- 0:01Speaker 1: This is The Mark Simone Show on 710WOR.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Hey, it's the middle of the week. It's 13 days
- 0:12Speaker 2: until election night. 13 days from now, election night. It's
- 0:17Speaker 2: going to be a big, big, big night. We'll see
- 0:19Speaker 2: what happens. A lot is going on all over the country.
- 0:22Speaker 2: The Senate looks very good for Republicans. The House could
- 0:28Speaker 2: go either way. Behind the scenes, every real pollster behind
- 0:31Speaker 2: the scenes tells you they cannot see a clear winner here.
- 0:36Speaker 2: It's just deadlocked. The final two weeks is going to
- 0:39Speaker 2: be a big, big push. President Trump, who's got a
- 0:43Speaker 2: lot of money in those Republican funds there, is about
- 0:48Speaker 2: to give $ 400 million into these campaigns. He's plowing $ 400
- 0:53Speaker 2: million into the campaigns. Now, little Mike Bloomberg has announced
- 0:58Speaker 2: he'll put $ 80 million towards the Democratic campaigns. Obviously, Trump's
- 1:04Speaker 2: $ 400 million, only to Republicans. Bloomberg will be given $ 80
- 1:07Speaker 2: million to Democrats. Bloomberg, a lifelong Democrat, who you'll remember
- 1:12Speaker 2: when he wanted to be mayor, he pretended to be
- 1:14Speaker 2: a Republican for a while, but he's a lifelong Democrat,
- 1:18Speaker 2: supporter of all kinds of crazy stuff, common sense stuff,
- 1:22Speaker 2: but some crazy stuff. He can go A little in
- 1:25Speaker 2: both sides there. But he's jumping in the race. Now,
- 1:31Speaker 2: there's certain people that kept quiet about 2028, but it's
- 1:34Speaker 2: pretty obvious they're running now. One is J.B. Pritzker, the
- 1:38Speaker 2: big fat Ralph Cramden governor of Illinois. Although he's on
- 1:43Speaker 2: those shots now. He's slimming down. He's got a ways
- 1:48Speaker 2: to go, but he's slimming down. He's a very wealthy guy.
- 1:51Speaker 2: He's a billionaire. He's worth $ 4 billion. He is spending
- 1:55Speaker 2: a lot of money. Pritzker is throwing a lot of
- 1:59Speaker 2: money around, about $ 40 million altogether, and especially for black
- 2:03Speaker 2: and Hispanic candidates. Now, why would that be? Well, he
- 2:07Speaker 2: wants to run in 2028, and he's studied the whole process,
- 2:12Speaker 2: and he sees that you got to win over a
- 2:14Speaker 2: few people like Clyburn, Senator Clyburn of South Carolina. Remember,
- 2:20Speaker 2: he's the one who got Joe Biden a nomination. You know,
- 2:24Speaker 2: when they all got to South Carolina, everybody got chased
- 2:27Speaker 2: out of the race and Biden was anointed. So he's
- 2:31Speaker 2: trying to win over Clyburn and some other black and
- 2:33Speaker 2: Hispanic leaders. He thinks that's the key to 2028. Clyburn,
- 2:38Speaker 2: very grateful, but he said, he said to be taken seriously,
- 2:44Speaker 2: he is taken seriously, but he said they won't be
- 2:48Speaker 2: swayed by campaign contributions alone. Although it's a big help.
- 2:54Speaker 2: But he's clearly in the race. Looks like Mark Kelly
- 2:57Speaker 2: wants to get in the race. That's that awful, nasty,
- 3:01Speaker 2: vicious senator from Arizona. He is obviously running around right now.
- 3:10Speaker 2: He's campaigning in 20 states. If you want to run
- 3:14Speaker 2: in two years, you run around now pretending you're there campaigning.
- 3:18Speaker 2: for candidates, but you're actually campaigning for yourself. He said,
- 3:22Speaker 2: when asked, is he running for president, said he's getting
- 3:26Speaker 2: closer to making a decision. Well, it's being cagey, but
- 3:29Speaker 2: when you're on a plane flying to 20 different places,
- 3:32Speaker 2: it's pretty obvious what you're up to. Hey, Texas, they've
- 3:36Speaker 2: registered a lot of people. They can now have almost
- 3:38Speaker 2: 20 million people registered to vote. That breaks the all-time record.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Registration up. But again, too close to the call. Nobody
- 3:46Speaker 2: knows what will happen. Bruce Blakeman campaigning yesterday with George Pataki.
- 3:51Speaker 2: That'll be a big help. They were up at the border,
- 3:55Speaker 2: the Pennsylvania border, because Pennsylvania allows fracking, and things are
- 4:00Speaker 2: booming there.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Booming.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Their energy costs are low because they've got all that
- 4:04Speaker 2: natural gas. We have just as much, but because of
- 4:07Speaker 2: Cuomo and Hochul, we're not allowed to frack. So your
- 4:11Speaker 2: energy bill is four times more than it would be
- 4:13Speaker 2: in Pennsylvania. The economy... is nothing like Pennsylvania's booming economy.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Blakeman will bring back fracking.
- 4:21Speaker 4: We could start fracking tomorrow on the southern tier in
- 4:24Speaker 4: New York. We've got one of the largest natural gas
- 4:27Speaker 4: reserves in the world. Increase our energy supply by a
- 4:31Speaker 4: tremendous level and cut our utility bills in half.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Yeah, now Pataki out there campaigning with him, proudly campaigning
- 4:39Speaker 2: with him. Pataki, the last Republican governor and really the
- 4:44Speaker 2: last popular governor We've ever had. Cuomo was not a
- 4:48Speaker 2: popular governor. Oh, he had a moment there during the
- 4:50Speaker 2: pandemic with his briefings because everybody was locked up in
- 4:53Speaker 2: their house and terrified. So they watched them every day.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Soon as they were allowed out, they stopped watching his briefings.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Ratings plunged and he had to stop doing them. But then,
- 5:03Speaker 2: of course, Cuomo left in disgrace, in total disgrace, fled
- 5:07Speaker 2: Albany with the police chasing him. So you can't say
- 5:10Speaker 2: it was a successful governorship. blakeman on hokal.
- 5:15Speaker 4: So let's start off with 48 utility rate hikes in
- 5:18Speaker 4: the last four years that's one a month and the
- 5:22Speaker 4: reason why our utility bills are so high is because
- 5:25Speaker 4: she's completely wedded to green energy it's a scam we're
- 5:30Speaker 4: not going to be able to provide enough energy with
- 5:33Speaker 4: wind turbines in the solar farms in upstate new york
- 5:36Speaker 4: that are under snow you.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Can make the case it's a scam because uh It
- 5:41Speaker 2: sounds good on paper, windmills and solar and all this stuff.
- 5:45Speaker 2: But every time it's tried, it totally bombs. It produces
- 5:49Speaker 2: very little energy. It does more environmental damage than the
- 5:52Speaker 2: gasoline does. It is ridiculously expensive. It's 10 times the
- 5:58Speaker 2: cost of normal electricity. Europe tried it. Germany tried it.
- 6:03Speaker 2: A lot of European countries went totally green. Wind and solar.
- 6:07Speaker 2: For a year or two. Finally, about a year ago,
- 6:09Speaker 2: had to take it all down because it doesn't work.
- 6:13Speaker 2: In fact, it does just the opposite of what you
- 6:15Speaker 2: think it's going to do. So that's the scam part
- 6:17Speaker 2: of it. Hokel on Blakeman.
- 6:19Speaker 5: Picture his vision for New York. Hyperscale data centers all
- 6:23Speaker 5: over New York State. Smokestacks building out of fossil fuel
- 6:28Speaker 5: generated power plants, as well as oil rigs and fracking
- 6:33Speaker 5: rigs everywhere.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I think he was talking about fracking. There's no smoke.
- 6:37Speaker 2: There's no smokestacks. Fracking, it's underground. It's the cleanest energy
- 6:42Speaker 2: in the world. Data centers in New York? Oh, my God.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Could you even imagine that? Well, I don't know if
- 6:50Speaker 2: she knows this. We have 35 data centers already in
- 6:53Speaker 2: New York. You know, we have 19 data centers in Manhattan.
- 6:56Speaker 2: They've been there for years. The smaller ones, but we
- 6:58Speaker 2: have data centers in Manhattan. We've had them for a while.
- 7:01Speaker 2: And again, those data centers... the big boogeyman there. You're
- 7:04Speaker 2: supposed to be terrified of the data center. They're getting
- 7:07Speaker 2: better and better as far as electricity use, water. They
- 7:11Speaker 2: figured out how to solve those problems. The only problem
- 7:14Speaker 2: is the noise. They're figuring that out. They'll make quieter turbines.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And every year, the data centers will get smaller, just
- 7:22Speaker 2: like the computers did. You know, back in 1975, that
- 7:26Speaker 2: IBM computer was like the size of a basketball court. Now,
- 7:30Speaker 2: It's the size of my phone. In fact, my phone
- 7:32Speaker 2: has more power than that computer did. So the data
- 7:35Speaker 2: centers will also get smaller and smaller. President Trump every
- 7:40Speaker 2: day flying to different states. Today he goes to South
- 7:43Speaker 2: Carolina to campaign. That's Darlene Graham, Lindsey Graham's sister. Very
- 7:49Speaker 2: nice woman, not a great candidate. But he'll try to
- 7:53Speaker 2: pull her across the finish line. J.D. Vance back in
- 7:56Speaker 2: Ohio today. Vivek Ramaswamy, you remember him? He's running for
- 8:00Speaker 2: governor of Ohio. And it's a strange race, very strange race.
- 8:06Speaker 2: He needs a lot of help. This is like the
- 8:08Speaker 2: fourth time Vance has had to go to Ohio to
- 8:10Speaker 2: help out. So the strangest thing, I don't think we
- 8:13Speaker 2: have it here. We don't have the audio. But he's
- 8:16Speaker 2: running against this woman who's a little weird. And I
- 8:22Speaker 2: don't know how this even happened. He got the woman's mother,
- 8:26Speaker 2: the Democratic candidate, her mother. recorded an ad for Vivek Ramaswamy.
- 8:34Speaker 2: And it was a pretty vicious ad. The mother looks
- 8:38Speaker 2: into the camera and says, my daughter's a liar. She's
- 8:41Speaker 2: been lying all her life. She's lying about her childhood.
- 8:46Speaker 2: She said she grew up in a tent. She said
- 8:47Speaker 2: that she's lying about that. She's always been a liar.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Don't vote for her. This is Amy Acton, the Democratic
- 8:55Speaker 2: candidate's mother. So that's pretty powerful stuff. But there's a
- 9:02Speaker 2: lot of backlash on this. Obviously, Democrats are furious. The
- 9:05Speaker 2: media is furious. Everybody's all over Vivek Ramaswamy for doing
- 9:09Speaker 2: such an ad. They think it's tasteless. They think family
- 9:12Speaker 2: is off limits. But it is her mother. And in
- 9:17Speaker 2: the ad, the mother says, my daughter needs help. And
- 9:20Speaker 2: she can't help you if she needs help herself. People
- 9:24Speaker 2: can change. But first, they have to tell the truth.
- 9:26Speaker 2: And my daughter still isn't doing that. Don't vote for her.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Don't vote for people who lie. Don't let her become governor. Yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 2: it sounds very odd. It is crossing all kinds of lines.
- 9:39Speaker 2: But if the mother wanted to do this ad, I
- 9:43Speaker 2: don't know. There's a lot of controversy about the ad.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Ramaswamy's campaign admitting it is their ad and they did
- 9:50Speaker 2: pay for it. But that could cause a lot of backlash.
- 9:54Speaker 2: We'll see. President Trump, you know, a lot of controversy.
- 10:01Speaker 2: He's been so friendly lately with Putin, with Russia. He's
- 10:05Speaker 2: been saying nice things about Putin. It's already gotten some benefit.
- 10:09Speaker 2: There's that teacher that Russia has been holding hostage for
- 10:13Speaker 2: four years now. They captured this American teacher. They've been
- 10:18Speaker 2: holding him hostage for four years. He was released yesterday.
- 10:21Speaker 2: No exchange of hostages or anything. He was just released.
- 10:24Speaker 2: So some good has come from praising Putin, although it's
- 10:29Speaker 2: bothering a lot of people. Most people aren't even paying
- 10:32Speaker 2: attention to that part of anything. But Trump on the Ukraine.
- 10:37Speaker 6: Ukraine has to want to settle this war. Zelensky has
- 10:40Speaker 6: to want to settle this war. And if he doesn't,
- 10:43Speaker 6: I think it's going to be a very bad thing. Look,
- 10:45Speaker 6: we have given tremendous amounts to Ukraine.
- 10:50Speaker 2: We've got nothing.
- 10:50Speaker 6: Back other than high diesel. We have given probably, possibly
- 10:59Speaker 6: more money to Ukraine than almost anybody over the years.
- 11:04Speaker 6: Hundreds of billions of dollars. We've got nothing back. And
- 11:09Speaker 6: the American taxpayers are tired of it.
- 11:11Speaker 7: All right.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Now, you know how Trump works. He does carrot first,
- 11:14Speaker 2: then the stick. He always tries the carrot first. With Putin,
- 11:18Speaker 2: he's trying the carrot. Now, if that doesn't work, we'll
- 11:20Speaker 2: get the stick. He already did the carrot phase with Zelensky,
- 11:24Speaker 2: and Zelensky didn't respond well, so now they're on the stick. Zelensky...
- 11:30Speaker 2: They want to have him sit down and talk.
- 11:33Speaker 8: If the issues about Ukraine, our future, it can be
- 11:36Speaker 8: acceptable only when we are at the table of negotiations.
- 11:40Speaker 8: It's absolutely clear. We are thankful that intelligence works. Now,
- 11:46Speaker 8: I'm speaking about early warning, what is very important for
- 11:49Speaker 8: our people.
- 11:50Speaker 7: For children.
- 11:51Speaker 2: He's a little annoying to listen to.
- 11:52Speaker 9: All right.
- 11:53Speaker 2: But he's talking about the Starlink system. They have the
- 11:56Speaker 2: military version called Space Shield. It was throttled down for
- 12:00Speaker 2: a day or two. The Wall Street Journal, not the
- 12:03Speaker 2: most reliable newspaper. The Wall Street Journal now claiming it
- 12:07Speaker 2: was definitely Elon Musk. Personally, Elon Musk, he personally did it.
- 12:11Speaker 2: But again, the Wall Street Journal has gone pretty much
- 12:17Speaker 2: rogue for the last couple of years. What did Scott
- 12:19Speaker 2: Besson say? It's more of a features magazine. They should
- 12:23Speaker 2: call it the Main Street Journal. Again, not most trusted
- 12:28Speaker 2: paper anymore. So they're the ones pinning it all on Musk.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I don't know what evidence they have. They use the
- 12:35Speaker 2: usual stupid people familiar with the matter. Well, when you
- 12:39Speaker 2: quote people familiar with the matter, they're wrong about 80%
- 12:43Speaker 2: of the time. Zelensky on Russia.
