- 0:34Speaker 2: How are you.
- 0:35Speaker 3: I'm good. I'm good. I had to sow the longest
- 0:37Speaker 3: weekend that went by the fastest. Do you ever just
- 0:40Speaker 3: stack your weekend like this? This, this, this, this all
- 0:43Speaker 3: day Saturday, all day Sunday. And I just sat in
- 0:45Speaker 3: my seat here and I was like, we are we
- 0:47Speaker 3: just here, we are we just eating popcorn from Galaxy Theaters.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Cannas just said something crazy to me. She goes, I
- 0:52Speaker 2: don't have a free day until May thirty. First.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Yeah, one hundred percent. May Somber is like the realest
- 0:57Speaker 3: situation for moms on them. Yeah, we call it May
- 1:01Speaker 3: Somber because it's just like events, events, events, things going
- 1:05Speaker 3: on into school. Year's Spirit Day, you know, Teacher Appreciation
- 1:08Speaker 3: Week is this week. Bring all the things. I'm just like,
- 1:12Speaker 3: I overscheduled myself on top of that.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I know, but you used to be able to say no,
- 1:16Speaker 2: yeah I.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Did, But I'm saying yes because it's things for my
- 1:20Speaker 3: family or things for my son. Like none of this
- 1:22Speaker 3: is like my my thing other than we're going to
- 1:25Speaker 3: the Rangers game next weekend. That's my thing. But it's
- 1:28Speaker 3: on Mother's Day, and so I just I've stacked it all,
- 1:31Speaker 3: stacked it all back to back. We went to NASCAR
- 1:33Speaker 3: yesterday at Texas Motor Speedway.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Oh was that fun?
- 1:37Speaker 3: Really fun? Yeah, but that's a whole day thing too,
- 1:40Speaker 3: and that for my son.
- 1:41Speaker 2: So it could be like me start saying no more. Yeah,
- 1:44Speaker 2: like no, I can't do it.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Well.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I excited this morning as I was looking for my
- 1:48Speaker 3: snacks and like you know, in a frenzy trying to
- 1:50Speaker 3: get out of the house on time in the dark.
- 1:52Speaker 3: That starting May thirty first, no June, nothing's happening. My
- 1:56Speaker 3: birthday is the last day of June. So nothing's happening
- 1:58Speaker 3: until my birthday unless anyone wants to do anything like that. Yeah,
- 2:02Speaker 3: so's show field trips?
- 2:03Speaker 2: Can we do a show field trip?
- 2:05Speaker 3: We'll all squeeze one in but they'll be last minute. Yeah,
- 2:07Speaker 3: if I'm in the mood, we'll do it.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I like that. Yeah, I like it. I like spontaneous though. Yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 2: so that's good, but I know everyone can't be spontaneous.
- 2:16Speaker 2: It's tough when you got kids and family.
- 2:18Speaker 3: A good mix of planning and spontaneous.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah that's true. Well good, I'm glad you had
- 2:22Speaker 2: a good weekend. Everything was fun.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Yeah. Thanks.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure who was here. He's in a frenzy today.
- 2:27Speaker 2: What is going on? I know is Poo is so
- 2:30Speaker 2: all over the place this morning. He's making me. He's
- 2:32Speaker 2: making me anxious.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Well because the phones are tripping and I'm trying to
- 2:36Speaker 1: get a hold on those.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Yeah, the door here was tripping.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah, the request lines. You're talking about the request of
- 2:41Speaker 2: the request lines, but I can't.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Uh.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Usually when I get here, I check them out, make
- 2:46Speaker 1: sure they work.
- 2:47Speaker 2: They worked. Hello, Okay, continue on.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Well, right before the show started, my computer restarts and everything,
- 2:55Speaker 1: and I'm like, what's going on?
- 2:57Speaker 2: It never has done that.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Yeah, so it blacked everything out and kick back on.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I test the phones again. Then I can't hear anything.
- 3:04Speaker 1: So I'm like, so I'm like all over the place.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I can sell. It's making me nervous. You got
- 3:09Speaker 2: to be like a duck. Be like a duck. What
- 3:11Speaker 2: does a duck do? A duck on the surface looks
- 3:14Speaker 2: calm and everything's fine. Underwater, his legs are like, you
- 3:19Speaker 2: gotta start looking calm on the surface.
- 3:21Speaker 3: We can see his legs.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Problem, That's what I'm saying. I don't want to see
- 3:28Speaker 2: his legs, Cane. That's the exact point. I don't want
- 3:34Speaker 2: to see who's legs is my entire point, right. I
- 3:37Speaker 2: want him to be like, Hey, you're the producer, just
- 3:40Speaker 2: don't freak out.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Calm down, keep calm and carry on. Wasn't that like
- 3:43Speaker 3: the early two thousands.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Because you freak out, I'm gonna freak out.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Okay, you know, how are your legs, Billy?
- 3:51Speaker 2: I already got my shoes off there. No, my legs
- 3:58Speaker 2: aren't even movings, aren't even moving.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I know.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know if that's a good thing
- 4:03Speaker 2: or not. I will say this though, I'm excited because
- 4:07Speaker 2: today we do tradio radio, which you know, I love.
- 4:11Speaker 2: I love doing tradio radio. Now we've done it before,
- 4:15Speaker 2: and we've done it for things, you know, like concerts,
- 4:16Speaker 2: who knows. I've done it over the years many times.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I mean a lot of times, and I've gotten crazy stuff.
- 4:21Speaker 2: The last time at effect I think we did tradio
- 4:23Speaker 2: radio was when we got to Go.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Yeah it was that for pink tickets?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Was it for pink tickets? I think you're right? Yeah? Wow.
- 4:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:31Speaker 3: We got Billy the Goat.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Billy the goat who lives and walks Ahatchie with
- 4:35Speaker 2: his foster parents.
- 4:36Speaker 1: A fainting goats.
- 4:41Speaker 2: He's like me. His legs are hairy and he faints.
- 4:47Speaker 2: But we got nidos to give away, which I mean,
- 4:49Speaker 2: everybody wants these things. I don't get it, but it
- 4:53Speaker 2: doesn't matter if I get it. Yeah, it doesn't matter
- 4:55Speaker 2: because it's viral. People are waiting in lines. We've got
- 4:57Speaker 2: the mystery dumplings to give away.
- 4:59Speaker 3: I squitched and when you squish it in your hand,
- 5:01Speaker 3: you'll get it. If you haven't like squashed it, you'll
- 5:04Speaker 3: get it.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I haven't. I have none to squish.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Well you need to squish one, all right. You understand
- 5:09Speaker 3: why people are crazy for these Well.
- 5:11Speaker 2: We're gonna be doing it every day this week. So
- 5:13Speaker 2: Tradio Radio starts at eight thirty. So start thinking about
- 5:16Speaker 2: what you would want to trade. I will say this,
- 5:19Speaker 2: it's fun to listen to, even if you don't want
- 5:20Speaker 2: to need it, right, it's fun to listen to. But
- 5:23Speaker 2: it doesn't have to be something expensive. People are like, well,
- 5:25Speaker 2: I don't know what to trade. It doesn't It's to
- 5:27Speaker 2: be something unique.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Something unique, and maybe something useful that one of us
- 5:30Speaker 3: might really you.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Know, I really need if you have a yacht on
- 5:34Speaker 2: Lake Lewisville. Yeah, that's fine. Yeah, we're exactly perfect. So
- 5:38Speaker 2: let's kick off the show right now.
- 5:40Speaker 5: As his top stories on the Tents with Billy the
- 5:42Speaker 5: Kids in the.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Morning only on the New Mixed one or two point nine.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Right and early out of Monday morning. Candice Lopez, what
- 5:49Speaker 2: is going on in our world?
- 5:50Speaker 3: Yeah, well, some serious news out of forty ID. They're
- 5:53Speaker 3: part of a multi agency investigation stemming from misconduct allegations
- 5:57Speaker 3: at Crosby Elementary School. So the principal, a teacher, and
- 6:01Speaker 3: a number of teachers' aids were let go and will
- 6:04Speaker 3: not be returning. That's according to the district. They're saying.
- 6:07Speaker 3: The teacher in question was hired back in October under
- 6:10Speaker 3: a name with a clean background check, but they later
- 6:13Speaker 3: learned that he actually had legally changed his name before
- 6:16Speaker 3: being hired by forty ISD, but he was facing charges
- 6:21Speaker 3: under his previous name, and I guess he was acquitted
- 6:25Speaker 3: in that case. But there are parents saying that that's
- 6:27Speaker 3: because the child involved was nonverbal and that that family
- 6:31Speaker 3: later moved away and never testified. But this is all
- 6:34Speaker 3: under investigation by forty police, CPS, and the state. They
- 6:39Speaker 3: haven't released specific details, but the families involved have been
- 6:42Speaker 3: contacted directly about this misconduct. But I'm hearing it could
- 6:46Speaker 3: be up to nine students that were involved in this.
- 6:49Speaker 3: I believe it was a first grade a special education teacher,
- 6:53Speaker 3: but there were aids and they're saying other staff who
- 6:55Speaker 3: witnessed this misconduct and didn't report it immediately and that's
- 6:59Speaker 3: why they were moved from their positions at the school.
- 7:01Speaker 2: So wait, so this guy got through the system by
- 7:04Speaker 2: changing his name correct and then was doing misconduct.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Yes, so we don't know what type, but yeah, so
- 7:13Speaker 3: the way that he was able to kind of slip
- 7:15Speaker 3: through the cracks in all of this, I mean huge
- 7:17Speaker 3: red flags. Yeah, for the principal, teacher, teacher's aides, a
- 7:20Speaker 3: number of you know, staff at this elementary school to
- 7:23Speaker 3: just be removed immediately like that. I mean, it's pretty serious.
- 7:26Speaker 3: So yeah, just thinking about everyone in forty because that's
- 7:29Speaker 3: got to be tough for families, tough for you know,
- 7:31Speaker 3: students at that school.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean and special education teacher.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it's awful.
- 7:37Speaker 2: What is going on?
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, So I'll keep you posted if there's any updates.
- 7:42Speaker 3: And we should talk about Spirit Airlines guys shutting down
- 7:45Speaker 3: Saturday morning and abruptly canceling service. Seventeen thousand workers lost
- 7:50Speaker 3: their jobs. They left travelers stranded. You know, as of
- 7:54Speaker 3: May twenty twenty four, I guess they operated just over
- 7:57Speaker 3: three thousand, three percent of the domestic flights, and this
- 8:00Speaker 3: month that number would have been around one person. But
- 8:04Speaker 3: there's all these movements online to save Spirit Airlines.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Do we really want that? Listen, I don't want anyone
- 8:11Speaker 2: to lose their job. No, I really don't. Then again,
- 8:15Speaker 2: I've flown Spirit once and I had the worst airline
- 8:18Speaker 2: experience of my entire life, right, literally canceled. Can't My
- 8:23Speaker 2: flight was canceled for no reason? No, not only First
- 8:26Speaker 2: of all, it was left early, right, then it was canceled.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Then the next day was canceled, and I dealt with
- 8:33Speaker 2: the rudest people I've ever dealt with your entire in
- 8:36Speaker 2: my entire life. So do I want to see people
- 8:38Speaker 2: lose their jobs?
- 8:39Speaker 4: No?
- 8:39Speaker 2: But is this just or is this just capitalism at play?
- 8:42Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 8:42Speaker 2: You know where I'm sorry, But the best businesses and
- 8:45Speaker 2: the worst businesses are going to sort themselves out.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Does the government need to come in and save everybody
- 8:50Speaker 2: all the time? I don't know.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, this was kind of a joke to
- 8:54Speaker 3: save Spirit online. But there's a website let's buy Spirit
- 8:58Speaker 3: air dot com and it says, you know, this website
- 9:00Speaker 3: I crashed because how many people went, you know, and
- 9:02Speaker 3: made pledges that they can't even take donations. At the moment,
- 9:05Speaker 3: I can't tell this is still a joke, but they're
- 9:08Speaker 3: claiming there have been over eighty eight million dollars pledged
- 9:11Speaker 3: already by one hundred and twenty four thousand people. But
- 9:15Speaker 3: it has been nice to see some of the other airlines,
- 9:18Speaker 3: you know, stepping up to help these customers up Spirit
- 9:20Speaker 3: that were stranded. And then I think Southwest actually they
- 9:23Speaker 3: Spirit had a guy who was retiring from their airline
- 9:27Speaker 3: and he ended up taking a Southwest flight, and so
- 9:29Speaker 3: they did the whole retirement ceremony for him and had
- 9:32Speaker 3: like the water thing that they do, you know, once
- 9:35Speaker 3: day landed, but they really treated him like he was,
- 9:37Speaker 3: you know, retiring from Southwest.
