- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hello, everyone, welcome to the almost of his podcast. Ben.
- 0:11Speaker 2: How are you doing?
- 0:12Speaker 3: I'm doing fantastic today. I'm in Warsaw, Indiana. I'm stanning
- 0:16Speaker 3: at the Generous Coffee Shop.
- 0:19Speaker 2: It looks dope. I mean it's just like bare bones,
- 0:22Speaker 2: but it still looks really cool. Keep it rustic looking.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Yeah, this is like the meeting rooms that are going
- 0:28Speaker 3: in downstairs. Looks legit. So life's good. It's really good.
- 0:35Speaker 3: My puppy is enjoying the lake. I'm enjoying the lake,
- 0:39Speaker 3: and everything is, you know, functioning as they should. It
- 0:43Speaker 3: feels like I.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Have some Hollywood news to share with everyone. Yesterday Jared
- 0:48Speaker 2: and I met Tom Cruise. It was one of the
- 0:50Speaker 2: coolest experiences of our entire lives. Like Jared and I
- 0:55Speaker 2: how that happened. We got invited to a intimate creator's interview.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I'm a mission impossible, will be on TikTok soon and
- 1:07Speaker 2: it was everything beyond, beyond everything we ever imagined. I
- 1:11Speaker 2: can go on and on. It feels like a different
- 1:13Speaker 2: time and place type thing to explain everything that went down.
- 1:17Speaker 2: But like, listen, guys, we had like this crazy intimate
- 1:23Speaker 2: conversation with Tom Cruise, and he gave us so much
- 1:27Speaker 2: of his time and like was the most thoughtful active listener.
- 1:34Speaker 2: We have always joked about how it would be to
- 1:37Speaker 2: meet Tom Cruise, Like it's always He's always been one
- 1:39Speaker 2: of our favorite actors, probably Jared's number one. He's up
- 1:43Speaker 2: there with you know, Leo. I guess he's tied with
- 1:45Speaker 2: Leo for me, and holy moly, like we've joked about
- 1:49Speaker 2: it because we always knew that he would be so
- 1:52Speaker 2: like incredibly like kind, warm and friendly and it was
- 1:55Speaker 2: like even crazier than we ever imagined. And all give
- 2:00Speaker 2: a play by play some other time, let Jared do
- 2:02Speaker 2: it on social media or something. He's gonna have to
- 2:04Speaker 2: like create a rael Er TikTok about the experience. And
- 2:07Speaker 2: today we are going to cover the red carpet of
- 2:11Speaker 2: this possible New York premiere and we are we're thinking
- 2:15Speaker 2: that we're going to be able to interview him, which
- 2:17Speaker 2: we're really excited about, especially Jared. He's just gonna like
- 2:20Speaker 2: totally nerd out. Yeah, we're doing it for Showcase Cinemas
- 2:25Speaker 2: and he apparently stops for all press. The top gun
- 2:30Speaker 2: red carpet took three hours for him to complete because
- 2:34Speaker 2: he gives that much time. And then a couple days
- 2:37Speaker 2: ago in the Rome premiere for a Mission Impossible, he
- 2:40Speaker 2: took over two hours. So we're really excited. But even
- 2:44Speaker 2: if we don't get to talk to him again today,
- 2:45Speaker 2: like yesterday was really one of the most memorable, memorable
- 2:49Speaker 2: experiences will ever have.
- 2:52Speaker 3: How much time did you actually have with him? Was
- 2:54Speaker 3: it like a nice hug, high nice to meet you,
- 2:56Speaker 3: or did you get to like actually talk with him.
- 2:58Speaker 2: No, No, we talked to him and the publicists and stuff
- 3:02Speaker 2: got a little bit annoyed because he came in and
- 3:06Speaker 2: he was already an hour and a half late. But
- 3:08Speaker 2: let me tell you, he walked into this room and
- 3:10Speaker 2: he went up to each group and like individual in
- 3:14Speaker 2: the room and said like, thank you so much for
- 3:18Speaker 2: being here. How are you doing today. I'm so sorry,
- 3:21Speaker 2: I'm late. I had to deal with some business, but
- 3:23Speaker 2: I apologize like it was the most like just thoughtful,
- 3:28Speaker 2: considerate person and it is exactly who I kind of
- 3:31Speaker 2: imagined him to be. And Jared and I got to
- 3:33Speaker 2: share the fact that, like when Jared and I first
- 3:37Speaker 2: met in Paradised, one of the first days, we were
- 3:39Speaker 2: sitting around a group around the campfire and I heard
- 3:43Speaker 2: overheard Jared quoting Jerry Maguire, which is one of my
- 3:47Speaker 2: top three favorite movies. And he wasn't just doing a
- 3:50Speaker 2: classic line. He was doing like the whole scene from
- 3:53Speaker 2: like the Walk in where he goes, I'm looking for
- 3:56Speaker 2: my wife in front of the whole like X group,
- 3:59Speaker 2: and I was like, I must be that man's wife.
- 4:04Speaker 2: And then we told him that moment and how it
- 4:07Speaker 2: transitioned to at our wedding, how we did the reading
- 4:10Speaker 2: of that scene, and he was like, I'm so honored that,
- 4:15Speaker 2: like my work can inspire such romance and Jaron, Yeah,
- 4:20Speaker 2: it was like so crazy. Oh, it was awesome. I
- 4:25Speaker 2: could go on and on and quote the entire conversation.
