- 0:03Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:06Speaker 1: hottest influencer.
- 0:07Speaker 2: And pop culture news twice a week.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I'm Kate Torber and coming up on today's show, Rebecca
- 0:12Speaker 1: Little calls out the behaviour of a fellow influencer at
- 0:15Speaker 1: the Wicked premiere. Tammy Hembrough admits she struggled to cope
- 0:19Speaker 1: following her public divorce and Sophie Guedelin's C-section scar. But first,
- 0:25Speaker 1: Matt Paul's fiancee, Annalise Oatway, has been caught out selling
- 0:29Speaker 1: a sofa bed she advertised just.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Two days earlier. So as part of a paid.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Partnership with ACOSA, the nurse created a reel of her
- 0:38Speaker 1: and her Ironman fiancee putting the bed together. And it
- 0:41Speaker 1: was pretty funny because Annalise kept making all these jokes
- 0:44Speaker 1: that this room was a bit of a refresh, going
- 0:46Speaker 1: to be a second lounge room for her kids, but
- 0:49Speaker 1: also the doghouse for Matt when he played too much golf,
- 0:52Speaker 1: which I thought was quite funny because Recently, we've had
- 0:54Speaker 1: a lot of followers messaging us saying, oh my God,
- 0:57Speaker 1: poor Annalise. She's always stuck at home with the kids
- 0:59Speaker 1: while Matt's out golfing. So obviously it's a bit of
- 1:02Speaker 1: a contentious topic. I like when influencers actually play off
- 1:05Speaker 1: that though, because it's a great way to create engagement,
- 1:08Speaker 1: get people commenting and DMing this on. Well, it appears
- 1:12Speaker 1: like Matt won't have a luxury place to recline next
- 1:14Speaker 1: time he actually goes and plays golf because the king
- 1:17Speaker 1: sofa bed that they advertised was up for sale on
- 1:20Speaker 1: Marketplace two days later. Now, the sofa bed in question
- 1:24Speaker 1: is called the Sydney Sofa Bed and retails for $ 2, 350.
- 1:27Speaker 1: It's actually currently on sale as part of Black Friday
- 1:33Speaker 1: for $.
- 1:33Speaker 3: 1, 645.
- 1:34Speaker 1: If you do want it, Annalise has listed it as
- 1:36Speaker 1: $ 45 cheaper, so $ 1, 600. I like it. She's trying to
- 1:40Speaker 1: be a bit competitive with the pricing there. I want
- 1:42Speaker 1: to know, was this gifted to her in exchange for
- 1:47Speaker 1: the post or Was it gifted to her as well
- 1:50Speaker 1: as her being paid to put up the post? Well,
- 1:52Speaker 1: I think that makes a big difference because I was thinking, well,
- 1:54Speaker 1: is it okay for an influencer to sell items that
- 1:56Speaker 1: they gifted as part of.
- 1:57Speaker 2: A paid partnership?
- 1:58Speaker 1: Personally, I think I would like to know the finer
- 2:01Speaker 1: details about the partnership before I make my decision on
- 2:03Speaker 1: this one, because if it was a contra deal where
- 2:06Speaker 1: they were given the couch to promote it, I think
- 2:09Speaker 1: it's okay to sell it because that has been how
- 2:12Speaker 1: you've been paid. Yeah, that was the incentive for doing
- 2:15Speaker 1: it because you wanted the item. And it doesn't make
- 2:17Speaker 1: sense as to why you'd sell it.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 2:18Speaker 1: So I think in this situation it seems like they
- 2:21Speaker 1: were paid to make the reel and on top of
- 2:23Speaker 1: that they were given the couch so that they could
- 2:25Speaker 1: actually create the video from it. See, that to me
- 2:29Speaker 1: gives more reason to give it away because you were
- 2:31Speaker 1: just doing the post because of the partnership in place. Yeah,
- 2:34Speaker 1: but then should the content have been different? Rather than
- 2:36Speaker 1: saying I'm actually– renovating my second lounge room and this
- 2:40Speaker 1: is going to be a key part of it. And,
- 2:42Speaker 1: you know, putting your personal spin on it, that Matt's
- 2:44Speaker 1: going to be sleeping on it in the doghouse. Yeah, because,
- 2:47Speaker 1: but she's trying to make it not as much of
- 2:48Speaker 1: a sell. She's trying to make it engaging for her audience.
- 2:50Speaker 1: It's a real catch 22, isn't it?
- 2:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:52Speaker 1: But the thing is people are going to notice the
- 2:54Speaker 1: couch isn't there when she films in that room again,
- 2:56Speaker 1: if she does. I mean, she's not someone that vlogs
- 2:58Speaker 1: her daily life, but.
- 3:00Speaker 2: You can get caught out. And I mean, she's been
- 3:02Speaker 2: caught out. It's very embarrassing.
- 3:03Speaker 1: It's quite damaging for her moving forward with brand deals.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I'm just of the opinion that an influencer does have
- 3:09Speaker 1: the right to get rid of said item if it
- 3:12Speaker 1: no longer serves them. However, I think you need to
- 3:15Speaker 1: wait a little bit longer than two days.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I think that's what the issue is.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Perhaps wait a couple of months when everyone's forgotten about
- 3:22Speaker 1: the deal that you've just done and then offload the
- 3:25Speaker 1: item or I think the issue was also someone making
- 3:28Speaker 1: money off it. So maybe give the item away to
- 3:31Speaker 1: a charity or a family member.
- 3:33Speaker 2: But, I mean, if you want.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Don't make money off it. If you do sneakily want
- 3:36Speaker 1: to make cash out of it, put it on someone
- 3:39Speaker 1: else's Facebook.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Don't do it on your own.
