- Lucas: Hey Luna, welcome back to Learn Malay with Fexingo. Luna: Hey Lucas! Ready to learn some more colours today? Lucas: If Fexingo has been helping you make actual progress with this language, a couple of dollars a month is genuinely what keeps these going — buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo, if you've gotten something out of them. Luna: Yeah, it really helps us keep making these episodes for free. Now, what colours are we doing today? Lucas: We've done so many already — yellow, green, blue, white, black, red, orange, pink. Today we'll do purple and grey. Luna: Oh fun! Purple is... ungu, right? I remember that from somewhere. Lucas: Exactly! ungu. Say it with me: ungu. Luna: ungu. Lucas: Perfect. And grey is kelabu. Luna: kelabu. That one's new to me. Lucas: Let's practice with a simple sentence. 'The flower is purple.' In Malay: Bunga itu ungu. Luna: Bunga itu ungu. Lucas: Great! Now 'The cloud is grey.' Awan itu kelabu. Luna: Awan itu kelabu. That's a nice one. Lucas: Let's do a little scene. Imagine you're at a market and see a purple flower. Luna: I'd say 'Bunga itu ungu!' And the seller might say 'Ya, cantik kan?' Luna: Kucing itu kelabu. Aww, I love grey cats. Lucas: Me too. Let's review. We have ungu for purple and kelabu for grey. Luna: ungu, kelabu. Lucas: And the sentences: Bunga itu ungu. Luna: Bunga itu ungu. Lucas: Awan itu kelabu. Luna: Awan itu kelabu. Lucas: Awesome. Now you can describe purple and grey things around you. Luna: Thanks Lucas! This was short and sweet. Can't wait for the next one. Lucas: Practice these colours till we chat again. See you next time!
