- 0:21Speaker 1: You are listening to Eagles postgame analysis here at the
- 0:23Speaker 1: Philadelphia Sports Table podcast show, the longest running weekly Philly
- 0:26Speaker 1: sports podcast show in the world. Week seven of the
- 0:30Speaker 1: Philadelphia Eagles twenty twenty four twenty twenty five season.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Now in the books.
- 0:35Speaker 1: They beat the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in
- 0:38Speaker 1: their house on the road by a score of twenty
- 0:41Speaker 1: eight to three. Absolutely dominated them in the rushing game.
- 0:45Speaker 1: We're gonna be getting into it. We're gonna be given
- 0:48Speaker 1: our grades, as you know, after we get into some
- 0:51Speaker 1: of the themes of this game. I'm Jeff Warren. I'm
- 0:53Speaker 1: here by good buddy Matt Rogers from the Honorable Mention Podcast.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I listen on Apple Podcast. He's also on YouTube tube
- 1:00Speaker 1: as well. Search out the Honorable Mention Podcast. Great great
- 1:03Speaker 1: content has always on YouTube.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I'm trying to.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Run up the views on YouTube. Check me out over there, folks.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Absolutely absolutely, buddy, this is great.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Not only great talking to you, but man, when the
- 1:15Speaker 1: Philadelphia Eagles can put up two hundred and seventy total
- 1:17Speaker 1: rushing yards on any team in the NFL, I'm very
- 1:20Speaker 1: happy about it.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:22Speaker 3: You're gonna have to limit me here because there's so
- 1:24Speaker 3: many themes there are, you know, so when you get
- 1:27Speaker 3: to themes, we might want to say, like a cap
- 1:29Speaker 3: because I wrote a ton It was like you were
- 1:32Speaker 3: saying right before we hit record, Jev. It's like, you know,
- 1:35Speaker 3: I hope you're ready to go after this one. I'm like, well,
- 1:38Speaker 3: this one is. This is as easy as it gets
- 1:40Speaker 3: for folks who do this kind of thing.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Exactly, exactly, obviously, though, obviously, the first and most prevalent
- 1:47Speaker 1: theme of this week seven Philadelphia Eagles game against the
- 1:50Speaker 1: Giants was not only the rushing attack, but Saquon Barkley
- 1:54Speaker 1: just going absolutely crazy on the ground seventeen yards for
- 1:58Speaker 1: one hundred and seventy seventeen carries for one hundred and
- 2:02Speaker 1: seventy six yards ten point four yards per carry. He
- 2:06Speaker 1: is consistently breaking off long, long rushes. He had a touchdown,
- 2:10Speaker 1: His long was fifty five yards, and it was just
- 2:14Speaker 1: great to see in the second quarter that over fifty
- 2:18Speaker 1: yard bolt that he had followed it up with three
- 2:20Speaker 1: yard touchdown run against his former team. And I think
- 2:24Speaker 1: what's interesting about Saquon Barkley here, Matt is the fact
- 2:28Speaker 1: that he's had rushes of fifty five plus yards in
- 2:31Speaker 1: three of his last four games. So a little bit
- 2:34Speaker 1: of context. If you take a look at last season
- 2:36Speaker 1: twenty thirteen, no NFL running back had more than three
- 2:41Speaker 1: rushes of fifty five plus yards. During the entire twenty
- 2:46Speaker 1: twenty three season, Saquon Barkley is here on this Eagles table.
- 2:50Speaker 1: It is he's making a difference. They signed him to
- 2:53Speaker 1: that big contract, and some of us, even myself and included,
- 2:56Speaker 1: were like, Oh my gosh, I can't believe this happened.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Can't believe how he wanted to go in this direction, folks.
- 3:00Speaker 1: This is the reason why we're seeing the results here
- 3:03Speaker 1: in games like this. I thought this was going to
- 3:05Speaker 1: be a closer game. I really did. Thought the Eagles
- 3:07Speaker 1: would pull it out. Thought there was a possibility they
- 3:10Speaker 1: could potentially lose this game because this Giants defense has
- 3:13Speaker 1: been so good. But the Eagles dominated even on defense
- 3:15Speaker 1: as well, which we're gonna get to. But Saquon Barkley
- 3:18Speaker 1: the top theme I think coming out of this particular
- 3:21Speaker 1: matchup here Matt and just how he dominated his old
- 3:24Speaker 1: team and really really shoved it right up their ass.
- 3:26Speaker 2: To be honest with you, it was really nice to see.
- 3:29Speaker 3: I want to get back to Saquon. I'm sure we'll
- 3:31Speaker 3: get back to Saquon. And I have a thought larger,
- 3:34Speaker 3: kind of global point about the running back position later,
- 3:36Speaker 3: but I wanted to give a quick shout out while
- 3:39Speaker 3: my son comes in to shout out.
- 3:41Speaker 4: The Eagles defense as well.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Yes that I have absolutely killed these guys on multiple occasions. Yes, today,
- 3:49Speaker 3: after the first quarter, they gave up thirty three total
- 3:52Speaker 3: yards in the first half, seventy six third quarter, one
- 3:57Speaker 3: hundred and four. The Giant New York Giants football team
- 4:00Speaker 3: today professional football team gained one hundred and seventeen yards today.
- 4:05Speaker 2: That's so that's it.
- 4:06Speaker 3: I don't care if you're playing Pop Warner. One hundred
- 4:10Speaker 3: and seventeen yards and so that's you know, I, you
- 4:13Speaker 3: know I definitely if you listened to the last week's
- 4:15Speaker 3: postgame show, I did not give them much credit because
- 4:18Speaker 3: I do think Deshaun Watson sucks and something happened today
- 4:21Speaker 3: and people will have thoughts about that, but I I
- 4:26Speaker 3: have to say, two weeks in a row completely dominating guys,
- 4:31Speaker 3: and what seven sacks today?
- 4:32Speaker 4: Eighty seven eight sacks.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Eight Alex Hunt in the house, baby, Bryce huff Ex yes.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Yes, yes, Bryce hoff with his best game of the
- 4:43Speaker 1: season so far. And we got to say, because we've
- 4:45Speaker 1: been killing Bryce Off. Everybody's been killing Bryce Off, and
- 4:48Speaker 1: with good reason. But the fact of the matter is,
- 4:52Speaker 1: and by the way, Nolan Smith, he ended up getting
- 4:54Speaker 1: the start at outside linebacker over Bryce Huff to start
- 4:57Speaker 1: this game here. Bryce Huff did not play a terrible game.
