- 0:00I'm discussing seven famous people who autism coming up.
- 0:04Okay, guys. Ah, I'm so pumped.
- 0:06I like did a video ages ago about like people who had like
- 0:09autism who are famous and it was really good.
- 0:11I love the video I had fun, but I feel like I wanted to do like
- 0:14more that I didn't cover then and there's been like way more
- 0:17that I've read about and found out about that.
- 0:20You know, I didn't even know existed that had autism it was
- 0:23super super crazy still here goes nothing here are seven
- 0:27celebrities or famous people who have Of autism that probably
- 0:30didn't even know. So the first one I'm super
- 0:32excited about was a guy called Satoshi Tajiri and he is the guy
- 0:38who created Pokemon now, he's been diagnosed with Asperger
- 0:41syndrome, which is what my diagnosis was and now it's
- 0:43changed to autism spectrum disorder not Asperger's
- 0:46Syndrome, but it's the same thing his colleagues have
- 0:49described them has been reclusive and eccentric.
- 0:51But the unreal brain is The Mastermind behind one of the
- 0:55highest grossing franchises of all time as we know as Pokémon.
- 0:58This is really interesting. Because Pokemon is like one of
- 1:01my favorite things ever a friend of mine.
- 1:03Anna Moomin who's also got a channel called animun.
- 1:06She is an autistic female and a YouTuber but she also was
- 1:10obsessed on is obsessive Pokemon and I love Pokemon, right and
- 1:13most of my friends who are on the Spectrum love Pokemon and
- 1:16it's really funny that the guy who created it is on the
- 1:18Spectrum. So it's like well, it makes
- 1:20sense that we'd all love Pokemon.
- 1:22I mean like that's super cool. Okay guys number two.
- 1:25This was a relatively new one but super impacting right now
- 1:29this Is Greta thunbergii now Greta is a an activist of
- 1:34climate activists from Europe. She is a killing it right now
- 1:38loads of activism. She just like sailed across like
- 1:41some ocean somewhere. It's like prove a point that you
- 1:43could do it and she said that she was using as religious as
- 1:46her superpower, which is awesome because we talked about on this
- 1:49channel with my last superhero fan base and like all that stuff
- 1:53is super super dope, but she's also leading the world climate
- 1:56change efforts to kind of Save the Planet this woman is just
- 2:00Unreal she's super young as well.
- 2:01I think she's like maybe like 1819 really influential.
- 2:04She's taking it like a boss you get loads of criticism and I
- 2:07think she's a very inspirational person definitely check it out.
- 2:10And if you'd like to see a video just on Greta Thunderbird, make
- 2:12sure to give this video a thumbs up so I can know if you want me
- 2:15to do a video just on heard. I'll be super super awsome.
- 2:18Okay number three is an interesting one because this
- 2:21came out about a year ago a guy called Chris Packham who is a
- 2:25very famous TV presenter a personality over here in the
- 2:28United Kingdom. And Chris is really into like
- 2:31Wildlife. I think like that think that his
- 2:33thing he like Wildlife documentaries and like nature
- 2:35and things like that. And so he does all that kind of
- 2:38stuff. But anyway, he came out as
- 2:39saying he had an Autism Spectrum diagnosis and it was really cool
- 2:42because like the country just greeted him with open arms.
- 2:45It was this fascinating experience and he does a lot of
- 2:48work with the national autistic Society who I also do some work
- 2:50with what you wear. This black truck behind me here
- 2:52is from and yeah, I think Chris is really cool guys doing a lot
- 2:55of cool stuff for the community and it's nice to see people in
- 2:59like You know big high of kind of a professional jobs like that
- 3:02on the Spectrum and you kind of helps you feel like you can
- 3:04achieve those goals, right? I think that's almost the only
- 3:06Role Models number four is Susan Boyle good old subo.
- 3:10So Susan Boyle if you don't know was a competition when it from
- 3:13something called X Factor, which was a British television show
- 3:16created by psycho media and it was aired on ITV, which is like
- 3:20a channel over here in the United Kingdom for years and
- 3:23years, you know people just thought super was super odd, and
- 3:26she was like a bit different from you know your average
- 3:28person and Yeah, I've been kind of Judge to her for what she did
- 3:31and her actions and stuff like that.
- 3:33But then it turns out that she said she had Asperger's syndrome
- 3:35and everyone was kind of like oh that's kind of makes sense why
- 3:37she's so kind of like uniquely quirky and all that kind of cool
- 3:40stuff. And yeah, she's just very
- 3:42inspirational because like she's a very very successful singer.
- 3:47She was like very focused on singing.
- 3:48She's got a fantastic voice and she worked really really hard.