- 12:46Speaker 8: We want the Americans to take these ideas to the Russians.
- 12:52Speaker 8: And one of the important ideas is to move to
- 12:55Speaker 8: a trilateral Potential trend that's on meeting all the leaders.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Oh, it's the annoying to listen to. Anyway, hey, there's
- 13:00Speaker 2: a big debate tonight. El-Sayed and Rogers. This is another debate.
- 13:05Speaker 2: In every state, they have two, three debates in a
- 13:08Speaker 2: governor's race or a Senate race. It's only here in
- 13:11Speaker 2: New York where Kathy Hochul refuses that. She only allowed
- 13:15Speaker 2: one debate. She refused the normal two or three debates.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Only one debate. And she demanded it beyond this little
- 13:21Speaker 2: tiny thing that nobody sees. New York won. which is
- 13:25Speaker 2: also very, very biased left-wing. So she demanded, that's the
- 13:29Speaker 2: only thing she'll do, and that's all she did. Turned
- 13:31Speaker 2: down Channel 2, Channel 4, Channel 7, refused to do it.
- 13:35Speaker 2: So pretty, pretty embarrassing. But Al-Sayed, you remember, he was
- 13:40Speaker 2: asked in that last debate, who's a bigger enemy of,
- 13:45Speaker 2: who's a bigger threat to America, Iran or Israel? And
- 13:48Speaker 2: he wouldn't answer. He said, it's a stupid question. It's
- 13:51Speaker 2: different now. Now he's pretty much coming out openly anti-Israel.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Listen to El Sayed.
- 13:57Speaker 10: The question of Israel's existence is not a question. I'm
- 13:59Speaker 10: not going to play this gotcha game about whether or
- 14:01Speaker 10: not it has a right to exist. The question ultimately
- 14:04Speaker 10: is about whether or not we want a politics that dignifies...
- 14:06Speaker 10: You're not going to play the gotcha game, but you're
- 14:08Speaker 10: not going to say you think Israel has.
- 14:10Speaker 11: A right to exist.
- 14:10Speaker 10: Well, my question, you know, Casey, I think the question
- 14:12Speaker 10: we all ought to ask is, does everybody have equal
- 14:15Speaker 10: rights to peace, dignity, and self-determination?
- 14:17Speaker 2: That's Jewish, Israelis, and Palestinians. All right, that's not the clip.
- 14:20Speaker 2: We don't have the right clip. The other thing he
- 14:23Speaker 2: said Israel is not a friend. It's not an ally.
- 14:26Speaker 2: He came right out and said it. Right out and said,
- 14:28Speaker 2: Israel is not a friend of the United States. They
- 14:31Speaker 2: are not an ally. You can criticize Israel or something specific,
- 14:37Speaker 2: but that was pretty bold. He said, they're not a U.S.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Ally.
- 14:41Speaker 2: It's time for us to realize that. An ally that
- 14:45Speaker 2: takes your money to push you into wars you shouldn't
- 14:47Speaker 2: be fighting is not an ally. And he goes on
- 14:51Speaker 2: and on about how bad Israel is. Time to realize
- 14:53Speaker 2: they're not our friend. Obviously, that's a preposterous statement. And,
- 14:57Speaker 2: of course, Donald Trump doesn't get pushed into anything. Nobody's
- 15:01Speaker 2: pushing him around. But it's our ally. It's been our
- 15:05Speaker 2: greatest ally. And I think that's been going on for
- 15:08Speaker 2: about 60, 70 years. So it's a crazy thing for
- 15:12Speaker 2: him to say. Mamdani now really pushing al-Sayed.
- 15:16Speaker 12: When you think about Dr. al-Sayed's campaign campaign, I often
- 15:20Speaker 12: go back to the way that he describes it. Money
- 15:23Speaker 12: out of politics, money in your pocket, Medicare for all.
- 15:26Speaker 12: Those are concerns that ring true for Michiganders. They're also
- 15:30Speaker 12: concerns that ring true for New Yorkers. And I think
- 15:34Speaker 12: that his victory and the victory of Democrats across this
- 15:37Speaker 12: country is of critical importance to our city.
- 15:42Speaker 2: So, yeah, first of all, When you think about Dr. El-Sayed's...
- 15:47Speaker 2: He's not exactly a doctor. He's not allowed... If he
- 15:50Speaker 2: treated a patient, he'd be arrested. It'd be illegal for
- 15:52Speaker 2: him to treat. He's not a physician. He's not... You know,
- 15:55Speaker 2: so when it comes to Oz, they call him Mr.
- 15:59Speaker 9: Oz.
- 16:00Speaker 2: He actually is a doctor, a famed heart surgeon, was
- 16:02Speaker 2: a doctor for decades in a hospital. But him, they
- 16:05Speaker 2: call Mr.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Oz.
- 16:07Speaker 2: But it's Dr. El-Sayed, who's not really a doctor. Katie
- 16:12Speaker 2: Zakaria is more of a lawyer than this guy is
- 16:15Speaker 2: a doctor. So Mamdani really pushing that now, which should
- 16:20Speaker 2: tell you all you need to know about Mamdani and El-Sayed. Hey,
- 16:23Speaker 2: we got a lot to get to. I'm here three
- 16:25Speaker 2: hours every day, nine to noon, three hours every day.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Mark Simone here on 710WOR. Mark Simone. Only on 710WOR. Well, hey,
- 16:39Speaker 2: here's some hotel tips for you. Now, when it comes
- 16:43Speaker 2: to the minibar, you're always afraid of that minibar. It
- 16:47Speaker 2: could cost you a fortune in that minibar. You know
- 16:49Speaker 2: the strange thing about a hotel? You're in a hotel room.
- 16:52Speaker 2: They give you everything for free. Here's free shampoo. Here's
- 16:55Speaker 2: free conditioner. Here's free soap. Everything is free. But you
- 17:01Speaker 2: touch one peanut, $ 40. That's where they rob you in
- 17:05Speaker 2: that minibar. So most people don't even, you know, take
- 17:09Speaker 2: anything out of the minibar, but many of them, especially
- 17:12Speaker 2: in the finer hotels, if you pick up something from
- 17:15Speaker 2: the minibar, take it out and look at it for
- 17:17Speaker 2: too long and put it back, you could get charged
- 17:20Speaker 2: for it. Why? Because the advanced minibars, they've got sensors
- 17:25Speaker 2: under everything, like weight sensors that can tell when you
- 17:28Speaker 2: took something out. If you take it up for a second,
- 17:31Speaker 2: it's not going to go off, but if you take
- 17:33Speaker 2: it and hold it out too long, it could set
- 17:35Speaker 2: off the sensor and you could get billed for it.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Let's see, tip number two, people are worried about everything
- 17:42Speaker 2: being clean. They do clean the sheets. They do wash
- 17:44Speaker 2: the sheets, the pillowcases, all that stuff. But you know,
- 17:48Speaker 2: at the foot of the bed, they have that bed runner,
- 17:50Speaker 2: you know, across the bottom of the bed. That is never,
- 17:54Speaker 2: ever cleaned, ever. So if you're worried about sanitary stuff,
- 17:59Speaker 2: take that off the bed and put that somewhere. Also,
- 18:04Speaker 2: you're supposed to leave a tip for the maid. When
- 18:07Speaker 2: you leave, when you check out three days later, you
- 18:09Speaker 2: leave a little tip in the room for the maid. However,
- 18:12Speaker 2: it's often a different maid every day cleaning the room.
- 18:15Speaker 2: So the one who cleaned it for two days might
- 18:18Speaker 2: not get. So you're actually, it says you're supposed to
- 18:20Speaker 2: tip every day. I'm not going to do that every day.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Nobody's going to do that every day. Also, you put
- 18:26Speaker 2: a do not disturb sign up and you just leave
- 18:29Speaker 2: it up. Well, they actually do go in your room
- 18:33Speaker 2: if it's up too long, like over 24 hours. They
- 18:36Speaker 2: will go in your room. Just a wellness check just
- 18:38Speaker 2: to make sure everything's okay in there. Hey, also, if
- 18:42Speaker 2: you forget your charger or the cable to charge it with,
- 18:45Speaker 2: just go down to the front desk. A lot of
- 18:47Speaker 2: people do this now. So at every hotel front desk,
- 18:50Speaker 2: they got a ton of chargers and cables that will
- 18:53Speaker 2: lend you or probably rent you. Also, when you're checking in,
- 18:59Speaker 2: you're checking in at the hotel. And they check in
- 19:02Speaker 2: and everything. And then now they're going to tell you
- 19:04Speaker 2: what room number. They don't tell you out loud. They
- 19:07Speaker 2: write it on this card and they hand you the card.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Why don't they say it out loud? That's policy because
- 19:13Speaker 2: somebody standing close by might overhear what room you're in.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Just for security reasons, they never, ever say it out loud. Now,
- 19:22Speaker 2: President Trump, this is a brilliant idea. You know, you
- 19:25Speaker 2: got this fraud all over the place, this Medicaid daycare fraud.
- 19:30Speaker 2: You saw it in Minnesota where it was like 100
- 19:32Speaker 2: million in fraud. The government will pay you if you're
- 19:36Speaker 2: doing Medicaid or daycare. And many of these centers are
- 19:41Speaker 2: just Somalian fraud in Minnesota. Here in Queens, it's all
- 19:45Speaker 2: kinds of people doing it. It's just fraud. And they've unconfirmed. Now,
- 19:50Speaker 2: Nick Shirley is this kid. He's just a kid with
- 19:54Speaker 2: a camera. And he became a reporter, this kid with
- 19:58Speaker 2: a camera. And he's uncovered hundreds and hundreds of millions
- 20:02Speaker 2: of dollars in fraud. And 60 Minutes, with an army
- 20:06Speaker 2: of cameras and journalists, won't even go near this. The
- 20:09Speaker 2: real journalists don't go near it. The fake news avoids it.
- 20:13Speaker 2: But this kid with his camera has been amazing. So
- 20:16Speaker 2: President Trump invited him to the White House, and President
- 20:20Speaker 2: Trump announced, because maybe other people want to do what
- 20:22Speaker 2: he's doing, it's easy to find the fraud if it's
- 20:25Speaker 2: a daycare center getting $ 10 million in reimbursement, and you
- 20:28Speaker 2: show up, and it's an empty storefront with nobody in it,
- 20:31Speaker 2: and it never had anybody in it. How could it
- 20:33Speaker 2: be a daycare center? There's no kids. There's no anything. Sometimes...
- 20:38Speaker 2: They show up at the address that's listed for the
- 20:41Speaker 2: thing that's getting all the reimbursement. And it turns out
- 20:44Speaker 2: it's an empty apartment. It's not even a business. So
- 20:47Speaker 2: President Trump has announced he'll pay a commission for anybody
- 20:52Speaker 2: uncovering this stuff. If you uncover one of these frauds,
- 20:54Speaker 2: you'll get a 1% commission. So let's say Nick Shirley,
- 20:58Speaker 2: he's probably uncovered $ 200 million in this fraud, minimum, maybe more,
- 21:04Speaker 2: $ 200 million. So the commission on that would be $ 2
- 21:07Speaker 2: million for him. So even if you find most of
- 21:11Speaker 2: these fraud things, it turns out they're getting $ 10 million
- 21:14Speaker 2: in government reimbursement. The commission on that would be $ 10 million.
- 21:20Speaker 2: It would be $ 100, 000. That's a big reward. So there's
- 21:23Speaker 2: now going to be a 1% commission if you can
- 21:27Speaker 2: uncover any of these fraud things. And again, it's easy
- 21:30Speaker 2: to do. There's records where you can find out who's
- 21:32Speaker 2: getting this government reimbursement. You show up, and if there's
- 21:36Speaker 2: nothing there, nobody there, It's clearly fraud. It's not really
- 21:40Speaker 2: a daycare center. It's not really Medicaid center. And it
- 21:44Speaker 2: happens in Minnesota. It's all over the place. They believe
- 21:48Speaker 2: that Waltz and a lot of politicians, Omar, maybe they
- 21:53Speaker 2: weren't directly involved, but they were directly involved in looking
- 21:56Speaker 2: the other way and letting it happen. Omar is in
- 22:00Speaker 2: real trouble, Elon Omar. They've got her on a lot
- 22:03Speaker 2: of things. It looks like she lied, out and out lied,
- 22:07Speaker 2: on her birth certificate and other things, changing her age
- 22:10Speaker 2: to defraud her way into the U.S. This is the allegation,
- 22:14Speaker 2: but I hear there's a lot of evidence and they
- 22:16Speaker 2: will get her. And it also looks like she did
- 22:20Speaker 2: marry her brother. That's the other word coming out, that
- 22:22Speaker 2: they've got her DNA and they will be able to
- 22:26Speaker 2: prove that. So it's going to go badly for Omar.
- 22:29Speaker 2: She's going to have a lot of trouble, President Trump.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Could she be deported?
- 22:33Speaker 1: Oh, she could be.
- 22:34Speaker 7: She could also go to jail.
- 22:36Speaker 2: I mean, she could also go to jail. You know,
- 22:38Speaker 2: they keep talking about deportation. Now, she could go to jail.
- 22:42Speaker 6: This is just my opinion. I think she's a sick,
- 22:45Speaker 6: very dishonest person, but who hates our country.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Yeah, now, you could try, well, this is a Trump
- 22:54Speaker 2: law theory. He's going after Zipo. Well, this Omar investigation
- 22:57Speaker 2: was actually started by the Biden administration. The evidence came
- 23:01Speaker 2: to the Biden administration of all this. They began the investigation.
- 23:05Speaker 2: It's the Biden administration, so they moved very slow on that. But,
- 23:09Speaker 2: you know, they were so busy trying to get Trump.
- 23:11Speaker 2: But this is a Biden investigation into Omar. But it
- 23:15Speaker 2: looks like they got her. So it should be pretty
- 23:18Speaker 2: bad for her. Do you know what the latest Instagram
- 23:20Speaker 2: TikTok idiotic craze is? Remember the one, what was the
- 23:23Speaker 2: one with cinnamon? Where you pour cinnamon down your throat? Okay,
- 23:27Speaker 2: this is hard to believe. The latest one is the
- 23:31Speaker 2: fire challenge. It's going viral. The fire challenge is you
- 23:36Speaker 2: set yourself on fire and see how fast you can
- 23:39Speaker 2: put it out. Obviously, you've got to be a complete
- 23:42Speaker 2: moron to do this, but they're just kids. They're dumb kids.