- 5:02Speaker 1: He was getting multiple pressures, multiple pressures.
- 5:05Speaker 2: On Daniel Jones.
- 5:07Speaker 1: And look, folks, I understand Andrew Thomas not being there
- 5:10Speaker 1: was huge for the offensive line with the New York Giants.
- 5:13Speaker 1: It was huge for Daniel Jones as well. But still,
- 5:15Speaker 1: you know you're playing professional sports here, you're playing a
- 5:18Speaker 1: professional football team. Absolutely, you do have to adapt. The
- 5:21Speaker 1: Eagles didn't have Jordan Malatta. They did adapt Fred Johnson
- 5:25Speaker 1: looking terrible.
- 5:27Speaker 5: What are we talking about, yes, Mkai, Beckton Johnson. Yes,
- 5:32Speaker 5: but if you're not one of us, folks, like even
- 5:35Speaker 5: people who love your show, Jeff, like they're still like
- 5:38Speaker 5: Fred who, Yes, wait, not Lane.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Lane didn't play left tackle to day, Jeff, No.
- 5:44Speaker 2: It was Fred. It was Fred who. Did you know?
- 5:48Speaker 1: He had some hiccups, but he also had some nice
- 5:50Speaker 1: plays too. Mkai Beckten going out forgot to mention the
- 5:52Speaker 1: injuries right off the bat, McKai Beckton going out, Tyler
- 5:55Speaker 1: Steen coming in for him. So it's not like the
- 5:57Speaker 1: Eagles offensive line was, you know, on all cylinders here,
- 6:01Speaker 1: Matt and.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Yeah, Fred got put in the lazy boy a couple of.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Times he did not, Yes, he did.
- 6:06Speaker 6: I love that the phrase. That's the first time I
- 6:09Speaker 6: ever heard that. That's great in terms of the football context.
- 6:12Speaker 6: But really the Eagles defense, Yes, Eagles defense coming up
- 6:19Speaker 6: with eight sacks. Got to give credit to Kobe Dean
- 6:21Speaker 6: for two of those, Jalen Carter with two of those sacks,
- 6:24Speaker 6: Nolan Smith with a sack, Bryce Huff with a sack.
- 6:28Speaker 6: You've got Josh Sweat, and Jylex Hunt as Matt mentioned,
- 6:31Speaker 6: both of those gentlemen with his sack as well. Nakobe
- 6:35Speaker 6: Dean man.
- 6:35Speaker 1: At the top of this Eagles defensive depth tracks. Yes,
- 6:39Speaker 1: two sacks, two tackles for lost. Here he four quarterback
- 6:43Speaker 1: hits by the way, in eleven total tackles.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Nikobe Dean came to play today.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Hell yeah, uh? And Quenjon Mitchell.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I mean Quyon Mitchell if he gets If Quanjon Mitchell
- 6:54Speaker 3: gets himself two three four picks here this season.
- 6:57Speaker 4: He's a pro bowler.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I mean, Quanyon Mitchell is abs absolutely just strapping guys up.
- 7:02Speaker 3: And I've seen these Giants wide receivers make plays. Where
- 7:05Speaker 3: was Wandale Robinson today? Yeah, exact Lyndale Robinson has made
- 7:09Speaker 3: plays this season. And you got to give some credit
- 7:11Speaker 3: to the Philadelphia Eagles. I mean, and I've killed him,
- 7:14Speaker 3: You've killed them this season. But yes, today and in
- 7:19Speaker 3: the Saints game, they showed up to play. And these
- 7:21Speaker 3: are bad teams, but a lot of times who you're
- 7:23Speaker 3: playing in the NFL.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Absolutely, yeah, yes, absolutely. You mentioned Wondale Robinson. He had
- 7:28Speaker 1: nine targets today. He was the most targeted New York
- 7:31Speaker 1: Giants wide receiver. Nine targets, came down with six balls
- 7:35Speaker 1: for twenty three yards three point eight yards per reception.
- 7:40Speaker 1: That's saying something about this Eagles secondary who we're going
- 7:43Speaker 1: to be grading toward the end of this show. We're
- 7:46Speaker 1: certainly going to get to that. But what are some
- 7:48Speaker 1: other themes here, Matt that you specifically wanted to get
- 7:50Speaker 1: into anything with regard to maybe the start of the
- 7:55Speaker 1: game or anything else.
- 7:58Speaker 3: The start of the game, Let's where do I go
- 8:03Speaker 3: first downs. First downs was a big thing, big theme
- 8:06Speaker 3: of our conversation today. We continue to, you know, outside
- 8:11Speaker 3: of these splash plays, which are always exciting, and it's
- 8:14Speaker 3: always kind of weird to say, oh yeah, without a
- 8:16Speaker 3: fifty five yard run from Saquon, you know, this would
- 8:19Speaker 3: be a close game, but it is.
- 8:20Speaker 4: It does feel like that.
- 8:21Speaker 3: It's like between the twenties, the Eagles don't have much trouble.
- 8:25Speaker 3: It's you know, it's punching it in. Today they really
- 8:28Speaker 3: made it happen. I really love that they they just
- 8:31Speaker 3: said screw it, just like they did at a certain point.
- 8:33Speaker 3: They have a game game plan, and at a certain
- 8:37Speaker 3: point they're just like, hey, you guys can't stop you know,
- 8:41Speaker 3: a toddler from getting five yards of carry.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Yeah, so so.
- 8:45Speaker 4: They just hammered them. I love that the Eagles just
- 8:48Speaker 4: stuck to it.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Yep, right, yeah, absolutely, Look, we have to be honest.
- 8:53Speaker 1: It was another terrible start in the first quarter. Continuous
- 8:56Speaker 1: slow starts to these Eagles games. Even after seven weeks here,
- 9:02Speaker 1: it's consistent week after week, nothing has changed. The Eagles
- 9:05Speaker 1: first seven plays against the Giants resulted in a total
- 9:09Speaker 1: of eight yards. I mean that's including Jalen Hurts getting
- 9:11Speaker 1: sacked in the negative yardage From that, the Eagles have
- 9:14Speaker 1: still not scored a point in the first quarter throughout
- 9:17Speaker 1: this entire season. It's astonishing to me these slow starts.
