- 0:00Speaker 1: Good morning, Selene, Good morning. What's going on?
- 0:04Speaker 2: So I had to call you guys and tell you
- 0:06Speaker 2: the story because this is so funny. So my ex
- 0:10Speaker 2: and I ended pretty badly. He sucks, you know that
- 0:13Speaker 2: whole thing, and so he randomly texted me asking for
- 0:17Speaker 2: his hoodie back. So I was like, oh, absolutely, I
- 0:21Speaker 2: will make sure you get that hoodie back. But before
- 0:24Speaker 2: I gave it to him, I sprayed it with my
- 0:26Speaker 2: signature perfume. But like, I didn't do you know, one
- 0:30Speaker 2: or two sprays. I'm talking like, I aggressively sprayed this hoodie,
- 0:34Speaker 2: like baptizing it. So I give it.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Back, move on.
- 0:39Speaker 2: And a few days later he text me panicking like
- 0:43Speaker 2: what did you do to that hoodie? Turns out he
- 0:47Speaker 2: has a new girlfriend. She smelled it, and now she's
- 0:51Speaker 2: convinced he's cheating on her because it smells like another girl.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Your boyfriend with a hoodie, and it smells like like
- 0:59Speaker 4: a really sexy girl. You're gonna be like, oh no, how.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Does he even defend that?
- 1:03Speaker 3: You can't say, oh, I talked to my ex, like
- 1:06Speaker 3: what are you gonna say?
- 1:07Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:08Speaker 2: Right, So that's what he's been trying to do. He's
- 1:10Speaker 2: been trying to explain saying no, it's just my ex.
- 1:13Speaker 2: But obviously that's not helping this case at all. Right,
- 1:16Speaker 2: so you know, say, you know, I'm not proud of this,
- 1:19Speaker 2: but I am a little proud of it. So I
- 1:22Speaker 2: know he had a new girlfriend.
- 1:24Speaker 6: That's an unintended bonus for you. I feel like, yeah,
- 1:27Speaker 6: you weren't out to ruin anything, but you kind of
- 1:29Speaker 6: mess things up.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Right, It's hilarious. Well, what I have left my mark?
- 1:34Speaker 1: What brand of perfume? Did you take it? In?
- 1:38Speaker 3: Chanel and a fancy perfume? You were really trying to
- 1:42Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:44Speaker 1: A lot of body works got a fifteen dollars per
- 1:48Speaker 1: Can you throw that in a washer and get it out?
- 1:49Speaker 1: Or no? He is probably yeah, probably I had.
- 1:52Speaker 7: I had a car one time, this really cool car
- 1:54Speaker 7: I really really liked, and I let a guy borrow
- 1:56Speaker 7: my car and he smoked a cigar in it, and
- 2:00Speaker 7: he had cologne in it and I could never get
- 2:02Speaker 7: it out.
- 2:02Speaker 3: That's different though, like you had smoke. Now, like an
- 2:06Speaker 3: element like that holds onto everything.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Just like I think like upholstery or like you know,
- 2:10Speaker 4: like the leather, if it's leather or whatever, it kind
- 2:12Speaker 4: of sticks it in and holds onto it.
- 2:14Speaker 1: You can't really like put it through the washing.
- 2:16Speaker 7: I had it detailed over and over again, and it
- 2:18Speaker 7: was just the worst smell of he overdid it.
- 2:21Speaker 1: So I just wondered if you have.
- 2:22Speaker 7: This favorite hoodie, like, I mean, I'm assuming did you
- 2:24Speaker 7: just drop it off of the front door or did
- 2:26Speaker 7: you mail it to him in a box or a bag?
- 2:28Speaker 1: Like how'd you do it?
- 2:29Speaker 2: No, we hadn't met up, and I just passed it
- 2:31Speaker 2: to I'm in a bag okay, so it was like
- 2:33Speaker 2: in the bag still just for messing in the perfume.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Thanks, thanks for calling him. Have a great day, you do?
- 2:44Speaker 8: Did they say there hasn't been anybody on this show
- 2:56Speaker 8: in a long time?
- 2:57Speaker 1: Rich since there was a breakup in relationship? Was the
- 3:00Speaker 1: last breakup on the show that I was like thirteen
- 3:03Speaker 1: years ago? I think so? Right? Yeah?
