- 0:00SPEAKER_06: Welcome to Live Your Legacy, where every story holds a turning point.
- 0:08SPEAKER_06: And every turning point holds the power of legacy.
- 0:13SPEAKER_02: Grace and greetings.
- 0:14SPEAKER_02: Welcome to Live Your Legacy, a Missy Graham production, the conversational podcast where we explore how life's defining moments shape the legacy we leave behind.
- 0:25SPEAKER_02: I'm your host, Patricia D.
- 0:26SPEAKER_02: Freudenberg, also known as Patty from New York, and I am the founder and CEO of Mr.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: Gram.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: And as a grief consultant, my area of focus is legacy, empowering you from grief to a life to be remembered.
- 0:40SPEAKER_02: And this show is rooted in one simple truth: grief is not always about death.
- 0:44SPEAKER_02: Sometimes it comes through life's changes, losses, detours, and new beginnings.
- 0:49SPEAKER_02: And here we speak with entrepreneurs, authors, leaders, and creators who have turned their life-defining moments into meaningful work and lasting contributions because legacy is not only what we leave behind, it's what we are shaping right now through vision, impact, and purpose.
- 1:07SPEAKER_02: And today I am honored to welcome our special guest, Ramon Ray, is a motivational keynote speaker, event host, a small business champion who has built over five businesses, sold three of them, and authored five books.
- 1:22SPEAKER_02: And while staying relentlessly, unapologetically positive, known for his high-energy presence and practical wisdom, he speaks at some of the world's most impactful events and helps entrepreneurs cut through the noise to build a business that actually works.
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: It's my honor again to welcome Ramon Ray.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: Thank you for being on Live Your Legacy.
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: And where are you coming in from, my friend?
- 1:49SPEAKER_05: Hey Patty, thanks for having me here.
- 1:51SPEAKER_05: It's great to be on your platform, Live Your Legacy.
- 1:53SPEAKER_05: Thank you, Patty, for the work you've done for so much to really help people do this.
- 1:58SPEAKER_05: Live your legacy.
- 2:00SPEAKER_05: Thanks for helping people overcome their grief and just all the work you do and the heart you have for service is next level.
- 2:06SPEAKER_05: So thank you, Patty.
- 2:07SPEAKER_05: And I live in the vacation capital of the world.
- 2:12SPEAKER_05: So thank you for that.
- 2:13SPEAKER_02: Which is some people don't know what everybody knows, Patty.
- 2:16SPEAKER_05: Everybody knows.
- 2:17SPEAKER_05: That's obvious.
- 2:17SPEAKER_05: All right.
- 2:18SPEAKER_05: It's New Jersey.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: All right, all right.
- 2:20SPEAKER_02: That's my that's our brother and sister right there next to New York, New Jersey.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: All right, we like to get right into it, Ramon.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: We like to get right into it.
- 2:27SPEAKER_02: So get your scuba gear, get your scuba gear on, folks, as we go into our first question.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: Would you agree or disagree that hindsight is always 2020 and why?
- 2:42SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I think the principle of hindsight being 2020, hindsight being perfect, I think that's pretty much always right.
- 2:48SPEAKER_05: You have a football game, everybody says, Oh, we should have done that.
- 2:51SPEAKER_05: That's because you saw the replay and you knew that the coach or the referee was going to do this, that, the other.
- 2:56SPEAKER_05: So I think so.
- 2:57SPEAKER_05: I think that hindsight, yeah, unless it's a trick questionnaire, the spirit of the spirit of the question, I think it's always 2020.
- 3:04SPEAKER_05: And that's why risk is important because we don't know the future.
- 3:07SPEAKER_05: So you got to sometimes take a step forward to learn to test, right?
- 3:11SPEAKER_05: They say when you go across ice and all those things, I've never done it, but you test first because you don't have 2020.
- 3:16SPEAKER_05: That's the best we can do.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: I love that you associated it with risk because if you remember when you're about to take risk, that hindsight's always there on the other side.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: We never heard it that way.
- 3:28SPEAKER_02: So I appreciate that.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: And that's what makes the show so much fun.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: Every answer is unique, like a fingerprint.
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: Can you take us back now for a moment to share with us a pivotal moment that changed the direction of your life or work or both?
- 3:43SPEAKER_05: Sure, yeah.
- 3:43SPEAKER_05: I'm sure I've had a lot of small pivotal moments, Patty.
- 3:46SPEAKER_05: I'm sure we all have, but I think one, probably maybe the biggest that I can think of, because I don't know if I would be here talking today, was when I got fired from the United Nations and it wasn't literally fired, but I was working at the United Nations.
- 3:57SPEAKER_05: I had permission to have a side gig, a side hustle at the United Nations and many civil service jobs, having a side gig, side hustle.
- 4:04SPEAKER_05: It's really a no-no, or you have to get permission.
- 4:06SPEAKER_05: When you work for the government, post office, things like this.
- 4:08SPEAKER_05: They don't want you making money on the side.
- 4:10SPEAKER_05: So I had a side gig and I had permission.
- 4:12SPEAKER_05: That's how you go through it.
- 4:13SPEAKER_05: You get your supervisor to get permission.
- 4:15SPEAKER_05: But then I had a jealous coworker.
- 4:16SPEAKER_05: That permission was revoked.
- 4:18SPEAKER_05: But Patty, what am I going to do?
- 4:19SPEAKER_05: I had a taste of the apple, I had a taste of entrepreneurship.
- 4:22SPEAKER_05: I would, I had a taste of business.
- 4:25SPEAKER_05: And they said, Ramon, you are no longer working in the United Nations.
- 4:28SPEAKER_05: We're a single-income family, Patty.
- 4:30SPEAKER_05: It's just me bringing in, paying rent.
- 4:32SPEAKER_05: I had two small kids.
- 4:34SPEAKER_05: I had to make it happen.
- 4:35SPEAKER_05: So all the stuff I was doing kind of for free, just showing up.
- 4:39SPEAKER_05: That day I remember was like I had called clients.
- 4:42SPEAKER_05: I put my quotes because previous, it was just this is cool.
- 4:45SPEAKER_05: But then I had to say the next time, hey, can you come here and speak?
- 4:47SPEAKER_05: Yes, I can.
- 4:48SPEAKER_05: My fee is Ramon.
- 4:50SPEAKER_05: Can I pick your brain?
- 4:51SPEAKER_05: Absolutely.
- 4:53SPEAKER_05: My fee is I had to bring in money for my family.
- 4:56SPEAKER_05: So I think being fired from the United Nations was one very pivotal moment.
- 4:59SPEAKER_05: Another pivotal moment was when I had my first child.
- 5:02SPEAKER_05: Didn't know my first child that I was gonna have a first child, and I was but young myself.
- 5:08SPEAKER_05: So that was a pivotal moment.
- 5:10SPEAKER_05: Oh, okay, this is happening.
- 5:13SPEAKER_05: And of course, and that's life-changing.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: And to the question, to the point of the question is that that's life-changing pivotal moments.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: And when I ask these questions in a lifespan, of course, there's many, but there's always those that are always at the top.
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: There's always those that are at the top until another one comes that might get to the number one.
- 5:32SPEAKER_02: But thank you for sharing that.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: And in answering that question, you might have answered already this next question.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: However, we want to go a little deeper.
- 5:39SPEAKER_02: What challenge would you say was a blessing in disguise?
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: And explain to us why.
- 5:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I think that was it.
- 5:46SPEAKER_05: I think that one challenge of just that was one blessing in disguise.
- 5:49SPEAKER_05: And that's more a pivotal moment, so I can have answered a different question.
- 5:52SPEAKER_05: But I think the blessing was who I am today.
- 5:54SPEAKER_05: I must say, sitting here speaking to you, Patty, some days I do wish I had a job.
- 5:58SPEAKER_05: The struggle in this season of getting the money I want, having the consistency of revenue, it's a bit tough some days.
- 6:05SPEAKER_05: Some days I wish I worked from Microsoft, I worked from MasterCard, I worked for the BMW dealership.
- 6:12SPEAKER_05: Get a steady check.
- 6:13SPEAKER_05: But I think what's a blessing in disguise.
- 6:15SPEAKER_05: I think of so many things I can mention.
- 6:17SPEAKER_05: One I'll think about, I had the opportunity to have my show called The Rundown with Ramone hosted on USA Today Network.
- 6:23SPEAKER_05: So happens, Patty, I did the show.
- 6:26SPEAKER_05: I thought Oprah was gonna call me.
- 6:28SPEAKER_05: I thought the sun was gonna come out, I'd be the next Tyler Perry.
- 6:33SPEAKER_05: Patty, nothing happened.
- 6:35SPEAKER_05: I did that show for a year, zip, diddly squat.
- 6:38SPEAKER_05: Now it was good for my ego, good for my brand, and it was good.
- 6:42SPEAKER_05: But the blessing happened like the karate kid, wax on, wax off.
- 6:46SPEAKER_05: I don't remember what it was, but we know that thing.
- 6:49SPEAKER_05: Me doing that every day, Monday through Friday for a year, it got me the discipline of live show production.
- 6:56SPEAKER_05: So even though my brand didn't blow up like I thought, just doing hey everybody, good morning.
- 7:01SPEAKER_05: This is the rundown with Ramon Joe.
- 7:03SPEAKER_05: Welcome to a brand new day.
- 7:05SPEAKER_05: Me doing that every day for a year, it put the reps in to do live show production, so it was a blessing in disguise.
- 7:13SPEAKER_02: Wow, that's a great point.