- 9:21Speaker 1: And I understand what Nick Sirianni is saying his press
- 9:23Speaker 1: conferences past week. We know what we make those adjustments,
- 9:26Speaker 1: you know, we figure things out. How about we try
- 9:29Speaker 1: to come out of the gate on fire, Nick, That's
- 9:32Speaker 1: what I would really like to see. And I think
- 9:34Speaker 1: it was maybe the culmination of the storyline two Matt
- 9:38Speaker 1: of Saquon Barkley, kind of bringing it back to Saquon,
- 9:41Speaker 1: bringing it back to the rushing attack. Maybe it was
- 9:43Speaker 1: the storyline that really led things this week, because the
- 9:47Speaker 1: more and more I am looking at this Eagles offense,
- 9:50Speaker 1: it seems as though they really have become a run
- 9:54Speaker 1: first offense that can also just rip off explosive plays
- 9:57Speaker 1: at any moment. I texted you this, and they really
- 10:01Speaker 1: do rely heavily on that. In fact, they lead the
- 10:03Speaker 1: league in those type of explosive plays. But they're just
- 10:06Speaker 1: not a consistent offense when they are a pass first
- 10:09Speaker 1: type of offense. I don't know how much of a
- 10:11Speaker 1: problem that could be for the future. But when you
- 10:14Speaker 1: have Saquon Barkley able to do what he did today,
- 10:16Speaker 1: and I know he's not going to put up one
- 10:18Speaker 1: hundred and seventy six yards every single game.
- 10:20Speaker 2: I know that, folks.
- 10:21Speaker 1: But I think we're seeing the Eagles offense really getting
- 10:26Speaker 1: to the point where we know kind of they're a
- 10:28Speaker 1: run first offense.
- 10:29Speaker 2: It's either what they.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Want to be or what they need to be at
- 10:32Speaker 1: this point in time. That's a big theme that I had.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I didn't know if you had any thoughts on this.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Yeah, And I don't know if you. I don't know
- 10:38Speaker 3: if any of your listeners are runners. Like to I
- 10:40Speaker 3: like to try to stay in shape. It's a good
- 10:42Speaker 3: thing that when I'm at my best, I am consistently
- 10:45Speaker 3: and regularly you know, doing it. And so I would say,
- 10:50Speaker 3: it's like, Okay, are you somebody who runs a ten
- 10:53Speaker 3: k maybe once a week or once every two weeks.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Are you somebody who, no matter what, you're gonna get
- 10:59Speaker 3: out there and you're gonna run a mile, You're gonna
- 11:00Speaker 3: run two miles, you're earning three miles. That's what consistently
- 11:03Speaker 3: running the ball does, YEH say, Kwon even on a
- 11:06Speaker 3: bad game. If I talked to Jeff about this all
- 11:09Speaker 3: the time, If if we give him twenty five carries,
- 11:12Speaker 3: there's no way twenty five touches. It can be through
- 11:14Speaker 3: the air or on the ground. He's gonna give us
- 11:17Speaker 3: one hundred yards. He's not a guy who is gonna,
- 11:20Speaker 3: you know, over the course of twenty five touches, end
- 11:22Speaker 3: up with forty six yards. That's just not who this
- 11:25Speaker 3: guy is. Yeah, he's going one of these are going
- 11:28Speaker 3: to pop right, especially today.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Exactly, especially with regard to this storyline of him going
- 11:36Speaker 1: back to New York. It was interesting, you know, he
- 11:38Speaker 1: saw Jason Kelsey's tweet. I know you're not too much
- 11:41Speaker 1: on Twitter, you're more on threads, and.
- 11:43Speaker 4: I missed the tweet. What did he say? What they say?
- 11:45Speaker 1: So Jason Kelcey actually came out and said, you know,
- 11:47Speaker 1: I don't understand why the New York Giants fan base
- 11:51Speaker 1: is booing Saquon Barkley this bad It was the Giants
- 11:55Speaker 1: management in front office and organization.
- 11:58Speaker 2: If they wanted him back, would have had him back.
- 12:01Speaker 1: It was not Saquon Barkley, yes, saying that you know
- 12:04Speaker 1: I need add a here, I want ata here. We
- 12:06Speaker 1: are those of us that watched Hard Knocks during the
- 12:09Speaker 1: off season, we saw that Saquon Barkley wanted to essentially
- 12:13Speaker 1: be back with New York.
- 12:14Speaker 2: If they would take him, and they didn't want.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Not only a factual statement, irrefutable effects, actual statement.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Yes, and you got the boo birds coming out for Saquon. Look,
- 12:23Speaker 1: I understand, And Jason Kelsey also said, look, I understand.
- 12:25Speaker 1: The Giants don't like the Eagles, Eagles don't like the Giants,
- 12:28Speaker 1: vice versa. It's a you know, it's the divisional thing.
- 12:31Speaker 1: But when it comes to him, there is no reason
- 12:33Speaker 1: why the Giants fan base should be booing Saquon Barkley.
- 12:36Speaker 1: It was not necessarily his. It wasn't his decision at
- 12:39Speaker 1: all to leave New York.
- 12:41Speaker 2: They pushed him.
- 12:41Speaker 3: It was up to Saquon. If it was up to Saquon,
- 12:44Speaker 3: he'd still be held. Have been on the other team
- 12:46Speaker 3: that gets spanked.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Today, Yes, we would have been, Yes, exactly.
- 12:50Speaker 3: He might have also been on the other side of
- 12:52Speaker 3: a spanking because that that happened quite a bit.
- 12:56Speaker 2: It did, it did well.
- 12:58Speaker 1: I gotta say, it's a great feeling knowing that this
- 13:01Speaker 1: team is four and two here at this point you
- 13:04Speaker 1: know last week, Matt, when you were on the show
- 13:06Speaker 1: after that Cleveland Browns game, you know that it was
- 13:10Speaker 1: even though they won, it was a tough type of
- 13:13Speaker 1: win for this team.
- 13:14Speaker 4: He feels like a win this week.