- 4:28Speaker 2: It wish was on film, but it's almost more special
- 4:30Speaker 2: that wasn't on film or wasn't on camera. We did
- 4:33Speaker 2: get a group picture with some other TikTokers, so so
- 4:37Speaker 2: cool and yeah, and then my other Hollywood needs. He
- 4:42Speaker 2: met both of his toms, both of his toms, and
- 4:46Speaker 2: then next week we are going to a Matchbox twenty
- 4:49Speaker 2: show and he'll be able to have more memories with
- 4:52Speaker 2: Rob Thomas It's like, Jared, You're trifecta of your toms,
- 4:57Speaker 2: Like they've all lived up, You've all had the the coolest,
- 5:01Speaker 2: most personal moments with all them, not just like handshakes
- 5:03Speaker 2: and hello, but like a moment.
- 5:06Speaker 3: I hope that every person comes off of the bachelom
- 5:10Speaker 3: Bachelorette franchise gets to have five percent of the opportunities
- 5:15Speaker 3: that you do because you give me some cool stuff.
- 5:18Speaker 2: We were like, we lived the craziest, coolest life. We're
- 5:22Speaker 2: so appreciative of all these insane moments that we found
- 5:25Speaker 2: ourselves in, like real dreams come true. Can't imagine much more? No, No,
- 5:32Speaker 2: like wildest dreams. Yeah, really cool, Okay. And then the
- 5:34Speaker 2: other Hollywood news that I have is I will be
- 5:38Speaker 2: on Stars on Mars. I am part of the Stars
- 5:41Speaker 2: on Mars cast. I went in late, so I'm a
- 5:44Speaker 2: late arrival with three other stars. You can now watch
- 5:49Speaker 2: it on Hulu. Wasn't allowed to talk about it until
- 5:52Speaker 2: after I made the premiere on the show, which was
- 5:54Speaker 2: you know last night or tonight late if you guys
- 5:57Speaker 2: are listening right after we've released the podcast episode. It
- 6:00Speaker 2: was a very cool experience. They simulated Mars on Australia
- 6:05Speaker 2: in the middle of freaking nowhere Australia. Ben, I know
- 6:09Speaker 2: we previewed this before on a previous podcast, but did
- 6:12Speaker 2: you do you feel open to talking about how they
- 6:15Speaker 2: asked you first and you said no.
- 6:18Speaker 3: I didn't really say no. That's the thing that makes
- 6:21Speaker 3: me mad. Yes, we can talk about it. I did
- 6:25Speaker 3: get asked, and then I just didn't have the full
- 6:27Speaker 3: month to give up.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah, they asked you for three weeks, and they asked
- 6:31Speaker 2: me for two weeks because he was going to be
- 6:34Speaker 2: original cast.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I couldn't be there the whole time, and they
- 6:36Speaker 3: said we'll move on from you, and then they moved
- 6:39Speaker 3: on to my co host actually, and I'm for her.
- 6:42Speaker 3: I am excited, but I'm really bombed.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. I felt so bad when I found
- 6:47Speaker 2: out this whole story for bun It's so good.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I mean, it sounded like a super fun show. It
- 6:52Speaker 3: sounded like a show that anybody'd want to do. I
- 6:54Speaker 3: really did want to do, and I was very excited
- 6:56Speaker 3: about potentially doing it. And then I guess my dates network,
- 7:02Speaker 3: but your dates, which were the same dates, did work,
- 7:05Speaker 3: and so I know you.
- 7:07Speaker 2: It was I got to start a week later because
- 7:09Speaker 2: I also wouldn't have been able to do three weeks
- 7:12Speaker 2: away from Dawson, Like I could not agree with that
- 7:14Speaker 2: for some reason. Two weeks we were like, Okay, we
- 7:17Speaker 2: can figure this out with childcare. And we had this
- 7:22Speaker 2: thought which really made the difference for us. It was like,
- 7:25Speaker 2: you know, how you'll look back on two weeks ago
- 7:28Speaker 2: to the day, it'd be like, oh my god, that's
- 7:29Speaker 2: been two weeks already. We thought that'll happen when I'm there, sure,
- 7:36Speaker 2: you know, And it was it was silly thirteen days
- 7:40Speaker 2: and something about thirteen days also sounded better to me.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I was able to We were able to work it out.
- 7:47Speaker 2: And I will say that you would have been a
- 7:49Speaker 2: far better cosmonaut than I. Like just your athletic ability,
- 7:53Speaker 2: I just and and really your teamwork. We will never
- 7:58Speaker 2: need to be there. Maybe if there's a Secon season.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, if there's a second season, please call me up.
- 8:03Speaker 3: But it is also why Ashley was away, and there
- 8:06Speaker 3: a speculation why she was away, but she was away
- 8:09Speaker 3: in beacka Koufer and filled in for a week. We
- 8:11Speaker 3: had a couple of guest co hosts. That was where
- 8:14Speaker 3: actually was that we just couldn't talk about it until now,
- 8:17Speaker 3: but we do want to watch and celebrate Ashley as
- 8:20Speaker 3: she tries to step out on Mars and prize probably
- 8:24Speaker 3: doing it.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I'm excited, Thank you. I was super sick, so don't
- 8:28Speaker 2: judge me if I'm not in peak Ashley. I reality
- 8:31Speaker 2: TV form. You guys will talk more detail about you know,
- 8:35Speaker 2: what's shown and stuff when it's shown.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Good.
- 8:38Speaker 2: All right, Well, shall we talk about the reality show
- 8:41Speaker 2: that we love and know the very most about.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Definitely?
- 8:45Speaker 1: Yes.
