the tribe has is been mainly in only close family, or kif
- 29:20extension of family, you know, the thoughts of how that applies
- 29:26to us have been kind of lost in the lines, a bit or are lost in
- 29:29the sand. you know, so there has to be that there has to be that
- 29:33respect or has to be that understanding of we're going to
- 29:38do our thing. We're going to be what we're
- 29:40going to be. We're going to do, we're going
- 29:41to do in our hearts and then when we get together as a tribe,
- 29:45we're going to do the Triad thing.
- 29:48And until or unless one affects negatively the other.
- 29:53Stay out of it, you know, so that is and I, you know, I
- 29:58wanted to use this week's episode.
- 30:00This week's podcast to really talk about that and get that out
- 30:05there because I see a lot of folks in our area in our Middle,
- 30:10Tennessee area. Looking for A tribe or looking
- 30:15for a Kinder looking for a group, to be a part of whichever
- 30:20group you end up deciding whether it's, you know, you come
- 30:22out here to Raven when Hearth and you want to learn more about
- 30:24their way of doing things, or whether you talk to me or some
- 30:28of the other tribes, member tribal members of our tribe for
- 30:32the folk and ask us about things.
- 30:36You know, that's sad, be something that you have in the
- 30:39Forefront of your mind. Like I'm, you know, We are about
- 30:43that. We support that we recently had
- 30:48to really live by that and learn what that means in its
- 30:52application. So and if it's not any of our
- 30:56group, so, you know, if it's if you're out, swear if you're
- 30:58listening and watching and you're not in this area and you
- 31:00looking for something in your area guy would vary.
- 31:03Again, highly suggest that, you know, as you consider what
- 31:06you're considering, make that a stipulation make that something
- 31:10that you will not You know abide if they're not willing to keep
- 31:17those lines, the find and keep the sovereignty of the Hearth
- 31:20with the people who are in that Hearth themselves, you know, I
- 31:25would very strongly consider reconsider, tying yourself to a
- 31:30group that wants to be in your business in that way.
- 31:32So You do you label do then? But consider that that's it.
- 31:39That is this week's kind of thought or lesson that I wanted
- 31:44to to mention the other kind of half of this whole thing, you
- 31:47know, intertribal relationships. Again, it's kind of a segue into
- 31:51that. And by the way, I know that if
- 31:55if by the time this airs, you guys are seeing or hearing
- 32:00another video from Eric shervin at the Even call the word
- 32:05Weaver. I think he may have either
- 32:09content coming up. Or maybe in the near future or
- 32:14maybe the one that that's about to be released that ties a
- 32:17little bit into this. So it's going to be interesting.
- 32:19We used to it's crazy because me and him, you know, we we upload
- 32:22stuff on a different schedule and his life has been so busy
- 32:26and so hectic. And he's had so little time to
- 32:30release content that in back when we were, you know, he was
- 32:34uploading videos every week and I was to still upload the
- 32:37podcast every week, but things have changed a little bit in
- 32:39terms of might, you know, Everything everything has
- 32:43changed. Anyway, my point is that we used
- 32:46to put videos out not ever. Talk to each other.
- 32:49Not know what each other was was doing in terms of content.
- 32:52And it would just so happen that some much it like his content
- 32:55would have tie into to what I was saying or I would say
- 33:00something of a kind is and there was like a similarity and it's
- 33:02almost like, you know people think are you guys talking about
- 33:05stuff in the background? Are you coming up with, you know
- 33:07the content to to push out and it's like no we did. /.
- 33:12We don't collaborate in that way.
- 33:13We had the video collaborations that we've done that we're plan
- 33:17and that were, you know, thought about.
- 33:20But some of the other stuff that was unplanned which SI.
- 33:22Wow, you know, it's almost kind of eerie.
- 33:25Now. I will say that this topic of
- 33:27discussion was something that I was privy to, and I knew ahead
- 33:31of time that he was going to be doing this, but I did not intend
- 33:34on the things that have happened that led up to me want to talk
- 33:37about this. Turtle obviously fall in the
- 33:41same line or time frame. So we're talking about it.
- 33:44Now, you'll probably hear something all along the.
- 33:48Same lines are at least the same topic in terms of intertribal
- 33:51relationships and that sort of thing.
- 33:54So, I'm excited to know that that may be something coming
- 33:57down the pipeline for Eric, or from Eric.