- 3:51So again for young ladies, you know who are wanting to get into
- 3:54the creative aspects are on the Spectrum just like Susan Boyle -
- 3:57woman did it, you know, she's living the dream and she has
- 3:59that kind of Like Slumdog Millionaire like story to it.
- 4:03I think it's amazing and she's very influential.
- 4:05So thank you sue well for being super awesome.
- 4:07Okay guys number five. Very interesting.
- 4:10This one is Sir Anthony Hopkins. No Anthony Hopkins is an
- 4:15American actor and he was diagnosed with Asperger's
- 4:18Syndrome because his wife said something like she was trying to
- 4:21figure out who she was married to and he credits Asperger's
- 4:24syndrome when making him extremely Relentless and trying
- 4:27to get the stuff done in his work and He said he's unusually
- 4:31hard work and he says this is down to his autism spectrum
- 4:34condition. But he kind of empowers it man.
- 4:36In this case huge. It's like a Hollywood movie
- 4:38star. I mean just think about it.
- 4:39If you're on the Spectrum you want to get into acting there's
- 4:41nothing stopping you're holding you back.
- 4:43Certainly Hopkins done it very very well.
- 4:45And these guys are some of the biggest movies you'll ever see
- 4:48but he's a fantastic actor and this leads me to believe again
- 4:51that like people on the Spectrum have this ability to just excel
- 4:54at the things that they really liked or the hyper focus on are
- 4:57they love, you know, we all have achievements and this is I
- 5:00really want to get across that we all have the ability to do
- 5:03amazing things. And these are just examples.
- 5:06I mean, we're up to five right now and this is just amazing
- 5:09examples of amazing people who have an Autism Spectrum
- 5:12condition that is not letting it like stop them doing anything
- 5:15that they want to do. That's amazing.
- 5:16So yeah, definitely take note of that.
- 5:18Okay. So the next person on my list, I
- 5:20actually really enjoy their music and this woman is called
- 5:23Courtney Love Now call me love is an American singer and
- 5:27musician. She was actually famously known
- 5:29for Marie. Being Kurt Cobain all the late
- 5:31Kurt Cobain from the band Nirvana who very very big in the
- 5:3490s. Unfortunately coca beans
- 5:36deceased and then Courtney Love continued and to play music
- 5:40after their kind of, you know, upset so sad to hear that she
- 5:44was diagnosed at the age of nine and she struggled and she was
- 5:46like a really young girl. We think she has quite a
- 5:48traumatic life, but also having an Autism Spectrum diagnosis at
- 5:529:00 with super interesting. She has a musical Talent.
- 5:55Obviously, she plays guitar. She like rocks out.
- 5:57She's very very creative and I think she says up She puts that
- 6:00down to being autistic like she has this really like really full
- 6:05mind of like creative things. I love that.
- 6:08I just love this whole creative aspect.
- 6:09It makes me just feel super warm and super welcomed in this I
- 6:12community and like, you know, you feel a part of it because I
- 6:15get passionate about stuff and I'm thinking I'm a girl so weird
- 6:17when I see other autistic people who get passionate about things.
- 6:20I'm just like yeah, dude, that's dope.
- 6:22I love it. So yeah Courtney Love amazingly
- 6:24inspirational and I just I know music is awesome herb and whole
- 6:28just so so awesome. I really like them.
- 6:31Okay guys number 7 and now this is the last one on my list and
- 6:34this one came about because I was I did a video last time
- 6:38about famous people on those people that you're commented
- 6:40saying. Oh this person has an Autism
- 6:41Spectrum condition blah blah blah.
- 6:43And so I want to check it out. Now.
- 6:44This guy is a musician called Gary Numan now Gary Newman was a
- 6:48musician a very famous musician from the 70s.
- 6:50He's British and he's always been quite odd and quirky.
- 6:53He's like a glam rock star. I guess I like alternative like
- 6:56industrial glam-rock. I don't know.
- 6:58I don't know what type of music you call his Cry but Gary Newman
- 7:01is a super awesome guy. He's got a very unique style.
- 7:04He's got he's very talented. He's very creative and he just
- 7:07has this like glow about him. That's like just super awesome.
- 7:11Now, I love that about Gary Newman.
- 7:13And I love that. He really empowers autism in
- 7:15most interviews. He'll want to mention his
- 7:17autistic traits and he'll like say how how much he enjoys being
- 7:21autistic and how he's used that I feel his creativity This Guy's
- 7:25super inspirational. I definitely recommend checking
- 7:27out some speeches or any articles.
- 7:28He's written on Being autistic because it's nice to see you
- 7:32know other people coming out and saying I have an Autism Spectrum
- 7:34condition, but I do this and that because it helps younger
- 7:37people have role models and get inspired.
- 7:39I love it. I just love all this stuff guys.
- 7:41That was my list of seven famous people, but guys without further
- 7:44Ado. I'll see you.
- 7:45Peace.
