- 0:05Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous, it is La La Can Welcome to the
- 0:08Speaker 1: bonus episode of the Give Them La La podcast.
- 0:11Speaker 2: I just felt the.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Need to have today's bonus episode be about news and headlines,
- 0:19Speaker 1: because I feel like our lives are a headline these days.
- 0:24Speaker 1: So much is going on in the world, and I
- 0:27Speaker 1: just wanted to do like a little bit of a
- 0:30Speaker 1: throwback or it can be current. What headlines do you
- 0:33Speaker 1: remember super super vividly. You remember where you were when
- 0:38Speaker 1: you heard the news, how old you were, like just
- 0:41Speaker 1: every detail is just stuck in the front of your mind.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Now.
- 0:48Speaker 1: They wrote in my friends, mom, I call them my friends.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Our listeners wrote in amazing headlines that actually brought me
- 0:56Speaker 1: back to like, oh my gosh, I remember that so well.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Like I remember I was modeling Maggie Setaro. Oh wow, yes,
- 1:07Speaker 1: in Salt Lake City, Utah.
- 1:09Speaker 2: You guys prom dresses.
- 1:12Speaker 1: And I remember hearing the news that Farah Fawcett had died.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Someone came in and said that she had passed away,
- 1:20Speaker 1: but Michael Jackson died on the same day, and then
- 1:23Speaker 1: Farah Fawcett's passing was a little bit outshadowed by Michael
- 1:28Speaker 1: Jackson's passing and I remember someone running in as we're
- 1:32Speaker 1: like clicking right, We're in a huge studio and I'm
- 1:36Speaker 1: standing on like three apple boxes because I'm everyone thinks
- 1:40Speaker 1: I'm very tall. When people meet me in person, They're like,
- 1:42Speaker 1: you're so short compared to what I thought you would be.
- 1:46Speaker 1: So they had me on really uh stacked up apple
- 1:50Speaker 1: boxes to make me taller. And I remember almost passing
- 1:53Speaker 1: out because my knees buckled. I forgot to like not
- 1:56Speaker 1: buckle my knees after the news, Yes, and we just
- 2:00Speaker 1: started playing Michael Jackson music the rest of the day,
- 2:03Speaker 1: and then from there went to Lake Powell with my
- 2:06Speaker 1: fine looking boyfriend at the time and only played Michael
- 2:09Speaker 1: Jackson on the boat.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Wow.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Yes, crazy, Wow, that's crazy.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Like I know, I'm like in the studio right now,
- 2:19Speaker 3: you are standing on apple boxes like I envisioning all this.
- 2:24Speaker 1: No, I That's why I wanted to ask these questions
- 2:27Speaker 1: because between Diddy and then like everything happening, and just
- 2:33Speaker 1: like Newsworthy headlines, I thought it was the perfect time.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Mom on your blue sticky note that you have them?
- 2:42Speaker 2: Do you have them?
- 2:43Speaker 3: Brian, I have a piece of paper now too.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Oh great, Okay, which ones do you remember.
- 2:47Speaker 3: I remember Princess Diana. We were in Sun Valley at
- 2:50Speaker 3: the ice skating show.
- 2:52Speaker 2: How old were Easton and I?
- 2:54Speaker 3: Your guys were little like you were, probably three or four.
- 2:58Speaker 3: I don't know what year did she? Did she pass?
- 3:01Speaker 1: I'm not sure, but we'll look it up because there's
- 3:04Speaker 1: someone wrote in the Princess Diana Passing. Yeah, and you
- 3:07Speaker 1: remember that we were in Sun Valley. We haven't been
- 3:10Speaker 1: to sun The only time we went to Sun Valley, Idaho?
- 3:12Speaker 3: Right?
- 3:13Speaker 4: She died in ninety seven.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Okay, so I was six or seven?
- 3:16Speaker 3: Yep?
- 3:17Speaker 2: Wow?
- 3:18Speaker 3: For every Labor Day, remember.
- 3:19Speaker 2: I do remember?
- 3:20Speaker 3: Yeah? And I remember you started walking on Labor Day
- 3:24Speaker 3: when you were a year old in Sun Valley.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Wow.
- 3:28Speaker 1: So it was a sentimental trip as well. Yes, okay,
- 3:30Speaker 1: so you remember Princess Diana.
- 3:32Speaker 2: What about you Easton?
- 3:33Speaker 4: Mine was the Kobe Bryant?