- 3:40Speaker 1: No, but you know what? I was going to say
- 3:41Speaker 1: have a fake account, but Facebook Marketplace are really cracking
- 3:44Speaker 1: down on accounts. You have to have your phone number
- 3:47Speaker 1: attached to it. I mean, but that being said, Matt
- 3:49Speaker 1: Paul's more famous than her.
- 3:50Speaker 2: So I feel like he.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Would get caught out too if he was sharing it.
- 3:53Speaker 1: But it's bad because it's the deal that she did. No,
- 3:55Speaker 1: but don't get Matt to do it. Get a friend
- 3:57Speaker 1: or your family member or something. Like just someone, not
- 4:00Speaker 1: your own account. It just looks bad. It does look
- 4:02Speaker 1: like they have a relatively small place though. So, I mean,
- 4:05Speaker 1: if this bed, you didn't really need it and it
- 4:07Speaker 1: was taking up a lot of room.
- 4:08Speaker 2: It's a sofa bed though. It folds up. Yeah, I know,
- 4:10Speaker 2: but you might.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Not want it in your house. I mean, I didn't
- 4:12Speaker 1: actually see it.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Was it not particularly nice looking? No, it was really nice.
- 4:15Speaker 2: It looked really comfy. I don't know why they got
- 4:17Speaker 2: rid of it.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Well, they've got a wedding to pay for, so perhaps
- 4:19Speaker 1: they need the extra cash.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I trust the process and I trust him.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I think it would be a bit hard if I
- 4:25Speaker 1: didn't trust him. Sophie Guedelin has left her followers puzzled
- 4:29Speaker 1: after she spoke about the location of her C-section scar.
- 4:34Speaker 1: During an Instagram Q & A, the controversial fitness influencer
- 4:37Speaker 1: was asked why her C-section scar isn't visible in her
- 4:41Speaker 1: bikini photos.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Kate, can you tell us more?
- 4:43Speaker 1: Well, as someone who has fairly recently had a cesarean,
- 4:46Speaker 1: Sophie's answer had me floored. So she responded to the
- 4:49Speaker 1: followers question writing, it was on my vulva, like the
- 4:52Speaker 1: top of where.
- 4:53Speaker 2: My labia joints.
- 4:55Speaker 1: She then went on to share that a naturopath had
- 4:57Speaker 1: performed deep trauma healing on her scar and now it's
- 5:00Speaker 1: completely gone. Now, unfortunately for those who want to book
- 5:04Speaker 1: in the same treatment, Sophie revealed that her naturopath no
- 5:07Speaker 1: longer practices anymore as her practice was sadly destroyed in
- 5:11Speaker 1: a cyclone. Now, as you can imagine, it didn't take
- 5:14Speaker 1: long for Sophie's inbox to be flooded with confused people.
- 5:18Speaker 1: She ended up sharing a screenshot of a message that
- 5:21Speaker 1: she received from a medical practitioner who wrote, I'm sorry,
- 5:24Speaker 1: but anatomically speaking, this is impossible. A C-section occurs in
- 5:28Speaker 1: your lower abdomen, not your vulva or where your labia joins.
- 5:32Speaker 1: And Sophie captioned the screenshot, stop, I can't with the internet.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Ha ha, how on earth do people think they know
- 5:38Speaker 1: their body better than you?
- 5:39Speaker 2: Ha ha ha ha.
- 5:41Speaker 1: At one point, I was told if I didn't post
- 5:43Speaker 1: my scar, I must have used a surrogate. I have
- 5:45Speaker 1: to admit, after I had my C-section... I was pleasantly
- 5:48Speaker 1: surprised at how low the scar actually is. I thought
- 5:51Speaker 1: it would be higher. But in saying that, it's definitely
- 5:54Speaker 1: not as low as your vulva. I'm wondering whether her
- 5:56Speaker 1: scar is a little bit lower because she had twins.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Could there be something in that? But it's not actually
- 6:02Speaker 1: surgically possible to do a C-section incision in the vulva.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It's anatomically impossible and would cause catastrophic damage. Yeah, I
- 6:10Speaker 1: just think maybe it was a little bit lower than
- 6:11Speaker 1: the general C-section and she's maybe just worded it wrong. Well,
- 6:14Speaker 1: your vulva doesn't actually provide access to it.
- 6:17Speaker 2: To the uterus, which is where you need.
- 6:18Speaker 5: To be going.
- 6:18Speaker 2: I'm not questioning whether it does.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I just think perhaps a C-section scar is a little
- 6:22Speaker 1: lower than the average person's.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Well, for those who.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Haven't had a C-section or haven't seen a C-section scar,
- 6:28Speaker 1: the incision is normally made five to eight centimeters above
- 6:31Speaker 1: the pubic bone across the abdomen. Now, in terms of
- 6:35Speaker 1: the position of Sophie's C-section scar, she ended up responding
- 6:39Speaker 1: to the backlash on her Instagram story. And it turns
- 6:42Speaker 1: out she had actually blocked 20 people who accused her
- 6:46Speaker 1: of lying about her C-section.
- 6:48Speaker 2: So she posted a photo.
- 6:49Speaker 1: In a bikini and she drew a red line on
- 6:52Speaker 1: where her scar actually is and wrote, the red line
- 6:55Speaker 1: is how low my scar is. Factually, not potentially or impossible,
- 6:59Speaker 1: it is. And she went to say that she is
- 7:01Speaker 1: sick of there being so much misinformation out there about
- 7:03Speaker 1: C-sections and wrote, just because that is your experience, every
- 7:06Speaker 1: birth is different. Maybe you had an emergency, you were overweight,
- 7:10Speaker 1: had a keloid, a shitty doctor, But when you say
- 7:12Speaker 1: things like it's impossible, it's false, I am proof of that. Now,
- 7:16Speaker 1: based on this photo Sophie shared, it's clear she needs
- 7:19Speaker 1: an anatomy lesson because it is not on her vulva.
