The historic General Administration Building in Olympia, Washington — once a symbol of postwar state growth and the first structure built on campus after the Great Depression — has officially met its end. Demolition, set to wrap by December 2026, began in August after the state invested $4.3 million to tear down the aging, earthquake-vulnerable structure vacated since 2018.