- 3:35Speaker 1: You stole mine? Which thing about Kobe Bryant is passing?
- 3:40Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 3:41Speaker 4: Just like where I was? Where were you? I was
- 3:44Speaker 4: at home?
- 3:45Speaker 2: Okay, shocker?
- 3:46Speaker 4: Where was home?
- 3:46Speaker 3: Though? Then?
- 3:47Speaker 5: I was in Salt Lake City, Utah, at our thirty
- 3:50Speaker 5: six forty eight home, okay, our first home. Yeah. I
- 3:53Speaker 5: was like cleaning the basement because wow, two shockers.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Yeah, life, it's different. You weren't here, now, I don't
- 4:03Speaker 4: think I was here. You were here. I was preparing
- 4:06Speaker 4: the house for There's no.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Way you want to know how I know?
- 4:09Speaker 1: Tell me because I heard about his passing. We were
- 4:12Speaker 1: on a private jet leaving Salt Lake. We were at
- 4:17Speaker 1: sun Dance. We got the news and we were in
- 4:20Speaker 1: the air. We had just taken off and everyone was
- 4:22Speaker 1: freaking out that the phones wouldn't that the plane wouldn't
- 4:25Speaker 1: have Wi Fi, or that the WiFi wouldn't work. We
- 4:27Speaker 1: were headed to I believe it was Ohio to start
- 4:31Speaker 1: shooting a movie, and everyone was sitting there going Rick
- 4:35Speaker 1: Fox was on the on the uh chopper too. That's
- 4:39Speaker 1: what everyone's saying is Rick Fox was on the chopper.
- 4:41Speaker 1: And my ex gets a text back from Rick Fox
- 4:46Speaker 1: saying like, no, it's wild that everyone thinks that I'm
- 4:50Speaker 1: dead right now?
- 4:51Speaker 3: Wow?
- 4:51Speaker 1: And I so you I were you with me. I
- 4:57Speaker 1: feel like you might have been with me flying to
- 4:59Speaker 1: a high. You know you were because I remember you
- 5:01Speaker 1: staying in my room.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Yeah, because I know I was alone, because I was
- 5:04Speaker 5: like cleaning the house because me and mom were in
- 5:07Speaker 5: talks of moving elsewhere. So I was like just mindlessly
- 5:12Speaker 5: going through life because dad had just kind of passed too.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, so oh my god.
- 5:17Speaker 4: We're going through life. So then that happened, I was like, oh, no, the.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Girl dad, the girl dad. I remember that that was mine.
- 5:26Speaker 4: No, I won't forget.
- 5:27Speaker 5: I was watching TV downstairs in the basement as I
- 5:30Speaker 5: was cleaning and vacuumating all this, and then the TV
- 5:33Speaker 5: show just went off and it went into ESPN and
- 5:36Speaker 5: all the news and they were like, we have breaking news.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Kobe Bryant has passed in a helicopter. And I was like,
- 5:42Speaker 5: this isn't real. And then I got on my phone
- 5:44Speaker 5: and I just sat on the couch. And then right
- 5:46Speaker 5: after that happened, my ex girlfriend or my girlfriend at
- 5:49Speaker 5: the time, came over and then we put Pablo and Bernie,
- 5:52Speaker 5: my pitbulls.
- 5:52Speaker 4: We put him in Kobe Bryant jerseys. Oh I think
- 5:56Speaker 4: I have a picture of him too.
- 5:57Speaker 2: I love that Kobe Bryant. It was my childhood crush. Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 4: The thing that sucks.
- 6:04Speaker 5: About Kobe Bryant is we got the best of Kobe Bryant,
- 6:07Speaker 5: and I think we were about to get the greatest
- 6:10Speaker 5: of Kobe Bryant when he was retired. Really he missed
- 6:13Speaker 5: prime Kobe.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Oh and why do you say that?
- 6:15Speaker 1: Because of what he was doing for women's basketball basketball.
- 6:18Speaker 5: He was going to be an amazing announcer. He was
- 6:20Speaker 5: like he could have been a coach. Like I feel
- 6:23Speaker 5: like he did everything that he needed to do in
- 6:25Speaker 5: his career and he was just about to be a
- 6:27Speaker 5: dad and that was going to be.