- 7:21Speaker 1: It's literally where a C-section scar is. Yeah, well, that's
- 7:24Speaker 1: what I was thinking. I was thinking it's probably just
- 7:26Speaker 1: a bit lower than maybe she initially thought it was
- 7:28Speaker 1: going to be. Where I do draw a line, though,
- 7:30Speaker 1: is people accusing her of having a surrogate and saying
- 7:33Speaker 1: you actually didn't have a C-section. I think that that
- 7:35Speaker 1: is a bit unfair.
- 7:36Speaker 2: But can you see why people are confused?
- 7:38Speaker 1: Because if you go through a C-section... You definitely know
- 7:40Speaker 1: the incision isn't in your vulva. And she described it
- 7:45Speaker 1: in such detail. Like, it's just bizarre. I just think
- 7:48Speaker 1: as well, if you don't want people questioning you about it,
- 7:50Speaker 1: just don't go into that much detail about it and
- 7:52Speaker 1: don't open up about it. I mean, she could have
- 7:54Speaker 1: just said, oh, you know, my scar has faded a
- 7:55Speaker 1: lot because I went to a naturopath. She didn't have
- 7:57Speaker 1: to go into the fact of where it was.
- 7:59Speaker 2: How's your day going? Because mine's great.
- 8:03Speaker 5: So, yeah.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Anyway, I should probably go finish the dress now.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I have a light up in the wand. Rebecca Little
- 8:09Speaker 1: has slammed the behavior of a group of fellow influencers
- 8:12Speaker 1: at the Wicked premiere in Melbourne. While the micro-influencer didn't
- 8:16Speaker 1: name names, she described their actions as unsettling and desperate.
- 8:20Speaker 1: So if it's really becoming a bit of a trend
- 8:22Speaker 1: for influencers to break down the fourth wall at influencer events.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it really is. And I'm all here for it.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I think Isabel Clark was one of the first influencers
- 8:30Speaker 1: I really saw do that this year. In a candid TikTok,
- 8:34Speaker 1: she spoke about how clicky and uncomfortable influencer events can
- 8:38Speaker 1: be And also spoke about the egos that can come
- 8:41Speaker 1: out at them. I can't believe that story was this year.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I remember covering it. It seems like a lifetime ago.
- 8:46Speaker 1: It was in conjunction with Michaela Tester calling out Anna
- 8:49Speaker 1: Paul at the time.
- 8:50Speaker 2: And there was a story.
- 8:51Speaker 1: About how Anna Paul allegedly said that Isabel Clarke had
- 8:54Speaker 1: close set eyes. And it seems like this was a
- 8:56Speaker 1: bit of a hang up for Anna because apparently she
- 8:58Speaker 1: said that so many different influences had close set eyes.
- 9:01Speaker 2: It was also so for Dover.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Oh, I am.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Actually really looking forward to the end of the year,
- 9:05Speaker 1: going back through the top 10 stories because so much
- 9:08Speaker 1: has happened this year. Now back to Rebecca Little, instead
- 9:11Speaker 1: of creating a TikTok tell all video, like we've seen
- 9:14Speaker 1: in the past, Rebecca opted to air her grievances with
- 9:18Speaker 1: her 49,000 followers by writing down and sharing her thoughts
- 9:22Speaker 1: in an Instagram story tile, which was very millennial of her.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Well, I think it's still.
- 9:27Speaker 1: A good way to get information out there because you
- 9:29Speaker 1: can really choose your words carefully.
- 9:32Speaker 2: And people can't cut it up.
- 9:34Speaker 5: True.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Well, in the lengthy post, Rebecca explained that she was
- 9:37Speaker 1: invited to attend the Wicked premiere in Melbourne with her daughter.
- 9:41Speaker 1: She said they were both genuinely excited to see the movie.
- 9:44Speaker 1: In fact, it made her remember why she fell in
- 9:46Speaker 1: love with the cinema in the first place. However, it
- 9:49Speaker 1: was a run-in with a group of fellow influencers, which
- 9:52Speaker 1: appeared to derail her otherwise pleasant evening. So she wrote,
- 9:56Speaker 1: I watched people literally step over others. The desperation to
- 10:00Speaker 1: be seen rather than to actually see was unsettling. And
- 10:04Speaker 1: then of course came the cherry on top, the snide
- 10:06Speaker 1: performative little comments. I could almost admire the commitment to
- 10:10Speaker 1: the bit if it weren't aimed at slash near my child.
- 10:13Speaker 1: That's when something in me shifted. Say or post whatever
- 10:17Speaker 1: you want about me. But when that energy starts circling
- 10:19Speaker 1: my daughter, absolutely not. That's where the line is drawn.
- 10:23Speaker 1: The irony is I still love movies, always will. The
- 10:26Speaker 1: magic on the screen, untouchable. But the circus around it,
- 10:30Speaker 1: I'm out. I think I'm officially done with premieres. The
- 10:33Speaker 1: spotlight used to reveal art. Now it just exposes egos.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I don't think that it's news to any of us
- 10:39Speaker 1: that there would be people with egos at these.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Type of events.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I mean, that's why they're there, really, to promote it,
- 10:45Speaker 1: to show that they're going to this event, to create
- 10:47Speaker 1: some publicity around it. Yeah, also... I'm not surprised that
- 10:50Speaker 1: influencers would be focused on creating content at that event.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Well, that's what they're there to do.
