- 0:11SPEAKER_01: What is going on everyone?
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Welcome to The Stan R. Mitchell Show.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: My name is Stan and I am so glad you are here for another episode.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: We are less than three weeks away from the November 3rd midterms.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: I know early voting is already underway in some states and for other states it begins soon.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: And you would think if there was ever a time for the president to have a good week,
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: it would be this week,
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: the week when people are voting or about to start early voting.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: And I'm not sure that a single good thing happened for the president this week.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: It has been an awful week politically.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: And we're just going to run through all the things.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Some of which you've seen.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: Some of which you may not have seen.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Some of which will become bigger news in the coming days.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: In news about Iran, absolutely nothing good happened.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: First we get the news that the Pentagon increases the number of U.S. casualties.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: They have quietly raised the number of those who have died and those who have been wounded.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: The number of dead has been increased to 21 up from 18.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: And then the number of wounded is now at 865 wounded.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: 865.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: So that news happened.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: At the same time,
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: you've got Iran,
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: who is increasingly targeting more of the oil tankers that are moving through.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Since the last episode,
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: there has been an increase in the number of strikes and the number
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: of ships attacked.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: The Stan R. Mitchell Show is now at the worst level since the start of the war.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: There have been 24 of them targeted in the past two weeks.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: There were six on Sunday alone.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: To assume about 20 to 25 daily transits as of Sunday, the hit rate was about 25%.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: 25%.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: Not a great thing.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: At the same time,
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: you had the attack in Saudi Arabia where the Houthis,
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: who are obviously backed by Iran,
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: they are the rebel group in Yemen,
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: They have struck Saudi Arabia and in a major attack against the airport.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: 12 killed, more than 300 injured.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: I mean, those are big numbers.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: It was the deadliest attack on a Gulf Arab country ever.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Since the war with Iran began in February, the airport had to close.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Saudi Arabia was just embarrassed.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Couldn't have been worse timing for them.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: They have a number of various conferences happening right now and so...
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: You know,
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: the Saudi prince Mohammed bin Salman obviously has ambitions to turn Saudi Arabia
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: into this global travel and business hub.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Had major international events planned for the coming weeks,
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: and their capital city, International Airport, is getting hit.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: With strikes.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: Not even from Iran, but from a rebel group to the south, Yemen.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: So, the Saudis had a rough week, which means the president had a rough week.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: Because he has to somehow figure out how to...
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: Deal with this brewing mess that is ongoing well into seven months into the war.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: Something he hoped would only last four to six weeks.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: Something he told everyone would be easy and not easy.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: Very just ugly.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: We've had to pull back from bases and no one sees any way that this gets any better
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: unless by some miracle the Iranian regime collapses.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: And have you noticed that You don't hear a lot of conservatives talking about
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: the Iran war anymore.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: So many,
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: when this thing kicked off,
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: were bragging about how this would go,
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: how Iran was finally going to get what it deserved.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: But across the shows, you rarely see anyone talking about it.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: And as the news reported a few weeks ago,
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: there are increasingly Republicans who are in tight races who are having to tell
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: the president, we think the war should end.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: Definitely not a good look for the GOP right before the midterms.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: And the worst part for these farmers and these truck drivers,
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: especially the owner-operators, is that diesel fuel prices have gone up.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: They surged 5% on Tuesday, which is their highest level in weeks.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: And this is despite a deal that the president put together to import diesel from Russia.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: Now that deal alone, as you've probably seen in the news, caused all kinds of controversy.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: Even Trump's former Vice President,
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: Mike Pence,
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: who served under Trump from 2017 to 2021,
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: he condemned this decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: He called it a lifeline for Putin's war machine.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: And he said in a statement, Putin doesn't want peace.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: Putin wants Ukraine.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: And he urged the president to rescind the deal.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: And it's not just Mike Pence.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: Laura Loomer,
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: one of the president's biggest supporters,
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: and certainly most vocal,
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: she said,
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: buying Russian oil puts money back into the coffers of the Islamic regime of Iran
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: that chants, Death to America.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: Again, she's just stating the obvious.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: Buying Russian oil puts money back into the coffers of the Islamic regime of Iran
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: that chants death to America.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: And of course, it obviously helps fund the war and the invasion of Ukraine.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: Besides Mike Pence, a number of bipartisan senators wrote a letter to the president.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: They warned him that this deal is not something that's good for our country or the world.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: All of this was pretty bad, but the president managed to make himself look even more foolish.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: At one point,
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: just a few days ago,
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: on October 12th, he said that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to a ceasefire.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: And turns out that wasn't the case.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: There was bombings from both sides.
- 7:05SPEAKER_01: Ukraine said, hey, we're willing to do a ceasefire if Russia will quit.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Well, Russia wouldn't quit.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: So then the president was asked about it.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: And he said, and you can see the video, I'll put this in the episode notes.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: He said, well, they agreed.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: You know why?
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: Because I said, you agree.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: That's why.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: So apparently the president, according to his own words, told...