- 6:28Speaker 4: The greatest of his time. Like yeah, he was going
- 6:31Speaker 4: to do and just like just.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Like the ground where he would lay for me or
- 6:36Speaker 5: people like, you know, just like I'm a uncle to
- 6:39Speaker 5: two girls. Like there was a lot of things that
- 6:41Speaker 5: he was doing that I was like, I could start
- 6:43Speaker 5: to do that.
- 6:44Speaker 1: No, he definitely was putting women's sports on the map.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And there's a girl I think her name is Sabrina
- 6:55Speaker 1: and she plays I'm Blinking on her okay, who attributes
- 7:01Speaker 1: her basketball career to Kobe Bryant, and she she said
- 7:06Speaker 1: she still texts him his phone to this day. Because
- 7:10Speaker 1: you know, Kobe put together that the Mamba Facility where
- 7:15Speaker 1: his daughter played, and a lot of great athletes, female
- 7:19Speaker 1: athletes came out of there.
- 7:21Speaker 5: So I think you're right, and we lost I in
- 7:23Speaker 5: my opinion an athlete that was going to be one
- 7:27Speaker 5: of the greatest WNBA players in Gigi.
- 7:30Speaker 1: That just sent chills all over my body, that went
- 7:32Speaker 1: to my head. She was going to be special, Oh East,
- 7:37Speaker 1: And I love that that I share that with you,
- 7:40Speaker 1: that I remember.
- 7:41Speaker 5: That all those girls on that helicopter, like that whole team,
- 7:44Speaker 5: Like there was just something about Kobe's presence that I
- 7:46Speaker 5: knew all those girls were going to have a chance
- 7:48Speaker 5: of greatness.
- 7:50Speaker 4: They had a lot of hope and a lot of
- 7:51Speaker 4: greatness ahead of them with Kobe Bryant, and I.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Think they were going to a game right they were. Ye,
- 7:57Speaker 1: it's devastating. A lot of people that wrote in these
- 8:01Speaker 1: headlines are like intense. It has to do with passing,
- 8:05Speaker 1: you know, celebrities that died for whatever reason. And it
- 8:09Speaker 1: got me to thinking, it's so wild that most things
- 8:12Speaker 1: that are not devastating don't ever get a ton of headlines.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Yeah, isn't it wild?
- 8:20Speaker 1: Like the ones that stick with you are the ones
- 8:22Speaker 1: that are really like traumatic or like a big freaking scandal.
- 8:27Speaker 1: So I do want to say that something that made
- 8:30Speaker 1: headlines this week is that Beyonce has now been is
- 8:34Speaker 1: the most nominated artist for Grammys in history.
- 8:40Speaker 3: That's phenomenal.
- 8:42Speaker 2: It's pretty incredible.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Right, bad bitch right there, this person, said Jean Benet Ramsey.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I remember that one too.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I was very young with this one too, and I
- 8:51Speaker 1: remember being terrified because she was a young girl and
- 8:54Speaker 1: I was a young girl, and I remember sitting there
- 8:56Speaker 1: being like, oh my gosh, there's people out there that
- 8:59Speaker 1: are snaw little girls and killing them.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Right, and they never caught who did it.
- 9:04Speaker 2: No, that is what.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Is I'm dumbfounded. I don't understand with DNA the whole
- 9:11Speaker 3: nine yards.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Well, I think the problem was that the crime scene
- 9:15Speaker 1: was just not perfect, you know, and one one little mistake.
- 9:20Speaker 1: We watch a lot of twenty twenty in Dateline, do
- 9:23Speaker 1: one little mistake, one detective going in and touching something
- 9:28Speaker 1: changes the whole entire case. So it's wild that still
- 9:33Speaker 1: to this day it's unsolved.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Waking up to Princess Diana's death.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Do you guys remember Anthony Bourdain? No?
- 9:44Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, when he passed.
- 9:47Speaker 5: I don't remember, like all but the chef. Yeah, he
- 9:51Speaker 5: was like travel and eat great foods.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Oh that's right, yeah, yeah.
- 9:54Speaker 4: I remember.
- 9:55Speaker 5: I remember when he'd I don't remember where I was,
- 9:58Speaker 5: But I remember, like because I always watched like Cooking
- 10:00Speaker 5: Channel and stuff, and they were always like in dedication
- 10:03Speaker 5: to him and stuff. So I remember that for like
- 10:05Speaker 5: a good month of of news.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Yeah, and all of that, but sad, very sad jfk
- 10:13Speaker 3: jus plane crash.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Oh where were you?