- 10:55Speaker 1: A lot of the influencers took their costumes to the
- 10:58Speaker 1: next level and there was a lot of excitement around
- 11:01Speaker 1: creating TikTok videos. And I mean, that's what the PR
- 11:03Speaker 1: people want you to do as well. That being said,
- 11:06Speaker 1: I love the tea, particularly the swipe that Rebecca made
- 11:09Speaker 1: about the performative little comments that were aimed at her child,
- 11:12Speaker 1: because that really piqued my interest because that really makes
- 11:15Speaker 1: the behaviors at play sound terrible.
- 11:17Speaker 2: How old is her child? Oh, I think she's about 11. Okay.
- 11:21Speaker 1: As soon as I saw Rebecca's post, I instantly started
- 11:24Speaker 1: racking my brain to remember which influencers attended the Melbourne
- 11:28Speaker 1: premiere because the only influencers who I could remember sharing
- 11:32Speaker 1: stories were Georgia Love and Matt Sikowsky. Now, Matt does
- 11:36Speaker 1: pride himself on being a bit of a movie buff, so-
- 11:39Speaker 1: It wasn't really surprising to see him at this event.
- 11:41Speaker 1: He seems to be branding himself as this movie reviewer.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Georgia Love also wasn't a surprise to see there. She
- 11:47Speaker 1: absolutely loves musical theatre and often travels overseas to see it.
- 11:51Speaker 2: So I was glad that she got an invite.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Yeah. And when I saw Rebecca's post pop up about
- 11:55Speaker 1: the bad behaviour of influencers at the event, I quickly
- 11:59Speaker 1: remembered this post that Matt shared where he did a
- 12:01Speaker 1: bit of a fit check.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Oh, not another one. Let's have a listen to what
- 12:05Speaker 2: he said. So I'm going to the Wicked premiere in
- 12:08Speaker 2: Melbourne and I've got my pink suit on.
- 12:16Speaker 5: Yeah, it's pretty loud.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Now, I wanted to include Matt walking into the premiere
- 12:21Speaker 1: because I was like, is this the sort of behavior
- 12:23Speaker 1: that she's talking about, which is desperate, someone wanting to
- 12:25Speaker 1: be seen? I mean, that's just normal influencer behavior, isn't it?
- 12:28Speaker 1: That you do a fit check before an event. I
- 12:30Speaker 1: couldn't imagine Matt Sikowsky being rude to anyone.
- 12:32Speaker 5: No.
- 12:32Speaker 2: He kind of gives me Bambi.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Vibes at the moment.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Oh, it definitely wasn't him.
- 12:36Speaker 1: But this is how things can easily be misconstrued when
- 12:38Speaker 1: you don't actually identify who you're talking about.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:41Speaker 1: And particularly because when you say an influencer, there were
- 12:44Speaker 1: only so many invited. So by not actually naming names,
- 12:47Speaker 1: she is basically defaming a whole bunch of them.
- 12:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:50Speaker 1: The thing is, her post felt a lot more loaded.
- 12:53Speaker 1: It felt as though she had some longstanding beef with
- 12:56Speaker 1: the individual or individuals involved. And that kind of highlights
- 12:59Speaker 1: who it potentially was about. So I decided to put
- 13:02Speaker 1: it out to our Facebook community. I put up a
- 13:04Speaker 1: post asking if anyone had an inkling about who Rebecca
- 13:07Speaker 1: was speaking about, and instantly listeners started writing in saying
- 13:11Speaker 1: they were convinced that she was talking about Olivia White,
- 13:15Speaker 1: otherwise known as House of White. Now, OG listeners will
- 13:18Speaker 1: remember the story we did back in 2020 about Olivia
- 13:21Speaker 1: White selling Alibaba glassware that she said was modeled off
- 13:24Speaker 1: her mother's body. This was actually one of my favorite
- 13:26Speaker 1: stories to date that we've covered.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I actually want to.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Put it out there as a bit of a Christmas special,
- 13:30Speaker 1: maybe cut.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Up some of our favorite stories of all time. That
- 13:32Speaker 2: would be quite hilarious.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Now, Olivia and Rebecca are both in the motherhood and
- 13:37Speaker 1: lifestyle space and have reportedly had a falling out. Now,
- 13:41Speaker 1: when I looked at Olivia's Instagram account, I was even
- 13:43Speaker 1: more convinced that Rebecca was directing this at her. Yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 1: because she attended the event alongside fellow influencer Nakia Joy. Now,
- 13:51Speaker 1: Nakia is a professional makeup artist who has over 233,000
- 13:54Speaker 1: followers on Instagram. 1.1 million on TikTok and over 900,000
- 14:00Speaker 1: on YouTube. Now, both Olivia and Nakia took their costumes
- 14:04Speaker 1: to the next level. Nakia ended up painting her whole
- 14:08Speaker 1: body green to come as Elphaba, whilst Olivia spent months
- 14:11Speaker 1: creating the ultimate Glinda gown. So she found a dress
- 14:14Speaker 1: in an op shop and she and her mom completely
- 14:17Speaker 1: customized it.
- 14:18Speaker 2: So they added a lot of beading. She dyed it brown.
- 14:21Speaker 1: She even used a 3D printer to make her own wand.
- 14:25Speaker 1: And Olivia White is known for sharing this type of content.
