- 0:01Speaker 1: Hi, Amber, hilelah, Welcome to an unlikely affair. Hey, babe's
- 0:08Speaker 1: welcome to an unlikely affair. I am here with my
- 0:12Speaker 1: sister wife Amber. Hello, gorgeous, Hi baby, how are you?
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm excellent. I worked out this morning. I told myself
- 0:19Speaker 1: no more breaks, and I have not I smell. I'm
- 0:25Speaker 1: actually glad you're not next to me. I'm very glad.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Easton was like, yo, you then you are ripe.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Did you work out at home?
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just easier that way. Have you been have
- 0:36Speaker 1: you been doing pilates and stuff?
- 0:37Speaker 3: No?
- 0:38Speaker 2: I just did yan yoga on the floor like before
- 0:40Speaker 2: we started recording, and then I've been going to the gym.
- 0:43Speaker 2: I got to get out of the house.
- 0:45Speaker 1: That counts. That all counts. What's yan yoga?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Well, yan Yoga's is like I call it lazy man yoga,
- 0:52Speaker 2: but it really isn't. It's basically like meditation, but you're
- 0:55Speaker 2: holding poses for three to five minutes.
- 0:58Speaker 1: No, that sounds legit.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Oh, it's so good when I'm when I'm there, we'll
- 1:01Speaker 2: do it together. I have this guy that I follow
- 1:04Speaker 2: on YouTube and I started during the pandemic and it
- 1:07Speaker 2: literally just centered me. I can't I'm not great with
- 1:11Speaker 2: regular yoga because I have really weak wrist, so this
- 1:14Speaker 2: is kind of like I could just lay on the
- 1:15Speaker 2: floor and watch something and like sit in a pose
- 1:18Speaker 2: and it really gets into like the fascia of your muscles,
- 1:22Speaker 2: which is like the layer underneath that like actually support
- 1:25Speaker 2: your skeletal system. It's amazing.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Muscles were wrapped in. Am I misinformed? I don't know.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I thought the fashion was what your muscles I need
- 1:36Speaker 1: to take like an anatomy class, So.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Maybe maybe you're right. I don't know.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Google it. No, I'm proud of us because I feel
- 1:44Speaker 1: like I get my body to where I want it
- 1:45Speaker 1: to be, and then something comes up where I've got
- 1:48Speaker 1: back to back like super early mornings, and I'm like, Okay,
- 1:51Speaker 1: we'll pick back up next week. But then I look
- 1:53Speaker 1: at the following week and it's like, oh shit, I'm
- 1:55Speaker 1: leaving town and I just fall off. And the moment
- 1:58Speaker 1: that I do that you can work for an entire
- 2:00Speaker 1: year on a slam and body, and I feel like
- 2:03Speaker 1: you take one week off and your body is back
- 2:06Speaker 1: to look in like the Grinch. And maybe that's just
- 2:07Speaker 1: my experience, but I'm like, I refuse.
- 2:11Speaker 2: You know, I told myself when because I think this
- 2:14Speaker 2: going to the gym has to be this huge production.
- 2:16Speaker 2: It doesn't have to be. If I say, Okay, Amber,
- 2:18Speaker 2: you're gonna go there, You're gonna get on the treadmill
- 2:20Speaker 2: for thirty minutes. You're not gonna run. I tell myself,
- 2:23Speaker 2: you're not gonna run. You're gonna do a three speed
- 2:26Speaker 2: at a twelve incline right to really at least work
- 2:28Speaker 2: the back of your legs. And then sometimes I get
- 2:31Speaker 2: motivated to run if I'm listening to like a good
- 2:33Speaker 2: rap song and then I go and I do, like
- 2:36Speaker 2: You're like, okay, you're gonna do three exercises now, always
- 2:38Speaker 2: want more because like once those endorphins start, you know,
- 2:41Speaker 2: flowing through my body, I'm like, oh man, I feel good.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Let's keep doing it. And I end up being there
- 2:45Speaker 2: for like like a full hour, which is great. Yeah,
- 2:48Speaker 2: that is a trick yourself. Well, I think the hardest
- 2:51Speaker 2: part about getting to the gym is getting to the gym.
- 2:54Speaker 1: It's like the hardest part of the entire workout is
- 2:56Speaker 1: like getting me to start.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Yeah. They say the heaviest way at the gym as
- 3:01Speaker 2: the front door.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Yeah I know, but I was talking to Jenna, who
- 3:07Speaker 1: you know, she comes to the house and I was like,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I think I'm in a cave. I think I am
- 3:11Speaker 1: going to get the gym membership, and because right after
- 3:17Speaker 1: I had Sosa, like it just seemed easiest to work
- 3:19Speaker 1: out at the house, Like I knew that I would
- 3:21Speaker 1: make it there because I'm just here already. So now
- 3:25Speaker 1: I'm like, I think we'll be able to make it
- 3:27Speaker 1: out the door into another door. Yeah, and the steermaster
- 3:31Speaker 1: to get that perky little ass.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I know, I know. Well, there's a couple of really
- 3:35Speaker 2: good gyms by your house, so you do you have
- 3:37Speaker 2: no excuses?