- 10:16Speaker 3: I was at home?
- 10:19Speaker 1: Wow, a lot of big news coming to the Birmingham
- 10:23Speaker 1: household while we're at home cleaning?
- 10:25Speaker 2: What okay?
- 10:27Speaker 4: And it were productivity?
- 10:28Speaker 2: Was it?
- 10:28Speaker 1: Like?
- 10:29Speaker 2: How did you find out?
- 10:29Speaker 1: Because back then we didn't have social media, you didn't okay,
- 10:32Speaker 1: so you had on the news? Wow, isn't it wild
- 10:38Speaker 1: to think? So as I was looking up headlines, I
- 10:43Speaker 1: googled naturally, I would say, like Kim Kardashian, Mary's Kanye
- 10:48Speaker 1: West headline, and it was all just.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Like internet pictures.
- 10:53Speaker 1: But then I googled Menendez brother headlines and newspaper articles
- 10:59Speaker 1: came up.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Just such a.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Shift in how news got to us back then and
- 11:03Speaker 1: how it gets to us.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Now and so quickly now, well, now.
- 11:07Speaker 1: You can't even process what's happened because one thing happens
- 11:10Speaker 1: and twenty minutes later something else happens. Blessing and occurs
- 11:14Speaker 1: by the way for the reality TV world because something
- 11:16Speaker 1: happens in my life where I'm like, it's the end
- 11:18Speaker 1: of the world, and then one of my cast members
- 11:20Speaker 1: does something more fucked up and I'm like, oh, thank god,
- 11:21Speaker 1: it's over. It's well, I think it's very true. Okay,
- 11:28Speaker 1: So you were at home vacuum me. Yes, and then
- 11:32Speaker 1: that was brought even onto Housewives with Radzy.
- 11:35Speaker 3: That's right. Yeah, you know what. JFK Junior was kind
- 11:39Speaker 3: of royalty in the US.
- 11:41Speaker 1: You know, of course it was royalty, and it was
- 11:44Speaker 1: it was very tragic what he is.
- 11:48Speaker 2: In the ocean yep.
- 11:50Speaker 3: And he had his wife on board and his wife's sister.
- 11:54Speaker 1: But also was he the one pictured with his the
- 11:59Speaker 1: wrong hands saluting or something.
- 12:01Speaker 3: He was the little three year old that was saluting
- 12:04Speaker 3: his father at the funeral.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Okay, so that's the same person. Yes, Wow, two very.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Tragic deaths in the same family. Yes, am I doing that? Right?
- 12:15Speaker 2: Is that was JFK. Was he the one that was
- 12:17Speaker 2: shot in the head.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Yes, JFK and then his little boys.
- 12:20Speaker 2: JFK Junior, who was the plane the plane crash.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Chrissy b seventies said the Biggie and Tupac murders. I
- 12:29Speaker 1: was very very young when that happened. You guys know
- 12:34Speaker 1: how much I love Tupac, like borderline obsessed. But my
- 12:41Speaker 1: sister in law, Cheryl, who was in the room when
- 12:42Speaker 1: Sosa was born, she remembers being on a bus to
- 12:46Speaker 1: school in San Francisco and getting the news and she
- 12:49Speaker 1: said it was like people just completely missed school, didn't
- 12:55Speaker 1: show up, and that the news came through the radio
- 12:59Speaker 1: in like the yellow school bus wow, and people lost
- 13:04Speaker 1: their minds sobbing. And I thought that that was really
- 13:08Speaker 1: interesting that she could remember exactly where she was during
- 13:11Speaker 1: that too. The next one that I have is Britney
- 13:15Speaker 1: Spears had shaved Okay, a little lighthearted, Yes, Britney Spears
- 13:18Speaker 1: shaving her head. I remember Britney Spears with the shaved head.
- 13:22Speaker 1: And also there's the paparazzi car and she's got the
- 13:24Speaker 1: umbrella where she's trying to break the wind.
- 13:27Speaker 4: That was that moment. That's of her shaving her head.
- 13:31Speaker 4: I won't forget.
- 13:32Speaker 5: I was in school, okay, and it was other, isn't it.
- 13:36Speaker 4: I don't know if you remember there was.
- 13:38Speaker 5: One kid or a couple of kids with the iPhone
- 13:41Speaker 5: or the Internet on their phone.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Not everyone had it. So these kids were how old
- 13:45Speaker 4: were we?