- 23:47Speaker 2: New Orleans is having a big problem. Here's one boy
- 23:49Speaker 2: nine years old who did it. You pour something, gasoline
- 23:53Speaker 2: or some kind of alcohol, all over yourself and then
- 23:56Speaker 2: set yourself ablaze. This nine-year-old, serious damage. Seventy percent of
- 24:02Speaker 2: his body was burned. But this fire challenge, the dumbest,
- 24:06Speaker 2: most dangerous of all of this, all these dumb TikTok crazes.
- 24:10Speaker 2: But it's going on. Parents, schools, law enforcement trying to
- 24:15Speaker 2: stop this. Hey, we got a lot to get to.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Lots coming up. And we'll take some calls, too. It's
- 24:21Speaker 2: Mark Simone here. Nine to noon every day. Three hours
- 24:24Speaker 2: every day. Nine to noon on 710WOR. Welcome back to
- 24:29Speaker 2: the Mark Simone Show.
- 24:31Speaker 13: Live from the WOR LifeVac Studios.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Well, hey, price of oil dropping. There was this big
- 24:41Speaker 2: spike in oil. It shot up to like $ 107 a barrel.
- 24:45Speaker 2: It's $ 97 a barrel now. Dropped $ 10 a barrel in
- 24:50Speaker 2: just two days. Actually, at the gas pumps, it's down.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Average national gas price now $ 4. 26, down a little. France,
- 25:00Speaker 2: you'll notice the rioting has subsided, greatly, greatly subsided. don't
- 25:06Speaker 2: take that as a sign that Macron has done anything.
- 25:09Speaker 2: I know there's curfews and all that. It's not so
- 25:11Speaker 2: much that. The rioting is a weekend activity. It's more
- 25:14Speaker 2: on the weekends. So this coming weekend, they're all scheduled
- 25:18Speaker 2: to come back. Although Macron's saying that he will not
- 25:22Speaker 2: allow that stuff to happen again this weekend, that he
- 25:25Speaker 2: will be ready for it. Now, this is Macron. Who knows? Macron,
- 25:32Speaker 2: not the toughest leader in the world. If this were another, well, Italy,
- 25:36Speaker 2: they started to get this in Italy. They brought out
- 25:37Speaker 2: the military and quashed it right away. Macron has not
- 25:41Speaker 2: brought in the military. And if he did, it's the
- 25:43Speaker 2: French military. It's like one notch above a Boy Scout troop.
- 25:47Speaker 2: So I don't know what they're going to do. But
- 25:49Speaker 2: he claims they will be prevented from doing it this weekend.
- 25:53Speaker 2: We'll see. Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to
- 25:56Speaker 2: Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing?
- 25:59Speaker 9: Good morning, Mark.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Yes, Mike.
- 26:02Speaker 9: That soundbite you played of Mandani endorsing El-Sayed is the
- 26:07Speaker 9: perfect example or a great example of the difference between
- 26:10Speaker 9: the two parties. There was no hesitance. There was no buts.
- 26:16Speaker 9: There was no equivocation in his endorsement. <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>
- 26:45Speaker 9: fighting amongst themselves, and they're going to just do what
- 26:47Speaker 9: they're told to do. Republicans don't understand that.
- 26:50Speaker 2: No, they understand. Listen, you're right. It's a different, Republicans
- 26:53Speaker 2: are different. I mean, both parties stink. They're both awful.
- 26:55Speaker 2: But Republicans, for the most part, they're country club types. They,
- 27:00Speaker 2: you know, do a little politics. But with the Democrats,
- 27:05Speaker 2: and you know a lot of Democrats, it's full-time, 24-7 warfare.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I mean, they're always, they're on the front lines fighting away. Republicans,
- 27:12Speaker 2: they fight, they don't fight, they stop, they don't.
- 27:16Speaker 9: And every win, big or small, counts. And, you know,
- 27:20Speaker 9: the Republicans think, oh, we'll debate and discuss and I'll
- 27:24Speaker 9: dazzle them with my incredible argument, but they don't win.
- 27:27Speaker 9: And it's like, that's the problem. You know, Democrats will
- 27:30Speaker 9: take any win. You know, getting rid of Katie Zachariah
- 27:33Speaker 9: was a win. As minute as it is, is a win.
- 27:37Speaker 7: Yeah, that's true.
- 27:38Speaker 9: It's something they can gloat about and brag about and take,
- 27:40Speaker 9: you know.
- 27:41Speaker 2: As I say, it's warfare for them. They're fighting 24-7, bombing,
- 27:45Speaker 2: you know, attacking 24-7. Yeah, that's a good point, Mike.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Thanks for calling. Hey, by the way, with that Katie Zachariah,
- 27:53Speaker 2: there's now the New York Times and some others saying
- 27:57Speaker 2: Trump's war on women. He's been firing a lot of women.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Look at the women he's fired, and they go through
- 28:01Speaker 2: all these women that he's fired. Well, they forget to
- 28:04Speaker 2: mention they were the ones calling for each of these
- 28:06Speaker 2: women to be fired. They were the ones demanding Zachariah
- 28:09Speaker 2: be fired. They're the ones going after Pam Bondi and
- 28:12Speaker 2: Kristi Noem and all these women. Kimberly Guilfoyle was the
- 28:15Speaker 2: press chasing them out, demanding they be fired. And then
- 28:20Speaker 2: as soon as they're fired, why is he firing all
- 28:22Speaker 2: these women? It's the double standard Democrats are famous for.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Let's go to Mike in Brooklyn. Mike, how you doing?
- 28:29Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark.
- 28:30Speaker 14: Mark, I'm just calling.
- 28:31Speaker 7: How's Joe Bartlett doing? We haven't heard from him in
- 28:33Speaker 7: a while.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Oh, Joe Bartlett's fine. I think he's on the morning
- 28:36Speaker 2: show now and then. We've got to call him. We
- 28:38Speaker 2: haven't called him in a while. He's in Hilton Head.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Where is that? South Carolina. That's South Carolina, right? Yeah,
- 28:44Speaker 2: he's down there. He plays golf every day. Joe Bartlett
- 28:47Speaker 2: doing great. Well, thanks for asking, Mike. Let's go to
- 28:52Speaker 2: David in Queens. David, how are you doing?
- 28:55Speaker 7: Hey, Mark. Good morning.
- 28:56Speaker 9: Mark, Liz Hochul has her minions in the state assembly
- 28:59Speaker 9: touting the Home Energy Assistance Program. The people out there
- 29:04Speaker 9: should realize that the pennies they would give back to
- 29:06Speaker 9: you on this program is money that they stole from you. Mark,
- 29:11Speaker 9: it's time for the Mr. Ed impersonator to be shown
- 29:14Speaker 9: the door.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Thank you. Who's that? Oh, now we got a guest?
- 29:19Speaker 2: Who's the Mr. Ed impersonator? Oh, is he talking about Hochul?
- 29:24Speaker 7: Maybe. I don't know.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Yeah, that's state legislature. I'm looking for the story here.
- 29:30Speaker 2: You know, there's... They've identified a bunch of state legislators
- 29:35Speaker 2: who have not shown up in a year. They haven't been.
- 29:39Speaker 2: to now apparently you can vote without showing up in
- 29:43Speaker 2: person you do not have to physically show up to
- 29:45Speaker 2: vote so they voted but they have not shown up
- 29:48Speaker 2: in a year and it's pretty bad you know um
- 29:53Speaker 2: it's not a full-time job if you're in the state
- 29:56Speaker 2: uh legislature in albany if you're in the state uh
- 30:00Speaker 2: Senate or the Assembly, it's not a full-time job. They
- 30:03Speaker 2: all do something else for a living. But you're supposed
- 30:06Speaker 2: to show up once in a while. So some of
- 30:08Speaker 2: them have not shown up in a year ever. You
- 30:12Speaker 2: know that comedian Carrot Top? Carrot Top, you know, that
- 30:16Speaker 2: I always thought awful comedian. He's the guy. He was
- 30:19Speaker 2: in the news a couple weeks ago. He tried to
- 30:21Speaker 2: kill himself. And terrible. But he's back. He's recovered. And,
- 30:28Speaker 2: you know, he has a, what they call a residency
- 30:30Speaker 2: in Las Vegas, a regular, uh, you know, he's got
- 30:32Speaker 2: his own showroom. He appears all the time. And, uh,
- 30:37Speaker 2: he came back, did his first show and, uh, you know, he's,
- 30:41Speaker 2: he's a lot of props. He does props. He's one
- 30:43Speaker 2: of those stupid prop comedians, but he came out and
- 30:45Speaker 2: he said, uh, just to be serious for a moment,
- 30:48Speaker 2: you all know what happened. And, uh, I'm not a,
- 30:51Speaker 2: you know, usually talking up here, but, uh, I have
- 30:54Speaker 2: to say something. And I was wondering, how do I
- 30:56Speaker 2: explain this? What do I do? How do I come back?
- 30:58Speaker 2: And he said, I'm a prop comedian. So I came
- 31:01Speaker 2: up with the right prop. And then he reaches in
- 31:03Speaker 2: the box and pulls out a noose. It got a
- 31:06Speaker 2: huge laugh. It was very funny there. Now, you may
- 31:09Speaker 2: be saying to yourself, how does a guy like that
- 31:11Speaker 2: have his own residency in Las Vegas? It's not a big,
- 31:14Speaker 2: big room with 2,000 seats. But he's got his own
- 31:17Speaker 2: showroom with a couple hundred seats. He rents it. It's
- 31:21Speaker 2: what they call a rental. You may not realize this.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Most of the shows in Las Vegas are what they
- 31:26Speaker 2: call rentals. In other words, the performer rents the room
- 31:30Speaker 2: from the hotel, sells his own tickets. The hotel doesn't
- 31:33Speaker 2: have anything to do with it except they just charge rent.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Most of these shows, even some of the big ones
- 31:39Speaker 2: in the hotels, they're renting the room. In show business,
- 31:43Speaker 2: they call it four walling the room, which means you're
- 31:46Speaker 2: not getting paid. You got to sell your own tickets.
- 31:50Speaker 2: But that's the new, Las Vegas is in real trouble.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Business is way down in Las Vegas. It's in real trouble.
- 31:57Speaker 2: It's really bad right now. So that's one way they're
- 32:00Speaker 2: making money. They're just renting the room. A lot of
- 32:02Speaker 2: these guys, even, you know, Rich Little is still performing there.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Rich Little, it's a rental. He rents a room, does
- 32:09Speaker 2: his own show, promotes it himself, sells his own tickets.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Even Wayne Newton the last couple of years, that was
- 32:14Speaker 2: a rental. He would rent the room. promoted himself, sell
- 32:18Speaker 2: his own tickets. So that's the state of Las Vegas
- 32:22Speaker 2: right now. You know, you go back a few years ago,
- 32:25Speaker 2: they used to pay performers, overpay them like crazy. You know,
- 32:29Speaker 2: they'd pay somebody $ 400, 000 a week. And they'd take a
- 32:33Speaker 2: loss on the show, but they'd make it back in
- 32:35Speaker 2: the casino. Well, those days are gone. Las Vegas is
- 32:38Speaker 2: in real financial trouble. So they're renting out the rooms
- 32:41Speaker 2: to performers. Business is way down. And they don't have
- 32:45Speaker 2: any more of the stuff. You know, they always had
- 32:46Speaker 2: the free buffets. All of that stuff is gone now.
- 32:49Speaker 2: In fact, as business went down, they made a huge mistake.
- 32:52Speaker 2: They kept raising the prices, causing business to drop even more.
- 32:56Speaker 2: You know, now it's like 25 bucks for a cup
- 32:59Speaker 2: of coffee in Las Vegas. A lot of people avoiding
- 33:02Speaker 2: the place now. Hey, we got a lot to get to.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Don't forget, I'm here three hours every day, nine to noon,
- 33:07Speaker 2: three hours every day. Then at noon, you got Buck Sexton,
- 33:10Speaker 2: Clay Travis with a great show. And then the most

- 33:35Speaker 2: Well hey it's gonna be a really uh well a
- 33:38Speaker 2: nice day today it's not gonna be warm it'll be
- 33:40Speaker 2: in the upper 50 well it'll get to 60 degrees
- 33:43Speaker 2: maybe today windy 60 degrees but bright sunshine for like
- 33:47Speaker 2: the next five days thursday tomorrow mid 60s and then
- 33:51Speaker 2: back into the upper 50s but bright sunshine no rain
- 33:55Speaker 2: at all uh for the next five days bright sunshine
- 34:00Speaker 2: for five days now this is uh hurricane or el
- 34:03Speaker 2: nino whatever the hell it is it's offshore it's not
- 34:06Speaker 2: going to hit us you might get a little bit
- 34:08Speaker 2: of rain in the uh eastern tip of long island
- 34:10Speaker 2: like montauk you might get a little rain but most
- 34:13Speaker 2: of no rain but this is what the wind is
- 34:15Speaker 2: from that's why it's so windy today it's the very
- 34:18Speaker 2: outer fringe of that of that storm hey uh three
- 34:22Speaker 2: hours every day now nine to noon three hours every
- 34:24Speaker 2: day nine to noon and don't forget if you can't
- 34:27Speaker 2: listen live to the show if you miss an hour

- 34:35Speaker 2: this show, the podcast version, and it's easy to listen to.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Most of the commercials are taken out, but the podcast,
- 34:42Speaker 2: this show, on any podcast site, any place you get podcasts.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Back right after the news, Mark Simone here on 710WOR.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Mr.
- 34:53Speaker 13: New York, Mark Simone.
- 34:56Speaker 9: 710WOR.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Well, it's the middle of the week. It's 13 days
- 35:06Speaker 2: until the election. That's right. 13 days. Election day. Make
- 35:11Speaker 2: sure you get out and vote. Early voting in New
- 35:13Speaker 2: York starts this weekend. So if you can, do it
- 35:15Speaker 2: this weekend. Vote Saturday or Sunday. Get out and vote
- 35:18Speaker 2: for Bruce Blakeman. And the attorney general's race looks pretty good.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Normally it's tough for anybody. running against a Democrat attorney general,
- 35:28Speaker 2: but this is the worst attorney general, the most biased, slanted, lawfare,
- 35:34Speaker 2: making up fake cases against Donald Trump. But the opponent,
- 35:40Speaker 2: with a name nobody can pronounce, Sarita Karatumimedi, you'll see
- 35:45Speaker 2: her name on the ballot. She's the Republican candidate for
- 35:48Speaker 2: attorney general. Make sure you vote for her. Make sure
- 35:51Speaker 2: you vote for her. Get rid of Letitia James. would
- 35:55Speaker 2: be a big help for New York. But again, you
- 35:58Speaker 2: can start voting Saturday in New York. Connecticut, I think
- 36:03Speaker 2: you've already got your early voting going on, but it's
- 36:07Speaker 2: 13 days from today. So there's been a big breakthrough
- 36:11Speaker 2: with Russia. As you know, President Trump, for the last
- 36:13Speaker 2: week or so, has been very nice to Putin. He's
- 36:16Speaker 2: been flattering him. He's been nice. He's been using the carrot,
- 36:20Speaker 2: not the stick, and getting criticism for it, a lot
- 36:23Speaker 2: of criticism, but it's paying off. He got this, Russia
- 36:27Speaker 2: has released this American teacher they've been holding for about
- 36:31Speaker 2: four years. Biden claimed he was trying to get the
- 36:35Speaker 2: guy out, but never did anything to get him out.