- 7:16SPEAKER_02: And I think that's something really important to just recap one more time because we hear this all the time, right?
- 7:22SPEAKER_02: The cliche practice makes better.
- 7:24SPEAKER_02: That right here, living proof, it's truth.
- 7:27SPEAKER_02: There's truth to that.
- 7:29SPEAKER_02: Practice does make better, and when we practice enough, the effort turns into excellence, which you are excellent at your show.
- 7:35SPEAKER_02: All kidding aside, I'm a fan.
- 7:37SPEAKER_02: You know, I chime in 7 a.m.
- 7:39SPEAKER_02: Eastern Time.
- 7:40SPEAKER_02: Check them out on YouTube, a little plug there, but we'll go back to that in a little bit.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: You have your own show.
- 7:44SPEAKER_02: We'll go back to that.
- 7:45SPEAKER_02: We're not that's right, that's right, and that's awesome too.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: And we could talk about that for another three hours.
- 7:50SPEAKER_02: But who has been the most memorable mentor in your life?
- 7:53SPEAKER_02: And again, not an easy question, maybe not just one, but let us know who is at the top of your mind and why.
- 7:59SPEAKER_05: Yeah, the immediately the two people I say all the time, notwithstanding people you meet in recent times and mentors, metaphorically, Patty's is a mentor to me in some ways, how she keeps showing up.
- 8:11SPEAKER_05: So we all have those types of mentors, but two people in my life.
- 8:14SPEAKER_05: One is Mr.
- 8:16SPEAKER_05: S.
- 8:16SPEAKER_05: Chidambaranathan, an Indian gentleman.
- 8:19SPEAKER_05: He doesn't even have a first name, he just made up the S to satisfy the U.S.
- 8:23SPEAKER_05: government immigration.
- 8:24SPEAKER_05: But S.
- 8:24SPEAKER_05: Chidambaranathan, he doesn't have a doesn't have a first, he has a first initial gentleman in the UN.
- 8:29SPEAKER_05: He's the one who just taught me, as it were, imparted to me, impressed in me when his beautiful, lovely Indian accent, Ramon, you're angry right now.
- 8:39SPEAKER_05: You're angry.
- 8:41SPEAKER_05: Don't write the email, don't hit send.
- 8:44SPEAKER_05: Wait until you're not angry, wait till tomorrow.
- 8:47SPEAKER_05: Just that beautiful, he was an older man, about 70 or so.
- 8:51SPEAKER_05: I'd spend Patty hours in his office, and he would just mentor me and help me and guide me as a young man that I needed during that time, and also some of the frustrations at the UN.
- 9:01SPEAKER_05: He was simple things.
- 9:02SPEAKER_05: Hey, Ramon, there's a meeting happening.
- 9:04SPEAKER_05: Why aren't you taking notes?
- 9:05SPEAKER_05: Sorry, Mr.
- 9:06SPEAKER_05: Nathan.
- 9:06SPEAKER_05: That's right.
- 9:07SPEAKER_05: I should have a pen and take notes.
- 9:08SPEAKER_05: I didn't think of it.
- 9:09SPEAKER_05: He taught me that.
- 9:10SPEAKER_05: He taught me the things of Ramon, all kinds of things.
- 9:13SPEAKER_05: He taught me even when you're talking to executive leaders, how to get them to have buy-in.
- 9:18SPEAKER_05: We have AI for that today.
- 9:19SPEAKER_05: So that's one, Mr.
- 9:20SPEAKER_05: Cheatambat and Afthan.
- 9:21SPEAKER_05: The second person, Patty, would be Yaakov Rocharinsky.
- 9:25SPEAKER_05: He's in New York City.
- 9:26SPEAKER_05: He's a two-time entrepreneur.
- 9:28SPEAKER_05: When I was at the UN, he's one of the people I would spend with hours a month, and he'd show me the art of business.
- 9:35SPEAKER_05: I didn't know.
- 9:36SPEAKER_05: He would show his computer, Ramon, we made this money, but I lost this money.
- 9:41SPEAKER_05: Or here's who I'm hiring.
- 9:43SPEAKER_05: Hey, Ramon, I'm about to sell my business.
- 9:45SPEAKER_05: Or Ramon, here's why you have to deal with culture in your company.
- 9:49SPEAKER_05: He taught me in large part just by showing me his business, what business was.
- 9:56SPEAKER_05: Hey, I have a client.
- 9:57SPEAKER_05: Here's how we're gonna work with the client.
- 10:00SPEAKER_05: Didn't know.
- 10:01SPEAKER_05: So Yaakov Rocharinsky and Mr.
- 10:04SPEAKER_05: S.
- 10:04SPEAKER_05: Chiramba and Athan.
- 10:05SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 10:06SPEAKER_02: And that those are beautiful stories.
- 10:08SPEAKER_02: I giggle because you're you're you I think you missed your calling.
- 10:12SPEAKER_02: You're so good at the dramatization.
- 10:15SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 10:15SPEAKER_02: I wait for it.
- 10:16SPEAKER_02: But all kidding aside, you really made me feel like I was there with Mr.
- 10:21SPEAKER_02: S and Mr.
- 10:22SPEAKER_02: Yaka, la la la la la.
- 10:24SPEAKER_02: But you know, I'll tell you this though.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: Um, from your stories that you shared on the rundown with Ramon and even in Breakfast of Champions, just from hearing that backstory, now it makes sense in hindsight, pardon the pun, that you're leading by example because of the example that was led to you.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: And that's really, really beautiful to see that full circle.
- 10:48SPEAKER_02: That's really awesome.
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you want to comment on that.
- 10:50SPEAKER_02: Just really awesome.
- 10:51SPEAKER_05: And a comment is those two things, Patty.
- 10:54SPEAKER_05: Mr.
- 10:54SPEAKER_05: Nathan didn't teach me about business, but I think he taught me how to be a professional.
- 10:58SPEAKER_05: And I'll go to the example, for example, he said, Ramon, so here's how I get buy-in from executives.
- 11:02SPEAKER_05: Patty says, My boss, Patty, we're at corporate America.
- 11:04SPEAKER_05: You're busy, Patty, flying around the room doing this.
- 11:07SPEAKER_05: I will send you an email.
- 11:08SPEAKER_05: Hey, Patty, as discussed, said we can$4 million, we can buy this building, hire two new people, and you can repaint your office.
- 11:16SPEAKER_05: Patty, if I got that right, can you just say yes?
- 11:19SPEAKER_05: Patty don't gotta think.
- 11:21SPEAKER_05: I just repeated to her what we did in the meeting.
- 11:24SPEAKER_05: She can read it and say, Ramon, yes, go do it.
- 11:26SPEAKER_05: I now have full permission.
- 11:27SPEAKER_05: That little art of being a professional in a corporation.
- 11:31SPEAKER_05: So that's one.
- 11:32SPEAKER_05: And then you're right with Yaakov, just things like sitting in the office realizing, because you don't know what you don't know, how business works.
- 11:39SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 11:40SPEAKER_05: He his company makes 20 million a year, let's say, but it spends 15 million a year in expenses.
- 11:47SPEAKER_05: He has to pay himself, he has five million dollars in profit.
- 11:51SPEAKER_05: He can put that money to build the business bigger, and he gives money to other people to help them live better lives.
- 11:57SPEAKER_05: Oh, that's business.
- 11:59SPEAKER_05: He taught me.
- 12:01SPEAKER_02: Amazing, amazing.
- 12:02SPEAKER_02: And now, and now you're teaching that.
- 12:05SPEAKER_02: You know, I go I go to your events, you're teaching that, and that's really, really awesome.
- 12:10SPEAKER_02: Thank you for going a little deep on that story.
- 12:12SPEAKER_02: And I know it's personal, but it's so great that you share the wealth of knowledge and experience, and that's just beautiful.
- 12:18SPEAKER_02: I want to um just say that Mr.
- 12:21SPEAKER_02: N, and I'm just sharing raw and reel right now.
- 12:24SPEAKER_02: Mr.
- 12:24SPEAKER_02: N reminds me of a Ted Lasso.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you ever watched Ted Lasso.
- 12:29SPEAKER_02: I did, yes.
- 12:31SPEAKER_02: But but it does.
- 12:32SPEAKER_02: We got I just want to say we got some love.
- 12:34SPEAKER_02: Hello, thank you for joining us live.
- 12:37SPEAKER_02: This will also be on, but thank you for joining us in this awesome conversation.
- 12:40SPEAKER_02: We're gonna keep it moving, we're gonna keep it moving.
- 12:43SPEAKER_02: So our was there a revelation, personal motto or lesson that helped guide your journey that you hold on to?
- 12:52SPEAKER_05: There's probably so many.
- 12:54SPEAKER_05: One that comes to mind at the moment, Patty, a friend of mine, his name is Edmund Jr., he's an executive at Black Enterprise Magazine, which has been around 40, 50 years, and a speaker.
- 13:04SPEAKER_05: He's part of Damon John's speaking team, Alfred Edmund Jr.
- 13:08SPEAKER_05: And a few years ago, four years, Patty, five, don't remember exactly, but a few years ago, he said, Ramon, do you realize why companies are hiring you?
- 13:17SPEAKER_05: Take corporate names, smart hustle, zone of genius at our level, meaning at small business level, those are just names we put on.
- 13:24SPEAKER_05: It's we're not Starbucks or Coca-Cola.
- 13:26SPEAKER_05: Who really cares about that?
- 13:27SPEAKER_05: He said, Ramon, people are hiring you.