- 9:39Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I feel bad for the employees. Don't
- 9:41Speaker 2: get me wrong, the Spirit employees who lost their job,
- 9:43Speaker 2: and the pilots and every I do. So it's not funny.
- 9:47Speaker 2: But my friend the first time he's flown Spirit this weekend,
- 9:52Speaker 2: the first time ever. He literally is stuck in New Orleans.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Now because.
- 10:00Speaker 2: You're somewhere and all of a sudden, you say, your
- 10:03Speaker 2: ticket's going to be refunded. We don't exist anymore, right,
- 10:06Speaker 2: He's like, what do you mean?
- 10:07Speaker 3: Figure it out?
- 10:07Speaker 2: You don't exist. He's never flown it before.
- 10:10Speaker 3: That's insane.
- 10:11Speaker 2: And our friend who it's the same reason, our friendship
- 10:16Speaker 2: chip Al. He's the one who got me to fly
- 10:18Speaker 2: Spirit's dude, come on, man, it's cheap, it doesn't matter.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Get on, Yeah, it's fine, who cares. I've never had
- 10:25Speaker 2: a problem. He like works for Spirit Lok. Yeah, he's
- 10:28Speaker 2: the one that convinced our buddy to do And guess
- 10:30Speaker 2: what now he's driving back from New Orleans. Did you
- 10:33Speaker 2: see what they did in a df let the Spirit
- 10:35Speaker 2: get in DFW. No, they already made it a Spirit
- 10:37Speaker 2: Halloween store.
- 10:40Speaker 3: I did see the meme of the plane though, outfitted
- 10:42Speaker 3: in the Spirit. That's awful, It's hilarious. But real quick, guys.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Sources are saying Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitz could be
- 10:52Speaker 3: planning two weddings, possibly in London and one in New York.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Her dad, you know, Lenny Kravitz, lives in New York.
- 10:59Speaker 3: But uh, this is all happening really fast because I
- 11:01Speaker 3: don't even think we knew they were even dating until
- 11:03Speaker 3: August of last year. Yeah, unless they kept it super
- 11:06Speaker 3: low key.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Annoyed. I woke up and I saw this. I was
- 11:10Speaker 2: maybe I'm just a little bit crabby. I'm a snap
- 11:12Speaker 2: out of it. Let me drink this coffee. But two
- 11:14Speaker 2: weddings annoyed me. Not why one wedding annoys me? What
- 11:18Speaker 2: do you need two weddings for?
- 11:19Speaker 3: Well, I guess for like his people. You know, he
- 11:22Speaker 3: wants a British wedding maybe and she wants you know,
- 11:24Speaker 3: an American or go there. Y'all have enough money, though
- 11:27Speaker 3: I don't understand why we would do that.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Just have one wedding and fly your people out to
- 11:31Speaker 2: see you. Right, I hope you have two divorces that
- 11:35Speaker 2: I plan on having two divorces. If you're gonna have
- 11:38Speaker 2: two weddings, have two divorces, you gonna go to both weddings.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I don't go to one.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Yeah, because if I'm in New York, I'm like, no,
- 11:44Speaker 3: I want to travel to London. But then London is
- 11:46Speaker 3: probably like, oh, no, I want to travel to New York. Yeah,
- 11:48Speaker 3: it's gonna be like everyone from the other city. Probably.
- 11:51Speaker 2: It must be nice to be so rich to have
- 11:53Speaker 2: two weddings. We can barely afford one. Yeah, amen, gas
- 11:56Speaker 2: price is so high you want me to fly to
- 11:57Speaker 2: the UK on spirit to see you? What come on
- 12:02Speaker 2: super Mad Today?
- 12:05Speaker 3: That those are your Texas top stories?
- 12:07Speaker 2: Shall we fake news? All right? I said Candace po.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Iquila, Why are you sweating?
- 12:16Speaker 2: Because, by the way, I love the Pooh's video of
- 12:19Speaker 2: him us praying in with the tequila went viral. I
- 12:23Speaker 2: love it.
- 12:23Speaker 3: I cannot believe.
- 12:25Speaker 2: So if you haven't seen it, Pooh, well we told
- 12:27Speaker 2: him that it was one shot of tequila, two shots
- 12:30Speaker 2: of water and don't make a face, and we'll try
- 12:33Speaker 2: to guess which one, and he did it. Of course,
- 12:35Speaker 2: all three shots were tequila. It went viral online and
- 12:40Speaker 2: I'm dying at some of the comments. It's at Mix
- 12:43Speaker 2: one or two nine FM. You gotta go see it.
- 12:45Speaker 2: And you know what mixes Instagram is so close to
- 12:48Speaker 2: ten thousand followers.
- 12:49Speaker 3: I want to find ten thousand followers going to be.

- 13:10Speaker 2: People would love that. I mean, who's fun to hang
- 13:12Speaker 2: out with?
- 13:12Speaker 4: It is?

- 14:31Speaker 2: is the fake? Headline? Candice Lopez? Would you like to

- 14:38Speaker 3: I think I'll go first today. This is really hard.

- 14:49Speaker 2: lock it in. It is officially locked in. Okay, producer, pooh,

- 15:10Speaker 2: Let's catch it all right, let's lock that in. And
- 15:11Speaker 2: you sure you want to lock that in?
- 15:13Speaker 1: Yeah, ain't nobody trying to trade his wife? Like, let's
- 15:15Speaker 1: lock it in.
- 15:16Speaker 2: It is locked in? And the winner today starting off
- 15:19Speaker 2: his week with a win. It's producer pooh, oh my god,
- 15:26Speaker 2: he's not winning here, but I'm not winning behind the scenes.
- 15:31Speaker 2: But really fake news, he's winning congratulations poo. Yeah, so
- 15:36Speaker 2: that story, it is a fake. It had me fooled though.
- 15:40Speaker 2: I saw this story and I'm like, what is this
- 15:41Speaker 2: guy doing? And it looked like a whole entire story
- 15:44Speaker 2: that was written up where this guy had a contract
- 15:46Speaker 2: he brought his wife in trying to trade her for
- 15:48Speaker 2: a bass boat, and I was like, what is going on?
- 15:51Speaker 2: And then I finally realized it was fake, But it
- 15:53Speaker 2: had me for a minute. Wow, I'd do some serious
- 15:56Speaker 2: investigating games all right. Yeah, this story one of the
- 16:00Speaker 2: real stories. A Texas ice cream shop is serving crawfish
- 16:04Speaker 2: flavored ice cream is a real story. This is just
- 16:08Speaker 2: oh man, I don't get it. Yeah, Texas ice cream
- 16:10Speaker 2: shop is going viral for serving crawfish flavored ice cream,
- 16:13Speaker 2: one of the most unusual food trends right now. The
- 16:15Speaker 2: dessert blends sweet ice cream with buttery garlicky Cajun seasoning
- 16:19Speaker 2: inspired by a traditional crawfish boil, creating a mix of sweet, salty,
- 16:24Speaker 2: and spicy flavors. The shop tops each scoop with a
- 16:28Speaker 2: whole crawfish, and customers are even encouraged to use the
- 16:31Speaker 2: shell as a spoon. Despite how bizarre it sounds, the
- 16:35Speaker 2: flavor has become a fan favorite During crawfish season, it
- 16:38Speaker 2: often sells out due to high demand the places in Houston.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I looked it up. It's called Red Circle, Red Circle
- 16:44Speaker 2: ice Cream Shop. So if you're down there and you
- 16:47Speaker 2: want to throw up there, you go.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I like crawfish too, Yeah too, since I had it,
- 16:52Speaker 3: but I remember liking them.
- 16:53Speaker 2: I was just thinking about that. I'm like, you know what,
- 16:55Speaker 2: I know everything about Cannis, but I don't know if
- 16:58Speaker 2: you like crawfish.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I went to one Fish Boril back in college. Yeah,
- 17:02Speaker 3: my friend Audre her dad used.
- 17:04Speaker 6: To do it.
- 17:04Speaker 2: It's good.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I remember it being good. That's I don't remember
- 17:07Speaker 3: a whole lot.
- 17:07Speaker 2: I need to take you right up the street. One
- 17:09Speaker 2: of the best places right here.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Nate's.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Yes, Nate's Seafood.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Oh sounds good.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I used to go there back in the day. I
- 17:16Speaker 2: don't know if he's still around, but I love that guy, Nate.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Nate would get blasted in his bar. He did something
- 17:23Speaker 2: that was so smart. I saw. I witness this first hand.
- 17:26Speaker 2: He got drunk at his own bar, right, and I'm like, oh,
- 17:29Speaker 2: he can't drive, and he's like, no, I can't drive.
- 17:32Speaker 2: He called Triple A to say his car was broke
- 17:34Speaker 2: down and had it towed to his house so it
- 17:38Speaker 2: would be there when he woke up. Sounds like wow,
- 17:44Speaker 2: smart life, right exactly. Okay. Next story, Zebra escapes from
- 17:50Speaker 2: zoo turns out to be a donkey painted with white stripes.
- 17:53Speaker 2: What so this happened in Armenia. Yeah, Monday morning, I
- 17:57Speaker 2: guess it was some morning. Everybody woke up and they
- 17:59Speaker 2: were like, eight was zebra has escaped the city zoo.
- 18:01Speaker 2: It was roaming around one of the Capitol's busiest streets.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Police and emergency services were dispatched. They're trying to figure
- 18:07Speaker 2: out what's going on. The zebra was quickly corralled and
- 18:10Speaker 2: tied up by zoo's staff and bystanders. Only one problem.
- 18:15Speaker 2: It wasn't a zebra. It was a donkey that somebody
- 18:18Speaker 2: had painted with black and white stripes, and they took
- 18:23Speaker 2: it to the zoo. Outside of the zoo and people
- 18:26Speaker 2: were taking pictures with it. They were charging people to
- 18:29Speaker 2: take pictures with the donkey. They was painted like a
- 18:32Speaker 2: zebra and actually making money and people didn't even know.
- 18:36Speaker 2: I think I would know, Yeah, I mean for sure?
- 18:39Speaker 2: Or would I Then again, I don't know. I didn't
- 18:40Speaker 2: see a real life count until I was like twenty
- 18:42Speaker 2: one a point. Would I know?
- 18:45Speaker 3: Yeah, if somebody would know.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I mean, donkeys aren't Donkeys and zebras are pretty much
- 18:49Speaker 2: the same, right.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Have like the nice hair?
- 18:52Speaker 2: No, I don't think they have.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Nice Donkeys make the eawsome.
- 18:56Speaker 2: I mean you excuse me. You know when a donkey
- 18:58Speaker 2: makes his a little noise. Zebras eon, Yeah, what does
- 19:02Speaker 2: zebra sound like?
- 19:03Speaker 1: Zebra just does a like a like a it sounds
- 19:06Speaker 1: like it's gargle in his throat, like look it up.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Really, yeah, I've only seen them at Disney World.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Should we do guess that animals sound with? Pooh?
- 19:17Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 19:17Speaker 2: Okay? What does his zebra sound like?
- 19:19Speaker 6: Like?
- 19:20Speaker 1: It does like a gard It sounds like it's zebra
- 19:22Speaker 1: bird No, it just it just does like a weird
- 19:25Speaker 1: gurgle sound.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Is it bird man?
- 19:27Speaker 4: No?
- 19:29Speaker 2: Okay? So what is a donkey sounding?
- 19:30Speaker 5: Pop?
- 19:31Speaker 2: Uh? You know? Okay? Yeah, all right? When I see zebra,
- 19:39Speaker 2: you do zebra. When I say donkey, do donkey? Okay,
- 19:43Speaker 2: zebra donkey. I don't ever want to hear anybody say
- 19:50Speaker 2: who isn't talented? Okay, hopefully you're having a good morning.