- 8:46Speaker 3: It's week three of Charity season of The Bachelorette. We
- 8:50Speaker 3: are getting good storylines. We have mentioned in the past
- 8:53Speaker 3: that we are feeling more engaged in this season than
- 8:56Speaker 3: past seasons. We are starting to understand who's who and
- 9:00Speaker 3: why they're there and what kind of trouble they're going
- 9:03Speaker 3: to cause or were kind of love story they're going
- 9:05Speaker 3: to create. This week is no different. Actually, summarize the
- 9:09Speaker 3: start of this episode. For this week, it feels like Braden,
- 9:14Speaker 3: and even after our interview with Charity, feels like Braiden
- 9:18Speaker 3: had started to rub people not just the wrong way,
- 9:21Speaker 3: but the majority of people the wrong way. During week two.
- 9:24Speaker 3: It felt like Week three really start out with people
- 9:27Speaker 3: being annoyed.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Yeah. So Week three starts out with Braden getting the
- 9:34Speaker 2: getting the date, the one on one. Yeah, right off
- 9:38Speaker 2: the bat. I think we're all surprised by this, right
- 9:40Speaker 2: because he's had so much airtime, and I feel like
- 9:43Speaker 2: when you know someone so well at this point, it
- 9:46Speaker 2: takes a while for them to get one on one.
- 9:48Speaker 2: But here we go and we're gonna start traveling. They're
- 9:52Speaker 2: going to just outside San Diego, and this season I
- 9:56Speaker 2: believe doesn't leave the country until the very end, so maybe, like, actually,
- 10:01Speaker 2: I don't mind an Americana season that was Chris Sols.
- 10:05Speaker 2: I know that the cast is like I thought I
- 10:06Speaker 2: was gonna get free trips to Europe and Asia, but
- 10:09Speaker 2: you know, you don't want it.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Anyways. It's fun to do it, but you don't leave
- 10:13Speaker 3: your hotel exactly.
- 10:15Speaker 2: You don't leave the hotel and you have to take
- 10:17Speaker 2: the worst flight ever. Yeah, and you're all you know,
- 10:22Speaker 2: you're all in coach. You're not traveling in luxury when
- 10:24Speaker 2: you're part of the cast, so you're better off doing
- 10:27Speaker 2: your short little flights around America anyway. Okay, so the
- 10:31Speaker 2: guys are traveling in a bus and then Brayden and
- 10:34Speaker 2: her are going to take a helicopter down there. Everything
- 10:37Speaker 2: is pretty classic, you know, Oh look at that all
- 10:40Speaker 2: I love being with you. This car ride and the
- 10:43Speaker 2: cool you know, like her red convertible. Cool. You can't
- 10:46Speaker 2: talk in a convertible. Everything's fine until they show up
- 10:50Speaker 2: to Padres, the Padres Stadium, and it's cool for him
- 10:55Speaker 2: because he grew up in the area, so that's like
- 10:57Speaker 2: his stadium where he has a whole ton of memories.
- 11:00Speaker 2: They're having a blast, like throwing the ball. I was
- 11:03Speaker 2: a little worried when she got hit in the face
- 11:05Speaker 2: with the ball. She seems fine. I actually thought, I
- 11:09Speaker 2: think that I know this sounds annoying, and I'm going
- 11:12Speaker 2: to play Devil's advocate a ton here because I know
- 11:15Speaker 2: that Braden is not who I've said this all three
- 11:18Speaker 2: weeks now. Not who should you end up with? Is
- 11:21Speaker 2: obviously the quote quote villain of the season. Yeah, but
- 11:25Speaker 2: I do find him. I know that sounds crazy to
- 11:28Speaker 2: be maybe genuine, all right, I know it sounds weird.
- 11:33Speaker 2: It's because I've known somebody like Brandon very similar personality types,
- 11:38Speaker 2: and it takes a while to warm up and see that, like,
- 11:41Speaker 2: they are quite genuine and they have a good heart,
- 11:44Speaker 2: they're just probably not ready for well a serious relationship.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Elaborate on this a little bit. So he's genuine. So
- 11:55Speaker 3: maybe he's when you say genuine, he's honest because he's
- 11:58Speaker 3: going to communicate what he's feeling, what he's thinking, why
- 12:00Speaker 3: he's feeling it, and why he's thinking it, even if.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Doesn't look good on the show's formula or just.
- 12:07Speaker 3: In general, as we talked about last year. Yeah, yes, yeah,
- 12:10Speaker 3: like that just the show, but in general, like it
- 12:12Speaker 3: comes off a little selfish, it comes off little naive,
- 12:17Speaker 3: comes off he really isn't thinking about anybody else but himself.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Yeah, but yes, but I'm saying genuine slash honest.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 12:28Speaker 2: So when she gets hitting the ball face with the ball,
- 12:32Speaker 2: I was thinking, he goes, oh my gosh, I was
- 12:34Speaker 2: worried about that happening. I don't know why that stood
- 12:37Speaker 2: out to me as like, oh, like it's just I
- 12:40Speaker 2: don't know, Chemo Gos was a genuine to be super weird.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I know that's like the smallest little thing.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Oh hey, I was worried about hitting you in the
- 12:47Speaker 3: face with the ball or getting a ball hit your face,
- 12:49Speaker 3: and I'm going to care about this like this is
- 12:51Speaker 3: something that I was worried. Yes, nobody needs to get
- 12:54Speaker 3: hit in the face of the ball, myself for nobody
- 12:56Speaker 3: else included. So of course he's going to react, and
- 12:58Speaker 3: hopefully he reacts with the way of I was worried
- 13:00Speaker 3: about this happening. I didn't want it to happen.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, well, of course I don't know. I don't know, right,
- 13:05Speaker 2: I just know that he's being sort of honest. But
- 13:09Speaker 2: believe me, all of the they're not beige flags, gen Z,
- 13:13Speaker 2: but straight up red flags come when they're sitting down
- 13:17Speaker 2: to dinner in the stadium and he says that he
- 13:22Speaker 2: says he doesn't think he's going to be able to
- 13:24Speaker 2: make it through this process. He's like, I really like you.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I want to get to know you more and like
- 13:32Speaker 2: have as much time as possible, but this process is
- 13:37Speaker 2: really not good for me. He goes because then, like
- 13:39Speaker 2: he says, when it's fresh, it's fresh in his mind
- 13:42Speaker 2: that he really likes her. But then after some look
- 13:46Speaker 2: at this point, like honestly, hours pass and then he's like, ah,
- 13:49Speaker 2: this is I don't like this. I don't like other
- 13:52Speaker 2: guys being here, I don't like not being just a
- 13:55Speaker 2: one on one experience, and it is alarming because he's
- 14:02Speaker 2: definitely in this case showing that he likes her, but
- 14:06Speaker 2: he doesn't like her enough. Because he doesn't like her
- 14:09Speaker 2: enough to be uncomfortable.