- 3:38Speaker 1: Well, speaking of perky little asses, did you end up
- 3:41Speaker 1: watching Heated Rivalry?
- 3:45Speaker 2: Yes?
- 3:47Speaker 1: The Gold though, the gold that you just took with
- 3:51Speaker 1: the yes to follow? Tell me everything you liked you
- 3:55Speaker 1: didn't like.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I didn't know what the heck I was getting myself
- 3:59Speaker 2: in too, right, I had no idea. Oh my god,
- 4:02Speaker 2: I have so many thoughts. I don't even know where
- 4:04Speaker 2: to begin. Okay, at first, I was like, what is
- 4:08Speaker 2: this show? Like, I don't really understand it. I wasn't
- 4:11Speaker 2: expecting it, and then somehow it completely captured me and
- 4:17Speaker 2: I couldn't figure out why, Like, this was a show
- 4:19Speaker 2: that I was like, what do what is it about
- 4:22Speaker 2: this show that I love? And it wasn't about gay men.
- 4:26Speaker 2: The shows to me is not about gay men. This
- 4:29Speaker 2: is about men in general. Right. He the creator of
- 4:33Speaker 2: the show, did such a beautiful job at displaying the
- 4:40Speaker 2: entire arc of the human expression, and I can't. So
- 4:44Speaker 2: It's like the guys were tender and passionate and masculine
- 4:49Speaker 2: and hunky, and they fought and they were lovers, and
- 4:51Speaker 2: then all of a sudden it was like boom, like
- 4:53Speaker 2: hardcore fuck me, And I think that that's what I want.
- 4:57Speaker 2: That's what I am desiring in a partner, someone that
- 5:01Speaker 2: has all of that tenderness yea, the emotional availability, but
- 5:07Speaker 2: then someone that could.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Just be really hard I know, right or rock my world.
- 5:13Speaker 1: That's probably yeah there, I Hey, I don't sensor yourself
- 5:17Speaker 1: for me, I would. So this show came to my
- 5:20Speaker 1: front door through my friends Nick and Joe, and they
- 5:24Speaker 1: are a gay couple who I've known for a few
- 5:27Speaker 1: years now. We go to Hawaii with them and they're
- 5:29Speaker 1: the ones who are like, you have to watch it,
- 5:31Speaker 1: And then I started hearing about it everywhere I turned
- 5:35Speaker 1: for the most part it was from gay men who
- 5:39Speaker 1: are saying, you have to watch this, you have to
- 5:41Speaker 1: watch it. And I knew what the story was about.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I don't know about you, but I get so which
- 5:49Speaker 1: is so weird because I'm like, not shy about anything,
- 5:53Speaker 1: and I talk about sex all the time. But I
- 5:56Speaker 1: get so funny when I'm watching something. It could whether
- 6:00Speaker 1: it's two men, two women, man and woman, threesomes, one sums,
- 6:04Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. I start going, oh my gosh, this
- 6:07Speaker 1: is intense. I don't think I can do it right now.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I have to be in the mental headspace right And
- 6:14Speaker 1: so it took me like four days to get through
- 6:15Speaker 1: the first episode because the first episode is like they're
- 6:19Speaker 1: all in right. Once I got through it, and by
- 6:23Speaker 1: the way, I've had many people, even gay men, say
- 6:27Speaker 1: the first episode it was really hard because I was like,
- 6:29Speaker 1: what is this show really? I get through it finally
- 6:34Speaker 1: and I was like, this is one of the greatest
- 6:37Speaker 1: shows I have ever watched in my life. And them
- 6:41Speaker 1: tying in this not random couple but one of the
- 6:44Speaker 1: other teammates. He goes by Scott, Scott and Kip. I
- 6:48Speaker 1: think it was like episode three, and you're like, oh,
- 6:51Speaker 1: this is like, who's this couple? And it shows like
- 6:53Speaker 1: their love story and it's very different from Ilia and
- 6:56Speaker 1: Hollander's relationship, and I'm like, oh, this is fun. Maybe
- 6:59Speaker 1: we're going to start seeing like a different They're like
- 7:02Speaker 1: integrating them in some fun way. The entire show had
- 7:08Speaker 1: me in my feels the entire time, and it was
- 7:12Speaker 1: interesting to talk to other people about it because gay
- 7:16Speaker 1: men love it and women love it. And actually, the
- 7:20Speaker 1: actor who plays Hollander said, it's funny to me that
- 7:26Speaker 1: straight men talk about how they can't watch it because
- 7:31Speaker 1: of the man on man aspect. This is not verbatim
- 7:34Speaker 1: what he said, but when it's to women hooking up,
- 7:38Speaker 1: like everyone needs to watch it, and I think that
- 7:42Speaker 1: that's interesting too, because I sometimes wonder, I'm like, what
- 7:48Speaker 1: is that?