- 19:54Speaker 2: NIX mixed one on two point nine and Bill at
- 19:55Speaker 2: a Kid Candy Slow Pants producer. Pooh, it's been a
- 19:58Speaker 2: mess over here. I'm not gonna lie. Definitely feels like
- 20:00Speaker 2: a Monday because, well, first of all, our AC is
- 20:04Speaker 2: not working right in here in this building, so we
- 20:06Speaker 2: have like a portable AC unit outside. It's blowing in here.
- 20:09Speaker 2: We had to shut that off because you've got to
- 20:11Speaker 2: go on the air. It'll pick it up. One two.
- 20:13Speaker 2: The request lines aren't working right. We're trying to figure
- 20:15Speaker 2: that out. Poo's and shambles because we're doing tradio radio
- 20:19Speaker 2: a little bit later on. We're kicking it off at
- 20:21Speaker 2: eight thirty. We got to have them right because we're
- 20:22Speaker 2: giving away nidos in mystery dumplings exactly. That's a big deal. Yeah,
- 20:27Speaker 2: it's a big I mean, I guess oh people want
- 20:29Speaker 2: them back.
- 20:30Speaker 3: We're waiting in line outside five below and that's why.
- 20:32Speaker 2: We do it, Yeah, to get these. We're not doing
- 20:34Speaker 2: it because we want them. We're doing it because we
- 20:36Speaker 2: know you want these, so we're trying to hook you up.
- 20:38Speaker 2: So we got something to give away all week eight thirty.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Tradio radio trade is something. Last time, we got a goat.
- 20:43Speaker 2: It doesn't have to be a live animal. It could be. Yeah,
- 20:46Speaker 2: but we'll do that at eight thirty. We'll get the
- 20:47Speaker 2: phones work. And I'm totally confident producer Pooh. Yeah, by
- 20:53Speaker 2: the way, speaking of live animals, producer Pooh might have
- 20:56Speaker 2: been right about something. Yeah, I know this is I
- 21:00Speaker 2: might have been right. Yeah, let me I know mark
- 21:03Speaker 2: the date. I'm okay. We were talking about zebras and
- 21:07Speaker 2: donkeys and Pooh said, now, what did you before you
- 21:10Speaker 2: get all excited. What did you say? A zebra sounds like? Again,
- 21:13Speaker 2: like it's gurgling.
- 21:14Speaker 1: It's like like that something like that.
- 21:20Speaker 2: If you want something to cheer you up on Monday morning,
- 21:23Speaker 2: just have Pooh come in and do animals sounds. Yeah,
- 21:26Speaker 2: it sounds like it's gurgling. So I had Candicce pull
- 21:28Speaker 2: up a what a zebra sounds like? Yeah, he's not
- 21:31Speaker 2: that far off. Let me let me be the wait
- 21:32Speaker 2: before I say he's right, let me hear yeah, this
- 21:34Speaker 2: is zebra. Yeah, I just yeah, oh, let's all right,
- 21:44Speaker 2: let's play a game. Is it you are the actual zebra? Okay,
- 21:54Speaker 2: all right, you're not that Okay, let me play because
- 21:57Speaker 2: I thought, well, donkeys and zebra's probably sound a lot. No, no,
- 22:01Speaker 2: how did you know what a zebra sounds like?
- 22:04Speaker 1: Because I watched Madagascar?
- 22:06Speaker 4: Is that how?
- 22:09Speaker 2: It's like?
- 22:12Speaker 4: I got kids?
- 22:13Speaker 1: Man, I watched Madagascar. Okay, let me when he saw
- 22:16Speaker 1: his family, they made that noise.
- 22:18Speaker 2: They were like, yeah, let me know what a donkey
- 22:21Speaker 2: sounds like real quick? Yeah, well, you want to do
- 22:23Speaker 2: the donkey sound real quick? Yeah? Go ahead, okay, wow.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Okay, let's hear the real donkey sound.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, I just didn't have it at the.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Beginning of that sound. Hold on, let me hear the
- 22:41Speaker 2: beginning of the donkey again.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Alright, let me pull.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Why does that remind me of a song? That reminds
- 22:49Speaker 2: me of that song? Who's it? By Luke Combs?
- 22:51Speaker 5: Oh?
- 22:51Speaker 2: Let me you know that's.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Me?
- 23:00Speaker 3: He never broke.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Yeah, play the beginning of that song. Oh here it is? Yeah,
- 23:10Speaker 2: right there, that's what that sounds like. Let me do
- 23:14Speaker 2: something that's the same note. Let's put them together. Why
- 23:29Speaker 2: does that work? The dog sounded again? Sounds like him
- 23:34Speaker 2: saying long.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Let me hear a.
- 23:43Speaker 5: Tough stories on the tens with Billy the Kids in
- 23:45Speaker 5: the morning.
- 23:46Speaker 4: Only on the new mixed one or two point nine.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Dirty Little Secret coming up next. Get ready for that.
- 23:51Speaker 2: It's an emotional one too. You just wait to hear this.
- 23:55Speaker 2: I haven't heard the full story. I don't like hearing
- 23:56Speaker 2: the full story, but I gotta know what's going on
- 23:58Speaker 2: a little bit. Yeah, this woman is going through it
- 24:01Speaker 2: with her husband. That's all also going through it. So Candice,
- 24:06Speaker 2: what's going on?
- 24:06Speaker 3: Well, the votes were counted and this weekend's election. Dart
- 24:09Speaker 3: services will be coming to an end in Highland Park
- 24:12Speaker 3: this month, but will continue in Addison and University Park.
- 24:16Speaker 3: So they had elections over the weekend because of the
- 24:19Speaker 3: City of Plano. So they first announced their intention to
- 24:22Speaker 3: leave this alliance, saying it's tax contributions weren't worth the
- 24:25Speaker 3: benefits to residents. Well Plano Farmers Branch in Irving then
- 24:29Speaker 3: had you know, initially plan elections and then cancel them
- 24:32Speaker 3: after they negotiated their agreements. So buses will continue to
- 24:36Speaker 3: operate through Highland Park, but will not stop within those
- 24:39Speaker 3: city limits. That is expected to take effect May fifteenth.
- 24:43Speaker 2: What. Yeah, so you can't get the bus in Highland Park.
- 24:46Speaker 3: No, not as of May fifteenth. Yeah, it's gonna go away.
- 24:50Speaker 2: So what if I work somewhere in Highland Park.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Yeah, well you gotta figure it out. Yeah, you're gonna
- 24:54Speaker 3: have to go past Highland Park and then come around
- 24:57Speaker 3: some other way take a car. I don't know how they.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Don't want to work for they don't want the buses
- 25:01Speaker 2: in Highland Park. No, yeah, yeah, okay.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a it's been a hot topic for I
- 25:08Speaker 3: mean pretty much all year. I know the CEO there
- 25:11Speaker 3: was a change there with Dart, but we just had
- 25:14Speaker 3: you know, the new Silver line being built up in
- 25:16Speaker 3: Plano and Richardson area, which is beautiful. Yeah. So it's
- 25:20Speaker 3: you know, city by city Okay.
- 25:23Speaker 2: You know, no, you could do that. Yeah, so I
- 25:25Speaker 2: live in Carrollton. We could put something on the books
- 25:27Speaker 2: to vote if we don't want buses in our city.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Well the dart service.
- 25:32Speaker 2: The dart service, right, Okay, so.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Maybe there's another option that they're going to come up with.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Maybe you just can't stop there. Yeah, so is it.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Too too poor for Richard? Well, I just I just
- 25:44Speaker 2: don't like the sight of a bus. A bus is
- 25:48Speaker 2: just just grody. It just looks so I don't know,
- 25:52Speaker 2: it's just so big, and it's it's not even a
- 25:55Speaker 2: Mercedes like you're just going to drive this bus through.
- 26:01Speaker 3: I mean, it's you're paying for the taxes for the service.
- 26:04Speaker 3: And then maybe the residents aren't using it. Maybe that's
- 26:06Speaker 3: part of the issue, but I don't live at Highland Park.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Well, anyways, cannus, let's.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Talk about McDonald's guys. They are quietly getting rid of
- 26:17Speaker 3: their self serve soda fountains. So this plan is to
- 26:20Speaker 3: completely get rid of them by twenty thirty two. They
- 26:23Speaker 3: would be only behind the counter. They're saying this would
- 26:27Speaker 3: help modernize restaurants, reduce maintenance and labor demands, and also
- 26:31Speaker 3: really adapt to the demand for drive through delivery and takeout.
- 26:34Speaker 3: So yeah, which one do you want?
- 26:36Speaker 2: Do you want us to have people there or no?
- 26:38Speaker 2: Because how am I going to get a drink freefill?
- 26:40Speaker 4: Right?
- 26:40Speaker 3: I'm confused too because my McDonald's has like the you know,
- 26:43Speaker 3: self serve chiosks, Right, So did I have to wait
- 26:46Speaker 3: to talk to somebody exactly?
- 26:48Speaker 2: Which to guess what? Nobody comes to the front now
- 26:50Speaker 2: if you have self service, So now I gotta wait.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Just let me get my soda? Right.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Well, yeah, they're saying this would also give them more
- 26:57Speaker 3: control over portion, sizes, and inventory. So yeah, you can't
- 27:02Speaker 3: take your water cup and just sneak sho.
- 27:05Speaker 2: No, I've done that my entire life. I've taken literally
- 27:08Speaker 2: I don't know how McDonald's keeps the lights on because
- 27:10Speaker 2: I've stole so much sprite. No, I haven't. I just kidding.
- 27:15Speaker 2: They just actually Highland Park just announced that they kicked
- 27:18Speaker 2: all McDonald's out of the city. They just voted there's
- 27:21Speaker 2: no more McDonald's in Highland Park.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Well, McDonald's also launching six new drinks this week at
- 27:26Speaker 3: some of their locations. So they're getting in on like
- 27:28Speaker 3: the dirty soda trend, so with these refreshers and crafted sodas,
- 27:32Speaker 3: So maybe they're hoping that's more your jam. Moving forward,
- 27:35Speaker 3: real quick, guys, post Malone canceled the start of his tour.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Six shows were part of this, including his shows in Texas.
- 27:43Speaker 3: That tour will now kick off June twelfth in Indianapolis.
- 27:47Speaker 3: So Post Malone saying he needs more time to finish
- 27:49Speaker 3: his double album before this tour starts. And you know,
- 27:52Speaker 3: people are saying this could have something to do with
- 27:54Speaker 3: low ticket sales. I know some of the shows were
- 27:57Speaker 3: offering discounts already those tickets.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Well yeah, It's also could have something to do with
- 28:03Speaker 2: the fact that life is really expensive right now. Yeah,
- 28:06Speaker 2: and people don't have disposable income for an expensive concert ticket.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I love post No I do too.
- 28:11Speaker 3: I was really hoping to go down to Waco to
- 28:13Speaker 3: see him, but that show was on a weeknight. Also,
- 28:16Speaker 3: I know, and it's like, I mean, Waco people would go,
- 28:19Speaker 3: but people from Dyftoby are going to drive to Waco
- 28:21Speaker 3: on a weeknight.
- 28:22Speaker 2: I can't school. Yeah, so ye, no, I think it's
- 28:24Speaker 2: a couple of factors. I mean, I think people want
- 28:26Speaker 2: to see posts. But oh yeah, it's expensive, it's in Waco.
- 28:29Speaker 3: It's the same tour.
- 28:30Speaker 2: It's the same tour as went around before. So I
- 28:33Speaker 2: don't think it's a bad thing if you take some
- 28:34Speaker 2: time off.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Yeah, he posted those saying, you know, he promises that
- 28:37Speaker 3: new music. He's promised it doesn't have time to finish it.
- 28:40Speaker 3: He's just not ready to tour. So if he pushes
- 28:42Speaker 3: it back three weeks, that'll help get the music done.
- 28:44Speaker 3: So yeah, I'm candaslow Pez. Those are your Texas Top stories.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Off your test to promise you'll feel better.
- 28:52Speaker 5: Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret makes.