- 13:46Speaker 2: How old were we?
- 13:47Speaker 5: Like?
- 13:47Speaker 2: Where were if the iPhone?
- 13:48Speaker 1: I was in seven? I was seventeen. I think when
- 13:51Speaker 1: I got my first iPhone.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Let's see when she shaved her head, because what I remember.
- 13:55Speaker 2: You know what's wild?
- 13:56Speaker 1: Though, there are many moments that I experienced on the
- 14:00Speaker 1: low level of celebrity that I do have where I go,
- 14:05Speaker 1: fuck this, I have zero control of my life.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I need to shave my head or something.
- 14:10Speaker 4: No, I totally in two thousand and seven.
- 14:13Speaker 2: In two thousand and seven, so I was seventeen.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I do not blame her at all for being like
- 14:18Speaker 1: I have no control over my life. I'm shaving my
- 14:22Speaker 1: freaking head because I'm just annoyed.
- 14:25Speaker 2: You know, and I'm gonna WIT's end, WIT's end.
- 14:28Speaker 5: I just remember people at school coming up and like
- 14:31Speaker 5: going like, did you see Britney Spears? And then I
- 14:33Speaker 5: just see the photo of her with a shaved heads. See,
- 14:35Speaker 5: that's how I remember it, just at school.
- 14:37Speaker 3: You've seen her documentaries and how she's just like like
- 14:42Speaker 3: the paparazzi, they don't leave her alone.
- 14:45Speaker 2: No, I truly cannot imagine.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Like I don't blame her for shaving her head.
- 14:49Speaker 1: No, I don't either, And they would follow her when
- 14:52Speaker 1: life was already really freaking hard. It wasn't like they
- 14:56Speaker 1: were following her because you know, her new album dropped
- 15:00Speaker 1: or celebrating something great.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Wanted was justin Timberlake when it was going so like,
- 15:06Speaker 5: that's when they were always doing her dirty.
- 15:09Speaker 2: No, it's disgusting. No, they really didn't.
- 15:11Speaker 1: And that's why people from all over the world had
- 15:14Speaker 1: marches for.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Brittany exactly on the date, Brittany exactly. I love this person.
- 15:20Speaker 1: So it's n Paul Marrow, who also said the Britney
- 15:24Speaker 1: Spears head shaving, but also talked about the headlines of
- 15:27Speaker 1: any time on Now that's.
- 15:29Speaker 2: What I call music. Album drops. Do you remember that? Oh?
- 15:34Speaker 2: I totally remember. It was always such a big deal
- 15:36Speaker 2: because it's like.
- 15:37Speaker 1: A new CD with lots of different songs from different people.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I gotta get it.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Kids Bop was like the other version of like, you know,
- 15:47Speaker 1: rap songs that were saying by kids and took out
- 15:50Speaker 1: the cuss words.
- 15:52Speaker 2: But now that's what I call music.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Would be like Vitamin C as we go on, and
- 15:58Speaker 1: then the next one would be like Amma it was
- 16:02Speaker 1: like a bunch of different songs and edited.
- 16:06Speaker 4: On.
- 16:07Speaker 3: That's what music seventies, eighties, nineties.
- 16:12Speaker 1: No, yes, we had, yes, they we bought well, Dad
- 16:17Speaker 1: was obsessed, that's what.
- 16:19Speaker 2: That's literally what I listened to on the way to school.
- 16:22Speaker 5: We had seven that's what I call CDs and our
- 16:25Speaker 5: seven tracks that we had.
- 16:27Speaker 2: No, literally it was it was the greatest.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Of course, it is still a.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Little bit Amonica my life. No greatest. Brandelina breakup.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I don't.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Remember that vividly, you guys either.
- 16:44Speaker 1: I remember the scandal of them like getting together.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Because he was with Jennifer's It wasn't he married to Jenniferan.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Yes, And then they did mister and Missus Smith do
- 16:57Speaker 1: you remember?
- 16:58Speaker 3: Turned into mister Andy for real?
- 17:02Speaker 1: And it did go down in flames like the end
- 17:04Speaker 1: of the movie. Yikes, that's when you have to lift
- 17:08Speaker 1: the caller. Steve comes out. Jody Arius trial. Do you
- 17:14Speaker 1: remember her? I don't remember. I actually just started watching
- 17:18Speaker 1: this one. She was like super sexy and was dating
- 17:22Speaker 1: this guy and he ends up dead. But then she
- 17:24Speaker 1: shows up to trial and she's like wearing glasses and
- 17:28Speaker 1: trying to downplay her sex appeal.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Chris Watts. I'm not remembering that either.