- 13:30SPEAKER_05: For you, you can call it whatever you want, Ramon.
- 13:33SPEAKER_05: We can play that game all day.
- 13:34SPEAKER_05: But I want you to understand why they're hiring you.
- 13:37SPEAKER_05: And that just helped me reframe myself.
- 13:39SPEAKER_05: So when I'm with the biggest companies in the world, Salesforce, SAP, Zoho, when I'm with even Patty, a smaller business, I'm realizing, you know what?
- 13:46SPEAKER_05: Yes, we're corporations, smart hustle media, miss you, Graham.
- 13:50SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but you know what?
- 13:51SPEAKER_05: And my level, it's do they like my smile?
- 13:53SPEAKER_05: Do I put on deodorant that day?
- 13:55SPEAKER_05: Did I shake their hand, look at them in the eye?
- 13:57SPEAKER_05: Do I exude trust?
- 13:59SPEAKER_05: Do they like being around me?
- 14:00SPEAKER_05: That's what's gonna sell the deal.
- 14:02SPEAKER_05: I can talk about smart hustle media at the end of the day.
- 14:05SPEAKER_05: It's a Ramoncito.
- 14:07SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 14:08SPEAKER_02: That's great.
- 14:09SPEAKER_02: That's really great.
- 14:10SPEAKER_02: But again, I know somebody out there saying, wait a minute, um, wait a minute, let me take the fog off the mirror.
- 14:16SPEAKER_02: It's me.
- 14:17SPEAKER_02: It's me.
- 14:17SPEAKER_02: Thank you for that.
- 14:18SPEAKER_02: What would you say to your younger self today, Ramon?
- 14:23SPEAKER_05: Wow, I'd say a lot of things.
- 14:27SPEAKER_05: Um, I'd probably say continue to be more intentional about building relationships and following up.
- 14:35SPEAKER_05: I do that well now, but I wonder be in a different place.
- 14:38SPEAKER_05: I wonder would I have financial wealth?
- 14:40SPEAKER_05: Would I have more other other things marks of success could be?
- 14:44SPEAKER_05: And and I'm okay, I think, in my soul and spirit, but I think I wonder, would my business be a bit bigger?
- 14:49SPEAKER_05: I wonder, more impactful would I be?
- 14:50SPEAKER_05: Would I have the TV show that I'm right?
- 14:53SPEAKER_05: I'm close to getting it, but would I have the national impact reaching tens of thousands?
- 14:57SPEAKER_05: If I would have been done more follow-up and was more impactful and intentional with my relationship.
- 15:05SPEAKER_05: So, Patty, I'm okay today.
- 15:06SPEAKER_05: I'm all right.
- 15:07SPEAKER_05: But that's what I would tell my younger self is that hey, follow up more, be more intentional.
- 15:12SPEAKER_05: Don't just have business cards sitting on your desk, but text that person, email that person a little bit sooner, and see how you can be of service and add value to them, and then keep in touch and see how you can grow together.
- 15:24SPEAKER_02: Nice, nice, nice sound advice, and that's beautiful.
- 15:29SPEAKER_02: What would you tell your future self to keep doing?
- 15:34SPEAKER_02: And maybe it's something else more or or not to let us know.
- 15:37SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I think two things I would say, Patty, and again, you'll hear me speak quite a bit about business as you know.
- 15:43SPEAKER_05: And I have two grandchildren.
- 15:45SPEAKER_05: I have two children.
- 15:45SPEAKER_05: I've been married 30 something, 33 years or so.
- 15:48SPEAKER_05: Beautiful church community that I'm very much in, and that is important to me, but those things, Patty, happen just automatically, meaning I will be going to church this, I will be going to minister in my church convention.
- 15:58SPEAKER_05: I will see my kids and I will talk.
- 16:00SPEAKER_05: That happens automatically.
- 16:02SPEAKER_05: Part though is the business.
- 16:03SPEAKER_05: So, my point, why often lean on the business side, what I'd probably tell myself.
- 16:10SPEAKER_05: Similar to actually what I'd tell my past self, Ramon, one, keep leaning in on your strengths.
- 16:16SPEAKER_05: Know who you are.
- 16:17SPEAKER_05: Ramon, you're not Patty.
- 16:19SPEAKER_05: Ramon, your heart beats different than Patty's.
- 16:22SPEAKER_05: Ramon, you are not the grief guru.
- 16:25SPEAKER_05: Ramon, don't try to be Patty.
- 16:27SPEAKER_05: Don't try to be somebody else.
- 16:28SPEAKER_05: Your hair will never be as full and luscious as Patty's.
- 16:31SPEAKER_05: Never gonna happen.
- 16:32SPEAKER_05: Ever, Ramon, ever.
- 16:34SPEAKER_05: Don't even try.
- 16:35SPEAKER_05: So therefore, Ramon, be the best version of you that you can and be this you've heard me say, Patty, as it were, be the business entertainer.
- 16:42SPEAKER_05: Not even, I don't even lead to business coach, business consultant.
- 16:44SPEAKER_05: I do all those things, right, Patty?
- 16:46SPEAKER_05: But I lean in on the top line.
- 16:48SPEAKER_05: I'm here to entertain you with a slant towards business.
- 16:51SPEAKER_05: So lean in on that.
- 16:52SPEAKER_05: That's one, what I'd say.
- 16:53SPEAKER_05: And the second thing and last thing is just keep building good relationships, see seeing what people you can grow with.
- 17:00SPEAKER_05: You don't always have to grow alone, but there's people doing things that maybe you could say, hey, let me latch on to this with you.
- 17:06SPEAKER_05: Maybe we can build, maybe one plus one can equal three for us.
- 17:10SPEAKER_05: So that's what I would do.
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: Gods, I I love that.
- 17:14SPEAKER_02: By the way, I'm gonna also use that advice for my future self as well.
- 17:18SPEAKER_02: So thank you for that gift, Ramon.
- 17:21SPEAKER_02: What does legacy mean to you personally?
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: Again, loaded question, big word.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: It's a buzzword these days, but nonetheless, I'm asking you today, Ramon.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: What does legacy mean to you?
- 17:31SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I think legacy means to me two separate things.
- 17:35SPEAKER_05: One is in death, you know, kind of after you go, and one is current, and I'll unpack that.
- 17:40SPEAKER_05: I've had in the last year a friend of mine, she died last week.
- 17:44SPEAKER_05: Her name was Joyce.
- 17:45SPEAKER_05: She died, she was a young woman, 30 something, 35, something years old.
- 17:48SPEAKER_05: We knew she was getting sicker and sicker, but she died.
- 17:50SPEAKER_05: Her name is Joyce.
- 17:52SPEAKER_05: Another person of mine died.
- 17:53SPEAKER_05: He died in an airplane crash, uh helicopter crash.
- 17:56SPEAKER_05: The mayor of Atlanta came.
- 17:58SPEAKER_05: Big news item.
- 17:59SPEAKER_05: He was 20.
- 18:00SPEAKER_05: By the way, Patty, he died on the day he got married.
- 18:03SPEAKER_05: But when I think, Patty, of their life.
- 18:05SPEAKER_08: Condolences, by the way.
- 18:07SPEAKER_05: Yeah, thank you.
- 18:08SPEAKER_05: I think though of their life, Patty, it's so much bigger in their death now.
- 18:13SPEAKER_05: And it's morning, it's sad, especially for the family, right?
- 18:16SPEAKER_05: But I think of it as a few steps from them.
- 18:19SPEAKER_05: Man, people are saying Joyce's name.
- 18:21SPEAKER_05: Wow, people are saying Dave's name over and over and over and over.
- 18:26SPEAKER_05: Their lights blossoming.
- 18:28SPEAKER_05: So legacy to me means what did you do with the life God gave you, either in a big impactful way, like Patty and Ramon having podcasts or all that, or it could be something in quieter.
- 18:39SPEAKER_05: You could be a stay-at-home mom, stay-at-home dad who's just ministering to your two kids.
- 18:43SPEAKER_05: So that's one, and death, that's what legacy means.
- 18:45SPEAKER_05: And I think number two, Patty, or I think of my own father, by the way, and others who in my life.
- 18:50SPEAKER_05: Also, Patty, that I have living legacy.
- 18:54SPEAKER_05: That as Patty shows up in the community she's in, on BWC is one place we know each other, that her legacy is living.
- 19:02SPEAKER_05: That when she may not be in the room, when she comes in, there's Patty, and we get a smile.
- 19:07SPEAKER_05: And more and more.
- 19:08SPEAKER_05: That with me, I'm not perfect.
- 19:10SPEAKER_05: I I got issues, I could do things wrong.
- 19:12SPEAKER_05: But overall, that when they hear oh, Ramones or Ramones here, that a smile lights up for how I do it.
- 19:18SPEAKER_05: So that's what the living legacy I think is important that we can all do, and also though that legacy when you die.
- 19:27SPEAKER_02: And that's so important because there are multiple facets of legacy, right?
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: There's so many.
- 19:34SPEAKER_02: And lately I've been hearing the word a lot because it's my area focus.
- 19:37SPEAKER_02: But you know, I specifically like to zone in on the living legacy because you know, of what I do.
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: And again, this is not the show for that, otherwise, I'm gonna go totally in my consulting lane.
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: But I love that you brought that that um piece of it because I think that's an important message for all of us.
- 19:57SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, live your legacy right now, hence the show.
- 20:01SPEAKER_02: Um, so so thank you so much.
- 20:03SPEAKER_02: So, what what do people remember most about the way you lived, worked, or served?