- 28:54Speaker 2: One of two point nine appealing a kid Canda Sloan Pez,
- 28:57Speaker 2: producer food. Don't forget we're doing an eight thirty. I
- 28:59Speaker 2: still have it down that we're doing tradio radio. I
- 29:01Speaker 2: don't care what kind of obstacle we face with these
- 29:03Speaker 2: request lines. We're gonna make it happen, don't you worry. Yes,
- 29:06Speaker 2: we have nidos and mystery dumplings to give away, which
- 29:08Speaker 2: people are standing the line for hours and hours for it.
- 29:11Speaker 2: They're going on it's crazy. The wing on sale for
- 29:13Speaker 2: hundreds of dollars online. Yeah, it's crazy. These toys everybody wants.
- 29:17Speaker 2: We got them. We're gonna do it all week eight
- 29:18Speaker 2: thirty Tradio Radio. So figure out something you want to trade, Okay, now,
- 29:22Speaker 2: dirty little secrets. Whatever your secret is, you can confess
- 29:25Speaker 2: at eight three three seven eight seven one O two
- 29:27Speaker 2: nine or right now, it's probably best to go to
- 29:29Speaker 2: at MIXHEO two nine FM on Instagram and we could
- 29:31Speaker 2: set it up there because our request lines are down,
- 29:34Speaker 2: but they're being rebuilt by Brad. Who Brad is I
- 29:37Speaker 2: don't know, but he's in our computer poos set. Got
- 29:39Speaker 2: this brat who is never sweated so hard in his life.
- 29:42Speaker 2: He's running around I deserve he deserves Chipotle today, Yeah,
- 29:46Speaker 2: or maybe another shot at tequila. I don't know, but
- 29:49Speaker 2: all right, you got a secret, you let us know
- 29:51Speaker 2: and you have one. What's going on? I do.
- 29:54Speaker 6: I've been going back and forth on calling you guys,
- 29:56Speaker 6: but I really don't have anyone to talk to about this.
- 29:59Speaker 2: So well that's what we're here for. It's a non
- 30:01Speaker 2: judgment zone. What is going on in your world?
- 30:04Speaker 6: Well, I've been married and we've only been married a
- 30:07Speaker 6: couple of years, so it's still pretty new. And from
- 30:11Speaker 6: the beginning of we both wanted the same thing, like
- 30:13Speaker 6: a family with kids, you know, a big house full
- 30:15Speaker 6: of noise, and that was always a part of the
- 30:18Speaker 6: plan for both of us. And because it hadn't worked
- 30:22Speaker 6: out that way, we've been trying and trying and trying,
- 30:26Speaker 6: and nothing has happened. And at first I thought it
- 30:30Speaker 6: was me. So I got tested and I went through
- 30:33Speaker 6: all the emotions, like something's wrong with my body. I'm
- 30:35Speaker 6: like broken, I'm something's not happening right. And then we
- 30:39Speaker 6: found out it's not me, it's him. Oh okay, And
- 30:44Speaker 6: I don't even think he realizes how much that changed
- 30:46Speaker 6: everything for me. And I tried to be supportive and
- 30:48Speaker 6: I love him. I love him so much, and he's
- 30:51Speaker 6: a good man, he's a good husband, and it's not
- 30:53Speaker 6: his fault. But I feel like, ever since I found out,
- 30:56Speaker 6: like there's this big weight on me and I can't
- 30:59Speaker 6: shake it. And I I've always pictured myself as a mom.
- 31:02Speaker 6: I've always wanted kids. I wanted that life with my husband,
- 31:06Speaker 6: to have my kids in my house, and so it's
- 31:10Speaker 6: just like this can't happen.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Now I know it's a lot of emotions. But and
- 31:16Speaker 2: I'm not saying this is the same, but I know
- 31:19Speaker 2: there's other you know, there's adoption, there's other things that
- 31:22Speaker 2: you could do.
- 31:24Speaker 6: My friends. Yes, I mean we've discussed adoption. I'm not
- 31:27Speaker 6: against it.
- 31:28Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 31:28Speaker 6: But if I'm being completely honest, I don't know if
- 31:32Speaker 6: I'll feel the same way. Yeah, And I feel awful
- 31:35Speaker 6: saying that, but that's how I feel. And I can't
- 31:38Speaker 6: deny that I feel that way. And this is a
- 31:41Speaker 6: part of like what makes me feel like I might
- 31:43Speaker 6: be the worst wife in the world or worst person
- 31:46Speaker 6: in the world. And I just know that I know
- 31:48Speaker 6: myself and i'd be lying if if, like if I
- 31:51Speaker 6: say this is okay, because like I said, this has
- 31:54Speaker 6: always been my dream. And I have thought about leaving him.
- 31:59Speaker 6: Oh and I haven't said it, and I haven't even
- 32:03Speaker 6: come close because I love him and it's like not
- 32:05Speaker 6: his fault, but it's crossed my mind that maybe I
- 32:09Speaker 6: should move on.
- 32:09Speaker 2: But I'm like, hold on, hold on, So you're thinking
- 32:12Speaker 2: about actually leap, okay, and I'm not it's a non
- 32:16Speaker 2: judgment zone. You're thinking about leaving him over this?
- 32:19Speaker 6: Well, I do want to have kids of my own,
- 32:22Speaker 6: and I don't know what else to do because I
- 32:25Speaker 6: do love him and I love the life that we're
- 32:27Speaker 6: building together, but it's not working out, and I just
- 32:31Speaker 6: feel like it's flipping away what I wanted.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I mean, is it not working out? Or is this
- 32:37Speaker 2: the plan? The bigger plan that you know? Sometimes you
- 32:41Speaker 2: just can't control these things. And obviously it's not his fault.
- 32:43Speaker 2: I can't tell you what's right or wrong. There's a
- 32:46Speaker 2: difference between going, oh, you know what, I can't. I
- 32:49Speaker 2: can't say this has never crossed my mind and I'm
- 32:53Speaker 2: actually going to do this. Yeah, there's two different things.
- 32:56Speaker 2: So I mean, I guess it just depends on you.
- 32:58Speaker 2: If you love him. I just feel like there's no
- 33:00Speaker 2: way you can leave him over this.
- 33:03Speaker 6: I don't feel like I can leave him either, But
- 33:04Speaker 6: I'm just like hurting myself, and I'm like, how do
- 33:07Speaker 6: I agree without hurting him? I'm keeping everything to myself.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Have you two talked about it, maybe possibly doing counseling
- 33:13Speaker 2: or something like that together, because this is a big deal.
- 33:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't hold it inside, but also sharing that
- 33:18Speaker 3: with him is going to just break his heart even worse.
- 33:22Speaker 6: Yeah, I guess we will have to go to counseling
- 33:24Speaker 6: because I don't know what to do from here, because
- 33:26Speaker 6: I'm just questioning everything and feeling like a terrible person
- 33:29Speaker 6: because think.
- 33:30Speaker 2: About it, you leave. Let's say you know you've thought
- 33:33Speaker 2: about it, you leave him, you get with somebody else,
- 33:36Speaker 2: you have kids, you think years down the road, you're
- 33:39Speaker 2: not gonna look back and go. I mean, yeah, I'm
- 33:41Speaker 2: glad i'm a mom, but I can't believe I left
- 33:43Speaker 2: a man that I love right and love because of
- 33:47Speaker 2: something that he can't control.
- 33:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:50Speaker 2: If this were switched around and it was a man
- 33:52Speaker 2: calling up and saying I'm leaving my wife because she
- 33:55Speaker 2: can't have kids, I think people would be in an
- 33:57Speaker 2: uproar and everybody feels different now that you're saying it, right,
- 34:02Speaker 2: And I don't think you're a bad person. I'm just
- 34:04Speaker 2: saying I would really talk to somebody before you let
- 34:06Speaker 2: that thought get out of control or take over reason.
- 34:09Speaker 3: I mean, to process your how you're feeling before you
- 34:12Speaker 3: just jump and make some type of decision that you
- 34:14Speaker 3: can't turn back.
- 34:16Speaker 2: You know he's going through all this too. Yeah, he
- 34:19Speaker 2: probably feels so guilty and evasculated, Like you.
- 34:22Speaker 6: Know, it's just horrible. I wish that things were different,
- 34:26Speaker 6: but they're not. So I have to just face what
- 34:28Speaker 6: we have going on.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Well, and some people would be, you know, take the
- 34:32Speaker 3: route of this just wasn't meant to be. It wasn't
- 34:35Speaker 3: meant for me to have kids. You know. It's a
- 34:38Speaker 3: tough pill to swallow, it is when you've dreamed of that.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I know so many people, so many people go,
- 34:44Speaker 2: especially women. They feel like their main reason they're here
- 34:49Speaker 2: is to be a mom. So if that can't happen,
- 34:52Speaker 2: I get why you feel like there's a big part
- 34:53Speaker 2: of you missing.
- 34:54Speaker 3: For sure, But you definitely can't. You guys can't work
- 34:57Speaker 3: through this on your own. I would definitely professional help
- 35:01Speaker 3: do that.
- 35:02Speaker 6: Thank you, Thank you so much.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Good luck with everything and let us know what happens
- 35:07Speaker 2: and hang in there.
- 35:07Speaker 6: Okay, okay, thank you so much.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Well I told you it's deep, Yeah, really deep. I know.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Hopefully they talk to someone. Yeah, that's why I love
- 35:17Speaker 2: dirty little Secretly. You just never know what you're gonna get.
- 35:20Speaker 2: So but I just feel her pain and I feel
- 35:22Speaker 2: his pain. He's gonna get on the phone, you know, all.
- 35:26Speaker 5: Right, he's doing for Canna's court. It gets settled here
- 35:31Speaker 5: with Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Always for the Honorable Judge Cannie slow Pass in the
- 35:36Speaker 2: studio right now. I'm sorry on the bench. Yeah, as
- 35:39Speaker 2: we speak, it's mixed one or two point nine. All right,
- 35:41Speaker 2: Nidos Nido's Mystery Dumplings on the way. We'll do it
- 35:44Speaker 2: at eight thirty. We're doing it no matter what. Yeah,
- 35:46Speaker 2: we're doing, whether the request lines are working, whether I
- 35:48Speaker 2: have to do it by messenger pigeon, everybody wants these toys,
- 35:52Speaker 2: We'll do it. We're doing tradio radio. Figure out something
- 35:54Speaker 2: you want to trade? Get ready? We got to do
- 35:55Speaker 2: it on Instagram. If I gotta go live on the
- 35:57Speaker 2: toll way in my underwear, I didn't do that. Sorry,
- 36:02Speaker 2: I didn't even expect that.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Give the line somewhere.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you got an issue at Candas on air, at
- 36:09Speaker 2: Candas on Air on Instagram. Okay. This year I volunteered
- 36:12Speaker 2: to coach my son's youth soccer team, and all season
- 36:15Speaker 2: I've been careful not to show him any favoritism. He's
- 36:19Speaker 2: a solid player and usually starts, but I've always made
- 36:23Speaker 2: it a point to treat him like any other kid.
- 36:25Speaker 2: We just had a big playoff game, and it decided
- 36:27Speaker 2: to bench him for most of it because I didn't
- 36:30Speaker 2: want anyone thinking I was giving him special treatment. We
- 36:34Speaker 2: ended up losing, and he played only for a few minutes.
- 36:38Speaker 2: I could tell he was upset. But my wife is
- 36:41Speaker 2: furious and says I overcorrected to the point where I
- 36:45Speaker 2: actually hurt our son just to prove a point to
- 36:48Speaker 2: other parents. I thought I was doing the right thing
- 36:51Speaker 2: by being extra fair, but now I'm second guessing it.
- 36:55Speaker 2: We're in a big fight about it. Did I go
- 36:57Speaker 2: too far? Question mark? Question mark? Question mark? Ah, oh, okay,
- 37:03Speaker 2: So he's the coach, which is never easy. Yeah, when
- 37:06Speaker 2: your kid plays. That's why daddy ball they call it,
- 37:10Speaker 2: because usually the coach's kids sometimes play a little too much.
- 37:13Speaker 2: In this case, he overcorrected and he benched his kid
- 37:18Speaker 2: because he's like, I don't want to show favoritism, so
- 37:20Speaker 2: he benched him, probably more than he should have. Candice,
- 37:23Speaker 2: what are your initial thoughts?