- 7:49Speaker 2: Like? Did it?
- 7:50Speaker 1: Does watching stuff like that make you uncomfortable? Not even
- 7:53Speaker 1: man on man, but like just people having sex and
- 7:57Speaker 1: it being that vivid right in front of you, or
- 7:59Speaker 1: can you see past it to the actual story. I know,
- 8:02Speaker 1: I'm asking you a very dumb question because you're an actor,
- 8:05Speaker 1: so of course you can see past it.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I mean, I've seen I wasn't. I was never shocked
- 8:10Speaker 2: by any of the sex scenes because I've had I've
- 8:13Speaker 2: seen one, I've had sex, I've made two babies, and
- 8:16Speaker 2: I've seen I've seen a bunch of different types of
- 8:20Speaker 2: sex throughout my career as an actor, and I've experienced
- 8:23Speaker 2: it right. I did it. I had a crazy sex
- 8:26Speaker 2: scene in Ray Donovan with Leev Streiber, and I've done
- 8:28Speaker 2: it in You and Aquarius and like, But I'm also
- 8:32Speaker 2: someone who's very ope. I feel really comfortable. I know
- 8:38Speaker 2: this sounds weird, and there's like a whole psychology thing
- 8:39Speaker 2: behind it. I feel really comfortable doing a sex scene,
- 8:43Speaker 2: sometimes more so than I do being intimate in my
- 8:46Speaker 2: own personal life. And I've had that's like a hurdle
- 8:48Speaker 2: that I've had to you know, overcome and understand and
- 8:51Speaker 2: like pill back the layers of why. But it wasn't uncomfortable.
- 8:57Speaker 2: It was and not only that, but it was shocked
- 9:00Speaker 2: so beautifully. It wasn't bright lights, it didn't make it
- 9:04Speaker 2: like cheesy, it wasn't performative. It was like this connection
- 9:08Speaker 2: and they when they were silhouetted and the let I
- 9:11Speaker 2: just it was done so so well and it was
- 9:14Speaker 2: so beautiful to see that. You know, people say like, oh,
- 9:20Speaker 2: they felt safe, and it's like no, like safety is
- 9:23Speaker 2: actually what kept them from not connecting, right. They had
- 9:27Speaker 2: to become unsafe in order to like come together and
- 9:30Speaker 2: feel this, like be vulnerable and open and like say
- 9:33Speaker 2: like I choose you, and I like I love you
- 9:36Speaker 2: for who you are. I don't know, it's just the
- 9:37Speaker 2: whole show. I literally probably cried three times throughout all
- 9:41Speaker 2: of it.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I have chills as you're talking about it. I don't
- 9:45Speaker 1: know what it was about that show that it was
- 9:47Speaker 1: like the characters and when Ilia is sitting on the
- 9:52Speaker 1: phone and he, you know, is upset about his family
- 9:55Speaker 1: and he never wants to come back to Russia, and
- 9:56Speaker 1: Hollander's like, why don't you tell me how you're feeling?
- 9:59Speaker 1: But in Russian? And that's like the first time that
- 10:02Speaker 1: we actually hear Ilia talk about how much he loves Hollander.
- 10:09Speaker 1: And I was like, this guy, who's like, are you crying?
- 10:13Speaker 2: I am, because that was one of the scenes that
- 10:15Speaker 2: I was like, I think that's what the world is
- 10:19Speaker 2: yearning for. It's like we don't need to speak the
- 10:22Speaker 2: same language. There's so much shit going on right in
- 10:26Speaker 2: all of different parts of the world. But just hearing
- 10:30Speaker 2: his tone and like he was in that tunnel and
- 10:33Speaker 2: was like, I think it was like pink, and they
- 10:35Speaker 2: kept on going back and forth. I was like, oh
- 10:37Speaker 2: my god, Yes, this is it, this is it.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Oh, they're comparing that to that episode specifically to Breaking Bad, which,
- 10:48Speaker 1: as we know, Breaking Bad is like critically acclaimed, and
- 10:51Speaker 1: they say some of those episodes are the best television
- 10:56Speaker 1: that's ever been created thus far. And so they they've
- 11:00Speaker 1: When I say they, I mean people who are TV
- 11:03Speaker 1: critics are saying that that is one of the tops
- 11:06Speaker 1: right now. And I felt the same way because there's
- 11:10Speaker 1: not much that moves me in TV. I'm very particular.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I tend to lean towards comedy or very very dark stuff,
- 11:19Speaker 1: and it just the whole thing. I want to give
- 11:23Speaker 1: it the respect that it deserves because it is. It
- 11:26Speaker 1: is more. I tell people, you have the first episode,
- 11:32Speaker 1: it has to be abrupt like that so that you
- 11:35Speaker 1: understand how this started. Like we've all been in a
- 11:38Speaker 1: situation where it starts as like we're just fucking and
- 11:44Speaker 1: then the feelings start coming into play, and then you
- 11:47Speaker 1: start understanding like what you want, who you are. So
- 11:51Speaker 1: that's another level that you know. Although I consider myself
- 11:54Speaker 1: an ally, I am not gay. I'm not a gay man,
- 12:00Speaker 1: so I don't know what that journey looks like. But
- 12:03Speaker 1: the way that they painted that picture that went from like,
- 12:07Speaker 1: you know, basically just fuck buddies for one person, the
- 12:10Speaker 1: bisexual man ilia to just this beautiful I mean, being
- 12:18Speaker 1: caught by the dad in the final episode and him
- 12:21Speaker 1: going and having to come out, and it's just like,
- 12:24Speaker 1: oh my god, this is the best shit I've ever
- 12:26Speaker 1: watched in my life.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Well, I think what's so beautiful, at least for me,
- 12:31Speaker 2: about that moment is that in those scenes and in life, right,
- 12:36Speaker 2: we're so used to being ready to embrace the rejection,
- 12:42Speaker 2: the shame as like the audience, we're like, oh my god,
- 12:44Speaker 2: this dad is going to fucking explode, and his son's
- 12:47Speaker 2: supposed to be this masculine, like he had this idea
- 12:49Speaker 2: of who his son was supposed to be, and it doesn't.