- 13:15Speaker 2: It does feel like a win this week.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Yes, interesting though, how the wide receivers really weren't as involved.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Aj Brown, with the most targets on the day with five,
- 13:25Speaker 1: came down with all five balls for eighty nine yards
- 13:28Speaker 1: seventeen point eight yards per reception and that amazing touchdown
- 13:31Speaker 1: in the second quarter that we saw. But I gotta
- 13:34Speaker 1: tell you, I was none too happy the fact that
- 13:36Speaker 1: DeVante smith Man, our boy Smitty, was only targeted twice.
- 13:39Speaker 1: He had one reception for negative two yards. I have
- 13:42Speaker 1: him on a couple fantasy teams. Did not do well
- 13:45Speaker 1: for me today.
- 13:46Speaker 4: No, it didn't.
- 13:47Speaker 2: No, he didn't.
- 13:48Speaker 4: He'll be back next week though.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Smitty for a buck fifty next week.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Yep.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Well, we talked about the defense. We talked about where
- 13:58Speaker 1: this offense we think is probably trending here. Do you
- 14:01Speaker 1: have anything else you want to dive into, Buddy, in
- 14:03Speaker 1: terms of themes from this game.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Jalen hurts, I think you spoke to it a second ago.
- 14:08Speaker 3: With the receivers, it's just it's it's it's a tough
- 14:11Speaker 3: game flow because it happens in sports. It'll happen to
- 14:14Speaker 3: Saquan at some point, somebody will jump on the Eagles
- 14:18Speaker 3: and at a certain point, it's just gonna be hard
- 14:20Speaker 3: to get Saquon the kind of rushing numbers. It's one
- 14:22Speaker 3: of the reverse kind of things happened into the wide
- 14:24Speaker 3: receivers today, where hey, these guys can't do anything with us.
- 14:29Speaker 2: You know.
- 14:29Speaker 3: It's it's like, you know, if you have a big
- 14:32Speaker 3: man who's just complete, he's got a he's got a
- 14:34Speaker 3: he's seven to two, he's shack, he's got a six foot four,
- 14:36Speaker 3: he's got like a guy who shouldn't be guarding him.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I'm sorry the guard. You're great, Kobe, tonight's not your night.
- 14:43Speaker 3: You're gonna drop twenty.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:44Speaker 3: I think that's what it is. With what happened to
- 14:46Speaker 3: Devonte and AJ today. I think the game flow will
- 14:49Speaker 3: work the other direction. Sometimes it'll all average out. They're
- 14:52Speaker 3: all fantastic players. A J. Brown Monster, Saquon Bank, Barkley Monster.
- 14:57Speaker 3: I mean those are those are you know? And I
- 15:00Speaker 3: love Jalen Hurts. But those are the two best players
- 15:03Speaker 3: on the football team.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Absolutely, absolutely, Look, there were forty five rushes in this game.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Jaellen Hurts through the ball fourteen times for fourteen Yes,
- 15:13Speaker 1: we haven't seen too many games like this, you know,
- 15:16Speaker 1: in terms of the game flow that you were just
- 15:18Speaker 1: talking about.
- 15:19Speaker 4: But nineteen twenty four.
- 15:21Speaker 3: It's nineteen twenty four, folks, you're listening to the Philadelphia
- 15:25Speaker 3: Sports Table podcast.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Going back to the old times.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Here, you are going back to the old times where
- 15:33Speaker 1: you smoked lucky struts.
- 15:35Speaker 4: They were wearing leather helmets.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Yes, but you and I were exchanging some texts about
- 15:42Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts though, and I was getting concerned once again
- 15:46Speaker 1: in the first quarter, Yes, about inability to see the field.
- 15:50Speaker 1: He's not thrown really over the middle of the field.
- 15:51Speaker 1: He did get one to Kenny Gainwell, who by the way,
- 15:54Speaker 1: rushed for thirteen yards fifty six yards. Got to mention
- 15:57Speaker 1: that four point three yards per right, But with regard
- 16:01Speaker 1: to Jalen Hurts, we're still kind of seeing the same
- 16:03Speaker 1: stuff where he's thrown to the outside constantly, not really
- 16:05Speaker 1: much over the middle, and he is missing guys too.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Quite frankly, folks. Yeahon Barkley should have had a rushing
- 16:12Speaker 1: touch or I should have had a receiving touchdown.
- 16:14Speaker 2: It should have happened.
- 16:16Speaker 3: It looked like he was looking really could have been
- 16:18Speaker 3: perfect today. He could have been fourteen for fourteen. Yes,
- 16:21Speaker 3: in the nineteen twenty four Eagles versus Giants football matchup.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Today absolutely been fourteen for fourteen if he just hit
- 16:26Speaker 3: the check He missed SMITTI on one, and he missed
- 16:29Speaker 3: he missed Saquan on multiple occasions, including for a touchdown
- 16:33Speaker 3: two to I think there was one where he was
- 16:36Speaker 3: going to the TV on the right where Saquon could
- 16:39Speaker 3: have caught it on a wheel route and he missed
- 16:41Speaker 3: him going the other direction on a wheel route. That's two,
- 16:44Speaker 3: and then miss Smitty. I don't know what the other
- 16:46Speaker 3: miss was. But he could have been perfect today, I mean,
- 16:49Speaker 3: is challenging. He I was texting with another one of
- 16:54Speaker 3: our friends, Jeff oj Spiety from the Philadelphia Tribune, and
- 16:58Speaker 3: I was telling him this, it's a good problem to have,
- 17:01Speaker 3: I believe. I think it's you know, well, obviously he's
- 17:05Speaker 3: got to hit the checkdown, so we always wanted him
- 17:08Speaker 3: to hit the checkdowns. I think the point is. I
- 17:11Speaker 3: think it's AJ Brown is just so damn good. It's
- 17:15Speaker 3: just hard to it's hard to be like because he's
- 17:18Speaker 3: he's unguardable, He's I mean, it's so it's like, ah,
- 17:23Speaker 3: like this play could be it's it's a touchdown. You
- 17:26Speaker 3: gotta kind of fight yourself in that position, right, He always.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Wants to look at it.
- 17:32Speaker 2: AJ is always going to get a look on every
- 17:34Speaker 2: drop back. Yeah.