- 37:24Speaker 3: I mean, you mention him for most of a playoff game.
- 37:27Speaker 3: We let alone play for a few minutes. I don't
- 37:30Speaker 3: understand that. You know, now, the kid's upset, the wife's upset.
- 37:34Speaker 3: How is everyone else feeling? Because I just feel like
- 37:38Speaker 3: there's fair and then there's extra fair. And why you
- 37:40Speaker 3: be an extra a fair during a playoff game.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Well, you're worried about the way you look when all
- 37:45Speaker 2: you have to do is do the right thing right,
- 37:47Speaker 2: no matter how you look, meaning, play it like any
- 37:50Speaker 2: other normal game. Right, play all the kids equally.
- 37:53Speaker 3: If you're always fair, Just continue to be equally as
- 37:56Speaker 3: fair as you always are.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Like you don't have to sit your son on the
- 37:58Speaker 2: bench for the entire your game or extra just to
- 38:01Speaker 2: prove a point. Play him as much as you usually do.
- 38:05Speaker 2: You know what if it's if it's little league or whatever,
- 38:07Speaker 2: pee wee play all the kids equally.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Yeah, you just rotate them for sure. I mean we're
- 38:12Speaker 3: all here trying to learn and play and be a team,
- 38:15Speaker 3: you know.
- 38:16Speaker 2: I mean that's what Yeah, I coached baseball back in
- 38:18Speaker 2: the day, and that's what you did. Everybody got a
- 38:20Speaker 2: fair turn. Oh you sit out this, sitting next inning,
- 38:23Speaker 2: you sit out.
- 38:26Speaker 1: No, and that's why y'all lose.
- 38:28Speaker 2: No, man, I don't want to should have won championship
- 38:30Speaker 2: when I coach, But go ahead.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Okay, listen. The problem is nowadays this everybody gets a turn.
- 38:37Speaker 1: That's the problem.
- 38:38Speaker 2: With like sports.
- 38:39Speaker 1: I don't like when I was growing up, you and
- 38:41Speaker 1: you play soccer, football, whatever.
- 38:43Speaker 2: They put the good people in because you want to win.
- 38:46Speaker 2: But we're talking pee WEE understand that. But so you
- 38:49Speaker 2: mean to tell me in little league or whatever. Let's
- 38:52Speaker 2: say it's baseball because I never really played soccer. Right,
- 38:55Speaker 2: Let's say it's baseball. So if the kid's not that good,
- 38:57Speaker 2: he should just ride the bench the entire time, not.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Just not necessarily ride the bench.
- 39:01Speaker 2: But that's what you're saying. But but here's the deal.
- 39:05Speaker 1: When when you were first doing the like the pool
- 39:07Speaker 1: of getting your players, I pick out the ones I
- 39:09Speaker 1: know they are gonna do something on my team.
- 39:11Speaker 2: I don't want to You don't coach.
- 39:13Speaker 1: I coached soccer one time. Okay, yeah, and I played
- 39:17Speaker 1: all the good kids there was there was what a
- 39:20Speaker 1: bad Yeah. I ain't gonna lie to you. There's not
- 39:22Speaker 1: about listen. Nowadays everybody coddles these kids. Everybody gets to
- 39:26Speaker 1: turn a participation in trophy. I want to win.
- 39:30Speaker 3: About well, we want to win too, but we want
- 39:31Speaker 3: our kid to learn and play and have a good time.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Like this is if he's a volunteer coach. It's not
- 39:36Speaker 3: that serious.
- 39:37Speaker 1: It's not that serious. I wouldn't I wouldn't have done that.
- 39:41Speaker 2: So let me say this. So if you're coaching soccer
- 39:43Speaker 2: and you know, let's say a little timmy who has
- 39:46Speaker 2: two left feet, you know you can barely run, you're
- 39:50Speaker 2: gonna he's gonna be on the bench the entire game.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Not the entire game, maybe like the last few minutes
- 39:54Speaker 1: after we after we done murdered that team. Yeah, then
- 39:57Speaker 1: I put a little team. It's a playoff game.
- 40:00Speaker 2: I want to win.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Like even listen, listen, even choir dude nowadays? Yeah, yes,
- 40:07Speaker 1: because kids nowadays, everybody, everybody just participates.
- 40:11Speaker 2: What about choir? What's okay?
- 40:13Speaker 1: So yeah, but I had the same arguing with my
- 40:17Speaker 1: baby mama, like choir, my son in choir because my
- 40:20Speaker 1: son really can't he really can't sing, Like why are
- 40:23Speaker 1: you in choir? Choir is for people who can sing?
- 40:28Speaker 1: Why why try out?
- 40:30Speaker 2: Because that's what being a kid is all about, talents.
- 40:33Speaker 2: But to me, there's kids that you want to try things,
- 40:36Speaker 2: you want to do things, you want to see what
- 40:37Speaker 2: you're passionate about, and that's the point. And if it's
- 40:40Speaker 2: not the best, then this is the time in life
- 40:42Speaker 2: you can mess up and go Okay, if that wasn't
- 40:44Speaker 2: maybe my favorite thing. Or it's also a time where
- 40:46Speaker 2: he learns how to get better and can sing and
- 40:49Speaker 2: capitalize on his vocal talent. Where you can learn to sing.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Okay, how about learn to play before you try out?
- 40:59Speaker 5: That's all.
- 41:00Speaker 1: That's a life lesson. Like if I'm good at my
- 41:02Speaker 1: job and you're not good at your job, you ain't
- 41:04Speaker 1: gonna get the same job.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Well, you know what I mean. We're not talking about
- 41:07Speaker 2: a job. We're talking about kids learning sports.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I'm saying that that's how that reflects in the future.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Jeez, I'm real competitive. I want to win, but I'm
- 41:16Speaker 2: very competitive as well.
- 41:18Speaker 5: I know.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Yes, but when you're teaching kids, you're teaching that. Yeah,
- 41:22Speaker 2: winning is a part of it, but it's not the
- 41:24Speaker 2: most important part at this age. Yeah right, I mean
- 41:26Speaker 2: there's life skills that you're teaching these kids. It's about
- 41:29Speaker 2: learning how to work as a team.
- 41:31Speaker 3: If we just spend every bench every kid who doesn't
- 41:33Speaker 3: have the quote unquote talent as a you know who
- 41:36Speaker 3: knows they're probably under ten. You're saying youth sports are
- 41:38Speaker 3: probably under ten. They're gonna bench their whole life. And
- 41:40Speaker 3: never know what they can do.
- 41:42Speaker 2: You're gonna take this kid and it's little Timmy is
- 41:44Speaker 2: gonna hate soccer now because you don't put them in
- 41:47Speaker 2: until the last thirty seconds of the game.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Well, little Timmy can practice on his own while we're winning.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Oh but if I'm paying you to be on this team,
- 41:55Speaker 3: I need you to teach my kid. I need my
- 41:56Speaker 3: kid to have some experience versus riding the bench else
- 42:00Speaker 3: because he's not good.
- 42:00Speaker 2: And maybe he does practice and he's just trying to run,
- 42:03Speaker 2: but he's still come on.
- 42:04Speaker 1: I mean when my kids. Listen, when my kids played football,
- 42:07Speaker 1: sometimes they didn't get they didn't get to start, but
- 42:11Speaker 1: they went home to practice or whatever. Then the coach
- 42:13Speaker 1: played them at the end of the game and I
- 42:16Speaker 1: was like, what, coach, what do we gotta do to
- 42:18Speaker 1: you know, to start? He was like, I just need
- 42:20Speaker 1: him to work on this, this, this and that, and
- 42:21Speaker 1: then guess what, he turned it around. The next year
- 42:24Speaker 1: he started. You see what I'm saying, and we won. Now,
- 42:27Speaker 1: Brendan is good.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I do see, and that's important part of it.
- 42:31Speaker 2: But until the meantime, did you expect him to play
- 42:34Speaker 2: when he wasn't quote unquote good. No, you didn't expect
- 42:37Speaker 2: him to play.
- 42:38Speaker 1: No, I don't get I don't I don't deal with that.
- 42:40Speaker 1: So his mom was like, that's not fair. I'm like, no,
- 42:44Speaker 1: he needs to work at his craft, get back there,
- 42:46Speaker 1: come back next year.
- 42:47Speaker 2: It's not the NFL. To me, it is No. I'm sorry.
- 42:51Speaker 2: I'm just like that.
- 42:53Speaker 3: Sports for so many reasons.
- 42:57Speaker 1: But letting everybody get a turn, Okay, they're little.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Well they're little. Yeah, all right, we're not gonna agree.
- 43:03Speaker 2: It doesn't matter what we think. Candas Court. You you're
- 43:06Speaker 2: the judge. Yeah, you're the only saying one in this room.
- 43:09Speaker 3: That's a totally different topic than we're talking about this
- 43:11Speaker 3: Candis Court. But for for this case, look, I think
- 43:13Speaker 3: this guy was guilty of being a sideline. Sam. It
- 43:17Speaker 3: can't It's not fair to let your kid only play
- 43:20Speaker 3: a few minutes. Don't be extra fair. Just be as
- 43:22Speaker 3: fair as you've been all season. You sound like a
- 43:24Speaker 3: reasonable person, and I respect that you're trying to be
- 43:27Speaker 3: fair and make an impression on the other parents. So
- 43:29Speaker 3: let them know that everybody's gonna get to play, but
- 43:31Speaker 3: they lost because of you know, you're being an extra
- 43:34Speaker 3: fair I would.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Agree, all right, he's guilty of being a sideline Sam
- 43:38Speaker 2: Benjamin Billy That's okay.
- 43:41Speaker 5: It's tough stories on the tents with Billy the Kid
- 43:44Speaker 5: in the.
- 43:44Speaker 4: Morning only on the New Mixed one or two point nine.
- 43:47Speaker 2: You've got a lot going on this morning at Nidos
- 43:49Speaker 2: and Mystery Dumplings. Everybody wants those. We're doing them an
- 43:52Speaker 2: eight thirty no matter what. Yeah, we're gonna do a
- 43:54Speaker 2: little tradio radio either way, that don't happen eight to thirty.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Everybody wants these toys. People stand in line for hours.
- 43:59Speaker 2: We're doing this all week long, So hook that up,
- 44:03Speaker 2: Candice Lopes, What is going on, well.
- 44:04Speaker 3: Forny id is part of a multi agency investigation stemming
- 44:08Speaker 3: from misconduct allegation. So this is happening at Crosby Elementary School.
- 44:12Speaker 3: The principal, a teacher, and a number of teachers' aides
- 44:16Speaker 3: were let go and will not be returning. So the
- 44:19Speaker 3: district is saying that the teacher in question was hired
- 44:21Speaker 3: back in October under a name with a clean background check,
- 44:25Speaker 3: but they later learned that he had legally changed his
- 44:28Speaker 3: name before being hired by forty ISD. He was facing
- 44:32Speaker 3: charges under that previous name. Now he was acquitted of
- 44:35Speaker 3: those charges in that case, but one parent is saying
- 44:38Speaker 3: that that's because the child involved was nonverbal and that
- 44:42Speaker 3: family later moved away and never testified. But this is
- 44:45Speaker 3: all under investigation by Forny Police, CPS and the state.
- 44:50Speaker 3: They haven't released specific details, but families involved have been
- 44:53Speaker 3: contacted directly. But I'm hearing that it could be up
- 44:56Speaker 3: to nine students that were involved. Belie. This was a
- 45:00Speaker 3: first grade special ed teacher. There were aids and other
- 45:04Speaker 3: staff who possibly witnessed the misconduct. It didn't report it
- 45:07Speaker 3: immediately and that's why they were removed over the weekend. Yeah,
- 45:12Speaker 3: just a developing story there, but it's just really disheartening,
- 45:15Speaker 3: really infuriating for parents and families of.
- 45:17Speaker 2: Course, but we don't know what the misconduct was just yet, right,
- 45:20Speaker 2: all right, Well, you know what you deserve a special place,
- 45:24Speaker 2: you know where if you mess with kids.
- 45:25Speaker 3: Yeah, one hundred percent. We got to protect our kids.