- 36:37Speaker 2: It's a terrible situation. This teacher being held in Russia.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Trump got him released. Yesterday he was released with no conditions.
- 36:44Speaker 2: It was not a prisoner swap. He asked Putin to
- 36:47Speaker 2: release this guy and Putin did it. He's been released.
- 36:50Speaker 2: But here's the big breakthrough. It's just breaking now. that
- 36:55Speaker 2: Putin has agreed to sit down with Zelensky and the U.S.
- 36:59Speaker 2: for trilateral talks. This has never happened before with the
- 37:03Speaker 2: Russia-Ukraine war. But Putin has now agreed he will sit
- 37:07Speaker 2: down with the Russians, the Ukrainians, the Americans. We'll all meet,
- 37:16Speaker 2: trilateral talks. They'll get this done somehow. I don't know
- 37:20Speaker 2: if they'll end the war. But they'll get the talks done.
- 37:23Speaker 2: They'll get in a room and all start talking. That's
- 37:25Speaker 2: a big, big breakthrough. And again, Trump very good at
- 37:30Speaker 2: using the carrot, then the stick, then the carrot, then
- 37:33Speaker 2: the stick. So the problem is Zelensky is not the
- 37:36Speaker 2: greatest in a room when it comes to negotiating. As
- 37:39Speaker 2: you've seen, just sitting with President Trump, he managed to
- 37:42Speaker 2: get himself into 10 different fights in that first meeting.
- 37:46Speaker 2: But Putin, a much, although totally evil and disgusting president,
- 37:51Speaker 2: a much cagier, slier guy than Zelensky. Although Zelensky's done
- 37:58Speaker 2: a great job coming up with weapons, and as a general,
- 38:02Speaker 2: he's been great in this war. But there will be
- 38:05Speaker 2: trilateral talks. That's good news. The other breaking news this morning,
- 38:09Speaker 2: Brad Lander, the extremely annoying Brad Lander, is being held
- 38:16Speaker 2: by Israel. He was in Israel yesterday. Now, that doesn't
- 38:20Speaker 2: make any sense to begin with because there's nobody that
- 38:23Speaker 2: hates Israel more than Brad Lander. There's nobody that's denounced
- 38:26Speaker 2: Israel more than Brad Lander. He's attacked them, accusing them
- 38:32Speaker 2: of genocide. He's totally opposed to Israel. He's the most
- 38:36Speaker 2: anti-Israel guy in the world. What the hell is he
- 38:38Speaker 2: doing in Israel? Well, he was there to help the
- 38:41Speaker 2: Palestinians or the Gazans or supposedly helping them plant olives.
- 38:47Speaker 2: Who knows what he's doing there? He's there for Photo opportunity.
- 38:51Speaker 2: He's there to publicize himself. But for some reason, he's
- 38:55Speaker 2: been detained. We'll find out exactly why. Now, the fact
- 38:58Speaker 2: that Israel is detaining Brad Lander, don't worry. After they're
- 39:02Speaker 2: alone with this guy for about two hours, they'll release him.
- 39:05Speaker 2: They'll put him on a plane and get him the
- 39:07Speaker 2: hell out of there. Nobody wants this guy around. Very slimy,
- 39:11Speaker 2: annoying politician, Brad Lander. The other thing, Katie Zakaria has... re-emerged.
- 39:20Speaker 2: You know, she left the White House last week. She's
- 39:23Speaker 2: back in California, and she finally reemerged. You'll see the
- 39:29Speaker 2: pictures all over the place. She's reemerged with a little
- 39:32Speaker 2: tiny halter top on and these tight little sweatpants. And
- 39:40Speaker 2: looks like one of those Instagram influencers trying to get attention.
- 39:43Speaker 2: So the pictures of her trying to look hot outside
- 39:46Speaker 2: in this little tight outfit. That's how she wanted to reemerge.
- 39:50Speaker 2: I don't know if that's the right thing. You know,
- 39:51Speaker 2: you saw her as the press secretary with those very
- 39:54Speaker 2: formal business suits, those banker type of business suits. Now
- 39:59Speaker 2: she's running around in the trashy little gym clothes trying
- 40:02Speaker 2: to get attention. So I don't know. I mean, what
- 40:05Speaker 2: could she do? How do you reemerge? You suddenly show
- 40:09Speaker 2: up working at a soup kitchen trying to help people.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Is that the way to reemerge? That's always pretty phony.
- 40:15Speaker 2: You know, these people that every Thanksgiving I know a
- 40:18Speaker 2: lot of people do this. Thanksgiving, they go to the
- 40:20Speaker 2: soup kitchen to help feed the poor. And they put
- 40:24Speaker 2: up pictures of themselves working at the soup kitchen on Thanksgiving.
- 40:28Speaker 2: It sounds good, but it's not helping anybody, you know,
- 40:32Speaker 2: because for the next 364 days of the year, they're
- 40:35Speaker 2: not at the soup kitchen. You know, if you said,
- 40:37Speaker 2: I'm going to go do this every weekend, that might help.
- 40:40Speaker 2: But a couple hours once a year, you're not helping anybody.
- 40:43Speaker 2: But Katie Zakaria, I don't know what she's going to do. Uh,
- 40:47Speaker 2: she was an occasional guest on Fox. I guess maybe
- 40:51Speaker 2: she could do that. She could try to get on
- 40:54Speaker 2: somewhere else, Newsmax or someplace else. She could try to
- 40:56Speaker 2: get her own. She's not a host. She can't do
- 40:59Speaker 2: her own show, but maybe be a regular there. Who knows? Uh,
- 41:03Speaker 2: Elon Omar has put out a video begging for cash,
- 41:08Speaker 2: begging for money. Uh, she's in real trouble, real serious
- 41:13Speaker 2: legal trouble, real legal trouble. So she's going to have
- 41:16Speaker 2: a big problem and they're really going to go after
- 41:20Speaker 2: her and the charges look pretty serious. So she's going
- 41:23Speaker 2: to need a lot of money to fight this legal battle.
- 41:25Speaker 2: She could very easily get deported. They could easily prove
- 41:30Speaker 2: it looks like according to sources on the evidence that
- 41:33Speaker 2: she's not a citizen that would remove her from Congress.
- 41:37Speaker 2: All good. All good. Um, Now, you know this woman
- 41:40Speaker 2: in Michigan, Alyssa Slotkin, who's in, Democrats love it, but
- 41:47Speaker 2: with everybody else, she's in hot water because she came
- 41:49Speaker 2: out with this crazy talk about they should start investigating, indicting,
- 41:55Speaker 2: going after anybody who supports Trump. I mean, this is insane.
- 42:00Speaker 2: This is like beyond McCarthyism. In other words, anybody, they're
- 42:06Speaker 2: trying to discourage young people, especially college students who get
- 42:08Speaker 2: out of college, From becoming Republicans or becoming Trump supporters.
- 42:13Speaker 2: So she's threatening to arrest them all, indict them all.
- 42:17Speaker 2: I mean, this is the worst Soviet Stalinist craziest crap,
- 42:23Speaker 2: but she's pushing this. And she's pretty much sticking to
- 42:27Speaker 2: her guns.
- 42:28Speaker 15: I want to look at these signature cases and not
- 42:31Speaker 15: just focus on the president, but on the people who
- 42:34Speaker 15: enabled him. I want young people coming out of school
- 42:37Speaker 15: to say, should I go work for the Trump administration? Like,
- 42:39Speaker 15: that sounds fun. I might get an opportunity. I want
- 42:42Speaker 15: them to be like, Lord, that might be buying myself
- 42:45Speaker 15: a ton of problems that I don't want.
- 42:48Speaker 2: Yeah, she basically wants to threaten any young person that
- 42:50Speaker 2: if you go to help Trump or become a Trump supporter,
- 42:54Speaker 2: you could be arrested, you could be indicted. It's insane.
- 42:57Speaker 2: It's un-American. It's evil, President Trump.
- 43:01Speaker 6: Slotkin said that there should be prosecutions in order to
- 43:06Speaker 6: scare people from going into politics.
- 43:10Speaker 2: That's a Democrat, and that's.
- 43:11Speaker 16: What they do.
- 43:12Speaker 7: That's all they're good at. And you know what?
- 43:14Speaker 6: That's why they're getting their asses kicked.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Well. But she keeps sticking to her guns on that.
- 43:20Speaker 2: And of course, the fake news backs her up completely.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Kimberly Guilfoyle. She is headed back to Florida. She'll be
- 43:29Speaker 2: living in Palm Beach. Kimberly Guilfoyle has finally listed herself
- 43:35Speaker 2: now as a speaker. They got these speakers bureaus, you know,
- 43:38Speaker 2: where if you want a big speaker, a famous speaker
- 43:41Speaker 2: or expert speaker, interesting speaker, you go to a speakers
- 43:44Speaker 2: bureau and you go to their websites and they tell you,
- 43:48Speaker 2: Got each person, some of them very famous, some of
- 43:51Speaker 2: them not so famous, and has how much their fee is.
- 43:55Speaker 2: So she's listed herself as $ 100, 000 per appearance. But then
- 44:01Speaker 2: if you look down at the fine print there, it
- 44:04Speaker 2: says ranging from $ 50, 000 to $ 100, 000, available for corporate appearances,
- 44:08Speaker 2: speaking engagements, virtual events, fireside chats, meet and greets, etc.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Then they have to tell you where the speaker's coming
- 44:18Speaker 2: from because you'll have to pay the travel expenses. So
- 44:20Speaker 2: down there in the fine print says she'll be coming
- 44:22Speaker 2: from West Palm Beach Airport. So far, we don't know
- 44:26Speaker 2: of any bookings yet for her, but I could see that.
- 44:32Speaker 2: I don't know. You have to kind of say what
- 44:35Speaker 2: you're going to say in the speech. I mean, I
- 44:38Speaker 2: do a lot of speeches. You can book me, but
- 44:40Speaker 2: it'll say these are his topics. So she hasn't listed
- 44:44Speaker 2: any of that. And so far we know of nobody
- 44:48Speaker 2: actually booking her. But they're going after her for this,
- 44:52Speaker 2: but they all do this. Mike Pompeo, anybody that was
- 44:55Speaker 2: in the cabinet, anybody that was well-known in politics, all
- 45:01Speaker 2: these people, everybody you see on Fox, people you see
- 45:05Speaker 2: on MS now, they're all listed with these speakers' bureaus.
- 45:08Speaker 2: You can book all of them for an event. But
- 45:11Speaker 2: the fake news going after this saying it's the Trump orbit,
- 45:14Speaker 2: why they're cashing in. They all do this. Everybody that
- 45:17Speaker 2: worked for Biden, all the former press secretaries, cabinet, they're
- 45:21Speaker 2: all available as speakers. Everybody does it. Not unusual. Hey,
- 45:27Speaker 2: they're cleaning up the Social Security rolls. You know, there's
- 45:29Speaker 2: a lot of fraud everywhere, not just voter fraud, Social
- 45:32Speaker 2: Security fraud. So now that the Trump administration is running it,
- 45:36Speaker 2: they decided to clean up the rolls and they've officially
- 45:38Speaker 2: started this will help clean up a lot of stuff.
- 45:44Speaker 2: You know, there's 17 million in the Social Security base
- 45:48Speaker 2: that they believe are actually dead, listed as alive. So
- 45:51Speaker 2: they're clearing up the death dates. There are 25 million
- 45:55Speaker 2: records that had missing citizenship information. So they're cleaning all
- 45:59Speaker 2: this up. And they're currently in the process of correcting
- 46:02Speaker 2: an additional 9 million records with inaccurate status on them.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Nobody's ever bothered to do this before, correct all this stuff,
- 46:10Speaker 2: but it's a great step, and they'll actually do it. Hey,
- 46:14Speaker 2: speaking of Katie Zakaria, by the way, remember she had
- 46:17Speaker 2: all this flack because she said she was a lawyer.
- 46:19Speaker 2: It turned out she never passed the bar. Her excuse was,
- 46:24Speaker 2: as long as you have a law degree and you're
- 46:26Speaker 2: working in a law firm, you can say you're a lawyer.
- 46:30Speaker 2: If you haven't passed the bar, you can't say you're
- 46:32Speaker 2: an attorney, and everybody laughed at that. Well, it turns
- 46:37Speaker 2: out if you go to the American Bar Association, the
- 46:40Speaker 2: rules are different state by state. But the American Bar
- 46:45Speaker 2: Association last year put out an article and the American
- 46:49Speaker 2: Bar Association said an attorney is someone who passed the
- 46:53Speaker 2: bar and has been admitted to practice law in a jurisdiction.
- 46:57Speaker 2: A lawyer is someone who received the same legal training
- 47:01Speaker 2: but has not been admitted to practice law. So according
- 47:06Speaker 2: to the American Bar Association, Katie Zakaria is actually correct.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Look at this. Kathy Hochul getting desperate, very desperate, because
- 47:16Speaker 2: Blakeman caught up to her. They're now pretty much even.
- 47:19Speaker 2: They're within the margin of error in the real polls.
- 47:23Speaker 2: She's now pushing to announce a chip-making plant in Utica.
- 47:27Speaker 2: She's going to try to get a chip-making plant. There's
- 47:30Speaker 2: a company called Solid Gym. It's the U.S. arm of
- 47:33Speaker 2: a South Korean chip giant. if you don't want AI,
- 47:38Speaker 2: why would you want a chip-making plant? I don't know,
- 47:40Speaker 2: but she's desperate, and she'll do anything that sounds good,
- 47:44Speaker 2: looks good. So she's trying to get this big chip-making
- 47:47Speaker 2: plant to Ithaca. She's looking for votes up there. Albany
- 47:54Speaker 2: insiders insist, well, actually, they point out, no deal's been finalized.
- 47:59Speaker 2: So she could make a deal, according to Albany insiders.
- 48:02Speaker 2: She could make this deal and announce it, And it
- 48:05Speaker 2: sounds great. Everybody's thrilled up there that this has come.
- 48:08Speaker 2: But then she can hand it off to the feds
- 48:13Speaker 2: and then all the red tape will come in and
- 48:15Speaker 2: it'll never get done. They call it the Albany two-step.