- 20:08SPEAKER_05: That's a powerful question, Patty.
- 20:12SPEAKER_05: Yeah, man.
- 20:13SPEAKER_05: I Patty, here's let me tell you what I used to say.
- 20:16SPEAKER_05: I will keep saying it.
- 20:18SPEAKER_05: I don't know why I stopped, but especially in my church community was the one thing I want on my tombstone is Ramon was or is a man of God.
- 20:28SPEAKER_05: And that means different things.
- 20:29SPEAKER_05: People, there's a lot of pastors and others who are just terrible, low-level, evil people, abusers and more, with money and finance and beyond.
- 20:37SPEAKER_05: So, you know, I don't want to associate with those bad people, but for me, man of God, I mean the genuine, good, humble, and a person who serves God.
- 20:44SPEAKER_05: And I really mean that.
- 20:45SPEAKER_05: So that's one aspect, the legacy I live.
- 20:47SPEAKER_05: I think the second, as I tell to my team and I tell to others, our core values of our company is have fun and do the right thing.
- 20:55SPEAKER_05: So I hope that my legacy, know what?
- 20:58SPEAKER_05: We had a good time.
- 21:00SPEAKER_05: Ramon, good.
- 21:01SPEAKER_05: That's one.
- 21:02SPEAKER_05: And then number two, an air of honesty.
- 21:05SPEAKER_05: Ramon may have offended, Ramon may have been late, Ramon may have spoken too fast.
- 21:11SPEAKER_05: There's a thousand things you could say of Ramon, but I hope there's one thing you'll never, ever say that I ever cheated anybody.
- 21:18SPEAKER_05: I mean, not even in a small way that you got more change owed because I wasn't sure.
- 21:23SPEAKER_05: Like, wait a minute, did I owe you 72 cents or 73?
- 21:26SPEAKER_05: You know what?
- 21:27SPEAKER_05: Here's a dollar.
- 21:28SPEAKER_05: No ambiguity, those two things.
- 21:30SPEAKER_05: That we had fun with Ramon, that we had a good time.
- 21:32SPEAKER_05: He he made us feel good.
- 21:34SPEAKER_05: And that if there's one honest person, if there's one person you want playing to monopoly money, being the bank or Monopoly, it's gonna be Ramon because he won't cheat me, he won't mess with my daughter, my son, you know, any whatever version of it, that he's a straight up guy.
- 21:48SPEAKER_05: That's what I want.
- 21:49SPEAKER_02: That's really awesome.
- 21:50SPEAKER_02: And the word that's I'm seeing now because I'm such a visual person integrity, integrity, integrity, right?
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: Integrity, integrity, integrity.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: That's a good word.
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: And and you know, one day we're we're all gonna be on the other side, right?
- 22:07SPEAKER_02: And and people will be talking about us, and they're gonna say, Ramon had so that's really hopefully in lots and lots and lots of years from today, but nonetheless, what is something about your journey?
- 22:19SPEAKER_02: This is our question as we're coming up to the top of the hour, but what is something about your journey that most people would be surprised to learn?
- 22:28SPEAKER_02: Now remember, there's no right or wrong answer, so take it away, Ramon.
- 22:31SPEAKER_05: Yeah, well, I'm a creative person, I play piano, I play at my church on a regular basis, play piano.
- 22:39SPEAKER_05: I love to do puppet shows in developing countries, good puppeteer, not puppeteer like Disney or Sesame Street, but I can I get down and dirty so puppets.
- 22:48SPEAKER_05: Um, I'm a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy.
- 22:51SPEAKER_02: Voiceovers then.
- 22:52SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so so then if you do the puppet, a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy, and I and the last thing I'll end on this: I have a streak of protector.
- 23:02SPEAKER_05: I'm very jovial, very fun.
- 23:04SPEAKER_05: But Patty, if there's danger and you need someone to really get down and dirty and take somebody to the ground to operate with violent force, you want me in your quarter, Patty.
- 23:16SPEAKER_05: I would be the one to stand in front of you and take, even though I feel like crying and saying it, I will take them to the ground for you.
- 23:22SPEAKER_05: That's a that's a superpower of mine because I've had to do it before.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: So if I so if I walk down a dark alley, I I want Ramon by my side.
- 23:31SPEAKER_02: Easy.
- 23:31SPEAKER_05: I'll be two steps in front of you, scoping the area, looking to you.
- 23:34SPEAKER_05: My wife is always whenever Ramon, he gets into secure secret service mode.
- 23:37SPEAKER_05: I'm like, Ronnie, that's just how I'm built.
- 23:40SPEAKER_02: Well, you are a man of God, right?
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: You are a man of God.
- 23:43SPEAKER_02: So uh a God bearer, you know, armor bearer for God.
- 23:46SPEAKER_02: That's really awesome, right?
- 23:48SPEAKER_02: Really good.
- 23:49SPEAKER_02: Not not even not even not even kidding around.
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: So, you know, as we're coming to the top of the hour, we like to make it all about you on Live Your Legacy.
- 23:57SPEAKER_02: So we want to know where can we find you and what are you doing these days?
- 24:00SPEAKER_02: And I'm gonna bring up your website because it's such a great site to to check out.
- 24:04SPEAKER_02: But Ramon, take it away.
- 24:05SPEAKER_02: Let us know what are you doing these days?
- 24:07SPEAKER_02: Tell us about your website, where can we find you?
- 24:09SPEAKER_02: And let us know a little bit more about Ramon Rang.
- 24:11SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I think there's two main things I want to know.
- 24:13SPEAKER_05: I think we're living in a world, Patty, as you know, people who are hurting, and we're so filled with AI and the technology and the speeds and feeds and likes and comments and all those things.
- 24:23SPEAKER_05: But I think we're missing being in-person experiences, bringing people together to laugh, to cry, to hug, to learn.
- 24:28SPEAKER_05: And so there's a community, there's an experience called Genius Talks Mastermind, and it's there.
- 24:32SPEAKER_05: You can go to the same do you have the perfect page for it so people can check out genius mastermind and experience of people together.
- 24:38SPEAKER_05: I think that's one, the one note.
- 24:39SPEAKER_05: And I think number two really is that I produce a lot of content on social media.
- 24:43SPEAKER_05: So if you want to laugh, you want to be entertained in the context of learning how to build your business.
- 24:48SPEAKER_05: If you go to remoteray.com, you're gonna find something, whether it's my YouTube channel or more, you're gonna find something that's gonna help your business, maybe even help you.
- 24:56SPEAKER_05: So those are two things genius talks mastermind are in-person events, and then hey, any of my channels you can follow, especially the YouTube channel, click there, and um, you'll change your life.
- 25:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: Right there is a link, right there.
- 25:10SPEAKER_02: You see the genius talks events, and that's really, really awesome.
- 25:13SPEAKER_02: Well, thank you for being here.
- 25:15SPEAKER_02: And we're not gonna let you get away just that quickly.
- 25:18SPEAKER_02: We want to hear some closing remarks.
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: So, what's on your heart and mind, Ramon, before we wrap it up on this beautiful day?
- 25:23SPEAKER_02: And again, thank you for being a guest on Live Your Legacy.
- 25:26SPEAKER_02: Ramon, take it away.
- 25:27SPEAKER_05: Yeah, Patty, first of all, thank you, Patty, for being an amazing human.
- 25:31SPEAKER_05: Thank you for having me on Live Your Legacy.
- 25:33SPEAKER_05: And I hope if you're watching this message, you check out Patty, Live Your Legacy, Miss Yugram, for the work she does.
- 25:39SPEAKER_05: And the biggest takeaway I can say is the world is full of so many hurting people.
- 25:45SPEAKER_05: The world is full of so many people who have hurt people and who are hurting, people who are in pain, people like me who've gone through pain and could pain.
- 25:54SPEAKER_05: But my challenge to everyone, Patty, my hope that each person be just a little bit of light just takes a little bit of the light to dispel darkness.
- 26:04SPEAKER_05: It's somebody just being attentive and paying attention and saying, Hey, you look good.
- 26:08SPEAKER_05: Hey, thank you for showing up.
- 26:10SPEAKER_05: Hey, I hope your morning goes well.
- 26:13SPEAKER_05: Hey, nice jacket.
- 26:15SPEAKER_05: Hey, thank you.
- 26:16SPEAKER_05: If we just take a minute to be that, to add a little bit of salt, add a bit of a little light into the world, the world will be, I would say, maybe a hundred percent better or a hundred times better if we all just do one percent more.
- 26:28SPEAKER_05: Patty, thanks for having me.
- 26:30SPEAKER_05: It's been great to be here with you.
- 26:31SPEAKER_02: Thank you so much.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: And that really is an important message.
- 26:34SPEAKER_02: We all are entrusted with it, right?
- 26:37SPEAKER_02: So when you can light somebody else's path, it's not just about lighting your own path, but it's about lighting somebody else's.
- 26:43SPEAKER_02: And that's um just a true gift.
- 26:46SPEAKER_02: Thank you for the world.
- 26:47SPEAKER_02: With that being said, I just want to tell everybody to, you know, thanks for listening.
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: Don't forget to hit subscribe, leave a five-star rating, and write a review.
- 26:55SPEAKER_02: You can find us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or wherever you get your podcast.

- 27:05SPEAKER_02: Good night, good evening, good day, good night, wherever you are in the world.
- 27:08SPEAKER_02: I'll see you soon.
- 27:09SPEAKER_06: And every point holds the power of legacy.