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: Ukraine and Russia that there is a ceasefire,
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: which neither side agreed to,
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: and which lasted 10 seconds if it lasted 10 seconds at all.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: Again, not the look of a strong and powerful president by any stretch of the imagination.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: But the president wasn't happy enough with buying some diesel from Russia.
- 7:49SPEAKER_01: It appears as though he may have put some pressure on Elon Musk
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: because there is widespread reporting that Starlink has been restricted in Ukraine.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: Unexpectedly restricted service which undercuts Ukraine's fight against Russia.
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: There are lots of people howling about this.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: U.S.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: Senators, countries in Europe...
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: And this happened again without warning,
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: affected some of the Both defenses and attacks that Ukraine was trying to conduct.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: And many people are speculating that the president called Elon Musk or put pressure
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: on him to do this.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: This is,
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: of course,
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: the same Elon Musk who donated heavily to the Trump and GOP campaigns
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: during this last election and has already done so during the midterms.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: One columnist for the Telegraph said that Trump and Elon Musk,
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: he accused them of, quote, throwing Ukraine to the wolves.
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: And he argued that Starlink restrictions have disrupted Ukrainian frontline operations.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: And he said the move has fueled feelings of betrayal in Ukraine as U.S.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: pressure on Ukraine grows.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: And it's always interesting how the pressure is always on Ukraine but never Russia.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: It's always on the defender and not the aggressor.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: It's just very curious how the president is always so pro-Russia.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: Ukraine has been enduring some just horrific attacks on its capital city.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: This week at one point they had 600,000 people in the capital city without power.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: And of course this without warning curbing of the use of
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: The Starlink may have played a role in this, so this is just not great news.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: Now, Ukraine continues to do well on the battlefield.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: They also managed to not only hit some oil infrastructure of Russia,
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: which is part of what is really making the president mad,
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: but in addition to that, they knocked out Some of the data centers in Russia.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: Three of them.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: These are called the Yandex data centers.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: That wipes out GPS, payment systems, taxi apps, some of the largest websites in Russia.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: And the people are...
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: They're livid about this.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: It'd be like losing cloud services in the U.S. of like Google or something.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: Or maybe even worse because it's also some of the payments processing that happens.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: And some analysts say it may take six months for Russia to get these put back in place.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: Now, it's hard for me to imagine them going without it for six months.
- 10:51SPEAKER_01: But There was certainly widespread damage caused to all three centers,
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: and there was even reporting that the number of bots on X,
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: basically trolls and other automated accounts out of Russia
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: that have been stoking division and pushing conspiracy theories,
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: they almost all just plummeted overnight.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: Now at the same time that all of this was happening,
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: the White House also had the embarrassment of Kimberly Guilfoyle,
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: the ambassador to Greece.
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: Allegations of a scandal and her needing payments to pay off
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: an American Express bill of $100,000 before the confirmation hearings.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: This got so bad so fast that the president has asked her to resign.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: She has resigned now, so that did happen.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: And it's funny how fast the president has just thrown her under the bus.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, we know that loyalty only goes one way for the president.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: And just earlier this year, he said that Kimberly Guilfoyle has been my friend for a long time.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: He said, I love calling her Kimberly.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: Now, a reminder,
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: Kimberly,
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: who was engaged to Don Jr.,
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: they broke up two years ago,
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: which was about the time that Donald Trump got re-elected.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: So, honestly, not that long ago.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: Not that long ago at all.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: So as if all of this isn't bad enough,
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: on the same week that the president is saying Ukraine needs a new president,
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: that Zelensky should resign because he's not run for re-election,
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: even though the president never says anything about elections regarding Putin or...
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: Kim Jong Un in North Korea,
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: or about the leader of Saudi Arabia,
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: or a half dozen other dictatorships around the world,
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: on the same week that this happens,
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: On the same week that even a bipartisan group of senators writes him
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: about buying diesel fuel from Russia,
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: on the same week that they're saying that Russia and China are fueling and funding
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: and giving intel to Iran,
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: which all of the intelligence agencies have confirmed,
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: the president also goes so far as to put this comment up.
- 13:43SPEAKER_01: I see so many comments from the radical left morons and lunatics saying,
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: That China and Russia are helping the, quote, wonderful Islamic Republic of Iran.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: If they are, it's at a very low level.
- 13:55SPEAKER_01: But I don't believe they are at all.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: They have too much to lose, and we would know about it.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: And know about it very fast!
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald J. Trump.
- 14:11SPEAKER_01: This is just unbelievable that he would put this line out there.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: I mean, does he not realize that even Fox News has been reporting about the links
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: between Iran, Russia, and China?
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: I did a Google search.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: One of the top results, I'll put a link in the episode notes, is back from August.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: This isn't even new.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: We're in October.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: All the way back to August.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: Story in Fox News.
- 14:40SPEAKER_01: President Trump dismisses Russia-Iran satellite imagery claims.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: I don't know why he's so pro-Russia, pro-Putin, but I don't think people are buying it anymore.