- 17:33Speaker 3: Lacy Peterson, Nos, Lacey, Yeah, Chris Wats.
- 17:37Speaker 5: He's the dude who killed his wife with the two kids,
- 17:41Speaker 5: isn't that Chris Watts.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Look that up because that did happen in Utah.
- 17:45Speaker 1: And if we're talking about that, I remember Super Bowl
- 17:47Speaker 1: Sunday going over to my friend's house and they cut
- 17:51Speaker 1: from the Super Bowl I think it had ended and
- 17:54Speaker 1: cut from the super Bowl and flashed too.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Chris Watts who killed his family, Oh, this.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Is a for the one and put them and put
- 18:01Speaker 2: them in the tank.
- 18:02Speaker 3: He murdered his wife, she was pregnant, and then the
- 18:06Speaker 3: two kids, and he worked in an oil.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Field and that's where he put the kids.
- 18:10Speaker 3: And he had a girlfriend.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Yes, I do remember that. And then obviously Lacy Peterson.
- 18:17Speaker 3: I don't know where I was, and yeah, Scott and Lacy.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:21Speaker 2: And that, by the way, next like.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Shivers when one went down.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Oh Shivers on thirty third City, Utah. I think it's
- 18:29Speaker 2: now a swig.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Honestly, it's thirsty, Yeah, thirsty, same freaking pain.
- 18:34Speaker 4: It really is, it really is.
- 18:37Speaker 1: And you can make him at home, you guys, don't
- 18:38Speaker 1: go spend the money. I make him every day in
- 18:41Speaker 1: my ninja thirsty they now have They now have soda flavors,
- 18:44Speaker 1: and it's become a real addiction. I'm now one of
- 18:47Speaker 1: the Mormon people who makes them.
- 18:50Speaker 2: At nine am. I'm like, oh, it's the best, It
- 18:52Speaker 2: is the best.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Yes, it's its way into the home.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not mad about it. But they released a
- 19:01Speaker 1: new doc on Netflix. This was like a month ago,
- 19:04Speaker 1: and then they came out with Scott's version on Peacock
- 19:07Speaker 1: and it made him look even worse.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Like you were guilty to begin with, but now you're
- 19:13Speaker 3: even super like you've put the nail in the coffin.
- 19:16Speaker 1: No, truly, And it's not even that they pointed us
- 19:18Speaker 1: in a direction of who it could be. They just
- 19:19Speaker 1: wanted to give us enough pieces on why they were
- 19:22Speaker 1: just giving us reasonable doubt to release him. Yeah, and
- 19:25Speaker 1: it's like, no, no, no, no, no, I'm gonna need
- 19:27Speaker 1: someone else to be responsible, not just a bunch of
- 19:30Speaker 1: other things that could clear your name.
- 19:32Speaker 3: I mean, he was looking at the currents of where
- 19:35Speaker 3: he dumped the body.
- 19:36Speaker 2: No, buddy, you killed your wife. Get over it. You're
- 19:39Speaker 2: in prison.
- 19:40Speaker 1: No one's letting you out, all right, It's time to
- 19:42Speaker 1: come to terms.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Yes, guilty.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I would like the new breaking news headline to say
- 19:49Speaker 1: Scott Peterson comes to terms with the fact that he's
- 19:52Speaker 1: never getting out of prison. All right, give me that documentary.
- 19:55Speaker 1: That's one I can get down with. Wait, unpopular A
- 19:59Speaker 1: pin you guys, I like this one because we talked
- 20:02Speaker 1: about this on uh the episode the regular episode unpopular
- 20:07Speaker 1: opinion on headlines don't give two f's about celebrity babies
- 20:11Speaker 1: minus yours, Obby, That's what they said, Thank you, Joe
- 20:15Speaker 1: Mini underscore as we.
- 20:16Speaker 5: Just talked about in the other episode, how you just
- 20:18Speaker 5: want to see the baby.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I don't sit here and show me like you give
- 20:23Speaker 1: birth and you show like the hand and then months
- 20:25Speaker 1: go by and I'm now looking at your baby from behind.
- 20:28Speaker 2: I now can see it's getting some hair walking clearly.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Now I don't give a shit.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Now I've moved on to see there's more babies to see.