- 27:13SPEAKER_06: Every step, every star, every choice we make is a mark.
- 27:19SPEAKER_06: The time on you is where welcome to live your legacy.
- 27:24SPEAKER_06: Wherever a story holds a turning point.
- 27:29SPEAKER_06: And every turning power of legacy.
- 27:33SPEAKER_02: Grace and greetings.
- 27:34SPEAKER_02: Welcome to Live Your Legacy in production, the conversational podcast where we explore how life's defining moments shape the legacy we leave behind.
- 27:44SPEAKER_02: I'm your host, Patricia D.
- 27:45SPEAKER_02: Freudenberg, also known as Patty from New York, and I am the founder and CEO of MysteryGram.
- 27:51SPEAKER_02: And as a grief consultant, my area of focus is legacy, empowering you from grief to a life to be remembered.
- 27:58SPEAKER_02: And this show is rooted in one simple truth: grief is not always about death.
- 28:03SPEAKER_02: Sometimes it comes through life's changes, losses, detours, and new beginnings.
- 28:08SPEAKER_02: And here we speak with entrepreneurs, authors, leaders, and creators who have turned their life's defining moments into meaningful work and lasting contributions because legacy is not only what we leave behind, it's what we are shaping right now through vision, impact, and purpose.
- 28:25SPEAKER_02: And today I am honored to welcome our special guest, Ramon Ray, is a motivational keynote speaker, event host, a small business champion who has built over five businesses, sold three of them, and authored five books.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: And while staying relentlessly, unapologetically positive, known for his high-energy presence and practical wisdom, he speaks at some of the world's most impactful events and helps entrepreneurs cut through the noise to build a business that actually works.
- 28:59SPEAKER_02: It's my honor again to welcome Ramon Ray.
- 29:03SPEAKER_02: Thank you for being on Live Your Legacy.
- 29:06SPEAKER_02: And where are you coming in from, my friend?
- 29:08SPEAKER_05: Hey Patty, thanks for having me here.
- 29:09SPEAKER_05: It's great to be on your platform, Live Your Legacy.
- 29:12SPEAKER_05: Thank you, Patty, for the work you've done for so much to really help people do this.
- 29:17SPEAKER_05: Live your legacy.
- 29:18SPEAKER_05: Thanks for helping people overcome their grief and just all the work you do and the heart you have for service is next level.
- 29:25SPEAKER_05: So thank you, Patty.
- 29:26SPEAKER_05: And I live in the vacation capital of the world.
- 29:30SPEAKER_05: So thank you.
- 29:32SPEAKER_02: Which is some people don't know.
- 29:33SPEAKER_05: Everybody knows, Patty, everybody knows.
- 29:35SPEAKER_05: That's obvious.
- 29:35SPEAKER_05: All right.
- 29:36SPEAKER_05: It's New Jersey.
- 29:37SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 29:38SPEAKER_02: That's my that's our that's our you know, brother and sister right there next to New York, New Jersey.
- 29:43SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 29:43SPEAKER_02: Well, you know, we like to get right into it, Ramon.
- 29:45SPEAKER_02: We like to get right into it.
- 29:46SPEAKER_02: So get your scuba gear, get your scuba gear on, folks, as we go into our first question.
- 29:52SPEAKER_02: Would you agree or disagree that hindsight is always 2020 and why?
- 30:01SPEAKER_05: Hmm.
- 30:02SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I think the principle of hindsight 2020, hindsight being perfect, I think that's pretty much always right, right?
- 30:08SPEAKER_05: You have a football game, everybody says, Oh, we should have done that.
- 30:11SPEAKER_05: That's because you saw the replay and you knew the coach or the referee was gonna do this, that, the other.
- 30:16SPEAKER_05: So I think so.
- 30:17SPEAKER_05: I think that hindsight, yeah, unless it's a trick questionnaire.
- 30:20SPEAKER_05: The the spirit of the of the spirit of the question, I think it's always 2020.
- 30:25SPEAKER_05: And and and that's why risk is important because we don't know the future.
- 30:28SPEAKER_05: So you gotta sometimes step forward to learn to test, right?
- 30:31SPEAKER_05: They say when you go across ice and all those things, I've never done it.
- 30:34SPEAKER_05: You test first because you don't have 2020.
- 30:37SPEAKER_05: That's the best we can do.
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 30:39SPEAKER_02: You know, I love that you associated it with risk because if you remember when you're about to take risk, that hindsight's always there on the other side.
- 30:48SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 30:48SPEAKER_02: We never heard it that way.
- 30:49SPEAKER_02: That makes this so much fun.
- 30:51SPEAKER_02: Every answer is unique, like a fingerprint.
- 30:53SPEAKER_02: Can you take us now for a moment to share with us a pivotal moment that changed the direction of your life or work?
- 31:01SPEAKER_02: Both?
- 31:02SPEAKER_05: Sure, yeah.
- 31:02SPEAKER_05: I mean, I'm sure I've had a lot of small pivotal moments, Patty.
- 31:05SPEAKER_05: I'm sure we all have, but I think one, probably maybe the biggest that I can think of, because I don't know if I would be here talking today, got fired from the United Nations and it wasn't literally fired, but I was working at the United Nations.
- 31:16SPEAKER_05: I had permission to have a gig, a side hustle at the United Nations and many civil service jobs, having a side gig, side hustle, it's really a no-no, or you have to get permission.
- 31:24SPEAKER_05: When you work for the government, post off things like this, they don't want you making money on the side.
- 31:28SPEAKER_05: So I had a side gig, and I had to tell you go through it, your supervisor to get permission.
- 31:31SPEAKER_05: But then I had a jealous that permission was revoked.
- 31:34SPEAKER_05: But Patty, what am I gonna do?
- 31:36SPEAKER_05: I had a taste of the apple, I had a taste of entrepreneurship.
- 31:38SPEAKER_05: I would, I had a taste of business.
- 31:41SPEAKER_05: And they said, Ramon, you are no longer working in the United Nations.
- 31:45SPEAKER_05: We're a single-income family, Patty.
- 31:46SPEAKER_05: It's just bringing in, you know, paying rent.
- 31:48SPEAKER_05: I had two small kids.
- 31:50SPEAKER_05: I had to make it happen.
- 31:51SPEAKER_05: So all the stuff I was doing kind of for free, just showing up.
- 31:55SPEAKER_05: That day I remember was like I had called called clients.
- 31:58SPEAKER_05: I put my quotes because previous, it was just this is cool.
- 32:01SPEAKER_05: But then I had to say the next time, hey, can you come here and speak?
- 32:04SPEAKER_05: Yes, I can.
- 32:05SPEAKER_05: My fee is Ramon.
- 32:07SPEAKER_05: Can I pick your brain?
- 32:08SPEAKER_05: Absolutely.
- 32:09SPEAKER_05: My fee is I had to bring in money for my families.
- 32:12SPEAKER_05: I think being fired from the United Nations was one very pivotal moment.
- 32:16SPEAKER_05: Another pivotal moment was um when I had my first child.
- 32:20SPEAKER_05: Didn't know my first child that I was gonna have a first child, and I was but young myself.
- 32:25SPEAKER_05: So that was a pivotal moment.
- 32:26SPEAKER_05: Like, oh, okay.
- 32:29SPEAKER_05: This is and of course, and that's life changing.
- 32:32SPEAKER_02: And then to the question to the point of the question is that that's life-changing pivotal moments.
- 32:37SPEAKER_02: And you know, when when I ask these questions, you know, in a lifespan, of course, there's many, you know, but there's always those that are always at the top, there's always those that are at the top until another one comes that might, you know, get to the number one.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: But thank you for sharing that.
- 32:51SPEAKER_02: And and in in answering that question, you might have answered already this next question.
- 32:55SPEAKER_02: However, we want to go a little deeper.
- 32:57SPEAKER_02: What would you say was a blessing in disguise?
- 33:00SPEAKER_02: And explain to us why.
- 33:02SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I think that was it.
- 33:04SPEAKER_05: I think that that one challenge of just um that was one blessing in disguise.
- 33:08SPEAKER_05: And it that's more a pivotal moment, so I can have answer a different question.
- 33:10SPEAKER_05: But I think the blessing was who I am today.
- 33:13SPEAKER_05: I must say, sitting here speaking to you, Patty, some days I do wish I had a job.
- 33:17SPEAKER_05: The the the the struggle in this season of of getting the money I want, having the consistency of revenue, it's a bit tough some days.
- 33:25SPEAKER_05: Some days I wish to work from Microsoft, I work from MasterCard, I work for the BMW dealership, you know, get a get a steady check.
- 33:34SPEAKER_05: But um, I think what's a blessing in disguise.
- 33:36SPEAKER_05: I think I'll so many I can mention.
- 33:38SPEAKER_05: Um one I'll think about, I had the opportunity to have my show called Rundown with Ramone hosted on USA Today Network.
- 33:45SPEAKER_05: So happens, Patty.
- 33:47SPEAKER_05: I did the show.
- 33:48SPEAKER_05: I thought Oprah will be, I thought the sun was gonna come out.
- 33:52SPEAKER_05: I'd be the Tyler Perry.
- 33:54SPEAKER_05: Patty, nothing happened.
- 33:56SPEAKER_05: I did that show for a year, zip, diddly squat.
- 33:59SPEAKER_05: Now it was good for my ego, good for my brand.
- 34:02SPEAKER_05: It was good, but the blessing happened, kind of like the karate kid wax on wax off.
- 34:08SPEAKER_05: I don't remember what it was, but we know that thing.