- 12:53Speaker 2: It Actually like the show allows you to go, oh,
- 12:57Speaker 2: that's the reaction that they want, that's the action that
- 13:00Speaker 2: we need to have. Like and I didn't know this
- 13:05Speaker 2: going in, but the show is so healing for me, right,
- 13:08Speaker 2: It just calmed my nervous system in a way that
- 13:10Speaker 2: I was not expecting like at all. I love hearing that,
- 13:13Speaker 2: and especially the scene with the mom when he comes
- 13:18Speaker 2: to the mom and he says and like she doesn't say,
- 13:21Speaker 2: like how dare you not be able to you know,
- 13:23Speaker 2: like she doesn't take it on her. She says to
- 13:26Speaker 2: him in such a kind way, and I don't know
- 13:29Speaker 2: exactly the exact lines, but she says, I'm sorry I
- 13:32Speaker 2: couldn't make you feel like you couldn't come to.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Me, I know on the on like this front steps,
- 13:39Speaker 1: I know.
- 13:39Speaker 2: And I was thinking for London and Riley. I always
- 13:43Speaker 2: want them to be able to come to me, like
- 13:45Speaker 2: no matter what. And I know there's gonna be some
- 13:47Speaker 2: things that they're not gonna want to tell me. But
- 13:48Speaker 2: like I as a mom, I don't care if my
- 13:52Speaker 2: kids come to me and say, mom, guess what, Like
- 13:55Speaker 2: I'm gay, and I think my kids know by now.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I would say, I love you, like you don't have
- 14:01Speaker 2: to be a half person. I want you to be
- 14:04Speaker 2: a whole person. Don't pretend that you're a straight person
- 14:07Speaker 2: out in the world and then you come home and
- 14:09Speaker 2: in your room you're gay or you're having these experiences
- 14:13Speaker 2: or feelings like just be who you are.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, and that's the number one thing I think
- 14:19Speaker 1: as a parent that I want to practice. I don't
- 14:22Speaker 1: want to put the pressure on my kids where it's like,
- 14:26Speaker 1: for example, you have to go to college, you have
- 14:29Speaker 1: to do this. It's like, do we need to honor commitments.
- 14:32Speaker 1: That's what we're working on right now, Ocean. You know,
- 14:35Speaker 1: she's started something and she's like, I don't want to
- 14:37Speaker 1: do it anymore. And I'm like, we got to fulfill
- 14:38Speaker 1: the commitment, and then once the commitment's over, we can reevaluate.
- 14:42Speaker 1: But I just want to be that safe space where
- 14:47Speaker 1: we know that no matter what, you can be your
- 14:51Speaker 1: authentic self here and the pressure of the world is
- 14:54Speaker 1: gone and you don't have to feel the weight of
- 14:56Speaker 1: the world on your shoulders like at home. You can
- 14:59Speaker 1: just be you know.