- 14:21Speaker 3: We go into a little bit of the psychology of
- 14:24Speaker 3: why people go on this show.
- 14:26Speaker 2: And then they decide that they can't get engaged or
- 14:29Speaker 2: they can't do it once they're there.
- 14:31Speaker 3: He's one of the most unique circumstances to me because
- 14:34Speaker 3: so early on, I mean so sometimes this happens in
- 14:37Speaker 3: like the Final four where you'll see the front runner
- 14:39Speaker 3: be like, this is getting harder and harder, and I
- 14:41Speaker 3: don't like.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Peter Krause is like the poster boys for us. Sean too, Sean,
- 14:45Speaker 2: I knew it was gonna stick through Peter. I was like,
- 14:48Speaker 2: this guy's not going to get engaged. He's putting his
- 14:49Speaker 2: foot down.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Yeah, so get later on we can make sense of that.
- 14:55Speaker 3: We can still you know, say, hey, you knew what
- 14:56Speaker 3: you're getting into, and if you cared about her enough,
- 14:59Speaker 3: you would just say, let's let's make this thing work.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Early on is very odd, Yeah, because he really hasn't
- 15:06Speaker 3: had to.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Suffer through much.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Yeah, he hasn't had itself through anything. Really, I mean,
- 15:11Speaker 3: he's here and he's also the guy. So okay, night
- 15:17Speaker 3: one he said I am the most like I'm overly considered.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Yes, that was good.
- 15:23Speaker 3: So on night one, he kisses Charity and he tells
- 15:26Speaker 3: everybody about it, everybody, even knowing that it could come
- 15:29Speaker 3: off wrong or that people would be down about it.
- 15:33Speaker 3: So if he was super considerate, he would have told
- 15:35Speaker 3: nobody because he would have said, hey, how would I
- 15:38Speaker 3: want to be treated? He right now is showing that
- 15:40Speaker 3: he wouldn't want to know about anybody else's relationship outside
- 15:43Speaker 3: of his own with Charity. He doesn't want to hear
- 15:44Speaker 3: about anything. He doesn't see anything, So he's not overly considered,
- 15:48Speaker 3: because if he was overly considerate, he wouldn't have said
- 15:50Speaker 3: anything after his kisses with her or his or her
- 15:55Speaker 3: he's the first. He loves talking. Mm hmmm.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Uh. Goes back with the Rose of course because she
- 16:04Speaker 2: and she responded just interesting to me because first she
- 16:09Speaker 2: was a little concerned, but then she was like, I
- 16:13Speaker 2: like that he's being honest, even though it's not exactly perfect.
- 16:18Speaker 2: That's what she said. She goes, what he's saying is honest,
- 16:20Speaker 2: but it's not perfect. But she appreciated that. So anyway,
- 16:24Speaker 2: that's kind of exactly what I'm saying, Like he's genuinely honest.
- 16:27Speaker 2: You can't get him on for that. And it comes
- 16:30Speaker 2: into play later on in the episode where there's definitely
- 16:36Speaker 2: uh more red flags. There's more red flags to come
- 16:39Speaker 2: for sure. Okay, So then we go over to the
- 16:44Speaker 2: Barbie date and the group date claps for the group date,
- 16:48Speaker 2: my favorite group date in quite some time, A group
- 16:50Speaker 2: date that I can look back on and say, I
- 16:52Speaker 2: remember what happened here. It wasn't all just a blur.
- 16:56Speaker 2: So what the guys do? They see Jojo and Jordan.
- 16:59Speaker 2: They have to dress up as different versions of Ken
- 17:03Speaker 2: than Sean. You know, doesn't have to do much because
- 17:05Speaker 2: Sean like actually looks like a Ken doll. It's like
- 17:08Speaker 2: kind of strange. And then they're gonna write a song,
- 17:11Speaker 2: and like we know, we've seen this scenario so many
- 17:14Speaker 2: times in the show. I actually never mind the writing
- 17:16Speaker 2: a song thing, because it's like one shows a lot
- 17:19Speaker 2: of personality. You're expressing your feelings for the lead, and
- 17:24Speaker 2: you're just like, I mean, like it's good for it's
- 17:27Speaker 2: good TV to see people just who can't sing sing.