- 20:41Speaker 1: You know, I'm a fan of the one week a
- 20:44Speaker 1: one week you're at home with your baby.
- 20:46Speaker 5: I don't want to see it before one week. Honestly,
- 20:49Speaker 5: why other people's why, let's just get.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Them baked out of the oven, get the air to them.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Okay, I get that because they do come out and they're.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Like for other people's, like for your baby or you know.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Yeah, they kind of attached to our babies.
- 21:07Speaker 4: But like the smartest.
- 21:09Speaker 5: Family is I want to see my family's babies, So
- 21:13Speaker 5: you think for other people once they come out, because
- 21:16Speaker 5: they are speaker too, and then show them the good
- 21:19Speaker 5: photo when like they're not red and alien looking.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, anytime you have your own baby, you
- 21:26Speaker 1: think it's the most gorgeous thing in the world, and
- 21:27Speaker 1: then you kind of go back after seeing your baby
- 21:30Speaker 1: out of the womb. It has like some uh some cheeks.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Now it's got some weight to them. I used to think,
- 21:37Speaker 1: and you're like, oh gosh, it was a little alien.
- 21:39Speaker 5: Like I used to think all babies were ugly and
- 21:42Speaker 5: tell her and now I find beauty and all babies
- 21:46Speaker 5: that's just different.
- 21:47Speaker 4: And they're also they really are.
- 21:50Speaker 1: They are, and they deserve to look a little funky
- 21:53Speaker 1: when they came out, because how traumatizing could you imagine
- 21:55Speaker 1: remembering coming through the.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Birth out of a hole and then just hit no for.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Real though, traumatizing. That's why you don't remember.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Thank God put me back in there. O. J.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Simpson, Oh I remember where I was. I was at Porcupine,
- 22:14Speaker 3: and I was cheering him to get away. How sad
- 22:17Speaker 3: is that because you didn't believe. I did not believe
- 22:21Speaker 3: he did it.
- 22:22Speaker 2: And now that's that's breaking news. That's a headlight in itself.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Cheering for O. J. Simpson to get away in his
- 22:28Speaker 2: white bronco.
- 22:30Speaker 3: But then mon, the whole restaurant was because they had everywhere.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Wow, No, but I think it was beyond that. I mean,
- 22:43Speaker 1: he hadn't gone to trial yet, then what was it like?
- 22:48Speaker 3: You know what? Really I cannot get down with where
- 22:51Speaker 3: they had him try on the gloves over nine gloves
- 22:54Speaker 3: over a plastic glove. Well, when leather gets wet drenched
- 22:59Speaker 3: in blood there, obviously it's not gonna fet.
- 23:01Speaker 4: No, the blood was not.
- 23:05Speaker 3: The clinger for me at all.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Well that's because you have a brain. They would not
- 23:10Speaker 2: want you on the jury, buddy, Not at all.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Dismissed.
- 23:14Speaker 2: But I remember that, you know, that was a wild
- 23:16Speaker 2: one though.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Jenna Willis was on the the show Law and Order
- 23:21Speaker 1: OJ versus the People, and they had those jury members
- 23:26Speaker 1: in lockdown for a very long time.
- 23:30Speaker 2: From what that that show showed lockdown because you can't or.
- 23:37Speaker 1: You can't leave the room because you can't let the
- 23:38Speaker 1: media sway you. So they were in this hotel, like
- 23:43Speaker 1: you know, an area where they hold like banquets, like
- 23:47Speaker 1: a banquet hall.
- 23:47Speaker 5: Room from what the show showed, and didn't even have
- 23:51Speaker 5: internet or anything, right, they couldn't read about it.
- 23:53Speaker 2: No, they couldn't have it.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Yeah, they had no news. It was just up to
- 23:56Speaker 4: them reading about the case and then coming up with
- 23:59Speaker 4: their own. But they were in there for how long?
- 24:02Speaker 1: It was a very long time. I'm gonna leave us
- 24:05Speaker 1: on two thousand and eight. Tiger Woods cheating on his wife.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I remember.
- 24:11Speaker 1: That, dude, I remember that too. And didn't she like
- 24:15Speaker 1: take a golf club to his car?
- 24:17Speaker 3: She sure did a very shuit, very fitting, very fairy fitting.
- 24:22Speaker 3: You go, girl.