- 14:27Speaker 1: I remember a couple of years ago, she did this
- 14:29Speaker 1: really cool DIY Taylor Swift birthday party for her kids.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Like she takes things next level. Yeah, I find her
- 14:34Speaker 1: content now to be quite wholesome. I mean, there was
- 14:37Speaker 1: a bit of a hiccup there with the glasses, but
- 14:38Speaker 1: I quite enjoy her content now. And I think that
- 14:43Speaker 1: they seem to just really get into the spirit of
- 14:45Speaker 1: the event. They created a lot of TikTok videos of
- 14:47Speaker 1: themselves getting ready in a hotel room together, and it
- 14:50Speaker 1: was all just a bit of fun. Well, that's exactly
- 14:52Speaker 1: what the PR team that invited them want. They want
- 14:54Speaker 1: hype around this movie and excitement.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Yeah, and apparently their.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Costumes were so epic that on the way to the premiere,
- 15:00Speaker 1: they kept being stopped by kids for photos on the streets.
- 15:02Speaker 2: It seemed to be very sweet.
- 15:04Speaker 1: And people think that this is the reason why Rebecca
- 15:07Speaker 1: is taking a swipe at Olivia due to the fact
- 15:09Speaker 1: that they put so much effort into the costumes because
- 15:11Speaker 1: she spoke about this desperation to be seen rather than
- 15:15Speaker 1: to actually see the movie. It seems like Rebecca has
- 15:18Speaker 1: rocked up to this event and seen Olivia White's costume
- 15:21Speaker 1: and gone, fuck, she beat me.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Her costume is better.
- 15:24Speaker 1: The thing is I kind of think that they put
- 15:26Speaker 1: in a lot of effort because they are actually genuinely
- 15:29Speaker 1: fans of the movie, not because, they necessarily want to
- 15:32Speaker 1: be seen. I mean, yes, of course it is a
- 15:34Speaker 1: great opportunity to create content, but I don't think you
- 15:37Speaker 1: put in that much effort if you weren't a fan.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I think the Ears Tour has actually triggered this new
- 15:42Speaker 1: phenomenon where the main character, of course, has always been
- 15:46Speaker 1: the person on the stage.
- 15:47Speaker 2: That used to be Taylor Swift at the Ears Tour.
- 15:49Speaker 1: However, now that we have TikTok, you become the main
- 15:53Speaker 1: character in an event like that. So you show yourself
- 15:56Speaker 1: getting ready to go to the event, you show yourself
- 15:58Speaker 1: getting dressed up, you show your reaction to when the
- 16:00Speaker 1: person goes on stage.
- 16:02Speaker 2: And it's all very inward now.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I think it's also this phenomenon of girlhood where it's
- 16:07Speaker 1: this excuse for adults to revert back to childhood and
- 16:11Speaker 1: find wonder and enjoyment in wholesome things like this. You know,
- 16:14Speaker 1: it's an excuse to catch up with your friends and,
- 16:17Speaker 1: you know, plan your outfit and get creative.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I really enjoy it.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Yeah. And it made me feel a little bit sad
- 16:23Speaker 1: for Olivia that this was seemingly targeted at her because
- 16:27Speaker 1: She obviously had a lot of fun going to this event,
- 16:29Speaker 1: put a lot of effort into it. Yeah, the thing
- 16:31Speaker 1: that also made me feel for Olivia was that it
- 16:33Speaker 1: was quite clear that she felt a bit anxious in
- 16:35Speaker 1: the lead up to the event because she ended up
- 16:37Speaker 1: sharing a post shouting out all of the incredible people
- 16:40Speaker 1: in her life who helped make the event so magical.
- 16:43Speaker 1: So she thanked her mom for helping her make the
- 16:45Speaker 1: dress and her husband for helping her ideas come to life.
- 16:48Speaker 1: She wrote, those are my close friends would know the
- 16:50Speaker 1: self-doubt and fear I had this week because sometimes when
- 16:53Speaker 1: you put yourself out there, especially as a neurodivergent woman,
- 16:56Speaker 1: you tell yourself it won't be perfect.
- 16:58Speaker 2: What if people laugh at you or that people.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Will not understand your excitement and passion and will label
- 17:03Speaker 1: you as too much attention seeking and over the top.
- 17:06Speaker 1: But I'm glad I pushed through and I'm so incredibly
- 17:08Speaker 1: humbled by how kind everyone has been. And of course,
- 17:11Speaker 1: my ADHD brain is already deep on the next project.
- 17:14Speaker 1: So did she share that after Rebecca Little came out
- 17:17Speaker 1: with her statement?
- 17:18Speaker 2: Because it seems like a dig back at her. Yes,
- 17:20Speaker 2: she did share it a little bit after.
- 17:23Speaker 1: So you can imagine how those negative comments have clearly
- 17:26Speaker 1: affected her. And it was quite awkward because both women
- 17:30Speaker 1: gave two very different overviews of the event. So while
- 17:33Speaker 1: Rebecca said that the actions of some invited guests was unsettling,
- 17:37Speaker 1: Olivia gushed about what a safe space the event felt like,
- 17:40Speaker 1: so she praised the host, Ruben Kay, writing, I need
- 17:43Speaker 1: to ask, does anyone know what Rebecca Little wore to
- 17:44Speaker 1: the event?
- 17:45Speaker 3: She wore.
- 17:59Speaker 2: A black gown.
- 18:00Speaker 1: So it definitely wasn't an out there costume. I mean,
- 18:03Speaker 1: it wasn't a costume at all. No, I mean, yeah,
- 18:05Speaker 1: she had sort of dramatic makeup on, which was sort
- 18:07Speaker 1: of in the vibe of Wicked, but obviously she didn't
- 18:10Speaker 1: go to the same level as a lot of the
- 18:12Speaker 1: other influencers there. I mean, it wasn't required for you
- 18:15Speaker 1: to wear a costume there. Yeah, but it's giving vibes
- 18:17Speaker 1: that she kind of regretted not going fully out there.