- 17:30Speaker 2: I mean, that's why the auditions for American Idol were
- 17:32Speaker 2: so successful for so long. So the guys eventually get
- 17:36Speaker 2: on stage all dressed up and they all are such
- 17:39Speaker 2: good sports about it. Dutton goes first and he's like
- 17:43Speaker 2: sweet and we love him. And then the other standouts
- 17:49Speaker 2: are Wrestling Man. Do you remember wrestling band's name?
- 17:53Speaker 4: I believe it is John John Yeah, John B John
- 17:59Speaker 4: Bee because yes, so no, it's not John By Caleb B.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Caleb Oh yes, okay, so let's just say so. Other
- 18:11Speaker 2: standouts are definitely Caleb B. He's the wrestler and he's like,
- 18:15Speaker 2: I have a surprise up my sleeve, and the surprise
- 18:17Speaker 2: is that he can actually kind of carry a tune.
- 18:20Speaker 2: The crowd really loves it and the guys are super impressed.
- 18:23Speaker 2: That's another thing about this group date is like it's
- 18:25Speaker 2: definitely lighthearted and fun, and the guys are enjoying the
- 18:28Speaker 2: other performances. There's just no there's no hostility. And then
- 18:33Speaker 2: finally Ken Boy comes up Sean and he does a
- 18:39Speaker 2: great job being a Kendall, like he's definitely trying to
- 18:43Speaker 2: step into Ryan Gosling shoes. Yes, yeah, and he performs
- 18:47Speaker 2: to charity. It's all about her. It's less about like
- 18:50Speaker 2: you know, getting it over with and performing in front
- 18:52Speaker 2: of a huge audience, way bigger of an audience we
- 18:55Speaker 2: normally see, and it's actually about performing for charity. And
- 19:00Speaker 2: he ends up winning the one on one time and
- 19:02Speaker 2: during the one on one time, we don't really get
- 19:04Speaker 2: to see them speak at all. It's really just them
- 19:06Speaker 2: like kind of kissing on the boardwalk.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Which is frustrating, right because the one thing about Sean
- 19:11Speaker 3: that like, we.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Just seems like a character, Like he seems like a doll.
- 19:15Speaker 3: We don't know a lot about him. I mean, I
- 19:17Speaker 3: think he makes that statement during the episode where he says, like,
- 19:19Speaker 3: compared to everybody else, he doesn't have a lot of
- 19:20Speaker 3: time with her, and that's true. We don't know a
- 19:23Speaker 3: lot about him yet. We're seeing bits and pieces, but
- 19:26Speaker 3: he does. He feels like a character on the season
- 19:28Speaker 3: more than a player, And so we don't still get
- 19:31Speaker 3: to see them talk or we get to see their
- 19:32Speaker 3: connection at all. It's just more of a monologue of
- 19:35Speaker 3: them kissing, which is you know, I think it points
- 19:40Speaker 3: to me that he is not around very long, Like
- 19:41Speaker 3: I don't think he's there.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I don't think so either okay. So then
- 19:45Speaker 2: at the group day, of course, he walks in super obnoxiously.
- 19:50Speaker 2: I'm like, dude, are you trying to be a villain?
- 19:53Speaker 2: And he says something like, hey, guys, how are you.
- 19:56Speaker 2: I had a great time blah blah, and they're like,
- 20:00Speaker 2: did you really have to walk in so cocky? It's
- 20:03Speaker 2: not a good look. And then Charity comes in and
- 20:07Speaker 2: he wisks her away. What did you think about that move?
- 20:11Speaker 3: I mean, I think it's I think it was a
- 20:12Speaker 3: good given the moment, I am upset because one of
- 20:15Speaker 3: the guys said something along the lines that it asked
- 20:18Speaker 3: if Sean was an only child. Yeah, I mean really
- 20:22Speaker 3: really made men I'm an only child a slice of
- 20:25Speaker 3: bumble pie. I said, you know what, back on, don't throw.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Nothing to do with it.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Yeah, you had nothing to do with it. That was
- 20:32Speaker 3: really what I was focused on at that point. I
- 20:33Speaker 3: was fuming. Guys.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I was thinking about the firefighter, who's like definitely like
- 20:38Speaker 2: a classic manly man, and he was like, I could
- 20:40Speaker 2: build a fire I can. I don't know what he
- 20:44Speaker 2: was like, He's like that guy could take you to
- 20:46Speaker 2: a country club. It's like, okay, no.
- 20:48Speaker 3: One thing that we need to point out through this
- 20:52Speaker 3: this scene, I guess is and I want to hear
- 20:55Speaker 3: your opinion, but it was something that I was feeling
- 20:57Speaker 3: like I was noticing at now really early on in
- 20:59Speaker 3: this season, is this group of guys, uh you know,
- 21:02Speaker 3: we saw man Niwan. We said, I think that it's
- 21:04Speaker 3: going to be characters. They're going to be really involved,
- 21:06Speaker 3: They're going to care a lot about the process. I
- 21:07Speaker 3: think that's all true. But they're all there's there's not all.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Many of them are showing a very protective and a
- 21:14Speaker 3: very kind of confrontational side. I feel like with each
- 21:19Speaker 3: other at this point, Like usually still in week three,
- 21:21Speaker 3: everybody is best friends. Everybody is you know, getting along,
- 21:24Speaker 3: everybody's by ay, and then it's week four and five
- 21:27Speaker 3: you get some like drama coming in a week three,
- 21:31Speaker 3: I feel like the drama maybe hasn't been as heightened
- 21:34Speaker 3: that as we watch the episode this point, the drama
- 21:38Speaker 3: is building. There's many moments that could have erupted, especially
- 21:42Speaker 3: kind of with the braids and the Shaans and even
- 21:45Speaker 3: Adrian kind of speaking on how I did. A lot
- 21:48Speaker 3: of people have been very oysterous on on their on
- 21:53Speaker 3: them being upset.