- 24:22Speaker 1: You see you can nail a ball with a night iron,
- 24:25Speaker 1: watch me nail your head with one, motherfucker.
- 24:28Speaker 3: And she was I thought, so darling, I mean, nowhere
- 24:31Speaker 3: as a person.
- 24:32Speaker 4: But he was just out there playing nineteen holes.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Yeah he was nineteen. He was playing thirty six a day,
- 24:40Speaker 2: isn't it eighteen holes?
- 24:41Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 24:41Speaker 3: But he got a vice around the course that's thirty six, Yes,
- 24:44Speaker 3: thank you mom.
- 24:45Speaker 5: He would just play the course once, but he'd make
- 24:47Speaker 5: sure to hit thirty six holes.
- 24:48Speaker 2: No, that was wasn't it with the nanny?
- 24:51Speaker 4: Yes?
- 24:51Speaker 2: What the fuck is going on with these men?
- 24:53Speaker 4: With the mayne to call and leave the voicemail? No,
- 24:57Speaker 4: delete all your information?
- 24:59Speaker 2: No it was that girl.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Yeah, No, she wasn't the name you could tell, right,
- 25:02Speaker 3: Tiger Wood's wife used to be a nanny for one
- 25:06Speaker 3: of their friends.
- 25:07Speaker 1: But wasn't it you could tell the girl who was
- 25:10Speaker 1: sleeping with with Tiger Woods.
- 25:14Speaker 4: I never looked up the women she was.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Sticking with Rachel. You could tell you guys, correct me
- 25:21Speaker 2: if that's not right.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I want to leave off actually with one more sports
- 25:25Speaker 1: one that I do remember vividly as well, the lamar
- 25:28Speaker 1: Odom overdose. I saw him the other day in Sherman
- 25:34Speaker 1: Oaks his own.
- 25:36Speaker 4: T shirt, wearing his own T shirt.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I was like, look at this way tall guy and
- 25:40Speaker 1: this lamar Otem T shirt. That's interesting, socks and slides,
- 25:44Speaker 1: and I'm taking my kid. We're like going to candy Land,
- 25:48Speaker 1: which is like a fun little place that you take
- 25:50Speaker 1: your kids, right, And I'm like that lamar Odom in
- 25:54Speaker 1: his own T shirt.
- 25:55Speaker 2: It's giving Wala Kent five. Some should I would do?
- 25:59Speaker 4: Some should I day that you still do?
- 26:01Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 26:02Speaker 2: I know someone needs to.
- 26:04Speaker 4: You know, someone has to support me.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Who better than me.
- 26:08Speaker 3: We've got ocean wrapping you now too. With the T shirts.
- 26:11Speaker 1: By the way, it's embarrassing. I send her to school
- 26:13Speaker 1: in T shirts with my face on them. And by
- 26:16Speaker 1: the way, this is a PSA. I am not the
- 26:18Speaker 1: one choosing these shirts to wear. She's obsessed with them.
- 26:22Speaker 1: So she does that.
- 26:25Speaker 3: I know she does, not me. No, she puts on
- 26:28Speaker 3: what she wants to wear every day and I let her.
- 26:30Speaker 3: And if it's Mama on her T shirt, so be it.
- 26:33Speaker 1: You know, like just goes back to surviving. This was
- 26:35Speaker 1: a very fun episode. They they're all so fun, right,
- 26:41Speaker 1: we had to come here and call it work. And
- 26:43Speaker 1: I just want to thank you guys for sticking with
- 26:45Speaker 1: us for so long because we're about to wrap up
- 26:48Speaker 1: a year. I mean, we are venturing into the holiday
- 26:50Speaker 1: season and it's getting I know how it can be.
- 26:53Speaker 2: It gets stressful.
- 26:55Speaker 1: It is not how it once was where we got
- 26:57Speaker 1: to walk down and believe in Santa Clause.
- 27:00Speaker 2: We are now Santa Claus.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Any kids listening, Santa Claus is alive and well, can't
- 27:05Speaker 1: wait to come to your house.
- 27:07Speaker 4: You can now call him, so you better be on
- 27:09Speaker 4: the good list.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Yes, I'm I'm now calling Santa Claus still with Ocean,
- 27:15Speaker 1: and she's still just as terrified, which is great news
- 27:18Speaker 1: for me. I love you, guys, Thank you for listening
- 27:21Speaker 1: to another bonus episode of the Give Them Lalla podcast.