- 15:03Speaker 2: I'm learning that now.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Yeah right, I'm like, what can I do because I
- 15:08Speaker 1: feel like my mom was does not. I think we're
- 15:12Speaker 1: just born with a certain mind and even though you
- 15:15Speaker 1: grow up in you know, a home, because my mom
- 15:18Speaker 1: is very much like you don't want to do that,
- 15:19Speaker 1: don't do it, Like, just live life, have fun. I
- 15:22Speaker 1: worked at a dental office because I only had to
- 15:24Speaker 1: work three days a week, like that's her mindset, Like
- 15:27Speaker 1: I wanted to enjoy life, but you we just give
- 15:31Speaker 1: birth to certain minds and they go out into the
- 15:35Speaker 1: world and sometimes we have a tremendous impact on them,
- 15:38Speaker 1: and sometimes we don't. There are things we don't have
- 15:40Speaker 1: control over. So I think you and I are very
- 15:43Speaker 1: much on the same page. And watching that, I felt
- 15:45Speaker 1: the exact same way, and it was I and I
- 15:51Speaker 1: shouldn't compare the two at all, but it's the only
- 15:54Speaker 1: other show that has like same sex, but it's girl
- 15:59Speaker 1: on girl action with Brittany is it Britney Snow? Britney
- 16:04Speaker 1: Snow and people I would not stop hearing about hunting
- 16:08Speaker 1: wives like with everybody. It felt like and I have
- 16:13Speaker 1: to say, I could not get through it. It was
- 16:15Speaker 1: so triggering for me. Amber why, I don't know, watching
- 16:21Speaker 1: the way that some of those the people on the show,
- 16:26Speaker 1: like the guy who was running for governor and his
- 16:28Speaker 1: wife and I what's the actress's name? They had to
- 16:31Speaker 1: put her in a red wig, oh Malin Ackerman. So
- 16:35Speaker 1: by the way, I love her, She's a great actress.
- 16:38Speaker 1: But watching it and the amount of dishonesty and what
- 16:42Speaker 1: they would go to to cover shit up just feels
- 16:46Speaker 1: a little too familiar to me. Really, mm hmm.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Can you elaborate, because now I kind of want it.
- 16:52Speaker 2: That's like you know what I'm talking about? No, you will,
- 16:55Speaker 2: You just dangled the carrot. But I want to know
- 16:58Speaker 2: can I peek inside just little bit more so I
- 17:00Speaker 2: could go, oh, you know, to see if we have
- 17:02Speaker 2: the same experience experiences that I have had with somebody.
- 17:09Speaker 2: The length that they would go to to make sure
- 17:14Speaker 2: the truth was not revealed. It was triggering to me
- 17:20Speaker 2: to watch that and watch Britney Snow's character be like
- 17:24Speaker 2: what the fuck? Like, I feel like I'm going insane.
- 17:28Speaker 2: It took me to a place where I'm like, this
- 17:31Speaker 2: feels very familiar.
- 17:34Speaker 1: To me, and I know what you're talking to get
- 17:36Speaker 1: it like it. But like I always say, the truth
- 17:39Speaker 1: always is revealed, whether it's five minutes from now, five
- 17:43Speaker 1: years from now. So there's that I'm interested to hear
- 17:55Speaker 1: how you feel about this. Britney Snow's characters spiral. It
- 18:00Speaker 1: drove me fucking crazy that she had hit rock bottom
- 18:05Speaker 1: and killed somebody, and granted she had something horrendous happened
- 18:10Speaker 1: to her right like just gut wrenching what she went
- 18:12Speaker 1: through with the loss of the baby, and then she
- 18:14Speaker 1: started drinking and spiraling, and then she was drinking and
- 18:17Speaker 1: driving gets sober. The fact that she started like drinking again,
- 18:23Speaker 1: and every time I would see her look at her
- 18:26Speaker 1: phone and be like, yeah, I can stay a little longer,
- 18:28Speaker 1: and the husband's texting her, I was like, go home,
- 18:33Speaker 1: like what are you doing? It tricked with me. I
- 18:36Speaker 1: didn't like it.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I loved Hunting Wives. First of all, I loved it.
- 18:42Speaker 2: I thought it was so it's so different than the
- 18:46Speaker 2: other show. It's like Hunting Wives is is seduction and secrecy,
- 18:52Speaker 2: and then Heated Briberly is like uplifting, uplifting and honest.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I really love that, right, It's honest, it's connection. It's
- 19:02Speaker 2: but Hunting Wives. At first I was like no. And
- 19:06Speaker 2: the only reason why I watched it is because I'm
- 19:07Speaker 2: friends with Mollin and I'm friends with Jamie Newman, who
- 19:10Speaker 2: are are both phenomenal actresses that I learned too.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Don't tell them to listen to this episode.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Okay, well Jamie, don't listen to this. And No, there
- 19:21Speaker 2: was something that really captivated me. I'm the kind of
- 19:25Speaker 2: person where the pilot really needs to be off the charts,
- 19:28Speaker 2: and I didn't feel that way about either one of
- 19:31Speaker 2: these shows, but I stayed long enough to be drawn
- 19:36Speaker 2: in and understand, like from a storytelling perspective, what the
- 19:41Speaker 2: writers and creator was trying to do with the show
- 19:44Speaker 2: Hunting Wives was so fucking hot to me. I was like,
- 19:50Speaker 2: holy shit. But there were times where I was like
- 19:53Speaker 2: on the edge and I felt like it.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I was like, you need to sleep with a woman.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Do you think I'm no, I don't.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I believe in labels, okay, unless you want them. Like
- 20:03Speaker 1: for me, I've hooked up with chicks before. I don't
- 20:05Speaker 1: consider myself to be bisexual. Someone may look at me
- 20:09Speaker 1: and be like, you've been sexually attracted to women before,
- 20:12Speaker 1: you're bisexual? Great, whatever. I don't believe in the label.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I don't think. But if you're getting turned on, but like,
- 20:18Speaker 1: maybe you need to have a female experience, I don't know.