- 33:59So, you guys be sure to check out the Ravens call on YouTube
- 34:02and see what he's got coming up soon.
- 34:05So anyway, without knowing what he's going to say without
- 34:09knowing what is topic if it even is going to be, I'm still going
- 34:12to proceed because again with With what I was mentioning
- 34:17earlier about us in our area in Middle, Tennessee and having you
- 34:22know, the Raven Moon Horse soon upload event coming up.
- 34:27It is rekindling a relationship that myself and other members of
- 34:33our tribe sort of got in we're starting to get into before the
- 34:39pandemic and then because of the pandemic and the way the world
- 34:43went and everything every you know, last few.
- 34:45Years of just been wild wild and crazy last couple years have
- 34:49been wild and crazy. And so now with with again, as I
- 34:54mentioned earlier, some of the roadblocks that we had before
- 34:57lifted. Now, we're really hungry to get
- 35:02back into such things as, you know, Park moots or Pub moots
- 35:07or, you know, meeting up at restaurants or coffee shops or
- 35:10whatever the case may be and just socializing not having, you
- 35:13know, outdoor events or or big huge camping sites or anything
- 35:18like that, but just having semi-regular public, meetups.
- 35:22Like, hey guys, we're going to post about it on our social
- 35:24medias. Hey, we're going to be at You
- 35:28know, whatever it is, whatever, restaurant, whatever, bowling
- 35:31alley, whatever Park, you know, just we're going to be here
- 35:33hanging out, you know, come say hi, you know, come meet the
- 35:38pagans and heathens in your community and come see about
- 35:42making new friends. Meeting new people and
- 35:45establishing ties with each other to perhaps continue to
- 35:49grow the community. So we want to do that more and
- 35:53given the opportunity to come to such an event like Sunnah bloat
- 35:57is a great. Networking Chan Tai opportunity
- 36:00because there's going to be people from other walks of
- 36:03polytheism. It's not just a heathen event.
- 36:07There's going to be the my knowledge.
- 36:09There's going to be a couple of different Pagan covens.
- 36:12I don't know if they're Wiccan or you know what they are, but I
- 36:15was Greg told me it's, you know, a couple of different covens
- 36:18from the area, you know, so Kentucky like for Campbell area
- 36:24of Tennessee, /. Kentucky, and we're Wherever
- 36:28else? I'm not sure but again, it's an
- 36:30it's a thing that they've had for years and people have come
- 36:34from out of the state out of the immediate area and have been
- 36:37have made the journey to you know, come and meet people and
- 36:42partake in the games and in the festivities and the feasting and
- 36:46the fellowship and it's good stuff.
- 36:50I'm glad to be a part of that again.
- 36:51I'm glad to be able to step out and away from Where we've kind
- 36:58of been stuck in and get to know more people.
- 37:01So that's exciting. And I really hope that, you
- 37:05know, anybody that's listening and watching that's in the
- 37:10Tennessee area. Whether you're East West
- 37:13Tennessee, Middle, Tennessee, wherever I mean, sure it's a big
- 37:16state. But when there's, you know, a
- 37:20month or two plan event, that could that's coming up, or if
- 37:23it's an annual event. That is, you know, Every year,
- 37:26it happens around the same time. You have that come up enough,
- 37:29time to plan ahead, and make the arrangements to be able to be
- 37:34there. We want to be a part of those
- 37:36things, too. We want to, you know, I was
- 37:41telling Greg, it's no. And we're not trying to poach
- 37:43anybody. We're not trying to.
- 37:44Hey, let's come hang out with your group and see how many of
- 37:46your people we can take over to our group.
- 37:49Nothing like that. It's just, hey, this is who we
- 37:51are. This is what we did.
- 37:52This is how we do it. This is where we do it.
- 37:55This, you know what I mean, and, and who knows, you know, that
- 37:59could be the seed that is planted. for other people to
- 38:06come and Try things out, you know, so the inter tribal
- 38:12relations having a neighboring tribe opened up their arms, the
- 38:17hospital that the gestures of hospitality to people.
- 38:21And then us being a part of it is it's a great I think you know
- 38:26display and it's a great gesture of The sincerity that much of
- 38:35the Pagan and Heathen communities possess, you know,
- 38:37the sincerity, the want to be there for each other to help
- 38:40each other to give each other a place that we know we can come
- 38:44to where there's like minded people.