- 48:20Speaker 2: So she can prop it up and then hand it
- 48:22Speaker 2: to the feds and making sure it never happens. So
- 48:25Speaker 2: that's the kind of stuff these people do. You got
- 48:27Speaker 2: to be very, very wary of them. President Trump going
- 48:32Speaker 2: to South Carolina today. be campaigning for Darlene Graham. That's
- 48:37Speaker 2: a tough race. Kamala Harris is announced. She's going on
- 48:41Speaker 2: a five-state midterm campaign swing. Does this help anybody? The
- 48:49Speaker 2: word salad, babbling yo-yo, Kamala Harris, drunk all day. Is
- 48:53Speaker 2: this going to help anybody? Well, I'm looking at where
- 48:55Speaker 2: they're sending her. They're not sending her to battleground states.
- 48:59Speaker 2: She'll be in Nevada, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, and Georgia.
- 49:03Speaker 2: She'll be attacking President Trump for rising costs. You've got
- 49:08Speaker 2: to give them a lot of credit, these Democrats. Their
- 49:11Speaker 2: costs were much higher than Trump's. Their gas costs, their inflation,
- 49:15Speaker 2: everything was much higher than Trump. But they campaign against
- 49:19Speaker 2: him based on consequences. give him credit that takes a
- 49:22Speaker 2: lot of nerve a lot of chutzpah to be able
- 49:24Speaker 2: to do that with a straight face hey we'll take
- 49:27Speaker 2: some calls coming up next 800-321-0710 is the number give
- 49:29Speaker 2: me a call 800 321-0710.
- 49:36Speaker 16: Mr.
- 49:37Speaker 2: New York. Mark Simone.
- 49:39Speaker 13: Now three hours every weekday from 9 till noon on 710WOR.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Let's take some calls. Let's go to Lou in Chicago. Lou,
- 49:52Speaker 2: how are you doing?
- 49:53Speaker 14: Hi, Mark. Great show.
- 49:56Speaker 7: Thanks.
- 49:57Speaker 14: Mark, I was just wondering, you know what's happening in
- 50:01Speaker 14: France right now? I kind of think that Mayor Daley,
- 50:05Speaker 14: the old man, had the right idea. That, you know,
- 50:09Speaker 14: he told him, if you were messing around in Grant Park,
- 50:12Speaker 14: shoot to kill. And I don't want to sound like
- 50:16Speaker 14: a goofball, but what do you think of that?
- 50:20Speaker 2: Yeah, well, that was the old Mayor Daley. He was
- 50:22Speaker 2: also the most corrupt guy in the world. Dead people voting.
- 50:25Speaker 2: There's all kinds of shenanigans with that guy. But there's
- 50:29Speaker 2: a nice balance in between... modern day stuff and Mayor
- 50:33Speaker 2: Daley stuff. You're right. They need to send out the
- 50:35Speaker 2: military and they need to put this down. They should
- 50:38Speaker 2: have done it the first night. Good point. Thanks for calling.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Let's go to Andrew in Florida. Andrew, how are you doing?
- 50:47Speaker 17: I'm doing great, Mark. Thanks so much for taking my call.
- 50:50Speaker 17: I remember you from substituting for Rush. You were great.
- 50:53Speaker 7: He was great.
- 50:55Speaker 17: And you're great now. I appreciate everything you do.
- 50:57Speaker 14: Wow.
- 50:58Speaker 9: Well, thanks.
- 50:59Speaker 2: Here comes the buzzer.
- 51:00Speaker 17: Well, I'm calling about something else, but I just wanted
- 51:04Speaker 17: to throw in that Mamdani, if you just reverse the
- 51:08Speaker 17: M and the D in the middle, it's Mad Manny.
- 51:11Speaker 17: Nobody ever says that. I'm the only one that's thought
- 51:14Speaker 17: of it.
- 51:14Speaker 2: It's not that good. That's why no one ever says it.
- 51:17Speaker 17: Okay, well, thank you for that. But hey, you're an
- 51:20Speaker 17: expert on Jack Parr and Johnny Carson and all that,
- 51:24Speaker 17: and I'm really calling you about... My father, his name
- 51:28Speaker 17: was George Jason, and he was on the Jack Parr
- 51:31Speaker 17: show many times. And I'm asking you if you perhaps
- 51:35Speaker 17: remember him. He was a musician, magician, and comedian. And
- 51:44Speaker 17: he was going to be on the Ed Sullivan show,
- 51:45Speaker 17: but he died in 1959.
- 51:47Speaker 9: Oh.
- 51:50Speaker 17: You wouldn't remember him, would you?
- 51:51Speaker 2: No. George Jason. No, but there were a lot of
- 51:53Speaker 2: guys back then who were big on all the talk shows.
- 51:56Speaker 2: that nobody would know today. There's a million comedians. Everybody
- 52:00Speaker 2: saw them in every show. There was Toadie Fields and
- 52:02Speaker 2: Milt Kamen and London Lee and all these guys. In
- 52:06Speaker 2: today's world, nobody would know them. Same thing with singers.
- 52:08Speaker 2: But that was the good old days of The Tonight Show.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Those good old days in New York and the nightclubs. Andrew,
- 52:14Speaker 2: thanks for calling. Let's go to Marge in Manhattan. Marge,
- 52:18Speaker 2: how are you doing?
- 52:20Speaker 18: Hi, I'm here. I just wanted to talk about Medicare
- 52:23Speaker 18: for All.
- 52:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:24Speaker 11: Nobody seems to explain that Medicare is not free for seniors.
- 52:29Speaker 18: We start paying for Medicare the minute we work. It
- 52:34Speaker 18: comes out of our taxes. And that's for Medicare A.
- 52:38Speaker 11: If you haven't.
- 52:39Speaker 18: Paid in enough quarters, you're not eligible for Medicare.
- 52:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:43Speaker 7: Do you have Medicare?
- 52:45Speaker 2: Do you have Medicare?
- 52:47Speaker 18: Yes.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Does it cover everything? Is it good?
- 52:51Speaker 18: It's a very nice program, but it's not free.
- 52:53Speaker 2: No, I understand that. When you have Medicare, do you
- 52:57Speaker 2: pay anything? Do you pay a monthly fee or anything?
- 52:59Speaker 18: Yes.
- 53:00Speaker 2: Oh, you do?
- 53:01Speaker 16: You pay a month.
- 53:02Speaker 18: It depends on the plan. If you go for traditional
- 53:05Speaker 18: Medicare A and B, you have to buy a secondary
- 53:08Speaker 18: that could cost $ 400 a month.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Well, all right. Well, thanks for calling. Yeah,
- 53:13Speaker 2: the problem is it's like Obamacare. It sounded great on paper.
- 53:16Speaker 2: In reality, it was a disaster for a lot of people.
- 53:19Speaker 2: Not the right coverage. A lot of things not covered.
- 53:21Speaker 2: It was costing them way too much. Remember that if
- 53:23Speaker 2: you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Everybody
- 53:25Speaker 2: lost their doctor immediately. The last thing you want is
- 53:29Speaker 2: your health care totally in the hands of government bureaucrats.
- 53:33Speaker 2: No competition allowed. That's the last thing you want. Let's
- 53:36Speaker 2: go to Jamie in Columbia, South Carolina, North Carolina.
- 53:41Speaker 16: Mark, I'm in Columbus, Ohio.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Oh, Columbus, Ohio. All right. I'll talk slower.
- 53:49Speaker 7: I'm sorry.
- 53:50Speaker 16: Oh, I just, great show like usual. I want to
- 53:54Speaker 16: ask you about that Steve Hilton governor race in California.
- 53:58Speaker 16: If he has a chance, are they going to do
- 54:01Speaker 16: the Spencer Pratt thing where they.
- 54:03Speaker 17: Take a month to count the votes?
- 54:06Speaker 7: Yes.
- 54:06Speaker 16: And in the long run, it doesn't work out?
- 54:09Speaker 7: Yes.
- 54:09Speaker 2: That's a very good question. Yes. They're going to do
- 54:12Speaker 2: that to him. And that's the problem. Let's say he
- 54:15Speaker 2: wins by three points. Not enough. The cheating could be seven,
- 54:19Speaker 2: eight points. Yeah, if he wins, they'll just say, we
- 54:25Speaker 2: haven't counted yet. It's going to take a while to count.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Absentee ballots are out there. They'll play those shenanigans. That's
- 54:31Speaker 2: the other thing. Election night is 13 days away. And
- 54:34Speaker 2: you think, wow, that's going to be exciting election night.
- 54:37Speaker 2: A lot of these races, especially California, you may be
- 54:39Speaker 2: waiting two weeks to get the results. And Hilton is
- 54:42Speaker 2: doing well. He should be the governor. But you got
- 54:47Speaker 2: to win by like 15 points to overcome the cheating
- 54:50Speaker 2: in California. Some states, Connecticut, they say you got to
- 54:53Speaker 2: win by five or six points to overcome the cheating.
- 54:56Speaker 2: But California, real bad. Let's go to Oscar in New Jersey. Oscar,
- 55:01Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 55:02Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 55:03Speaker 7: You sound like Joe Biden.
- 55:05Speaker 2: What are you trying to say?
- 55:07Speaker 14: Yeah, who do you think is a bigger liar, a
- 55:10Speaker 14: Somali pirate or you? I don't know.
- 55:14Speaker 2: It's pretty much a tie, I would say. Somali pirate.
- 55:17Speaker 2: When was the last time you saw a Somali pirate?
- 55:19Speaker 2: Let's go to Bill in New Jersey. Bill, how you doing?
- 55:26Speaker 9: Listen, Mark, I got a question.
- 55:27Speaker 14: What happened to the Iran war? How are you?
- 55:30Speaker 2: What happened to what?
- 55:30Speaker 9: Is it over? Did we win?
- 55:32Speaker 2: What happened to what? Wait, you're cutting out. Say it again.
- 55:36Speaker 2: What happened to what?
- 55:37Speaker 9: I'm sorry. The Iranian war.
- 55:41Speaker 2: Oh, the war in Iran? It's on hold right now.
- 55:44Speaker 2: You know, when they say this war has been dragging
- 55:46Speaker 2: on for eight months, the war is like a total
- 55:49Speaker 2: of eight days. I mean, most of the time they
- 55:52Speaker 2: go to war for a day. Then they take a
- 55:54Speaker 2: month off and back to war. This has been the
- 55:57Speaker 2: longest break. How long has this been? Six, eight weeks,
- 55:59Speaker 2: I think. It's pretty much to the midterms. Once the
- 56:02Speaker 2: midterms are over, from what I hear, they're going to
- 56:04Speaker 2: finish Iran off with MOABs. That's the mother of all bombs.
- 56:08Speaker 2: That's the single biggest bomb outside of the nuclear bomb. Apparently,
- 56:13Speaker 2: the Pentagon has been putting together target packages. And apparently,
- 56:20Speaker 2: you heard that phone call. There was a great phone
- 56:21Speaker 2: call between Trump and Bibi Netanyahu. And they both, you
- 56:25Speaker 2: could hear it in the undertone of what they were saying.
- 56:29Speaker 2: By the way, Bibi Netanyahu is up for re-election. And
- 56:32Speaker 2: his election is next week. Next week, the Israeli elections.
- 56:36Speaker 2: The week after, the U.S. elections. And the week after.
- 56:39Speaker 2: They will finish off the Iran war. You could hear
- 56:42Speaker 2: in the conversation that when Trump said, you're the guy
- 56:46Speaker 2: I want by my side. And Netanyahu said, yes, and
- 56:48Speaker 2: we've got a job to finish. They're just waiting for
- 56:51Speaker 2: the election to be over. And then it will resume
- 56:54Speaker 2: on a level never seen before. And that should finish
- 56:58Speaker 2: it off. Hey, coming up next, we hope, we'll be
- 57:01Speaker 2: talking to Steve Moore, the great economist Steve Moore. Talk
- 57:05Speaker 2: about the economy, gas prices, all sorts of stuff. and
- 57:09Speaker 2: how it looks. We'll get to all of that coming
- 57:11Speaker 2: up on 710WOR.
- 57:14Speaker 13: It's the Mark Simone Show, live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 57:21Speaker 2: Well, with us now, the brilliant economist Steve Moore. You
- 57:24Speaker 2: should get his book, The Trump Economic Miracle. If you
- 57:27Speaker 2: haven't read that, it's good to, you'll learn a lot
- 57:29Speaker 2: from that, The Trump Economic Miracle. And he runs the
- 57:32Speaker 2: Committee to Unleash Prosperity Every day they put out the
- 57:35Speaker 2: best daily briefing and analysis. It's free. It'll come right
- 57:38Speaker 2: to your email. You can go sign up at UnleashProsperity.com. UnleashProsperity.com.
- 57:46Speaker 2: Steve Moore, how are you doing?
- 57:48Speaker 9: Hey, Mark.
- 57:49Speaker 19: Doing actually very well, thank you. I think the economy
- 57:52Speaker 19: is doing a lot better than the media is portraying
- 57:54Speaker 19: it to be, that's for sure, and feeling very upbeat
- 57:57Speaker 19: about the direction of things.
- 57:58Speaker 2: Well, wait a minute. I'm looking at the New York Times.
- 58:00Speaker 2: Economy in crisis, in crisis.
- 58:05Speaker 7: Is that true? Did I really say that?
- 58:06Speaker 2: No, but you know what I mean.
- 58:08Speaker 19: No, I mean, that's what a lot of the headlines
- 58:10Speaker 19: have been. But, you know, you look at what these statistics,
- 58:14Speaker 19: you know, and I'm an economist, so I look at,
- 58:16Speaker 19: you know, what's coming out every day. We've got a
- 58:17Speaker 19: record booming stock market. We've got a record amount of
- 58:20Speaker 19: investment capital coming into the United States.
- 58:22Speaker 7: We're like a magnet.
- 58:23Speaker 19: We have the lowest number of people collecting unemployment insurance
- 58:27Speaker 19: in something like 30 years. We have the lowest poverty
- 58:30Speaker 19: rate probably ever in the history of the United States.
- 58:34Speaker 19: You know, we're producing more oil and gas than any
- 58:38Speaker 19: time before in the history of the country, and so
- 58:40Speaker 19: we're now an exporter. And by the way, I did
- 58:44Speaker 19: read in the Wall Street Journal today that the Middle
- 58:47Speaker 19: East and the Strait of Hormuz has record amount of
- 58:50Speaker 19: oil flowing now. So those are all positive signs, and
- 58:54Speaker 19: yet people are in a bad mood.
- 58:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I see that oil has dropped $ 10 a barrel
- 58:57Speaker 2: in just 36 hours, which is good news.
- 58:59Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 59:03Speaker 2: Um, Hey, explain this, uh, the airlines are a mess,
- 59:09Speaker 2: United Airlines, no exception. The CEO of United Airlines is
- 59:14Speaker 2: calling for a national wealth tax. What is he thinking?
- 59:19Speaker 2: How's it going to help him?
- 59:20Speaker 19: What's his name again? I forget what his name is,
- 59:23Speaker 19: but he gave a speech the other day in an
- 59:27Speaker 19: interview where he said we should have a national wealth tax, which,
- 59:31Speaker 19: by the way, every country that's tried that has torpedoed
- 59:36Speaker 19: their economy.