- 20:21Speaker 2: It wasn't that I was getting turned on, Okay, it
- 20:24Speaker 2: was the connection I really value and something that I
- 20:29Speaker 2: haven't had is real intimate connection.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Where was there an intimate connection in Hunting Wives?
- 20:36Speaker 2: I mean, first of all, when they had sex in
- 20:38Speaker 2: the closet, when she kisses her for the first time
- 20:40Speaker 2: when she's going to look for her gun. Right, Yeah,
- 20:42Speaker 2: but that's because that the redhead with the wig Malin Ackerman.
- 20:47Speaker 1: She talked about it in an interview that they tried
- 20:49Speaker 1: to get her a good wig and it didn't come
- 20:51Speaker 1: in time.
- 20:51Speaker 2: They were terrible, But I wasn't bad though.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Because she's such a great actress. I didn't even notice
- 20:58Speaker 1: what was on her head. I saw the interview and
- 21:00Speaker 1: was like, oh, you're right, the wig is funky, but
- 21:03Speaker 1: like I didn't notice because she is a phenomenal actress
- 21:06Speaker 1: so much so, and same with Britney Snow that I
- 21:08Speaker 1: was triggered by the show and everyone else is like
- 21:13Speaker 1: triggered why.
- 21:14Speaker 3: I'm like, it's so dark. It's taking me back to
- 21:17Speaker 3: places I don't want to go.
- 21:19Speaker 2: But I that's like my that's my jam. I love
- 21:22Speaker 2: really dark shit when it comes to storytelling, except for
- 21:27Speaker 2: The Pit. I've been watching The Pit lately with Riley,
- 21:29Speaker 2: and that's more like I'm like, oh, I can't watch them,
- 21:31Speaker 2: like cut open the guy's leg.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Right, they had a lot of I think they won
- 21:35Speaker 1: like quite a few awards this season, right, I think
- 21:38Speaker 1: I go season?
- 21:39Speaker 2: They did? They did, so I turned it on for Riley,
- 21:42Speaker 2: and I was like, oh, this is a nice family
- 21:43Speaker 2: show to watch before bedtime. Not so much, but now
- 21:46Speaker 2: we're both addicted to it. But yeah, I mean it's
- 21:49Speaker 2: both of the shows are great. I'm so happy that
- 21:52Speaker 2: I got through both of them.
- 21:53Speaker 1: You don't need to have a female experience. Let's round
- 21:56Speaker 1: that thought out.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Yeah, no it's not. It's not for me. And now
- 22:02Speaker 2: that I'm sober, I definitely don't. I would, I don't,
- 22:05Speaker 2: I couldn't. I don't think I would need a little lube.
- 22:08Speaker 3: You don't want these fingers touching you. This is what
- 22:11Speaker 3: giving up the vape looks like. How's the vape going yet?
- 22:15Speaker 1: Not good? Bitch? Oh wait that yes this finger I
- 22:20Speaker 1: peeled it off because I'm tweaking.
- 22:22Speaker 2: But let me tell you something. Wait on pause for
- 22:23Speaker 2: a second. I am really proud of you. That's a
- 22:25Speaker 2: big deal, and that's a really hard thing to kick.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Well, thank you. Yeah, it will get easier. The new
- 22:32Speaker 1: boobs will be worth it. It is important to note
- 22:35Speaker 1: I have never hooked up with a female sober either, hmm,
- 22:40Speaker 1: which doesn't tell me much because I even went into
- 22:43Speaker 1: panic cooking up with a man sober. So I'm like
- 22:46Speaker 1: who knows. Maybe I just need to get back on
- 22:49Speaker 1: all the horses.
- 22:50Speaker 2: We'll see listen. It's never too late, It's.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Never too late. And yes, I did find Hunting Wives
- 22:58Speaker 1: is definitely sexy. Maybe if I watch it at a
- 23:01Speaker 1: later date. There's obviously they're in such different categories. I
- 23:06Speaker 1: just found it interesting that so many people are I
- 23:10Speaker 1: live in an LA bubble where everything's kind of you know,
- 23:14Speaker 1: you've lived here. It's like, yeah, we're free and we're accepting.