- 3:06Speaker 7: But job everyone, when you did break up? Did you
- 3:09Speaker 7: have a breakup food? Was there a go chee?
- 3:11Speaker 1: Yeah? Really? Yeah?
- 3:12Speaker 6: I remember, like you know, the the I don't live
- 3:15Speaker 6: here anymore thing? And the first thing I downed was
- 3:19Speaker 6: a complete tub of strawberry ice cream.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Oh really, any particular brand?
- 3:23Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 3:23Speaker 6: Absolutely, it was the Brier's brand, not dryers, but strawberry
- 3:29Speaker 6: because had the chunks of strawberries and it was not
- 3:32Speaker 6: a little tub. I mean it was like maybe half
- 3:34Speaker 6: a gallon.
- 3:35Speaker 7: I had this article here. It's the most terrible stomach
- 3:37Speaker 7: the most popular breakup food in every state. And according
- 3:40Speaker 7: to Rich, you must live in Rhode Island.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Ice cream. Ice cream is number one in Rhode Island.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Ice Cream's good. Yeah, what about you, Colin? When you
- 3:48Speaker 1: broke up? And you were broken up and I was
- 3:50Speaker 1: broken up?
- 3:51Speaker 4: I am some like I find comfort in sweets. So
- 3:55Speaker 4: my favorite dessert is cheesecake. So if I were to
- 3:59Speaker 4: be broken up, will probably sign me a cheesecake factory
- 4:01Speaker 4: getting the dulcet a leched cheesecake.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Okay, so break the cheesecake? Would that break up out? Under?
- 4:07Speaker 7: There's cake, there's candy, there's cupcakes, there's cookies, there's donuts.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Where would you put that under it? There isn't a
- 4:12Speaker 1: cheesecake category. It maybe cake cake?
- 4:15Speaker 7: So then you obviously must be from Louisiana, Mississippi, Virginia.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Correct, what about you?
- 4:21Speaker 3: I'm trying to think about how I want to answer this,
- 4:23Speaker 3: because I fear mine is very depressing. Is there maybe
- 4:27Speaker 3: crown peach on that list.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I know what that is the liquor store. Liquor is
- 4:32Speaker 1: where I live.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I didn't care about there was no family.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Was my food? Let's say it's food, not alcohol.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Say well, it would be like probably like spaghettios.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a good one, like comfort food, spaghettios.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Pasta maybe, No, that's not in here? How do you
- 4:52Speaker 1: not have Pasta's? Breakup pizza's in here? Like a mac
- 4:54Speaker 1: and cheese. Mac and cheese is in here? Mac? Okay,
- 4:59Speaker 1: you're obviously from Maine and New Hampshire, obviously a lot
- 5:02Speaker 1: of East Coasters.
- 5:03Speaker 7: If waffles are your breakup food, it's Minnesota and Oregon, Tacos, Idaho, Kansas,
- 5:09Speaker 7: New Mexico, and Texas.
- 5:10Speaker 1: What about you, John Jay? What would be your breakup food?
- 5:14Speaker 1: I just my thing is all food.
- 5:16Speaker 7: I eat all food whenever I'm stressed, So probably I'd
- 5:18Speaker 7: probably go with Mexican food, Carnesota. If you're from Arizona,
- 5:21Speaker 7: California and Michigan, your breakup food is potato chips Illinois
- 5:27Speaker 7: and Nebraska, popcorn Connecticut and Massachusetts, pizza, North Dakota and Vermont,
- 5:33Speaker 7: garlic bread, Delaware, French toast, Nevada, French Fries, Oklahoma and
- 5:37Speaker 7: Arkansas Donuts cupcakes, you're from Maryland, New Jersey, New York
- 5:42Speaker 7: and Washington, d C.
- 5:43Speaker 6: I'm gonna throw the flag on garlic bread because I
- 5:46Speaker 6: think unless maybe you're like, well, I'm not kissing anybody tonight.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Well, I mean you just broke up, so you're probably
- 5:51Speaker 1: not right, Like I'm.