- 17:35Speaker 3: I feel like if you were getting that all twenty
- 17:37Speaker 3: two and you're watching and you were inside Jalen's helmet,
- 17:40Speaker 3: he's one hundred percent checking for AJ.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I think that's what it is.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I hope he continues to work on, you know, just
- 17:46Speaker 1: really seeing the field a lot more. I mean, it
- 17:49Speaker 1: didn't necessarily need that in this game, but you want
- 17:52Speaker 1: a quarterback who is going to be or is slated
- 17:55Speaker 1: as one of the better NFC quarterbacks in this league
- 18:00Speaker 1: and to take their team to the next level.
- 18:02Speaker 2: You want him to be able to see the whole field.
- 18:04Speaker 2: And I think, well, yeah, start to see that at
- 18:06Speaker 2: some point.
- 18:07Speaker 3: No, yeah, in a game that's closer, Yeah, he will
- 18:11Speaker 3: need to hit the check down.
- 18:14Speaker 4: If you're gonna play Tomato cans every week, then maybe
- 18:16Speaker 4: he does.
- 18:17Speaker 2: It right exactly.
- 18:18Speaker 3: The Giants and they knocked him over. You have to
- 18:21Speaker 3: knock over the tomato cans and the.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Eagle are Philadelphia.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I didn't know either one of us.
- 18:25Speaker 3: We talked about the scores we thought today even I
- 18:29Speaker 3: don't know how in the realm of possibility we either
- 18:32Speaker 3: one of us would have thought twenty eight three was
- 18:34Speaker 3: exactly and some Drew.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Locke time, Drew Lock Kittie pick a time.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly exactly.
- 18:41Speaker 1: The white flag was raised folks by the New York
- 18:44Speaker 1: Giants in the fourth quarter, for sure. But I gotta
- 18:47Speaker 1: say the Eagles dominated, as we know, in terms of
- 18:49Speaker 1: time of possession thirty five minutes and twenty seconds to
- 18:52Speaker 1: the Giants twenty four minutes and forty seconds.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Overall, the Eagles had.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Three hundred and thirty nine total yards of offense to
- 19:00Speaker 1: the New York Giants. It was actually one hundred and
- 19:02Speaker 1: nineteen total one hundred and nineteen total on the day.
- 19:06Speaker 1: In terms of the yards per play, Eagles five point
- 19:11Speaker 1: two yards per play to the Giants two point two
- 19:13Speaker 1: yards per play. Absolutely pitiful. I will say this, and
- 19:16Speaker 1: I know some of these third downs came on during
- 19:19Speaker 1: the garbage time when Kenny Pickett came in. But Matt,
- 19:22Speaker 1: before we go to break, I just wanted to mention
- 19:24Speaker 1: third down efficiency in this game. The Eagles were one
- 19:28Speaker 1: of thirteen.
- 19:29Speaker 2: I don't like that.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I know it's a stat and I know Kenny Pickett
- 19:32Speaker 1: had some of those third down inefficiencies, I should say,
- 19:37Speaker 1: but one of thirteen on third down I do not
- 19:40Speaker 1: like that at all.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:43Speaker 3: What on the other end, so that that is worried
- 19:46Speaker 3: some that is never going to be That's something that
- 19:49Speaker 3: even you know in a win, you have to address that.
- 19:52Speaker 3: That's something that's very concerning.
- 19:54Speaker 4: YEA.
- 19:54Speaker 3: On the positive end of that, there were a bunch
- 19:57Speaker 3: of Hey, it's first and ten and we're gonna pick
- 20:00Speaker 3: up fifteen to AJ Brown today. Yeah, we're a bunch
- 20:03Speaker 3: of those were awesome. Those were just like, yep, screw
- 20:06Speaker 3: you guys, We're going to AJ Brown. It's the first
- 20:08Speaker 3: play of the drive, our best players getting the ball.
- 20:10Speaker 3: You can't do a damn thing about it.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Yep, absolutely sound, Yep, absolutely buddy.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Do you have any other themes before we go to
- 20:17Speaker 1: a break real quick and before we get to the grades.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Uh? No, I think I think we wore them.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Out covered it. Yeah, we covered everything. So all right, folks,
- 20:26Speaker 1: we're gonna take a quick break, pay some bills. We
- 20:27Speaker 1: will be back in just a bit. All right, we
- 20:31Speaker 1: are back, and let's get into the grades. We're gonna
- 20:33Speaker 1: start with the quarterback, Jalen Hurts. His stat line was
- 20:37Speaker 1: pretty like like we said earlier before we went to
- 20:39Speaker 1: the break here, stat line kind of kind of bizarre.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Ten to fourteen, one hundred and fourteen yards, eight point
- 20:45Speaker 1: one yards per attempt, one touchdown he did a four
- 20:48Speaker 1: sacks for and that was thirty six yards.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Actually that this.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Two rushing touchdowns, Yes, two rushing touchdowns. He had twenty
- 20:56Speaker 1: two yards rushing on the day. But I don't think
- 20:58Speaker 1: one designed rush at all, not one design rush that
- 21:01Speaker 1: I saw it tonight.
- 21:02Speaker 4: Other than the push. Yeah, the pushes it is, I
- 21:05Speaker 4: guess non push, yes.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Design right now.
- 21:09Speaker 1: No, No, I am gonna give just because of what
- 21:14Speaker 1: we saw during the fourth quarter or fourth quarter, in
- 21:16Speaker 1: the first quarter, in the inconsistencies and some of the
- 21:19Speaker 1: misses throughout the game, which we were talking about before,
- 21:24Speaker 1: goes back to last week. You know, we were talking
- 21:25Speaker 1: about sometimes somebody's stat line may look really good, but
- 21:29Speaker 1: there are some issues behind those stats. So that's why
- 21:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna give Jalen Hurts this week of B plus.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna give him a B plus. I think an
- 21:36Speaker 1: A minus, but B plus. I just need him to
- 21:38Speaker 1: see the field a little bit more, need him to
- 21:40Speaker 1: be able to really get get the ball into the
- 21:42Speaker 1: middle of the field sometimes as well.
- 21:44Speaker 2: So I'm giving him a B plus. What what do
- 21:46Speaker 2: you give him?
- 21:46Speaker 4: Matt?
- 21:48Speaker 3: I think about the same, and I'm in the B.
- 21:51Speaker 3: I'm a little a little more down on the performance
- 21:55Speaker 3: I did.
- 21:55Speaker 4: I am.