- 59:37Speaker 7: And then he said, how about this one, Mark?
- 59:39Speaker 19: He said that we should have an inheritance tax of
- 59:42Speaker 19: up to 100%.
- 59:44Speaker 7: So here's the thing. I mean, think about this.
- 59:46Speaker 19: If you were to tell rich people you can't pass
- 59:51Speaker 19: on any of your money to your kids– everybody would
- 59:56Speaker 19: just spend.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Spend, spend.
- 59:57Speaker 7: It would be like, you know, you would spend every
- 59:59Speaker 7: penny you have before the government get a hold of it.
- 1:00:02Speaker 14: It's the dumbest thing.
- 1:00:02Speaker 19: I've ever heard at a hundred. Hasn't this guy ever
- 1:00:05Speaker 19: heard of the laugher curve? If you tax something, you
- 1:00:07Speaker 19: get less of it. And if you tax it too high,
- 1:00:09Speaker 19: you lose revenue. It wouldn't collect a single dime of
- 1:00:12Speaker 19: inheritance tax because nobody would have an inheritance.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: Yeah. Has this guy ever heard of go woke, go
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: broke guy, go, go, go talk to Jaguar, go talk
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: to Budweiser. Uh, What is he thinking?
- 1:00:24Speaker 19: Well, think about it this way. Why do people build
- 1:00:28Speaker 19: up a business over their lifetime? People want to leave
- 1:00:32Speaker 19: a legacy for their children.
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: That's the American way.
- 1:00:36Speaker 19: My dad continued to work until he was 75 years
- 1:00:38Speaker 19: old and worked and worked and put his blood and
- 1:00:41Speaker 19: sweat and tears into that business for 40, 50 years.
- 1:00:46Speaker 19: The government said, oh, by the way, you can't pass
- 1:00:47Speaker 19: any of that on to your kids. Now, it turns
- 1:00:49Speaker 19: out none of us actually took over that business, but
- 1:00:52Speaker 19: you know, this is the American way. You know, you
- 1:00:55Speaker 19: build up a farm, you build up a ranch, you
- 1:00:56Speaker 19: build up a business, and then you.
- 1:00:58Speaker 7: Get to pass that on to your kids.
- 1:01:00Speaker 19: And that's outrageous to think of. By the way, in
- 1:01:04Speaker 19: the Communist Manifesto, the first, one of the, you know,
- 1:01:09Speaker 19: first commandments of the Communist Manifesto is to eliminate inheritance.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Now, what else?
- 1:01:17Speaker 7: By the way, I'm not flying United.
- 1:01:19Speaker 19: You know, if I have a choice You know, like
- 1:01:22Speaker 19: if I have to go to fly to Chicago, I
- 1:01:24Speaker 19: can fly to Chicago on American or United. I'm so
- 1:01:26Speaker 19: pissed off at this guy. I'm going on American.
- 1:01:28Speaker 7: He's not getting my business anymore.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: Everybody avoid United for a while until the CEO goes. Hey,
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: President Trump, there's a lot of stuff that never gets reported,
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: but you report it in your daily hotline. Like as
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: a result of the border being closed, drug deaths are
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: way down. That's not been reported.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: It's an amazing statistic.
- 1:01:47Speaker 19: I mean, I was shocked when I saw them. Fentanyl
- 1:01:49Speaker 19: deaths are down. Remember, we had a fentanyl crisis three.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: Four years ago.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Remember that?
- 1:01:53Speaker 9: Yeah, of course.
- 1:01:55Speaker 19: Now, fentanyl has almost fallen, you know, it's fallen like 80%.
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: Wow.
- 1:02:00Speaker 19: And deaths from cocaine, deaths from other major, you know, drug,
- 1:02:06Speaker 19: dangerous drugs have fallen very substantially. But the big one
- 1:02:09Speaker 19: is fentanyl. And fentanyl was coming in through the border, remember?
- 1:02:13Speaker 19: And we've, as a result of, you know, sealing up
- 1:02:16Speaker 19: the border, we have cut those fentanyl. I mean, I
- 1:02:18Speaker 19: think there were like 60,000 deaths a year. from fentanyl
- 1:02:21Speaker 19: under Biden. Now it's down to like 10,000, which is
- 1:02:24Speaker 19: still too many, but that's a big decline.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: Yeah, down 80%. Now, had it gone up 3%, the
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: media would be covering that story day and night.
- 1:02:32Speaker 19: Of course it would.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: It would.
- 1:02:34Speaker 19: And so this is a real victory for Trump. I mean,
- 1:02:36Speaker 19: he is saving lives by keeping all these dangerous poisons
- 1:02:41Speaker 19: out of our country.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Hey, one thing I don't like about the Trump administration,
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: this thing about we'll buy some businesses, we'll invest in companies.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: There's no good that would come of that, is there?
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: No.
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: I mean, there's two problems with that.
- 1:02:56Speaker 19: You know, when I first came to Washington in the mid-' 80s,
- 1:03:00Speaker 19: I actually worked for one year in the Reagan administration,
- 1:03:02Speaker 19: believe it or not. And I was working on privatization,
- 1:03:07Speaker 19: where we were actually looking at how the federal government
- 1:03:10Speaker 19: could sell assets, like federal lands and the post office
- 1:03:14Speaker 19: and things like that, and sell these assets and collect
- 1:03:18Speaker 19: money so we could use that to reduce our debt.
- 1:03:21Speaker 19: And so, you know, and we did some of that.
- 1:03:24Speaker 19: We didn't do near enough of it. But now we
- 1:03:26Speaker 19: have the opposite. When you have an institution like the
- 1:03:29Speaker 19: United States government that's $ 40 trillion in debt, why is
- 1:03:32Speaker 19: it buying assets? It should be selling assets. We should
- 1:03:36Speaker 19: be selling, you know, things and making money so that
- 1:03:39Speaker 19: we can help reduce our debt burden.
- 1:03:41Speaker 7: So I don't like this. That's point number one.
- 1:03:43Speaker 19: And just philosophically, I guess that's it. But the second
- 1:03:46Speaker 19: reason I'm against it is, you know, what the government's
- 1:03:49Speaker 19: trying to do here is pick winners and losers. But
- 1:03:51Speaker 19: guess what? The government's not very good at that. They're
- 1:03:54Speaker 19: not very good at picking winners and losers. In fact,
- 1:03:57Speaker 19: what they're really good at is picking losers.
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: Remember Solyndra? Remember that one?
- 1:04:01Speaker 19: Remember, what was it, Fisker Auto and all these companies
- 1:04:05Speaker 19: that I think it was the Obama administration invested in.
- 1:04:07Speaker 19: Like every one of them went bankrupt. So I don't
- 1:04:10Speaker 19: think these people running government who can't balance their own
- 1:04:13Speaker 19: books are going to be very good at figuring out
- 1:04:15Speaker 19: what companies to invest in.
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: Do you?
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: No, it's crazy.
- 1:04:20Speaker 19: I'd rather go to my broker rather than have the
- 1:04:25Speaker 19: government tell me where to invest.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: Hey, you were talking about this a while back. The
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: flat tax is the smartest, most brilliant thing. Everybody pays 17%.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: It's fair. But you can never do it because selling
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: those loopholes and deductions is what Congress does for a living.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: So How could you ever get it passed?
- 1:04:47Speaker 14: I know.
- 1:04:48Speaker 19: It's really tough because it really is. Washington makes its living.
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: We get rich.
- 1:04:53Speaker 19: Three of the five richest counties in America are in
- 1:04:55Speaker 19: and around Washington, D.C. We get rich because you send
- 1:04:57Speaker 19: us all your money.
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 1:04:59Speaker 19: Thank you for doing that, Mark. You're so nice to
- 1:05:01Speaker 19: send us all your money. You send us a dollar
- 1:05:04Speaker 19: and we send you 80 cents back. It's a really
- 1:05:06Speaker 19: great gambit we've got. Anyway, one of the ways we
- 1:05:10Speaker 19: make a lot of money in Washington and create whole
- 1:05:14Speaker 19: industries is is by the whole tax preparation industry. And
- 1:05:19Speaker 19: we've got armies of tax lawyers out there. When I
- 1:05:24Speaker 19: get to the bottom line of my tax return every year,
- 1:05:26Speaker 19: and mine isn't especially complicated, but it's a little complicated,
- 1:05:31Speaker 19: you have to attest to the fact that the information
- 1:05:34Speaker 19: you've given to the United States government is valid and true.
- 1:05:38Speaker 19: And I signed that, but I don't know if it is.
- 1:05:41Speaker 19: I mean, I do my best, but I have no
- 1:05:45Speaker 19: idea whether I paid the right amount because the whole
- 1:05:47Speaker 19: thing is so damn confusing. Why does the tax system
- 1:05:50Speaker 19: have to be so confusing? With a flat tax, you
- 1:05:52Speaker 19: literally have a postcard return. You've got seven lines on
- 1:05:56Speaker 19: the return. How much money did you make? You get
- 1:05:58Speaker 19: a deduction on your kids. You get just a few deductions,
- 1:06:01Speaker 19: and then you pay a small flat rate on that.
- 1:06:06Speaker 19: And it doesn't matter whether you're Bill Gates or Steve Moore,
- 1:06:09Speaker 19: you're going to pay the same rate, but he's going
- 1:06:11Speaker 19: to pay a hundred times more tax than I do
- 1:06:12Speaker 19: because he has a hundred times more money than I do.
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: That's a fair system.
- 1:06:16Speaker 19: And I bet most Americans love it, but everybody in
- 1:06:18Speaker 19: Washington hates it because it takes power away from the,
- 1:06:22Speaker 19: from the, you know, the congressmen and lobbyists. And, and
- 1:06:26Speaker 19: by the way, if you know who was one of
- 1:06:27Speaker 19: the instigators of the flat tax was our friend.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: Steve Forbes.
- 1:06:32Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: Should have been elected on it, but yeah.
- 1:06:35Speaker 19: Now, By the way, when he ran for president and
- 1:06:38Speaker 19: started talking about the flat tax, oh, my God, Washington
- 1:06:41Speaker 19: went into conniptions.
- 1:06:42Speaker 7: They're like, oh, my God, stop this man. He's dangerous.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: Besides the fact that it's the easiest, most logical, fair
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: thing in the world, what about people saying, well, we'll
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: get less revenue that way?
- 1:06:54Speaker 19: Oh, no, you get so much more because now there's
- 1:06:56Speaker 19: no way to stash away and hide your money. So
- 1:06:59Speaker 19: what we've created are these tax shelters, and who takes
- 1:07:01Speaker 19: advantage of the tax shelters? Rich people with fancy pants lawyers.
- 1:07:05Speaker 19: So now if you're somebody like a Bill Gates, you're
- 1:07:09Speaker 19: going to.
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: Pay your fair share, but you're going to pay a
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: lower rate.
- 1:07:13Speaker 19: So your incentive to continue to invest in the economy
- 1:07:17Speaker 19: and so on goes up. I mean, if you imagine
- 1:07:20Speaker 19: we had a 17% tax rate in this country, I mean,
- 1:07:23Speaker 19: we would be a vacuum cleaner of capital from all
- 1:07:25Speaker 19: over the world. Nobody could possibly compete with the United States.
- 1:07:28Speaker 19: So the only problem is we'd have to find a
- 1:07:31Speaker 19: job for all those IRS agents and all the tax accountants.
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and those congressmen would have to find something else
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: to sell for a donation.
- 1:07:38Speaker 9: Right, exactly.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: Well, Steve Moore, great stuff. And that daily briefing you
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: put out, the hotline, it's the best.
- 1:07:45Speaker 7: Did you mention it's free?
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: It's absolutely free. You go to UnleashProsperity.com. Sign up for it.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: I urge you to do that. UnleashProsperity.com. Sign up for
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: the hotline. Best daily briefing and analysis and great stuff.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: Steve Moore, thanks for being with us.
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:08:02Speaker 20: Thanks, Mark.
- 1:08:02Speaker 7: Have a great weekend.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Take care. Take care. Hey, we've got another hour to go.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: Don't forget, it's three hours every day. This show is
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: now three hours, nine to noon every day. Then at noon,
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: you've got two great hosts, Buck Sexton, Clay Travis. 3 o'clock,
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: you've got the most listened to radio show in America,
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: Sean Hannity. Jesse Kelly, 6 o'clock, and the very funny
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: Jimmy Fallon show every night, 9 to midnight, here on 710WOR. Now,
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: much more Mark. Mark Simone. Now, 9 till noon weekdays.
- 1:08:35Speaker 11: On 710WOR.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: Well, you had that big spike in oil over the weekend.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: It shot up like $ 107 a barrel. Well, it's been dropping,
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: continues dropping. Been dropping the last couple of days down
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: $ 10 a barrel just in the last couple of days.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: So that's a good sign. Apparently, oil moving like crazy
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: through the Strait of Hormuz. Lots and lots of... lots
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: of oil flowing through there. It's going to be a beautiful, well,
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: it's going to be a sunny day. It's going to
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: be cool, cold, autumn, and windy today, but bright sunshine
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: for the next five, six days. No rain in the forecast.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: That's good news. We'll be back after the news. Don't forget,
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: it's three hours every day, 9 to noon. 9 a.m.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: till noon. Three hours every day. Or if you can't
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: listen live, get the podcast. You can hear the show
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: that way anytime you want. Back after the news on 710WOR.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: Now on 710WOR.
- 1:09:34Speaker 11: Mark Simone.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: Much more Mark. Thank you, Shadow Stevens. Welcome to hour
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: number three of the latest breaking news this morning. Trump
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: has been very nice to Putin the last week or two,
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: even flattering him at times, causing some flack for himself
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: by being nice to Putin. But it's paying off. A
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: couple of things have happened. Russia has released an American
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: they've been holding for four years, an American teacher. They
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: took hostage. So Putin, Trump asked for that teacher to
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: be released. That prisoner asked for him back. Putin released
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: him this morning. with no conditions. It was not a
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: swap or an exchange. He just did it for us,
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: released the teacher. Now, the other big breakthrough, Putin has
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: agreed to trilateral talks. It'll be the U.S., Ukraine, Russia.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: Putin has agreed to sit down for trilateral talks. Now,
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: this is a big breakthrough. Of course, when you have
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: negotiations with Putin, no matter what he agrees to, it
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: never happens. But, It's the thought that counts. He's going
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: to have trilateral talks. So there's been a bit of
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: a breakthrough. We'll see what happens. Mayor Bloomberg, Michael Bloomberg,
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: has announced he's given $ 80 million to Democrats. He loves
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: the Democrats. He's a Democrat, lifelong Democrat, except for that
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: period where he pretended he was a Republican to get
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: elected mayor, but he's been a Democrat all his life.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: So he's donating $ 80 million just in the last two weeks.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: This is the final two weeks it's only 13 days
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: until the election so there's gonna be a massive push
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: it's gonna get very intense the next week especially and
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: it's gonna go crazy so Bloomberg is pumping 80 million
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: dollars into the race I mean after all the Democrats
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: were so nice to him remember when he tried to
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: run and they humiliated him out of the race of
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: course he was a stuttering idiot in the debates his
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: uh debate uh I watch it about once a week.