- 38:46You know, you don't have to be a Germanic Pagan.
- 38:48You don't have to be, you know, neo-pagan Wiccan.
- 38:53You don't have to be, you know, whatever.
- 38:57Just it, you know, you can take a Celtic Pagan for I mean, I
- 39:04don't know, just whatever your polytheistic approaches to
- 39:07things. I mean, the Hearth has been
- 39:09talking about Raven when Hearth now, they've been accepting and
- 39:11open to people. There's another big event in
- 39:15Nashville every year. The puff Pagan, Unity Festival,
- 39:20you know, I mean you want to talk about bringing people
- 39:22together, man, natural Pagan Pride day when they were doing
- 39:27that. It's been several years, but I
- 39:29mean you talk about thousands of people, thousands of people From
- 39:32all over the state country, even that come to this, I even met a
- 39:37guy here was from England, you know, comes to the thing every
- 39:41year, be great to have something like that.
- 39:46And be a part of it, you know and know that if it's
- 39:49established and then we have other pagans and we have other
- 39:52heathens. We have other folks in the
- 39:53community that want to share and and and just tie weird with each
- 40:01other, you know. So, I'm all for it.
- 40:08I am all for it again. You gotta, you gotta It's all
- 40:13great to talk about and and and the the idea of it, the idea of,
- 40:18you know, sharing. members or are having relationships that
- 40:24transcend barriers between tribes, you know, that can get
- 40:30into some of the stuff. I was mentioning earlier where
- 40:34about, you know, tribe leaders whose job it is and whose
- 40:39obligation it isn't whose role it is to protect and preserve
- 40:42and Safeguard the luck of the tribe, you know, that opens
- 40:47things up a bit, you know, so you gotta be careful with just
- 40:49how accepting and how, I don't know, you know, inviting you
- 40:55are. It's great to have that
- 40:58acceptance and it's great to have that, you know, willingness
- 41:01to be open. there does need to be, I think some checks and
- 41:05balances in place, you know, because again, you just don't
- 41:07want to Oh, yeah, we're so accepting or so Universal, you
- 41:12know that we're just gonna let everybody and anybody come in
- 41:16here and have a bloat with us and have a ritual with us, you
- 41:18know, gotta be careful with stuff like that.
- 41:24Some of those things I feel are, especially when it's, you know,
- 41:29tribal events, tribal ritual tribal Traditions, the through
- 41:33of the of the respective tribes, like, that should be kept closed
- 41:37to that tribe and members of that tribe.
- 41:43Or their honored guests. I seen that work before.
- 41:49So it's you know, it's a tight rope that we walk.
- 41:53It's a fine line that we that we that we definitely navigate to.
- 42:01Consider the things I'm talking about preserving, that luck,
- 42:04making sure that you're not. allowing, any bad luck to to
- 42:12spoil your well, you know, so, Lessons Learned.
- 42:20Exciting things coming up, you know, for those that don't
- 42:24follow the midgard, musings page, on Facebook.
- 42:28There is a Facebook group called Middle Tennessee heathens and it
- 42:33is a midgard, musings, run group.
- 42:35So, Middle Tennessee. Heathens, they'll be a link for
- 42:38that in the description as well. You guys want to check out if
- 42:41you're on Facebook, but I do try to cross promote everything
- 42:46whether it's on the Instagram, Twitter and YouTube Community.
- 42:50Pages, so I think most everybody has more than one form of social
- 42:54media. And if you don't, then you're
- 42:58listening to this and you know that will share any updates
- 43:02about things. And keep you posted about where
- 43:05we're going to be, what we're going to be doing when it's a
- 43:07public open to the public event because again, it's nice to have
- 43:12these talks in. It's nice to have this, you
- 43:15know, platform to share and learn from, but the real deal.
- 43:20Deal is when you're face-to-face and then for anybody that's you
- 43:23know, close enough, that can make the trip, make it happen.
- 43:28That's great. So with that being said, it's my
- 43:31it's going to be a little bit of a shorter episode, but I think,
- 43:33you know, there's no need to draw things out any longer than
- 43:36what then then then you know what they need to be.
- 43:39So recently. We just got a new Patron on the
- 43:43midgard, musings patreon. So M Darby Thank you so much for