- 34:10SPEAKER_05: Me doing that every day, Monday through Friday for a year.
- 34:14SPEAKER_05: It got me the discipline of live show production.
- 34:17SPEAKER_05: No, my brand didn't blow up like I thought.
- 34:20SPEAKER_05: Just doing hey everybody, good morning.
- 34:22SPEAKER_05: This is the Rundown with Ramon Joe.
- 34:23SPEAKER_05: Welcome to a brand new day.
- 34:26SPEAKER_05: Me doing that every day.
- 34:28SPEAKER_05: It put the reps in live show production, so it was a blessing in disguise.
- 34:32SPEAKER_02: Wow, that's a great point.
- 34:35SPEAKER_02: And I think that's something really important to just recap one more time because we hear this all the time, right?
- 34:41SPEAKER_02: Practice makes better.
- 34:42SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 34:43SPEAKER_02: Living proof, it's truth.
- 34:45SPEAKER_02: There's truth to practice does make better.
- 34:48SPEAKER_02: And when we practice enough, you know, the effort turns into excellence, which you are excellent at your show.
- 34:53SPEAKER_02: All kidding aside, I'm a fan.
- 34:55SPEAKER_02: You know, I chime in, you know, 7 a.m.
- 34:57SPEAKER_02: Eastern time.
- 34:58SPEAKER_02: Check them out on YouTube.
- 34:59SPEAKER_02: Little plug there, but we'll go back to that in a little while.
- 35:01SPEAKER_02: You have your own show.
- 35:02SPEAKER_02: In a little while, we'll go back to that.
- 35:03SPEAKER_02: We're not that's right, that's right.
- 35:05SPEAKER_02: And that's awesome too.
- 35:06SPEAKER_02: And we could talk about that for another three hours.
- 35:08SPEAKER_02: But who has been the most memorable in your life?
- 35:10SPEAKER_02: And again, not an easy question, maybe not, but let us know who is at the top of your mind and why.
- 35:16SPEAKER_05: Yeah, the immediately the two people I say all the time, notwithstanding people you meet in recent times and mentors, you know, metaphorically, Patty is a mentor to me in some ways, how she keeps showing up, showing up, showing up.
- 35:30SPEAKER_05: So we all have those types of mentors, but two people in my life: one is Mr.
- 35:34SPEAKER_05: S.
- 35:35SPEAKER_05: Chidambaranathan, an Indian gentleman.
- 35:38SPEAKER_05: He doesn't even have a first name, he just made up the S to satisfy the U.S.
- 35:41SPEAKER_05: government immigration.
- 35:42SPEAKER_05: Um, but S.
- 35:43SPEAKER_05: Chidambaranathan doesn't have a first, doesn't have a first, he has a first initial.
- 35:47SPEAKER_05: Um, gentlemen in the UN, he's the one who just taught me, as it were, you know, imparted to me, impressed in me, you know, in his beautiful, lovely Indian accent.
- 35:57SPEAKER_05: Ramon, you're angry right now, angry.
- 36:01SPEAKER_05: Don't write the email, don't hit send, wait until you're not angry.
- 36:06SPEAKER_05: Just that beautiful.
- 36:08SPEAKER_05: He was an older man, about 70 or so.
- 36:10SPEAKER_05: I'd spend Patty hours in his office, and he would just mentor me and help me and guide me as a young man that I needed during that time.
- 36:18SPEAKER_05: And also some of the frustration that the UN he was simple things.
- 36:22SPEAKER_05: Hey, Ramon, there's a meeting happening.
- 36:23SPEAKER_05: Why aren't you taking notes?
- 36:25SPEAKER_05: Sorry, Mr.
- 36:25SPEAKER_05: Nathan.
- 36:26SPEAKER_05: That's right.
- 36:26SPEAKER_05: I should have a pen and take notes.
- 36:28SPEAKER_05: I didn't think of it.
- 36:29SPEAKER_05: He taught me that.
- 36:30SPEAKER_05: He taught me the things of Ramon, you know, all kinds of things.
- 36:33SPEAKER_05: He taught me even when talking to executive leaders, how to get them to have buy-in.
- 36:38SPEAKER_05: We have AI for one, Mr.
- 36:39SPEAKER_05: Chidamba and afhthan.
- 36:40SPEAKER_05: The second person, Patty, would be Yaakov Rocharinsky in New York City.
- 36:45SPEAKER_05: He's a two-time entrepreneur.
- 36:47SPEAKER_05: When I was at the UN, he's one of the people I would spend with hours a month, and he did the art of business.
- 36:53SPEAKER_05: I did know he would show his computer Ramon, you know, we made this money, but I lost this money.
- 37:00SPEAKER_05: Or hey Ramon, I'm about to sell my business, or here's here's why you have to deal with culture in your company.
- 37:07SPEAKER_05: He taught me in large part just by showing me his business, what business was.
- 37:13SPEAKER_05: Hey, I have a client.
- 37:15SPEAKER_05: Here's how we're gonna work with the client.
- 37:17SPEAKER_05: Didn't know.
- 37:18SPEAKER_05: So Yaakov Rocharinsky and Mr.
- 37:21SPEAKER_05: S.
- 37:21SPEAKER_05: Chirambaranathan.
- 37:23SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 37:24SPEAKER_02: And that those are beautiful stories.
- 37:26SPEAKER_02: I giggle because you're you're, you know, you I think you missed your calling.
- 37:30SPEAKER_02: You're so good at, you know, the dramatization.
- 37:32SPEAKER_02: I I love that.
- 37:33SPEAKER_02: I I like wait for it.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: But all kidding aside, you really made me feel like I was there with Mr.
- 37:39SPEAKER_02: S and Mr.
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: Lala.
- 37:41SPEAKER_02: You know, I'll tell you this though.
- 37:43SPEAKER_02: Um, from your stories that you shared on the rundown with Ramon and even in Breakfast of Champions, just from hearing that backstory, now it makes sense in hindsight, pardon the pun, that you're leading by example because of the example that was led to you.
- 38:01SPEAKER_02: And that's really, really beautiful to see that full circle.
- 38:05SPEAKER_02: That's really awesome.
- 38:06SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you want to like comment on that, but that that's just really awesome.
- 38:10SPEAKER_05: And I think the comment is those two things, Patty.
- 38:12SPEAKER_05: Mr.
- 38:12SPEAKER_05: Nathan about business, but I think he taught me how to be a professional.
- 38:16SPEAKER_05: And I'll go to the example, for example, to Ramon.
- 38:18SPEAKER_05: So here's how I get buy-in from executives.
- 38:20SPEAKER_05: Patty says my boss, Patty, we're at corporate America.
- 38:22SPEAKER_05: You're busy, Patty, flying around the room doing this.
- 38:25SPEAKER_05: I will send you an email.
- 38:26SPEAKER_05: Hey, Patty, as discussed, you said we can transfer four million dollars, we can buy this building, we can hire two new people, and you said we can repaint your office.
- 38:35SPEAKER_05: Patty, if I got that right, can you just say yes?
- 38:38SPEAKER_05: Patty don't got it.
- 38:40SPEAKER_05: I just heard what we did in the meeting.
- 38:41SPEAKER_05: She could read it, said yes, go do it.
- 38:43SPEAKER_05: Now have full permission.
- 38:44SPEAKER_05: That little art of being a professional, you know, that's one.
- 38:48SPEAKER_05: And then you're right with Yaakov, just things like cleaning the office, realizing, because you don't know what you don't know, how business works.
- 38:55SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 38:56SPEAKER_05: He his company makes 20 million a year, let's say, but it spends 15 million a year in expenses.
- 39:03SPEAKER_05: He has to pay himself, he has five million dollars in profit.
- 39:07SPEAKER_05: He can put that money to build the business bigger, and he gives money to other people to help them live better lives.
- 39:13SPEAKER_05: Oh, business.
- 39:15SPEAKER_02: He taught me amazing, amazing.
- 39:18SPEAKER_02: And now you're teaching that.
- 39:20SPEAKER_02: Um I go to your events, you're teaching that, and that's really awesome.
- 39:24SPEAKER_02: Thank you for going a little deep on that story.
- 39:26SPEAKER_02: And I know it's personal, but it's so great that you share the wealth of an experience and beautiful.
- 39:31SPEAKER_02: I want to just say that Mr.
- 39:33SPEAKER_02: N, I'm just sharing raw and reel right now.
- 39:36SPEAKER_02: Mr.
- 39:36SPEAKER_02: N reminds me of a Ted Lasso.
- 39:39SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you ever watched Ted Lasso.
- 39:41SPEAKER_04: I didn't see it yet.
- 39:43SPEAKER_02: But but it does.
- 39:44SPEAKER_02: We got some love here.
- 39:45SPEAKER_02: I just want to say we got, yeah, we got some love.
- 39:48SPEAKER_02: Saying hello, thank you for joining us live.
- 39:50SPEAKER_02: This will also be on replay, but thank you for joining us in this awesome conversation.
- 39:55SPEAKER_02: We're gonna keep it moving, we're gonna keep it moving to our next question.
- 39:58SPEAKER_02: Was the revelation motto or lesson that helped guide your journey that you hold on to?
- 40:07SPEAKER_05: There's probably so many.
- 40:09SPEAKER_05: One that comes to mind at the moment, Patty, a friend of mine, his name is Alfred Edmund Jr.
- 40:15SPEAKER_05: He's an executive at Black Enterprise Magazine, which has been around 40, 50 years and a speaker.