- 14:55SPEAKER_01: I don't think these statements he's making are having any impact at all except
- 15:00SPEAKER_01: to hurt his rapidly plummeting poll numbers as they should be.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't know what else to say, but like, bro, you are Team Putin.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: This is really where you want to be.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: You're Team Putin right now.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: All of this is just devastating political news.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: But making it even worse is Joe Rogan today drops a recording that...
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: I'm just going to let you hear it, but he does not hold back from attacking the president.
- 15:35SPEAKER_01: Imagine Joe Rogan,
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: who we all know helped get the president elected,
- 15:39SPEAKER_01: dropping this to about 40 million to 100 million listeners the week
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: that people are early voting.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: What Trump stood for, some of it turned out to not be real.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: One of them was the no wars.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: Well, look, we're at a war with Iran, so that wasn't real.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: The other thing was closing the border.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: That is real.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: But then with that, then you have the, you know, Tim Dillon had a great description of ice.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: He said former backyard carnival wrestlers who took like a seven-week course.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: It's nuts to just give someone a $50,000 signing bonus,
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: you train them for seven weeks,
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: and then give them guns,
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: and you have a militarized force running through the fucking city streets.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: And put a mask on your face.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: And put a mask on your face.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Look, I can understand why they have to put a mask on their face, because they get targeted.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: But it's also,
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: it's like,
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: we're setting a weird precedent if you allow a militarized force to just go through
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: the cities with no identification.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: They don't have to have identification.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: Now with all of this going on, the Cook Political Report is just one of many media outlets
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: That are increasingly predicting just a catastrophe for Republicans.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: And just this week, they announced that they are moving four races for governor.
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: All of them in the Democrats' direction.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: In the state of Red Alaska, where Trump just flew to.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: I mean, imagine flying eight hours on Air Force One to a red state to try
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: to bail out Some candidates up there,
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: but in red state Alaska,
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: they just changed that from a toss-up,
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: meaning it's 50-50, could go either way, to lean Democrat.
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: Alaska, for the governor's race up there.
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: And then the three states of Oklahoma,
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: Nebraska,
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: and Vermont,
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: on those three governor races,
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: those went from solid Republican to likely Republican.
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: So, I mean,
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: the Cook Political Report,
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: which is one of the most renowned polling and political operations out there,
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: been around for decades,
- 18:14SPEAKER_01: just said that Oklahoma and Nebraska,
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: we're not sure if it's solid Republican anymore.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: It's likely Republican, as they're saying, but we're not sure.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: Numbers are pretty rough out here.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, that is just brutal.
- 18:32SPEAKER_01: So what could all this mean?
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: Well, Steve Bannon,
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: one of the brains on the right,
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: one of the political strategists that the president used to trust,
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: I think still trusts, he is putting out a message of real deep concern.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: And he said,
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: If the voters put in Democrats in the midterms,
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: he said, quote, I think you'll see Bobby Kennedy impeached.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: I think you'll see Pete Hegseth impeached.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: I think you'll see subpoenas flying every day.
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: They will look to destroy Trump and we'll be bogged down for two years.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: So what do you guys think?
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: Honestly, I think he's right.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: I think there will be lots of investigations and impeachments.
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: And I just don't see how Republicans don't lose the House and maybe even
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: the Senate here in a few weeks.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: Alright, let's close the show by just sharing a little faith and encouragement.
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: And this week I mainly wanted to just talk about one topic, which is faith.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: And so I'm going to start by just reading a verse, verses from the New Testament.
- 19:49SPEAKER_01: And it is, For we walk by faith, not by sight.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: That's in 2 Corinthians 5, verse 7.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: And I just want to mention something I heard a pastor say on a podcast this week,
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: which is that,
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: When the devil is in our mind,
- 20:05SPEAKER_01: he said something that,
- 20:05SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: we start thinking the worst thoughts from,
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: maybe you have cancer or maybe you have whatever these horrible thoughts
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: in your mind or your spouse goes to run an errand or a kid or...
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: A loved one, and you start thinking, well, what if they have a car accident?
- 20:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, we think the most terrible negative things.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: And this pastor said something that was so good.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: He said, both fear and faith require you to believe something you can't see.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: If you spend your time not in prayer and not in reading the Bible,
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: then your mind will lead you to believe many dark things.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: We've seen too many dark things in our lives.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: And I thought that was just so good.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: And he just went on to say that,
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: sometimes we just are critical of ourselves and that no one will be more critical
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: of you than yourself.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: Whether this idea you had for a dream or whatever,
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 21:03SPEAKER_01: one day you're good or maybe even the same day and three hours later,
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: you're like, oh,
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: this will never work or I shouldn't ask for a raise or I shouldn't look for a job.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: We're just so negative.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: But we need to remember that both fear and faith require you
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: to believe something you can't see.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: So we need to fill our minds with meditating on God's Word and trying to pray
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: and spend time with God.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: And I just want to end by reading one more verse.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: Just a reminder that in the book of John it says,
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy God.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: Or I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly.