- 21:57Speaker 3: I didn't like some of these, just just misses because
- 22:01Speaker 3: I feel like those you know, you can throw it
- 22:04Speaker 3: in the flat for four and then they take it
- 22:06Speaker 3: forty four, and so some of those you're gonna need
- 22:09Speaker 3: some of those, like give me kind of things.
- 22:12Speaker 4: It's like again running analogy.
- 22:14Speaker 3: It's like, look, folks, sometimes you're gassed, and that that
- 22:18Speaker 3: downhill just hits right on the right time, and I'm
- 22:20Speaker 3: gonna go downhill and I gotta, hey, let me steal
- 22:23Speaker 3: a quick quarter mile here. And so that's what some
- 22:26Speaker 3: of those are. And so he missed some of those
- 22:29Speaker 3: against the Bengals. Can't miss those, so right, I'm.
- 22:33Speaker 4: Gonna give him. I'll give him a bee.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Okay, that's that's from a true Jalen Hurts fan. But
- 22:38Speaker 3: I think I think he would say he has to
- 22:40Speaker 3: be better.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Absolutely, all right, Let's move to the running back position again.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley seventeen carries, one hundred and seventy six yards
- 22:48Speaker 1: a touchdown. Can he gain well, thirteen carries, fifty six yards,
- 22:51Speaker 1: four point three yards per rush and overall again two
- 22:55Speaker 1: hundred and sixty nine total rushing yards on the day,
- 22:59Speaker 1: six yards per carry from this Eagles team. A plus
- 23:03Speaker 1: all around. I don't know what else anybody needs A plus.
- 23:06Speaker 3: I mean, all week the game plan was, they were
- 23:10Speaker 3: hitting the waits extra hard. They were working on their
- 23:12Speaker 3: one fits the day and no matter what, and you
- 23:14Speaker 3: could tell in the game plan. And when I was
- 23:16Speaker 3: talking to Chris Franklin before the game, I was like,
- 23:18Speaker 3: that's what they're gonna do.
- 23:19Speaker 4: They have to do this.
- 23:20Speaker 3: They have to Mara and this organization has to justify
- 23:23Speaker 3: that Sakwan Barkley is just some guy. And so even
- 23:27Speaker 3: if even at the risk of taking a loss to
- 23:29Speaker 3: the Eagles today, which I would have figured would have
- 23:31Speaker 3: been a close loss, they were gonna not let Saquon
- 23:34Speaker 3: did do what he did today with backup offensive linemen
- 23:39Speaker 3: just completely kicked in their damn teeth. A plus yeah, absolutely,
- 23:43Speaker 3: one hundred, not only ninety nine A plus one hundred, yes,
- 23:48Speaker 3: one hundred absolutely.
- 23:50Speaker 2: I love it. I love it.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Well.
- 23:52Speaker 1: The receiving on the day, as we mentioned earlier, like
- 23:55Speaker 1: the receivers just weren't as much part of this game
- 23:58Speaker 1: plan today. J Brown when his number was called, he
- 24:01Speaker 1: did everything he needed to do. And you know, yeah,
- 24:05Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley, believe it or not, was the second most
- 24:07Speaker 1: targeted quote receiver on the team with three receptions. He
- 24:11Speaker 1: came down with two balls for eleven yards. Like, the
- 24:13Speaker 1: receivers were just not utilized in this game as we
- 24:16Speaker 1: have seen throughout you know, much of Jalen Hurts his
- 24:19Speaker 1: career as the Eagles quarterbacks. So, I mean, the receivers
- 24:23Speaker 1: kind of did what they needed to do kind of,
- 24:25Speaker 1: but I'll still I'll give him a B plus.
- 24:28Speaker 3: I guess you know that's I think That's that's what
- 24:30Speaker 3: I'm going with. Okay, That's what I'm going with as well.
- 24:32Speaker 3: I was like when the when their numbers were called.
- 24:35Speaker 1: A J.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Brown was just like, hey, Okay, who's guarded me?
- 24:38Speaker 2: Oh?
- 24:39Speaker 3: Six guys are guarding me. Okay, I'll get the first
- 24:41Speaker 3: down for you because I'm back route out. Do you
- 24:43Speaker 3: want me to tell the guy or should I not
- 24:45Speaker 3: tell the guy? Went route I'm running?
- 24:47Speaker 4: Okay, exactly?
- 24:49Speaker 2: You want me to tell this guy, I'm doing a
- 24:50Speaker 2: go route.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Okay, We're gonna get a touchdown out of this one.
- 24:55Speaker 3: I mean they cannot guard him. I mean, and I
- 24:58Speaker 3: don't really know on when aj Brown is healthy. You
- 25:03Speaker 3: don't have a great argument that he's not potentially the
- 25:06Speaker 3: best wide receiver of football.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, he's just unguardable.
- 25:09Speaker 3: And so when the number was called, I do wish
- 25:11Speaker 3: that DeVante got more opportunities. Johan Dotson, he was out
- 25:16Speaker 3: there eighty three, got some snaps, but yeah, I don't
- 25:19Speaker 3: think he got any targets.
- 25:20Speaker 2: I think he got one.
- 25:21Speaker 1: There was one target for Johan Dotson he actually had.
- 25:25Speaker 1: There was decent coverage. I think that is the play
- 25:27Speaker 1: you were talking about with Jalen Hurts, where you're like
- 25:30Speaker 1: there was one other incompletion. It was the John Dotson one,
- 25:33Speaker 1: I think where all the way he threw it out
- 25:35Speaker 1: of bound and he was openes Okay, yes, that's the one.
- 25:39Speaker 1: That's the one, all right. Well let's move to the
- 25:41Speaker 1: offensive line. Look, there were some inconsistencies here and there.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I mean, the Giants actually got five sacks total on
- 25:51Speaker 1: the day, seven quarterback hits. There were eight tackles for
- 25:54Speaker 1: a loss. The offensive line hurts out there without having
- 25:58Speaker 1: Jordan my Latta for sure, and Makai Becton going down
- 26:02Speaker 1: certainly didn't help at all either. But they stuck together,
- 26:05Speaker 1: I think, as best they could given the circumstances and
- 26:08Speaker 1: the situations. The run blocking at times was absolutely phenomenal.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Sometimes it wasn't all that great, but Saquon makes what
- 26:16Speaker 1: he will out of really great blocking schemes, and he
- 26:19Speaker 1: certainly did that today when there was one in front
- 26:21Speaker 1: of him. So I'm gonna give the offensive line today.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I'm actually gonna give him a C plus on the day. Wow, Yeah,
- 26:27Speaker 1: it's I think. I think I think we saw Saquon
- 26:31Speaker 1: juking and cutting on a dime more than we actually
- 26:35Speaker 1: saw necessarily the offensive line providing the opportunities for him,
- 26:40Speaker 1: even though they did. Even though they did, and maybe
- 26:42Speaker 1: I'm being a little harsh, maybe it could be around
- 26:44Speaker 1: a B minus as well, but I'm around that B
- 26:46Speaker 1: minus C plus for the Eagles offensive line this week.