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: Go on YouTube, type Michael Bloomberg, Elizabeth Warren. Watch Elizabeth
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: Warren tear him apart on the debate stage and watch
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Bloomberg become a ridiculously embarrassing, stuttering idiot, a real chef
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: of the future. He didn't know what to say. Like
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: a bad fighter who couldn't even get his hands up.
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: The anti-Semitism continuing all over the place. So some anti-Semite,
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: anti-Israel vandals destroying the subway entrance, you know, the machines.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: When you go on the subway, it used to be
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: a MetroCard. Remember those? A MetroCard. Remember, a MetroCard. It
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: seems so antique. But, you know, you hold your phone
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: up to the little omni-screen reader. Well, these anti-Israel vandals
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: have been going into the subway. They've captured it on video.
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: You can see them. They come in with a big drill,
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: and they drill right through the glass and right through
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: the screen and destroy the Omni reader. Why? Because the
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: company that makes the readers is an Israeli company, I guess.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: They cost about $ 3, 000 each, so they destroyed all of
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: them in one subway station. That's about $ 18, 000 in damages.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: They did leave two leaflets behind. One said, live free.
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: Ride Free, F the NYPD. The other was anti-Semitic, anti-Israel.
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: Every time you tap, you're sending money to a war profiteer.
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: Stop the genocide, free Palestine. These guys were all covered
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: up and masked, so I don't know if they'll be
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: able to find them. But they did destroy a lot
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: of the Omni machine readers, but they'll be on the
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: lookout for these guys now, trying to stop them. Hey,
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: The View. Joy Behar. You know, she's older than you
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: might have realized. She's 84, Joy Behar. And there's a
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: lot of people that are 84 and running around and
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: doing a great job. But she's become quite frail at 84.
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: And she's taken a couple of bad falls backstage, even
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: on the set once. I think dislocated her shoulder. I mean,
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: she's taken some really bad falls. Serious injuries. She's 84
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: and apparently backstage, behind the scenes, people have to lead
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: her around and hold her, otherwise she'll fall. So apparently,
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: according to this report, the VIEW executives are urging her
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: to retire right away before something really bad happens, a
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: serious injury. Behind the scenes, they say it's become a
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: dangerous situation. Nobody wants to be responsible if something bad happens.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: She needs the staff to guide her around backstage. She
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: was off the show for a while earlier this month,
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: claiming she would be... Actually, she's been off since October 1st,
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: claiming she would be returning soon, but that hasn't happened.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: But they're very alarmed about this, urging her now not
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: to come back, urging her to retire. You know who
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: is coming back? Roseanne Barr. Of course, the show Roseanne
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: back in the 80s, that was.
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: The most important show, sitcom. It was huge. That show
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: was so big, so powerful. It was a top-rated show.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: Ran for many years. Now, remember, a few years ago,
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: she brought it back. ABC brought it back. And she's
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: a Trump supporter. She's a conservative. So she wanted to
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: make that a part of the character, that she was
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: a Trump supporter. So they brought the show back. It
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: did very well in the ratings.
- 1:15:34Speaker 9: But.
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: Everybody went crazy on a Trump supporter on ABC. Network
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: TV doesn't want any Trump support on there. So apparently
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: there was a tweet they didn't like. I forget what
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: the tweet was. They said it was racist, but they
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: were looking for an excuse to cancel her, and they
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: canceled her right away. Well, she's coming back now with
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: a whole new show independently produced. Either she's financing it.
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: She probably made a billion dollars on Roseanne, so she
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: may be financing it. Yeah, it says self-financed. So it's
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: a sitcom called Meemaw, a modern-day fable. She plays a,
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: it's basically like a trailer park family in Texas Hill Country.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: She plays the matriarch who's very patriotic. It's a mixed-race family.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: Dree DiMatteo plays her daughter. Remember her? She was on
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: The Sopranos. On The Sopranos, she was Adrienne, married to Christopher,
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: People loved her in that show, so she'll be the daughter.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: Omar Gooding plays her son-in-law. There's a granddaughter. Randy Quaid
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: plays the local sheriff. So it could be a great show.
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: Hollywood Reporter took a sneak peek of it. They said
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: it's closer in tone to the trailer park comedy My
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: Name is Earl than Roseanne. But she's financed this thing.
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: They've done a pilot or a couple of shows, and
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: she's looking for an outlet. If a network wants it,
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: Of course, the networks are all left-wing Trump haters. They're
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: not going to run it. But a streaming service, they
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: might want it. They might want it. So keep an
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: eye on this Roseanne new sitcom. That may be happening soon.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: If you're in Nashville, you remember you used to go
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: to Nashville. It was all country. It was country. It
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: was the Grand Ole Opry. It was Johnny Cash. It
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: was country play, ribs, all that stuff. Well, if you
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: go down there now, People are a little shocked. There's
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: Lamborghinis all over the place. There's $ 30, $ 40 million mansions.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: You know, they got rid of the tax. Tennessee became
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: a great state. Nashville became the hottest, most booming city
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: in America. A lot of wealthy people. A lot of
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: northerners moved down there. It's becoming quite the glitzy, ritzy place.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: Even a lot of top restaurants. Anthony Scotto, who used
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: to be running Fresco, the great restaurant here in New York,
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: he moved down there. He opened an Italian restaurant. And
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: then another one, I think he's got a third one coming,
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: hotshot New York restaurant guy down there. There's more and
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: more of that happening. And as I say, Lamborghinis all
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: over the place. It's not the same old Nashville. You know,
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: there's good and there's bad to it. It's like Miami
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: Beach isn't the old Jackie Gleason, Larry King Miami Beach
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: with the houseboat. It's like a million skyscrapers. It's gridlock.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: It's traffic. It's traffic. uh hookers everywhere it's uh nightclubs
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: it's a million new york restaurant it's not what it
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: used to be things change when you that's the problem
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: with getting rid of all the taxes and making it
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: an easy place to move to. Everybody moves there. So
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: in France, they've got curfews now in Paris and Lyon.
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: They're worried about this weekend where it could start up again.
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: Apparently a massive security operation being planned by Macron for
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: when the rioting comes back this weekend. Lay's potato chips. Now,
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: you should not be eating potato chips, by the way.
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: There's all kinds of new studies out. You know what
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: the healthiest thing you need is?
- 1:19:13Speaker 9: Nuts.
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: I mean, for a snack. Pistachio nuts, almonds, walnuts. Forget
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: potato chips. Not healthy. Too many chemicals. But you read
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: all the latest studies. Nuts are so healthy for you
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: in like 27 major categories. But Lay's announces new flavors
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: to hit the shelves this month and next month. They're
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: actually made in Texas. I'm choking up here. I don't
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: know if I like any of these. The new Lay's
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: potato chips. Coming out now. Cheddar scalloped style potatoes. That
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: doesn't sound great. Roasted holiday turkey flavored chips. Sounds ridiculous.
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: Lay's maple bacon chips. Sounds awful. Sorry, choking up here. Now,
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: to wash it all down, Pepsi is announcing the big
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: new Pepsi. It's vanilla and cream soda. Okay, that doesn't
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: sound bad. Vanilla cream Pepsi. All right, it doesn't sound great,
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: but it doesn't sound that bad. Now, in December, Lay's
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: is announcing chocolatey potato chips. Okay, this sounds okay. The
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: wavy milk chocolate potato chip. the wavy Dubai-style dark chocolate-covered chip.
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: All right, it sounds okay. But it sounds like these
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: are going to be, they're going to, watch, the price
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: is going to go way up. This is an excuse
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: to sell you very expensive potato chips. Now, Halloween is coming,
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: but some towns, especially out in the suburbs, many towns
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: and localities want to have curfews, strict curfews, Because they're
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: worried about trouble on Halloween, I guess. They want, now
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: this is a little too early, a 7 p.m. curfew.
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: Long Branch, New Jersey has passed this, Warwick, New York,
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: other towns. 7 p.m.
- 1:21:20Speaker 7: Curfew.
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: That is not enough time. I mean, you want your
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: kids to have dinner. I guess you could eat early,
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: 5 o'clock, go trick-or-treating. But that's like only an hour
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: or two. Not enough trick-or-treating. I mean, this is a
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: time to really cash in. Free candy everywhere. All right,
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: here's another one. They call this guy the godfather of AI.
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: They call everybody the godfather of AI. This guy's Professor
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: Jeffrey Hinton. All right, when you hear the word professor, run.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: If you hear the word professor, usually don't take anything
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: they say seriously. He's a British-Canadian computer scientist who worked
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: on the neutral networks that paved the way for AI.
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: It's also the story from The Telegraph, which is the
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: sleaziest British paper. I wouldn't trust them at all. But
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: the godfather of AI claims humans had better be nice
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: to the bots or face extinction. The tech has apparently
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: developed signs of consciousness. Now, remember, this stuff has always
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: gone on. As we keep pointing out, they did this
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: with electricity. When electricity was invented, they thought it was
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: going to be evil and wipe us all out. And
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: that's what caused the book Frankenstein to be written. So
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: take it with a big, big grain of salt. I
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: don't know. Hey, speaking of Ukraine, some numbers coming out.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: You know, President Trump dramatically reduced our support, financial support
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: of Ukraine. And it turns out since Trump took office,
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: we've only given 540 million.
- 1:22:55Speaker 19: 540 million.
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: Compare that to Biden, who gave them $ 130 billion. $ 130 billion.
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: What did we get for it? Nothing. In fact, since
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: Trump cut all the money down dramatically by like 99%,
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: Ukraine has been doing better. Maybe that's what pushed them
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: to develop all their own drones and their own missiles
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: and their own weapons. Since we cut their money, they've
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: made incredible progress. So maybe we should cut it some more. Hey,
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next. 800- 321-0710 is the number.
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: Give me a call, especially if you're a new caller.
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: We love to hear from new callers.
- 1:23:38Speaker 9: 800-321-0710.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: Now, 9 till noon weekdays. Mark Simone. More Mark. On 710WOR. Well,
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: let's take some calls. 800- 321-0710 is the number. Let's
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: go to Kathy in North Carolina. Kathy, how are you doing?
- 1:24:03Speaker 11: Hey, beautiful day here in sunny North Carolina.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: Hey, sunny here too.
- 1:24:10Speaker 21: I know.
- 1:24:11Speaker 11: I'm headed home this weekend. I'm really kind of excited.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: Where is that?
- 1:24:15Speaker 11: To Stanford.
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: Oh, Stanford, Connecticut.
- 1:24:19Speaker 11: Yeah, you love Stanford.
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: I love Stanford. You've got a lot of great places there.
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: You've got the great restaurant Prime. You've got all sorts
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: of stuff there. You got to pop up bagels coming there.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: You got a Frank Pepe there. You got all you need.
- 1:24:30Speaker 11: It's changed quite. It's like they're building like crazy. But
- 1:24:33Speaker 11: earlier I heard you mention Omar asking for money, Ilyan Omar.
- 1:24:39Speaker 11: And so I'm I know I'm your favorite Democrat. So
- 1:24:43Speaker 11: I want to tell you that I got an email
- 1:24:45Speaker 11: from her the day after they, quote, raided her house.
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: And it was.
- 1:24:50Speaker 11: Unbelievable. It said Trump has weaponized the DOJ and the
- 1:24:55Speaker 11: DHS against his opponents. And now the fascism has come
- 1:24:59Speaker 11: to my literal front door. And so if I weren't
- 1:25:03Speaker 11: laughing enough, I would scroll down and it was like,
- 1:25:07Speaker 11: I will not give up. I will not be silenced.
- 1:25:09Speaker 11: Can you donate money to me?
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: But listen, if you heard, that's what you're going to say.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: That's the perfect life. First of all, the investigation into Omar.
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: Started by Joe Biden. It started under him. That's right.
- 1:25:21Speaker 11: And at least she didn't use the word, you know,
- 1:25:23Speaker 11: like warfare or whatever.
- 1:25:26Speaker 7: Lawfare, yeah.
- 1:25:27Speaker 11: I mean, the pot is calling the kettle black there.
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: Yeah, well, all right. But, you know, that's the perfect
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: lie for her. That's the best spin. That's the best
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: thing to say.
- 1:25:36Speaker 11: She's not running for anything, right?
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: It's running for her life, running from the law right now.
- 1:25:42Speaker 11: No, but she's not doing re-election, right? So why does
- 1:25:46Speaker 11: she need money?
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: Uh, at least you're going to have massive legal bills.
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: She's going to need money for a legal defense.
- 1:25:52Speaker 11: Well, I am more than thrilled that she got, I'm
- 1:25:56Speaker 11: sorry it took so long because I don't know what
- 1:25:58Speaker 11: took so long, but I'm anxious to hear it. But
- 1:26:01Speaker 11: also you read a thing about the Dubai, uh, or
- 1:26:04Speaker 11: the potato chips.
- 1:26:05Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:26:05Speaker 11: What's the deal? What is the deal with the Dubai
- 1:26:08Speaker 11: mentioned for, for food?
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: Well, okay. This is the big, a hot thing for
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: about a year and a half. Actually, he lays is
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: a little late to it in Dubai. They came up
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: with the great, uh, It's chocolate and it's a pistachio
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: cream and a certain kind of filling. It's actually very delicious.
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: It's Dubai chocolate bars and everybody in the U.S. It's
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: dark chocolate, a pistachio cream. It's actually delicious. Dubai chocolate bars.
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: You can find them all over the place. And then
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: Every restaurant started making Dubai chocolate desserts.
- 1:26:38Speaker 11: Well, I'm a little slow to the game there, so
- 1:26:41Speaker 11: thank you for clearing that up.
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: Well, you're in North Carolina.
- 1:26:43Speaker 11: You know, I mean, you're a little out of it.
- 1:26:47Speaker 11: You have a good day.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: Thanks for calling. Let's go to James in Utah. James,
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: how are you doing?
- 1:26:55Speaker 7: Hey, Mark.
- 1:26:56Speaker 9: Thanks so much.
- 1:26:56Speaker 22: I just had a quick question. Do you know whether
- 1:27:00Speaker 22: Trump has ever thought about trying to make an appeal to, like,
- 1:27:03Speaker 22: A gay community? He's done so much for the gay
- 1:27:06Speaker 22: community and he never really seems to make an outreach.
- 1:27:08Speaker 22: I didn't know whether that was a plan you've ever
- 1:27:10Speaker 22: heard of.
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: Well, there's not much. You can't really do anything. I mean,
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: he's been very pro-gay. He was an early proponent of
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: gay marriage. He's attended a lot of gay weddings before
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: he got into politics. He's as pro-gay as anybody. But
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: there's nothing you can do because they'll just attack you.