- 5:53Speaker 7: Fine, I'm gonna go garlic bread, Utah and Washington Cookies, Iowa, Missouri,
- 5:57Speaker 7: cookie dough Pennsylvania to want to change. If you're from Alaska, Montana,
- 6:04Speaker 7: and Wyoming, it is chicken noodle soup. And if you
- 6:07Speaker 7: are from Hawaii, is a candy. And if you from
- 6:11Speaker 7: South Dakota then would Breaku food is Hamburgers.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Hamburgers is a good choice too.
- 6:15Speaker 7: Ham Burgers. Rachel, good morning. I understand you got a
- 6:19Speaker 7: story about how your kid made you laugh.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:22Speaker 9: Yeah, Well it was kind of a funny situation because
- 6:25Speaker 9: I mean this was he was five, so who was younger?
- 6:27Speaker 9: And we had just had like a few of our
- 6:30Speaker 9: family members pass away pretty close together, and we were
- 6:34Speaker 9: talking about what happens when you pass away and what
- 6:36Speaker 9: are the options because our family members got cremated and
- 6:40Speaker 9: and so we're kind of explaining that process, and then
- 6:42Speaker 9: like five minutes later we're just out of the blue,
- 6:45Speaker 9: he's like, mom's dad, I don't think I want to
- 6:48Speaker 9: be even roasted.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Oh my god, yes, so dark.
- 6:53Speaker 9: I'm know for some reason, we thought, like he associated.
- 6:56Speaker 9: We explained there was like flames and people would go
- 6:58Speaker 9: to ashes, and he thought an oven.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Smart kid, that's actually that's like an accurate depiction.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Yeah, that's hilarious. I feel like kids in funerals in
- 7:11Speaker 3: general have some like bizarre things to say because you
- 7:13Speaker 3: don't really understand, you get it. My mom loves to
- 7:16Speaker 3: tell a story when I was like three or four,
- 7:18Speaker 3: when my aunt Kathy had passed away. They had an
- 7:20Speaker 3: open casket. So we're all walking by and apparently my
- 7:23Speaker 3: mom's holding me and I'm like looking around and I'm like,
- 7:27Speaker 3: everyone be quite. She's sleeping, you know what I mean,
- 7:33Speaker 3: Like you just don't know, like they're just little kiddos,
- 7:36Speaker 3: and my aunt Kathy did not.
- 7:39Speaker 4: She got up and.
- 7:41Speaker 9: The day we still bring it up. It's really funny.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I kind of like it.
- 7:46Speaker 6: If I'm a funeral home, I start offering that as
- 7:48Speaker 6: an option. It sounds a little more pleasant and cremated,
- 7:50Speaker 6: doesn't it. I don't know rosted for your family, and
- 7:56Speaker 6: I don't know, Rachel, good marketing, good marketing from that kid,
- 7:59Speaker 6: start showing how your your young child Tim Burton movies
- 8:01Speaker 6: right away?
- 8:04Speaker 1: It's done. Do you mind if I chime in on this? Okay?
- 8:08Speaker 5: So, uh, Rachel's story reminded me of my grandpa passed
- 8:13Speaker 5: last year, right, and I gave the eulogy, and I'm
- 8:16Speaker 5: like going through it, I'm very emotional and I'm just
- 8:18Speaker 5: like just just crying as soon as I step up
- 8:21Speaker 5: to the to the altar or whatever it's.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Called the electron, and uh, I go.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Man, every time my grandpa would answer the phone when
- 8:29Speaker 5: I'd call him, he'd always answer Hello, Nicholas, and I
- 8:33Speaker 5: would do anything to hear that again. And without even
- 8:37Speaker 5: a second, my son yells hello Nicholas.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Church and so that in turn made me laugh and
- 8:47Speaker 1: also cry.
- 8:49Speaker 5: And then when we were done, like he only said
- 8:51Speaker 5: it like four or five more times during the eulogy.
- 8:54Speaker 5: So then yeah, he was like he was like, Okay,
- 8:56Speaker 5: well I got it once. But uh, anyway, great show,
- 8:58Speaker 5: have a great weekend. Ni nick Sen is twenty one
- 9:01Speaker 5: years old to which made you weird yell.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Alright, it's John Jay and Rich