- 18:20Speaker 1: So then wanted to kind of ridicule the ones that did. Yeah. Well,
- 18:24Speaker 1: on Friday, Rebecca decided to share more details about the
- 18:27Speaker 1: alleged incident that took place at the event. So she
- 18:30Speaker 1: shared a photo of her and her daughter on the
- 18:32Speaker 1: red carpet and explained that it had taken her a
- 18:35Speaker 1: few days to process the incident and said she never
- 18:38Speaker 1: realised a movie premiere could teach her so much in
- 18:40Speaker 1: one night. It's all very dramatic, isn't it, what she's
- 18:43Speaker 1: been writing?
- 18:44Speaker 4: What happened?
- 18:44Speaker 2: Like, I don't get it.
- 18:45Speaker 1: So she continued on with the Wicked theme, writing, Wicked
- 18:48Speaker 1: for good hit me harder than I expected. It reminded
- 18:52Speaker 1: me that being called Wicked was often means you're brave
- 18:55Speaker 1: enough to be yourself in a world that wants you smaller,
- 18:58Speaker 1: that it's better to go your own way than stay
- 19:00Speaker 1: grounded just to get approval, and that being good doesn't
- 19:03Speaker 1: mean staying quiet. It means speaking your truth, even if
- 19:06Speaker 1: it makes people uncomfortable. She continued saying, now I see
- 19:09Speaker 1: it in my daughter. She's learning that kindness isn't weakness,
- 19:13Speaker 1: that strength and softness can live in the same heart,
- 19:15Speaker 1: and that she doesn't have to accept cruelty, disrespect, or intimidation,
- 19:19Speaker 1: or anyone trying to dim her light. Now, this is
- 19:21Speaker 1: where the post went up a notch. Rebecca then went
- 19:24Speaker 1: on to accuse an adult at the event of purposely
- 19:27Speaker 1: stepping on her daughter's belongings, which were tucked away in
- 19:31Speaker 1: a corner. She also said disgusting jokes were made from
- 19:34Speaker 1: the same individual about a staple gun being in their bag.
- 19:39Speaker 1: And she said that her daughter needs to know she
- 19:41Speaker 1: can walk away from bullies, set boundaries and shine. What's
- 19:44Speaker 1: the staple gun? Do you mean that there was sort
- 19:47Speaker 1: of a violent threat or something? I'm confused.
- 19:50Speaker 2: By that as well.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I mean, does it imply that someone was using a
- 19:53Speaker 1: staple gun for an out there costume?
- 19:56Speaker 2: I'm confused by it.
- 19:57Speaker 1: This is the issue when people go public and talk
- 20:00Speaker 1: in riddles because you can draw your own conclusions that
- 20:03Speaker 1: are very wrong. And particularly when you are accusing an
- 20:06Speaker 1: adult of like trotting on a child's belongings. I mean,
- 20:10Speaker 1: surely this is not about Olivia White. I want to
- 20:13Speaker 1: believe that there's some wires that are crossed. I can't
- 20:16Speaker 1: see a mum doing this to another child. And from
- 20:18Speaker 1: watching Olivia's content, I also don't think that she has
- 20:21Speaker 1: it in her. She seems genuinely like a nice person
- 20:24Speaker 1: who just has been excited about this event. I mean, obviously,
- 20:27Speaker 1: if these events that Rebecca Little has outlined are true,
- 20:30Speaker 1: then it's not a very nice thing to do. But
- 20:32Speaker 1: I think it is worse to come out and make
- 20:35Speaker 1: these allegations with no proof and to essentially defame all
- 20:40Speaker 1: of the influencers were there at the event, particularly the
- 20:42Speaker 1: one that she has beef with.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I don't think that's fair.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Well, it's quite telling because the post has subsequently been deleted.
- 20:48Speaker 2: So, well, that says a lot, doesn't it?
- 20:51Speaker 3: I would just say, like, girl, I know you love
- 20:56Speaker 3: so hard and you have so much love to give,
- 21:00Speaker 3: but just.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Give that love to yourself first.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:07Speaker 2: In her most.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Candid interview to date, Tammy Hembrough has admitted she struggled
- 21:11Speaker 1: to cope following her public divorce from Matt Zukowski. The
- 21:15Speaker 1: Gold Coast influencer broke down on her sister Emily Hembrough's podcast,
- 21:19Speaker 1: saying she should have noticed the red flags that appeared
- 21:22Speaker 1: early on. Now, Kate, you called part one of Emily's
- 21:25Speaker 1: chat with Tammy and also their sister Amy a bit
- 21:27Speaker 1: of a snore fest. But this episode definitely delivered.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it definitely made up for part one.
- 21:33Speaker 1: But from a production sense, I probably would have aired
- 21:35Speaker 1: it first just to get the hype around the launch
- 21:38Speaker 1: of her podcast. Now, this is the first time we've
- 21:41Speaker 1: really heard Tammy open up about her divorce on a podcast.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I mean, in recent weeks, she has been doing a
- 21:46Speaker 1: bit of a publicity tour for her supplement brand, Selfish,
- 21:49Speaker 1: where she's been popping up on a number of influencer-led podcasts.
- 21:52Speaker 1: She was coming on Outspoken, but that got cancelled last minute.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Not that we're dirty on it or anything. No, that
- 21:57Speaker 1: being said, she didn't really give... much away during those interviews.