- 21:53Speaker 2: You're right, I also s vibe that like they're going
- 21:57Speaker 2: to clear it, like once the Braden's gone, of once
- 22:00Speaker 2: Sean's gone. It's just kind of kind of clear and
- 22:03Speaker 2: there's not going to be any drama, especially when you
- 22:06Speaker 2: see those scenes to the next episode and teaser, seems
- 22:09Speaker 2: like all the drama is going to be like turmoil
- 22:11Speaker 2: within herself.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Yeah, so you think the drama this season is going
- 22:14Speaker 3: to be weeks through three and then four on is
- 22:19Speaker 3: more of the love story. I like that, I would hope.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's what's going to happen. So the
- 22:26Speaker 2: rest of the group day is also enjoyed it. She
- 22:29Speaker 2: had cute moments with Tanner talking about, you know, being
- 22:34Speaker 2: a teacher. She talked to Michael about how she likes it.
- 22:38Speaker 2: She doesn't like they don't have to like put a
- 22:40Speaker 2: lot of pressure into their conversations. And then of course
- 22:44Speaker 2: there is like that beautiful moment with Dutton where I
- 22:46Speaker 2: just wanted to be like, guess what, guys, you should
- 22:49Speaker 2: all go home. Dutton is definitely going to be the
- 22:52Speaker 2: last guy here. They have like this really special connection
- 22:56Speaker 2: and he said that like in previous relationships, he's always
- 23:01Speaker 2: been like the one that is like more of like
- 23:03Speaker 2: the teacher role, and this is like the first relationship
- 23:06Speaker 2: where he feels like he has a lot to learn
- 23:08Speaker 2: from Charity.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Bill. Did you see this connection coming? Because I feel
- 23:22Speaker 3: like even when we talked to Charity last week, but
- 23:24Speaker 3: we still hadn't ben shown.
- 23:26Speaker 2: She didn't say him right. I was watching this saying,
- 23:30Speaker 2: did she name Dutton at the top as her four who?
- 23:34Speaker 2: I asked it like leaving week two? Who she was
- 23:36Speaker 2: thinking of? Now? Did she not mention him because it's
- 23:40Speaker 2: she doesn't want to give anything away? Possibly, yes, she
- 23:45Speaker 2: was thinking about him.
- 23:46Speaker 3: I mean, I think they've had moments when maybe we
- 23:48Speaker 3: haven't seen where their connection has gotten stronger as weeks
- 23:52Speaker 3: have gone on. But this is kind of I mean,
- 23:54Speaker 3: this will be a pivotal point as we look back
- 23:56Speaker 3: on the season where we finally get to see Charity
- 23:59Speaker 3: in Dunton, and I think fans, viewers, all of us
- 24:02Speaker 3: will be watching them very closely every interaction from here
- 24:06Speaker 3: on out because we're like, this is good.
- 24:09Speaker 2: It was weird that he said something about competency and
- 24:13Speaker 2: like she's so competent, and it's just weird because yesterday
- 24:17Speaker 2: in the Q and A with Tom Cruise, he said
- 24:20Speaker 2: that when he's casting movies. He looks for, okay, the
- 24:24Speaker 2: actors to be competent, and he made a big deal
- 24:27Speaker 2: about like that word, and it really resonated with me
- 24:30Speaker 2: and Jared. All Right, so moving on, this is the
- 24:36Speaker 2: best TV. This is the stuff that we love to
- 24:38Speaker 2: see on The Bachelor when it's not the actual tense romance.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Warwick and Charity's one on one. We thought going into
- 24:50Speaker 2: this date, I think this is a collective wee because
- 24:53Speaker 2: Charity said that Warwick was with her Top four last
- 24:57Speaker 2: week with her interview with us, and so I'm like, oh,
- 25:02Speaker 2: this date's gonna go so well. He's very cute. They
- 25:06Speaker 2: go to a carnival and they have nothing to speak of.
- 25:10Speaker 2: The guy can't carry a conversation. I'm wondering how much
- 25:14Speaker 2: was editing because they're eating ice cream cones silently. He
- 25:19Speaker 2: can't come up with a word from what he brings
- 25:22Speaker 2: to a relationship. He can't discuss his pass relationships feel
- 25:29Speaker 2: so bad. And also he was exhausted. But that doesn't
- 25:32Speaker 2: excuse anything, but it gave us great entertainment. And Warwick,
- 25:35Speaker 2: I think that you're probably a really nice guy. Just
- 25:38Speaker 2: think that you don't have a lot of experience in data,
- 25:40Speaker 2: and you are very far away from being ready. Oh
- 25:42Speaker 2: oh my gosh, Ben, what about the part where he
- 25:45Speaker 2: says he says he's been in two relationships, But then
- 25:49Speaker 2: he goes, I guess I'm just kind of inexperienced in
- 25:52Speaker 2: all of this, and I don't know, like I don't
- 25:55Speaker 2: know like when i'd ever be ready to like be
- 25:58Speaker 2: in a series of jump into a relationship. He says, like,
- 26:01Speaker 2: I'm not one to jump into relationships.