- 45:28Speaker 3: So I'll keep you posted on any developments. Also, Spirit
- 45:31Speaker 3: Airlines shut down services Saturday morning at abruptly canceled service.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Seventeen one thousand workers did lose their jobs. That's unfortunate,
- 45:40Speaker 3: but people are left stranded you know, book these flights
- 45:43Speaker 3: and then suddenly the airline doesn't exist.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Happened to my friend literally in New Orleans. First time
- 45:48Speaker 2: he's ever booked, ever booked Spirit because our other friend
- 45:51Speaker 2: was like, do it never let me down, which he's
- 45:53Speaker 2: a liar because it's let me down. Do it let
- 45:55Speaker 2: me down? Yeah, he's in New Orleans. All of a sudden,
- 45:58Speaker 2: he gets a little on message like, oh, by the way,
- 45:59Speaker 2: we're business. Good luck at home, right, that's awful. Yeah,
- 46:03Speaker 2: I mean, and I do feel bad for everyone losing
- 46:05Speaker 2: their jobs, but I'm sorry, I don't care if they've
- 46:08Speaker 2: never had a crash. Somebody said, well they've never had
- 46:10Speaker 2: a crash. Okay, we shouldn't. I'm sorry.
- 46:12Speaker 3: Yeah, that should be for all airlines they.
- 46:14Speaker 2: I had the worst experience on Spirit ever, I mean
- 46:17Speaker 2: the worst. The person talked to me like I was
- 46:20Speaker 2: an idiot. Oh, it is the rude I mean rude. Yeah.
- 46:25Speaker 2: So you know, listen, I mean there's a reason you
- 46:29Speaker 2: can get sixty dollars flights. Yeah, and it's not paying
- 46:33Speaker 2: off and the model's not working.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely not.
- 46:35Speaker 4: I mean.
- 46:35Speaker 3: As of May twenty twenty four, they operated just over
- 46:38Speaker 3: three percent of domestic flights, and this month that number
- 46:41Speaker 3: could be as low as one percent, and now obviously
- 46:44Speaker 3: zero zero. Yeah, there's this whole movement online though, for
- 46:47Speaker 3: Americans to buy the airline. Did you see this, Let's
- 46:51Speaker 3: buy Spirit air dot com. They're saying the website right,
- 46:55Speaker 3: the website crash because so many people were on there,
- 46:58Speaker 3: So pledges are down at the moment. But I say,
- 47:00Speaker 3: there's been eighty eight million dollars pledged already, which I'm.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Finally hard to wait they do that with something that
- 47:06Speaker 2: really matters, like right, world hung hunger here, homelessness or veterans,
- 47:11Speaker 2: not Spirit Airlines. Like I said, I feel bad for
- 47:13Speaker 2: anyone who lost their job. I really do.
- 47:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I do too.
- 47:17Speaker 5: What.
- 47:17Speaker 3: Yeah, it's nice to see the other airlines stepping up
- 47:19Speaker 3: to and you know, offering to help. So uh yeah,
- 47:23Speaker 3: don't see that coming back. But you know, stranger things
- 47:25Speaker 3: have happened real quick, guys. Tonight is the met Gala.
- 47:28Speaker 3: It happens the first Monday in May every year at
- 47:31Speaker 3: New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. The theme this year
- 47:35Speaker 3: is Costume Art. The dress code is Fashion is Art.
- 47:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 47:39Speaker 3: Co chairs this year Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Anna Wintour and
- 47:42Speaker 3: Venus william So this is really a high profile fundraiser
- 47:46Speaker 3: slash fashion show. The red carpet is going to be
- 47:49Speaker 3: stacked though, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Mary Kate, Nashley Olsen,
- 47:54Speaker 3: some of the cast members of K Pop Demon Hunters
- 47:56Speaker 3: are expected to be on that carpet, as well as
- 47:58Speaker 3: Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitt.
- 47:59Speaker 2: It's just Halloween for rich people. Yeah, it's Halloween for
- 48:04Speaker 2: rich people. I'm not gonna get negative on it because
- 48:06Speaker 2: somebody was like, Billy, stop being grumpy today.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a lot of money for that's.
- 48:10Speaker 2: That's all the matters. They're raising money for charity. But
- 48:13Speaker 2: it's just rich people dressing up and doing rich people things.
- 48:15Speaker 3: So you're not going to be watching the live stream tonight.
- 48:18Speaker 2: Let me tell you something. I'd rather watch Pooh take
- 48:21Speaker 2: a bubble bath. Oh wait, okay, okay, maybe.
- 48:25Speaker 3: Not that's going on tonight.
- 48:27Speaker 2: I can tell you the bubble bath.
- 48:29Speaker 3: No, I don't know anything about who's bathing schedules.
- 48:34Speaker 2: I don't think he takes baths showers showers showers only. Yeah,
- 48:39Speaker 2: you never take a nice bath.
- 48:40Speaker 3: No, I don't like that at all okay, all right,
- 48:43Speaker 3: glad we learned that today. Yeah, I'm Candle Slopez. Those
- 48:47Speaker 3: are your Texas to Stories.
- 48:49Speaker 2: Good morning, It's Billy the Kid. Canda Lopez is to
- 48:52Speaker 2: your producer, poo is here, Mundane is Mondane hard. Monday
- 48:58Speaker 2: is very Monday is because what we've been so excited
- 49:01Speaker 2: to give away these needles and mystery dumplings. So excited.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Thank you to our boy Danny Uh from Clausania, which
- 49:08Speaker 2: he's just been awesome to us everything that's hot. It's like, hey,
- 49:10Speaker 2: we need some little booboos. Let's hook you up. So
- 49:13Speaker 2: we need some needos. People are waiting in our long lines,
- 49:16Speaker 2: I mean hours an hour, spending one hundreds of dollars
- 49:18Speaker 2: on these toys because the kids want them, you know,
- 49:21Speaker 2: and the things you do for your kids, right, So
- 49:22Speaker 2: we're gonna give them away. So we're doing tradio radio, right,
- 49:25Speaker 2: We're gonna see what we can get for a neido
- 49:28Speaker 2: or a mystery dumpling, a little tradio radio so you
- 49:31Speaker 2: could trade us anything you want, right, anything. Last time
- 49:35Speaker 2: we did this, we did it for concert tickets and
- 49:36Speaker 2: guess what we got. We got a live goat. I've
- 49:40Speaker 2: been so excited all weekend. I can't wait to do this.
- 49:43Speaker 2: We get in here today and the request lines aren't working. Yea,
- 49:46Speaker 2: how do we have an update? Pooh like it? Let's
- 49:49Speaker 2: go to our correspondent. Pooh, correspondent, Pooh, what's it look like?
- 49:52Speaker 1: That is still on it?
- 49:54Speaker 2: He said, he's just Brad.
- 49:56Speaker 1: That's the iTunes guy.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Oh it is? Yeah?
- 49:59Speaker 3: Oh from home Brad.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Yeah, he remotely logged in. He's trying to figure out
- 50:04Speaker 1: why they're still a delay coming back to here.
- 50:06Speaker 2: So Pooh, are they working? No? Not yet. So the
- 50:09Speaker 2: one time I need the request lines to work there,
- 50:11Speaker 2: I think you can.
- 50:12Speaker 3: Call because people are calling, right, It's just we can't
- 50:14Speaker 3: hear you.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Yeah, people right right exactly answer and I can. I
- 50:18Speaker 1: heard him at first, and then I didn't hear him again.
- 50:24Speaker 3: Can you hear me now?
- 50:25Speaker 2: I'm trying not to get frustrated. Yeah, but our request
- 50:28Speaker 2: lines are working about as good as Spirit airlines. I
- 50:31Speaker 2: think actually Spirit runs our IT department.
- 50:36Speaker 5: What is going on?
- 50:38Speaker 2: I'm trying not to be frustrated. I'm really trying not to.
- 50:41Speaker 2: We do a live show that we put a lot into.
- 50:44Speaker 2: How the one time everything has worked for months? Nothing's
- 50:48Speaker 2: the one day, I'm like, this is it. We're going
- 50:50Speaker 2: to do tradio radio. Not one line is working? You want?
- 50:54Speaker 2: Should I give out Poo's cell phone number?
- 50:58Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 50:59Speaker 2: All right, So this is what we're gonna do. You
- 51:01Speaker 2: know what I could see here? I could complain all day,
- 51:03Speaker 2: but the bottom line is it's not gonna fix anything.
- 51:05Speaker 3: There's a human in the next room though. That's weird news. Yeah,
- 51:08Speaker 3: you're a remote worker.
- 51:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, somebody just walked in. Okay, awesome, perfect, that's
- 51:14Speaker 2: a good sign for humans here. But we're not done.
- 51:16Speaker 2: This is what we're gonna do on Instagram. Go to
- 51:18Speaker 2: Mix one O two NINEFM at Mix one of two
- 51:21Speaker 2: NINEFM on Instagram. We're gonna post something right now. Why
- 51:25Speaker 2: don't you just tell us? People are already starting to DMO.
- 51:27Speaker 3: Yeah, James just hit me up.
- 51:29Speaker 2: What's James willing to trade?
- 51:30Speaker 3: Yeah, he says, I need one of those needles. I'll
- 51:32Speaker 3: trade a Texas Rangers Replica Championship Ring.
- 51:35Speaker 2: WHOA, that's cool? Well like it, mark it down, Mark
- 51:39Speaker 2: it down, Texas Rangers Replica Championship Ring.
- 51:43Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, I like that.
- 51:45Speaker 2: So should that be in the lead right now?
- 51:46Speaker 4: Oh?
- 51:47Speaker 3: Okay, take it to the game this weekend.
- 51:48Speaker 2: I'm checking the Instagram right now. Maria and Forty said,
- 51:52Speaker 2: forget a goat, I actually have a cappy barra whoa,
- 51:57Speaker 2: no way a cappy bar What does you do? This
- 52:01Speaker 2: is a bit my son? Remember. Okay, yeah, all right,
- 52:05Speaker 2: that's a live animal. Mark that down. That's for a
- 52:09Speaker 2: nido at Mix one O two nine FM. At Mix
- 52:12Speaker 2: one two nine FM, what else do we got? What
- 52:14Speaker 2: do we need?
- 52:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good question. Well, I said, maybe you know,
- 52:17Speaker 3: we should take up a new you know, hobby like golf.
- 52:21Speaker 3: Maybe we could do some golf clubs.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Okay, we're a golf cart.
- 52:24Speaker 3: It would be nice coming.
- 52:25Speaker 2: In right now. At Mix one nine FM. At Mix
- 52:28Speaker 2: one O two nine FM, I did get one for
- 52:31Speaker 2: I have a big wheel. Somebody said they have a
- 52:33Speaker 2: big wheel. Oh that's interesting. I like the idea of
- 52:36Speaker 2: a big wheel.
- 52:37Speaker 4: What is that?
- 52:38Speaker 2: We have a big wheel. We have two three wheel bikes.
- 52:41Speaker 2: You know. Oh okay, what do we really need? Can this?
- 52:44Speaker 3: Yeah? Well we mentioned on Instagram over the weekend, maybe
- 52:47Speaker 3: like an above ground pool. We could have a pool
- 52:49Speaker 3: party out front the radio station.
- 52:52Speaker 4: No.
- 52:52Speaker 2: Rachel in four Worth says, I will trade you an
- 52:55Speaker 2: hour and a half long massage.
- 52:57Speaker 3: WHOA, that's nice? Like for each of us?
- 53:01Speaker 2: Oh, let me ask you.
- 53:02Speaker 3: Do I have to split it?
- 53:03Speaker 2: An hour and a half long massage? Is that for
- 53:06Speaker 2: all three of us? Or do we have to share?
- 53:08Speaker 3: That would be about thirty minutes.
- 53:10Speaker 2: You know what, I don't like massages. I hate massages.
- 53:12Speaker 3: Your thirty minutes?
- 53:13Speaker 2: Do you want my thirty minutes? Yeah?
- 53:15Speaker 3: Give me your thirty minutes.
- 53:17Speaker 2: But what do I get out of this?
- 53:18Speaker 3: You get to I don't know. You get to be
- 53:21Speaker 3: how quiet time by yourself in the other room.
- 53:23Speaker 2: I think I'd rather have a copy bar. All right,
- 53:27Speaker 2: thank you.