- 22:01Speaker 1: She spoke very generally and with not much emotion. So
- 22:04Speaker 1: my guess is that she was waiting to give her
- 22:07Speaker 1: sister Emily the exclusive to help bolster her new podcast.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I mean, it also makes sense because obviously if she's
- 22:12Speaker 1: talking to her sister, she's going to be in a.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Safe space to open up.
- 22:16Speaker 1: If I was Emily, though, I would have got my
- 22:18Speaker 1: episode out first because now that Tammy's been on quite
- 22:21Speaker 1: a number of podcasts, I think the interest is dwindling.
- 22:24Speaker 1: They kind of interrupted her a bit too. Like she
- 22:26Speaker 1: was about to divulge a bit more and then as
- 22:28Speaker 1: sisters do, they all spoke over each other and you're
- 22:31Speaker 1: kind of like, hold on, let her speak.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Because they know the.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Full story so they're not as interested to hear it.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Whereas if it was on a podcast like Outspoken, you know,
- 22:38Speaker 1: we would have shut up and listened.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Now, Tammy lifted the lid on how she's really been
- 22:45Speaker 1: coping with the divorce behind the scenes. Let's take a
- 22:48Speaker 1: listen to some of what she said.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Yeah, dealing with like my divorce and everything so publicly
- 22:55Speaker 3: is really difficult because.
- 23:01Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 23:01Speaker 3: It's just like there's so many different emotions. Like it's humiliating.
- 23:05Speaker 3: It's heartbreaking. It's just I feel yeah, you guys saw,
- 23:10Speaker 3: have seen firsthand, like what I've sort of been going
- 23:13Speaker 3: through with it. Like I, I honestly haven't coped like
- 23:17Speaker 3: in the beginning, I like really was not coping well
- 23:21Speaker 3: with it. And, um, I feel like it's definitely changed
- 23:25Speaker 3: my perspective on a lot of things, especially like future relationships.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Um, I mean, while this is the first time we've
- 23:35Speaker 1: heard Tammy speak in depth about the breakup on a podcast,
- 23:38Speaker 1: she has given us tidbits on her TikTok and on
- 23:41Speaker 1: her YouTube before trying to paint a picture of how
- 23:44Speaker 1: upset she is. Because I think in order to win
- 23:46Speaker 1: a breakup when you actually haven't said the reason behind it,
- 23:50Speaker 1: if you are deemed as the one that's more upset,
- 23:52Speaker 1: you win.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Well, yeah, you're the victim in it.
- 23:55Speaker 1: And I think because she appeared to move on very
- 23:57Speaker 1: quickly and go on that date with Bailey Smith, people
- 23:59Speaker 1: assumed that she wasn't upset about it. But She went
- 24:02Speaker 1: on to say that shortly after the divorce, she struggled
- 24:04Speaker 1: to even function. She said that she was very anxious
- 24:07Speaker 1: and she could barely walk from her car to the
- 24:09Speaker 1: front door without being in hysterics. She even went as
- 24:13Speaker 1: far as saying that she felt like she wasn't showing
- 24:15Speaker 1: up as a mom. So she said that there would
- 24:17Speaker 1: be times when she'd go and hide in her shower
- 24:20Speaker 1: and lie on the shower.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Floor to cry.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Because she didn't want her kids coming in and seeing
- 24:24Speaker 1: how upset that she was. That would be so hard
- 24:26Speaker 1: going through a breakup having kids because, I mean, I
- 24:30Speaker 1: think back to the breakups that I went through in
- 24:32Speaker 1: my 20s. I mean, I couldn't function. You have to
- 24:34Speaker 1: go to work and put on a brave face. I
- 24:35Speaker 1: suppose that's what it would be like in front of kids.
- 24:38Speaker 1: But you're having to do that at work and then
- 24:40Speaker 1: at home. You need some time to decompress. Well, she
- 24:43Speaker 1: said that her kids were actually a big part of
- 24:45Speaker 1: her healing. So she said that while she didn't feel
- 24:47Speaker 1: like she was showing up for them, they were showing
- 24:49Speaker 1: up for her and they were a good distraction. Now,
- 24:52Speaker 1: during Tammy and Matt's relationship, there were persistent rumours that
- 24:56Speaker 1: Matt was tuning girls behind her back. That seemed to
- 24:59Speaker 1: be the narrative. And this was really exacerbated by the
- 25:02Speaker 1: DM scandal at the Grand Prix and also his ex, Genevieve,
- 25:06Speaker 1: claiming that there was a crossover between her and Tammy. Now,
- 25:10Speaker 1: while they didn't confirm this during the interview, the sisters
- 25:13Speaker 1: seemed to hint that there was bad behaviour from Matt.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Let's take a listen.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Well, you obviously wanted it to work.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Like even when there was situation after situation after situation
- 25:25Speaker 3: and I'm not sure about you, Amy, but I was
- 25:26Speaker 3: like enough is enough. Like you are just trying so
- 25:30Speaker 3: hard to make it work that you are just letting everything,
- 25:34Speaker 3: you know, all these situations where it's not okay.
- 25:39Speaker 2: And looking back now, I'm like it's crazy to me.
- 25:42Speaker 3: But like I was so just swept up in it
- 25:47Speaker 3: that I was willing to overlook so many things and
- 25:50Speaker 3: I was so like.