- 23:18Speaker 1: But the rest of the world is not lost on
- 23:20Speaker 1: me that it's not like that. And I just was like,
- 23:23Speaker 1: it's so interesting that I hear about how fantastic Hunting
- 23:27Speaker 1: Wives is, and I've heard about heated rivalry from the
- 23:30Speaker 1: gay community and gay community only until of course I
- 23:35Speaker 1: look it up and then obviously it's getting all of
- 23:38Speaker 1: this praise. But a lot of the interviews talked about
- 23:43Speaker 1: how there's a lot of people who still are not
- 23:46Speaker 1: not ready, and I think looking past the sexual aspect
- 23:51Speaker 1: and looking at like the intimacy, because we've all experienced
- 23:55Speaker 1: that is the name of the game. Though I can't
- 24:01Speaker 1: really I can't relate to a gay man. There were
- 24:04Speaker 1: moments that I was like gosh, I know that feeling
- 24:06Speaker 1: of like wanting somebody so bad yea, and to them
- 24:09Speaker 1: it's like just sex and then the moment that they're
- 24:11Speaker 1: like I love you, and it's like, oh my gosh,
- 24:14Speaker 1: this is the best of my life.
- 24:16Speaker 2: I know. I was like watching it. I was like,
- 24:18Speaker 2: there's so much that I could take as a straight woman,
- 24:20Speaker 2: like bringing into a relationship and having that intimate moment
- 24:23Speaker 2: like I want like I said, I want someone that's
- 24:26Speaker 2: open and vulnerable. One minute it was just and by
- 24:28Speaker 2: the way, like the shower scene when they're both checking
- 24:31Speaker 2: each other out, these guys are freaking hot, Like I
- 24:35Speaker 2: was like.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Damn, I know, they're so good freaking hot, And so
- 24:41Speaker 1: that also helped. We have to wait until twenty twenty
- 24:45Speaker 1: seven for a new season, but lucky for you, you
- 24:48Speaker 1: Hunting Wives fan twenty twenty six.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Yeah, baby, oh, I'm so excited to see my.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Girls try to finish the first season.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Oh finish, don't worry. God.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I love talking shows with you because you've been like
- 25:10Speaker 1: in it, like you're a viewer. You watch scripted television
- 25:15Speaker 1: the way I probably watch reality TV, Like I know
- 25:18Speaker 1: how the sausage is made, so I have I view
- 25:24Speaker 1: it differently. I view it as like someone who's in it,
- 25:27Speaker 1: but also you just know like what goes into making
- 25:32Speaker 1: something really great.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Yeah, those sex scenes felt so real and I felt
- 25:37Speaker 2: like a fly on the wall. And again like the
- 25:40Speaker 2: way they were shot, they weren't like over the top. Oh,
- 25:43Speaker 2: they were just so good. But yes, I find myself
- 25:46Speaker 2: and this is a real problem and I have to
- 25:48Speaker 2: like say and stop it, like, just enjoy what you're
- 25:52Speaker 2: like the story of it. Yeah, I find myself looking
- 25:56Speaker 2: at like, oh, that was a good camera angle. Oh
- 25:57Speaker 2: the lighting is really good. Oh that was a good choice.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Oh look at that. You know something in the background,
- 26:01Speaker 2: like I really far.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Sometimes you you're a little too you know how the
- 26:05Speaker 1: sausage is made a little too much.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I dissect it and I have to like pull
- 26:09Speaker 2: back and go no, just enjoy what you're watching, enjoy
- 26:12Speaker 2: the process and the storytelling of it.
- 26:14Speaker 1: So, yeah, your hair looks really good today. Do you
- 26:16Speaker 1: have clippins?
- 26:17Speaker 2: I did you know? I woke up this morning I said,
- 26:20Speaker 2: I want to be a mermaid.
- 26:21Speaker 1: It's so long.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's what is that?
- 26:24Speaker 1: Like your natural length, and it's the clippins are just
- 26:27Speaker 1: for fullness.
- 26:29Speaker 2: No, my hair's like right, I don't know, maybe above
- 26:32Speaker 2: my nipples a little bit.
- 26:33Speaker 1: It looks so good.
- 26:35Speaker 2: But I put them in because I wanted link today.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I love it. What's on the schedule the rest of
- 26:41Speaker 1: the day.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Oh, it's snowed, which is so rare, so I have
- 26:45Speaker 2: to I have to see if I actually have to
- 26:47Speaker 2: get my snow plower out. So I'm going to go
- 26:49Speaker 2: out there with my extensions and my boots and plow
- 26:53Speaker 2: plow my driveway.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Get some content.
- 26:56Speaker 2: I'm going to plow that, plow that driveway. That's like, yeah,
- 27:01Speaker 2: I'm gonna go get my boobs looked at. Because before
- 27:04Speaker 2: I get my boob job, I have to do a
- 27:06Speaker 2: panel of blood work, and then they have to make
- 27:08Speaker 2: sure I'm doing the ultrasound to make sure there's nothing
- 27:12Speaker 2: in there that shouldn't be. Oh good, okay, well let
- 27:15Speaker 2: me know how that goes. I actually have the CO
- 27:17Speaker 2: two fate, Like started doing a CO two facial yesterday.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Do you see the spots?