- 40:20SPEAKER_05: He's part of Damon John's speaking team, Alfred Edmund Jr.
- 40:23SPEAKER_05: And a few years ago, four years, Patty, five, don't remember exactly, but a few years ago, he said, Do you realize why companies are hiring you?
- 40:32SPEAKER_05: Take away all the corporate names, smart hustle, zone of genius at our level, meaning at small business level, those are just names we put on.
- 40:40SPEAKER_05: It's we're not Starbucks or Coca-Cola.
- 40:42SPEAKER_05: Nobody really cares about that.
- 40:43SPEAKER_05: He said, Ramon, people are hiring you.
- 40:46SPEAKER_05: You.
- 40:47SPEAKER_05: You can call it whatever you want, Ramon.
- 40:48SPEAKER_05: We can play that game all day.
- 40:50SPEAKER_05: I want you to understand why they're hiring you.
- 40:52SPEAKER_05: That just helped me reframe myself.
- 40:54SPEAKER_05: So when I'm with the biggest companies in the world, Salesforce, SAP, Zoho, when I'm with even Patty as business, I'm realizing, you know what?
- 41:01SPEAKER_05: Yes, we're corporations, hustle media, miss you, Graham.
- 41:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but you know what?
- 41:05SPEAKER_05: And my level, it's do they like my smile?
- 41:08SPEAKER_05: Do I put on deodorant that day?
- 41:09SPEAKER_05: Did I shake their hand, look at them in the eye?
- 41:11SPEAKER_05: Do do I exude trust?
- 41:13SPEAKER_05: Do they like being around me?
- 41:15SPEAKER_05: That's what's gonna sell the deal.
- 41:16SPEAKER_05: I can talk about smart hustle at the end of the day, is a Ramoncito.
- 41:21SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 41:22SPEAKER_02: That's great.
- 41:23SPEAKER_02: That's really great.
- 41:23SPEAKER_02: But again, I know somebody out there saying, wait a minute, wait a minute, let me take the fog off the mirror.
- 41:29SPEAKER_02: It's me.
- 41:30SPEAKER_02: It's me.
- 41:30SPEAKER_02: Thank you for that.
- 41:31SPEAKER_02: What would you say to your younger self today, Ramon?
- 41:36SPEAKER_05: I'd say a lot of things.
- 41:37SPEAKER_05: I'd probably say continue to be intentional about building relationships and following up.
- 41:44SPEAKER_05: I do that well now, but I wonder, would I be in a different place?
- 41:48SPEAKER_05: I wonder, would I have more financial wealth?
- 41:50SPEAKER_05: Would I have more other whatever other things marks of success there could be?
- 41:54SPEAKER_05: And I'm okay, I think, in my soul and spirit, but I think I wonder, would my business be a bit bigger or better?
- 42:00SPEAKER_05: I wonder, more impactful would I be?
- 42:01SPEAKER_05: Would I have the TV show that I want, right?
- 42:04SPEAKER_05: I'm close to getting it, but would I have the national impact reaching tens of thousands?
- 42:09SPEAKER_05: If I would have been done more follow-up and was more impactful and intentional with my relationship.
- 42:16SPEAKER_05: So, Patty, I'm okay today.
- 42:18SPEAKER_05: I'm all right.
- 42:19SPEAKER_05: But that's what I would tell my younger self is that hey, follow up more, be more intentional.
- 42:23SPEAKER_05: Don't just have business cards sitting on your desk, but that person a little bit sooner and see how you can be of service and add value to them, and then keep in touch and see how you can grow together.
- 42:35SPEAKER_02: Nice, nice sound advice.
- 42:37SPEAKER_02: And that's what would you tell your future self to keep doing?
- 42:43SPEAKER_02: And maybe it's something else or or not to let us know.
- 42:46SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I think two things I would say, Patty.
- 42:48SPEAKER_05: And again, you'll speak quite a bit about business.
- 42:51SPEAKER_05: And I have two grandchildren.
- 42:52SPEAKER_05: I have two children.
- 42:53SPEAKER_05: I've been married 30 something, 33 years or so.
- 42:55SPEAKER_05: Beautiful church, very much in, and that is important to me, but those Patty happen just automatically.
- 43:00SPEAKER_05: I will be going to church this Sunday.
- 43:02SPEAKER_05: I will be going to minister at a church convention.
- 43:04SPEAKER_05: I will see my kids and I will talk.
- 43:07SPEAKER_05: That happens automatically.
- 43:08SPEAKER_05: The harder part for me though is the business.
- 43:10SPEAKER_05: So my point, why often lean on the business side, what I'd probably tell my future self, similar to actually what I'd tell my past self, Ramon.
- 43:21SPEAKER_05: One, keep leaning in on your strengths.
- 43:24SPEAKER_05: Know who you are.
- 43:25SPEAKER_05: Ramon, you're not Patty.
- 43:27SPEAKER_05: Ramon, your heart beats different than Patty's.
- 43:30SPEAKER_05: Ramon, you are not the grief guru.
- 43:33SPEAKER_05: Ramon, don't try to be Patty.
- 43:35SPEAKER_05: Don't try to be somebody else.
- 43:36SPEAKER_05: Your hair will never be as full and luscious as Patty's.
- 43:39SPEAKER_05: Never gonna happen.
- 43:40SPEAKER_05: Ever, Ramon, ever.
- 43:41SPEAKER_05: Don't even try.
- 43:43SPEAKER_05: So therefore, Ramon, be the best version of you that you can and be this you've heard me say, Patty, as it were, be the business entertainer.
- 43:50SPEAKER_05: Not even, I don't even lead a business coach, business consultant.
- 43:52SPEAKER_05: I do all those things, right, Patty?
- 43:54SPEAKER_05: But I lean in on the top line.
- 43:56SPEAKER_05: I'm here to entertain you with a slant towards business.
- 43:59SPEAKER_05: So lean.
- 44:00SPEAKER_05: On that, that's one what I'd say.
- 44:01SPEAKER_05: And the second thing and last thing is just keep building good relationships, seeing what people you can grow with.
- 44:07SPEAKER_05: You don't always have to grow, but there's people doing things that maybe you could say, Hey, let me latch on to this with you.
- 44:13SPEAKER_05: Maybe we maybe one plus three for us.
- 44:15SPEAKER_05: So that's what I would do.
- 44:17SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 44:18SPEAKER_02: God's math.
- 44:19SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 44:20SPEAKER_02: And by the way, I use that advice from my future self as well.
- 44:23SPEAKER_02: So thank you for that gift.
- 44:25SPEAKER_02: Ramon, what does legacy mean to you personally?
- 44:29SPEAKER_02: Again, loaded question, big word.
- 44:31SPEAKER_02: It's a buzzword these days, but nonetheless, I'm asking you today.
- 44:34SPEAKER_02: Ramon, does legacy mean to you?
- 44:36SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 44:37SPEAKER_05: I think legacy means to me two separate things.
- 44:40SPEAKER_05: One is in death, kind of after you go, and one is current, and I'll unpack that.
- 44:45SPEAKER_05: I've had in the last year a friend of mine, she died last week.
- 44:48SPEAKER_05: Her name is Joyce.
- 44:50SPEAKER_05: She died, she was a young woman, 30 something, 35, something years old.
- 44:53SPEAKER_05: We knew she was getting sicker and sicker, but she died.
- 44:55SPEAKER_05: Her name is Joyce.
- 44:56SPEAKER_05: Another person of mine died.
- 44:58SPEAKER_05: He died in an airplane crash, uh crash.
- 45:00SPEAKER_05: The mayor of Atlanta came.
- 45:02SPEAKER_05: Big news item.
- 45:03SPEAKER_05: He was 20, by the way, Patty, he died on the day he got married.
- 45:08SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 45:09SPEAKER_05: But when I think, Patty, of their life.
- 45:11SPEAKER_08: Condolences, by the way.
- 45:12SPEAKER_05: Thank you.
- 45:13SPEAKER_05: When I think, though, of their life, Patty, it's so much bigger in their death now.
- 45:19SPEAKER_05: And it's morning.
- 45:20SPEAKER_05: It's sad, especially for the family, right?
- 45:22SPEAKER_05: But I think of it as a few steps from them.
- 45:24SPEAKER_05: Man, people are saying Joyce's name.
- 45:27SPEAKER_05: Wow, people are saying Dave's name over and over and over and over.
- 45:32SPEAKER_05: Their lights blossoming.
- 45:33SPEAKER_05: So legacy to me means what did you do with the life God gave you, either in a big impactful way, like Patty and Ramon having podcasts or all that, or something in quieter.
- 45:44SPEAKER_05: You could be a stay-at-home mom, stay-at-home dad who's just ministering to your two kids.
- 45:48SPEAKER_05: So that's one and death.
- 45:49SPEAKER_05: That's what legacy.
- 45:50SPEAKER_05: And I think number two, Patty, or I think of my own father, by the way, and others who in my life, but I think of also Patty, I hope that I have living legacy that as Patty shows up in the community she's in on BWC is one place we know each other, that her legacy is living.
- 46:08SPEAKER_05: That when she may not be in the room, when she comes in, there's Patty, and we get a smile more.
- 46:14SPEAKER_05: That with me, I'm not perfect.
- 46:16SPEAKER_05: I got issues, I could do things wrong.
- 46:17SPEAKER_05: And overall, that when they hear, oh, Ramon's coming or Ramon's here, that a smile lights up for how I do it.
- 46:23SPEAKER_05: So that's what the living legacy I think is important that we can all do.
