- 0:00What is the worry you keep returning to, even
- 0:04when you try to rest? You do not you'd have to
- 0:07hide it while you pray. Take a quiet breath,
- 0:12bring that concern before God, and let us begin.
- 0:18Heavenly Father, I come to you with a heart that
- 0:21needs rest. I have spent so much time thinking
- 0:25about what might happen, what I should have done,
- 0:29and what I cannot change. For these next few
- 0:33moments, help me become still enough. to pray
- 0:37honestly. You know the concern that follows me
- 0:42through the day. You know why a simple conversation
- 0:45can leave me unsettled, why certain memories
- 0:49still hurt, and why tomorrow sometimes feels
- 0:53so heavy. I bring these things into your presence
- 0:57without trying to make them sound smaller than
- 1:00they are. Father, help me recognize what is within
- 1:07my responsibility. Give me courage to address
- 1:11the conversation I have avoided. Patience to
- 1:15finish the work before me. Humility to ask for
- 1:19support when I have done what I reasonably can.
- 1:23Teach me to stop searching for one more thing
- 1:27to control. Forgive me for the moments when fear
- 1:32has shaped the way I treat people. Sometimes
- 1:36I become impatient because I feel uncertain.
- 1:41Sometimes I withdraw because I do not know how
- 1:45to explain what is happening inside me. Help
- 1:51me find honest, gentle words. Let the people
- 1:57who love me understand how they can help. Lord
- 2:03Jesus, when I think about your invitation to
- 2:06the weary, help me receive it. I come with un
- 2:12-fifth inch responsibilities and unanswered questions.
- 2:18Teach me to rest in your love while those questions
- 2:22remain. Bring peace into the ordinary places
- 2:27of my life, into the room where I wake up already
- 2:32worried, into the journey to work, into the quiet
- 2:38moments. When my thoughts grow loud, help me
- 2:42remember that I can pause, breathe, and turn
- 2:49toward you. I pray for my home. Help us speak
- 2:56with kindness, especially when we are tired.
- 3:02Give us patience with each other's limitations.
- 3:06Where there has been tension, open a way for
- 3:11an honest conversation. Where an apology is needed,
- 3:17give us the willingness to offer it without excuses.
- 3:24I place my loved ones before you. Some are facing
- 3:29burdens I can see. and others are carrying things
- 3:34they have never mentioned. Help me notice them.
- 3:42Remind me to make the call, ask the question,
- 3:47and listen carefully to the answer. For those
- 3:53who are ill, I ask for comfort, appropriate care,
- 3:59and strength through treatment. For those who
- 4:04are grieving, provide companionship through the
- 4:08lonely hours. For those who are, help them, practical
- 4:17support, and the opportunity to rest. Father,
- 4:24I also bring you my disappointment. Their prayers,
- 4:29I hope would be answered differently. Their plans
- 4:34I worked hard for that did not succeed. Help
- 4:39me grieve those losses honestly. Give me wisdom
- 4:45to understand what I can learn and patience with
- 4:52the healing that takes time. Keep disappointment
- 4:59from closing my heart to everything that is still
- 5:06possible. Help me receive kindness. Let me enjoy
- 5:15a meal, a conversation, a moment of laughter
- 5:21without feeling. and must solve my whole life
- 5:26first. Show me how to care for the body and mind.
- 5:33You have entrusted to me. Help me recognize when
- 5:37I need sleep, nourishment, movement, or the guidance
- 5:44of someone qualified to help. Give me the humility.
- 5:50Accept care, as readily as I offer. The same
- 5:57worry returns. Help me respond with patience.
- 6:03Remind me of the next useful action. If there
- 6:09is no action needed in that moment, help me return
- 6:14the attention to what is happening around me.
- 6:19I thank you for the people who have stayed beside
- 6:21me. for the ordinary provisions that have carried
- 6:25me through this day, for moments of strength
- 6:32I didn't expect, and for opportunities to begin
- 6:36again, after a mistake. Tonight, or whenever
- 6:44I next lie down to rest, help me put aside the
- 6:48need to review every conversation, and predict
- 6:54every outcome. Let me acknowledge what remains
- 6:59unfinished, and allow myself to rest. Tomorrow,
- 7:09guide me toward the responsibilities that matter,
- 7:13and approach them with a clearer mind, and a
- 7:17kinder heart. Give me courage for difficult tasks.
- 7:22I'm gratitude for simple blessing. Here's the
- 7:29concern I've been holding so tightly.