- 27:20Speaker 1: Oh? You ended up doing it.
- 27:22Speaker 2: I did a spot treatment. I didn't do the whole thing,
- 27:24Speaker 2: so she just did my dark spots.
- 27:26Speaker 1: You don't even have those. We need to talk before
- 27:30Speaker 1: you do shit. Because I think you make things up
- 27:32Speaker 1: in your brain.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Well, of course I make things up in my brain.
- 27:35Speaker 1: You have the most gorgeous skin and the best jawline ever.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Well, thank you, but no I do. I do have
- 27:42Speaker 2: some and cancer runs very skin. Cancer runs very deep
- 27:45Speaker 2: in my family. So I'm highly paranoid about sun spots.
- 27:50Speaker 2: And then she did, like the chest, she did a
- 27:53Speaker 2: chest like to test it. Right, like a lot of
- 27:55Speaker 2: my sun damages up. I wore my neck and my
- 27:58Speaker 2: what is his phone called your clollor call her? Where's
- 28:01Speaker 2: your clapical?
- 28:02Speaker 1: Oh no, I don't know. We don't even know what
- 28:03Speaker 1: fash is.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Anyway, she did a test spot. I'm really happy. I
- 28:09Speaker 2: want to see how how it looks. And it's the winter.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but keep the listeners updated. They love like little
- 28:15Speaker 1: tips and tricks.
- 28:16Speaker 2: No, I'm going to That's why I actually took before
- 28:19Speaker 2: and after pictures and I took some video while I
- 28:20Speaker 2: was there, and then when I come back, then I
- 28:23Speaker 2: could really peel, you know, my face off with this laser.
- 28:26Speaker 2: I know it's probably an addiction. I probably have an
- 28:29Speaker 2: addiction that I haven't addressed.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Hey, better that than the booze baby, Better that than
- 28:33Speaker 1: the booze.
- 28:34Speaker 2: I know my sister did have me pour her a
- 28:36Speaker 2: glass of wine last night because she had the baby upstairs.
- 28:40Speaker 2: I didn't like put the cup up to me, but
- 28:42Speaker 2: as I was pouring it, I did smell it, and
- 28:44Speaker 2: I was like, oh fuck, this smells so good. I
- 28:49Speaker 2: know I missed wine. The smell of wine is so
- 28:52Speaker 2: good for me.
- 28:55Speaker 1: But but to me, she's a woman that goes to
- 28:59Speaker 1: this day I'm not gonna older or the deli, but
- 29:05Speaker 1: she gets I've seen her multiple times. She sits in
- 29:07Speaker 1: the same booth, orders a plate of cheese fries and
- 29:10Speaker 1: drinks some martini and I'm like, Okay, that woman is
- 29:14Speaker 1: living the dream. And she always has a headscarf on
- 29:16Speaker 1: and wears her sunglasses and she's so fabulous. Stop it's
- 29:21Speaker 1: gonna be us. I can't wait.
- 29:27Speaker 2: It's gonna be US, Italy or somewhere. I don't want
- 29:32Speaker 2: to be like at Whole Foods in Sherman Oaks. That's
- 29:34Speaker 2: like not like, all right, don't be fucking rude. I
- 29:37Speaker 2: go to that Whole Foods, bitch, Listen, I don't. I don't.
- 29:41Speaker 2: I love Whole Foods. But when I'm older, if I'm
- 29:44Speaker 2: going to be doing that.
- 29:45Speaker 1: I want to be in. We'll be on a yacht,
- 29:47Speaker 1: bro obviously, Okay.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Well, yeah, my yacht will be parked and I'll just
- 29:51Speaker 2: be getting off the yacht to go to my favorite
- 29:52Speaker 2: spot and get back on the yacht and sail away
- 29:54Speaker 2: with you.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Yeah, and there's no drinking problem on the yacht for all.
- 30:00Speaker 2: As long as we have our floaties on, we'll be fine.
- 30:03Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. I'm not encouraging a relapse.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, thanks for tuning into another amazing episode of
- 30:08Speaker 2: an unlikely affair, and let us know your thoughts. I
- 30:12Speaker 2: want to hear everyone's opinion on heated rivalry, right, It's
- 30:15Speaker 2: so funny that word is so rivalry rivalry versus Hunting Wives. Yeah,
- 30:22Speaker 2: I know English, I know one has nothing to do
- 30:24Speaker 2: with the other. But I'm telling you Hunting Wives was
- 30:27Speaker 2: like everyone, it's the press show on television.
- 30:30Speaker 1: I'm like, all right, everyone fucking calmed down anyway. I
- 30:33Speaker 1: love you and I love you guys. Thanks for listening.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Amber hit me up later if you're bored.
- 30:38Speaker 2: All right, piece out, peacey, guys. Hye, guys,