- 26:04Speaker 3: It's like it's cringey cringing. Not because it's unfair. And again,
- 26:10Speaker 3: I don't blame the dude for saying that and feeling that,
- 26:12Speaker 3: but don't come on this show and then going on
- 26:15Speaker 3: one on one and possibly learn how to phrase that
- 26:18Speaker 3: a little differently. I just looked this up. I want
- 26:21Speaker 3: to I remember this. He describes himself his Bachelor biography
- 26:28Speaker 3: the adorably awkward. Oh wait, no, maybe the show. Actually
- 26:33Speaker 3: I think the show describes him as adorably awkward, so
- 26:37Speaker 3: he might have the show. Yeah, he is. He's very awkward.
- 26:42Speaker 3: He definitely comes off to me as a type of
- 26:45Speaker 3: guy who's good looking and people probably try to set
- 26:49Speaker 3: him up all the time and it's just never worked.
- 26:51Speaker 3: And they don't ever understand why, and then they're going
- 26:54Speaker 3: to watch this episode and be like, that is why
- 26:56Speaker 3: it never works, because he's not ready and he doesn't
- 26:59Speaker 3: have any game. He's just not a conversation.
- 27:02Speaker 2: How old is he?
- 27:04Speaker 3: Twenty seven?
- 27:04Speaker 2: Twenty seven? I was gonna say he was probably one
- 27:07Speaker 2: of the younger ones around twenty four, not that like
- 27:09Speaker 2: three years is huge, but those three years are kind
- 27:11Speaker 2: of big. Wow, Well, sweet guy, probably, I would love
- 27:18Speaker 2: to I think he was casted for a moment like this,
- 27:21Speaker 2: though they definitely knew they were going to get some
- 27:24Speaker 2: fantastically awkward one on one from him.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it's also probably why he was I don't want
- 27:28Speaker 3: on one so early, I imagine. I remember that word
- 27:33Speaker 3: fall asleep during this date.
- 27:35Speaker 2: We fell asleep at the end during his exit interview.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Okay, that's what I found.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, he was yawning. I don't know, was that
- 27:41Speaker 2: for real? For real? I know that he said he
- 27:43Speaker 2: was tired and he was yawning during the interview, But
- 27:46Speaker 2: you're telling me you actually fell asleep in the car
- 27:49Speaker 2: that granted it could have been three am, very common,
- 27:52Speaker 2: and I.
- 27:52Speaker 3: Fell asleep during like ITMS when I was the.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Bachelor you fell asleep in the middle of the just
- 27:58Speaker 2: so tired and happen.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Now letting you out until you just stay secrewed. I'm
- 28:02Speaker 3: done and you just fall asleep.
- 28:04Speaker 2: You can fall asleep sitting up.
- 28:05Speaker 3: I cannot sleep there for the rest of the night.
- 28:10Speaker 2: That's so funny, all right. So the other big thing
- 28:13Speaker 2: that we have to discuss before getting into the cocktail
- 28:15Speaker 2: party is Brandon is sitting around the guy with the
- 28:18Speaker 2: guys at the hotel room and he says, I don't
- 28:23Speaker 2: know that I'm ready to get engaged after all this.
- 28:27Speaker 2: He says this to them, and then I thought that
- 28:31Speaker 2: it was clear that he didn't have doubts about charity,
- 28:37Speaker 2: but that he doubted being able to engage get engaged.
- 28:41Speaker 2: He's like, I don't understand how you guys are feeling
- 28:44Speaker 2: confident in being able to get down on one knee
- 28:46Speaker 2: at the end of this after we haven't dated at
- 28:50Speaker 2: all without anyone else involved. And yes, annoying because like you,
- 28:57Speaker 2: that's the show and you need to be comfortable with
- 28:59Speaker 2: the formula blah blah blah going into it. But at
- 29:02Speaker 2: the same time, it's not a crazy thing to say.
- 29:04Speaker 2: And I don't think that he's doubting charity at all.
- 29:09Speaker 2: I think he's doubting getting into.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Everything.
- 29:14Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, but this is so true.
- 29:18Speaker 2: And even the other guys were defending this because they
- 29:21Speaker 2: got annoyed when Aaron B at the cocktail party goes
- 29:24Speaker 2: up and says, he says, verbatim, he's not sure how
- 29:27Speaker 2: he feels about you. That's wasn't what the that's not
- 29:30Speaker 2: what he said. As far as what we heard, he said,
- 29:33Speaker 2: I'm not sure about getting engaged to you. Now, I'm sorry.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I told you I was playing Devil's advocate a lot,
- 29:39Speaker 2: but I actually feel strongly about this one. He never
- 29:42Speaker 2: said he was doubting his feelings for charity. He was
- 29:45Speaker 2: just doubting an engagement.
- 29:47Speaker 3: But you have definitely taken Brad's side in most situations here,
- 29:50Speaker 3: which I think is adorable. Here's the part about this
- 29:56Speaker 3: that makes me the most frustrated. Actually, it has nothing
- 30:00Speaker 3: do with Braden and uh, it really has nothing to
- 30:03Speaker 3: do with what he said. It's that somebody who is
- 30:06Speaker 3: such a front runner, who should be a stable, consistent
- 30:12Speaker 3: force on this show for charity, Aaron B takes it
- 30:16Speaker 3: upon himself to say something.
- 30:18Speaker 2: For sure, Oh you like you don't like that.
- 30:20Speaker 3: I don't like it because I feel like he's stooping
- 30:23Speaker 3: down to a level that he doesn't need to say.
- 30:25Speaker 3: He doesn't need to be this guy this season. He
- 30:27Speaker 3: doesn't need to care what anybody else is saying, because
- 30:30Speaker 3: it's really his relationship Charity that's going to be strong.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Already is strong. That is that is going to be
- 30:37Speaker 3: a significant that's going to be significant, and the storylines
- 30:40Speaker 3: moving forward. Don't want Aaron b be doing this. This
- 30:44Speaker 3: would be similar in my mind to any lead that
- 30:47Speaker 3: we've seen in the past on The Bachelorette, this guy
- 30:52Speaker 3: being the you know reasons please.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Well, let's we bring it back to like kind of
- 30:59Speaker 2: a Nick versus John.