- 25:54Speaker 1: They're obviously putting a lot of blame on Matt. And
- 25:56Speaker 1: it's no surprise because Emily and Amy are not his
- 25:59Speaker 1: biggest fans. Like we have spoken in length about the
- 26:01Speaker 1: podcast episode that they appeared on, on Where's Your Head At,
- 26:05Speaker 1: when they essentially gave it to Matt on his own podcast.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I mean, I just want to know what were the scenarios? Like,
- 26:11Speaker 1: tell us, we want to know. And I think that
- 26:13Speaker 1: the reason they are putting this out there is because
- 26:16Speaker 1: Matt has been trying to sell a different story on
- 26:18Speaker 1: his podcast. And if anything, he has been receiving a
- 26:21Speaker 1: lot of sympathy and he's sort of been playing off
- 26:25Speaker 1: that it was Tammy's fault for the divorce. I mean,
- 26:28Speaker 1: even on his podcast last week, he was talking about
- 26:30Speaker 1: how much it's been affecting him seeing TikToks of Lapland,
- 26:34Speaker 1: which is where he and Tammy went for their honeymoon
- 26:37Speaker 1: and about how he's going to be alone this Christmas.
- 26:40Speaker 1: And Again, you would get the vibe that she was
- 26:43Speaker 1: the one who was responsible for the split and who
- 26:47Speaker 1: cut things off.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Matt's story isn't that consistent because he makes it sound
- 26:50Speaker 1: like he was the one that was dumped, but then
- 26:52Speaker 1: he's spoken about the fact that he was the one that.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Decided to leave the marriage.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I think they've got to stop talking in these constant
- 26:58Speaker 1: riddles because it is getting very confusing. I mean, Tammy
- 27:02Speaker 1: spoke about having rose colored glasses on at the start
- 27:05Speaker 1: of their relationship, which was quite interesting. And she warned
- 27:09Speaker 1: her listeners that early red flags are going to be
- 27:11Speaker 1: 10 times worse later on.
- 27:13Speaker 2: So that is quite telling.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Can you believe that this Sunday would have been their
- 27:18Speaker 1: first wedding anniversary?
- 27:19Speaker 2: That blows my mind.
- 27:20Speaker 1: I remember when the pap photos of the pink dress
- 27:23Speaker 1: came out. The drone images. It does not seem that
- 27:26Speaker 1: long ago at all. Yeah, it's pretty wild. I mean,
- 27:29Speaker 1: it's going to be an emotional time for both of them.
- 27:32Speaker 1: I'm predicting that they'll both put something up. Well, I mean,
- 27:35Speaker 1: surely that's a weekend where you want to keep busy,
- 27:37Speaker 1: maybe go on a trip, take your mind off things.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Tammy did touch on the wedding, describing it as an
- 27:43Speaker 1: expensive learning experience. Are we assuming she paid for it all? Oh,
- 27:47Speaker 1: you get that vibe. It's clear that she has done
- 27:49Speaker 1: quite a lot of self-reflection. And also a lot of
- 27:52Speaker 1: therapy since the divorce because she admitted that she had
- 27:56Speaker 1: been naive entering into the relationship. Her sisters were probably like, yes, yes,
- 28:01Speaker 1: you were. Let's take a listen to what she said.
- 28:04Speaker 3: I feel like I genuinely like have learnt though now
- 28:08Speaker 3: that I can't be so, you know, like naive when
- 28:12Speaker 3: it comes to just like feelings.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Fall in love.
- 28:17Speaker 5: And that's something that you had to learn on your
- 28:21Speaker 5: own as much as we could try and give you advice.
- 28:24Speaker 5: And it hurts me so much to see. It's just
- 28:27Speaker 5: a shame that I had to go.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Through like a whole wedding to learn that lesson.
- 28:32Speaker 2: And publicly. Like at the time, obviously, I didn't think
- 28:36Speaker 2: I was going to be getting a divorce.
- 28:39Speaker 3: Obviously. You thought it was forever. So you're grieving now.
- 28:43Speaker 3: uh future that you saw as well.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Yeah like but hindsight's 2020 like it's so crazy to
- 28:51Speaker 4: me now like looking back I see so many things
- 28:54Speaker 4: that I didn't like notice at the time that people
- 28:57Speaker 4: around me were telling me and I just.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Feel like why they say like love is blind blinding.
- 29:03Speaker 3: I I was definitely blind at the time I think
- 29:06Speaker 3: I just like I think I just wanted like you
- 29:10Speaker 3: know the fairy tales.
- 29:11Speaker 1: But This would be very validating for Amy and Emily
- 29:16Speaker 1: because they were probably the loudest voices in Tammy's life
- 29:19Speaker 1: telling her that, you know, there are a lot of
- 29:21Speaker 1: red flags.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Don't marry this guy.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I would say that one of the early red flags
- 29:25Speaker 1: that we know about is when Matt attended Tammy's New
- 29:28Speaker 1: Year's Eve party. So it was hosted at her place.
- 29:31Speaker 1: And according to Emily and Amy, he kept referring to
- 29:35Speaker 1: it as our house. So they mentioned that on his
- 29:37Speaker 1: podcast during.
- 29:38Speaker 2: That infamous interview.
- 29:39Speaker 1: And he's like, I don't recall that. And they're like,
- 29:41Speaker 1: you definitely did. Isn't that just such an ick when
- 29:44Speaker 1: someone puts claim to something that is not theirs, that
- 29:46Speaker 1: is the result of someone else's hard work? Yeah. I mean,
- 29:48Speaker 1: it did give a bit of clout chasing vibes there
- 29:51Speaker 1: and it did lead obviously her family to question whether
- 29:54Speaker 1: he was interested in her money.
- 29:55Speaker 2: I mean, they did end up signing a prenup.
- 29:58Speaker 1: So It'd be interesting to actually see what happens with
- 30:00Speaker 1: the divorce, whether he will get any money.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Well, that is where we're going to leave things today.
- 30:04Speaker 1: But if you want to hear more from us, we