- 26:48Speaker 2: What are you? What are you thinking?
- 26:50Speaker 4: Uh?
- 26:51Speaker 3: And sorry, I my son was eating something he wasn't
- 26:54Speaker 3: supposed to that wasn't so good.
- 26:56Speaker 1: That's all good, very cute kid, Thank you.
- 27:01Speaker 3: So I'll give it. I'll give them a bea uh
- 27:08Speaker 3: let me let me go bet plus because honestly, I
- 27:10Speaker 3: think the past blocking, I would say the past blocking
- 27:15Speaker 3: was a CE today. But you come out in a
- 27:18Speaker 3: division rival, you're playing against, you know, one of the
- 27:21Speaker 3: best defensive tackles in the league, and you just completely
- 27:23Speaker 3: just bowl them over.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Yeah, just take their lunch money. You gotta give them.
- 27:27Speaker 4: I gotta give them some credit for that.
- 27:29Speaker 3: So I'll give them a B plus on their test today, Okay,
- 27:31Speaker 3: especially with some backups.
- 27:33Speaker 4: You know, they got a bum, ankle or whatever the
- 27:35Speaker 4: case may be.
- 27:36Speaker 2: I'm probably I'm probably being harsh. I'll do B minus here.
- 27:39Speaker 3: I'll fred Fred was Fred was on the recliner. It's
- 27:44Speaker 3: another way of saying he.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Was on a lazy boy recliner every now and then,
- 27:49Speaker 1: every now and again, all right, And.
- 27:51Speaker 3: I'm doing the simulation for those because only Jeff can
- 27:54Speaker 3: see it.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Because because it's just the audio, but you know.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Laying the sitting back, relaxing.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Forcibly sitting back and relaxing.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Yes, Fred, we love you, buddy, we love you.
- 28:08Speaker 4: Yes, great performance over all today.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Yes, Okay, let's move to the defensive sided things. And
- 28:13Speaker 1: I gotta say it's the best best defensive line effort
- 28:17Speaker 1: that we have seen thus far during this season. I'm
- 28:19Speaker 1: gonna give this defensive line in a minus this year.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna er this year this game a minus. It
- 28:25Speaker 1: could even be like an A and maybe that's just
- 28:29Speaker 1: I mean, they got the numbers to prove it here.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Eight sacks, eleven quarterback hits. I mean it's an A.
- 28:34Speaker 1: It's an A for me for the defensive line.
- 28:35Speaker 2: What do you give them?
- 28:40Speaker 3: I don't want to get too high on it, but
- 28:43Speaker 3: I mean, eight sacks in the NFL, I gotta give
- 28:46Speaker 3: him a plus.
- 28:47Speaker 4: It's a.
- 28:48Speaker 1: That's twelfth, right. It's not all Andrew Thomas being out.
- 28:52Speaker 1: That was certainly part of it, but not all of
- 28:54Speaker 1: it was. I mean, they were these guys were getting there. There
- 28:56Speaker 1: were some nice stunts that Vic Fangio had them doing,
- 28:59Speaker 1: some nice blitzes and pressures.
- 29:01Speaker 2: I was like holy cow, where's this been?
- 29:03Speaker 3: And guys, I mean, how many times on this podcast.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Maybe somebody who's a big fan, we'll go back and listen,
- 29:10Speaker 3: tell us how many times we said the name Fred
- 29:12Speaker 3: Johnson this podcast, including in this last minute. So you
- 29:16Speaker 3: guys have two pass rushers who I truly think are
- 29:18Speaker 3: actually better than.
- 29:19Speaker 4: The guys the Eagles have.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Andell's take.
- 29:22Speaker 4: That out of your mouth.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Sorry, all good, And you're absolutely right they do. They
- 29:33Speaker 1: have two better pass rushers I think than the Eagles
- 29:35Speaker 1: do on their line. Dexter Lawrence and Brian Burns are fantastic. Yes,
- 29:43Speaker 1: Lari is playing over.
- 29:44Speaker 3: If you take out today's games, Sweaty and huff have
- 29:48Speaker 3: not even participated.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Yes, exactly, exactly. Well, what grade do you give them?
- 29:53Speaker 1: I'm giving them an A? What do you give them them?
- 29:55Speaker 4: An A plus? An A plus?
- 29:57Speaker 3: Because you came out in an NFL football game to
- 30:00Speaker 3: put the quarterback actually while he was still holding the football,
- 30:03Speaker 3: even though he's not a good quarterback and probably was
- 30:04Speaker 3: holding the football too long. So it was ours and
- 30:07Speaker 3: we got chir quarterback on the ground eight times.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Yep, all right, linebackers this week, Nakobe Dean Zach Bond
- 30:14Speaker 1: having a very very nice games. You like to see
- 30:16Speaker 1: them up on top of the Eagles defense depth chart.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Zach Bond with six tackles total on the day. As
- 30:23Speaker 1: I mentioned earlier, Nikcobe Dean with eleven total tackles, two sacks,
- 30:27Speaker 1: four quarterback hits. I'm giving the linebackers and a plus
- 30:30Speaker 1: this week. You can't ask, but they were all over
- 30:33Speaker 1: the place too. The pursuit of the ball was great.
- 30:36Speaker 3: I've definitely give him a definitely given him an A plus.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Nikobe Dean with two sacks. I did not see our guy,
- 30:45Speaker 3: Zach Bonn. How many tackles did he finish with?
- 30:47Speaker 2: It's six.
- 30:49Speaker 3: Definitely give him an A plus. Yeah, yeah, because I
- 30:52Speaker 3: don't feel like I don't I never. I guess I'm
- 30:54Speaker 3: used to seeing Eagles linebackers getting run over cooked in coverage.