- 31:00Speaker 3: A little bit. It'd be similar. But this is still early.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Is this going to happen again? Is this the role
- 31:08Speaker 3: he's going to take on? Does he feel like he
- 31:10Speaker 3: needs to not only protect himself but also Charity and
- 31:14Speaker 3: so as a result he is the one tell saying things.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Now he's going to get that kind of be known
- 31:20Speaker 3: for that in the house, which it does happen, right,
- 31:22Speaker 3: people will hear him say this, and now they're going
- 31:24Speaker 3: to be more careful around him when he should just
- 31:26Speaker 3: be sitting back being like you guys, you do what
- 31:28Speaker 3: you gotta do, you wreck this whole thing. I'm just here.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Yeah. I just want to also add that, like, I
- 31:34Speaker 2: really do think it's lame that Brayden is like I
- 31:39Speaker 2: don't know if I can get through this, because that's
- 31:42Speaker 2: also just like about him. It's just like I can't
- 31:46Speaker 2: get he obviously doesn't like her enough if he doesn't
- 31:49Speaker 2: think he can get through it. That's my thought. You'd
- 31:50Speaker 2: be able to get through anything for the person that
- 31:52Speaker 2: you think you're meant to be with. Yeah, OK, right,
- 31:56Speaker 2: So anything else you want to talk about as far
- 31:59Speaker 2: as the cocktail party, because it's mainly the guys being
- 32:07Speaker 2: more so annoyed at Aaron Bee for even.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Bringing a similar story that we see most seasons where
- 32:12Speaker 3: they're just set that somebody has to be the person
- 32:15Speaker 3: that brings up drama because it does distract from everybody
- 32:17Speaker 3: else's conversation. And I don't think Aaron b should be
- 32:22Speaker 3: that guy. I hope he doesn't continue to be this guy,
- 32:25Speaker 3: but we're upset with him. There isn't anything that really
- 32:28Speaker 3: stands out other than the fact that I would just
- 32:30Speaker 3: say Braiden needs.
- 32:31Speaker 2: To go yeah, well he doesn't got no, but he.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Needs to go because we're not going to move on
- 32:38Speaker 3: Braiden kind of being the thorn and everybody's side until
- 32:43Speaker 3: he's gone. Like people are still gonna it's gonna be
- 32:47Speaker 3: the week, but I'm saying, we're just going to continue
- 32:50Speaker 3: to have this. Is Braiden here for the reasons? Is
- 32:52Speaker 3: he committed to her? Does he like her? Does he
- 32:54Speaker 3: care about her? Why is it? Does he say the
- 32:56Speaker 3: things he says? At this point, he's so far done
- 33:00Speaker 3: and gone from this group. He'll never recover because they're
- 33:04Speaker 3: gonna be out to just get him gone quickly, like
- 33:07Speaker 3: he has stung himself into a hole. I hope the
- 33:11Speaker 3: other guys don't go down with them. That's that's the
- 33:13Speaker 3: point I would bring in.
- 33:15Speaker 2: I don't think they will. He probably will continue this
- 33:20Speaker 2: argument with Aaron b next week and then he'll be
- 33:22Speaker 2: the one to leave. Uh did you feel like she
- 33:26Speaker 2: was gonna take away his rose at the very end?
- 33:28Speaker 3: I don't think I did. I did just after talking
- 33:32Speaker 3: with Charity the interview, I thought she did. I just
- 33:37Speaker 3: thought I thought she had something where she was like, no,
- 33:39Speaker 3: I'm done, I'm over it. I'm gonna make these decisions.
- 33:42Speaker 3: I just I thought from the tone of how the
- 33:44Speaker 3: interview went when she talked about the rest of the season,
- 33:45Speaker 3: I thought she just did based on what she said. Yes,
- 33:49Speaker 3: but watching this I did not our interviewed.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well we shall see next week. Sneak peek.
- 33:59Speaker 2: I feel like the big one, the biggest standout, is
- 34:03Speaker 2: probably done and saying that he's on top of the world.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Hopefully we see a one on one with them. I'd
- 34:11Speaker 2: really like to say that.
- 34:12Speaker 3: I agree, and we see more of Braiden fighting and arguing,
- 34:14Speaker 3: and Braiden is still doing what he does, which at
- 34:20Speaker 3: this point is simily entertained to me, honestly, kind of
- 34:23Speaker 3: like that he's around. It's kind of funny to me.
- 34:27Speaker 2: He's just a character.
- 34:30Speaker 3: At this point, and like it's kind of intriguing for
- 34:32Speaker 3: me to see what he's going to say. And really,
- 34:36Speaker 3: and I don't think he meant to if he tried
- 34:38Speaker 3: to do this. I mean, there's people in the past
- 34:39Speaker 3: that have tried to get under the other contestants skin
- 34:43Speaker 3: just to be under their skin and like to annoy him.
- 34:46Speaker 3: I don't think he's meaning too, but he is so
- 34:48Speaker 3: far in all of their heads at this point, and
- 34:49Speaker 3: I don't. I mean, I'd give him some credit if
- 34:51Speaker 3: I thought he this intentionally. It is kind of interesting
- 34:55Speaker 3: to see how much he can wrap there's just by
- 34:59Speaker 3: being like not even like mean just goofy mm.