- 53:27Speaker 3: Rachel wants to trade her Stanley Stanley.
- 53:31Speaker 2: Yes, we have fourteen of them over here. Okay, this
- 53:34Speaker 2: is already, Kenna says, thirteen Stanley's. Yeah, okay, oh okay,
- 53:41Speaker 2: I don't. Renee said she would trade fresh homemade to Molly's.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Oh okay, girl, Oh like that?
- 53:50Speaker 2: Hold up fresh homemade to Molly's. It depends on where
- 53:54Speaker 2: can we get them, Like, let me see, so let
- 53:55Speaker 2: me see where she's from, because I don't trust everybody's cooking.
- 53:58Speaker 2: Hold on, let me talk you back. Do you have cats?
- 54:00Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 54:01Speaker 2: Because pool won't cats? Cats I'm not eating. Do you
- 54:04Speaker 2: have cats to Molly's for sure? No, she's typing dots. No,
- 54:09Speaker 2: she does not have cats. Okay, okay. Oh and she's
- 54:13Speaker 2: from Grand Prairie. Oh GP, Yeah, okay.
- 54:16Speaker 1: GP, ladies, that's what we got so far.
- 54:19Speaker 2: At Mix one of two nine FM, we're doing tradio
- 54:21Speaker 2: radio our way online. Okay, you got something else coming in.
- 54:25Speaker 3: They're coming in the other account. This person said, I
- 54:28Speaker 3: can trade a brand new kids bike.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I don't want to teach your kids, I know.
- 54:34Speaker 3: This person said, I'll give you my house. Matthew.
- 54:36Speaker 2: What are you doing, Matthew, what kind of house?
- 54:39Speaker 3: Yeah, let's see what town you're in for sure.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Okay, well, either way, keep them coming. At Mix one
- 54:44Speaker 2: of two nine FM, we're getting some good stuff. This
- 54:48Speaker 2: is gonna be good. We're not done. Keep them coming.
- 54:50Speaker 2: Tradio radio is on for these needles and mystery dumplings,
- 54:54Speaker 2: bailing a kid. Candice Lopez is your producer. Pooh is here.
- 54:57Speaker 2: We are giving away needles and mystery dumplings, doing trade radio.
- 55:00Speaker 2: But of course none of the request lines are working
- 55:03Speaker 2: on the one day where we need them to work,
- 55:04Speaker 2: because Poo's in charge of the request lines. Literally since
- 55:10Speaker 2: five thirty am, we've been trying to get the request
- 55:12Speaker 2: lines to work, and we don't know what's going on.
- 55:14Speaker 2: So but we're not we're not stopping. No, we're giving
- 55:18Speaker 2: these away no matter what before the end of the show.
- 55:19Speaker 2: We've just had to pivot, as they would say in
- 55:21Speaker 2: corporate America, We've had to pivot. We'll circle back. Tradio Radio,
- 55:27Speaker 2: what would you trade us for these needles and these
- 55:30Speaker 2: mystery dumplings that everybody wants? Tradio Radio is on and
- 55:33Speaker 2: some good ones coming in at Mix one of two
- 55:35Speaker 2: nine FM on Instagram at Mix one of two nine FM.
- 55:37Speaker 2: You know what, somebody could probably win if they trade me,
- 55:39Speaker 2: because I would be heavily influenced in a bottle of
- 55:42Speaker 2: tequila right now because I'm telling you what I needed
- 55:45Speaker 2: after today. Oh I think Pooh needs it.
- 55:49Speaker 3: Too, Yes, I do I need it too. Just pass
- 55:52Speaker 3: it over.
- 55:52Speaker 2: Jannis one is coming in because we've had so far.
- 55:54Speaker 2: What are those things called the Kathy Barra?
- 55:56Speaker 3: A Kathy Barra?
- 55:57Speaker 2: Somebody wants to trade us that? Yeah, I don't know
- 56:00Speaker 2: if I can do any more live animals. We got
- 56:01Speaker 2: a goat last time.
- 56:02Speaker 3: Well, Irin says she has a chicken, so we can
- 56:04Speaker 3: have fresh eggs every day for the hard little breakfast
- 56:07Speaker 3: that you guys can't stand the smell of.
- 56:09Speaker 2: Well, you know what a chicken. I don't know.
- 56:10Speaker 3: That's a strong contender. I've wanted a chicken for a
- 56:12Speaker 3: long time.
- 56:13Speaker 2: Can I have a pet chicken? And Carrollton?
- 56:15Speaker 3: I mean no, but just do it.
- 56:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, who's going to keep the chicken?
- 56:19Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 56:19Speaker 2: Well are you keeping the chicken? Bit?
- 56:21Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 56:21Speaker 2: Who lives in an apartment? So that's ooh, the chicken
- 56:24Speaker 2: might be a finalist so far.
- 56:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean. Kevin says he'll put gas in our
- 56:28Speaker 3: cars for us.
- 56:30Speaker 2: Oh wow, Kevin, Yeah, that's good. Seven hundred dollars.
- 56:33Speaker 3: Oh yeah, planning offers for people to cook for us
- 56:36Speaker 3: for a Nonda says she will make Brazilian food. We
- 56:38Speaker 3: got an offer for someone to make.
- 56:39Speaker 4: Gumbo for us.
- 56:41Speaker 3: Okay, to trade their kids.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Somebody offered to trade their kids.
- 56:45Speaker 3: But then you don't need the need if you're a kid.
- 56:48Speaker 2: If you trade your kid, then what do yeah, what
- 56:49Speaker 2: do you need.
- 56:50Speaker 3: The needo for unless they're just going to do chores
- 56:52Speaker 3: housework for us?
- 56:53Speaker 2: Okay, anything else that we got.
- 56:55Speaker 3: Cassandra has a power tool that accidentally got delivered to
- 56:58Speaker 3: her house. She says it's pretty expensive, a pair. She
- 57:01Speaker 3: doesn't know what it is. A power Yeah, a mystery
- 57:05Speaker 3: power tool for a mystery dumpling.
- 57:07Speaker 2: That might be a good. See. I do like a
- 57:08Speaker 2: good mystery box. And sure you know, we have to
- 57:11Speaker 2: guess what's in there. And it's a mystery for us.
- 57:13Speaker 2: That's good, Okay, A mystery power tool. Well, she's not
- 57:16Speaker 2: gonna send it back.
- 57:17Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 57:18Speaker 2: Oh, she's living a lawless she's waiting to see if we.
- 57:21Speaker 3: Want it before she sends it back. But I didn't
- 57:24Speaker 3: see anything. Nothing to see here.
- 57:25Speaker 2: Don't know what it is though. Yeah, all right, we're
- 57:27Speaker 2: gonna pick somebody. But for the show at Mix one
- 57:28Speaker 2: of two nine FM. At Mix one of two nine FM,
- 57:32Speaker 2: I'm trying to think about something that would really get
- 57:34Speaker 2: us right. Because the chicken is good. I think the
- 57:36Speaker 2: chicken so far is in the lead.
- 57:38Speaker 3: That's the most useful option for us right now, because
- 57:41Speaker 3: we do eat a lot of hardbuled eggs. E.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Because we don't need it. We don't need expensive, we
- 57:44Speaker 2: need interesting.
- 57:46Speaker 3: Unique, we need unique, We need something.
- 57:48Speaker 2: Functional, something different that would make for good content moving forward,
- 57:52Speaker 2: because Candace would have to take care of this chicken.
- 57:55Speaker 2: Do you have a chicken coop? Candace?
- 57:56Speaker 3: No, well does it come with the chicken coop? Iris?
- 57:59Speaker 3: Let me know pretty sure.
- 58:03Speaker 2: Where do you think you're gonna keep the chicken?
- 58:04Speaker 3: I mean in my backyard? Do you I got a
- 58:07Speaker 3: pretty big backyard, and my neighbors have low ki chickens.
- 58:10Speaker 3: They're not supposed to.
- 58:11Speaker 2: So wait, you're not supposed to have chickens.
- 58:14Speaker 3: What are those people that do? Someone in our neighborhood
- 58:16Speaker 3: as a peacock?
- 58:17Speaker 2: Oh?
- 58:18Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 58:19Speaker 2: You know what, I would want a duck, you would.
- 58:22Speaker 2: I would love to have a pet duck. I wanted
- 58:24Speaker 2: a duck for years.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Oh you don't like goose geese?
- 58:28Speaker 3: No, no golf lessons, David says, will give us golf lessons.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Okay, that's pretty good, David, Yeah that is. I don't know.
- 58:35Speaker 2: You've probably quit after one time with us once you
- 58:38Speaker 2: see poohs swing okay, all right? At Mix one two
- 58:43Speaker 2: nine FM. At Mix one O two nine FM, trade
- 58:45Speaker 2: us right now for these needles and Mystery Dumplings.
- 58:49Speaker 5: Is Tough Stories on the Tents with Billy the Kid
- 58:51Speaker 5: in the.
- 58:51Speaker 4: Morning only on the new mixed one or two point now.
- 58:55Speaker 2: But we're giving away these needles every days and mystery
- 58:57Speaker 2: dumplings every day. People want them so bad. We're doing
- 59:00Speaker 2: tradio radio. So what we you trade at Mix one
- 59:02Speaker 2: of two nine FM today we're doing it on Instagram
- 59:04Speaker 2: because our phones are going crazy. But yeah, at Mix
- 59:07Speaker 2: one of two nine FM at Cantus before you do
- 59:09Speaker 2: text to stop story. Some of the good, good trades
- 59:11Speaker 2: are coming in. Yeah, round of golf at Pecan Hollow
- 59:14Speaker 2: with me. Oh, I think that's Rye Boosey. Find his
- 59:18Speaker 2: name is? That could be good?
- 59:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:20Speaker 4: Uh.
- 59:20Speaker 2: Arianna said she would trade her brother.
- 59:23Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, oh Liz phones.
- 59:26Speaker 2: Liz said, signed MAVs player jersey from Sean Marion.
- 59:29Speaker 3: Oh like that.
- 59:32Speaker 2: Stephanie said, free tickets to Plant Bingo hosted by Social Greenhouse.
- 59:37Speaker 3: Oh that sounds fun. I'm talking about playing bingo.
- 59:39Speaker 2: You know what's funny is I knew I knew katus
- 59:41Speaker 2: is gonna get it. Yeah, today's plant Bingo. Elizabeth said
- 59:47Speaker 2: she would trade the penny her daughter swallowed. It's the
- 59:50Speaker 2: most expensive penny ever, so they must have got it out.
- 59:54Speaker 3: We could have that twenty thousand dollars. She said, it
- 59:56Speaker 3: costs what yeah, yeah, to get out.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Can't you just I don't know.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: You must have had some kind of procedure.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Wow, okay, well you know what, we'll put that in
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: the running. We'll pick it before the show's over. So
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: you got time at Mix one of two nine FM
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: on Instagram at Mix one of two nine FM. Candice,
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: what's going on?
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: Well, the votes were counted in this weekend's election. Dart
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: services will be coming to an end in Highland Park
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: this month. They will continue in Addison and University Park.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: So you know, Plano announced their intention to leave this alliance,
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: saying it's tax contributions weren't worth the benefits to residents. Well, Plano,
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: Farmers Branch and Irving initially had those elections planned, but
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: canceled them after renegotiating their agreements. Highland Park, though voting
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: not to continue. So buses will stop operating through Highland Park.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: But well, they'll go through Highland Park, but we won't
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: stop in Highland Park.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: Sale. It's kind of like me, Yeah, you can go through,
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: but you can't stop because if you're not just rich enough,
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: you actually get kicked out immediately.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: This is expected to take effect May fifteenth, and if
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: you haven't heard about this, McDonald's is quietly getting rid
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: of their self serve soda fountains. So their plan is
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: to completely get rid of these by twenty thirty two.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: That would mean that they are only behind the counter.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: So they're saying this will help modernize restaurants, reduce maintenance
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: and labor demands, and really you know, help them adapt
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: to the demand for drive through delivery and takeout, which
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: is you know a lot of people these days.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: I mean, you're trying to make everything automated, but then
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: I have to give my cup to an employee right
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: to go fill it up.