- 46:28SPEAKER_05: And also though, that legacy when you die.
- 46:32SPEAKER_02: And that's so important because there are multiple facets of legacy, right?
- 46:38SPEAKER_02: There's so many.
- 46:39SPEAKER_02: And lately I've been hearing the word a lot, maybe because it's my area of focus, but I specifically like to zone in on the living legacy because of what I do.
- 46:50SPEAKER_02: And again, this is not the show for that, otherwise, I'm gonna go totally in my consulting lane.
- 46:55SPEAKER_02: But I love that you brought that attention to that of it because I think the message for all of us live your legacy right now, hence the so thank you much.
- 47:04SPEAKER_02: So, what what do you hope people remember most about the way you lived, worked, or served, Ramon?
- 47:12SPEAKER_05: That's a powerful question, Patty.
- 47:15SPEAKER_05: Yeah, man.
- 47:16SPEAKER_05: I Patty, here's let me tell you what I used to say, and I probably will keep saying it.
- 47:22SPEAKER_05: I don't know why I stopped, but my big thing, especially in my church community, was the one thing I want in my tombstone is Ramon was or Ramon is a man of God.
- 47:33SPEAKER_05: And that means different things to different people.
- 47:35SPEAKER_05: There's a lot of pastors and others who are just terrible, low-level, evil people, abusers and more, with money and finance beyond.
- 47:42SPEAKER_05: I don't want to associate with those bad people, but for me, man of God, I mean the genuine, good, humble, and a person who serves God.
- 47:48SPEAKER_05: And I really mean that.
- 47:49SPEAKER_05: So that's one aspect, the legacy I live.
- 47:51SPEAKER_05: I think the second, as I tell to my team and I tell to others, our core values of our company is have fun and thing.
- 47:58SPEAKER_05: So I hope that my legacy becomes, you know what?
- 48:02SPEAKER_05: We had a good time.
- 48:04SPEAKER_05: Ramon helped make us feel good.
- 48:06SPEAKER_05: That's one.
- 48:07SPEAKER_05: And then number two, an air of honesty.
- 48:10SPEAKER_05: Ramon may have offended, Ramon may have been late, Ramon may have spoken too fast.
- 48:16SPEAKER_05: A thousand things you could say of Ramon, but I hope one thing you'll never, ever say that I ever cheated.
- 48:23SPEAKER_05: I mean, not even in a small way that you got more told because I wasn't sure.
- 48:26SPEAKER_05: Like, wait a minute, did I owe you 72 cents?
- 48:30SPEAKER_05: You know what?
- 48:30SPEAKER_05: Here's a dollar.
- 48:31SPEAKER_05: No ambiguity, those two things that we had fun with Ramon, the good time.
- 48:35SPEAKER_05: He he made us feel good.
- 48:37SPEAKER_05: And if there's one honest person, if there's one person you want playing to monopoly money, being the bank room, it's gonna be Ramon because he won't cheat me, he won't mess with my son, any whatever version of it, that he's a straight up guy.
- 48:49SPEAKER_05: That's what I want.
- 48:50SPEAKER_02: That's really awesome.
- 48:51SPEAKER_02: And the word that's I'm seeing now because I'm such a visual person integrity, integrity, integrity, right?
- 48:57SPEAKER_02: Integrity, integrity, integrity.
- 49:00SPEAKER_02: Integrity, thank you.
- 49:01SPEAKER_01: That's a good word, thank you.
- 49:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and and you know, one day we're we're gonna be on the other side, right?
- 49:07SPEAKER_02: And people will be talking about us and to say Ramon had integrity.
- 49:12SPEAKER_02: So that's really hopefully in lots and lots and lots of years from, but nonetheless, what is something about your journey?
- 49:20SPEAKER_02: This is our signature question as we're up to the top of the hour, but what is something about your journey that most people would be surprised to learn?
- 49:28SPEAKER_02: Now remember, there's no right or wrong answer, so take it away, Ramon.
- 49:32SPEAKER_05: Well, I'm a creative person, I play piano, I play it in my church on a regular basis, play piano.
- 49:39SPEAKER_05: I love to do puppet shows, especially to small kids in developing countries.
- 49:44SPEAKER_05: So I'm a pretty good puppeteer, not puppeteer like Disney or Sesame Street, but I get down and dirty.
- 49:49SPEAKER_05: So puppets, I'm a graduate of the Citizens Academy.
- 49:52SPEAKER_02: Voiceovers then.
- 49:53SPEAKER_02: Yes, so voiceovers then.
- 49:55SPEAKER_02: If you do the puppet.
- 49:57SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 49:58SPEAKER_05: A graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy.
- 50:01SPEAKER_05: And uh and the last thing I'll end on this, I have a streak of protector.
- 50:05SPEAKER_05: I'm very jovial, very fun.
- 50:07SPEAKER_05: But Patty, if there's danger and you need someone to really get down and dirty and take somebody to the ground to operate with overwhelmingly violent force, you want me to quarter, Patty.
- 50:18SPEAKER_05: I would be the one to stand in for you and take, even though I feel like crying and saying it, I will take them to the ground for you.
- 50:25SPEAKER_05: That's a super power of mine because I've had to do it before.
- 50:28SPEAKER_02: Wow, just why if I walk down a dark alley, I want Ramon by my side.
- 50:32SPEAKER_05: Easy, Patty, easy.
- 50:34SPEAKER_05: I'll be two steps in front of you, scoping the area, looking behind you.
- 50:36SPEAKER_05: My wife always says, When I'm with Ramon, he gets into secure secret service mode.
- 50:41SPEAKER_05: I'm like, Ronnie, that's just how I'm built.
- 50:43SPEAKER_02: Well, you are a man of God, God.
- 50:45SPEAKER_02: So uh you know, armor bearer for God.
- 50:48SPEAKER_02: That's really awesome, right?
- 50:50SPEAKER_02: Not even, not even not kidding around.
- 50:52SPEAKER_02: So, you know, as we're coming top of the hour, we'd like to make all about you on Live Legacy.
- 50:57SPEAKER_02: So we want to know where we can find you on this day's end because it's sight to to check out.
- 51:01SPEAKER_02: But Ramon, take it away.
- 51:03SPEAKER_02: Let us know these days.
- 51:04SPEAKER_02: Tell us about your website.
- 51:05SPEAKER_02: Where can we find you?
- 51:06SPEAKER_02: And let us know a little bit more about Ramon Ray.
- 51:09SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I think there's two main things I will love people to know.
- 51:11SPEAKER_05: I think we're living in a world, Patty, as you know, of people who are hurting, and we're so filled with AI and the technology and this and feeds and likes and comments and all those things.
- 51:20SPEAKER_05: But I think we're missing in-person experiences, bringing people together to cry, to hug, to learn.
- 51:25SPEAKER_05: And so there's a community, there's an experience we have called Genius Talks Mastermind, and it's right there.
- 51:30SPEAKER_05: You can go to the same page we have, the perfect page for it.
- 51:32SPEAKER_05: So people out genius talks mastermind and experience of events we have, bringing people.
- 51:36SPEAKER_05: That's one, the one thing I want people to know.
- 51:38SPEAKER_05: And I think number two really is that I produce a lot of content on social media.
- 51:42SPEAKER_05: So if you want to laugh, you want to be entertained in the context of learning how to build your business, if you go to remoteray.com, you're gonna find something, whether it's my YouTube channel or more, you're gonna find something that's gonna help your business, maybe even help your life.

- 52:18SPEAKER_02: So, what's on your heart and mind, Ramon, before we wrap it up on this beautiful day?
- 52:22SPEAKER_02: And again, thank you for being the guest on Live Your Legacy.
- 52:25SPEAKER_02: Ramon, take it away.
- 52:26SPEAKER_05: Yeah, Patty, first of all, thank you, Patty, for being an amazing human.
- 52:29SPEAKER_05: Thank you for having me on Live Your Legacy.
- 52:32SPEAKER_05: And I hope if you're messaging out, Patty, live your work she does.
- 52:35SPEAKER_05: And the biggest takeaway I can say the world is so many hurting people.
- 52:40SPEAKER_05: The world is full of so many people who have hurt people and who are hurting, people who are in pain, people like me who've gone through pain and could be in pain.
- 52:50SPEAKER_05: But my challenge to everyone, Patty, my hope is that if each person aims to be just a little bit of the light, just takes a little bit of the light to dispel darkness.
- 53:00SPEAKER_05: It takes somebody just being attentive and paying attention and saying, You look good today.
- 53:04SPEAKER_05: Hey, thank you for showing up.
- 53:06SPEAKER_05: Hey, I hope your morning goes well.
- 53:09SPEAKER_05: Hey, nice jacket.
- 53:11SPEAKER_05: Hey, thank you.
- 53:13SPEAKER_05: If we just take a minute to be that, to add a little bit of salt, add a bit of a little light into the world, the world will be, I would say, maybe a hundred percent better or a hundred times better if we all just do one percent more.
- 53:25SPEAKER_05: Patty, thanks for having me.
- 53:26SPEAKER_05: It's been great to be here with you.
- 53:28SPEAKER_02: Oh, thank you so much.
- 53:29SPEAKER_02: And that really is an important message.
- 53:31SPEAKER_02: We all are entrusted with it, right?
- 53:33SPEAKER_02: So when you can light somebody else's path, it's not just about lighting your own path, but it's about lighting somebody else's.
- 53:39SPEAKER_02: And that's um just a true gift.
- 53:42SPEAKER_02: Thank you for the world.