- 30:59Speaker 4: So I'll give him an AG. Yeah, yeah, I'll give
- 31:02Speaker 4: him an A.
- 31:02Speaker 1: The secondary, let's move to them as uh as as
- 31:06Speaker 1: Matt's son is just all over the microphone. I'm just
- 31:09Speaker 1: kidding for Matt or Matt's like, oh my gosh, yes,
- 31:15Speaker 1: but I'm gonna give the I'm going to give the
- 31:17Speaker 1: cornerbacks and the secondary overall, even the safety play as well.
- 31:21Speaker 2: This week, they didn't have to do too much.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Daniel Jones couldn't get the ball down the field, probably
- 31:25Speaker 1: because coverage was pretty darn good. I'm gonna give the
- 31:29Speaker 1: secondary and A this week.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna give him an A.
- 31:33Speaker 4: Uh.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Yeah, the sack that that sweat got was totally a
- 31:36Speaker 3: covered sack. I still want to give you credit number
- 31:39Speaker 3: nineteen forgetting the guy on the ground that was totally
- 31:41Speaker 3: covered sack. I think I think Daniel Jones held that
- 31:44Speaker 3: ball sitting in the pocket like a statue, turned to
- 31:47Speaker 3: the right a little bit. Yes, he was back there
- 31:49Speaker 3: for at least six or seven seconds. Yeah, that was
- 31:51Speaker 3: total covered sack. When Jon Mitchell's been better than advertised,
- 31:55Speaker 3: Slaves played well, even though he was definitely holding on
- 31:59Speaker 3: guys for quite a while early in the game. Especially
- 32:03Speaker 3: Cooper Degene playing really well whenever he's on the ground
- 32:07Speaker 3: on the field, including on a punt return, which I'm
- 32:10Speaker 3: sure we'll mention really quick at some point. I really
- 32:14Speaker 3: like what I saw from the DB's I'll give them
- 32:15Speaker 3: an A as well.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Today, all right.
- 32:17Speaker 1: I like it, and I liked what we saw on
- 32:20Speaker 1: special teams. Let's move to you know, coaching and move
- 32:23Speaker 1: to these units here special teams. I'm gonna give him
- 32:26Speaker 1: a B plus today, could be an A minus Cooper
- 32:29Speaker 1: Degene like you just mentioned just he was really giving
- 32:33Speaker 1: the punt return aspect of this of this team. Fifteen
- 32:37Speaker 1: yards average today on three punt returns. That's fantastic in
- 32:42Speaker 1: this league.
- 32:43Speaker 2: For one thing.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Cooper de Gene man, he's he's coming on. It is
- 32:47Speaker 1: his rookie season, learning the game. You can tell he's
- 32:49Speaker 1: still learning the game, but he's making difference and he's
- 32:52Speaker 1: making an impact specifically here on special teams.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Like we're grading.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna give special teams in A this week, and
- 32:57Speaker 1: a lot of it is because of Cooper de gene.
- 33:00Speaker 3: Absolutely making plays, juking guys out, looking really good. Number
- 33:03Speaker 3: thirty three, great move getting him right there in the
- 33:06Speaker 3: second round.
- 33:07Speaker 2: You have a A for him as well or A
- 33:09Speaker 2: for him special teams?
- 33:10Speaker 4: Uh uh? I'll go with B plus.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Ok, I think you gave him a B plus as well, right,
- 33:17Speaker 3: give an a gim an A gave hi an A.
- 33:20Speaker 3: I'll go with B plus. I need a touchdown, I
- 33:22Speaker 3: need close to a touchdown. I need a big one.
- 33:24Speaker 4: I need a forty. You can't get me with a
- 33:26Speaker 4: bunch of thirteens.
- 33:27Speaker 2: You know, we gave him an F. Hut. Yeah, I know.
- 33:29Speaker 1: I think we gave him an F last week and
- 33:31Speaker 1: I was like, you know what, it was a significant
- 33:33Speaker 1: increase in terms of productivity, significant increase.
- 33:36Speaker 3: We're not an a yet. Oh my and my book birds.
- 33:40Speaker 3: Michael Clay, if you're listening, I hope we're able to
- 33:44Speaker 3: find the punt returns touchdowns that are missing.
- 33:48Speaker 4: You will be mighty leave rewarded. There you go by
- 33:50Speaker 4: the Eagles press.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Yes, I am giving an aid to Vic Fangio and
- 33:55Speaker 1: the defensive coaching this week. I'm giving an A to them. Again,
- 33:58Speaker 1: We've gone through everything here. It's probably the best defensive
- 34:02Speaker 1: defensive play that we've seen from this team after seven
- 34:05Speaker 1: weeks on the season. A for Vic Fangio, What do
- 34:07Speaker 1: you give them?
- 34:09Speaker 3: Absolutely in a absolutely in a. It's an NFL football
- 34:12Speaker 3: team holding a division rival at three points.
- 34:14Speaker 4: Absolutely great performance.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Offensive coaching, Nick Sirianni Kellen Moore actually gonna give him
- 34:20Speaker 1: a B plus because they knew they were going to
- 34:22Speaker 1: run the ball, needed to run the ball, and they
- 34:25Speaker 1: got it done. They got it done with one, Saquon Barkley.
- 34:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna give him a B plus this week. What
- 34:31Speaker 1: do you give them?
- 34:31Speaker 4: Give him a B plus? Yeah, we're missing. I can't
- 34:34Speaker 4: give you an A.
- 34:35Speaker 3: You're one of the few people who weren't able to
- 34:37Speaker 3: get an A because you can't get any damn points
- 34:39Speaker 3: in the first quarter. Yes, some good football teams they're
- 34:41Speaker 3: gonna score on you in the first quarter.
- 34:44Speaker 4: Yes, this is ridiculous.
- 34:46Speaker 3: And in spite of an awesome game where you absolutely
- 34:49Speaker 3: dominated guys, they dominate dominated you in that you still
- 34:53Speaker 3: were not able to get off the schneid. We're about
- 34:56Speaker 3: to be at the damn NFL trade deadline and we
- 34:59Speaker 3: have it at a first quarter touchdown. It's ridiculous.
- 35:04Speaker 2: It's amazing. It really is amazing. Well, buddy, that's gonna
- 35:07Speaker 2: do it for us.
