- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherri Mackey, and it's time for us to
- 0:03Speaker 1: go to God in prayer. And as always, I invite
- 0:05Speaker 1: you to join along with me in prayer. And I
- 0:08Speaker 1: don't want us to allow our past to limit our future.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come
- 0:15Speaker 1: before you today asking you to break every chain that
- 0:18Speaker 1: has kept us bound to our past. Lord, don't let
- 0:21Speaker 1: our past limit our future. Don't let yesterday's mistakes, yesterday's disappointments,
- 0:27Speaker 1: yesterday's heartbreaks, yesterday's failures, or missed opportunities determine what we
- 0:32Speaker 1: believe is possible.
- 0:34Speaker 2: For our tomorrow.
- 0:36Speaker 1: To spend the rest of our lives punishing ourselves for
- 0:39Speaker 1: things you've already forgiven us for. We refuse to keep
- 0:42Speaker 1: replaying old conversations, regretting old decisions, and carrying shame over
- 0:47Speaker 1: seasons that you've already brought us through. Your word declares
- 0:51Speaker 1: in Isaiah 43, 18 through 19, that we should not
- 0:55Speaker 1: dwell on the forward things because you are doing a
- 0:58Speaker 1: new thing.
- 0:59Speaker 2: So Lord, open our eyes to the new things.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Help us to recognize that our history is a part
- 1:04Speaker 1: of our story, but it does not have to dictate
- 1:07Speaker 1: our destiny.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Come on, Jesus. We are not who we used to be.
- 1:12Speaker 2: We've grown, God. We've matured. We've learned.
- 1:14Speaker 1: We've survived things that we thought we never could survive.
- 1:18Speaker 1: And by your grace, God, we're still standing. So, Father,
- 1:21Speaker 1: don't let us be limited by the fear of failure.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Deliver us from the fear of trying and not succeeding.
- 1:28Speaker 1: The fear of stepping out and being criticized, the fear
- 1:30Speaker 1: of starting over, and the fear of looking foolish while
- 1:33Speaker 1: we're learning something new. Oh, God, remind us that failure
- 1:36Speaker 1: is not the end of our story. Sometimes the greatest
- 1:39Speaker 1: lessons come from the very experiences we wish we had.
- 1:43Speaker 2: We could erase.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So Lord, don't let us be intimidated by what we
- 1:47Speaker 1: don't have right now. Just because we don't have the money,
- 1:50Speaker 1: the connections, the resources, the experience or the support we
- 1:54Speaker 1: think we need.
- 1:55Speaker 2: It doesn't mean that we cannot begin.
- 1:58Speaker 1: So help us to stop focusing on what's missing and start.
- 2:01Speaker 1: being faithful with what's already in our hands. Oh, Moses
- 2:04Speaker 1: had a staff. David had a sling. The widow had
- 2:07Speaker 1: a little oil. And Father, if you can use.
- 2:10Speaker 2: What they had, you can use what we have. Come on, Jesus.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Give us the courage to apply for the opportunity, to
- 2:16Speaker 1: launch the business, to write the book, to pursue the dream,
- 2:19Speaker 1: to walk into the room and embrace the assignment that
- 2:22Speaker 1: you placed on our hearts. Help us to stop disqualifying
- 2:26Speaker 1: ourselves from the things that you may be calling us to.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Your word says in Philippians 4.13 that we can do
- 2:31Speaker 1: all things through Christ who strengthens us so we will
- 2:34Speaker 1: not shrink back.
- 2:35Speaker 2: We will not allow fear to make.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Our decisions and we will not allow our present circumstance
- 2:40Speaker 1: to convince us that our future is limited. Oh, Father God,
- 2:43Speaker 1: we stretch our faith.
- 2:44Speaker 2: We stretch. our confidence.
- 2:46Speaker 1: We sharpen our discernment and we trust you to order
- 2:49Speaker 1: our steps. Give us the courage to move before we
- 2:52Speaker 1: have every answer and the wisdom to trust you through
- 2:55Speaker 1: every unfamiliar season. Our past will not imprison us. Our
- 2:59Speaker 1: fear will not paralyze us. Our lack will not define
- 3:03Speaker 1: us and our mistakes will not have the final word.
- 3:06Speaker 2: So, Lord, we're moving forward.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Not because we have everything figured out, but because we
- 3:10Speaker 1: trust the.
- 3:11Speaker 2: One who holds our future.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Today, we declare we will not let our past dictate
- 3:15Speaker 1: our future. Fear steal our courage or what we lack.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Stop us from taking the next steps. God, we acknowledge
- 3:22Speaker 1: that you are still working on us, working through us,
- 3:25Speaker 1: and preparing us for what's ahead in Jesus' name.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Amen, amen, and amen.