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: The media will attack you. You know, they continue to
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: describe him as a racist even though nobody has been
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: less racist. You know, before he went into politics, Trump
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: was getting awards from Jesse Jackson for the best minority
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: hiring practices. But it doesn't matter. No matter what he does, outreach, whatever,
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: they'll keep attacking him. The fake narrative will keep going.
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: But good question, James. Thanks for calling. Let's go to
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: Wendy in Long Island. Wendy, how are you doing?
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: Hey, Mark.
- 1:27:53Speaker 18: I'm doing great.
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: Well, that's good.
- 1:27:55Speaker 18: Thanks for taking my call. So, listen, I beg to
- 1:27:58Speaker 18: differ about... Potato chips, they're actually a health food. They're
- 1:28:04Speaker 18: not junk food. Stop that.
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: Stop that. Stop that.
- 1:28:07Speaker 18: Yes, it's potatoes, oil, and salt. And you don't have
- 1:28:11Speaker 18: any problem with salt if you have low blood pressure.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: All right. I want you to get a pack of
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: potato chips in the supermarket, and I want you to
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: look at the ingredients. It does not say potatoes and
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: salt and oil. That's not what it says. It has
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: 47 chemicals and 28 ingredients you never heard of in there.
- 1:28:28Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:28:28Speaker 18: I'll mail you a package of Lay's.
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: I don't mean to pick on Lay's, but if you
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: go look at the label, there's all kinds of ingredients,
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: you know, like sorbitol, albatol, visatol. chemical type thing. When
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: you see the ingredients have ingredients, you know you're not
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: eating the healthiest food.
- 1:28:48Speaker 18: Okay. And then I just wanted to put comments on
- 1:28:50Speaker 18: the Turkish pistachio nuts. I've been eating them for years
- 1:28:53Speaker 18: and years and years, and they're really much better than
- 1:28:55Speaker 18: the California ones. They have a light seasoning and a
- 1:28:58Speaker 18: different taste. And then all of a sudden, when this
- 1:29:00Speaker 18: Dubai chocolate came out, the price of the pistachio nuts
- 1:29:03Speaker 18: jumped twice the amount that they were. So they were
- 1:29:06Speaker 18: about $ 9 a pound. Now they're over $ 20 a pound.
- 1:29:10Speaker 18: I don't really care for the Dubai chocolate, and I
- 1:29:12Speaker 18: certainly don't want pistachio cream in my dark chocolate.
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: You don't have to have it. It's just a big
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: thing in Dubai. There's a lot of big Dubai things
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: they love that everybody else would hate that look pretty stupid. Hey,
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: where are you in Long Island?
- 1:29:25Speaker 18: So we live out here in Comac.
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: Comac is very nice. Very nice in Comac.
- 1:29:30Speaker 7: It is.
- 1:29:31Speaker 18: It is very nice.
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: All right. Thanks for calling. Let's go to, uh, let's see.
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: Let's go to Oswald in Bayside. Oswald, how you doing?
- 1:29:41Speaker 6: Good.
- 1:29:41Speaker 9: Uh, Mark, I love your show.
- 1:29:43Speaker 14: I think you're the best. And I hope, uh, Bruce
- 1:29:45Speaker 14: Blakeman wins, man.
- 1:29:47Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: Well, he turned things around in New York. So you're,
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: you're actually close to Nassau County. Not quite there. It's
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: right across the water from you, but, uh, Yeah, it's
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: very beautiful here. Bayside is very nice. I like it.
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: You've got beautiful stuff there. The Bayview Terrace, you've got
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: all that. You've got Ben's Deli. You've got everything in Bayside.
- 1:30:07Speaker 7: Thank you for taking my call, Mark. Have a beautiful day.
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: All right. Thanks for calling. Let's go to Aaron in Indianapolis. Aaron,
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: how are you doing?
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: Good morning, Mark.
- 1:30:17Speaker 14: And, hey, congratulations on your new year.
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: What new year?
- 1:30:22Speaker 17: I'm sorry, your new hour.
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: Oh.
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: Oh, please stop. I'll make the show a year every day.
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: It'll be a nonstop one-year show.
- 1:30:30Speaker 20: I want to talk about the weaponization of the Justice
- 1:30:33Speaker 20: Department under Trump.
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:30:37Speaker 20: Because that is to make up for the weaponization of
- 1:30:39Speaker 20: the Justice Department under Biden and Barack Hussein Ayatollah Obama.
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: Well, the difference is, if you look at the charges
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: the Trump administration is bringing, they all seem to be
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: quite legitimate. If you look at the lawfare against Trump,
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: The charges are absolutely ridiculous and immediately tossed out by
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: any legitimate appeals court. But the Trump charges seem to
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: be real and they'll hold up in any court. So
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: that's the good news. But thanks for calling, Aaron. Yeah,
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: so you look at the Letitia James case against Trump,
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: the Alvin Bragg, this crazy DA case against Trump. All
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: our greatest legal scholars have said they can't figure out
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: what the hell the charge is. Dershowitz said he's been
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: doing this 60 years. Cannot figure out what the charges
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: against Trump. I mean, they fabricated ridiculous charges. That's why
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: they won't allow the appeals to proceed. They're holding them
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: up because the appeals court is just toss it all
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: out immediately. Hey, Trump, by the way, not convicted of anything.
- 1:31:36Speaker 2: You know, they keep saying he's a convicted felon. You're
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: not technically a conviction until you're sentenced and they've held
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: up the sentencing. So when we come back, Ann Coulter,
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: we'll talk to her next. On 710WOR.
- 1:31:51Speaker 13: Well, Ann Coulter, the best-selling author, the great columnist, Rumble star.
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: Have you been watching the Ann Coulter channel on Rumble?
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: Take a look at it. And then make sure you
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: sign up for her sub stack. You can follow her
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: on Twitter, but even better, sub stack. where she does
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: videos and podcasts and all sorts of stuff. It's anncoulter.substack.com.
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: Ann Coulter, how are you doing?
- 1:32:23Speaker 7: Great.
- 1:32:23Speaker 21: How are you, Mark Simone?
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: Very good. Very good. Look at this. Kamala Harris is
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: hitting the campaign trail. That should be a big help.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: Oh, that's fantastic.
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: That's going to really move the needle, huh?
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: Just be glad obama can't run again well he's out
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: there uh campaigning for uh el sayad this week could
- 1:32:46Speaker 3: el sayad really win in a rust belt michigan type
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: state well it's not that rust belt anymore but yes
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: yes i mean the.
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: Big issue unfortunately for republicans i i it shouldn't be
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: because it's not going to end the Iran war, but
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: it is the Iran war. And it was stupid. Trump
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: promised not to start any more stupid wars.
- 1:33:09Speaker 9: This is about the stupidest we've had.
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: Certainly in my lifetime, drove all these gas prices up.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: People are angry.
- 1:33:17Speaker 21: I noticed that.
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: MSNBC and CNN are already trying to say it's about
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: something other than the Iran war.
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: Oh, it's ice.
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: People are mad at ice. No, as I keep pointing out,
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: Although Trump's numbers are quite low, his immigration enforcement is
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: the most popular of all of his policies. It's the
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: one issue voters still trust Republicans on more. Not that
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: those questions are really as precise as they seem. What
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: happens is when voters are mad at the party in power,
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: they just blame them for everything, every single little thing.
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: So the numbers go down across the board. So it's
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: striking that still voters trust Republicans more on immigration. And,
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: you know, this is what I keep telling people. I've
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: been running into a lot of them, just regular people
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: who are angry about the Iran war. And what on
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: earth is Trump doing? They're not wild about the ballroom
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: and all that stuff either, but it's mostly the Iran war.
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: And I tell them you're not going to get less war,
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: even if El-Sayed wins. And he is probably the Democrat
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: who would be most against this war, though they all are.
- 1:34:32Speaker 21: Every Democrat voted.
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: Against the Iran war, so Republicans are not in a
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: good position on that. it's not going to make any difference.
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: It's not going to make any difference in how much
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: foreign aid we send to Israel or anyplace else. But
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: we will have sane judges blocked. Trump won't be able
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: to get any more judges through, and that's going to
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: last a long time. Next Democrat who comes in as
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: president is going to do what Biden did and fill
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: up the federal courts with a bunch of uh... p
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: c d i incompetent uh... we're also uh.
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: Who were also going going to get lots more d
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: e i policies uh... i mean it's all the things
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: it what you are voting for by voting against republicans
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: is not what you're going to be getting here going
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: to be very bad i mean senate the senate election
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: oh my gosh a lot of them shockingly even texas
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: look awfully close We could lose, we could finally lose Texas.
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: And I think I told you, I don't know, a
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: couple months ago, if you asked me about Texas, I
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: would have said, I don't know, it's Texas. They've been
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: predicting it for a long time. No, it looks pretty
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: bad right now. I hope I'm wrong. I can't tell
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: you how much I hope I'm wrong. But Senators last
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: six years. We're going to be stuck with these guys.
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: I mean, okay, who knows what will happen, but I
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: think it's going to be a very bad night for Republicans.
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: We could lose Iowa.
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: We could lose Texas. If that happens, I just want
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: to remind people this is six years. Don't throw a
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: little fit over Trump and the Iran war now.
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, we'll see. It's going to be 13 days
- 1:36:15Speaker 2: from today. The most important thing is everybody get out
- 1:36:19Speaker 2: and vote. In New York, you can start voting on Saturday.
- 1:36:22Speaker 2: Make sure you get out and vote.
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: Well, not everyone should get out and vote.
- 1:36:27Speaker 2: Yes. If you're a Democrat, the voting is in December.
- 1:36:30Speaker 2: You can wait until then.
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Speaking of which, you know, in the New
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: York elections, I mean, it is New York, but probably
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: the worst elected official in the state of New York,
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: perhaps in all of history, is Letitia James, the attorney general.
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: And I've been listening to her opponent, that Indian lady.
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: Brilliant.
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: And I have to say, she's really, she's very good.
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: It's really kind of heartbreaking that she is... I doesn't
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: seem to have much of a chance. I mean, it
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: is New York, but wow. I hope New Yorkers are
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: paying attention to that.
- 1:37:07Speaker 14: Yes.
- 1:37:07Speaker 2: Unfortunately, nobody can remember her name or even if they
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: know what it is, they can't say it. What's her name? Sarita.
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: Well, it's not Letitia Jane.
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: Vote for the Republican for attorney general. Very important. Hey, uh,
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: you're an alumni, uh, How come I haven't heard about
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: Cornell for a few days? It vanished from the news.
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: What was that? Why did it vanish?
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: You know, I've noticed that it's vanished every place except
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: from the New York Times, which is what my column
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: is about today. I know I've got to stop writing
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: about this, but they're so insane. This Cornell case is crazy,
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: and we're getting the same thing we always get where–
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: where you know just here on fire reporting and i
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: mean just yesterday the new york times had another article
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: on uh.
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: Why men in groups behave badly oh i don't know
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: agreement in groups created you know paypal spacex palantir all
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: the modern world they they they conquered nazi germany men
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: in groups have actually done some good thing yes uh...
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: But the Times in particular, it is worse than any
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: other major news outlet, that newspaper, in terms of anything
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: having to do with feminists. anything. They were the last
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: ones to admit that the Duke lacrosse players were innocent.
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: I mean, I think Nye Fong was in prison before
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: the New York Times would admit it. And, you know,
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: as the great book by Stuart Taylor, I forget the
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: other guy's name, and until proven innocent, I think is
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: the name of it, about the Duke case demonstrated, it
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: was really shocking how much the New York Times kept
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: lying and hiding about that. And that's just one case.
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: I mean, there have been many more since then. And
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: they're doing the same thing now. I kept noticing, I mean,
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: I saw it right after ABC News posted it. A
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: lot of these documents had been released to the media.
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: And ABC News, to their credit, was the first ones
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: to post a bunch of Jane.
- 1:39:19Speaker 21: Doe's text to her alleged rapist in the week after
- 1:39:24Speaker 21: the gangbang, as she herself called it in one of
- 1:39:28Speaker 21: the texts, by the way.
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: And they're utterly exonerating.
- 1:39:32Speaker 9: It shows.
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: Pretty clearly not only consent, but ooh, enthusiastic consent. And
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: I keep reading these New York Times articles, and they're
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: not printing.
- 1:39:44Speaker 21: The juiciest of her texts.
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: They are simply not printing them. This is one thing
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: AI is great for. I asked a few AIs to
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: tell me if the New York Times had ever printed
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: this particular text from Jane Doe.
- 1:39:59Speaker 20: Oh, no, no, no.
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: Oh, no, no, no.
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: And this is when they have written more than 70
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: articles or podcasts or videos, more than 70 on this case.
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: It's not like they're reserving judgment. They've already made their judgment,
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: and it's just a matter of denouncing men.
- 1:40:17Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: Now, if these texts are real and true, it looks
- 1:40:21Speaker 2: like she's saying afterwards, a week after, that everything was fine.
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: She wasn't raped and it was all consensual. So in
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: a courtroom, won't they, these guys, won't they be able
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: to get declared innocent with all this?
- 1:40:38Speaker 18: Well, it's a lawsuit.
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: It's not innocent, guilty. I mean, I don't think the
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: DA can't bring charges on the basis of this, I
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: would think. But that's why the New York Times and others,
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: I mean, the professoriate at Cornell is denouncing the president
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: for not doing more. It reminds me of the Rolling
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: Stones story about the non-existent gang rape at the UVA fraternity.
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: And for you youngsters who missed this really glorious chapter
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: in journalistic history, Sabrina Eardley wrote the most insane, on-its-face,
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: untrue story of a gang rape in a fraternity on
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: top of glass with fraternity brothers saying things.
- 1:41:25Speaker 21: Like, grab its leg, its leg.
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: Just statements that were, on their face, comical. The rest
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: of the media, liberal mainstream media, pretty quickly started, did
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: not take this article seriously. It was a cover story
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: on Rolling Stone. But, oh, at the school, all fraternity
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: activity was banned, as has just been done at Cornell.
- 1:41:57Speaker 1: The dean of students, or this woman, Arduro, I think
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: her name was.
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: She took Jackie, the accuser, totally seriously. You know, all
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: the Title IX apparatus kicked into play. And the entire thing,
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: it was beyond fictional. This Jackie, the accuser, had never
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: set foot in the fraternity. She didn't know a single
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: member of the fraternity. She just randomly picked this fraternity to.
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: To slam one newspaper, by the way, did not express
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: skepticism of her story. And yes, that would be the
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: New York times. But yeah, Cornell has bent over backward
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: to accommodate and to believe this loon, despite, despite what
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: are some very exonerating texts from her.
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: It's going to be interesting. Ann Coulter, we're out of time,
- 1:42:49Speaker 2: but everybody check. When's the new column come out today?
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: A little bit later today.