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: That's so confusing because we only have the kiosks at
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: the one by my house. Like to get a human
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: there at the counter, is it takes a while?
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: You got you got to hit the bell, yeah, yell
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: to get a human yep. And then I got to
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: get a refill that we just leave the machines out right.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: Yeah. They say this would give them more control of
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: reportion sizes, cleanliness and inventory and you know, stop people
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: from taking their water cup and putting soda in it.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Did you see what the New Zealand McDonald's is doing No,
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: they're coming out with a mcmullet cheeseburger.
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: What is that.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: I'm not this not a joke. The mcmullet cheeseburger, one
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: slice of cheese hangs off in the back, no, to
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: where it looks like a mullet. And they're really doing
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: it to just cause a little social viral moment. Okay,
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: where the cheeseburger has a mullet. Okay, yeah, well bring
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: that to mesquite.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: Make your own, yeah for sure, real quick, guys, post
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Malone canceled the start of his upcoming tour. Six shows
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: were part of this, including his shows here in Texas.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: That tour is now going to kick off June twelfth
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: in Indianapolis. So he's saying it needs more time to
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: finish his double album before this tour starts. You know,
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: a lot of people have been saying this could have
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: something to do with low ticket sales, which we've been
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: hearing for weeks. Half these stadiums, you know, are not
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: sold yet.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: I know see people online going, oh, it's low ticket
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: sales and kind of making fun of him. I'm like, well,
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: even if it is, it's not his fault. No, if
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: anything it's like, well, people don't have disposable income right
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: now when gas is seventeen dollars a gallon.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: Yeah, we're about to hit a record.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: And I'm not it's gonna go all the way to
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Waco and spend all this money to go see him,
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: right It's it's tough right now for people to just
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: throw away. And concerts are expensive.
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: They are some of these shows. We're even offering discounted
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: tickets recently. But he says, you know, he promised the
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: new music, doesn't have time to finish it, so he's
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: just not ready to tour. So we'll push it back
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: three weeks. That'll help him get the music done. So
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to the new music either way.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: I know. And when you're an artist, you don't want
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: to go from stadium to arenas. But to me, there's
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: nothing wrong with that.
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: No, I'd be happy with it.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: Do it arena showing, dickies, do it American Airlines.
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: One hundred percent, do both. I'd go, Yeah, I would too.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: All right, I'm Kanda Slopez. Those are your Texas top
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: stories on.
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: Get it off your test.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: You promise you'll feel better.
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: I need a drink, right? Is that my dirty little secret?
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: I'm drinking right now. I'm just kidding. Let's not do that,
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: all right, dirty little secret? Eight three three seven eight
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: seven one o two nine. Usually you can call us
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: where they're working on the request lines right now or Instagram.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: Either way, tell us your secret. Go ahead and confess.
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: I do. I've been going back and forth on calling
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: you guys, but I really don't have anyone to talk
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: to about this.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: So well, that's what we're here for. It's a non
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: judgment zone. What is going on in your world?
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: Well, I've been married, and we've only been married a
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: couple of years, so it's still pretty new. And from
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: the beginning of we both wanted the same thing, like
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: a family with kids, you know, a big house full
- 1:04:23Speaker 6: of noise, and that was always a part of the
- 1:04:26Speaker 6: plan for both of us. And because it hadn't worked
- 1:04:29Speaker 6: out that way, we've been trying and trying and trying,
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: and nothing has happened. And at first I thought it
- 1:04:37Speaker 6: was me, so I got tested and I went through
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: all the emotions, like something's wrong with my body. I'm
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: like broken, I'm something's not happening right, And and then
- 1:04:47Speaker 6: we found out it's not me, it's him.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: Oh okay, And.
- 1:04:52Speaker 6: I don't even think he realizes how much that changed
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: everything for me. And I tried to be supportive and
- 1:04:56Speaker 6: I love him. I loved him so much and he's
- 1:04:59Speaker 6: a good man, he's a good husband, and it's not
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: as fault. But I feel like, ever since I found out,
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: like there's this quig weight on me and I can't
- 1:05:06Speaker 6: shake it. And I I've always pictured myself as a mom.
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: I've always wanted kids. I wanted that life with my
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: husband and to have my kids in my house. And
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: so it's just like, this can't happen now.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: I know it's a lot of emotions, but and I'm
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: not saying this is the same, but I know there's
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: other you know, there's adoption. There's other things that you
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: could do.
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: My friends, yes, I mean we've discussed adoption. I'm not
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: against it.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: But if I'm being completely honest, I don't know if
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: I'll feel the same way. Yeah, And I feel awful
- 1:05:42Speaker 6: saying that, but that's how I feel. And I can't
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: deny that I feel that way. And this is a
- 1:05:48Speaker 6: part of like what makes me feel like I might
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: be the worst wife in the world or worst person
- 1:05:53Speaker 6: in the world. And I just know that I know
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: myself and i'd be lying if if, like, if I
- 1:05:59Speaker 6: say this is okay, because like I said, this has
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: always been my dream and I have thought about leaving him. Oh,
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: and I haven't said it, and I haven't even come
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: close because I love him and it's like, not his fault,
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: but it's crossed my mind that maybe I should move on.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: But I'm like, hold on, hold on, So you're thinking
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: about actually leap okay, and I'm not. It's a non
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: judgment zone. You're thinking about leaving him over this.
- 1:06:27Speaker 6: Well, I do want to have kids of my own,
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: and I don't know what else to do because I
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: do love him and I love the life that we're
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: building together, but it's not working out, and I just
- 1:06:38Speaker 6: feel like it's flipping away what I wanted.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: I mean, is it not working out? Or is this
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: the plan? The bigger plan that you know? Sometimes you
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: just can't control these things. And obviously it's not his fault.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: I can't tell you what's right or wrong. There's a
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: difference between going, oh, you know what, I can't. I
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: can't say this has never crossed my mind and I'm
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: actually going to do this. Yeah, there's two different things.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: So I mean, I guess it just depends on you
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: if you love them. I just feel like there's no
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: way you can leave them over this.
- 1:07:10Speaker 6: I don't feel like I can leave them either. But
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: I'm just like hurting myself and I'm like, how do
- 1:07:14Speaker 6: I agree without hurting him from keeping everything to myself?
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: Have you two talked about it, maybe possibly doing counseling
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: or something like that together, because this is a big deal.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't hold it inside, but also sharing that
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: with him is going to just break his heart even worse.
- 1:07:30Speaker 6: Yeah, I guess we will have to go to counseling
- 1:07:32Speaker 6: because I don't know what to do from here because
- 1:07:34Speaker 6: I'm just questioning everything and feeling like a terrible person.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: Because think about it, you leave Let's say you know
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: you've thought about it, you leave him, you get with
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: somebody else, you have kids, you think years down the road,
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: you're not going to look back and go I mean, yeah,
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: I'm glad i'm a mom, but I can't believe I
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: left a man that I love right and love because
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: of something that he can't control. Yeah, if these were
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: switched around, and it was a man calling up and saying,
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: I'm leaving my wife because she can't have kids. I
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: think people would be in an uproar and everybody feels
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: different now that you're saying it, right, And I don't
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: think you're a bad person. I'm just saying I would
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: really talk to somebody before you let that thought get
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: out of control or take over reason.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: I mean, to process your how you're feeling before you
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: just jump and make some type of decision that you
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: can't turn back.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: You know, because he's going through all this too, Yeah,
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: he probably feels so guilty and evasculated, like.
- 1:08:29Speaker 6: You know, it's just horrible. I wish that things were different,
- 1:08:33Speaker 6: but they're not, so I have to just face what
- 1:08:36Speaker 6: we have going on.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: Well, and some people would be, you know, take the
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: route of this just wasn't meant to be. It wasn't
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: meant for me to have kids. You know. It's a
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: tough pill to swallow, it is when you've dreamed of that.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I know so many people, So many people go,
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: especially women, They feel like their main reason they're here
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: is to be a mom. So if that can't happen,
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: I get why you feel like there's a big part
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: of you missing for.
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: Sure, but you definitely can't. You guys can't work through
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: this on your own. I would definitely seek professional help
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: do that.
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: Thank you, thank you so much.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: Good luck with everything and let us know what happens
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: and hang in there.
- 1:09:15Speaker 6: Okay, okay, thank you so much.
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: You're welcome, and I gotta say thank you to everyone.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: This is why I love our listeners, because I'm getting
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: DM after DM after DM going, here's how she can
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: do something about this, go to this doctor or people
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: who've been in this situation. I am going to send
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: her all of this info.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: So as I don't know what option she's explored or
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: has it, I don't know. It's kind of sensitive to
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: ask you.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: And I don't on air exactly, so you know what,
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: I'm gonna get all this info. Thank you for sending
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: on Instagram. I'm gonna get to her and hopefully they
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: can work something out. We're about to get out of here. First, though,
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: we got to announce the winner for today's Tradio Radio.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: I'm mixed one on two point nine. Who is going
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: to win the Neido or the Mystery Dumpling? I guess
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: we'll let them pick which one they want.
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: Okay, that's fair.
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: I'm excited about it. We've had so many good entries
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: on Fortunately today the request lines weren't working. Tomorrow, I'm
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: sure they'll be up and running by tomorrow.
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: Yeah, knock on wood.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: Knock on wood. We'll see. I love how Poso confident.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna make sure that happened.
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: Well, you should have made sure today.
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: Then we just get a landline. We have this high
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: tech phone, syste let's get an old school phone.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: Just give me that phone. I'll be happy with it
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: either way. You're going to at mix one of two
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: nine AFM on Instagram to tell us what you would
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: trade and if you entered something. By the way, you're
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: still in the running. We're logging all this so yeah,
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: I mean you're still you're still in it. We have
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: all week to do this. We're just gonna pick a
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: winner each day, so tomorrow we might do it on
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: the request lines. But we're gonna keep in mind all
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: the stuff that people have because look, you want to
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: hear some of the stuff. Yeah, these needles. Everybody wants
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: these needles. If you don't know what they are, it's
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: like a little squishy toy that people are waiting in
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: five hour long lines for paying one hundreds of dollars
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: for see this is a good one. A Heidi set
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: of Pokemon collection.
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: Oh that might be worth money exactly.
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Oh, David sit golf lessons. That's been on the list
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: of making it to the fine.
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: Are we cool?
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: Chrissy said, two pet ducks.
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: You did say you wanted a duck.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: No, I don't know if I can handle two pet ducks.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Kevin said, okay, now this is interesting. Kevin said, a
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: care bear fuggler, which I don't know what that is?
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: Can I say fuggler on the radio?
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: I think so?
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: All right? And a box of toenail clippings.
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: Oo our past I take the care bear instead.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: Carmen said a VHS player.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Oh, we could watch your old home videos when you
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: were little.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: That's a good one too. But you know what, I
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: think we've come to a conclusion of who's going to
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: win today?
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I think we have.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: Should we announce who will win the NIDO for today?
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: The winner for Monday is Can I get a drum roll? Please?
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: Can't just go ahead?
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: Iris?
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: Reward your chicken.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: Now we have a show chicken. Thank you to Iris
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: in Joshua. She said, you know what, Cannice need.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: Some more eggs, Yeah, hard boiled eggs. On the daily.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: She eats hard boiled eggs every single day, sometimes seven
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: to eight eggs a day. And we couldn't turn it down.
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: We could not turn the chicken down. So now you
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: have to go to Joshua and get your chicken.
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: Okay, She's send me pictures of them, so I guess
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: I get to take my pick. Wow, they're cute. Okay,
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: So there's a little goat there hanging out with them.
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: All These are happy chickens, all.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: Right, happy chickens, happy eggs. Yeah, So thank you and
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: congrats to Iris. That's a big deal. I will say this, though,
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: I think we're done.
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: With live analysts probably, so.
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: We have a goat, we have a chicken. I think
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: that's all we can handle.
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean eggs. What beats that?
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: God, I do want it. I did want the ducks, though,
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: I don't know if I could turn the ducks down.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: They're still in the running. Yeah, but what am I
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: gonna do with two ducks?
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: Well, that's a commitment. They need each other to be friends.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: I know I can't break them up, right, all right?
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: Either way, we'll do it again tomorrow morning, eight thirty.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: But congratulations to Iris
